:00:31. > :00:38.COMMENTATOR: Bolt gets a pretty good start. He's
:00:39. > :00:46.not going to catch Coleman. Coleman has the lead. Gatlin WinZip! It's
:00:47. > :00:52.Gatlin! STUDIO:
:00:53. > :00:55.When you look at that again, welcome to BBC Two and our continued
:00:56. > :00:58.coverage of the World Athletics Championships, we've just seen
:00:59. > :01:01.something we never thought we'd see, Justin Gatlin winning the World
:01:02. > :01:06.Championships at the age of 35. And Usain Bolt coming in third and
:01:07. > :01:10.Christian Coleman, the USA, coming in second. I was looking at Coleman
:01:11. > :01:14.thinking, he must have been thinking, I'm ahead of Usain Bolt,
:01:15. > :01:23.then therefore I'm winning the race. That's the way it's supposed to
:01:24. > :01:28.work, but not this time. It's incredible, as we said before. Bolt
:01:29. > :01:33.didn't have to be here, but he's here and he put himself out there
:01:34. > :01:38.and I think, you know, we say it's not what people came to see, but we
:01:39. > :01:42.have to remember that this is a competition. These athletes are all
:01:43. > :01:48.world-class and this is hard. It's not easy. We saw that with Bolt. I
:01:49. > :01:51.think what was so great about the eye and bold documentary as it
:01:52. > :01:55.showed how difficult it is, even for someone as good as he is. For him to
:01:56. > :02:01.come in here, he's done it many times, come in not very healthy,
:02:02. > :02:07.he's run himself through the rounds. This time, you know, he would have
:02:08. > :02:11.to have known that my luck might run out one of these days because you've
:02:12. > :02:15.got to have a bit of luck. He's had great luck when it comes to
:02:16. > :02:20.injuries. I love it when he starts directing cameras! This is what
:02:21. > :02:24.everyone loves. The race is over, the meat is over, people are still
:02:25. > :02:27.here because they want to see that. He could do with it all night and
:02:28. > :02:32.they may be here until the early morning, because he loves this! And
:02:33. > :02:38.he knows this is the end. This is the very last time. In a stadium of
:02:39. > :02:43.this magnitude. It's interesting, when the athletes are being paraded
:02:44. > :02:49.in, when they came out of the tunnel, one at a time, when he came
:02:50. > :02:54.out, for a split-second isle saw a look on his face and I thought if he
:02:55. > :02:59.could his mind. In his jovial way, then a very serious look, for just a
:03:00. > :03:02.plate second and I thought if I could read his mind, the what he's
:03:03. > :03:06.thinking right now, this is the last time I'm going to do this. I think
:03:07. > :03:09.he had to bring himself back and I'm sure that would have been on his
:03:10. > :03:15.mind, because he loves this. He looks coming out here and performing
:03:16. > :03:24.and interacting with the crowd. This is it. He loves chatting to this
:03:25. > :03:31.man. We are with him now. Usain, Usain... Getting messages from up on
:03:32. > :03:37.top. I know Jamaican TV are waiting for you. Thank for talking to us, we
:03:38. > :03:41.appreciated. Can you begin to sum up what happened to you outside that
:03:42. > :03:46.night? Taking the adulation of the crowd but not winning the gold? It's
:03:47. > :03:51.wonderful. I just thought I could come out and deliver as I wanted to,
:03:52. > :03:56.it's one of those things. As for the race itself in a semis it seems like
:03:57. > :04:00.you had a bit of luck, I can take you on the final, and the confidence
:04:01. > :04:04.had gone up a notch maybe and it didn't quite happen for you. The
:04:05. > :04:07.start was killing me. Normally I'll get through the round and get better
:04:08. > :04:11.through the rounds but it didn't come together and that's what killed
:04:12. > :04:15.me. It didn't come together. I knew if it didn't come together, I felt
:04:16. > :04:18.like it was there. The fact I didn't get it, that's why, that's the
:04:19. > :04:22.reason I lost. It's one of those things. How were you able to handle
:04:23. > :04:28.the emotions of the day? The emotions for others were something,
:04:29. > :04:33.your last individual race in a major championship. It was rough, up and
:04:34. > :04:35.down, a little bit stress. I came out here, like any World
:04:36. > :04:41.Championship and I came out and did my best. And now, your career about
:04:42. > :04:45.come to an end come you have the relay to come. Is there anything you
:04:46. > :04:47.want to say to the British public who have got behind you and
:04:48. > :04:51.supported you through the years? We've loved seeing you. It's
:04:52. > :04:55.brilliant, it's been outstanding. I could never expect this, they really
:04:56. > :05:02.stand by me and pushed me to do my best and I really appreciate that.
:05:03. > :05:06.You -- Usain, we thank you for all the memories. Thank you.
:05:07. > :05:10.STUDIO: Businesslike, getting on with the
:05:11. > :05:16.interviews. At some point it will hit him, it didn't end the way it
:05:17. > :05:19.has always ended for him. In his mind, it's all the same for him, he
:05:20. > :05:23.doesn't treat the relay any different than he does the 100 or
:05:24. > :05:27.200 full stop it's still an opportunity to come out and perform,
:05:28. > :05:31.so I think he will view that as the end for him. I'm sure he will be
:05:32. > :05:41.looking forward to that. There will be another competition. In the film
:05:42. > :05:45.which was on again today, I am Bolt, you can see the importance of the
:05:46. > :05:48.relay in Beijing, with his band of Brothers, it's apparent that he's
:05:49. > :05:53.not an individual in that team, he's very much part of that team.
:05:54. > :05:57.Absolutely. He's got that left, so there's one more opportunity. That
:05:58. > :06:03.will be his last race. There's going to be another competition again.
:06:04. > :06:07.This sport is hard and the Americans, the Japanese, the Brits,
:06:08. > :06:13.we'll all be out there, not giving anything to Usain Bolt. They're not
:06:14. > :06:17.going to let him have it, they'll try to take it away from him.
:06:18. > :06:27.They've seen he is fallible. Let's look back at the race and pick out
:06:28. > :06:31.any moments. Yeah. So I think that he talked about the start. It wasn't
:06:32. > :06:35.great, but he's never really had a great start, but here's where think
:06:36. > :06:42.it really fell apart for him. He just wasn't able to close the gap.
:06:43. > :06:46.This is typical. We seen this many times. Once he gets up into his
:06:47. > :06:49.running, at this point, is usually when he can start to take advantage
:06:50. > :06:53.of a long stride and close the gap and he wasn't able to do it and the
:06:54. > :06:57.first time we see him there grimacing, starting to tighten up.
:06:58. > :07:00.It's something Usain Bolt has never done before, that Lynn benefit a
:07:01. > :07:05.little bit from being out of the mix and running his own race -- Gatlin
:07:06. > :07:09.benefited a little bit. He's a veteran, he's been around since
:07:10. > :07:13.2004. We've never seen this from Usain Bolt, never seen this look in
:07:14. > :07:18.all of the archives, you will not find that! Never. He's never had to
:07:19. > :07:23.do that. He wanted it and he wanted to go get it and sometimes what
:07:24. > :07:25.happens is he's a great technician, a great tactician, he can put
:07:26. > :07:30.together a race strategy, he knows what to do, but when you come under
:07:31. > :07:33.that pressure there is nothing new well -- there's nothing else you can
:07:34. > :07:37.do except for go to your athleticism, which there hasn't been
:07:38. > :07:39.anyone better than him, so that's what he did and you can't blame him,
:07:40. > :07:41.anyone better than him, so that's what he did and you can't blame him,
:07:42. > :07:45.that's all he could do at that point, just make like you are back
:07:46. > :07:49.in the schoolyard, just try to beat the next kid. That's what he did.
:07:50. > :07:54.We've never seen that before. The kid of course who beaten today is
:07:55. > :07:57.the man who two years ago in the World Championships in Beijing was
:07:58. > :08:01.painted as a real villain, the pantomime villain. The crowd here
:08:02. > :08:06.also decided they were going to boo him every time he appeared here, but
:08:07. > :08:12.at 35 years old, having won his first gold medal in 2004 in an
:08:13. > :08:15.Olympic Games, he won his first gold in a World Championships today. We
:08:16. > :08:19.spoke to him. We appreciate you coming to talk to
:08:20. > :08:25.is after one of the biggest Victor Ruiz of your career. Does it feel
:08:26. > :08:30.bittersweet, the reception from the London crowd? It's not about the
:08:31. > :08:34.crowd, I took it out through all the rounds, I stayed the course. I kept
:08:35. > :08:38.my energy through the semis, I came to the finals and did what I have to
:08:39. > :08:42.do. The people who love me are here cheering for me. They are at home
:08:43. > :08:47.cheering for me, my countrymen are cheering for me. That's what I focus
:08:48. > :08:50.on. You have family tonight here, you got emotional on the track. It
:08:51. > :08:55.must have boiled up all at once for you. It's a surreal moment. I
:08:56. > :09:00.thought about all the things I would do if I did win, I didn't do any of
:09:01. > :09:04.that. It was like almost like 2004 all over again. I won by a little
:09:05. > :09:09.margin and to come across the line and have that excitement, it's still
:09:10. > :09:12.an amazing night because it's Usain Bolt's last race, he's had so many
:09:13. > :09:17.victories and ceremony losses, to be able to have to run against him
:09:18. > :09:23.through the years, you know, this is amazing. It showed what a great man
:09:24. > :09:26.he is as well but in the moment immediately after the race, he was
:09:27. > :09:31.the first person to come over and embrace you. I mean, we are rivals
:09:32. > :09:35.on the track and we have a rivalry on the track throughout the years,
:09:36. > :09:38.but we joke and have a good time. The first thing he said to me was,
:09:39. > :09:43.congratulations, you worked hard for this. He said, you don't deserve all
:09:44. > :09:49.these booze. He inspired me throughout my career. He's an
:09:50. > :09:54.amazing man. Justin, we appreciate your time. Congratulations on the
:09:55. > :09:55.gold medal. Thank you very much, thank you.
:09:56. > :10:00.STUDIO: He served two drug barons in his
:10:01. > :10:03.career. There have been conversations about what could
:10:04. > :10:07.Justin Gatlin have been without coming to that? He had so much
:10:08. > :10:10.natural talent and if he'd only let himself find out through his natural
:10:11. > :10:14.talent, obviously a great athlete but tainted always because of that.
:10:15. > :10:18.I wonder how this will be received throughout the world because Usain
:10:19. > :10:24.Bolt is truly global. Yes, I think he'll be overshadowed by you -- by
:10:25. > :10:30.Usain. It's a difficult situation. We all wanted to see Usain win and
:10:31. > :10:32.we've had our troubles within our sport with drug-taking and we're
:10:33. > :10:39.trying to come out the other side now, so for this victory it's kind
:10:40. > :10:44.of a one, but I mean for me, just to see Usain here one as time was
:10:45. > :10:48.incredible. I just wish all the best and want to see him go on and do
:10:49. > :10:52.other things with his life now and enjoy retirement. In the United
:10:53. > :10:56.States, this be, because he's obviously huge there, Usain Bolt,
:10:57. > :11:00.but Justin Gatlin being a citizen of the United States, will this be
:11:01. > :11:04.received warmly? Will they feel slightly bittersweet, because
:11:05. > :11:09.obviously Coleman would have been a better successor, perhaps? I think
:11:10. > :11:14.that in the US I think first of all athletics isn't nearly as, its
:11:15. > :11:18.overshadowed. We've got four Premier leagues in the US, with MBA, NFL,
:11:19. > :11:24.hockey and baseball. Athletics just doesn't really sort of resonate and
:11:25. > :11:28.it doesn't really get much attention. I think that a lot of
:11:29. > :11:33.people within the track and field world and the athletics world and
:11:34. > :11:38.the US, I do want to get into the two drugs bans but if you are
:11:39. > :11:44.interested, it's because he served two drugs bans that bothers you so
:11:45. > :11:47.much, look at the man and judge for yourself on the first band. I'm not
:11:48. > :11:51.going to get into whether or not it should have been two or one, I don't
:11:52. > :11:55.care how many bands you served. If I've got a problem with any athlete
:11:56. > :12:02.who has stoked. I've got a problem with it whether it's two one. People
:12:03. > :12:05.in the states in America, know about who are in the athletics world, they
:12:06. > :12:08.know about the first ban and they know what it's about and maybe some
:12:09. > :12:14.people in America probably give him a pass on that. They know Usain Bolt
:12:15. > :12:19.and they love Usain Bolt. They would have preferred to see Usain Bolt
:12:20. > :12:23.when this. Anybody around the world wanted Usain Bolt to win this, no
:12:24. > :12:29.matter what country they are from, he's just that sort of star. But I
:12:30. > :12:34.think as far as Gatlin is concerned, most people are going to want it to
:12:35. > :12:38.be over. They are sort of tired of it and ready to move on. And maybe
:12:39. > :12:43.he will decide now he's finally put his arm in his head, his Demons to
:12:44. > :12:48.rest. He said, I finally got over the line after 2004. We're going to
:12:49. > :12:51.go back down to where Phil had moved on from his mixed zone position
:12:52. > :12:55.because Usain Bolt left and came back again because he wanted to have
:12:56. > :12:59.a look at his race. I've been in those positions a few times, he's
:13:00. > :13:04.such a student of sprinting, before he speaks to you he wants to analyse
:13:05. > :13:09.the race himself. I'm not sure if Phil helped him through this. Maybe
:13:10. > :13:10.a job is on the line. Let's look. Here's the race, you were talking
:13:11. > :13:11.about a job is on the line. Let's look.
:13:12. > :13:13.Here's the race, you were talking about the start and how disappointed
:13:14. > :13:19.you were with it. You're watching it back now. Tell me what you are
:13:20. > :13:23.thinking. When I got out, you have to transition and I don't think I
:13:24. > :13:26.got the power and the transition right. Then I started tightening up
:13:27. > :13:32.at the end, which you should never do. I knew if I didn't get the start
:13:33. > :13:35.I was going to be in trouble, you know what I mean? I knew that and
:13:36. > :13:39.that's exactly what happened. I was saying to my coach, hopefully I'll
:13:40. > :13:44.get my start and we've did a few run-through is and I felt smart, but
:13:45. > :13:48.I can't say much, I didn't execute when it matters. Was it anything to
:13:49. > :13:52.do with the blocks situation? They are not the best blocks. I'm not
:13:53. > :13:57.fully comfortable in those box, but you can't complain about what you
:13:58. > :14:02.get. You have to work at what you have. I did my best. That was a
:14:03. > :14:05.great moment as well, when he's been booed, Justin Gatlin, it's a
:14:06. > :14:08.disappointing result for the crowd for obvious reasons, but you were a
:14:09. > :14:13.great gentleman to go over and give him a hug. You yes, he's a great
:14:14. > :14:21.competitor. Justin Gatlin is always at his best, you have to be at your
:14:22. > :14:24.best and tonight I wasn't. I respect that about him, he competes to the
:14:25. > :14:27.end. I really appreciate competing with him. He's an excellent person
:14:28. > :14:31.as far as I can tell, he's always been good and the banter we have, a
:14:32. > :14:35.good person. You are great athlete but you're an even better person
:14:36. > :14:40.yourself and tanks, Usain. All right, problem.
:14:41. > :14:44.STUDIO: He likes being called a good person,
:14:45. > :14:48.he suddenly realised, I'm no longer an athlete, it's could be a good
:14:49. > :14:52.person. That's a nice accolade, I'll take that. We still there chatting
:14:53. > :14:56.to the world's press and giving his take on that race and no doubt
:14:57. > :15:01.answering the longer questions about his career and what he'll do next,
:15:02. > :15:08.and we can't wait to see what he's going to do next. I thought it was
:15:09. > :15:12.interesting he knew, he said, I knew if I didn't get my start I was going
:15:13. > :15:17.to be in trouble. He's a different athlete this year. That wouldn't
:15:18. > :15:21.have been, the previous Usain Bolt, if I got a bad start, no problem, I
:15:22. > :15:26.can overcome it. I think he knew he wasn't in great shape this year and
:15:27. > :15:32.I wonder as well whether or not now, in hindsight, whether it was a good
:15:33. > :15:36.idea, because to keep going this year, I remember when I decided to
:15:37. > :15:39.retire after 2000, it was specifically because I felt without
:15:40. > :15:45.any more motivation, no more things to do, that really get me going, I
:15:46. > :15:49.felt I'm probably not going to push it as hard in practice. I'm probably
:15:50. > :15:51.not going to be as hungry, I'm probably not going to be as
:15:52. > :15:55.aggressive as I need to be to produce the sort of performances I
:15:56. > :16:01.had been and I wonder if that was the issue. I don't get the sense who
:16:02. > :16:04.are we to say, that he regrets it, because he genuinely loves this
:16:05. > :16:06.place, doesn't it? He comes here a lot and enjoys it. There will be no
:16:07. > :16:15.regrets. When you are younger you take it for
:16:16. > :16:18.granted you breeze through training and you know you will perform well
:16:19. > :16:22.in the summer because you worked hard. When owe goat the age where
:16:23. > :16:25.you are picking up injuries you doubt yourself a bit. You rely
:16:26. > :16:31.heavily on technique and what you have been able to do, and obviously
:16:32. > :16:35.Usain has not been able to do that this year, it has put doubts in his
:16:36. > :16:38.mine. I don't think he will have regret, he will appreciate being
:16:39. > :16:42.back in the arena and on this stage performing with this incredible
:16:43. > :16:47.crowd. I can't wait for the relays. Plenty more to come before all o
:16:48. > :16:52.that, we will be back here tomorrow morning of course, 9.30. But for the
:16:53. > :16:58.next is a minutes I will take you outside into the Olympic Park where
:16:59. > :17:03.we will have more reaction. Good evening to you. Hi, we can't end
:17:04. > :17:09.this evening on a downer, Colin and Denise are with me and some of the
:17:10. > :17:16.50,000 strong crowd have made their way outside. Say hi everybody! They
:17:17. > :17:21.are all here. They are all here. They have been chanting Colin's
:17:22. > :17:29.name. Denise's name and they might have been another boo or two when it
:17:30. > :17:33.came to my name! Guys, it was a bit of an anticlimax and anyone watching
:17:34. > :17:36.that I am Bolt documentary, there was a line in there, any time that
:17:37. > :17:40.Usain Bolt doesn't win, it feels like there is part of us that is
:17:41. > :17:44.missing. Colin, he was gutted. He said it killed him he couldn't bring
:17:45. > :17:47.it together. He would have been very disappointed with that. I think he
:17:48. > :17:52.didn't perform the way he knows he can. You know, even if he is not in
:17:53. > :17:55.the best shape he didn't pull the race together that was good enough
:17:56. > :18:00.to win it. I think he will look at clock and think, I was capable of
:18:01. > :18:05.9.91 today and I should have brought it home. He will be disappointed
:18:06. > :18:08.with that. Do you know what, if we can't judge him for this one
:18:09. > :18:13.performance, this is one of the things he will adore about the fans,
:18:14. > :18:18.they applauded him on a lap of honour. He did 147 laps of honour
:18:19. > :18:22.since 2002. He was not going to go home without doing 148. Even coming
:18:23. > :18:25.with that bronze medal, he went round and the crowd appreciated it.
:18:26. > :18:29.We have to mention Justin Gatlin because she the World Champion, and
:18:30. > :18:35.you came over here and you said that is sport. And for his turn round he
:18:36. > :18:39.has had, it is redemption, the London crowd didn't receive him too
:18:40. > :18:43.well. For him it is huge. A massive moment. Has been through the mill,
:18:44. > :18:49.which ever side of the fence you are on, whether it is just for his
:18:50. > :18:53.previous actions, it is sport, and you know, watching him on the track
:18:54. > :18:58.tonight, he was crying. He really was crying. And that moved me,
:18:59. > :19:02.because I think he has worked hard. He still has to train as hard as
:19:03. > :19:06.everyone else. He still had to turn up and deliver. Justin Gatlin is the
:19:07. > :19:11.World Champion, but I think we should do the ceremony of at least
:19:12. > :19:16.putting Usain Bolt's face on one of our boards. Go ahead. It is not the
:19:17. > :19:22.one we wanted. It doesn't want to go on. He will have to for now, of
:19:23. > :19:26.course in a week's time, the man they are all cheering for could well
:19:27. > :19:30.be hitting in the gold medal position, in the four by 100 relay.
:19:31. > :19:36.Let us recap some of the other action, we spoke a lot about KJT
:19:37. > :19:40.heptathlon and a bit going into Rio 2016 wasn't a great time. Going into
:19:41. > :19:46.this one, 100-metre hurdles. Great start. Colin. I think, I was
:19:47. > :19:52.impressed in the hurdles. She set off pretty well. She does seven
:19:53. > :20:00.strides. That tells me she is working on this event to improve it.
:20:01. > :20:03.She lost her personal best. If she hadn't clattered the barrier it
:20:04. > :20:08.would have been the best she produced. To be only four hundredth
:20:09. > :20:12.off your personal best you have to be happy. It is is a great start. We
:20:13. > :20:14.have been talking about her confidence and really attacking the
:20:15. > :20:17.heptathlon this was just the start she needed.
:20:18. > :20:21.When it came to the high jump though, it was the opposite of
:20:22. > :20:25.attacking it. It was, it was a disappointing way to go out of that
:20:26. > :20:30.event. The second event of the summer. For one of the best high
:20:31. > :20:37.jumpers in the competition, someone who has the British record, this is
:20:38. > :20:41.her attempt at 1.80. Going over at 1.806789 Pretty comfortable. She
:20:42. > :20:45.moves to her first attempt. Knocks it off. You don't think there is a
:20:46. > :20:50.problem here, she is competent. She should get over second attempt.
:20:51. > :20:55.Nearly does. Clips it off with her heels, at that moment I started to
:20:56. > :21:00.panic for her. The nerves set in. She has to clear this. She knocks it
:21:01. > :21:03.down. The devastation was there for everyone to see.
:21:04. > :21:08.It is a hard way to come back from. We did see that face in Rio, didn't
:21:09. > :21:13.we. It, she is a girl when the nerves set in, when it looks like
:21:14. > :21:18.things are going against her. Some time, everybody is trying to will
:21:19. > :21:22.her on but she is not the one who wants to get to the next stage She
:21:23. > :21:27.is learning about herself and what she the do. How, I think she
:21:28. > :21:32.breathed, she was bitterly disappointed but I think know she
:21:33. > :21:36.looks at it as not individual vents but one, if you start gelling the
:21:37. > :21:39.fact I can make a mistake here but I can come back and return and perhaps
:21:40. > :21:42.put myself back into the position where I with sneak a medal she is
:21:43. > :21:50.doing the right thing. She is learning as she is going along. .
:21:51. > :21:53.She has to, she has to have that bounce back ability, when things
:21:54. > :21:59.don't go well she has to pick herself up. She did innocent the
:22:00. > :22:02.shot though. It is hard. She was probably city thinking about the
:22:03. > :22:08.high jump. She probably has almost given up. It is one of the events
:22:09. > :22:14.she does not enjoy. She still hasn't found form. She changed her
:22:15. > :22:17.technique, she goes into the 200, an event she is confident with, the
:22:18. > :22:23.fastest person in this heat. And she dominates. She ran a strong turn and
:22:24. > :22:28.it was a race against the clock. This was like a time trial for her.
:22:29. > :22:33.It is difficult when you are on your own, but she really went from gun to
:22:34. > :22:39.tape and she was rewarded with a great time here. She was happy be
:22:40. > :22:43.the end and really, sighs of leaf. Happy to finish the day on a high
:22:44. > :22:51.note. She spoke to Phil after that 200. I saw the look of determination
:22:52. > :22:55.on your face with that 200-metre, like all your angst was coming out.
:22:56. > :23:00.You put yourself in fourth and kept yourself in medal contention. That
:23:01. > :23:04.is incredible, considering the high jump didn't go well, and that is one
:23:05. > :23:08.of my banker vents, I didn't expect to be in fourth place overnight. So
:23:09. > :23:14.I am pretty happy with that. It says a lot about you and your character
:23:15. > :23:21.you are rebounding from the event, we have seen you jump 1.98. How have
:23:22. > :23:24.you rebounded? It is hard. I went back to the hotel. Had a little cry.
:23:25. > :23:30.Thought about going back to Liverpool. But if I learned anything
:23:31. > :23:35.from Rio it is a seven event, and it was only event two, and last year I
:23:36. > :23:40.give up after jumping 1.98. I won't let that happen again. You didn't
:23:41. > :23:45.and it seems a surprise you found yourself in fourth place now, and
:23:46. > :23:50.obviously you have a strong long jump strong 800 metres to come. Has
:23:51. > :23:55.that changed your perspective? Anything can happen in heptathlon,
:23:56. > :24:00.so will I make sure I don't let the high jump happen again. Long jump is
:24:01. > :24:06.one of my good events. I want to focus on that and get only points
:24:07. > :24:10.back in the bag. We wish you well for tomorrow and well down for
:24:11. > :24:16.rebounding the way you have. Topsy-turvy day but great to see she
:24:17. > :24:28.is still positive. You never know what happens, but the woman of
:24:29. > :24:31.course to beat is going to be... It is about not making mistakes. This
:24:32. > :24:35.is another event where she is supreme. We saw that clearance
:24:36. > :24:41.there. And saw what it meant to her. Delighted. I think that is the 1.95
:24:42. > :24:47.clearance and you know, since she has become Olympic champion she has
:24:48. > :24:53.got better and better more confident and trusting in herable. The shot
:24:54. > :24:59.put consolidating that. This is one of the events we saw she pulled it
:25:00. > :25:04.out. She had a ball elbow. We thought the throwing would be down.
:25:05. > :25:08.She has been able to find that magic extra that is needed. She wants to
:25:09. > :25:13.be steady. She mentioned she wants to be steady and get that one-off
:25:14. > :25:19.performance in one of the other event, one of her favourites are to
:25:20. > :25:23.come. The javelin. Yes, and not KJT's favourite event but like she
:25:24. > :25:32.said long jump. This was the standings come the end of the day.
:25:33. > :25:38.Schafer in first place and TH -- Thiam in second. There is a medal a
:25:39. > :25:43.as possibility. I didn't expect her to be so high. She ran a great 200,
:25:44. > :25:46.that will give her confidence, hopefully a good night's sleep and
:25:47. > :25:49.she is back in the game. She could well billion back in the
:25:50. > :25:57.game. Come on, you guys are lovely. Your know I love you, but we have
:25:58. > :26:01.some friends, some of the fastest people in the orb Yana region. Come
:26:02. > :26:09.on over. -- let us school scoot over. Say
:26:10. > :26:18.hello to the UK. -- Oceania. Say hello. Hi my name the Patricia. I am
:26:19. > :26:22.from the cook I land but I live in Australia. A PB and a national
:26:23. > :26:29.record. Congratulations. An incredible feat. What is your name.
:26:30. > :26:36.I am from the Northern Ireland and I run the 100-metre. Did you get a PB?
:26:37. > :26:49.Yes. All the PBs today. What about you? My PB, I have just got my
:26:50. > :26:59.season best. It is great to have you with us. I am from Tuvalu. I run the
:27:00. > :27:04.200 metres and my season best. A season's best. Was it the best in
:27:05. > :27:12.the country as well? Yes. Of course it was. We only get the best in this
:27:13. > :27:16.region for you. I know it is chilly and you have been staying up to have
:27:17. > :27:23.a quick chat. Thank you all of you for coming down and talking to us.
:27:24. > :27:28.Our sprinters from the orb Yana region. We have chance for KJT to be
:27:29. > :27:32.on one of the boards. She has to fight. She has nothing to lose at
:27:33. > :27:36.this stage and everything to gainful I think a medal for her would be
:27:37. > :27:43.fantastic, but she has got to nail that long jump. Solid javelin and
:27:44. > :27:47.run her heart out in the eighth. Cop Colin, ghees, thank you, one last
:27:48. > :27:53.wave from our friends down there, if you don't mind. And a Jamaican fan
:27:54. > :27:57.or two. It may not have been Usain Bolt's night. Justin Gatlin is the
:27:58. > :28:01.World Champion but there is only one hero of athletics, he is the one,
:28:02. > :28:04.the only Usain Bolt. Let us all do the Bolt to finish. There you go.
:28:05. > :28:30.See you tomorrow. Good night. One last time.
:28:31. > :28:33.It's Gatlin. Right at the death. This is sport. There are no
:28:34. > :28:37.guarantees. There # Everybody dance... #
:28:38. > :28:40.Whoa! # Clap your hands,
:28:41. > :28:43.clap your hands... #
