:02:43. > :02:51.And alongside Anthony, we have the first woman in history to win an

:06:19. > :06:23.Anthony Agogo could have gone on holiday. He came up on the outside.
:06:23. > :06:26.It is not full of familiar names, but they pull stuff out. In terms of
:06:26. > :06:32.winning medals at the competitions, this is the toughest of the lot,
:06:32. > :06:37.isn't it? It is the toughest. If you look at the 60s and 70s and 80s, we
:06:37. > :06:40.went three or four Europeans. Eight year cycle without a medal. Once we
:06:40. > :06:48.sent 27 boxers, Great Britain and Ireland, and we came back with one
:06:48. > :06:58.medal. This is a tough tournament. Thank you. Well, Andrew Selby was

:08:04. > :08:08.In terms of how you felt in your career, how confident are you going
:08:09. > :08:11.into the later stages here? always confident. I have always been
:08:11. > :08:18.a confident person. It doesn't matter who I'm fighting. It is just
:08:18. > :08:21.me on the day. I know if I put in the peril formance, I can beat --
:08:21. > :08:26.put in the performance, I can beat anyone.
:08:26. > :08:30.Talk to me about Michael. I'm sick of fighting him.
:08:30. > :08:34.Why do you say you're sick of fighting him? He is tough and he is
:08:34. > :08:39.very fit. We have had two fights and it could have gone either way both
:08:39. > :08:43.times, but I come out the better. Does that give you the edge? You
:08:43. > :08:47.have won those two fights, do you believe that gives you the edge, do
:08:47. > :08:51.you think he thinks about that? he is going to want to beat me up
:08:51. > :08:55.morement of I know Andrew quite well. We had
:08:55. > :08:59.close fights. I'm looking forward to get it on again and hopefully I will
:08:59. > :09:04.come out inwither this time. They have been close, but if we
:09:04. > :09:08.fight this time, I'm going to have to prove I'm the best because I've
:09:08. > :09:13.trained really hard. I need to set the record, it is the
:09:13. > :09:19.first fight in the World Championships and the world final,
:09:19. > :09:26.he beat me by a point. The last fight, it was close again, but he
:09:26. > :09:32.took it. Could history be in the making as
:09:32. > :09:42.well as Andrew Selby becomes the first British fighter to retain an
:09:42. > :09:42.
:09:42. > :09:52.amateur gold, he is against the man from Belfast, Michael Conlan. Your
:09:52. > :09:54.
:09:54. > :09:58.The final word of encourage encouragement. What a contest this
:09:58. > :10:01.promises to be because the boxer wearing red, Andrew Selby
:10:01. > :10:04.representing Wales is the reigning European championship Gold
:10:04. > :10:10.Medallist. He is the tournament number one seed. The number one
:10:10. > :10:15.ranked in Europe and the world and the world's number one ranked boxer
:10:15. > :10:18.and he is taking a a man wearing blue, Michael Conlan who is almost
:10:18. > :10:22.as highly decorated. A tournament number two seed and number three in
:10:22. > :10:28.Europe and world number three as well, not to mention the fact that
:10:28. > :10:32.he is the Olympic bronze medallist from London 2012 and that man
:10:32. > :10:37.Michael Conlan is representing Ireland in what proves to be a
:10:37. > :10:41.terrific third encounter. The first round in a contest that both
:10:41. > :10:46.competitors are evenly matched is crucial because it dictates the
:10:46. > :10:51.tactics for the rest of the contest. You heard Andrew Selby's corner say
:10:51. > :10:55.he has got to win this first round and at the moment, it is anyones.
:10:55. > :10:58.They are both boxing well and Conlan is getting through with the better
:10:58. > :11:04.shots early on. Selby continuing to switch his
:11:04. > :11:10.stance. He is a really adept switch hitter operating out of both the
:11:10. > :11:17.Southport and orthodox stands. He gets through with a good right-hand.
:11:17. > :11:24.He goes to the body effectively as well, but Conlan, almost his equal.
:11:24. > :11:28.Conlan having a final word at this point. Selby is a very talented
:11:28. > :11:36.boxer indeed. He is probably the most talented in the GB squad. He is
:11:36. > :11:41.a natural switch hitter. He will switch to orthodox and he can do
:11:41. > :11:45.both styles as equally as well and his range of movement and his timing
:11:45. > :11:49.when he is doing it, I think he sometimes does it without even
:11:49. > :11:53.realising he is doing it. He is that ta he lented. -- he is that
:11:53. > :11:59.talented. It is the third time these two guys
:11:59. > :12:06.met. The first time was during the World Championships. Selby said that
:12:06. > :12:12.in each of the two connest tests either -- contests either man could
:12:12. > :12:16.have had his hand raised. This is how their two previous encounters
:12:16. > :12:23.have been - nothing it as we approach 30 seconds to go in this
:12:23. > :12:31.opening round. Conlan coming forward and going to
:12:31. > :12:36.both body and head. Selby catching him immediately. Conlan coming back
:12:36. > :12:41.and each time somebody has their Ono fencive and they are met instantly.
:12:41. > :12:49.High skill level. High intelligence being dem straitds in the boxing
:12:50. > :12:55.range -- demonstrated in the bobbing ring between -- boxing ring.
:12:55. > :12:59.What a terrific opening round in this flyweight gold medal bout. As
:12:59. > :13:05.competitive as we anticipated it would be between two of the best in
:13:05. > :13:10.the business! Yes, some good work from both boxers. Conlan tends to
:13:10. > :13:14.work better on the inside. But Selby works better at long-range. His
:13:14. > :13:18.movement is excellent on the outside. A close round to score and
:13:18. > :13:22.there is Selby bringing Conlan on to the shot there. The Irishman had the
:13:22. > :13:31.better of the work on the inside, but just gets caught there with the
:13:31. > :13:35.shot from Selby. Well, the judges, no unanimity
:13:35. > :13:39.there. Two of the three seeing it for Selby. The first judge seeing it
:13:39. > :13:45.in favour of Conlan and that's a fair reflection of how the first
:13:45. > :13:52.round played out. It was either way and Selby just sneaked ahead.
:13:52. > :13:56.We move into the second round of this 52 kilogramme flyweight final
:13:56. > :14:06.and Andrew Selby is looking to defend his title from the Olympic
:14:06. > :14:07.
:14:07. > :14:15.bronze medal from London 2012. These two boxers met over five three
:14:15. > :14:19.minute rounds without a vest and without a head guard during the
:14:19. > :14:24.World Series Boxing Competition and it is one of the best contests I had
:14:24. > :14:28.the privilege of seeing and they produced an encounter that's living
:14:28. > :14:36.up in terms of standard and quality of the first two in their attempts
:14:36. > :14:42.to be crowned European champion. A good left-hand by Selby. Conlan back
:14:42. > :14:46.on the front foot. Selby's elusiveness causing him to miss.
:14:46. > :14:50.What is evident here is Selby's movement. The movement is key to his
:14:50. > :14:54.success. Once he holds his feet, he brings Conlan into the contest and
:14:54. > :14:58.when he is hitting and moving, he is difficult to catch indeed and that's
:14:58. > :15:02.what Conlan just can't grasp. He can't get to grips with that
:15:02. > :15:11.movement from Selby. So Selby he must hit and move and Conlan has to
:15:11. > :15:15.drag him in and hold his feet. Terrific reflexes both the boxers
:15:15. > :15:23.possess. Selby gets through with a good jab and takes the straight shot
:15:23. > :15:27.up from Conlan as well. An due Selby can dart in and -- Andrew Selby can
:15:27. > :15:37.dart in and out. Conlan is adept at switching his stance and he is
:15:37. > :15:55.
:15:55. > :16:00.shot as a southpaw. Now Selby has got to change things. Conlan scored
:16:00. > :16:06.with a right jab. Terrific action here inside the final minute of the
:16:06. > :16:13.second round. The gold medal at stake. Andrew Selby looking to
:16:13. > :16:18.defend the European title he won in Turkey two years ago. Conlan
:16:18. > :16:22.continues to be in hot pursuit of Andrew Selby. But look at the way
:16:22. > :16:30.Selby can skip left and right, in and out, to rhythmic movement.
:16:30. > :16:33.Changing stance and direction. success that Conlan had at the start
:16:33. > :16:42.of this round is being rubbed off now. Selby is having a great last
:16:42. > :16:48.half of the round. Selby is having more success in the last minute or
:16:48. > :16:54.so. You can hear the instruction from his corner, move, moved. And
:16:54. > :17:01.that is going to be a key tactic during the third and final round.
:17:01. > :17:06.The second round, pick your style, what do you prefer? Selby was a
:17:06. > :17:11.little bit square, he got caught a little bit coming in. But good
:17:11. > :17:18.movement again from Selby. It is nip and tuck. Both giving each other
:17:18. > :17:23.some good shots, especially with the right hand from Selby and that
:17:23. > :17:30.exchange, Conlan played his part as well. A close round the school. --
:17:30. > :17:40.close round to score. The final moments of instruction to these two
:17:40. > :17:45.
:17:45. > :17:51.highly experienced, high quality third and final round in the men's
:17:51. > :17:55.52 kilograms flyweight final. Michael Conlan, the Olympic bronze

:18:05. > :18:19.
:18:19. > :18:24.was off in a flash to his left. one 's -- Conlan 's corner would
:18:24. > :18:31.have told and he is behind. He has got to pull it round somehow. This
:18:31. > :18:40.might suit Selby, he prefers boxers to come onto him. So Conlan is
:18:40. > :18:47.getting a bit desperate, that might suit Selby. He has to do something,
:18:47. > :18:56.he gets through the good right hand. Less than two minutes to go. The
:18:56. > :19:03.gold medal at stake. Andrew Selby, to continue his terrific run. The
:19:03. > :19:09.reigning European gold medallist. He was the number one boxer during the
:19:09. > :19:12.World Series boxing tournament as well. Prodigiously talented. He
:19:12. > :19:18.really is fulfilling the immense promise and potential he showed as a
:19:18. > :19:23.youngster. Selby is just boxing better at range now and Conlan is
:19:23. > :19:30.just struggling to make his opponent hold his feet and try and drag him
:19:30. > :19:38.into detail to toe battle he must have to gain success. He is boxing
:19:38. > :19:48.at range, Selby, he's keeping his distance. Conlan, impossible to
:19:48. > :19:53.
:19:54. > :20:02.deter, impossible to discourage. boxing. These two boxers, operating
:20:02. > :20:08.at a terrific pace as we're deep into the final round. European gold
:20:08. > :20:11.at stake, they both know it. They have got to keep the shape. Selby,
:20:11. > :20:17.cutting his opponent, it is those eye-catching shots which are the
:20:17. > :20:25.difference again. They are catching the judges eyes, with those better
:20:25. > :20:35.quality shots. Selby, holding up a club in celebration that he has
:20:35. > :20:42.
:20:42. > :20:45.and compete right until the final bell. It has been another terrific
:20:45. > :20:52.encounter between these two familiar adversaries. A warm embrace, which
:20:52. > :20:56.is nice to see. But Andrew Selby is no doubt he has done enough to
:20:56. > :20:59.successfully retain and defend his European championship gold. Again,
:20:59. > :21:06.it is the third time these boxers have met, and it will be another
:21:06. > :21:13.razorthin decision. Selby has perhaps just done enough coming into
:21:13. > :21:23.this third and final round, it will be down to the judges. The official
:21:23. > :21:31.
:21:31. > :21:35.the winner is, in the red corner, Andrew Selby. He has done it! He has
:21:35. > :21:45.successfully defended his title with a split decision victory over his
:21:45. > :21:47.
:21:47. > :21:55.this third encounter between these two boxers, to be crowned European
:21:55. > :21:58.champion. Words can't express how I am feeling now. By have had a few
:21:58. > :22:02.fights with him, he is the toughest I have thought. It was a split
:22:02. > :22:07.decision, could have gone either way, just like the other two. I am
:22:07. > :22:13.just glad I have got to gold medals. How difficult did you find it out
:22:13. > :22:21.there? I thought I mixed the first two and I got tired at the end, he
:22:21. > :22:27.comes on strong. That is boxing, I will be back. How much confidence do
:22:27. > :22:31.you take from this huge achievement, going forward? I was confident
:22:31. > :22:35.anywhere, my main aim now is to get a gold in the world Championships. I
:22:35. > :22:39.went there last year and are lost by one point for the gold, thought I
:22:39. > :22:46.had done enough to win. But I will be 11 going into day now, I will be
:22:46. > :22:50.the one to watch. Britain have won five European gold
:22:50. > :22:56.since 1961. Andrew Selby has won two of them back-to-back! How big the
:22:56. > :23:02.achievement is it? He is also won two bronze medals as well. He has
:23:02. > :23:06.been part of the elite programme GB boxing has since just before the
:23:06. > :23:11.2008 Olympics, our system is the envy of the world. You saw there
:23:11. > :23:15.with Selby, I was talking about it with Nick and Anthony come he
:23:15. > :23:20.doesn't know what he's going to do. You can't teach some of the stuff
:23:20. > :23:26.that Andrew Selby does. I was saying, look at this, and Anthony
:23:26. > :23:32.were saying, how has he done that? ! You can't do it! It is that hard! It
:23:32. > :23:39.is beyond extensive. A hugely impressive performance. That is to
:23:39. > :23:43.reach hugely tight contests between him and Michael Conlan. It shows all
:23:43. > :23:50.the hard work in the gym is paying off. He is a good, top-quality,
:23:50. > :23:56.tricky boxer. He can box orthodox as well as southpaw, it is hard enough
:23:56. > :24:04.boxing an opponent in one stance he is always giving you guessing. He is
:24:04. > :24:11.a good thinking boxer. He is always raising his game. One point! Nothing
:24:12. > :24:17.in it. Do you spar with him? How tricky is it to be on the receiving
:24:17. > :24:21.end of that switching? Really tricky. You don't know where he's
:24:21. > :24:29.going to be, you throw a punch and he is of the other side of the ring!
:24:30. > :24:35.You are following him around, he is that good. He wins! As a box as
:24:35. > :24:38.well, looking at what he brings to the table, we shouldn't be that
:24:39. > :24:45.surprised. He has been unbeaten in 14 bouts. Should we be that
:24:45. > :24:49.surprised? Yes and no, he has been on top of his game, for a fighter to
:24:50. > :24:54.stay at that level, that is what Andrew Selby is doing. At the same
:24:54. > :24:58.time, I think he is in these tough championships as well, nothing is
:24:58. > :25:02.ever guaranteed in boxing. So he is going out there and proving himself
:25:02. > :25:06.time and again and that takes a lot from within, in his personal life,
:25:06. > :25:13.even though he is on top of his game is and it looks easy, I'm sure he's
:25:13. > :25:18.going through a lot to be able to achieve history. What next for
:25:18. > :25:25.Andrew? He has signed up for this APB pro boxing, what is that about?
:25:25. > :25:30.I would like to be able to tell you! But I'm not too sure myself! It is
:25:30. > :25:35.something that the people who final from the Europeans to the Olympics,
:25:35. > :25:41.they have something called APB, and the men that sign up for this will
:25:41. > :25:47.get paid, they will box eight, ten and 12 round contests. It will be
:25:47. > :25:53.continent based, they will box against Africa, against Asia, and
:25:53. > :25:58.against the Americans, it will go towards... He could have 20 contests

:33:10. > :33:13.power as well. Well, we are all good from Leeds, aren't we?
:33:13. > :33:18.LAUGHTER You would say that clearly!
:33:18. > :33:23.The future for him looks brilliant, doesn't it? Yeah, definitely. We
:33:23. > :33:27.should be excited for what Jack Bateson should offer? He is a

:33:34. > :33:43.he does. Anthony, I know you like his

:34:07. > :34:10.Imauto ImI'm sure he will get to the top. In the second semi-final, it

:35:04. > :35:10.Paddy Barnes missed that tournament after winning the title in 2010. He

:35:20. > :35:26.
:35:26. > :35:30.defend his gold. Paddy Barnes is ahead and Alizada knows that. What I
:35:30. > :35:34.like about Barnes, he thinks about his defence and keeps the guard nice
:35:34. > :35:39.and high and the elbows tucked in. He takes a lot of shots on his arms
:35:39. > :35:43.and elbows and he counter attacks. His beats his opponent with sneaky
:35:43. > :35:49.little shots as his opponent is coming forward. He is accurate with
:35:49. > :35:58.his work and has damage to the nose, but he is ahead here. Indeed, the
:35:58. > :36:05.referee keeping a close eye on that nose. It is really one of the best
:36:05. > :36:10.amateur boxers out there in this flyweight division. Two time Olympic
:36:10. > :36:15.bronze medal and European champion in 2010. Commonwealth Gold Medallist
:36:15. > :36:17.in Delhi 2010 as well. The only major tournament where he is missing
:36:17. > :36:22.podium hardware is the World Championships. He will be hoping to
:36:22. > :36:31.put that right later on. There you see that nose just smearing it away
:36:31. > :36:38.with his glove. It has been giving trouble since the quarter-final
:36:38. > :36:42.stages. He took damage on the nose from earlier contests. It is just
:36:42. > :36:47.his style. He is there to be hit and also Paddy Barnes, the way he stands
:36:48. > :36:57.there, but he is trying to put great work and combinations are going in,
:36:57. > :37:01.but he is putting on a finish here. Paddy Barnes is well ahead. .
:37:01. > :37:08.Beautiful combination from the rapid fist of Paddy Barnes and the referee
:37:08. > :37:12.calling up the doctor. Sending Barnes to a neutral corner to have
:37:12. > :37:16.the doctor inspect the damage to this nose. This is amateur boxing
:37:17. > :37:21.and not professional boxing so there is a tendency to call things off,
:37:21. > :37:28.but Barnes remaining concentrated. Another rapid straight punching
:37:28. > :37:37.combination of three or four punches, keeping Alizada on the ends
:37:37. > :37:42.of them. Barnes really finishing this in highlight real fashion. Now
:37:42. > :37:49.surely he has done enough to book his place in the gold medal bout
:37:49. > :37:52.again. The closing bell sounds. Good job Paddy Barnes. A magnificent
:37:52. > :38:02.exhibition of boxing, but there you see the damage to the nose once
:38:02. > :38:03.
:38:03. > :38:09.more. The reigning Gold Medallist Alizada. Barnes put on an exhibition
:38:09. > :38:14.during the third and final round that will surely see his hands
:38:14. > :38:18.raises raised as the victor. Yeah, he finished in style, Paddy
:38:18. > :38:26.Barnes. He put the combinations. Threes and fours were going in. It
:38:26. > :38:36.is his accuracy and the work rate and he brought Alizada on to the end
:38:36. > :38:41.
:38:41. > :38:46.of the shots. A fine display. Paddy Barnes flexes his by accepts
:38:46. > :38:56.in celebration because he boked his place in the light-flyweight
:38:56. > :38:59.division. He gets the opportunity to regain the title he never got the

:39:04. > :39:09.You got a lot of people worried when your nose went. How does it feel?
:39:09. > :39:13.feels really bad. I can feel it moving too. I will get the doctor to
:39:13. > :39:18.have a look at it to see what the story is. A conce a ahead of the
:39:18. > :39:25.final? Ah, definitely. One jab and it got bust. It is not nice.

:39:28. > :39:33.you think? No. You will go ahead and fight? Yes.
:39:33. > :39:40.You want it that much? It is only a nose.
:39:40. > :39:43.You want it that much? I trained so hard. Of
:39:43. > :39:47.Unfortunately, the nose injury was more certificate jus than he thought
:39:47. > :39:52.and after x-rays it showed he had broken it which means he had to pull
:39:52. > :39:57.out of the final. Huge disappointment then for Paddy.

:40:09. > :40:15.Because that's the way Paddy Barnes is. He came across as a character,
:40:15. > :40:18.that's nothing. If you have been in Belfast with Paddy Barnes, I thought

:40:29. > :40:34.Belfast and he won't mind me saying that! He is a phenomenal talent. He

:40:40. > :40:48.About Paddy, what a circumstances to have to leave the final particularly
:40:48. > :40:52.when you are close to getting gold? I think these are things - the thing
:40:52. > :40:56.in boxing, you get your nose broken and your nose bleeds and sometimes
:40:56. > :41:00.it is not down to your technical ability etcetera. Even in the

:41:04. > :41:07.going into that final, it wasn't that I couldn't move my feet or I
:41:07. > :41:13.wasn't ready, it was down to injury. It is a shame, but it is for the

:43:25. > :43:33.him. -- Nevin prefers boxers coming towards him. He tends to land well
:43:33. > :43:42.with that right-hand and Butsenko's feet are too slow. The pace is
:43:42. > :43:47.suiting Nevin. He is in a comfort zone the way he is boxing here and
:43:47. > :43:55.Butsenko has to quicken the feet up a bit.
:43:55. > :44:05.He beat the world number one ranked 50 kilogramme boxer during the

:44:15. > :44:15.
:44:16. > :44:25.contest Great Britain versus Ireland for Olympic gold. Butsenko got
:44:25. > :44:30.through there. , it was a similar style. He brought him on to the
:44:30. > :44:37.right hands. He is working again here, Nevin. He has got a relaxed
:44:37. > :44:44.guard and that's why he is open to the right hook as Butsenko comes
:44:44. > :44:53.forward, but it is the movement from Nevin that takes him out of range.
:44:53. > :44:58.A good right-hand causing Nevin to retreat. Butse in, ko contesting his

:46:24. > :46:28.boxing from Nevin. Up off his stool, ready for work, as is Butsenko, as
:46:28. > :46:35.we move into the second round in this 56 kilograms gold-medal bout,
:46:35. > :46:40.the bantamweight decision. Nevin has become the second round in similar
:46:40. > :46:50.fashion, just floating backwards and snaking out a straight shot,
:46:50. > :46:53.reddening the face of his opponent, who is impossible to deter.
:46:53. > :46:58.judgement of distance from Nevin is excellent, his timing is very good,
:46:58. > :47:05.but because of the slow feet of his opponent, he is just being allowed

:47:18. > :47:27.just restrict his movement a little bit. -- onto those robes. For me,
:47:27. > :47:31.he's totally in control here. the number -- he ousted the

:47:41. > :47:42.
:47:42. > :47:51.upset. He did it using this hustling, bustling tactic, but he is
:47:51. > :47:56.reduced to chasing shadows, such is the elusive movement of the Nevin.
:47:56. > :47:59.John Joe Nevin is boxing beautifully. He is well on his way

:48:19. > :48:25.to land a right hook and with Nevin 's left hand so low, if he moves
:48:25. > :48:28.that way, he will walk onto the shot. If he moves to his right
:48:28. > :48:38.committee moves away from the right hook, that is his preferred movement
:48:38. > :48:43.
:48:43. > :48:47.periods during this second round, when he is on the move, the
:48:47. > :48:55.advantage in foot speed and movement, he appears imperious. He
:48:55. > :49:00.is reducing Butsenko to flailing punches that invariably fall short.
:49:01. > :49:06.The second one did go through, as Nevin had nowhere to go. That is
:49:06. > :49:13.what he has to do, Butsenko, double up the attacks and put more pressure
:49:13. > :49:21.on him. Nevin has slowed things down with the feet, he is very good at
:49:21. > :49:27.doing that, making the opponents box to his pace. All too often, Butsenko

:49:46. > :49:51.that left hook, Butsenko trying to land with the right hook, wasn't too

:51:10. > :51:17.Nevin. He has got to stay in attack -- in the centre of the ring. Look

:51:31. > :51:38.Trying to pin Nevin onto the ropes once again. Halfway through this
:51:38. > :51:44.third and final round. Butsenko, you see the edge in movement again,

:51:49. > :51:52.he knows he's in front, and then you just make the opponents come at you,
:51:52. > :51:56.then you bring him onto the shot, that has been his tactic from the

:53:00. > :53:05.into the shot, a great display from Nevin again. The shuffle in effect
:53:05. > :53:09.once more. Something he has taken from the legendary Muhammad Arley.
:53:09. > :53:18.The hands raised instantly in celebration from John Joe Nevin, he
:53:18. > :53:24.knows that he has done enough to be crowned European champions after a
:53:24. > :53:28.scintillating display against Butsenko of the Ukraine. A great
:53:28. > :53:38.right hand there, lovely shuffle as well, really impressed with that at
:53:38. > :53:44.
:53:44. > :53:54.the European number one becomes the European champion after Orient
:53:54. > :53:57.
:53:57. > :54:07.display of boxing against Butsenko rounds in the back, with some
:54:07. > :54:07.
:54:07. > :54:17.brilliant boxing, has seen him the final was middleweight Jason
:54:17. > :54:40.
:54:40. > :54:46.Quigley who made it through -- the tournament 's number two seed.
:54:46. > :54:54.He is ranked seven in the world, Juratoni, the reigning bronze
:54:54. > :55:01.medallist from two years ago. And the number two seed, looking to
:55:01. > :55:04.follow the form book and get himself under the gold-medal podium. This is
:55:04. > :55:13.a tough contest for Jason Quigley, but I think you started reasonably
:55:13. > :55:16.well. That was an example they are of a shot landed by Jason Quigley,
:55:16. > :55:25.but he has good technique a tense to slip to his left and then throw this
:55:25. > :55:31.overhand right -- he tends to slip to his left. It is a lively start
:55:31. > :55:36.from the Richmond. A good combination from Jason Quigley, just
:55:36. > :55:45.penetrating the guard. The combination of mid range punches was
:55:46. > :55:55.effective as well. A good right-hand, the final punch of that
:55:56. > :56:00.
:56:00. > :56:06.exchange. Quigley is picking his foot, he is a front foot type of
:56:06. > :56:11.opponents. Strong, but he is there to be hit, gets caught with these
:56:11. > :56:18.shots from Quigley as he is coming forward. Movement is the key from
:56:18. > :56:28.Quigley. Juratoni has had most of success when he forces the Irishman
:56:28. > :56:32.
:56:32. > :56:40.to stand still and then work pattern of this contest has been set
:56:40. > :56:43.here in the opening round. Quigley is using his movement. Juratoni,
:56:43. > :56:49.completely on the front foot, looking to wage war, to both head
:56:49. > :56:56.and body of the Irishman. Here he has got him on the ropes once again,
:56:56. > :57:01.trying to work away with shots to his rib cage. The ring position for
:57:01. > :57:06.Jason Quigley is crucial. What he has got to do is stay and box in the
:57:07. > :57:13.space of the centre of the ring. When he goes on the ropes, his feet
:57:13. > :57:22.ten to go square. He got caught with a body shot, that was a good shot
:57:22. > :57:25.from Juratoni. He has to be tighter to the guard, Jason Quigley. A round
:57:25. > :57:30.of contrasting styles. When Quigley is using his feet effectively, he
:57:31. > :57:36.appears incomplete control against Bob Dan Juratoni, but he had his
:57:36. > :57:43.moments of success as well. He forced Quigley to the ropes and
:57:43. > :57:49.forced him to come square. Juratoni, coming forward, but he gets caught
:57:49. > :57:52.with a superb right hand. That was good movement. He finishes off the
:57:52. > :58:02.sequence with that right hand, a good jab, gets caught with a single
:58:02. > :58:14.
:58:14. > :58:17.75 kilograms metal weight final. -- middleweight. One macro, the
:58:17. > :58:25.favourite, has come out blazing in this second round, he will be aware
:58:25. > :58:30.he has dropped the first round against the Irishman -- Juratoni.
:58:30. > :58:39.Juratoni, beginning to work over to both head and body. Quigley finally
:58:39. > :58:43.retaliated. Before using his bid to get out of trouble. That was an
:58:43. > :58:46.example of holding his feet on the ropes, he got caught with a couple
:58:46. > :58:52.of the body shots. Juratoni is trying to get him onto the ropes,
:58:52. > :58:58.target his body. He wants to slow Quigley down, that is what you do
:58:58. > :59:04.against a moving boxer, you target the body. Quigley is back upon his
:59:04. > :59:07.toes after being pinned to the ropes. When he uses his feet well
:59:07. > :59:13.and snakes out long shots, he appears to be far more comfortable,
:59:13. > :59:23.but look at Juratoni roughing it up, the revelry immediately just a that
:59:23. > :59:23.
:59:23. > :59:33.the forearm is not a legal offensive weapon in boxing -- the revelry.
:59:33. > :59:42.
:59:42. > :59:46.Quigley has had a juridical run to the reigning world champion. -- he
:59:46. > :59:53.accounted for the number one seed, that was in a really hard-fought
:59:53. > :59:58.semi-final. He was declared the unanimous winner. He finds himself
:59:58. > :00:01.in a real hard-fought contest here against Juratoni, who continues to
:00:01. > :00:09.pile on the pressure and come forward. Quigley is just beginning
:00:09. > :00:13.to slow. Those body shots, perhaps taking a toll in this final bout.
:00:14. > :00:23.That is what he has got to do, box at range, got to maintain a gap,
:00:24. > :00:24.
:00:24. > :00:29.hold the centre of the ring and move This is the fourth bout for both
:00:29. > :00:33.boxers. So fatigue will be a factor. But increasingly the exchanges
:00:33. > :00:40.taking a place at close quarters and at centre ring. Quigley trying to
:00:40. > :00:47.remain up on his toes and keep it long. Juratoni just bombing away
:00:47. > :00:54.with that right. Quigley is really excellent. It is as if he is going
:00:54. > :01:04.to lead and he pulls back and maintains the lap and ma man tans
:01:04. > :01:05.
:01:05. > :01:09.his feet. He is straight punching. A hard fought second round. That was
:01:09. > :01:13.a really intriguing session between those two boxers. Really hard
:01:13. > :01:16.fought. Juratoni just coming forward and you sense perhaps having more
:01:16. > :01:20.success during the course of that second round than he did in the
:01:20. > :01:24.first. Yes, it is interesting to see how the judges score that. I think
:01:24. > :01:28.Juratoni had the best work and this is the mistake he made here Quigley,
:01:28. > :01:33.standing on the ropes and Juratoni working the body. Excellent work
:01:33. > :01:37.here from the Romanian and Quigley moves off. Centre of the ring he is
:01:37. > :01:41.totally different, but there on the inside, Juratoni has the best work,
:01:41. > :01:44.but when the punches are straight, there is an example there in and out
:01:44. > :01:48.from Quigley, the better work comes from the Irishman.
:01:48. > :01:54.Well, two judges seeing it in favour of Juratoni as we enter the third
:01:54. > :01:59.and final round of the middleweight championship bout in Minsk. There is
:01:59. > :02:04.everything to box for in this third round. Quigley got his nose in
:02:04. > :02:07.front. A unanimous decision in the first round. Two judges favouring
:02:08. > :02:14.Juratoni during the second round. So delicately poised as we move into
:02:14. > :02:19.the third and final session. The tournament number two seed, Bogdan
:02:19. > :02:23.Juratoni, looking to add European championship gold to his medal
:02:23. > :02:33.collection against Jason Quigley who has already upset two seeds en route
:02:33. > :02:37.
:02:37. > :02:43.to this final. Look at how rough and physical it is getting. Lots of
:02:43. > :02:48.mauling going on. A good right-hand over the top from Juratoni. Quigley
:02:48. > :02:51.finding himself with his back turned to his opponent and that is illegal.
:02:51. > :02:55.The referee intervened and the hostilities resume once more and
:02:55. > :03:05.again, the head of Juratoni just being driven into the face along
:03:05. > :03:05.
:03:05. > :03:12.with a fore forearm. A straight one, two is the combination that Quigley
:03:12. > :03:22.must work on. It is the straight shots he has got to concentrate on.
:03:22. > :03:29.
:03:29. > :03:34.Long-range work and qig and Quigley is in control.
:03:34. > :03:39.The number two he seed Juratoni had a competitive hard run, but he
:03:39. > :03:43.scores with a beautiful left right. It just stopped Quigley ins his
:03:43. > :03:50.tracks and as we approach the final minute this contest is up for grabs
:03:50. > :03:53.and in the balance. Look how keenly both the boxers are competing in an
:03:53. > :04:00.effort to be crowned European champion with less than a minute to
:04:00. > :04:05.go of this round. Quigley is on the floor. There was a hint of a punch
:04:05. > :04:11.in there. I don't know whether the punch connected or not. Quigley
:04:11. > :04:17.attempting to get his straight punches working once more. It is
:04:17. > :04:22.entwined arms once more. The contest resumes. There is nothing in this
:04:22. > :04:26.contest. It just takes a little bit of composure and the last 20 or 30
:04:26. > :04:30.seconds and that's what Quigley has got to do is just stick to his
:04:31. > :04:34.boxing and pick his shots well. There is nothing in this at all.
:04:34. > :04:39.Both boxers competing with everything they have. Quigley just
:04:39. > :04:44.looked over to his red corn corner as if to say, " How am I doing?"
:04:44. > :04:49.Look at the Finnish he is producing, that both the boxers are producing.
:04:49. > :04:53.As the closing bell sounds to conclude the middleweight
:04:53. > :05:00.championship bout, Jason Quigley feels he has done enough. He took
:05:00. > :05:05.the first round. He lost the second round and in round number three both
:05:05. > :05:13.boxers let it all hang out and produced spirited competition in a
:05:13. > :05:23.quest to become European medallist. Nip and tuck, isn't it? He gets
:05:23. > :05:30.caught with the shot, Quigley. A split decision.
:05:30. > :05:37.A split decision. Jason Quigley let's out a roar of delight because
:05:37. > :05:41.he has been crowned the European championship medallist. A job well
:05:41. > :05:45.done because what a run this young man had to the gold medal to the top
:05:45. > :05:54.place on the podium. He beat the number four seed. He beat the number
:05:54. > :05:58.one seed in the semi-final and now, during the course of the gold medal
:05:58. > :06:03.bout, he has beaten Bogdan Juratoni. Jason Quigley is the European
:06:03. > :06:06.Jason Quigley is the European champion.
:06:06. > :06:10.Well it was another strong showing from the Irish. What are they doing
:06:10. > :06:14.right? Well, I will tell you what they are, they are competitive. That
:06:14. > :06:19.sounds obvious, but let me explain it. In Ireland, both north and
:06:19. > :06:24.south, being an amateur boxer carries incredible kudos. Amateur
:06:24. > :06:27.boxers in Donegal. Amateur boxers in Belfast and amateur boxers in Dublin
:06:27. > :06:31.are recognised on the street because they have had a funding programme in
:06:31. > :06:35.place for ten years before we have had a funding programme, but the
:06:36. > :06:40.most amazing thing about the four finalists, the two winners and two
:06:40. > :06:47.losers, the two guys who are reigning champions went out early
:06:47. > :06:49.with Joe twisting his knee when he was in front. They could have had
:06:49. > :06:55.six finalists. They could have had four winners. S.of
:06:55. > :07:01.Jason Quigley went into the tournament as a relative unknown a
:07:01. > :07:04.bit like Anthony Joshua? Yes, we knew Anthony Joshua was around. He
:07:04. > :07:10.went there not seeded and no one thinks he is going to be a problem
:07:11. > :07:17.and he just started bashing them and just like Quigley he kept bashing
:07:17. > :07:25.out the world number four and the world number three and the world
:07:25. > :07:28.number two to get to the final. Is it about expectation? He has
:07:28. > :07:32.probably gone there with his team-mates around him. Champions
:07:32. > :07:38.that great experience, that great morale around him and he has just
:07:38. > :07:48.thrived of that and he whats gone out and got the job job done.
:07:48. > :07:53.John Joe Nevin p picked up the -- John Joe Nevin picked up the
:07:53. > :08:00.accolade as the best boxer? He is a special talent and a lovely kid.

:08:05. > :08:11.record is phenomenal. Five world titles and four worlds and Olympic
:08:11. > :08:13.gold. Clearly, someone you have huge respect for, Nicola? Yes, she is a

:08:32. > :08:39.boxer and she trains really hard. I have been on a lot of training camps
:08:39. > :08:44.with Katie and she works hard and she is good at what she does.
:08:44. > :08:49.What is Katie up to at the minute? She is getting six figure offers to
:08:49. > :08:59.turn professional and she has to think about them even though she
:08:59. > :09:03.
:09:03. > :09:13.wants to go to Rio. Welcome to Minsk, the capital of

:10:55. > :11:00.Tell us briefly about politics that's going on behind the amateur
:11:00. > :11:05.boxing at the minute? Well, it happens in all amateur sports. There
:11:05. > :11:09.is all sorts of problems and there was a dispute inside the GB and the
:11:09. > :11:14.Scottish A BA and the Welsh A BA. One or two people moved aside. One
:11:14. > :11:19.or two people fancy taking a places that are vacant. The funding that's
:11:19. > :11:26.in place for the elite athletes, that's there, that's going to stay.
:11:26. > :11:36.Unaffected? That's unaffected. Well next up, it is the super
:11:36. > :11:36.
:11:37. > :11:40.heavyweights. Without Anthony, Britain selected he Joe joist and he
:11:40. > :11:44.faced the Russian for a place in the faced the Russian for a place in the
:11:44. > :11:53.final. So both boxers return to their
:11:53. > :11:57.corners to await the opening bell. We go -- here we go then. Oh my
:11:57. > :12:03.goodness, Joe Joyce is in real trouble because the man wearing blue
:12:03. > :12:13.representing Russia has come out blazing and Joe Joyce the England

:12:24. > :12:29.Kuzmin wearing blue has put Joyce under pressure. A big white hand has
:12:29. > :12:34.jumped Joe Joyce on the seat of his pants within seconds of the opening
:12:34. > :12:39.round. It is all over! The referee has waved it off. And before the
:12:39. > :12:49.bout really had even begun, Joe Joyce has been put out of it.
:12:49. > :12:57.
:12:57. > :13:04.Stopped in the opening round in around 40 seconds by serge cap kuz

:13:07. > :13:12.decision. Look at that right-hand over the top. It was a cracking
:13:13. > :13:15.shot. I thought that Joe Joyce could have gone on, but it was a case of
:13:15. > :13:19.have gone on, but it was a case of being caught cold.
:13:19. > :13:22.A difficult fight. A very difficult opponent, but did you know the two
:13:22. > :13:27.fighters before you had pulled out so your fight was up so quickly?
:13:27. > :13:31.No, I was just getting ready and then it was like, " You have got to
:13:31. > :13:36.go. " I had to like almost jog here. They could have warned us when we
:13:36. > :13:39.got the gloves and the head guard and that, but it was just rushed.
:13:39. > :13:43.How much time did you have to prepare for the fight? How much time
:13:43. > :13:47.did you lose in preparation for a fight like that? Well, at least 20
:13:47. > :13:52.minutes because we were expecting there to be two more bouts before
:13:52. > :14:01.mine so I had to get ready quickly. This is the p biggest fight in your
:14:01. > :14:06.life? Yeah. And yeah, it all ended so quickly like, you know, I don't
:14:06. > :14:11.see why, how I could be stopped just like that, like I'm fine like. It
:14:11. > :14:20.wasn't a big shot or anything, but well fair play to him like. He won
:14:20. > :14:26.on the night so you know, I can't complain too much.
:14:26. > :14:29.An unfortunate ending for Joe Joyce. If he is saying two bouts vanished
:14:29. > :14:34.and he put his boots on and gloves on and he lost 25 minutes and he
:14:34. > :14:36.said he had to jog to the ring to get warm, then he was put at a
:14:37. > :14:40.disadvantage, but there is a big team out there and I'm not blaming
:14:40. > :14:46.the team, but everyone needs to be aware of what is going on. Someone
:14:46. > :14:51.needs to be out watch ing the ring. He got caught cold. Simple as that.
:14:51. > :14:55.What about the stoppage, Anthony? Should he have been allowed to carry
:14:55. > :14:58.on? Me personally, I feel he should have been able to carry on. You put
:14:58. > :15:02.so much into your training and this is boxing so you prepare for these
:15:02. > :15:06.things to happen and he got back up as a champion does and you live to
:15:06. > :15:09.fight on. It is a shame that the bout was stopped, but the referee is
:15:09. > :15:14.doing his job. You know Joe very well. You spar
:15:14. > :15:17.with him. He will be disappointed after that? You could see how
:15:17. > :15:21.disappointed he is because he is there. Fair enough, he has his
:15:21. > :15:24.brands medal which is a great achievement d bronze medal which is
:15:24. > :15:27.a great achievement, but he is there to win gold.
:15:27. > :15:32.Nicola, you are in the ring, how important is the build-up to get
:15:32. > :15:36.into the right zone? Really important. It can be the
:15:36. > :15:40.making and breaking of your fight. We just saw then, if you don't have
:15:40. > :15:45.the right preparation, getting ready and warming up, it can be a disaster
:15:45. > :15:49.in there. However, if you get it right and everything is on point, it
:15:49. > :15:57.is all smiles. Do you have a detailed, a plan? What
:15:57. > :16:02.you go through in the 20 minutes? Well, every boxer is different. I
:16:02. > :16:07.tend not to have my plan so rigid and allow for things going wrong.
:16:07. > :16:11.Mine would be just, you know, go down to the stadium. Put my boots on
:16:11. > :16:17.and lace up and put music on and just warm up and get ready.
:16:17. > :16:27.Time for the big hitters, the super-heavyweight final. It is
:16:27. > :16:36.
:16:36. > :16:39.super heavyweight gold-medal bout, there is absolutely nothing in it.
:16:39. > :16:49.Everything to fight for, everything to compete for between these two

:16:57. > :17:03.from 2010. He is the man who put Joe enjoys out at the semifinals in such
:17:03. > :17:10.emphatic fashion -- Joe Joyce. He stopped him at at around the 42nd
:17:10. > :17:17.mark. These two boxes are competing with everything they have in their
:17:17. > :17:24.efforts to be crowned gold medallist. I have been admiring
:17:24. > :17:28.Medzhidov more than Kuzmin in this contest. He is beating him to the
:17:28. > :17:35.shots. He is starting to outwork him now. To take risks like that against
:17:35. > :17:45.such a strong opponent, that is very brave indeed by Medzhidov. Toughness
:17:45. > :17:46.
:17:46. > :17:49.is one of his hallmarks full stop --. He beat Joshua, who beat
:17:49. > :17:56.brilliantly who made the final, but he ran up against this man, who was
:17:57. > :18:00.boxing at home, the two of them produced a brilliant contest. He got
:18:00. > :18:04.an Olympic bronze medal in London last year as well. He's competing
:18:04. > :18:12.with every ounce of his spirit here in an effort to stand atop the
:18:12. > :18:18.podium. Beyond halfway in this third and final round, the two men
:18:18. > :18:23.standing toe to toe, testing one another 's strength. Medzhidov still
:18:23. > :18:28.trying to operate behind an unorthodox jab but at --
:18:28. > :18:32.increasingly it is an attritional contest. He is working slightly
:18:32. > :18:36.harder for my money, he's finding the gap and the room to work on the
:18:36. > :18:45.inside. That was sloppy from the Russian bear, he got caught by some
:18:45. > :18:52.good shots from Medzhidov. Up till now, the man in red is finding the
:18:52. > :19:02.target with some quality punches. Both boxers, really feeling the pace
:19:02. > :19:02.
:19:02. > :19:11.here. It is Medzhidov who turned the tide, he is having the exchanges. --
:19:11. > :19:15.the better of the exchanges. Kuzmin, terrifically tired, increasingly
:19:15. > :19:22.ragged, leaning on to Medzhidov, who is trying to push off and get back
:19:22. > :19:28.to work at mid and long range. He lent to the right hand over the top
:19:28. > :19:31.again, Kuzmin is trying to boxes way back into the contest. Inside the
:19:31. > :19:37.closing stages of that contest, one is left with the impression that the
:19:37. > :19:41.man in red, the tournament number one seed, Medzhidov of Azerbaijan,
:19:41. > :19:48.has done enough to be crowned European champions to add to his
:19:48. > :19:57.world championship gold and Olympic bronze. Order to refit contest.
:19:57. > :20:01.Tough last round. He has done enough. Medzhidov of Azerbaijan, the
:20:01. > :20:05.tournament number one seed, the European ranked number three, the
:20:05. > :20:10.world ranked number three, has been crowned European championship gold
:20:10. > :20:20.medallist after a really hard-fought contest against Sir Guy Kuzmin of
:20:20. > :20:31.
:20:31. > :20:35.have been me! I have boxed the two finalists, and watching them box,
:20:35. > :20:40.could see their mistakes, what they were doing wrong, sitting here with
:20:40. > :20:44.a couch with a can of Pepsi! I am being judgemental, saying this is
:20:44. > :20:48.what they have got to do, but I feel, coming on from the games, I
:20:48. > :20:54.have come on a long way I would love to compete these guys again knowing
:20:54. > :20:59.I have beaten one and lost by a point to the others. Any other soft
:20:59. > :21:09.drink is just as acceptable! Lets see where all the medals have gone
:21:09. > :21:27.
:21:27. > :21:31.down as team GB in the middle table? There are some Scots boxers who are
:21:31. > :21:35.outside of the team and some Welsh boxes outside the team, and the
:21:35. > :21:39.whole team GB thing which is the Welsh, English and Scottish, and the
:21:39. > :21:43.ability for us to send three boxers from the home nations, that is all
:21:43. > :21:47.going to end by the next Olympics. And the sooner the better, because
:21:47. > :21:53.we are at an unfair advantage, that is why they are individual
:21:53. > :22:02.countries. How does the performance director view the team 's
:22:02. > :22:05.performance? It has been a long week. The boxers have performed
:22:05. > :22:10.really well, some really good performances here in Belarus, it has
:22:10. > :22:15.been a really tough tournament, they always are very difficult. Tough
:22:15. > :22:20.draws everywhere you look but the boxers have done fantastically.
:22:20. > :22:25.is all about a new generation, names like Joe Joyce, Jack Bateson, they
:22:25. > :22:30.have really performed. Lindsey of good performances, a lot of
:22:30. > :22:33.youngsters in the squad, but a great experience. A couple of them we
:22:34. > :22:37.brought for experienced and a few report with an outside chance of
:22:37. > :22:40.making a medal. We are pleased because the majority of the squad
:22:40. > :22:45.have performed really well out here. On another day we could be
:22:45. > :22:51.coming away with four or five medals. The highlight is Andrew
:22:51. > :22:54.Selby, what an achievement. Brilliant. He has led from the front
:22:54. > :23:00.out here, the whole squad has been looking up to him all week and he is
:23:00. > :23:04.just a class act, double European champion now which is unbelievable.
:23:04. > :23:09.For European medals on the spin, is world silver medallist, and I'm
:23:09. > :23:14.hoping it made up a bit of a disappointment of him leaving to the
:23:14. > :23:18.-- losing to the gold medallist in London. Result is three years away,
:23:18. > :23:26.there is no reason he cannot go there and left a gold-medal --
:23:26. > :23:29.Brazil is three years away. How has the scoring impacted your role?
:23:29. > :23:35.is tricky, because you have to look at the judges are looking for, so it
:23:35. > :23:39.is a work in progress, really. It will develop as it goes on and
:23:39. > :23:43.become clearer what they are looking for and what they know they are
:23:43. > :23:47.looking for. You are a realist, coming into the championships
:23:47. > :23:54.committed you are expected to go as well as it had done? It has been
:23:54. > :23:58.tough, it has been proved very difficult, I was quietly confident
:23:58. > :24:05.we could pinch two or three medals out here, thankfully we have won
:24:05. > :24:07.three medals. On another day we could have won 45. It is all
:24:07. > :24:12.positive, morale is good in the squad, they are all youngsters
:24:12. > :24:17.developing, they have not lost by much, they are all confident moving
:24:17. > :24:23.forward. The world Championships will be difficult in Kazakhstan in a
:24:23. > :24:26.few months, not long to prepare for that, but some real positives coming
:24:26. > :24:32.out of Belarus. We are really pleased and it has been a successful
:24:32. > :24:35.tournament. You agree with him? Absolutely
:24:35. > :24:41.forced up if we had come back with one bronze medal, post-Olympics,
:24:41. > :24:44.that would have been good. We haven't come away with one, we have
:24:44. > :24:48.come away with three. We have gone there with a decent squad,
:24:48. > :24:53.developing squad but there are a lot of guys that are not there. One of
:24:53. > :24:56.them is next to me, several of them have gone pro, let's say we went
:24:56. > :25:04.there with a full squad, we would have been close to the top of the
:25:04. > :25:10.table. That is just stating facts. Will they look back at the week is a
:25:10. > :25:14.job well done? I believe so. I think Rob was going in there with a desire
:25:14. > :25:17.to grab a couple of medals, which they achieved. Even if they come
:25:17. > :25:24.away post-Olympics with one bronze medal it is still an achievement, as
:25:24. > :25:29.a developing squad. It is all about getting experience for the world
:25:29. > :25:34.Championships in October? Definitely. All the lads would have
:25:34. > :25:39.gained a lot of experience. Most of the top boxers in the world come
:25:39. > :25:45.from Europe so to go into the European temperatures and have a
:25:45. > :25:50.medal is fantastic. So they will be full of confidence, not just
:25:50. > :25:54.forgetting that it is October. I am sure they will be all guns blazing
:25:54. > :26:01.as soon as they get back to the gym and working hard. Do you think all
:26:01. > :26:06.these new faces for the British and Irish, are they here to stay?
:26:06. > :26:10.Ultimately they are all looking ahead to Rio. I would be surprised
:26:10. > :26:15.if seven or eight of the boxers we featured today from Ireland,
:26:15. > :26:20.England, Scotland or Wales are not part of Rio. I am looking that far
:26:20. > :26:27.ahead. They are part of a successful, flourishing system which
:26:27. > :26:34.is a system that winter medals. -- wins medal. It is about competition
:26:34. > :26:37.after competition, big Josh might be there, the team is solid and strong.
:26:37. > :26:44.Will they be heading back to Sheffield with that bit of spice in
:26:44. > :26:48.their training now? They don't lose it. That is the thing. Whatever they
:26:48. > :26:54.have got, they are going to add to it, they will go out and train,
:26:54. > :27:01.sparring, big guys will be sparring with me, it will be a great
:27:02. > :27:06.atmosphere. What is next in your diary? I have the Europeans at the
:27:06. > :27:10.1st of July, I am going out there as reigning champion, I am hoping to
:27:10. > :27:18.win another gold and continue my rain! To be Britain cosmic Katie
:27:18. > :27:24.Taylor one-day! Hopefully!Do you stay amateur, do you go pro, are you
:27:24. > :27:29.anywhere near deciding? There are options to me right now. All I have
:27:29. > :27:33.got to do is look at everything. That is where I stand at the minute.
:27:33. > :27:38.I am keeping a great level of fitness, still in the gym training
:27:38. > :27:43.and sparring, I will be fighting soon. But you have got in Sheffield
:27:43. > :27:47.as an amateur is special. It is priceless what we have got up there.
:27:47. > :27:54.Regardless of what everyone is offering, I have to look at my
:27:54. > :27:59.development as a boxer. Much to look forward to, throwing it forward?
:27:59. > :28:05.have been covering this business for 30 years, this is the best for five
:28:05. > :28:09.years we have had and we will have an even better one coming up.
:28:09. > :28:13.a purple patch, we have to be excited for Ireland as well. They
:28:13. > :28:18.are doing what they are doing, and they are going to carry on, they
:28:18. > :28:22.will carry on winning medals. By the time it is the next Europeans and we
:28:22. > :28:30.go to Rio, will be the second or third top nation, that is not
:28:30. > :28:35.fantasy! Good luck to all of you, great to have you in. What a hugely
