0:00:10 > 0:00:16Once upon a time, there was a land with rolling green hills,

0:00:16 > 0:00:19deep, blue lakes and sparkling shores.

0:00:19 > 0:00:21But something was wrong.

0:00:21 > 0:00:24The land was being spoiled.

0:00:24 > 0:00:27Loud, angry voices shouted over everyone

0:00:27 > 0:00:30and the people drifted away from each other

0:00:30 > 0:00:32and became isolated and fearful.

0:00:33 > 0:00:38The hills, lakes and shores became dismal and grey.

0:00:38 > 0:00:40"What a waste," said the people.

0:00:40 > 0:00:42A large machine was built

0:00:42 > 0:00:46to end the wasted opportunities that blighted the land.

0:00:46 > 0:00:48It was called Stormont.

0:00:50 > 0:00:53"To make Stormont work," the people were told,

0:00:53 > 0:00:56"you need some very important men,

0:00:56 > 0:01:00"and maybe, just maybe, some very important women.

0:01:00 > 0:01:04"You must call them MLAs

0:01:04 > 0:01:08"and they will spend billions of pounds to make Stormont work.

0:01:09 > 0:01:11"This will reduce the waste."

0:01:11 > 0:01:14But this did not happen.

0:01:14 > 0:01:17The machine often got blocked by some of the MLAs.

0:01:19 > 0:01:23They had to keep bringing in men from America to fix it.

0:01:23 > 0:01:26"What a waste!" the people cried again.

0:01:26 > 0:01:30But there was one MLA who did get things done.

0:01:30 > 0:01:35His name was Steven Agnew and he was in the Green Party.

0:01:35 > 0:01:38The Green Party hated the waste.

0:01:38 > 0:01:42In fact, they wanted zero waste.

0:01:42 > 0:01:46Even though he was the only Green in the Assembly,

0:01:46 > 0:01:51he introduced a law to make Stormont work better for children,

0:01:51 > 0:01:55stood up for equality for all the people,

0:01:55 > 0:01:58protected the hills and lakes and shores

0:01:58 > 0:02:00from those who were causing damage.

0:02:02 > 0:02:06"What if there were other Greens in the Assembly?" he thought.

0:02:06 > 0:02:09"Think of the difference two, three

0:02:09 > 0:02:12"or even 18 Greens could make.

0:02:12 > 0:02:16"Then we could all live happily ever after."

0:02:17 > 0:02:20More and more people have joined the Green Party

0:02:20 > 0:02:23and it's now bigger than ever, but if we're going to end the waste,

0:02:23 > 0:02:26we need more Green MLAs in Stormont.

0:02:26 > 0:02:29We have 18 candidates, so for the first time,

0:02:29 > 0:02:33no matter where you are in Northern Ireland, you can vote Green.

0:02:33 > 0:02:38I'm very proud that we're standing an equal number of women and men

0:02:38 > 0:02:43because we believe Stormont should reflect our society.
