0:00:11 > 0:00:13The Welsh Conservatives are the party of low tax and big ideas.

0:00:13 > 0:00:16We want to build a stronger, more competitive economy.

0:00:16 > 0:00:18And secure a better future for Wales.

0:00:18 > 0:00:21Labour have been in government in the Welsh Assembly

0:00:21 > 0:00:23for the full 15 years.

0:00:23 > 0:00:25In that time, they've sat on their hands

0:00:25 > 0:00:28while our economy has lagged behind the rest of the UK.

0:00:28 > 0:00:32It isn't good enough that we pay more council tax than

0:00:32 > 0:00:36millions of other people in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

0:00:36 > 0:00:40It isn't good enough that our small businesses don't get the tax breaks

0:00:40 > 0:00:43that they do in other parts of the United Kingdom.

0:00:43 > 0:00:45The Welsh Conservatives want to change this

0:00:45 > 0:00:47for the hard-working people of Wales.

0:00:47 > 0:00:50We have a long-term plan to deliver that change.

0:00:50 > 0:00:54On council tax, stamp duty and business rates -

0:00:54 > 0:00:57the Welsh Labour government are failing the hard-working families

0:00:57 > 0:00:59and small businesses of Wales.

0:00:59 > 0:01:04Council tax has risen by nearly 150% under Welsh Labour.

0:01:04 > 0:01:08But I can't see where the extra money is going.

0:01:08 > 0:01:12I'm glad that the Welsh Conservatives would freeze council tax,

0:01:12 > 0:01:16keeping extra money in mine and my family's pocket.

0:01:16 > 0:01:20To date, the council tax freeze that's happened in England

0:01:20 > 0:01:24hasn't been passed on by the Welsh Labour government.

0:01:24 > 0:01:26With increased budgets elsewhere,

0:01:26 > 0:01:30a council tax saving could help money go a bit further.

0:01:30 > 0:01:34Whilst the Welsh Labour government have refused to pass on this

0:01:34 > 0:01:40extra money for a freeze, they did find ?52 million for an airport.

0:01:40 > 0:01:42One day, I want to be able to buy my own home.

0:01:42 > 0:01:44Rents are expensive

0:01:44 > 0:01:47and it can feel like throwing hard-earned money down the drain.

0:01:47 > 0:01:50Buying a house has never been so expensive.

0:01:50 > 0:01:52Saving for a deposit, saving for solicitors' costs,

0:01:52 > 0:01:55and, of course, stamp duty, means it will take me years

0:01:55 > 0:01:58to have enough money to get onto the property ladder.

0:01:58 > 0:02:02I'm glad that the Welsh Conservatives would remove

0:02:02 > 0:02:04stamp duty up to ?250,000.

0:02:04 > 0:02:09The extra ?1,600 I would save means it really would be possible

0:02:09 > 0:02:11to get onto the housing ladder more quickly.

0:02:11 > 0:02:15The extra money that I would save from a stamp duty cut

0:02:15 > 0:02:17could mean more money for improving my house.

0:02:17 > 0:02:19Or even saving up a little more money,

0:02:19 > 0:02:22enabling me to make that dream come true.

0:02:22 > 0:02:26Tax on small business is one of the highest costs we face.

0:02:26 > 0:02:29The Welsh Conservatives want to cut tax for small businesses like mine.

0:02:29 > 0:02:32Meaning I can put more money back into my business.

0:02:32 > 0:02:36If every small and medium-sized business in Wales took on just

0:02:36 > 0:02:40one more staff member, we wouldn't have any unemployment in Wales.

0:02:40 > 0:02:43I'm glad the Welsh Conservatives back businesses like mine,

0:02:43 > 0:02:46and are putting forward the policies needed to boost

0:02:46 > 0:02:48the much-needed growth in Wales.

0:02:48 > 0:02:51With the extra money saved on business rates,

0:02:51 > 0:02:54I would be able to put more money back into my business.

0:02:54 > 0:02:57The Welsh Conservatives would freeze council tax

0:02:57 > 0:03:01so that you would have over ?100 more in your pocket.

0:03:01 > 0:03:05So that families across Wales can have a better quality of living.

0:03:05 > 0:03:10We would abolish stamp duty for homes up to ?250,000 -

0:03:10 > 0:03:14saving aspiring homeowners up to ?2,500.

0:03:20 > 0:03:24to help them thrive and invest, creating more jobs for local people,

0:03:24 > 0:03:27so that we all feel more financially secure.

0:03:27 > 0:03:29The people of Wales are paying the price

0:03:29 > 0:03:32for a Welsh Labour government without a plan.

0:03:32 > 0:03:36Only the Welsh Conservatives have a long-term economic plan

0:03:36 > 0:03:41to build a stronger economy and help hard-working people get on in life.

0:03:41 > 0:03:43Let's follow the plan together,

0:03:43 > 0:03:46for a better future for the people of Wales.

0:04:27 > 0:04:29The Sport Relief Games are back,

0:04:29 > 0:04:31with loads of running, swimming and cycling events.

0:04:31 > 0:04:33You don't need hi-tech equipment to get involved -

0:04:33 > 0:04:36you don't even need AeroShorts 5000.

0:04:36 > 0:04:39Show your support by wearing a Sport Relief T-shirt

0:04:39 > 0:04:42or even one of these Sport Relief headbands. See you later.

0:04:42 > 0:04:44Does my bum look cone-like in this?
