:00:00. > :00:00.the last time check, now he is six seconds the other way. It does not

:00:00. > :00:13.bode well for Dowsett. I am surprised about that. Yes, Dennis is

:00:14. > :00:21.firing on all sinners. -- firing on all cylinders. The ride in fourth,

:00:22. > :00:28.Jesse Sergent of New Zealand, 38 seconds back. Suddenly, it is clear

:00:29. > :00:34.who is in this for the medals. It has gone from 76 in the last time

:00:35. > :00:37.check, now we are back to three riders contesting this. That middle

:00:38. > :00:43.section has cracked the field and shown how it is who will be vying

:00:44. > :00:48.for a podium spot. Every second you can gain on a corner, sprinting down

:00:49. > :00:55.towards the city centre, could make all the difference for those three.

:00:56. > :01:00.I would say that Thomas is heading for at least a second place here

:01:01. > :01:04.because Dowsett faded over that middle section which we were not

:01:05. > :01:08.really expecting. We may pull something back on the fast downhill

:01:09. > :01:15.run to the park here but Thomas is still looking strong. It is between

:01:16. > :01:28.those three. Dennis is yet to have his bad patch. If that comes, he

:01:29. > :01:33.could also be overhauled. He has not quite gone through yet, David

:01:34. > :01:37.Millar. He is still in ninth position overall. Over a minute out

:01:38. > :01:46.of the game now so it is between these three. Thomas is the first of

:01:47. > :01:57.the contenders to get through the 32 K check. 38.37 is the time to beat.

:01:58. > :02:08.That 32 kilometre check is on the way back in. They will go straight

:02:09. > :02:14.back on towards town. That is an aerial shot of Dennis. Still looking

:02:15. > :02:23.pretty good. He is working hard, the gear tends to get bigger. It is a

:02:24. > :02:30.good part of the Kia -- of the course to dig deep. If you are going

:02:31. > :02:38.to start dying away, this is the right to rain. A wet morning has

:02:39. > :02:43.turned into a lovely sunny afternoon for this meant's time trial. -- the

:02:44. > :02:49.right to rain. If he can get over this and he gets a macro rest, he

:02:50. > :03:01.will drive hard. -- a small rest. This will be a close race. It would

:03:02. > :03:06.just be a short rest, nothing more. Geraint Thomas, the fastest time so

:03:07. > :03:13.far. Dennis had the advantage at the last time check. The best part of

:03:14. > :03:22.six seconds ahead. He is starting to suffer now. It is going to be very

:03:23. > :03:29.close. Thomas has eaten into it. Geraint Thomas is not out of this.

:03:30. > :03:31.He has eaten into it by a couple of seconds. Scraping away.

:03:32. > :03:35.He has eaten into it by a couple of Thomas is great on the final couple

:03:36. > :03:44.of corners. This will go down to the wire. What a fantastically close

:03:45. > :03:51.competition. At the first time check, Thomas was seven seconds from

:03:52. > :04:01.the pace. He was ahead of Dennis. He was behind Dennis at the next check

:04:02. > :04:05.by three seconds. Then he moved to within two microseconds. It is so

:04:06. > :04:14.close between these riders now. This is Geraint Thomas coming back into

:04:15. > :04:18.the centre of Glasgow. He has a left-hand turn and he will head

:04:19. > :04:24.towards Glasgow Green. Can he gain seconds on these corners? It is not

:04:25. > :04:29.over yet for him. The chance of a Gold medal which would be the third

:04:30. > :04:35.only macro by a Welsh cyclist in the Commonwealth Games, the chance has

:04:36. > :04:41.not gone yet. Attitude is everything in these closing kilometres. Who

:04:42. > :04:45.wants it the most? They are all close to the Gold medal. In the

:04:46. > :04:52.final corners, you have to select gears carefully. Stay on top of it.

:04:53. > :04:59.He wants it the most? Coming towards the finish, the fastest time has

:05:00. > :05:04.been set by Marcus Christie of Northern Ireland. The big boys are

:05:05. > :05:11.coming in now in Svein Tuft is one of them. We are about to see a new

:05:12. > :05:19.fastest time -- in Svein Tuft. The fastest time has been set by Steve

:05:20. > :05:25.Cummings. Svein Tuft, he is set to beat the time of Steve Cummings. The

:05:26. > :05:33.Canadian is top of the leaderboard by 49 seconds but he will not read

:05:34. > :05:42.for long. A good strong ride by him. The battle on the road is between

:05:43. > :05:47.these riders. Alex Dowsett looks a lot smoother, like he has recovered

:05:48. > :05:55.slightly. The fastest through this next time check is Rohan Dennis, at

:05:56. > :06:02.32 kilometres. Geraint Thomas is for microseconds lower. Alex Dowsett is

:06:03. > :06:07.starting to dig in now, they are all suffering but who can suffer the

:06:08. > :06:11.fastest? He is shifting around on the saddle, we have not seen that

:06:12. > :06:15.yet. Still in contention but not as smooth as he was earlier. That was a

:06:16. > :06:20.knowing look on your face as you looked at Alex Dowsett. You will

:06:21. > :06:26.know what he is going through. He would just want it to be over. It is

:06:27. > :06:30.Geraint Thomas for Wales. One big sprints towards the line. Hoping,

:06:31. > :06:40.just hoping it might be a sprints to fix three. -- is rent. Surely it is

:06:41. > :06:49.a sprints to a medal -- ace rent. Excellent ride from the Welshman. Up

:06:50. > :06:52.to the line, 47 minutes, 55 seconds, the new fastest time for Geraint

:06:53. > :07:01.Thomas. He will have to sit and wait to find out if it is enough. There

:07:02. > :07:08.was passion. When you see a sprint like that, you can see he

:07:09. > :07:12.desperately wants it. In third position now at the final check is

:07:13. > :07:22.Alex Dowsett so he has it all to do. He is in the bronze medal position.

:07:23. > :07:28.He is in arrears by one second. So Rohan Dennis leading the way at the

:07:29. > :07:32.last checkpoint. Thomas is second, in the silver medal position. Just

:07:33. > :07:41.over five seconds separating the top three. Jesse Sergent now out of the

:07:42. > :07:46.running for a medal. Amazing how it has changed around. It did that in

:07:47. > :07:52.the women's event as well. Its changes and changes. They have also

:07:53. > :07:57.that down this final section. This is Jesse Sergent, from New Zealand.

:07:58. > :08:03.Heading on towards the finishing area. He has got to go around

:08:04. > :08:09.Glasgow Green and along the banks of the River Clyde. And he will come at

:08:10. > :08:20.the final 250 metres to the finishing line. -- he will, up to

:08:21. > :08:24.the final. --, opt. He has two big a job to get onto the podium. He is

:08:25. > :08:37.being challenged for the fourth position. They are coming in all the

:08:38. > :08:47.time. All eyes and nose at the top. Bailey, from Guernsey. -- all eyes

:08:48. > :08:53.are on those. Now we are back with Rohan Dennis. He is really labouring

:08:54. > :09:01.now. He has hardly anything left. They have all looked the same way.

:09:02. > :09:07.He is wavering in it. -- a bit. The stiff breeze could be affecting him.

:09:08. > :09:12.David Millar is way off the pace. Disappointment for David Millar

:09:13. > :09:21.today. Still cheered by everybody at the roadside. 1.75 minutes down.

:09:22. > :09:29.Jesse Sergent starts to sprint here. Geraint Thomas has the time to beat.

:09:30. > :09:37.Jesse Sergent digging deeper. Just for the final metres. And it is a

:09:38. > :09:42.good ride. It is, he has picked up over this final section. Not what I

:09:43. > :09:49.expected. He has got to come around the park but it is still a strong

:09:50. > :09:56.ride. 45 seconds after they get to the park. He is further away than I

:09:57. > :10:00.thought he was, Jesse Sergent. He is now coming into the finishing

:10:01. > :10:10.straight. Sweeping curve, he took that well. Excellent technique.

:10:11. > :10:14.Quick, strong. Technically good. He is in fine form and it has been an

:10:15. > :10:18.excellent lover macro 460 macro today, of New Zealand, but it will

:10:19. > :10:27.not be quite good enough -- an excellent ride by Jesse Sergent. He

:10:28. > :10:35.will be pushed down a place, he will lose a position to Svein Tuft. Back

:10:36. > :10:43.in the closing stages with Rohan Dennis. Svein Tuft in silver medal

:10:44. > :10:50.position. Thomas has done his job, it is about these two now. Alex

:10:51. > :10:54.Dowsett and Rohan Dennis. What can they do? Nothing more the Welshman

:10:55. > :11:01.can do except see what happens. He has just got to wait and see. Dennis

:11:02. > :11:08.has had a tough time over this final section. He has driven hard. The

:11:09. > :11:13.gear has gone up now as he sets himself up for this right-hand turn.

:11:14. > :11:22.Narrow section, easy to make a mistake. He is fighting. Really

:11:23. > :11:30.showing the fatigue. What has he got left? For the last minute or so.

:11:31. > :11:36.Rohan Dennis. Can he keep his nose in front as it has been for a little

:11:37. > :11:41.while? Geraint Thomas. He is just waiting. At least he can relax in

:11:42. > :11:47.the knowledge he has done a superb ride and he could not have done

:11:48. > :11:54.more. That is the Australian camp. Anxious moments for Wales and for

:11:55. > :11:59.Geraint Thomas. I think it is still going to be close. I think Dennis is

:12:00. > :12:08.doing a ride here. He has finished well. He is heading towards the two

:12:09. > :12:15.right-hand bends. It is around 40, 45 seconds. I think Dennis will do

:12:16. > :12:21.it but it will be close and it could come down to the sprint. Excellent

:12:22. > :12:26.finish to the women's raise and an excellent finish to the man's raise.

:12:27. > :12:31.Rohan Dennis is one of only two people who can deny Geraint Thomas

:12:32. > :12:37.the Gold medal for Wales. It will be very close but Dennis might just

:12:38. > :12:41.about make it. Towards the line, he keeps that advantage over Geraint

:12:42. > :12:46.Thomas. And Dennis crosses the line. 47.51. Geraint Thomas into the

:12:47. > :12:52.silver medal position. Ennis will have to wait until Alex Dowsett

:12:53. > :12:59.crosses the line to find out if that is good enough for Gold. Three

:13:00. > :13:04.quarters of an hour of hard work and four seconds in it, and only this

:13:05. > :13:11.man can spoil the party. It will come down to the corners. It was so

:13:12. > :13:26.close at the less cheque. Dashed checkpoint. -- checkpoint. Can he

:13:27. > :13:31.find five seconds from somewhere in a relatively short space of time? We

:13:32. > :13:38.have rarely seen anybody dig as deep as Rohan Dennis just did. He was

:13:39. > :13:42.trying so hard. Alex Dowsett has his work cut out. He always looks smooth

:13:43. > :13:50.and collected but he lost time over the last two chat points. Can he

:13:51. > :13:56.finish strongly? -- checkpoints. I do not think he can. He will be

:13:57. > :14:03.outside here. It will be close. He will fight to the line. It is going

:14:04. > :14:07.to be close. It might not be close enough for Alex Dowsett. He has to

:14:08. > :14:16.lay it on the line around the park at Glasgow Green. Look at his face!

:14:17. > :14:21.Alex Dowsett. Straining in pursuit of Gold. Trying to go one better

:14:22. > :14:25.than in Delhi. Four years ago when he was beaten by David Millar. In

:14:26. > :14:32.the blistering heat on that jewel carriageway. He was heavy on the

:14:33. > :14:36.brakes on that corner. And -- that can cost you seconds. He needs every

:14:37. > :14:42.bit here. Round the finishing circuit. It is going to be close. It

:14:43. > :14:47.is going to be close. A sprint for the line, with Alex Dowsett and

:14:48. > :14:53.Rohan Dennis. He has finished strongly. We said this last downhill

:14:54. > :14:59.section would suit him at than anybody else but he has not taken

:15:00. > :15:05.advantage of that style to poll it back. What a finish this could be.

:15:06. > :15:12.He is definitely within a chance of the Gold medal. It is going to come

:15:13. > :15:17.down to this sprint. Can he do it or will Gold go to Australia? 250

:15:18. > :15:23.metres to go. Alex Dowsett grits his teeth, is this a ride for Vic three?

:15:24. > :15:28.I think it is. Alex Dowsett towards the line, the last couple of metres,

:15:29. > :15:32.he has pulled it out of the bag! Silver four years ago, Gold in

:15:33. > :15:38.Glasgow for Alex Dowsett. For England. Just under ten seconds

:15:39. > :15:47.faster than rowing Dennis of Australia. -- Rohan Dennis. It has

:15:48. > :15:51.won him the Gold medal. Fantastic and Alex Dowsett. That is an

:15:52. > :15:56.experienced time trial. He did not think about the others. He allowed

:15:57. > :16:00.himself to lose time over the middle section. He had to keep something

:16:01. > :16:05.back for the river and that is what he did. And he took some time back

:16:06. > :16:20.but also a huge amount out of the ten seconds.

:16:21. > :16:25.It was mostly downhill from the 32 kilometre mark. He absolutely flew

:16:26. > :16:31.over the closing kilometres. Here comes Luke Durbridge for Australia.

:16:32. > :16:38.Not his day. His day will come. A real powerhouse of a rider. Still

:16:39. > :16:43.just 23 but Durbridge not in contention for the medals this

:16:44. > :16:48.time. He has come out of this a little bit tired. The pedigree is

:16:49. > :16:59.there but a bit fatigued. Still a strong performance in the top ten.

:17:00. > :17:02.Absolutely. A high-quality field. A big variation in the times for the

:17:03. > :17:08.riders. 60 riders taking part here. There is Alex Dowsett. What a ride.

:17:09. > :17:18.Here comes Michael Hutchinson for Northern Ireland. Lastly experienced

:17:19. > :17:28.over 30 national time trial results under his belt. He has had a very

:17:29. > :17:33.solid performance but certainly not near the podium. It is not a great

:17:34. > :17:40.course for Michael Hutchinson. He prefers a flatter one as we saw out

:17:41. > :17:47.in Delhi. This is Berry much a road man circuit. Here comes Michael

:17:48. > :17:55.Hutchinson. A little over 50 minutes, the time. He crosses the

:17:56. > :18:04.line. His time will be good enough to move him into 11th place on the

:18:05. > :18:19.leaderboard. That was a ride which certainly hurt. We are waiting for

:18:20. > :18:24.David Millar now. Here comes David Millar. Not the result they were

:18:25. > :18:34.hoping for. His career heads towards its close. The pride is still

:18:35. > :18:43.driving him on in the final few metres of this ride. He has had many

:18:44. > :18:49.great days on the bike. Sadly for him, this was not one of them. It is

:18:50. > :19:03.still a good ride and eighth place for David Millar. Two and a quarter

:19:04. > :19:07.minutes down on Alex Dowsett. Alex Dowsett was beaten into second place

:19:08. > :19:12.by David Millar four years ago. But he came on so close in the closing

:19:13. > :19:16.stages of this ride. Just as it looked to be slipping away, he

:19:17. > :19:21.really turned it around in the closing half dozen kilometres or so.

:19:22. > :19:25.We have watched it all day. As long as you are in touch within ten

:19:26. > :19:29.seconds, it is all possible. It keeps ebbing and flowing, depending

:19:30. > :19:34.on which part of the course suits which rider. He will have looked at

:19:35. > :19:37.the course carefully, knew how to spend his effort and knew how much

:19:38. > :19:43.damage he could do on the run back into town. He turned around the best

:19:44. > :19:53.part of 15 seconds from the final check. Quite an incredible ride. We

:19:54. > :20:00.know what he's capable after the individual victory in the jury to

:20:01. > :20:06.tally. That was a tough course in Tuscany. He beat Bradley Wiggins

:20:07. > :20:13.that day. He really delivered there, Alex Dowsett. A frustrating

:20:14. > :20:20.summer. He was recovering from illness. He is back on top here with

:20:21. > :20:43.a superb ride. Geraint Thomas had a very strong

:20:44. > :20:50.ride, back from the Tour de France. Some big names further down the

:20:51. > :21:00.field, Luke Durbridge is another one from the Tour. The field contained

:21:01. > :21:04.60 riders but there was one who was the class of that field and that is

:21:05. > :21:12.Alex Dowsett who wins the gold medal for England.

:21:13. > :21:18.Quite a remarkable race. It looks like he had perhaps gone out too

:21:19. > :21:22.fast, too soon. Geraint Thomas, after three weeks on the Tour de

:21:23. > :21:26.France, what a heart he has on the bike. I remember last year in the

:21:27. > :21:29.Tour de France he had a broken pelvis but rode through for his

:21:30. > :21:33.team. We thought perhaps he was focusing on the road race but he

:21:34. > :21:39.cycled his heart out, gave everything he had for third place.

:21:40. > :21:43.And Rohan Dennis who was perhaps the favourite beforehand, again, finding

:21:44. > :21:53.a really good effort. I think we can go to jail now. She has been

:21:54. > :21:57.speaking to David Millar. -- we can go to Jill Douglas now. In fact, I

:21:58. > :22:02.have a handful of cyclists here. I will start with the gold-medal man,

:22:03. > :22:07.Alex Dowsett. No one wanted that more today than I did. A silver in

:22:08. > :22:12.Delhi, disappointment at not being picked for the Tour de France. I

:22:13. > :22:18.have been angry this whole month. I usually pull something out of the

:22:19. > :22:25.bag when I am really, really angry. So it is pretty special that. Let's

:22:26. > :22:30.have a word with you as well. You were in that gold medal position for

:22:31. > :22:36.a moment or two but this fellow was able to pull you back. Yes, I was of

:22:37. > :22:43.its prized on the radio when I could hear five seconds up. Then he just

:22:44. > :22:48.beat me again. A little bit disappointed, to be honest. Second

:22:49. > :22:53.every time this year. It is getting a bit annoying. I am sure you will

:22:54. > :22:57.come out fighting after that. And they word for you, Geraint, one of

:22:58. > :23:03.the quotes of the Tour de France was let's smash it and see what happens

:23:04. > :23:07.and I think that is what you did there. I was a bit unsure what to

:23:08. > :23:14.expect today really. Fortunately, I was just able, I just felt strong. I

:23:15. > :23:18.did not feel zippy or fresh but I was able to smash it. I think for

:23:19. > :23:23.the next time trial, I will send him some flowers and make sure he is

:23:24. > :23:27.happy and maybe we will have a chance! You guys have to go to the

:23:28. > :23:33.podium. I will let you go. I will have a word with this guy. You have

:23:34. > :23:38.had to ruling the short Commonwealth crown but what an amazing reception

:23:39. > :23:41.you have had here at Glasgow Green. It is like the Tour de France.

:23:42. > :23:47.Scottish flags everywhere and everyone sharing my name. There were

:23:48. > :23:51.brief moments, it was amazing. Not your day to day. When did you

:23:52. > :23:57.realise perhaps this would not be your day? When a motorbike went

:23:58. > :24:03.ahead. When I realised there was no point in watching me any more! I am

:24:04. > :24:08.not as good as I was when I was younger. This is a younger man's

:24:09. > :24:15.game. Do you think if you had ridden the Tour, you would have been

:24:16. > :24:20.fresher? Stronger but not fresher. You cannot predict. You can see with

:24:21. > :24:25.Geraint, he is on his hands and knees and gets third. I was very

:24:26. > :24:28.realistic about today. My time trialling has not been so good for

:24:29. > :24:36.the last couple of years. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

:24:37. > :24:41.Yes, we look forward to seeing David Millar on Sunday and Geraint Thomas.

:24:42. > :24:46.First of all, Chris, what a ride from Alex Dowsett. It was an

:24:47. > :24:51.incredibly polished performance. He had a bit of everything there. He

:24:52. > :24:55.stayed with them on the climbs. He had to look after himself through

:24:56. > :25:03.the technical section and then drove down the descent. Peopled back 15

:25:04. > :25:08.seconds which is quite remarkable. And Rohan Dennis, perhaps the more

:25:09. > :25:12.measured of the medallists. He faded towards the end. You could see it in

:25:13. > :25:16.his body language. The cadence goes down, the gear goes up as you force

:25:17. > :25:22.it to happen, but he fought courageously all the way to the line

:25:23. > :25:28.there. And talking of courage, Geraint produces a ride like that!

:25:29. > :25:35.You could see he really wanted it and he really dug deep. Dowsett and

:25:36. > :25:39.Dennis, they were going to be the powerhouses on the way down. He

:25:40. > :25:45.really needed to make a big offer in the middle. All three of them fought

:25:46. > :25:50.courageously. And a word on David Millar, he was quite phlegmatic as

:25:51. > :25:55.he always is in his interviews. I was quite disappointed for David. He

:25:56. > :25:58.really wanted to go out on what was his last major competition and do

:25:59. > :26:03.something, but physically, it was not there. He knows how to handle

:26:04. > :26:10.the bike technically but the legs were not there. Chris, thanks.

:26:11. > :26:14.Jason, it is back to you. Congratulations to Alex Dowsett but

:26:15. > :26:17.you do have to say well done to Geraint Thomas, straight into the

:26:18. > :26:23.men's time trial after the Tour de France. But some going. That is it

:26:24. > :26:28.from me. I will hand you over to Hazel Irvine. Do you know that there

:26:29. > :26:33.are some in our presentation team who are women and men of many

:26:34. > :26:37.talents. Do give iPod, one of our co-presenters on BBC Three, I found

:26:38. > :26:41.out that not only will he be presenting programmes on Sunday

:26:42. > :26:47.afternoon, he will then grab his drumsticks and go to Hampden Park

:26:48. > :26:53.and line up as a drama -- Dougie Vipond. I am a super fan of Deacon

:26:54. > :27:01.blue. I think he is arranging a meeting with Ricky Ross for May. I

:27:02. > :27:04.think it will be fantastic. So many talented men and women on BBC Three

:27:05. > :27:08.broadcasting alongside us. Not only a world-class line-up at Hampden

:27:09. > :27:13.Park. We will also have Kylie Minogue, Lulu and so many others but

:27:14. > :27:18.also world-class performances in the gymnastics that we are all about

:27:19. > :27:33.today. It is the hydro, here we come again.

:27:34. > :27:51.Max Whitlock is the man of the moment.

:27:52. > :27:57.The uneven bars was the event that Beth Tweddle once ruled. Rebecca

:27:58. > :28:05.Downie would like to inherit the crown. She will have a tough tussle

:28:06. > :28:09.with the Aussies. One of the undisputed stars of the games will

:28:10. > :28:13.be Max Whitlock. We will see him later but we also have the 200

:28:14. > :28:23.metres this evening. I mention Max Whitlock. He's going for a treble

:28:24. > :28:25.gold today, after a gold in the individual all-around. The team

:28:26. > :28:31.event is over at the Hydro. There could be a sack full of medals

:28:32. > :28:35.because he is also qualified for six events. We have the floor, pommel

:28:36. > :28:41.and rings final for the men's and the vault, and uneven bars for the

:28:42. > :28:47.women. There could be a highly profitable afternoon in store for

:28:48. > :28:55.the home nations gymnasts. Max Whitlock was the top qualifier for

:28:56. > :28:59.the floor event. Daniel Keatings has two silvers for Scotland so far. He

:29:00. > :29:05.has qualified in third place. Kristian Thomas comes in for the

:29:06. > :29:07.injured Sam Oldham. Over we go and we will join Mitch Fenner, Christine

:29:08. > :29:51.Still and Max Baker. It is very important to make the two

:29:52. > :30:32.second hold, which he does. That was a good routine, a good

:30:33. > :30:37.start for him. He is putting everything into this. Not many

:30:38. > :30:45.deductions. What a benchmark to have set. Not much room for error, Chris?

:30:46. > :30:53.Not much room. Like we were talking earlier, you have got to married

:30:54. > :30:57.difficulty with quality. If anything, you would say the New

:30:58. > :31:01.Zealand team have aired safety first, but they have been very

:31:02. > :31:10.classy in their performances, men and women. So, lovely technique.

:31:11. > :31:14.Really keeps the head well fixed. Spots the floor and extends out.

:31:15. > :31:17.That was a lovely example of how you should extend the legs out before

:31:18. > :31:40.you role. expect his East score to be very

:31:41. > :31:48.good. -- E score. Very precise. Technically. Somebody has had a word

:31:49. > :31:52.in the camp and it is showing here. The difference between two

:31:53. > :32:06.Commonwealth Games is very noticeable. He scored 14.3 in

:32:07. > :32:17.qualification. He has gone up. 14.55. Execution is close to nine.

:32:18. > :32:30.Very impressive. That could sneak into bronze. A sterling effort for

:32:31. > :32:40.Wales over the last couple of days. Clinton Purnell. 25 years old. Very

:32:41. > :32:44.experienced gymnast. This will not be the last time you see him because

:32:45. > :32:52.he has also made the pommelhorse final and the rings final. The fifth

:32:53. > :32:58.highest qualifier on the floor. Nicely kicked out.

:32:59. > :33:05.A double twist. A half turn. So good to see him working at this level.

:33:06. > :33:23.And consistently. Successfully into the twisting

:33:24. > :33:27.element. So far, very good. A bit shaky. Those handstands are so

:33:28. > :33:52.important. Working with great control and pace.

:33:53. > :34:04.Secure, and he is holding his focus after a long, long competition.

:34:05. > :34:13.Clinton Purnell! The score to be is 14.550. Just posted by David Bishop.

:34:14. > :34:19.And he has gone a long way to achieving a better score, Chris.

:34:20. > :34:24.Yes, he has. A similar type of difficulty, he qualified with. It

:34:25. > :34:33.was very good, there were no noticeable errors. No big steps and

:34:34. > :34:42.landing, nothing. He punches a floor. He is landing the more simple

:34:43. > :34:49.half turn -- he punches the floor. This was very impressive. The blind

:34:50. > :34:56.twist landing. The 1.5 into the full twist. So well rehearsed. Let's give

:34:57. > :35:02.an idea of the kind of deductions the judges will be giving. He has

:35:03. > :35:12.slightly loose legs. A lack of height on each tumble. It depends on

:35:13. > :35:23.the competition sometimes. Steps on landing, but he hardly had any of

:35:24. > :35:34.those. Clinton Purnell. 14.366. Just behind David Bishop.

:35:35. > :35:43.Kristian Thomas for some old who injured his left foot. -- some old.

:35:44. > :35:51.But he did live I with the six highest score on the floor. -- he

:35:52. > :36:05.did qualify. He is big but he handles his size very well. Arabian.

:36:06. > :36:18.He lost that. You must landing. -- he lost the landing. But straight

:36:19. > :36:38.back into a controlled series. It takes your breath away.

:36:39. > :36:51.Very nice and very low. Showing strength as well as control.

:36:52. > :36:59.He started with a pike and he finished with a top. Very

:37:00. > :37:10.uncharacteristic to roost -- to lose his footing. But such a stylish and

:37:11. > :37:14.powerful gymnast. Heat puffed his cheeks a bit and he did not do it

:37:15. > :37:21.well in qualification either -- he puffed. I think he lost where he

:37:22. > :37:29.was, but that is very unusual. We will see what did happen. That is

:37:30. > :37:39.the first tumble, so effective, that kick out. It is this tumble here.

:37:40. > :37:41.You can see he just flicked his head and he lost as orientation.

:37:42. > :37:45.You can see he just flicked his head and he lost as He stopped at 1.5 and

:37:46. > :37:56.he thought, I will put another half in. His head was wild. This is very

:37:57. > :38:02.clean. Very confident finish. I think he normally does 1.5 and that

:38:03. > :38:09.is what happened, he did not open out at the right time. It did look

:38:10. > :38:18.as if he stalled at the 1.5 and the extra did not work. Such a shame for

:38:19. > :38:22.Christian. He knows is attempt at a medal is out of the window. -- his

:38:23. > :38:30.attempt. He will put this down to experience. It shows you how easy it

:38:31. > :38:34.is to lose your way. When you see somebody like Max Whitlock twisting,

:38:35. > :38:46.you think, how does he know at the right moment to break out? 13.366.

:38:47. > :38:55.Thomas is in third. Another chance for a Gold medal for England's Matt

:38:56. > :39:02.-- Max Whitlock. 21 your old European champion. He took Gold in

:39:03. > :39:10.the all-around final. He missed a twist. It was square around after

:39:11. > :39:25.the full twist setup. That was very impressive. 3.5. A half turn out. To

:39:26. > :39:31.make absolutely sure of where he is. Posh hard... There you go! So many

:39:32. > :39:42.gymnasts have tried to imitate that, it is not easy. Lovely control.

:39:43. > :39:57.Short diagonal, they have to include that. One and three.

:39:58. > :40:11.He just wraps those in like it is nothing! Superb technician. And a

:40:12. > :40:16.triple twist. What a performance! And he is just not faltering.

:40:17. > :40:22.Breathtaking gymnastics, every single move was never in doubt. And

:40:23. > :40:28.I think he has become quite a bit more stylish. That was where he

:40:29. > :40:36.perhaps was lacking. He had untidy legs. That was very well performed.

:40:37. > :40:40.The mind boggles! How can a human do that? Only one other guy in the

:40:41. > :40:52.world can do that, the Japanese man. He has a particular way with

:40:53. > :40:58.his twisting. He almost does not set the somersault up at all, he is so

:40:59. > :41:07.powerful. The snap out of the round of, getting his chest up, he does

:41:08. > :41:11.not have to lift his arms. Very rare to see such solid technique. A lot

:41:12. > :41:17.of them just amble through it, but very good technique and that is why

:41:18. > :41:25.he can do this. 3.5 twist. Another somersault. Three and a half twists!

:41:26. > :41:34.He just throws the arm. He takes the weight on the right. Transfers very

:41:35. > :41:38.quickly. That is so, so impressive! He scraped the floor, but forgive

:41:39. > :41:48.him that! That will be the little deductions. It is like a gymnastic

:41:49. > :42:01.robot! A robot with feeling. Unbelievable! Max Whitlock. 15.533.

:42:02. > :42:26.That is the score to beat. This lad has certainly got some

:42:27. > :42:33.moves. Can he contain that power? That is the challenge ahead. Kumar.

:42:34. > :42:45.I hope so, he has not hit it well all week. He just put a foot out.

:42:46. > :42:50.But very impressive stuff. He made the two and a half from it. He

:42:51. > :43:02.frightened us to death in Delhi. But he has had control since he has

:43:03. > :43:08.settled down. Very confident gymnast.

:43:09. > :43:26.He is measured. He has got the skills. He put his hands down. That

:43:27. > :43:31.is a landing deduction, he did not need to do it. He made sure of that,

:43:32. > :43:36.he said. And this is the final tumble.

:43:37. > :43:47.It is a pity because good skills, he just put his hands down for no

:43:48. > :43:52.apparent reason. This was not to be. It is difficult to follow Max

:43:53. > :43:55.Whitlock, let's be honest. Just a different class completely of

:43:56. > :44:04.gymnastics. A similar opening tumble. , -- not the opening tumble,

:44:05. > :44:11.this is the link tumble. But this is fantastic skill. -- the opening

:44:12. > :44:16.tumble. The next one, when he went for the two and a half twists, Max

:44:17. > :44:24.was completely round and he was three quarters. This was a bit

:44:25. > :44:29.better. But this was so strange, that will probably cost him a medal.

:44:30. > :44:34.Technically, that was a landing. That should be one marked deduct

:44:35. > :44:42.did. I imagine it will be. Dashed deducted. -- deducted. Such a shame,

:44:43. > :44:50.a medal for India would have been very significant. They may be kind

:44:51. > :45:00.and they may not give him a hallmark. -- one mark. That was

:45:01. > :45:04.interesting in slow motion of the two and a half. He looks over the

:45:05. > :45:22.shoulder. 7.3 for execution. The score is

:45:23. > :45:26.down. 13 point eight. Dashed 13.8. He goes into fourth and still a lot

:45:27. > :45:38.of gymnastics this final. Dashed 13.8. The Jack -- the next gymnast

:45:39. > :45:45.now. The 25-year-old. He also made the vault final and he squeezed into

:45:46. > :46:00.the top eight. 14.3666 was his qualifying score. Very light.

:46:01. > :46:09.That is very nice. A very light gymnast, very quick across the

:46:10. > :46:37.floor. that the shoulders are on the

:46:38. > :47:05.landings. It is very busy. He was light, he was quick. And he

:47:06. > :47:15.is capable of potentially squeezing up into medal contention. There are

:47:16. > :47:25.two gymnasts still to go. I liked the tempo of that routine. Those

:47:26. > :47:30.starters around will be quite costly. I would be surprised if he

:47:31. > :47:44.went ahead of David Bishop. He twists very well indeed.

:47:45. > :47:58.That was the best one. Just a little the blend with where the arms are to

:47:59. > :48:00.steady the landing. This guy is on his way, he has a lovely twisting

:48:01. > :48:31.technique. The currently do, Max Whitlock. He

:48:32. > :48:32.leads David Bishop and Clinton Purnell currently in third place --

:48:33. > :49:02.the current leader, Max Whitlock. The question is, is Dan Keatings

:49:03. > :49:09.going up on a six difficulty that he posted in qualification. These days,

:49:10. > :49:17.the yardstick is a six difficulty, did that well and take it from

:49:18. > :49:28.there. It is thing for Wah Toon Hoe. -- fifth.

:49:29. > :49:53.So now it is Dan Keatings for Scotland.

:49:54. > :50:07.Here's not messing about. He is fairly zooming across the floor.

:50:08. > :50:22.I think that was out. As long as he is on the line, it is OK. He does

:50:23. > :50:27.the combination into Russian, very nicely done. And you would expect it

:50:28. > :50:46.from someone who has taken the European gold medal on pommel.

:50:47. > :50:58.Keep your focus, Dan Keatings 's. A little skip to the side. He was in

:50:59. > :51:04.control of that. Well, he zipped through it to get as much difficulty

:51:05. > :51:11.as he possibly could. But the bad news that a red flag did go up. He

:51:12. > :51:21.was out but how costly will that be? A score of 14.366 for a bronze.

:51:22. > :51:25.Well, that was a classy routine. Lots of energy to it. .1 for

:51:26. > :51:30.stepping out and that tumble had a bit of a deduction on the landing,

:51:31. > :51:35.didn't it? But I think that will score quite well. I do not think it

:51:36. > :51:41.will beat Max Whitlock but I would not be surprised if it was the

:51:42. > :51:46.second-highest score so far. I think he is safe. He is in a medal. Look

:51:47. > :51:52.at the way he is really piling it in there. It is this relatively

:51:53. > :51:58.straightforward double twist. He almost rushed into that tumble

:51:59. > :52:04.little bit quickly. I like this as well. It is a gymnastic link they

:52:05. > :52:08.have to include. What was clever here is if he had parked at their

:52:09. > :52:22.his feet would have been out of the area so he walks forward slightly

:52:23. > :52:28.and then drops his feet down. Lovely to see him working like this. I like

:52:29. > :52:33.to see routines that show a variety of twisting and rotating skills. He

:52:34. > :52:46.shows us a clue that there. Twisting and rotating. Two twists, two

:52:47. > :52:49.somersaults. Well, if you see a number two on the side of the

:52:50. > :52:59.scoreboard, he is guaranteed a medal. It is third at the moment.

:53:00. > :53:08.There is one gymnast still to go. It is that 0.1 out which is the

:53:09. > :53:14.difference between second and third. Will the Canadian upset the home

:53:15. > :53:18.nation party? Scott Morgan, 25 years old. He has a difficulty value of

:53:19. > :53:36.6.4. This is power personified. He just

:53:37. > :53:44.floated upwards, a double straight, is punch one and he lifted. And then

:53:45. > :53:57.open the parachute to land. Dear, oh dear, oh dear, he means business.

:53:58. > :54:07.Significantly controlled here. That is a nice pace. He will take a

:54:08. > :54:11.little breather. He did not really kick it out but managed to roll down

:54:12. > :54:18.from the soldiers which is what the judges will be looking for. Here's

:54:19. > :54:29.wrapping in the twists. He is really meaning business here. Worth every

:54:30. > :54:35.10th. The absolute precision on the twisting double. I tell you what,

:54:36. > :54:44.that difficulty must go up. Surely, that must be a medal? The question

:54:45. > :54:49.is, what colour? David Bishop knows he is guaranteed a medal because he

:54:50. > :54:55.is up in second. That has to be a medal. I think it will come close to

:54:56. > :55:04.Whitlock's score. Whitlock scored 15.533. That was super work, Chris.

:55:05. > :55:19.Very clean and really good variety in this routine. Into the punch, one

:55:20. > :55:25.and a quarter to a prone position. There were not any landing

:55:26. > :55:31.deductions there. From a style perspective, he is not in the same

:55:32. > :55:36.class as Whitlock. Know, especially when you see the slow motion. There

:55:37. > :55:42.are some bent legs. But the judges do not have slow motion. They do not

:55:43. > :55:57.but I think you can see the bent legs. He has just piled it in. But

:55:58. > :56:04.there is room for deduction. While we are talking difficulty, Max

:56:05. > :56:09.posted a difficulty score of 6.7. I have not got my calculator but I

:56:10. > :56:16.think he has stepped up from 6.4. That was amazing, the way he

:56:17. > :56:27.launched and kicked out. In my eyes, I think Max just has the edge. Oh,

:56:28. > :56:33.yes. I would say so. Our debate will go on but I think the judges have

:56:34. > :56:41.come to a decision. There it is. It is silver medal for Scott Morgan.

:56:42. > :56:46.David Bishop will take the bronze medal, pushing Daniel Keatings from

:56:47. > :56:51.Scotland down into fourth. What a floor final. Cracking. That is

:56:52. > :57:15.world-class performance. Less than .1 ahead of Dan Keatings.

:57:16. > :57:23.The step out on the floor lost him the medal. Potentially the circle of

:57:24. > :57:29.the arms could have done that. Yes, he rushed a little bit, Dan

:57:30. > :57:32.Keatings. But what a performance from David Bishop from New Zealand.

:57:33. > :57:36.We have been talking about how impressed we have been with the New

:57:37. > :57:44.Zealanders and the work they have put in, they have reaped their

:57:45. > :57:48.reward with a bronze medal on floor. Somerby has had a talking to. There

:57:49. > :57:55.is Max Whitlock, confirmation. There is your leader, Max Whitlock, the

:57:56. > :58:02.gold medallist. And yet another gold medal, that is gold medal number 34

:58:03. > :58:11.Max Whitlock. Will the medal count continue for him? Surely. How many

:58:12. > :58:25.finals has he got? He could potentially have six. That is to

:58:26. > :58:33.restrict. -- that is terrific. I did say David Bishop could potentially

:58:34. > :58:38.get bronze. Yes, you did. And Morgan, the last gymnast, he had a

:58:39. > :58:42.long wait and that can play on your mind, Chris, because if you are

:58:43. > :58:51.debating Shaddai up my difficulty or not, it can be a tough ten or 15

:58:52. > :58:56.minutes? Yes, it could be. The thing is, I think he thought he could not

:58:57. > :59:02.beat Max. He knows he has not quite got that difficulty. But with the

:59:03. > :59:08.difficulty he has got, he could take the others. I think you went for

:59:09. > :59:11.that safety. Just looking at Max on that 3.5 twist, the shoulders were

:59:12. > :59:20.absolutely square. Amazing awareness. Well, Max Whitlock

:59:21. > :59:24.without doubt, the gold medallist. Scott Morgan takes silver and David

:59:25. > :59:35.Bishop from New Zealand is more than happy with bronze.

:59:36. > :59:42.STUDIO: Yes, Max Whitlock's third gold medal means he has one more

:59:43. > :59:47.gold medals than anyone else at these games. The golden hat-trick,

:59:48. > :59:52.England's 40th at these games and he has still got two more chances to

:59:53. > :59:57.come this afternoon. The 24-year-old from Hemel Hempstead is making

:59:58. > :59:59.himself at home on the top step of the podium. Another wonderful

:00:00. > :01:34.performance from Max Whitlock. that. It is a major achievement but

:01:35. > :01:37.I have to focus on the next events. It looked like you are showboating

:01:38. > :01:41.at one stage. You are just incredibly talented, how much

:01:42. > :01:45.confidence does that give you going into the other apparatus? A lot of

:01:46. > :01:50.confidence and it makes me chill out.

:01:51. > :01:56.I can enjoy the rest of the experience and stay as relaxed as I

:01:57. > :02:03.can. Two left and a battle coming up. Are you looking forward to it?

:02:04. > :02:06.I am really looking forward to it, they are great competitors and

:02:07. > :02:11.hopefully it will be a great competition but I just want to be

:02:12. > :02:16.happy with what I do. Good luck with the next two.

:02:17. > :02:22.Pommelhorse and the rings final this afternoon for him. There was also a

:02:23. > :02:26.golden hat trick on offer today for the new store of the English team

:02:27. > :02:32.and British gymnastics between macro. She is 16, fourth at seven,

:02:33. > :02:43.but she took the title last night and pulsate in style. -- for Claudia

:02:44. > :02:49.Fragapane. Wonderful scenes last night. And now she has another busy

:02:50. > :02:56.afternoon because she's about to take part in the women's vault

:02:57. > :03:01.final. She was the top qualifier the other day on the opening day of

:03:02. > :03:09.qualification and also included is like. And Kirsten Beckett is also

:03:10. > :03:16.fancied. Kelly Simm looking for her first medal. And good to see Emma

:03:17. > :03:25.White in the final. Back to the Hydro now with our commentary team.

:03:26. > :03:31.The gymnasts have been warming up outside, no time here in the arena

:03:32. > :03:37.which makes all the difference for those gymnasts going later. So

:03:38. > :03:45.George Rose Brown first from Australia. The sixth highest

:03:46. > :03:52.qualifier. A tall, elegant gymnast, beautiful style. The straight twist

:03:53. > :04:05.on the vault, simple but beautifully performed.

:04:06. > :04:34.This is the first of two. She will have to make a different entry to

:04:35. > :04:40.the vault. Still looking for a similar difficulty value of around

:04:41. > :04:45.five. Lovely contact. Look at the technique in the twist. Oddie macro

:04:46. > :05:01.together. Fully extended. Lovely style in the end -- legs together.

:05:02. > :05:08.Georgia Rose Brown with her second vault. Her first was 14.1. Her

:05:09. > :05:24.second now. Georgia Rose Brown saluting the

:05:25. > :05:32.judges ready for her second vault. This is slightly easier. 4.6, value.

:05:33. > :05:46.Interesting vault. A half turn. Front somersault.

:05:47. > :05:56.She has to make sure she is square and she did that very well. A half

:05:57. > :06:03.turn, very effective. You have to be very quick on this turn. Very

:06:04. > :06:12.square. Well done, good vault. Again, not a lot of deduction.

:06:13. > :06:19.Really strong. A bit of line. -- off-line. That is quite often the

:06:20. > :06:31.problem. She does not quite get square as she makes that turn. So

:06:32. > :06:41.quick of the top. -- off the top. I thought she was square but slightly

:06:42. > :06:47.to the left hand side. An average will be taken. 13.833 is the final

:06:48. > :06:54.score for Georgia Rose Brown, from Australia.

:06:55. > :07:09.The second gymnast now. Listen to the crowd. Scotland's Emma White.

:07:10. > :07:14.She was sixth on this apparatus in the Commonwealth Games in 2010. A

:07:15. > :07:30.strong and powerful approach. Good technique. Beautiful extension. Just

:07:31. > :07:36.one step. Good vault for number one. A lot of power and determination.

:07:37. > :07:49.Just as she has approached this competition. One hand is slightly in

:07:50. > :07:56.front of the other on contact. But very nice and very clean. Very good

:07:57. > :08:03.alignment. Good and straight. Landing as you are meant to, one

:08:04. > :08:06.foot either side of the red line. I thoroughly -- she thoroughly enjoyed

:08:07. > :08:16.her experience. She is making the most of this. She needs to stretch

:08:17. > :08:26.at this point, keep stretching. A full twist. The shoulders come up.

:08:27. > :08:37.This is a battle of the execution score. Brown's best execution was

:08:38. > :08:47.9.1. This is eight point eight. -- 8.8, execution. In qualification,

:08:48. > :08:57.she did a 4.8. This is the same. She needs to execute this is precisely

:08:58. > :09:04.as possible. -- as precisely. This is generally the less favoured

:09:05. > :09:14.vault. That was a shame, the big step. That was a very nice vault.

:09:15. > :09:23.Half turn. She punches really high. Pike front somersault. There is

:09:24. > :09:32.nothing more she can do now. She has to wait and hope that she scores

:09:33. > :09:39.over 13.833. She gets extra points for the pike shape. Similar vault

:09:40. > :09:49.but in the pike shape. Very nice. She just overcooked it at the end. I

:09:50. > :09:56.watched her in training and she landed on straight legs. I could see

:09:57. > :10:03.she was anxious not to allow that to happen again. Taking into

:10:04. > :10:06.consideration that they do train beforehand, having a bad session can

:10:07. > :10:12.play on the mind, Chris. Yes, it can. Which he performed that well.

:10:13. > :10:19.She just looked on her knees to early. -- took ten. They will give

:10:20. > :10:26.her the four, eight, but that propelled her forwards and it

:10:27. > :10:34.increased her rotation. Emma White, silver medal position at the moment.

:10:35. > :10:43.The. Behind the current leader, Georgia Rose Brown. -- she is

:10:44. > :10:46.behind. Kirsten Beckett could get into the medals. She qualified with

:10:47. > :10:57.the third highest score. Gymnast from South Africa. Also in the floor

:10:58. > :10:59.final and the bars final. A very powerful and purposeful gymnast.

:11:00. > :11:10.Very nicely done. One and a half twist, that increases the score.

:11:11. > :11:17.Quite a large debt forward at the end. How costly world that he? If

:11:18. > :11:26.you step and you join your feet, that is a .3. If she had stepped

:11:27. > :11:33.back to the landing place, that would have been a .1. That is a.

:11:34. > :11:58.Full. Very good contact, the feet low. -- that is a fall point. The

:11:59. > :12:06.hardest vault we have seen so far. They go up in increments of three.

:12:07. > :12:15.5.3 is given. The execution is over nine. Second vault is still to come.

:12:16. > :12:16.She got good height and flight and they do deductions for a lack of

:12:17. > :12:22.height. This is good and powerful. they do deductions for a lack of

:12:23. > :12:32.height. This is A lot riding on this vault. Really strong. Quite a lot of

:12:33. > :12:37.difficult than the flip entry. She looks very relieved. I doubt she

:12:38. > :12:43.does those many times in competition. Using that approach, it

:12:44. > :12:50.is harder to get the height you need, Chris. It is, so it is given a

:12:51. > :12:58.greater tariff. She cannot contact with the feet so low when you make

:12:59. > :13:02.the half turn like that. Some gymnasts have a wide base with the

:13:03. > :13:10.arms and some quite close, and she was quite close, I thought. Quite

:13:11. > :13:14.good technique, isn't it? The feet are already quite high above you so

:13:15. > :13:21.you cannot rocket off the top the same way. That is why she is trying

:13:22. > :13:29.to create that wide base. To give the conversion upwards. Enough

:13:30. > :13:33.airtime for the full twist. She would want a bit more if she was

:13:34. > :13:46.putting an extra half on that twist. Good vault, I thought. That is two

:13:47. > :13:57.vaults done. 13.833 is the score to beat, and she does it. 14.1664

:13:58. > :14:13.Kirsten Beckett. -- 14.166, Kirsten Beckett. That could push the leading

:14:14. > :14:24.score into third. A powerful gymnast, very good indeed. Brought

:14:25. > :14:28.in to help the England team for the rest of the Commonwealth Games and

:14:29. > :14:37.it worked a couple of days ago. Total aggression in the approach.

:14:38. > :14:45.Double twist. Sliding to one side. To get two twists, her feet must

:14:46. > :14:48.have been low on contact. Very good. A very fast gymnast. When she

:14:49. > :14:55.contacts the platform, her elbows locked. She bounces off and up. That

:14:56. > :15:01.gives her the time for the two twists. And it really is an all or

:15:02. > :15:11.nothing about, it can go so wrong, especially at such a high level. I

:15:12. > :15:16.said it before, if you match airtime with rotation and twisting... And

:15:17. > :15:23.she does it very well indeed. Yes. There will be a deduction for the

:15:24. > :15:30.chest down but it is so fast and dynamic, it is difficult for judges

:15:31. > :15:39.sometimes to see that. She has gone up slightly, 14.633. She could be on

:15:40. > :15:49.target for a medal here. If she can land this next vault. A five

:15:50. > :15:55.difficulty. So slightly easier. She really needs to focus, it has to be

:15:56. > :16:00.precise. Very well done. The front somersault with a half turn, that

:16:01. > :16:08.was a great vault. And that is going to challenge. It definitely will.

:16:09. > :16:13.She is coached by Keith and Debbie Richardson, Simm. Very experienced

:16:14. > :16:19.coaches. Once again, the aggression. A half turn. Two before have done

:16:20. > :16:33.this and she did it with a twist. Plenty of attack. I mean business!

:16:34. > :16:44.They do not get the credit they should do. It is very complex

:16:45. > :16:50.twisting for these gymnasts. You can see the extension through the

:16:51. > :16:56.shoulders really powers up. That is what is missing in so many vaults.

:16:57. > :17:06.That was good vaulting. Consistently difficult. And consistently

:17:07. > :17:13.accurate. Kelly can now enjoy her experience. She and all the other

:17:14. > :17:28.vaulters can do no more. Just waiting.

:17:29. > :17:43.Will it be good enough for a medal? That was close. Yes. She is ahead by

:17:44. > :17:50..0 83. Ellie Black hoping to put right what went wrong yesterday. A

:17:51. > :17:58.big first vaults. She hung in the air, made it look very easy. A very

:17:59. > :18:05.good style. You could see it in her face, the absolute determination.

:18:06. > :18:12.She means business today, Chris. She was a finalist in the Olympics. A

:18:13. > :18:26.really good style, Mitch. Absolutely dead centre. She can twist and come

:18:27. > :18:34.out nicely. That is great vaulting. Look how precise that was. It is a

:18:35. > :18:43.5.4 difficulty. This gymnast has made every individual final. A very

:18:44. > :18:55.tough schedule for Ellie Black. But she starts superbly.

:18:56. > :19:01.She needs now to keep this consistency if she is to go ahead of

:19:02. > :19:24.Kelly Simm. She really needs lots of speed to

:19:25. > :19:34.drive her feet into the board. Lovely! She is really on fire today.

:19:35. > :19:39.Where will the judges deduct from on this because it looked incredibly

:19:40. > :19:45.smooth. It is incredibly difficult to do these Tsukahara base fault

:19:46. > :19:56.with one and a half twists. The arm well forward. A nice base, spot on.

:19:57. > :20:08.She had a starter yesterday but today, this was perfectly landed.

:20:09. > :20:13.The textbook style. Potential may be lack of height. And may be tucking

:20:14. > :20:17.the knees up a little early on that last half twist. But I would be

:20:18. > :20:25.surprised if that has less than nine for execution. Look at that broad

:20:26. > :20:31.base. Chris, you're quite right, a little bit loose at the of the

:20:32. > :20:42.knees. But we can see this in slow motion and it was a very fast vault.

:20:43. > :20:50.Surely she have to lead the field? The current leader Kelly Simm looks

:20:51. > :21:02.up. Three gymnasts to go. One of which is Claudia Fragapane. She goes

:21:03. > :21:08.into first place. The trick is to have both vaults as good as each

:21:09. > :21:14.other. The second Canadian in this final, Maegan Chant. An interesting

:21:15. > :21:28.start. A real no-nonsense approach to this

:21:29. > :21:33.vaulting. You could see in the way she did that, it was quite a

:21:34. > :21:39.different style to that of Ellie Black. She means business. Was it

:21:40. > :22:03.piped or straight? Very nice technique. She hits the

:22:04. > :22:10.platform, extends, opens those hips and then comes into a pike. I think

:22:11. > :22:14.she holds the park. If she had piked and then extended out, they would be

:22:15. > :22:21.giving it a straight but I think that is just the pike. My old coach

:22:22. > :22:32.used to say pike extension, hip rotation.

:22:33. > :22:39.I think they are having that debate, is it pike or straight? They need to

:22:40. > :23:14.have a word with your coach, Mitch! That was lovely. That was another

:23:15. > :23:19.Tsukahara vault. Neither of the Canadians opting for the more

:23:20. > :23:32.popular flip on. That was arguably better than the first one. A lovely

:23:33. > :23:36.shape. She really held her shape. Interestingly, the same technique on

:23:37. > :23:43.the top of the table. Almost as centrally landed. A lovely

:23:44. > :23:53.conversion of power. Whether it will be enough to go ahead of Ellie Black

:23:54. > :24:11.is one point. Kelly Simm is second at the moment.

:24:12. > :24:14.gymnasts. Canada have not had a very happy time at these Commonwealth

:24:15. > :24:18.Games, in terms of medals and success. Very close between second

:24:19. > :24:52.and third at the moment. It is second. She scores exactly the

:24:53. > :25:13.same for both vaults, as does her compatriot. Dipa Karmakar next.

:25:14. > :25:20.Again, the Tsukahara with full twist. She just got her head stuck a

:25:21. > :25:28.little bit and struggled with the second half. Nothing like as strong

:25:29. > :25:35.a quality with that vault. She made it difficult than herself because

:25:36. > :25:40.she stayed piked. An ideal shape is the straight shape to twist. You can

:25:41. > :25:46.see the break of the hips and it wriggled a little bit and destroyed

:25:47. > :25:51.the flight. She did not quite get those feet right over her head from

:25:52. > :25:53.the beginning. However, it was a good solid vaults. Deductions for

:25:54. > :26:20.legs apart on. A really unorthodox technique, we

:26:21. > :26:29.would say there. Technically, a little bit lacking.

:26:30. > :26:40.Look at the scoreboard there. That gives you an idea of how difficult

:26:41. > :26:53.this vault is. A seven! Chris is wincing.

:26:54. > :27:04.And she made it! She made it! How about that? Absolutely fantastic! I

:27:05. > :27:14.have not seen that in 20 years. Well done! That is her moment.

:27:15. > :27:17.Absolutely. To get that round. She had maybe an inch between her bum

:27:18. > :27:39.and the mat. a deduction for brushing the floor

:27:40. > :27:51.but definitely feet first. Huge delight.

:27:52. > :27:57.This is fabulous vaulting. Courageous and it paid off. We did

:27:58. > :28:05.have our hearts in our mouths little bit up here but that was great. She

:28:06. > :28:10.is delighted. A seven difficulty obviously gives her a big, big

:28:11. > :28:18.cushion. Ellie Black leads the field. Kelly Simm is hanging on for

:28:19. > :28:36.England in bronze medal position. Dipa Karmakar is in silver medal

:28:37. > :28:43.position for the moment. One gymnast is still to come and it is

:28:44. > :28:56.England's Dipa Karmakar -- Claudia Fragapane.

:28:57. > :29:06.That was a good, strong vault. Well, Chris, weighed you think the

:29:07. > :29:13.deductions will come from there? Little bit slack knees. Her knees

:29:14. > :29:19.are little bit bent and the direction. She very cleverly lands

:29:20. > :29:23.to one side and jumps in but she gets that because she bends one

:29:24. > :29:29.elbow on the contact and that is where the deviation comes. It is

:29:30. > :29:34.fabulous vaulting. She is a tiny gymnast. It is the right arm which

:29:35. > :29:57.bends. She just attacks it. A lot of good stuff. She lands with

:29:58. > :30:09.her chest well up. She is cleanly round. Very impressive vaulting from

:30:10. > :30:10.Claudia. She scored 14 points six in qualification. She has gone up on

:30:11. > :30:42.that score. Nile Wilson watches on. Very good vaulting. It will be a

:30:43. > :30:52.child end. It will be very, very close this. -- it will be a

:30:53. > :30:57.challenge. I am sure it was good enough. Very, very courageous. Did

:30:58. > :31:11.not hold back. The second vault was equally impressive.

:31:12. > :31:18.legs. The power and the height and the attack is fabulous. Definitely a

:31:19. > :31:27.medal. Yes, her energy, will look at this. -- look at this. Power and the

:31:28. > :31:32.determination she overcomes it. The somersault with the half turn. And a

:31:33. > :31:37.characteristic smile. There is no doubt that is not straight. This

:31:38. > :31:50.starts straight. You have to hold the shape for half of it. That could

:31:51. > :32:08.be a deduction. We will blow them to give it. -- we will wish for them to

:32:09. > :32:14.give it. Will we see a number one? Everybody is eagerly awaiting the

:32:15. > :32:21.result including Ellie Black who is in the lead with a score of 14.433.

:32:22. > :32:39.The judges are keeping us in suspense. Her only final today, she

:32:40. > :32:45.has floor tomorrow. She got 14.2666 qualification to become the highest

:32:46. > :32:55.qualifier. -- 14 .266 in qualification. They are making her

:32:56. > :33:08.weight. The suspense is too much for Claudia Fragapane. Her eyes are

:33:09. > :33:24.glued on the scoreboard. That debate between pike or straight. Calm down!

:33:25. > :33:31.The judges are not sure and they can as to watch the video. -- they can

:33:32. > :33:37.asp. Dipa Karmakar is definitely guaranteed a medal. Great news for

:33:38. > :33:47.India. I think they are watching things back. Dipa Karmakar is in

:33:48. > :33:56.second. Ellie Black is third. They will have to wait longer as Claudia

:33:57. > :34:04.decides to take a seat. The Hydro have started to clap. To encourage

:34:05. > :34:12.the judges story up. -- to hurry up. The emotion of yesterday is that!

:34:13. > :34:19.Here we go. She got Gold in the all-around yesterday. And

:34:20. > :34:30.confirmation, she has got Gold here in the women's vault final. An

:34:31. > :34:36.average score of 14.633. Fragapane, the Golden bowl once more! -- the

:34:37. > :34:41.Golden girl. She is only 16 and four foot seven

:34:42. > :34:45.and a giant of these Commonwealth Games. Fabulous performance gain

:34:46. > :34:52.from Claudia Fragapane. We will go to the man's more horse

:34:53. > :34:55.final shortly. We have Louis Smith and Daniel Keatings. They are

:34:56. > :35:04.running 15 minutes late at the Hydro so we were fair in about ten

:35:05. > :35:12.minutes. That gives us time to go to the Emirates Arena. We are enjoying

:35:13. > :35:16.the man's badminton. The English number one, the silver-medallist

:35:17. > :35:24.from Delhi, is trying to get into the quarterfinals. He is up against

:35:25. > :35:48.the man from Singapore. It is eight all in the second game.

:35:49. > :36:13.Getting nicely out of that, he was in deep problems all the way. That

:36:14. > :36:55.was a good shot, a camera shot. It is not a badminton shot.

:36:56. > :37:07.He is getting to it very early. On this forehand. That is very nicely

:37:08. > :37:08.played. Ouseph is under great pressure. He cannot reach him,

:37:09. > :37:33.despite his long legs. That is nice. Exactly the same score

:37:34. > :37:52.as in the first game interval. Ouseph leading 11-10.

:37:53. > :38:08.First-time Ouseph has had a two point advantage in this game. What a

:38:09. > :38:13.chance! He took a long swing here. Ouseph was lucky to get away here

:38:14. > :39:25.and I think he knows it. That was not well constructed.

:39:26. > :39:40.He has pushed that long. Ouseph did well to get out of the way here.

:39:41. > :40:00.That was straight down the middle. Once again, I feel Ouseph is really

:40:01. > :40:12.sort of edging away. Gliding away. Gliding away! I feel he is slowly

:40:13. > :40:30.but surely adding on the margin one point at a time. Nice and easy. It

:40:31. > :40:34.will possibly now go to 17-12. It is always good fun to guess now and

:40:35. > :40:38.again! What worries me is that you are normally right! I get many

:40:39. > :40:59.right! But sometimes I also get them painfully wrong!

:41:00. > :41:14.You see? You said it was going to be 17-12. It was close! One point, yes.

:41:15. > :41:27.He got the first. You were 50% right! Good to defence from Ouseph

:41:28. > :41:33.here. -- good defence. Huang taking nice control of this rally. Ouseph

:41:34. > :41:41.will have to react to whatever is thrown at him. But at that. That is

:41:42. > :41:47.a beauty. -- look at that. Nice to see he is taking the pace away from

:41:48. > :41:52.that shot, he is the reverse drop shot rather than going for the big

:41:53. > :41:56.smash. But at how effective that was. -- look at. Ouseph is nowhere

:41:57. > :42:26.near it. We can have a highlight of the

:42:27. > :42:31.expressions of Huang! He is having delightful expressions! Well

:42:32. > :43:49.intercepted. Good anticipation here. Another one is long. These are five

:43:50. > :44:01.match points. The Ouseph. -- for Ouseph. Yes! Interesting way of

:44:02. > :44:09.changing his mind at the last moment. Ouseph is through to the

:44:10. > :44:15.quarterfinals and it will be a battle between England and Scotland.

:44:16. > :44:22.Awaiting him in the last eight is Kieran may release.

:44:23. > :44:28.England against Scotland. And Kieran is Ouseph's training partner.

:44:29. > :44:34.Stand-by, it is time for the man's pommelhorse final, one of the most

:44:35. > :44:38.eagerly anticipated events. Louis Smith was the main man a couple of

:44:39. > :44:42.years ago when he took silver in the Olympics in this event and he became

:44:43. > :44:47.part of sporting royalty in this country. But the man who finished

:44:48. > :44:53.one place behind him in bronze was map Chris Whitlock a couple of years

:44:54. > :44:59.ago -- Max Whitlock. And he has created more pain nearing moves than

:45:00. > :45:03.even the Louis Smith achieved. -- pain nearing. And Daniel Keatings is

:45:04. > :45:10.the reigning British champion in this list two silver medals so far.

:45:11. > :45:57.So sit back and enjoyed the man's pommelhorse final. -- and enjoy.

:45:58. > :46:07.the home nations will prevail and keep this medal winning that we are

:46:08. > :46:15.seen? I do not want to keep -- put my money on anyone. Max has had an

:46:16. > :46:25.amazing competition. He has already been out here. This dominance is

:46:26. > :46:57.continuing, because down below us, 28 has received a gold medal -- Amy

:46:58. > :47:24.Regan. -- Amy Regan. -- Matt Claudia Fragapane. -- Claudia Fragapane.

:47:25. > :47:57.APPLAUSE. This moment is all about English National Anthem -- Claudia

:47:58. > :48:02.Fragapane. She has been on a high and she has had to pick herself up.

:48:03. > :48:09.She does not seem to get fazed by anything. Going last it is a long

:48:10. > :48:29.way. She was composed and off she went. Here are the bolts. -- vaults.

:48:30. > :48:45.She was likely off to the side. This is the second one. She is

:48:46. > :48:53.incredible. I had to have her, Black gets the first bronze and India

:48:54. > :48:59.McPeak gets the bronze -- Black gets the silver macro -- silver medal --

:49:00. > :49:21.India McPeak. McPeak gets the bronze -- Black gets

:49:22. > :49:57.the silver macro -- -- -- Dipa Karmakar. We cannot discount Daniel

:49:58. > :50:27.Keating 's. He had a great day. It might give him that fight. He is

:50:28. > :50:31.penned sharp in his execution. The score is split between difficulty in

:50:32. > :50:58.execution. Those gymnast who want to push it, there is a risk there. Well

:50:59. > :51:01.Lewis know that he can go 64 nine. All we had to go on was his

:51:02. > :51:10.qualification routine, none of us had Seaman was going to be like. On

:51:11. > :51:18.the execution point, talk us through this. He did swing very smoothly. He

:51:19. > :51:23.had a 7.2 in the locker he was determined to move. He has been

:51:24. > :51:32.criticised in the past, but he has claimed that out. Also, the fluid

:51:33. > :51:38.nurse of the swing, when he gets into the air, -- fluidity, he keeps

:51:39. > :51:48.them in a parallel line. He has worked on his score. I think he has

:51:49. > :51:58.got the edge. Here, when he sets the dismount, there is no hesitation.

:51:59. > :52:03.Superb work. The difficulty billed as the whole routine continues.

:52:04. > :52:16.Now, there is a massive deduction -- bills. There has to be a constant

:52:17. > :52:20.flow. That has a knock-on affect on the final score. When they get into

:52:21. > :52:37.that routine, they are thinking they have to land. Lewis is determined to

:52:38. > :52:40.go out with 272, is he ready? He has been preparing since the beginning

:52:41. > :52:52.of the year. He was starting to get fit at the beginning of last year. I

:52:53. > :52:58.cannot call this one. The lads are out. Louis Smith was sat up

:52:59. > :53:05.watching. Now, he is ready, he has his tracksuit on. Let us look at the

:53:06. > :53:18.competitors. Anderson kicks this off. The Scottish competitor is

:53:19. > :53:26.third up. Jack Davis for Wales and then Louis Smith. Then Daniel Purvis

:53:27. > :53:43.and Max Whitlock will round things off. How crucial is this order?

:53:44. > :53:50.Daniel Keatings will be edgy. He can go out there and get his job done

:53:51. > :53:54.and sit and relax. He is setting the benchmark for Louis Smith to come

:53:55. > :53:59.up. Max will not be watching. He will take themselves into a corner

:54:00. > :54:05.and do his own thing, he will hear the reaction from the crowd. Louis

:54:06. > :54:12.Smith already has Commonwealth gold. He has been there and done it. He

:54:13. > :54:17.has nothing to lose. Max already has three gold medals and has nothing to

:54:18. > :54:21.lose. It will be a battle of difficulty. Louis Smith is looking

:54:22. > :54:26.relaxed. I spoke to him the other day and he said that his goal was to

:54:27. > :54:31.come here and prove he was ready. The final is a different story. You

:54:32. > :54:35.want to get into that final and Louis Smith will say he does not

:54:36. > :54:54.want that title, but every athlete is here to win. This is the men's

:54:55. > :55:09.pommel horse final and it starts with Anderson Loran from Canada. You

:55:10. > :55:14.have to close your legs at the top. Deductions. He has to keep his hands

:55:15. > :55:23.together. If you do not have your hands parallel, he keeps them on the

:55:24. > :55:30.dismount. On pommel horse, that is a level field. It is great when the

:55:31. > :55:37.first person starts off well. It sets the tone. That was probably the

:55:38. > :55:43.most important routine. Well executed, good style am a little

:55:44. > :55:51.brushes on the handles, there will be deductions -- and little brushes.

:55:52. > :56:00.You can see on the screen, the execution score. He is doing very

:56:01. > :56:03.well. He is very cleverly using the handles. They cannot deduct you for

:56:04. > :56:14.having one hand in front of the other on the handles. A good

:56:15. > :56:23.exercise. His qualification score was 13 point 66. He did well to go

:56:24. > :56:33.through. He will put the pressure on the rest. If you go through, you

:56:34. > :56:44.have set a marker. A lot of people fall off. 13.6. As you say, the

:56:45. > :57:14.benchmark has been set. Clinton Parnell for Wales. -- Clinton

:57:15. > :57:19.Purnell. He got a 5.14 difficulty. Clinton Purnell for Wales. Forgive

:57:20. > :57:24.me for saying, I remember him as a tiny lad. This is not his favourite

:57:25. > :57:38.and he is delighted to make this final. He has made a very solid

:57:39. > :57:44.start. Look how far the hands are part, that is deductible. He has to

:57:45. > :57:51.keep them together. He is keeping the swing. The rhythm is good. And

:57:52. > :57:56.he has to keep it now. That is the pause you did not want to save. He

:57:57. > :58:04.could lose the value of the dismount. Tough, but a fact. Well,

:58:05. > :58:10.we have to point out there has been a lot of gymnastics going on, but in

:58:11. > :58:17.the individual finals, nothing else is happening, it just that one

:58:18. > :58:26.performance and all eyes are focused in on the gymnast. That is quite

:58:27. > :58:35.nerve-wracking. Lovely overhead shot. You can see him brushing the

:58:36. > :58:41.handles. The overhead shot gave us a good look at how straight the body

:58:42. > :58:47.was. You can see a little bit of a hike and that was the problem. He

:58:48. > :59:00.used strength rather than swing. He will get add deduction. -- a

:59:01. > :59:07.deduction. A little resigned smile. Good work on the apparatus. He did

:59:08. > :59:14.not fall off. Watch the left hand, he will tap it in quickly. Good

:59:15. > :59:28.technique. He has got good technique -- attack. -- tuck. Daniel Keatings

:59:29. > :59:36.waits for the judges to put up the score for Clinton Purnell. I doubt

:59:37. > :59:48.they are deliberating on the dismount. It is in, 12.966. A little

:59:49. > :59:58.shrug. Daniel Keatings. He has been European champion. He is in with a

:59:59. > :00:02.chance of a medal, but the tiniest of mistakes pushed him out of the

:00:03. > :00:13.medals on the floor. The smallest margin. The smallest mistake. He has

:00:14. > :00:26.a lovely swinging style. Nice pick-up, into the stretch body

:00:27. > :00:35.swing. Keeps the swing. Such a difficult one to control. This is a

:00:36. > :00:47.great start. Hands are absolutely parallel. Very nice work indeed.

:00:48. > :01:03.Into another triple Russian. Very good work indeed. Travelling back,

:01:04. > :01:19.keep the swaying! That is huge! -- swing. Daniel Keatings is through.

:01:20. > :01:29.He has laid down the gauntlet now. Louis Smith knows he has a job to

:01:30. > :01:36.do. As does Max Whitlock. He did not hold back. That was so difficult.

:01:37. > :01:40.And so elegant. That was the best I have seen Daniel Keatings swing on

:01:41. > :01:46.the pommel horse. Look at that style. For so many years, he has

:01:47. > :01:57.been in the shadows but this could well be his moment. It is easy to

:01:58. > :02:04.forget that this guy companies with the best, trains with the best, has

:02:05. > :02:09.won an Olympic medal. The adjustments will tell you, it is

:02:10. > :02:24.three tenths every time you do it. Look at him, is he smiling? He

:02:25. > :02:30.knows! Yes! He is smiling there. You come here with an idea what it is

:02:31. > :02:35.you want to achieve and to absolutely deliver with your own

:02:36. > :02:50.expectations must be the best feeling. Absolutely. You can do no

:02:51. > :03:01.better. 16.058! The gymnasts in this pommel horse final have real work to

:03:02. > :03:12.do. Max and Louis Smith cannot hold back. Dear oh dear. Davies now for

:03:13. > :03:24.Wales. 18 years old. The youngest in this final. Very nice. His flop.

:03:25. > :03:30.Interesting that they call it that. A triple Russian in the middle. This

:03:31. > :03:37.is good swinging. Nicely extended at the front. There are each confident

:03:38. > :03:44.work. This is a good routine. Driving forward. Good discipline

:03:45. > :03:49.with the hand placement. Come on, don't lose the rhythm. Lift your

:03:50. > :04:00.hips and lift your feet. Yes, that was a lovely routine. Jac Davey is

:04:01. > :04:13.going for a very high execution score. He looks a little bit

:04:14. > :04:21.lightweight as he is swinging. I have known the coach for many years

:04:22. > :04:29.and he will be delighted. He wasn't overawed in any way at all. Just

:04:30. > :04:32.came to work on the pommel horse, it was the only PC did. Quite often

:04:33. > :04:39.that can be quite nerve wracking. But not for this young guy. I do not

:04:40. > :04:46.think that the difficulty level will be quite a seven but it was very

:04:47. > :04:51.well executed. Lovely hip discipline. Watch the hand

:04:52. > :04:57.disappear. That is a sign of good technique. If you get the hand

:04:58. > :05:14.behind the hip. A lovely line. And look how he kept it here. Again! You

:05:15. > :05:18.can see the elation! The relief. You just don't want to make a complete

:05:19. > :05:30.fool of yourself in front of these people. 14.8. A very respectable

:05:31. > :05:38.score in this company. When you think of a six difficulty. Louis

:05:39. > :05:47.Smith for England. He has put so much work in the gym for his

:05:48. > :05:57.comeback. Now is his time to shine. The question about difficulty will

:05:58. > :06:04.soon be answered. When he gets onto this one handle, you need a double

:06:05. > :06:11.stretched circle. He is going well. See when he stretches. There is the

:06:12. > :06:22.first. No, he has played safe there. Clean in the spindle. And he is

:06:23. > :06:23.flaring on, picking up the circle. This is where the difficulty is

:06:24. > :06:41.coming up a bit. Mikey. This is crucial. He has lost the

:06:42. > :06:54.rhythm. That will be the difference. The dismount will be a question. It

:06:55. > :07:02.will only be a. It may not be gold this time for Louis Smith but it was

:07:03. > :07:07.all about proving he can come back. It was a really impressive routine

:07:08. > :07:21.until the very end. I was thinking how are the judges going to split

:07:22. > :07:26.them? He did their job for them. He really did have a go here. The

:07:27. > :07:35.second handstand was a little bit short. Let's have a look at it. But

:07:36. > :07:44.he got onto the end. Step up. And we watch leg Trail. And it is good

:07:45. > :07:51.night, Irene once that happens. But mostly very successfully done. He is

:07:52. > :08:02.a big man, you know. He is very sure about hand placement on the handle.

:08:03. > :08:08.You wonder how Paul feels with two such brilliant performers in this

:08:09. > :08:14.final. The execution of his work through the routine. There is the

:08:15. > :08:27.pause. That is the moment. That is not a dismount. They might give him

:08:28. > :08:42.a C. But in this company and with the fault on the handle before. He

:08:43. > :09:04.goes into second. It is a score of Dan Keatings for Scotland leads.

:09:05. > :09:15.Gabriel Gan. He was just outside of the medals at the Olympic Games. The

:09:16. > :09:29.struggle in the values it a little bit but nice and clean. -- the

:09:30. > :09:40.straddle in the values it a little bit. A very good final so far. And

:09:41. > :09:52.he didn't hesitate through the sequence to give him a clear

:09:53. > :09:55.dismount. A similar approach to Davies from Wales. It will be

:09:56. > :10:03.interesting to see the battle between those two. He didn't qualify

:10:04. > :10:11.with anything like such a score. But a good line, light and slight, that

:10:12. > :10:21.is the name of the game for easy pommel work. Absolutely. To swing

:10:22. > :10:26.straight. He reminds me of the Australian who used to swing very

:10:27. > :10:32.quickly. Another small man. Look how that hand is hidden behind the

:10:33. > :10:40.hips. Good extension. Lovely shape in side support as well. This is

:10:41. > :10:42.very good quality work. I am keen to see the difficulty score. Whether or

:10:43. > :10:48.not it will see the difficulty score. Whether or

:10:49. > :11:07.be higher than by four. It needs to be to get up to Davies. That is good

:11:08. > :11:19.work from him. High quality. Davies in third at the moment with 14.8. It

:11:20. > :11:25.is 14.266. He had a go. He knew he had to if he was going to have any

:11:26. > :11:30.success in this final. Somebody else who will have a very good go is

:11:31. > :11:37.Daniel Purvis for Scotland. He posted a 6.1 difficulty earlier. He

:11:38. > :11:45.has been in the 15th before. He is no stranger to it. He cut it short.

:11:46. > :11:58.Variation. Very swift in the Russian. Pike. I tell you what,

:11:59. > :12:06.there is a determination in this. Through the Russians on the end.

:12:07. > :12:12.Travelling through. Keep the rhythm, young man! There is another one.

:12:13. > :12:20.Another one through. Lovely work from Daniel Purvis. It is going to

:12:21. > :12:29.be the top end of 14. Can it creep into 15? Will that put him into

:12:30. > :12:37.third? Are you excited? What a pommel horse final we are

:12:38. > :12:41.experiencing here. Come on down! Good to see him. He has faltered a

:12:42. > :12:49.bit in this championship but he was really at his fighting best here. He

:12:50. > :12:57.has been criticised for being pike at the front but he kept the swing

:12:58. > :13:03.going. This has proved crucial. To be able to keep rhythm in any

:13:04. > :13:07.handstand, including the dismount. It is hard to be critical but the

:13:08. > :13:17.judges have two separate them somehow. What is your prediction? I

:13:18. > :13:26.would like to see him get a 15. What is his difficulty? His difficulty is

:13:27. > :13:33.6.1 in qualification. He needs an 8.9. I think it was good. Are the

:13:34. > :13:38.judges seeing it? He took as by surprise in parts of his routine

:13:39. > :13:42.because he navigated his way differently to what he has done

:13:43. > :13:47.before. He wondered whether to put another turn in there but he thought

:13:48. > :13:55.he would play it safe. Get off, while you are winning! I have to

:13:56. > :14:09.say, technically, not quite as stretched as some of them. The last

:14:10. > :14:33.man up is Max Whitlock, adjusting the pommel horse. He is fourth.

:14:34. > :14:34.14.516. Execution down at 8.4. That is harsh in my book. The judges are

:14:35. > :14:35.doing a good job. They are sticking to the new rules. Hand placement.

:14:36. > :14:42.Louis Smith is guaranteed a medal. But what colour? Will it be gold and

:14:43. > :14:55.time again for Max Whitlock? He is more than capable but a big score to

:14:56. > :15:06.beat. Handstand, very secure. One Russian, two Russians. He really

:15:07. > :15:12.needs that 7.3. If anything, so far he is even more stretched. The same

:15:13. > :15:20.mistake as in qualifying but he has picked it up. There is the spin.

:15:21. > :15:31.Very difficult work. Good placement of the hands. Still going. Go one.

:15:32. > :15:42.There we go. He keeps his rhythm. He is going back again. He really got

:15:43. > :15:54.hold of it. It was the execution quite as good as Daniel Keatings?

:15:55. > :16:07.Not to my eye. I don't know if it will creep into the 16? It is easy

:16:08. > :16:20.for us, but 31-macro went through something special. -- Daniel

:16:21. > :16:28.Keatings. He will hold onto that gold medal. You saw a little brush

:16:29. > :16:38.there. I see this as a silver medal. I am a great admirer of Max.

:16:39. > :16:46.Beautiful work. Confident on one handle. There, you could see that

:16:47. > :17:03.was a big break and a big hike at the back. -- pike. He had a break of

:17:04. > :17:07.a line and picked it up again. That is due to his great strength that he

:17:08. > :17:13.is able to think quickly and adjust his body quickly. He had to know

:17:14. > :17:20.whether the judges are sharp enough to pick up on the shapes. We are

:17:21. > :17:37.told that you need to pick up on the quality of shape. C. It is silver

:17:38. > :17:47.for Max Whitlock. -- let us see. There is golden, Daniel Keatings. We

:17:48. > :17:53.thought the smile was big yesterday when he got a silver medal, but to

:17:54. > :18:05.achieve at this medal and in this company, they were all here, Louis

:18:06. > :18:25.Smith, Maxwell Clark... -- Max Whitlock. Daniel Keatings would have

:18:26. > :18:45.been the least likely. Max Whitlock really went for it. Louis Smith did

:18:46. > :18:56.so well to make that final. He ran out of steam little bit. -- a little

:18:57. > :19:05.bit. You lose a bit of your edge when you are competing. He will know

:19:06. > :19:15.that the right man took a gold medal. Any other competition

:19:16. > :19:23.involving the pommel horse, Max Whitlock would have won. Louis Smith

:19:24. > :19:28.did not get the medal he wanted, but he gave a very good account of

:19:29. > :19:37.himself to win the bronze medal. Brilliant to show that sort of form.

:19:38. > :19:47.What a final, we have all waited and wondered what the outcome -- outcome

:19:48. > :19:54.would be. The lads did not disappoint, joining us here,

:19:55. > :20:03.Scotland's only gold medallist at the Commonwealth Games. He has just

:20:04. > :20:08.had that title taken away. It is now an exclusive club that Daniel

:20:09. > :20:15.Keatings is a part of. I am delighted for him. The time had to

:20:16. > :20:20.come and see it happen here, it was absolutely incredible. I am so

:20:21. > :20:27.happy. You were delighted for him yesterday, but how different is the

:20:28. > :20:31.gold medal? It is incredible. The expectation and pressure was on him

:20:32. > :20:38.and under that pressure, he pulled it off in front of the home crowd.

:20:39. > :20:43.We were saying, for so long, Daniel Keatings has always been there, he

:20:44. > :20:50.has taken on a lot of the pressure, pushed British gymnastics forward,

:20:51. > :20:56.but it feels right that here, in front of a home crowd, he has done

:20:57. > :21:04.it. He has had his ups and downs, but he has used that will stop it is

:21:05. > :21:10.unbelievable, because he was first up, he did not have a benchmark to

:21:11. > :21:18.follow. Then Louis Smith and Max Whitlock came in and knew they had

:21:19. > :21:25.to up their difficulty. It did not work. With the score of 16, let us

:21:26. > :21:35.treat ourselves to another look at what was close to perfection. It

:21:36. > :21:42.starts well, it had this real flow. There was real tempo and rhythm. It

:21:43. > :21:47.really helped him to do that floor routine and when it came to the

:21:48. > :21:51.pommel horse, he did not need to worry about adjusting to the

:21:52. > :21:57.atmosphere. There was no part where he -- were you thought he was losing

:21:58. > :22:02.rhythm. Obviously, you have to wait to the end because the dismount

:22:03. > :22:08.could be costly. It is so crucial, you have to remain calm on the

:22:09. > :22:14.pommel horse. He is swinging, going with the flow, going for the gold

:22:15. > :22:23.medal. He punches the air in delight. A special moment. It is

:22:24. > :22:27.worth mentioning that Max beat the gymnast that pushed Louis Smith out

:22:28. > :22:35.of the gold medal position in the Olympics. The quality of gymnast

:22:36. > :22:42.that we have is second to none. -- gymnasts. How will this compare to

:22:43. > :22:47.the other medals he has won? It is a massive achievement. It was not just

:22:48. > :22:53.a normal final, this was hotly contested. This is the one he

:22:54. > :23:00.wanted, this was the anticipated final. We had two Olympic medallists

:23:01. > :23:06.going for a gold medal and it was amazing. A word on Louis Smith, this

:23:07. > :23:14.was his big moment coming back stop you could see in his face that he

:23:15. > :23:17.would give it a good shot. You could see that he was adding the

:23:18. > :23:22.difficulty throughout the routine. The whole routine was so clean and

:23:23. > :23:30.tidy, he had that flair we have seen so many times. There was real

:23:31. > :23:36.determination. Yes, he was going for broke, not holding anything back. He

:23:37. > :23:45.has such a great character. He was swinging, he was calm. He finishes

:23:46. > :23:55.off the routine and I think he knows that he gave it is best shot. -- his

:23:56. > :24:00.best shot. We have seen him in other championships and was a focus on

:24:01. > :24:07.getting their medal, but here it has been different. It was different

:24:08. > :24:13.pressure, he wanted to put the critics write and show that he was

:24:14. > :24:17.not living a celebrity lifestyle and he had focused on his gymnastics and

:24:18. > :24:21.still has that passion. Max Whitlock, he has been having a

:24:22. > :24:31.storming competition, but it goes to show, a tiny bend in the arms and

:24:32. > :24:34.the placing changes. Going last is pretty bad macro putting yourself

:24:35. > :24:40.under pressure. It is a difficult place to be. You have to find the

:24:41. > :24:48.best within yourself. It is not an easy place to be. Are you part of

:24:49. > :24:52.this schedule? You have been part of the bed will stop is this your fault

:24:53. > :25:07.that the gymnasts are working every single hour? -- bid. To see the

:25:08. > :25:10.development of the gymnast, they believe in themselves. They are

:25:11. > :25:14.standing on the podium and getting the rewards they deserve, the hours

:25:15. > :25:21.in training they put in, it is wonderful. I think Max might be

:25:22. > :25:30.tired. The bend in the arms might be a result of that. He has more finals

:25:31. > :25:34.to come. It is split over a week. If you have made the team finals and

:25:35. > :25:43.the individual finals, it is a tough task. The gymnasts are out to

:25:44. > :25:48.receive their medals and once again, it is a home nations are fair. Louis

:25:49. > :26:06.Smith, Daniel Keatings and Max Whitlock -- affair. What a final it

:26:07. > :26:13.was. Louis Smith leads out three world class performers on the pommel

:26:14. > :26:19.horse. Daniel Keatings has found the miracle of form just at the right

:26:20. > :26:32.time. Max wedlock, we know all about him, he is on a roll, it he is

:26:33. > :26:39.focused -- Max Whitlock. The man that everyone wanted to come out, he

:26:40. > :26:47.is such a nice guy, Daniel Keatings emerges on top of the pile. The

:26:48. > :27:02.medals will be presented by the Earl of Wessex. There is the Earl of

:27:03. > :27:09.Wessex. Alongside Helen Phillips who has done so much for a Welsh

:27:10. > :27:13.gymnastics, as well as in her role for the Commonwealth -- for Welsh

:27:14. > :27:24.gymnastics. The winner of the Commonwealth medal, Louis Smith. He

:27:25. > :27:29.came here to prove something to himself. Lots of us who know the

:27:30. > :27:35.sport know he has nothing to prove. himself. Lots of us who know the

:27:36. > :27:40.This is to show that is hard is still in gymnastics. That bronze

:27:41. > :27:56.medal is so well-deserved. -- heart. Great stuff. Louis Smith

:27:57. > :27:59.takes a bronze medal to out to his considerable collection. The winner

:28:00. > :28:09.of the silver medal, representing England, Max Whitlock. A silver

:28:10. > :28:23.marvel to add to three gold medals. Whichever way you look at it, he has

:28:24. > :28:32.had a great games -- Games -- medal. He was 15.966, as close issue can

:28:33. > :28:38.get! That was a superb performance -- as close as you can get.

:28:39. > :28:43.get! That was a superb performance -- as close Max Whitlock, gymnast

:28:44. > :28:52.extraordinaire. Max Whitlock takes the Silver medal for the pommel

:28:53. > :29:01.horse. Gold medallist and Commonwealth champion, representing

:29:02. > :29:13.Scotland's, Daniel Keatings. No need to say his name -- Scotland. He has

:29:14. > :29:19.joined the exclusive 16 stratospheric club. A man who can

:29:20. > :29:27.score over 16 on the pommel horse. A golden performance. He accepts his

:29:28. > :29:48.medal in the way only he can. Humbly and gratefully. Daniel Keatings is a

:29:49. > :29:59.great sportsman. He is the pride of Scotland. Ladies and gentlemen, the

:30:00. > :30:02.National Anthem of Scotland. Scottish National Anthem.. --

:30:03. > :31:30.Scottish National Anthem. Let's celebrate our Commonwealth

:31:31. > :32:10.Games gold medallist. Emotional moments as Scotland get

:32:11. > :32:15.their gold and Daniel Keatings restores his status as one of our

:32:16. > :32:22.very best gymnasts in the whole of Great Britain. Good to see him back

:32:23. > :32:27.and what a final it was. Max Whitlock taking the silver and Louis

:32:28. > :32:39.Smith proved to us that his heart is still with us to take the bronze.

:32:40. > :32:45.What a final it was. In our heart of hearts, I think that was the order

:32:46. > :32:50.we wanted. I know his mother and father are in the crowd. Paul Hall

:32:51. > :32:57.was with him. They have gone through that tough time with him, so it is

:32:58. > :33:03.great and to do that in Scotland and become only the second ever gold

:33:04. > :33:12.medallist is a massive achievement. There is the confirmation. Flower of

:33:13. > :33:18.Scotland sounds really good in here. It is amazing. I am so happy for

:33:19. > :33:23.Dam, he is only the second man to do this. It is wonderful to see. I

:33:24. > :33:29.don't know if your microphone was up at the time but Beth and I were

:33:30. > :33:34.treated to a wonderful rendition of flower of Scotland from you, Steve.

:33:35. > :33:40.He has such a wonderful smile on his face. Yesterday with the silver, and

:33:41. > :33:46.about gold just means so much. How do you think Louis Smith will be

:33:47. > :33:50.feeling? You can see that he is pleased for Daniel, they have been

:33:51. > :33:56.together since they were four or five years old. They have been

:33:57. > :34:02.training for a long time. I am pleased for him. His coach Paul Hall

:34:03. > :34:07.has had a big influence on him. It is hard because he has got to of the

:34:08. > :34:12.best pommel workers in the country and he has taken them both to medal

:34:13. > :34:18.status. European Championship. He has had a big influence on both

:34:19. > :34:24.their careers. What do you think this will mean an Daniel Keatings

:34:25. > :34:29.from a selector 's point of view? I think it turns the table. He was

:34:30. > :34:34.performing under pressure and he has pulled it off. It is going to make

:34:35. > :34:40.the selectors think again about that team selection. We are going to lose

:34:41. > :34:46.you very shortly. You have duties to do as Scotland's first gold

:34:47. > :34:51.medallist. You will always be that. I am looking forward to it. I am

:34:52. > :34:58.presenting the rings medal. It is going to be a great honour to pass

:34:59. > :35:02.it onto our gold medallist on the rings. It is the discipline for

:35:03. > :35:10.which you received a gold medal. I think we might have a photograph.

:35:11. > :35:14.That we are. Look at you there. I remember watching that. It was

:35:15. > :35:22.straight after my final. That's right. I remember. Seeing images

:35:23. > :35:27.like this. You will have seen so many images. The year that you got

:35:28. > :35:38.to that you got about gold medal, annual Keating 's was born. It is

:35:39. > :35:44.incredible. I suppose everybody needs somebody to look up to. Sorry

:35:45. > :35:52.to cut you off. We have been wondering what Daniel is thinking.

:35:53. > :35:56.Here we go. We are in an incredibly privileged position watching these

:35:57. > :36:00.three perform. It was the one to watch. It was the one that you were

:36:01. > :36:07.looking forward to and you delivered on the big stage. It was amazing

:36:08. > :36:13.being in front of a home crowd and doing one of the best routines I

:36:14. > :36:18.have done. I upped my game to a seven point to start and I hit it.

:36:19. > :36:25.You say it was the Olympics that you never had. You seemed to thrive in

:36:26. > :36:30.the atmosphere. Yes. I have had my best results in front of a home

:36:31. > :36:36.crowd and I was happy to continue that here. I am ecstatic with the

:36:37. > :36:41.win. Was it extra special being up against your mates, two of the best

:36:42. > :36:46.pommel horse workers in the world. Definitely. All three of us have the

:36:47. > :36:50.highest start scores in the world at the moment. The medal could have

:36:51. > :36:55.gone to any of us. I was just happy to be in the final with these guys.

:36:56. > :37:03.I am sure you are going to revel in it. And the rings to come later.

:37:04. > :37:10.Max, another medal. A silver. A huge achievement. I am very happy. Such a

:37:11. > :37:15.great final to be a part of. Scoring 16 is huge in front of a home crowd.

:37:16. > :37:23.Well done. This competition has been great. You have been taking on a lot

:37:24. > :37:28.of stuff. Three outrageous finals. Did you feel like anything from the

:37:29. > :37:33.early apparatus are affected you? It helped to chill me out and kept me

:37:34. > :37:39.relaxed. I am starting to get tired after my fourth day in a row. I have

:37:40. > :37:44.one more piece to focus on. Well done. We are looking forward to

:37:45. > :37:51.watching you. Louis Smith, you seemed to enjoy that. I had a

:37:52. > :37:56.brilliant time out there. The crowd has been fantastic and it has been a

:37:57. > :38:01.brilliant pommel horse final. I went for a harder routine, I had nothing

:38:02. > :38:08.left to give. I was quite tired. It didn't go my way but I have come

:38:09. > :38:13.third. I am happy. Unlucky for the Welsh guy who did a brilliant

:38:14. > :38:16.routine and came fourth. You were cheering and clapping of every

:38:17. > :38:21.minute. Everybody was looking forward to seeing all of you. What

:38:22. > :38:26.was it like to be amongst your friends in this arena with thousands

:38:27. > :38:30.of people cheering you on? It has been unbelievable. There are not

:38:31. > :38:36.many pommel horse finals I have thoroughly enjoyed but this was

:38:37. > :38:41.brilliant. It was an intense experience, the anxiety and it was

:38:42. > :38:45.such fun. I am glad I am back and I am looking forward to carrying on

:38:46. > :38:52.training. That is the question. Are we going to see you more on the mat?

:38:53. > :38:55.After what I have done at this Commonwealth Games, it would be

:38:56. > :39:04.silly to give up so I am looking forward to doing more. Thanks to all

:39:05. > :39:12.of you. Huge congratulations to all three lads. We will have a chat with

:39:13. > :39:28.them later. The line-up now for the women's uneven bar.

:39:29. > :39:37.Elizabeth Beddoe is the first to go from Wales. She has the mat to go

:39:38. > :39:48.but for the moment she concentrates on the uneven bars. Very nice full

:39:49. > :39:57.pirouette. That is an error. Very difficult for these inexperienced

:39:58. > :40:02.gymnast to come straight in. She didn't quite get the swing into the

:40:03. > :40:09.somersault. In this format, the gymnasts have no warm up in the

:40:10. > :40:14.arena. Well, they did about three hours ago but they have been in the

:40:15. > :40:20.gym training while they are waiting for their go. Elizabeth, although 18

:40:21. > :40:33.years old will not have done a massive amount of finals like this.

:40:34. > :40:40.Down to the low bar. With the half term, very well performed. Handstand

:40:41. > :40:46.and a big swing up. Needs a good dismount. She does. That was such a

:40:47. > :40:53.shame. The difficult work she did fairly well. She was just unsettled

:40:54. > :41:00.on the hop. It is a pity. A fine gymnast. Once you lose your rhythm,

:41:01. > :41:07.Chris, and she did, it is very hard to get it back. She hopped on the

:41:08. > :41:14.way. This is the one that worked. Then she struggled to early and

:41:15. > :41:19.didn't get her heels pop. Her hips lead and not their heels. That made

:41:20. > :41:24.the somersault quite low and she didn't cling on to the bars. The

:41:25. > :41:31.judges have to decide whether she had a momentary hang. From the

:41:32. > :41:40.reaction of the bar, she might get away with it. If so, it is a

:41:41. > :41:50.decision that is worth about one marks. A lovely dismount. She is a

:41:51. > :41:57.fine gymnast. The Welsh women did fantastically. There is Tracy, the

:41:58. > :42:03.national coach for Wales. Most of the gymnasts are training at the

:42:04. > :42:13.National Centre. She was British champion aged nine and ten.

:42:14. > :42:38.Elizabeth Beddoe. 11.633 was the score. Chalked up and ready to go is

:42:39. > :42:47.England's Becky Downie. She has a similar dilemma to the lads on

:42:48. > :42:51.pommel horse she has a difficult routine and another one. Which will

:42:52. > :43:01.she do first? Full pirouette, straight into the pike to catch up.

:43:02. > :43:09.A move named after her, the Downie. Another release. Back down to the

:43:10. > :43:18.low bar. She has got to get back up to the high bar. She makes the turn

:43:19. > :43:25.just right. Needs to speed the Giants are up. Well done, Becky

:43:26. > :43:29.Downie. That is a routine that will be hard to beat. A commanding

:43:30. > :43:34.performance. She hit every handstand. I was relieved that you

:43:35. > :43:40.said it was the difficult routine because that was just immense. She

:43:41. > :43:48.missed one link. Sometimes she can get the second catch but she didn't

:43:49. > :43:53.chance it. She did be easier routine in qualification. She obviously

:43:54. > :44:02.thought very quickly. Original, courageous. As European champion on

:44:03. > :44:16.this apparatus you would expect her to produce under pressure and that

:44:17. > :44:20.is exactly what she did. She did a tall Katchev in the pike position

:44:21. > :44:35.and that is the move named after her, the Downie. She does a clear

:44:36. > :44:42.circle into Katchev. You have to be so clean. Accuracy on the timing and

:44:43. > :44:53.the shapes have two be right. That is great stuff. She is going to need

:44:54. > :45:09.a score in the high 14s for the gold. This should hover towards the

:45:10. > :45:17.15s. I would have hoped for her. We have seen Becky be a bit

:45:18. > :45:24.inconsistent when she was younger. Like Dan Keatings she went to the

:45:25. > :45:28.Olympics in 2008 and didn't get the selection in 2012. She was teetering

:45:29. > :45:35.on whether to fight back and she has done so and is now reaping the

:45:36. > :45:42.rewards. Larissa Miller will be the gymnast after her. The

:45:43. > :45:59.second-highest qualifier. Becky was the highest qualifier. 14.683. The

:46:00. > :46:10.difficulty down a little bit? 16.4! 14.666, she is up on qualification.

:46:11. > :46:30.Representing Australia, Larrissa Miller. A finalist at the World

:46:31. > :46:41.Championships. She qualified second. Jumps straight to the high bar,

:46:42. > :46:50.lovely extension. Huge catch. Links two releases together. A pike in and

:46:51. > :46:59.out. Super high somersaults. Three big releases already. Locked solid

:47:00. > :47:16.handstand. Lovely line on the handstands. Increases the swaying,

:47:17. > :47:24.Phil, twisting, that is a strong bed -- swing. It is going to be very

:47:25. > :47:30.close. Not a highly difficulty score, but her execution was clean.

:47:31. > :47:38.Lovely line, clean. The precision... Quality of swaying,

:47:39. > :47:45.quality of line and accuracy. Will it be a winning formula? -- swing.

:47:46. > :48:04.We will have to wait and see. Focus and determination. Lovely, look at

:48:05. > :48:10.that. Keep the swing on the transfer. So many gymnasts struggle

:48:11. > :48:16.there. Beautiful line. It is worth talking about the handstand, because

:48:17. > :48:28.with those turns, you have to be at 12 o'clock. If you cannot include

:48:29. > :48:36.too many turns, you can do better. Lovely dismount. Lovely turn. They

:48:37. > :48:56.both included one peril wet, her and Rebecca Downie. -- piroutte. The

:48:57. > :49:07.score for Rebecca Downie is 14.666. It is not good enough. 14.5664

:49:08. > :49:36.Larrissa Miller. Rebecca Downie holes on. 38. -- Elsabeth Black. She

:49:37. > :49:41.is a great gymnast. She spends that somersault straight down to the low

:49:42. > :49:51.bar. Really building her difficulty up. She was really right above the

:49:52. > :49:56.bar, there was no question. There is the full piroutte. Love the

:49:57. > :50:05.dismount. Straight body with a half turn. Lovely work. She set up that

:50:06. > :50:18.beautifully. Lovely technique on the dismount. In qualification, she

:50:19. > :50:30.posted a 5.4. I think difficulty will be what makes the difference. I

:50:31. > :50:45.think there will be a similar score. She linked that very well. Two

:50:46. > :50:56.difficult moves. Lovely straight arms, good body shape. This was

:50:57. > :50:58.impressive, look at the height. She has very good energy. She creates

:50:59. > :51:08.energy. Lovely technique. has very good energy. She creates

:51:09. > :51:15.energy. Lovely Because these buyers are wooden or fibreglass, they do

:51:16. > :51:30.their hand and the gymnasts can use the bend of the bar 's -- bar 's. --

:51:31. > :52:05.bars. Different bars have different bounce. It is an anxious wait for

:52:06. > :52:12.Rebecca Downie. The first to go. Elsabeth Black, 13.7, a difficulty

:52:13. > :52:32.of 5.5, but execution very similar to the previous gymnasts. Now, the

:52:33. > :52:39.South African, Kristen Beckett. -- Kirsten Beckett. Leisurely turn,

:52:40. > :52:46.another gymnast who works with great energy. Into the forward element,

:52:47. > :52:58.stretches out, he was out, good work. -- heels out. She was the

:52:59. > :53:03.eighth highest qualifier. A good showing, second final of the day.

:53:04. > :53:15.She will not have such a high difficulty score. It was a good

:53:16. > :53:35.performance. Nice. Nice rotations. It enabled her to swaying from it --

:53:36. > :53:45.swing. It was a clean routine. Heads the handstand on the transfer. --

:53:46. > :53:55.hits. Just a question of difficulty. Look at that. The release was

:53:56. > :54:08.perfectly timed. Their heels driving backwards to give her rotation. --

:54:09. > :54:15.the heels. The coach there. The coach is allowed on the podium to do

:54:16. > :54:20.that. Did she not miss that in one of the competitions? She missed the

:54:21. > :54:27.dismount last night. She set it up well there. These gymnasts have had

:54:28. > :54:31.to turn around quickly. They were competing last night until after

:54:32. > :54:39.nine o'clock and they are back in again. Kirsten Beckett 12.933, she

:54:40. > :54:53.is in fourth place. Rebecca Downie leads. He is a gymnast who could

:54:54. > :55:04.threaten for medals. -- here is a gymnast. Georgia-Rose Brown, the

:55:05. > :55:19.third highest qualifier. This is her favourite apparat is. Lovely long

:55:20. > :55:31.line. -- apparat is. Passion apparatus. Front somersault --

:55:32. > :55:37.apparatus. Her feet are not quite above her head on the handstand.

:55:38. > :55:42.This is usually very nice. Beautifully done. Double front. She

:55:43. > :55:52.may not have the highest difficulty, but she will certainly

:55:53. > :56:09.be well up on execution. Superb dismount, what a way to wrap it up.

:56:10. > :56:30.A very tall gymnast. There it is, the connection there. Very nicely

:56:31. > :56:42.done. Into the fold turn, a fraction late will stop -- fool turn. -- full

:56:43. > :56:54.turn. Plenty of room for clearance.

:56:55. > :57:01.Slightly bent arms. You could not see it quite so much at normal

:57:02. > :57:18.speed. Her arms were quite bent. That was a cracker. Best landing so

:57:19. > :57:26.far. Georgia-Rose Brown is in fourth place. Rebecca Downie is still

:57:27. > :57:35.leading a head of Larrissa Miller. Still two more gymnast to come,

:57:36. > :57:39.including Ruby Harold. -- gymnasts. We have to change channels. Before

:57:40. > :57:49.we go, a brief reminder of the headlines. Some magical moments.

:57:50. > :57:54.Alex Dowsett one the gold medal in the members macro time trial with

:57:55. > :58:02.Geraint Thomas taking the bronze -- won. There was a third gold medal

:58:03. > :58:06.for Max Whitlock as he added the floor title to his individual, all

:58:07. > :58:20.around and team triumphs this afternoon. There was a golden
