:00:10. > :00:14.New Zealand, perhaps, unbeatable? We can say it for the umpteenth time,
:00:15. > :00:18.New Zealand have still not lost a match in the Commonwealth Games
:00:19. > :00:22.ever. DJ Forbes absolutely instrumental as we said he would be.
:00:23. > :00:29.There is something impenetrable about them. It was not flash but it
:00:30. > :00:34.did not need to be. They did what they needed to do. The contact, the
:00:35. > :00:39.last two days, it has been in contact when New Zealand have been
:00:40. > :00:46.the best team in competition. This is wanting that we have got that
:00:47. > :00:56.highlighted exactly how good they are in contact. Australia get out
:00:57. > :01:01.here. They try and take on Pat Lam. Bang, turnover ball. From that, New
:01:02. > :01:08.Zealand went away and scored the turnover try. They know that when
:01:09. > :01:13.they have to create an offside line, there is somebody there who will try
:01:14. > :01:20.a half a break, uncertain of what they are going to do, there is no
:01:21. > :01:24.support. New Zealand will come in and clear them out. There is a clear
:01:25. > :01:28.structure to the way that they play. When they make the tackle, they know
:01:29. > :01:33.that they are creating an offside line for the opposition to have to
:01:34. > :01:38.go back. Is it churlish to say that they do not have much flair but they
:01:39. > :01:43.are the ruthlessly efficient. I think that is a competent. They
:01:44. > :01:51.haven't got the players that they had in the past like Jonah Lomu but
:01:52. > :01:55.they have seven guys that work incredibly hard for each other and
:01:56. > :01:59.they make good decisions and stay in contact with their support running.
:02:00. > :02:09.They have players on a one-to-one who can beat people. Webber, Kaka,
:02:10. > :02:13.brilliant. How do you feel your team is playing at the moment? The
:02:14. > :02:19.Aussies are a pretty good side to get one over on them we are pretty
:02:20. > :02:22.pleased. Obviously, our first game this morning was pretty tough. We
:02:23. > :02:29.are pleased to get through to another final. How tired are you by
:02:30. > :02:33.this stage of a competition? The body is pretty sore. At this stage
:02:34. > :02:41.it is more mental than physical. We just need to get ourselves up. It is
:02:42. > :02:48.a world record crowd for sevens over two days, 200,000 people. As it felt
:02:49. > :02:53.special to you? Yes, this is by far the loudest crowd we have ever
:02:54. > :02:56.played in front of. The stadium, the people, and awesome crowd to play in
:02:57. > :03:06.front of and it is really helping the boys. Samoa or South Africa?
:03:07. > :03:09.Don't you care? We just need to focus on our recovery and gain
:03:10. > :03:17.control and make sure it is a good final. The one thing that he
:03:18. > :03:22.mentioned was it is not physical, it is mental. Mental toughness is what
:03:23. > :03:27.they are always good at. They don't want to be the first New Zealanders
:03:28. > :03:33.to lose a game at the Commonwealth Games. We have just been talking
:03:34. > :03:36.saying that you do not want to be the first New Zealander to lose a
:03:37. > :03:44.sevens match in the Commonwealth Games. Is that driving you an? Every
:03:45. > :03:48.time we play Australia it is a trans-Tasman rivalry. We always get
:03:49. > :03:53.up for it. We had a great performance. Are you going to watch
:03:54. > :03:59.this dispassionately? Who would you rather play in the final? I don't
:04:00. > :04:07.think it really matters. They are both huge teams, physical, really
:04:08. > :04:14.fast. Whoever wins, we are going to have to step it up a little. Here we
:04:15. > :04:19.go, South Africa against Samoa. Real speed from South Africa, real
:04:20. > :04:22.physicality from the men in blue. For the right to play New Zealand in
:04:23. > :04:38.the final of the Commonwealth Games sevens. COMMENTATOR: Asifaamatala
:04:39. > :04:48.with the headband. He is supported by Afa Aiono. Kyle Brown making the
:04:49. > :04:57.tackle on Afa Aiono. He got injured in Hong Kong with a concussive
:04:58. > :05:01.injury. Missed out on the final tournament of the IRB world sevens
:05:02. > :05:03.series at Twickenham but he returns to captain the squad in the
:05:04. > :05:14.Commonwealth Games and certainly a big influence. Branco du Preez with
:05:15. > :05:25.the tackle. Plenty of space down the near side. Lio Lolo up to the 22,
:05:26. > :05:39.super tackle by the sweeper Cecil Afrika. Afa Aiono. Tries to play
:05:40. > :05:53.football. Tupou will have the throw. Cecil Afrika has scored over 100
:05:54. > :06:04.tries, a brilliant player. Lolo Lui on the outside. Samoa breaking
:06:05. > :06:11.through. Samoa Toloa, his eighth try of the weekend. The South African
:06:12. > :06:19.defence has been splintered. Splintered? More like ripped apart.
:06:20. > :06:25.Gaping holes through the midfield. Just a lack of urgency. The whole
:06:26. > :06:37.South African approach to the defensive line. We just see here, we
:06:38. > :06:46.know about the speed of Toloa, he picked a nice line. South Africa
:06:47. > :06:55.caught by the short side again. That is a great run and a great try. A
:06:56. > :07:04.perfect start for Samoa. Tupou with the restart. Doesn't find the ten
:07:05. > :07:10.metres and ad vantage is played because Karl Brown has picked up the
:07:11. > :07:21.ball for South Africa. Seabelo Senatla to Cornal Hendricks. A bit
:07:22. > :07:25.of a hike tackle from Samoa Toloa. He is not back ten there surely. The
:07:26. > :07:35.referee is going to blow his whistle surely. Very physical at the
:07:36. > :07:39.breakdown, the Samoans. This tie is in the balance in terms of the
:07:40. > :07:44.physicality of Samoa alongside the speed and precision of South Africa.
:07:45. > :07:54.However sallow will be matched by South Africa in the physicality
:07:55. > :08:01.stakes. -- Samoa will be. A lot of movement. Usually in the hands of
:08:02. > :08:11.Cecil Afrika, will they pick the right option? Francis Horne takes it
:08:12. > :08:16.in. A wonderful try from Cornal Hendricks. That was beautifully
:08:17. > :08:21.crafted. Absolute precision from the training field to the playing field
:08:22. > :08:28.here. As a defensive line, you have to keep chasing from the inside. It
:08:29. > :08:32.might have been a line ball. From the wide channel, look at that for
:08:33. > :08:38.players within five metres of South Africa. They have worked hard enough
:08:39. > :08:44.of the ball. Supporting the player of the ball. Unfortunately, you need
:08:45. > :08:49.to three players on the inside of the ball here because they are going
:08:50. > :08:56.to come at you nonstop. All square between Samoa and South Africa. As
:08:57. > :09:05.we see, the ball into the hands of Cecil Afrika. Inside, a big coal has
:09:06. > :09:15.already opened up. Getting across way too easy. That is training
:09:16. > :09:29.ground stuff. A high kick off taken by Samoa. Leave the half-backs
:09:30. > :09:37.alone. A big tap and go by Tupou. The pass on the outside, there is a
:09:38. > :09:55.flag out here but we are playing on. Toloa. Up to the halfway line.
:09:56. > :10:03.Reupena Levasa looking to spring. Did you see that incident? I only
:10:04. > :10:08.saw the reaction. Talk of a kick on the referee's Mike. I didn't see
:10:09. > :10:17.exactly what happened really concise. Number two. Walk away,
:10:18. > :10:23.please. There was a bit of holding on the player. As he walked away, he
:10:24. > :10:29.lashed out with the boot. Did he pick him? Make contact with his
:10:30. > :10:41.boot? A kick to the body is a kick. Sounds like a red card. Is that
:10:42. > :10:51.accurate? Blue number two, yellow card. Unnecessary use of the boot on
:10:52. > :11:04.a player. A fat Iona is sent to the bench. -- Afa Aiono. Power play for
:11:05. > :11:17.South Africa. They have got seven players. It was a knock-on from a
:11:18. > :11:23.Samoan hand. They went for the same setup on the set play again. Opting
:11:24. > :11:28.for a different option. Switching back around the blindside. Getting
:11:29. > :11:33.away from the summer when defenders, thankfully, from a Samoan
:11:34. > :11:42.viewpoint. They are hanging on now because I do not know how you defend
:11:43. > :11:48.these three threats in the ground. On the right of your picture, you
:11:49. > :11:52.can see Branco du Preez feeding the scrum. Cornal Hendricks on the
:11:53. > :12:01.outside. As he got the pace to go wide? Samoa Toloa with an excellent
:12:02. > :12:07.tackle. Playing the ball on the ground. Cecil Afrika has a go. This
:12:08. > :12:11.is Christopher Dry. Into the contact. Cornal Hendricks is going
:12:12. > :12:22.to have to play scrum-half. Samoa kick the ball. Oh dear, it is going
:12:23. > :12:40.to be yellow. Kicking the ball out of the ruck. Cornal Hendricks did
:12:41. > :12:46.very well. I thought he should have moved the ball. It means that South
:12:47. > :12:52.Africa are up to a lead here. That was the first play of the first half
:12:53. > :12:54.with a convergent to come. It is a well deserved lead, whether or not
:12:55. > :12:56.with a convergent to come. It is a well deserved lead, whether or it is
:12:57. > :13:04.well taken, five against seven on this situation. They couldn't stop
:13:05. > :13:15.him. Disastrous final two minutes of the half for Samoa. Two yellow cards
:13:16. > :13:19.in succession. Branco du Preez with the additional two point. Still it
:13:20. > :13:38.is only one try and they are right in this. In 15 aside if you lose a
:13:39. > :13:45.player for ten minutes, you can cope, but not in seven aside. For
:13:46. > :13:56.one minute there will only be five on the pitch, which is incredible.
:13:57. > :14:03.But I think O'Brien makes some wrong calls. The referee had to see it as
:14:04. > :14:20.he called it. They said foul play, and he didn't see. You won't be
:14:21. > :14:30.aware of this at home but there is something called the case camera in
:14:31. > :14:39.the stadium. -- kiss camera. I think we have missed the moment of truth!
:14:40. > :14:45.A little snob. As the players resume for the second half, Samoa, I don't
:14:46. > :14:56.know how long they will be down to 54, but what do you do? -- how long
:14:57. > :15:04.they will be down to five for. You do everything because you cannot
:15:05. > :15:08.defend five against seven, especially against an attacking side
:15:09. > :15:16.like South Africa. The next few minutes will be crucial for Samoa.
:15:17. > :15:24.Still in it, that is the thing. This will go very quickly. As we said
:15:25. > :15:29.yesterday, these matches can turn in the blink of an eye. And there is
:15:30. > :16:03.only one score in it. The winner of this plays New Zealand in the final.
:16:04. > :16:12.Stretching the Samoan defence. Christopher Dry runs towards the
:16:13. > :16:16.posts. We have seen some scintillating tries here and that
:16:17. > :16:20.has been one of the best today. The pass from Cecil Afrika. That is
:16:21. > :16:24.absolute power. The vision, pass from Cecil Afrika. That is
:16:25. > :16:30.strength. He has taken out four players were on the Samoan defence.
:16:31. > :16:35.He keeps on working. Into the hands of Christopher Dry on the outside.
:16:36. > :16:38.Powerful running, power rugby, quality rugby. This South African
:16:39. > :17:11.team, when they turn it on, they are very hard to stop. On Carnes
:17:12. > :17:15.Faalemiga Selesele. -- on comes. It looks like the two best teams from
:17:16. > :17:22.the World Series will be meeting in the Commonwealth Games final in
:17:23. > :17:27.Glasgow. In the history of the World Series, Samoa have scored 367 tries
:17:28. > :17:39.and South Africa 523. But Samoa were still have five
:17:40. > :17:41.minutes on the clock and that is plenty of time in a game of sevens
:17:42. > :18:26.to turn this around. Look how quick Kyle Brown got up.
:18:27. > :18:29.Great from South Africa. Look at the support on the inside. Stand up if
:18:30. > :18:37.you are watching at home! This is great play. Cecil Afrika! It is just
:18:38. > :18:44.the innate understanding that they have on this team. This is
:18:45. > :18:49.absolutely brilliant, textbook rugby. Two guys clean out. He uses
:18:50. > :18:55.therefore is to get the ball back on their side. Then it is about
:18:56. > :19:02.support. The players working for each other. Cecil Afrika with the
:19:03. > :19:07.big slam down. Definitely in the goal area and another seven points
:19:08. > :19:12.for South Africa. When you think Samoa are threatening to get back in
:19:13. > :19:15.the game, what do great teams do? Put you under pressure and South
:19:16. > :19:27.Africa have done that superbly tonight. What a display so far. When
:19:28. > :19:41.a cook comes in off the bench, he made his debut in 2013. -- Kok. He
:19:42. > :19:42.has always done something special on the pitch when he comes off the
:19:43. > :19:57.bench. What did I say? There is always
:19:58. > :20:07.something that happens when Kok gets his hands on the ball. Very good.
:20:08. > :20:13.First touch, one try, thanks for coming! First with a left foot and
:20:14. > :20:20.then the right. That is why we call it rugby football.
:20:21. > :20:39.Totally dominant second-half performance by the South African
:20:40. > :20:47.side here. The two Samoan yellow cards, even if they had had a full
:20:48. > :20:52.complement, the way that South Africa are controlling this ball, it
:20:53. > :20:55.has got to be admired. That is the keyword. This game is all about
:20:56. > :20:59.control, controlling the ball and possession. It is so easy with the
:21:00. > :21:24.ball in hand. I have not mentioned the Samoan
:21:25. > :21:28.coach. We have seen a change in the way Samoa have played this
:21:29. > :22:06.tournament, maybe building bridges. There he is.
:22:07. > :22:21.We still have 30 seconds left on the clock and Samoa are giving it
:22:22. > :22:29.everything. He ran into a blind alley then, Seabelo Senatla. Bundled
:22:30. > :22:31.into touch. Samoa going for the attack to finish the game with a
:22:32. > :22:49.flourish. Turnover ball. Warm applause echoes
:22:50. > :22:57.around Ibrox. That is Warren Whiteley. That wry smile on the left
:22:58. > :23:07.of your picture. The youngster has come into this squad from the Bolden
:23:08. > :23:13.Lions. He played in 2011. No risks need to be taken by South Africa.
:23:14. > :23:14.Take the ball and kick it out. Easy on the late tackles! We are
:23:15. > :23:24.finishing the game. rugby year. They will go towards the
:23:25. > :23:50.gold Samoa will play Australia in the
:23:51. > :23:54.bronze match. Confirmation that South Africa in control, winning by
:23:55. > :24:05.35 points to seven. Goodness me, that was much more
:24:06. > :24:08.emphatic than we might have thought. South Africa were awesome. That is
:24:09. > :24:11.the most complete performance we have seen in the whole tournament.
:24:12. > :24:18.They go into the final against New Zealand, who have never lost any
:24:19. > :24:24.game. But I think South Africa might be the best team. It is very
:24:25. > :24:30.difficult against the New Zealand side. They have tremendous
:24:31. > :24:35.individuals and that pace. South Africa are very sharp and they do
:24:36. > :24:43.something out of nothing. The structured physicality of the New
:24:44. > :24:46.Zealanders, they will plan it. The Titans will know which way to beat
:24:47. > :24:52.this South African side. It will be a fascinating final. A battle
:24:53. > :24:57.between flair and efficiency, and the flair comes from South Africa
:24:58. > :25:03.and not New Zealand. Very unusual. That has won so many tournaments
:25:04. > :25:11.over so many years. They have the tactical magician with Gordon to get
:25:12. > :25:14.them through it. We have the best two teams in the Commonwealth Games
:25:15. > :25:20.rugby sevens contesting the final and that is a good thing. We have
:25:21. > :25:23.four matches left. The junior finals will between Trinidad and Tobago and
:25:24. > :25:25.the Cook Islands. Then Wales will play England and we will show you
:25:26. > :25:31.that match at 8:38pm. play England and we will show you
:25:32. > :25:34.bronze level match with Samoa. There is a bronze medal that is at stake
:25:35. > :25:38.and you want that on your is a bronze medal that is at stake
:25:39. > :25:42.mantelpiece. That was a bit of a thumping that Samoa got and you
:25:43. > :25:46.wonder how they will take it? They will have less time to recover than
:25:47. > :25:52.Australia so that will have an influence. I just think the final
:25:53. > :25:57.could be a fantastic game of rugby. They play in the World Series, but
:25:58. > :26:00.on this occasion there is a Commonwealth gold medal at stake.
:26:01. > :26:05.And that had something special to it. It will be a fantastic final
:26:06. > :26:10.with two great sides. If the camera can look at the touchline, you can
:26:11. > :26:17.see the South Africans having a long and serious gathering. This is a big
:26:18. > :26:21.moment for them. What is the time difference? A couple of hours
:26:22. > :26:25.ahead. The final will be after midnight in South Africa but there
:26:26. > :26:28.will be a huge television audience for that. I should mention that
:26:29. > :26:35.Glasgow high school playing Dundee high school in the hiatus between
:26:36. > :26:41.the finals. At one of these two is a former pupil from Dundee. I don't
:26:42. > :26:48.know which! They had a fantastic end to the season and they played in the
:26:49. > :26:53.tournament really well. There are rewards was to play in front of
:26:54. > :26:58.45,000 at Ibrox and that is great for both sides. Lovely idea. Let's
:26:59. > :27:06.have a chat with Cecil Afrika. Great name first of all, but fantastic
:27:07. > :27:09.rugby player, too. Inspiration for this South African team, driving
:27:10. > :27:14.them into the final of the Commonwealth Games sevens against
:27:15. > :27:33.New Zealand. Lovely to meet you. How do you feel you are playing at the
:27:34. > :27:38.moment? Lovely to meet you. South Africa against New Zealand is always
:27:39. > :27:45.special. It has mostly been them but sometimes you, where do you think
:27:46. > :27:54.the balance of power is tonight? It is a lovely and unique game. We are
:27:55. > :28:01.going to go out there and do our best. A gold medal is at stake. We
:28:02. > :28:13.are looking forward to it massively. Thank you. South Africa for you in
:28:14. > :28:18.the final? I am going to go to South Africa. I am going to stick with New
:28:19. > :28:22.Zealand. We were hoping it would build up to that if we couldn't have
:28:23. > :28:31.a home nation in the final. Don't miss it later tonight. Thank you
:28:32. > :28:36.very much. It has been wonderful entertainment at Ibrox. The gold
:28:37. > :28:41.medal match will be on BBC1 at 9:30pm. A warm welcome to BBC
:28:42. > :28:49.Three's coverage of the Commonwealth Games. Thanks to Lee McKenzie for
:28:50. > :28:59.the last few hours. So much to come between now and ten o'clock. Plenty
:29:00. > :29:07.more of the fast-paced rugby sevens as we bring you the plate final and
:29:08. > :29:12.the bronze medal match. The squash has reached the semifinal stage. We
:29:13. > :29:20.will bring you the best of the action as Laura Massaro takes on
:29:21. > :29:24.Jane Walters. The home nations are once again in the ring. Rhys
:29:25. > :29:30.McFadden and Charlie Edwards. We will speak to Zoe Smith about her
:29:31. > :29:41.gold medal in the weightlifting and that celebration. Here we are, based
:29:42. > :29:47.on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow, as we are well and truly

:30:03. > :30:07.the pick of them. All of the best swimming will be on BBC1 including
:30:08. > :30:15.Fran Halsall and Liam Tancock going for gold. It is semifinal time in
:30:16. > :30:21.the squash. We will be bringing you that shortly but it is in full
:30:22. > :30:29.online. England V India right now on the red button. The semifinals of
:30:30. > :30:32.the mixed team badminton. Also on the red button it is England V India
:30:33. > :30:41.in the men's team semifinals of the table tennis. If you have been glued
:30:42. > :30:46.to any of the sports on view here at the Commonwealth Games, you might
:30:47. > :30:58.want to take part. All the information is on the website.
:30:59. > :31:02.Talking of inspiration, you do not have to look much further than
:31:03. > :31:08.20-year-old weightlifter from England Zoe Smith. Four years ago
:31:09. > :31:13.she bagged a bronze in Delhi. Since then she has carried the weight of
:31:14. > :31:17.expectation out of the gym. When she closed in on gold last night, it was
:31:18. > :31:32.great to see that she did disappoint. -- didn't disappoint.
:31:33. > :31:46.COMMENTATOR: Zoe Smith for England. A very speedy lift. She dominated
:31:47. > :31:57.it. Three kilograms entry up to 92. Didn't hold it for very long but she
:31:58. > :32:07.did get it. 92 kilos! What she needs is a good lift here. This will do
:32:08. > :32:17.nicely. Almost. That is OK, she has a very strong clean and jerk. She is
:32:18. > :32:23.a great text. She is a great tweeter. She's probably tweeting to
:32:24. > :32:29.her fans right now and it is what gets her in the zone. Zoe Smith on
:32:30. > :32:40.112 kilos. This is to go straight into the lead. Zoe Smith right now
:32:41. > :32:46.is really in the drivers seat. She is putting the pressure on all of
:32:47. > :32:56.the other lifters. She is throwing that bar over her head no problem.
:32:57. > :33:00.This is where she loves to be. Zoe, right now going for a record.
:33:01. > :33:10.Certain that she has got the gold medal. This for the icing on the
:33:11. > :33:24.cake. Yes! What a great way to finish the day! Zoe Smith is
:33:25. > :33:30.champion of the Commonwealth. Great scenes. As you can see, Zoe Smith
:33:31. > :33:36.joins me now. How do you reflect on that? It is the first time I have
:33:37. > :33:40.watched more than three seconds of my competition. Great feeling. I was
:33:41. > :33:48.obviously very happy as you can tell by the jumping and face. Watching it
:33:49. > :33:55.back is for me. Amazing on so many levels. You just lifted 18 stone and
:33:56. > :33:59.then you left yourself through the last couple of seconds with the
:34:00. > :34:06.weight above you. You clearly knew that it was yours at that moment. I
:34:07. > :34:11.have done 118 kilos in training before and in competition I knew I
:34:12. > :34:17.could do it. It was just making sure I got a safe lift in to break the
:34:18. > :34:22.record and get the gold. When I held it above my head and I was still in
:34:23. > :34:28.there, I thought I have got it, I couldn't put it down, I was so
:34:29. > :34:35.relieved. You started in gymnastics. Hence the backflip. Gymnasts would
:34:36. > :34:44.probably have something to say about it. Yes, I used to be about I used
:34:45. > :34:51.to be a pretty bad gymnast. A failed gymnast as I like to say. I was
:34:52. > :34:58.training at a gymnastic club in south east London, Kent kind of way.
:34:59. > :35:04.The way they got me into the weights was because they said I wouldn't get
:35:05. > :35:08.in with gymnastics but I might with weightlifting. It was a throwaway
:35:09. > :35:12.line at the time but it has come true. I have got a Commonwealth
:35:13. > :35:21.Games gold medal, what more could I want? Have you peaked at 20? I
:35:22. > :35:28.really hope I haven't. I want to go on and do a lot more in my career.
:35:29. > :35:35.Next to the Gold Coast and I hope to be in my peak at Tokyo in 2020,
:35:36. > :35:41.strength wise. It is all to go really. What was going through your
:35:42. > :35:47.mind when you were on the podium with the flags being raised and
:35:48. > :35:51.everybody cheering you on? It took me back to school days. They were
:35:52. > :35:55.playing Jerusalem and I was humming under my breath and it took me back
:35:56. > :36:00.to being back at grammar school, where I was not so long ago sitting
:36:01. > :36:05.in assembly having to sing Jerusalem. It made me a little bit
:36:06. > :36:14.emotional, reminding me of the whole journey I have been through. It was
:36:15. > :36:18.just really emotional. You started at 16 in the Delhi Commonwealth
:36:19. > :36:23.Games. What made you start in weightlifting to begin with? Like I
:36:24. > :36:28.said, I was a failed gymnast and they used this line to get me into
:36:29. > :36:35.the gym to have a go at weightlifting. They needed someone
:36:36. > :36:44.for the London youth games. As a girl. You needed to have two boys
:36:45. > :36:48.and one girl. I was always very powerful and good at tumbling. But I
:36:49. > :36:53.never had the grace and flexibility to be a good gymnast. I thought I
:36:54. > :36:59.would give it a go. It could play to my strengths. My mother used to be
:37:00. > :37:04.very involved in martial arts. She likes strength sports and stuff. I
:37:05. > :37:10.thought I might be good at it and gave it a go and really enjoyed it.
:37:11. > :37:19.You are a laid-back character. You have a nickname from your trainer.
:37:20. > :37:24.It is becoming my middle name. After Pablo Lara. He was a Cuban
:37:25. > :37:30.weightlifter. My coach said he had seen a video of him in a hammock
:37:31. > :37:34.between sets and getting up and doing a phenomenal lift and then
:37:35. > :37:42.going back for a snooze. It is the approach I like to take in training.
:37:43. > :37:47.What are you going to be doing now? I am going to carry on supporting my
:37:48. > :37:53.team. Every girl in my room has finished today. We are just going to
:37:54. > :37:59.hit up the food hall. It is 24 hours for free food. We are just going to
:38:00. > :38:03.leave here three stone heavier than when we came. Other than that, I am
:38:04. > :38:09.going to try to see as many sports as I can. I really want to get down
:38:10. > :38:15.to the athletics. If anyone has a spare ticket, let me know.
:38:16. > :38:20.Everybody, a round of applause. We have got a gold medallist in our
:38:21. > :38:25.midst. Let's bring you some squash action now here on BBC Three. The
:38:26. > :38:31.first women's semifinal took place today. It was between the top seed
:38:32. > :38:46.Nicol David and Joelle King of New Zealand. It was Nicol who reached
:38:47. > :38:53.another world final. We can bring you now the second semifinal which
:38:54. > :39:07.was an all English affair between Alison Walter and Laura Massaro who
:39:08. > :39:10.is the current world champion. If you were to describe squash to
:39:11. > :39:17.somebody who doesn't really know the sport, how would you describe it?
:39:18. > :39:23.Chess at 1 million miles an hour. It is fast, furious and hard work.
:39:24. > :39:29.Endurance, technical work. The reason I love to play squash is that
:39:30. > :39:36.it has so many different aspects to the game. That is the aspect of my
:39:37. > :39:43.sport but I love to play. This is your second Commonwealth Games. Just
:39:44. > :39:52.describe your experience? I was planning for what I was at the time,
:39:53. > :39:58.I was eighth in the world. I went on to win silver with my doubles
:39:59. > :40:04.partner Jenny Dunn calf. We will be playing together this time around.
:40:05. > :40:10.We will be trying to do a lot better in both events. You have really gone
:40:11. > :40:17.from strength to strength in the last year or so. It has been a
:40:18. > :40:22.phenomenal year for me. Four years ago in Delhi, if you would have said
:40:23. > :40:25.I'd be going in as world champion and world number two, and number two
:40:26. > :40:32.seed for the individual event, I probably wouldn't have believed you.
:40:33. > :40:36.It has been an amazing year. I never thought I would have won the title
:40:37. > :40:46.is that I have. I want to take it in my stride as much as I can and keep
:40:47. > :40:54.improving all the time. In Delhi, you were 26. Now you are 30. How
:40:55. > :41:00.come you are a better player now? I have no idea. Part of me thought it
:41:01. > :41:04.was never going to happen. My career was always a success but I wanted to
:41:05. > :41:12.hit the pinnacle and try to become world number one. To win a world
:41:13. > :41:20.open, to hit those targets is amazing. You didn't experience
:41:21. > :41:28.London 2012 like a lot of your team-mates. Is this London for you?
:41:29. > :41:33.It is definitely our Olympics. In terms of medals and everything you
:41:34. > :41:38.can achieve. Squash is very strong as a Commonwealth is to. A lot of
:41:39. > :41:44.players in the world are going to be at the games in Glasgow. That is
:41:45. > :41:48.going to be something extra special. You are doing something on a world
:41:49. > :41:58.level, not just a Commonwealth level. It makes it harder to win but
:41:59. > :42:05.it makes it more prestigious. So to the all English battle. Laura
:42:06. > :42:22.Massaro against Alison Walters. They are reaching the conclusion of the
:42:23. > :42:58.second game. COMMENTATOR: Here it comes. She has got the stroke. She
:42:59. > :43:04.is not impressed. 11-11. She can choose where she is going to serve.
:43:05. > :43:08.I think she thought the score was wrong and that she was in the lead
:43:09. > :43:16.having got the stroke. I think that was the confusion. She just saved
:43:17. > :44:03.the game, the video review helped her saved the game.
:44:04. > :44:12.Well, she could have played the ball. It looked like she had plenty
:44:13. > :44:18.of room. It is so important. No wonder we are getting plenty of
:44:19. > :44:20.lets. The crowd feel for Laura. You can understand that. Game ball
:44:21. > :44:57.again. Third time. Excellent rally from Laura! Great
:44:58. > :45:00.control. Game point down, you really have to hold your nerves and that
:45:01. > :45:25.was a really great rally from Laura Massaro.
:45:26. > :45:42.Missed it! A real surprise. Unusual for Laura. We have had the whole
:45:43. > :46:05.gamut of emotion here. Fourth game point now for Alison Waters.
:46:06. > :46:22.She has got it! There is going to be a video review. It is not over.
:46:23. > :46:28.Video review on the stroke decision towards us. It went against Laura
:46:29. > :46:33.Massaro the last time. Can you get back to the court for the video
:46:34. > :46:35.review? She is going back but with no racket. I assume she thinks the
:46:36. > :46:50.decision will be upheld. Well, they were all smiles when they
:46:51. > :46:55.came on court, two women who know each other very well, but they are
:46:56. > :47:05.fighting like demons now and you can understand it. Stroke was the call
:47:06. > :47:12.given. I will be amazed if it is changed but you never know.
:47:13. > :47:34.There it is. And it is one game each. 14-12 to Alison Waters. One
:47:35. > :47:39.game all. Quite a thrilling and full of controversy. So many lets and a
:47:40. > :47:55.couple of strokes given at the end. We are at one game each.
:47:56. > :48:04.Well, she was looking out played at the start of that game, six - one.
:48:05. > :48:07.Laura will be kicking itself because she was in total control of the
:48:08. > :48:45.match and now she is right in the middle of a game.
:48:46. > :48:52.Well, Laura Massaro was in total control at one stage and she has
:48:53. > :48:56.rested that control away. One of the England coaches was saying to Alison
:48:57. > :49:02.that she can't go out there and blasted. She has to do it in
:49:03. > :49:06.patches, consolidate, then go hard again and consolidate. Build on the
:49:07. > :49:13.game that way instead of trying to win it flat out. We will see if she
:49:14. > :49:17.is able to do that. But Laura Massaro in total control of the
:49:18. > :49:22.first game and the first half of the second game. I kind of felt it was
:49:23. > :49:33.make or break for Alison, she had to get stuck in, go for some shots, mix
:49:34. > :49:38.up the match ibid. -- a bit. There was in two straight or different
:49:39. > :49:42.about her game and she when mixed things up, it took Laura Massaro out
:49:43. > :49:47.of her groove and then the match got interesting. She needs to do the
:49:48. > :49:53.same again. She can't afford to keep going in going drive, drive, drive.
:49:54. > :50:06.She has two throw some more shots in and that will make the difference.
:50:07. > :50:10.-- she has to throw. I can't imagine things will be very different in
:50:11. > :50:13.game number three. It will be fascinating to see how Alison Waters
:50:14. > :50:19.plays this. I think it will only get more feisty. Both of these girls
:50:20. > :50:30.will want to get through to the gold and silver medal match. To lose now
:50:31. > :50:43.is a real blow. Water is fourth in Delhi, the worst possible place to
:50:44. > :50:44.be. -- Waters. Laura Massaro was one place behind and now the favourite
:50:45. > :51:51.at one game all. The best of five. Yes, Laura Massaro waiting and
:51:52. > :51:55.waiting to hit her shop. Get her out of position. Very effective. Good
:51:56. > :52:03.start after the disappointment of losing the second game.
:52:04. > :52:26.How many rackets would she take courtside? Probably five or six, I
:52:27. > :52:31.would think. In a match you can break two or three strings. None are
:52:32. > :52:36.broken and I think she must have cracked the head of the racket. You
:52:37. > :52:42.can lose tension then, so you need to change straightaway. But five or
:52:43. > :52:46.six rackets, depending on the player. Same tension? Everything
:52:47. > :53:04.will be the same, the grips and the strings.
:53:05. > :53:52.Perhaps a little lucky to get away with that little let. Second best in
:53:53. > :54:16.the rally. She is getting opportunities in the
:54:17. > :54:21.front court, Alison Waters, and not able to take them. It is easy to say
:54:22. > :54:26.from here why does she miss them? But the pressure is on. She wants to
:54:27. > :54:32.get their head and is trying to take the opportunities that is playing
:54:33. > :54:49.too tight. -- get ahead. She needs more leeway.
:54:50. > :55:03.Stroke to Laura Massaro. Appeal. Video recording. She had better be
:55:04. > :55:20.right to make the appeal so early on.
:55:21. > :55:26.Well, very similar to the one we had before. I would be surprised if it
:55:27. > :55:54.is changed. The original decision was stroke and
:55:55. > :56:17.it stays that way. Alison Waters has no reviews remaining. 6-0.
:56:18. > :56:22.Well played. Little glance back to see where Laura Massaro was and a
:56:23. > :57:07.beautiful shot into the corner. Massaro playing with a lot of
:57:08. > :57:11.confidence, playing more smoothly. She is pushing up the court. It is
:57:12. > :57:19.noticeable when a player takes charge. It is looking for the
:57:20. > :58:18.opportunity, which ultimately opens up the court.
:58:19. > :58:39.Brilliant shot. Interesting. It was a superb kill. But no appeal.
:58:40. > :58:52.Brilliant shot. Interesting. It was go for the net? She is. This is
:58:53. > :59:13.terrific from Massaro now. She is playing with a lot more confidence.
:59:14. > :59:23.Great running by Laura. Stroke to Massaro. Yes. It is a bit of a
:59:24. > :59:33.shame. It is a great rally but Laura looking for that one. She could have
:59:34. > :59:39.played the shot at any time. Unfortunately, Alison is in her
:59:40. > :59:51.swing and it is her stroke. She knows the game. She knows what the
:59:52. > :00:01.officials might do. First error for a long time. Walter 's supporters
:00:02. > :00:51.are starting to get a little bit more animated.
:00:52. > :01:01.Is this a squash match or a boxing match, I wonder. She is over egging
:01:02. > :01:08.the pudding. There was no need for a push quite like that. I think a bit
:01:09. > :01:16.of frustration on Alison's part. That really was a show. Not
:01:17. > :01:47.necessary, really. Seven game points. -- really was a shove. Laura
:01:48. > :01:52.Massaro reasserts herself here. It is a big start and she never
:01:53. > :01:58.relinquished it. She goes to her chair leading 2-1. She really was in
:01:59. > :02:03.charge for most of that game. Exactly. I think she went back on
:02:04. > :02:11.court after losing her second knowing her game plan and she stuck
:02:12. > :02:16.to it. Much more positive. She is just going to disappear and change
:02:17. > :02:23.her shirt. Much more positive. More aggressive on the ball. Looking for
:02:24. > :02:28.the opportunities again. In the second game she was laying back a
:02:29. > :02:42.bit. She was allowing Alison to dominate a bit more. To take
:02:43. > :02:49.advantage of the T. Whereas this time she was prepared to push Alison
:02:50. > :02:53.back and make the most of the opportunity. More assertiveness in
:02:54. > :02:58.that game. She became a bit tentative in the second game.
:02:59. > :03:03.Possibly, a bit of pressure creeping in that second game cost her a few
:03:04. > :03:08.points. In that third game, she really was on the money. She knew
:03:09. > :03:16.what she was trying to do. She just implemented it to the letter. Really
:03:17. > :03:21.good fence. Her defence was really good as well. Tight to the wall.
:03:22. > :03:29.That makes all the difference if you do not give your opponent the
:03:30. > :03:35.angles. The moment you put those into play, you are in all sorts of
:03:36. > :03:39.troubles. You have to negate those angles. Keep it nice and deep and
:03:40. > :03:45.then when you open up, jump on it and take your opportunity. It was
:03:46. > :03:56.that kind of balance that she was displaying so well in the third
:03:57. > :04:01.game. So the number two seed, just a game away from her first final in
:04:02. > :04:31.the Commonwealth Games. First singles final. She has got to the
:04:32. > :04:36.doubles final. Runners-up with Jenny Duncalf in Delhi in 2010. This would
:04:37. > :04:44.mean so much to her. She has achieved so much. Waters, how is she
:04:45. > :04:48.going to turn this around? Has to show some of the form she showed
:04:49. > :05:22.when she really took hold of that second game.
:05:23. > :05:33.Again, so tight to the wall. No let given. I just feel that Alison is
:05:34. > :05:39.far more consumed with not getting a let or a situation that is going on
:05:40. > :05:44.on court rather than focusing on her game and concentrating on what she'd
:05:45. > :05:49.need to do to win the match. She is slightly angry about the things that
:05:50. > :06:08.are not important as opposed to the things that are.
:06:09. > :06:14.are not important as opposed to the defence. That is one of the things
:06:15. > :06:19.that Laura has really improved on. Her mental attitude. She's really
:06:20. > :06:25.good, even when she has had a bit of a blip. She doesn't play the next
:06:26. > :06:29.point like she has had a bad point prior to that. She really does
:06:30. > :06:38.concentrate. I think that has been a really big improvement in her game.
:06:39. > :06:46.She is clasping at straws asking for let's like that, Alison Waters. Her
:06:47. > :06:51.whole body language is very different to the way she started the
:06:52. > :07:05.match. Shoulders down. She is trying to pep herself bouncing up and down.
:07:06. > :07:40.This is racing away from her now. Laura Massaro has total confidence.
:07:41. > :08:10.Sporting. Making the decision that the ball wasn't up before the
:08:11. > :08:22.officials. But it is 6-0. Oh yes. Love that. Great shot. She came back
:08:23. > :08:26.from 6-1 down in the second game and won it. Can't see it happening this
:08:27. > :08:40.time around but that was good. Total deception. Often when you are
:08:41. > :08:47.playing that well, luck goes with you. Well, it does. I think at the
:08:48. > :08:53.moment Laura Massaro is in total control. I cannot see Alison coming
:08:54. > :08:59.back from this. She doesn't look positive enough to me. Disappointing
:09:00. > :09:11.to see that she doesn't seem that positive about the fact that she is
:09:12. > :09:26.still in the match. It has got to be now or never. No need to go for
:09:27. > :09:33.those shops. I don't think so. It is difficult. 7-2. She is only four
:09:34. > :09:38.points away. She smells the winning line and it sometimes gets the
:09:39. > :09:53.better of you. She has just got to stay focused and keep under control.
:09:54. > :10:19.Alison is just not happy at all. She is a picture of frustration at the
:10:20. > :10:24.moment. Well, that looked great. It is nice to see her attacking.
:10:25. > :10:32.Sometimes, when you feel you are down and out of a match, you kind of
:10:33. > :10:42.just let go and relax and just play. Really, that is what she needs to
:10:43. > :10:58.do. Nearly a nasty moment. Ideal boast from Massaro. Well, it was a
:10:59. > :11:05.great shot by Laura. How lucky was that? Oh dear. A complete mis-hit.
:11:06. > :11:10.She could not have placed it any better. She could do with all the
:11:11. > :11:25.help she can get at the moment, so that is a good way. Lovely. So here,
:11:26. > :11:47.five match points. For a place in the final. It did look out. Stop!
:11:48. > :11:54.The ball was out. We called it out. After Alison Waters had appointed
:11:55. > :12:13.that it was out. I think it was out. They were rather late calling it. It
:12:14. > :12:20.was a close one. Well played. Hanging in there. That is just the
:12:21. > :12:24.kind of play we have been calling for. In the front court. If she is
:12:25. > :12:32.going to get back into this match, it is what she has to do. Take the
:12:33. > :12:53.opportunities when they are there. Cannot let them go. An appeal.
:12:54. > :13:03.I think probably it was a let. In the general scheme of things, the
:13:04. > :13:06.way this has been going, you think it probably was. A bit ambitious
:13:07. > :13:17.thinking she could get in front there. I think so. A couple of feet
:13:18. > :13:27.away from a side ward, not -- sidewall, not clinging to one so
:13:28. > :13:31.probably a let ball. And if she doesn't get it, the match is over.
:13:32. > :13:53.It is that important. Is she hanging on? Yes. Decision upheld. Yes, let.
:13:54. > :14:32.No doubt about that one. It is getting very tense here.
:14:33. > :14:42.Yes, not enough width that time from Massaro and three match balls have
:14:43. > :14:43.been saved. You wonder whether or not the nerves are coming into play
:14:44. > :15:19.from Laura. It is Laura Massaro who goes through
:15:20. > :15:22.to the final. She will play Nicol David in the final. The numbers one
:15:23. > :15:30.and two seeds will contest the final.
:15:31. > :15:32.Well done to Laura Massaro, the defending World Champion, through to
:15:33. > :15:38.the Commonwealth final where she will battle for gold of course. We
:15:39. > :15:44.are back at Pacific Quay just outside BBC Scotland where the bases
:15:45. > :15:54.for Glasgow 2014. BBC Live divides all kinds of entertainment. We have
:15:55. > :16:00.had Simple Minds. And we have these guys all the way from South Africa.
:16:01. > :16:05.You perform soul, Jazz, R, and traditional songs from South
:16:06. > :16:11.Africa, do you? Yes, all kinds of styles and our music. We do not box
:16:12. > :16:17.ourselves in one genre. We are versatile in terms of genre. Are you
:16:18. > :16:21.taking in the vibe of the Commonwealth Games? Very much. South
:16:22. > :16:28.Africa have just scored right now. Very nice. What have been your
:16:29. > :16:33.highlights? You have been here for three months. Yes, quite some time.
:16:34. > :16:39.One of the highlights was performing here on stage. The crowd was very
:16:40. > :16:44.lively. And you have more performances to come between now and
:16:45. > :16:49.September. Yes, we are performing at the fringe, from the first to the
:16:50. > :16:50.25th. We are performing at our main venue and if you want to come and
:16:51. > :16:55.see us, you will be amazed. OK, venue and if you want to come and
:16:56. > :17:15.amaze us now with a rendition of your finest. All right!
:17:16. > :17:36.At Kelvingrove, Natalie Melmore was hoping to retain her singles title
:17:37. > :17:40.in lawn bowls for England just hours before her 25th birthday but it was
:17:41. > :17:51.not to be because Jo Edwards won by 21 to 15.
:17:52. > :17:57.Time to bring you some boxing now from the SECC. The fight took place
:17:58. > :18:03.earlier today. Reece McFadden of Scotland has his eyes on a medal in
:18:04. > :18:07.his home Games. He completed a major upset in the last round by dispatch
:18:08. > :18:13.in one of the favourites for Commonwealth gold, Andrew Selby of
:18:14. > :18:14.Wales. He was taking on Charlie Edwards of England in the flyweight
:18:15. > :18:23.division. Here we go, the first of the
:18:24. > :18:33.scheduled three three-minute rounds. The flyweight division. Charlie
:18:34. > :18:40.Edwards competing in his first bout of the contest having received a bye
:18:41. > :18:43.into the second round. His opponent is 19-year-old Reece McFadden.
:18:44. > :18:52.Waging war immediately, getting through a good right jab. It will be
:18:53. > :18:57.interesting to see if Reece McFadden employs the same tactics as he did
:18:58. > :19:01.against Selby. He seemed to wait for him to strike and caught him on the
:19:02. > :19:05.way out. Clever tactics from the young Scotsmen. Whether he will do
:19:06. > :19:15.that against Charlie Edwards, who has a different style, remains to be
:19:16. > :19:20.seen. Reece McFadden having a success with his forward forays. He
:19:21. > :19:35.has turned orthodox momentarily. He is having success with the jab. Just
:19:36. > :19:49.over a minute gone in the opening round.
:19:50. > :20:11.Edwards was stalking flat-footed for a few moments. Those boxes looking
:20:12. > :20:16.for openings, plenty of feinting. Edwards is just waiting, probably
:20:17. > :20:21.waiting for the Scots to come in on the front foot so he can do the
:20:22. > :20:27.countering. Both men reigning champions of their respective
:20:28. > :20:32.nations. Good shot to the body countered immediately by a shot to
:20:33. > :20:35.the head from Edwards. McFadden to the national title earlier this year
:20:36. > :20:39.and Charlie Edwards did the same thing in Liverpool in a high quality
:20:40. > :20:43.contest, as good as I have seen in recent years, against Jack Bates.
:20:44. > :20:48.Nip and tuck all the way with Edwards, who came out on top, and
:20:49. > :20:52.that was crucial for securing his passage through to this tournament
:20:53. > :21:08.to where the English best in the flyweight division. -- to wearing
:21:09. > :21:11.the English vest. He is not used to boxing so unorthodox. McFadden has
:21:12. > :21:18.two watch what he is doing. The crowd are behind him but he is
:21:19. > :21:23.making mistakes. Closing stages of this opening round. An exchange to
:21:24. > :21:28.end the round between the two. Edwards pleased with his work,
:21:29. > :21:32.pumping his right fist. Quite a close round to score. I think they
:21:33. > :21:43.will be fairly pleased in the blue corner. Reece McFadden coming
:21:44. > :21:50.forward. Deep. Not too bad. This is another angle. Three shots going in
:21:51. > :22:00.from McFadden. Towards the end of that round, starting to make his own
:22:01. > :22:05.work. A close one to score. Both men have had moments of success but all
:22:06. > :22:11.three judges favoured McFadden over Charlie ages. Mike Keenan issuing
:22:12. > :22:25.instructions. Into the second round we go. Reece
:22:26. > :22:29.McFadden, the reigning national champion, has taken the opening
:22:30. > :22:36.round in unanimous passion over his English counterpart. On the
:22:37. > :22:39.Frankfurt from the Scottish man. Having some success from his forward
:22:40. > :22:56.forays. -- on the front foot. The left hand was more correctly
:22:57. > :23:02.thrown from McFadden in that exchange. Edwards is just 21 but in
:23:03. > :23:13.2011, his first senior national tournament, he... Good response from
:23:14. > :23:17.the crowd for that. He took a European championship bronze medal,
:23:18. > :23:20.with a terrific movement from the junior to the senior ranks, and
:23:21. > :23:32.coming away with that bronze medal in Turkey. That was that light
:23:33. > :23:34.flyweight 49 kilograms. When McFadden is fighting against the
:23:35. > :23:38.majority of his opponents, he gives away height and reach but he does it
:23:39. > :23:47.well. He crouches back and waits for his opportunity. Edwards is
:23:48. > :23:50.struggling to establish that jab. Trying to lead of the jab and then
:23:51. > :23:55.go back to his opponent and it is not quite happening yet for Charlie
:23:56. > :24:03.Edwards. This is his first bout in the Commonwealth Games. McFadden has
:24:04. > :24:07.experienced this atmosphere before, an atmosphere which Charlie Edwards
:24:08. > :24:17.will embrace, but he has got to find his rhythm and timing.
:24:18. > :24:26.McFadden with the advantage of having a bout under his belt. Into
:24:27. > :24:33.his rhythm. Left hand from Edwards, that single jab was not too far
:24:34. > :24:44.away. McFadden switching to the orthodox. I think Edwards has got to
:24:45. > :24:48.apply more pressure here. McFadden is comfortable sitting back and
:24:49. > :24:51.waiting. He is picking off the English man with those shots, mainly
:24:52. > :24:56.because he has been given the room and space to do that, and the time.
:24:57. > :25:04.We need a change of tactics from Edwards. He has two up the tempo and
:25:05. > :25:15.put his opponent under pressure. In the closing seconds of this round,
:25:16. > :25:20.just over the top. The two boxers separated. Working to the body and
:25:21. > :25:24.the referee allowing him to do so. Edwards likes what he did but smiles
:25:25. > :25:35.on the face of Reece McFadden as well because he got some double shot
:25:36. > :25:42.success. Successful with ones and twos. He went for him a little bit
:25:43. > :25:47.but here he is waiting and waiting too long. That allows McFadden to
:25:48. > :25:51.score. And on that exchange again with that left hand. He is happy at
:25:52. > :26:00.the end of that round. Another close one. I am not going to argue with
:26:01. > :26:05.that, all going for McFadden. Two rounds completed and both have gone
:26:06. > :26:12.in the favour of Reece McFadden, in a good position as we wait for the
:26:13. > :26:14.bell for the third round. Letting Charlie Edwards note the status.
:26:15. > :26:23.Going to have Charlie Edwards note the status.
:26:24. > :26:31.this third and final round. We move into round three. Charlie Edwards
:26:32. > :26:38.trailing 2-0. He takes a hard left hand as the referee tries to come
:26:39. > :26:45.between them to issue instructions about punching correctly. First and
:26:46. > :26:50.third from Edwards was lovely. The jab, the range finding. Just moved
:26:51. > :27:00.out of range again and brought his opponent onto a long left hook. He
:27:01. > :27:04.needs more of that, does Edwards. The year when he won the bronze
:27:05. > :27:11.medal at senior level, Reece McFadden was emanating that feat as
:27:12. > :27:17.junior, getting a junior championship bronze. More roaring
:27:18. > :27:22.from the crowd but their heads are clashing at close quarters. A bit
:27:23. > :27:27.scrappy and they have to watch that. Nobody wants to sustain a cut.
:27:28. > :27:37.Good from McFadden once more. The decibel level is beginning to
:27:38. > :27:41.rise in the SECC with cries of Scotland, Scotland, drowning out
:27:42. > :27:52.everything else. A sizeable English contingent here as well. That is
:27:53. > :28:03.better from Edwards. The first round has dictated the tactics for the
:28:04. > :28:07.next two rounds. Charlie's father is in attendance here. I had a
:28:08. > :28:13.conversation with him and he said that he was feeling good. He is in a
:28:14. > :28:17.difficult position because he has conceded the opening two rounds and
:28:18. > :28:25.the clock is ticking down. Reece McFadden has boxed very well.
:28:26. > :28:30.Keeping out of harms way and having success in the exchanges with his
:28:31. > :28:36.vast counters. Edwards is trying to close the distance. He is difficult
:28:37. > :28:41.to get to, McFadden. He stays back and then he comes in with very fast
:28:42. > :28:58.counters. It is a very difficult style to box against. Inside the
:28:59. > :29:04.final 30 seconds. Edwards remaining patient trying to fashion an opening
:29:05. > :29:12.but the clock is in favour of the Scotsman. That is much better work
:29:13. > :29:20.from Edwards. A furious exchange to conclude this third round. But as
:29:21. > :29:27.the bell sounds, both boxers raise their arms immediately. Rhys
:29:28. > :29:34.McFadden took the opening two rounds in unanimous fashion. You see his
:29:35. > :29:45.pensive face. I suspect they think their man has been eliminated.
:29:46. > :29:49.Charlie Edwards has come up against an inspired Reece McFadden. We will
:29:50. > :29:56.go to the score cards but I suspect that Edwards has not done enough to
:29:57. > :30:01.turn it around. A scrappy display by both boxers. I think Edwards should
:30:02. > :30:11.have applied more pressure. The counters from McFadden have been the
:30:12. > :30:14.difference. Ladies and gentlemen, a fantastic opening contest. Let's
:30:15. > :30:23.hear it for both boxers this evening. The winner by unanimous
:30:24. > :30:36.decision, into the quarterfinal, in the blue corner, Reece McFadden!
:30:37. > :30:42.19-year-old Reece McFadden has pulled off what must be considered
:30:43. > :30:45.another upset. He has beaten a Great Britain representative for the
:30:46. > :30:52.second time in these Commonwealth Games and he takes a well-deserved
:30:53. > :30:57.bow to the fans who are cheering his accomplishments in hearty fashion.
:30:58. > :31:02.Reece McFadden has beaten Charlie Edwards on a unanimous decision.
:31:03. > :31:07.Team McFadden are delighted because their boxer is one bout away from a
:31:08. > :31:14.bronze medal. Charlie Edwards eliminated, conceding the first two
:31:15. > :31:25.rounds in unanimous fashion. Edwards had enough -- McFadden had enough in
:31:26. > :31:31.the tank to get him over the line. Here in front of his home fans. That
:31:32. > :31:45.was an amazing fight for you. It was. It was hard but I battled on
:31:46. > :31:50.and I won't. I don't know why he thought he was going to win the
:31:51. > :31:56.fight. Can I ask you who you thought won the fight? I don't think anyone
:31:57. > :32:00.thought that you didn't win. It was a good fight. I really enjoyed it. I
:32:01. > :32:06.am just going to enjoy the next one and the next one until I go on and
:32:07. > :32:10.win the gold medal. The opening two rounds must give you a lot of
:32:11. > :32:14.confidence. I am confident every time I get in the ring. I guess that
:32:15. > :32:25.there must be something wrong with me. Keep it going. Reece McFadden
:32:26. > :32:31.through to the next round. We have moved indoors. It has started to
:32:32. > :32:38.rain. We are in the hub of the Commonwealth Games. We want you to
:32:39. > :32:46.get in touch, showing us your Commonwelfies. You can go to the
:32:47. > :32:52.website or our Facebook or Google pages. I don't think that the Daleks
:32:53. > :32:58.have got the right idea. We want to see you enjoying our coverage of the
:32:59. > :33:08.Commonwealth game. Amy Young has sent this in, enjoying a glass of
:33:09. > :33:14.wine while enjoying the rugby. Lisa was enjoying the action at Glasgow
:33:15. > :33:21.cream despite the rain. This one from the athletics over at Hampden
:33:22. > :33:28.Park. Chris Stark has shown this one of his baby fast asleep at the table
:33:29. > :33:32.tennis. It takes some doing. We have a big screen across from ours. Many
:33:33. > :33:39.people watching BBC1 which is just one of the ways you can follow
:33:40. > :33:46.Glasgow 2014. Liam Tancock and Fran Halsall will both go for gold in the
:33:47. > :33:50.pool. BBC1 for the best of the swimming action. It is semifinals
:33:51. > :33:56.night in the squash. Laura Massaro is into the final. Can James
:33:57. > :34:04.Willstrop do the same in the men's? That is just getting underway. The
:34:05. > :34:10.red button also has the badminton. The mixed teams getting underway. It
:34:11. > :34:16.is also England V India in the table tennis, the semifinal of the men's
:34:17. > :34:20.event is available online. The recently crowned British champion
:34:21. > :34:26.Jack Oliver is going for gold in the weightlifting which is currently
:34:27. > :34:31.online in full. It has been a busy day in the rugby sevens over at
:34:32. > :34:36.Ibrox. There was the unusual sound of the Ibrox draw for both England
:34:37. > :34:41.and Wales, along with England and Scotland they fail to get beyond the
:34:42. > :34:45.quarterfinal stage. England and Wales have a final chance in the
:34:46. > :34:58.plate final. Let's go over there now and join the commentary team. It is
:34:59. > :35:04.the nature of sevens competition that once you have lost you go into
:35:05. > :35:11.a lesser competition. It is part of the culture and the ethos of rugby.
:35:12. > :35:18.Irrespective of anything else it is England against Wales and there will
:35:19. > :35:23.be an edge. There always is a bit of an edge. Both teams will be bitterly
:35:24. > :35:28.disappointed not to be in with a chance of a medal. But it is a
:35:29. > :35:32.fantastic atmosphere, the last game of the tournament for these lads
:35:33. > :35:44.giving it everything. Lots of English fags, -- flags. I just hope
:35:45. > :35:55.that they throw the ball around and have a really exciting game. Wales
:35:56. > :36:00.are the underdogs on world rankings. A very interesting game coming up.
:36:01. > :36:06.The physicality of England against the thoughtful game of Wales. This
:36:07. > :36:13.is the last match before the medal matches. This is for fifth and sixth
:36:14. > :36:19.spot. Afterwards, it is the match for the bronze medal, Australia
:36:20. > :36:23.against Samoa. After that, we are on BBC1 for the final between New
:36:24. > :36:26.Zealand and South Africa. It promises to be the outstanding
:36:27. > :36:30.contest of the Commonwealth Games. But here we go, England against
:36:31. > :36:48.Wales is always special. COMMENTATOR: Davies takes the cake.
:36:49. > :36:54.-- kick. Lays the ball back. Seems to have been pinched. The referee is
:36:55. > :36:59.happy with that. First attack for England. First time they have the
:37:00. > :37:09.ball. From good break up the middle. Watson with a bit of thrust. Davis
:37:10. > :37:21.has the opportunity to gather the spilled ball from England. The
:37:22. > :37:28.atmosphere is building nicely. It has been jumping all afternoon. Just
:37:29. > :37:46.overran the past there. James Davies back into the poker position. Lee
:37:47. > :37:56.Williams is the only surviving member of the side that won the
:37:57. > :38:01.championships in 2009. Great defence. Took two bites of the
:38:02. > :38:14.cherry but he did the work in the end. That is Norton that has come in
:38:15. > :38:19.illegally. Thomas the captain. Williams. Great play. A flick out of
:38:20. > :38:24.the back door from the captain Adam Thomas. It is that man Lee Williams.
:38:25. > :38:32.The first try of the final against England. He was frustrated because
:38:33. > :38:37.he didn't need the wide pass. But look at the running on the outside,
:38:38. > :38:42.brilliant from the Welshman. Steps in, flicks the ball out of the back
:38:43. > :38:58.door, not only that but attracts two defenders. Creating the overlap.
:38:59. > :39:05.Davies doesn't manage to add the extras. Watch the reaction of Lee
:39:06. > :39:11.Williams when he doesn't get the ball. Adam Thomas has done so well
:39:12. > :39:24.for Wales to slip one out there. The back door. The delight from Williams
:39:25. > :39:28.evident. Hanging kick again. It is gross and Thomas there. Well taken
:39:29. > :39:36.out of the air by Thomas Powell. Burgess. Sneaking up the blindside.
:39:37. > :39:44.Thomas was aware. The Welsh captain back on his feet. James Davies takes
:39:45. > :39:52.it quickly. He has grossed with him. Williams, Harries. Davis outside.
:39:53. > :39:59.This is him. A flat pass to Morgan. Straight down the wing. Shows his
:40:00. > :40:06.strength. Will Harries get over in the corner? It is another try for
:40:07. > :40:19.Wales. Very well worked. As they did against Australia, Wales have come
:40:20. > :40:23.out of the box. -- blocks. It is the strength and support of the running
:40:24. > :40:47.lines that are so good down the right-hand side. That is a great
:40:48. > :40:52.shrike. He is not able to add the extras but it is ten points to the
:40:53. > :40:57.good for Wales. Arab Williams looks on and he will be purring inside
:40:58. > :41:04.with the quality of this try. Interestingly enough, I look down
:41:05. > :41:10.the Welsh bench and looked at Wayne Proctor, the former international
:41:11. > :41:15.winger, the strength and coach, and I must say that these Welsh boys are
:41:16. > :41:20.well conditioned. Remember, this is the sixth time that these boys, both
:41:21. > :41:30.teams, have played throughout the weekend. Trust me, it doesn't matter
:41:31. > :41:37.when it is Wales against England. Either team is desperate to get the
:41:38. > :41:46.bragging rights. Lewis Pratt. Baby comes on the angle. Great run up the
:41:47. > :41:57.middle. Davies shows him a clean pair of heels. So many dummy runners
:41:58. > :42:05.coming for England. They took their eye off Bibby and he spotted the
:42:06. > :42:13.gap. Sometimes as a player you back yourself and Dan Bibby. Wonderful
:42:14. > :42:22.camerawork to follow the England man into the tri- zone. Great running
:42:23. > :42:38.from Bibby. Great response from England to pull one back. Good in
:42:39. > :42:49.telling to play between Christian Lewis-Pratt and Dan Bibby. --
:42:50. > :42:54.interlinked play. Looking sharp. As we wind down towards the end of this
:42:55. > :43:02.first pulsating half, Wales with a 3-point advantage.
:43:03. > :43:21.Opportunity! Now referee has a decision to make. Did he go over the
:43:22. > :43:33.line? Immediately the try is given. Talk us through that. Brilliant from
:43:34. > :43:43.James Davis. A great riposte. He timed that perfectly. Then I buy BB
:43:44. > :44:05.-- denied by Dan Bibby the first time. The intensity!
:44:06. > :44:14.A great first half in the plate final. Wales just edging it at the
:44:15. > :44:22.moment. A very exciting half of sevens. Here we have confirmation.
:44:23. > :44:25.One day you might have noticed from some of the Welsh players,
:44:26. > :44:32.One day you might have noticed from some -- one thing. They had a
:44:33. > :44:36.wristband on that says stay strong, to show support for Williams and the
:44:37. > :44:50.injury that he sustained. Yes, Owen Williams was seriously
:44:51. > :44:58.injured in an accident in a tennis tournament. Yes, stay strong for
:44:59. > :45:01.him. Fingers crossed. We are being spoiled. Just when you think you
:45:02. > :45:06.can't have another exciting game, you get another thriller. That is
:45:07. > :45:11.rugby sevens. Even when there is nothing on the line here, just
:45:12. > :45:16.playing for fifth and sixth, they are playing. I have no idea where
:45:17. > :45:21.the plate goes! There is a plate. It is one of those things, the plate,
:45:22. > :45:26.that goes in the cupboard under the stairs, and then somebody finds it
:45:27. > :45:31.30 years later. The plate competition. But it is England
:45:32. > :45:35.against Wales. England have started well again and taken opportunities
:45:36. > :45:40.and we hope they can hang on. That is the key. They have created a lot
:45:41. > :45:44.of tries. Going on the outside flanks and they don't want to take
:45:45. > :45:49.them up the middle. Just in front. I hope they can hang on. Wales will be
:45:50. > :45:53.acutely aware of what happened when they played Australia earlier today
:45:54. > :45:58.in the outstanding match so far of this festival, when they were nearly
:45:59. > :46:08.home and dry. And Australia won with the last ball of the match. It can
:46:09. > :46:12.turn very swiftly in sevens. They are only eight points up here and
:46:13. > :46:16.that is just one score and a bit. Any score could be crucial. The
:46:17. > :46:26.referee has called release. What have England got? Good
:46:27. > :46:58.interplay. riposte in the second half, bringing
:46:59. > :47:08.the score within three points with a conversion to come. Great play,
:47:09. > :47:15.especially from Dan Bibby. Marcus Watson outstripping the Wales
:47:16. > :47:19.defence and a lovely, executed try. After the 12 points scored so far,
:47:20. > :47:27.Dan Bibby has had a hand in most, scoring a try himself and creating
:47:28. > :47:28.that one over Watson. Christian Lewis-Pratt has had the opportunity
:47:29. > :47:45.to keep the deficit to one point. It is interesting that when you
:47:46. > :47:51.consider that England lost their captain yesterday in Tom Mitchell,
:47:52. > :47:53.sometimes players stand up to the mark and Dan Bibby and Christian
:47:54. > :48:04.Lewis-Pratt have been taking responsibility. He comes off because
:48:05. > :48:15.he has taken a little knock. And Watson, the try scorer, also off.
:48:16. > :48:18.Brake has come on to replace him. Dan Bibby did not quite get that
:48:19. > :48:26.right but it is the first mistake he has made. A wry smile from Dan
:48:27. > :48:28.right but it is the first mistake he Bibby, the proud Lancastrian. Maybe
:48:29. > :48:47.getting stick from his mates for that.
:48:48. > :49:13.Great tackle from Dan Bibby. Wales maintain possession.
:49:14. > :49:20.Wales trying to create quickly but it is an England ball. England were
:49:21. > :49:23.magnificent, flying up on the Welsh line. James Rodwell now coming off
:49:24. > :49:47.the bench. Mark Bright makes way. Still plenty of opportunity in this
:49:48. > :49:51.game for both teams. Brake with the throw in. He will go round and
:49:52. > :50:17.collected. -- collect it. Jason Harries will take the penalty
:50:18. > :50:38.or swap. Lee Williams comes across. Morgan makes the long trek across
:50:39. > :50:59.field to get out onto the win. Why is Morgan on the wing?
:51:00. > :51:08.Great counterplay from England. Yes, good. Morgan had to
:51:09. > :51:15.play-the-ball at the bottom of the pile and was penalised accordingly.
:51:16. > :51:27.England keeping their composure and keeping their line intact. England
:51:28. > :51:32.set the attacking move here. Lots of space in behind the defensive Welsh
:51:33. > :51:38.line. England opting to push the ball down the touchline. Moving
:51:39. > :51:47.towards the last two minutes of this plate final.
:51:48. > :52:16.They suddenly realised there were two twin pines in the England pack!
:52:17. > :52:22.Poor execution at the set piece. Minute and a half for Lee Williams
:52:23. > :52:31.to set and protect this English line. Becoming very tactical. Both
:52:32. > :52:39.teams looking to kick to touch and go for the set piece. The added
:52:40. > :52:56.advantage of it eating into that time clock. Charlie makes an
:52:57. > :53:01.entrance, replacing Phil Burgess, I think. No! The referee was calling
:53:02. > :53:25.Burgess. Wales losing five or six metres but
:53:26. > :53:30.retaining possession. And losing 20 seconds on the clock. I don't even
:53:31. > :53:49.think the coach would say they planned that.
:53:50. > :53:56.Penalty. England will be looking to take this and get out of their
:53:57. > :54:02.inside the last 30 seconds. What can Dan Bibby do? Defence is strong by
:54:03. > :54:23.Wales. Expect the hooter at any moment. We
:54:24. > :54:31.are into last play territory. Last-ditch tackle from Jason
:54:32. > :54:38.Harries. The ball is there to be recycled. Little dash down the
:54:39. > :54:48.blindside. What are they going to do? James Rodwell finds the inside
:54:49. > :54:55.ball to break. He off-loads. They are playing advantage. This is the
:54:56. > :55:00.opportunity! Over in the corner! It will be heartbreak again for Wales.
:55:01. > :55:09.They have lost out again for Australia. Great passage of play
:55:10. > :55:12.from England, waiting in a try in the corner and thoroughly
:55:13. > :55:21.well-deserved. Absolutely. A brilliant tackle by Groves. And Dan
:55:22. > :55:26.Bibby down the far side. Burgess went in low. No worries about him
:55:27. > :55:32.getting pushed out of touch. You have to say it was yet again that
:55:33. > :55:37.man, Dan Bibby. Great vision, great pass, found Burgess on the
:55:38. > :55:56.right-hand touchline. Finished the job. A fantastic game of rugby. It
:55:57. > :56:00.was fantastic rugby. Australia did it by 21 points to 19 and England
:56:01. > :56:05.have done it with the last play of the game by 17 points to 15, and
:56:06. > :56:09.England's hero is Phil Burgess and of course Dan Bibby and all the
:56:10. > :56:16.players who represented England in the Commonwealth Games sevens. They
:56:17. > :56:20.have lit up the tournament. Two sides that we have very much enjoyed
:56:21. > :56:24.watching play and a big smile from Dan Bibby and quite rightly because
:56:25. > :56:29.he was magnificent in the final. He really ran the show for England.
:56:30. > :56:31.They have missed Mitchell immensely but with Dan Bibby they had a
:56:32. > :56:47.playmaker. It is hard to know quite what to
:56:48. > :56:52.say! It would be better if it was six minutes each way, to be honest,
:56:53. > :56:59.or six minutes and 50 seconds! D?j? vu. Last play. That is what sevens
:57:00. > :57:06.is all about. They converge on and England just kept on plugging away
:57:07. > :57:11.and deservedly got the try. You have to go to the last minute, it is such
:57:12. > :57:15.an exciting game. All those cliches that we trot out in sport, we trot
:57:16. > :57:23.them at because they are true. Two evenly matched sides toe to toe. It
:57:24. > :57:39.is a long two days. The cumulative effect of their legs. England just
:57:40. > :57:44.had enough to get across and when. When you get to the last play, you
:57:45. > :57:51.know it is the last play, the level of execution and they lose. It has
:57:52. > :58:01.been a late sport at the highest level. -- elite. We are going to see
:58:02. > :58:07.the medal matches in a moment. 30 seconds, very quickly, we must have
:58:08. > :58:14.a talk with the cook islands manager. Tell us what happened on
:58:15. > :58:19.your way to competition today. We were running on time until our bus
:58:20. > :58:25.crashed into the back of a car. Driving a bit too fast for the
:58:26. > :58:31.conditions. Smashed into a beautiful new BMW. I am the manager. A bit of
:58:32. > :58:38.pressure on me. We got off the bus and week caught a public bus. They
:58:39. > :58:44.loved it. We got lots of at the stadium, a couple of blocks away. We
:58:45. > :58:50.ran to the stadium which was our warm up and we won the game. It has
:58:51. > :58:54.been fantastic. A great country, a great people, I am moving to the
:58:55. > :58:59.place, it has been fantastic I have loved it. You have been an integral
:59:00. > :59:05.part of the competition. Well done to you. Thank you very much indeed.
:59:06. > :59:11.We have got the bronze match to come, Australia against Samoa and
:59:12. > :59:19.then the final, South Africa against the All Blacks. As it is the top of
:59:20. > :59:21.the hour, let us get a News of the hour, let us get a news update. We
:59:22. > :59:48.will see you very shortly. Straight back to Glasgow
:59:49. > :59:52.after a quick update. 17 people have been taken to
:59:53. > :59:55.hospital after a so called A vehicle ploughed into a crowd
:59:56. > :59:59.in a car park. A 16-year-old girl

:00:09. > :00:15.of people to leave their homes The army carried out controlled
:00:16. > :00:19.explosions in Newhall. An amazing Hungarian Grand Prix was
:00:20. > :00:22.won by Red Bull's Daniel Riccardo. Lewis Hamilton started last
:00:23. > :00:25.and finished third. He ignored team orders to let
:00:26. > :00:28.Nico Rosberg get past. And Cheryl's Crazy Stupid
:00:29. > :00:30.Love is top single. Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran's Multiply
:00:31. > :00:36.heads the album charts for a fifth I kind of need you to pretend
:00:37. > :01:10.to be in a wheelchair. Ellie abused me. Do you know,
:01:11. > :01:16.I think she's buying it. Why are you doing this?
:01:17. > :01:18...dependable... Oh! Please don't.
:01:19. > :01:21.I'm joking. I'm joking. You are the most sick and
:01:22. > :01:27.twisted people I have ever met! The world's worst brother
:01:28. > :02:15.and sister. Brand-new... the 2012 Commonwealth Games. Let's
:02:16. > :02:23.head back to the SECC. The boxing prelims are into the last 16. With
:02:24. > :02:34.Andrew Selby out in the first round to home favourite Reese McFadden, it
:02:35. > :02:51.opened the door for the contender from Northern Ireland. We can join
:02:52. > :02:56.it in the second round. COMMENTATOR: Dalston opened his account with a
:02:57. > :03:02.convincing win over Christopher Katanga of Zambia. He exemplified
:03:03. > :03:17.the art of hitting without being hit. He has exhibited that again in
:03:18. > :03:30.the opening round. A good right hand to the chin of Dalston. Dalton is
:03:31. > :03:39.far superior in terms of his movement to the Tanzanians. He
:03:40. > :03:58.hasn't got full mobility from his calves. His feet are very
:03:59. > :04:14.flat-footed. He cannot catch him because he is too slow on his feet.
:04:15. > :04:22.Dalton not providing a stationary target. Generally, he cannot be
:04:23. > :04:32.pinned down. A fluid moving target peppering with shots. Look how he is
:04:33. > :04:45.continuing to fall short, punching air. Dalton was caught by a
:04:46. > :04:57.right-hander there. The only way he will get caught if he is made to
:04:58. > :05:01.miss. That is not a bad shot. Dalton has to keep moving his feet. His
:05:02. > :05:38.opponent is struggling to cope with the movement. Mwanjwango Is having
:05:39. > :05:51.minimal success in closing the distance. Dalton is stay out of
:05:52. > :05:57.range of the Tanzanians's punches. Already saving his energy for the
:05:58. > :06:03.second round. A couple of jabs here. A superb combination from Dalton.
:06:04. > :06:09.Keeping the movement going. He finishes that sequence going with
:06:10. > :06:13.his right hand. Really, he is in a total comfort zone, the Northern
:06:14. > :06:23.Irishman. Let's see what the judges have gone with here. Given the Gulf
:06:24. > :06:32.in experience and ability, apparent ability, that exists between the two
:06:33. > :06:39.boxers. It is difficult to see what Mwanjwango can do to turn this in
:06:40. > :06:47.his favour. Into the third and final round. Mwanjwango is trailing by two
:06:48. > :06:52.rounds and he has barely laid a glove on Dalton. There is always the
:06:53. > :07:01.possibility that he will land a punch. And that was a good right
:07:02. > :07:06.hand. And another one. As Richie Woodhall has pointed out, the only
:07:07. > :07:12.time he has a modicum of success is when Dalton stops moving. This is a
:07:13. > :07:18.completely different tactic from the Northern Irishman. He takes another
:07:19. > :07:27.left, right. He has been hit more in this round than in the preceding two
:07:28. > :07:32.rounds. It just shows that if you change your tactics and get them
:07:33. > :07:38.wrong, you play into the hands of the other man. Mwanjwango is having
:07:39. > :07:47.some success here. It is simple tactics. Another right over the top
:07:48. > :07:54.from Mwanjwango. And there is a long left. A left, right from Mwanjwango.
:07:55. > :08:01.In electing to hold his feet and trade at mid and short range, Dalton
:08:02. > :08:07.is coming off second best in this first half of the final round. When
:08:08. > :08:13.you are moving off the back foot, you will frustrate your opponent. He
:08:14. > :08:18.will try silly shots from silly angles and leave himself open. That
:08:19. > :08:24.is what is happening now. Mwanjwango is really going for it and not
:08:25. > :08:32.eating much. He is committed all the time with shots and leading himself
:08:33. > :08:42.open. Standing there, he has got half a chance. A much better start
:08:43. > :08:52.to the round from Mwanjwango. That is probably due to the tactics of
:08:53. > :08:56.Dalton. Rather than gliding from left to right like he did
:08:57. > :09:03.first two rounds, he is electing to stand on his feet and
:09:04. > :09:11.first two rounds, he is electing to And another good punch there. You
:09:12. > :09:15.have got to hand it to him, Mwanjwango is limited but he is
:09:16. > :09:20.strong. He knows he is losing but he keeps coming forward and he is still
:09:21. > :09:31.ambitious. There is another left hook. Now he is pinned in a neutral
:09:32. > :09:38.corner and Mwanjwango is teeing off. But not with much success. He
:09:39. > :09:43.probably wishes there is another three rounds but it is too late.
:09:44. > :09:51.That third round brings a round of applause from the crowd. Dalton
:09:52. > :09:55.received far more punches and punishment during that round then he
:09:56. > :10:02.did in the entirety of the first two rounds. The Tanzanians kept coming
:10:03. > :10:09.forward. Sustained persistent pressure. Because Dalton chose to
:10:10. > :10:14.hold his feet he is caught by a terrific left hand. It was a good
:10:15. > :10:24.performance. He definitely lost the last round. For me, this fella had
:10:25. > :10:30.some success. But it wasn't enough. Ladies and gentlemen, we have our
:10:31. > :10:56.judges scores. The winner moving through to the quarterfinal stages,
:10:57. > :11:02.in the red corner, Ruairi Dalton! Mwanjwango has been outpointed in
:11:03. > :11:06.spectacular fashion. The man from Tanzania came into it far more than
:11:07. > :11:17.he was in the first round. Nevertheless, Ruairi Dalton is one
:11:18. > :11:25.bout away from a Commonwealth medal. It is turning out into a chilled
:11:26. > :11:36.evening here in Glasgow. It is anything but that at Ibrox. It is
:11:37. > :11:40.raining here as well but it is not dampening the spirits. Everything is
:11:41. > :11:45.moving to fever pitch. We really do think that the final could be a
:11:46. > :11:50.classic. This bronze medal match is interesting because some hour took a
:11:51. > :11:55.thumping from South Africa in the semifinal. How will they respond
:11:56. > :12:03.when Australia are the favourites? They are but there is something
:12:04. > :12:10.tangible to play for for these teams. Samoa came up against the
:12:11. > :12:15.best performance of the two days in the semifinal which was from South
:12:16. > :12:31.Africa. If they can get the ball in space they will score tries. If they
:12:32. > :12:37.can just bring him into the game that is the key. But not too early.
:12:38. > :12:59.This could be a very physical encounter because both of them like
:13:00. > :13:03.contact. Here, you lose this match and you are forth and it is worth
:13:04. > :13:08.nothing. There is a lot at stake here. Have some hour got a medal
:13:09. > :13:58.yet? Come back to me on that one in They have been so efficient, so
:13:59. > :14:02.power. They have not done a lot to get you on the edge of your seat,
:14:03. > :14:09.but what they have done, they have done it really. They have seen of
:14:10. > :14:11.Papa New Guinea, Malaysia and Wales. Now they are giving Australia a run
:14:12. > :14:38.for their money. The vision he had 2 cents the space
:14:39. > :14:46.behind the defence. James Stannard coming to Australia's rescue.
:14:47. > :14:55.Australia can breathe easy. There was a little takeout on the kicking
:14:56. > :15:06.goal. Make up your own mind. Bodychecked, but he was committed to
:15:07. > :15:09.the contact. The islanders have always been one of the powerhouses
:15:10. > :15:16.of this right size version of the sport. Great rivals Fiji. Couple of
:15:17. > :15:25.bronze and silver medals to their name dating back to 1988. Is this to
:15:26. > :15:30.be Samoa's moment at The Games, take something back to the South Seas
:15:31. > :15:33.with them? We will see Apter the remaining ten minutes or so. --
:15:34. > :15:54.after. Patients stuff. Australia getting some red time on
:15:55. > :16:14.the ball. Save pair of hands in the Samoan setup. Scored eight tries in
:16:15. > :16:15.this tournament. Scrum-half, James Stannard scuttling back to get the
:16:16. > :16:23.ball for Australia. Stannard scuttling back to get the
:16:24. > :16:39.Bor years ago in Delhi. -- four years ago. Australia hold on to
:16:40. > :16:51.possession. Liam Gill won a silver medal four years ago. Again, the
:16:52. > :16:59.Samoan counter rucking is forceful. This is worse Samoa throughout the
:17:00. > :17:02.tournament have posed problems. They have managed to slow the ball,
:17:03. > :17:09.sometimes a little bit illegally. But the takeout of the player, the
:17:10. > :17:10.Samoan, that should have been a penalty against Australia for taking
:17:11. > :17:34.the player out. Binding wasn't right, that is the
:17:35. > :17:42.reason for the penalty that James Stannard fires into the stands.
:17:43. > :17:47.Masterminding was macro push towards the Olympics. Not just this Olympics
:17:48. > :17:55.but looking forward to Tokyo as well. Or the first time, it is
:17:56. > :18:03.Australia who can try and launch themselves going forward. It did not
:18:04. > :18:10.last forward. Samoa will have the scrum. This time rugby sevens has
:18:11. > :18:19.played its part at the Commonwealth Games. It has been displayed well
:18:20. > :18:28.this week in Glasgow. I imagine those watching in Brazil will be
:18:29. > :18:45.looking forward to hosting this sport in a couple of years time.
:18:46. > :18:50.Intense. Reminds me of a game of chess, testing each other in and
:18:51. > :18:55.around the breakdown. These two teams are well set with each other
:18:56. > :19:06.and know each other as core teams on the circuit. It was one eventually
:19:07. > :19:19.by Jenkins. They may get the first try. Greg Jolie adapt, who has been
:19:20. > :19:39.their days in the Park in Glasgow so far, has another tried to add to his
:19:40. > :19:47.name. He backed in self, Jeloudev. Great attitude from the young
:19:48. > :19:52.Australian. How about that! It has summed up their first off in many of
:19:53. > :19:56.the big games this week, they have not had the better of it in terms of
:19:57. > :19:58.the big games this week, they have possession and territory. A look at
:19:59. > :20:03.the scoreboard. They cover for possession and territory. A look at
:20:04. > :20:08.other so well, run the channels in attack and in defence, in Sean
:20:09. > :20:22.McMahon, they have an outstanding character. Sean McMahon, look at him
:20:23. > :20:33.chasing the ball. Australia win it back again on the hooter. Jeloudev
:20:34. > :20:39.fancied a second. Desperate defending by some hour. Equally so,
:20:40. > :20:44.Australia to win it back. Threat apparent but the Australians. The
:20:45. > :20:51.ball goes dead, we will head into the half-time will stop still having
:20:52. > :20:58.the penalty. Samoa are a man down. They will have to defend one man
:20:59. > :21:04.short. Again it is Jeloudev. The Australian radar was switched on,
:21:05. > :21:08.they knew the importance of a quick ball with a Samoan on the floor.
:21:09. > :21:15.James Stannard just managed to tap and go. All through the hands of
:21:16. > :21:30.Jeloudev. He knew where the line was. Just limping, is he? Maybe a
:21:31. > :21:40.touch of cramp. They 5.5 games through what has been a murderous
:21:41. > :21:48.week end. The drop goal conversion from Cameron Clark strides as --
:21:49. > :22:07.slices across. Those two Mr Duggan versions mean it
:22:08. > :22:18.is only ten points and back could come back to form the Australians.
:22:19. > :22:26.Samoa do have a medal, they have a bronze medal in the weightlifting
:22:27. > :22:38.and they would like another bronze medal here, but the way it is going,
:22:39. > :22:50.they will not get one. Try it Australia. One player injured on the
:22:51. > :22:58.floor, extra man, try Australia. That is the difference in this first
:22:59. > :23:00.half. They are so well matched, the two chances came, two tries. It was
:23:01. > :23:03.a missed tackle, which will be talked about which caused the try. I
:23:04. > :23:06.think Australia just look to be having their heads a bit more in
:23:07. > :23:07.this game. Like we have seen on so many occasions, half-time can turn
:23:08. > :23:09.things around. Do not rule Samoa out of this. Jeloudev has had a great
:23:10. > :23:10.game scoring two tries. I don't think they will change anything.
:23:11. > :23:17.They have not isolated the Samoans at all. There are some weary
:23:18. > :23:24.figures. They are lifting themselves the seven more minutes when they
:23:25. > :23:30.have been playing 90 minutes, just seven of them. The ball isn't out
:23:31. > :23:37.our play along either. Tired bodies, but some tired minds. They have got
:23:38. > :23:38.to focus one more time, broke the Australians and the Samoans with a
:23:39. > :24:14.bronze medal at stake. Ed Jenkins, the skipper draws the
:24:15. > :24:20.penalty. Once again a bit of language we could do without on a
:24:21. > :24:25.Sunday! The Australians looking to increase their lead. They just know
:24:26. > :24:32.if they can keep control of the ball, stop Samoa competing at the
:24:33. > :24:38.breakdown, that is where the game will be one and lost. One by Sean
:24:39. > :24:48.McMahon launching another Australian attack. Palmer who took a bit of a
:24:49. > :25:03.knock in the semifinal against New Zealand. But he is back on his
:25:04. > :25:09.speed. Such good work. Once again, James Stannard was at the centre of
:25:10. > :25:24.things to win possession back. What can Liam Gill do with it?
:25:25. > :25:33.Under the gaze of Geraint John. Once again
:25:34. > :25:41.Under the gaze of Geraint John. it is Sean McMahon. Such a handful.
:25:42. > :25:45.Goodness me! The strength of Sean McMahon to get back close to the
:25:46. > :25:51.line and take Australia to the brink of their third try. The bronze medal
:25:52. > :25:59.is almost birds, they can almost touch it. Look at the strength of
:26:00. > :26:02.Sean McMahon. He represented Australia for the first time at 17.
:26:03. > :26:24.20 now and he made this try. Two players who have been central to
:26:25. > :26:27.Australia over the last few minutes. Combining to score a try which may
:26:28. > :26:34.have taken them beyond the reach of the Samoans. The extra insurance of
:26:35. > :26:44.another two points from the conversion. He can take his place on
:26:45. > :26:50.the bench and take some water, knowing he has done his bit. Nothing
:26:51. > :26:55.more he can do. Sean McMahon, we identified him as a real workhorse
:26:56. > :27:02.of a player and he has been replaced by Tom Cusack. Australia,
:27:03. > :27:08.silver-medallists in Delhi four years ago. Bronze medal in Kuala
:27:09. > :27:15.Lumpur. All those years later, set to repeat. Samoa will still think
:27:16. > :27:19.they have a few words to say about it, however. They need to score
:27:20. > :27:37.quickly. They are into Australian territory.
:27:38. > :27:56.Lio Lolo striding with some purpose. The injury to Asifaamatala upfront
:27:57. > :28:02.has been crucial. But they are up against a very good Australian team.
:28:03. > :28:12.Gavin John from Australia will be delighted with his charges. I'm sure
:28:13. > :28:18.he will be the first to recognise the work that Michael O Connor has
:28:19. > :28:24.done since taking over at the 11th hour. As the rain is starting to
:28:25. > :28:28.fall. We were promised one or two showers today and we have escaped
:28:29. > :28:38.quite likely. But we are getting a bit of a dousing here. The Glasgow
:28:39. > :28:49.skies south of the Clyde. It is taken on by Tulolo Tulolo. Some were
:28:50. > :28:56.nearly needing something special now. The camaraderie was evident
:28:57. > :29:02.with that last bit of work and each of the Australian players clapping
:29:03. > :29:13.each other. Egging each other on. A good team ethos amongst this
:29:14. > :29:25.Australia team. Tom Lucas to feed the fruit machine. Foley. Two Pama
:29:26. > :29:34.Fou. Scored some important tries on the way to this bronze medal match.
:29:35. > :29:40.The number 11. Lost it though. An opportunity for Samoa to do
:29:41. > :29:52.something with it. It was lost by Afa Aiono. Lost of that unity to do
:29:53. > :29:59.some more attacking. -- lost that opportunity. There have been some
:30:00. > :30:07.familiar names in this Wallabies setup down the line. David Campese
:30:08. > :30:14.was one of the people in charge. Matt Giteau. He has played his part.
:30:15. > :30:23.Turner, Cummins, silver medals in 2010. Players who have featured in
:30:24. > :30:27.this seven side. This 2014 generation are powering towards
:30:28. > :30:39.bronze in Glasgow. Sam Myers make sure. It will be Aussie runs.
:30:40. > :30:46.Absolutely. -- bronze. There was a sharpness to that Australian play.
:30:47. > :30:50.The sixth game of their weekend. Jenkins the captain is first to
:30:51. > :31:05.congratulate the try scorer Sam Myers. Just going to have time for
:31:06. > :31:11.the restart. Some Samoa have been completely shut out. They have been
:31:12. > :31:18.outfought. , Foley with the line-out. There has been a sharpness
:31:19. > :31:24.in this Australian performance. Delight on the bench. They are
:31:25. > :31:29.standing up now and they will be standing on the medals podium before
:31:30. > :31:34.the evening is out here at Ibrox. They are going to have bronze medals
:31:35. > :31:42.around their neck. Selesele could not control the ball. Tulolo Tulolo
:31:43. > :31:50.for Samoa who still cannot get their hands on a Commonwealth Games medal.
:31:51. > :32:03.Still can't move any closer to Fiji's achievements. Fiavaai trying
:32:04. > :32:08.to do his best but the game is gone for the Islanders. They only
:32:09. > :32:14.finished eighth in the world 11 series last year. This was a chance
:32:15. > :32:20.to improve an otherwise pallid year for them. It is not going to happen.
:32:21. > :32:22.They fail to make any headway on the scoreboard after dominating the
:32:23. > :32:34.first five minutes of the match and it has never looked likely. Samoa
:32:35. > :32:41.want to have the last word. Silly silly thought it was going to be
:32:42. > :32:47.him. But emphatically it is Australia. -- sailor Soleil.
:32:48. > :32:56.While that game was going on we were treated to a sensational sunset here
:32:57. > :33:02.at Pacific key. The sun falling down behind the transport Museum here.
:33:03. > :33:06.They had a similar one yesterday but lighting issues meant that we
:33:07. > :33:11.couldn't appreciate it. England won the plate in the rugby sevens. It
:33:12. > :33:14.was scant consolation at the end of the day because they are effectively
:33:15. > :33:21.finished fifth. After the contest, John spoke to England back Marcus
:33:22. > :33:26.Watson. You couldn't have left it much later in that game. We had a
:33:27. > :33:36.difficult start but we pulled through in the end. How do assess
:33:37. > :33:39.your performance overall? We came for the gold so a bit disappointed
:33:40. > :33:46.but the last two games, it was good to get a win. From your point of
:33:47. > :33:51.view, you scored a couple of spectacular individual tries. You
:33:52. > :33:55.cannot have had a bigger reception anywhere. The crowd has been amazing
:33:56. > :34:01.here and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. You are an interested
:34:02. > :34:09.observer at the final, how do you assess it? We'll see. It is going to
:34:10. > :34:16.be a good. New Zealand have just edged it this year. It has been an
:34:17. > :34:23.amazing experience. We are going home tomorrow, unfortunately. Thank
:34:24. > :34:29.you very much. That final will be over on BBC1 shortly. We have been
:34:30. > :34:37.getting some of your Commonwelfies. Use the hashtag. Ronnie has managed
:34:38. > :34:44.to get a Commonwelfies with the Australian cycling team. Alex took
:34:45. > :34:51.his with his grandfather at the rugby sevens. Clyde has been
:34:52. > :34:59.everywhere and Scott got his picture with Clyde the mascot. Some of the
:35:00. > :35:04.BBC rugby team were involved with this one. And Dave Rogers the
:35:05. > :35:13.badminton announcer at the Commonwealth Games sent as this
:35:14. > :35:17.picture following our coverage. So only a handful of games available
:35:18. > :35:25.for your viewing at the moment. Gold medal match in the rugby sevens will
:35:26. > :35:31.be over on BBC1. New Zealand never beaten in the Commonwealth Games
:35:32. > :35:39.against South Africa. In the hockey, England are playing their second
:35:40. > :35:45.pool match against me -- against Malaysian. If you have been watching
:35:46. > :35:48.the coverage over the last couple of days you will have noticed rowing
:35:49. > :35:55.legend Katherine Grainger all over the place trying to grab words with
:35:56. > :35:59.some athletes. Glasgow is her home and she learned her trade here.
:36:00. > :36:19.Let's get her take on glorious Glasgow. Behind me lies Glasgow
:36:20. > :36:23.cream. One of Glasgow's biggest and most well-known greens paces. It
:36:24. > :36:28.will be home to the hockey competition and form part of the
:36:29. > :36:35.marathon route and road race. The Clyde here is home to rowing clubs.
:36:36. > :36:40.It's stretch of water is where I first got in a boat and never looked
:36:41. > :36:56.back once. Just across the street in the east end lies the Barra market.
:36:57. > :37:15.An iconic landmark is here, a popular ballroom that was turned
:37:16. > :37:19.into a popular concert venue. Barrowlands is a venue that
:37:20. > :37:32.everybody wants to play. In 2012 when I won the Olympics, that
:37:33. > :37:34.traffic cone was painted gold. Established in 1451, Glasgow
:37:35. > :37:41.University is the fourth oldest in the English-speaking world. It
:37:42. > :37:44.played a crucial role in 18th-century Scottish
:37:45. > :37:49.Enlightenment. Its buyers dominate the skyline and it has many
:37:50. > :37:55.illustrious alumna including James Watt and John Logie Baird. Several
:37:56. > :38:04.Nobel laureates, to British prime ministers, senior Emily Sunday and
:38:05. > :38:13.actor Gerard Butler. Glaswegians have a tough worth ethic -- work
:38:14. > :38:16.ethic and a strong sense of play. In this street the pubs clubs and
:38:17. > :38:21.restaurants throw their doors open ready for everyone to enjoy
:38:22. > :38:26.themselves. Growing up in Glasgow, no school year was complete without
:38:27. > :38:31.a trip to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Everything I
:38:32. > :38:37.know about Egypt, Dinah Shore is an Medieval Britain began here. There
:38:38. > :38:42.is even a full life Spitfire and a trip to visit Alvis. What's not to
:38:43. > :38:46.love? It is one of the most visited free attractions in the whole UK.
:38:47. > :38:51.This summer it became famous for something even bigger. The
:38:52. > :39:04.Commonwealth Games came to the Kelvingrove and brought lawn bowls
:39:05. > :39:11.with them. Interesting to see her at Kelvingrove, one of the most
:39:12. > :39:16.picturesque venues at the games. The final of the men's badminton. Nick
:39:17. > :39:20.Matthew took on fellow squad member Peter Barker. Matthew came through
:39:21. > :39:41.that 3-0 to reach another major final.
:39:42. > :40:04.Six success for Nick Matthew. Can he be joined by James Willstrop. He
:40:05. > :40:24.faces Saurav Ghosal of India. be joined by James Willstrop. He
:40:25. > :40:28.COMMENTATOR: Again, you feel for Saurav Ghosal, he has provided some
:40:29. > :40:32.spectacular moments but he has got nothing to show for it. James
:40:33. > :40:45.Willstrop is a game away from the final. Let's see if we can pick up
:40:46. > :40:56.anything here will final. Let's see if we can pick up
:40:57. > :41:25.anything here will don't give him things to chase onto.
:41:26. > :41:41.Anything that you are going to open up on INAUDIBLE
:41:42. > :41:48.The only thing I could pick up was not to hit with so much pace from
:41:49. > :41:56.the back of the court, use more control. David Campion the England
:41:57. > :42:01.coach saying to James it is OK and play your normal game. Pushed to the
:42:02. > :42:11.back of the court. You have two be more aggressive sometimes. It is not
:42:12. > :42:16.going to do it. Saurav Ghosal is moving too well and he is able to
:42:17. > :42:23.return it and create his own pressure. It takes James out of his
:42:24. > :42:26.comfort zone. It is a good sign for Saurav Ghosal. He is making James
:42:27. > :42:36.Willstrop working Gregory hard in this match. -- work incredibly hard.
:42:37. > :42:44.It has been a wonderful match to watch. Saurav Ghosal came back from
:42:45. > :42:49.two games down yesterday but to do that against James Willstrop playing
:42:50. > :43:21.like this, the number six in the world, it is a massive Aske. He does
:43:22. > :43:28.looks fresh, Ghosal. James Willstrop's game, plays a bit
:43:29. > :43:39.slower, so he does a lot of miles around the court, front and back.
:43:40. > :43:49.Two players who train at the same club. Coached by the same man.
:43:50. > :43:52.Willstrop's dad. What is he thinking now with his son just one game
:43:53. > :45:07.away? A rare mistake. Takes great care in
:45:08. > :45:14.the execution of every shot, James Willstrop. Even his serve will stop
:45:15. > :45:19.--. Because of his technique he can leave the ball a little bit later
:45:20. > :45:27.than most players. He can utilise the wrist. As we see, let the ball
:45:28. > :45:34.the wrist. As we see, let the comeback quite fast so he can use
:45:35. > :45:59.the strings. Wait and then executed. Very nice shot.
:46:00. > :46:18.Andrew Shelley. Chief executive of world squash. Must be very proud of
:46:19. > :46:25.the show Glasgow have put on and also these competitors have put on.
:46:26. > :46:38.Great advertisement for squash and what is essentially a window into
:46:39. > :46:46.the world of a game of squash. The hope now is the big cheeses in the
:46:47. > :46:52.IOC are watching what is being delivered here. It is obviously the
:46:53. > :47:01.goal of squash to get into the Olympic sport. They want that
:47:02. > :47:09.recognition. It is such an intense affiliation, the players do have
:47:10. > :47:14.with this game. They are struggling to believe squash is not in the
:47:15. > :47:31.Olympics. It exhibits all of the criteria squash is a sport has to
:47:32. > :47:36.get into the Olympic Games. I don't want to get them into trouble so I
:47:37. > :47:43.won't name them, but it is a better fit the Olympics than a lot of other
:47:44. > :47:49.sports. It is a lot of criteria to fill, not just the sport itself, but
:47:50. > :47:58.to fit into the logistics. Movable court. I am sure it will happen one
:47:59. > :48:21.day... We hope. Yes! Willstrop getting closer and
:48:22. > :48:55.closer now, to his goal. Strange miss then from Ghosal. This
:48:56. > :49:11.is rapidly going Willstrop's way. Of course, 3-0 is a good score line.
:49:12. > :49:13.You would want to leave something in the tank for the bronze medal match.
:49:14. > :49:20.The bronze medal match is tomorrow. Maybe that could be in the back of
:49:21. > :49:24.his mind, even now. If there is still a window of opportunity, I am
:49:25. > :49:34.sure Ghosal will want to take advantage of every opportunity. As
:49:35. > :49:35.this score creeps closer to the finish line the
:49:36. > :50:03.this score creeps closer to the is certainly a consideration.
:50:04. > :50:22.Ghosal is giving it the maximum right now. Lovely touch to finish.
:50:23. > :51:06.Just caressed it home. No letter. I think that is harsh. He
:51:07. > :51:12.is going after the video replay. -- letter. He was pretty close to it?
:51:13. > :51:21.He was close and Willstrop was close to the ball as well. Look how tight
:51:22. > :51:24.it was to the wall. That will be a consideration when the referee looks
:51:25. > :51:32.at this. It was a beautifully executed shot. The appeal judge,
:51:33. > :51:35.like an a second opinion. It does not increase the probability of
:51:36. > :51:54.making a better decision, but it is a chance the Ghosal. Maybe that was
:51:55. > :51:59.a sympathy let. Does such a ring exist? He is still in this. --
:52:00. > :52:32.thing. Miraculous defending again. Ghosal
:52:33. > :52:38.still maintains his appeal. When both players reached ten, they
:52:39. > :52:53.automatically get one each again. They know each other really well.
:52:54. > :53:04.Lovely moment. Two points away now, Willstrop.
:53:05. > :53:49.Devilish disguise. Here are five match balls were James Willstrop.
:53:50. > :54:04.Superb. James Willstrop has made it through. To the final of the
:54:05. > :54:13.Commonwealth Games here in Glasgow. Runner up four years ago. He faces
:54:14. > :54:19.the same man tomorrow. But you can see just getting to the final has
:54:20. > :54:26.meant an awful lot to him. He guarantees himself at least a silver
:54:27. > :54:34.medal now. He was made to work tonight. He did not have it all his
:54:35. > :54:42.own way. The first two games were very tough. He had to think about
:54:43. > :54:49.his strategy to get through. Had to change his natural game. He will
:54:50. > :54:53.face Nick Matthew in an all English final. That is almost bit on BBC
:54:54. > :55:01.Three in terms of coverage of Glasgow 2014. At 10:30pm on BBC One,
:55:02. > :55:06.Clare Balding and Nick Chapman. What can we look forward to? Lots of
:55:07. > :55:10.medallists, Chris Hoy and Mark Foster will be with us. We will be
:55:11. > :55:19.looking forward to the final day of track cycling, we will have Laura
:55:20. > :55:24.Trott adjoining is as well. We have the inspirational marathon runner,
:55:25. > :55:28.Steven Way to talk to. We will concentrate on the home nations, but
:55:29. > :55:31.tonight we will be going down the Australia route as well, with some
:55:32. > :55:38.Australians coming in and we will reflect on the sevens be at Ibrox.
:55:39. > :55:44.It should be allowed if there are a few Australians in? Yes it should be
:55:45. > :55:55.and the Barman should be doing a few Australian cocktails as well. That
:55:56. > :56:00.is it for BBC Three. Tomorrow, as far as we are concerned, we have
:56:01. > :56:05.lawn bowls, Northern Ireland against South Africa starting at nine
:56:06. > :56:19.o'clock. Swimming heeds starting from half past ten and Dan is with
:56:20. > :56:22.wet, wet, wet. The crowd are poised, so let's get the house band
:56:23. > :56:29.to play is out on BBC Three.
