0:00:12 > 0:00:15Liberal Democrats believe that everyone, whatever your background,

0:00:15 > 0:00:20wherever you live, should have the same opportunity to get on in life.

0:00:20 > 0:00:22That would make society fairer

0:00:22 > 0:00:26and to build a fairer society, we need a stronger economy too

0:00:26 > 0:00:30so that there are the jobs and opportunities that you need.

0:00:30 > 0:00:33A stronger economy, a fairer society,

0:00:33 > 0:00:36enabling everyone to get on in life.

0:00:36 > 0:00:39That's why our top priority has been to cut income tax

0:00:39 > 0:00:41for millions of working people.

0:00:41 > 0:00:44More of your own money in your pocket every month.

0:00:44 > 0:00:47A promise Liberal Democrats made at the last election

0:00:47 > 0:00:49and have delivered in Government.

0:00:49 > 0:00:54£600 a year for 24 million working people so far.

0:00:54 > 0:00:58If you earn the minimum wage, we have halved your income tax bill

0:00:58 > 0:01:01and if you work tirelessly in a low-paid job,

0:01:01 > 0:01:04you'll no longer pay any income tax at all.

0:01:04 > 0:01:07I would use it probably for mostly for bills and probably for petrol

0:01:07 > 0:01:08and things like that.

0:01:08 > 0:01:11It would just make things a little bit easier.

0:01:11 > 0:01:13Just sort of get the household items sorted,

0:01:13 > 0:01:17for instance the gas, the electricity.

0:01:17 > 0:01:19To be a bit more comfortable, you know.

0:01:19 > 0:01:24It'll help, you know, to have this £600.

0:01:24 > 0:01:28Over the course of, say, a year, I would put it towards my savings

0:01:28 > 0:01:32and eventually want to buy a property at some point

0:01:32 > 0:01:35so it would help a little bit to go towards that.

0:01:35 > 0:01:39That'll be something very positive for a lot of families out there

0:01:39 > 0:01:42who are actually struggling and striving to make things better.

0:01:44 > 0:01:45I'd divide it up first of all

0:01:45 > 0:01:49and put each into my children's ISAs for their future.

0:01:49 > 0:01:52I mean, every year things are getting more and more expensive,

0:01:52 > 0:01:55so by the time they want to go to university

0:01:55 > 0:01:57or put a deposit down on their house,

0:01:57 > 0:01:59then they'll be able to do that.

0:01:59 > 0:02:02It would take the worry out of paying my bills, basically.

0:02:02 > 0:02:04I could fall back on it if there were problems.

0:02:04 > 0:02:07Car insurance, house insurance.

0:02:07 > 0:02:09I don't think I would spend it.

0:02:09 > 0:02:11I think I'd put it away and when I need it urgently,

0:02:11 > 0:02:14I'd get it out and use it.

0:02:14 > 0:02:18Liberal Democrats have cut taxes for millions of working people,

0:02:18 > 0:02:21invested more money in schools to stop children falling behind,

0:02:21 > 0:02:24created a record number of apprenticeships

0:02:24 > 0:02:28and ensured generous rises in the basic state pension.

0:02:28 > 0:02:30That's how we are building a stronger economy

0:02:30 > 0:02:33AND a fairer society.

0:02:33 > 0:02:35The Conservatives on their own can't be relied upon

0:02:35 > 0:02:37to make society fairer

0:02:37 > 0:02:39and Labour certainly can't be relied upon

0:02:39 > 0:02:41to build a stronger economy.

0:02:41 > 0:02:45Only the Liberal Democrats can build a stronger economy

0:02:45 > 0:02:47AND a fairer society,

0:02:47 > 0:02:49enabling everyone to get on in life.
