:00:46. > :00:52.the world. This is our second highlights programme from the Ulster

:00:53. > :00:56.Grand Prix. We have another hour of rest taking motor cycling action.

:00:57. > :01:01.You have got the best seat in the house. Set back and enjoy some

:01:02. > :01:05.really special, really fast and really close road racing. He was

:01:06. > :01:25.what's happened so far. The weather has got the better of

:01:26. > :01:31.everyone. He has put on his tinted visor. Here they go.

:01:32. > :01:39.That is one of the finest sites of any motorsport.

:01:40. > :01:54.Bruce Anstey is not close enough. They crossed the line side-by-side.

:01:55. > :02:04.The one that? 1000 of a second. It was a close old race! Away they go!

:02:05. > :02:25.We all get ready to go again. The second chance but Lee Johnston.

:02:26. > :02:34.The machine of William Dunlop has just exploded underneath him. It is

:02:35. > :02:38.going to be a battle all the way to the end. Nearest the camera,

:02:39. > :03:00.streaking into the lead. A massive lead, but there is a

:03:01. > :03:07.proper scrap. Some thrilling racing so far. The racers or following in

:03:08. > :03:12.the footsteps of many of the greatest ever seen. Some of the best

:03:13. > :03:16.motor cyclists in the world have competed here down through the

:03:17. > :03:23.years. This is a unique event steeped in history and heritage. We

:03:24. > :03:30.have had all of the famous riders here down through the years. Joey

:03:31. > :03:39.Dunlop. I can go on and on. Right through our own Philip McCallan, the

:03:40. > :03:50.Dunlop rubber is. -- the Dunlop brothers. It has not been easy. We

:03:51. > :03:56.had a complete wash-out in 2008. It almost brought the competition to

:03:57. > :04:01.its knees. It is unbelievable. We have over 40 newcomers this year. 15

:04:02. > :04:07.countries represented. An international event. Massive crowds.

:04:08. > :04:11.Absolutely, people coming from all over the world, Canada, America and

:04:12. > :04:13.all over Europe. I have been in Dundrod

:04:14. > :04:23.all over Europe. I have been in over 25 years. -- Dundrod and

:04:24. > :04:31.District Motorcycle Club. 52 weeks every year. Maybe we get a week off

:04:32. > :04:39.all stop but the work starts again. We are all volunteers. Up to

:04:40. > :04:46.probably 100 people. What kind of things has the club done this year?

:04:47. > :04:52.We have the Joey Dunlop grandstand. That was sold out before the event.

:04:53. > :04:58.We have a number of seeded grandstands around the event and we

:04:59. > :05:04.have added an extra TV screen. What other things would you like to do

:05:05. > :05:08.around the circuit to improve it? Safety is my priority and Paramount

:05:09. > :05:15.at all times. Anything that we can do at all to make it safer, we will

:05:16. > :05:22.do it. The circuit itself, as far as road racing is concerned, is second

:05:23. > :05:27.to none. But the campsites, things like that we seem to be struggling

:05:28. > :05:32.with. It is the dream of every rider to ride around here. No writer has

:05:33. > :05:35.ever come and said he does not want to go back. One of the most

:05:36. > :05:40.successful riders in this event is Philip McCallan. You one around the

:05:41. > :05:46.circuit board team times. It is great to see this race back where it

:05:47. > :05:50.belongs. It certainly is. It is one of the top road races in the world.

:05:51. > :05:55.The current generation of riders are giving us what we want. Thank you.

:05:56. > :06:00.This is the race they all want to win. The feature event. The Ulster

:06:01. > :06:06.Grand Prix. Here are some of the main contenders. Seven times a

:06:07. > :06:15.winner. William Dunlop is at his peak. One victory behind him. That

:06:16. > :06:21.will not sit well with brother Michael Dunlop. Lee Johnston has hit

:06:22. > :06:35.form this year and he could be a winner in any race. Peter Hickman is

:06:36. > :06:44.the fastest newcomer. Guy Martin loves this Grand Prix and has 11

:06:45. > :06:50.wins to prove it. Bruce Anstey has won this event a times already and

:06:51. > :06:55.could make it nine. Here is the great coming up. Bruce Anstey is

:06:56. > :07:02.simple position and ideally situated. Guy Martin is right behind

:07:03. > :07:13.him and looking over his shoulder. -- is in pole position. A little

:07:14. > :07:19.upset earlier Ron but there are six riders here who could win this race.

:07:20. > :07:28.-- earlier Ron. Conditions are dry. You can see the gaps in the grid.

:07:29. > :07:37.William Dunlop is a nonstarter. Peter Hickman in that orange jacket

:07:38. > :07:40.inroad to. Get ready to start. The Ulster Grand Prix, the big feature

:07:41. > :07:46.race of the day. Peter Hickman looking down and start -- checking

:07:47. > :07:53.something. But we are ready. Who will get away first? Guy Martin.

:07:54. > :07:58.Look at the job he has done. We will see some slipstream already. Bruce

:07:59. > :08:09.Anstey goes up the inside. The Johnson is also looking menacing. A

:08:10. > :08:10.cracking start for Ian Hutchinson. For those going down The Flying

:08:11. > :08:20.Kilo. Guy Martin and Bruce For those going down The Flying

:08:21. > :08:30.and Lee Johnston behind. Ian Hutchinson will be loving this.

:08:31. > :08:41.Bruce Anstey providing the pictures. Michael Dunlop, look at him go.

:08:42. > :08:50.Bruce Anstey bashing up Guy Martin. Dropping down to Deer's Leap. There

:08:51. > :08:56.is lots of movement going on further behind. This is a replay of what

:08:57. > :09:02.happened on Thursday night. It was all about Guy Martin and Bruce

:09:03. > :09:07.Anstey. Afterwards Bruce said it was just a rehearsal. Waiting for

:09:08. > :09:17.Michael Dunlop. Not a great start from him. Nice and dry. A right

:09:18. > :09:31.turn. Write out to the edge, Bruce Anstey. What a surprise Peter

:09:32. > :09:37.Hickman has been this year. All colours under his leathers. Huge

:09:38. > :09:50.cuts on his arms. Here we go. Guy Martin, Bruce Anstey at the Ulster

:09:51. > :09:54.Grand Prix. He does not want any of that cut and thrust, he wants it all

:09:55. > :10:04.sorted and settled. We'll Bruce let him have it? Still damp under the

:10:05. > :10:12.trees. Bruce Anstey might be a little bit damp after that. Guy

:10:13. > :10:15.Martin, if he turns around now, he will see a different coloured crash

:10:16. > :10:20.helmet coming towards him. Lee Johnston. Bruce Anstey has dropped

:10:21. > :10:31.off the pace a little bit. These three breaking away. The Tyco Suzuki

:10:32. > :10:37.Superbike is very fast. Guy Martin seems to love this track. Lee

:10:38. > :10:45.Johnston as well. They will not block the much it Lee sticks it up

:10:46. > :10:54.the inside of that hairpin. Always rises to the occasion. This is his

:10:55. > :10:57.meeting. You can count on Guy Martin standing on the top of a podium.

:10:58. > :11:17.This is the race that everyone wants. Patterns are being passed by

:11:18. > :11:29.Peter Hickman. -- Lee Hutchinson. Guy Martin, Lee Johnston. They are

:11:30. > :11:36.going over at the start finish line. As they go over the finish line, he

:11:37. > :11:44.has set himself up for the -- be flying kilo. Bruce Anstey might

:11:45. > :11:50.emerge at the head of this -- The Flying Kilo. He was thinking about

:11:51. > :11:58.the other one. Just a little bit too late. He is up to second place, put

:11:59. > :12:02.Lee Johnston back to third. Tracking Guy Martin as they head towards

:12:03. > :12:09.Leathemstown. Heading up to the big corner, it is Deer's Leap. Flat on

:12:10. > :12:14.your side at 180 mph, if you're not utterly committed when you get

:12:15. > :12:18.there, it will go wrong. Michael Dunlop is not on the pace of the

:12:19. > :12:24.front three. I do not know what the issues are. He will not be happy in

:12:25. > :12:32.fourth place. Peter Hickman will be delighted. At the speed traps, it

:12:33. > :12:47.was William who was fastest and he was knocking off 190 mph lapse back

:12:48. > :12:53.to back. -- lapse. -- laps. It proves what you were saying about

:12:54. > :12:58.the speed of the Tyco Suzuki. Bruce Anstey is looking fast around the

:12:59. > :13:05.corners. Runs out widely, Johnston is looking for an opportunity. Lee

:13:06. > :13:10.Johnston is doing well. He is going in pursuit of the number one

:13:11. > :13:13.position. He really wants this big bike win. He has done it on the

:13:14. > :13:23.little ones, he wants to do it on the big ones. He is in the

:13:24. > :13:37.slipstream, heading up the hell, he needs to be closer. Bruce is close

:13:38. > :13:44.-- hell. -- hill. I wobble from Guy Martin. Those white lines are tricky

:13:45. > :13:55.when it is dry -- a wobble. It has stayed wet. It is Wheeler's Corner.

:13:56. > :14:04.They start to drop back down. It is a 3-way fight. Dunlop is behind. He

:14:05. > :14:12.might be closing in, Michael Dunlop. Lee Johnston hanging his foot off

:14:13. > :14:18.the pedal. You would want to get off at Tornagrough, it is that kind of

:14:19. > :14:30.corner. Lee Johnston, plenty of movement in that back wheel. One

:14:31. > :14:35.chance between here and the start finish line. You're hoping to set

:14:36. > :14:44.yourself up for a tie. Bruce needs to be close. Lee Johnston, the Joker

:14:45. > :14:49.in the pack, Guy Martin knows what it takes to win and so does Bruce on

:14:50. > :14:58.that Apple Bruce Anstey. Lee Johnston isn't yet to taste that. --

:14:59. > :15:04.Bruce Anstey. He has another marker. Michael Dunlop and the BMW has been

:15:05. > :15:11.beyond the pace. The lap times are good. Bruce Anstey is going. He is

:15:12. > :15:21.back in second. Here's the one watch. These are not 600s, boys

:15:22. > :15:39.act-macro, an! That was all to play for. --!. Michael Dunlop's bike was

:15:40. > :15:42.on pace for a lap. There is up -- that gap opening up and then it

:15:43. > :15:50.closes and squeezes out Bruce Anstey. This is their first time. He

:15:51. > :15:56.has never raced here before. He is fourth, and on the pace. He is

:15:57. > :16:00.looking dangerous as Michael Dunlop always does. He cannot ride his way

:16:01. > :16:02.out of whatever the situation is. They are trying to think of

:16:03. > :16:08.out of whatever the situation is. make the bike do what he wants. They

:16:09. > :16:12.have people from Germany, addressing the problem, when they find the key

:16:13. > :16:18.and unlock it, that will be at. At the moment, it works well on long

:16:19. > :16:27.circuits, but here, he has to work at it -- that will be it. Great

:16:28. > :16:30.battle further back. It is not just these three providing all the

:16:31. > :16:39.entertainment. Bruce Anstey is challenging Guy Martin. We look back

:16:40. > :16:45.from the BMW and Peter Hickman. There is the external view. Steve

:16:46. > :16:53.Mercer is looking for a way past. Have we got a two way fight? They

:16:54. > :17:01.are heading out towards Ireland's Corner. Look at Michael Dunlop

:17:02. > :17:07.heading -- hanging off the bike. Do not look over your shoulder, here

:17:08. > :17:14.comes Michael Dunlop! Lee Johnston is gaining. There is Ian Hutchinson.

:17:15. > :17:23.Nice to see him back at the Ulster Grand Prix. He has not had much luck

:17:24. > :17:28.on the injury front. Bruce Anstey is closing in on Guy Martin taking Lee

:17:29. > :17:40.Johnston with them. Lee Johnston has closed the gap. He has found a drive

:17:41. > :17:47.up the hell. It is wet! -- hill. That was almost a bailing out

:17:48. > :17:57.moment. Here we go again, this is unbelievable. Watch for the movement

:17:58. > :18:03.in the bike. That unsettled him. -- unsettles. Did not like watching

:18:04. > :18:06.that. It made me feel uncomfortable. Goodness knows what it made Lee

:18:07. > :18:17.Johnston feline. It made him feel about -- made him feel like trying

:18:18. > :18:24.for the full past -- pass. Dunlop is trying to gain positions. They are

:18:25. > :18:28.moving into Lindsay Hairpin. They will have to start thinking about

:18:29. > :18:33.their plans, what they are planning to do as the chequered flag

:18:34. > :18:40.approaches. Seven laps in total, half race still to go. It will be

:18:41. > :18:47.working out who is good where, who is quick where. Lee Johnston will

:18:48. > :18:51.not get through. They are watching each other and seeing where the

:18:52. > :19:02.bikes and tyres work best and where it is easy to cover. Guy Martin is

:19:03. > :19:08.riding as hard as the other two. You get a glimpse of wobble here and

:19:09. > :19:14.there. Guy Martin did a television series and had to get superfit. That

:19:15. > :19:19.has really helped his racing. Lee Johnston had a look on Bruce Anstey.

:19:20. > :19:26.Nothing is going to happen, perhaps a move at Leathemstown. A great duel

:19:27. > :19:35.between Steve Mercer and Derek McGee. The sheer speed of the BMW, I

:19:36. > :19:41.am sure that helps. Here comes the sheer speed of Michael Dunlop on his

:19:42. > :19:46.BMW and it is a fight between the gang of four, making their way up by

:19:47. > :19:54.Leathemstown. Go on Michael, get in their! He is not that far behind up

:19:55. > :20:01.the hill, it is still three on one. It is cranked so far over. You can

:20:02. > :20:06.tell by his body language, Michael Dunlop is doing everything he can to

:20:07. > :20:12.get that bike amongst these three. He was super quick out of Deer's

:20:13. > :20:25.Leap. Here is Bruce Anstey on Guy Martin. Just tracking along, heading

:20:26. > :20:33.towards that slow right-hander. Coming through Quarterlands, it is

:20:34. > :20:38.Ireland's Corner next. Michael Dunlop is right off, all his weight

:20:39. > :20:44.on the BMW. It is not doing him any good, he needs to be smoother than

:20:45. > :20:50.that. He is a desperate man, you know at times, that is Michael. If

:20:51. > :20:59.he is not winning, the world has come to an end. He is trying

:21:00. > :21:03.everything he can to get up there. This is working, but he needs so

:21:04. > :21:12.much confidence and a stable motorcycle. This is a Grand Prix

:21:13. > :21:17.circuit in the hills above Belfast. You need to be absolutely sure about

:21:18. > :21:22.your motorbike. How are this lot going? Just as good as the battle in

:21:23. > :21:26.front, Steve Mercer and Derek McGee still behind Peter Hickman. What a

:21:27. > :21:35.talent Peter Hickman -- Peter Hickman is for the future. What a

:21:36. > :21:41.talent at the front. Four riders who are all capable of winning and all

:21:42. > :21:46.more or less in range of winning. If the leading trio have any problems,

:21:47. > :21:51.Michael Dunlop will be there. Did he get that wrong? I thought he was a

:21:52. > :21:56.bit too wide. No, he got it absolutely perfect. He is looking to

:21:57. > :22:00.see what is going on behind him. That must be a bit daunting when you

:22:01. > :22:06.look around and there is the same bike right behind you, as close as

:22:07. > :22:11.it ever was. It is starting to rain. That would be a spanner in the

:22:12. > :22:16.works. Lee Johnston is still behind at the two guys in front, Guy Martin

:22:17. > :22:22.doing all the legwork. Lee Johnston will not get past Bruce Anstey. Lee

:22:23. > :22:31.Johnston wanted the success on the big bikes. He is having had good

:22:32. > :22:45.tries. He has suddenly arrived -- having a good tries. The crowd are

:22:46. > :22:52.urging their man on -- try. Here comes Bruce Anstey. That was brave

:22:53. > :23:07.staff. Bruce has had enough following now -- staff. -- stuff.

:23:08. > :23:13.Excellent work from Lee Johnston. It would be nice to see Lee Johnston on

:23:14. > :23:18.the top step. This is the BMW working for Michael Dunlop, he needs

:23:19. > :23:23.to get as close as he can. Fairy tales do not always happen in by

:23:24. > :23:27.grazing, especially not road racing, but Michael Dunlop is within

:23:28. > :23:32.striking distance of a podium place. He is closer than he has been, it

:23:33. > :23:40.depends if he can then tame that as they go through Ireland's Corner and

:23:41. > :23:48.Wheeler's Corner. -- maintain out. -- that. This is still a four way

:23:49. > :23:55.fight. There are four of them in it and Michael Dunlop is close enough.

:23:56. > :24:02.If I was Lee Johnston, I would be starting to worry. Michael Dunlop

:24:03. > :24:13.has it up and working now. The track has tried out a bit. I think he is

:24:14. > :24:22.able to ride it -- dried out. It seems to be working for him.

:24:23. > :24:29.able to ride it -- dried out. It close enough? He could be. With the

:24:30. > :24:30.rain on the windscreens, it is hard to tell. It

:24:31. > :24:35.rain on the windscreens, it is hard harder and faster on a motorbike

:24:36. > :24:44.than it really is, because you are getting it in your face at such a

:24:45. > :24:53.speed. We saw it on Lindsay Hairpin, how bad this is. This is getting

:24:54. > :25:03.serious. A big wheelie from Guy Martin. He has the Tyco Suzuki on

:25:04. > :25:07.fire. He has lost four are five metres on the way up the hill. Lee

:25:08. > :25:16.Johnston is still pressing Bruce Anstey. Guy Martin got that right

:25:17. > :25:21.last time, not making any mistakes this time. That will cost Lee

:25:22. > :25:27.Johnston. That was lovely from Bruce Anstey coming into Lindsay Hairpin.

:25:28. > :25:34.Lee Johnston will have dropped off the back of this. His momentum has

:25:35. > :25:42.been caught. That will slow him. Here comes Michael. Here comes Bruce

:25:43. > :25:47.Anstey, the fastest man around the Ulster Grand Prix circuit. That

:25:48. > :25:53.record is still standing from 2010. The fastest man at the Isle of Man.

:25:54. > :26:01.So smooth, Bruce, when you watch him race. Coming out of the slipstream,

:26:02. > :26:06.is he ready for a rundown towards Leathemstown? This is a hard place

:26:07. > :26:14.to pass. Not this time, he had to hold off. Lee Johnston is still

:26:15. > :26:21.there. Where is Michael Dunlop? We will find out when they get down to

:26:22. > :26:25.Leathemstown. Guy Martin will not be pleased if he should leave this race

:26:26. > :26:34.for as long as he had and not end up on the top step. Bruce Anstey is

:26:35. > :26:38.right up behind him. Bruce is fed up with waiting. This is definitely his

:26:39. > :26:44.moment, out of the slipstream, what him pass on the right-hand side. Guy

:26:45. > :26:51.Martin will not let him. Lee Johnston is joining back in again.

:26:52. > :27:07.Three riders with Michael Dunlop. He has said goodbye to our podium

:27:08. > :27:09.finish. This is Ian Hutchinson. The battle at the front is still as

:27:10. > :27:33.tight as it was. Anstey was 25 we would be going this

:27:34. > :27:37.is fantastic. He is showing there is plenty of life in the old dog yet!

:27:38. > :27:45.Guy Martin might be having a little look up the inside. Lee Johnston

:27:46. > :27:54.also has plenty of momentum. He is hanging on the coat-tails of Bruce

:27:55. > :28:05.Anstey. Side-by-side. Such commit and at such speed on such a track.

:28:06. > :28:12.-- such commitment. Up into second place. I think Bruce Anstey followed

:28:13. > :28:22.the line of Lee Johnston. Guy Johnston -- Guy Martin is the one

:28:23. > :28:28.that is benefiting. Into the hairpin. Bruce Anstey is close

:28:29. > :28:37.enough. We have seen so many mistakes here in the past. So many

:28:38. > :28:41.races won and lost at this hairpin. Michael Dunlop is desperately trying

:28:42. > :28:50.everything he can in fourth place to get amongst the guys in front. Ivan

:28:51. > :28:51.Lintin. He is closing, closing. He could be about to go past Ian

:28:52. > :29:09.Hutchinson, but not this time. Time is running out at the Ulster

:29:10. > :29:18.Grand Prix to decide a winner. Three candidates, possibly number four.

:29:19. > :29:26.Lee Johnston needs to catch Guy Martin. Traffic in front of Guy

:29:27. > :29:35.Martin and this could change everything. He is coming up on a

:29:36. > :29:40.slow rider. No problems going past. A problem for Lee Johnston. I think

:29:41. > :29:46.he has got to hold off. That has cost him. Look how close Bruce

:29:47. > :29:52.Anstey is now. He certainly lost his momentum. His line was taken from

:29:53. > :30:02.him momentarily but he is back into third place. Steve Mercer. What a

:30:03. > :30:06.shame! He was going so well. He put so much effort into this weekend.

:30:07. > :30:12.That is a disappointment for him and his team. But this is not

:30:13. > :30:19.disappointing for any of us. It is wonderful. Guy Martin, do not look

:30:20. > :30:24.around! He will not have time to look around. He needs to keep his

:30:25. > :30:29.eye on what is happening. Seven laps of the Ulster Grand Prix. This is

:30:30. > :30:36.the big one of the weekend and it is the one that everyone wants. They go

:30:37. > :30:45.down to Ireland's Corner. Guy Martin still looking smooth. Bruce Anstey

:30:46. > :30:50.is super-smooth. Look at that! Lee Johnston is trying and a bit more.

:30:51. > :30:57.He has been watching Michael Dunlop! He could not take that any further.

:30:58. > :31:06.Lee Johnston slides out, he glides out. He tucks it back in in time. He

:31:07. > :31:20.was so lucky. That was very close to the hedge. Stay on the track! Bruce

:31:21. > :31:26.Anstey tucked in behind Guy Martin. Plenty of movement. Bruce Anstey is

:31:27. > :31:37.crowding Guy Martin now. More traffic to deal with. All! That was

:31:38. > :31:47.so close! He had to think about that. He will do well to get past

:31:48. > :31:53.that Tyco Suzuki. He has done it! That was tremendous. There are some

:31:54. > :31:58.places on this course for overtaking is difficult. It was really hard

:31:59. > :32:04.there. He was not expecting it. Neither was the crowd. Guy Martin is

:32:05. > :32:12.very popular but when you see a move from Bruce Anstey like that... It is

:32:13. > :32:15.not used, it is experience. Can Guy Martin close the gap? I think we

:32:16. > :32:22.have seen a race winning move from Bruce Anstey. Bruce Anstey is going

:32:23. > :32:28.to win again. Coming down the hill. There is only one chance here on the

:32:29. > :32:33.last lap. You say that. He has to slow down. You can climb into the

:32:34. > :32:40.corner but you have to slow down. Bruce Anstey... And Guy

:32:41. > :32:44.corner but you have to slow down. but he was not close enough. Lee

:32:45. > :32:54.Johnston gets third place. He will be pleased. Michael Dunlop comes in

:32:55. > :33:00.a fighting for. Michael Dunlop seven seconds off the top spot. Peter

:33:01. > :33:07.Hickman, what a performance from him. Bruce Anstey, congratulations.

:33:08. > :33:11.You getting better with age? I think so. I really

:33:12. > :33:24.You getting better with age? I think changed a few things. It was a

:33:25. > :33:30.really good race. I tucked inside, I tried to hold on. Guy Martin, a

:33:31. > :33:41.great race. You and tried to hold on. Guy Martin, a

:33:42. > :33:48.went head-to-head. He is wonderful. Absolutely great to race with. I am

:33:49. > :33:55.gutted that I finished second! But it is good to be part of it.

:33:56. > :34:05.gutted that I finished second! But you could not have given that any

:34:06. > :34:15.more effort. I picked a safe bet. The last lap, I had nothing left to

:34:16. > :34:19.give. The next race is for the Supersport machines. You should we

:34:20. > :34:24.be looking not for? It will be a tough decision. Bruce Anstey is a

:34:25. > :34:36.double winner so far. Guy Martin is in the frame as well so far. Let's

:34:37. > :34:40.not forget Lee Johnston. He has had two podium finishes so far and he

:34:41. > :34:45.wants that win. He would be very popular. Time to join our

:34:46. > :34:49.commentators. What a grid we have on the second

:34:50. > :35:01.time of asking. Lee Johnston, William Dunlop. Bruce Anstey, it Guy

:35:02. > :35:11.Martin. Ivan Lintin. Michael Sweeney. Any one of those could be a

:35:12. > :35:19.winner today. We get ready for the start. Watch the lights. He will get

:35:20. > :35:37.the best start? It looks like it is Lee Johnston. Bruce Anstey is coming

:35:38. > :35:48.through. They are just flying past! Still managing to hold on. We look

:35:49. > :35:54.back from the bike of Lee Johnston. A gap on the third row of the grid.

:35:55. > :36:02.William Dunlop from Bruce Anstey. Guy Martin. Lee Johnston. Pick any

:36:03. > :36:16.one of your usual suspects as we head up the hill. Elbow to elbow at

:36:17. > :36:24.this point. Bruce Anstey is down! He has gone down quite hard. Instant

:36:25. > :36:29.replay. A great solution from the marshals. Ian Hutchinson is down as

:36:30. > :36:36.well. They could not sort themselves out. Ian Hutchinson cannot leave

:36:37. > :36:48.that. He did everything to avoid the accident of Bruce Anstey. Red flag,

:36:49. > :36:52.instantly. Lee Johnston expressing what everyone thought about that. I

:36:53. > :37:02.think everyone got up and walked away. It is the bike that did the

:37:03. > :37:08.damage. Derek McKay does not want to get involved with Bruce Anstey. The

:37:09. > :37:19.bike just comes back in and then it skids. Does Steve Mercer Get

:37:20. > :37:39.Involved? There is debris everywhere. Hutchinson helping out.

:37:40. > :37:45.That is a blocked track. Because of the long delay dealing with bad

:37:46. > :37:51.accident, the second Supersport race will not be run. There is a record

:37:52. > :37:56.number of newcomers among them a rising young star. Glenn Urban is

:37:57. > :38:00.having a tremendous season on the short circuit. He decided to

:38:01. > :38:11.continue a family tradition and try out road racing. We followed him on

:38:12. > :38:21.his debut. -- Glenn Erwin. I always wanted to have a go at it. My father

:38:22. > :38:26.was a road racer. He has a number of records. He has a lot of history and

:38:27. > :38:32.a lot of people know him. If you are going to go and do a race, you must

:38:33. > :38:37.have good backing. It is brilliant. How are you feeling about being here

:38:38. > :38:43.and competing in your first road race? I was furry nervous yesterday

:38:44. > :38:51.before the first session. I have not felt that nervous in a long time. I

:38:52. > :38:56.never thought I would qualify in a good position today. Do you think

:38:57. > :39:01.you have taken to road racing a lot quicker than you thought? Yes,

:39:02. > :39:08.definitely. But when I think about it, it is to have wheels, it is a

:39:09. > :39:12.track. You do not want to crash. You will get in trouble with your team.

:39:13. > :39:19.I need to be a little bit more reserved. What are your ambitions

:39:20. > :39:26.this week? If you asked me yesterday, I would say top ten. But

:39:27. > :39:30.every racer races to win. If you get on that great thinking you want to

:39:31. > :39:38.be in sixth or seventh, then think on. It is a beautiful sunny evening.

:39:39. > :39:45.The super Twins get under way. Lee Johnston in the pink helmet. Getting

:39:46. > :39:59.swamped by the grid. Glenn Erwin getting off to a reasonable start.

:40:00. > :40:04.Dan The Flying Kilo. -- going down. He seemed to get swallowed up. Here

:40:05. > :40:10.comes Lee Johnston. Perfect conditions. Over the hill at

:40:11. > :40:17.Jordan's Cross. Lee Johnston very much the man of the moment. This

:40:18. > :40:25.could turn out to be his race. Into the Lindsay Hairpin. It is Lee

:40:26. > :40:48.Johnston. A little bit twitchy. He is twitching away. Into the dirt! No

:40:49. > :40:57.catching Lee Johnston. Into the Lindsay Hairpin. A fast approach. He

:40:58. > :41:12.knows how to ride a motorbike. But he has to catch the man in front.

:41:13. > :41:18.Johnston wins it and the rest of them are side-by-side. It was a race

:41:19. > :41:25.of two halves. I thought I did enough in the last lap. I made a

:41:26. > :41:28.mistake. I gave to many in the end. They had all passed me before I even

:41:29. > :41:31.came out of They had all passed me before I even

:41:32. > :41:36.experience. It bodes well for They had all passed me before I even

:41:37. > :41:43.Saturday. I know that I am strong, I know that I am weak. Let's see how

:41:44. > :41:48.he gets on in this next race. I am sure he will have learned plenty as

:41:49. > :41:51.he tries to get his first podium at the Ulster Grand Prix. The race will

:41:52. > :41:59.he tries to get his first podium at be run in very difficult conditions.

:42:00. > :42:05.It is raining heavily. it is completely different to the way it

:42:06. > :42:08.was on thursday. this is the least of glenn erwin's problems. he is

:42:09. > :42:31.leaving the line without starting the race -- glenn erwin. -- glenn

:42:32. > :42:48.erwin. what a grade we have got. -- what a grade. That did look good.

:42:49. > :42:56.Was that John Walsh? It is Ivan Lintin. It is getting a bit murky.

:42:57. > :43:03.They're heading towards Leathemstown. He has been swallowed

:43:04. > :43:09.up by the rest of the pack. An itchy trigger finger at the start, did not

:43:10. > :43:15.get away so cleanly. We are looking at the man ahead with James Cowton,

:43:16. > :43:22.he had a couple of wins on Thursday. He is a rising star. Out in front,

:43:23. > :43:30.Ivan Lintin. He is such a versatile rider. This is his class. He is

:43:31. > :43:54.bombing away at the front. Connor Behan him, he is there. He is not

:43:55. > :43:59.happy. He is coming under pressure, he has not got away with that. It is

:44:00. > :44:05.wet through here. That was a little bit of dust on that 600 tumble.

:44:06. > :44:18.Nothing serious. I was getting concerned about the rain. We are

:44:19. > :44:21.back on board with James Cowton. Here is the man still dominating the

:44:22. > :44:33.pays, Ivan Lintin, he will take some catching. -- pace. He has quite a

:44:34. > :44:38.lead. That is a great lead. He has just torn off. We saw him win here

:44:39. > :44:49.last year. How delighted was he then? Certainly further back,

:44:50. > :44:54.Sweeney, Connor Behan, battling it out. Connor Behan showed up on top

:44:55. > :45:10.form at the North and then had a little tumble which spoiled him --

:45:11. > :45:18.North West. That was rather close. He tucks in behind Connor Behan.

:45:19. > :45:24.Connor Behan gets on the power. They are quick, but not as quick as the

:45:25. > :45:29.Supersport. 140 mph through the speed trap. Nice bikes to ride, but

:45:30. > :45:34.not a handful as James Cowton tries to find way past Connor Behan and I

:45:35. > :45:45.think he done it. Connor Behan has the left-hand side, but he was not

:45:46. > :45:52.giving that up. Lindsay Hairpin. Look at the gap. Ivan Lintin,

:45:53. > :46:04.goodbye everyone else, I am off! It is not nice here. Are we looking at

:46:05. > :46:10.the first, second and third as they stand? Ivan Lintin, Derek McGee

:46:11. > :46:14.behind him. A battle developing about third place, these two seem to

:46:15. > :46:25.be coming forward is a bit. It is still wet here. Dash-macro/

:46:26. > :46:54.dash-macro/ it could be Christian Elkin. That

:46:55. > :47:29.was a good start from him. Such a bizarre start. Too late for anyone

:47:30. > :47:36.to catch the man at the front. Ivan Lintin is so good off the line. At

:47:37. > :47:41.the North West he almost forgot he was in the lead. He needs to keep

:47:42. > :47:47.his head down. I do not think you will do that again. It is a murky

:47:48. > :47:53.afternoon here in Ulster and the clouds are closing in and the rain

:47:54. > :48:07.is closing them. No one is closing in on Ivan Lintin. You get this

:48:08. > :48:15.corner right and it is lovely to see. Ivan Lintin does not need to

:48:16. > :48:24.hurry. There he goes, McGee is a second place, Christian Elkin is in

:48:25. > :48:31.third place. It is a struggle to know where to look or who to look

:48:32. > :48:39.out for. This lead of Ivan Lintin's is so huge and James Cowton seems to

:48:40. > :48:46.be taking the fight for words. Those early pioneers of super twin

:48:47. > :48:51.racing, then along came Ryan Farquhar, they were not happy when

:48:52. > :49:17.he got involved, because he was a quality racers. -- supertiwn. Jim

:49:18. > :49:22.Smith has designs on the podium. Christian Elkin, we have seen him

:49:23. > :49:48.have some great battles -- James Cowton. Christian Elkin still a two

:49:49. > :49:53.stroke Staller earlier in the race. Once you have the bug, you do not be

:49:54. > :50:00.able to seem to get rid of it. This is so accessible. It is tightening

:50:01. > :50:06.up. It is no longer the cheap and quick fixed that it was when Ryan

:50:07. > :50:11.Farquhar first envisioned it. As soon the big-name teams started

:50:12. > :50:29.playing this feels, the cost of entering goes up. -- Fielden. It is

:50:30. > :50:50.still Ivan Lintin at Leathemstown. -- field. Can he catch McGee? Ian

:50:51. > :51:04.Morrell, another of the Reagan here in Northern Ireland. -- regulars.

:51:05. > :51:17.140 mph. That is so fast, because the Superbikes, super stocks and

:51:18. > :51:28.super sports, it makes it look slow -- superstocks. -- supersports.

:51:29. > :51:34.Riding hard is the attraction. -- superstocks. -- supersports.

:51:35. > :51:39.performance was hampered by its comparative lack of power. You need

:51:40. > :51:41.to ride it as hard as you know how. Great way to expand your skills and

:51:42. > :51:47.to ride it as hard as you know how. a great way to see top riders

:51:48. > :51:56.battling it out each other. It is all about control. We are back with

:51:57. > :52:01.Ivan Lintin. Derek McGee in second place, it looks as though he may

:52:02. > :52:05.have broken Christian Elkin and James Cowton. Derek McGee is a

:52:06. > :52:11.regular here. It would be great to see him on the podium. Ivan Lintin

:52:12. > :52:22.knows it is up to him. There is no one behind him. Christian Elkin is

:52:23. > :52:29.now dropping off the pace of James Cowton. Derek McGee looks as if he

:52:30. > :52:36.is still edging ever so quickly, further ahead of James Cowton. Looks

:52:37. > :52:41.further ahead than he is. Here they come in and Christian Elkin is still

:52:42. > :52:52.there. He has lost momentum and that will cost him. He lost the speed

:52:53. > :52:59.around the turn. He is right on the power, finding his way past Timothy.

:53:00. > :53:14.Paul shoesmith goes past the Frenchman. -- Shoesmith. I do not

:53:15. > :53:21.think anyone will change this now. Christian Elkin, there is too much

:53:22. > :53:36.to do for him to make up that gap. James Cowton, we are looking at Ivan

:53:37. > :53:44.Lintin, and Derek McGee. It looks like being another victory for Ivan

:53:45. > :54:01.Lintin at Don dropped. Just flows through Leathemstown -- Don dropped.

:54:02. > :54:05.-- Dundrod. He will not be as pumped as this man. There is nothing quite

:54:06. > :54:12.like winning races to get you in the mood for the next green light. Not

:54:13. > :54:20.even bothering to turn around. He knows the gap. He is out into the

:54:21. > :54:27.realms of the teams. He will win this by about 13 seconds at least as

:54:28. > :54:31.long as nothing changes. He has not put a foot wrong. James Cowton is

:54:32. > :54:37.third, Christian Elkin should be arriving in the picture in fourth

:54:38. > :54:42.position any minute now. Some are in the middle of that, we have seemed

:54:43. > :54:50.Derek McGee. Ivan Lintin would not see him if he turned around now. He

:54:51. > :54:54.was through Ireland's Corner before the number to bike comes around.

:54:55. > :55:00.That was Christian Elkin disappearing up the hill. This is

:55:01. > :55:05.James Cowton. Quarterlands, it does not sound too clever. It sounds

:55:06. > :55:51.clunky, but apparently it is all right. There is Christian Elkin.

:55:52. > :55:56.Number 17. Is it brightening up? Lindsay Hairpin for the last time in

:55:57. > :56:03.this race. This is a time when he will be hearing funny noises. Such a

:56:04. > :56:11.nice guy, Ivan Lintin. Lots of success on Supertiwns and it will

:56:12. > :56:23.continue here. A good result for McKinstry Racing and nice to see the

:56:24. > :56:30.supporters carry on winning. Sam Dunlop will win that battle. Here

:56:31. > :56:52.comes the man on his way to the chequered flag. 12 seconds or so. No

:56:53. > :56:58.one is there. Congratulations, you hit the front and never looked back

:56:59. > :57:03.stop I did not think I would get away. I thought it would be the race

:57:04. > :57:11.on Thursday, everyone together. I started looking behind me and not I

:57:12. > :57:18.would maintain the gap. -- and I thought. That brings us to the end

:57:19. > :57:20.of the Ulster Grand Prix. Difficult conditions and difficult

:57:21. > :57:24.circumstances for the organisers having to deal with the crashes but

:57:25. > :57:30.they got there in the end. It was superb this year. Things went wrong,

:57:31. > :57:35.but a lot of things went right. We had new faces in the international

:57:36. > :57:44.scene, we had Bruce Anstey picking up a two more wins. He is still

:57:45. > :57:48.going home happy. Even though he will go home a little bit sore after

:57:49. > :57:54.that crash. I hope you have enjoyed the action, we will be back here

:57:55. > :59:00.next year, but from that -- for now, it is goodbye.

:59:01. > :59:06.One, two, three, four. Here they come!
