0:00:02 > 0:00:03The Scottish Labour Party's changing.
0:00:03 > 0:00:05We're going to come back stronger. We're going to come back better.
0:00:05 > 0:00:08We're going to come back even more proud of Scotland and her people.
0:00:20 > 0:00:23Well, after the election result we had in May,
0:00:23 > 0:00:25it was obvious we had to change.
0:00:25 > 0:00:28So we've been speaking to Party members and supporters across the whole of Scotland.
0:00:28 > 0:00:32We must use this review to strengthen the Labour Party,
0:00:32 > 0:00:36to pull us all together and make sure we campaign for everybody in Scotland.
0:00:42 > 0:00:46There's a huge worry about unemployment, either by people who are unemployed at the moment
0:00:46 > 0:00:48or people who are worried about losing their jobs.
0:00:48 > 0:00:51And there's a massive crisis in relation to youth unemployment.
0:00:51 > 0:00:54Kids are leaving school without any future - without getting
0:00:54 > 0:00:58into further or higher education and without getting a training apprenticeship.
0:00:58 > 0:01:00We haven't had this much youth unemployment in Scotland
0:01:00 > 0:01:04since the days of the Tories, so we need action from the Scottish government and we need it now.
0:01:04 > 0:01:08We've got to give them hope and opportunity.
0:01:12 > 0:01:14There's a worry about the recession.
0:01:14 > 0:01:17There's a worry about, is our country heading in the right direction,
0:01:17 > 0:01:18with the government that we have in Edinburgh,
0:01:18 > 0:01:20or the government that we have in London?
0:01:20 > 0:01:23And they want a strong Labour Party.
0:01:23 > 0:01:25It's our responsibility to make sure we have the ideas, the people,
0:01:25 > 0:01:29the vision, the passion and the patriotism and a sense that
0:01:29 > 0:01:33the next generation has the opportunity to do better than this generation.
0:01:33 > 0:01:37My message is pretty clear. The Scottish Labour Party is changing,
0:01:37 > 0:01:41changing again for the better, so it's again Scotland's Labour Party.
0:01:43 > 0:01:45We're proud to be Scottish,
0:01:45 > 0:01:47we're proud to have a Scottish Parliament
0:01:47 > 0:01:50and we're proud to have a Scottish Labour Party.
0:01:50 > 0:01:54Our challenge for the future is to make sure we set out a vision for Scotland,
0:01:54 > 0:01:56to make Scotland the best it can be -
0:01:56 > 0:01:58creating jobs, making the most of our industries
0:01:58 > 0:02:00and, crucially, making the most of our people
0:02:00 > 0:02:04cos that's what Scotland has in abundance - fantastic people
0:02:04 > 0:02:07and the Labour Party needs to be on their side.
0:02:07 > 0:02:08It's about saying that if a family works hard,
0:02:08 > 0:02:11abides by the rules, that we're on their side
0:02:11 > 0:02:14and if someone breaks the rules, we'll be on their back
0:02:14 > 0:02:18because Scottish Labour stands up for the people who do the right thing in our country,
0:02:18 > 0:02:20who want to make our country stronger,
0:02:20 > 0:02:23who care for their family and look after their neighbours
0:02:23 > 0:02:26and believe there is such a thing as a Scottish society.
