0:00:18 > 0:00:21we've led the fight for equality and, together,

0:00:21 > 0:00:25our communities have created a unique and diverse culture.

0:00:25 > 0:00:30Now, Wales is clinging on as the recession and the cuts

0:00:30 > 0:00:34continue to hit Welsh families, businesses and confidence.

0:00:34 > 0:00:37But we've not lost our hope.

0:00:37 > 0:00:39We can choose a different future.

0:00:39 > 0:00:43For Wales, this isn't as good as it gets.

0:00:45 > 0:00:48I've been travelling around our country.

0:00:48 > 0:00:52You tell me that it's time for Wales to expect better -

0:00:52 > 0:00:55to see higher standards in education,

0:00:55 > 0:00:58a stronger environment for our businesses to grow,

0:00:58 > 0:01:02and better health services within a reasonable distance from our homes.

0:01:02 > 0:01:07These are all things a Welsh government can and should ensure.

0:01:09 > 0:01:14As a parent, I share your desire to see Welsh children and young people

0:01:14 > 0:01:17getting the best possible chance in life.

0:01:17 > 0:01:21Because we agree with you, Plaid Cymru, the national party of Wales,

0:01:21 > 0:01:25have ensured that £20 million is being spent this year

0:01:25 > 0:01:27on creating new apprenticeships -

0:01:27 > 0:01:30a bridge that will lead to a new and better future

0:01:30 > 0:01:33for thousands of our young people,

0:01:33 > 0:01:36and a sure path towards a stronger economy.

0:01:37 > 0:01:41Plaid Cymru has also made sure that the people least able to afford it

0:01:41 > 0:01:45won't have to pay more council tax or business rates.

0:01:45 > 0:01:48We think Welsh businesses should be supported.

0:01:48 > 0:01:51If more public contracts were given to Welsh firms,

0:01:51 > 0:01:5450,000 new jobs could be created.

0:01:54 > 0:01:58We want to see a national rail system for Wales

0:01:58 > 0:02:01that doesn't put money in shareholders' pockets,

0:02:01 > 0:02:04but uses its profits to improve services for people

0:02:04 > 0:02:07in all parts of Wales.

0:02:07 > 0:02:09We can do this.

0:02:09 > 0:02:13All it takes is determination and a team of able people

0:02:13 > 0:02:18who are prepared to put Wales first leaving no community behind.

0:02:20 > 0:02:24There's an old saying in Welsh "A bo ben, bid bont,"

0:02:24 > 0:02:27whoever wants to lead, must be a bridge.

0:02:27 > 0:02:30Under my leadership, Plaid Cymru will be a bridge

0:02:30 > 0:02:34between the communities of Wales and a path we can take together,

0:02:34 > 0:02:37forward to the future our children deserve.
