0:03:32 > 0:03:37- ..an ancient structure - that was demolished in the 1920s.

0:03:51 > 0:03:54- The 1850s saw the arrival...

0:03:54 > 0:03:57- ..of the railway - between Rhyl and Denbigh.

0:03:58 > 0:04:02- With it came a population increase.

0:04:02 > 0:04:05- There was no chapel - at the bottom of the town.

0:04:05 > 0:04:10- Everyone had to climb - the steep hill to the large chapel.

0:04:10 > 0:04:13- However, in 1865...

0:04:13 > 0:04:18- ..it was decided that a chapel would - be erected in the town itself...

0:04:18 > 0:04:23- ..hence the construction - of Capel y Fron.

0:04:24 > 0:04:26- You're a chapel deacon...

0:04:26 > 0:04:30- ..and you recently removed - the traditional pews.

0:04:30 > 0:04:35- We recently noticed that the floor - was decaying and the pews were old.

0:04:35 > 0:04:38- There was damp too, - so three years ago...

0:04:38 > 0:04:41- ..we ripped out the interior...

0:04:41 > 0:04:43- ..and renovated it.

0:04:43 > 0:04:48- We installed a new floor, central - heating and a new sound system.

0:04:48 > 0:04:52- We replaced the pews with - more comfortable, portable chairs.

0:04:53 > 0:04:56- Though the chapel - still fulfils the same purpose...

0:04:57 > 0:05:00- ..it's used for - a variety of different causes.

0:05:00 > 0:05:03- It's used - for concerts and lectures...

0:05:03 > 0:05:08- ..and we even play bowls inside - the chapel once a week in winter.

0:05:14 > 0:05:17- It was meant to be played - in the vestry...
