:00:49. > :00:53.games and more medals to be claimed. We will start with cycling, but our

:00:54. > :00:56.main focus is swimming where England could strike a double gold in two of

:00:57. > :01:14.the shortest races. Liam Tancock and the first gold

:01:15. > :01:21.medal for England. Liam Tancock has got it, world champion again! Chris

:01:22. > :01:34.Walker-Hebborn is going to win the Commonwealth title. What ace Wim! --

:01:35. > :01:48.what a swim. Fran Halsall has got it. Fran Halsall from England is the

:01:49. > :01:48.Commonwealth champion of the women's freestyle. That is

:01:49. > :02:05.brilliant! It could well be a night for

:02:06. > :02:14.England. -- a good night. Here is what is coming up... She has been

:02:15. > :02:24.flying already, Fran Halsall will be looking to land her second gold

:02:25. > :02:27.medal in the 50 metres butterfly. He has already won 100 metres

:02:28. > :02:36.backstroke gold, Chris Walker-Hebborn is after a double.

:02:37. > :02:39.You cannot rule out his England team-mate and defending champion,

:02:40. > :02:45.Liam Tancock, a medal is in his sights. At the Velodrome, who will

:02:46. > :02:53.be crowned the King of keirin? You can find that out online. At the end

:02:54. > :03:02.of the night, gold will be decided in the rugby 7's and New Zealand are

:03:03. > :03:06.favourites to land a famous five. Here is how the evening looks, we

:03:07. > :03:10.will be heading to the Velodrome shortly for the final events in the

:03:11. > :03:15.track cycling and after that, we will be at the swimming pool for the

:03:16. > :03:21.finals. That will depend on the cycling and the timetable is kind,

:03:22. > :03:24.we will join the rugby 7's around 9:30 p.m., that is to come. Here is

:03:25. > :03:35.what has happened already. Athletics began this morning on the

:03:36. > :03:45.streets and there was a surprise in the men's marathon with Michael

:03:46. > :03:50.Shelley taking gold and Derek Hawkins from Scotland came ninth.

:03:51. > :03:59.Shortly after that, Flomena Cheyech Daniel won the women's marathon.

:04:00. > :04:03.Susan Partridge was the nearest finisher for the home nations

:04:04. > :04:10.insect. In shooting, there was a celebration for England as Charlotte

:04:11. > :04:17.Kerwood won her fourth gold medal before Steven Scott scored victory

:04:18. > :04:23.in the men's event. In the Velodrome, Sophie Thornhill and

:04:24. > :04:31.Helen Scott won their second Commonwealth gold in the Paris

:04:32. > :04:44.bought tandem time trial. Not that long ago in the absence of Mo Farah,

:04:45. > :04:49.this man won gold at Hampden Park. Laura Trott defied a kidney

:04:50. > :04:55.infection to win a gold medal in a points race against the Welsh and

:04:56. > :05:01.Scottish competitors. Later, Sir Chris Hoi, Ian Thorpe and Steven Way

:05:02. > :05:12.who finished 10th in the marathon will be joining me -- Chris Hoy.

:05:13. > :05:24.Stephen Rae give up smoking and lost weight to take part in the marathon

:05:25. > :05:35.-- map Wray. Bowles is available on the red button. We also have rugby

:05:36. > :05:43.7's. -- bowls. There is the lawn bowls. We will get it right

:05:44. > :05:50.eventually. As we have seen him already, let us see Jonathan and I

:05:51. > :06:02.am liking your spectacles. I will put mine on to. We will all wave at

:06:03. > :06:07.you! We have had a great four days. Just to reflect, on what was a

:06:08. > :06:13.brilliant performance by Laura Trott. She has not been 100%, she

:06:14. > :06:19.had a kidney infection. Little things can put you off your stride,

:06:20. > :06:24.but she has dealt with it well. She has determination and she showed it

:06:25. > :06:28.perfectly and tactically as well. Great to see three home nations on

:06:29. > :06:36.the podium. Disappointment for Eleanor Barker. They were both on 37

:06:37. > :06:40.points up the final line, but because Laura Trott was slightly

:06:41. > :06:46.ahead, that was how they decided the gold medal. But Barker did

:06:47. > :06:52.brilliantly. She is on such great form, it she can spread as well. It

:06:53. > :06:58.was great to hear the home crowd roar as Katie Archibald came

:06:59. > :07:01.through. We hear that about the Tour de France, the aggressive rider

:07:02. > :07:05.animates the race and Katie Archibald has been doing that and

:07:06. > :07:10.finally she got out reward. She deserves it. Early in the race, I'd

:07:11. > :07:15.thought she was trying to pick up points wherever she could, but

:07:16. > :07:21.missing out on winning. I thought that might count against, but she

:07:22. > :07:25.kept on trying. She has got guts. We thought she would have a chance of

:07:26. > :07:40.an individual medal and it is good she achieved that. The other

:07:41. > :07:45.Scottish medal we were cheering, but Aileen McGlynn did well. She was

:07:46. > :07:53.riding well, but not well enough in their eyes. It was good, not good

:07:54. > :08:00.enough for gold medal, but she will be delighted to go so close. On a

:08:01. > :08:06.disappointing note, the men's keirin still to come, Jason Kenny, won the

:08:07. > :08:12.world title couple of years ago, outstanding, but he struggled and

:08:13. > :08:18.got knocked out. He did, he showed a bit of city after the team sprint.

:08:19. > :08:29.The New Zealand contenders looked good. It is disappointing not to see

:08:30. > :08:39.a whole nation rider in the final. -- home nation. Two Australians and

:08:40. > :08:44.Malaysia rider. We saw from Josiah Ng a little flick which almost cost

:08:45. > :08:54.the pile-up, exciting but a little bit naughty. Everyone knows about

:08:55. > :09:08.Mark Cavendish, but 68 is a star. In the points raised yesterday, he was

:09:09. > :09:14.run out of it -- map Peter Kennaugh. He was outmanoeuvred by the New

:09:15. > :09:23.Zealand contenders. A few other riders to look out for, 21-macro, he

:09:24. > :09:33.is in it. A different type of race for him -- Ed Clancy. He competes in

:09:34. > :09:43.endurance events. He also has a certain amount of sprint capability.

:09:44. > :09:47.He has a lot of speed and power. If he can hang in there, there is a

:09:48. > :09:58.good chance we could see him on the podium. We can head out onto the

:09:59. > :10:11.track. Rob Hayles and Simon Brotherton are standing by. Evan

:10:12. > :10:15.Oliphant has some company there. So far, six riders have gained a lap on

:10:16. > :10:26.the rest of the field, the Australian, the Canadian, Mark

:10:27. > :10:38.Christian, Martyn Irvine and Shane Archbold. We have four more riders

:10:39. > :10:51.trying to take a lap. We can see the rider from the Isle of Man. Owen

:10:52. > :10:57.Doull is from Wales. Evan Oliphant from Scotland was in that group.

:10:58. > :11:02.Dropping back a bit. Three riders out in front, trying to gain a lap.

:11:03. > :11:08.They need to, because six riders have taken the lap. It is partly

:11:09. > :11:19.about the flow of the race and the timing when you try to game that lap

:11:20. > :11:24.if you do attack, trying to catch the peloton when they are not at

:11:25. > :11:31.full speed. The kind of riders who are involved, like Peter Kennaugh,

:11:32. > :11:34.they are flat out, trying to chase them down. New Zealand is doing all

:11:35. > :11:43.the damage at the front of the peloton. This is a dangerous move.

:11:44. > :11:47.Jonathan Mould there, Peter Kennaugh as well. They all have a good sprint

:11:48. > :11:54.and New Zealand know that. They need to protect their rider. We have had

:11:55. > :12:01.some superb track racing, not quite finished yet, the finals of the

:12:02. > :12:09.men's keirin still to come. We have 36 laps left in this event. The

:12:10. > :12:31.men's 15km mass start. One of the big losers at the moment is Glenn

:12:32. > :12:51.Oshea. -- scratch race. This rider is trying to go clear on his own,

:12:52. > :13:06.Chris Walker-Hebborn from Scotland. -- Mark Stewart. We are into the

:13:07. > :13:17.last 33 laps on the rise. Glenn Oshea there, Mark Christian,

:13:18. > :13:19.Jonathan Mould from Wales. Martyn Irvine is losing his lap, he has

:13:20. > :13:21.half a lap down. He is Irvine is losing his lap, he has

:13:22. > :13:26.half a lap down. He starting to struggle. I do not think he is

:13:27. > :13:31.likely to be a factor, he is running out of gas. He is going slowly

:13:32. > :13:42.around the bottom of the track as the peloton hurtle past us. Forward

:13:43. > :13:49.comes Mark Stewart from Scotland. There is James McCallum. Luke

:13:50. > :13:57.Davidson from Australia has pulled out. This is really a fast race.

:13:58. > :14:09.That is! Is a world champion, not in this events -- Luke Davidson. Mark

:14:10. > :14:16.Stewart -- Mark Stewart is still pushing on. There he is, with the

:14:17. > :14:22.yellow shoes on. Peloton are resisting. They are strung out.

:14:23. > :14:28.There is Mark Stewart. -- the peloton. He is starting to struggle.

:14:29. > :14:34.It is so difficult when you are on your own, the speed that the peloton

:14:35. > :14:39.have been riding stop Ed Clancy takes it up for England. When you

:14:40. > :14:52.make these breakaways, you can get stuck in no man's land. You really

:14:53. > :15:04.can. He is riding through quicksand. The Scottish rider, Evan Oliphant

:15:05. > :15:19.doing a bit of blocking. It is Peter Kennaugh there. We just saw Jonathan

:15:20. > :15:31.Mould rolling around the bottom of the track. He was one of the riders

:15:32. > :15:35.that took the lap. Stewart is back with everybody else. Riding on the

:15:36. > :15:46.front. Harrison, for Wales. The 22-year-old. He is gritting his

:15:47. > :15:49.teeth. Trying to make a break but he's being chased down at the moment

:15:50. > :16:01.by Alex Edmondson, the world pursuit champion. Coming to the front of the

:16:02. > :16:07.race. Tom Scully. A little over 20 laps remaining. Here is Martyn

:16:08. > :16:12.Irvine. He will not be in the mix for the medals. His race is turning

:16:13. > :16:16.out to be the same as eight years ago. Five riders have lapped the

:16:17. > :16:20.field. It will be a big lead out with all of their team-mates. They

:16:21. > :16:25.will try and set themselves up, with 21 laps left. It is hard to see

:16:26. > :16:30.anybody else trying to gain. He has hanged on. Looks like he was

:16:31. > :16:35.struggling but after gaining earlier on, he is still in that leading

:16:36. > :16:40.group. Hanging off the back of the Palette on at times. But he has

:16:41. > :16:47.managed to make sure that he has not lost that lap that he gained

:16:48. > :16:56.earlier. He is not known as yo-yo for nothing. Australia leading the

:16:57. > :17:03.way with 19 laps left. Over the line this time. Leading them through,

:17:04. > :17:06.Alex Edmondson. He is looking for what would be his third medal this

:17:07. > :17:11.week. Ed Clancy looking around at the front in the red and white.

:17:12. > :17:16.Martyn Irvine in that bright crash helmet, a brief turn at the front.

:17:17. > :17:24.Mark Stewart coming through. The Welshman on his wheel. He has done

:17:25. > :17:29.his work and he is out. Tim Olyphant is dropping out of the race. Getting

:17:30. > :17:33.to the closing stages. Tom Scully, winner of the points race is right

:17:34. > :17:40.onto his wheel. Though Angel has finished twice forth in events this

:17:41. > :17:44.year. The white hat and the black stripe, second place with the Isle

:17:45. > :17:49.of Man in that group. One lap down but a rider on his wheel, Mark

:17:50. > :17:53.Christian, he has taken a lap from that group. It will be about Mark

:17:54. > :18:01.Christian. Peter Kennaugh will be the leader. Mark Christian is not

:18:02. > :18:11.leaving that wheel. Whatsoever. Here is an track -- an attack. Coming

:18:12. > :18:17.from the Welshman once again. He is one lap down. He will not figure

:18:18. > :18:23.here. Gaining quite a lot of ground very quickly. Trying to animate the

:18:24. > :18:27.racing in the closing stages. Try to get that lap back. It will be a big

:18:28. > :18:33.task for him to do that with 14 left. The field will be winding up

:18:34. > :18:37.towards the end. Tom Scully, second on the track as you look at the

:18:38. > :18:42.riders. Stewart getting involved. And up to the front. And he is going

:18:43. > :18:46.through with 13 lead. Scully in second place. Peter Kennaugh on the

:18:47. > :18:54.front with Mark Christian, glued to the back wheel. He has done a fairly

:18:55. > :18:58.decent sprint. Winning a Commonwealth Games bronze medal

:18:59. > :19:05.before four years ago. He will have one of the best lead outs on the

:19:06. > :19:08.track. They have got another rider here, Joe Kelly, looking to get

:19:09. > :19:15.involved and I am pretty sure he will. All bunched up. Out in front

:19:16. > :19:20.on his own but he's not one of the leading riders in the race.

:19:21. > :19:25.Christian and Archibald are the leading riders. We were talking

:19:26. > :19:28.about Martyn Irvine and how he thought that he had lost ground and

:19:29. > :19:37.lost that lap earlier and the computer has caught up. Martyn

:19:38. > :19:43.Irvine has lost that lap indeed. Looked like he was losing touch in

:19:44. > :19:50.the race. Leno Shea, Christian, Archibald, they are a lap up on

:19:51. > :19:56.everybody else. -- Glenn O'Shea. Up in front on his own at this moment

:19:57. > :20:00.in time. He is like most of the rest of the riders out on the track,

:20:01. > :20:06.actually one lap down on the four of them. Even if he took this with

:20:07. > :20:09.eight laps left to go. There is no way that he would recover and get

:20:10. > :20:18.himself back in front and test the medals. Just getting their

:20:19. > :20:29.selections right. Just starting to get themselves in position. 7.5 laps

:20:30. > :20:35.left. Australia getting themselves together. Now, Martyn Irvine. Yet

:20:36. > :20:39.into the front again. One lap down. He will not figure in the medals.

:20:40. > :20:46.Looks like Martyn Irvine has found his fourth, is the wind. It was a

:20:47. > :20:51.shame he lost that lap in the middle because he likes to launch himself

:20:52. > :20:54.out front like this. He has been really good in the scratch racing

:20:55. > :20:59.world Championships in the last couple of years, winning in 2013,

:21:00. > :21:08.silver medal in Columbia back in February. The leader is about to be

:21:09. > :21:11.gobbled up by the rest, bearing down on him, led by Tom Scully, the gold

:21:12. > :21:17.medallist 24 hours ago in the points race. It is New Zealand leading out

:21:18. > :21:23.but coming over the top, Peter Kennaugh. He is up alongside. It

:21:24. > :21:28.will be a drag race between the Isle of Man had New Zealand. He is doing

:21:29. > :21:35.a great job for Mark Christian and New Zealand trying to do the same

:21:36. > :21:41.for Shane Archbold. Tom Scully... Leading the way at the moment. He is

:21:42. > :21:47.getting the lead from Tom Scully. Just losing the wheel a little bit,

:21:48. > :21:51.Mark Christian at the moment. Peter Kennaugh has made his move. It is up

:21:52. > :21:57.to Mark Christian. The lead is now coming from Tom Scully. Such a

:21:58. > :22:03.strong one from the front. A long lead out and a lot to do. And here

:22:04. > :22:06.we go, the bell. He is in pole position. Glenn O'Shea is right on

:22:07. > :22:12.his wheel. Mark Christian four at the moment. He is being chased by

:22:13. > :22:15.Glenn O'Shea all the way. Mark Christian, third. Looked like he

:22:16. > :22:21.might be overhauled. Over the line, Commonwealth champion, Shane

:22:22. > :22:25.Archbold from New Zealand. One of the riders gaining one lap earlier

:22:26. > :22:29.in the race. He stayed strong and focused. His team did a great job.

:22:30. > :22:35.None more so than Tom Scully, winning gold 24 hours ago. Shane

:22:36. > :22:40.Archbold did a lot of work for Tom Scully yesterday and that is more

:22:41. > :22:43.than repaid. Shane Archbold wins in the grand style, crossing the line

:22:44. > :22:46.in first place at the end of a thrilling sprint at the end of the

:22:47. > :22:55.scratch race final. Gold, New Zealand. Glenn O'Shea from Australia

:22:56. > :22:58.second place. And third will be the Canadian. And Mark Christian by my

:22:59. > :23:04.reckoning, just nudged out, fourth place. We can see down the back

:23:05. > :23:09.straight, Scully, getting his lead out. It was up to Shane Archibald to

:23:10. > :23:13.get the lead out here. Taking up that sprint with Glenn O'Shea on his

:23:14. > :23:17.wheel. Mark Christian had to do an awful lot of work. He had a

:23:18. > :23:21.fantastic lead out there with a couple of laps left. But running out

:23:22. > :23:27.of legs and getting slightly out opposition. Going through the bell,

:23:28. > :23:32.on the other side, in the wind. Finally his legs dropped off. And

:23:33. > :23:38.the Canadian was able to steal the bronze medal from under his nose. A

:23:39. > :23:42.first title for Shane Archbold. At global level. He was a silver

:23:43. > :23:48.medallist in the world Championships three years ago. But now he is the

:23:49. > :23:51.Commonwealth champion. Not surprisingly, looking pretty

:23:52. > :23:55.pleased. Gold, New Zealand. And for Shane Archbold. Leno shape,

:23:56. > :24:02.three-time champion himself from Australia, with the silver medal. --

:24:03. > :24:05.Glenn O'Shea. And the Canadian with the bronze. New Zealand are winning

:24:06. > :24:20.a third gold of these games. STUDIO: Chris and Sarah, you cannot

:24:21. > :24:26.deny that both racers, it was just a drama the whole way through. Not

:24:27. > :24:30.that easy to follow the race. It is easier in the stadium. On television

:24:31. > :24:35.trying to follow what is happening in the context of everything, he

:24:36. > :24:40.attempted to unlatch himself and there is a battle within a battle.

:24:41. > :24:48.For riders, one lap up and all coming down to the final sprint. And

:24:49. > :24:52.then the lead out. It is nice to see how Peter, after losing one lap

:24:53. > :24:56.earlier on hand a chance of winning, reverting tactics and becoming a

:24:57. > :25:03.team player, rather than the main guy, with Mark Christian.

:25:04. > :25:06.Absolutely. When you are in a team like that and somebody has an

:25:07. > :25:11.advantage that you would like to have had for yourself, put your ego

:25:12. > :25:18.away and play the team role and that is what he did. New Zealand have had

:25:19. > :25:22.a decent Commonwealth Games. It has been great. Talking about the team,

:25:23. > :25:28.the Kiwis rooting for each other as well. His team-mate Eric himself on

:25:29. > :25:39.the front to keep the pace up. -- Erik himself. -- was dairying

:25:40. > :25:45.himself. -- was busying himself. Matt Kieron will be on the red

:25:46. > :25:53.button after seven o'clock. No British interest unfortunately in

:25:54. > :26:07.that final. A very good race by Glenn O'Shea, taking silver. And the

:26:08. > :26:11.Canadian with the bronze. They have had a reasonable game and they will

:26:12. > :26:19.be glad, Canada, to get the bronze medal. It is tough on the track. A

:26:20. > :26:24.couple of fourth places, though Wayne Gould, giving his best but not

:26:25. > :26:32.quite getting there. It is difficult to be able to get back on terms.

:26:33. > :26:35.Mark Christian coming forth. He thought he could get into the medals

:26:36. > :26:43.at the end of the race but sadly could not. We can look back at the

:26:44. > :26:50.closing stages once again that race. Peter had done his best. But losing

:26:51. > :26:55.his way. The Kiwis managed to break that line, getting in between him

:26:56. > :26:59.and Mark Christian. Mark Christian hanging in the back here. He is on

:27:00. > :27:03.his wheel. He has been sheltered for a good few laps. I thought the

:27:04. > :27:11.Aussie would potentially come off with a little flick from the kiwi.

:27:12. > :27:22.It was nothing vicious. Going back to the early stages, when Peter lost

:27:23. > :27:28.a lap, a bit of a surprise, Sarah? A bit of a surprise. You do not

:27:29. > :27:34.sometimes know what has happened. Look at that scratch race yesterday.

:27:35. > :27:37.It has taken more out of him than he thought as well. Mark Christian was

:27:38. > :27:42.in a position to take on the lead and keep the other man in the race.

:27:43. > :27:47.Not enough at the end. -- the Isle of Man in the race. Disappointing

:27:48. > :27:52.from the men's point of view but a step in the right direction after

:27:53. > :27:58.last year. It is about building and gaining momentum and confidence. He

:27:59. > :28:04.showed himself very well on the sprint, Kenny. The team pursuit

:28:05. > :28:10.girls, and the bunch races, they did very well has well and it is good to

:28:11. > :28:13.see. Back to Jill Douglas. Many congratulations. You helped Tom

:28:14. > :28:19.Scully last night in that win and he gave you a great lead here. That is

:28:20. > :28:22.how good team-mates work. You put it on the line for them and you might

:28:23. > :28:28.have to wait ten years to get it back. I only had to wait 24 hours.

:28:29. > :28:33.We have been training for this our whole lives. And to get a double

:28:34. > :28:38.like that is amazing. And a great tussle with the Isle of Man once

:28:39. > :28:41.again. They are very good and strong opponents. Hands off to them. Some

:28:42. > :28:48.things did not go their way. We have ended up winning. We have raced to

:28:49. > :28:52.win. We did not break the rules in doing so. We hope for a clean fight

:28:53. > :28:56.and it was a perfect race and cannot ask for anything better. A

:28:57. > :29:02.remarkable game for New Zealand. You have sent a strong message with four

:29:03. > :29:08.gold medals. I think there was a fourth one, yes. Yes, Sam Webster.

:29:09. > :29:12.The team sprint. And Scully last night. We hope it is not over for

:29:13. > :29:14.New Zealand. We have got a good chance coming up with the keirin.

:29:15. > :29:32.Thank you very much. athlete. The keirin final will be on

:29:33. > :29:37.the red button. Final thoughts? I thought it was going to be great and

:29:38. > :29:40.it exceeded expectations. The home nations did well, great to see

:29:41. > :29:47.Scotland doing well from a personal point of view. I think Katie

:29:48. > :29:55.Archibald was fantastic today. It was great to see the para- cycling

:29:56. > :29:59.events. It was the first time. Great to see Helen Scott and Sophie

:30:00. > :30:07.Thornhill do the double like Craig Maclean and Neil Fachie. I hope it

:30:08. > :30:08.happens again. Thank you very much. The men House

:30:09. > :30:13.happens again. Thank you very much. The keirin is on the red button. For

:30:14. > :30:22.now, we rejoined the swimming. Welcome to the swimming. We have a

:30:23. > :30:30.new friend with us. This is our mini mascot. Let us look ahead to what

:30:31. > :30:36.could be a massive night in the swimming pool, a chance for three

:30:37. > :30:42.gold medals for England. The hottest favourite being Fran Halsall. She

:30:43. > :30:50.had a great freestyle yesterday. To back it up with the 50 metres

:30:51. > :30:57.freestyle, in such a QuickTime, it is saved to say she might be on her

:30:58. > :31:01.own at the front. She is probably after the time as well. That was

:31:02. > :31:05.significant last night. Not just the medal, but being the fastest ever a

:31:06. > :31:15.woman. She has a difficult programme. She has got the semifinal

:31:16. > :31:21.first against the Campbell sisters. Coming in here, the reigning

:31:22. > :31:28.champion, she was leaps and bounds ahead, I will be surprised if she

:31:29. > :31:36.does not wing -- win the 50 meter fly. She seems to have a team of

:31:37. > :31:43.people around her about works and sometimes as an athlete, you need to

:31:44. > :31:50.take time to find the right people, the right training people. She has

:31:51. > :32:08.been working a lot on her physical strength and she has been making

:32:09. > :32:12.sure she does not get too excited. The final of the 50 metres

:32:13. > :32:19.freestyle. Fran Halsall bearer. Some bigger Australians around her. --

:32:20. > :32:27.there. She has had a good start. Fast but powerful. There is Cate

:32:28. > :32:32.Campbell. But it looks like Fran Halsall. She is going well. It will

:32:33. > :32:41.be tight. She might have it. Yes, she does! 23.96. Fran Halsall is the

:32:42. > :32:52.Commonwealth champion. A massive shock. That is brilliant.

:32:53. > :32:57.Fantastic. She matched Cate Campbell stroke for stroke. It will not be

:32:58. > :33:03.expected by the Campbell sisters. She said in an interview, Bronte

:33:04. > :33:09.Campbell, called her a pocket rocket. She has done a job on them

:33:10. > :33:14.here. It was a fingertip touch, but it was the difference between silver

:33:15. > :33:22.and gold. Fran Halsall is a Commonwealth champion. She is the

:33:23. > :33:30.hot favourite in the 50 fly. Her final is just after nine o'clock.

:33:31. > :33:34.Just before that, we have Chris Walker-Hebborn and Liam Tancock in

:33:35. > :33:40.the 50 meter backstroke final. Liam Tancock is the defending champion.

:33:41. > :33:48.He is the world record-holder. That was done in the rubber suit. The

:33:49. > :33:53.suits have changed. It is cool bodysuits back to shorts. Chris

:33:54. > :34:00.Walker-Hebborn has the confidence, nothing to lose. This is the and for

:34:01. > :34:09.a Liam Tancock. He has never really lost this event. -- this is the best

:34:10. > :34:19.event for a Liam Tancock. It is going to be tight. Ben Treffers also

:34:20. > :34:24.has a chance. It is going to come down to a fingertip touch again.

:34:25. > :34:30.Chris Walker-Hebborn has the advantage of being amazingly tall,

:34:31. > :34:36.so when he stretches back, it is a long reach. All those boys are quite

:34:37. > :34:41.big, especially in the sprinting world. They all seem to be long and

:34:42. > :34:46.lame compared to the rest of the events, but Chris Walker-Hebborn

:34:47. > :34:52.said yesterday that he had something up his sleeve for the final. I do

:34:53. > :35:00.not know if we will see that, but I certainly hope so. I have had lots

:35:01. > :35:09.of questions asking why England are swimming in Bray caps, there are

:35:10. > :35:14.hard to identify? -- grey. Wales are in white and red. So many countries

:35:15. > :35:20.have similar colours, I think that is their way of identifying

:35:21. > :35:37.themselves. It would make it easier if you had the fly. -- flag. It

:35:38. > :35:50.cannot be too big. The other gold medal hope, but the fastest

:35:51. > :36:06.qualifier, is 79-macro. She has had a great week -- Matt Siobhan Marie

:36:07. > :36:12.O'Connor. She is up against Al Smith, the defending champion, that

:36:13. > :36:20.is difficult. It will be a great final -- Alicia Coutts. You can see

:36:21. > :36:30.the countdown going on. There is the start list by the first of our

:36:31. > :36:36.finals. -- for the first. So Hilary Caldwell is the fastest qualifier.

:36:37. > :36:44.She was a bronze medallist at the World Championships. Maddie Wilson

:36:45. > :36:48.is the Commonwealth record-holder. It would be great to see Elizabeth

:36:49. > :37:08.Simmons back on the medal podium. It has been a while. -- Elizabeth

:37:09. > :37:17.Simmonds. It would be nice to see her on the podium. The crowd are

:37:18. > :37:29.getting whipped up. First out is Lauren Quigley. She is from England.

:37:30. > :37:36.Sinead Russell, the third Canadian in the final. Seven that the World

:37:37. > :37:56.Championships. The track was seven at the World Championships. 31-macro

:37:57. > :38:19.from Canada. -- Matt three. Here is Maddie Wilson. -- Madi Wilson. Here

:38:20. > :38:26.is Belinda Hocking. She is on paper it the fastest. The Canadian is

:38:27. > :38:48.vast. That Michael is the fastest -- fast. -- is the fastest. The fastest

:38:49. > :38:57.qualifier for this final. There is Hilary Caldwell. The World

:38:58. > :39:10.Championship bronze medallist. There is Hilary Caldwell. Elizabeth

:39:11. > :39:16.Simmonds is in Lane 5. I am looking forward to this, it is wide open. We

:39:17. > :39:18.have not yet forward to this, it is wide open. We

:39:19. > :39:39.have seen these ladies firing on the backstroke. We have not seen them

:39:40. > :39:49.really open up yet. So, the final of the backstroke is underway. A good

:39:50. > :40:00.start from Lauren Quigley. Another good start from 24. -- Emily

:40:01. > :40:08.Seebohm. Emily Seebohm will be a threat. Perry Caldwell will come

:40:09. > :40:20.back quickly, as does Elizabeth Simmonds. -- Hillary called well. --

:40:21. > :40:22.Hilary Caldwell. Right at the top,
