:00:25. > :00:36.Hello again! It is all happening, not just here in Glasgow, but over

:00:37. > :00:40.in Carnoustie. Jennifer Mack and toss -- Jennifer McIntosh of

:00:41. > :00:46.Scotland is in the 50 metres rifle event. If she was to win a medal

:00:47. > :00:48.it'll be her faith in the Commonwealth Games, which would be a

:00:49. > :00:52.record for a Scottish women in this event. She is currently lying in

:00:53. > :01:01.silver medal position. That is on BBC Three right now. We have a date

:01:02. > :01:06.across the river at the Hydro. This is the closing stages of the women's

:01:07. > :01:24.team are final in gymnastics. Australia are on the floor and only

:01:25. > :01:35.then and Canada could stop could stop them winning gold tonight.

:01:36. > :01:43.That would be a huge production. Maybe 1.5 in total. Not the start

:01:44. > :02:02.they would have wanted. Definitely not. Problems for her.

:02:03. > :02:17.Those first two tumbles did a huge amount of damage.

:02:18. > :02:27.Two and a half twists. She needs to keep focus. It is about damage

:02:28. > :02:48.limitation now. She can't afford another mistake in

:02:49. > :02:57.the tumble. Double tuck. A nightmare start, I think we can say. Two big

:02:58. > :03:02.problems. It is pressure, isn't it? It is obvious that they'd know what

:03:03. > :03:07.is at stake. That first tumble was a long way out. Amazing that you would

:03:08. > :03:25.miss judge by so much. It is amazing that she would miss

:03:26. > :04:30.judge that much. Very smooth in the free cartwheel.

:04:31. > :04:44.Plenty of difficulty in this routine. Again, the somersault. Five

:04:45. > :04:50.acrobatic skills, three leaps, jumps or spins to get your difficulty

:04:51. > :04:53.score. Here, the dismount. Double tuck, that was good, a lot better

:04:54. > :05:13.than the first gymnast. Wheels is very much in contention

:05:14. > :05:19.for the bronze medal. That score will not help Australia. I think

:05:20. > :05:35.that was quite fortunate score, to be honest. It was.

:05:36. > :05:47.Larrissa Miller, 22 years old. I often think how disorientating it

:05:48. > :05:51.can be in an arena like this, you are so used to practising in your

:05:52. > :05:53.gym, and all of a sudden you end up in the corner you are not used to.

:05:54. > :06:08.She is vastly a -- experienced. Very confident through the leaps. So

:06:09. > :06:39.far, so good. Lots of power through the flick.

:06:40. > :06:40.Double Arabian. This is more like what Pierce trillions would have

:06:41. > :07:33.hoped to see. -- the Australians. Lots of nerves. She has to nail

:07:34. > :07:40.this. And she didn't. So, the Australians are faltering. Well, I

:07:41. > :07:43.spoke to Larrissa Miller yesterday and she said how much they were

:07:44. > :07:51.relying on these two pieces of apparatus. They were counting on

:07:52. > :07:59.today. So far, it is not working out. Not only did she fall, but she

:08:00. > :08:06.finished massively after the music. Inexplicable. Yes. She had some

:08:07. > :08:13.great bets in it, like this. The double Arabian was absolute

:08:14. > :08:16.precision. The high! Superb into the job. Then it was almost like she ran

:08:17. > :08:34.out of steam. Canada are chasing bronze. Very

:08:35. > :08:42.compare apples to the Welsh scores. -- compare rubble -- you can compare

:08:43. > :08:54.that closely to the Welsh scores. Elizabeth Black was 15th in the

:08:55. > :09:01.world Championships on this piece of apparatus. The experienced member of

:09:02. > :09:16.the Canadian team. Very powerful, very strong. Straight off. That will

:09:17. > :09:19.be costly. Actually, she looked very solid on this in training. Like

:09:20. > :09:52.that. Here comes another big difficulty

:09:53. > :10:01.backflip. That was very well performed. Well held.

:10:02. > :10:11.Good leaps. Now she has got into her stride, she is very strong. Another

:10:12. > :10:30.front somersault. A big dismount. After she had

:10:31. > :10:36.followed off, the rest was great! We know that the Welsh team are

:10:37. > :10:41.watching. I have seen them up there. This is getting to be very, very

:10:42. > :10:50.nerve wracking. What is happening out there? Larrissa Miller, as if

:10:51. > :11:02.there wasn't enough weight on the shoulders after that score.

:11:03. > :11:06.Lauren Mitchell is not in the best shape of her life, but she is very

:11:07. > :11:20.gutsy. She is away. Phil twisting double. A

:11:21. > :11:35.huge tumble to open. More like it. Double tuck Arabian. She has started

:11:36. > :12:06.well. Two very impressive tumbles. I hope it is not too late for the

:12:07. > :12:14.Australians to mind a serious challenge. She is rising to this

:12:15. > :12:36.particular challenge. Two and a half twists punch tuck.

:12:37. > :12:44.Looking to salvage something for the Australian team. The double pike was

:12:45. > :12:49.nicely done. She couldn't have done any better. A different class to the

:12:50. > :12:57.other performances. That was beautiful. Relieving a little bit of

:12:58. > :13:04.tension. They will be very jittery, the Australians. That was a great

:13:05. > :13:13.job, it really was. She showed all her class. She has always had that

:13:14. > :13:22.class. Elizabeth Black scores 13.966. That is quite a high score,

:13:23. > :13:26.considering. Yes, because she had won Markoff, so would've been

:13:27. > :13:50.14.966, so, very high. This is Maegan Chant. Very nice

:13:51. > :14:02.flip. Straight back somersault. Smoothly into her jumps.

:14:03. > :14:14.Lovely height on the first leap. The second one was a little bit more

:14:15. > :14:28.flat. Really, she was short of power for

:14:29. > :14:49.that. Big dismount. She needs a big

:14:50. > :14:54.dismount. Double pike. That was well landed. The damage was done in the

:14:55. > :15:01.middle. The damage could well have been done, but it could be to the

:15:02. > :15:06.advantage of Wales. They would make history, Wales, just as Scotland

:15:07. > :15:07.did. They have never won a team medal. There they are waiting

:15:08. > :15:34.expectantly. Opening. So a last chance to scrape as many

:15:35. > :15:38.points together as possible before been. Olivia Vivien takes to the

:15:39. > :15:57.floor for Australia. No doubt she did not have an idea it

:15:58. > :16:08.would be so crucial for the team effort for Australia. The double

:16:09. > :16:25.twist. And just a little lean to one side from the spin.

:16:26. > :17:00.Two and a half twists, walked away from it a little bit.

:17:01. > :17:15.Here she goes, final tumble. The double pike, but again, a loss of

:17:16. > :17:21.control, and was the foot out? Big problem with the apparatus for

:17:22. > :17:26.Australia, no doubt about it. Yes, and fuelling a little bit

:17:27. > :17:37.desperate now. They have won this title for games on the trot, and are

:17:38. > :17:45.going for aphids. -- a fifth. Chant, 12.3334 Canada, certainly

:17:46. > :17:53.lower than Wales for that piece of apparatus.

:17:54. > :17:57.I was going to say, the lustful routine for Australia, not really

:17:58. > :18:05.beautifully danced. A very average routine.

:18:06. > :18:11.It turned out to be crucial. Bless her, but she did not come up with

:18:12. > :18:20.the goods. She fought hard, plenty of heart.

:18:21. > :18:27.Australia, not having a good Commonwealth Games.

:18:28. > :18:36.Not so far. But we still have one piece to go. The apparatus that

:18:37. > :18:44.Australia are renowned for. For their sake, I wonder if they can

:18:45. > :18:45.keep their heads together. There is a watt riding on this piece of

:18:46. > :19:09.apparatus. The Welsh team, absolutely in the

:19:10. > :19:13.zone. It would be great for them,

:19:14. > :19:20.fabulous. Going into this, we talked, even

:19:21. > :19:31.before podium training, wondering, fifth, fourth. Australia are hoping

:19:32. > :19:36.for a few more points than that. England ahead, Wales in third, only

:19:37. > :20:11.three marks behind at this stage. The warm up for the final piece of

:20:12. > :20:24.apparatus. What will the next ten minutes hold? Wales, England,

:20:25. > :20:33.Australia, Canada. There have been so many surprises and upsets. The

:20:34. > :20:48.Australian floor, it floored me! Very unexpected. Stefanie Merkle

:20:49. > :20:54.aiming for Canadian bronze in the team final.

:20:55. > :20:58.A big opportunity for her, how crucial this is, full twist double,

:20:59. > :21:34.no problem. Second tumble. Two and a half twists

:21:35. > :21:37.into punch tuck. Managing to project a lot of character. Third one up.

:21:38. > :22:04.Triple twist. Third tumble, is she safely through?

:22:05. > :22:10.This is a good platform for Canada indeed, a good tumble, great start

:22:11. > :22:18.for Canada. Yes, job done. It starts to build

:22:19. > :22:25.with difficulty. Secure one, then just ill, everything you get is a

:22:26. > :22:37.bonus. A good start without a shadow of a doubt.

:22:38. > :22:45.The best gymnast the Australians have on this piece of apparatus.

:22:46. > :22:55.Straight into the very difficult cartwheel. She saved it very well.

:22:56. > :23:03.Smooth spin. You can see she is very precise and her work.

:23:04. > :23:19.Building her difficulty. Just held on.

:23:20. > :23:26.The job where the gymnast takes the head right off the beam, tries to

:23:27. > :23:35.touch the head with the feet. Very nice jump, linking the two,

:23:36. > :23:50.gives you a bonus. There have been a couple of moments

:23:51. > :23:55.she has had to fight but it has been a good routine. Good double pike,

:23:56. > :23:59.they will be happy with that as a start.

:24:00. > :24:07.Impressive routine under extreme pressure.

:24:08. > :24:20.There were some wobbles, although it was difficult. Merkle, 13.633.

:24:21. > :24:42.A bit higher than the best of the Welsh girls.

:24:43. > :24:57.Isabella Onyshko, aiming for something in the region of 13.35.

:24:58. > :25:15.Traumatic ? the second Canadian off an impressive start. -- dramatic

:25:16. > :25:23.double. Double Tok, but she is out of the area. Interesting to see if

:25:24. > :25:24.she got both feet in on the landing before she bounced out. She attacked

:25:25. > :26:05.that very confidently. Double pike. Just the question

:26:06. > :26:16.whether she did land, on the one half twist, if she got the landing

:26:17. > :26:25.in the area. It will be very tight. She is a nice, elegant, supple

:26:26. > :26:32.gymnast. Here we go. They are really quite unpredictable, we have seen

:26:33. > :26:38.that from a couple of people. She landed in and then she bounced out.

:26:39. > :26:48.But it will be a 0.5 that option with those steps she had to take. --

:26:49. > :27:07.deduction. Georgia Rose Brown. She had a

:27:08. > :27:17.nightmare on the floor so will hope to do her country proud her.

:27:18. > :27:29.An elegant, long leg to gymnast. She will want to put that all behind

:27:30. > :27:40.her. Smooth and the leaks. -- in the leaps. She is having to fight to

:27:41. > :28:03.keep on, very difficult, the illusion turn. She is off, it was

:28:04. > :28:13.only a matter of time, she was fighting so hard during the routine.

:28:14. > :28:34.She is struggling here. Good front somersault. She for -- isn't quite a

:28:35. > :28:46.nerve wracking situation. She has had a wonderful and we want to be

:28:47. > :28:58.precise with the dismount. -- one fall. You can normally bank on the

:28:59. > :29:04.Australians on the beam but they have not really reduced. --

:29:05. > :30:06.produced. She is highly competent in the leap.

:30:07. > :30:27.She did it. She did it with fabulous ease.

:30:28. > :30:35.half twists, into double pike. A little stagger forward. This is such

:30:36. > :30:55.a powerful, impressive stuff. And expressive, too.

:30:56. > :31:08.It was deep. Lucky to get away with that! Well, she attacked debt! I'm

:31:09. > :31:15.my reckoning, Canada needs to gymnasts over 13.609. Well, that had

:31:16. > :31:23.some great work, but there were two bad landings in it. She does that

:31:24. > :31:31.amazing middle Tom -- tumble. The two and a half twists, walk-out,

:31:32. > :31:35.into a round of lip double pike. It is worth a lot, but if you stumble

:31:36. > :31:46.forwards like this, it loses all that it was worth. It has to be five

:31:47. > :31:50.tenths, doesn't it? It does, indeed. 11.24 Georgia-Rose Brown. Not good

:31:51. > :32:04.enough. Quite simply, not good enough. Absolutely.

:32:05. > :32:13.Lauren Mitchell for Australia. Extremely experienced, a wonderful

:32:14. > :32:23.beam worker. Already started with a very difficult set.

:32:24. > :32:49.This is the spin that she is so well-known for. One, too, and a

:32:50. > :32:56.little bit before the hands came down. She does that so well. A very

:32:57. > :33:09.smooth walkover. She fixes the middle of her body so effectively.

:33:10. > :33:18.She uses her core. Stomach muscles. She controls centre of gravity.

:33:19. > :33:35.That was really, very low. I think she just manage to squeeze it in.

:33:36. > :33:40.Just. It was close! Millimetres! It is the second time her performance

:33:41. > :33:49.has been crucial. The work on the beam was good, strong, but there

:33:50. > :33:55.will be a big deduction. A score of 13.633 four Elsabeth Black. They

:33:56. > :34:03.were closing in, but it is not want to be good enough. They needed 15.

:34:04. > :34:14.Do they have another gymnast to go? Yes, but for up. Megan Champ still

:34:15. > :34:39.has her chants. With everything to do. --

:34:40. > :34:48.Phil twisting double pike. Another big, big tumble. -- Phil twisting

:34:49. > :35:09.double pike. She just eddies herself before the

:35:10. > :35:18.spin. A lack of control at the end of it. We have seen some fabulous

:35:19. > :35:20.tumbling. A big double tuck. A bit of a bouncer. I think she went out

:35:21. > :35:49.of the floor. Good leaps. pike. That is secure. Well, I really

:35:50. > :35:50.powerful gymnast. Well, there is a mark between Canada and Wales at the

:35:51. > :35:53.moment. powerful gymnast. Well, there is a

:35:54. > :35:58.mark between Canada and I do not think that that is going to be good

:35:59. > :36:05.enough. I think Wales are guaranteed a medal. Which would be

:36:06. > :36:12.unbelievable! Absolutely fantastic! I will pile on the pressure. 13.866

:36:13. > :36:21.for Australia and they have gone ahead of Wales. So, this is a bonus

:36:22. > :36:26.to try and get closer to England. They are six marks away, England are

:36:27. > :36:37.safe. Australia are guaranteed a silver. Wales, I am sure, have

:36:38. > :36:45.bronze. Well, the final gymnast for Australia in this team competition.

:36:46. > :36:50.She has fallen off on her first element on the layout somersault.

:36:51. > :37:01.So, the scores will remain as they are.

:37:02. > :37:13.So, the change in fortunes for Australia towards England. This is a

:37:14. > :37:19.slow routine. We have spoken about gymnasts needing to have rhythm and

:37:20. > :37:28.speed on the beam. Just a little bit more rhythm needed here. Good leap.

:37:29. > :37:33.She was about to go into a second league but changed her mind, when

:37:34. > :37:45.poor security. That was not a good leap, bent legs.

:37:46. > :37:52.She is the second gymnast from Australia to come to grief on that

:37:53. > :38:00.move. It is quite tricky on the beam.

:38:01. > :38:09.Now, she really just wants to dismount securely. Watch the beam.

:38:10. > :38:12.Make the double twist. She does. This has not been a sparkling

:38:13. > :38:19.performance from Australia on the beam. Australia will not retain

:38:20. > :38:25.their title of teen Commonwealth champions for a fifth consecutive

:38:26. > :38:35.games. Canada will not be able to get up into the bronze medal

:38:36. > :38:41.position. We will see very shortly, 13.133 four Maegan Chant on the

:38:42. > :38:49.floor. Wales have made history. For the first time they get a medal in

:38:50. > :38:55.the team competition. Absolutely fantastic. I am thrilled for the

:38:56. > :39:01.Welsh team, and the national coach who has led themselves strongly for

:39:02. > :39:06.the last eight years. What a performance from them. Chris,

:39:07. > :39:13.you are close to tears. Isn't this a wonderful moment? Australia were not

:39:14. > :39:19.strong enough to fight off England. England taken by six marks. The

:39:20. > :39:26.Welsh daffodils are in bloom! So they should be! Absolutely

:39:27. > :39:32.fantastic. I was very surprised with Australia and Canada, how they

:39:33. > :39:39.really faltered. They have been forces to be reckoned with in the

:39:40. > :39:46.past. Australia, although they got a silver, they will not be happy. It

:39:47. > :39:53.is a long time since England's... In fact, have England's ever taken the

:39:54. > :39:59.men and women's titles together? It's the first time. That was not a

:40:00. > :40:06.happy beam routine right from the beginning. True false. This will

:40:07. > :40:15.effect the finals quite a lot, as well. We will have a lot of

:40:16. > :40:21.different faces in the finals, I am sure.

:40:22. > :40:33.We wait for this score. Was that completely unexpected? When I

:40:34. > :40:38.watched the podium training, they did not look too strong. They looked

:40:39. > :40:43.vulnerable on the beam, to be perfectly honest. Generally, they

:40:44. > :40:48.have not been so strong around the world. We don't see them in

:40:49. > :40:54.competition because they are so far away from us. This is one routine

:40:55. > :41:02.that produced what we expected from the Australians. She looked very

:41:03. > :41:16.slow through this dismount series. You have to build the power. She is

:41:17. > :41:25.not a tiny gymnast that can rotate very fast.

:41:26. > :41:31.Very exciting, this team competition. I think the judges are

:41:32. > :41:37.considering a protest from Australia. Let's see what happens. I

:41:38. > :41:42.think we are still waiting for the final score. I don't think we have

:41:43. > :41:51.actually had Olivia Vivian's score. That is probably why the star is

:41:52. > :41:56.there. We are still waiting for the score from Olivia Vivian. She fell

:41:57. > :42:02.off, so there is no chance of accounting. Beth, we were taken

:42:03. > :42:06.aback. The Welsh team is up at the top there looking down. What a

:42:07. > :42:11.competition for them to be watching, wondering what the outcome will be.

:42:12. > :42:20.It was so exciting to watch! The battle for third and fourth, I think

:42:21. > :42:26.it was more nerve wracking watching Canada against Wales rather than

:42:27. > :42:32.England against Australia. You just need to put down your score, walk

:42:33. > :42:37.out and keep everything crossed! You could see wheels nervously sitting

:42:38. > :42:41.there. Even when they were confirmed as third they still looked nervous.

:42:42. > :42:46.What does it feel like to be first and to make history? It is amazing.

:42:47. > :42:52.Tracy has been working with a team for over eight years now. It means

:42:53. > :42:56.so much to her. She was in tears at the end of the competition. The

:42:57. > :43:01.girls have worked so strongly. You could not have asked for any more of

:43:02. > :43:05.them. We wondered if Australia would be strong enough. Were you slightly

:43:06. > :43:10.disappointed with what you saw? I saw them during podium training and

:43:11. > :43:13.you could tell they were struggling. Yesterday they came out and

:43:14. > :43:21.performed at their best. I wasn't sure what they would come out with.

:43:22. > :43:29.I think the difference was something like six marks in the end.

:43:30. > :43:36.Overnight, England had a lead of 1.5 marks. Each issue to what is

:43:37. > :43:43.happening in gymnastics and the home nations. We have so much strength in

:43:44. > :43:47.depth. Claudia putting out such a great score on the floor. That was

:43:48. > :43:56.1.5 marks over what anybody else was posting. Despite -- apart from

:43:57. > :44:00.Lauren Mitchell, I think we saw every Australian athletes stepping

:44:01. > :44:09.out of the floor. What was going on? You could just tell they were

:44:10. > :44:15.struggling. You could see the coaches really encouraging the

:44:16. > :44:20.performers, but it just wasn't enough on the day. They were not

:44:21. > :44:26.competition fit on the floor. It is 1990 8 cents England took the team

:44:27. > :44:32.gold. What will it mean for the team? It will mean so much for them.

:44:33. > :44:37.For every athlete, Olympic is the pinnacle, but the Commonwealth Games

:44:38. > :44:42.is the friendly games, it is the one that you enjoy and just want to be

:44:43. > :44:46.part of. What is going on within the camp in England? What is the secret

:44:47. > :44:51.to what appears to be a very slow progression, but eventually world

:44:52. > :44:56.dominance? It is confidence, belief and hard work. That is all it is.

:44:57. > :45:02.You are the one that laid down that path for many to follow. You're

:45:03. > :45:06.still very much involved, I do? Amanda was my personal coach and she

:45:07. > :45:09.is now the national coach. She overlooks all the home Nations teams

:45:10. > :45:16.and she is working magic with them. A letter -- a lot of credit goes to

:45:17. > :45:20.their personal coaches. They only go up to the National Centre for camps.

:45:21. > :45:32.Their personal coaches are in the gym day in day out. This is about

:45:33. > :45:42.qualifying for individual fouls also, how much would they have

:45:43. > :45:46.focused on that? -- finals. For the England team, they really

:45:47. > :45:53.wanted the team title, their main focus would have been that.

:45:54. > :46:00.Individual titles are a bonus. And you will agree this is a very

:46:01. > :46:06.tough schedule. You have got to lift yourself emotionally, haven't you?

:46:07. > :46:13.Coming out again for the second day, and then there is the finals

:46:14. > :46:21.next! Song gymnasts will compete over five

:46:22. > :46:29.days. -- some. But the personal coaches are with them. They get them

:46:30. > :46:33.recovered and prepared. As soon as this medal ceremony is over they

:46:34. > :46:39.will be resting and recuperating for tomorrow.

:46:40. > :46:44.Wales, how much will that help them fitted them? What difference will it

:46:45. > :46:50.make in the future for the home nations?

:46:51. > :46:56.It is great for the home nations. They know what it takes to be at the

:46:57. > :47:01.top of the game. When you have the likes of Australia and Canada, it is

:47:02. > :47:08.hard to get in. But they have done amazing and made history.

:47:09. > :47:17.What will it do for the confidence? Australia are not too shabby, to

:47:18. > :47:23.beat a team like that by six marks! And don't Wales look glorious in

:47:24. > :47:26.bronze medal position? The isle of man in 10th, Northern Ireland ahead

:47:27. > :47:43.of them at nine. The gymnasts from England,

:47:44. > :47:51.Scotland, and Wales, all celebrating today. And the news is great from

:47:52. > :47:59.Carnoustie in the last day of the shooting events. Gold for Daniel

:48:00. > :48:08.Rivers. Already had a bronze in the ten metre event. But he upgraded it

:48:09. > :48:13.today. He idolises Bradley Wiggins, I understand, his sporting hero, but

:48:14. > :48:22.now he has something that Bradley does not, a Commonwealth title.

:48:23. > :48:32.Early on, his team-mate, David Lockman, he claimed his second gold

:48:33. > :48:38.of the Games. A games record score in the Queens prize individual

:48:39. > :48:53.event. Jim Peyton of Canada silver, and England's Pari Patel with the

:48:54. > :49:02.bronze. I love that ceremony for the gold medal in the Queens prize! Jen

:49:03. > :49:03.the Macintosh won a silver today also, and here's a record-breaking

:49:04. > :49:14.moment for you. This is to work out who takes gold

:49:15. > :49:27.and silver. It has come down to this. Mum cannot bear to look!

:49:28. > :49:32.What a way to finish the shooting. 50 seconds, one shot a piece to

:49:33. > :49:36.decide who will take gold. The house will come down if Macintosh can

:49:37. > :49:49.manage it. She has been in this position before in Delhi of course.

:49:50. > :50:04.Ser, very composed, but Macintosh has been better in the last three

:50:05. > :50:14.shots. But oh, dear! Surely if Ser just keeps her calm, she has the

:50:15. > :50:23.gold. It is enough. She takes gold.

:50:24. > :50:29.Jasmine Ser of Singapore. Jenna McIntosh of Scotland will have to

:50:30. > :50:33.settle for the silver. But a second medal for her, after bronze

:50:34. > :50:36.yesterday in the 50 metre event. Disappointment for the Scottish

:50:37. > :50:44.crowd. But a magnificent performance by Ser

:50:45. > :50:57.who stuck to her guns, excuse the pun, what a performance.

:50:58. > :51:09.She is a very, very good. But what a performance from Jim McIntosh. Also

:51:10. > :51:16.23. -- Jen. The Edinburgh girl who just came up the road here to

:51:17. > :51:25.Carnoustie. The sole tyre is around her. But let's not forget, a long

:51:26. > :51:33.way from home, Jasmine Ser, absolutely brilliant shooting, what

:51:34. > :51:38.a final we have had. Macintosh no doubt thinking about

:51:39. > :51:43.what could have been. But she has a silver medal at the Commonwealth

:51:44. > :51:47.Games. I am not sure what the coach just

:51:48. > :51:56.said but he has given her a big hug.

:51:57. > :52:04.But another medal for Jasmine Ser, she has threatened that gold all

:52:05. > :52:10.through this week. Goodness me. Time to catch our breaths.

:52:11. > :52:19.A brilliant gold for Singapore. But we are joined by the official Queen

:52:20. > :52:27.of the Commonwealth Games for Scotland, a fifth medal, Jen

:52:28. > :52:33.Macintosh, congratulations, and just explain to others what that moment

:52:34. > :52:38.meant for you. It was incredible. To win that medal

:52:39. > :52:44.in front of the home crowd, an amazing experience.

:52:45. > :52:50.I thought you gave a bit of an ironic laugh. What was going through

:52:51. > :52:55.your mind? Not an awful lot if I am being

:52:56. > :53:01.honest. Just trying to keep my heartrate down, and failing

:53:02. > :53:07.dismally. But it was a bit of a tricky shot.

:53:08. > :53:12.You have had pressure on you, going for this record. But yesterday you

:53:13. > :53:19.equalled the record of the late Eleanor Golden, and your mother,

:53:20. > :53:25.Shirley! You now have the bragging rights over your mum. What were her

:53:26. > :53:31.words to you? She just gave me a big hug and said

:53:32. > :53:34.she was really proud of me. I am thankful to her and my dad for

:53:35. > :53:37.giving me support over the years and getting me to a point where I could

:53:38. > :53:43.win a couple of medals here in Glasgow.

:53:44. > :53:50.I saw her award you your fourth medal yesterday, you were clearly a

:53:51. > :53:56.very moved. That was emotional. It meant a lot to get it from her. Your

:53:57. > :54:01.father is the shooting manager for Scotland, your mother has a

:54:02. > :54:06.wonderful track record, your younger sister is also involved in the team.

:54:07. > :54:11.But you did not actually handle a rifle until you return years old.

:54:12. > :54:21.Was it inevitable you would follow your parents? -- ten years old. I

:54:22. > :54:26.was always given a choice, but I was keen to follow in my mum's

:54:27. > :54:32.footsteps. I would say, I want a turn, I want a turn! They finally

:54:33. > :54:46.gave in and here I am a few years later. Is reopened now in your

:54:47. > :54:52.sites? -- Rio. Yes. London did not go all that well so I aim to have a

:54:53. > :54:58.slightly better Olympics in 2016. You talked about trying to keep calm

:54:59. > :55:04.when you take aim. Do you have a mantra? What do you do when you're

:55:05. > :55:09.in that zone? Most of the time I just focus on my

:55:10. > :55:14.breathing, making sure it is slow and even. Sometimes I am vaguely

:55:15. > :55:22.aware of what is going on with the wind. Thinking about, is my hip in

:55:23. > :55:27.the right place? My hand? It is a mental check list. And I physically

:55:28. > :55:35.ready to take the shot? Then when it comes down to it, go.

:55:36. > :55:42.Do you do other land-based training? Or is solely on the range?

:55:43. > :55:47.I do a mixture. I am on the range five hours a day. Then a couple of

:55:48. > :55:53.hours of general cardiovascular fit this work. And a strength and

:55:54. > :56:00.conditioning programme based on Pilates and yoga exercises.

:56:01. > :56:09.I know that this is the event that got away from you in Delhi. Which is

:56:10. > :56:16.the most problematic position, shooting kneeling or lying down?

:56:17. > :56:22.Today I was kneeling, it is usually my strong suit. My favourite

:56:23. > :56:29.position has always been kneeling, but it let me down today!

:56:30. > :56:34.But you are the most decorated women ever at a Commonwealth Games from

:56:35. > :56:40.Scotland. Absolutely wonderful for you and thank you for joining us.

:56:41. > :56:46.Thank you. So many headlines created today. Not

:56:47. > :56:53.only Jennifer with her fifth medal but also for Scotland, a 35th medal

:56:54. > :57:03.smashes the previous overall total of 33 from 1986 in Edinburgh. The

:57:04. > :57:07.other headlines on day six: England came out on top in the battle for

:57:08. > :57:13.gold in the men's gymnastics team final. An historic silver medal for

:57:14. > :57:18.Scotland, their first ever podium finish in the competition. And a

:57:19. > :57:23.wonderful success for England's women in the team final, a first

:57:24. > :57:29.success for 20 years. And a first ever bronze for Wales. Jennifer

:57:30. > :57:34.McIntosh has become the first Scottish woman to win five

:57:35. > :57:42.Commonwealth. She surpasses her mother, Shirley. And Daniel Rivers

:57:43. > :57:45.won the men's 50 metres rifle to claim a second shooting gold of the

:57:46. > :57:55.day for England after David Lockman triumphed. Gold, silver, bronze, all

:57:56. > :57:57.flying around today. I must now go and leave you in the capable hands

:57:58. > :57:57.of Gary Lineker. and leave you in the capable

:57:58. > :58:03.Goodbye.
