:00:43. > :00:44.Good afternoon, and welcome back to coverage of day

:00:45. > :00:59.The first gold medal of the games has been won.

:01:00. > :01:07.A fantastic performance from Jodie Stimpson. This is what is coming up.

:01:08. > :01:09.The swimming got underway this morning.

:01:10. > :01:11.No doubt a great welcome for Scotland's Hannah Miley

:01:12. > :01:17.The best of the action from the women's hockey, as England take on

:01:18. > :01:24.And we'll look ahead to the men's triathlon which starts

:01:25. > :01:29.at three o'clock, featuring the fabulous Brownlee brothers.

:01:30. > :01:32.And on day one, a feast of sport for you already.

:01:33. > :01:46.You can go live to the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome for the track cycling.

:01:47. > :01:51.Online, we have rhythmic gymnastics, lawn bowls is well under way. Table

:01:52. > :01:55.tennis. Netball. And squash. But,

:01:56. > :02:07.before all that let's reflect on the Jodie Stimpson is the first winner

:02:08. > :02:12.of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, a terrific performance. A

:02:13. > :02:17.wonderful scene, as she came around the final bend will stop she was

:02:18. > :02:22.pushed all the way by Kirsten Sweetland of Canada and Emma Jackson

:02:23. > :02:26.of Australia. A terrific reception for Jodie Stimpson. What an

:02:27. > :02:31.incredible performance from her this afternoon. She was pushed all the

:02:32. > :02:37.way. Wonderful moments for her, a terrific season she has had. All

:02:38. > :02:42.those months of hard work pay off. Terrific stuff from Jodie Stimpson.

:02:43. > :02:46.And very emotional when she caught up with Sonali Shah.

:02:47. > :02:54.Congratulations. You are Commonwealth champion!

:02:55. > :02:59.I don't know... This is all year. I have got to

:03:00. > :03:10.thank so many people who have got me through, it is awesome. To share a

:03:11. > :03:17.podium is so special with Vicky. The first goal medal of the games.

:03:18. > :03:24.Now, it is the boys's turn! I can't find enough people. It is not just

:03:25. > :03:28.by medal but for so many people. Darren Smith, to put up with me for

:03:29. > :03:34.so long. Thank you so much. I am sure England

:03:35. > :03:43.is sharing this middle with you all stop what was it like out there, did

:03:44. > :03:49.you feel like it was a home race? It didn't matter what catchy anyone

:03:50. > :03:56.was from, the crowd was fantastic. Running along this path, jam-packed

:03:57. > :04:02.with people, it was fantastic. We have got to talk about tactics.

:04:03. > :04:13.You had a breakaway, then let everyone back in on the bike.

:04:14. > :04:21.Pretty silly, to be honest. Lucy was there. We just needed a couple more

:04:22. > :04:27.to commit. We spoke briefly yesterday. We wanted a hard race. We

:04:28. > :04:35.tried, it didn't work. We tried breaking away. When Lucy went, I am

:04:36. > :04:40.not chasing an England girl. I knew I could run faster. To give Lucy the

:04:41. > :04:46.best shot she needed to break away and I wasn't chasing her down. It

:04:47. > :04:52.was up to the other athletes. You are Commonwealth champion, how

:04:53. > :04:59.proud with your family be? They are already crying! Everyone is

:05:00. > :05:03.here, so many of my family. After missing last time, they have got to

:05:04. > :05:12.see me in a Championship race. Great to see your tears of joy,

:05:13. > :05:18.congratulations again. Many congratulations to Jodie

:05:19. > :05:24.Stimpson. Just how emotional was she out there?

:05:25. > :05:31.What a result. Team Wales couldn't be here but this is the next best

:05:32. > :05:34.thing. Seeing two British girls on the podium is fantastic, I am

:05:35. > :05:40.delighted for both of them. Jodie really deserved that win, she

:05:41. > :05:45.fought all the way. And for Vicky to get onto the podium is a

:05:46. > :05:49.breakthrough. All the home Nations rivals but, at

:05:50. > :05:54.the end of the day, the home nations are also supporting each other and

:05:55. > :05:59.everyone suddenly becomes British. Jodie has won the very first medal

:06:00. > :06:23.of the games, especially after missing London 2012. We are still

:06:24. > :06:45.Team GB. Everyone is working as a team.

:06:46. > :07:04.Let us talk about the race. They had the medals handed to them on a

:07:05. > :07:09.plate, really. We saw Emma Jackson on the front, on the bike. Lucy

:07:10. > :07:15.tried to shake things up, but nobody followed her.

:07:16. > :07:20.Emma Jackson normally lives at the back of the bike pack. So it shows

:07:21. > :07:28.it wasn't fast. Great to see Lucy have a go. The

:07:29. > :07:32.best way for a performance is to create a break but it didn't pull

:07:33. > :07:36.off. Just to explain why no one followed, they did not want to use

:07:37. > :07:49.up their energy because they knew they could out one Lucy.

:07:50. > :07:57.Those girls are very fast. -- outrun Lucy.

:07:58. > :08:04.Flora Duffy has roots in Barrow, lots of support for her.

:08:05. > :08:09.Initially, there was a clip of Emma Jackson's ankle. Does that happen

:08:10. > :08:15.when you are racing tightly? It does, you are in such close

:08:16. > :08:20.proximity. It is annoying when it happens, it gets you out of your

:08:21. > :08:24.stride but it would not have affected the overall result.

:08:25. > :08:32.Let us talk about that finish. They dropped the New Zealander, Andrea

:08:33. > :08:39.Hewitt. Two goals on the podium. Vicky is

:08:40. > :08:47.more than delighted with that. -- girls.

:08:48. > :08:57.Your best friend, winning one of the medals, one of the first medals.

:08:58. > :09:02.I felt so emotional. It is weird when you are on the other side but I

:09:03. > :09:08.thoroughly enjoyed watching it. How do you think the British camp will

:09:09. > :09:14.be feeling about the race they saw out there today?

:09:15. > :09:26.Definitely very positive, it bodes well for the rest of the season, and

:09:27. > :09:30.in Edmonton. It is a busy day at Strathclyde

:09:31. > :09:34.Country Park. We still have the men's triathlon to come in a couple

:09:35. > :09:39.of hours. Like the women's race, England will

:09:40. > :09:46.probably dominate although we have 12 home Nations athletes on the

:09:47. > :09:49.start line. I think it will be the Brownlee brothers.

:09:50. > :09:54.They have to be clear favourites. They were dominant in hamburg ten

:09:55. > :09:58.days ago. I can't see anyone rivalling them for that gold and

:09:59. > :10:08.silver. Alistair, I think, followed by Jonny.

:10:09. > :10:26.The men's race starts at 3pm over on BBC One, do join us.

:10:27. > :10:29.Don't miss it. Great to see Non working for us on the BBC. Now,

:10:30. > :10:39.let's turn our attention to swimming. A great reception for

:10:40. > :10:45.Hannah Miley, as she began her quest to land gold in the 400m individual

:10:46. > :10:49.medley. This is the start list. Hannah Miley is the 2010

:10:50. > :10:50.Commonwealth champion, lining up against the Australian Jessica

:10:51. > :11:00.Pengelly. She actually competed for South

:11:01. > :11:30.Africa in the Olympics in Beijing in 2008.

:11:31. > :11:36.The commentator was just introducing the swimmers to the crowd, after

:11:37. > :11:49.about 25 metres, which was rather surreal! The 16-year-old going in

:11:50. > :11:57.first, ahead of Hannah Miley. The 16-year-old Canadian, trains in

:11:58. > :12:02.Vancouver, leading this first hit. Scots, do not worry just yet,

:12:03. > :12:08.because Hannah Miley should come back on the backstroke, and then,

:12:09. > :12:11.real strength in the breaststroke. Fascinating, she is not pushing this

:12:12. > :12:19.very hard. Let's see what she does, Hannah. I would imagine she will be

:12:20. > :12:23.a little bit faster than that in the final. But the backstroke and

:12:24. > :12:29.certainly the breaststroke is where Hannah will pick it up. But leading

:12:30. > :12:40.at the moment is 16-year-old Emily Overholt of Canada. Overholt going

:12:41. > :12:45.underneath a world-record split. She was world junior representative for

:12:46. > :12:59.Canada in the 200 fly. So, playing her strong suit in this heat. Now,

:13:00. > :13:11.trying to hold on. Hannah Miley coming back on her, this 16-year-old

:13:12. > :13:15.is having a great race. She is only actually two seconds outside of the

:13:16. > :13:25.British record pace, which is very fast indeed. So, this pace is hot.

:13:26. > :13:31.So, the halfway mark of this first hit of the women's 400m individual

:13:32. > :13:42.medley. Emily Overholt of Canada in first place, and there she is. But

:13:43. > :13:49.catching her is the 24-year-old Hannah Miley, and looking pretty

:13:50. > :13:55.good at the moment. Yes, we would expect this gap would be reduced,

:13:56. > :14:01.maybe even broken down. Also swimming well, the other Canadian.

:14:02. > :14:23.All three of these girls coming back into line now. Hannah Miley will

:14:24. > :14:38.want to win this, I think. Hannah Miley, starting to take over

:14:39. > :14:51.now. Leading by about a second, with the freestyle to come. So, Hannah

:14:52. > :15:01.Miley in the lead. Also swimming very well is the 16-year-old Emily

:15:02. > :15:04.Overholt, from Canada. Looking pretty comfortable now. She does not

:15:05. > :15:13.look like she is pushing it particularly hard. Coming up to the

:15:14. > :15:19.last 50 metres, just a body length ahead. Overholt having the race of

:15:20. > :15:21.her life, she came second in the Canadian trials. She is going to

:15:22. > :15:45.blitz her personal best. When you are a really great swimmer,

:15:46. > :15:53.it is quite difficult to swim it medium or slow. So, Hannah Miley

:15:54. > :16:05.winning Heat 1. A new Commonwealth Games record. A faster time than she

:16:06. > :16:18.posted to win the gold medal in Delhi. But that is only the heat,

:16:19. > :16:22.the final tonight will be a cracker. What sort of plan did you have

:16:23. > :16:28.coming into that? I thought 4.40 would have been good, and just for

:16:29. > :16:33.it to feel quite solid. It was great to have the girl from Canada going

:16:34. > :16:36.out, because it kept me on my toes. It was a lot faster than the time I

:16:37. > :16:40.was thinking of. It is all about the recovery now, trying to get rested

:16:41. > :16:49.and hopefully have a good race tonight. Did you enjoy last night,

:16:50. > :16:55.did you watch the opening ceremony on television? Only until the

:16:56. > :17:04.athletes came out, and then I had to get to sleep. Had one of the best

:17:05. > :17:06.nights sleep I have ever had. But it sounded amazing, and it is great to

:17:07. > :17:20.be part of it. In the second heat, Ellen Gandy, who

:17:21. > :17:23.won three medals in Delhi for England before switching allegiance

:17:24. > :17:28.to Australia in 2012, was lining up, but it was Aimee Willmott who won

:17:29. > :17:33.the heat, with Keryn McMaster coming in in second. So, let's take a look

:17:34. > :17:48.at this evening's final. There will be a terrific atmosphere

:17:49. > :17:53.in the Tollcross swimming pool this evening for that. Michael Jamieson

:17:54. > :17:59.also had a very warm home welcome in the men's 200m breaststroke, along

:18:00. > :18:06.with Ross Murdoch and Calum Tait, and also look out for the athlete

:18:07. > :18:08.from the Soto, whose qualifying time is more than a minute slower than

:18:09. > :18:43.everyone else. Murdoch is a great sprinter. He has

:18:44. > :18:47.got a good stroke. But we have all been waiting to see how Jamieson

:18:48. > :18:51.looks. It is one thing talking about somebody but you do not know their

:18:52. > :19:01.form. We cannot see inside their training pool. But a good, strong

:19:02. > :19:07.first 70 metres. And really, well, there is only these three in the

:19:08. > :19:14.race. They have just dropped everybody behind. Because the Aussie

:19:15. > :19:18.is out of it, really... They are doing some kind of synchronised

:19:19. > :19:24.things! Well, this is brilliant for Scotland. Jamieson, Murdoch and

:19:25. > :19:31.Tait, and don't they look good? Leading his Michael Jamieson, but he

:19:32. > :19:43.has not topped the other two. This could be wonderful for Scottish

:19:44. > :19:48.breaststroke swimming. That splits time was wrong, they are just about

:19:49. > :19:52.a second behind the world-record split time. But at the moment

:19:53. > :19:56.Jamieson does not look the best of these. Murdoch looks the best of

:19:57. > :19:59.these three swimmers. I think Jamieson probably knows he has done

:20:00. > :20:05.enough, but Murdoch is taking his opportunity. Five years the junior

:20:06. > :20:09.of Michael Jamieson, the 20-year-old, trains in Stirling,

:20:10. > :20:15.having his moments. He looks really good as well, Ross Murdoch. He won

:20:16. > :20:20.the Scottish Championships in the 50 and the 100, but look at this, he is

:20:21. > :20:28.swimming away from Michael Jamieson, and look at the time! My goodness

:20:29. > :20:33.me, that is a massive lifetime best! Look at his eyes! My goodness, he

:20:34. > :20:40.meant that! That is very, very impressive indeed. Ross Murdoch wins

:20:41. > :20:48.the final heat for the men's 200m breaststroke, and he looks super.

:20:49. > :21:07.So, look at that, a massive Games record for Ross Murdoch of Scotland.

:21:08. > :21:16.How did that feel? It was a strange year last year for you, just missed

:21:17. > :21:27.that record early on? I am in good shape. I got confidence from doing a

:21:28. > :21:30.good time after probably my worst training block I had ever done, so I

:21:31. > :21:36.am trying to use that as a positive, blowing the cobwebs out this morning

:21:37. > :21:39.and said Linda nerves. Tonight I will just try and... Hopefully the

:21:40. > :21:49.crowd will make as much noise as possible. -- settling the nerves.

:21:50. > :21:53.You have to take in every single moment, don't you? Yes, we had a

:21:54. > :21:57.team meeting, and that was what I said to the youngsters - do not be

:21:58. > :22:03.scared of racing anyone, take advantage of this crowd. After

:22:04. > :22:06.seeing the advantage it gave me in London, this is something you will

:22:07. > :22:09.remember for the rest of your swimming career, and after that as

:22:10. > :22:15.well. In the first of the three heats, it was all lies on Christian

:22:16. > :22:21.Sprenger, who is aiming for four gold medals here in Glasgow. But it

:22:22. > :22:26.was James Wilby of England who finished first, with Rob Holderness

:22:27. > :22:38.of Wales coming second. Andrew Willis was fourth.

:22:39. > :22:46.So, we have a terrific looking final ahead of us. Let's take a look at

:22:47. > :23:00.how Michael Jamieson will line up this evening.

:23:01. > :23:10.They are off at one minute past nine this evening, precisely.

:23:11. > :23:22.What a hit this is. Mack Horton, the fastest seed from Australia, goes in

:23:23. > :23:29.lane four. This is going to be fascinating.

:23:30. > :23:37.Let me just remind you how they are lining up here. Robbie Renwick was

:23:38. > :23:41.looking to seal a place in the final of the men's 400m freestyle. He went

:23:42. > :23:57.in the third of the heats that you were looking at.

:23:58. > :24:10.Two Scots leading the race. Nobody wants to be fifth in this one! You

:24:11. > :24:13.definitely do not want to be the Australian with the yellow hat. He

:24:14. > :24:18.has got to be massively careful. He should really win this. If here's

:24:19. > :24:24.not careful, he might miss out. Does not look good! This is very

:24:25. > :24:44.interesting indeed. My goodness me. Look at that. Milne WinZip. James

:24:45. > :24:58.Guy got fourth place. But Scotland, one, two, three. Obviously, the

:24:59. > :25:02.crowd is getting to you guys! Yes, people calling our names, it is

:25:03. > :25:07.really great. Were you inspired watching opening ceremony last

:25:08. > :25:14.night? Definitely. It really did help me a lot this morning. You are

:25:15. > :25:19.an old hand at this, we know you as a 200 champion, but that was a good

:25:20. > :25:28.400. Yes, still giving the 400 ago. I have had a good season of

:25:29. > :25:32.training. I am chuffed to get a one 23 with these guys. Do you think the

:25:33. > :25:38.passion makes the Scottish heart even bigger? Definitely, these

:25:39. > :25:44.youngsters, you watch them swim, it is fantastic. These guys will be

:25:45. > :25:46.around for the next four years. It is going to be a very exciting final

:25:47. > :25:53.- good luck to you. Ieuan Lloyd of Wales went

:25:54. > :25:55.in the final heat, heat four, alongside reigning Commonwealth

:25:56. > :25:58.champion, Canadian Ryan Cochrane. And the fastest man this year,

:25:59. > :26:00.Australian David McKeon. And it was the Australian who

:26:01. > :26:02.dominated this swim, Unfortunately, Lloyd was just out

:26:03. > :26:06.of qualification and will not In the second of this evening's

:26:07. > :26:24.finals, this is the line-up They're off

:26:25. > :26:27.at 16 minutes past seven. So this should be

:26:28. > :26:30.an amazing race for the home crowd England's 18-year-old Siobhan Marie

:26:31. > :26:39.O'Connor also got her Glasgow Games underway this morning at Tollcross,

:26:40. > :26:42.in the women's 200m freestyle. A natural racer, she is targeting an

:26:43. > :26:54.impressive five medals this week. Heat three, Sean McMahon is in lane

:26:55. > :27:13.one. There are no Australians or Scots in

:27:14. > :27:20.this second heat. They have gone off very quickly indeed. She has really

:27:21. > :27:27.gone for it. Hopefully, she can control it. It looks good. Spotting

:27:28. > :27:32.her turn. Looking forward, to make sure she was the right distance. It

:27:33. > :27:43.comes a bit more naturally as you get older. Boyle, a really good,

:27:44. > :27:46.strong, experienced summer, trained in the States. Now back in New

:27:47. > :27:56.Zealand with a former British swimming coach. The field is

:27:57. > :28:03.catching up a little bit more. A little bit quicker than the first

:28:04. > :28:12.heat. 1.5 lengths to go in the third heat.

:28:13. > :28:20.Siobhan Marie O'Connor had a quick start but the others are catching

:28:21. > :28:27.her up. Boyle, expect her to come back. This is good, solid swimming

:28:28. > :28:33.from O'Connor, still very young, just 18. She needs to hold on. First

:28:34. > :28:39.or second. It is a fast heat. There are no semifinals.

:28:40. > :28:50.A really good swim, Boyle is sticking with her. Look at that,

:28:51. > :28:57.just holding off, O'Connor from Boyle. A very good swim. Siobhan

:28:58. > :29:04.Marie O'Connor setting a new Commonwealth Games record, to win

:29:05. > :29:09.the third of four heats. On paper, the fastest heat is to come. This

:29:10. > :29:18.will put her in a decent lane for the final.

:29:19. > :29:24.A big cheer at the end. Fastest so far with a Games record.

:29:25. > :29:33.You look like you are informed. I was really happy with that. Always

:29:34. > :29:40.tough in the morning. I'm really happy with that. I want to push it

:29:41. > :29:45.on a bit more in the final. You are a busy person, have you got

:29:46. > :29:49.a priority? Every race is important to me, I

:29:50. > :29:57.want to do well in all of my races all stop fingers crossed. I have

:29:58. > :30:01.trained hard. I wanted a busy programme this time so I have given

:30:02. > :30:04.everything in training. Hopefully I am ready this week.

:30:05. > :30:12.Have a fantastic race later on. On the third of this evening's

:30:13. > :30:15.finals, this is how they line up Australia's Emma McKeon,

:30:16. > :30:19.who's the second fastest But a fantastic swim from Siobhan

:30:20. > :30:24.Marie O?Connor puts her right in contention, along with London 2012

:30:25. > :30:26.underachiever Wales' Jazz Carlin Another final this evening is

:30:27. > :30:31.the men's 100m free S9 category. Clare Balding will be bringing you

:30:32. > :30:44.all the final action this evening, To squash now, and England's world

:30:45. > :31:05.champion Nick Matthew has started the defence of his title against

:31:06. > :31:31.Xavier Koenig, a 29-year-old The middle of the game is very

:31:32. > :31:36.important. A beautiful fade from behind him on the back wall, an

:31:37. > :32:03.incredible shot from Nick Matthew. Dying on the side wall.

:32:04. > :32:14.Matthew, 7-3 up, leading by one game. Right now, looking very

:32:15. > :32:22.comfortable. Playing the ball around nicely. We have just seen Nick

:32:23. > :32:27.Matthew, in the last rallies, increasing the pace slightly,

:32:28. > :32:38.volleying the ball around the middle of the court. A nice hold. Yes, a

:32:39. > :32:44.lovely, structured rally from Nick. If anyone watching at home needs to

:32:45. > :32:50.see how to play a great rally in squash, that is the way to do it.

:32:51. > :32:54.He put pressure with the length deep into the court. He volleyed well,

:32:55. > :33:06.created the opportunity and put the ball away. A classic rally.

:33:07. > :33:14.A beautiful change of direction, using the side wall.

:33:15. > :33:18.Nick Clegg is in today, with Heather Deighton heavily involved with the

:33:19. > :33:23.Hong Kong Squash rackets Association, a wonderful input on

:33:24. > :33:32.the game of squash all around the world. Chatting in the front row.

:33:33. > :33:42.Heather, the lady on the right of Nick Clegg.

:33:43. > :33:52.There we go. Second game in the bag. Nick Matthew takes that 11-3.

:33:53. > :34:03.We are into this third game, Nick Matthew against Xavier Koenig of

:34:04. > :34:09.Mauritius. Koenig has put on a great performance so far, some great

:34:10. > :34:14.rallies, great shots. Nick Matthew in both the first and second games

:34:15. > :34:23.has tended to put more pressure on in the middle of the game. I think

:34:24. > :34:36.that is where Koenig has two focus. He had to concentrate, not let Nick

:34:37. > :34:44.Matthew increase the pace. Nick has come out here, really focused. Very

:34:45. > :34:50.quick. Nice change of direction. A super shot there. Well disguised,

:34:51. > :34:52.crosscourt, drop at the front of the court.

:34:53. > :34:57.Certainly starting to step the pace up now.

:34:58. > :35:00.A squash court you could argue is a relatively small area for two big

:35:01. > :35:07.athletes. When you go the wrong way, it seems like the biggest, like

:35:08. > :35:18.a soccer pitch. A great kill.

:35:19. > :35:25.I think we will see a different Nick Matthew in this third game. He will

:35:26. > :35:29.accelerate the racket threw the ball a little bit more quickly to take

:35:30. > :35:35.the ball very early. He's not letting up. He really wants to get a

:35:36. > :35:49.taste of what the later rounds will feel like. No mercy.

:35:50. > :35:57.A nice drop therefrom Koenig but the return by Nick, and some great play

:35:58. > :36:04.in the backhand corner. A practice money for a moment.

:36:05. > :36:07.A nice exchange. A change of direction. A tough rally for Xavier

:36:08. > :36:15.Koenig. Oh, and at the bottom. A lovely

:36:16. > :36:20.exchange in that front, backhand corner.

:36:21. > :36:27.We see the value of controlling the middle of the courts and getting in

:36:28. > :36:35.front of your opponent. As Nick Matthew did that and is doing again

:36:36. > :36:43.in this rally. -- did there. Again, with Nick, that

:36:44. > :36:47.early in susceptible -- imperceptible delays. Incredibly

:36:48. > :37:01.hard to read. Oh, great shot.

:37:02. > :37:09.A lovely crosscourt. The crowd cheering. Appreciating that shot.

:37:10. > :37:12.A wry smile on his face. A high-risk shot. Why not, at this stage?

:37:13. > :37:36.Nothing to lose. Matthew, taking a commanding lead in

:37:37. > :37:38.the third game. Certainly showing no mercy, he wanted to get this game in

:37:39. > :37:47.the bag. A great performance from Xavier

:37:48. > :38:02.Koenig. That was unlucky. A good effort and

:38:03. > :38:05.a nice smile on his face. He just slipped over there. But he managed

:38:06. > :38:24.to pick himself back up again. And another great length from Nick

:38:25. > :38:29.Matthew. He really has got the feel on that

:38:30. > :38:31.ball, getting it deep into the corner. That actually gives him

:38:32. > :38:49.match point. 10-1. And again. Another lovely drive to

:38:50. > :38:58.end the match. Nick Matthew. He takes that match three games to

:38:59. > :39:04.love, a great effort by Xavier Koenig. What a wonderful

:39:05. > :39:08.experience. Getting a lovely cheer from the crowd. He clapped his hand

:39:09. > :39:28.but Nick Matthew is the victor today. As I say, three games to love

:39:29. > :39:32.11-3, 11-3, 11-1. Congratulations to him but that

:39:33. > :39:36.victory. James will stop, silver medallist

:39:37. > :39:41.from Delhi, began his campaign against Nicholas Kyme. You can see

:39:42. > :39:47.the conclusion of that match online. Olympic 5,000m and 10,000m

:39:48. > :39:59.champion Mo Farah is out of these Commonwealth Games, withdrawing

:40:32. > :40:37.the men's 200m breaststroke heat with a massive PB for Ross Murdoch

:40:38. > :40:43.are pushing Michael Jamieson down into second, Callum Tait third.

:40:44. > :40:49.That is it from us on BBC Two. If you switch over to BBC1, we will

:40:50. > :40:56.have further coverage of the 20 14th Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. What

:40:57. > :41:01.a beautiful day it in Scotland. So far, it is all about Jodie

:41:02. > :41:20.Stimpson, gold medal in the women's triathlon, for England.
