4:09:58 > 4:10:02As a nation, we face the most important five years I can remember.

4:10:02 > 4:10:05Getting on with the job and making Brexit work

4:10:05 > 4:10:09is the most important task the government faces today.

4:10:09 > 4:10:12Our future prosperity, our place in the world

4:10:12 > 4:10:14and our standard of living

4:10:14 > 4:10:18all depend on getting the next five years right.

4:10:18 > 4:10:22This is why our plan for a stronger Britain will establish us

4:10:22 > 4:10:25as the strongest and safest country in Europe.

4:10:25 > 4:10:29It will lock in our growing economy so we can secure well-paid jobs.

4:10:29 > 4:10:32It will provide real opportunity for all,

4:10:32 > 4:10:34delivering more affordable homes

4:10:34 > 4:10:37and a good school place for every child,

4:10:37 > 4:10:41and it will make life in the United Kingdom even better.

4:10:41 > 4:10:45But our opponents are already seeking to disrupt our chances

4:10:45 > 4:10:47of getting the best deal possible.

4:10:47 > 4:10:52That is why I took the decision to call a General Election,

4:10:52 > 4:10:55so that we have the strong and stable leadership we need

4:10:55 > 4:10:58to see us through Brexit and beyond.

4:10:59 > 4:11:01The choice at the election is clear.

4:11:01 > 4:11:05Strong and stable leadership with me in the national interest,

4:11:05 > 4:11:08where what you see is what you get,

4:11:08 > 4:11:12or a hung parliament and coalition of chaos under Jeremy Corbyn,

4:11:12 > 4:11:16which every single one of us will pay for in higher taxes,

4:11:16 > 4:11:20fewer jobs, more waste and more debt.

4:11:20 > 4:11:23This will harm working families.

4:11:23 > 4:11:26That is too big a risk to take.

4:11:26 > 4:11:29Some people say Jeremy Corbyn as Prime Minister

4:11:29 > 4:11:30is not going to happen,

4:11:30 > 4:11:32but in the days of shock election results

4:11:32 > 4:11:37and global uncertainty, no-one can ever really be sure who will win.

4:11:38 > 4:11:43Just remember, the polls got the General Election wrong in 2015,

4:11:43 > 4:11:45they got the EU referendum wrong

4:11:45 > 4:11:49and, as Jeremy Corbyn has himself said, he was a 200-1 chance

4:11:49 > 4:11:52for the Labour leadership, and look how that went.

4:11:52 > 4:11:56So, surely it is better to avoid the chaos because,

4:11:56 > 4:11:59if it does happen, we will all pay for it.

4:11:59 > 4:12:04So at every election, whether local, regional or national,

4:12:04 > 4:12:07every single vote for my local candidates

4:12:07 > 4:12:09and my party, the Conservatives,

4:12:09 > 4:12:14is a vote for strong and stable leadership in the national interest.

4:12:14 > 4:12:17It is a vote to strengthen my negotiating position,

4:12:17 > 4:12:20to ensure we get the best Brexit deal possible,

4:12:20 > 4:12:23and it is a vote to strengthen our economy.

4:12:23 > 4:12:27So, on May 4th and June 8th, vote for my candidate,

4:12:27 > 4:12:29the Conservative candidate,

4:12:29 > 4:12:32and together let's get on with the job

4:12:32 > 4:12:34of making life better for all of us.
