:00:52. > :01:04.A great start for Great Britain. Kyle Edmund winning the first set.

:01:05. > :01:11.Showing finesse, as well, taking a 2-0 set lead.

:01:12. > :01:25.He has done it. He has done it in style. If he can do it, what a

:01:26. > :01:38.position that puts Britain in. That is a very brisk first set. One

:01:39. > :01:44.rubber apiece. The only people singing in the rain in Belgrade have

:01:45. > :01:48.been the Stirling University students, you cannot dampen the

:01:49. > :01:52.spirits stop the weather has played up with so Great Britain in the

:01:53. > :01:59.Davis Cup. We had two matches completed stock Kyle Edmund, super

:02:00. > :02:10.performance against the very experienced young kids are James

:02:11. > :02:20.Ward beaten. Coming up we have the doubles, Jamie Murray and Dom Inglot

:02:21. > :02:28.for Britain. We had just had their partners confirmed. In the other

:02:29. > :02:33.matches, we can see, as far as Italy and Argentina are concerned, 1-1.

:02:34. > :02:42.France just winning their double match against the Czech Republic.

:02:43. > :02:48.The USA 2-0 up against Croatia. The Bryan brothers playing for the

:02:49. > :02:53.United States, to see if they can win that one and go through to the

:02:54. > :02:55.semifinals. If you have not been watching on BBC Two, James Ward

:02:56. > :03:10.defeated by low the server number one. No Novak, but

:03:11. > :03:23.it's risky. So much expected, and he did deliver. Jamie and John are with

:03:24. > :03:30.me. Talk about Ward, did not get into that one. Did not have any

:03:31. > :03:34.answers. He looked like a player out of confidence, not many wins this

:03:35. > :03:40.year. Did not have enough variety. His opponent iterating the points,

:03:41. > :03:46.moving him around. Getting the ball up nice and high. A lot of bad

:03:47. > :03:51.errors on serve. Even he played his best, he would have struggled, and

:03:52. > :03:57.he was way below his best. He would have been disappointed. To me, he

:03:58. > :04:03.looked mentally like gave up a little bit, a little bit too soon.

:04:04. > :04:08.Disappointing performance. Confidence is such a big thing. We

:04:09. > :04:16.have seen before, he can raise his game. Does not have the confidence.

:04:17. > :04:22.You can see at the start of the first set, his whole demeanour was

:04:23. > :04:27.of someone really struggling with the confidence. Not winning many

:04:28. > :04:36.matches this year. He has got out of the winning feeling. But let's talk

:04:37. > :04:44.about Lajovic, established clay-court player, played a lot in

:04:45. > :04:48.Italy growing up. He was using the spin, the backhand down the line

:04:49. > :04:52.getting water into the forehand corner, he had no answer. You how to

:04:53. > :04:58.salute Lajovic, he played well. Whatever happened in the doubles, it

:04:59. > :05:04.could go down to the third and fourth match. It will be a big job

:05:05. > :05:15.for Leon Smith to lift James Ward, he will be very disappointed.

:05:16. > :05:32.It could go down to the fifth match, and James Ward mayhap to win it. Tip

:05:33. > :05:43.as far as Kyle Edmund is concerned, he would have been a interested

:05:44. > :05:50.spectator. Kyle has the weapons that James does not have. He will know it

:05:51. > :05:53.will be a tough match. We thought it was Kyle's time to step up.

:05:54. > :05:57.Everybody looking at Andy Murray to carry the team through. Whatever

:05:58. > :06:05.happens in the doubles, two matches in a row for Kyle, the first one, he

:06:06. > :06:09.had to win. Coming into play Lajovic, how James Ward played to

:06:10. > :06:19.date, another one where you are thinking, come on, we need you to

:06:20. > :06:24.pull us through. Take a Tipsarevic not at his best. But you cannot take

:06:25. > :06:29.anything away from Kyle, hitting so well into the corners. Conditions a

:06:30. > :06:36.lot better today. Some winners, nothing like Kyle Edmund. The tennis

:06:37. > :06:39.balls were so heavy, yet we could see him striking winners from all

:06:40. > :06:47.over the court. The forehand was magnificent. Let me tell you, on

:06:48. > :06:53.that form, he's dangerous on clay. 50-50 match. Maybe Kyle might be a

:06:54. > :06:57.slight favourite. Talking about the weather, hopefully it will get

:06:58. > :07:02.better. They were watering the court, trying to take away Kyle's

:07:03. > :07:07.weapons. If it will get drier, he will be laughing. The biggest

:07:08. > :07:12.difference in the match against Tipsarevic was the pace of the shop.

:07:13. > :07:17.Looked like Tipsarevic was not ready for that. Spending time out of the

:07:18. > :07:22.game. Not the case against Lajovic, very experienced, he has had some

:07:23. > :07:28.big wins, he has been to the fourth round at Roland Garros. Much more

:07:29. > :07:34.even matchup. Kyle will still have the same impact with the forehand,

:07:35. > :07:39.good to see what Lajovic has got, is better wing is the backhand wing.

:07:40. > :07:44.Although Andy Murray is there is the chief cheerleader, Kyle is the

:07:45. > :07:49.British number one, how will he feel with the situation? Only his second

:07:50. > :07:55.Davis Cup tie, and the answer is incredibly well. He has been thrown

:07:56. > :07:59.in the deep end. First match making his debut in the final. Playing

:08:00. > :08:04.extraordinarily well, even though he did not win. Now grown into a

:08:05. > :08:11.quarterfinal, knowing he has to win two singles. Boy, did you deal with

:08:12. > :08:15.it well yesterday. Vague reason to suggest he won't do with it well

:08:16. > :08:21.tomorrow. Coming up to date the all-important doubles match, Great

:08:22. > :08:31.Britain winning five of their last six, and Jamie Murray has become a

:08:32. > :08:39.key member of the team. So. This time Jamie Murray takes the starring

:08:40. > :08:47.role. The doubles is done, Andy Murrays have won. That is it,

:08:48. > :09:00.winning blow delivered by Jamie Murray. Great Britain are in charge

:09:01. > :09:07.of this world group tie. There could have been a wall in the way, would

:09:08. > :09:20.not have stopped Jamie. It is out, the marrieds win, 2-1 Great Britain.

:09:21. > :09:25.-- the Murrays win. They have given us some thrilling moment in the

:09:26. > :09:28.doubles. This time Jamie not playing with his brother, he's playing with

:09:29. > :09:36.Dom Inglot. He has been talking to Russell. You have not played that

:09:37. > :09:43.any matches with Dom Inglot, how will that work? We've played Davis

:09:44. > :09:48.Cup against the States last year. We lost a long five set match to the

:09:49. > :09:56.Bryan brothers. We have played a lot of good tennis. Hopefully we can

:09:57. > :10:02.team up again, with that same level of performance. Always a good

:10:03. > :10:12.partnership with your net deals and his big serve. That staff obviously

:10:13. > :10:17.works well. -- net skills. It is finding the return game together.

:10:18. > :10:25.Putting enough balls in play to keep putting pressure on your opponent to

:10:26. > :10:30.come up with some good stuff. If we can do that, we will be a dangerous

:10:31. > :10:36.team. Nice having your brother making a noise on the sidelines is

:10:37. > :10:40.not it is cool he came out. The last few days must have been pretty

:10:41. > :10:46.hectic for him, all of the post-Wimbledon staff. It is cool to

:10:47. > :10:51.support the scene, definitely. We think it is cool as well. Such a

:10:52. > :10:56.good doubles player. Wonderful to win his first grand slam Men's

:10:57. > :11:04.Doubles, to add to the Mixed Doubles. Getting very emotional at

:11:05. > :11:09.the Australian Open. Jamie was an amazing junior in the singles.

:11:10. > :11:15.Ending up not quite happening. There were a few times when he considers

:11:16. > :11:20.stopping playing. Started to play more and more doubles, develop his

:11:21. > :11:25.game. Even from a very young stage, he has these world-class volleys.

:11:26. > :11:30.Great to see what a career here is made. It is the Mixed Doubles that

:11:31. > :11:35.catapulted him in. In Australia, great to see, and Andy supporting

:11:36. > :11:44.him. Even though he was playing the final. So consistent. We are seeing

:11:45. > :11:50.players playing until they are 38, 39, 40. He's still young man. Had

:11:51. > :11:55.some really good partnerships, hopefully a long career ahead. You

:11:56. > :11:59.know him well, he has been world number one, that meant a lot.

:12:00. > :12:07.Slipping a bit of the Wimbledon. That has been important. Getting one

:12:08. > :12:11.over his younger brother. As Jamie says, remarkable how he has come up

:12:12. > :12:16.in the doubles. Some of his technique in the doubles, he

:12:17. > :12:22.struggles on the return on the forehand. Second serve, it has

:12:23. > :12:28.improved. He has world-class volleys. They want better at

:12:29. > :12:34.reaction volleys. Finding a way to manoeuvre himself around, so he's

:12:35. > :12:41.dangerous. He is world number one, he has won slam. He believes in

:12:42. > :12:45.himself, fabulous Sisi. We saw some moments in the Davis Cup. With

:12:46. > :12:53.insanely matches. Now not with his brother, Andy. The record,

:12:54. > :13:00.incredible. Only one defeat in six, and that was the Bryan brothers.

:13:01. > :13:05.He's a world-class in the doubles. If Andy Murray was to play doubles

:13:06. > :13:09.full-time, he would be in the top five, without question. Perfect

:13:10. > :13:15.partnership, Andy is the best return, maybe apart from Djokovic.

:13:16. > :13:20.The only thing with Dom Inglot and Jamie Murray, the return of serve,

:13:21. > :13:30.maybe they are not as strong as with Andy on the court. It is a dream,

:13:31. > :13:36.nation. And sets up Jamie, he does what he does so well at the net. If

:13:37. > :13:40.you asked any doubles player in the world to play with Andy, they would

:13:41. > :13:44.say a dream, nation. Not anything he's not like that. Interesting to

:13:45. > :13:49.watch them play those matches. Amazing story for the brothers to

:13:50. > :13:53.play with each other. Not that easy emotionally. The first couple of

:13:54. > :13:59.matches against the French and the Aussies, took them time, took and

:14:00. > :14:04.the time to play his way into the match. Once he got comfortable, they

:14:05. > :14:14.were unstoppable. This is playing against the Bryan brothers, in the

:14:15. > :14:17.fifth set, they came so close. They should be thinking, if they can

:14:18. > :14:27.almost beat them, they can be anybody. They did combine well, Dom

:14:28. > :14:34.Inglot, one heck of a serve. Communication is very good, they are

:14:35. > :14:38.good doubles team. They do combine well. Dom Inglot needs to find the

:14:39. > :14:42.right partner. He needs to find someone with the same ranking, to

:14:43. > :14:48.get into the tournaments. He has been playing with Daniel Nestor, he

:14:49. > :14:52.will only play with them if they are seeded in the Masters and the grand

:14:53. > :14:56.slam event will stop if they are outside, yes you find another

:14:57. > :15:02.partner. He is established on the doubles tour of, massive serve. He

:15:03. > :15:08.is less consistent than Andy Murray, well, anybody is. Jamie has this

:15:09. > :15:12.massive wingspan at the net, they will put all the pressure on the

:15:13. > :15:19.Serbians in this match. You have been Davis Cup captain, Leon Smith,

:15:20. > :15:24.this is an important match. We are favourites in this, whoever Serbia

:15:25. > :15:30.put in. We are, but the cliche, never take any match for granted.

:15:31. > :15:33.Leon will not be overconfident. We have a class doubles team, whoever

:15:34. > :15:39.we put in. We have other people in the wings, if Colin Fleming, we have

:15:40. > :15:45.good doubles. Excellent Men's Doubles players. We will win this

:15:46. > :15:49.match, I have no doubt about that. In almost every match with play,

:15:50. > :15:56.particularly with Andy involved, you can put that as a banker doubles

:15:57. > :16:00.wins. When Andy plays, you have two doubles singles wins, and now the

:16:01. > :16:09.doubles with Jamie and Andy, we are very team. Server have one very

:16:10. > :16:16.strong doubles player, Zimonjic, 40 years of age, former world number

:16:17. > :16:22.one. He has pretty much won everything there is to win, so

:16:23. > :16:32.successful. Interesting to see how he deals with this today. He would

:16:33. > :16:37.be disappointed he has not got the more experienced singles players in

:16:38. > :16:41.the team. A big job to lead his team. He knows they are second

:16:42. > :16:45.favourites. Always cautious about favourites before a match.

:16:46. > :16:52.Especially on a clay court. On any surface, if you are going to play on

:16:53. > :16:56.clay, the anyone that can level out. If this was a farcical, indoors, I

:16:57. > :17:02.would be feeling much more comfortable. The players making

:17:03. > :17:10.their way. There is Dom Inglot and Jamie, with Leon. Coming up behind.

:17:11. > :17:18.The players we know, it is Zimonjic and Krajinovic. Krajinovic does not

:17:19. > :17:23.really have any doubles experience. Almost feels like as giving the

:17:24. > :17:33.singles players a rest. Tipsarevic suffering with a virus. It is an

:17:34. > :17:44.unknown quantity. Singles player, burst into the top 200, very early.

:17:45. > :17:49.Coached by Roger Federer's coach. We know he is a good tennis player. How

:17:50. > :17:54.well he moves around the court, positional sense, nowadays the

:17:55. > :17:59.doubles players are so practised in their movements, patterns of play.

:18:00. > :18:03.If you are in the wrong position, does not matter how good you are,

:18:04. > :18:09.you will not get a shot at getting double. He says his favourite

:18:10. > :18:17.surface is clay, he has a big forehand, we will see how big it is.

:18:18. > :18:24.On social media, Zimonjic posted a picture of his son, Leon, with Andy

:18:25. > :18:28.Murray. Lovely. Said he's going to play the match, Serbia and Great

:18:29. > :18:37.Britain. Waiting for their turn to play. You have seen Zimonjic play,

:18:38. > :18:46.tough player. In the doubles. Very good doubles player. He will be the

:18:47. > :18:51.captain, not of the pair. When you are so far ahead in doubles the

:18:52. > :18:58.periods, sometimes you try to much. If I was the British pair, when his

:18:59. > :19:04.partner serves, I would go down Zimonjic's line, you may see him try

:19:05. > :19:08.to cross. To help his partner row. Maybe a good time to go down his

:19:09. > :19:16.line, to keep him honest. Tactics such a big part of doubles. Speaks

:19:17. > :19:20.periods teams, especially early in matches, you will see returners

:19:21. > :19:26.returning exclusively up the line in the first few games. So much

:19:27. > :19:31.movement, the power in the serve. Almost becoming like a badminton

:19:32. > :19:37.formation. You have the net player at the front. Someone like Jamie

:19:38. > :19:42.Murray, the size of his wingspan, that is what the Canadian Davis Cup

:19:43. > :19:47.coach for Great Britain, he has been training them well, not many places

:19:48. > :19:54.where he can stand, and not cover the ball. It is tough when you have

:19:55. > :19:59.someone with that wingspan. Talking to their coach, I asked why is Jamie

:20:00. > :20:19.not playing with John Peers. And he took way, pairing

:20:20. > :20:25.him with Suarez. And they go and win the Austrian Open. I thought the

:20:26. > :20:30.same, I said I cannot see it working, but it certainly did.

:20:31. > :20:36.Really good coach. Andy Murray wanted to changes serve, improve his

:20:37. > :20:45.second serve. He spoke about the technique, to make it better. Louis

:20:46. > :20:50.is a very good skills coach. Very process driven. If you have

:20:51. > :20:52.something specific in mind, going to him, one of the best things you can

:20:53. > :21:09.do. He takes any personalisation, and installs it.

:21:10. > :21:14.The thing that gives you confidence in Louis, I don't know anybody who

:21:15. > :21:17.studies tennis more. Almost every minute of every day looking at

:21:18. > :21:22.footage, to see what other players do. You play any opponent, any of

:21:23. > :21:27.the doubles teensy coaches, he knows exactly what they are going to do,

:21:28. > :21:40.because he has watched hundreds of the matches.

:21:41. > :21:51.You talk about going to Zimonjic's line, will you focus about hitting

:21:52. > :21:56.to the inexperienced player? I think when they go to the net they will

:21:57. > :21:58.concentrate on him for try to pepper him with as many shots at the net.

:21:59. > :22:24.Look for the returns of serve. They do combine well together, Jamie

:22:25. > :22:30.and John? They do. Jamie Murray with the big wingspan. Very difficult to

:22:31. > :22:33.get the ball past them. They feel they will take business on their

:22:34. > :22:38.side of the net, they will get one chance at least to break. They have

:22:39. > :22:47.a good combination. Holding serve, an area with Jamie, the serve could

:22:48. > :22:54.be improved? That is the one area he could definitely look at, and think,

:22:55. > :22:58.can I get it more consistent? Part of the reason why could be a

:22:59. > :23:09.leveller on the clay court. Different from

:23:10. > :23:16.being on a hard court. One thing the opponent may think is a chink in the

:23:17. > :23:22.armour. Positional play around in there is so good. From an opponent's

:23:23. > :23:28.point of view, and I have played against it, there is a feeling you

:23:29. > :23:32.cannot get the ball away from him. Dom Inglot, as far as he's

:23:33. > :23:38.concerned, they are the favourites in this match, apart from the Bryan

:23:39. > :23:45.brothers, when they were at their peak, here very much the favourites,

:23:46. > :23:49.different sort of pressure? It is different, the only two doubles he

:23:50. > :23:53.has played was USA away and home against the Bryan brothers. The long

:23:54. > :23:58.five setter last year. You are right. Playing with somebody who has

:23:59. > :24:06.had a load of success, every Davis Cup match, when Jenni Murray plays,

:24:07. > :24:09.he expects to win. The start of the match for Dom Inglot is important.

:24:10. > :24:15.On his own service game, getting into his rhythm, getting some holds,

:24:16. > :24:20.that will settle him down. I talked about leaders of teams, when Andy

:24:21. > :24:26.and Jamie played together, they are leader type of people. Jamie Murray,

:24:27. > :24:32.especially at the start, he will take the lead. We know who will be

:24:33. > :24:39.the captain on this side of the net, definitely Zimonjic, but Jamie has

:24:40. > :24:46.the experience. Dom will be listening to Jamie? Absolutely. A

:24:47. > :24:54.lot of the doubles is about energy, setting the right tempo, the right

:24:55. > :24:58.energy. You see some of the doubles players, debut not stop between

:24:59. > :25:06.points, they want to keep the energy up. Not so much about talking, it is

:25:07. > :25:14.almost by example. Jamie coming out of the blocks. Dominating the net.

:25:15. > :25:22.That is what will help Dom, that will help Jamie. He is a much better

:25:23. > :25:43.slayer than his rankings. His nickname is Dom

:25:44. > :25:57.The Bomb. The court will take a bit as it is served. You have two

:25:58. > :26:04.survey, get a high percentage, give your partner a chance. If push comes

:26:05. > :26:08.to shove, you know he has the ability to hit such a big serve. On

:26:09. > :26:18.the doubles court you do not have the hit it that way. 120 mph, all

:26:19. > :26:21.about setting up your partner. Don't go for massive one-off aces, big

:26:22. > :26:27.service winners, your partner is the third thing second serve. At least

:26:28. > :26:33.the British pair have played together. They know all the tactics

:26:34. > :26:38.and signals. Great atmosphere. Stirling University students making

:26:39. > :26:43.it like a home tie. Not a sell-out, there is meant to be 6000 people,

:26:44. > :26:49.only 2000. They are the only people you can here. Pretty much every

:26:50. > :26:55.match we have had recently, the whole Great Britain support, since

:26:56. > :27:00.Andy has committed himself to blame, the support has been absolutely

:27:01. > :27:05.phenomenal. He has committed himself to the team, on the sidelines,

:27:06. > :27:11.helping Captain Leon Smith. We are ready for this doubles match, all

:27:12. > :27:14.important doubles match. The tie is 1-1. John has made his way to the

:27:15. > :27:15.commentary box to join Andrew Castle.

:27:16. > :27:20.It will be Castle.

:27:21. > :27:25.It will be exciting. COMMENTATOR: The sun is shining, I

:27:26. > :27:29.wish I shared John Lloyd's confidence that Great Britain will

:27:30. > :27:40.win this match. We are impartial of course in the commentary box. I am

:27:41. > :27:45.pretty confident. They will see a lot of first volleys. Not easy to

:27:46. > :27:53.move on the clay, to win away from home, quite something. Best of five,

:27:54. > :27:58.doubles coming to the fore. I enjoy that, I know you do at home. The

:27:59. > :28:52.Serbians back on the baseline for trying to buy some time.

:28:53. > :29:05.24 years of age, Krajinovic. Was in Florida at Nick Bollettieri's

:29:06. > :29:55.Academy. Just one doubles match this year for

:29:56. > :30:00.Krajinovic. Made the final of a challenger in Rome this year, lost

:30:01. > :30:13.to Kyle Edmund. This file will have some information on infants -- so

:30:14. > :30:21.Kyle. Reward straightaway for a drill they do endlessly. Jamie

:30:22. > :30:27.Murray, how close to the net? The head is almost over the net. He

:30:28. > :30:34.picks it, making these angles, little short angles stop a practice

:30:35. > :30:49.that over and over again this license for the net, reflex it away.

:30:50. > :30:59.Presumably Zimonjic, the 40-year-old, ranked number 31 in the

:31:00. > :31:12.world at 77. He can be a lot better than that.

:31:13. > :31:22.Everything Zimonjic does on a doubles court is definite. Sometimes

:31:23. > :31:32.he exhibits lovely touch, most of the time, a lot of weight and

:31:33. > :32:11.muscle, everything stays hit. A bit like Dom

:32:12. > :32:17.An early trial of his nerve here in front of home fans. You never want

:32:18. > :33:00.to disappoint them. Euros. They did not get the sign

:33:01. > :33:05.right on that one. Jamie Murray uses the lob return more than any other

:33:06. > :33:10.player in the doubles tournament. He uses that one quite a lot. And it is

:33:11. > :33:14.very effective. You have to get it right because they are not lobbing

:33:15. > :33:15.short players over there. It has to be the right height and speed to get

:33:16. > :33:30.over their heads. He is a consistent 115-118mph server

:33:31. > :34:05.with accuracy. That is nice for the away

:34:06. > :34:35.supporters. Break, break. That is a pity. They decided to run

:34:36. > :34:42.round the second serve, and actually he made the move superbly. He almost

:34:43. > :34:54.had too much time on that forehand, Dom Inglot.

:34:55. > :35:00.Jamie Murray is the hot man on the return at the moment. The lob over

:35:01. > :35:09.the head, putting the return down the line. MS from Zimonjic. -- a

:35:10. > :35:41.miss from Zimonjic. And it is a first break to Great

:35:42. > :35:45.Britain. Reverse singles tomorrow, and the two number ones will play

:35:46. > :35:54.tomorrow against Kyle Edmund. Whatever happens here, that Madge

:35:55. > :35:55.will be live. The score, 1-1 at the moment, five matches over three days

:35:56. > :36:18.in the Davis Cup. James Ward and Tipsarevic will play

:36:19. > :36:25.a first match if required. But you can see the pivotal nature of

:36:26. > :36:27.doubles. Still such an important match in the Davis Cup. That is good

:36:28. > :37:10.to see. And that is the problem when you

:37:11. > :37:15.stand that close to the net. The ball comes at in this fast, and you

:37:16. > :37:22.see that you have to have a shorter backswing, because there is just not

:37:23. > :37:27.enough time to take the racket back. You need to let the speed of the

:37:28. > :37:28.return cause the problems. That one over hit by Dom Inglot. He needs a

:37:29. > :37:46.couple of first serves here. You can see an Jamie Murray's serve

:37:47. > :37:48.placement, he is about a foot and a half back, and he takes a big step

:37:49. > :38:20.in. He kept his eye on the ball nicely,

:38:21. > :38:28.Krajinovic, but he had to wait for it. A breezy day in Belgrade. The

:38:29. > :38:30.left-hander with a bit of tech, so he moves well there and here is a

:38:31. > :40:13.chance to break back. The hat came off Jamie Murray after

:40:14. > :40:22.he had the volley. He was looking up to the umpire to retake the point.

:40:23. > :40:26.If you took that to its logical extension, you could take your hat

:40:27. > :40:42.off every time you wanted to replay the point.

:40:43. > :42:26.That is a fantastic start for Great Britain, it really is. Opportunities

:42:27. > :42:34.for the Serbians to break back. They have not taken it and they will be

:42:35. > :42:38.disappointing their crowd now. Yes. Krajinovic did not play a

:42:39. > :42:45.particularly good game on his serve. They have not got into it yet on

:42:46. > :42:50.their side. For a scratch pairing, they are not quite sure. Jamie

:42:51. > :42:53.Murray's lob, players thought the other one was going to go for it and

:42:54. > :42:58.that is what will happen when you have an untried payer. I am assuming

:42:59. > :43:04.have practised this week but who knows. I am sure they did not expect

:43:05. > :43:10.to play this doubles team until the last minute. At the moment, they are

:43:11. > :43:16.not combining as a pair. The British pair have started very well.

:43:17. > :43:33.A big first service hold here for them is important to get them on the

:43:34. > :43:39.board. Serving and staying back. You can see that in doubles. Not that

:43:40. > :43:45.often, but it can be successful. The British pair will be trying to get

:43:46. > :43:47.there serve back and coming into the nerve as -- coming back into the net

:43:48. > :45:57.as quickly as possible. Somebody has been to the air

:45:58. > :46:27.pawnshop. -- horn shot. A couple of hard volley is now that

:46:28. > :46:32.they have missed. On the clay, sometimes because the court is so

:46:33. > :46:36.slow, the tendency is to punch the volley is a little harder. Whereas

:46:37. > :46:43.on a faster court, you perhaps do not have as much chance to do damage

:46:44. > :46:44.on the return. And they are just not getting enough first serves in the

:46:45. > :46:56.moment but that will come. And you don't need a first serve if

:46:57. > :48:01.you can hit a second serve that hard. Right into the body. Ideal.

:48:02. > :48:13.That is some heavy, heavy serving from Dom Inglot to hold. It has been

:48:14. > :48:17.a long time since Great Britain, the doubles team without Andy Murray,

:48:18. > :48:20.has managed to go ahead and win in the Davis Cup. It is a very

:48:21. > :48:32.difficult thing to do, especially away from home on clay. It was Colin

:48:33. > :48:41.Fleming and Johnny Marray, that was the last time, in 2013, they did it

:48:42. > :48:46.without Andy Murray. It will be a big day for Dom Inglot and Jamie

:48:47. > :48:50.Murray if they can sort this out. They are established doubles players

:48:51. > :48:57.now and this is what they do. We have a good bunch of doubles players

:48:58. > :49:00.now. As I say, it is almost reached the point where we feel like we're

:49:01. > :49:08.going to win these double matches. Andy Murray, when he gets to play,

:49:09. > :49:14.we are tough to beat. Jamie Murray at number five in the world, Dom

:49:15. > :49:21.Inglot is 29, and we have Ken and Neil Skupski, playing well together.

:49:22. > :49:25.Jonathan Marray is in the quarterfinals of another competition

:49:26. > :49:35.this weekend. We have a good group out there.

:49:36. > :49:43.That second serve was sitting a little bit. Directing quite a few of

:49:44. > :49:53.these serves to Jamie Murray's backhand. By far his best side. It

:49:54. > :49:55.is his forehand that gives him more trouble. He tends to bump the

:49:56. > :50:54.forehand and coming behind it. Fantastic hands. He is the master of

:50:55. > :51:26.forehand Fantastic hands. He is the master of

:51:27. > :51:33.finding angles, Jamie Murray. He flicked that up well. This one here,

:51:34. > :51:35.straight down the middle. He just finds spaces in doubles. Excellent

:51:36. > :52:14.play. And you always want a second break

:52:15. > :52:20.of serve away from home on clay. Absolutely. Louis Kane in there will

:52:21. > :52:32.be absolutely delighted with this start. Superb. These two have not

:52:33. > :52:51.settled in the slightest. -- Louis Cayer.

:52:52. > :52:59.Unfortunately, an example where with these good doubles teams, when they

:53:00. > :53:04.get to the net, they have an eight foot gap between them, and when one

:53:05. > :53:08.goes out wide, they close the gap. They try to shrink the court as much

:53:09. > :53:24.as possible. They follow the flight of the ball.

:53:25. > :53:32.Sometimes when you look at where Dom Inglot is, you can see a gap, and

:53:33. > :53:40.you think, down there at the tramliners there is a big gap, but

:53:41. > :53:44.if you take one step across, he can stretch his arm and he has covered

:53:45. > :53:52.it down to a foot. You are not going to get over into that lot.

:53:53. > :54:00.And he has even improved since the final at Wimbledon. With Peter Colt,

:54:01. > :54:08.remember the 2004 Wimbledon film? He was the stand-in for Paul Bedene. He

:54:09. > :54:11.did win Wimbledon. Peter Colt, 2004, how could I forget that? -- poll

:54:12. > :55:36.tetany. And that was a very fine set of

:55:37. > :55:41.tennis. The crowd have been taken out of it, not that many of them

:55:42. > :55:46.anyway. The Brits have been making all the noise. Away from home, to

:55:47. > :55:55.put a sense together like that, in an always pivotal doubles match, a

:55:56. > :55:58.superb start. You could not get a set more straightforward than that

:55:59. > :56:04.in Men's Doubles. They look so confident out here, they look like a

:56:05. > :56:08.doubles team, although they have not played much together, but are

:56:09. > :56:16.confident of each other's abilities. Whereas with the Serbian team, there

:56:17. > :56:27.are gaps in the volleying. They played so well against the Bryans,

:56:28. > :56:31.losing 9-7 last year in the fifth. That was the James Ward match where

:56:32. > :56:35.he beat John Isner, which some of you will remember, 9-7 in the fifth.

:56:36. > :56:41.That was the last time they played the Davis Cup together and since

:56:42. > :56:48.then, Jamie, as well as having his OBEs and all the success that he has

:56:49. > :56:51.had, is the Australian Open champion, Wimbledon finalist last

:56:52. > :57:00.year and he has now become number one in the world. Number five now. I

:57:01. > :57:10.just want to thank our Serbian TV hosts for this delightful break. It

:57:11. > :57:15.is nice and dramatic. Getting is ready for the second set. A lot of

:57:16. > :57:20.people taking these pictures will be taking commercial breaks and missing

:57:21. > :57:27.this opportunity to enjoy some of the numbers. Look at that. Huntly

:57:28. > :57:32.domination. Points won at the net, 17 for the Serbians. Only eight

:57:33. > :57:49.break points. The Serbian team had a few but did not come through. But it

:57:50. > :58:22.was such an easy set. Great Britain are one set up in this quarterfinal.

:58:23. > :58:35.The Serbian team collecting to change the end at which they each

:58:36. > :58:40.server. You can change sides between sets and return from the other side,

:58:41. > :58:50.if you fancy it. But you cannot change your partner, sadly.

:58:51. > :58:57.He is making a lot of errors about the net. He seems uncomfortable, and

:58:58. > :59:37.they are concentrating their attack on him.

:59:38. > :59:57.Something to work with for the home team. Earlier on today, Serbia's

:59:58. > :00:02.number one, Dusan Lajovic, he defeated James Ward, Britain's

:00:03. > :00:07.number two, to take it to one match all. That was supposed to be two

:00:08. > :00:12.singles matches on day one but it was curtailed slightly after just

:00:13. > :00:17.the one match on day one. Playing catch up today. And we will finish

:00:18. > :00:44.tomorrow with two singles. Zimonjic misses another return. He

:00:45. > :00:51.was never the most consistent or flexible. But he always goes for the

:00:52. > :00:55.return. You never see him chip the ball. At the moment, he has not got

:00:56. > :01:11.the timing right. Not giving his partner much to feed off.

:01:12. > :01:24.and not sure whether that was a bad bounce. Never seen a kick serve from

:01:25. > :01:26.Jamie Marie Ballard. -- Jamie Murray that high. Just not getting enough

:01:27. > :03:35.balls in the Court at the moment. That tactic is risky when you have

:03:36. > :03:39.serve and volley players like this British team. The percentages don't

:03:40. > :04:57.do good for the Serbian team if they keep doing that.

:04:58. > :05:06.Keeping their noses in front. Zimonjic has won more Davis Cup

:05:07. > :05:14.matches than anyone else for Serbia, 41 total victory. Played in 51

:05:15. > :05:23.matches overall. In doubles, 28 victories, 17 losses. He is 14 years

:05:24. > :05:31.of age. -- 40 years of age. Great doubles record. To carry somebody,

:05:32. > :05:38.the 40, and beyond clay, not his favourite, a big demand. It is, not

:05:39. > :05:44.flexible. Not a Turner of the ball. Big server, he needs someone with

:05:45. > :05:50.him, so he has that combination. He has not got that. His partner mostly

:05:51. > :05:58.ground strokes, has not played doubles at all. Tough match for him.

:05:59. > :06:11.He is very streaky, Zimonjic. Great hero in doubles, was exactly like

:06:12. > :06:20.that. He can be streaky, nailing the return if he gets streaky, dated put

:06:21. > :06:40.something together. -- they could put something together.

:06:41. > :06:46.That has to go over the net and then. Your partner has made a great

:06:47. > :06:49.return, you have to find the Court, low part of the net, down the

:06:50. > :07:02.middle. Great pick-up from Dom Inglot. You cannot miss that.

:07:03. > :07:10.There is the first served. Has gone missing, the second serve has been

:07:11. > :07:33.so good, makes life a lot easier. Darmian Clark playing with Daniel

:07:34. > :07:38.Nestor or at the moment. The man Zimonjic has had his best success

:07:39. > :07:48.with, including winning Wimbledon in 2008 and 2009.

:07:49. > :08:00.Break point. A couple of great reflex volley

:08:01. > :08:32.Dom Inglot playing with Daniel Nestor, they started at Queen's,

:08:33. > :08:38.winning Nottingham. Normally plays with Robert instead. Played with

:08:39. > :08:54.Andy Murray in Monte Carlo. Played with Bruce Martin.

:08:55. > :09:06.Great hands. Going right at Dom Inglot. Refuse to budge. I would

:09:07. > :09:12.have run for the hills. Then again, Hans Rice in front. -- the hands,

:09:13. > :10:01.right in front. They will be disappointed, got there

:10:02. > :11:20.in plenty of time. Needed a field that one lover, bumping it up high.

:11:21. > :11:26.When did the singles players stop playing doubles, John? Bjorn Borg

:11:27. > :11:33.the first one he started doing it regularly. If filtered down from

:11:34. > :11:40.there, became the thing to do. Some of the tough guys, giving them the

:11:41. > :11:45.advantage of resting, only playing. In general, once he started, all of

:11:46. > :11:53.the top players decided it was too much. Started giving up one by one,

:11:54. > :11:58.a great pity is the ATV have made more moves to try to get them

:11:59. > :12:04.playing a bit more. They have tried everything. Now on the regular tour,

:12:05. > :12:11.apart from the Grand Slams, they only play two sets, and a

:12:12. > :12:16.tie-breaker in the first. The matches do not last more than one

:12:17. > :12:21.hour 20 minutes stop they only play them when they want to get practice,

:12:22. > :12:27.when they had been out for a while. A great pity. The audience, the vast

:12:28. > :12:29.majority only played doubles. Yet they do not see the top stars play

:12:30. > :13:40.much these days. Short, no backspin, just feeding off

:13:41. > :14:20.the pace. Excellent volley. Anything above the height of the

:14:21. > :15:23.net. A bit too quick. Just flows in. Take it. -- close.

:15:24. > :15:32.A pivotal set for the Serbians. You don't feel they can go two sets down

:15:33. > :15:39.to the British pair. The next 15 minutes or so very important. Two

:15:40. > :15:43.singles tomorrow. Kyle Edmund wasn't spectacular form beating Tipsarevic

:15:44. > :16:00.yesterday. -- was in. A couple of you asking whether Andy

:16:01. > :16:06.Murray, who is at the tie, supporting his team-mates and a

:16:07. > :16:07.fantastic effort, can he play? The answer is no, not nominated for the

:16:08. > :17:44.tie. The other matches in the

:17:45. > :17:48.quarterfinal, Italy against Argentina, Great Britain claimed the

:17:49. > :17:54.winner a flat, at home in September, whichever team comes through, Italy

:17:55. > :18:04.or Argentina. France versus the Czech Republic. Croatia against the

:18:05. > :18:11.United States. Great comeback by Jack Sark against Marin Cilic. Big

:18:12. > :18:22.decision by Jim Corriere to leave out Sam Querrey after he got to the

:18:23. > :18:30.quarterfinals at Wimbledon. -- Courier. Absolutely the right

:18:31. > :18:35.decision. France will be difficult to beat, their doubles team is so

:18:36. > :18:44.good. Wonderful to watch together, number one and two in the world at

:18:45. > :18:48.the moment. Fabulous effort last year when Great Britain defeated

:18:49. > :18:57.France in the quarterfinal, right after Wimbledon at club. Murray and

:18:58. > :19:00.Murray beating Nicolas Mas who in Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at Queen's Club.

:19:01. > :19:57.-- Nicolas Mahut. Gorgeous volley. Jamie Murray. Just

:19:58. > :20:15.getting the depth, inside the baseline.

:20:16. > :21:49.Good, nation from the British pair. -- good combination.

:21:50. > :22:21.Horrible game so far from Zimonjic. No real control of the ball so far.

:22:22. > :22:33.What overturned. -- what a return. Unorthodox return from Jamie Murray,

:22:34. > :22:39.putting people off. Charging in behind it. If he gets it early

:22:40. > :22:45.enough, imposing figure coming to the net right in front of it. Chance

:22:46. > :23:29.there. That was well done. Kept his eye on

:23:30. > :23:37.the ball, did not react, Zimonjic. Letting it come on. Nicely done on

:23:38. > :23:47.the backhand side. Just wasn't low enough, to put the back and away.

:23:48. > :24:49.Just getting it back. Good hands, from Zimonjic.

:24:50. > :24:57.What a point. Should never have lost that, the British pair. So many

:24:58. > :25:45.Five straight points. chances.

:25:46. > :25:45.Five straight points. Huge game. 0-40, couple of chances

:25:46. > :26:07.on Huge game. 0-40, couple of chances

:26:08. > :26:20.disappointed. Opportunities did not combine at the right time. Zimonjic,

:26:21. > :26:30.53 tournament victories in a career stretching back over 20 years. You

:26:31. > :26:50.have Mike Bryant at 114. His brother. Daniel Nestor, 89. Zimonjic

:26:51. > :26:54.shows real class. His captain was letting him do all the work. That

:26:55. > :27:52.was his wife and the twins, they are seven.

:27:53. > :27:58.The tennis balls, Jimmy Merry forgot to show them, Zimonjic said replay

:27:59. > :29:22.the point. It is any customer that you have to show them. -- a custom.

:29:23. > :29:27.After the disappointment of not breaking in the previous game, the

:29:28. > :29:30.British team will be delighted with that hold. Very efficient. Give

:29:31. > :30:29.concentration. -- good. Ready to pounce. Jamie Murray, as

:30:30. > :30:33.soon as the ball is deep, where do you go? Looking, looking, waiting to

:30:34. > :30:57.make his move, punching it away. Zimonjic possibly needs to cross,

:30:58. > :31:57.take some pressure off his partner. Oh boy, what an error that is.

:31:58. > :32:03.Thousands and thousands of those type of volleys and you will not

:32:04. > :32:05.miss them many times right on top of the net, that is just not tracking

:32:06. > :32:09.the ball early enough of the return and losing his focus. A big point

:32:10. > :32:32.now. That was a point from Krajinovic. He

:32:33. > :32:45.caught it perhaps a little bit late. A little bit but it was a well

:32:46. > :32:49.struck point. He saw him going. He has settled them. He did not start

:32:50. > :33:15.great, and he has not played any doubles this year, Krajinovic.

:33:16. > :33:21.Two games in a row, Serbia have come through on their serve, having saved

:33:22. > :33:23.break points. And that backhand down the line was something quite

:33:24. > :33:42.spectacular. Fantastic victory for this nation in

:33:43. > :33:47.2010. Serbia and Montenegro, we saw them at the Braehead Arena in

:33:48. > :33:52.Glasgow in 2006, the first really good look at Novak Djokavic. He tied

:33:53. > :34:01.that up with a victory over Greg Rusedski. But no try keep, and no

:34:02. > :34:13.Djokovic. -- no Troicki. A tough team to put away.

:34:14. > :34:18.The ground staff just tidying up the lines. A couple of flashy returns

:34:19. > :35:19.here. Nicely done. A good volley there,

:35:20. > :35:25.but I like the way he took the initiative and stepped forward. It

:35:26. > :35:30.would have been more difficult for Jamie. He had commitments to go

:35:31. > :36:00.across, and would feel on the drop volley. A good start to the game.

:36:01. > :36:07.Having a bit at the pop -- having a bit of a pop at the crowd from the

:36:08. > :37:05.University of Stirling there. So casual on those, he makes it look

:37:06. > :37:14.so easy. The last time we saw a merry playing in a tie-break, he

:37:15. > :37:16.played them very well. -- a Murray. His younger brother, Andy, in the

:37:17. > :37:39.Wimbledon finals. A pity. It was a good return.

:37:40. > :37:45.Slightly too big a backswing. The perfect cross. He took the racket

:37:46. > :37:46.back a little slow, getting it up high. And then the border behind

:37:47. > :38:30.him. All these chances the British pair

:38:31. > :38:33.have had. 4-4, 0-40 against the Zimonjic server. Another

:38:34. > :38:35.opportunity. He goes down the line on the backhand. And this one,

:38:36. > :39:47.suddenly Serbia are up. Jamie Murray invested that point

:39:48. > :41:08.there with amazing energy and did not want it to get to his head.

:41:09. > :41:35.This is the best atmosphere we have had since yesterday.

:41:36. > :41:44.Dom Inglot went the wrong way there on that half-court shot. Good

:41:45. > :41:49.closing of the net by Zimonjic. Dom Inglot fell for the fake there. He

:41:50. > :41:51.punched that volley away and played a good tie-breaker. Holding his

:41:52. > :42:23.nerve well. Amazing the way it turns. This could

:42:24. > :42:28.be a big turning point in the whole time, let alone this match. Time

:42:29. > :42:36.will tell, but Zimonjic is serving. To make

:42:37. > :43:01.And that drops in. It is one set all. A massive body blow to the

:43:02. > :43:07.British team. Dom Inglot and Jamie Murray are going to need some

:43:08. > :43:12.encouraging now. One set all in this best set doubles match. Well played

:43:13. > :43:16.by Zimonjic, holding his serve, and Krajinovic for finding the line on

:43:17. > :43:24.that backhand. Small margins in this game. SUE BARKER: And it shows that

:43:25. > :43:29.these vital points, and make such a difference. As Andy was saying, they

:43:30. > :43:35.had their chances at 4-4 and 5-5 and now they are in a real battle. After

:43:36. > :43:39.all the opportunities they had, that is the nature of tennis with this

:43:40. > :43:42.scoring system, you create all this pressure and of course he wants to

:43:43. > :43:45.give yourself opportunities but the downside is that if you do not take

:43:46. > :43:49.them, the other team get a boost. And that is exactly what has

:43:50. > :43:54.happened. And you get the feeling that the Serbians are really lifted.

:43:55. > :43:58.They are firing. They are dipping a little bit and Dom Inglot is making

:43:59. > :44:02.a few errors. He is becoming a little erratic. At the start we

:44:03. > :44:07.mentioned that might be the case but it just looks like a few, the last

:44:08. > :44:12.view he has missed, maybe his head has gone down. I am not sure whether

:44:13. > :44:18.it is and the orderly on at the side of the court that can maybe say

:44:19. > :44:22.something to help calm him down but Krajinovic, he has come into the

:44:23. > :44:28.match well after a shaky start. I think there is room for the British

:44:29. > :44:35.guys to target him more. They have gone too Zimonjic a bit too much.

:44:36. > :44:38.Looking at in there, the younger guy is volleying well but they have to

:44:39. > :44:43.find a way to take these chances and dominate once again. They were the

:44:44. > :44:49.only team in it in the first set. They almost have to start again but

:44:50. > :44:54.think about how they started. Even in the first two sets, they have

:44:55. > :45:01.been the best team. If they had broken at for all, you would think

:45:02. > :45:04.it was plain sailing. -- 4-4. The stakes are high. If you do not take

:45:05. > :45:09.chances, it has a double effect because it gives your opponent left.

:45:10. > :45:13.Also, it starts to bring doubts in your own mind which is what you

:45:14. > :45:17.want. And the music is coming in for the replays. The music they have

:45:18. > :45:24.been playing when Serbia was up 5-4 and 6-5, it was stirring stuff. I

:45:25. > :45:28.wonder if they should give the players headphones to really inspire

:45:29. > :45:34.them. And the players are back on court as we see the second set

:45:35. > :45:38.statistics there. Serbia, so much better, winning more winners, they

:45:39. > :45:40.are right back in this match and it is a crucial doubles match. Who will

:45:41. > :46:14.take advantage? Dom Inglot, who held so well, so

:46:15. > :46:16.comfortably to make it 6-6, serving quickly. And they are dealing with

:46:17. > :46:36.disappointment at the moment. It is all about momentum and Serbia

:46:37. > :47:16.have got it all right now. He made that look pretty easy, Dom

:47:17. > :47:21.Inglot. But considering the score in the game, 0-30, he did well there. A

:47:22. > :47:32.deep lob and he smashed it away so confidently.

:47:33. > :48:35.Well held indeed. From 0-30 down, with things not going well, they had

:48:36. > :48:46.to be strong there with the bones overhead. Some crisp play and some

:48:47. > :48:55.good serving. -- the bones overhead. They won, spoiled by the rain. --

:48:56. > :48:59.day one. Kyle Edmund, we saw him making his debut in the final last

:49:00. > :49:03.year but he was fantastic against Tipsarevic, who is not well. It

:49:04. > :49:14.remains to be seen whether he will play the fifth match tomorrow if

:49:15. > :49:16.required, against James Ward. There could be a lot of tennis between now

:49:17. > :50:41.and then. A good pick up from Dom Inglot. You

:50:42. > :51:03.can see the way he held that ball close to the net.

:51:04. > :52:25.And there is a glimpse of the power. A big forehand.

:52:26. > :53:00.There was a good call from Dom Inglot.

:53:01. > :53:20.Good second serve as well, very clean. It hit the centre of the

:53:21. > :54:28.racket, but it doesn't matter, it is effective.

:54:29. > :54:33.Just pulling down a little bit on that first serve at the moment. The

:54:34. > :54:44.right shoulder comes down a little bit too soon.

:54:45. > :54:53.Technically that volley is not something you can teach, but it is

:54:54. > :55:21.one of those top-spin volleys. If you time it right...

:55:22. > :55:34.That was a backhand down the line, and they are break point down. At

:55:35. > :55:37.5-5 in the second set, that will have contributed to it. But now they

:55:38. > :55:56.are beginning to enjoy this. Not easy now with shadows on the

:55:57. > :58:10.court as well. A good hole they are. The momentum

:58:11. > :58:18.had slipped a bit. This would have been a tough game to have lost. Well

:58:19. > :58:26.held by Marianne Dom Inglot. Great Britain hoping to win a sixth

:58:27. > :58:34.successive Davis Cup tie. -- well held by Jamie Murray and Dom Inglot.

:58:35. > :58:41.Buying the efforts of Andy Murray, not just Andy Murray but the whole

:58:42. > :58:45.team, and the spirit of teamwork. They have turned themselves into

:58:46. > :58:49.such a strong unit here. And if they can just get through this one, Andy

:58:50. > :58:55.Murray will no doubt return for the next. Understandably electing to

:58:56. > :59:06.take some time off with the US Open and Rio Olympics per head. -- up

:59:07. > :59:11.ahead. This centre, built in 1954 in the centre of Belgrade. Build-out of

:59:12. > :59:47.stone. A big renovation in 2011. Nice change up there, in that

:59:48. > :01:03.server. Miss timed by Dom Inglot. Krajinovic has grown in strength.

:01:04. > :01:27.138 in singles and pretty much a nonexistent doubles rank.

:01:28. > :01:31.He left home to go and live in Florida at the age of 13 to

:01:32. > :02:27.concentrate on his tennis. In usual second serve. A bit like

:02:28. > :02:30.the old days. Playing away from home used to be fraught with

:02:31. > :02:34.difficulties, throwing coins onto the floor. David Lloyd used to pick

:02:35. > :02:56.it up. I'm not suggesting there was foul

:02:57. > :03:05.play. In telling you, they used to be! Nadal. -- there used to be. No

:03:06. > :03:56.doubt. Leon Smith, counselling his men over

:03:57. > :04:03.there. Busy schedule this year, with the Rio Olympics. Kyle Edmund as the

:04:04. > :04:08.call-out, on the final list to join Andy Murray and Jamie Murray. They

:04:09. > :04:15.will be the doubles unit. Kyle will play the singles alongside Andy. The

:04:16. > :04:19.6th of August, the tennis starts. Always tennis players embracing the

:04:20. > :04:25.chance to play at the Olympic Games. Los Angeles, 1984, just an

:04:26. > :04:33.exhibition event. 88, full metal support. Continuing from Barcelona,

:04:34. > :04:37.1992. Given the efficiency, tennis players have. Not so the golfers, it

:04:38. > :04:46.would seem. I think that will change. Strange comments coming out

:04:47. > :04:54.from the Gulf. We will see if this is a one-time thing, or it will

:04:55. > :05:01.improve next time around. They have two shots at it. There are the

:05:02. > :05:09.changeover, Zimonjic doing all the tactical talk to his partner. The

:05:10. > :05:15.British team, you just want them to combine a little bit better. Jamie

:05:16. > :05:30.Murray turning off, Dom Inglot going off. Now, they have one chance. Able

:05:31. > :05:47.to combine as a unit, on the terms. -- turn.

:05:48. > :05:58.That is what they are looking for, if you solid points in a row. The

:05:59. > :06:23.few solid points in a row. Doing a lot of talking towards the

:06:24. > :07:19.British bench, Jamie Murray, at the moment.

:07:20. > :08:42.Suddenly break point, after the forehand error deep.

:08:43. > :08:53.That is a big opportunity from Jamie Murray. I think he was struggling to

:08:54. > :08:55.see the ball a little bit. He had his dark glasses on, until about 20

:08:56. > :09:08.minutes ago. Coming from the light, into the

:09:09. > :09:15.shade, just as the players are taking their rackets back to hit.

:09:16. > :09:33.You get a bit worried, the British team not taking their chances.

:09:34. > :09:42.And now serving through shadow. If the ball comes back, not much time

:09:43. > :09:52.for the eyesight to adjust before playing the volley or half volley.

:09:53. > :10:12.Hard enough to see it on the TV screen, let alone Davis Cup.

:10:13. > :10:24.A couple of volleys from Dom Inglot. They are both on the baseline, that

:10:25. > :10:25.is where you need to be getting, more chance of winning the rally

:10:26. > :11:56.than going the other way. That is a very fine hulled,

:11:57. > :12:01.considering he was having difficulty seeing the ball coming out of the

:12:02. > :12:07.sun, into the shadows. Jamie Murray chatting to the umpire, not sure

:12:08. > :12:18.what that is about. Somebody at the back? Reflection? Could be anything.

:12:19. > :12:25.Definitely travel by something, Jamie Murray, in the last few games.

:12:26. > :12:40.If the umpire has somebody in mind, you could take the nine drummers and

:12:41. > :12:47.the brass section, then tell them to quieten. Not playing at their best

:12:48. > :12:51.of the British team, you feel if they can get somewhere back to their

:12:52. > :12:56.best, they could win this quite comfortably. Not combining as a

:12:57. > :13:04.unit. One has played pretty well, the other has dropped off. When one

:13:05. > :13:12.hits David Bell, then the other dozen follow-up. The teamwork is not

:13:13. > :13:17.quite been there. But they are still with serve. Don't want to get

:13:18. > :13:27.involved in the tie-breaker, if they can avoid it.

:13:28. > :13:40.That is a nice combination. Wonderful timing from Dom Inglot.

:13:41. > :13:43.Taking this into space, leaving his racket behind it. Not hitting it too

:13:44. > :14:07.hard. That was a bit close there. Good

:14:08. > :14:15.start to this game, though. Fantastic volley from Jamie Murray.

:14:16. > :14:27.Got some string on it. Ended up a very decent length.

:14:28. > :15:02.What a cross. Good combination. Perfect time to cross. Find it

:15:03. > :15:44.exactly right. Cannot believe you went for that, at

:15:45. > :15:50.that point. Virtual set point. Remember the backhand, stabbing away

:15:51. > :15:59.at 4-4 in the second set. He does believe he's going to make the

:16:00. > :16:03.shots. That is beautifully done again. Could have messed that

:16:04. > :16:11.backhand up. Keeping it really tight. Short swing, very strong

:16:12. > :16:25.anyway. Two break point saved. He loves it.

:16:26. > :16:46.Fantastic. So quick, you could hardly see it. What happened? The

:16:47. > :16:48.reflex is. Came at him so fast. Third break point against the

:16:49. > :18:57.Zimonjic serve. when you are serving, you want to

:18:58. > :19:19.look at it. Certainly the surface breaking up.

:19:20. > :19:27.Jamie Murray does have the ability, the hand eye coordination to get the

:19:28. > :19:30.full download. That is the key in doubles. Another opportunity, to his

:19:31. > :19:53.partner, Dom Inglot. It is a double fault. That is the

:19:54. > :20:01.way he lost his serve in the first set. Having played so valiantly to

:20:02. > :20:03.keep his team in the game, what a horrible way for it to go. Not so

:20:04. > :20:26.happy now. Great Britain serving Faure 2-1

:20:27. > :20:31.serve -- set lead. Dom Inglot, this Londoner of Polish descent, strong,

:20:32. > :21:18.he will not leave anything in the locker here.

:21:19. > :21:22.A spectacular game, up to this point. Backing up the break with

:21:23. > :22:10.some heat. Three set points. What way to it. Massive kick serve.

:22:11. > :22:12.Second serve ace. 2-1. What is -- a response to that second set

:22:13. > :22:20.tie-break. STUDIO: Certainly that game was key,

:22:21. > :22:24.breaking Zimonjic's serve. What a match we have had, now completely

:22:25. > :22:31.even. Digging themselves out of a hole at 15-40. Unbelievable double

:22:32. > :22:38.fault, from their most experienced guy on the court. You would not have

:22:39. > :22:44.expected that. The serve to win. Jamie had to have a big hole that

:22:45. > :22:52.1-1. A key game. Then Dom Inglot held from 0-30. Big cold at the

:22:53. > :22:58.start, for the momentum of the match. It has totally changed. Jamie

:22:59. > :23:06.Murray looked a bit unsettled. Not sure what was going on. Eventually

:23:07. > :23:09.they did break, 3-4. He does not have the ability to have the top

:23:10. > :23:16.screenshot. They block return gets it down to the feet of the server.

:23:17. > :23:21.What we have been the thing is the body language. The Serbians getting

:23:22. > :23:26.fired up. The British pair getting down on themselves. They have to

:23:27. > :23:32.impose themselves in the next set. It is the consistency, and Dominic

:23:33. > :23:38.and Jamie getting frustrated, flashes of good stuff, not stringing

:23:39. > :23:44.it altogether. That set May settle them down. Surprising that Zimonjic

:23:45. > :23:51.double-faulted. Felt like it would be the same situation, 0-40, in the

:23:52. > :23:58.second set, they did not get it, the Serbians' have their tails up. You

:23:59. > :24:02.did worry about it is a bit. We saw Andy Murray, but he gets terribly

:24:03. > :24:07.nervous watching Jamie. Probably watching from the safety of the

:24:08. > :24:11.locker room. And he's very conscious, if he is in shock, Jamie

:24:12. > :24:18.can see in getting agitated, does not particularly help. When Jamie is

:24:19. > :24:21.watching Andy, he is so calm. They are in front again, one set of

:24:22. > :24:32.weights in this crucial doubles match. Back to John and Andy.

:24:33. > :24:38.COMMENTATOR: The noise continues, so that this excellent doubles match.

:24:39. > :24:47.Britain 2-1 up. Some of the numbers. Strange sort of set. It was in the

:24:48. > :24:51.British team's hands. Not playing the points well enough until they

:24:52. > :24:53.got the combination going, in that one game, they both played well at

:24:54. > :25:02.the same time. That was the key. They have swept the court. Did not

:25:03. > :25:28.exactly time that right. Ironic, it is the Zimonjic serve

:25:29. > :25:36.that the British team have had the most test. The reason, in my

:25:37. > :25:42.opinion, Krajinovic never crosses. When Jamie Murray hits that plans

:25:43. > :25:50.return, under no pressure. He knows he has the whole area to aim at.

:25:51. > :25:54.Krajinovic is not poaching. They have broken him a couple of times.

:25:55. > :26:02.Not getting help from the man in your picture went after the net.

:26:03. > :26:22.That is the problem for the 17. -- for the Serbian team.

:26:23. > :26:29.Krajinovic trained with Nick Bollettieri in America, from the age

:26:30. > :26:35.of 13. Dom Inglot went to the University of Virginia, which is a

:26:36. > :26:40.college powerhouse in tennis. He has not come on as much as people

:26:41. > :26:48.thought, Krajinovic. Apparently got some huge contracts. I am not saying

:26:49. > :26:54.that is the reason why he went off. The money coming in. Has not made

:26:55. > :27:02.the breakthrough yet that a lot of people expected. Obviously very

:27:03. > :27:16.young, still. 24. That is young, into Dave Max Evans. -- into Dave's

:27:17. > :27:26.terms. Here we go, right away, break point. Can judge out of nothing.

:27:27. > :27:28.Krajinovic ambling in. The first step was no way, way behind the

:27:29. > :27:49.service line. Why not? Dom Inglot showing some

:27:50. > :27:57.grand stroke action. Down the line, break of serve out of nothing. That

:27:58. > :28:02.happened quickly. That second serve was so slow, it gave him the time to

:28:03. > :29:46.smack the second, getting the Textbook doubles. Dom Inglot, never

:29:47. > :29:50.won doubles in Davis Cup. Losing on his only two previous appearances,

:29:51. > :31:10.despite playing well. Here is the opportunity.

:31:11. > :31:18.He was lucky there. No communication between the two players. Yours,

:31:19. > :31:57.yours, I better take it! And beautiful. -- beautiful return.

:31:58. > :32:00.But he is standing there like a statue. There is no point if you are

:32:01. > :32:08.not going to move occasionally. They know they have three quarters of the

:32:09. > :32:09.court on these returns of serve. He has to make a move every now and

:32:10. > :32:19.then. Otherwise you have to keep hitting

:32:20. > :32:25.shots like that. Which are pretty good, but...

:32:26. > :32:54.But how is this? Look at this half-volley. Sweet as you like.

:32:55. > :33:03.The half-volley there are, he let that one go. He did not expect his

:33:04. > :33:58.partner to be getting this one. He had to cover almost the whole court.

:33:59. > :34:05.A fantastic half-volley again. The trouble is, he is having to play a

:34:06. > :34:16.lot more of these then he would like to. Excellent hands. Still a break

:34:17. > :34:20.to the British pairing. We just mention that Dom Inglot has played

:34:21. > :34:25.two and lost two. It makes it sound like he has not done a good job but

:34:26. > :34:32.you realise who he has played both times. The Bryans, both times. In

:34:33. > :34:37.San Diego in 2014, at the baseball stadium he played with Colin

:34:38. > :34:41.Fleming, and they lost in four sets. Then he played with Jamie Murray and

:34:42. > :34:50.they lost in Glasgow, 9-7 in the fifth. The Bryans have a combined

:34:51. > :35:02.226 doubles titles between them. It is ridiculous. So always set fair,

:35:03. > :35:10.and Leon Smith will be saying, more of the same. Put pressure on, and

:35:11. > :35:19.let's keep going. Doing great, lads. That is exactly right. When you are

:35:20. > :35:22.up, don't make things complicated. He is a very experienced captain and

:35:23. > :35:56.he will not be saying too much. Keep it ticking over.

:35:57. > :36:03.Jamie Murray, world number five now, number one back in April. To top the

:36:04. > :36:07.rankings in your chosen profession, to be number one in the world, that

:36:08. > :36:10.is pretty good. And he got there ahead of his brother. I think that

:36:11. > :36:32.will happen in singles one day. They should really have a

:36:33. > :36:42.walkie-talkie with your pieces, shouldn't they? --

:36:43. > :37:14.No doubt of this is the weaker of the two service. If you look at it

:37:15. > :37:18.in isolation. But Jamie Murray defends with some of the best hands

:37:19. > :37:26.you will see. -- weaker of the two serves.

:37:27. > :37:36.But the returners always have this serve in the site. Focusing on Dom

:37:37. > :37:37.Inglot to keep changing the view in the forecourt. Is he going to move

:37:38. > :38:01.left or right, is he going to stay? At this stage in the match, they

:38:02. > :39:04.cannot afford to make mistakes like that. A good chance to go up 15-30.

:39:05. > :39:13.And that changing view from the British pair the whole time. Making

:39:14. > :39:18.it so difficult to return, particularly for Zimonjic there. Dom

:39:19. > :39:25.Inglot moving left, right, staying, up, back, the left-handed serve

:39:26. > :39:26.kicking in sometimes. That was one game closer to the finishing line

:39:27. > :41:11.for them. The number one nation at the moment

:41:12. > :41:16.in the Davis Cup rankings is Great Britain, the current holders. Back

:41:17. > :41:22.in 2010, their opponents today, Serbia won in this very city. Coming

:41:23. > :41:27.back from 2-1 down to defeat the French. And the honour of winning

:41:28. > :41:34.their fifth tie and following Novak Djokavic onto court was Viktor

:41:35. > :41:39.Troicki. Tipsarevic was dropped on the final day and Troicki came in,

:41:40. > :41:41.captain's pick, and won in straight sets against Michael Llodra. I

:41:42. > :41:56.wonder what will happen tomorrow. Captains play such an important

:41:57. > :42:00.role. Nowhere else in men's tennis to see the captain having such an

:42:01. > :42:05.input. Some players like to be spoken to, others like to be left

:42:06. > :43:11.alone. Absolutely, and you judge it on their personalities.

:43:12. > :44:33.Excellent hold. Very solid on the server. -- on the serve.

:44:34. > :44:43.This is where they have had the most success, the British team. They were

:44:44. > :44:45.broken in the eighth game. Of the previous set. They have had chances.

:44:46. > :46:31.Lost on a tie-break. He needs to tell his partner to

:46:32. > :46:33.move, to cross. Jamie Murray has been getting in the groove on the

:46:34. > :47:10.service, you need to change it up. He crossed! Marry just catching it a

:47:11. > :47:26.little bit late. That is good doubles. -- Jamie Murray.

:47:27. > :47:39.Seriously! Why would you go for that? That is such bad play. He

:47:40. > :47:43.could easily have got back and put up a skyscraper Labe. On such a big

:47:44. > :48:41.point. -- skyscraper lob. Dom Inglot now with the whip hand,

:48:42. > :50:22.seeing the ball on the return. Possibly a hip issue for Zimonjic.

:50:23. > :50:28.Two hours and 20 minutes of a match, probably an hour's practice the

:50:29. > :50:32.forehand. 40 years of age, it certainly does not get easier. This

:50:33. > :50:36.man with vast experience which he will try to bring to bear here but

:50:37. > :50:42.it is difficult with Ingle at serving. You may or may not get a

:50:43. > :50:47.chance. -- with Dom Inglot serving. With Jamie, you generally get a

:50:48. > :51:14.chance to knock it back, but his hands are so good.

:51:15. > :51:19.Every tie is a home tie. With Stirling University there, it really

:51:20. > :51:30.is a home comfort when you are a long way from home.

:51:31. > :51:43.Two very good volleys from Jamie Murray.

:51:44. > :51:57.Pulled the racket heads down to sharply.

:51:58. > :52:10.Very cross with himself. I think he knew where that was going. Almost

:52:11. > :52:11.had too much time here. That would have cost him a few thousand pounds

:52:12. > :52:24.at Wimbledon. That was a much better serve. Into

:52:25. > :54:50.the body. So they know, the big server, Dom

:54:51. > :54:54.Inglot, will put pedal to the metal in the next game whatever. Good

:54:55. > :56:12.start. A battle of reflexes between Jamie

:56:13. > :56:21.Murray and Zimonjic. A little treat there. Just a point away from asking

:56:22. > :56:37.a question of Inglot and Jamie Murray.

:56:38. > :56:49.Where did he play that from? Four or five feet behind his own service

:56:50. > :56:52.line, we were amazed when Roger Federer would casually stroll in and

:56:53. > :57:16.play half volleys. Now it is awake, and down comes the

:57:17. > :57:30.umpire to check it. Jamie Murray has no doubt.

:57:31. > :58:08.Leon Smith would be happy enough for it to finish here.

:58:09. > :58:13.SUE BARKER: Great Britain will serve for this match. Just to warn you

:58:14. > :58:17.we're going to have to move channels in just a minute or so to make way

:58:18. > :58:24.for the BBC News. The end of this match may be over on BBC Two. We

:58:25. > :58:31.will give you further warning. Did you get nervous when you were

:58:32. > :58:36.serving out yourself? Do you think Dom Inglot will be? I think you

:58:37. > :58:41.will. This is the chance for his first Davis Cup title match. He will

:58:42. > :58:46.be trying to calm himself down. It will be the old cliche, but it is

:58:47. > :58:49.one point at the time. You visualise where the serve is going and you try

:58:50. > :58:55.to block out the rest as much as you can. But this is a big match for

:58:56. > :59:01.both British players. Dom Inglot, he will want to get his first win down.

:59:02. > :59:05.He is certainly eager. A bit too eager. He took a nice, deep breath

:59:06. > :59:23.there. Great Britain in this quarterfinal

:59:24. > :59:40.of the Davis Cup. Serving for a 2-1 lead.

:59:41. > :59:47.SUE BARKER: Huge apologies, we are having to leave this match here on

:59:48. > :59:49.BBC One but we will pick up on BBC Two in just a few seconds so if you

:59:50. > :59:51.want to watch the
