0:00:42 > 0:00:43and they're made in secret
0:00:43 > 0:00:46by a bureaucratic group of commissioners,
0:00:46 > 0:00:48not one of whom is elected,
0:00:48 > 0:00:51none of whom we can get rid of and who don't have to listen to us.
0:00:51 > 0:00:54It's a bureaucratic nightmare committed to neoliberalism.
0:00:54 > 0:00:59No wonder Bob Crow and Tony Benn supported No2EU.
0:00:59 > 0:01:03We campaign for an exit from the EU but unlike UKIP,
0:01:03 > 0:01:07we support policies for the millions, not the millionaires.
0:01:09 > 0:01:12UKIP wants to abolish health and safety laws.
0:01:12 > 0:01:14No2EU wants them strengthened.
0:01:14 > 0:01:19UKIP wants to protect the City bankers from regulation.
0:01:19 > 0:01:22No2EU would take the banks into public ownership
0:01:22 > 0:01:24and tax the speculators.
0:01:24 > 0:01:30UKIP wants to privatise our NHS. No2EU wants to protect it.
0:01:31 > 0:01:34And where UKIP peddles fear and division between workers,
0:01:34 > 0:01:37No2EU stands for equal rights for all.

0:01:42 > 0:01:46Behind all the Euro babble, the EU
0:01:46 > 0:01:49enforces the interests of big business.
0:01:49 > 0:01:54The Troika, the EU Commission, the European Central Bank
0:01:54 > 0:01:56and the International Monetary Fund
0:01:56 > 0:02:00have bailed out the banks on a massive scale
0:02:00 > 0:02:03and it's ordinary people who are paying the price.
0:02:03 > 0:02:08From Ireland and Portugal, across to Cyprus,
0:02:08 > 0:02:11millions of workers have been thrown out of their jobs.
0:02:11 > 0:02:15Public services shut down or privatised,
0:02:15 > 0:02:18and wages, benefits and pensions slashed.
0:02:20 > 0:02:24Elected governments that stood in the way of
0:02:24 > 0:02:27EU's slash and burn policies, as in Greece and Italy,
0:02:27 > 0:02:31were replaced with unelected so-called technocrats.
0:02:31 > 0:02:35The harsh reality is that EU domination means five things.
0:02:35 > 0:02:40First, member countries lose the right to govern themselves.
0:02:40 > 0:02:44Our elected parliaments, assemblies and councils
0:02:44 > 0:02:47are increasingly restricted by EU law.
0:02:47 > 0:02:52Second, European Court judgements allow multinational companies
0:02:52 > 0:02:56to undermine hard-won standards of pay and conditions.
0:02:56 > 0:03:01Third, the EU is dismantling our welfare state and public services,
0:03:01 > 0:03:06opening them up to European and American corporations.
0:03:06 > 0:03:11Fourth, the EU has created an enormous pool of migrant workers
0:03:11 > 0:03:15driven from job to job and from country to country.
0:03:15 > 0:03:20No2EU's answer is not to attack super-exploited workers,
0:03:20 > 0:03:25it's to invest in the communities where people live and want to stay
0:03:25 > 0:03:28and to protect labour standards for everybody
0:03:28 > 0:03:31against greedy and ruthless employers.
0:03:31 > 0:03:35Finally, the EU is developing its own army to,
0:03:35 > 0:03:38in the words of former Commission President Jacques Delors,
0:03:38 > 0:03:41"Fight the resource wars of the 21st-century."
0:03:41 > 0:03:44Today's unelected EU President Barroso
0:03:44 > 0:03:46refers to the union as an empire.
0:03:46 > 0:03:49The empire's common foreign policy means that
0:03:49 > 0:03:52we are embroiled in one deadly fiasco after another,
0:03:52 > 0:03:56from Libya to Syria and now the Ukraine.
0:03:56 > 0:03:58No2EU opposes EU and NATO interference
0:03:58 > 0:04:01in the affairs of other countries.
0:04:01 > 0:04:03We certainly don't want to be shackled to
0:04:03 > 0:04:06the fascist forces now re-emerging in Europe.
0:04:06 > 0:04:09They thrive on the unemployment and despair
0:04:09 > 0:04:11created by austerity policies.
0:04:11 > 0:04:14We stand instead for democratic sovereignty,
0:04:14 > 0:04:18for freedom for the peoples of Scotland, Wales and England
0:04:18 > 0:04:20to decide their own policies,
0:04:20 > 0:04:24including trade links with other countries around the world.
0:04:24 > 0:04:28Our candidates include professors and factory workers,
0:04:28 > 0:04:32nurses and civil servants, carers and transport staff.
