:00:49. > :00:54.Quick thinking from Willian, disappointing from Lee Grant. It

:00:55. > :01:01.came back to Gary Cahill, they are back in front, three points closer

:01:02. > :01:07.to a sixth Championship. In George Eriksen who fires Tottenham ahead.

:01:08. > :01:11.Penalty, 2-0. Penalty to Liverpool, Liverpool have the lead at the

:01:12. > :01:18.Etihad. I Granero is they are, first chance of the game he has had.

:01:19. > :01:25.Dawson scores, the pressure is beginning to mount again on Arsene

:01:26. > :01:34.Wenger. Rifled into the net by Lingard. Manchester United seal the

:01:35. > :01:43.points. Lukaku, could be four, surely it will be. Robert Huth

:01:44. > :01:50.unmarked, Leicester mac two clear already, Jamie Vardy restores the

:01:51. > :01:55.two goal advantage. Real chance, 2-0 Bournemouth. Into his own net,

:01:56. > :02:05.Crystal Palace lead. Good afternoon, a reminder of the

:02:06. > :02:09.twists and turns of a fortnight ago. After the international break we are

:02:10. > :02:15.into the final straight of the domestic season. He's had a

:02:16. > :02:21.miserable few years, Saido Berahino on that drugs ban and dealing with

:02:22. > :02:26.his Demons. I was depressed every moment I walked onto the training

:02:27. > :02:31.ground, I did not want to be there. Ben Gibson on avoiding the drop and

:02:32. > :02:36.being related to the owner. As a kid people assumed you were only there

:02:37. > :02:43.because of your uncle, to get a free tracksuit. Will this be the weekend

:02:44. > :02:48.Celtic claim the Scottish title? Celtic is one of the great clubs in

:02:49. > :02:55.the world, it's a real institution. Keeping the Saints on the straight

:02:56. > :03:01.and narrow. And they are in crisis but still Coventry taking more than

:03:02. > :03:02.40,000 to Wembley this weekend. This club will come again, no doubt about

:03:03. > :03:18.it in my mind. We will also focus with Mark and

:03:19. > :03:22.Kevin. Saido Berahino, no one has ever doubted his talent but he's

:03:23. > :03:26.never been far from controversy. He rarely started in his final 18

:03:27. > :03:31.months at West Brom and failed a drug test, now he is starting again

:03:32. > :03:38.at Stoke City where he had a frank exchange this week with Juliette

:03:39. > :03:43.Farrington. It's not an excuse, my mum raised me right and she sees the

:03:44. > :03:49.negative stuff it hurts her and I can see it. I'm Saido Berahino and

:03:50. > :03:54.this is my story. I was born in Burundi in 1993 and my dad passed

:03:55. > :03:59.away in 1997. The country was unstable, always civil war, lots of

:04:00. > :04:03.things happening. I was back in Burundi with my mum 's best friend

:04:04. > :04:07.and then I came to England, I was about nine but we could not get a

:04:08. > :04:11.hold of my mother. I went through about six months where I was kept in

:04:12. > :04:16.care and then I finally met my mum and that was it. I moved to

:04:17. > :04:23.Birmingham, I had one year in primary school. Could not speak

:04:24. > :04:27.English, it was really hard. I got into football and it became easier

:04:28. > :04:32.for me, I made friends and I grew and grew and grew. I got my trial in

:04:33. > :04:40.year seven at West Brom, six weeks. That is where it all started. Did

:04:41. > :04:44.you miss not having a father figure? I think other kids have had the

:04:45. > :04:47.experience of fathers have told them you cannot do things like this

:04:48. > :04:54.because it will lead you a certain way. It's been tough but I have had

:04:55. > :04:58.to learn, quickly because I have made major mistakes, massive

:04:59. > :05:04.mistakes at a young age. There is quite a list of these mistakes. The

:05:05. > :05:10.drugs. What was that about? No one knows that story, I doubly want to

:05:11. > :05:17.go into it. Tell us what you can if that is OK. All I can say is I did

:05:18. > :05:20.not know how it got in my system. We had specialists analyse me, took my

:05:21. > :05:24.hair follicle for six months, I've never taken drugs in my life and no

:05:25. > :05:32.one in my family takes drugs. There was nothing in my here, no cannabis,

:05:33. > :05:38.cocaine, nothing that they found. I was ten whatever is it called over.

:05:39. > :05:44.That could not have got me high or nothing. It was just one of those

:05:45. > :05:48.things, you go on a night out, you do not know who you are around and

:05:49. > :05:51.there are people out there to get you. Of course I was in the

:05:52. > :05:57.nightclub so I hold my hand up for being irresponsible and from there

:05:58. > :06:00.it all crashed down. Until this day, I still cannot understand who would

:06:01. > :06:07.want to do that to me. It's been really tough. There is a lot of

:06:08. > :06:13.investigation work through the FA, they did help. It was good for them

:06:14. > :06:16.but it was tough to take. Me and my mum, they have never seen me take

:06:17. > :06:23.drugs so for me to get banned for something I have not done, it's hard

:06:24. > :06:27.to take. So it was spiked? Definitely, because if I was going

:06:28. > :06:29.to get high you would take an amount where you want to get high and the

:06:30. > :06:34.threshold would have been higher, the numbers would have been higher

:06:35. > :06:37.that they found in my system but it was really, really low. So why would

:06:38. > :06:45.you want to take something and not get a buzz off it? But because I'm

:06:46. > :06:53.in the Premier League PFA have to have zero tolerance which is why I

:06:54. > :06:57.got the eight week 's. Tony Pulis said when you left you were not his

:06:58. > :07:01.problem any more, what was the dynamic like between you? He was

:07:02. > :07:05.often talking about you but protecting the inner way. No one

:07:06. > :07:09.protected me at the club, the protected me towards the drug thing

:07:10. > :07:13.but everything about my life was out there. I just wanted to get out of

:07:14. > :07:17.West Brom, fresh start. It wasn't working for me and it was one of the

:07:18. > :07:21.reasons I did not want to sign. The contracts they put on the table, it

:07:22. > :07:26.was not about money it was about my happiness. If you had a promotion

:07:27. > :07:30.and it was a great job for you you would not say no. It works the same

:07:31. > :07:33.way in football, when you have an opportunity to go and progress your

:07:34. > :07:38.career you want to but it does not mean I am disrespecting the club, it

:07:39. > :07:41.is just at the time there were a lot of things happening around me with

:07:42. > :07:46.the chairman not wanting to sell me, he wanted to sell the club and I was

:07:47. > :07:50.a big asset to the club so I could not get sold because of that. That

:07:51. > :07:55.is why so many windows I did not move. I was depressed every moment I

:07:56. > :07:59.walked into the training ground and did not want to be there. That was

:08:00. > :08:06.the hardest thing because from going from loving something and hating the

:08:07. > :08:11.place that made you, it's hard to take. Even if I was not playing

:08:12. > :08:17.there are ways of doing things, there are times I was training with

:08:18. > :08:22.the youth team. That people would say you have been a bad lad. People

:08:23. > :08:28.would say that as a punishment for what you have done. Maybe, but it

:08:29. > :08:31.all started from how they treated me from the beginning. Because going to

:08:32. > :08:36.pre-season I had teams that wanted to buy me. I did not move in the

:08:37. > :08:40.summer, as soon as I rejected the first contract, there you go. One of

:08:41. > :08:49.the clubs which did what you were Stoke and you are here now, look at

:08:50. > :08:52.that smile, it is back! As soon as I moved I was excited to meet

:08:53. > :08:57.everyone, get into the regime of what they do. You knew also there

:08:58. > :09:02.was a manager here who had wanted you for quite some time. Yes and

:09:03. > :09:07.that helps massively, when somebody really wants you. To learn from

:09:08. > :09:10.them, he was a great striker himself so I have been like a sponge, taking

:09:11. > :09:15.all the information on board and trying to get back to where I was a

:09:16. > :09:18.couple of years ago. Do you think Mark Hughes can get that potential

:09:19. > :09:23.out of you that everyone was talking about a couple of years ago, is he

:09:24. > :09:28.the right guy? Definitely, I would not be here if I did not believe it.

:09:29. > :09:32.I have to get back that level and kicked all, that is what I have been

:09:33. > :09:38.trying to do since I got here, get back into what I used to do. The big

:09:39. > :09:44.welcome for Saido Berahino, big cheer around the stadium. Long-term

:09:45. > :09:51.you see yourself here? Of course, I feel at home already. I have made

:09:52. > :09:57.some friends. What does your mum say? Young when are you going to

:09:58. > :10:03.score your first goal? When are you? Soon, hopefully, when the chances

:10:04. > :10:07.come. It's an interview that has divided

:10:08. > :10:12.people over the last few days, do you feel sorry for him? Do you

:10:13. > :10:16.understand where he's coming from, many people saying why does he not

:10:17. > :10:21.take more responsibility for the bad decisions he has made Kevin? I think

:10:22. > :10:28.he is quite remorseful, he has regrets about how he went about

:10:29. > :10:32.things. I have seen these situations manifested in football clubs so

:10:33. > :10:37.often where sometimes it's either the player 's agent, the player

:10:38. > :10:41.himself goes to see the manager or the owners, get the conversation and

:10:42. > :10:45.get it iron out. It was one of those things where it was a snowball

:10:46. > :10:50.effect, it continued and got worse and worse for the club and the

:10:51. > :10:54.player. I understand the situation about being an asset to the club

:10:55. > :10:58.which was up for sale, all these things, but the underlying fact is

:10:59. > :11:04.he could have done a lot more on the pitch for himself to help himself. I

:11:05. > :11:09.agree with all of that, the thing about playing is that is your role

:11:10. > :11:12.lease. Whatever the situation, we saw it with Jonathan Woodgate and

:11:13. > :11:16.Lee Bowyer at Leeds United, Lee Bowyer could still play and that was

:11:17. > :11:21.how he dealt with it, Jonathan Woodgate could not, but the thing

:11:22. > :11:25.for Saido Berahino is go out and play. Yes lack of a father figure

:11:26. > :11:29.but I was under the impression that Tony Pulis was that guy for a while

:11:30. > :11:34.and I think in the end it seems even Tony Pulis has gone do you know

:11:35. > :11:39.what, I can only take you to the water so many occasions at the end

:11:40. > :11:44.you have to drink. When he looks at it, it's, he's a really good player,

:11:45. > :11:49.and he still only 23 so still has a chance but he has wasted his time.

:11:50. > :11:52.West Brom fans do feel he downed tools and partly because they felt

:11:53. > :12:00.they had a player, the season where he came to life... If it was not

:12:01. > :12:05.such a great player it would not be as bad, and that's the thing. We

:12:06. > :12:08.have seen them all, we have seen all these lads with all this talent,

:12:09. > :12:14.normally a bit earlier in their career, in the end completely

:12:15. > :12:18.disappear for whatever reason. The thing with everyone saying to him,

:12:19. > :12:23.he is such a good player, Mauricio Pochettino wanted him, he would have

:12:24. > :12:27.been playing instead of Dele Alli. It shows there are flaws in the

:12:28. > :12:32.system, there is so much a player can get financially from a

:12:33. > :12:36.professional point of view, ever can go to a player when they are 17,

:12:37. > :12:40.coming through, but a huge downside to it where a player might not be

:12:41. > :12:45.able to cope with these things and suddenly he's been told the club is

:12:46. > :12:51.in for him, he wants the move and goes about it the wrong way. The

:12:52. > :12:57.other thing is did he or has he had a mental health issue? It would be

:12:58. > :13:00.interesting to see. He has said he has had depression but he has not

:13:01. > :13:05.been assessed officially that we know of. Exactly, I know it is

:13:06. > :13:08.difficult for football supporters and West Brom supporters

:13:09. > :13:12.particularly looking at that asking how he can be depressed with all

:13:13. > :13:18.this God-given ability but it needs looking at. Even his mum wants to

:13:19. > :13:22.know when he will score for Stoke City, you can see why Mark Hughes

:13:23. > :13:26.has taken a gamble. I think it was February last year he last scored,

:13:27. > :13:31.but he has the ability and has had streaks in his career when he goes

:13:32. > :13:36.on runs. Stoke City at Leicester today taking on a side rejuvenated

:13:37. > :13:41.in recent weeks, Steve Wilson is there for us, we talk about the

:13:42. > :13:43.rejuvenation, they have won every game since Claudio Ranieri left and

:13:44. > :13:49.in the last eight of the Champions League. When you think about it

:13:50. > :13:54.these club are almost polar opposites. Leicester almost

:13:55. > :13:56.relegated saved by the skin of their teeth, champions the following

:13:57. > :14:01.season and then the ups and downs and change of manager this season,

:14:02. > :14:05.they are the epitome of inconsistency where Stoke City the

:14:06. > :14:10.last three seasons have finished ninth and guess where they stand

:14:11. > :14:15.this morning? Ninth of course, they are like old faithful. They had a

:14:16. > :14:21.very combustible match earlier this season are bad Stoke City, 2-2,

:14:22. > :14:27.Jamie Vardy sent off, Leicester thought it was a harsh decision but

:14:28. > :14:32.he served his time, got the ban. Leicester came back with ten men to

:14:33. > :14:37.get a draw with two goals in the last 16 minutes so we are hoping for

:14:38. > :14:45.similar excitement here today at the King Power Stadium. It's a big day

:14:46. > :14:50.actually at the King Power Stadium, preparations going on to celebrate

:14:51. > :14:54.the birthday of the chairman, a big banner and pyrotechnics and all

:14:55. > :14:57.kinds of stuff and they are giving away beer to Leicester City

:14:58. > :15:02.supporters which is always guaranteed to make you popular. It

:15:03. > :15:11.is happy birthday to the chairman. Happy birthday to you.

:15:12. > :15:22.'S last bit! P 45 legs that game is one of fate in the Premier League on

:15:23. > :15:42.a very busy Saturday, let's have a look at it.

:15:43. > :15:47.Let's concentrate on the bottom of the table. Middlesbrough are

:15:48. > :15:54.desperate for a win at Swansea and Ben Gibson has been speaking this

:15:55. > :15:55.week to us. The Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson... His first

:15:56. > :16:04.senior England call-up... Firstly, you might or your

:16:05. > :16:09.girlfriend a holiday. I believe so and I don't think he let me forget

:16:10. > :16:15.it, to be honest. It was international break, Friday morning,

:16:16. > :16:19.went to training. The gaffer had us an early because the land is often

:16:20. > :16:24.go away with their days off. Printed off the boarding card for a little

:16:25. > :16:28.trip to Spain, checked in and finish trading was ready to go. The

:16:29. > :16:32.secretary told me I had been called up for England. I was shocked,

:16:33. > :16:36.delighted, it was mad. How did you break the news to your girlfriend,

:16:37. > :16:40.did you go round and say we're not going any more? Actually, you won't

:16:41. > :16:45.believe this, I rang her and the last international break, I

:16:46. > :16:48.pretended I was injured just to wind her up, so I said we cannot go, I've

:16:49. > :16:55.got training tomorrow, something of that nature, he was gutted and I

:16:56. > :16:58.started laughing. This time I told her I was in the England squad and

:16:59. > :17:02.he didn't believe me, he was waiting for me to start laughing and it was

:17:03. > :17:05.only after my little brother had rang her to say how good is this

:17:06. > :17:09.that he realised and celebrated properly.

:17:10. > :17:15.How was it to go and join up with the England team, you didn't play

:17:16. > :17:19.but it must have been an amazing experience? It was phenomenal,

:17:20. > :17:22.everyone in the country dreams of thing for England when you're in the

:17:23. > :17:26.park and this is what my friends were saying to me, we used to

:17:27. > :17:31.pretend when we were kids, in Wembley we used to shout Beckham and

:17:32. > :17:34.it's every young boy 's dream and to do that it was such an honour,

:17:35. > :17:45.phenomenal and something I'd never forget. No! That's me! Quarter

:17:46. > :17:56.schoolboy. I'm in the middle of an interview. That's Jonathan Woodgate.

:17:57. > :18:00.He's my new coach. He's a top man. In the latter years he was here,

:18:01. > :18:05.fantastic person to have around the dressing room, role model, leader,

:18:06. > :18:10.the natural progression. Hassey, and at a good enough time to change

:18:11. > :18:14.anything? Without a doubt, still ten games of the season left, massive

:18:15. > :18:19.end. He's a legend, played at the highest level of the game, not many

:18:20. > :18:23.English defenders get moves to Real Madrid, that happens for a reason.

:18:24. > :18:27.Towards the back end of his career he was always helping me, taking

:18:28. > :18:31.nearside and telling me what I could do better, what I've done well,

:18:32. > :18:36.analysing my clips and took a long time to do that. Steve Agnew has

:18:37. > :18:42.come on, second game in charge this week and, what's the atmosphere

:18:43. > :18:46.like? It's really positive, we've been in difficult positions before,

:18:47. > :18:50.so we still believe in ourselves that we have to get out of the

:18:51. > :18:54.predicament we're in, we've known Steve Agnew for a long time and he's

:18:55. > :18:58.a fantastic coach, encourages players to be expansive and try

:18:59. > :19:02.things and looking forward to having a change of and mentality and trying

:19:03. > :19:06.something different because what we're doing hasn't been working,

:19:07. > :19:12.results and our league position shows that. Aitor Karanka really

:19:13. > :19:16.helped your progression. I can only say positive things about him, my

:19:17. > :19:20.career took a real upturn when he came. I have to say thanks for that

:19:21. > :19:24.but we're in a new chapter and it starts now and have to make sure

:19:25. > :19:28.it's a successful start to remain in the league. Having an uncle as

:19:29. > :19:32.chairman, has it ever helped or hindered your career because some

:19:33. > :19:36.might think you were born with a Silva spoon and had your uncle Bear.

:19:37. > :19:42.You sound like one of the lads on the training ground! Have people

:19:43. > :19:46.said to you, you've had it easy? Of course, that's what happens,

:19:47. > :19:50.unfortunately. People in this world are cynical, particularly as a kid

:19:51. > :19:55.you get jealous people and parents and I had to compete against that,

:19:56. > :19:59.it's helped me and it's given me on. I've always had to work harder

:20:00. > :20:02.because I was written off at the start, people assumed you were only

:20:03. > :20:07.there because of your uncle, you were only there to get a free

:20:08. > :20:10.tracksuit. Every manager going up through the academy, every player I

:20:11. > :20:15.come across, every parent my mum and dad hat is stand next to they've

:20:16. > :20:20.always thought the same, so I've had to change their own opinions and

:20:21. > :20:25.it's a challenge and I really enjoy it. COMMENTATOR: Gibson! Playing for

:20:26. > :20:29.your hometown club is a real roller-coaster. The apps are really

:20:30. > :20:33.higher than your average play but the laws are really Law. You can't

:20:34. > :20:38.get away from it but it's something you buy into that I've relished it.

:20:39. > :20:43.It's a make or break week and it's one that we're just excited by

:20:44. > :20:49.because we're in the relegation zone and looking at this week, it's an

:20:50. > :20:53.opportunity to put it right. We should see in a Football Focus

:20:54. > :20:56.first, he paid for everyone's lunch on the day of the interview, more

:20:57. > :21:02.sign that he's a very nice young man. Mark Lawrenson is concerned

:21:03. > :21:07.that he doesn't tackle but played every minute and you can see why

:21:08. > :21:10.he's been linked with Chelsea. They've got the sixth best defence

:21:11. > :21:14.in the Premier League and seeing him play for Chelsea, couldn't see him

:21:15. > :21:20.playing for a side that were Open and expensive for one of the other

:21:21. > :21:24.top four clubs. You just see here, Lawro talking about his tackling but

:21:25. > :21:28.his positional sense. The blocks he gets in and how he gets back into

:21:29. > :21:32.position, sees the run from Iheanacho. Tracks the run but maybe

:21:33. > :21:37.doesn't look particularly quick. I think it's because he reads the

:21:38. > :21:40.game. This is a brilliantly timed tackle because he's gone with the

:21:41. > :21:48.wrong leg and it has to be well timed. If he doesn't he gives away

:21:49. > :21:51.the penalty. I really like this because I think this is where his

:21:52. > :21:56.biggest strength is, when he's in the penalty area and he is seeing

:21:57. > :22:00.runners around him, just running it on slowly, you see his positional

:22:01. > :22:05.sense that he takes up between the width of the goal, quite happy to

:22:06. > :22:10.stand, his present positional sense in line with the near post, you see

:22:11. > :22:14.his head movement, looking where Fellaini is, constantly on the

:22:15. > :22:17.half-time, looking where the run from Fellaini will come from and he

:22:18. > :22:23.makes a good block off the back of it. I think he's a good player but

:22:24. > :22:31.he's seriously helped by the fact. This trend here is his strength.

:22:32. > :22:36.They just sit three in front all the time Middlesbrough. It will be

:22:37. > :22:39.interesting to see now with Agnew being in charge, will they try to

:22:40. > :22:43.change it because they have to start winning some games. They have to

:22:44. > :22:47.become a bit more Open and that will be interesting to see his

:22:48. > :22:50.performances then. They did at show a try, they made a tactical change.

:22:51. > :23:00.Scoring less than a game. This was the problem, we saw against

:23:01. > :23:03.Manchester United. Playing against Manchester United, we'll circle

:23:04. > :23:07.Negredo. He's found himself very isolated. Look at the amount of Man

:23:08. > :23:12.United bodies in the way of the Middlesbrough man on the ball.

:23:13. > :23:17.Difficult ball to get it into. If you watch the midfield players,

:23:18. > :23:20.nobody actually looks forward. It's ingrained into the three midfield

:23:21. > :23:24.players, just keep the ball. You just need to highlight the body

:23:25. > :23:30.language of Negredo. He knows it's not coming. The ball is never coming

:23:31. > :23:34.to him. When it gets to the wide area, Negredo wants the ball to his

:23:35. > :23:38.feet it's the quality of the ball played into him, that's the thing,

:23:39. > :23:42.almost as if they need a change. Agnew recognised that and in the

:23:43. > :23:48.second half he went with two upfront. Traore has got something,

:23:49. > :23:51.maybe inconsistent but he does have something but what Agnew recognised

:23:52. > :23:53.in the second half was that we need to get bodies into the penalty area

:23:54. > :24:10.so he went with two upfront and you see immediately, straight

:24:11. > :24:13.into the game derogating bodies into the penalty area and that is where

:24:14. > :24:15.you will get chances. That is where Middlesbrough have been negative,

:24:16. > :24:18.spoke about the defensive record but if they're going to get out of

:24:19. > :24:20.trouble they had to get bodies into the position to get goals. Every

:24:21. > :24:23.team that gets promoted at the start of the season from the Championship

:24:24. > :24:26.they wonder who will get the goal is to keep them in the league. The game

:24:27. > :24:28.against Swansea, that is why it's so important, if Swansea witnessed a

:24:29. > :24:31.move away from Middlesbrough and the bottom three. If you look at

:24:32. > :24:35.Middlesbrough's next few games, it's such an important period for them.

:24:36. > :24:39.It's huge for them tomorrow, what a massive game that is. If they win it

:24:40. > :24:45.the right back in touch, if they lose it you can say goodbye because

:24:46. > :24:49.the Hull City result is immaterial. Burnley to come and they face

:24:50. > :24:52.Sunderland on the 26 April. Sunderland have two huge games,

:24:53. > :24:56.Watford this weekend and then Leicester on Tuesday and able now

:24:57. > :24:59.and everyone knows that momentum is key at this stage of the season and

:25:00. > :25:09.Crystal Palace have that in bucketloads.

:25:10. > :25:15.Crystal Palace keeping an eagle eye on those around them at the wrong

:25:16. > :25:22.end of the table. Van Aanholt on his right foot, he's put it in. Like at

:25:23. > :25:29.the end of the tunnel for Palace. Wilfried Zaha brings it down well

:25:30. > :25:38.and puts it away with aplomb! It's Andros Townsend! Sensational goal.

:25:39. > :25:41.Troy Deeney into his own net and Crystal Palace lead. Doesn't matter

:25:42. > :25:45.how they go on when you're on the bottom of the table, as long as they

:25:46. > :25:50.go on. Where in the bottom seven league and can't get to the top that

:25:51. > :25:54.if we can. That run will be severely tested this afternoon and Palace

:25:55. > :26:00.travel to Chelsea. Jonathan Pearce at Stamford Bridge. They did enjoy

:26:01. > :26:04.themselves last season. They certainly did and they come here

:26:05. > :26:08.with three clean sheets in a row. Mark Schwarzer is with me, former

:26:09. > :26:13.Chelsea goalkeeper. They will be stubborn for the league leaders

:26:14. > :26:17.today? They certainly will be. The last three games they have won,

:26:18. > :26:21.clean sheet as well and it will be very tough at Chelsea to try keep

:26:22. > :26:25.another clean sheet, you look at Chelsea's record with the last ten

:26:26. > :26:30.games scoring 30 goals and conceding five, they have to rely heavily on

:26:31. > :26:34.players like Zaha and Townsend to make inroads. What a difference to

:26:35. > :26:40.an Palace came here at the start of last season, Chelsea's must start to

:26:41. > :26:45.a top-flight campaign since 1978. What difference in man management

:26:46. > :26:48.has Conte made in the dressing room? He's come down and lay down the

:26:49. > :26:55.rules right from the start. Key players with Eden Hazard, Pedro,

:26:56. > :27:00.keeping cost here was a big thing. He made it public he wanted to leave

:27:01. > :27:04.in the summer, Conte has put his arm around and said you are my main man,

:27:05. > :27:08.you stay here, we can do something special this season and he's back it

:27:09. > :27:13.up. Players have bought into the way he wants to play and the club has

:27:14. > :27:17.not looked back since. He's made a difference to Eden Hazard as well,

:27:18. > :27:21.he missed the store game and the international games, we think he

:27:22. > :27:24.will be back today. Will he be a mix is because Chelsea fans fear the

:27:25. > :27:28.Real Madrid interest. It's a tough one, as big as Chelsea are and it

:27:29. > :27:32.looks like it's a foregone conclusion that Chelsea will win the

:27:33. > :27:35.title, they will be in the Champions League next season. It's very

:27:36. > :27:44.difficult to turn down Real Madrid if they come knocking. For Chelsea,

:27:45. > :27:49.if Real Madrid. A lot of money for Chelsea to reinvest in a few

:27:50. > :27:54.players. Chelsea fans will be hoping he does stay here. The same question

:27:55. > :27:58.applies to Wilfried Zaha who scored a cracking individual goal for

:27:59. > :28:02.Nigeria against Russia but Palace fans fear he will be off to

:28:03. > :28:09.Tottenham. Another interesting scenario could unfold because we all

:28:10. > :28:13.know that Zaha gone to Man United in the past and didn't work out but

:28:14. > :28:16.Tottenham would be different. Pochettino as a manager who's done

:28:17. > :28:22.really well with the younger players, Zaha would see that as a

:28:23. > :28:26.better option than when he went to Manchester United. More stability at

:28:27. > :28:29.Tottenham. If a club like Spurs come in for him that could really suit

:28:30. > :28:35.him and it would be difficult for him to say no. How difficult will it

:28:36. > :28:39.be for Chelsea? Palace won here last year. Another victory for them today

:28:40. > :28:44.against a team that is ten points clear, can you see that? I can, we

:28:45. > :28:49.can't underestimate Palace, they are fighting for survival, they are on a

:28:50. > :28:54.good run of form, Chelsea are trying to win the title, ten points clear,

:28:55. > :28:58.I think it will be a real uphill battle for Palace today, you look at

:28:59. > :29:02.all the stats and the professionals, they say Chelsea will win it, I'll

:29:03. > :29:07.say the same. If you haven't seen that Zaha goal, I hope we get

:29:08. > :29:12.another one as good and goals from quality players all over the pitch.

:29:13. > :29:16.Use your chance to see that goal in the international break, it was very

:29:17. > :29:21.special. It was a rare beauty. Going back to the top of the table,

:29:22. > :29:27.Chelsea ten points clear of spas. Chelsea haven't lost in 12 and half

:29:28. > :29:31.weeks. Middlesbrough have won in 15 weeks and you look at the next few

:29:32. > :29:36.games. Got Manchester City and Man United to come and then play

:29:37. > :29:41.Tottenham in the FA Cup. Home games for them as well. Looking at the Man

:29:42. > :29:45.United game as a key game away from home, Bournemouth might be tricky.

:29:46. > :29:51.There just so solid, even if they go away from home they might not win,

:29:52. > :29:55.you don't fancy to lose. We are assuming all the other teams will

:29:56. > :29:58.win at the top, which they want. They are playing each other. Spurs

:29:59. > :30:03.keep saying we need to win every game to keep the pressure on

:30:04. > :30:06.Chelsea, they are at Burnley today and five boys better off than this

:30:07. > :30:10.stage last season and still way off the leaders.

:30:11. > :30:17.The form of Chelsea has just been superb, you cannot see them slopping

:30:18. > :30:21.up so much to allow Tottenham or Manchester City, you cannot see it.

:30:22. > :30:26.It's more the fight for the other three Champions League spot is that

:30:27. > :30:29.the season is about. Fourth against seventh, the Merseyside derby, a

:30:30. > :30:41.match with a little bit of history. Liverpool children they say are

:30:42. > :30:49.taught to walk by taking them to football matches. Would you like to

:30:50. > :30:50.play for Liverpool? Everton, the millionaires, money no object to the

:30:51. > :31:07.chairman said. It's going to fall for Andy King!

:31:08. > :31:17.He's got it! Congratulations. Ian Rush good score his fourth. What a

:31:18. > :31:26.fantastic goal! That's a lovely goal!

:31:27. > :31:52.Boats followed up by Mane! Surely that is the goal which will win the

:31:53. > :31:55.Derby! Today's match at Anfield, the first Liverpool home game since the

:31:56. > :32:00.death of former player and coach Ronnie Moran, marked with a minutes

:32:01. > :32:15.applause which we can show you now. He was so well loved at Liverpool,

:32:16. > :32:19.so many generations of players coming through, I know you went to

:32:20. > :32:26.his funeral on Thursday and everyone turned up. It was like a who's Who

:32:27. > :32:31.of players from free, maybe for generations but generally somewhat

:32:32. > :32:39.underrated by a lot of people but not anyone at that football club. He

:32:40. > :32:44.should be up there amongst the legends. A special match day

:32:45. > :32:51.programme as well, lovely piece on him. That was his son in the

:32:52. > :32:56.picture. And a lovely banner. You can see more on that on Match of the

:32:57. > :33:00.Day tonight. In terms of the teams, Liverpool, we have talked a lot

:33:01. > :33:05.about their injury concerns and not having the strongest squad, we knew

:33:06. > :33:11.Adam Lallana would not play, Lucas comes in for him. Firmino and

:33:12. > :33:18.Coutinho both play after long distance international travel. Could

:33:19. > :33:25.that affect them? I think the private plane will have helped! I

:33:26. > :33:29.think it's a huge boost for Liverpool getting was to be up front

:33:30. > :33:32.but Adam Lallana is huge and missing him, and they are without Jordan

:33:33. > :33:37.Henderson as well so it is who has the discipline in midfield. Everton

:33:38. > :33:41.have gone to three at the back, they are without Seamus Coleman and will

:33:42. > :33:48.be for a long time but tactically what is Ronald Koeman thinking? Key

:33:49. > :33:53.is trying to get Ross Barkley, playing like an outside number ten,

:33:54. > :33:59.little triangle alongside Lukaku. The three at the back is

:34:00. > :34:04.interesting, Jagielka in the middle. It's as if you are trying to say at

:34:05. > :34:08.times become a five. Everton have legs which is unusual for them,

:34:09. > :34:13.Gareth Barry on the bench, I think with the legs they have got in the

:34:14. > :34:18.side... I think that is so important, these games are hectic,

:34:19. > :34:24.quite often you don't need a ball for a while which has changed a

:34:25. > :34:29.little bit. They are mad games. I think Liverpool will find it

:34:30. > :34:35.difficult to break Everton down. Could be an interesting one with

:34:36. > :34:39.Pennington, we know about Seamus Coleman but James McCarthy of

:34:40. > :34:45.Everton has cost a bit of a star, Ronald Koeman having a pop at his

:34:46. > :34:49.International side, the treatment from Martin O'Neill and Martin

:34:50. > :34:53.O'Neill came straight back saying a master tactician in the blame game

:34:54. > :34:56.is what he called Ronald Koeman, saying quiet introspection might

:34:57. > :35:04.serve the energy manager and his staff better -- the Everton manager.

:35:05. > :35:12.Did he not lump on the other night for the warm up in the first game?

:35:13. > :35:15.The player himself must flag up the fact he has a problem. James

:35:16. > :35:23.McCarthy has faced criticism regarding his availability for

:35:24. > :35:29.games, I think in the last few games he has proven he is willing to play

:35:30. > :35:32.through it. I can only speak for myself, I targeted international

:35:33. > :35:38.games, if I had injuries I would try to play through desperately wanting

:35:39. > :35:43.to play for Ireland. Turn up, then go to the doctor, if you are not

:35:44. > :35:50.affect you are not fit. I don't think people are going to criticise

:35:51. > :35:55.him because he's not fit, at least... If you asked the player if

:35:56. > :36:02.he is fit and he says he is he will get played. This was 2006, Kevin

:36:03. > :36:10.Kilbane with tricky feat leading to a red card for Steven Gerrard, do

:36:11. > :36:21.you remember this? What a challenge. Second yellow, should have been a

:36:22. > :36:29.second, a straight red. I have heard it said that I was diving but I

:36:30. > :36:32.think that is debatable. That is what the Derby can be about,

:36:33. > :36:41.reaction to that on that match this afternoon.

:36:42. > :36:45.Alan Shearer and Martin Keown in the pundit cheers for Match of the Day

:36:46. > :37:10.tonight. It depends what day it is?

:37:11. > :37:17.Roadworks. It's an extra 15 minutes with all the speed bumps. Cambridge

:37:18. > :37:20.are sinking. This is going to be an unbelievable finish.

:37:21. > :37:32.By the time the boat race starts, Celtic could be Scottish champions

:37:33. > :37:38.after Aberdeen 7-0 win over Dundee United last night they need to beat

:37:39. > :37:39.Hearts for the sixth straight title, their first under Brendan Rodgers

:37:40. > :37:54.who has been speaking to Napoli. We tried to win get the best way we

:37:55. > :37:57.possibly could. For myself and my staff, we wanted to come and do it

:37:58. > :38:04.in our way. I think the players have tried to take that on board, it was

:38:05. > :38:08.going to be our first together. It was important we could do it and

:38:09. > :38:13.really go and attack the league and do it in the best way we possibly

:38:14. > :38:18.could. It's not just about winning here, it's about doing it in a

:38:19. > :38:24.certain way. It's always been that tradition here at Celtic, you go

:38:25. > :38:28.back to the great Lisbon Lions. The European Cup is on its way to

:38:29. > :38:33.Glasgow. They are the pioneers of this club, we will never be as good

:38:34. > :38:38.as them but they have given us a great path to follow. So in order to

:38:39. > :38:42.do what we did and beat the record was special. It was a proud moment

:38:43. > :38:51.but what we wanted to do was not just beat it but go on and set the

:38:52. > :38:56.standard for as long as we could. And Celtic have beaten the record

:38:57. > :39:01.set by the Lisbon Lions. How often do you talk about going unbeaten?

:39:02. > :39:06.The unbeaten one is very difficult, I have always said that, the run we

:39:07. > :39:11.are on has been incredible. It's not an easy thing to do but we want to

:39:12. > :39:15.win every game we play and these players are doing that. If they do

:39:16. > :39:18.not I know they have given everything. For the remainder of the

:39:19. > :39:26.season we are going to push as hard as we have done all season. It's

:39:27. > :39:30.inevitably raised questions about the standard of the league. If you

:39:31. > :39:33.look at a lot of the teams in Europe you normally get one or two teams

:39:34. > :39:39.running away with it. Or you can be is as good as you can. Celtic one of

:39:40. > :39:43.the great clubs in the world, it truly is an institution. The club

:39:44. > :39:50.can do no more off the field. We want to keep pushing on the field.

:39:51. > :39:54.If that means winning the league by five points, 25 points, we will

:39:55. > :40:01.always do the best we can. It seems you have found somewhere you are

:40:02. > :40:05.very comfortable. I love it here, of course, because it really is a dream

:40:06. > :40:10.for me, a boy from Northern Ireland who grew up supporting Celtic and

:40:11. > :40:17.always wanted to play for Celtic but never had the chance. To manage is a

:40:18. > :40:22.real honour, to be here. My whole decision to come to Scotland was

:40:23. > :40:26.based on Glasgow Celtic. But I also had great memories of Liverpool when

:40:27. > :40:30.I was there. Did not end so well but I am very proud that when I meet

:40:31. > :40:35.Liverpool supporters they are very appreciative of the work we had,

:40:36. > :40:39.everyone talks about the season we went close and the level of football

:40:40. > :40:45.and I learned from that as a coach and manager. Maybe one day I will go

:40:46. > :40:49.back to the Premier League but I have come here to try to build

:40:50. > :40:54.something, create something that leaves the club in a better place. I

:40:55. > :40:59.am really happy in my life and like I say, really looking to the future

:41:00. > :41:07.to hopefully keep developing and improving the club. To correct

:41:08. > :41:13.myself, Dundee beaten last night, not Dundee United, my fault, got

:41:14. > :41:17.carried away. As Brendan Rodgers was saying, unbeaten domestic way all

:41:18. > :41:25.season, it's an achievement and it would be important for him to win

:41:26. > :41:29.the title. Most definitely, signing Dembele was a masterstroke, they

:41:30. > :41:36.splashed out on him and he has been a massive bonus. It's no good going

:41:37. > :41:40.on about the league because it is not Celtic's fault that some of the

:41:41. > :41:45.opposition are very ordinarily, you still have to beat them and you can

:41:46. > :41:48.only beat the team in front of you. They had a decent run in the

:41:49. > :41:54.Champions League and next season 's Champions League football but that

:41:55. > :41:57.is the acid test. That is how Brendan Rodgers will be judged, how

:41:58. > :42:02.they perform in the Champions League. Do you think we will see him

:42:03. > :42:06.back in the Premier League in this country? It was good for him to get

:42:07. > :42:10.away after what happened at Liverpool in the end. You cannot say

:42:11. > :42:14.you are out of the limelight managing Celtic but he has stepped

:42:15. > :42:21.away for a for awhile. But I could see him back. I think he would get a

:42:22. > :42:24.job in the Premier definitely. Busy Sunday in the Premier League,

:42:25. > :42:33.another rather tasty offering as Manchester take on Arsenal, the

:42:34. > :42:40.Gunners desperate to take on the top four is the uncertainty over the

:42:41. > :42:44.boss continues. I personally respect him hugely as a manager and think he

:42:45. > :42:51.has done an exceptional, he has had an exceptional career. It's his

:42:52. > :42:56.first season. Once he has been a Manchester City for 20 years we will

:42:57. > :43:01.get the same treatment! I am sure the fans respect a lot what Arsene

:43:02. > :43:06.Wenger has done and is doing. People should understand how difficult it

:43:07. > :43:11.is today, the football, all the teams are well prepared. When the

:43:12. > :43:17.bosses or Arsene Wenger decides to stay our keep going, they believe

:43:18. > :43:26.it's the best solution for Arsenal. I am very clear in my mind, do I

:43:27. > :43:30.stayed two months saute years? My commitment will be exactly the same.

:43:31. > :43:36.At the moment not sorted completely out. It's so much uncertainty around

:43:37. > :43:43.the club at the moment, in their worst run of form in his entire time

:43:44. > :43:47.there. I think it has made them rudderless. When you throw in what

:43:48. > :43:54.has happened with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez's contracts it's a

:43:55. > :43:58.strange situation to be in. I have to say at the moment I don't think

:43:59. > :44:01.they will finish in the top four and that will sully his record because

:44:02. > :44:07.his record in the Champions League is nothing short of sensational. He

:44:08. > :44:13.has been a fantastic manager, you look at it now and you think maybe

:44:14. > :44:17.now is the time. I do not agree with his assessment when he is saying

:44:18. > :44:20.about his own uncertainty not affecting the players because the

:44:21. > :44:24.players are constantly asked, you have to go out and perform for

:44:25. > :44:29.yourself and team-mates but it is affecting the players. Players sit

:44:30. > :44:33.there and you either manager, I am listening to you and I am secretly

:44:34. > :44:39.thinking you might not be here in a few weeks, that is how players are

:44:40. > :44:45.and always will be. Consequently, lost the last four in five, you can

:44:46. > :44:49.understand why. From the Manchester City point of view, Pep Guardiola

:44:50. > :44:54.saying he has great admiration for Sanchez, had him at Barcelona and

:44:55. > :44:57.Chelsea are sniffing around. Our Manchester City finding form at the

:44:58. > :45:03.right time and will be finish the season well? They are exciting to

:45:04. > :45:07.watch, no matter what anyone says about them defensively, the game

:45:08. > :45:12.against Liverpool, either side could have won. Perhaps if they sign one

:45:13. > :45:13.or two more defenders and perhaps get a good goalkeeper they could be

:45:14. > :45:25.serious force. They have been better defensively

:45:26. > :45:32.since they went back to four. Regular players. It's not brain...

:45:33. > :45:37.Rocket science! Man City's women through to the semifinals of the

:45:38. > :45:41.women's Champions League thanks to a 2-0 aggregate lead and a face to

:45:42. > :45:47.holders Lyon in the semifinal on the final is in Cardiff in May. As go to

:45:48. > :45:50.Old Trafford where Manchester United, unbeaten in 18 Premier

:45:51. > :45:55.League games stretching all the way back to October, ten wins, eight

:45:56. > :46:01.draws, up to fifth, West Brom today for them. West Brom have got a good

:46:02. > :46:06.recent record against Manchester United. They do, if West Brom can

:46:07. > :46:10.win this game it would be four seasons in a row that West Bromich

:46:11. > :46:18.Albion would have beaten Manchester United. We remember the last game

:46:19. > :46:22.that Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge, 5-5 draw. Since he has

:46:23. > :46:25.departed, West Brom have beaten Manchester United at least once per

:46:26. > :46:32.season. Big injury problems for Jose Mourinho. Juan Mata has had to have

:46:33. > :46:36.groin surgery, Fellaini picked up a tall injury on international duty

:46:37. > :46:38.and we don't know if he will be involved, Smalling and Jones

:46:39. > :46:42.clattered into each other in training for the national team, so

:46:43. > :46:45.they are both out injured. A long list and then you put in the

:46:46. > :46:50.suspensions to Ibrahimovic and Herrera as well. The week that

:46:51. > :46:55.Bastian Schweinsteiger went to join the MLS, he is the tenor player Jose

:46:56. > :46:58.Mourinho could do with. At the moment, used to be a joke around

:46:59. > :47:05.here that Manchester United never play at three o'clock a Saturday.

:47:06. > :47:11.And the moment, today is their third Premier League game in 48 days. They

:47:12. > :47:15.have been so involved with cup competitions but now it's going to

:47:16. > :47:18.get really busy and this is the sort of nine games in the month of April

:47:19. > :47:26.that could define Manchester United's season. Plenty more

:47:27. > :47:32.tomorrow's EFL Trophy final will see more than 40,000 Coventry City fans

:47:33. > :47:36.heading to Wembley to see the team take on Oxford United. It is a rare

:47:37. > :47:38.ray of sunshine for a club suffering big time. Bottom of League 1 and of

:47:39. > :47:49.the owners. They may be going to Wembley this

:47:50. > :47:51.weekend but there is no sugar-coating Coventry City's

:47:52. > :47:55.decline since. The four seasons in the top flight came to an end in

:47:56. > :48:03.2001, particularly since they were taken over in 2007 by a hedge fund

:48:04. > :48:07.Sisu who had designs on Southampton. No academy based on this year, no

:48:08. > :48:12.stadium to play and from summer next year. Unless things change, there

:48:13. > :48:16.will be no football club. Our stance is the football club's owners need

:48:17. > :48:20.to put the club up for sale, they've had a decade to try to turn this

:48:21. > :48:22.football club around and in that time almost every conceivable merger

:48:23. > :48:29.of the football club has gone backwards. Administration, a year in

:48:30. > :48:34.exile in Northampton, supporter protests, nine permanent managers

:48:35. > :48:45.and now heading for the fourth tier for the first time since 1959. This

:48:46. > :48:48.is a club that is etched in your hand, was the vision that's been

:48:49. > :48:53.sold to you? Getting a really good team and successful team on the

:48:54. > :48:57.pitch but that is in the future. The problem is you know what you've

:48:58. > :49:03.walked into, hence my question. Where does this club go long-term?

:49:04. > :49:08.Obviously that is a question for higher up in the club. You must have

:49:09. > :49:16.asked that, you wouldn't have come back otherwise? For me, all I can

:49:17. > :49:23.affect us on the pitch. The Sky Blues are sky-high! Can you believe

:49:24. > :49:27.the contrast of the club back then until now. There's no escaping the

:49:28. > :49:32.fact we've been very disappointing this year and the club is a lot

:49:33. > :49:36.different to what it was 30 years ago. Just won back-to-back games

:49:37. > :49:41.which was important coming into this, so they feel a bit better

:49:42. > :49:43.about themselves, feel more confident and they believe they can

:49:44. > :49:50.win a football match, Mark has done that in a short space of time.

:49:51. > :49:55.Presumably the fans can appreciate the human effort that has been put

:49:56. > :50:00.in by a procession of managers that are trying their best and also the

:50:01. > :50:04.players. Coventry City is not the owners and most fans are aware of

:50:05. > :50:07.that, Coventry City is run by people who care about this football club,

:50:08. > :50:12.people who are passionate about what they do and many other people in

:50:13. > :50:18.Coventry City do a fantastic job and nobody has said anything different.

:50:19. > :50:24.it is pure escapism this weekend. The possibility of country going out

:50:25. > :50:28.of existence and we have 46,000 fans following them to Wembley. The crowd

:50:29. > :50:32.are so passionate, desperate to cheer them, they don't want to do

:50:33. > :50:35.anything negative. They want to be behind the team in a positive way

:50:36. > :50:40.and they can make such a difference. Sunday is a big opportunity for them

:50:41. > :50:43.to go and enjoy the occasion. It's been 30 years since that happened

:50:44. > :50:47.and you can see what happened last and they were underdogs. One club

:50:48. > :50:54.City, the fact we are taking 40,000 people to Wembley shows what a big

:50:55. > :50:58.club this is. The potential for the future as well. There is real

:50:59. > :51:03.potential. This club will come again, no doubt about that. It's

:51:04. > :51:11.just how long it takes. Proper club hero. Kevin, you ended your career

:51:12. > :51:15.at Coventry, just listen to the fans, you watch the fans on the

:51:16. > :51:20.phone-ins, they are so frustrated and it's understandable. Hard to see

:51:21. > :51:24.a way out, isn't it? At the moment yes, the club has to be sold to move

:51:25. > :51:27.in a different direction. I feel like it's been totally mismanaged

:51:28. > :51:31.since leaving Highfield Road and it seems like an eternity since they

:51:32. > :51:35.left Highfield Road. When I signed for the club you sensed that

:51:36. > :51:39.desperation from what the club wanted to achieve, League 1 at the

:51:40. > :51:44.time, desperate to get back into the Championship but there are no

:51:45. > :51:48.revenues are being generated to give Mark Robins or whoever will manage

:51:49. > :51:51.the club long term the platform to get back into the Championship and

:51:52. > :51:55.then try to get back into the Premier League. They are in a real

:51:56. > :52:00.rot at the moment and in a dire situation. Any money that comes

:52:01. > :52:07.through the gate does not go to the football club? It's a difficult one

:52:08. > :52:13.to assess but essentially the match day revenue, they're not generating

:52:14. > :52:17.it. Who agreed that? This is part of the frustration of the fans. How can

:52:18. > :52:22.you get yourself in a position where you would agree that? They are in a

:52:23. > :52:28.horrible rot at the moment and would be a good weekend if they could win

:52:29. > :52:34.the trophy. Oxford United are taking potentially 30,000 there as well.

:52:35. > :52:42.Great occasion. Avoiding and 40 at all costs! 70,000 people for this

:52:43. > :52:46.game, fantastic. We talked about the Merseyside derby today, we should

:52:47. > :52:51.update you on ago. Sadio Mane with an early goal for Liverpool. 1-0

:52:52. > :52:56.Liverpool is the latest. But let's go to El Clasico. Southampton

:52:57. > :53:01.against Bournemouth, separated by 27 miles and just one place in league.

:53:02. > :53:02.Claude Puel the Southampton manager has been speaking to us about his

:53:03. > :53:12.coaching philosophy. Is the Premier League, has English

:53:13. > :53:17.football lived up to expectations? Of course, it's a great Premier

:53:18. > :53:23.League and the best Championship in the world. A great opportunity to

:53:24. > :53:29.participate against great managers but it's very interesting to train

:53:30. > :53:32.here Naidin. What has it been like been adapting to the English

:53:33. > :53:39.lifestyle? To speaking Bush, it's difficult at the beginning. To find

:53:40. > :53:44.the good words and a good sentence and to give a good message -- to

:53:45. > :53:52.speak English. It's a great place, very interesting. The fans are

:53:53. > :53:57.fantastic. Unlike in England you have the atmosphere around the

:53:58. > :54:02.football. Is it starting to feel at home, Southampton, for you? It's

:54:03. > :54:10.like Monaco, with the sea and the boats, I live in a village, it's

:54:11. > :54:16.beautiful. I like the place, it's a good club, it has a good philosophy.

:54:17. > :54:21.Good academy. It's important for me to work with young players and to

:54:22. > :54:24.develop them and to improve them. You have known Arsene Wenger for a

:54:25. > :54:32.long time. Did you ask him for advice before coming to England? I

:54:33. > :54:40.discussed a little before I signed. He was my former trainer for seven

:54:41. > :54:46.years at Monaco. It's... He's an important man in an important period

:54:47. > :54:51.and he told me that Southampton are fantastic and it was a good

:54:52. > :54:57.challenge for me. I think he is right. You've been involved in some

:54:58. > :55:00.great derbies in your career, the game against Bournemouth coming up,

:55:01. > :55:04.how do you approach that, can that develop into a big derby for

:55:05. > :55:12.Southampton? It's an important game for the fans. The first match, it's

:55:13. > :55:18.important to make the fans happy. It's also important to win this game

:55:19. > :55:24.and to have a good result because it's important to get up the table.

:55:25. > :55:27.He faced a big challenge when you came to the club because Southampton

:55:28. > :55:31.has this reputation as a selling club, selling some of the big stars,

:55:32. > :55:35.how worried are you about the summer and perhaps losing more players? We

:55:36. > :55:40.will see what happens at the end of the season but I think it's

:55:41. > :55:48.important, of course, to try to keep our best players and to continue to

:55:49. > :55:54.develop players and the team. If we sell an important player, it's

:55:55. > :55:59.important to have the solution to replace him but for me and for the

:56:00. > :56:05.club and for Southampton it's important to start with a strong

:56:06. > :56:09.team for the next season, of course. He's had quite a career in France.

:56:10. > :56:15.Come on to the Southampton hot seat and followed their system, which has

:56:16. > :56:19.been so successful. Incredible what they keep on doing. Nobody had

:56:20. > :56:24.really heard of Claude Puel when he came into the Premier League but got

:56:25. > :56:28.them to the League Cup final. The story of Southampton is amazing.

:56:29. > :56:32.Even bringing Gabbiadini NMT looks a real find. Overall the whole

:56:33. > :56:37.structure of the club, they're almost like the benchmark for a lot

:56:38. > :56:42.of others. Eddie Howe Manager of the Month for March but they've never

:56:43. > :56:50.ever won at Southampton. Ever. Have they played their much? 12 times.

:56:51. > :56:56.Not an impressive stat! The image of the week, if you haven't seen it,

:56:57. > :56:59.this is Cristiano Ronaldo. The thing behind him is meant to be Cristiano

:57:00. > :57:06.Ronaldo. Here it is full frame at the airport which is being named

:57:07. > :57:15.after the Portuguese star. And this is Niall Quinn. What do you think?

:57:16. > :57:22.Ronaldo is not too proud of that. Have a look at this. What do you

:57:23. > :57:28.think? I'm not accepting that's been run on Football Focus! What about

:57:29. > :57:38.the goalkeeper? Third touch of the game. Mohammed. Look how far the

:57:39. > :57:43.goalkeeper as a way. Don't talk to him about it! That's it for this

:57:44. > :57:48.week, we'll see you next Saturday at midday. Predictions of a Chelsea fan

:57:49. > :58:02.who like Jason hits a decent deadbolt. -- dead ball.

:58:03. > :58:08.I like goals when you have to watch them again and again. Gianfranco is

:58:09. > :58:18.although's backheel against Norwich, fourth round of the cup. I watch it

:58:19. > :58:27.on YouTube once a month. Conti's and hair transplant is amazing. I didn't

:58:28. > :58:33.even realise it was a transplant, it's only when I saw clips of him. I

:58:34. > :58:38.don't know how he's maintained it. I'm hoping for a Burnley win.

:58:39. > :58:45.Tottenham are too good at the moment, I think Burnley will score.

:58:46. > :58:54.West Brom didn't surprise anyone by beating Arsenal and I think it's

:58:55. > :59:02.time for another surprise,. Palace are going to come out fighting. Zaha

:59:03. > :59:04.will impress. I don't think they will score under think Chelsea will

:59:05. > :59:07.run out easy winners.
