0:00:08 > 0:00:10Whilst David Cameron tells people everything was fixed,

0:00:10 > 0:00:13and Alex Salmond only talks about the referendum,

0:00:13 > 0:00:14Scots are worried

0:00:14 > 0:00:19that their wages are falling and bills are getting harder to afford.

0:00:19 > 0:00:26Gas and electricity bills have increased by more than £300 for an average family,

0:00:26 > 0:00:29while the energy companies are making huge profits.

0:00:29 > 0:00:30Meanwhile, childcare -

0:00:30 > 0:00:35not a luxury, but an essential for millions of working families -

0:00:35 > 0:00:38gets harder to find, and more expensive.

0:00:38 > 0:00:42With the SNP, they promise more childcare after independence,

0:00:42 > 0:00:44but they could be providing it today.

0:00:46 > 0:00:49And whilst claiming to be cutting taxes,

0:00:49 > 0:00:54the Tories have put up taxes 24 times on hard-working families.

0:00:54 > 0:00:57The increase in VAT alone

0:00:57 > 0:01:00has cost the average family £450

0:01:00 > 0:01:02by putting up the price

0:01:02 > 0:01:05of dozens of everyday essentials -

0:01:05 > 0:01:09a cost-of-living crisis for many working people.

0:01:09 > 0:01:14However, there is one group Alex Salmond and David Cameron care about.

0:01:14 > 0:01:16While ordinary families struggle,

0:01:16 > 0:01:20they want to hand tax cuts to the richest.

0:01:20 > 0:01:22The SNP and the Tories both want

0:01:22 > 0:01:26to keep tax cuts for millionaires and big businesses,

0:01:26 > 0:01:28at the same time as personal debt

0:01:28 > 0:01:33for ordinary families is rising and wages are squeezed.

0:01:33 > 0:01:35And the SNP are now planning

0:01:35 > 0:01:39a tax cut for big business if Scotland votes for independence.

0:01:39 > 0:01:43Under the SNP, tens of thousands of young people

0:01:43 > 0:01:48have lost out on a college education because of the SNP's cuts.

0:01:48 > 0:01:52So instead of training for their next job, they are out of work.

0:01:52 > 0:01:54Under the SNP and the Tories,

0:01:54 > 0:02:00the average working person is a shocking £1,600 a year worse off.

0:02:00 > 0:02:05Dealing with the cost-of-living crisis has never been so important.

0:02:05 > 0:02:08Scotland can do much better than this.
