:48:02. > :48:07.A fairly wet afternoon at the Forest today but even with that it

:48:07. > :48:12.was still quite muggy, as it has been for many of us. If that has

:48:12. > :48:20.been too much for you, this week brings respite. The real heat and

:48:20. > :48:26.hot air has been ensconced across western Europe. 31 degrees in

:48:26. > :48:31.Cambridge. All of the hot air to the east of these weather fronts.

:48:31. > :48:36.We are still dragging in south- westerly winds, the air doesn't get

:48:36. > :48:44.that cold. Persistent rain across Scotland and north-east England to

:48:44. > :48:48.end the day. That has cleared away. Misty and warm, not as sultry in

:48:48. > :48:58.the south-east corner as it has been. We will start the day with

:48:58. > :49:01.

:49:01. > :49:05.You are more sunny spells will develop. The showers push eastwards.

:49:05. > :49:09.Some of those could be heavy and thundery. They could become more

:49:09. > :49:12.persistent during the second half of the day. In between we will see

:49:12. > :49:18.sunny spells and that will lift temperatures into the high teens,

:49:18. > :49:23.low 20s. The showers across England and Wales are few and far between.

:49:23. > :49:33.Many will stay fairly dry. Quite a pleasant day in store. Humidity

:49:33. > :49:36.

:49:36. > :49:38.levels dropping. Temperatures The list and low cloud will return

:49:38. > :49:43.across many southern and western areas during Monday night into

:49:43. > :49:49.Tuesday morning. Most will stay dry, one or two showers later across the

:49:49. > :49:53.West, temperature still holding up at 15, to 18 Celsius. For Tuesday,

:49:53. > :49:57.the low pressure to the south of Iceland will be driving things. The

:49:57. > :50:01.closer you are to that low-pressure system, the more likely you are to

:50:01. > :50:07.see showers. Scotland and Northern Ireland becoming slower moving with

:50:08. > :50:14.hail and thunder, squally winds which could cause problems. A

:50:14. > :50:17.greater chance of showers further south, temperatures falling back to

:50:17. > :50:22.what they should be at this time of year. Humidity levels dropping, as

:50:22. > :50:26.they will do during Tuesday night into Wednesday. This feature will

:50:26. > :50:30.keep the rain showers going for a time overnight. It is low to the

:50:30. > :50:37.north, high to the south. A squeeze on the isobars indicating a

:50:37. > :50:44.breezier day on Wednesday. Showers from west to east quite rapidly,

:50:44. > :50:48.fewer showers in the south and east. The same feature of the low to the

:50:48. > :50:52.north, high pressure to the south, maintains into Thursday. Northern

:50:52. > :51:00.areas are most likely to see the showers. Fewer showers further

:51:00. > :51:04.south. Misty mornings with winds falling lighter. Into Friday,

:51:04. > :51:10.slightly different. We see outbreaks of rain developing,

:51:10. > :51:15.spreading erratically northwards. Bright in the far north. Exactly

:51:15. > :51:18.where the heaviest of the rain is dependent on the position of the
