0:00:38 > 0:00:41Welcome to Football Focus.
0:00:41 > 0:00:45We have a global pick and mix to light up an Autumnal lunchtime.
0:00:47 > 0:00:52Fresh from captaining Brazil, Chelsea's Willian on those
0:00:52 > 0:00:59post-title Blues and his big pal.
0:00:59 > 0:01:05I know he sees since he was eight years old. He's my friend, I love
0:01:05 > 0:01:06him.
0:01:06 > 0:01:1218 months after being Footballer of the Year.
0:01:12 > 0:01:16Leicester's Mahrez on the Foxes new leader.
0:01:16 > 0:01:18Obviously it changes things.
0:01:18 > 0:01:20We have some Yorkshire
0:01:20 > 0:01:21grit from Liverpool's Mr Versatile.
0:01:21 > 0:01:23Only 1 defeat all season in League 1.
0:01:23 > 0:01:28The scissors behind Shewsbury's success.
0:01:28 > 0:01:35This is Ian.Hello, Ian.This is our club captain.And there's this
0:01:35 > 0:01:44bloke.Mark Lawrenson, who's your daddy? !
0:01:44 > 0:01:46And Lawro is here to take on Will Ferrell.
0:01:46 > 0:01:49And the the gifts keep coming; we have an Arsenal
0:01:49 > 0:01:50legend in the studio.
0:01:50 > 0:01:51Not you Martin.
0:01:51 > 0:01:52Gilberto Silva is here.
0:01:52 > 0:01:54And if that's not enough, we'll be live with Kenny Dalglish
0:01:54 > 0:01:56later in the show.
0:01:56 > 0:01:58We'd like you to send your questions for the great man.
0:01:58 > 0:01:59Send them to.
0:01:59 > 0:02:00#footballfocus.
0:02:00 > 0:02:02We'll put some of those to Kenny later.
0:02:02 > 0:02:05Let's start with the news overnight that Chris Coleman has left Wales
0:02:05 > 0:02:08to take over as Manager of Sunderland at the bottom
0:02:08 > 0:02:09of the Championship.
0:02:09 > 0:02:15He became the Welsh boss back in 2012.
0:02:15 > 0:02:18And will go down as the most successful manager in his country's
0:02:18 > 0:02:20history after leading Wales to the European Championship's
0:02:20 > 0:02:22semi-final last summer - the highpoint that unforgettable 3-1
0:02:22 > 0:02:26win over Belgium in the quarter-finals.
0:02:26 > 0:02:30He took them from 48th in the world rankings up to their current 14th
0:02:30 > 0:02:35and they just missed out on the World Cup next summer.
0:02:35 > 0:02:38He obviously has managed Fulham and Real Zaragoza in the past.
0:02:38 > 0:02:43Wales players upset by his departure.
0:02:43 > 0:02:46Is this a coup for Sunderland, getting someone like Chris Coleman
0:02:46 > 0:02:51whose stock is very high at the moment?I think it is. He's
0:02:51 > 0:02:55well-equipped, did a great job for Wales, it's gone a bit sour. He
0:02:55 > 0:02:59needs a new challenge. Sunderland are in all sorts of trouble. That
0:02:59 > 0:03:03club is on a slippery slide, it needs correcting urgently. All sorts
0:03:03 > 0:03:05of trouble in capital letters because, look at the managers they
0:03:05 > 0:03:09had that haven't been able to turn it around. I thought he would have
0:03:09 > 0:03:13waited a little bit longer and to get a club in a better position, but
0:03:13 > 0:03:16that is one heck of a job.Really interesting to see how that
0:03:16 > 0:03:20develops. We shall of course keep an eye on that.
0:03:20 > 0:03:23The North London derby is the early kick off today and we'll be
0:03:23 > 0:03:26talking about that shortly.
0:03:26 > 0:03:28David Unsworth is still in temporary charge of Everton as they travel
0:03:28 > 0:03:30to bottom club Crystal Palace.
0:03:30 > 0:03:33The leaders Manchester City travel to Leicester, where they took
0:03:33 > 0:03:35a thumping last season.
0:03:35 > 0:03:39David Moyes will be in charge of West Ham for the first time
0:03:39 > 0:03:42as they go to Watford tomorrow, but we start at one
0:03:42 > 0:03:43of the days 3 O'clock.
0:03:43 > 0:03:45Where struggling West Brom face Chelsea.
0:03:45 > 0:03:48Caroline De Moreas has been to see one of the humans who lives
0:03:48 > 0:03:55on the Blues Planet.
0:03:58 > 0:04:03It's amazing.Willian scores for Chelsea.Since I arrive here, the
0:04:03 > 0:04:09treatment by the fans was amazing. Blue is the colour of the Premier
0:04:09 > 0:04:14League winners... How settled do you feel because I
0:04:14 > 0:04:19know you've got twin girls and they must be going to school now?I love
0:04:19 > 0:04:26to live in London. They enjoy a lot. I enjoy a lot as well so when I
0:04:26 > 0:04:30finish my career, maybe I can live in London.Nice. So you've got used
0:04:30 > 0:04:35to the weather then?Yes, the weather is not so good, but... I
0:04:35 > 0:04:41love the city.On the team, you are very close to David Luiz, you live
0:04:41 > 0:04:48opposite each other?I'm tired of him!Hey guys, welcome to training,
0:04:48 > 0:04:58beautiful day. Let's enjoy with my bro.I know him since I was eight
0:04:58 > 0:05:02years old, so he's my big friend. I love him.Nowadays in football,
0:05:02 > 0:05:06there is a lot of squad rotation. How to you handle that?We want to
0:05:06 > 0:05:12play every game, of course, but I respect every decision because we
0:05:12 > 0:05:18have great players in this squad. You have to respect the coach's
0:05:18 > 0:05:24decision. Every player wants to play.Last season, of course, was
0:05:24 > 0:05:32fantastic and with that comes an expectation and pressure? It's
0:05:32 > 0:05:39difficult to play when you fought for the title because every team
0:05:39 > 0:05:46wants to win.You are very active on social media. Do you see all of the
0:05:46 > 0:05:52comments and how do they make you feel? When we win, yes, of course I
0:05:52 > 0:05:58have a look but when we lost, no. LAUGHTER.
0:05:58 > 0:06:02And you posted a picture of John Terry's shirt that he sent you and
0:06:02 > 0:06:06it was signed with a really nice message. Do you think the dressing
0:06:06 > 0:06:16room misses him?For me, I miss him. I miss him a lot. Because he is a
0:06:16 > 0:06:22legend with a great heart so yes, I miss him a lot.
0:06:24 > 0:06:31Good ball, good header. Good goal! Morata scores for Chelsea. You won
0:06:31 > 0:06:34against Manchester United. Where does that leave Chelsea in the title
0:06:34 > 0:06:41race?That game was strong mentally so that is why we win, we create
0:06:41 > 0:06:45some chances and we score a goal. I think we have to continue in the
0:06:45 > 0:06:50same way. Do you think it's still a reality
0:06:50 > 0:06:57that Chelsea could win the league this season? It's difficult.
0:06:57 > 0:07:06Manchester City play very well. I think we can fight for the title.
0:07:11 > 0:07:16Interesting stuff. While we were watching that, you asked a question,
0:07:16 > 0:07:21say it again so the view, can hear. Do you think Willian's been unlucky
0:07:21 > 0:07:27not to start as much as he could for Jose?I'm sure it's hard for him
0:07:27 > 0:07:34being on the bench, seeing the team play. I think he could have a chance
0:07:34 > 0:07:42to be in the squad. Especially now a player of his ability is looking for
0:07:42 > 0:07:50the World Cup next year in Russia, to play for Brazil. Also, it's like
0:07:50 > 0:07:52both hard combinations because, while he's not playing for Chelsea,
0:07:52 > 0:08:02he also is not playing for Brazil. Hazard plays, either him or Hazard
0:08:02 > 0:08:06and that's difficult.Morata plays up top with Hazard. They're almost
0:08:06 > 0:08:10detached from the rest of the team and he wants that pace. He's
0:08:10 > 0:08:15unlucky. He's an outstanding player. A he'd be starting in most Premier
0:08:15 > 0:08:19League teams easily. He was the subject of a bid from Manchester
0:08:19 > 0:08:23United, talk of him possibly going to China as well to play football in
0:08:23 > 0:08:27the future. But you wouldn't go to play in China if it's World Cup
0:08:27 > 0:08:34year, would you?Well, you would go for the money...Really, go for the
0:08:34 > 0:08:41money to China? Whatever next? Well in World Cup year... Why would you
0:08:41 > 0:08:45risk playing for Brazil in Russia at the World Cup by going to China? You
0:08:45 > 0:08:50can go to China when you're 82, can't you.
0:08:56 > 0:09:01You talk about players who don't get a game.
0:09:01 > 0:09:03Has he gone of the boil for Chelsea this season?
0:09:03 > 0:09:06David Luiz; rumours that he's unhappy and off to Old Trafford.
0:09:06 > 0:09:13Captained Brazil this week.
0:09:13 > 0:09:18How integral do you think he has been? When he return to Chelsea from
0:09:18 > 0:09:21PSG, he looks better playing for Chelsea. He plays in his natural
0:09:21 > 0:09:30position as a centre back. Before he took so many risks and put himself
0:09:30 > 0:09:36out of a position, he tried to get the ball and two forward. I'm sure
0:09:36 > 0:09:41the experience from being out in the squad and comparing maybe the league
0:09:41 > 0:09:48and the teams, I think that was a great decision for him to come back.
0:09:48 > 0:09:51Everyone embraced him.He has something though. He has a spirit.
0:09:51 > 0:09:56The last time we were together was in the World Cup Germany absolutely
0:09:56 > 0:09:59battered them, he had an awful night. He's come back a long way
0:09:59 > 0:10:03from that. He needs to be in the middle. He's not a natural defender.
0:10:03 > 0:10:10Three is probably his best position. If you see him in this position, as
0:10:10 > 0:10:14he's playing, he has somebody in front of him who can protect him.
0:10:14 > 0:10:20Any other defender, that helps a lot.There are rumours of
0:10:20 > 0:10:22unhappiness at Chelsea. You have also been there and continued to
0:10:22 > 0:10:26win. How much of that is about mentality in the squad and the
0:10:26 > 0:10:30design?All of it is about mentality because you are presuming if you
0:10:30 > 0:10:34have won you have the ability in terms of the players. It comes from
0:10:34 > 0:10:38within. The other thing with Chelsea, it's a little bit like how
0:10:38 > 0:10:41you look at them and you're thinking every little problem now is a major
0:10:41 > 0:10:44problem because they're not top of the league, they're still a very,
0:10:44 > 0:10:48very good side.Their system, everyone's found it out, the five at
0:10:48 > 0:10:51the back, it was in vogue last year but not now. We should all be
0:10:51 > 0:10:54looking at City and how they play. Funnily enough England are now
0:10:54 > 0:10:58playing with a five at the back but I think it's almost 12 months too
0:10:58 > 0:11:05late.If you take Costa out of any team, because he's a piece of work,
0:11:05 > 0:11:09even if he doesn't play, he occupies people, he's a street fighter and
0:11:09 > 0:11:15Morata's a very good player, but he's not Costa.
0:11:17 > 0:11:19Their recent form doesn't look pretty.
0:11:19 > 0:11:21Just 2 wins in 20 matches.
0:11:21 > 0:11:23Steve Bower is at the Hawthorns.
0:11:23 > 0:11:30He's lost a couple of players to injury as well.
0:11:30 > 0:11:34The fans aren't happy?There is no doubt the natives aren't hatch pill
0:11:34 > 0:11:40at the moment because of the list of results you have mentioned -- aren't
0:11:40 > 0:11:45happy. Tony Pulis smoke well yesterday in terms of expectation
0:11:45 > 0:11:50and what a common theme. He got them to tenth last season. Six months ago
0:11:50 > 0:11:54ironically this was the fixture where Chelsea clinched the title and
0:11:54 > 0:11:59West Brom were comfortably on their way to a top ten finish. For both
0:11:59 > 0:12:04clubs, the memories seem distant. West Brom didn't finish last season
0:12:04 > 0:12:09well, they've only won two of the last 20. Tony Pulis making the point
0:12:09 > 0:12:13of the situation they were in. The players haven't been available to
0:12:13 > 0:12:17him. Only Rodriguez has scored more than one Premier League goal. Chadli
0:12:17 > 0:12:22is out today. He might have Burke back for his debut which would be a
0:12:22 > 0:12:26boost but when you look at West Brom and where they've been in the past,
0:12:26 > 0:12:30I think he's missing Fletcher's influence as well this season on and
0:12:30 > 0:12:33particularly off the pitch. Going forward, he hasn't had the best
0:12:33 > 0:12:37players available. When you look at the season, they finished eighth
0:12:37 > 0:12:40under Steve Clark, ironically against Chelsea today that was down
0:12:40 > 0:12:47mainly to the goals from one on-loan Romelu Lukaku. They haven't scored
0:12:47 > 0:12:53goals in ten of those 20 games. Sometimes perception can outweigh
0:12:53 > 0:12:57reaction and what is reality in. The next two games, not looking good for
0:12:57 > 0:13:01Tony Pulis, Chelsea at home today and Spurs away next. He'd love
0:13:01 > 0:13:07nothing more than to put one over the big boys.A tough few weeks
0:13:07 > 0:13:08ahead.
0:13:10 > 0:13:12Time to head to North London for a derby which Gilberto rather
0:13:12 > 0:13:15enjoyed back in 2006, the first time it was
0:13:15 > 0:13:23played at the Emirates.
0:13:23 > 0:13:27152nd North London Derby, the first in this stadium where no away side's
0:13:27 > 0:13:31yet won. He's on side Adebayor. First real chance of the game for
0:13:31 > 0:13:38Arsenal. He takes it!Fabregas. Quickly to Roz inski. Chimbonda.
0:13:38 > 0:13:45Challenge goes in. A penalty kick. Gilberto. The Arsenal captain here.
0:13:45 > 0:13:50Beats Robinson.Van Persie makes the forward run. Van Persie. Pulled
0:13:50 > 0:13:58down, was he? Another penalty kick. Gilberto for a 3-0 lead in the North
0:13:58 > 0:14:06London Derby. Arsenal 3-0 Tottenham Hotspur.
0:14:06 > 0:14:08Happy memories for Arsenal fans.
0:14:08 > 0:14:09Jonathan Pearce was watching that one.
0:14:09 > 0:14:11And he's there again today.
0:14:11 > 0:14:13Thankfully the sound quality has improved in the last decade
0:14:13 > 0:14:15and JP has the teams.
0:14:15 > 0:14:20How Arsenal could do with a holding midfield player like Silva these
0:14:20 > 0:14:27days. Their team changes though, Lacazette starting for the first
0:14:27 > 0:14:31time this season. Arsenal looking to extend their ten-match Emirates win
0:14:31 > 0:14:35record of course. Mustafi is fit after six weeks out with a hamstring
0:14:35 > 0:14:40injury. Welbeck is fit enough for the bench. Giroud and Walcott are
0:14:40 > 0:14:48sidelined. Giroud on international duty. Walcott's fallen ill. Harry
0:14:48 > 0:15:00Kane's fit. Lloris and Ali over their injuries. Wink is only OK for
0:15:00 > 0:15:06the bench. Dembele starts in the league for the first time since
0:15:06 > 0:15:12August. Is Pochettino the future? Arsene Wenger a glorious past. Spurs
0:15:12 > 0:15:18top doing in London last season. Today will be a big signpost game to
0:15:18 > 0:15:20see whether that supremacy will be long-term.
0:15:26 > 0:15:30Thank you, Jonathan. Let's show you the Arsenal team here. You claimed
0:15:30 > 0:15:36this week that only four of this side would get into a combined 11.
0:15:36 > 0:15:43Oceana, Bellerin, Ramsey and Sanchez. He is lucky to be on that
0:15:43 > 0:15:48side, Bellerin, but I do feel that Sanchez should be in there. There
0:15:48 > 0:15:52are three good defenders at Tottenham. We are talking about this
0:15:52 > 0:15:58because it is almost the demise for Arsenal now, and Tottenham are
0:15:58 > 0:16:01striving for excellence, it really is an outstanding team, but it could
0:16:01 > 0:16:05maybe go wrong for Tottenham today. Arsenal at home are totally
0:16:05 > 0:16:09different animal, with the fans behind them, vociferous, I think
0:16:09 > 0:16:14Arsenal will turn it around. I think they can pull it off today. Arsene
0:16:14 > 0:16:18Wenger has to be positive. We were in a dressing room that had lots of
0:16:18 > 0:16:22winners and people believing in what they did, and they need that belief
0:16:22 > 0:16:26today.Do you share Martin's optimism? Spurs fans have many
0:16:26 > 0:16:29reasons to be very positive going into this game and looking at the
0:16:29 > 0:16:35rest of the season as well, Gilberto.Yes, as you see the
0:16:35 > 0:16:38progression of the team year by year, it is something that we have
0:16:38 > 0:16:45to respect. But the other thing that Martin said, it is a good point for
0:16:45 > 0:16:50Arsenal when they go for this kind of game, and you have the
0:16:50 > 0:16:55possibility of achieving many things. This is a must win game for
0:16:55 > 0:17:00us. If they want to have better ambition from the position they are
0:17:00 > 0:17:05at the moment, how they want to finish for the next year.I remember
0:17:05 > 0:17:11talking to you at the FA Cup final last season. You were coy about the
0:17:11 > 0:17:13future of Arsene Wenger, understandably. Have you seen
0:17:13 > 0:17:16improvement this season, all reasons to think he might be there for a
0:17:16 > 0:17:22longer time, and the club are moving in the right direction? So, the
0:17:22 > 0:17:29last, some of the results they have had fun now, it's always going
0:17:29 > 0:17:33against him, if they don't win the game, if they draw the game, always
0:17:33 > 0:17:41the pressure is on. And any time he loses the game, it is not Arsenal
0:17:41 > 0:17:48lose the game, it is Arsene for many people, and it increases the
0:17:48 > 0:17:52pressure. But I'm sure he is confident in what he is doing. He
0:17:52 > 0:17:58has the backing he needs to support him through this season.I think the
0:17:58 > 0:18:03problem is he is 12 points behind Man City, and the Gulf in class
0:18:03 > 0:18:06between the teams, it is difficult for him to run away from that
0:18:06 > 0:18:12question. Sanchez and Ozil's contracts are up at the end of the
0:18:12 > 0:18:17season, he is halfway through a two-year deal.Manchester City are
0:18:17 > 0:18:22ahead of everyone, though. These two would walk into the current Arsenal
0:18:22 > 0:18:27team, and I think therein lies the problem, which is everybody believes
0:18:27 > 0:18:30they have got very good players but they have got a soft centre. And
0:18:30 > 0:18:36what about Spurs? Every week we seem to pick out a different Spurs player
0:18:36 > 0:18:40to highlight, and Ericsson, the hat-trick for Denmark against the
0:18:40 > 0:18:42Republic of Ireland. There are many there you could pick out and say
0:18:42 > 0:18:47they will have a great game.I didn't read the article that he
0:18:47 > 0:18:53wrote, I saw the headline which was, Spurs need to win something. Even
0:18:53 > 0:18:57coming from an ex-Arsenal man, that is absolutely right. If they don't
0:18:57 > 0:19:04win something this year, as good a side as they are, your Real Madrids
0:19:04 > 0:19:08will come knocking, your Barcelonas, we know they will want the players.
0:19:08 > 0:19:13Since Pochettino went to Spurs, for all the talk of Spurs playing great
0:19:13 > 0:19:17football, and they are, Arsenal have won two trophies, and Spurs have yet
0:19:17 > 0:19:24to pick up any silver.Yes, and with Lawro they won trophies, and that
0:19:24 > 0:19:27cements you as a club, and they haven't had that yet, they are
0:19:27 > 0:19:31unfulfilled as a club, and they need that to stay together as a group, or
0:19:31 > 0:19:42clubs will come calling. So many good players in there, Dembele,
0:19:42 > 0:19:44Kieron Dyer, so many good options for Pochettino, and again, can they
0:19:44 > 0:19:47keep the manager? They are the second best team in the league,
0:19:47 > 0:19:52behind city.Thank you for the moment, gentlemen. Time now to
0:19:52 > 0:19:55concentrate on a Liverpool team in fifth.
0:19:55 > 0:19:58This week, James Milner was honoured at the Northwest Football Awards
0:19:58 > 0:20:01for the terrific work he does to raise money with
0:20:01 > 0:20:01the James Milner Foundation.
0:20:01 > 0:20:04We sent along a lifelong Liverpool fan and Olympic gold
0:20:04 > 0:20:06medallist for a chat.
0:20:11 > 0:20:18I'm Sam Quek, and I was born and raised just around the corner here
0:20:18 > 0:20:22where the spirit of the great Bill Shankly still lives on today, so I
0:20:22 > 0:20:25am going to pop inside and have a chat with Liverpool midfielder and
0:20:25 > 0:20:28one of my favourite players from last season, James Milner. You were
0:20:28 > 0:20:33my Liverpool Player of the Season last season, a solid left-back, you
0:20:33 > 0:20:37can play any position on the pitch, and to do that you have to be a
0:20:37 > 0:20:41quality player, this season you haven't started any match -- every
0:20:41 > 0:20:47match, but when you do, you are a top player.I have been lucky enough
0:20:47 > 0:20:51to be playing 15 years, I realise careers are short, 15 years is a
0:20:51 > 0:20:55long time, but I remember all the players when I started, saying I was
0:20:55 > 0:20:59fantastic, you just want to enjoy it and play as much as you can. Last
0:20:59 > 0:21:02year I played left-back and it wasn't my first choice, but the team
0:21:02 > 0:21:07comes first, and hopefully I can get my way into the midfield and helped
0:21:07 > 0:21:12Liverpool be successful. COMMENTATOR: Sessegnon's cross, and
0:21:12 > 0:21:15Rhian Brewster, the Liverpool striker with his eighth goal of this
0:21:15 > 0:21:22under 17 is World Cup. England are the under 17 World Cup winners.
0:21:22 > 0:21:26One of the big things that happened this year was the under 17 England
0:21:26 > 0:21:30lads went and won the World Cup. What advice would you give those
0:21:30 > 0:21:34youngsters making names for themselves going forward?Amazing
0:21:34 > 0:21:39achievement to go and win a World Cup at any level, and that is the
0:21:39 > 0:21:42danger now, the distractions and expectations that go on shoulders,
0:21:42 > 0:21:46people saying, get them in your squad straightaway. They need to
0:21:46 > 0:21:49keep working hard, keep their heads down and keep doing what they are
0:21:49 > 0:21:53doing, surround themselves with the right people, because everyone wants
0:21:53 > 0:21:57a piece of the success, agents, media, criticism, it is all part of
0:21:57 > 0:22:01it and you have to learn to deal with that, and you need good people
0:22:01 > 0:22:04around you, that is massive, surround yourself with the right
0:22:04 > 0:22:08people, keep your head down and work hard and keep striving to achieve
0:22:08 > 0:22:11what you want to achieve, because that is the first step of a long
0:22:11 > 0:22:15path.Is a fellow athlete, people think the road to success is easy,
0:22:15 > 0:22:20but it's not, it is ups and downs, and you experience that at England
0:22:20 > 0:22:23and club level. What advice would you give to the youngsters who may
0:22:23 > 0:22:28not have that easy road to where they want to get?I would say, like
0:22:28 > 0:22:31you know yourself, it is peaks and troughs throughout your career, you
0:22:31 > 0:22:35are flying one minute and then the next minute, injury or out of favour
0:22:35 > 0:22:39with the manager or anything like that. Something outside of football
0:22:39 > 0:22:43which people never think about, we are humans as well, and there are
0:22:43 > 0:22:46things going on outside your life which might affect you as well. It
0:22:46 > 0:22:50is ups and downs, but one thing you do know in sport, things change so
0:22:50 > 0:23:00quickly, and it is about doing the right things, preparing the right
0:23:00 > 0:23:04way, keep that even keel and working hard.Where do you see Liverpool
0:23:04 > 0:23:06Football Club at the end of the season, what is the minimum
0:23:06 > 0:23:11expectation?We have been up and down, we have had a lot of injuries,
0:23:11 > 0:23:15Adam Lallana is coming back now and that is fantastic for us, he is a
0:23:15 > 0:23:18massive player for us. If we can keep everyone fit, now is the
0:23:18 > 0:23:20business part of the season, going through Christmas, a lot of games,
0:23:20 > 0:23:27and we will have a better idea coming out of Christmas, so
0:23:27 > 0:23:32hopefully we can do that for Liverpool Football Club.
0:23:32 > 0:23:37He's positive about the return of Adam Lallana.
0:23:37 > 0:23:43What would you give them out of ten this season?Six and a half, I would
0:23:43 > 0:23:49say. The report at school, must do better. We know defensively they
0:23:49 > 0:23:54have not been great, and the guys across midfield in front of the
0:23:54 > 0:23:57defence haven't exactly been a shield of iron, so the strength
0:23:57 > 0:24:03going forward, as every body knows, Lallana coming back will be massive.
0:24:03 > 0:24:07When you look at the selection of players they have available to play,
0:24:07 > 0:24:13the forward-thinking players, they can almost have two teams of those.
0:24:13 > 0:24:17Sala has almost been the signing of the summer.Would you play him with
0:24:17 > 0:24:23Lallana?Yes, you have to get him into the team, we have seen Gomez
0:24:23 > 0:24:27playing midweek England, wires he playing right back?He has played
0:24:27 > 0:24:30centre-back a few times. Not enough. Put him in the middle and give him
0:24:30 > 0:24:35the reins. I think Jurgen Klopp has not been well this week.He read
0:24:35 > 0:24:43your article! It will be a lot better when he goes into the middle.
0:24:43 > 0:24:46Even Gilberto read that article. He was in hospital, he was surprised
0:24:46 > 0:24:52how much attention that got, but he is out and enjoying things again. On
0:24:52 > 0:24:55that Liverpool midfield, it is great that you are on today. Coutinho, how
0:24:55 > 0:25:00important is he for Liverpool, and also that he stays at the club, his
0:25:00 > 0:25:06future is essential?I think it is good for him to stay this year for
0:25:06 > 0:25:11Liverpool, it is hard because he is very tempted for the club, when some
0:25:11 > 0:25:20club like Barcelona approach, they want to take him to the club. And if
0:25:20 > 0:25:25Barcelona wants him, what shall I do? But I think he was right to
0:25:25 > 0:25:32stay. And make the change one year before the World Cup for his
0:25:32 > 0:25:37aspirations, the national team for Brazil. Maybe it is quite risky. He
0:25:37 > 0:25:40plays differently when he plays for Brazil, he plays a little deeper to
0:25:40 > 0:25:46free Neymar up, is that right? The combination of the Bose is amazing,
0:25:46 > 0:25:52because they know each other, since when they play in the early days in
0:25:52 > 0:26:00the national team. And it is amazing, but Coutinho, he has a lot
0:26:00 > 0:26:08of vitality, and I'm sure taking this decision to stay at Liverpool,
0:26:08 > 0:26:15to help the team and then for us, the country, Brazil, he is amazing.
0:26:15 > 0:26:19They had a history of that with Suarez, he was convinced by Brendan
0:26:19 > 0:26:24Rodgers at the time to stay for the year, and then he went. So he might
0:26:24 > 0:26:27continue, like the NFL in America, here's what they call a franchise
0:26:27 > 0:26:34player, he is that good.I think in the summer when the World Cup comes
0:26:34 > 0:26:37around, Coutinho will be a shining light. It has been a bit difficult
0:26:37 > 0:26:40the Liverpool this season, but wait until the summer, he is a special
0:26:40 > 0:26:46player.Why are you smiling?I wondered what he was going to say!I
0:26:46 > 0:26:52want to show you this from one of Southampton's Moroccan players.
0:26:52 > 0:26:56Extremely impressive keepy-uppy with the academy in Southampton. The lad
0:26:56 > 0:27:00at the end backs away, which I find quite interesting, a lot of pressure
0:27:00 > 0:27:09at that point, but very impressive. And the obvious celebrations! So,
0:27:09 > 0:27:11Liverpool, Southampton, at Anfield later, but for the Blues on
0:27:11 > 0:27:14Merseyside, heart rate have probably only just returned to normal after
0:27:14 > 0:27:21their match against Watford last time out.
0:27:21 > 0:27:27COMMENTATOR: Here is a great chance for Richarlison, and he is away
0:27:27 > 0:27:33Hickford! And they have the lead. It is hard to see anyway back for
0:27:33 > 0:27:36Everton in match.
0:27:39 > 0:27:43A great chance for a goal here now, and it is in the back of the net and
0:27:43 > 0:27:52Everton are back in the match at 2-1. And the header at the far post!
0:27:52 > 0:27:57And Everton are level, Dominic Calvert-Lewin. A chance to win the
0:27:57 > 0:28:05game, surely? It is Leighton Baines. It is 3-2 to Everton, an incredible
0:28:05 > 0:28:10turnaround. Richarlison, he goes down, and Watford have got a
0:28:10 > 0:28:17penalty, I don't believe it! And can Tom Cleverley do it? No, he can't,
0:28:17 > 0:28:20and David Unsworth finally has a win.
0:28:21 > 0:28:23A first win for David Unsworth, but the Everton hierarchy obviously
0:28:23 > 0:28:26liked what they saw from Watford as they've spent this week
0:28:26 > 0:28:27trying to get Marco Silva.
0:28:27 > 0:28:33A rumoured £10 million offer turned down.
0:28:33 > 0:28:39But Watford boss was coy when asked about his future yesterday.I'm not
0:28:39 > 0:28:43going to talk about, I'm going to talk about what is important for us
0:28:43 > 0:28:51again. I am here to talk about the West Ham match, I understand your
0:28:51 > 0:28:53questions and everybody wants to talk about the situation. If you
0:28:53 > 0:29:00want to talk to me about Everton, it is not the club where I work, where
0:29:00 > 0:29:10I stay, it is a big club, nothing more. The Watford game is tomorrow.
0:29:10 > 0:29:14It would be a blow for them if they were loose him after the start of
0:29:14 > 0:29:18the season.Yes, there has been a revolving door at Watford, managers
0:29:18 > 0:29:24coming and going, my be some of their own medicine, and is he the
0:29:24 > 0:29:28right man for the job? Talk of £10 million. It doesn't look like he is
0:29:28 > 0:29:32staying at Watford after that press Conference. But the last result has
0:29:32 > 0:29:37given him a bit more time to make that decision.Watford take on West
0:29:37 > 0:29:43Ham this weekend, and he will face a former Everton manager in David
0:29:43 > 0:29:47Moyes, whose first game in charge at West Ham. How big an opportunity is
0:29:47 > 0:29:52this for him after what has happened in recent jobs?He knows it is his
0:29:52 > 0:29:59big opportunity to get back in, but also to be successful, but of course
0:29:59 > 0:30:04success is always relative. You can always tell with him, with his eyes,
0:30:04 > 0:30:13there was a dullness in him after Manchester United, Sociedad, etc.
0:30:13 > 0:30:17But he can do well with West Ham. He is probably a really good choice, I
0:30:17 > 0:30:21am bound to say that, but he is probably a really good choice at the
0:30:21 > 0:30:25right time, taking the job at the right time.It is important that
0:30:25 > 0:30:28West Ham fans get behind whoever the manager is. It is a very difficult
0:30:28 > 0:30:32place to go to now just for the home players, and it can't be like that.
0:30:32 > 0:30:36They have to get behind the team now.But your man Arsene Wenger
0:30:36 > 0:30:43said, when you a couple of years, and they are still in that now.And
0:30:43 > 0:30:49we have another Brazilian to talk about. Richarlison, he started in
0:30:49 > 0:30:53that sane team you started in? Really highly rated as well. Is it
0:30:53 > 0:30:57felt the same way back in Brazil, people think of a real star of the
0:30:57 > 0:31:06future?If you compare him to some other strikers in Europe, he's that
0:31:06 > 0:31:14type of player. Quite similar to Adriano with his physical strength
0:31:14 > 0:31:19and I'm quite impressed the way he's started here because it's not so
0:31:19 > 0:31:24easy, especially because he's too young and just arrived.
0:31:25 > 0:31:28Another side enjoying some Brazilian flair are Manchester City.
0:31:28 > 0:31:31They've certainly got Noel purring.
0:31:48 > 0:31:56MUSIC They're just on another planet.
0:31:56 > 0:32:03They're playing like cosmic football.It's a brilliant one.
0:32:03 > 0:32:07Egypth enof the penalty area. Federal nan teen owe. Caught it
0:32:07 > 0:32:13well. Caught it very well!Very, very high standard has been set at
0:32:13 > 0:32:17this moment in time and I can't see it changing.Where testimony end is
0:32:17 > 0:32:22anyone's guess.This is the most glorious attacking football side I
0:32:22 > 0:32:28can ever remember and I've done this job for a number of years!Kevin De
0:32:28 > 0:32:39Bruyne.They can play that well. He's one of the most happiest men
0:32:39 > 0:32:48I've ever met.Silva. Tap-in for two.Once this era finishes, he'll
0:32:48 > 0:32:54go down as a legend. If they don't put up a statue of him, I'll put one
0:32:54 > 0:33:04up and I'll pay for it.He has a hat trick.
0:33:05 > 0:33:07Noel was talking to BBC Music News Live.
0:33:07 > 0:33:10Keep your eyes peeled for that Aguero statue.
0:33:10 > 0:33:13What have you made of the way he has settled into that City side?
0:33:13 > 0:33:21One of the best starts in PL history behind Kevin Phillips and Andy Cole.
0:33:21 > 0:33:25For a young man he's made a real impact in Manchester City?Yes, you
0:33:25 > 0:33:33know. I look back on him and see him, I just mentioned before, four
0:33:33 > 0:33:39years ago in the World Cup in Brazil he was just painting the picture of
0:33:39 > 0:33:48where he lived.We'll show that in a minute.It's amazing. He had that
0:33:48 > 0:33:52situation and came back which is hard for a Brazilian player to adapt
0:33:52 > 0:33:58at this kind of age. He's got a quality. This is a natural quality
0:33:58 > 0:34:06and he can be one of the best players for Brazil. Here he is, a
0:34:06 > 0:34:1017-year-old during the World Cup if Brazil.I thought you were going to
0:34:10 > 0:34:15gloss over that.Might be a red card. Straight red? We won't remove
0:34:15 > 0:34:20you from the studio though. High praise there. He's got a real
0:34:20 > 0:34:24swagger and a confidence for such a young man?Without doubt. He has
0:34:24 > 0:34:28pace, he's in a wonderful team. They're queueing up to get on the
0:34:28 > 0:34:34end of the De Bruyne or Silva assists and he's in there with good
0:34:34 > 0:34:38company, he's pushed Aguero to another level.Of all the 20 Premier
0:34:38 > 0:34:42League starts, only Cole and Phillips are ahead of him. He's
0:34:42 > 0:34:46joint third. For someone who's joined in January, another point you
0:34:46 > 0:34:52were making, a real impact? He's so young and can only get better. It's
0:34:52 > 0:34:56frightening, the prospect for the rest of the Premier League. Are
0:34:56 > 0:35:02Manchester City playing better football than you lot played in your
0:35:02 > 0:35:07days?They probably are, yes. Their team was different. They could fight
0:35:07 > 0:35:12you or play against you, whichever, well, he could fight you all the
0:35:12 > 0:35:17time. But the way City are playing is sensational.I think it's
0:35:17 > 0:35:26wonderful what we are seeing every week. I'm happen Foy be in the
0:35:26 > 0:35:29exclusive club, I think they could go the whole season unbeaten. I
0:35:29 > 0:35:38don't see anyone going to stop them. Themselves. If they get complacent,
0:35:38 > 0:35:42Guardiola will stop at nothing, he's a serial winner of trophies, he
0:35:42 > 0:35:47wants to win everything this year.
0:35:47 > 0:35:49The league leaders are away at Leicester today,
0:35:49 > 0:35:52where the mercurial Mahrez seems to be returning to the form
0:35:52 > 0:35:55which saw him Player of the Year a season ago.
0:35:55 > 0:36:04He's been talking to Rachel Stringer.
0:36:07 > 0:36:14Mahrez can pull it back. Goes for goal and scores!Back on to the form
0:36:14 > 0:36:19that we no and love to see of you. -- we know and love to see of you.
0:36:19 > 0:36:27Tell us how you feel your form is getting on?I feel good, you know.
0:36:27 > 0:36:31We have had good results. It's always good to score, you know,
0:36:31 > 0:36:34especially for attacking players, it gives you more confidence and I'm
0:36:34 > 0:36:39glad to score and help the team to pick up points. The team currently
0:36:39 > 0:36:43sitting in 12th, but have had some pretty tough matches. Four of the
0:36:43 > 0:36:48top six. You must be pretty OK in 12th position at this point in the
0:36:48 > 0:36:54season?Yes. I think the first four or five games was difficult because
0:36:54 > 0:36:59we played against the top four, top five so it's always difficult. To
0:36:59 > 0:37:04play against them. Now we are playing against teams who are like
0:37:04 > 0:37:09in the middle of the tables or, you know, and we are doing some good
0:37:09 > 0:37:15results, we need to keep going and keep it up.
0:37:15 > 0:37:22You have also got a new manager. What has he changed in the month or
0:37:22 > 0:37:31so that he's been here?Obviously, he brings some new ideas and changed
0:37:31 > 0:37:37some little details as well. He helps us and needs time to come into
0:37:37 > 0:37:43the team properly and to know how we work and us to know better how he
0:37:43 > 0:37:54works, so I think at the moment it's a good start. We'll see.Manchester
0:37:54 > 0:37:58City, you can beat them because this is the fixture the same time last
0:37:58 > 0:38:02year that you dismantled them 4-2. Do you ever draw on those memories
0:38:02 > 0:38:10to say, well, we did it before?Of course, of course. When you think
0:38:10 > 0:38:15about it, you say, we can beat them, obviously, it's the same team more
0:38:15 > 0:38:28or less, depends on the game, you know. How do you approach this match
0:38:28 > 0:38:33with City say being a team that people are saying could go unbeaten?
0:38:33 > 0:38:37We know we can beat them and they know we can beat them as well. The
0:38:37 > 0:38:42game of Saturday is a big game. It's a big team and we play 100%, we are
0:38:42 > 0:38:48going to give it everything. We'll see after the game.
0:38:48 > 0:38:50Mr Mahrez relatively subdued there.
0:38:50 > 0:38:53He was probably still shellshocked after this press conference whilst
0:38:53 > 0:38:56he was on international duty with Algeria.
0:38:56 > 0:38:59And that was after a 3-0 win.
0:39:32 > 0:39:40The next questions is, why are you so angry?
0:39:40 > 0:39:45Mahrez is so sheepish there.
0:39:45 > 0:39:48There are a few managers who've wanted to say that in a press
0:39:48 > 0:39:52conference, I can fell you.Ever been in a press conference like
0:39:52 > 0:39:58that?Not in a press conference but I remember when we played at
0:39:58 > 0:40:01Brighton, he threatened to run us all over if he saw us crossing the
0:40:01 > 0:40:15street. It would have been a mass killing with 20 of us.Mahrez has
0:40:15 > 0:40:19ability. Has he got that mentality? There was talk of a move. Maybe he
0:40:19 > 0:40:23wanted to cash in. I don't know what sort of lad he is. Great successes
0:40:23 > 0:40:28at Leicester and he seemed to be the first one to go out the door or who
0:40:28 > 0:40:35wanted to two out the door. They are pressing high against City.
0:40:35 > 0:40:40Let us see how they do. Mahrez will cause them problems today. He had
0:40:40 > 0:40:47his head turned. Might take him a season to get over it.
0:40:47 > 0:40:51All the Leicester City fans didn't want him, by the way. Social media
0:40:51 > 0:40:54isn't it - why would we want him, four points from two games, he's now
0:40:54 > 0:41:00brilliant.Got Southampton a Cup Final last year, why did they get
0:41:00 > 0:41:05rid of him, can't understand it. Full of opinions you three today.
0:41:05 > 0:41:07Liking it.
0:41:07 > 0:41:10Keep across that and all the other three o'clocks on Final Score
0:41:10 > 0:41:11from 4.30pm on BBC One.
0:41:11 > 0:41:12Martin's on with Garth.
0:41:12 > 0:41:15Match of the Day is at 10.20 tonight, with Alan Shearer
0:41:15 > 0:41:16and Phil Neville joining Gary.
0:41:16 > 0:41:18This afternoon, there's a double header of Rugby Union,
0:41:18 > 0:41:21with Wales against Georgia at 2pm on BBC One and Scotland taking
0:41:21 > 0:41:24on the mighty All Blacks live on BBC Two later.
0:41:24 > 0:41:27England v Australia highlights follow that, and in the early hours
0:41:27 > 0:41:30it's England v Papua New Guinea in the quarterfinals
0:41:30 > 0:41:32of the Rugby League World Cup.
0:41:32 > 0:41:33Time for some midweek FA Cup action.
0:41:33 > 0:41:42Five non-league clubs were looking to book their place in round two.
0:41:42 > 0:41:49Johnson outside the area. And it's in. They've broken the deadlock.
0:41:49 > 0:42:01Delivers it.Miles over. Penalty. It's into the back of the net. And
0:42:01 > 0:42:10they've levelled things up.He drills it left. They're through!
0:42:12 > 0:42:17Plays it to the left. Opportunity for Woking. Into the penalty area.
0:42:17 > 0:42:25The first goal. Skipped past his man. Woking have doubled their
0:42:25 > 0:42:29advantage.Given away inside the penalty area. This could be three.
0:42:29 > 0:42:39It's going to be three. Eventually turned home by James Philpott.
0:42:39 > 0:42:49Robinson.
0:42:50 > 0:42:57Consider oh he scores! And they love it! Here is a chance. Sliding back
0:42:57 > 0:43:01in. Penalty. He's off!
0:43:05 > 0:43:16Bounced in for the Tanners. Moore. Wins it. Surely wins it.
0:43:16 > 0:43:19Tranmere of the National League were on the end of a 5-0 thrashing
0:43:19 > 0:43:20from League 1 Peterborough.
0:43:20 > 0:43:22Danny Lloyd very happy with his hat-trick.
0:43:22 > 0:43:26The all-League 1 clash between Scunthorpe and Northampton
0:43:26 > 0:43:29was decided by this corker from Hakeeb Adelakun.
0:43:29 > 0:43:33A rare beauty.
0:43:33 > 0:43:36Hip action to please the Strictly judges, as well.
0:43:36 > 0:43:40Scunthorpe now travel to Doncaster in round two.
0:43:45 > 0:43:47Staying in League 1, and Shrewsbury are home
0:43:47 > 0:43:49to Morecambe in round two.
0:43:49 > 0:43:51But it's their league form which has been incredibly
0:43:51 > 0:43:52impressive this season.
0:43:52 > 0:43:55A year ago they were bottom of the table.
0:43:55 > 0:43:57In came Paul Hurst, and this season they've lost just once.
0:43:57 > 0:43:59Time for a visit from Clem.
0:44:08 > 0:44:13Not got a bad facility here have you?It's excellent.Show me around
0:44:13 > 0:44:18your little castle. We do testing every six weeks so we know where the
0:44:18 > 0:44:23lads are. The brew room. Clean your own boots. If the captain can do
0:44:23 > 0:44:27it...Why do you think there's been such a transformation?The gaffer's
0:44:27 > 0:44:43got a lot to do with it. He has done what needed to be changed. That is
0:44:43 > 0:44:46the prediction table that I found that I wanted to share with the
0:44:46 > 0:44:50players. We are hoping to prove people wrong. But you have been
0:44:50 > 0:44:56living off the mantra all season haven't you about, oh, it's just
0:44:56 > 0:45:02survival, you got more points after 16 games than you had off 32 last
0:45:02 > 0:45:10season.Come on... Might be on camera that. This could
0:45:10 > 0:45:13be a very special season for you, your staff and your group of
0:45:13 > 0:45:18players?I think there's a great feeling and one of the players
0:45:18 > 0:45:21mentioned it recently in an interview that, even if we were a
0:45:21 > 0:45:26lot lower down the league, there'd be a good feeling around the place
0:45:26 > 0:45:30but it does make it that little bit more special. For the fans,
0:45:30 > 0:45:33especially, it's not been easy for them, but I think they're in dream
0:45:33 > 0:45:37land at the minute. It would be great if the season finished
0:45:37 > 0:45:45tomorrow and we were promoted, but there's a long way to go.
0:45:45 > 0:45:54Now, this looks interesting, this is not a territory I am familiar with.
0:45:54 > 0:46:00This is Ian, our club captain. The Peaky Blinders hairstyle is very
0:46:00 > 0:46:06topical with the new season coming back. But I'm not the one to ask
0:46:06 > 0:46:08about hair advice! What a transformation at this football
0:46:08 > 0:46:16club.Do we have to do this while I'm sat here? If you had asked me,
0:46:16 > 0:46:20would we be top 16 games in, we might have been surprised by that,
0:46:20 > 0:46:32but the gaffer sets high standards, and long may that continue. What are
0:46:32 > 0:46:37you feeling about the season?That we need to get a 50 points.All of
0:46:37 > 0:46:40you are indoctrinated with this! Do you think managers like you get
0:46:40 > 0:46:45enough recognition? I didn't think the opportunity would arise to
0:46:45 > 0:46:48become a manager, and I'm proud of the route I have taken to get to
0:46:48 > 0:46:52this. So if you can manage further down, why can't you manage higher
0:46:52 > 0:46:57up? A lot of my principles, ethos, beliefs, stay the same whether I
0:46:57 > 0:47:02went back to manage a pub side, whether I was managing in the
0:47:02 > 0:47:06Premier League. I'd like to think people would give you credit for
0:47:06 > 0:47:11working your way up, and thankfully at the minute, every time I have
0:47:11 > 0:47:16made that step up, I've managed to do a good job. And I'm hoping that
0:47:16 > 0:47:24that can continue.Brilliant. Great to see you.Thanks very much.
0:47:24 > 0:47:28Magnificent handshake! Shrewsbury Town, Rotherham today.
0:47:28 > 0:47:30A couple of games in the Championship last night.
0:47:30 > 0:47:33Sheffield United returned to the top of the table
0:47:33 > 0:47:34with a 3-1 win at Burton.
0:47:34 > 0:47:36Billy Sharp with a couple of goals for the Blades.
0:47:36 > 0:47:39Burton Albion just outside the relegation zone after Bolton's
0:47:39 > 0:47:40goalless draw with Preston.
0:47:40 > 0:47:41We've allowed Martin to bring a friend today.
0:47:41 > 0:47:43So, time to hear from one of Lawro's.
0:47:43 > 0:47:45Kenny Dalglish has seen some of football's greatest highs,
0:47:45 > 0:47:48but also experienced its deepest lows.
0:47:54 > 0:48:00It's not something we ever discuss. There was a lot of people that went
0:48:00 > 0:48:06to that game that never came home. He was falling apart after
0:48:06 > 0:48:18Hillsborough.I went and just cried in my dads arms. It was just
0:48:18 > 0:48:25something that had to be done. It just gave everybody in that city
0:48:25 > 0:48:32some thing to believe in.Only Kenny can tell us what that journey was
0:48:32 > 0:48:34really like.
0:48:40 > 0:48:46Delighted to say, the man himself is here.
0:48:46 > 0:48:50Kenny Dalglish joins us live from Anfield now.
0:48:50 > 0:48:54I know you had great success as a player and manager, standing in
0:48:54 > 0:48:58front of your own stand, as well! Lots of people asking about
0:48:58 > 0:49:01Liverpool this season, what do you make of the current team under
0:49:01 > 0:49:06Jurgen Klopp? They have had one or two games where they obviously could
0:49:06 > 0:49:10have done better, we wanted them to have done better. But I don't think
0:49:10 > 0:49:15you just look at the short-term. I think we've got a guy who's perfect
0:49:15 > 0:49:24for the football club. Jurgen will take us onwards and upwards. The
0:49:24 > 0:49:26sooner the better favourably, himself included, but he is
0:49:26 > 0:49:30definitely a perfect fit for the club.A question from Calum Haggett
0:49:30 > 0:49:37and on Facebook. Which defender from your playing days would you bring in
0:49:37 > 0:49:43if you were going to bolster the Liverpool defence now?I wouldn't
0:49:43 > 0:49:48bring any of them in, because they are all about 60 years of age! There
0:49:48 > 0:49:55is no point looking back, you have to look forward. Everybody thinks
0:49:55 > 0:49:58that there is always somebody better out there until you get them in, and
0:49:58 > 0:50:01it doesn't normally happen. And I don't think it's important how much
0:50:01 > 0:50:04money you spend, it is more important about who you get in the
0:50:04 > 0:50:10quality of the person and his performances. So for me, from our
0:50:10 > 0:50:13age, you wouldn't want to sign a couple of dinosaurs that are sitting
0:50:13 > 0:50:18there beside you.And unnecessary dig at Mark Lawrenson, but we will
0:50:18 > 0:50:23take it! Paddy Stavros wants to know the biggest influence on your
0:50:23 > 0:50:27career, and the best advice that person gave you. I know you spend
0:50:27 > 0:50:31some time with some of the greats, but who would you pick out?The
0:50:31 > 0:50:36person that sets you on your way is your father. He introduced me to
0:50:36 > 0:50:45football, so after that there was Jock, Bob, everybody who helps you
0:50:45 > 0:50:48to move onwards and upwards, but actually I would go for your family,
0:50:48 > 0:50:53they give you the grounding for many, many things, and hopefully I
0:50:53 > 0:50:57got a very good grounding for my parents.Ryan has a question for
0:50:57 > 0:51:01you, and a number of people asking this, about you coming back into
0:51:01 > 0:51:05football at some stage. Would you be interested in a job like Scotland or
0:51:05 > 0:51:10any other job, does anything tempt you now? What is the next question?
0:51:10 > 0:51:15LAUGHTER Don't you play that with us. You
0:51:15 > 0:51:21heard the question. When summary asks you who is in a position to
0:51:21 > 0:51:25offer you something, you can answer it. But when they are not in a
0:51:25 > 0:51:29position to offer, I don't think it needs an answer.Well swerved,
0:51:29 > 0:51:40excellent Kenny Dalglish body swerve there! You said Jurgen Klopp was the
0:51:40 > 0:51:43perfect fit for the club. How far are they from the likes of
0:51:43 > 0:51:48Manchester City at the moment? Manchester City are flying, they
0:51:48 > 0:51:53have been fantastically enjoyable to watch. We obviously have been going
0:51:53 > 0:51:59over there, we got a 5-0 drubbing, but really until we went down to ten
0:51:59 > 0:52:03men, it was a lot tighter than that, and they looked as if they might get
0:52:03 > 0:52:08something from the game. So I don't think we are too far away. But the
0:52:08 > 0:52:12deeper the squad, the less injuries you get, the same as every body
0:52:12 > 0:52:15else, the easier it is to compete. But we can compete with anybody in
0:52:15 > 0:52:20the league. If we do that and we win the games against the bigger clubs,
0:52:20 > 0:52:25that gives you a chance to keep up. So I think we're moving in the right
0:52:25 > 0:52:28direction, and I wouldn't like to put a time-honoured, but as
0:52:28 > 0:52:32everybody says in football, the sooner the better.Kenny, it has
0:52:32 > 0:52:36been fantastic to talk to you. Thank you for everyone who has said
0:52:36 > 0:52:41questions in today.
0:52:41 > 0:52:46Martin Keown was saying he played against you in a League Cup game at
0:52:46 > 0:52:53Brighton in 2005, I'm sure you remember.
0:52:57 > 0:53:02I think he might have got an own goal!Thank you very much, all the
0:53:02 > 0:53:05best, Lads.I think he managed to insult all of you apart from
0:53:05 > 0:53:07Gilberto!
0:53:07 > 0:53:11That film available on DVD now.
0:53:11 > 0:53:13It is just called Kenny.
0:53:13 > 0:53:16Kenny played in two World Cups, and after last week's qualifiers
0:53:16 > 0:53:20we now know the final 32 for Russia next summer.
0:54:18 > 0:54:20That has brought you up to date.
0:54:20 > 0:54:22These are the four pots for the World Cup Finals.
0:54:22 > 0:54:24England in pot two, as are Spain.
0:54:24 > 0:54:26Which is good news for Gareth Southgate,
0:54:26 > 0:54:27as they can't draw them.
0:54:27 > 0:54:30Gary Lineker is hosting the show, so will no doubt get the blame
0:54:30 > 0:54:32if England are in a dodgy group.
0:54:32 > 0:54:33Denmark in pot three after that thumping win over the Republic.
0:54:34 > 0:54:43Do you think Martin O'Neill will stay, Lawro?
0:54:43 > 0:54:47Yes. I think they did well to qualify for the knockout stages. If
0:54:47 > 0:54:51you look at the team they've got, they are honest, they have some
0:54:51 > 0:54:54decent players, they are very difficult to play against, but when
0:54:54 > 0:54:58they have got to change the game, they struggle with that.We have a
0:54:58 > 0:55:02World Cup winner in the studio.
0:55:02 > 0:55:07You won the 2002 final, Gilberto.
0:55:07 > 0:55:10In terms of the strength of the squad and the chances and hopes of
0:55:10 > 0:55:21righting the wrongs of some of the past, how do next summer?Much
0:55:21 > 0:55:25better, last time, although they had a team, they relied too much on
0:55:25 > 0:55:30Neymar, the expectation, and the media in Brazil, went Neymar got
0:55:30 > 0:55:38injured, it was a bit panicky on everyone. How tough to take was that
0:55:38 > 0:55:44defeat in Brazil against Germany? It is tough for us to understand what
0:55:44 > 0:55:50went wrong on that particular day. It is a day that we will never
0:55:50 > 0:55:58forget. As a Brazilian fan, as people who love football. And my
0:55:58 > 0:56:05situation as a Brazilian ex-player, I played for that shirt for so many
0:56:05 > 0:56:11games. But now I see it very positive, the way they are doing
0:56:11 > 0:56:16things now. The manager is organising the team very well and
0:56:16 > 0:56:19the way they defend, and they have the power up front.Do you give
0:56:19 > 0:56:24England any chance, by the way? Lets get a Brazilian perspective.I do
0:56:24 > 0:56:31believe honestly, despite the opinion, there are other teams in
0:56:31 > 0:56:37front of them, but you never know in this competition, because bringing
0:56:37 > 0:56:44back 2002 when we were out, not the favourite, and then we won, this can
0:56:44 > 0:56:49be some additional, let's say hope for some of the teams that didn't do
0:56:49 > 0:56:54well for their qualification again. When they start again it is a
0:56:54 > 0:56:56different situation.
0:56:56 > 0:56:58In a moment we'll have predictions from Will Ferrell,
0:56:58 > 0:57:02but first we asked him about his opponent.
0:57:02 > 0:57:15So, must moustache, and without a moustache. Here he looks like a
0:57:15 > 0:57:17dishevelled sea captain without his ship, and there it is a strong gaze
0:57:17 > 0:57:22off into the horizon for when he used to have a ship, here he has
0:57:22 > 0:57:29lost his ship.That is unfair!Who is that bloke!Your daughter is very
0:57:29 > 0:57:38happy that you are with him. Gentlemen, thank you. Will Ferrell's
0:57:38 > 0:57:47predictions in a moment. 0-0 in the London derby. Goodbye.He is going
0:57:47 > 0:57:51to ruin Christmas, I'm telling you. I hate to hit you with the tough
0:57:51 > 0:57:57love, but the only person who can hit you with a tough love is looking
0:57:57 > 0:58:02back at you from that mirror. I am a Leeds fanatic,
0:58:02 > 0:58:04back at you from that mirror. I am a Leeds fanatic,. I believe... What
0:58:04 > 0:58:13other colours again? Last season I saw a Liverpool match, Chelsea
0:58:13 > 0:58:26match, very exciting. I am a minority owner of brand-new
0:58:27 > 0:58:36LAFC, who started the spring. I would like to sign Pele. We can move
0:58:36 > 0:58:41him around on a motor wheelchair, we just need his expertise on the
0:58:41 > 0:58:49pitch. Manchester United, upset, 10-0 in a shocker. Oh, Burnley and
0:58:49 > 0:58:56Swansea, draw. Five goals apiece. A slugfest. Both goalies kicked out,
0:58:56 > 0:59:01red Cards.
