0:00:10 > 0:00:13We all have hopes and fears for the future

0:00:13 > 0:00:17and for the lives our children and grandchildren will lead.

0:00:17 > 0:00:21I want to build a Britain where everyone feels secure,

0:00:21 > 0:00:25so our long-term economic plan is building a stronger,

0:00:25 > 0:00:28more competitive economy and securing our country's future.

0:00:30 > 0:00:33We're reducing the deficit so we deal with our debts,

0:00:33 > 0:00:36safeguard our economy for the long-term

0:00:36 > 0:00:38and keep mortgage rates low.

0:00:38 > 0:00:40We're cutting income tax and freezing fuel duty

0:00:40 > 0:00:44to help hard-working people be more financially secure.

0:00:45 > 0:00:46We're creating more jobs

0:00:46 > 0:00:48by backing small business and enterprise,

0:00:48 > 0:00:52with better infrastructure and lower jobs taxes.

0:00:52 > 0:00:55We're capping welfare and reducing immigration,

0:00:55 > 0:00:58so our economy delivers for people

0:00:58 > 0:01:00who want to work hard and play by the rules.

0:01:00 > 0:01:01And we're delivering

0:01:01 > 0:01:03the best schools and skills

0:01:03 > 0:01:04for our young people,

0:01:04 > 0:01:06so the next generation

0:01:06 > 0:01:08can succeed in the global race.

0:01:09 > 0:01:13Our plan is working, but there is still much more to do.

0:01:13 > 0:01:16There are many risks to the recovery

0:01:16 > 0:01:18and many more difficult decisions ahead.

0:01:18 > 0:01:21We cannot go back to Labour's way

0:01:21 > 0:01:24of more borrowing, more spending and more taxes.

0:01:24 > 0:01:27It wrecked our economy once and would do so again.

0:01:28 > 0:01:33Instead, we need to carry on working through the long-term economic plan

0:01:33 > 0:01:35that is securing Britain's future

0:01:35 > 0:01:38and helping hard-working people right across the country.

0:01:40 > 0:01:43I think reducing the deficit is important for our children

0:01:43 > 0:01:45because, in effect, if we don't,

0:01:45 > 0:01:49they'll be saddled with higher taxes in the future.

0:01:49 > 0:01:54The budget deficit has got to be cut as much as we can.

0:01:54 > 0:01:56We can't live on borrowed money,

0:01:56 > 0:01:59we can't go on borrowing money and spending it.

0:01:59 > 0:02:03I've got a mortgage and having low interest rates over the last few years has been really beneficial

0:02:03 > 0:02:06because it's given me more money to spend on other things.

0:02:06 > 0:02:09In the next couple of years, I'll be looking to get on the mortgage ladder myself,

0:02:09 > 0:02:12so if mortgage rates are low then that's a great thing for me.

0:02:12 > 0:02:14So I've saved ?500 on my income tax, so that means that

0:02:14 > 0:02:18I can then go out and spoil my son, it can be put towards bills

0:02:18 > 0:02:20and it just means that my quality of life is improved.

0:02:20 > 0:02:23I think it's important that everybody should be encouraged

0:02:23 > 0:02:26to go to work and should be incentivised to do so

0:02:26 > 0:02:29and not be given what some may deem as an easy option

0:02:29 > 0:02:31to stay at home on benefits.

0:02:31 > 0:02:33I think Great Britain's a fantastic country

0:02:33 > 0:02:37and anyone coming here should be coming here for the right reasons -

0:02:37 > 0:02:42to contribute, to get involved and basically just to get on in life.

0:02:42 > 0:02:43I think immigration is something

0:02:43 > 0:02:45that the whole country's concerned about.

0:02:45 > 0:02:48I, personally, am quite proud to be British, I'm proud of my country,

0:02:48 > 0:02:50it's a very positive and great country.

0:02:50 > 0:02:54Lots of people want to come here. I think we just need to make sure the people that are coming here

0:02:54 > 0:02:56are coming here for the right reasons.

0:02:56 > 0:02:59Wonderful to see new jobs coming up, new businesses coming up

0:02:59 > 0:03:01and new people having employment.

0:03:01 > 0:03:04Over the last two years, really, I've been in and out of work

0:03:04 > 0:03:09and not really had the confidence to, like, spend any money, really,

0:03:09 > 0:03:12book nice holidays or anything like that.

0:03:12 > 0:03:14Now I've got a fantastic job.

0:03:14 > 0:03:16Not only that, I've got a really bright future

0:03:16 > 0:03:18for the next three years. A lot of work coming in

0:03:18 > 0:03:21and it just feels fantastic, really, to have, you know,

0:03:21 > 0:03:24the thought of having three years work ahead of me,

0:03:24 > 0:03:28being self-employed, and I can book holidays...

0:03:28 > 0:03:31I've just got a lot more confidence within myself,

0:03:31 > 0:03:34which, with that, just means I'm a lot happier person.
