0:00:17 > 0:00:26This is my little boy. He's not a headline.

0:00:26 > 0:00:30headline. He's not Joshua, stabbed to death in a club, a statistic.

0:00:30 > 0:00:35He's my little boy.Growing up, didn't really look up to anybody

0:00:35 > 0:00:39myself. Watching the kids go through the same now, something needed to.

0:00:39 > 0:00:43There is nothing around here for the kids. The age group has just been

0:00:43 > 0:00:47forgotten about. We took over the old school

0:00:47 > 0:00:53building, a very busy youth centre. Full every night. I was in there for

0:00:53 > 0:00:5818 years and it was valuable. For the funding has been cut, it is so

0:00:58 > 0:01:02sad. Over six or seven years, seeing the

0:01:02 > 0:01:07young people just getting more and more fed up, just walking about in

0:01:07 > 0:01:11gangs and that. We are so used to all the stuff that

0:01:11 > 0:01:16is happening, petrol bombings and stuff, messing in people's houses.

0:01:16 > 0:01:21People are getting murdered. I don't even see police, I don't see no one.

0:01:21 > 0:01:25Seven, nearly eight, years of consistent cuts have devastated the

0:01:25 > 0:01:29police service. One obvious thing as police officers have disappeared

0:01:29 > 0:01:32from the streets, from safer neighbourhood team some proactive

0:01:32 > 0:01:36patrol. There are very few police officers now.

0:01:36 > 0:01:41We are one of the wealthiest countries in the world and cannot

0:01:41 > 0:01:43provide basic security services. You get burgled, please might come four

0:01:43 > 0:01:48or five days later. You are resulted, police do not have time to

0:01:48 > 0:01:52investigate. People are being left or to their own devices.

0:01:52 > 0:01:57There was nobody to talk to these kids in their area. We have about

0:01:57 > 0:02:02the kids to train. We started charging them, some of them could

0:02:02 > 0:02:05not afford it. We have seen a massive improvement in their

0:02:05 > 0:02:07behaviour. We have a service to help young

0:02:07 > 0:02:12people after school I was, reduce crime, reduce anti-social behaviour.

0:02:12 > 0:02:16Why can't that be something the Government would like to give back?

0:02:16 > 0:02:21This is not right. The public pay the money underfunding is not going

0:02:21 > 0:02:29into the police. As a police officer, we cannot do our job at the

0:02:29 > 0:02:31moment because we have not got the support.

0:02:31 > 0:02:34I feel so strongly about that, that is why I have left. The cuts are

0:02:34 > 0:02:38causing so many young people to lose their lives. They have no one to

0:02:38 > 0:02:42turn to. The social workers have been cut, the family centres have

0:02:42 > 0:02:46been cut. What support is therefore our communities?

0:02:46 > 0:02:51It may happen to a young person I am very close with, and I feel for me

0:02:51 > 0:02:55the impact of that will have me feel like I want to withdraw from my job,

0:02:55 > 0:02:58it would make me feel I have not done enough for the young people. I

0:02:58 > 0:03:06could do a lot more, but without the resources you are fighting a losing

0:03:06 > 0:03:08battle. When you lose a child, it breaks you

0:03:08 > 0:03:12and leaves a void in you that cannot be filled by anything.

0:03:12 > 0:03:20I sometimes stop and think to buy remember what his skin felt like?

0:03:20 > 0:03:24You know? -- sometimes stop and think, do I remember what his skin

0:03:24 > 0:03:30felt like? Do I remember what he felt like? His hair, his hands? I

0:03:30 > 0:03:36had to reassure myself I remember. # No help from the system, swear

0:03:36 > 0:03:41that they missed, left him alone. # Only friend that you have lives a

0:03:41 > 0:03:47life on the road, nowhere to go. # He walks with a knife and hides it

0:03:47 > 0:03:50at home. # We have heard it all a thousand

0:03:50 > 0:03:56times, now we are drawing down the battle lines.

0:03:56 > 0:04:03# We rise together. # We rise together.

0:04:03 > 0:04:08We need a change, we need somebody new leading this country, and it is

0:04:08 > 0:04:12not going to be the Government in power at the moment, because they

0:04:12 > 0:04:17are failing us. It is not rocket science. You are cutting everything,

0:04:17 > 0:04:21people are dying. I was a Tory voter and it rips your

0:04:21 > 0:04:24heart out when you see people elected to represent a country and

0:04:24 > 0:04:28they look after their own interests. If a new Government is the way it

0:04:28 > 0:04:33will change, a new Government it has to be.

0:04:33 > 0:04:36Jeremy Corbyn -- Jeremy Corbyn has come and he is all the things we

0:04:36 > 0:04:40have needed for so long. He wants good things for the

0:04:40 > 0:04:44country, especially my kind of people, working class, on the bottom

0:04:44 > 0:04:50of the spectrum. We need Labour, it is as simple as that.

0:04:50 > 0:04:55# We rise together. We rise together.
