0:00:42 > 0:00:48Today it is Jamie Murray and Dominic Inglot. I say the all-important

0:00:48 > 0:00:52doubles match because what happened yesterday, Liam Brodie stepped out

0:00:52 > 0:00:57onto court, played very well but lost in straight sets. Then out came

0:00:57 > 0:01:0022-year-old Cameron Norrie making his Davis Cup debut and a similar

0:01:00 > 0:01:04result looked likely as he was 2-0 down and a break of serve down and

0:01:04 > 0:01:07then this happened.

0:01:13 > 0:01:16COMMENTATOR: For the second time, Cameron Norrie, to the delight of

0:01:16 > 0:01:21his captain, breaks straight back. Definitely have to give Norrie a lot

0:01:21 > 0:01:25of credit in this third set. It would've been so easy to disappear.

0:01:25 > 0:01:36He has not done that. Is right back in this set. Stunning touch.

0:01:37 > 0:01:40in this set. Stunning touch. And what a way to get the break. Cameron

0:01:40 > 0:01:48Norrie will serve for set number three.

0:01:49 > 0:01:53three. Great Britain have been working hard for nearly five yards

0:01:53 > 0:01:57and they do have something to smile about. They've just taken their

0:01:57 > 0:02:05first set of the weekend. To visit effort. -- terrific effort for the

0:02:05 > 0:02:09nice. It's almost like he's trying to teach himself how to play on clay

0:02:09 > 0:02:20in this very match. It so good, so clinical. Great play.

0:02:20 > 0:02:23clinical. Great play. How is that for a hole? Three break points

0:02:23 > 0:02:34saved. He has got the break. He deserves it. Made it! The shot of

0:02:34 > 0:02:42the match? He is absolutely inspired just now. Amazing! He has got the

0:02:42 > 0:02:50double break in the fourth set. Would you believe it? Cameron Norrie

0:02:50 > 0:02:59has taken Roberto Bautista Agut the distance here.

0:02:59 > 0:03:02distance here. The thinking, let alone the execution, that's just too

0:03:02 > 0:03:08good.

0:03:08 > 0:03:11good. Three break points saved. How damaging could that be for his

0:03:11 > 0:03:20opponent? Norrie breaks. Amazing. The quality of the tennis right

0:03:20 > 0:03:31now... Norrie holds. Fall apart, full of guts. Plenty of big points

0:03:31 > 0:03:39in this matter. This maybe is the biggest so far.

0:03:39 > 0:03:43biggest so far. Norrie has got the double break. It is 5-2, final set.

0:03:43 > 0:03:48He will be wrapped in cotton wool if you get this done. He is making it

0:03:48 > 0:03:55look easy. Two match points.

0:03:59 > 0:04:06Has there ever been a better debut in the Davis Cup than that? Cameron

0:04:06 > 0:04:12Norrie, from 2-0 down, has won it to level the tie. A start has been born

0:04:12 > 0:04:21in Monday. Thanks to my team. The barmy Army up there. I looked at my

0:04:21 > 0:04:27forehand the whole match and just made a point by point. Obviously I

0:04:27 > 0:04:31was a little bit nervous. I'm really pumped with my efforts and it's

0:04:31 > 0:04:35given me a lot of confidence. I'm just stoked.I'm almost a little bit

0:04:35 > 0:04:42lost for words. They fight like hell. If the quality can come with

0:04:42 > 0:04:45that, we always said no matter what happened, if you win or lose there

0:04:45 > 0:04:49will be something to be gained from playing away in Spain. The

0:04:49 > 0:04:54clay-court against top 20 players. He's gained a lot more and he fully

0:04:54 > 0:04:57deserves every bit of praise he gets. There will be plenty of praise

0:04:57 > 0:05:05from the studio here. John, first of all, what a massive upset but what a

0:05:05 > 0:05:09great comeback. It was one of those matches where you are watching it

0:05:09 > 0:05:14and you can't believe what you are seeing. I was watching it thinking

0:05:14 > 0:05:19this can't be happening. It was brilliant. 2-0 down and the break

0:05:19 > 0:05:23against a world-class player on your debut, your first professional

0:05:23 > 0:05:26clay-court match, and it made him look like he was the class player

0:05:26 > 0:05:32and his opponent was a rank amateur. It was brilliant, as a performance.

0:05:32 > 0:05:35Jamie, you are watching not so closely. He just got better and

0:05:35 > 0:05:41better and no sign of nerves on his Davis Cup debut.Watching it back,

0:05:41 > 0:05:46it almost happened so quickly. At the end he ran away with it.

0:05:46 > 0:05:50Watching so many things you can talk about comments tactics about how he

0:05:50 > 0:05:54went about the match, they were spot-on and he executed it

0:05:54 > 0:05:57perfectly, but the main thing really, we heard him say it at the

0:05:57 > 0:06:01end, it felt like he was tougher. That an astonishing statement for

0:06:01 > 0:06:05your first match, and, to be honest, it's a massive positive sign of

0:06:05 > 0:06:10things to come and how he can, if he can put it in the gold box, and take

0:06:10 > 0:06:18it onto the tour, I don't

0:06:18 > 0:06:20it onto the tour, I don't think you can underestimate how powerful that

0:06:20 > 0:06:22will be for him going forward. Also he'd never played more than three

0:06:22 > 0:06:25sets. He's at the change of ends, how are you feeling, and he said he

0:06:25 > 0:06:29backs himself against this guy. No physical problems at all.Yes, he

0:06:29 > 0:06:33didn't sound cocky, he was just stating the fact that physically he

0:06:33 > 0:06:37was ready to go. He looked like he could play another two sets. The

0:06:37 > 0:06:41nerves, the tension of playing your first match on clay, your legs would

0:06:41 > 0:06:46feel it and he would start to get tired, but his opponent wilted

0:06:46 > 0:06:50fulfil it was staggering, what a performance. It's tough to put into

0:06:50 > 0:06:53words how great this was.A staggering performance will stop

0:06:53 > 0:06:57let's hear more from Leon Smith the British captain about this youngster

0:06:57 > 0:07:04was pulled off this massive upset. Above all, he had to show incredible

0:07:04 > 0:07:08hard and fight, 2-0 down, against someone that much higher ranked than

0:07:08 > 0:07:13you on a clay court, in their backyard, its first and foremost,

0:07:13 > 0:07:18you had to work extremely hard that's what he did. He just started

0:07:18 > 0:07:22a process, it was great, got the break back, to get back on serve,

0:07:22 > 0:07:26and then he built himself into the match and started dictating a lot of

0:07:26 > 0:07:31the points. I also think he invested well. A couple of very, very long

0:07:31 > 0:07:34rallies and he came out on top and he sent out a very good message he

0:07:34 > 0:07:39was physically ready to go the distance and he kept saying to me at

0:07:39 > 0:07:42the end, I backed myself physically, so that was giving them confidence

0:07:42 > 0:07:47that he could go deep in the match, and then, of course, not just your

0:07:47 > 0:07:51heart which has to take it, you have two plates brave tennis and executed

0:07:51 > 0:07:56and he did it well with his drop shots. A good sense of when to come

0:07:56 > 0:08:04forward and finish at the net, and everything was impressive. As he

0:08:04 > 0:08:08said, he took so much from the team and the barmy Army, as he called

0:08:08 > 0:08:12them, he's very much a team man having come through college tennis

0:08:12 > 0:08:16and relief arrived on the atmosphere. He did, use the energy

0:08:16 > 0:08:20in the crowd on the stadium, the whole experience is unbelievably

0:08:20 > 0:08:24well but that, yesterday, for me, it was a journey of beliefs also the

0:08:24 > 0:08:27start of the match really well and he thought he was in this match and

0:08:27 > 0:08:32then went through a dodgy spell when he last seven games in Rome and you

0:08:32 > 0:08:36thought all the belief was seeping out and you thought, OK, there's no

0:08:36 > 0:08:39way back but sure enough, step-by-step, point by point, he got

0:08:39 > 0:08:44a gift of a game at 1-0 in the third set which I think was the massive

0:08:44 > 0:08:50turning point in the match and from there on in it was flawless. The

0:08:50 > 0:08:54variety of his play combined with a heart was unbelievable to watch. If

0:08:54 > 0:08:58you wear captain, you were in that seat thinking of where the two

0:08:58 > 0:09:02captains are, you would rather be Leon Smith, wouldn't you because

0:09:02 > 0:09:06neither of his players played to their full ability? No, to be

0:09:06 > 0:09:12honest, in the first match, the Spanish player was shaky. If you

0:09:12 > 0:09:17look at Liam Broady, he had set points in the third set, and in the

0:09:17 > 0:09:21second match, I don't know what went wrong with him. To be honest I was

0:09:21 > 0:09:23surprised at the way the captain who was talking to the players

0:09:23 > 0:09:29particularly in the first match, and the captain was still have a go at

0:09:29 > 0:09:33him, and when you have got players ranked as high as they are, a

0:09:33 > 0:09:36captain, normally you don't say too much, you encourage sharing their

0:09:36 > 0:09:40thoughts when you have young players on the court, then you get into

0:09:40 > 0:09:46their heads and really help them but I thought he talked too much and I'm

0:09:46 > 0:09:51not sure the players liked it.It's always difficult playing a hungry

0:09:51 > 0:09:55young person as a top-ranked player and that's what happened with Liam

0:09:55 > 0:09:59and Cameron yesterday, so it means we are poised at 1-1 going into the

0:09:59 > 0:10:02second day of this type and the doubles, well, we're hoping so much

0:10:02 > 0:10:10for Jamie Murray and Dominic Inglot. They are up against Luciano Lopez

0:10:10 > 0:10:18and then tomorrow, they have got five players in the team and we

0:10:18 > 0:10:21don't know whether either will be used, the singles players who played

0:10:21 > 0:10:27yesterday. Maybe he will bring in Pablo Carreno Busta and David

0:10:27 > 0:10:30Ferrer. We haven't got a clue what's going to happen and no one will know

0:10:30 > 0:10:33until tomorrow because they don't have to let anybody know until one

0:10:33 > 0:10:37hour before play and it's going to be fascinating, isn't it?I think

0:10:37 > 0:10:40from Great Britain underboss point of view, it depends on what happens

0:10:40 > 0:10:44in this match and how Kyle Edmund is feeling fulfilled if we win the

0:10:44 > 0:10:49doubles and our 2-1 up, I would not be surprised to see Cameron Norrie

0:10:49 > 0:10:53staying in and then Kyle Edmund coming in to give as potentially the

0:10:53 > 0:10:57best chance of pulling out what would be an incredible upset. Nobody

0:10:57 > 0:11:01gave us a chance before the match started. When you look at all five

0:11:01 > 0:11:07players ranked inside the top 40, no chance, it just shows how amazing

0:11:07 > 0:11:11this competition is, so we're down to the doubles now and Jamie and

0:11:11 > 0:11:17Dominik are playing. Pablo Carreno Busta and Cristiano Lopez. We can

0:11:17 > 0:11:27hear from the British pair.He will be selling some cannons, Felly, and

0:11:27 > 0:11:30that will be making returns and putting the ball in court, so we

0:11:30 > 0:11:38will just have to find a way to manage it, but they haven't played

0:11:38 > 0:11:41together and that could be a bonus for us but these guys are

0:11:41 > 0:11:45exceptionally good and clay-court doubles is different to the standard

0:11:45 > 0:11:50faster called so you have to stay back a bit more and we will try to

0:11:50 > 0:11:54put our spin on things and hopefully come out successful. How do you

0:11:54 > 0:11:57prepare for this, Jamie come in terms of getting used to the clay?

0:11:57 > 0:12:02You haven't had much time to make that transition.I think the guys

0:12:02 > 0:12:05are in that situation coming back from Australia, playing a lot hotter

0:12:05 > 0:12:11weather, faster conditions, different balls, as well. Here it is

0:12:11 > 0:12:19quite cold. I think we still have a good game. I've had a good bit of

0:12:19 > 0:12:23success against those guys on clay before so I know what I can do that

0:12:23 > 0:12:27they don't like and maybe tried to do that on Saturday. And what don't

0:12:27 > 0:12:32they like? I suppose that's pouncing all over the net which is what he

0:12:32 > 0:12:36does so well, Jamie Murray.Yes, he's brilliant at that. Dominic

0:12:36 > 0:12:40Inglot goes for the big shots and Jamie polishes them off at the net.

0:12:40 > 0:12:44I think we are slight favourites in this match for them it will be a

0:12:44 > 0:12:50tough one, I think.Looking at the Spanish pair, Lopez, huge service,

0:12:50 > 0:12:54and Pablo Carreno Busta also was a tough player.Lopez has played

0:12:54 > 0:12:57doubles in the Davis Cup and have been playing here for many, many

0:12:57 > 0:13:00years but the British team will be trying to take time away from the

0:13:00 > 0:13:05Spaniards but Davis Cup doubles on clay will be a roller-coaster.Also

0:13:05 > 0:13:08thriving on the momentum of yesterday, so we already now for

0:13:08 > 0:13:13this doubles match and we can join it. It is just under way for the

0:13:13 > 0:13:16Jamie and John are on their way to the comedy box to join Chris Bradman

0:13:16 > 0:13:22and it's just in the first game of the match. All yours, Chris.

0:13:22 > 0:13:27COMMENTATOR: A shaky start in the first couple of points but an ace

0:13:27 > 0:13:42has got him to 15-30 in this opening game. Missed by a whisker.

0:13:42 > 0:13:44game. Missed by a whisker. Pablo Carreno Busta's first time they're

0:13:44 > 0:13:51playing together, the Spanish pair. Lopez is far more experienced. In

0:13:51 > 0:13:58Davis Cup.

0:14:15 > 0:14:25Great defence. Great atmosphere. Both sets of supporters. First break

0:14:25 > 0:14:33point.

0:15:04 > 0:15:10Didn't look shaky from Dominic Inglot who's been such a great team

0:15:10 > 0:15:14member over the years for Team GB. So often he's had to sit courtside

0:15:14 > 0:15:25for the entire weekend. He has won two of his Davis Cup rubbers. Both

0:15:25 > 0:15:31of them with Jamie Murray. The perfect start for the home side.

0:15:31 > 0:15:368000 seats. Pretty much packed.

0:16:50 > 0:16:54CROWD CHEERS

0:17:17 > 0:17:25Tensions running high. It's a huge match.

0:17:25 > 0:17:34The doubles always is.

0:17:43 > 0:17:4713 degrees. Jamie Murray looks freezing! Really wrapped up for

0:17:47 > 0:17:53this. I hope he has got... Maybe he's got an injury and is keeping

0:17:53 > 0:18:05warm but, fashion wise, come on, Jamie, really?

0:18:15 > 0:18:20Serving and staying back. Still difficult to get your head round

0:18:20 > 0:18:25that when you watch that in doubles with the server and stay back. But,

0:18:25 > 0:18:28on clay, it's effective.

0:18:39 > 0:18:46Murray quick to get into sees the net and break back the point.

0:19:36 > 0:19:42The home crowd is in much better voice.Yes, I think they realised

0:19:42 > 0:19:48that they got to try and make it look and feel like a home match

0:19:48 > 0:19:54yesterday. It didn't look that way at all.

0:19:54 > 0:19:58at all. It's always been pivotal, the doubles in Davis Cup, and to

0:19:58 > 0:20:02have a regular pay is such a fillip for nations, but not many do these

0:20:02 > 0:20:14days.Lopez was a mainstay of the Spanish team for years and years.

0:20:14 > 0:20:21Lopez played in the 2003 final. In 2017 he still playing tennis at the

0:20:21 > 0:20:27absolute highest level. Quite an achievement, isn't it?Yeah.

0:20:40 > 0:20:48Huge gap down Inglot's line.

0:20:48 > 0:20:51Lucky to get away with that.

0:21:00 > 0:21:05Ranked tenth in the world in singles, Pablo Carreno Busta, 78 in

0:21:05 > 0:21:10doubles. This is just his sixth Davis Cup rubber, in total. Strength

0:21:10 > 0:21:18in depth.

0:21:27 > 0:21:32A lefty playing on the right court for Spain.

0:22:33 > 0:22:40Love hold to get on the scoreboard. Obviously Jamie Murray and Dominic

0:22:40 > 0:22:48Inglot play doubles all the time but for the others, they played doubles

0:22:48 > 0:22:52too but not many of the top players do that any more.Yes, that is the

0:22:52 > 0:22:56pity, really. We would like to see more of the top players playing

0:22:56 > 0:23:01doubles but you just don't see it. In the Davis Cup, if you can get a

0:23:01 > 0:23:04partnership that plays a little bit regularly, it certainly helps and

0:23:04 > 0:23:08obviously it helps the United States for many years having the Bryan

0:23:08 > 0:23:14brothers.I wonder, there's so many reasons you could look at for that,

0:23:14 > 0:23:21aren't there? For the singles players. They have shortened doubles

0:23:21 > 0:23:26matches so you had the sudden death tie-break. That doesn't seem to have

0:23:26 > 0:23:30sparked any more activity from the top players. Is that because the

0:23:30 > 0:23:35prize money is not worth it for them against what they get in singles? Is

0:23:35 > 0:23:38it because there's just too many tournaments on the calendar? There's

0:23:38 > 0:23:43just a whole variety of reasons. It's certainly very different to

0:23:43 > 0:23:46when you were playing.Automatically would play singles and doubles. Yes,

0:23:46 > 0:23:50the first one who did not do it with Bjorn Borg, he was the first player

0:23:50 > 0:23:57who made it fashionable not to play doubles and then the trend continued

0:23:57 > 0:24:02from there unfortunately. So I blame Bjorn Borg. It's his fault!

0:24:11 > 0:24:16At least he gave us a few good decent singles matches to watch.

0:24:16 > 0:24:25Only a few. A few hundred.A few thousand.He could probably give

0:24:25 > 0:24:30some clothing to Jamie Murray now.

0:24:44 > 0:24:52That's class, that is. I love watching him serve. It is such a

0:24:52 > 0:24:57beautiful motion and he's one of the best volley is on the tour but that

0:24:57 > 0:25:03service motion was a fine volley hit to there. That's just about perfect

0:25:03 > 0:25:11technique to there. He is ranked 25 in the world, in doubles, Lopez.

0:25:11 > 0:25:21Played semis insofar -- in the Doha. Who lost to Murray. They got some

0:25:21 > 0:25:29recent history, those two.

0:25:31 > 0:25:43Solid, very solid. Is Busta the one to go to for breaks?I think he is

0:25:43 > 0:25:47one to go through at the net but stay away from Lopez when both

0:25:47 > 0:25:52players are a way at the net, that's for sure. That's who you pick your

0:25:52 > 0:25:57target against when there is a 50-50 ball.

0:26:20 > 0:26:24Wow!

0:26:26 > 0:26:31That's exactly what Dominic Inglot didn't want, having lost his serve

0:26:31 > 0:26:35in the first game but, importantly, he has a good confidence building

0:26:35 > 0:26:41game here just to get himself into the match.

0:26:56 > 0:27:01Such quick hands, Jamie. Unbelievable.Stays in so close to

0:27:01 > 0:27:05the net, as well. He picks it off that quickly. That is a major change

0:27:05 > 0:27:10in doubles, how close they stand, these days. They back themselves to

0:27:10 > 0:27:14get back. Very few players lob. Jamie Murray is one of the few

0:27:14 > 0:27:19players who lobs off the return of serve. They back themselves in

0:27:19 > 0:27:22opposition. Obviously much easier to volley when you are right on top of

0:27:22 > 0:27:26the net and they would rather come after a good first serve, see if you

0:27:26 > 0:27:36can lob me. I will take that chance.

0:27:59 > 0:28:03I always thought when you play doubles at this level, the first

0:28:03 > 0:28:09couple of games when you are returning I would go down the line

0:28:09 > 0:28:13on almost every return, just send a message out, because they are going

0:28:13 > 0:28:19to cross half the time anyway.

0:28:19 > 0:28:24It's better. A lot of the top doubles players who will actually

0:28:24 > 0:28:28see them do that, certainly right at the start, if I can go down the line

0:28:28 > 0:28:32and hit the tramlines I'm going to win quite a few points and if I can

0:28:32 > 0:28:38put a little bit of doubt on the net players over the net at the main

0:28:38 > 0:28:44part, then I have done a good job. Yes. The difference of first serve

0:28:44 > 0:28:50for Inglot. You consider yourself unlucky if you got a seat next to

0:28:50 > 0:28:54that, wouldn't you? LAUGHTER

0:28:54 > 0:28:58Is that I half price tickets? It would not be nice to have that for

0:28:58 > 0:29:04four hours!

0:29:04 > 0:29:07four hours! His new captain made an impression yesterday and had a lot

0:29:07 > 0:29:14to say. Leon Smith seem to keep what he was saying very simple. He spoke

0:29:14 > 0:29:20quite a bit, that it looked very well measured and he had two rookies

0:29:20 > 0:29:24playing. There is a difference but for me, when you have two

0:29:24 > 0:29:28experienced players and you are losing, they do different things,

0:29:28 > 0:29:31you do things to help, but you pretty much let the players manage

0:29:31 > 0:29:37themselves do give them little hints and there, but at the top 20, top 25

0:29:37 > 0:29:41players who been around for a number of years, I don't think they need

0:29:41 > 0:29:45too much chat over and over again and also it was the way he was doing

0:29:45 > 0:29:49it. It was not in a calm fashion. I don't know what he was saying

0:29:49 > 0:29:52because I don't speak Spanish unfortunately, but I thought he was

0:29:52 > 0:30:02a little bit too aggressive at times for me.

0:30:08 > 0:30:10Just the opening break in the opening game the difference between

0:30:10 > 0:30:14the two.

0:30:26 > 0:30:34There is that lob you talked about. He hasn't got it zeroed down.

0:30:34 > 0:30:39Probably they prefer somebody to serve and volley? I think they

0:30:39 > 0:30:45would. It is not easy on the clay, you have got to hit a very good

0:30:45 > 0:30:53volley.He made the final of the doubles in the US Open,

0:30:53 > 0:30:56Carreno-Busta.So he knows his way around.

0:31:10 > 0:31:20Super. Is he going to change his racket? Yeah. Maybe try to help the

0:31:20 > 0:31:30lob return.Hmm. Uses that well.

0:31:41 > 0:31:47The umpire's got to keep an eye on the net players, because they're

0:31:47 > 0:31:54virtually over it for the volley. Amazing.

0:32:06 > 0:32:14LAUGHTER. Wasn't sure about that one! Oh!

0:32:14 > 0:32:18Mrauz.

0:32:45 > 0:32:53They did well to get away with that point. That was great play from

0:32:53 > 0:33:00Inglot. Perfect tactics. Shows you how tough it is even on the doubles

0:33:00 > 0:33:09court to put the ball away on clay. Jamie still hasn't got the lob

0:33:09 > 0:33:17working yet. Hasn't got the range.

0:33:21 > 0:33:23I want that one!

0:33:32 > 0:33:37Backhand return is normally more solid for Jamie Murray. His forehand

0:33:37 > 0:33:45he has managed to, how can I put? Disguise the fact, he has built his

0:33:45 > 0:33:50game around the backhand side and the forehand he used that bumped

0:33:50 > 0:33:53forehand and takes a short swing. But he can't come over the ball on

0:33:53 > 0:34:02the forehand side.

0:34:50 > 0:34:55Too good.

0:36:18 > 0:36:24Surprising miss there. Looked at the court as if it was a bad bounce.

0:36:24 > 0:36:27That second serve was right in his hitting zone there, shouldn't have

0:36:27 > 0:36:37missed that one.

0:36:49 > 0:37:01What an angle. If there was one place I didn't think he would do go

0:37:01 > 0:37:06for. I thought he would play safe and he goes for the tram line. Look

0:37:06 > 0:37:13at the court there. Boom!Good thing that angle existed.

0:37:19 > 0:37:29That is a fabulous volley. It is much sharper now than at the start.

0:37:29 > 0:37:34Tactics are now clear. When you have a guy serving and staying back, does

0:37:34 > 0:37:38that make you feel, come on, we have got to break this guy? How tough is

0:37:38 > 0:37:45it?For me, it can be really tough. Particularly on clay. The problem is

0:37:45 > 0:37:51if you don't hit a good enough approach shot, these players are so

0:37:51 > 0:37:58good from the baseline, on the clay it gives them extra time to prepare.

0:37:58 > 0:38:01They will hit dipping shots and it is difficult. I think they would

0:38:01 > 0:38:07prefer to have someone stay back, where they can at least chip and

0:38:07 > 0:38:12come in and rather than somebody who is serve and volleying. Maybe they

0:38:12 > 0:38:17have

0:38:20 > 0:38:24have got a good combination with Lopez and Carreno-Busta.It depend

0:38:24 > 0:38:29on the opponent. For Jamie and Dom, they want to get forward and it

0:38:29 > 0:38:34gives them territory to go after and if they execute well, they will get

0:38:34 > 0:38:38some success from that. If you had somebody of the ground strokes

0:38:38 > 0:38:42quality of an Andy Murray for example, he would love to see

0:38:42 > 0:38:46somebody serve and volleying who is not good at the net. Because I'm

0:38:46 > 0:38:52going to dip and toy with you and keep doing it.New balls for Lopez.

0:38:52 > 0:38:544-3.

0:39:04 > 0:39:10That being the prime example. If you had two singles players with that

0:39:10 > 0:39:15second ball, they would almost never be missing that.

0:39:53 > 0:39:57Only lost two points on serve since that tough hold from Carreno-Busta,

0:39:57 > 0:40:06the second game of the set. The regular coaches courtside.

0:40:47 > 0:40:53At the moment, the British pair are not hurting the Spanish team at all

0:40:53 > 0:40:58on the return of serve. There's nothing coming at them at all. It is

0:40:58 > 0:41:03almost like they're in two minds. Jamie's lobbying a lot. Doesn't look

0:41:03 > 0:41:09like he has the confidence to come over the ball. Dom Inglot has hit a

0:41:09 > 0:41:14couple of good ones, but not consistent enough.

0:41:25 > 0:41:29Dom Inglot would like to get a higher percentage of first serves in

0:41:29 > 0:41:35as well. The vast majority have been missing in the net. So he is not

0:41:35 > 0:41:40reaching up to the ball and pulling down quickly. The Spanish pair have

0:41:40 > 0:41:46only hit four second serves between them. There he tried to slow it up

0:41:46 > 0:41:51to get the first serve in. Then you take the risk of a good return of

0:41:51 > 0:41:59serve coming at you.

0:42:19 > 0:42:21Standing back for the second serve too.

0:42:27 > 0:42:36Oh!The net caughts could go anywhere. Could have bounced up into

0:42:36 > 0:42:44a nice position to smack it away. But that one, no, the old wrong-foot

0:42:44 > 0:42:45net caught.

0:42:53 > 0:43:02It is a big serve. He is six foot five. When it does go in. There is

0:43:02 > 0:43:06not too much difference between the first and second serve in terms of

0:43:06 > 0:43:12pace.

0:43:32 > 0:43:40Will he play tomorrow?

0:43:48 > 0:43:54Carreno-Busta is the one they have come closest to breaking.I think

0:43:54 > 0:43:59John's right. The British team have started OK. It is just the rhythm on

0:43:59 > 0:44:04return of serve. It would be good to get, obviously this is a critical

0:44:04 > 0:44:08game coming up, but in the context of the match, it would be good to

0:44:08 > 0:44:12get a couple of games where they get into every single point and make

0:44:12 > 0:44:18them play a few more balls. It is not like the Spanish team are

0:44:18 > 0:44:24serving aces. On clay you tend to get a chance to get your racket on

0:44:24 > 0:44:29the ball.Is the trick not to block the return to the server on the

0:44:29 > 0:44:34baseline, but hit a hard return and keep it low to make it awkward.

0:44:34 > 0:44:41Tactically what do they do?That is what Jamie Murray's tactic on his

0:44:41 > 0:44:45front fear hand, yes, he is thinking about the direction of it. But the

0:44:45 > 0:44:49damage of that shot, because it is so low over the net. Even if the net

0:44:49 > 0:44:53player tries to do something, he whats no time to -- he has no time

0:44:53 > 0:45:02to react.Serving for the set can change things too.Absolutely.A

0:45:02 > 0:45:07little caption adds a bit pressure.

0:45:33 > 0:45:43Very solid there. When Jamie Murray was talking I can do a few things

0:45:43 > 0:45:48they won't like, that is an example, a block return, followed by coming

0:45:48 > 0:45:51into the net. Not many players do that.

0:46:21 > 0:46:29Good hands. Very good hands there from Inglot. Inglot on the return of

0:46:29 > 0:46:34serve can be streaky and miss four or five in a row and then hit three

0:46:34 > 0:46:40Clyne winners. -- clean winners. Now is the time you hope. Jamie has set

0:46:40 > 0:46:44him up well. He needs a return of serve here.

0:47:30 > 0:47:37Oh, what a volley. What a volley.

0:47:40 > 0:47:47Set point, Spain.If Carreno-Busta had had to hit that shot he wouldn't

0:47:47 > 0:47:58have made it. But Lopez opened up that racket face enough.

0:48:08 > 0:48:13He practices for hours at the net, with players just nailing balls as

0:48:13 > 0:48:22hard as they can at Jamie Murray for 20 minutes or so - for this. A

0:48:22 > 0:48:27phenomenally quick reactions. He would see that as routine. That

0:48:27 > 0:48:35wasn't even a routine reaction.

0:48:43 > 0:48:51Second set point.

0:48:57 > 0:49:00Just the one break in the opening game of the set, it is enough for

0:49:00 > 0:49:07Spain to take it after 35 minutes. STUDIO: We will be right back with

0:49:07 > 0:49:12this match. But what is happening elsewhere in the world group in

0:49:12 > 0:49:142018?

0:49:16 > 0:49:28France are facing the Netherlands. Gasquet defeated Haas yesterday.

0:49:29 > 0:49:41They're 1-1 at moment. In Japan, Italy are 2-1 up up. The winner of

0:49:41 > 0:49:51Great Britain and Spain will play the winner of Australia and Germany

0:49:51 > 0:50:01and it is advantage Germany. Kazakhstan have defeated

0:50:01 > 0:50:08Switzerland, who are without Roger Federer.

0:50:08 > 0:50:14Federer. Marin Cilic is on court today. But Korea have lost the

0:50:14 > 0:50:20opening set 6-2. The United States against Serbia, United States are

0:50:20 > 0:50:362-0 up. The doubles match today. No Bryan brothers any more.

0:50:36 > 0:50:41Bryan brothers any more. Serbia's top player is playing. Belgium are

0:50:41 > 0:50:47in control against Hungary.

0:50:48 > 0:50:51in control against Hungary. We will keep you up-to-date. Now back to

0:50:51 > 0:50:55Marbella.

0:50:55 > 0:51:00COMMENTATOR: Pretty tight first set. Nothing to get too alarmed about.

0:51:00 > 0:51:05No, just a shaky first service game. After that, the British team always

0:51:05 > 0:51:11looked comfort yak on their serve. Had a couple of mini-chances against

0:51:11 > 0:51:17the... Carreno-Busta serve. They're in that set, if they can combine

0:51:17 > 0:51:23better on the return of serve. It is a bit up and down. They are still

0:51:23 > 0:51:30capable of pulling back this match.

0:51:30 > 0:51:35Staying at the same end for serve, Britain, it helps with the sun

0:51:35 > 0:51:46having a lefty and a righty. For both pairs.

0:53:23 > 0:53:26Not sure that any player on the court at the moment is returning

0:53:26 > 0:53:30well. The standard of returning has not been great. The court is pretty

0:53:30 > 0:53:35slow as well.

0:53:38 > 0:53:43I was expecting a lot more balls in court than we have seen off all four

0:53:43 > 0:53:52serves. I'm sure that will improve though.

0:53:57 > 0:54:02There was a bit of advice on Inglot's return of serve - stay

0:54:02 > 0:54:09lower. You're coming upright too soon.Horrible feeling if you're not

0:54:09 > 0:54:13returning as well as your partner, you feel like you're letting them

0:54:13 > 0:54:19down. Specially when you're playing left court. Jamie's always played

0:54:19 > 0:54:28right court, being a lefty.Yeah.

0:54:36 > 0:54:43It is a small thing, but it can make a big difference in these matches,

0:54:43 > 0:54:49the scoreboard pressure - if the British team can hold their serve,

0:54:49 > 0:54:55keep their noses in front, the Spanish team have more settle into

0:54:55 > 0:54:58the match in the first set, because they had the breathing space from

0:54:58 > 0:55:01the start.

0:55:08 > 0:55:13They both stands back for Inglot's return and just lob the return high.

0:55:13 > 0:55:23He has to start making a few more than he is at the moment.

0:55:29 > 0:55:35That is brilliant. It is not a forehand volley you would teach, but

0:55:35 > 0:55:40it is a bit like John McEnroe's forehand volley. I wouldn't say it

0:55:40 > 0:55:55wassed a good as. But -- it was as good as. But he hits it really well.

0:56:33 > 0:56:40An excellent second serve.

0:56:43 > 0:56:53Only lost one point behind the second serve.

0:57:09 > 0:57:12That may give Inglot some confidence, three very good

0:57:12 > 0:57:18backhands there and he stayed low on all of them.

0:57:21 > 0:57:27When he sets himself on those ground strokes, he does have a lot of power

0:57:27 > 0:57:38and he can trouble anybody. It is that magic word - consistency.

0:57:49 > 0:57:54He normally is so good at that lob return. He hasn't really made one

0:57:54 > 0:58:03yet.Interesting they are both back for Jamie's return, but Jamie goes

0:58:03 > 0:58:07in for Inglot's return. Something's behind that.

0:58:26 > 0:58:31That wasn't a bad game for the British team. But Inglot looked like

0:58:31 > 0:58:39he got a bit more rhythm back on the return.Good to love Davis Cup

0:58:39 > 0:58:43crowds - the atmosphere. Individual tournaments, they're not all going

0:58:43 > 0:58:47to turn up all the time.I don't know why they only turned up on

0:58:47 > 0:58:53Saturday. The Spanish team needed them yet. Yesterday was like being

0:58:53 > 0:58:55at home in Britain.

0:59:44 > 1:00:00Is the mark being looked at? It is out.I'm not sure that is the right

1:00:00 > 1:00:05mark, is it?

1:00:20 > 1:00:28A double fault it is.

1:00:36 > 1:00:40Pressure again on the Inglot serve.

1:01:05 > 1:01:09It is the great thing about clay-court tennis. More often than

1:01:09 > 1:01:13not, no matter how big your service, you're probably not going to be able

1:01:13 > 1:01:18to serve your way out of trouble. You have to step up at every point

1:01:18 > 1:01:23and be prepared for a battle. He should take a bit of his first serve

1:01:23 > 1:01:29and put some more spin on it then?I think that is one way he could go.

1:01:29 > 1:01:36He has got a good kick-serve. Dropping some pace would be

1:01:36 > 1:01:39effective on this court. It just puts pressure on your second serve

1:01:39 > 1:01:44if you are missing a lot of firsts. Twitches shoulders, he served a

1:01:44 > 1:01:53double fault at the start of the match.

1:02:28 > 1:02:35It is all Spain so far in the doubles rubber.

1:02:35 > 1:02:45doubles rubber. And early break again. Against the Inglot serve.

1:02:45 > 1:02:49Jamie Murray got tangled up on that volley and whether he lost sight of

1:02:49 > 1:02:54the returns slightly. With Dominic Inglot, whether it is nervous or

1:02:54 > 1:02:59tension or the environment, he has not quite settled into a comfortable

1:02:59 > 1:03:04rhythm to play his best tennis yet. The trouble is, when that happens

1:03:04 > 1:03:08and your partner is often a little bit, the tendency is you try little

1:03:08 > 1:03:12bit too much yourself and with Jamie, the pressure is on him. He

1:03:12 > 1:03:17has to keep making more the returns and all of a sudden his game drops a

1:03:17 > 1:03:23little bit as well. It is that little balance and they haven't got

1:03:23 > 1:03:26it right yet. They have got to have faith they can turn it around. I

1:03:26 > 1:03:31still think they can break the Spaniard's serve. At the moment, it

1:03:31 > 1:03:35is taking care of business and holding their own serve which

1:03:35 > 1:03:40Dominic at the moment has not felt comfortable. He has spent a lot of

1:03:40 > 1:03:44time in his Davis Cup career being on the bench for three days,

1:03:44 > 1:03:47probably wondering what it is like to be out there playing in the

1:03:47 > 1:03:53cauldron. A great team member. He has played some good matches as

1:03:53 > 1:03:58well.

1:03:59 > 1:04:02well. He was the best player on the court against Serbia.

1:04:29 > 1:04:36It is so important he keeps his eye on the exact Mark! They are

1:04:36 > 1:04:42replaying the point, I presume.They all agreed it was out.I think the

1:04:42 > 1:04:47Spanish have given it, they said it was in. That should never be a

1:04:47 > 1:04:53replay though, the point was over. They have given the point. Or have

1:04:53 > 1:05:05they? There is some confusion here.

1:05:11 > 1:05:17I wouldn't mind seeing the replay of that.

1:05:46 > 1:05:51This is also where Jamie Murray, with his experience, he has got to

1:05:51 > 1:05:55be the captain on court the moment. They have got Leon Smith the captain

1:05:55 > 1:05:59when they have the changeovers, but you need to have someone who takes

1:05:59 > 1:06:04charge in the pairing. At the moment Dominic Inglot is not there. The

1:06:04 > 1:06:15points go quick and some panic sets in. You have got to calm it down.

1:06:15 > 1:06:23He is having a good chat with him now.

1:06:27 > 1:06:31There are still a lot of tennis to be played here. They will

1:06:31 > 1:06:35manufacture some opportunities but they do not want to be too far out

1:06:35 > 1:06:41of sight when that happens.

1:07:18 > 1:07:26Beaten for pace if that is in. 3-1 it is.

1:07:31 > 1:07:36A terrific start for Spain. So fired up at the start of this. The crowd

1:07:36 > 1:07:41are fired up as well. It is like they were determined to win this

1:07:41 > 1:07:45match as well, the crowd. And the evidence at the moment with the way

1:07:45 > 1:07:49they are playing, I would say Carreno Busta is going to be playing

1:07:49 > 1:07:51singles tomorrow.

1:07:56 > 1:07:58And he may not be.

1:08:09 > 1:08:17A super point. Quick wheels from Dom in block to get back for that one.

1:08:17 > 1:08:22That was a good log. -- Dom Inglot.

1:08:28 > 1:08:33Tomorrow is going to be fascinating. No one has a clue what will happen.

1:08:33 > 1:08:45No one has a clue who will play. What number they might play!

1:08:52 > 1:08:57Jamie is saying that is not the right mark.Carlos Ramos is saying

1:08:57 > 1:09:03the board is good.

1:09:05 > 1:09:10the board is good.Lopez has now got rid of the mark. He is saying, sorry

1:09:10 > 1:09:21I got that one wrong. Yes, you did. A good laugh though. It was a very

1:09:21 > 1:09:26good bluff. -- bluff. They want the point.

1:09:32 > 1:09:36UMPIRE:Replay the point.

1:09:42 > 1:09:47He is not quite sure, Ramos here. He has looked a bit doubtful umpiring

1:09:47 > 1:09:52this.

1:09:52 > 1:09:56this. What we would all love to see is a replay and sort it out.

1:09:56 > 1:10:01Everyone is relying on their memory of what happened in that point. What

1:10:01 > 1:10:06did happen?I don't know!It was half an hour ago.

1:10:12 > 1:10:16They are going back for another chat here.I think you might have

1:10:16 > 1:10:24convinced him!

1:10:26 > 1:10:34What has the other fellow got to do with it? No idea.He must be asking

1:10:34 > 1:10:41when he called the ball.He the lines person, OK. I hope he has got

1:10:41 > 1:10:50a good memory.

1:11:38 > 1:11:44He didn't get there very quickly for that one, Jamie Murray. They are

1:11:44 > 1:11:52returning much better. The first set he did not make many returns of

1:11:52 > 1:11:55serve stop you were expecting them to get hold of the service and now

1:11:55 > 1:12:00it looks like they are finding the rhythm. This is a danger time right

1:12:00 > 1:12:09now.So good.

1:12:13 > 1:12:18More break points.This was definitely a point, the class of

1:12:18 > 1:12:27someone who is in the top ten in the world. A lot of pace on that one.A

1:12:27 > 1:12:29semifinalist in New York last year.

1:12:43 > 1:12:47Kevin Anderson, the surprise package.

1:12:54 > 1:12:56This is another virtual set point here.

1:13:07 > 1:13:15Another one close.Luckett was called out.

1:13:19 > 1:13:26A great body serve there. That was one heck of a serve, considering the

1:13:26 > 1:13:30importance of that point. That felt like it was about ten miles an hour

1:13:30 > 1:13:37faster than most of his second service. He really went for that.

1:13:37 > 1:13:39That is the pressure the Spanish pair are now putting on these

1:13:39 > 1:13:45returns of serve.

1:14:19 > 1:14:24I was about to say a few minutes ago the British team looked like they

1:14:24 > 1:14:29need a moment, a bit of inspiration, something to fire them up and get

1:14:29 > 1:14:33some energy. I wonder if they get out of this game, whether that will

1:14:33 > 1:14:41spark something.

1:14:45 > 1:14:49It is amazing how many of those bodies Murray makes. Look how long

1:14:49 > 1:15:01the swing is -- how many of those volleys he makes.

1:15:07 > 1:15:19Great. Can that inspire. Quite a roar from Murray.

1:15:19 > 1:15:21roar from Murray. They had known a mentor Matt the start of the match

1:15:21 > 1:15:26when they got broken in the first game. -- they had no momentum from

1:15:26 > 1:15:36the start of the match.I'm thinking about that serve at 30-40. You heard

1:15:36 > 1:15:40a shout from Murray but he knows one break on clay, that is nothing. Two

1:15:40 > 1:15:49breaks, you are done.They are still talking about the returns.It is a

1:15:49 > 1:15:54very fine balance because Dom Inglot knows more than anyone else, that he

1:15:54 > 1:15:59is not making enough returns. He can feel it himself, trying so hard to

1:15:59 > 1:16:03do something about it. As a captain and partner, if you are constantly

1:16:03 > 1:16:08meant to do a bit of this, and a bit of that, it is like, OK guys, I am

1:16:08 > 1:16:13trying to

1:16:16 > 1:16:20trying to figure it out.It is a fine balance will stop you want to

1:16:20 > 1:16:22make a return, don't worry about them, just make one somehow.

1:16:22 > 1:16:32Remember your technique, you do not want to think too much about it.

1:16:40 > 1:16:48Three men haven't been broken yet.

1:16:55 > 1:17:07Should have made that. That was a good chance there.

1:17:39 > 1:17:43A couple of lobs have drifted that way. I wonder if there is a bit of

1:17:43 > 1:17:54wind.That is impressive.

1:18:12 > 1:18:16There were Lopez, it is very good serve there but the thing with

1:18:16 > 1:18:26Carreno Busta, very rarely crosses. You have actually got a fair bit of

1:18:26 > 1:18:30the court to a mat on these returns. The other way round when Carreno

1:18:30 > 1:18:35Busta is serving, Lopez does cross a lot more. The return of serve you

1:18:35 > 1:18:39have to think about a bit more. I'm surprised the British pair are not

1:18:39 > 1:18:48returning more service into court against Lopez.

1:19:30 > 1:19:38What a shock to go for! He just served a double fault. It's sort of

1:19:38 > 1:19:43hung for a while, didn't it? I didn't realise he had that much

1:19:43 > 1:19:52feel. Beautiful shot.

1:20:02 > 1:20:08They are after Inglot again. Look at the eyes. The difference is the

1:20:08 > 1:20:18return. They are making the British pair play almost every ball.

1:20:50 > 1:20:54Another insurance point here.

1:21:20 > 1:21:32So good! That was a tremendous point.

1:21:32 > 1:21:37point. They are hanging in literally right here. The Spanish team focused

1:21:37 > 1:21:40on the wrong man at the net there.

1:21:59 > 1:22:06Again, two doubles in a game for Inglot.

1:22:06 > 1:22:11Inglot. His first serve percentage is letting him down.

1:22:42 > 1:22:49That is a let off from a second serve out. Carreno Busta has not

1:22:49 > 1:22:53missed a point for a long time. At the moment it feels like the Spanish

1:22:53 > 1:22:59are way on top, they have tonnes of breathing room but how quickly have

1:22:59 > 1:23:12we seen matches change? Yesterday was a prime example.Oh, boy.That

1:23:12 > 1:23:17was a poor volley there, that was in the middle of the net. Took a big

1:23:17 > 1:23:28swing on that one. Just dragged that ball down.

1:23:46 > 1:23:59Although could do was stand and watch. Didn't miss by that much.

1:24:03 > 1:24:11Has he made that?Lopez is probably saying I have won six points in a

1:24:11 > 1:24:17row, any chance you can win one? My shoulders are getting a bit sore.He

1:24:17 > 1:24:23took the pace of Inglot there. He has tried to mix it up.

1:24:44 > 1:24:55That is gutsy. It is a big second serve. I guess that is the reason

1:24:55 > 1:25:06why he hits some doubles, he goes for it.He does not hold back.

1:25:18 > 1:25:24That was well watched from Inglot. I was not clear until the last minute

1:25:24 > 1:25:28whether Jamie Murray would take that one. It was the right decision.

1:25:34 > 1:25:45Well held. That is a huge lift for the British pair there. They should

1:25:45 > 1:25:58really be down two sets to love already by now.

1:26:00 > 1:26:04I wonder whether Leon Smith will continue to talk about the return or

1:26:04 > 1:26:08focus on other things and take the pressure away. They are having a

1:26:08 > 1:26:18party, whatever happens. They are in Marbella, why not?

1:26:18 > 1:26:23Marbella, why not?The sun is shining.

1:26:24 > 1:26:28shining. It is an interesting one for Leon, tactically with this

1:26:28 > 1:26:34match. Because when you are down and it has relatively speaking been

1:26:34 > 1:26:38one-way traffic, there is a tendency to start to think of different

1:26:38 > 1:26:44things to do to change things up. But actually, it is not like their

1:26:44 > 1:26:48plan A, they have been doing really well and it has worked. It is almost

1:26:48 > 1:26:54like they need to go back to basics and say, no, if we execute how we

1:26:54 > 1:26:59think we can on Plan A, then we do think it will cause a bit of

1:26:59 > 1:27:03trouble. It is a balance between not panicking and feeling like you have

1:27:03 > 1:27:06to do something different, and finding a way to get your game on

1:27:06 > 1:27:11court.

1:27:11 > 1:27:21court.Said Carreno Busta, he is the one who offered up a break point.

1:27:31 > 1:27:36I think Jamie wanted that one! He did not push in out of the way but

1:27:36 > 1:27:42it was as good as!He was on his way.It was a good return at the

1:27:42 > 1:27:49start.

1:28:30 > 1:28:34Oh, the top of the net!

1:29:14 > 1:29:22Inglot has not tried to lob once.

1:29:30 > 1:29:35So good by comparison. That just makes it even worse for Inglot, to

1:29:35 > 1:29:42see a return like that! Should Jamie stand back and just get the lob up

1:29:42 > 1:29:45high? Do something different?

1:30:01 > 1:30:04The pattern continues.

1:30:12 > 1:30:15Puente,Dom Inglot tried to hit the return four feet inside the baseline

1:30:15 > 1:30:20on the the rise. The timing has to be good. When you're playing well,

1:30:20 > 1:30:24great, but it's not. Maybe stand back two or three feet on the return

1:30:24 > 1:30:30and give himself a split second more time. The other tactics at the

1:30:30 > 1:30:32moment is just not working.

1:31:06 > 1:31:14Well played and nothing wrong with that defensive lob.Very good.An

1:31:14 > 1:31:19example of the pace he has on that forehand. He got his whole frame

1:31:19 > 1:31:30behind that one as well.

1:31:40 > 1:31:47Lopez has returned a lot better than his partner. He is may making the

1:31:47 > 1:31:56most of the returns on their side.

1:33:16 > 1:33:25Did well, that was awkward.Love hold.

1:33:25 > 1:33:37hold. Here we are again.Well... Don't try and jump into the return.

1:33:37 > 1:33:47I think that is what he was saying. Yeah. That is the sort of shots he

1:33:47 > 1:33:51is talking about, when you're playing well and you're seeing the

1:33:51 > 1:33:56ball like a football. But he is not. So hang back a bit, give yourself a

1:33:56 > 1:34:02bit more time. As Jamie said this is looking easy on paper, but they

1:34:02 > 1:34:09should have had two other breaks and it should be all over. A couple of

1:34:09 > 1:34:12points, an inspirational point here and the Spanish team could get tight

1:34:12 > 1:34:17and things could change quickly. Doesn't look good at the moment, but

1:34:17 > 1:34:26anything can happen.

1:34:26 > 1:34:30anything can happen.V Lopez will be the one to serve it out. He has only

1:34:30 > 1:34:39lost five points on serve so far. One of those a double fault.Yeah.

1:34:42 > 1:34:45Serving for a two-set lead.

1:34:55 > 1:34:59Terrific start.

1:35:37 > 1:35:42Terrific serving isn't it.It is such a good serve. It is so

1:35:42 > 1:35:48difficult to read.He really throws the ball over his head and can ping

1:35:48 > 1:35:59it in any direction.Champion at Queen's last year.

1:36:14 > 1:36:24Now then... Didn't have much of a chance on the last serve, Dom

1:36:24 > 1:36:32Inglot. Maybe this one he will get a chance to take a swing at it.

1:36:41 > 1:36:46He tried standing further back.At least he made them play.

1:36:46 > 1:37:00Unfortunately the direction wasn't very good.Two set points.

1:37:09 > 1:37:12Good return again from Jamie Murray. He has returned very well in this

1:37:12 > 1:37:16match.Very well.

1:37:46 > 1:37:51Murray and Inglot have got to do a Norrie - they have got to win from

1:37:51 > 1:37:54two sets down. STUDIO: At least we know it is

1:37:54 > 1:38:00possible. But Spain are looking solid. Very much in the driving

1:38:00 > 1:38:07seat, two lets to love up. That would put them 2-1 up in the tie.

1:38:07 > 1:38:10This what is we have been talking about all day, who would play

1:38:10 > 1:38:17tomorrow. Because Kyle Edmund, will he deem himself fit? The Davis Cup

1:38:17 > 1:38:22has changed the rules and five players are named in each team so,

1:38:22 > 1:38:33you can make changes and you feel Spain will make changes. You're sure

1:38:33 > 1:38:39Carreno-Busta will come into one of the singles matches. So much to talk

1:38:39 > 1:38:44about, whatever is play -- whoever is playing we will have that match

1:38:44 > 1:38:49for you tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Our live coverage will be

1:38:49 > 1:38:5910 o'clock on BBC Two. Heading back to this match and Chris, how do Leon

1:38:59 > 1:39:05and Jamie deal when you have player who isn't playing at his best, how

1:39:05 > 1:39:12during the match can you change it? Doo you keep it simple? It is just

1:39:12 > 1:39:16very hard for Leon and Jamie to get him to lift his game. Which he has

1:39:16 > 1:39:24got to do. Because the Spaniards will be targeting him?Exactly, at

1:39:24 > 1:39:28the moment Jamie has returned very well. Inglot's percentage is so

1:39:28 > 1:39:34poor. You can see what Leon was saying, stand back, give yourself

1:39:34 > 1:39:38more of a chance to have a swing at it. He at least got two returns

1:39:38 > 1:39:42back. Unfortunately he hit them straight to Carreno-Busta. I think

1:39:42 > 1:39:47that is the way to do it. Just try and get a bit of rhythm back and

1:39:47 > 1:39:52then be more aggressive. You can't win if you can't return the ball

1:39:52 > 1:39:56back into court. But they have got to take care of their own business

1:39:56 > 1:40:01and hold their serve. I still believe that they're going to get a

1:40:01 > 1:40:05chance to break at some stage. I still think they can do this. It is

1:40:05 > 1:40:10a long way back though that is for sure.Holding serve, we have seen

1:40:10 > 1:40:14Dom has given away so many cheap points, you talk about that, he

1:40:14 > 1:40:19wants to hit the big serves, do you think maybe he should take a bit of

1:40:19 > 1:40:25pace off and get a higher percentage in? He has got to at least get in

1:40:25 > 1:40:29the point.I would like him to do that. If Dom takes a bit off his

1:40:29 > 1:40:33serve, it is still huge. But he doesn't seem to have that in his

1:40:33 > 1:40:37make up. He keeps on going for the big second serve and the confidence

1:40:37 > 1:40:45is just not there. I would like to see him get a higher percentage of

1:40:45 > 1:40:51first serves in, slow it down by 10mph and it will still be a

1:40:51 > 1:40:58difficult serve to play against. COMMENTATOR: Cameron Norrie created

1:40:58 > 1:41:06some her Ree wick -- heroics yesterday. It will be interesting to

1:41:06 > 1:41:09see if Dom Inglot can turn it around. He looks like he has gone

1:41:09 > 1:41:15into a shell. When he sits down, his eyes are distant, I'm not returning

1:41:15 > 1:41:22well, Jamie is. He can't snap out of it.The other thing worth

1:41:22 > 1:41:27mentioning, the tactical side of things is one element. Let's not

1:41:27 > 1:41:32forget, the Davis Cup competition is a team competition, but in singles

1:41:32 > 1:41:36you're out by yourself. Doubles is a team game. In terms of what is going

1:41:36 > 1:41:41on in between the points and the energy he is getting from Jamie and

1:41:41 > 1:41:45Leon, it is important that he is getting nothing but positive energy

1:41:45 > 1:41:50and they take this one point at a time. If he feels there any any type

1:41:50 > 1:41:55of negotiation televisionty or tension or -- negativity or the heat

1:41:55 > 1:41:59on the back of his head because the eyes are burning into him, it won't

1:41:59 > 1:42:06help.It is loom like if you -- like if you miss a ball, don't worry,

1:42:06 > 1:42:11keep believing. If you get too much other, say too much other than that

1:42:11 > 1:42:20it will keep entering his head how badly he has been playing.

1:42:20 > 1:42:33At the end of the day, there is only two breaks of serve in the match.

1:42:36 > 1:42:40This is a vote of confidence in itself that he is serving first in

1:42:40 > 1:42:45the set. I don't know whether the sun's an issue, with the lefty and

1:42:45 > 1:42:55the righty. They had the option for Jamie to serve first there.

1:43:26 > 1:43:32By far his easiest service game. Good start. He did slow his first

1:43:32 > 1:43:37serve speed down in that game as well.I know I have laboured the

1:43:37 > 1:43:42point, but how about the idea of just hitting a defensive high lob

1:43:42 > 1:43:52for Inglot to at least make them pl smashes. We saw one defensive lobby

1:43:52 > 1:43:56and they struggled to put it away. It is difficult to have a tactic

1:43:56 > 1:44:00that way, to think of lobbing. I think he has got to think more of

1:44:00 > 1:44:04staying back like in that last game and getting some returns back and

1:44:04 > 1:44:10making sure the direction is better. I think that is more of the play.

1:44:27 > 1:44:33I do think that Carreno-Busta, he is the man to go at on any 50/50 shot.

1:44:33 > 1:44:39Lopez is the best player on the court today, followed closely by

1:44:39 > 1:44:42Jamie Murray.

1:44:54 > 1:45:07Yes, it's in.Why is Lopez checking it out?That was a let!Why was

1:45:07 > 1:45:11Carlos Ramos getting out of the chair then?

1:45:18 > 1:45:27That is a good serve.

1:46:08 > 1:46:15That will help Inglot. He has made one!Carreno-Busta's managing his

1:46:15 > 1:46:21serve in a way kind of what we have been talk about. Inglot, he won't

1:46:21 > 1:46:26start taking pace off. But Carreno-Busta is struggling and he

1:46:26 > 1:46:37is hitting three quarters kickers into the backhand almost every time.

1:46:40 > 1:46:50He nailed that! From a ball that had zero pace and was dropping

1:46:50 > 1:47:00vertically as well. That was all in the timing that one.

1:47:15 > 1:47:24They're feeding off it

1:47:24 > 1:47:30confidence-wise, Carreno-Busta and Lopez. He has got to keep holding

1:47:30 > 1:47:36serve. They have been broken early in each set. They have got to keep

1:47:36 > 1:47:40holding and nudge the scoreboard. They have only got to make a couple

1:47:40 > 1:47:42of returns.

1:49:37 > 1:49:43I'm going to say it now in case it does happen, the fact there was a

1:49:43 > 1:49:482-0 come back yesterday, guarantee you in terms of belief that will

1:49:48 > 1:49:51make that absolutely will have an impact on what the British players

1:49:51 > 1:49:57are thinking. Not saying it is going to happen. But they know if Cam

1:49:57 > 1:50:08Norrie can do it against Bautista Agut. Why can't they?

1:50:18 > 1:50:23It is so important this game. Broken in the third game of the second set.

1:50:23 > 1:50:33They cannot afford to go a break down here.

1:51:04 > 1:51:17Well done. You have been the captain John, what would you be saying now?

1:51:17 > 1:51:22I mean, they have got to just, you know, I think what we have been

1:51:22 > 1:51:26saying about what with Dom Inglot and Leon's made his point and

1:51:26 > 1:51:30mentioned things, I agree with what Jamie said, you can't keep harping

1:51:30 > 1:51:38on it all the time. Because it will become a psychological thing. It is

1:51:38 > 1:51:43this belief they have got to have. As you said, they lost the first two

1:51:43 > 1:51:48sets with one break on each. They didn't play well. It is not that far

1:51:48 > 1:51:57away. And Carreno-Busta in my opinion has not returned well. Lopez

1:51:57 > 1:52:02has played very well. But they're not far off. But they're not doing

1:52:02 > 1:52:07the simple things well. They're just not getting the ball back in play.

1:52:07 > 1:52:18Leon is mentioning something here again.

1:52:19 > 1:52:28Lopez, who has been so good on serve, up next.

1:52:29 > 1:52:41serve, up next. Smiles all around the Spaniards. In their sunshine.

1:53:00 > 1:53:03Second ace for Lopez, fourth for the team.

1:53:09 > 1:53:16I don't know the numbers, but it feels like the British team almost

1:53:16 > 1:53:24haven't once been 0-15 up on a Spanish service game just to get

1:53:24 > 1:53:25their noses in front.

1:53:31 > 1:53:38A very good volley there. The problem is before you know it,

1:53:38 > 1:53:45you're then serving again and the pressure's back on.

1:54:07 > 1:54:18Love game. Now of course the pressure is straight back to Inglot.

1:54:18 > 1:54:26He has been the only man broken - and twice.

1:55:03 > 1:55:09He is so good at that shot. He lets the ball come on to him a fraction

1:55:09 > 1:55:16more than most players would. Gives him the angle. He targeted Inglot

1:55:16 > 1:55:24initially in the point.

1:55:43 > 1:55:52The best return he has hit for a while. The extra height, having

1:55:52 > 1:56:05broken Inglot twice. They're seriously after him again.

1:56:17 > 1:56:24This is where Jamie's got to keep believing and he has got to keep

1:56:24 > 1:56:28giving his partner confidence here.

1:56:58 > 1:57:03It looked like he really went for that return. I don't know if that

1:57:03 > 1:57:08was the rigt decision. Get it to feet - ask the question.I don't

1:57:08 > 1:57:13think he has returned that well today. Lopez has returned way

1:57:13 > 1:57:20better.

1:57:30 > 1:57:37The third time he has served two double faults in a game. Another

1:57:37 > 1:57:46break point. A bit of a look. They exchanged gifts before the tie.

1:57:46 > 1:57:56There has been a few in this rubber!

1:57:57 > 1:58:02And then that!

1:58:10 > 1:58:18Five aces and seven double faults - Great Britain, all from Dom Inglot.

1:59:11 > 1:59:17This is very makeable. Just pulls that down to early. Snatches at that

1:59:17 > 1:59:26volley.

2:00:19 > 2:00:32Well done! Few!It is nerve-racking, every service game he has at the

2:00:32 > 2:00:40moment. You just don't feel like he will close it easily.

2:00:40 > 2:00:42will close it easily.A horrible feeling as a player when you are not

2:00:42 > 2:00:48quite there and you are trying so hard to make it happen. It is the

2:00:48 > 2:00:51worst feeling ever. You feel like you're letting your partner down and

2:00:51 > 2:00:55your country down that you have got to get that out of your mind as

2:00:55 > 2:01:01quickly as you can. Your partner has got to help you and you have got to

2:01:01 > 2:01:05have belief in yourself. And somehow get into a position where it is

2:01:05 > 2:01:09irrelevant what has happened in the last two hours. He cannot do

2:01:09 > 2:01:14anything about it. What you want to do is somehow learn from it which

2:01:14 > 2:01:18gives you a better chance of making the next ball or playing your best

2:01:18 > 2:01:26tennis in the next five minutes. If I was Leon I would be reminding them

2:01:26 > 2:01:30at every changeover of what happened yesterday. And it is the first time

2:01:30 > 2:01:35in a match where they have held serve for the first time three times

2:01:35 > 2:01:45a row.And talk to them about how good they are. Just keep believing.

2:01:45 > 2:01:50They are a world-class team. It is going to happen. You are going to

2:01:50 > 2:01:53break.

2:02:24 > 2:02:31Great move.Good deep return as well.

2:02:48 > 2:02:56Now then.

2:03:03 > 2:03:08It is the first time they have had 15-30 since the second game of the

2:03:08 > 2:03:14second set.

2:04:01 > 2:04:05I knew Jamie Murray was going to come in off that return. I'm a

2:04:05 > 2:04:11little surprised he went down the line with the return. Lopez was

2:04:11 > 2:04:14sharp to that one.

2:04:25 > 2:04:34They made some headway in that game. Acorns and all that.Exactly. They

2:04:34 > 2:04:41have got a few more balls back in play.

2:04:41 > 2:04:46play. At least hang in there and baby they will get to the tie-break.

2:04:46 > 2:04:55At least you have got a shot that way.

2:05:28 > 2:05:33That was a bit fortunate where it ended up. The reflex was good. It

2:05:33 > 2:05:42was a tough return of serve there.

2:06:02 > 2:06:11That serve sort of sat there and Dom Inglot moved a fraction too soon.

2:06:46 > 2:06:57So good. He played the wrong shop there, Lopez. That was such a clever

2:06:57 > 2:07:01half-volley from Jamie Murray. Not many people would have had the

2:07:01 > 2:07:09vision to play this one short.

2:07:36 > 2:07:46Well done, good point. Good pick-ups there from both players.

2:07:47 > 2:07:50there from both players. So solid, Murray. Wanting to control the play.

2:07:50 > 2:08:00Become that captain that you talked about with the team.

2:08:00 > 2:08:04about with the team.He is doing a lot of nodding. He has got a lot of

2:08:04 > 2:08:07instructions coming at him.

2:08:16 > 2:08:22Nudging that scoreboard, Great Britain.

2:08:24 > 2:08:28Britain. From their point of view, much better in this third set. They

2:08:28 > 2:08:34are in the set. The other two sets they were down so only at the break.

2:08:34 > 2:08:39It kept slipping away. You feel like they are in this much more. Starting

2:08:39 > 2:08:44to make a few more returns. Holding their serves more comfortably as

2:08:44 > 2:08:52well.

2:08:58 > 2:09:04It is the occasional word to Jamie. Not much. You keep going, I will

2:09:04 > 2:09:10work on Dom.

2:09:10 > 2:09:21work on Dom. They had a sniff in the last Spanish service game. 15-30.

2:09:21 > 2:09:26Such a mental battle these matches. It seems like they are miles behind

2:09:26 > 2:09:31now. This has not been a massively physical match, even for a doubles

2:09:31 > 2:09:39match on the clay. Sometimes you can have lots of long exchanges. There

2:09:39 > 2:09:42haven't been so far. If you can somehow find a way to get this set,

2:09:42 > 2:09:48it becomes a completely different match again.Just under two hours.

2:09:48 > 2:09:53Lopez serving. 3-4, third set.

2:11:28 > 2:11:39He has got to keep positive, Jamie Murray, for Inglot here.

2:11:44 > 2:11:58Made it. Not the cleanest kit but he will take anything.Anything!

2:12:00 > 2:12:05The points are getting bigger on the Spaniard's firm. They have not had a

2:12:05 > 2:12:06lot of pressure.

2:12:12 > 2:12:21Such a good serve. He has been so clinical with the wide one.The ball

2:12:21 > 2:12:26toss I thought he was going to swing it down the middle. It is an amazing

2:12:26 > 2:12:31ball toss. It has been a nightmare to read his serve. You cannot, that

2:12:31 > 2:12:39is the problem.

2:12:58 > 2:13:04Starting to come good, Inglot. When he gets hold of the ball, he really

2:13:04 > 2:13:13gets hold of it. He just clocked it. The first return has been key. It

2:13:13 > 2:13:15stayed low there, good extension.

2:13:46 > 2:13:52Murray is so consistent.A volley, or got it back into court. So much

2:13:52 > 2:14:00power. On play the ball just sits there in says, hit me.

2:14:10 > 2:14:16-- on the clay, the ball just sits there and says, hit me. That was a

2:14:16 > 2:14:20good volley. Even though they lost this game, this power should be

2:14:20 > 2:14:25thinking, we are getting close. I know time is running out but you

2:14:25 > 2:14:32take small little comforts when you play a match like this. Some good

2:14:32 > 2:14:41returns from Inglot. You would expect the Spanish focus to be at

2:14:41 > 2:14:44its absolute peak in this game now, given what has happened in the match

2:14:44 > 2:14:47so far.

2:15:03 > 2:15:08Is anybody else holding their breath every time Inglot hits a first

2:15:08 > 2:15:16serve?

2:16:06 > 2:16:16Great serve.

2:16:37 > 2:16:40Seven of those.

2:16:58 > 2:17:06Good hands.

2:17:09 > 2:17:17Getting closer and closer.From an opponent's point of view, the

2:17:17 > 2:17:21difficult thing about playing an inconsistent player like Dom Inglot,

2:17:21 > 2:17:25I used to find this when playing Karlovic and Lukas Rosol was like

2:17:25 > 2:17:28this as well, it was not so much their serve, because I was expecting

2:17:28 > 2:17:33that that would be so damaging, the difficult thing was sometimes you

2:17:33 > 2:17:38would go three or four games where they did not make a return and then

2:17:38 > 2:17:43suddenly a couple at the same time and you have been broken. I think

2:17:43 > 2:17:49you mentioned this, John, Inglot has got the capability of making solid

2:17:49 > 2:17:54returns and flashing a few big winners, or if it is ground strokes,

2:17:54 > 2:18:02something that you do have the ability to catch them and that cold.

2:18:02 > 2:18:06They have only had one break point. The last time they took the

2:18:06 > 2:18:09Spaniards to deuce on the service game is the second game of the

2:18:09 > 2:18:15second set. It just feels a lot closer than that right now.Jamie

2:18:15 > 2:18:17Murray got involved in that discussion at the changeover which

2:18:17 > 2:18:27is the first time we have seen that. Both really pumped up now. This

2:18:27 > 2:18:31theoretically is the play that they are going to break out of the two.

2:18:31 > 2:18:34Lopez' service has been so good.

2:19:03 > 2:19:12The ball kid did well to get out of the way then.

2:19:41 > 2:19:53Pretty close.That has hit the line that one, I think.It is annoying. A

2:19:53 > 2:19:59good return as well.It is annoying because that was a good return. Now

2:19:59 > 2:20:10it will be the first serve again. That is the last thing you need.

2:21:16 > 2:21:20Terrific. The first time he has held serve to love and he did it for-

2:21:20 > 2:21:25five. Impressive.

2:22:49 > 2:22:59Trouble. Steered that so well, didn't he?He seemed to have a long

2:22:59 > 2:23:07time to hit that and prepare his serve.

2:23:07 > 2:23:17serve.It is that left-hand.A two hander, guiding that.

2:23:34 > 2:23:39This is about guts and determination for the British pair. They need to

2:23:39 > 2:23:46give themselves at least a shot at a tie-break. You never know what can

2:23:46 > 2:23:53happen.

2:24:05 > 2:24:14That was a good second serve but not that good. That was a wild forehand.

2:24:14 > 2:24:2415-30. Just pulled right off it.

2:25:01 > 2:25:14They have been lucky with that let. They have been lucky period today.

2:25:29 > 2:25:38Made it.

2:25:43 > 2:25:46Break point.

2:26:11 > 2:26:18That was really well done from both players. And for Inglot to be so

2:26:18 > 2:26:22positive for his movement on such a big point. He was able to almost

2:26:22 > 2:26:32slam dunk that ball away.

2:26:37 > 2:26:43That is a wonderful shot. Where did he find that angle from? The

2:26:43 > 2:26:47half-volley was fantastic there from Jamie Murray. He could not hit that

2:26:47 > 2:26:52any better than that.

2:26:58 > 2:27:04That is an amazing shot.

2:27:43 > 2:27:49When you think the shots they have hit in this game and then that. That

2:27:49 > 2:27:53is the second second serve he has hit and both times he has tried to

2:27:53 > 2:27:57hit the forehand with this bin and has taken it to his backhand. I

2:27:57 > 2:28:03don't know why he is running round that. His backhand has been so

2:28:03 > 2:28:13solid. I don't know why he did not clock a couple of two handers?

2:28:24 > 2:28:30Well done, a good stretch.

2:28:38 > 2:28:43I'm surprised he has still got a voice!

2:28:52 > 2:28:59What a hold. They are on the window ledge but they are still on it.Good

2:28:59 > 2:29:03hold, courtesy of Carreno Busta about getting very tight and choking

2:29:03 > 2:29:09big-time on the two returns. They have got to feed off that if they

2:29:09 > 2:29:16can.Of course. Lopez plays so solidly throughout. Carino Buster

2:29:16 > 2:29:24has been up and down. SUE BARKER: What a brave hold that

2:29:24 > 2:29:29was. The game goes on. Just to tell you that we are staying with the

2:29:29 > 2:29:33tennis on BBC Two. We are not going anywhere, we are staying with the

2:29:33 > 2:29:41tennis right now.

2:29:41 > 2:29:48Yes, it was a gutsy hold. A minimum tie-break now for Great Britain.In

2:29:48 > 2:29:52these situations, it is much better from a British point of view to come

2:29:52 > 2:29:57through a few tough games, because even if it goes to five sets, and if

2:29:57 > 2:30:05it goes into a

2:30:05 > 2:30:07it goes into a tie-break, the Spanish team, just that tiny bit of

2:30:07 > 2:30:10destruction to think, we had the forehand returns, we had the chance,

2:30:10 > 2:30:16we could have been off already.Two from 12 on the break points.The

2:30:16 > 2:30:19British pair have been hanging in, that is what they have been doing.

2:30:19 > 2:30:23Sometimes you have to do that.

2:30:53 > 2:30:58That is so good. The second over head in particular. Both of them

2:30:58 > 2:31:06smash bes. He made them look easy. The second he hit from beside his

2:31:06 > 2:31:10ear. At the start of the point, there was a very nervy volley from

2:31:10 > 2:31:17Carreno-Busta.What was he doing on that one? Not that one, that was

2:31:17 > 2:31:26immaculate.

2:31:27 > 2:31:35Good try.

2:31:37 > 2:31:49Good instincts from Carreno-Busta to close on that one.

2:32:52 > 2:33:03Tie-break it is. Still unbroken, the Spaniards, only one break point

2:33:03 > 2:33:08offered in the match. This is the equivalent of a penalty shoot-out.

2:33:08 > 2:33:15Anything could happen here. Absolutely. You have got to give the

2:33:15 > 2:33:22Spanish team a lot of credit. Three sets on clay and to have not lost

2:33:22 > 2:33:30serve is pretty good going.

2:33:41 > 2:33:52It's in.Oh, that was lucky.

2:34:36 > 2:34:39You can understand why he is wanting to make the move. But Carreno-Busta

2:34:39 > 2:34:52is so good from the back. He just saw him go.

2:34:57 > 2:35:02Got the mini-break back.He had a lot of time on that forehand.It is

2:35:02 > 2:35:08very tight. That was the middle of the net that forehand. You would

2:35:08 > 2:35:12expect him to have hit a dipping shot there and at least made the

2:35:12 > 2:35:19Brits play.

2:35:19 > 2:35:25Brits play.It is at the opposite end now for the tie-break for all of

2:35:25 > 2:35:32them.

2:35:43 > 2:35:51Oh, what a recovery that was from Jamie Murray, that lunge volley, but

2:35:51 > 2:35:58it didn't do any good.

2:36:22 > 2:36:38This is a healthy lead.Yes.Two service points to come too.

2:37:00 > 2:37:12He has been the best server on the court by miles.

2:37:17 > 2:37:25First time playing together.

2:37:32 > 2:37:39Two points away from a 2-1 lead.

2:38:07 > 2:38:18Good effort, good hands there from Inglot.

2:38:53 > 2:39:05He has made another one of those. The backhand has been so good. The

2:39:05 > 2:39:13Brits doing a good job of hanging in, but just... Too big a gap and

2:39:13 > 2:39:17thinking back to that lucky return on the first point in the tie-break,

2:39:17 > 2:39:22so important to get your nose in front.Four match points.

2:40:02 > 2:40:08Wonderful return. They're still hanging in.Possibly his best return

2:40:08 > 2:40:13of the match. One more of these from Jamie Murray would make it

2:40:13 > 2:40:22interesting!

2:40:32 > 2:40:40That will do it. Delight for Feliciano Lopez and Pablo

2:40:40 > 2:40:44Carreno-Busta. The first time playing together, they have given

2:40:44 > 2:40:50Spain a 2-1 lead. They have won the pivotal doubles.Great performance

2:40:50 > 2:40:56from the Spanish team. They will be delighted with that. They all had to

2:40:56 > 2:41:00give themselves a big lift after the disappointment of the singles.

2:41:00 > 2:41:06Carreno-Busta for all his experience and his individual career, he is

2:41:06 > 2:41:09relatively inexperienced in the Davis Cup and look what that means

2:41:09 > 2:41:19to him.No breaks of serve and he only offered up one break point.

2:41:19 > 2:41:23Jamie Murray was magnificent. Dom Inglot improved. It was starting to

2:41:23 > 2:41:31happen. It was just a little too late. So Spain take the 2-1 lead

2:41:31 > 2:41:36into the final day tomorrow. STUDIO: Well played Spain, a

2:41:36 > 2:41:40terrific performance from Carreno-Busta and Feliciano Lopez.

2:41:40 > 2:41:46Huge disappointment for Jamie and Dom. As as Chris said, 2-1 up going

2:41:46 > 2:41:49into tomorrow's singles matches, Spain needing one victory and

2:41:49 > 2:41:54Britain have to win both singles matches. It will be down to the

2:41:54 > 2:41:59captains who play. But I think you will see this man on court, Pablo

2:41:59 > 2:42:04Carreno-Busta. That is the schedule and we will be back on BBC Two

2:42:04 > 2:42:09tomorrow at 10 o'clock for the first of those singles. That is the two No

2:42:09 > 2:42:151s facing each other. Coming up after us this afternoon here on BBC

2:42:15 > 2:42:18Two, it is Final Score at 4.30.

2:42:25 > 2:42:29Tomorrow Six Nations continues at 3 o'clock.

2:42:40 > 2:42:47A special documentary on Ellise Christie.

2:42:47 > 2:42:51Briefly, huge disappointment, that was a match we felt Britain needed

2:42:51 > 2:42:57to win?Yes I think we did too. I thought we were slight favourites

2:42:57 > 2:43:03going in. Playing a scratch pairing. But Dom Inglot played a poor match

2:43:03 > 2:43:07by his standards. If you're not making the returns of serve, you

2:43:07 > 2:43:13can't break.They didn't give them much.Lopez was the best player on

2:43:13 > 2:43:17the the court. It was a tough match. They were starting to get back, but

2:43:17 > 2:43:22it was too late.Do you think Kyle Edmund will come in tomorrow?I have

2:43:22 > 2:43:32a feeling he won't. I think they will stick with him. They will hope

2:43:32 > 2:43:36Cam Norrie can do it again. It is 2-1 to Spain after today's doubles

2:43:36 > 2:43:42match and it is very much advantage to the host nation into the two

2:43:42 > 2:43:52singles match tomorrow. From all of us here, bye-bye.
