1:36:06 > 1:36:10I think my political beliefs are really quite straightforward.
1:36:10 > 1:36:12I believe that our country needs to work for everyone.
1:36:12 > 1:36:15Not just for the rich, not just for the privileged,
1:36:15 > 1:36:17not just for those who know the right people or who've got
1:36:17 > 1:36:21the loudest voices, but a country that really works for everyone,
1:36:21 > 1:36:23where every single person
1:36:23 > 1:36:26has the opportunity to be who they want to be.
1:36:26 > 1:36:29In order to make sure that the country works for everyone,
1:36:29 > 1:36:30we've got to fight for it.
1:36:30 > 1:36:33Standing up for the vulnerable, for the voiceless,
1:36:33 > 1:36:38against those who feel that they're strong and powerful.
1:36:38 > 1:36:41If you're doing the right thing, then you must do that however
1:36:41 > 1:36:45difficult it is, even if there seems to be an easier path to take.
1:36:45 > 1:36:46You need to have a plan,
1:36:46 > 1:36:51you need to have a vision as to what you want to do, but above that,
1:36:51 > 1:36:54you actually need to have determination to see it through.
1:36:54 > 1:36:57There's a streak of public service that's in me,
1:36:57 > 1:36:58it comes from my parents.
1:36:58 > 1:37:01I think it's important that people give something back, I think that's
1:37:01 > 1:37:04what makes our country strong, it makes our communities strong.
1:37:04 > 1:37:06I see it in my local communities -
1:37:06 > 1:37:10people coming together for the general good.
1:37:10 > 1:37:13As Prime Minister, I have the opportunity
1:37:13 > 1:37:15to deliver the change that people want,
1:37:15 > 1:37:20the change that I think people voted for back on June 23rd.
1:37:20 > 1:37:23Making sure that we have a government that is on the side
1:37:23 > 1:37:25of ordinary working-class people.
1:37:25 > 1:37:30That we can ensure that we're not just getting the right deal for
1:37:30 > 1:37:34Britain abroad, we're also getting a better deal for people here.
1:37:34 > 1:37:36We're going to deliver on Brexit.
1:37:36 > 1:37:40It won't be straightforward and we can't be rushed,
1:37:40 > 1:37:42but we will deliver on it.
1:37:42 > 1:37:45We have the fifth largest economy in the world,
1:37:45 > 1:37:47employment is at a record high.
1:37:47 > 1:37:52Last year we were the second fastest growing major economy in the world,
1:37:52 > 1:37:55so there are real fundamental strengths to the British economy.
1:37:55 > 1:37:58I think there are opportunities for us to be trading
1:37:58 > 1:38:03around the world in a way that we haven't been able to do up to now,
1:38:03 > 1:38:04forging new relationships,
1:38:04 > 1:38:07new partnerships with other countries around the world.
1:38:07 > 1:38:10Britain is a country which is playing its role
1:38:10 > 1:38:14on a world stage, taking the opportunities that being
1:38:14 > 1:38:17a bold and confident and outward-looking nation provide.
1:38:17 > 1:38:21But crucially, that we are a great meritocracy.
1:38:21 > 1:38:24What should determine how you get on in life should be
1:38:24 > 1:38:26your hard work and your talents,
1:38:26 > 1:38:29not where you were born or who your parents were,
1:38:29 > 1:38:31what god you worship or not,
1:38:31 > 1:38:35or whether you're a man or a woman, black or white, straight or gay.
1:38:35 > 1:38:38That's what I believe in, that's my plan for Britain,
1:38:38 > 1:38:42and together we can build a stronger, fairer, better Britain.
