0:00:36 > 0:00:40Hello and welcome to the start of our coverage of this world group

0:00:40 > 0:00:44Davis Cup tie between Great Britain and Spain in Marbella. We have three

0:00:44 > 0:00:48days to look forward to. It was in this competition Great Britain had

0:00:48 > 0:00:52one of its most memorable moments a few years ago when spearheaded by

0:00:52 > 0:00:56Andy Murray when they beat Belgium in the final to lift the magnificent

0:00:56 > 0:01:02trophy, for the first time in 79 years. Sadly, there is no Andy,

0:01:02 > 0:01:06still recovering from hip surgery he had in Melbourne earlier this month

0:01:06 > 0:01:14but he is

0:01:14 > 0:01:17but he is aiming to be back in time for the grass court season in the

0:01:17 > 0:01:19summer. But the new British star emerged down under in 23-year-old

0:01:19 > 0:01:21Kyle Edmund, who fought his way through to his first-ever Grand Slam

0:01:21 > 0:01:24semifinal, losing to Marin Cilic. The effort took its toll, and he

0:01:24 > 0:01:29faced a minor hip injury, facing a race against time to be fit. He

0:01:29 > 0:01:34travelled to Marbella, practising on the clay every day. Sadly his time

0:01:34 > 0:01:37ran out. Yesterday British captain Leon Smith announced Kyle Wood not

0:01:37 > 0:01:41take part in today's singles matches but he might play on Sunday. The

0:01:41 > 0:01:49British team travelling to the Costa Del Sol, but this is no holiday,

0:01:49 > 0:01:53facing the mighty tennis nation of Spain, all players ranking inside

0:01:53 > 0:02:00the top 40 in the world despite no Rafa Nadal. Cameron Norrie and Liam

0:02:00 > 0:02:04Broady have both been playing on the Challenger circuit, both making a

0:02:04 > 0:02:13Davis Cup debut today. Let's hear how the decision to not play Kyle

0:02:13 > 0:02:18Edmund was reached, we can hear from Kyle and the Captain.Obviously were

0:02:18 > 0:02:22gutted he's not playing. He's an incredible form, it raises your

0:02:22 > 0:02:26chances. But equally, we care about the player and well-being more than

0:02:26 > 0:02:31just one individual moment. That's why it the right decision not to

0:02:31 > 0:02:38risk it just now and do any further damage. But he's getting closer

0:02:38 > 0:02:41every day. It's more comfort conversation as the week progresses.

0:02:41 > 0:02:46Let's hope that on Sunday there is still a live opportunity that he can

0:02:46 > 0:02:52play some part. It's my decision, I know my body better than anyone else

0:02:52 > 0:02:56so I know what I'm feeling. I know what it is to go out there and play

0:02:56 > 0:03:02the best of five sets against the Spanish players, it's tough, and you

0:03:02 > 0:03:06have to be ready. If I wasn't feeling 100% happy with where I'm

0:03:06 > 0:03:14at, the other thing is I wasn't 100% happy on the clay. You need the

0:03:14 > 0:03:22hours to get comfortable. Friday is too soon for me. We will see what

0:03:22 > 0:03:27happens ahead of the weekend. Of course, I love playing the Davis Cup

0:03:27 > 0:03:32and it's a shame not to play. But it's great for Liam and Cameron to

0:03:32 > 0:03:36make their debut and it will be special for them. It's a huge

0:03:36 > 0:03:40privilege to play for their country. They are getting the opportunity to

0:03:40 > 0:03:44do that in the world group against Spain, 8000 people, and a lot of

0:03:44 > 0:03:49British fans as well. I am thrilled for them. Win or lose, for me, it's

0:03:49 > 0:03:53about going out there and fighting hard. Also thinking, keeping your

0:03:53 > 0:04:03wits about you and learning and from it. I've been really impressed by

0:04:03 > 0:04:07their work rate. They both have good mindsets, which is good to see. They

0:04:07 > 0:04:11are absorbing everything in the team, getting to be around Jamie and

0:04:11 > 0:04:16Dominik and Kyle, who now have a bank of experience. It's another

0:04:16 > 0:04:19stepping stone, a massive challenge, but if they are serious about where

0:04:19 > 0:04:24they want to go, which I genuinely feel they are, this is good for

0:04:24 > 0:04:28them.Joining me in the studio, Jamie Baker and John Lloyd, John,

0:04:28 > 0:04:35you were captain, so must now how Leon Smith will be disappointed. But

0:04:35 > 0:04:38the Davis Cup, scheduled after a major championship, anybody who gets

0:04:38 > 0:04:42a deep run in the tournament, it's difficult to recover in time. The

0:04:42 > 0:04:49scheduling is so bad, right after the Grand Slam. Anybody who gets to

0:04:49 > 0:04:52the quarterfinal onwards, if you are captain, you almost hope they lose

0:04:52 > 0:04:56early! I will not say that too loud, but you know there is a risk that

0:04:56 > 0:05:01your main players might not make it the following week.As captain, is

0:05:01 > 0:05:05there a risky has left Kyle in rather than bring in a junior? If

0:05:05 > 0:05:10there is an injury, who will play the singles match on Sunday?Jamie

0:05:10 > 0:05:18Murray.Who probably hasn't played a singles match since...?It's a risk,

0:05:18 > 0:05:27but one you have to take.As Leon was saying, to make your Davis Cup

0:05:27 > 0:05:31debut, portly and Cameron, it's a big step up from the Challenger

0:05:31 > 0:05:35circuit.It's a massive step up, but you never know what will happen.

0:05:35 > 0:05:39With Andy Murray and Kyle Edmund in the frame a few months ago, these

0:05:39 > 0:05:42guys would not be thinking they were going to play singles in this match.

0:05:42 > 0:05:47On the positive side, nobody is expected to win. But it's how we can

0:05:47 > 0:05:50use the situation to up your game. The one question is always around

0:05:50 > 0:05:55the quality of the Spanish team, is the gulf just a bit too high to pull

0:05:55 > 0:06:00off the upset? But there is always chance. There is always a chance. We

0:06:00 > 0:06:04have a lot of talk about, but here is the match schedule over the

0:06:04 > 0:06:06coming three days.

0:06:11 > 0:06:15The doubles match tomorrow is the only match where we have the higher

0:06:15 > 0:06:18ranked players. One match has already been completed. Liam Broady

0:06:18 > 0:06:23took on the Spanish number one Albert Ramos Vinolas. On paper, it

0:06:23 > 0:06:28looked a very one-sided match, as Ramos Vinolas is ranked 21 in the

0:06:28 > 0:06:34world and Liam Broady is at 165. But Broady played attacking tennis, and

0:06:34 > 0:06:39worried the Spaniard. He was serving for the third set. We can join it

0:06:39 > 0:06:44there, it's on the tie-break at 6-6. John was calling this match with

0:06:44 > 0:06:45Chris Bradnam.

0:06:49 > 0:06:54COMMENTATOR:

0:07:13 > 0:07:19Who says you can't be successful going forward? This is a clay court

0:07:19 > 0:07:23in Spain! It's overwhelming, the percentage points won at the from

0:07:23 > 0:07:37Broady. -- won at the net from Broady.

0:08:23 > 0:08:32It's the right shout. Did well. Really anticipated well and hit some

0:08:32 > 0:08:37superb

0:08:38 > 0:08:43superb volleys. Credit to Ramos Manolas. Good pick-up. That one was

0:08:43 > 0:08:51right at him.

0:08:56 > 0:09:02Keeps going in.

0:09:57 > 0:10:04That's a pity, there, because Ramos Vinolas was very short with the

0:10:04 > 0:10:11forehands mid-court, almost daring Liam Broady to go for one.

0:10:15 > 0:10:22He's the one taking the ball on, not this one. Ramos, he's almost

0:10:22 > 0:10:28protecting a little bit.

0:10:28 > 0:10:37Needed that one. It's a rare sight, but the time to do it. Just his

0:10:37 > 0:10:45third.

0:11:17 > 0:11:23Well done. Short return of serve and got punished.

0:11:41 > 0:11:49They're singing is very appropriate right now.

0:11:49 > 0:11:52right now. There's Liam Broady.

0:11:57 > 0:12:04I think they are enjoying the British support! They are all a

0:12:04 > 0:12:07little crazy, no?

0:12:15 > 0:12:22That's a nervous looking backhand. He's pointing at his legs. Didn't

0:12:22 > 0:12:31bend on that one at all.

0:13:13 > 0:13:17It's the right shots to go with, though. Got to attack the second

0:13:17 > 0:13:25serve.

0:14:03 > 0:14:17That's huge. Was always sitting up to be hit. And didn't he hit it.

0:14:39 > 0:14:46Extraordinary, there. Played such a solid point, a great forehand to win

0:14:46 > 0:14:51the point. That was an OK serve, but missed it by miles.

0:15:03 > 0:15:07Again, the serve and volley. Ramos Vinolas can't believe it. A smile

0:15:07 > 0:15:20from Leon Smith. He's got a set point.

0:16:00 > 0:16:08Fabulous.What point. The backhand Moli from Liam Broady was excellent

0:16:08 > 0:16:14as well. And the approach shot. I thought he won that point. -- the

0:16:14 > 0:16:18backhand volley. It seems like when the Spaniard is in trouble, that's

0:16:18 > 0:16:25when he plays best. A very good volley. Nothing he could do about

0:16:25 > 0:16:31that. A well played point from both players. It's given them full

0:16:31 > 0:16:34voices.

0:16:34 > 0:16:40CHANTING A Davis Cup atmosphere, there's

0:16:40 > 0:16:46nothing like it.

0:16:46 > 0:16:51CHEERING

0:17:49 > 0:17:57So good. So good!Tremendous. Broady did well to keep himself in that

0:17:57 > 0:18:02rally. He made an excellent get with the inside out forehand. That was

0:18:02 > 0:18:10it. Picked his target and exploded on the ball. From set point, to

0:18:10 > 0:18:17match point.

0:18:39 > 0:18:49What a way to win his first live rubber in Davis Cup for Spain. The

0:18:49 > 0:18:52key points, Ramos Vinolas raised the bar. It was too high for Liam Broady

0:18:52 > 0:18:57in the end. He acquitted himself, on his debut, very well. But Spain

0:18:57 > 0:19:021-up.

0:19:02 > 0:19:09SUE BARKER: the record books will say he won in straight sets, but

0:19:09 > 0:19:14there's more to it than that. Liam Broady playing above what we have

0:19:14 > 0:19:18seen from him in the past. He loved the experience out there but in the

0:19:18 > 0:19:23end Spain go one up. Next on court, Cameron Norrie against Roberto

0:19:23 > 0:19:28Bautista Agut. Jamie, we were watching that and he played so well.

0:19:28 > 0:19:34He really took the game to Ramos Vinolas. It was really good from

0:19:34 > 0:19:36Liam Broady. What I liked was at the

0:19:36 > 0:19:36Vinolas.It was really good from Liam Broady. What I liked was at the

0:19:36 > 0:19:38start you could see he was coming forward and taking the opportunity

0:19:38 > 0:19:42to get up the court and use his volleying skills. He was very

0:19:42 > 0:19:48comfortable at the net today. That's what he Davis Cup team under Leon

0:19:48 > 0:19:53Smith's leadership, they come out with a definite game plan. Looking

0:19:53 > 0:19:57at the match on paper, you think if both players do what they always

0:19:57 > 0:20:01did, there will be only one result. So it's nice to see him do something

0:20:01 > 0:20:04different from the start. That's all you can ask as a captain, that the

0:20:04 > 0:20:08player goes out and embraces the situation, because some get

0:20:08 > 0:20:13terrified by.That's exactly the word, embraced. You could see was

0:20:13 > 0:20:15enjoying the occasion from the beginning. Looking at the stats at

0:20:15 > 0:20:21the end of the match, it was close in winners and unforced errors. But

0:20:21 > 0:20:26on the big points, the Spaniard looked shaky at many times, but at

0:20:26 > 0:20:29crunch points, when it came down to it, he just played a little bit

0:20:29 > 0:20:33better than Liam Broady. But on a Davis Cup debut, I thought Broady

0:20:33 > 0:20:37played as well as he can, and that's all you can ask.Sergi Bruguera

0:20:37 > 0:20:44didn't look happy even one his player was winning. He has Bautista

0:20:44 > 0:20:49Agut on the sideline, ranked 11 places above, and not picked.

0:20:49 > 0:20:53Carreno Busta doesn't have the best Davis Cup record, but neither does

0:20:53 > 0:21:00Ramos. This was Bruguera's first match as captain. I have never seen

0:21:00 > 0:21:04anybody as animated as when his player is winning. You wonder what

0:21:04 > 0:21:08he's actually saying. And then suddenly at the changeover is he

0:21:08 > 0:21:11doesn't stop talking. He has experienced players on his team,

0:21:11 > 0:21:17when you look at who they have. He's spoilt for choice. He's spoilt for

0:21:17 > 0:21:20choice, but you can see from the reaction in the first match coming

0:21:20 > 0:21:25is not afraid to say his opinions. He was up two sets to love and a

0:21:25 > 0:21:29break, and he's almost saying, do it this way and get on with it! It was

0:21:29 > 0:21:34great, I loved to see it. But an interesting captain. It'll be

0:21:34 > 0:21:38interesting to see what he says to Roberto in the next match as he

0:21:38 > 0:21:42takes on 22-year-old Cameron Norrie, making his Davis Cup debut. He has

0:21:42 > 0:21:48been talking to Lee Goodall. It's a great opportunity for me to play in

0:21:48 > 0:21:51Spain away on the clay. I couldn't be more thankful for the

0:21:51 > 0:21:58opportunity. I am pumped to show the world what I can do. I have been

0:21:58 > 0:22:00playing tennis for a while and didn't think I would ever get to

0:22:00 > 0:22:06this stage in my career. If I can look back on it and it is a success,

0:22:06 > 0:22:12then I couldn't be happier to be out here in Spain. It'll be a tough ask

0:22:12 > 0:22:15but I think Broady and I are playing well, so it would be a good

0:22:15 > 0:22:23competition.You start with Roberto Bautista Agut. You probably know

0:22:23 > 0:22:33more about him than he does about you. can you expect? He is

0:22:33 > 0:22:36experienced clay-court player, being from Spain. It will be a tough

0:22:36 > 0:22:41match, very physical. I feel I can back myself physically and mentally

0:22:41 > 0:22:49and just play it point by point, go out and enjoy it and it will be a

0:22:49 > 0:22:53battle out there. Really looking forward to it. It will be a good

0:22:53 > 0:23:00time.STUDIO: I hope so. I think we would call that an international

0:23:00 > 0:23:05accent, born in South Africa, raised in New Zealand, coming over to the

0:23:05 > 0:23:08UK and he has placed college tennis and based himself in Texas. Very

0:23:08 > 0:23:14well travelled.Cameron Norrie is a really good story. I removed the

0:23:14 > 0:23:17training alongside him at the National Tennis Centre when he was

0:23:17 > 0:23:21younger and at 16 and 17 he was an OK player, but you could tell he

0:23:21 > 0:23:25wasn't mature enough already for the tour. He made the decision to go to

0:23:25 > 0:23:29the US and have an unbelievably successful three years. Since coming

0:23:29 > 0:23:33out of that, he's a different person, very professional. Leon

0:23:33 > 0:23:37Smith said in his interview that he has a growth mindset, and he's

0:23:37 > 0:23:44taking everything like a proper job from the start. He's still only 22

0:23:44 > 0:23:46and has all that experience behind him, playing all that tennis. No

0:23:46 > 0:23:49matter what level you play at, if you have won all those matches from

0:23:49 > 0:23:55the Challenge Tour last year, then it works in your favour.College

0:23:55 > 0:23:58tennis teaches you to can be a competitor because a lot is expected

0:23:58 > 0:24:02of you.The pressure on you in college tennis, the crowds there are

0:24:02 > 0:24:07big and every point is vital. It's back in vogue. I think John Isner

0:24:07 > 0:24:11was one of the ones who showed you could be a college player and also

0:24:11 > 0:24:14carry it into being an international player and I think we will see a lot

0:24:14 > 0:24:18more players going to American colleges to play. He's had a great

0:24:18 > 0:24:25last 12 months, winning challenges all over the US, that breeds

0:24:25 > 0:24:30confidence.He's now in a position where he is just outside the top

0:24:30 > 0:24:32100. His next step is to push his ranking a paid little bit further,

0:24:32 > 0:24:36and if he can get the foundation of getting into the four Grand Slams so

0:24:36 > 0:24:40he gets an opportunity on bigger stages on a regular basis. The Davis

0:24:40 > 0:24:45Cup match is just the start of hopefully what would be more

0:24:45 > 0:24:48opportunities to come for him.He obviously loves the team environment

0:24:48 > 0:24:52so he will love this Davis Cup tie as well. Jamie, you will be on your

0:24:52 > 0:24:57way to the commentary box. We can join this second singles match. It's

0:24:57 > 0:25:02Cameron Norrie taking on Roberto Bautista Agut, and it's the second

0:25:02 > 0:25:08game with Spain leading 1-0. Cameron Norrie is serving and Jamie Jones

0:25:08 > 0:25:21Chris Bradnam. All yours, Chris. -- and Jamie joins Chris Bradnam.

0:25:21 > 0:25:26COMMENTATOR: Another point that typifies the start of this match.

0:25:26 > 0:25:30Keenly contested, long rallies and a deuce holed from Bautista Agut at

0:25:30 > 0:25:38the start of this match. Such a studious player, very few unforced

0:25:38 > 0:25:45errors. He has won his last five live singles rubbers for Spain. And

0:25:45 > 0:25:50Spain winning 27 of its last 28 ties on clay.

0:26:09 > 0:26:17So far today, this man is the odd one out, the only right-hander. Six

0:26:17 > 0:26:27foot two, Norrie, one metre 88.

0:26:30 > 0:26:42Bautista Agut, six foot, one metre 83.

0:27:32 > 0:27:41A positive error, though, looking to boss the point. We saw a lot of that

0:27:41 > 0:27:50sort of play from Broady in the opener.

0:28:25 > 0:28:30Nicely done, the classic leftie play. The outswinger, approach down

0:28:30 > 0:28:36the line. And Norrie secures his opening service game.

0:30:31 > 0:30:35Superb. The way he leaned on the that.

0:30:35 > 0:30:41Superb. The way he leaned on the that. , it's the first break point.

0:31:15 > 0:31:24Magnificent. Norrie. No wonder that has put a spring in his step.

0:31:24 > 0:31:28Terrific start Jamie.Great start. I have noticed that the start of both

0:31:28 > 0:31:33of these matches today, I think the Great Britain team have made a point

0:31:33 > 0:31:39of doing this with a smile on their face, which these are high pressure

0:31:39 > 0:31:43situations, but actually, they are amazingly privileged positions to be

0:31:43 > 0:31:52in, and when do we start playing tennis? I don't think it is a

0:31:52 > 0:31:56coincidence he has embraced that and started the match so well.It is an

0:31:56 > 0:31:59interesting story, his, born in South Africa, then moved to New

0:31:59 > 0:32:04Zealand, ended up in the States but he started tennis at eight, on his

0:32:04 > 0:32:08front drive with a sawn-off squash racket. His mother is Welsh, hence

0:32:08 > 0:32:11the British connection. He only decided to fully concentrate on

0:32:11 > 0:32:17tennis at 15. He played squash, rugby, many other sports, then the

0:32:17 > 0:32:21American college system, he really did do well there.

0:32:21 > 0:32:27A lot of winning, he was the top ranked college player.

0:32:27 > 0:32:35This another step up. But he started brilliantly.

0:35:03 > 0:35:16He just looks so confident, this 22-year-old.

0:37:12 > 0:37:21His eyes are narrowing.

0:39:06 > 0:39:12It is very tense start from Bautista Agut. Just trying to think, anyone

0:39:12 > 0:39:18would have a few nerves. I wonder whether there is a slight

0:39:18 > 0:39:21underestimating of the opponents perhaps. Not quite coming out on to

0:39:21 > 0:39:32the court with the right energy. Yes.

0:39:46 > 0:39:50He would have done as much homework as possible to find out about

0:39:50 > 0:39:54Cameron Norrie, playing him for the first time. I think he probably has

0:39:54 > 0:40:05his full respect right now.

0:40:31 > 0:40:41It is is a good hold from love 30.

0:40:41 > 0:40:46Bear in minding he is not possibly settled yet. For Cameron Norrie,

0:40:46 > 0:40:53Jamie, he started end of 15, he was 717 in the world, the following year

0:40:53 > 0:41:03276, last year he was 214. He won two challenges, qualified, lost to

0:41:03 > 0:41:08Carreno-Busta. He lost in the Aussie qualities and the first round of a

0:41:08 > 0:41:14challenger at Newport beach coming in.

0:41:14 > 0:41:20But David cup can lift you.I think probably maybe the last six to eight

0:41:20 > 0:41:24weeks or so, his megahot streak of winning matches is drying up a bit,

0:41:24 > 0:41:29he is back on to a built more of a normal Ku. There was a time for

0:41:29 > 0:41:34three or four months where he was getting to the final or winning

0:41:34 > 0:41:37every challenge, in good tournaments. He has given himself

0:41:37 > 0:41:42the platform for the next seven months or so to see if he can dip

0:41:42 > 0:41:47over the line to get into the draws of the Grand Slams. It is a

0:41:47 > 0:41:52foundation to build from, isn't it. Yes. It is a major step. To get

0:41:52 > 0:42:00directly in.

0:42:00 > 0:42:05directly in. Still just 22-year-old, Norrie.

0:42:41 > 0:42:46Those points will be finishing.Yes, over the course of a best of five

0:42:46 > 0:42:52set match, we haven't seen many of those yet.

0:42:54 > 0:42:58His seventh career title in Auckland at the start of this year, Bautista

0:42:58 > 0:43:05Agut.

0:43:07 > 0:43:12He has used that play a lot already. The lefty.

0:43:28 > 0:43:32Brilliant. It is a versatile forehand.Yes that

0:43:32 > 0:43:39was a clever shot. You could see from the picture how far behind the

0:43:39 > 0:43:42baseline Bautista Agut had retreated. To go for that short

0:43:42 > 0:43:46forehand, bounced on the service line, there was no chance of him

0:43:46 > 0:43:51picking that up.

0:44:07 > 0:44:13How's that for a point?Such good play, really one to build your

0:44:13 > 0:44:16confidence. Shows you how many times you have to win a point on clay as

0:44:16 > 0:44:28well. That should be worth three!

0:45:43 > 0:45:49Such a good there, match player.

0:45:54 > 0:46:00His attention to detail is amazing.

0:47:01 > 0:47:01Thinker,

0:47:03 > 0:47:15Made it! There will be a lot of standing up if this continues.Such

0:47:15 > 0:47:22good point construction, a couple of times Bautista Agut had great

0:47:22 > 0:47:24defence, wiped his forehand at that point. But Norrie going back to the

0:47:24 > 0:47:32drawing board and doing what he has to do win these points.

0:47:32 > 0:47:37I see Bautista Agut has won seven titles. Five have been on hard, one

0:47:37 > 0:47:42clay, one grass, so he has won on all surfaces but you would expect it

0:47:42 > 0:47:47to be five on clay. For a Spanish player yes, that is

0:47:47 > 0:47:53the interesting thing about his game style, actually.

0:48:17 > 0:48:22Just love his approach, Norrie. He's taking territory early on.

0:48:22 > 0:48:26Just saying about Bautista Agut, you might be able to see from watching

0:48:26 > 0:48:31at home, he has quite a flat ball trajectory, it is Norrie's shape of

0:48:31 > 0:48:36his forehand, it is more of a clay court shape than either of Bautista

0:48:36 > 0:48:44Agut's shots.

0:48:44 > 0:48:47Agut's shots. I'm not saying Norrie is more comfortable on the clay,

0:48:47 > 0:48:51what it does show is that Bautista Agut is not your standard Spanish

0:48:51 > 0:49:02player you would expect.

0:49:29 > 0:49:36Not by much. He wants it checked, I think.

0:49:36 > 0:49:43But I think Leon Smith said it was wide.

0:50:24 > 0:50:28A classic clay courter would have slid in, trying to pick that drop

0:50:28 > 0:50:33shot up.

0:50:36 > 0:50:47shot up. There's one.He might have something to say soon.

0:50:55 > 0:51:05Stays in touch first set. They have such standard in denth. All five in

0:51:05 > 0:51:12their squad, in the top 40, in the world. They could pick maybe or two

0:51:12 > 0:51:16or three teams for Davis Cup.It is crazy, in a way it is is a good

0:51:16 > 0:51:20problem for have, but probably the biggest problem for the Captain is

0:51:20 > 0:51:24actually who do you pick? When you get it down four or five, out of

0:51:24 > 0:51:28those, who do you actually put on the court? Anyone you put on is a

0:51:28 > 0:51:33good option. Interesting point in the depth of Spanish tennis,

0:51:33 > 0:51:37although they have been unbelievably strong for a long time, the rise of

0:51:37 > 0:51:42paddle tennis in Spain is causing some serious grief in participation

0:51:42 > 0:51:47numbers. It is fascinating things, so paddle is going through the

0:51:47 > 0:51:51process of being registered as an official sport.Wow. It is a great

0:51:51 > 0:51:56game.You go, I have seen it myself, you go to a lot of clubs round Spain

0:51:56 > 0:52:01now, and there is a paddle court almost every were. It is great

0:52:01 > 0:52:10exercise and an easier game to pick up.Interesting.

0:52:13 > 0:52:20Super backdrop round the club. Nice to see the sunshine too.

0:52:20 > 0:52:25So new balls in play, Norrie, this this eshlly initiative in the break,

0:52:25 > 0:52:27leads 4-3. -- early.

0:52:43 > 0:52:48Great length.

0:53:19 > 0:53:23Such good use of the whole court. Two short angles from the forehand

0:53:23 > 0:53:29in that point. Great thing about it is, look at the margin for error,

0:53:29 > 0:53:35this attacking forehand, it is miles over the National Health Service.

0:53:35 > 0:53:49-- net. He has just settled so well, hasn't he.

0:53:59 > 0:54:00Net.

0:54:38 > 0:54:47Standing so far back now, Bautista Agut.

0:54:47 > 0:55:01It is almost like he is still analysing Cameron Norrie.

0:55:20 > 0:55:30First break point for him.

0:55:47 > 0:55:54Ouch. Two doubles in the game. First couple of loose points from

0:55:54 > 0:56:01Norrie. It just shows you. If you let your Congresses tracing

0:56:01 > 0:56:07slip for just a split second. That is all it takes against a player of

0:56:07 > 0:56:16Bautista Agut's quality. Concentration slip for just a split

0:56:16 > 0:56:19second. That is all it takes against a player of Bautista Agut's quality.

0:56:19 > 0:56:27He only played one five set match in his life. For Norrie, not yet won.

0:56:27 > 0:56:34Great experience, getting this opportunity.

0:56:44 > 0:56:51Very different mind-set required.

0:56:59 > 0:57:05He is warming to the task. It is like he's just sat and watched

0:57:05 > 0:57:12somebody else play tennis for half an hour and, what has he done to

0:57:12 > 0:57:23break back there?

0:58:19 > 0:58:26Oh... So good.Well that had one of the best backhands from nori,

0:58:26 > 0:58:31followed by this. This. It was a shame because he turned the point

0:58:31 > 0:58:35around.

0:58:44 > 0:58:44Norrie,

0:59:09 > 0:59:16Three games in a row. Pendulum swings.

0:59:16 > 0:59:20He has knocked on the top ten door, you don't do that without being one

0:59:20 > 0:59:26hell of a player. 13 in the world a couple of years ago, he beat world

0:59:26 > 0:59:30number one Novak Djokovic, in Shanghai.

0:59:30 > 0:59:34Just when you are following in the sort of footsteps of Nadal, you

0:59:34 > 0:59:39don't get ahead 06 yourself, do you, you have do a lot to make an

0:59:39 > 0:59:43imPresident-elect. It almost -- impression. It almost helps the

0:59:43 > 0:59:51chasing pack.A lot of country, the career that this man has had up to

0:59:51 > 0:59:56now, would be up in lights because it is spectacular career, which it

0:59:56 > 1:00:01is, and in the environment he is in and he is travelling on the tour

1:00:01 > 1:00:04with so many other Spanish players and the culture within Spanish

1:00:04 > 1:00:09tennis, what he is doing the normal. Like you say because there is a

1:00:09 > 1:00:14special adviser Nadal, it is not that special.No. How do you follow

1:00:14 > 1:00:23Nadal? Graciously I suppose. Very difficult.

1:00:24 > 1:00:28difficult. So another test here for Cameron Norrie. Started so well,

1:00:28 > 1:00:334-2. Lost the last three game, can he gather himself to stay alive in

1:00:33 > 1:00:42this opening set?

1:01:04 > 1:01:08That court possession you mentioned, Chris, of Bautista Agut, it means

1:01:08 > 1:01:13Norrie isn't able to hit anything through it. So every point he wins

1:01:13 > 1:01:21he has to weave a bit of magic, whether it's with an angle, but he

1:01:21 > 1:01:26has to work at it.And plenty of that, I guess. The serve followed by

1:01:26 > 1:01:37the forehand. They have been great supporters. For whatever group and

1:01:37 > 1:01:46opposition Great Britain have been in, they have been there.

1:01:52 > 1:02:04These doubles are going to be costly.

1:02:25 > 1:02:31I wonder if this is normal. In matches for him, the double faults.

1:02:31 > 1:02:37Whether it's nerves at this key time. Literally gifted two set

1:02:37 > 1:02:42points.

1:02:56 > 1:03:00He doesn't need too much of an invitation, Bautista Agut. Four

1:03:00 > 1:03:07games in a row. 6-4, the opening set. SUE BARKER: what a turnaround

1:03:07 > 1:03:10in that set. Huge disappointment with Cameron Norrie. We will be

1:03:10 > 1:03:14right back to the match but while they change ends we can look at the

1:03:14 > 1:03:20other matches played around the world. Reigning champions France

1:03:20 > 1:03:25have no Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. They are also resting Lucas Pouille from the

1:03:25 > 1:03:30singles so it's Richard Gasquet and Mannarino playing the singles today.

1:03:30 > 1:03:36But Mannarino has dropped the first set against the Netherlands. Italy

1:03:36 > 1:03:43taking on Japan, Fabio Fognini winning his match in five sets. One

1:03:43 > 1:03:51of the new rules for this year, tie-breaks in all five sets. We are

1:03:51 > 1:03:57enjoying Great Britain against Spain. Australia against Germany,

1:03:57 > 1:04:04Sascha Zverev defeating the Australian rising star. Winning a

1:04:04 > 1:04:09tie-break 7-4.

1:04:10 > 1:04:12tie-break 7-4. Nick Kyrgios winning in straight sets over Jan Leonard

1:04:12 > 1:04:17Struff.

1:04:18 > 1:04:27Struff. No federal or Wawrinka for Switzerland. -- know Federer.

1:04:32 > 1:04:39Marin Cilic has elected not to play in the singles today. Coric lost the

1:04:39 > 1:04:44first set to Pospisil but is up in the second, they are playing at in

1:04:44 > 1:04:48Croatia. The United States against Serbia, John Isner and Sam Querrey

1:04:48 > 1:04:52for the United States against a very youthful Serbian team. Last year's

1:04:52 > 1:04:57runners-up Belgium are playing Hungary. We will be back for the

1:04:57 > 1:05:02doubles tomorrow on BBC Two at 1pm. Plenty to look forward to right now.

1:05:02 > 1:05:07Back to Chris and Jamie.

1:05:07 > 1:05:13COMMENTATOR: 44 minute set. In no way I think Bautista Agut might feel

1:05:13 > 1:05:29he has pinched it. -- in a way, I think.

1:05:40 > 1:05:46Well done. Your thoughts, Jamie?I'm glad to see the way Norrie played

1:05:46 > 1:05:50the first point. The reason for losing the first set, it was nothing

1:05:50 > 1:05:56to do with the way he was playing. It wasn't a tactical problem. It was

1:05:56 > 1:06:01execution at the end. Probably six or seven loose points, three or four

1:06:01 > 1:06:05of them double faults, and that's enough against somebody like this to

1:06:05 > 1:06:10lose a set. I think the way he's mixing his game up and playing is

1:06:10 > 1:06:15the way to win the match, for sure.

1:07:26 > 1:07:31It's relentless from Bautista Agut, isn't it? Point after point after

1:07:31 > 1:07:38point.You know he's not going to give you anything. And if he does

1:07:38 > 1:07:41give you an error, you really notice it. You think, better make the most

1:07:41 > 1:07:49of that one.

1:07:56 > 1:08:01Five games in a row. The next one is very important for Norrie. Can you

1:08:01 > 1:08:05see anything technically that will cause the double faults? Is he being

1:08:05 > 1:08:10too aggressive and overplaying because of the opponent?I don't

1:08:10 > 1:08:14think it's technical. Sometimes when a player is standing as far back as

1:08:14 > 1:08:19Bautista Agut is, visually on the second serve it can sometimes lead

1:08:19 > 1:08:23you to go for a bit too much. It makes you feel you have to hit the

1:08:23 > 1:08:26ball harder because you are trying to instinctively beat somebody for

1:08:26 > 1:08:33pace. Outside of that, he was looking very secure up until the

1:08:33 > 1:08:41last couple of service games.

1:08:44 > 1:08:48Just went for the three quarters serve because Bautista Agut will not

1:08:48 > 1:08:54hurt him on the return from where he stands.

1:08:55 > 1:09:03stands. Look for the forehand, effective the first set.

1:09:16 > 1:09:21It's one of the most common misjudgements, if you like, of less

1:09:21 > 1:09:25experienced players against the top players, the tendency to think you

1:09:25 > 1:09:30have to overplay. It's not so much overplaying, but it's having to

1:09:30 > 1:09:33repeat and the consistency. Bautista Agut is relentless, point after

1:09:33 > 1:09:40point after point. I don't think Norrie is overplaying, he just needs

1:09:40 > 1:09:44to put a lid on some of the loose errors.

1:10:57 > 1:11:1012 unforced errors for Norrie. But he's 11-6 up in winners.

1:11:45 > 1:11:59Well worked over in that point. Another break point for Spain.

1:12:23 > 1:12:34At 4-2 for Norrie, it was looking good. He hasn't won again since.

1:12:48 > 1:12:54You watch a lot of tennis, Chris. How much time do you spend talking

1:12:54 > 1:12:57about momentum? It's amazing how quickly it can change and it ebbs

1:12:57 > 1:12:59and flows.

1:13:05 > 1:13:09Yes, it's pretty overwhelming right now.

1:13:37 > 1:13:41He has only tasted defeat a couple of times, Leon Smith, since he took

1:13:41 > 1:13:50over in 2010.

1:14:37 > 1:14:44Such a huge advantage when you grow up on clay, isn't it? It's like

1:14:44 > 1:14:52walking on the carpet at home.

1:14:59 > 1:15:10I love the way all the ball boys and girls are chasing after the ball.

1:15:41 > 1:15:45Just wasn't making those errors in the first half an hour or so, was

1:15:45 > 1:15:48he?

1:16:36 > 1:16:42Didn't slide into this drop shot.

1:16:45 > 1:16:57Played so little on clay. Slid after the shot, really.

1:17:04 > 1:17:13Seven games in a row.Bautista Agut has set out his stall to be an

1:17:13 > 1:17:19absolute brick wall.

1:17:19 > 1:17:21absolute brick wall. Really, he has let Norrie kind of beat himself up

1:17:21 > 1:17:28to this point, really.

1:17:28 > 1:17:31to this point, really. It's a great learning curve, either way. Norrie

1:17:31 > 1:17:36has only really gone forwards in his career and up the rankings. As you

1:17:36 > 1:17:40alluded to earlier comment the next step is a big step. But a player guy

1:17:40 > 1:17:47like this, on this sort of environment. And yes, it's on clay,

1:17:47 > 1:17:54and Norrie is experienced, but what a learning curve. I think Leon said

1:17:54 > 1:18:00yesterday during a preview to the match that win or lose, this is

1:18:00 > 1:18:06experience for these players, Liam and Cameron, it's so valuable and

1:18:06 > 1:18:10it's so important to have the right mindset. For example, the last 20 or

1:18:10 > 1:18:1525 minutes of this match, if he is able to have the right frame of mind

1:18:15 > 1:18:23to look back at that, it will be seriously valuable.

1:18:32 > 1:18:35And this is what separates the good players from the really great

1:18:35 > 1:18:38players, the speed at which they learn. The really great players will

1:18:38 > 1:18:42be doing it during the match. They won't be waiting until after they

1:18:42 > 1:18:55have lost. But that's the scale, the genius, of those brilliant players.

1:18:56 > 1:19:07UMPIRE:Let, first service.

1:20:01 > 1:20:06Yeah, this is tough.

1:21:29 > 1:21:34Another break point. Bautista Agut is so settled in his game plan.

1:21:34 > 1:21:44Norrie has just lost his way.

1:21:54 > 1:21:57I was just about to say how brilliant that was from Bautista

1:21:57 > 1:22:02Agut. He just put his foot on the gas slightly in those ground strokes

1:22:02 > 1:22:13for the big point. Didn't expect him to put that last one long.

1:22:18 > 1:22:22Should have been playing a drop shot from the first ball, Norrie, to stop

1:22:22 > 1:22:26Bautista Agut standing back there.

1:22:49 > 1:22:55Variety is never a bad thing. We can see from that mis-hit forehand, it

1:22:55 > 1:22:59forced Bautista Agut to come in. If anything else, it gives a slightly

1:22:59 > 1:23:05different look for the opponent. That'll do. But it's so tough to do

1:23:05 > 1:23:08consistently.

1:23:37 > 1:23:46Back on the scoreboard having saved two break points.

1:23:47 > 1:23:50two break points.Well done, Cameron Norrie. That was a character

1:23:50 > 1:23:55building game. Could easily have folded and lost that little bit of

1:23:55 > 1:24:07confidence. Only one break, still.

1:26:10 > 1:26:14It's almost like he deliberately extends the point at times. It does

1:26:14 > 1:26:22look like that, doesn't it? You would rather get your heart rate up

1:26:22 > 1:26:27to 185 instead of 180. It will help me on the next point!

1:26:55 > 1:27:07He got lucky on the return, but he needs a bit of that right now.

1:27:54 > 1:27:58We could see what he was trying to do there, step back and give himself

1:27:58 > 1:28:06some time and get a deep, heavy ball in. Just slightly overcooked it.

1:28:29 > 1:28:39Well played.

1:28:48 > 1:28:53Good odds on the break points, he is one from one.

1:29:18 > 1:29:24And he does.

1:29:30 > 1:29:34He just seemed to get some sort of rhythm back on the tactic of keeping

1:29:34 > 1:29:38the point short and try to get forward when he can.On those

1:29:38 > 1:29:42points, it was like turning the clock back an hour to the start of

1:29:42 > 1:29:48the match. When he's dictating the point, at the start his movement

1:29:48 > 1:29:51really impressed me because he wasn't staying in one position. If

1:29:51 > 1:29:56there was a shorter ball he was getting up to it quickly but wasn't

1:29:56 > 1:29:59overplaying and coming forward and using the touch he has around the

1:29:59 > 1:30:03net. But when he's executing those tactics, it doesn't look like he is

1:30:03 > 1:30:08overplaying and he doesn't look out of control. It's a question for him,

1:30:08 > 1:30:14what actually happened in that 25-30 minute period that has been the most

1:30:14 > 1:30:19important part of the match, because that's the reason he is a set down.

1:30:25 > 1:30:32He has plenty of game, it seems Cameron Norrie. If Murray gets

1:30:32 > 1:30:36himself back fit, Kyle Edmund, plenty of matches ahead for him. The

1:30:36 > 1:30:44future is looking pretty bright. Plenty of experience here, Norrie

1:30:44 > 1:30:53and Broady. Lights if required. Sunset is 6.30

1:30:53 > 1:30:58if my research is correct. It is another good debate, if the Davis

1:30:58 > 1:31:03Cup matches are going to stay at best point on the calendar, would

1:31:03 > 1:31:08Kyle Edmund be on the court if it was best of three sets? And if it

1:31:08 > 1:31:12was best of three sets for Grand Slam tennis he probably would be

1:31:12 > 1:31:17too, perish the thought.

1:31:52 > 1:32:00We talked about that. It takes some doing but that beat him all ends up.

1:32:00 > 1:32:06He definitely cut that one. Played it finder than he might imagine. The

1:32:06 > 1:32:12principle of the tactic. Absolutely.

1:32:25 > 1:32:32I hear your point about the fact he is standing so deep Bautista Agut,

1:32:32 > 1:32:43that it can disorientate you, but... They must be hurting. Six.

1:32:50 > 1:32:54That is brilliant from the Spaniard. On the big points he is such a good

1:32:54 > 1:32:59match player as you said earlier, Chris. He knows when to just

1:32:59 > 1:33:11increase that pressure on the accelerator.

1:33:46 > 1:33:52That is Bautista Agut at his very very best.

1:34:03 > 1:34:07Fourth round of all of the Grand Slams this man. Surely a

1:34:07 > 1:34:13quarterfinal is just round the corner.

1:34:13 > 1:34:19Such a good player.I what is so intimidating about him, it is

1:34:19 > 1:34:22intimidating for me just to watch it, let alone what it must be like

1:34:22 > 1:34:26the other side of the net. He genuinely looks like if he had to be

1:34:26 > 1:34:35out there for 12 hours, doing that, he could.

1:34:35 > 1:34:40Quite a worrying thought, isn't it. He may be a good poker player and

1:34:40 > 1:34:53have a good Poker Face. I think he could give it a good shot.

1:35:30 > 1:35:35Poker face. I think he could give it a good shot.

1:35:35 > 1:35:39That is home advantage, you try to pick the surface that is going to

1:35:39 > 1:35:44unsettle your opponent position as much as you can. It is the natural

1:35:44 > 1:35:54choice for Spain any

1:35:58 > 1:36:02way, but... Amazing to think this is their first home tie since 2013.I

1:36:02 > 1:36:12know.

1:36:15 > 1:36:20They must have a lot of home ties coming up, no matter who they play,

1:36:20 > 1:36:30you would think. If you weren't with us earlier, how

1:36:30 > 1:36:39it work, it is very simple. If Spain play Great Britain again in Davis

1:36:39 > 1:36:42Cup, say next year, it would be in Great Britain, because they were

1:36:42 > 1:36:46home this year. If youed have never played a nation

1:36:46 > 1:36:50before it is drawn by lot. -- you have never played a nation

1:36:50 > 1:37:00before it is drawn by lot. 5-2 now.

1:37:00 > 1:37:06Very business like from Bautista Agut.

1:37:16 > 1:37:21Quite a bit to say the new Captain, it would be fascinating to know what

1:37:21 > 1:37:26he is saying. What a player he was on the clay. Brutal.

1:37:26 > 1:37:34He was a machine, wasn't he. Captain, it would be

1:37:34 > 1:37:39I remember that grip on his forehand. I thought how does your

1:37:39 > 1:37:45wrist allow that to happen? It was insane. Not as extreme as if you

1:37:45 > 1:37:50remember another player who used the same grip, for forehand and backhand

1:37:50 > 1:37:54and just switched the racket round like a windscreen wiper. It was

1:37:54 > 1:38:00amazing. His arm was made of oak.

1:38:06 > 1:38:17Keep it going. Fight, the key words coming out again.

1:38:17 > 1:38:20First live rubber win for Ramos-Vinolas. It must be a good

1:38:20 > 1:38:25feeling for him.

1:39:20 > 1:39:26You should put your CV in for a coach's job. This serve followed by

1:39:26 > 1:39:41drop shots, it has some momentum. I gave up coaching a long while ago!

1:39:41 > 1:39:51Super hold though.

1:40:40 > 1:40:46Norrie leans on that backhand return very well. He likes to cut off a

1:40:46 > 1:40:49diagonal movement but unfortunately on the clay with the slower surface

1:40:49 > 1:40:52he almost plays hymn out of position, because of the speed of

1:40:52 > 1:40:57the court. On a hard court that would come through, put the opponent

1:40:57 > 1:41:08under pressure but not so much on this slow clay.

1:41:08 > 1:41:12Think how limited his experience is on the clay, I mean it is virtually

1:41:12 > 1:41:16nothing. He is actually doing pretty well.He

1:41:16 > 1:41:24has played some good tennis. Keep mentioning that word

1:41:24 > 1:41:28consistency but it's so true. Cut out the depth and it would be a

1:41:28 > 1:41:33different match.

1:41:45 > 1:41:51It's in.

1:43:26 > 1:43:36Set point.

1:43:54 > 1:43:58As it was for Liam Broady, a huge task. Bautista Agut takes a two sets

1:43:58 > 1:44:08to love lead. SUE BARKER: It is very much

1:44:08 > 1:44:12advantage Spain. They are 1-0 up in this tie when Ramos-Vinolas put out

1:44:12 > 1:44:16Liam Broady in straight set, although it was a lot closer than

1:44:16 > 1:44:19the score suggests and Broady had a set point in the third set and

1:44:19 > 1:44:24played very well indeed. So before we rejoin this match, let us look

1:44:24 > 1:44:25ahead to sport coming up here

1:44:25 > 1:44:25we rejoin this match, let us look ahead to sport coming up here on the

1:44:25 > 1:44:31BBC. We have the Davis Cup continuing live from marble Lea with

1:44:31 > 1:44:39the doubles match. -- Marbella. It continues with the other singles

1:44:39 > 1:44:47matches on Monday. BBC One tomorrow at noon, Football

1:44:47 > 1:44:56Focus can Dan Walker, featuring an interview with Maurecio Pochettino.

1:44:57 > 1:45:04Followed by the Six Nations preview. One of Britain's main medal hopes at

1:45:04 > 1:45:13the winter Olympic is short track speed skater Elise Christie. You can

1:45:13 > 1:45:17see that on Sunday. The winter Olympics gets under way on February

1:45:17 > 1:45:249th. We will be going back to this match, and our coverage comes to an

1:45:24 > 1:45:29end here on BBC Two at three.00. We have 15 minutes or so before it will

1:45:29 > 1:45:34continue on the Red Button. How can the fans rejuvenate Cameron Norrie

1:45:34 > 1:45:39getting back in to this match? Let us rejoin Jamie and Chris.

1:45:39 > 1:45:40getting back in to this match? Let us rejoin Jamie and Chris.

1:45:40 > 1:45:46It will be a tough task, that is for sure for Cameron Norrie from here.

1:45:46 > 1:45:50Five set experience, well, there is none. He would love to experience it

1:45:50 > 1:45:53today but they are in buoyant mood now.

1:45:53 > 1:45:57Spain looking to make it through to the quarterfinals for the second

1:45:57 > 1:46:02straight year, and just the second time since 2012, I mean they haven't

1:46:02 > 1:46:07had the likes of Nadal available all the time. There is still that, the

1:46:07 > 1:46:12question mark over the Davis Cup, I guess, in terms of scheduling which

1:46:12 > 1:46:16you touched on earlier it would be a shame to lose the done, obviously,

1:46:16 > 1:46:21because it is such a great school for players.

1:46:21 > 1:46:27But maybe a revamp just round the corner. It is like the entire tennis

1:46:27 > 1:46:32world, tennis community, various bodies, player, organisations, come

1:46:32 > 1:46:38together and say, look, what can we do to have an effectively a World

1:46:38 > 1:46:41Championship competition, where we have the best players in the sport,

1:46:41 > 1:46:47showcasing the sport? That is, it has to be the end goal.

1:46:47 > 1:46:54Two top ten players competing in the first round this weekend.

1:47:13 > 1:47:17It is that start of movement and the stumble. He is not sure how to move

1:47:17 > 1:47:20into that drop shot.

1:47:23 > 1:47:32Losing fractions of seconds here and there, it makes a big difference.

1:47:53 > 1:47:58If you don't feel comfortable. If the ground beneath your you are not

1:47:58 > 1:48:02comfortable on, it Mikes a huge difference doesn't it.Talk about

1:48:02 > 1:48:15that at Wimbledon every year, the movement is such a big factor.

1:48:59 > 1:49:04There is no way in a point like that that Bautista Agut is going to miss

1:49:04 > 1:49:08the tennis court, for Norrie to win that point, he needs to create

1:49:08 > 1:49:16something.He is a pepper grinder, isn't he.

1:50:16 > 1:50:24Just keeps building. On the lead. Keeping on the pressure.

1:50:33 > 1:50:37Total respect given to the opponents as well.

1:50:37 > 1:50:41He was, you think back to the start of this match, he was just having a

1:50:41 > 1:50:47look, what is Cameron Norrie going to bring to the party? It was almost

1:50:47 > 1:50:54like he was too much energy going down, he kind of forget about taking

1:50:54 > 1:50:58care of his own side. Probably... I mean if he was any more laid back at

1:50:58 > 1:51:11the start he would have been lying down, wouldn't he?Yes.

1:51:11 > 1:51:21Two sets, one love break in this third set.

1:51:21 > 1:51:26Nicely done.

1:51:37 > 1:51:50It is the most comfortable he has looked, chasing one of them.

1:52:21 > 1:52:26Brilliant.

1:52:29 > 1:52:34This is one of the first times I think Norrie has taken the Spaniard

1:52:34 > 1:52:46by surprise, he was totally moving the wrong way there.

1:52:53 > 1:53:00Interesting. No wonder the look down the court from Norrie there. It was

1:53:00 > 1:53:12gifted. Everyone is thinking who was that

1:53:12 > 1:53:27down the other end? Where did that come from?

1:53:59 > 1:54:05Six points in a row from nowhere.

1:55:10 > 1:55:15Norrie missed out a couple of steps around the ball there.

1:55:15 > 1:55:29Felt like it was a bit of a bad bounce. Certainly misjudged it.

1:56:13 > 1:56:18That might have hit 2 line. The umpire straight out of his chair.

1:56:18 > 1:56:27Yeah, you're right.

1:56:52 > 1:57:01It's got to be the way.Really well worked point.A lot of success when

1:57:01 > 1:57:06he's had his feet inside either on or inside the baseline and using his

1:57:06 > 1:57:11forehand to quick Tait the play. -- dictate the play.

1:57:41 > 1:57:48Well done. Two games in a row. Norrie leads 3-1, third set.

1:57:48 > 1:57:52SUE BARKER: Just to remind you we end our coverage here on BBC to in a

1:57:52 > 1:57:56couple of minutes but live coverage of this match will continue on theed

1:57:56 > 1:57:59are button and on the BBC sport website but for the next minute or

1:57:59 > 1:58:10so we will stay with it. -- the Red Button.

1:58:11 > 1:58:21Not sure what he was saying there, Leon Smith.

1:58:22 > 1:58:26Ain't inflammatory or something. Just asking the doctor.Gel or an

1:58:26 > 1:58:38ain't inflammatory. I'm not sure. -- anti-inflammatory.

1:58:40 > 1:58:46First time I saw them do that was in the final, I think it was of the

1:58:46 > 1:58:50Davis Cup, g Ghent. There was a lot of them there, there was a lot of

1:58:50 > 1:58:52shoes in the air. Ain't

1:58:52 > 1:58:55First time I saw them do that was in the final, I think it was of the

1:58:55 > 1:58:59Davis Cup, g Ghent. There was a lot of them there, there was a lot of

1:58:59 > 1:59:01shoes in the air. It was like "What's going on here? "They have

1:59:01 > 1:59:04been great fun, great support, there is no doubt. He is giving his all

1:59:04 > 1:59:08here, Cameron Norrie on his debut, Britain's number one, how does that

1:59:08 > 1:59:23sound for him on this day. Very proud day.

1:59:23 > 1:59:30Third set.

1:59:46 > 1:59:50SUE BARKER: I said we would have to end our coverage here on BBC Two
