:00:49. > :00:56.Hello and welcome to the World Championships, the elite have

:00:56. > :01:04.gathered here to tackle the Cowberg Hill. While we are talking about

:01:04. > :01:14.landmark, now is as good a time as any to reflect on what's been an

:01:14. > :01:22.

:01:22. > :01:28.COMMENTATOR: Cavendish wears green. It's a piece of British cycling

:01:28. > :01:35.history. Cavendish has won the world title

:01:35. > :01:42.for Great Britain. It's a sensational ride by Bradley Wiggins.

:01:42. > :01:48.Wig begins is the winner of the greatest bicycle race in the world.

:01:48. > :01:55.Bradley Wiggins is the Olympic champion!

:01:55. > :01:59.The historic time of valingnberg sits at the foot of the Cowberg and

:01:59. > :02:09.offers a great backdrop to to these worlds. Here are the people

:02:09. > :02:15.whizzing past it to foost to look. Cavendish and co De fending their

:02:15. > :02:20.titles. Highlights tomorrow as the elite women take to the roads.

:02:20. > :02:25.Olympic champion Marian Voss the favourite in front of her adoring

:02:25. > :02:30.public. That race you can see live now on the red button. It's about

:02:30. > :02:34.the Time Trials. Emma Pooley looking to retain her title.

:02:34. > :02:39.Bradley Wiggins is focusing his efforts on the road race. Watch out

:02:39. > :02:43.for the silver medallist from London Tony Martin who won this

:02:43. > :02:49.Championship last year. Returning to the World Championship

:02:49. > :02:53.this is year an old event with a new twist, a team time trial. For

:02:53. > :02:56.trade teams, not national organisations. Riders racing in the

:02:56. > :03:00.colours are the Tour de France, for example. The first race of the week

:03:00. > :03:06.was the women's event with Emma Pooley and Sharon Laws of grun

:03:06. > :03:16.hoping to finish on a high before their trade team falls at the end

:03:16. > :03:17.

:03:18. > :03:23.of the season. Orica led by Drink to the line and

:03:23. > :03:33.they're going strongly. 22 seconds sliced off the original leader's

:03:33. > :03:40.

:03:40. > :03:50.time. 21.6 kilometre mark Orica - Ais, quicker becoming the leaders.

:03:50. > :03:52.

:03:52. > :04:00.Here comes the challenge from Specialized. Orica -Ais, they're

:04:00. > :04:06.fast er. Emma Pooley is on the front here of the AA Drink team

:04:06. > :04:10.squad. As we come back to Team Specialized. They have been setting

:04:10. > :04:14.the road alight through the whole of this test and this is the

:04:14. > :04:20.arrival at the finish for AA Drink, the team that contains Emma Pooley

:04:20. > :04:29.and shash Ron Laws from Great Britain -- Sharon Laws from Great

:04:29. > :04:35.Britain and Rusvelo are the leaders. Two more teams to come in. Half a

:04:35. > :04:45.minute sliced off the time of Rusvelo. Finishing effort here then

:04:45. > :04:45.

:04:45. > :04:53.for the Australian team of Orica - Ais. They'll push AA Drink into

:04:53. > :05:03.second position. Over a minute and a half faster than their opponents,

:05:03. > :05:04.

:05:04. > :05:10.very impressive. 300 metres left for Team Specialized. Orica- Ais.

:05:10. > :05:20.The German professional team coming to the line. Top podium position

:05:20. > :05:22.

:05:22. > :05:32.for Team Specialized. It was a very, very polished performance. The

:05:32. > :05:37.

:05:37. > :05:41.Must mean a lot to win in the trade colours knowing it's coming to an

:05:41. > :05:46.end sadly Yes, we wanted to show something as a team that we can do

:05:46. > :05:50.a really good result and it's a bit sad that the team's coming to an

:05:51. > :05:59.end, but we made a point so that's good. What does this tell us about

:05:59. > :06:03.your form? Not much. It's a team thing isn't it - I felt rubbish.

:06:03. > :06:06.Emma was absolutely amazing. She was so strong today that we

:06:07. > :06:15.definitely would not have been anywhere close without Emma on the

:06:15. > :06:24.front. In the men's race, Team Skye went out. They were on the back

:06:24. > :06:30.foot losing Thomas to a mechanical and another team-mate to fatigue.

:06:30. > :06:37.BMC Racing Team squad. Young Finney, what a future he has ahead of him.

:06:37. > :06:43.Coming back to the leaders. Silky smooth style slicing into the air,

:06:43. > :06:50.no movement of the shoulders at all. 44 seconds faster than Rabobank.

:06:50. > :06:57.You are looking at a well polished drilled outfit. That's the team of

:06:57. > :07:04.Omega Quick Step. This is the 38 kilometre split for BMC. They won't

:07:04. > :07:14.beat Omega Quick Step, but they'll go second definitely. 8 seconds off

:07:14. > :07:17.the pace. There is a time I didn't expect to see. I thought Orica

:07:17. > :07:25.Greenedge would have been the quickest. Doesn't look as though it

:07:25. > :07:31.will happen for them today. This is the split time for Sky at

:07:31. > :07:41.38 kilometres and they're well shy of the time of the leaders, Omega

:07:41. > :07:41.

:07:41. > :07:46.Quick Step. 12th place for Sky. Omega Quick Step climbing the

:07:46. > :07:52.Cowberg. This is the final climb and all still together. Remember,

:07:52. > :07:57.they have been setting the markers all the way and the crowd realise

:07:57. > :08:02.they're looking at the possible winners here then of this first

:08:02. > :08:07.ever team time trial for trade teams at the World Championship. I

:08:07. > :08:12.must admit, they look good. The Belgian team and the American team

:08:12. > :08:22.racing and they've both really been the squads of the match.

:08:22. > :08:27.

:08:27. > :08:34.This is the finishing effort Omega are going to take their time apart.

:08:34. > :08:38.Here they go. Their new leaders. What is it going to finish at? It's

:08:38. > :08:48.a stormer of a ride there by omega Quick Step. Here comes the line.

:08:48. > :08:54.Have a look at the clock. One minute and four seconds faster. 50

:08:54. > :08:58.kilometres per four. Omega Quick Step are the new leaders and I'll

:08:58. > :09:02.tell you what, it's going to take a mighty effort for anybody to beat

:09:02. > :09:06.that. The team they are we are looking at here now could be their

:09:06. > :09:11.new challengers, the BMC American outfit team. The fourth man is in

:09:11. > :09:17.trouble. He'll have to grit his teeth. That is Taylor Finney

:09:17. > :09:22.actually. It's the 22-year-old American becoming detached. Time

:09:22. > :09:26.will be taken on him so the other three need to look back, wait and

:09:26. > :09:31.regroup because if he falls away, then of course he's got to make his

:09:31. > :09:37.way all the way to the line without any help from the other riders, so

:09:37. > :09:42.they need to wait forte lor Finney. I think they've realised -- Taylor

:09:42. > :09:46.Finney. It's quite a long run from the summit to the finish here. Tom

:09:46. > :09:52.puts his thumb up and says "this is ours".

:09:52. > :09:56.Well, I don't believe it. BMC racing. Are they going to topple

:09:56. > :10:04.omega Quick Step even despite the problem when they had to wait forte

:10:04. > :10:08.lor Finney ant final climb. BMC racing -- Taylor Finney. The final

:10:08. > :10:12.metres of the contest. So close, they are getting near tore the

:10:12. > :10:17.line! It's 15 seconds separating them now. Is it going to be the top

:10:17. > :10:22.podium position for BMC racing, the American professional team, or are

:10:22. > :10:28.the Belgian team of Omega Quick Step going to take it? The line is

:10:28. > :10:35.nearer, it's going to be so close. Just slipped away from them. Three

:10:35. > :10:45.seconds only! Omega Quick Step are still in the lead and BMC Racing go

:10:45. > :10:45.

:10:45. > :10:53.second with Liquigascannondale down into third. That was so close.

:10:53. > :11:00.Orica Greenedge. I must admit, they are looking a little laboured here.

:11:00. > :11:09.Here is a shot of Team Sky. The time split that we saw earlier on

:11:09. > :11:12.the road indicated that they were off the pace. Orica Greenedge may

:11:13. > :11:16.deny Liquigascannondale a podium position here right at the end.

:11:16. > :11:24.They've sat there a long, long time and watched the teams come in.

:11:24. > :11:34.That's how it looks like it's going to finish. Orica Greenedge in third

:11:34. > :11:44.

:11:44. > :11:50.position. Yes, they go third. Sky are looking to threaten a time of

:11:50. > :11:53.Garmin currently in ninth position. Will they make the top ten? Ninth

:11:53. > :12:00.position. One minute and 32 seconds off the

:12:01. > :12:10.pace of the winning team. There is the official result of the

:12:11. > :12:23.

:12:23. > :12:27.Congratulations, this has got your week off to a very good start?

:12:27. > :12:31.the gold was there to win today. We were one of the favourites I think

:12:31. > :12:37.and everybody was super motivated and ready to give everything. I

:12:37. > :12:43.think we did a perfect job. Everybody was giving everything

:12:44. > :12:49.100%. The ending was pretty close but we had the lucky team and we

:12:49. > :12:55.are happy now. Take us through the time trial from your perspective,

:12:55. > :13:00.always difficult when you lose a guy? Sergio we lost and then lost

:13:00. > :13:03.another which wasn't ideal. With only four of us, it's disappointing

:13:03. > :13:06.but it was a struggle to get the team together and I think we've

:13:06. > :13:11.done a good performance considering, yes. Stkpwht you have had a very

:13:11. > :13:16.difficult year with ups and downs, can you successfully De fend this

:13:16. > :13:23.title? Yes, it was a great day for me and the whole team and gives me

:13:23. > :13:26.a lot of motivation for Wednesday. I made good preparation for today

:13:26. > :13:30.and Wednesday so I'm really optimistic and hope I can De fend

:13:30. > :13:33.the title. In the women's individual time

:13:33. > :13:38.trial, Emma Pooley was Britain's strong chance of a medal. She would

:13:38. > :13:42.normally be relishing this. A hilly course and the chance to regain her

:13:42. > :13:52.world title. She's currently questioning her stpwier future in

:13:52. > :13:54.

:13:54. > :13:58.the sport. -- her entire future in the sport.

:13:58. > :14:03.Emma, the last time we talked was in London just after the Olympic

:14:03. > :14:09.time trial. With a bit of distance now, how do you reflect on your

:14:10. > :14:16.performance? Not disastrous. I was disappointed. I don't think I did

:14:16. > :14:20.get to the result I wanted. I did all right, it was just that a lot

:14:20. > :14:24.of people did better. Be your performance have any bearing on

:14:24. > :14:29.your decision as to what you do after this year? Yes, I think so.

:14:29. > :14:34.It could go either way. I haven't decided howiful about racing next

:14:34. > :14:38.year yet and it also De pends on teams and if I get offers from a

:14:38. > :14:41.team, and that partly De pends on how I do this week. What do you

:14:41. > :14:50.make of this course? I like this course. It's tough. Certainly suits

:14:50. > :14:54.me better than the course in London did. It's got a bit of efrl so it's

:14:54. > :15:00.quite open and flat at the start -- everything. The wind will play a

:15:00. > :15:06.part and there's a decent climb then it's bumpy and a very fast bit,

:15:06. > :15:16.then steep to the finish. You have to accelerate so corners like in

:15:16. > :15:21.Copenhagen, that's the only reason You have been quoted as being quite

:15:21. > :15:26.frustrated as far as the situation as women's racing cause. You're not

:15:26. > :15:31.alone in that. It is frustrating. I think the UCI could do more to

:15:31. > :15:34.further our racing. Compared to men's cycling, it is a different

:15:35. > :15:39.level of publicity and it would make it so much more sense if the

:15:39. > :15:43.races were run together, or if the immense stage race also had a

:15:43. > :15:48.woman's race on the same day with the same finish. It is not a huge

:15:48. > :15:52.amount of extra effort for the organiser and I wish the you see I

:15:52. > :15:55.would push that. Bradley Wiggins has said he believes there should

:15:55. > :15:59.be more women's teams and more investment and he would like to get

:15:59. > :16:03.involved in helping to kick-start that. That is really appreciated,

:16:03. > :16:09.because when Bradley Wiggins says something people listen. All the

:16:09. > :16:15.people that watched the women's road race, if they could e-mail the

:16:15. > :16:19.UCI and say, we want to see more! Get it on TV!

:16:19. > :16:24.So all, this is the short distance of Dutch countryside that could go

:16:24. > :16:28.a long way to deciding Emma Pooley's future. 24 kilometres from

:16:28. > :16:34.about as close to Beldam as you can get without crossing the border to

:16:34. > :16:40.Vulcan but -- to Valkenburg. It plateaux, then drops down into

:16:40. > :16:48.Valkenburg, and like all races this week upped the Cauberg, and then

:16:48. > :16:54.around one kilometre to the finish Wendy Houvenaghel, representing

:16:54. > :16:58.Great Britain. The 37-year-old, who has had a very impressive career,

:16:58. > :17:02.she has been four times a silver medal winner in the world

:17:02. > :17:07.championships for the individual pursuit. She has also won a silver

:17:07. > :17:10.medal in Beijing for the individual pursuit, and cheers in good form.

:17:10. > :17:20.She has just clinched an international time-trial in France

:17:20. > :17:27.over 33 kilometres, and this course Ten-second countdown is indicated

:17:27. > :17:33.now to Evelyn Stephens, who also won waddled -- one of the World Cup

:17:33. > :17:37.events earlier in the year. A good strong start by Evelyn

:17:37. > :17:44.Stephens. She really is attacking this. We have not seen a start like

:17:44. > :17:54.this yet. That is good. Let's just told she makes it round this left-

:17:54. > :17:56.

:17:56. > :18:03.hand bend. She will have to back Emma Pooley, she is in superb form.

:18:04. > :18:08.This kind of course, believe me, with the two claims on it, more

:18:08. > :18:12.importantly the ascent of the Cauberg, will favour Emma Pooley.

:18:12. > :18:18.Emma Pooley has been talking about taking an ear out or even retiring

:18:18. > :18:28.from the sport. Well, I hope that she changes her mind and maybe her

:18:28. > :18:34.

:18:35. > :18:38.Very strong and determined, this course will suit her, as well.

:18:38. > :18:45.she is determined, two bronze medals and the silver medal last

:18:45. > :18:53.year. Can she do better? De Ibiza to will be next to start.

:18:53. > :18:59.36 years old. -- Judith Arndt. This is a last competitive out in, she

:18:59. > :19:03.is retiring after the road race on Saturday. -- competitive outing.

:19:03. > :19:08.She has been a world champion, Judith Arndt, back in 2004, and she

:19:08. > :19:15.has been a world individual pursuit champion, as well, so she is very

:19:15. > :19:22.talented. Evelyn Stephens has gone through

:19:22. > :19:30.fattest through -- through fattest -- she has gone through fastest

:19:30. > :19:40.She did she she is going quicker than the rest, the American you're

:19:40. > :19:49.

:19:49. > :19:53.looking at here is the new pace 16 kilometres., Van Dijk is the

:19:53. > :20:00.leader. Dark she is leading, nearly 43 kilometres per hour around the

:20:00. > :20:07.circuit. Emma Pooley, the first claim comes

:20:07. > :20:11.just before 10, muggers. -- just before ten kilometres. I think this

:20:11. > :20:15.is where she can make up the ground because she is probably the best

:20:15. > :20:20.climber on the circuit. She really is, she need to make

:20:20. > :20:22.that time up. I am hoping we will see her pull into that lead when we

:20:22. > :20:27.get to the final ride of the Cauberg.

:20:27. > :20:34.This is the finishing effort of Wendy Houvenaghel, and the leader

:20:34. > :20:37.time is out of each. Quite a surprise, that, because the leader

:20:37. > :20:41.is a sprinter, Wendy Houvenaghel is a specialist against the clock. I

:20:41. > :20:43.thought she might have deterred, thought she might have deterred,

:20:43. > :20:46.but it is fourth for her, and with the competitors still to come and

:20:46. > :20:53.it looks like she will finish somewhere around eight for maybe

:20:53. > :20:59.9th. The leader's time is being put to

:20:59. > :21:07.the sword by Stevens. 17 seconds quicker, this American is flying

:21:07. > :21:11.around the circuit. She has winds on her wheels here.

:21:11. > :21:20.Back to Emma Pooley, look at this, she was coming up to the market at

:21:20. > :21:29.10.7, litters. -- up to the market at 10.7, to us. Seagull 0.56

:21:29. > :21:32.seconds, Emma Pooley is the leader, faster than Stevens. She will be

:21:32. > :21:42.getting that information in her radio. It is looking good for Emma

:21:42. > :21:48.

:21:48. > :21:54.Pooley. Villumsen, or only 10.47 seconds of

:21:54. > :21:56.the time of Emma Pooley. -- 0.47 seconds.

:21:56. > :22:03.Back to Judith Arndt, the defending world champion. Still waiting for

:22:03. > :22:08.her first time split. Emma Pooley is under pressure, and Judith are

:22:08. > :22:13.not, pulling the curtains down on a star-studded courier, is 6.33

:22:13. > :22:21.seconds faster than Emma Pooley. A blistering start by the defending

:22:21. > :22:31.champion. She looks supreme, doesn't she?

:22:31. > :22:33.

:22:33. > :22:36.This is an impressive time, very impressive by Van Dijk. She get out

:22:36. > :22:44.of the saddled a sprint for the line. The partisan crowd aren't

:22:44. > :22:54.really supporting her, 39.7 seconds quicker.

:22:54. > :22:58.

:22:58. > :23:04.Terrific style by Emma Pooley, the former world champion, so

:23:04. > :23:09.economical with her efforts. But she has some work to do, because

:23:09. > :23:13.she is 11.8 seconds off the pace of Stevens of the USA at the second

:23:13. > :23:19.time split. She has eight kilometres to wipe a way that

:23:19. > :23:23.deficit. This is Stevens, threatening the time of the Dutch

:23:23. > :23:29.woman. I tell you what, it looks like Stevens will become the new

:23:29. > :23:39.leader. Here she comes, Stevens our bags at the line. Cheers 20 seconds

:23:39. > :23:42.

:23:42. > :23:47.faster than the leader and is in Let's have a look at this time at

:23:47. > :23:54.16 kilometres. Only five seconds off the pace of Stevens, which

:23:54. > :23:57.means Emma Pooley is in the bronze- medal position at that split time.

:23:57. > :24:03.Judith Arndt is six times a medallist in the time-trials, so

:24:03. > :24:06.she knows her way around the time- trial course better than most.

:24:06. > :24:11.impressively approaching the 16 kilometres split, and the

:24:11. > :24:17.American's type is under threat. 10 seconds taken off it, so Judith

:24:17. > :24:23.Arndt is, at the moment, showing that the rest of the way here.

:24:23. > :24:28.Emma Pooley, taking that left-hand turn in Valkenburg, and this is the

:24:28. > :24:33.climb where we will see what Emma Pooley has got left. Can she see --

:24:33. > :24:37.can she get herself on the top spot? This is the style we

:24:37. > :24:47.associate with Emma Pooley, dancing on those paddles, and she is one of

:24:47. > :24:51.

:24:51. > :24:55.the greatest climbers on the women's circuit. Look at Villumsen,

:24:55. > :25:03.the Kiwi is absolutely flying. Nobody has the power to beat

:25:03. > :25:07.today's art, but she is going well. -- the power to beat Judith Arndt.

:25:07. > :25:15.She is taking the turn that Emma Pooley just took. Slowly, very

:25:15. > :25:21.steady, cautious. On to the Cauberg, one more rider to take that left-

:25:21. > :25:24.hander, Judith Arndt. It looks like a strong finish from Emma Pooley.

:25:24. > :25:31.The does look like a strong finish, but she will need it, she will

:25:31. > :25:35.really have to apply it. And look at this, absolutely reduced almost

:25:35. > :25:39.to a standstill on the climb up. This is the difference, she is in

:25:39. > :25:46.the saddle, I don't think she is covering as much ground per pedal

:25:46. > :25:53.Rev atoll as Pooley was. Emma Pooley is getting to the line, is

:25:53. > :25:56.she going to get a medal? She is not going to deny Stevens.

:25:56. > :26:01.Can she put the Netherlands cyclist down into the bronze medal

:26:01. > :26:05.position? A big effort for Emma Pooley, it is going to be closed.

:26:05. > :26:11.Emma Pooley is in the silver-medal position, 15 seconds off the pace

:26:11. > :26:21.for Stevens, but there are still two water, and they are dangerous

:26:21. > :26:24.competitors. -- two more It is looking like a successful

:26:25. > :26:34.defence for the German, and Stephens knows that she is under

:26:35. > :26:41.

:26:41. > :26:44.There is the time that Emma Pooley has put in, Stevens is looking at

:26:44. > :26:48.the Big Clock, she is wondering if our effort will be good enough to

:26:48. > :26:55.give her the gold medal. I think it could slip a way here, or is she

:26:55. > :27:05.still going to be in gold? That is exactly how it is going to be, she

:27:05. > :27:06.

:27:06. > :27:09.comes up to the line, Villumsen in silver medal position. Emma Pooley

:27:10. > :27:12.is in the bronze at the moment, but I think she is going to have to

:27:12. > :27:18.settle for fourth because we have the defending world champion,

:27:18. > :27:23.Judith Arndt, on a blistering ride today. She is eating up the final

:27:23. > :27:32.metres. Here she comes inside the concluding 300 metres, a cracking

:27:32. > :27:37.ride, also by Stevens, who will settle for silver. Here she comes,

:27:37. > :27:42.the 36-year-old the defending world champion is going to take the gold

:27:42. > :27:50.medal again. Terrific piece of riding, Judith Arndt takes the gold

:27:50. > :27:57.medal, Stevens get the silver. For Emma Pooley, one shy of the podium,

:27:57. > :28:07.she will finish today in fourth Let me come from the positions

:28:07. > :28:17.

:28:17. > :28:21.Wendy Houvenaghel having to settle for 14.

:28:21. > :28:27.It is a bit disappointing. And hindsight you look at it and think,

:28:27. > :28:34.it was quite close. I could not have gone faster than the wider.

:28:35. > :28:39.They were much faster. There was naught one point that I could say

:28:39. > :28:43.they were faster, I must have been slow all the way around. It was a

:28:43. > :28:50.very fast race, there was a tailwind almost the entire way, so

:28:50. > :28:54.it was quite fast. I tried to go hard in the beginning because the

:28:54. > :28:59.start is sometimes my problem, I am too slow, then I tried to call

:28:59. > :29:04.really hard before the last descent down to Valkenburg, because on the

:29:04. > :29:08.descent you get a little bit of a rest so you can go hard before that.

:29:08. > :29:11.It helps that then you have the stage that flattened out at the top,

:29:11. > :29:16.you are able to reserve a little bit for that last pushed to the

:29:16. > :29:20.finish? A yes, I think that has had duly the hardest part of the race,

:29:20. > :29:24.when you come to the flat part, in your head you think, OK, decline is

:29:24. > :29:29.over, but it is still very hard. Then it is a mental thing.

:29:29. > :29:34.course, the road race to come, the form is there, can you said this to

:29:34. > :29:38.one side and concentrate on that? Yes, I hope so. The time-trials is

:29:39. > :29:43.a good indicator, but there are a few people who did not rate in the

:29:43. > :29:47.time-trial, like Marianne Vos, obviously. We will see, I am a bit

:29:47. > :29:51.disappointed at the moment, but we will see. How does it feel to be

:29:51. > :30:01.back in this wonderful rainbow jersey? I don't really know what to

:30:01. > :30:05.

:30:06. > :30:10.Jennifer Arndt, a worthy champion? I think she is, five or six times

:30:10. > :30:14.now. If anybody knows how to time trial, she's the rider to do it, on

:30:14. > :30:18.this circuit as well, it's technical and she measured it

:30:18. > :30:21.perfectly. Retiring at the end of this. We'll see her in the road

:30:21. > :30:25.race but she's been a worthy champion? She really has and she

:30:25. > :30:30.went out there and it showed what it meant as well to everyone around,

:30:30. > :30:38.the way that she finished. She didn't know she'd finished by the

:30:38. > :30:45.way she was looking and asking there. She was probably relieved

:30:45. > :30:51.and she'll be looking goord to Saturday's road race as well --

:30:51. > :30:55.looking forward. She benefitted from the wind didn't she? From the

:30:55. > :30:59.commentary it doesn't seem too bad but once the circuit opens up, a

:30:59. > :31:02.rider like that would benefit with the wind, especially someone like

:31:02. > :31:07.Emma Pooley there, she wouldn't have had much benefit from the wind

:31:07. > :31:11.like that. What did you make of Emma Pooley's performance today?

:31:11. > :31:16.For me I was really disappointed for her. I know she came into this

:31:16. > :31:20.race, she was really going for it, she had good form, fantastic many

:31:20. > :31:25.the road race and the Olympics and the course would have suited her a

:31:25. > :31:30.lot more than it did in London. Ten, 15 clom terse where we have the

:31:30. > :31:36.tail wind, that was where she seemed to lose the time - tsh

:31:36. > :31:41.kilometres. I thought she was able to bring it back, but she ran out

:31:41. > :31:46.of legs, disappointed and I'm sure upset. Great Britain's Eleanor

:31:46. > :31:50.Barker was bidding to upgrade her silver from last year to gold. The

:31:50. > :31:55.18-year-old was the enultimate cyclist to tackle the course and

:31:55. > :32:00.was up at every time check. She stormed home to win by an

:32:00. > :32:05.impressive 35 seconds following in the fat steps of fellow Welsh rider

:32:05. > :32:13.Nicole Cooke who won this very title 11 years ago. How does it

:32:13. > :32:16.feel to wear the rain po jersey? hasn't sunk in yet -- rainbow

:32:16. > :32:20.jersey? But to absolutely emphatically win it in a quality

:32:20. > :32:28.field. When you look at the times, you are obviously in the form of

:32:28. > :32:32.your life? Oh, yes, I didn't feel it, you know, for the first couple

:32:32. > :32:36.of K I felt it was hard and finishing was a long way away but I

:32:36. > :32:42.got into a rhythm and had no idea what the time gaps were or anything,

:32:42. > :32:48.just rode my hardest. Barker provided the perfect lead-out for

:32:48. > :32:55.Lucy Garner. Having crested the Cowberg with 100 metres to go she

:32:55. > :33:00.broke clear of the sprinting group of around 20 riders. She celebrated

:33:00. > :33:03.her 18th birthday on Thursday and becomes the only woman to win back-

:33:03. > :33:07.to-back junior titles following in the footsteps of Nicole Cooke.

:33:07. > :33:12.year when I won was a dream come true and to win it again on the

:33:12. > :33:16.course it was, I just am really speechless, I just can't believe

:33:16. > :33:20.it's happened. The team that I had around me, all the girls just

:33:20. > :33:24.worked so hard to help me defend my title so this jersey isn't for me

:33:24. > :33:28.really, it's for the whole team because they helped me so much, I

:33:28. > :33:32.can't thank them all enough. wondered whether the lumps and

:33:32. > :33:36.bumps on this course would end up with a sprint finish but you looked

:33:36. > :33:40.super strong at the start there? was training for the hills because

:33:40. > :33:44.I knew it would be hilly. The last climb I enjoyed it, the amount of

:33:44. > :33:48.people cheering you on gives you that edge. You have to keep digging

:33:48. > :33:55.deep and making sure you stay right near the front. That's what I did

:33:55. > :34:00.and luckily I managed to hold it over the top. Heerlin is the town

:34:00. > :34:06.where a young Belgian rider with a big future won his first ever

:34:06. > :34:10.professional road race title, his name of course was Eddiemm Merks

:34:10. > :34:18.and the year was 1967. It serves as the starting point for the time

:34:18. > :34:22.trial for the men's Championships. Britain's sole representative is

:34:22. > :34:27.Alex Dowsett looking to get over the disappointment of missing the

:34:27. > :34:32.Games entirely. I had a nasty accident in March. I

:34:32. > :34:37.broke my Elle low. In an operation I got a bug which means I spent a

:34:37. > :34:41.lot of time off the bike, having four operations. I had a good team

:34:41. > :34:46.trial so surprised myself a bit. Hopefully go out there, do the best

:34:46. > :34:49.I can and see what happens. It must have been frustrating to be off the

:34:50. > :34:53.bike for so long, this year particularly knowing there were so

:34:53. > :34:58.many opportunities around and not being able to grab them? For sure,

:34:58. > :35:03.the Olympics was a real kick in the teeth for me. When I first broke my

:35:03. > :35:09.elbow I still thought I could do it and as things got progressively

:35:09. > :35:13.worse I knew it was ruled out. I still watched it and supported them

:35:13. > :35:16.100%, didn't take anything away and I've set my sights for Rio now. If

:35:16. > :35:20.I would have been in London, I would have been there to raid and

:35:20. > :35:24.support, I think in Rio I can be a medal contender. Could you see a

:35:24. > :35:33.time when you wouldn't get on the bike or this year might have had to

:35:33. > :35:39.have been written off? No. My view and my parents' view are quite

:35:39. > :35:44.different. I was just going to think about it being a they. My arm

:35:44. > :35:49.were out here and my parents were worried about me keeping my arm. It

:35:49. > :35:55.was never a question for me as to whether I would get back on the

:35:55. > :35:59.bike. I can see why your parents were worried with the infection.

:35:59. > :36:03.You have other health problems as well? Yes, I suffer from

:36:03. > :36:07.haemophilia, that should have been the main factor but was a minor

:36:07. > :36:17.issue in the elbow break. I was just very unlucky to pick up the

:36:17. > :36:18.

:36:18. > :36:28.bug. Yeah, my mum worries. She thinks all mothers of eem fill yaks

:36:28. > :36:32.

:36:32. > :36:35.should get free face-lifts on the Wiggins and Froome winning medals

:36:36. > :36:40.in the time trial in London. How much inspiration do you take from

:36:40. > :36:45.the fact they've been able to perform so well? It's mad that I'm

:36:45. > :36:51.watching it on telly doing these amazing things and they are my

:36:52. > :36:57.team-mates. Last time I was there. Lance Armstrong and the under 23

:36:57. > :37:02.team, that was me last time that they were riding it in the Olympics,

:37:02. > :37:11.it's a bit crazy, but, you know, hopefully I'll take it in my stride.

:37:11. > :37:21.The riders turn out of Heerlen and wind through vineyards to volcano

:37:21. > :37:24.

:37:25. > :37:28.volcano. -- Valkenberg. There is a head wind awaiting them at the top.

:37:28. > :37:33.Alex Dowsett, the current national time trial champion got a silver in

:37:33. > :37:43.the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi and he's a former under 23 European

:37:43. > :37:43.

:37:43. > :37:48.champion. 23 years of anal, Dowsett. So down the ramp safely. Just

:37:48. > :37:52.starting his test against the clock. These cobbles very, very greasy

:37:52. > :38:00.indeed. He's approaching the first left hander and he needs to be

:38:00. > :38:04.vigilant here. Haven't seen a faller yet. He's setting off.

:38:04. > :38:09.Dowsett. Difficult conditions out there for all these riders but

:38:09. > :38:15.Dowsett, a nice easy, gentle start. He was checking out the course

:38:15. > :38:20.yesterday and let us see how he goes.

:38:20. > :38:26.Kiryienka who has been a world champion on the track in his career.

:38:26. > :38:36.Had one or two good stage victories on his CV as well. Not quite quick

:38:36. > :38:43.enough to deny the lead of Gruzdev but may post a time quicker than

:38:43. > :38:52.Zoidl of Austria. Yes, second place.

:38:52. > :38:56.Here we are. Van Garderen. What a future he has ahead of him. He gets

:38:56. > :39:02.under way, only 24 years of age, this American. Saturated with

:39:02. > :39:07.talent, rode very, very well in the team time trial last Sunday. A

:39:07. > :39:15.member of the BMC squad. They got pipped to the top podium position

:39:15. > :39:19.by a tad over three seconds. Takes that left hander very comfortably.

:39:19. > :39:25.Here is Alex Dowsett approaching the summit. 38 kilometres. Let us

:39:25. > :39:35.have a lack at his time. He's not going to deny Gruzdev the lead but

:39:35. > :39:43.

:39:43. > :39:47.he'll be ahead of one or two other Settles down for the run to the

:39:48. > :39:51.Cowberg. Good riding by Dowsett. He's here as more of a learning

:39:51. > :39:57.ground really and we'll be looking for him over the next two or three

:39:57. > :40:03.years to be really pushing forward. Marco Pinotti from Italy. A veteran

:40:03. > :40:08.at 36, but I'll tell you what, he's a brilliant time trialer. He won

:40:08. > :40:14.the final time trial actually. I've read a few things that he's been

:40:14. > :40:19.saying in the last week or so and all his numbers and figures are

:40:19. > :40:26.right up there better than they were before. An outside chance for

:40:26. > :40:32.a medal here for Pinotti. First glimpse of the defending world

:40:32. > :40:38.champion, Tony Martin. Silver medal winner in London to the great

:40:38. > :40:41.Bradley Wiggins. He's quietly prepared. Phinney rolls away out of

:40:42. > :40:47.the starting house carrying on the family tradition. His father was

:40:47. > :40:53.the second American to win a stage in the Tour de France. Of course,

:40:53. > :40:58.his mother was the first ever road race champion for women in Los

:40:58. > :41:06.Angeles in 1984 when she beat Rebecca Twigg to the line by a

:41:06. > :41:11.whisker. This is the man! Alberto Contador.

:41:11. > :41:17.He was suspended this summer with a drug issue but he's now back, and

:41:17. > :41:22.believe me,s if Contador has turned up to a time trial he will have

:41:22. > :41:25.done his homework and must seriously think he has a chance

:41:25. > :41:31.here. Really aggressive riding. He won't be here just to fill the

:41:31. > :41:35.numbers, that's for sure. Contador already showing he wants to to a

:41:35. > :41:41.ride. The defending world champion now. Tony Martin. He's won the tour

:41:41. > :41:49.of Belgium this year and he was a member of the Pharma Queen

:41:49. > :41:53.Elizabeth Step squad that clinched the medal in the time trial.

:41:53. > :42:01.Had a puncture last time out. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

:42:01. > :42:09.He was third in 2010, third in 2009 and has a long list of impressive

:42:09. > :42:16.time trial victories in different stages. Had success in Paris and

:42:16. > :42:21.the Algarve. What a two minute man to chase, none other than Alberto

:42:21. > :42:25.Contador. We'll see the difference in styles of these riders. Tony

:42:25. > :42:30.Martin a big gear merchant, strong powerful rider. Dowsett comes to

:42:30. > :42:37.the finish now. Here is Dowsett approaching the finish and this is

:42:37. > :42:44.a respectable time for Dowsett. He won't deny Gruzdev the overall lead.

:42:44. > :42:48.He's ridden consistntly throughout the test here -- consistently. Alex

:42:48. > :42:55.Dowsett of Great Britain, the man that took the silver in the

:42:55. > :43:00.Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. Dowsett will stop the clock now and

:43:00. > :43:04.his time is 29 seconds shy of the leader. At the moment he's second.

:43:04. > :43:11.That is a good ride by Dowsett. Solid performance. This is what we

:43:11. > :43:15.wanted to see. That's the first shot we've seen of Tony Martin.

:43:15. > :43:19.Doesn't look like he's going very fast there, probably on a bit of a

:43:19. > :43:29.drag, but the pedal stroke is very, very slow. He really does turn a

:43:29. > :43:32.

:43:32. > :43:40.big, big gear and grind it round. Now, Kiryeinka takes 11 seconds off

:43:40. > :43:44.Gruzdev to become the new leader. This competition is hotting up. 7.6

:43:44. > :43:49.seconds faster than Gruzdev of Kazakhstan.

:43:49. > :43:53.Still quite a way to go, but it's an impressive display many the

:43:53. > :43:58.early stages. You would expect this from a former world individual

:43:58. > :44:03.champion. The crowd recognise the class of the ride. Phinney looks

:44:03. > :44:09.ahead to see how far to go. Only two more riders to go quicker than

:44:09. > :44:19.him, that's Martin and Contador. 15 seconds faster. He wanted a good

:44:19. > :44:21.

:44:21. > :44:25.start, couldn't have asked for much better than that. You can see that

:44:25. > :44:29.Contador is whizzing up the mountains. Tell you what, he's

:44:29. > :44:36.certainly not setting the road alight here and look how slow he is

:44:36. > :44:44.compared with Phinney after 14 kilometres. He's lost 40 seconds.

:44:44. > :44:50.It's possible that he's not recovered from Spain. A mountain

:44:50. > :44:56.climb tour this with the crowd packing in on both sides. The echo

:44:56. > :45:00.of applause is certainly helping Tony Martin here as the final

:45:00. > :45:04.metres to the line are being wiped away. It's going to be close. It's

:45:04. > :45:10.going to be very close and these two have certainly put the markers

:45:10. > :45:18.down in the early stages and it's Martin of Germany vPhinney of the

:45:18. > :45:28.US. Is he going to pip the time of Phinney? No, look at this, there it

:45:28. > :45:30.

:45:30. > :45:33.At the moment, Marco Pinotti is going well, but really at the

:45:33. > :45:43.moment the gold and silver medals are between Taylor Phinney and

:45:43. > :45:43.

:45:43. > :45:48.Tommy Martyn. Look at that! -- Tony Martin.

:45:48. > :45:54.D was certainly eight inches away from that exit there.

:45:54. > :45:58.A we have a crash! Marco Pinotti has gone down. Marco Pinotti, who

:45:58. > :46:05.was threatening the bronze medal on the last time split as hit the dip

:46:05. > :46:09.quite heavily. That is going to be crushing for his morale, there.

:46:09. > :46:15.That is a disaster. Here is a chance to see it, there must be a

:46:15. > :46:20.wet patch there. Yes, he got his weight backwards. He was out of the

:46:20. > :46:27.saddle, he got his weight over the back, slightly too quick, hit the

:46:27. > :46:32.white line at his front wheel went down from under him. Marco Pinotti,

:46:32. > :46:38.with that very heavy fall has it that -- decided to abandon. They

:46:38. > :46:42.will take that bike, put it on the back, and there will be some tears

:46:42. > :46:49.there, he was going well. That will be disastrous, I am wondering about

:46:49. > :46:55.his collarbone. He has had his shoulder, definitely. -- he has

:46:55. > :47:01.injured his shoulder. Tony Martin has Alberto Contador in his sights

:47:01. > :47:08.now. The clock is ticking away, I think

:47:08. > :47:15.that is going to be faster, 13.26 seconds faster than Taylor Phinney

:47:15. > :47:21.at the 27 kilometres split. Gold and silver medals now to Tony

:47:21. > :47:27.Martin and Taylor Phinney of the USA. Tony Martin is going to make

:47:27. > :47:32.the catch here within the next ten metres. Here he comes, the German

:47:32. > :47:38.defending world champion at 27 years of age, Tony Martin, about to

:47:38. > :47:48.catch Alberto Contador. He goes past Alberto Contador, who started

:47:48. > :47:53.ahead of them. Here comes Taylor Phinney, look at his style! Will he

:47:53. > :47:58.is absolutely flying. He is going to catch this week by the end of

:47:58. > :48:08.this. He is going to be one minute quicker. No hint of weakness, at

:48:08. > :48:08.

:48:08. > :48:12.all. One minute six seconds faster than Gruzdev. Martin, looking as

:48:12. > :48:17.though he is going to be 20 seconds or something like that ahead of

:48:17. > :48:24.Taylor Phinney. The crowd closing and a little bit, giving the Ryder

:48:24. > :48:29.a corridor to go through. That look at this, how much will lead does he

:48:29. > :48:35.have? It will not be quite as much as I thought. He is starting to

:48:35. > :48:40.lose that advantage, it is down to 8.6 seconds. I was estimating 20,

:48:40. > :48:44.but that is obviously crumbling away. We're in for a grand

:48:44. > :48:53.Phoenicia. That is going to be all about the Cauberg, who can get up

:48:53. > :48:59.the Cauberg quickest? Here comes Tejay van Garderen. Can he beat the

:48:59. > :49:07.time of Vasil Kiryienka? What is a long way, kilometres from the

:49:07. > :49:13.centre of the Cauberg. The young American looks as though it is

:49:13. > :49:20.within his ability to topple Vasil Kiryienka. Nor, it not! It is very,

:49:20. > :49:26.very close the door. Second spot for Tejay van Garderen, only 4.3

:49:26. > :49:29.seconds slower than Vasil Kiryienka. I have been working it out, Rob, I

:49:29. > :49:33.think that Alex Dowsett is guaranteed a top-ten finish, and

:49:33. > :49:40.that is brilliant in the world elite time-trial championship.

:49:40. > :49:45.this course that certainly was not predicted. This is Taylor Phinney,

:49:46. > :49:51.and that indicates he is 17 seconds back, meaning he lost nine seconds

:49:51. > :49:56.since the last time split over Maarten. He is seated on the try

:49:56. > :50:00.bars. It looks like he has lost a bit of power and emptied himself

:50:00. > :50:04.out on the road. He possibly has a few of who is ahead of him and that

:50:04. > :50:09.possibly pulled him out a bit too much, maybe. This could certainly

:50:09. > :50:14.helped Taylor Phinney, 1.7 kilometres from the top of the

:50:14. > :50:19.claim, and it is a flat, rolling approach to the finish line. Being

:50:19. > :50:24.a former world pursuit champion he could really close down. He will

:50:24. > :50:31.chase him down, but 17 sift -- 17 seconds deficit is a lot to ask

:50:31. > :50:36.over such a short distance. Tony Martin, trying to take every single

:50:36. > :50:42.advantage, maximum aerodynamics. obviously reckons that is more

:50:42. > :50:46.profitable than trying to lever the big gear. There is his running time,

:50:46. > :50:55.he is not going to be to Vasil Kiryienka, so Vasil Kiryienka is

:50:55. > :51:00.still bleeding. There is Taylor Phinney's time, the new tank to

:51:00. > :51:04.beat his 58 minutes 44 seconds. Vasil Kiryienka is in the silver-

:51:05. > :51:09.medal position. A great ride by Taylor Phinney. It will be very

:51:09. > :51:14.tight on the line, and I bet Taylor Phinney cannot look at the big

:51:14. > :51:21.screen on the clock. He is nearing the finishing funnel. There is the

:51:21. > :51:25.time ticking away, 58.44 is the mark to beat. It is getting nearer

:51:25. > :51:31.and needed, and I don't think Taylor Phinney can look at the

:51:31. > :51:36.clock, this is the finishing effort. Tommy Martyn is gulping in the air.

:51:36. > :51:40.The race face is on as he looks ahead to the gantry and the line.

:51:40. > :51:44.The crowd is warming to them, it is going to be inside 10 seconds on

:51:44. > :51:51.the line. You becomes, Martin wins the world title for the second gear

:51:51. > :51:57.in a role. Only 5.3 seconds faster than Taylor Phinney. He knows he

:51:57. > :52:04.has certainly been in a scrap. Here comes Alberto Contador. Will he

:52:04. > :52:12.need that time of the British rider, Alex Dowsett? Law! Role what a

:52:12. > :52:16.scalp that is -- no! What a skulk that is for Alex Dowsett. A great

:52:16. > :52:20.ride for Alex Dowsett, but what a great ride by the defending

:52:20. > :52:25.champion. He was in absolute purgatory for the last couple of

:52:25. > :52:29.kilometres, he really did empty the tank. He got absolutely everything

:52:29. > :52:32.tank. He got absolutely everything out. The race of his life, there is

:52:33. > :52:37.the official result, Tony Martin wins the world title for the second

:52:37. > :52:41.year running. Taylor Phinney, after a fourth and the Olympic Games and

:52:41. > :52:46.fourth in the time-trial, gets the silver medal in the world time-

:52:46. > :52:47.trial championships. Vasil Kiryienka gets the bronze. The a

:52:47. > :52:52.Kiryienka gets the bronze. The a brilliant ride by Alex Dowsett to

:52:52. > :52:54.place eighth. I heard that Taylor Phinney was

:52:54. > :52:59.always between 10 seconds in front always between 10 seconds in front

:52:59. > :53:06.of me or behind me. I always had to keep on fighting. Even on the

:53:06. > :53:09.Cauberg, I heard he was quite close, I had to go full risk at the end,

:53:09. > :53:13.and the last 500 metres were anxious for me. I could not

:53:13. > :53:18.continue sitting on the bike after the finish, I just wanted to lay

:53:18. > :53:23.down and take a minute's rest. That was one of my hardest finals are

:53:23. > :53:26.over. It is another bullet -- unbelievable week for me. If you'd

:53:26. > :53:29.told me this morning that I would be a silver medallist in the time-

:53:29. > :53:34.trial I would have been really happy, but at the moment I am not

:53:35. > :53:38.really feeling the happiness. I probably look a little bit angry on

:53:38. > :53:43.the podium, I definitely shed a couple of tears after the finish.

:53:43. > :53:48.It is just when you have an event that is an hour long you can look

:53:48. > :53:53.back and see five-second pretty easily, one corner here or there,

:53:53. > :54:01.may be an acceleration, maybe a spot where you peaked too much.

:54:01. > :54:06.That is cycling, and I have to just accept it. Two years ago you want

:54:06. > :54:10.the under 23 world title in Australia. -- you took the under 23

:54:10. > :54:20.world title. He and now you have a silver medal, you must believe you

:54:20. > :54:20.

:54:20. > :54:24.can become a world champion? Will - - our world champion? A deux was a

:54:24. > :54:29.big confidence booster for me going into this race, and even the races

:54:29. > :54:33.into the upcoming years. I am excited for the next couple of

:54:33. > :54:38.world-championships and the chances I will have come at but -- but it

:54:38. > :54:43.is difficult to think a year ahead now. I thought of tenth yesterday,

:54:43. > :54:49.but that was ambitious. We went out on the road race, stuck to a our

:54:49. > :54:55.plan and I managed to pace the race really well. I finished quite

:54:55. > :55:02.strongly, with a couple of claims there, and I felt as strong at the

:55:02. > :55:08.end as I did at the start. I learnt a lot. I have shone, Rod and Bobby

:55:08. > :55:12.to thank for that. You look down the time she can see the likes of

:55:12. > :55:17.Alberto Contador below you, you must take confidence from that?

:55:17. > :55:21.have not had an ideal here this year, so this is really encouraging.

:55:21. > :55:25.But I am pleased with this result, there is room for improvement, so

:55:25. > :55:30.next year, if I am selected, I'll be coming here with aspirations of

:55:30. > :55:34.a podium. What an exciting finish. You must have enjoyed that.

:55:34. > :55:39.last part of that race, nip and tuck with Tommy Martyn, that was

:55:39. > :55:43.great. Taylor Phinney distraught at the finish, but it really was tough

:55:43. > :55:49.racing. The head wind, as well, of the finish, it really did play a

:55:49. > :55:53.part, I think. It was etched on their faces. The effort that the

:55:53. > :55:58.riders put it was great to see. the end, it did Sue Dettori Martin,

:55:58. > :56:04.because of the wind and the nature of the course, it was a time

:56:04. > :56:07.trialist course, wasn't it? Yes, we saw it catching Alberto Contador,

:56:07. > :56:14.and at the end we saw Taylor Phinney also get a catch, very

:56:14. > :56:19.nearly, which helped to pull them out. It was swings and roundabouts,

:56:19. > :56:24.fortunately neither of the riders took punk tunes, as they did in the

:56:24. > :56:28.Tour de France, and the conditions took up -- played a part. -- took

:56:28. > :56:33.punctures. The Italian, Marco Pinotti, again going for the bronze

:56:33. > :56:37.medal, so close for him, distraught, but a fantastic race. The weather

:56:37. > :56:41.played its part, but in the end to the best man won. Alex Dowsett had

:56:41. > :56:46.mixed conditions on the road, but for him to finish in eighth place

:56:46. > :56:50.is very impressive, isn't it? coming into a time-trial at world

:56:50. > :56:54.level like this, top 10 would have been more than we could ask for.

:56:54. > :57:02.One discourse, as well, top 15, sought to get eighth place, that

:57:02. > :57:05.really was good at. It is a good sign for him. People be looking to

:57:05. > :57:08.get up there in two or three years' time, so to be doing that already

:57:08. > :57:13.in this class of race is great. let slip a little into the future,

:57:13. > :57:17.the road race tomorrow. Huge excitement to see Mark Cavendish

:57:17. > :57:21.back again. It seems like yesterday we were in Copenhagen celebrating

:57:21. > :57:26.that win. What are your thoughts? Time has gone so quick over the

:57:26. > :57:31.last year. In the British team, we have a strong team on paper, but it

:57:31. > :57:38.is certainly going to be different to last year. They had one that

:57:38. > :57:43.really strong goal and that was to be set three years ago. This time,

:57:43. > :57:46.we have a new rider, Jonathan Tiernan-Locke, who want the tour of

:57:46. > :57:49.Britain last week. Why are not going to put too much pressure on

:57:49. > :57:54.him but I think he is going to be one of the stronger riders of the

:57:54. > :57:58.team, he ably looked after by the likes of Chris Froome, murk

:57:58. > :58:06.Cavendish and Bradley Wiggins, if that is to the goal for. -- Mark

:58:06. > :58:12.Cavendish. Spain, they really do have all the cards, they have a

:58:12. > :58:15.really strong team, possibly too strong. Against them is the fact

:58:15. > :58:20.that they are all team leaders, and that is not good.

:58:20. > :58:22.Albs thank you. Albs thank you.

:58:22. > :58:26.A you can join us tomorrow morning for live coverage of the men's road
