1:50:05 > 1:50:08but he's stopped well short of the 1st down.
1:50:08 > 1:50:11In fact, lost yardage and a flag is down.
1:50:11 > 1:50:14Good Odell Beckham there,
1:50:14 > 1:50:17there's contact before the ball's left the quarterback's hands
1:50:17 > 1:50:20and he continues to block as the play progresses.
1:50:20 > 1:50:22But somebody's gotta get a hold of Odell Beckham
1:50:22 > 1:50:24and get him settled down.
1:50:24 > 1:50:26I think he's probably a little frustrated with himself
1:50:26 > 1:50:29- for dropping that ball. - This is the best we've seen Newton.
1:50:31 > 1:50:333rd down and goal.
1:50:33 > 1:50:37Wide receivers strain and it's Ginn for the touchdown!

1:50:51 > 1:50:53coming out of the half and his frustrations
1:50:53 > 1:50:55and Coach Coughlin had said to me,

1:51:00 > 1:51:03Here is 2nd and 15, hand-off is to Vereen.
1:51:03 > 1:51:05Able to stay upright.

1:51:08 > 1:51:10WHISTLES BLOW
1:51:10 > 1:51:11What is going on?!
1:51:14 > 1:51:17Have you seen a guy this thrown off his game before?
1:51:17 > 1:51:20They oughta throw him out of the game and they just might.
1:51:20 > 1:51:22I mean, he's out of control.
1:51:22 > 1:51:26Well, he's hurting his football team, he hurt 'em dropping the ball,
1:51:26 > 1:51:29and now, he's hurt 'em with, you know, multiple penalties already.
1:51:29 > 1:51:31We'll see what this flag is for.
1:51:31 > 1:51:34He came flying in at the end of that play.
1:51:34 > 1:51:38And Tom Coughlin, he's not normally a coach that tolerates this either
1:51:38 > 1:51:42- so I would expect him to take action, too.- And Norman is...
1:51:42 > 1:51:46Well, they've been trying to calm him down, each and every time.
1:51:46 > 1:51:49Personal foul, unnecessary roughness, offense number 13.
1:51:49 > 1:51:53Personal foul, unnecessary roughness, defense number 24.
1:51:53 > 1:51:56The penalty's offset at the dead-ball spot. 1st down.
1:51:58 > 1:52:01So, it's called against both and Norman is trying to get calmed down.
1:52:01 > 1:52:03Watch the end of this play.
1:52:04 > 1:52:06That's not it, it's here.
1:52:08 > 1:52:10They go head-to-head,
1:52:10 > 1:52:14then Norman gets in with a knee into the head of Odell Beckham.
1:52:16 > 1:52:17This is embarrassing.
1:52:17 > 1:52:21It's embarrassing for Beckham, it's embarrassing for the Giants.
1:52:21 > 1:52:22There's a shot.
1:52:22 > 1:52:24I mean, Josh Norman has owned him in this game
1:52:24 > 1:52:27and when he hasn't been on him, someone else has.
1:52:27 > 1:52:29They haven't gotten him the football.
1:52:29 > 1:52:31How many personal fouls do you have to have
1:52:31 > 1:52:33before somebody does something?
1:52:33 > 1:52:36Despite the numerous penalties on Beckham, the Giants scored
1:52:36 > 1:52:37a touchdown on an eight-yard pass
1:52:37 > 1:52:40from Manning to Will Tye on that drive.
1:52:40 > 1:52:43Then, at the start of the fourth, Giants' running back Rashad Jennings
1:52:43 > 1:52:47earned redemption from his earlier fumble with a 38-yard touchdown run
1:52:47 > 1:52:50to make it 35-21.
1:52:50 > 1:52:54The Panthers, though, set up for a field goal to extend the lead
1:52:54 > 1:52:57to three scores later in the fourth quarter.
1:52:57 > 1:53:0034-yard try - and it's blocked!
1:53:00 > 1:53:01Live ball!
1:53:02 > 1:53:05Rodgers-Cromartie got to it.
1:53:05 > 1:53:07Blocked it, picked up by the Giants.
1:53:10 > 1:53:12Pass caught. Vereen!
1:53:12 > 1:53:13Touchdown!
1:53:15 > 1:53:17It is a seven-point game.
1:53:19 > 1:53:203rd and 7.
1:53:23 > 1:53:26Newton. Has it batted down.
1:53:26 > 1:53:28Jason Pierre-Paul.
1:53:30 > 1:53:32He's able to knock it down
1:53:32 > 1:53:35and not much time taken off the clock by Carolina,
1:53:35 > 1:53:39forcing the three now. Plenty of time for this Giants offense.
1:53:39 > 1:53:42The largest regular season deficit overcome -
1:53:42 > 1:53:4728 points. This would tie it.
1:53:47 > 1:53:49Giants trailed 35-7.
1:53:49 > 1:53:51But they need to convert on 4th down and 5.
1:53:51 > 1:53:54If Carolina gets a stop here, they take over.
1:53:58 > 1:53:59Manning. End zone!
1:54:01 > 1:54:03Touchdown, Beckham!
1:54:16 > 1:54:19That's a great job on 4th down and the game on the line.
1:54:21 > 1:54:23Against what I think is the best corner in football right now.
1:54:23 > 1:54:27And this is game is tied, but Carolina has two time-outs left.
1:54:27 > 1:54:33Plenty of time to get downfield and try to get their record to 14 and 0.
1:54:37 > 1:54:38Newton protected.
1:54:40 > 1:54:42Pass. Olsen is caught...
1:54:43 > 1:54:45..in the Giants' territory!
1:54:49 > 1:54:50Newton can't take a step.
1:54:53 > 1:54:55He's able to slide down...
1:54:56 > 1:55:00..at the 25. And they're going to give him a 1st down.
1:55:00 > 1:55:02What a job by Cam Newton!
1:55:02 > 1:55:04A dual threat to set up this game-winning field goal.
1:55:04 > 1:55:07Five seconds left. It's up to Gano.
1:55:07 > 1:55:09Jansen will snap it.
1:55:09 > 1:55:10Norman will hold it.
1:55:10 > 1:55:14Gano...to win it from 43.
1:55:17 > 1:55:20The kick is...good!
1:55:20 > 1:55:23The Carolina Panthers win it
1:55:23 > 1:55:26on the 43-yarder by Graham Gano
1:55:26 > 1:55:29to get to 14 and 0.
1:55:31 > 1:55:33It shouldn't have been a thriller, I tell you that.
1:55:33 > 1:55:35But we just had to find ways and it's great for us
1:55:35 > 1:55:37to be in a game like this.
1:55:37 > 1:55:40It was kind of like our first dose of mini games
1:55:40 > 1:55:43of kind of what playoff football's going to be about.
1:55:43 > 1:55:45We gotta create that killer instinct.
1:55:45 > 1:55:49The Giants did an unbelievable job
1:55:49 > 1:55:52but yet, you know, for us, we have to be better.
1:55:52 > 1:55:54And we will be better.
1:55:54 > 1:55:57Being down 35-7 and coming back and tying up,
1:55:57 > 1:56:00that's an outstanding tribute to our team, to our players,
1:56:00 > 1:56:03to our coaches.
1:56:03 > 1:56:05But, unfortunately, it wasn't enough.
1:56:05 > 1:56:08Carolina Panthers improve to 14 and 0,
1:56:08 > 1:56:10beating my New York Giants,
1:56:10 > 1:56:13to once again prove they can finish games.
1:56:13 > 1:56:14Forget about that.
1:56:14 > 1:56:18We want to talk about what the whole world is talking about -
1:56:18 > 1:56:19Odell Beckham Jr.
1:56:19 > 1:56:21And in an ode to my favourite movie,
1:56:21 > 1:56:25we're going to show you the good, the bad and the ugly.
1:56:26 > 1:56:28Now, right here, Odell Beckham is known
1:56:28 > 1:56:30for his tremendous one-handed catches
1:56:30 > 1:56:32- that Mark Chapman loves so much. - THEY LAUGH
1:56:32 > 1:56:34But let's see what happens over here.
1:56:34 > 1:56:37Beginning of the game, Eli Manning finds him with an accurate pass -
1:56:37 > 1:56:40oh, my goodness, he drops the football with two hands?
1:56:40 > 1:56:44Maybe if he would have tied one of his hands behind his back,
1:56:44 > 1:56:46he would have made that such an easy catch!
1:56:46 > 1:56:49Now, as we go on, we're going to show you the bad.
1:56:49 > 1:56:51And here's Odell Beckham and Norman going at it,
1:56:51 > 1:56:53Norman with a nice little take-down.
1:56:53 > 1:56:55Odell's like, "OK, OK, that's how you want to play this game?"
1:56:55 > 1:56:57Let's see what happens here.
1:56:57 > 1:56:59Odell Beckham's now targeting Josh Norman,
1:56:59 > 1:57:02and look at them going at it like two little pitbulls,
1:57:02 > 1:57:04- attacking each other. - HE GROWLS
1:57:04 > 1:57:06I don't even know what that is, man!
1:57:06 > 1:57:10This is what happens with receivers and DBs. And right here...
1:57:10 > 1:57:12Nice little hand-off, and what does Odell...?
1:57:12 > 1:57:15This is what should have got him thrown out the game right here.
1:57:15 > 1:57:16What was that? That was ridiculous, man.
1:57:16 > 1:57:19He targeted Josh Norman, went helmet-to-helmet.
1:57:19 > 1:57:23Of all the things that he did, this was the thing I had a problem with.
1:57:23 > 1:57:25This is what should have got him thrown out the game.
1:57:25 > 1:57:28But it didn't get him thrown out the game.
1:57:28 > 1:57:30And do you know why it didn't get him thrown out of the game?
1:57:30 > 1:57:32Cos the Giants needed to win the game
1:57:32 > 1:57:35and this is what Beckham brings to the table,
1:57:35 > 1:57:37a young superstar receiver.
1:57:37 > 1:57:39Check him out at the top of the screen.
1:57:39 > 1:57:41Gives Josh Norman the little stutter-go,
1:57:41 > 1:57:42gets to the end zone... Oh!
1:57:42 > 1:57:45A great catch. Watch what he does after.
1:57:45 > 1:57:47"I step over."
1:57:47 > 1:57:48"Get off of me, man!"
1:57:48 > 1:57:50This is a superstar football player
1:57:50 > 1:57:52making it look easy, Odell Beckham,
1:57:52 > 1:57:54but, of course, he was a little too late for the Giants
1:57:54 > 1:57:58as even though they tied the game, they couldn't win it,
1:57:58 > 1:57:59cos they don't finish games,
1:57:59 > 1:58:03and Odell Beckham Jr's the man. What can you say about that?
1:58:03 > 1:58:08I'll tell you what I'll say, step your way back over here, if you can,
1:58:08 > 1:58:10to join myself and...
1:58:10 > 1:58:13THEY LAUGH
1:58:13 > 1:58:15That just looked like you had cramp!
1:58:15 > 1:58:17Outstanding. That is outstanding!
1:58:17 > 1:58:20If you'd been on the sidelines when that was going on,
1:58:20 > 1:58:23would you have had a word with Beckham?
1:58:23 > 1:58:27- Yes.- As a team-mate?- Yes. And you can see that's what they're lacking.
1:58:27 > 1:58:30When I was playing, guys like Osi,
1:58:30 > 1:58:32Michael Strahan, Antonio Pierce,
1:58:32 > 1:58:33they would have came over and said,
1:58:33 > 1:58:36"Hey, this has gotta stop right now."
1:58:36 > 1:58:40And as you said, Osi, a lot of it was pantomime
1:58:40 > 1:58:43and made great viewing, but that incident was serious
1:58:43 > 1:58:45and could have seriously injured Norman.
1:58:45 > 1:58:48That was where he went over the line, over there.
1:58:48 > 1:58:51The stuff that you see going on all the while,
1:58:51 > 1:58:53that's what happens in football. People do that all the time.
1:58:53 > 1:58:56But when he targeted him and went for the helmet-to-helmet hit here,
1:58:56 > 1:58:58he could have not only injured himself,
1:58:58 > 1:59:00he could have injured Norman and that was the bad part.
1:59:00 > 1:59:04And that's why he's got the one-match ban which he is appealing against.
1:59:04 > 1:59:08In the interviews there, we heard them say they'd spoken to Coughlin
1:59:08 > 1:59:11and Coughlin said he's got to figure it out himself.
1:59:11 > 1:59:14- Is that the Coughlin you both know? - No, that was surprising.
1:59:14 > 1:59:18- Are you surprised he didn't go and try and sort it out himself?- Yeah.
1:59:18 > 1:59:22The reason Coughlin is there is cos he's a disciplinarian kind of coach
1:59:22 > 1:59:25and he's the kind of guy who's always in control of his team,
1:59:25 > 1:59:26so that was shocking to me.
1:59:26 > 1:59:28I'd never seen him out of control of his players.
1:59:28 > 1:59:32I've heard some people say he ought to have taken him off himself
1:59:32 > 1:59:36to protect the integrity of football or the NFL.
1:59:36 > 1:59:38Is that being naive?
1:59:38 > 1:59:41That's being very naive cos this guy's coaching for his job now,
1:59:41 > 1:59:44he wants to keep winning and as my man Jason said earlier,
1:59:44 > 1:59:48he was like, "Odell Beckham is the best player on this team.
1:59:48 > 1:59:51"If you want him to win the game, you can't have him off the field.
1:59:51 > 1:59:53"You've gotta have him on the field."
1:59:53 > 1:59:55And so he had to keep him on there.
1:59:55 > 1:59:57There's a real contrast in the fact
1:59:57 > 2:00:00that the Giants didn't really talk to Beckham,
2:00:00 > 2:00:03and yet, Newton was one of the main people
2:00:03 > 2:00:06talking to Josh Norman, to calm him down.
2:00:06 > 2:00:09Is this the game where both of you have seen a different Cam Newton?
2:00:09 > 2:00:12For all the joking we've done about "Hit them folk" and all of that.
2:00:12 > 2:00:16He showed he was a leader. It's hard as an offensive player
2:00:16 > 2:00:19to go check a guy on defense like that, to go say,
2:00:19 > 2:00:22"Hey, you better calm down for the betterment of the team."
2:00:22 > 2:00:24- And he did. - There's no question about that.
2:00:24 > 2:00:28He's really developed into a truly elite quarterback on the field,
2:00:28 > 2:00:31and the way he moves on the field with his presence.
2:00:31 > 2:00:34Cos he just gave the look, didn't he?
2:00:34 > 2:00:36Having got that 28-point deficit down,
2:00:36 > 2:00:39going back to 35 or Newton sort of gave that, look,
2:00:39 > 2:00:41"Right, you've given me enough time, I can go down the field."
2:00:41 > 2:00:44"I can make this happen." He's that kind of player right now.
2:00:44 > 2:00:46So, you've changed your opinion.
2:00:46 > 2:00:48- Never!- Come on! - THEY LAUGH
2:00:48 > 2:00:52If you want to get involved, just use #RaceToSB50
2:00:52 > 2:00:55or if you're new to sport, just use #NFLRookie
2:00:55 > 2:00:58Jason and Osi will be looking to provide some answers,
2:00:58 > 2:01:00maybe point out that they've changed their minds.
2:01:00 > 2:01:02Now, to our first round-up.
2:01:02 > 2:01:06The NFC East has been the most keenly contested division in the NFC
2:01:06 > 2:01:08with Washington, Philadelphia
2:01:08 > 2:01:10and the New York Giants all matching each other.
2:01:10 > 2:01:12With the Giants losing to Carolina,
2:01:12 > 2:01:16the opportunity for one of the others to stand up and make a move.
2:01:21 > 2:01:25Washington wasted no time racing to a 21-0 half-time lead
2:01:25 > 2:01:27over the Buffalo Bills.
2:01:27 > 2:01:28Jordan Reed caught two scores
2:01:28 > 2:01:31and quarterback Kirk Cousins threw a career-high
2:01:31 > 2:01:32four touchdown passes,
2:01:32 > 2:01:37including this epic score to DeSean Jackson in the third quarter.
2:01:39 > 2:01:42DeSean Jackson! And he will take it all the way.
2:01:44 > 2:01:4777 yards for a Redskins touchdown.
2:01:47 > 2:01:49Washington eased to a victory,
2:01:49 > 2:01:52effectively ending Buffalo's wild-card hopes.
2:01:56 > 2:01:59Philadelphia had the chance to join Washington atop the NFC East
2:01:59 > 2:02:02when they entertained Arizona,
2:02:02 > 2:02:06but David Johnson ran for 187 yards and three touchdowns,
2:02:06 > 2:02:09including this 47-yarder just before the half
2:02:09 > 2:02:10to put the Cardinals in charge.
2:02:11 > 2:02:15They wrapped up the NFC West title, their first since 2009,
2:02:15 > 2:02:18when Deone Bucannon returned this interception
2:02:18 > 2:02:2139 yards to record an emphatic victory.
2:02:24 > 2:02:28Tampa Bay all but surrendered their outside chance of a playoff berth
2:02:28 > 2:02:31despite quarterback Jameis Winston's fourth quarter rally,
2:02:31 > 2:02:35which proved too little, too late and had far-reaching effects
2:02:35 > 2:02:37as St Louis ran out easy wins.
2:02:41 > 2:02:44With Tampa Bay and the New York Giants both losing
2:02:44 > 2:02:46Seattle claimed a wild card berth
2:02:46 > 2:02:50when they disposed of Cleveland in style at CenturyLink Field.
2:02:50 > 2:02:52Doug Baldwin scored two touchdowns
2:02:52 > 2:02:55and Tyler Lockett grabbed a 27-yard effort
2:02:55 > 2:02:57as Seattle eased past the team
2:02:57 > 2:03:00vying for next year's number-one draft pick.
2:03:04 > 2:03:06Atlanta snapped a six-game losing streak
2:03:06 > 2:03:10when they defeated a Jacksonville Jaguars team that still
2:03:10 > 2:03:14harboured hopes of an AFC South division crown.
2:03:14 > 2:03:16Devonta Freeman opened up the scoring
2:03:16 > 2:03:20and Julio Jones grabbed his first touchdown in seven weeks,
2:03:20 > 2:03:24as Atlanta held on to keep their faint wild card hopes alive.
2:03:29 > 2:03:31By the time John Kuhn opened the scoring
2:03:31 > 2:03:34for Green Bay against Oakland, the losses by Tampa Bay
2:03:34 > 2:03:38and the Giants meant that Green Bay's wild card place
2:03:38 > 2:03:39was already assured.
2:03:39 > 2:03:43Damarious Randall added a 43-yard interception return
2:03:43 > 2:03:46as Green Bay raced to a lead they'd never relinquish.
2:03:50 > 2:03:52In the race for the NFC North,
2:03:52 > 2:03:55Minnesota remained a game behind Green Bay
2:03:55 > 2:03:59as they entertained division rivals, the Chicago Bears.
2:03:59 > 2:04:02Teddy Bridgewater threw a career-high four touchdowns,
2:04:02 > 2:04:04two to Stefon Diggs,
2:04:04 > 2:04:07while also running in a 12-yard score of his own.
2:04:12 > 2:04:17The NFC North is fascinating because, as you said,
2:04:17 > 2:04:19Green Bay have the wild card,
2:04:19 > 2:04:24- it could still go down to the wire for winning the division.- Right.
2:04:24 > 2:04:28I'm not sure Green Bay can win this game.
2:04:28 > 2:04:30At Arizona, this coming week?
2:04:30 > 2:04:32I don't think it can happen.
2:04:32 > 2:04:34I think Arizona's too good of a team right now
2:04:34 > 2:04:38and I don't like the match-up with their receivers...
2:04:38 > 2:04:42I would agree with you, but Arizona lost Tyrann Mathieu
2:04:42 > 2:04:44who was an outstanding football player for them.
2:04:44 > 2:04:47I believe Aaron Rodgers is going to be able to exploit their secondary.
2:04:47 > 2:04:49Even if they both win,
2:04:49 > 2:04:52if both Green Bay and Minnesota then go down to the final game,
2:04:52 > 2:04:57as you can see, Minnesota at Green Bay in that final one.
2:04:57 > 2:05:00So, it's all going down to the wire in that division.
2:05:00 > 2:05:02It is. And if that happens,
2:05:02 > 2:05:05that'll be a barn-burner, they call those.
2:05:05 > 2:05:08If that does happen, Minnesota is not going to Green Bay
2:05:08 > 2:05:10and coming away with a victory.
2:05:10 > 2:05:13- Not happening.- So, Green Bay fans shouldn't be too nervous?- Absolutely.
2:05:13 > 2:05:16Let's just take a look at the NFC East and you're not allowed to talk
2:05:16 > 2:05:19about Dallas here cos we're going to show their game with the Jets.
2:05:19 > 2:05:22- So, whatever you do don't mention Dallas here.- OK.
2:05:22 > 2:05:26But Washington beat Philly next weekend at Philly,
2:05:26 > 2:05:28they win a poor division.
2:05:28 > 2:05:33- Can they win at Philly?- They're not good on the road. Washington...
2:05:33 > 2:05:36But the Eagles have just been smashed at home by the Cardinals.
2:05:36 > 2:05:37I agree!
2:05:37 > 2:05:39But I gotta go with the quarterback
2:05:39 > 2:05:41that doesn't play well on the road. He's the key.
2:05:41 > 2:05:44If Kirk Cousins plays well, and he doesn't play well on the road.
2:05:44 > 2:05:47He's been playing well lately but I'm with you on this one, man.
2:05:47 > 2:05:50I don't like Washington in this game. I don't like them on the road.
2:05:50 > 2:05:52I think they're a little finicky.
2:05:52 > 2:05:54I'm picking Philadelphia in this game.
2:05:54 > 2:05:56I know they're 7 and 7 but...
2:05:56 > 2:06:00- Should they be getting a little more credit, the Redskins?- No.- No!
2:06:00 > 2:06:03- No? Fine.- They're not that good of a football team.
2:06:03 > 2:06:06Not for Gruden going, "Right, I'm going to put my faith in Cousins?"
2:06:06 > 2:06:08- You know what, I think... - I'll give you that.
2:06:08 > 2:06:12He found something. He found something with Cousins.
2:06:12 > 2:06:14He can run his offense. And that's what's important.
2:06:14 > 2:06:16Got there in the end.
2:06:16 > 2:06:20Our second game is a matchup between two AFC powerhouses.
2:06:22 > 2:06:26The Denver Broncos from out west playing in a Pennsylvania city
2:06:26 > 2:06:27built on steel.
2:06:27 > 2:06:30The Broncos at the Pittsburgh Steelers.
2:06:30 > 2:06:32Both can still make the play-offs.
2:06:32 > 2:06:36The Broncos going for the AFC West division title.
2:06:36 > 2:06:39The Steelers chasing a wild card spot.
2:06:39 > 2:06:42Team against team, quarterback against quarterback.
2:06:42 > 2:06:45Ben Roethlisberger against Brock Osweiler,
2:06:45 > 2:06:48big, bad boy Ben, against baby-face Brock.
2:06:53 > 2:06:56Peyton Manning's going to be on the sideline today,
2:06:56 > 2:06:58after coming back from practice this week, Phil.
2:06:58 > 2:07:00Well, he's got the coach look down,
2:07:00 > 2:07:02cover your mouth at everything you say
2:07:02 > 2:07:06- so nobody can read your lips. - Ball was out, a fumble by Hillman.
2:07:06 > 2:07:08And it's recovered by Mike Mitchell!
2:07:10 > 2:07:13He gets off the block from Sanders.
2:07:13 > 2:07:15Takes the football away.
2:07:15 > 2:07:19And on just the second play for the Broncos, they cough it up.
2:07:19 > 2:07:221st and goal to go for the Steelers.
2:07:25 > 2:07:27It's Williams.
2:07:27 > 2:07:30He finds a little opening, and he's got the touchdown.
2:07:32 > 2:07:35That's his ninth touchdown carry of the season.
2:07:35 > 2:07:38The Broncos face 3rd and 9,
2:07:38 > 2:07:40Owen Daniels at the top.
2:07:40 > 2:07:42Split wide.
2:07:44 > 2:07:46Osweiler throws, at the goal-line!
2:07:46 > 2:07:49It's caught for the touchdown.
2:07:49 > 2:07:50Demaryius Thomas.
2:07:50 > 2:07:54It's one of the best throws of the year by Osweiler so far.
2:07:55 > 2:08:00- Oh, Sanders uncovered.- And Sanders takes off to the end zone.
2:08:00 > 2:08:04Returns to Pittsburgh and takes it 61 yards.
2:08:06 > 2:08:09Well, that puts all the corners,
2:08:09 > 2:08:12puts Roby back on the slot receiver.
2:08:12 > 2:08:14Chris Harris.
2:08:14 > 2:08:18Middle of the field, and diving attempt at a pick.
2:08:18 > 2:08:19They say it is.
2:08:19 > 2:08:25Here's Bush, Josh Bush, wrestled down by Wheaton at the 50.
2:08:25 > 2:08:27Was it a clean catch?
2:08:27 > 2:08:32A first look tells me that is a catch. Look at the coverage by Roby.
2:08:32 > 2:08:34Yep, that's going to stand.
2:08:36 > 2:08:38A 2nd and goal at the 1
2:08:38 > 2:08:41turns into a 3rd and goal back at the 7.
2:08:41 > 2:08:42Osweiler.
2:08:44 > 2:08:47And he's going to have a touchdown!
2:08:47 > 2:08:50Everybody's worried about coverage. Nobody looking at the quarterback,
2:08:50 > 2:08:53and Osweiler's moved a couple of times today at the right time.
2:08:53 > 2:08:55Big one for the touchdown.
2:08:55 > 2:09:00On Pittsburgh's ensuing possession, they put together a 14-play drive,
2:09:00 > 2:09:03ending in a Chris Boswell field goal to make it 20-10.
2:09:03 > 2:09:082nd and goal, the Broncos coming out of the two-minute warning.
2:09:08 > 2:09:10Over to Thomas. That works.
2:09:10 > 2:09:12Touchdown, Denver.
2:09:17 > 2:09:20In spite of the daunting 17-point deficit,
2:09:20 > 2:09:24Pittsburgh continued to fight, Boswell kicking a 41-yard field goal
2:09:24 > 2:09:28eight seconds before half-time to make it 27-13.
2:09:31 > 2:09:331st and goal at the 9.
2:09:35 > 2:09:37Roethlisberger to the endzone.
2:09:37 > 2:09:41That is caught for a touchdown. Over Harris.
2:09:41 > 2:09:45And that's the first one on Harris in two years.
2:09:45 > 2:09:46Watching.
2:09:46 > 2:09:48He's looking for the back shoulder throw
2:09:48 > 2:09:50to the corner by the pie line.
2:09:50 > 2:09:54In the front pie line, it's there, Antonio Brown reached it right,
2:09:54 > 2:09:58so did Ben Roethlisberger, and they throw it to the back of the endzone.
2:10:00 > 2:10:012nd and goal.
2:10:07 > 2:10:08Touchdown!
2:10:08 > 2:10:10Pay dirt for Pittsburgh.
2:10:10 > 2:10:16And again it was Roby who tried to defend, but Wheaton stayed with it.
2:10:16 > 2:10:20Nine-yard touchdown. All Steelers in the second half.
2:10:21 > 2:10:25They've come back from 17 down to tie it.
2:10:26 > 2:10:283rd and 16.
2:10:28 > 2:10:33This is where Denver struggles, obvious passing situations.
2:10:34 > 2:10:36Dropped.
2:10:36 > 2:10:39Vernon Davis had a huge drop last week.
2:10:39 > 2:10:42That would have been a 1st down, and he dropped this one.
2:10:42 > 2:10:46- The pass was perfect. - Vernon Davis goes through.
2:10:46 > 2:10:48He sees the safety coming up.
2:10:48 > 2:10:52And I think that's why he drops the football. Yes. He's looking ahead.
2:10:52 > 2:10:55He sees Mike Mitchell. It would have been a 1st down.
2:10:55 > 2:11:00So it's a 3rd and 2 now off the five yards.
2:11:00 > 2:11:03Changes everything. Bunch formation,
2:11:03 > 2:11:05try to get somebody
2:11:05 > 2:11:08a shield as they get down to go down the field.
2:11:08 > 2:11:09Roethlisberger.
2:11:09 > 2:11:12Players all over him. Incomplete.
2:11:12 > 2:11:16So, the Denver defense is able to make some plays.
2:11:16 > 2:11:172nd and 7.
2:11:20 > 2:11:22Play action coming after him.
2:11:22 > 2:11:24Breaks the tackle. Fires it.
2:11:26 > 2:11:28And it is picked off by Shazier!
2:11:30 > 2:11:33Dupree's all over him as they make the throw.
2:11:33 > 2:11:35And, of course, when you're under pressure, Jim,
2:11:35 > 2:11:37harder to make the right decision down the field.
2:11:37 > 2:11:39Mike Tomlin playing to the cameras.
2:11:39 > 2:11:411st down with three and a half to go.
2:11:44 > 2:11:46Fires it, touchdown!
2:11:46 > 2:11:48Again, it's Brown!
2:11:49 > 2:11:54Antonio Brown having another monster performance.
2:11:54 > 2:11:5623-yard touchdown.
2:11:56 > 2:12:00And Chris Harris, one of the absolute best in the league,
2:12:00 > 2:12:04he's been turned around like he hasn't seen,
2:12:04 > 2:12:07I don't know if he ever has in his career.
2:12:07 > 2:12:11That's what I've been watching and seeing for many weeks
2:12:11 > 2:12:14for Ben Roethlisberger, just one good throw after another.
2:12:16 > 2:12:17Here we go, 4th down.
2:12:18 > 2:12:20Thomas,
2:12:20 > 2:12:24and Sanders to the near side.
2:12:27 > 2:12:28Pass.
2:12:28 > 2:12:29Incomplete.
2:12:29 > 2:12:32That was going to be tough to pick up the 1st down,
2:12:32 > 2:12:36had he even caught it. A linebacker was waiting for Anderson.
2:12:36 > 2:12:39Remember, Denver still has three time-outs,
2:12:39 > 2:12:41plus the two-minute warning.
2:12:42 > 2:12:44Now the Steelers know one 1st down
2:12:44 > 2:12:48- would be enough to probably win the game.- 2nd and 9.
2:12:50 > 2:12:52They're going to throw it here.
2:12:54 > 2:12:56They're coming in on him.
2:12:56 > 2:12:57And it is intercepted!
2:12:57 > 2:13:00The Broncos defense has the football!
2:13:01 > 2:13:03And Ben can't believe he did it.
2:13:03 > 2:13:05Brandon Marshall with the pick.
2:13:06 > 2:13:10Roethlisberger, when I saw him move, I said, he'll just fall down.
2:13:10 > 2:13:13Were you surprised they decided to throw in the first place?
2:13:13 > 2:13:16Well, they were trying to win the game, I was surprised
2:13:16 > 2:13:19just because the way the Broncos offense has had
2:13:19 > 2:13:22so much trouble moving the ball, and everything.
2:13:22 > 2:13:26It had been a long field view, just run the football, putt it.
2:13:27 > 2:13:31But that was...as big as it gets.
2:13:32 > 2:13:35The Steelers have challenged them, and they've won in the second half.
2:13:35 > 2:13:39A much maligned secondary has come up big in this second half,
2:13:39 > 2:13:41and they need to make one more play.
2:13:41 > 2:13:424th and 10.
2:13:42 > 2:13:43Osweiler.
2:13:43 > 2:13:47Down the field and...
2:13:47 > 2:13:48incomplete.
2:13:50 > 2:13:56And just after the Broncos are given a gift on the interception,
2:13:56 > 2:13:59they squander it in four downs.
2:14:02 > 2:14:04Well, you know, it's not about how we start,
2:14:04 > 2:14:07it's all about how we finish. And we wasn't getting it down or anything.
2:14:07 > 2:14:10We knew we had to stay together, rally together.
2:14:10 > 2:14:14And fight to the finish. And we had to get an opportunity like today.
2:14:14 > 2:14:18This is the third straight game you haven't scored in the second half.
2:14:18 > 2:14:21What do you guys do at half-time?
2:14:21 > 2:14:23Obviously not the right things right now.
2:14:23 > 2:14:28And that's something that we are very aware of, as an offense.
2:14:28 > 2:14:32As you can see, we've got a job lot of baubles,
2:14:32 > 2:14:35and we're going to make sure we use them over the course of the show.
2:14:35 > 2:14:38The Steelers are on a roll, aren't they?
2:14:38 > 2:14:39Three wins on the trot,
2:14:39 > 2:14:42- all against divisional leaders at the time of play.- Yes, that offense
2:14:42 > 2:14:45is playing lights out right now. You see that passing game?
2:14:45 > 2:14:47They're throwing the ball anywhere and everywhere.
2:14:47 > 2:14:50If Big Ben is fully fit, that's the best offense
2:14:50 > 2:14:53- in the whole of the NFL, not just in the AFC?- Hands down.
2:14:53 > 2:14:54They've got the whole thing going.
2:14:54 > 2:14:57Good offensive line, a great quarterback,
2:14:57 > 2:15:00good running back, and three of the best receivers in football.
2:15:00 > 2:15:02Nobody can stop them.
2:15:02 > 2:15:05We talked about Green Bay fans and whether they should be worried.
2:15:05 > 2:15:09If you're a Broncos fan, they're still top of their division,
2:15:09 > 2:15:11but they could, depending on how the final two weeks go,
2:15:11 > 2:15:13miss out on the play-offs altogether.
2:15:13 > 2:15:16Yes, and they're not playing good football in the second half
2:15:16 > 2:15:18of these games. I don't know what's going on.
2:15:18 > 2:15:21The offense isn't moving the ball, which is making the defense
2:15:21 > 2:15:23be on the field longer, which is wearing them down.
2:15:23 > 2:15:25It's just not looking good for them.
2:15:25 > 2:15:28There's only so long fake teams can pretend, Mark.
2:15:28 > 2:15:31- Only so long fake teams can pretend. - They are not a fake team!
2:15:31 > 2:15:36- I'm just saying.- Is it... But they're not a fake team!
2:15:36 > 2:15:39- I'm just saying...- Well, we could be going round in circles.
2:15:39 > 2:15:41I could just keep going, "They're not a fake team,"
2:15:41 > 2:15:43and you'd be, like, "I'm just saying."
2:15:43 > 2:15:46But would it be unfair to put it all down to the fact that Osweiler
2:15:46 > 2:15:49was in instead of Peyton Manning? Because let's not forget
2:15:49 > 2:15:52when Peyton Manning went out, he wasn't playing great either.
2:15:52 > 2:15:54No, you can't put it all down to that,
2:15:54 > 2:15:57but you can a little because, you know, he doesn't have a
2:15:57 > 2:16:00lot of film, so they're figuring out what he can and cannot do.
2:16:00 > 2:16:01And by the second half of each game,
2:16:01 > 2:16:04it seems like defenses are adjusting.
2:16:04 > 2:16:06They are stopping him cold, man. He's a good young quarterback
2:16:06 > 2:16:09but at this particular junction, he is not what the Denver Broncos need.
2:16:09 > 2:16:11They need Peyton Manning in there.
2:16:11 > 2:16:13- Yeah, but they're not a fake team. - No.
2:16:13 > 2:16:17As we said earlier, Tampa Bay have been eliminated from play-off contention,
2:16:17 > 2:16:20which means that the 2015 number one draft choice, quarterback
2:16:20 > 2:16:24Jameis Winston, has only two games left of his rookie season.
2:16:24 > 2:16:27Good job, then, that he was wired for sound last week
2:16:27 > 2:16:28against the New Orleans Saints.
2:16:28 > 2:16:31It's a beautiful day in Tampa Bay so let's go out there
2:16:31 > 2:16:33and get a win today!
2:16:33 > 2:16:35It's a beautiful day in Tampa Bay so let's go out there
2:16:35 > 2:16:37and get a win today! Let's go, baby!
2:16:37 > 2:16:39- Let's go.- "Family," on three.
2:16:39 > 2:16:41- One, two, three... - ALL:- Family!
2:16:41 > 2:16:45Jameis running to his left. He's going to run to the 40, to the 30.
2:16:45 > 2:16:47He's going to get it to the 25-yard line.
2:16:47 > 2:16:49Now maybe the Buccaneer offense will get started.
2:16:49 > 2:16:51HE SHOUTS
2:16:51 > 2:16:53Running right.
2:16:53 > 2:16:56He's going to get through.
2:16:56 > 2:16:59Touchdown, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, touchdown Doug Martin.
2:17:02 > 2:17:05Good job. Go on and get in there.
2:17:05 > 2:17:08Hey, go ahead and get in front of his face.
2:17:08 > 2:17:10On the follow, go ahead and get in there
2:17:10 > 2:17:12because he just sitting right there.
2:17:12 > 2:17:15I need you across his face so he going to undercut you.
2:17:15 > 2:17:16Good job.
2:17:17 > 2:17:19Here he comes.
2:17:19 > 2:17:21Gets the pass away.
2:17:21 > 2:17:23It's made by Austin Seferian-Jenkins.
2:17:23 > 2:17:24He's now the first up.
2:17:26 > 2:17:291st down and goal from the New Orleans six-yard line.
2:17:29 > 2:17:32Running to the right side. Winston throws it ahead.
2:17:32 > 2:17:37Touchdown, Tampa Bay. Adam Humphries has his first touchdown.
2:17:37 > 2:17:40- Always a pleasure to play you. - Hey, man, I admire you a lot.
2:17:40 > 2:17:42- Lot of respect for you. - Thank you.
2:17:42 > 2:17:44Good stuff.
2:17:44 > 2:17:46Our next action features the other New York team, the Jets,
2:17:46 > 2:17:50who are desperately hanging on to the AFC's final wild card spot,
2:17:50 > 2:17:54as they travel to the NFC's team of disappointment, the Dallas Cowboys.
2:17:54 > 2:17:56LAUGHTER
2:17:56 > 2:17:59The Dallas Cowboys, five-times Super Bowl champions,
2:17:59 > 2:18:05a giant franchise playing out of the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
2:18:05 > 2:18:08The Cowboys, America's team.
2:18:08 > 2:18:12But 20 years have passed since their last Super Bowl triumph
2:18:12 > 2:18:16and now their chances of making the play-offs hang on victory over the
2:18:16 > 2:18:20New York Jets, who can still claim a wild-card spot for themselves.
2:18:27 > 2:18:29Dez Bryant. He is as healthy as he's been.
2:18:29 > 2:18:32Coming off perhaps his worst game ever, though, as a cowboy.
2:18:32 > 2:18:35Only one catch after Green Bay and they're looking his way.
2:18:35 > 2:18:36There he is.
2:18:37 > 2:18:39What in the world happened that time?
2:18:39 > 2:18:43That kind of sums it up for this Dallas Cowboys offense.
2:18:43 > 2:18:45After failing to reach the end zone,
2:18:45 > 2:18:49Dallas settled for a Dan Bailey field goal to take a 3-0 lead.
2:18:49 > 2:18:52The Jets went three and out on the ensuing possession,
2:18:52 > 2:18:55the Cowboys getting the ball back with good field position.
2:18:57 > 2:18:59Right at the 50, faces 2nd and 17.
2:19:02 > 2:19:04Cassel lost his balance.
2:19:04 > 2:19:07And then just throws it right to Revis.
2:19:07 > 2:19:08Flags are out,
2:19:08 > 2:19:14as Revis is slammed down by Collins.
2:19:14 > 2:19:18I guess he's trying to throw it out of bounds. Darrelle Revis...
2:19:18 > 2:19:20They don't come easier than that.
2:19:23 > 2:19:26Handoff, power. Look at that burst! Touchdown, Jets.
2:19:30 > 2:19:33Third straight game he's scored a touchdown. Bilal Powell.
2:19:34 > 2:19:38That one was a pretty impressive little burst.
2:19:38 > 2:19:41The handoff. Extra point by Bullock...
2:19:41 > 2:19:43is no good.
2:19:43 > 2:19:46It's his first miss as a Jet. He had struggled down in Houston.
2:19:48 > 2:19:52Well, here's a development. The Cowboys have switched quarterbacks.
2:19:52 > 2:19:55Kellen Moore, who had a decorated career at Boise State,
2:19:55 > 2:20:01is about to take his first career NFL snap. In his fourth year.
2:20:01 > 2:20:03He was a backup at Detroit for a few years.
2:20:03 > 2:20:07He's never played in an NFL game until this very moment.
2:20:07 > 2:20:08Linehan, the coordinator here,
2:20:08 > 2:20:11had him for a couple of years in Detroit.
2:20:11 > 2:20:14He's in trouble. Ducks, gets it away,
2:20:14 > 2:20:16and he's intercepted.
2:20:16 > 2:20:18His second NFL pass is a pick.
2:20:20 > 2:20:22And shoved out of bounds.
2:20:22 > 2:20:26Gilchrist has his third pick of the year.
2:20:26 > 2:20:30Following the interception, the Jets converted a 36-yard
2:20:30 > 2:20:33Randy Bullock field goal to make it 9-3,
2:20:33 > 2:20:37but the Cowboys would get one more chance to score before half-time.
2:20:40 > 2:20:411st and goal it is.
2:20:43 > 2:20:48Over to Dez. And into the end zone for a Dallas touchdown.
2:20:54 > 2:20:58Well, he's comfortable now. He's got confidence, hit some passes.
2:20:58 > 2:20:592nd and goal.
2:21:00 > 2:21:02Moore.
2:21:02 > 2:21:04Stands in the pocket.
2:21:04 > 2:21:06Throw's intercepted in the end zone by Pryor.
2:21:06 > 2:21:09Tripped up near the ten-yard line.
2:21:09 > 2:21:11Almost the same thing that happened to him
2:21:11 > 2:21:13on the first throw down the middle.
2:21:13 > 2:21:15The backside safety, he never sees him.
2:21:18 > 2:21:22And there's an interception, right back by Terrance Mitchell.
2:21:22 > 2:21:25Just brought back to Dallas.
2:21:25 > 2:21:28And put on the roster.
2:21:28 > 2:21:31The Cowboys converted the turnover into points,
2:21:31 > 2:21:33as Dan Bailey hit a 38-yard field goal,
2:21:33 > 2:21:38to extend their lead to four points heading into the fourth quarter.
2:21:45 > 2:21:473rd and 13.
2:21:47 > 2:21:50Fitzpatrick up the middle on the go...
2:21:50 > 2:21:52and he's got his target.
2:21:52 > 2:21:55What a catching effort by Enunwa.
2:21:56 > 2:21:59To fight off defenders and set them up 1st and goal
2:21:59 > 2:22:01to go 25-yard pass play.
2:22:01 > 2:22:06Marshall at the top, Decker shifting over to that left side as well.
2:22:06 > 2:22:10And that's Decker. Really no-one near him. Touchdown, New York.
2:22:11 > 2:22:14His 10th of the season.
2:22:14 > 2:22:16So Darrelle Revis can see them.
2:22:16 > 2:22:18If they want to, they can always help out,
2:22:18 > 2:22:21because they know where he's going to be.
2:22:21 > 2:22:24Good catch, reaching back for it.
2:22:25 > 2:22:29And Bailey from 50. Has not missed from 50 and beyond this season.
2:22:29 > 2:22:31This to tie the game.
2:22:31 > 2:22:33And Bailey's kick...
2:22:34 > 2:22:38..hits the upright and goes through.
2:22:38 > 2:22:42The game is tied with 1:55 to play.
2:22:42 > 2:22:44Plenty of time. I'd be getting field-goal range.
2:22:44 > 2:22:47Fitzpatrick. Pressure on. The pass...
2:22:47 > 2:22:50into the hands of Thompkins.
2:22:50 > 2:22:55And Thompkins has them set up in field-goal range.
2:22:55 > 2:22:57The Jets have won two games in overtime
2:22:57 > 2:22:59and now this is to avoid overtime.
2:22:59 > 2:23:04This is for Bullock with 41 seconds to go, to put the Jets up.
2:23:04 > 2:23:05From 40 yards out, Bullock...
2:23:05 > 2:23:07comes through.
2:23:07 > 2:23:10Jets take the lead at 19-16.
2:23:10 > 2:23:15I don't like three-man rushes in situations like this.
2:23:15 > 2:23:18We saw it in Green Bay just a few weeks ago.
2:23:18 > 2:23:20Quarterbacks can move too much.
2:23:20 > 2:23:21That was actually in Detroit
2:23:21 > 2:23:24when Green Bay pulled it out with a Hail Mary, and here's...
2:23:24 > 2:23:27Kellen Moore, unwinding, looking for Dez,
2:23:27 > 2:23:30and it's intercepted to close out the game.
2:23:30 > 2:23:34Marcus Williams with his sixth pick of the year.
2:23:34 > 2:23:37And the Cowboys' slim hopes
2:23:37 > 2:23:42are down to no hopes for the play-offs.
2:23:42 > 2:23:44Good game.
2:23:44 > 2:23:47What happened over there on the top of your nose?
2:23:47 > 2:23:50I still haven't seen it so I don't know how ugly it is,
2:23:50 > 2:23:52but, I don't know, we were just out there playing,
2:23:52 > 2:23:55my helmet came down on me...
2:23:55 > 2:23:57Waaahhhhh!
2:23:59 > 2:24:01Is this live?
2:24:01 > 2:24:02LAUGHTER
2:24:02 > 2:24:05The odd thing is that, before going on air,
2:24:05 > 2:24:09we talked about how the fact that Ryan Fitzpatrick is steady
2:24:09 > 2:24:13is a big plus point for the Jets, aside from that!
2:24:13 > 2:24:16Yeah, he's great for that team because he's controlling the
2:24:16 > 2:24:20ball on offense, and Todd Bowles is building that team around defense.
2:24:20 > 2:24:21So because their defense is
2:24:21 > 2:24:25so strong, it's going to need to rest at times and therefore even if
2:24:25 > 2:24:28Fitzpatrick doesn't score on a drive, is that what you're saying, as long
2:24:28 > 2:24:30as he keeps them out for a while, it lets the defense rest.
2:24:30 > 2:24:33Yes, maintaining those drives is so important,
2:24:33 > 2:24:35because those big guys up front, they need a rest.
2:24:35 > 2:24:38You can't have them running down the field. He knows that.
2:24:38 > 2:24:40No, I don't. I don't.
2:24:40 > 2:24:43But do you think sometimes we, as in NFL fans,
2:24:43 > 2:24:44don't necessarily get that?
2:24:44 > 2:24:48You might not understand that, but, the type of quarterback that he is,
2:24:48 > 2:24:51he's not like a Tom Brady or a Peyton Manning type quarterback,
2:24:51 > 2:24:54he's a game-manager quarterback, and if you're going to have
2:24:54 > 2:24:56that guy at quarterback, you have to have a great defense,
2:24:56 > 2:24:59which is what the Jets have, and he complements them very, very well.
2:24:59 > 2:25:01So can you flip that back to the Broncos
2:25:01 > 2:25:03and their second-half performances?
2:25:03 > 2:25:06Their offense were on and off very quickly, and with the defense
2:25:06 > 2:25:10being the Broncos' strength, maybe they get tired in the second half?
2:25:10 > 2:25:12There is the Peyton Manning argument.
2:25:12 > 2:25:14That's what Peyton does well.
2:25:14 > 2:25:16He knows what's going on in the whole game,
2:25:16 > 2:25:18he knows if that defense needs a rest,
2:25:18 > 2:25:19you've had too many three-and-outs,
2:25:19 > 2:25:22he knows, "Hey, I've got to do some things to sustain
2:25:22 > 2:25:25"this drive, to make sure those guys are getting the appropriate rest."
2:25:25 > 2:25:28This might be hard for you as a Giant but do you want to just give a
2:25:28 > 2:25:31word of praise to Todd Bowles in his first year as the Jets' head coach?
2:25:31 > 2:25:33Todd's my guy, I know him personally,
2:25:33 > 2:25:36- he's a really good manager. - So what kind of guy is he, then?
2:25:36 > 2:25:39He's a really good guy, really quiet, doesn't say too much.
2:25:39 > 2:25:40- Methodical?- Very methodical,
2:25:40 > 2:25:43and he has his finger on the pulse of this football team.
2:25:43 > 2:25:46They respect him tremendously, he was great for that team,
2:25:46 > 2:25:48coming off of what Rex Ryan was.
2:25:48 > 2:25:50You know, the loud, blustery Rex Ryan,
2:25:50 > 2:25:53he is the anti-Rex Ryan and he's doing a great job in his first year.
2:25:53 > 2:25:56Right, time now for our second round-up.
2:25:56 > 2:26:00The AFC South is another keenly contested division.
2:26:00 > 2:26:02The Jacksonville Jaguars have been trying to keep pace
2:26:02 > 2:26:05with the Texans and the Colts as they vie for the division lead.
2:26:05 > 2:26:07On Sunday, Houston travelled to Indianapolis,
2:26:07 > 2:26:11a city where they have never won in 13 attempts.
2:26:14 > 2:26:17Indianapolis scored the first touchdown against Houston,
2:26:17 > 2:26:20but it was the Texans who ended a two-game losing streak.
2:26:20 > 2:26:23Their replacement quarterback, Brandon Weeden,
2:26:23 > 2:26:25threw a go-ahead 8-yard touchdown pass
2:26:25 > 2:26:27to Jaelen Strong in the fourth quarter,
2:26:27 > 2:26:30to put Houston at the top of the AFC South.
2:26:31 > 2:26:33They'll be champions with one more win.
2:26:33 > 2:26:37Indianapolis now need help to make the play-off.
2:26:39 > 2:26:41New England continue to roll.
2:26:41 > 2:26:45Tight end Rob Gronkowski reeling in another touchdown
2:26:45 > 2:26:48to open the scoring against the lacklustre Tennessee team.
2:26:48 > 2:26:51A keen Hicks added a 7-yard fumble return
2:26:51 > 2:26:54and James White reeled in a 30-yard score,
2:26:54 > 2:26:58as New England enjoyed a three-touchdown lead at the half.
2:26:58 > 2:27:01This regulation victory assures New England
2:27:01 > 2:27:04a first round play-off bye on wild card week.
2:27:08 > 2:27:11Cincinnati grabbed a fifth straight post-season berth
2:27:11 > 2:27:13by easing past San Francisco.
2:27:13 > 2:27:16Jeremy Hill ran for a pair of 1-yard touchdowns
2:27:16 > 2:27:19as quarterback AJ McCarron found Tyler Kroft
2:27:19 > 2:27:21with this 20-yard touchdown pass
2:27:21 > 2:27:24to celebrate his debut and seal the victory.
2:27:28 > 2:27:32And Kansas City's win streak extended to eight games
2:27:32 > 2:27:35as they travelled to Baltimore on Sunday.
2:27:35 > 2:27:39Tyvon Branch scored on a 73-yard fumble recovery in the first quarter
2:27:39 > 2:27:44and Marcus Peters rounded off the rout with a 90-yard interception.
2:27:44 > 2:27:46It's a foot race!
2:27:46 > 2:27:48You can kiss him goodbye!
2:27:49 > 2:27:51Touchdown!
2:27:52 > 2:27:54Peters has done it again!
2:27:54 > 2:27:57Kansas City still leads the wild card race
2:27:57 > 2:27:59and have an outside chance of wrestling
2:27:59 > 2:28:01the AFC West title away from Denver.
2:28:05 > 2:28:07It's an age-old argument,
2:28:07 > 2:28:11but if you think that one of Jets, Steelers, Broncos, Chiefs
2:28:11 > 2:28:14are likely to miss out on the play-offs
2:28:14 > 2:28:16and, yet, somebody from the AFC South
2:28:16 > 2:28:19will go through with an inferior record.
2:28:19 > 2:28:20Is that fair?
2:28:20 > 2:28:23It's fair. Because that's the way it's set up.
2:28:23 > 2:28:25That's the easiest way in, win your conference.
2:28:25 > 2:28:27Should that happen?
2:28:27 > 2:28:28Well...
2:28:28 > 2:28:31I'm conflicted on this, because it shouldn't happen
2:28:31 > 2:28:34but, at the same time, you know the rules going in.
2:28:34 > 2:28:37I mean, the NFL stipulates that this is what's going to happen.
2:28:37 > 2:28:39So, I mean, if you know that, how can you argue with it?
2:28:39 > 2:28:42But the interesting thing you were saying about winning your division
2:28:42 > 2:28:45and that's the most important thing, obviously,
2:28:45 > 2:28:49is that sometimes franchises will set up simply to win their division.
2:28:49 > 2:28:50That's exactly how you build your team.
2:28:50 > 2:28:52- So when you are at the Texans...? - Yeah.
2:28:52 > 2:28:54We were playing against Peyton Manning.
2:28:54 > 2:28:57We were not going to get a better quarterback.
2:28:57 > 2:28:59We knew we had to get defensive players
2:28:59 > 2:29:01to stop him and slow him down.
2:29:01 > 2:29:03That was our best way of getting in the play-offs.
2:29:03 > 2:29:05Didn't work well, but we tried!
2:29:05 > 2:29:08So you're not looking at the bigger picture?
2:29:08 > 2:29:10You are looking at the bigger picture.
2:29:10 > 2:29:12But you got to get in the picture first!
2:29:12 > 2:29:15You got to at least get in the play-offs,
2:29:15 > 2:29:18or know you have a chance to start to build your team from that.
2:29:18 > 2:29:20Coach Coughlin would always say this...
2:29:20 > 2:29:22"The easiest way into the play-offs is to win your division.
2:29:22 > 2:29:25"You get into the play-offs, and anything can happen."
2:29:25 > 2:29:26We showed that on numerous occasions.
2:29:26 > 2:29:29Anything can happen once you get into the play-offs.
2:29:29 > 2:29:31But the key was to get into the play-offs first.
2:29:31 > 2:29:32We talked about the Broncos a lot.
2:29:32 > 2:29:35Do you think the Chiefs can catch the Broncos in the NFC?
2:29:35 > 2:29:38The Chiefs are playing really good football right now.
2:29:38 > 2:29:39Alex Smith is playing his best football.
2:29:39 > 2:29:42And they've got some defensive stars. I think they're good.
2:29:42 > 2:29:45- I think they are dangerous. - Oh, definitely. They can catch them.
2:29:45 > 2:29:48If Denver's not careful, the Chiefs will catch them and win the division
2:29:48 > 2:29:50with these last two games.
2:29:50 > 2:29:53So they better play good football and win these next two.
2:29:53 > 2:29:55As you can see, Cleveland and Oakland,
2:29:55 > 2:29:58the last two go to the Chiefs. Both eminently winnable.
2:29:58 > 2:30:01Yeah. They can run through that!
2:30:01 > 2:30:03Right, Let's round up the sights and sounds
2:30:03 > 2:30:05that you may have missed from week 15.
2:30:08 > 2:30:10CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
2:30:10 > 2:30:11Wow!
2:30:11 > 2:30:13- Nice job.- Done, baby!
2:30:13 > 2:30:18You got to bear down, lean on each other, tighten up down, bro.
2:30:18 > 2:30:21Cos we don't give. You go to believe it. Focus on that vision we set
2:30:21 > 2:30:22and take it from there, bro.
2:30:24 > 2:30:26Now, there's nothing like winning!
2:30:26 > 2:30:28Doesn't matter what win it is.
2:30:28 > 2:30:29But it goes to show,
2:30:29 > 2:30:32- you just keep on fighting your- BLEEP- off every day,
2:30:32 > 2:30:34sticking together,
2:30:34 > 2:30:37leaders stepping up and just keep on rolling
2:30:37 > 2:30:38through all that adversity, men,
2:30:38 > 2:30:41you come out here in an atmosphere like this.
2:30:41 > 2:30:42We know it wasn't going to be easy.
2:30:42 > 2:30:44It was going to be emotional for a lot of people,
2:30:44 > 2:30:46for a number of different reasons, men,
2:30:46 > 2:30:48but we just kept on sticking together
2:30:48 > 2:30:51and just that first half was outstanding, men.
2:30:55 > 2:30:57So as we round out week 15,
2:30:57 > 2:31:01just 18 teams remain in contention for a play-off place in the NFC.
2:31:01 > 2:31:04Unbeaten Carolina have been joined by Arizona
2:31:04 > 2:31:06as winners of the South and West respectively
2:31:06 > 2:31:08Green Bay still leads the North
2:31:08 > 2:31:10and have claimed at least a wild card berth,
2:31:10 > 2:31:13but they may still be caught by Minnesota.
2:31:13 > 2:31:16Washington now enjoy a one-game lead in the East.
2:31:16 > 2:31:19Philadelphia and the New York Giants can only make the play-offs
2:31:19 > 2:31:22by beating Washington to the division title.
2:31:22 > 2:31:24Seattle have secured one of the wild card spots.
2:31:24 > 2:31:28And Atlanta's hopes are wafer thin.
2:31:28 > 2:31:30In the AFC, New England are champions of the East
2:31:30 > 2:31:32and will have a bye on wild card weekend.
2:31:32 > 2:31:35Cincinnati lead the North and have secured at least a play-off place.
2:31:35 > 2:31:37Denver still leads the West,
2:31:37 > 2:31:39just one game ahead of Kansas City,
2:31:39 > 2:31:40who occupy one of the wild card berths.
2:31:40 > 2:31:42Houston now lead the South.
2:31:42 > 2:31:46Indianapolis and Jacksonville can only make post-season play
2:31:46 > 2:31:47by deposing them.
2:31:47 > 2:31:50Pittsburgh have replaced the New York Jets as the final wild card,
2:31:50 > 2:31:54but there is, of course, still two games to go.
2:31:54 > 2:31:56Little bit of social media to finish.
2:31:56 > 2:32:00Let's do the NFL rookie question first from Allen Omura.
2:32:00 > 2:32:03Would you explain, please, the fair catch rules
2:32:03 > 2:32:05in relation to kick returns? Jason...
2:32:05 > 2:32:10The fair catch is you wave your arm above your waist, above your head
2:32:10 > 2:32:13and it gives you a chance to catch the ball without being tackled.
2:32:13 > 2:32:15OK. Very simple.
2:32:15 > 2:32:18Although catches are proving even more difficult to explain.
2:32:18 > 2:32:19Jordan Spieth...
2:32:19 > 2:32:22I've just got to do this cos he's very clean-cut, is Jordan Spieth.
2:32:22 > 2:32:25But he wasn't impressed with Beckham Junior
2:32:25 > 2:32:27embarrassing himself right now.
2:32:27 > 2:32:32And I think this picture is very poignant, which is on NFL UK,
2:32:32 > 2:32:35which could have been the last game in San Diego for the Chargers.
2:32:35 > 2:32:36It's difficult for us to understand.
2:32:36 > 2:32:39- Is that a shame that they'll leave San Diego?- Yes.
2:32:39 > 2:32:42Going to be a sad day for San Diego fans. It is.
2:32:42 > 2:32:45Right, thank you very much to both of you. That wraps up week 15.
2:32:45 > 2:32:48Just a couple of games to the end of the regular season.
2:32:48 > 2:32:50And Nat and Mike will have live coverage
2:32:50 > 2:32:52of the Packers at the Cardinals
2:32:52 > 2:32:57in their regular Sunday night slot on 5 Live Sports Extra from 7:30.
2:32:57 > 2:32:58That's it from us.
2:32:58 > 2:33:01On behalf of the three of us, have yourself a very happy Christmas.
2:33:01 > 2:33:04Or, if you're watching the repeat, happy Boxing Day!
2:33:04 > 2:33:06Goodbye!
2:33:07 > 2:33:09Across the conferences...
2:33:11 > 2:33:13..up and down the divisions,
2:33:13 > 2:33:14play off places are claimed.
2:33:14 > 2:33:17Joy for those who know they are through.
2:33:18 > 2:33:21Others must wait for week 16.
2:33:22 > 2:33:25Whose faces will light up next week?
2:33:25 > 2:33:27The chances of the Jacksonville Jaguars
2:33:27 > 2:33:29or the New York Giants may be slim.
2:33:30 > 2:33:34The pathway for the Texans and the Broncos may be clearer.
2:33:34 > 2:33:36I don't care what it might look like,
2:33:36 > 2:33:38but we have to step up to the plate!
2:33:38 > 2:33:43But while there is hope, there will be an adventure at Christmas time.
2:33:44 > 2:33:50Oh, to smile into the New Year and stay in the race to Super Bowl 50.
2:33:50 > 2:33:51All the way to Super Bowl, baby!
