0:13:33 > 0:13:35- What attracted you?- - I approached Christian Aid...

0:13:35 > 0:13:38- ..looking for work experience, - to be honest.

0:13:38 > 0:13:41- I was a stranger to Christian Aid...

0:13:41 > 0:13:43- ..but wanted to discover ways...

0:13:43 > 0:13:48- ..in which I could serve God - in whatever career he chose for me.

0:13:48 > 0:13:54- I never thought for one moment - that I'd end up working full time...

0:13:56 > 0:13:59- What are your duties - from day to day?

0:13:59 > 0:14:04- It's my job to work alongside - churches, schools, ministers...

0:14:04 > 0:14:08- ..and volunteers, and mainly to - share the work of Christian Aid...

0:14:11 > 0:14:15- ..and urge people - to donate, take action...

0:14:17 > 0:14:21- ..and also to pray regularly - for Christian Aid's work.

0:14:27 > 0:14:31- ..but how important are the prayers?- - Prayer forms the basis of our work.

0:14:35 > 0:14:39- ..then there's no real power - behind the work at all.

0:15:04 > 0:15:08- About four years ago, I went - to Cambodia with Christian Aid.

0:15:08 > 0:15:14- That was the first time - I'd been to a poor country.

0:15:14 > 0:15:18- It was a difficult experience.

0:15:19 > 0:15:24- It was a shock to witness the extent - of the poverty in that country.

0:15:24 > 0:15:30- I met girls who were - in danger of being trafficked.

0:15:30 > 0:15:34- I met communities in rural areas...

0:15:35 > 0:15:39- ..where mines were exploding - all around their communities.

0:15:39 > 0:15:41- They lived in minefields.

0:15:41 > 0:15:44- I couldn't believe - their lives there.

0:15:45 > 0:15:49- How did the charity - transform the situation in Cambodia?

0:15:49 > 0:15:53- Christian Aid - worked with all kinds of partners...

0:15:53 > 0:15:55- ..in Cambodia.

0:15:55 > 0:16:00- Christian partners - and non-faith partners too.

0:16:01 > 0:16:03- The work was so inspirational.

0:16:03 > 0:16:07- When we give money to a charity, - it's hard to imagine...

0:16:07 > 0:16:14- ..the difference - the donations will make.

0:16:14 > 0:16:19- But the money is multiplied - between different communities...

0:16:19 > 0:16:21- ..and goes so far.

0:16:21 > 0:16:24- I'm sure - you're grateful to Christian Aid.

0:16:24 > 0:16:28- Yes, I'm fortunate to have - a career with Christian Aid.

0:16:29 > 0:16:33- But mainly, I'd like to thank God - for the opportunities he's given me.

0:16:34 > 0:16:36- My faith has blossomed.

0:16:36 > 0:16:41- I know how to respond to such - major concerns as global poverty.
