0:00:14 > 0:00:21Oh, it's absolutely brilliant!This is getting better and better!Chance

0:00:21 > 0:00:29to Cristiano Ronaldo!History boys, indeed! The biggest Chelsea

0:00:29 > 0:00:37celebration of the season!

0:00:37 > 0:00:45No team has won its more than Arsenal.

0:00:45 > 0:00:49Arsenal.Welcome to Westbridge Albion. The Hawthorns has been their

0:00:49 > 0:00:54home since 1900. Have a look at the statue outside the ground. The great

0:00:54 > 0:01:01Tony Brown. 279 goals and played more games than anyone else, 720.

0:01:01 > 0:01:06They love to remember their heroes in this part of the world. Another

0:01:06 > 0:01:11man who scored plenty of Brom is the great Jeff Astle. Famously in every

0:01:11 > 0:01:16single round of the cup in 1968. The fifth and last time West Brom

0:01:16 > 0:01:21actually won the FA Cup. His gaits mark the way into this famous old

0:01:21 > 0:01:28ground. He is one of those great heroes of 68.Replacing the

0:01:28 > 0:01:34scheduled programme, Association football. West Bromwich Albion go on

0:01:34 > 0:01:44the sixth round.Albion have had to replay every round except one.Great

0:01:44 > 0:01:51goal by Astle! Here come the Albion will stop there's going to be a goal

0:01:51 > 0:02:00here! Astle with four. West Bromwich Albion are going to Wembley. This is

0:02:00 > 0:02:08what it was all about, the greatest prize in English football.

0:02:08 > 0:02:11prize in English football.Jeff Astle Bangs one in! He's scored in

0:02:11 > 0:02:19every round of the FA Cup.FA Cup winners of 1968.

0:02:19 > 0:02:23We are starting in the very modern dressing room. Things have changed

0:02:23 > 0:02:26since 1968. This is where the players of today will be getting

0:02:26 > 0:02:31ready to take on Southampton and if you like your omens, it was exactly

0:02:31 > 0:02:3550 years ago today, the 17 February 1968, that West Brom took on

0:02:35 > 0:02:41Southampton, as they do today. They drew the game here at the Hawthorns

0:02:41 > 0:02:45and built Dylan attribute in the Hawthorns. Also that day, they beat

0:02:45 > 0:02:48Liverpool on that cup run to Wembley and they've also done that this

0:02:48 > 0:02:54season. I suppose from a West Brom point of view, it could be a good

0:02:54 > 0:02:58weekend ahead. As we walk out towards the pitch, things could be a

0:02:58 > 0:03:02little bit rosy. But the rest of the week for West Brom has been

0:03:02 > 0:03:08thoroughly miserable. As we go down the blue neon steps, we shall be

0:03:08 > 0:03:11talking about the horrific week for West Brom. We also have all this on

0:03:11 > 0:03:14the programme.

0:03:14 > 0:03:16Can League 2 Coventry produce more Cup magic?

0:03:16 > 0:03:20We've sent Clem to find out.

0:03:20 > 0:03:26That's part of the history of the club. In fairness, we'll never be

0:03:26 > 0:03:29allowed to forget about that. We talk about it on a daily basis at

0:03:29 > 0:03:30breakfast.

0:03:30 > 0:03:35All the action from last night's two 5th round ties.

0:03:35 > 0:03:40Chelsea took on Hull.

0:03:40 > 0:03:42Also highlights from Leicester - who took

0:03:42 > 0:03:44on Championship Sheffield United.

0:03:44 > 0:03:46And Ince Junior on Huddersfield's hopes of beating

0:03:46 > 0:03:49Manchester United...again!

0:03:49 > 0:03:54You always want to play against the big boys so to get them three times

0:03:54 > 0:04:01in one season, and also decide! Beat them in the fifth round of the FA

0:04:01 > 0:04:04Cup!All that on the way as we live from West Brom. We have three

0:04:04 > 0:04:06guests.

0:04:06 > 0:04:08Three-time FA Cup winner Martin Keown.

0:04:08 > 0:04:12Alex Scott, who's won seven women's FA Cups.

0:04:12 > 0:04:15I thought it was nine!I'm not sure!

0:04:15 > 0:04:17And Leicester assistant manager Michael Appleton, who has also

0:04:17 > 0:04:18played and coached here.

0:04:18 > 0:04:23We'll get to the football.

0:04:23 > 0:04:26If you've missed the news...

0:04:26 > 0:04:28Four West Brom players - Jonny Evans, Gareth Barry,

0:04:28 > 0:04:30Jake Livermore and Boaz Myhill - have apologised after allegedly

0:04:30 > 0:04:32stealing a taxi from outside a fast-food restaurant

0:04:32 > 0:04:35in Barcelona on Thursday.

0:04:35 > 0:04:40The club have released yet another statement. That is the fourth this

0:04:40 > 0:04:43week the various things. The players have apologise to everybody

0:04:43 > 0:04:47involved. The club are investigating the incident which happened during a

0:04:47 > 0:04:52training trip. When you consider their league position, what else has

0:04:52 > 0:04:56happened this week, with the sacking of the chairman and the Chief

0:04:56 > 0:04:59Executive, the football isn't the normal West Brom standard of late.

0:04:59 > 0:05:03This is the worst possible timing, isn't it?It's possibly as low as

0:05:03 > 0:05:07the club has been for many years will stop you look at the reaction

0:05:07 > 0:05:12since Pardew has been there, only one victory. They lost at the

0:05:12 > 0:05:15beginning of the week, the wisdom of going away that week, they've got

0:05:15 > 0:05:20the FA Cup at the end of the week, I'm not sure why they were away. And

0:05:20 > 0:05:23they are new players, you'd expect far better from them, than to be

0:05:23 > 0:05:26involved in this situation. Unlike other weeks when it's the normal

0:05:26 > 0:05:28week and they don't look forward to the games because the form has been

0:05:28 > 0:05:31bad, they are really looking forward to the game.Is desperate to get it

0:05:31 > 0:05:38out of the way. The players are responsible, but does it show the

0:05:38 > 0:05:40perils of a mid-season trip and what can go wrong, even though you want

0:05:40 > 0:05:45to take a break? That's what Alan Pardew wanted to do, get their mind

0:05:45 > 0:05:50off things and come back and focus on the FA Cup.It certainly has

0:05:50 > 0:05:53benefits, no doubt. Teams have used it in the past and be very

0:05:53 > 0:05:58successful. They've gone fantastic mums when they come on. The most

0:05:58 > 0:06:03important thing is the game today couldn't come any quicker. The fact

0:06:03 > 0:06:06that they've got an opportunity today to play football, to get

0:06:06 > 0:06:10people talking about West Brom Albion in a positive light, that'll

0:06:10 > 0:06:14be the single most important thing that Alan and the rest of the team

0:06:14 > 0:06:17are talking about.Shall we hear from the manager? Alan Pardew didn't

0:06:17 > 0:06:21want to talk about in their day, but he said this in the press

0:06:21 > 0:06:27Conference.It wasn't what we wanted. We've gone there to try and

0:06:27 > 0:06:31get ourselves up and ready for this run in and this is obviously not

0:06:31 > 0:06:39ideal. They break curfew and that's unacceptable I feel bit let down by

0:06:39 > 0:06:43that. But we've still got our training in. Our focus now is on the

0:06:43 > 0:06:51game. We've only been back since 1:30pm, so we trained and came

0:06:51 > 0:06:54straight here.In terms of the message to the players, it makes it

0:06:54 > 0:06:57simple by them. Everyone is talking about us for the wrong reasons,

0:06:57 > 0:07:01let's make sure it's for the right reasons after this game against

0:07:01 > 0:07:05Southampton.Yes, the fact is those four players have a point to prove

0:07:05 > 0:07:10today. This team them. Alan Pardew will be disappointed by them because

0:07:10 > 0:07:13sometimes you can't win with players. You give them leeway,

0:07:13 > 0:07:16freedom, and think they'll respected and show some trust back and then

0:07:16 > 0:07:19they go and do something like that. You feel let down as the team, fans

0:07:19 > 0:07:23and a manager. They've got a real big point to breed.It'll be

0:07:23 > 0:07:26interesting to see the reaction from the players and supporters at West

0:07:26 > 0:07:30Brom.If we look at the game on Monday, it's been an action packed

0:07:30 > 0:07:35week and started on Monday night. I thought they played very well in the

0:07:35 > 0:07:40game at times. They played with three at the back, lost Sturridge,

0:07:40 > 0:07:45another nail in the Coffin you could say for their season. Rodriguez came

0:07:45 > 0:07:50on and they looks quite decent. They got beat, OK, but he has to build on

0:07:50 > 0:07:54that. Will he play the same system today? Ironically Southampton is

0:07:54 > 0:07:57their only win in 14. They came here recently in the Premier League and

0:07:57 > 0:08:02won. They have problems of their own. Today is a make or break game

0:08:02 > 0:08:06for West Brom. You talked about the game on Monday. If you're a West

0:08:06 > 0:08:10Brom fan, you might want to look away now.

0:08:10 > 0:08:18A crucial game for both of these sides.

0:08:18 > 0:08:21sides. Chelsea lead with 24 minutes gone.

0:08:32 > 0:08:39Lovely little backheel by Fabregas. He taps it in beautifully. West Brom

0:08:39 > 0:08:42and you didn't take your chances and you were punished. I wonder what

0:08:42 > 0:08:48he's thinking.

0:08:51 > 0:08:53Brilliant goal! 3-0!

0:08:57 > 0:09:01That was what happened on Monday night, as Martin said. They are

0:09:01 > 0:09:04seven points adrift of safety at the bottom if you look at the bottom of

0:09:04 > 0:09:07the Premier League table. All the stuff that's gone on the pitch, off

0:09:07 > 0:09:15the pitch, and yet they can still save themselves, from that position?

0:09:15 > 0:09:20It'll be difficult, seven points adrift with 12 games or so to go.

0:09:20 > 0:09:23They've been used to great escapes here. I remember being a youth team

0:09:23 > 0:09:27coach when Brian Robson was in charge day of the season. I think we

0:09:27 > 0:09:30were the bottom at Christmas and I think it was the first time that

0:09:30 > 0:09:33happened in the Premier League. They are used to it, there used to great

0:09:33 > 0:09:36great escapes and they need another one. The guys have touched on the

0:09:36 > 0:09:40team and the squad. I think a lot of time as what comes together when

0:09:40 > 0:09:45there's a bit of adversity. This might actually, as a difficult and

0:09:45 > 0:09:49wrong as the situation might be, it might bring them all together and

0:09:49 > 0:09:53that will be what hopefully Alan was looking for.I was going to go for

0:09:53 > 0:09:58your point. They can use this game today. You put out a strong team,

0:09:58 > 0:10:02get a win, then take the momentum into the league. It could help.

0:10:02 > 0:10:05Martin, I remember you saying about the FA Cup that it's quite

0:10:05 > 0:10:08inspirational as one say to a player, you do not get many chances

0:10:08 > 0:10:11to win this condition. You got to grab it with both hands. They are

0:10:11 > 0:10:17only one game away from the quarterfinals.Ten good

0:10:17 > 0:10:20opportunities if you're lucky, Don Howe used to say. Today they have to

0:10:20 > 0:10:27do that. Chelsea were quite magnificent. Hazard was good on the

0:10:27 > 0:10:32evening. He has to build from there. He's got to look at the likes of

0:10:32 > 0:10:37Swansea. They were five points of the macro adrift and if Swansea

0:10:37 > 0:10:42can't do it, why can't West Brom? You have to find the belief.Lets a

0:10:42 > 0:10:45factor what's happening over the course of the weekend. Two games

0:10:45 > 0:10:48last night that we've already talked about. We'll show you all those

0:10:48 > 0:10:51calls.

0:10:51 > 0:10:59-- goals.

0:11:06 > 0:11:11Rochdale against Tottenham is live on BBC One, as is Wigan and

0:11:11 > 0:11:16Manchester City. That's a repeat of the 2013 final. This is what

0:11:16 > 0:11:19happened at Stamford Bridge last night. Martin Fisher was therefore

0:11:19 > 0:11:22us.

0:11:29 > 0:11:35Their first victory against Forest in the championship. What a shot and

0:11:35 > 0:11:47what a start for Chelsea. And the returning Brazilian, Willian,

0:11:48 > 0:11:53settles Conte's nerves.

0:11:53 > 0:12:00settles Conte's nerves. The ball is over the bar. Might have thought he

0:12:00 > 0:12:04was offside, but even so, a glorious opportunity for him to register his

0:12:04 > 0:12:12first goal for Chelsea.

0:12:12 > 0:12:19first goal for Chelsea. This time, the Spaniard put it away. Fabregas

0:12:19 > 0:12:24knew what was on.

0:12:34 > 0:12:38Willian takes it on early, and why not when you can finish like that?

0:12:38 > 0:12:42Quite, quite brilliant from Willian.

0:12:50 > 0:13:01It's in! Olivier Giroud has his first Chelsea goal and you sense

0:13:01 > 0:13:04they'll be plenty more in Chelsea blue where that came from.

0:13:15 > 0:13:21Wilson brought down by Fabregas full stop penalty. Silly challenge by

0:13:21 > 0:13:29Fabregas, just let out a leg. And Wilson Julie fell over it. It

0:13:35 > 0:13:41the penalty saver extraordinaire kept out the shoot out kick against

0:13:41 > 0:13:47Nelson Olivero against Norwich in the third round replay here and

0:13:47 > 0:13:50guessed correctly. It's a strong parry away and there's still nothing

0:13:50 > 0:13:52for Hull City To celebrate.

0:14:08 > 0:14:20Willian for the hat-trick? Took too long. Good save. Zappa Costa was so

0:14:20 > 0:14:24unselfish there. He could have taken the initial shot but knew that

0:14:24 > 0:14:29Willian was in for his hat-trick.

0:14:30 > 0:14:42A good save. An awkward bounce, but he kept it down.

0:14:42 > 0:14:49Oh, against the post! Well, he was inches away there from registering

0:14:49 > 0:14:57his first ever hat-trick the Chelsea. At high long since decided.

0:14:57 > 0:15:00Not quite the gloss that Willian was looking for.

0:15:00 > 0:15:03If you've just turned on your TV, we'll talk about that game in a

0:15:03 > 0:15:07moment. We live from West Bromwich Albion today. Some of the players

0:15:07 > 0:15:11arriving behind us at various points over the next couple of minutes for

0:15:11 > 0:15:14their game against Southampton. One of the peculiarities about West

0:15:14 > 0:15:20Brom, the Lord is my shepherd, I'll not want. He makes me down to lie in

0:15:20 > 0:15:23pastures green, it's a quote of course from some 23. The reason it's

0:15:23 > 0:15:26there is because West Brom were one of the very first teams to play

0:15:26 > 0:15:30football on Sunday. The fans used to go to church in the morning, seeing

0:15:30 > 0:15:35that and then would come back and try to sing it here, as well and

0:15:35 > 0:15:39still sing it here today. I love a bit of West Brom history. They are

0:15:39 > 0:15:43steeped in their history and love those sort of stories. From Chelsea

0:15:43 > 0:15:48point of view, there's been a lot talk this week about Conte's

0:15:48 > 0:15:54position in the club. They've proved with competitive victory.They have

0:15:54 > 0:15:56and from a professional point of view, I think the Chelsea players

0:15:56 > 0:16:01have certainly done the business. They started the game is well. Last

0:16:01 > 0:16:08night, the game was over within probably 25, 30 minutes or so.

0:16:10 > 0:16:14Olivier Giroud off the mark. It is always nice to get an early goal.

0:16:14 > 0:16:20You had to come to me to talk about him.He let Arsenal down. Get over

0:16:20 > 0:16:25it, move on.

0:16:25 > 0:16:32He is a fantastic signing for the club. And it is the way he links. He

0:16:32 > 0:16:38scored a great goal. He fed it in with his left foot. It is almost an

0:16:38 > 0:16:41impossible angle. Arsene Wenger did not want him to leave and if you

0:16:41 > 0:16:46look at the problem he has left behind, who is going to score the

0:16:46 > 0:16:49goals for Arsenal?Danny Welbeck. I liked the way you both turn it round

0:16:49 > 0:16:56to Arsenal. From the point of Chelsea, they have got Barcelona,

0:16:56 > 0:16:59Manchester United and Manchester City. In terms of the way they are

0:16:59 > 0:17:02playing this season, obviously they won the title last time, where do

0:17:02 > 0:17:08you put Chelsea?Pretty much where they are at the minute. I do not see

0:17:08 > 0:17:14them really challenging for the title. But in terms of Manchester

0:17:14 > 0:17:19United they are close enough to challenge and the fact they have got

0:17:19 > 0:17:22Manchester City and Manchester United in the league I think it is a

0:17:22 > 0:17:25bonus for them. Very quickly they will know what their season is going

0:17:25 > 0:17:30to be about. If you look at the Champions League and how the English

0:17:30 > 0:17:35teams performed, great results, city, Liverpool, the Premier League

0:17:35 > 0:17:40is in good shape. Next week it is Manchester United as well and

0:17:40 > 0:17:43Chelsea. But they are playing against Barcelona and for me they

0:17:43 > 0:17:50could be favourites to win it, but who knows?Do you want to mention

0:17:50 > 0:17:55Arsenal again? No, it is up to you. I want to talk about Swansea because

0:17:55 > 0:17:59they play here in April and less than two months after being sacked

0:17:59 > 0:18:04by Sheffield Wednesday, Carlos Carbonero has taken over.

0:18:04 > 0:18:06Less than two months after being sacked by Sheffield Wednesday,

0:18:06 > 0:18:08Carlos Carvalhal is returning to Hillsborough with Swansea.

0:18:08 > 0:18:10Alistair Mann's there for Match Of The Day.

0:18:10 > 0:18:16He returns to the club who did not really want to sack him. In the end

0:18:16 > 0:18:19on Christmas eve Sheffield Wednesday's slide down the table had

0:18:19 > 0:18:25become alarming. His successor has inherited the same list of

0:18:25 > 0:18:29absentees, but the boost of a new manager has helped Wednesday with

0:18:29 > 0:18:34clearer of the relegation zone. The hosts have prioritised league

0:18:34 > 0:18:38survival and have made six changes to the side which beat Derby on

0:18:38 > 0:18:42Tuesday. The Swans have also made changes of their own, but whether

0:18:42 > 0:18:46they like it or not, one of these two sides will have an FA Cup

0:18:46 > 0:18:52quarterfinal to prepare for in a month's time. He had a good time

0:18:52 > 0:19:01with Sheffield Wednesday. It will be interesting to see the reception he

0:19:01 > 0:19:05gets from the fans.He led them to two play-offs, so there has to be

0:19:05 > 0:19:10some form of respect for him. What he has done at Swansea has been

0:19:10 > 0:19:15magnificent. He is such a character and he has changed the belief and

0:19:15 > 0:19:19confidence in that team. He has not changed much tactically, it is about

0:19:19 > 0:19:24the belief in the Swansea team. Even though he has changed the line-up,

0:19:24 > 0:19:33he did that in the Notts County game and those players stepped up and I

0:19:33 > 0:19:36am sure they will do the same.Is it more of a mood change at Swansea

0:19:36 > 0:19:39rather than a tactical switch?I think that can happen when a new

0:19:39 > 0:19:43manager comes in. We played them a few weeks ago recently and they

0:19:43 > 0:19:50defended a little bit deeper. They are very much a five - four - one

0:19:50 > 0:19:52and they are making it very difficult for teams to play in

0:19:52 > 0:20:00between them and around them.It is all about results. And he has

0:20:00 > 0:20:06already picked up more points in his games and wins than Paul Clement did

0:20:06 > 0:20:09in his 23.And his players are talking glowingly about him. He

0:20:09 > 0:20:14loves his players and they love him and it shows the mood change. But

0:20:14 > 0:20:17winning games is what it is all about.Did you ever seen a line in

0:20:17 > 0:20:25one of the FA Cup Arsenal games? I may have done. Do you remember this

0:20:25 > 0:20:31from 1987? Chas and Dave. Everybody knows we are the football

0:20:31 > 0:20:38connoisseurs. The hotshot Tottenham. Remember that? You clearly do. But

0:20:38 > 0:20:44it did not work, they did not win it that year. This time the League 2

0:20:44 > 0:20:51side are in round five for the first time in five years.

0:20:51 > 0:20:55This time around the League 2 side are in round 5 for this

0:20:55 > 0:20:561st time in 5 years...

0:20:56 > 0:20:58They face Premier League Brighton on the south coast.

0:20:58 > 0:21:00Mark Clemmit's been to Coventry, in search of an upse.

0:21:00 > 0:21:04Since their third round win at Stoke their league form has plummeted,

0:21:04 > 0:21:07their promotion campaign is in danger of stagnating and after a

0:21:07 > 0:21:11third consecutive defeat I think it is very to say their manager was not

0:21:11 > 0:21:19very happy. Are you all right? You did have quite a pop at the boys.I

0:21:19 > 0:21:25did in midweek. No, they are all right, they are in decent spirits.

0:21:25 > 0:21:30We can put it to bed and concentrate on this game and leave the league

0:21:30 > 0:21:39stuff until after this one is finished. It is in!The FA Cup has

0:21:39 > 0:21:44been a big thing for us. The importance of the game against Stoke

0:21:44 > 0:21:48was big. The support we had was magnificent. We have sold out our

0:21:48 > 0:21:53allocation for the Brighton game and the supporters are coming in number

0:21:53 > 0:21:57away from home wherever we go.You are good for a bit of FA Cup

0:21:57 > 0:22:01archive. This goal of yours, seriously, some of these guys have

0:22:01 > 0:22:10never seen it.Some of them were not born.Do you ever watch it back? No.

0:22:10 > 0:22:19On the Internet?No, never.You should be proud of it.Yes, I am

0:22:19 > 0:22:27proud of it, but I never Google myself. You never use it as part of

0:22:27 > 0:22:33the inspiration for the players? It is part of the history. We talk

0:22:33 > 0:22:39about it on a daily basis. It comes up all the time, I never mention it,

0:22:39 > 0:22:44but people think I do.That connection is important, they know

0:22:44 > 0:22:49they are part of this history. They could see how potentially this club

0:22:49 > 0:22:53and how big it could be. It has got a good tradition and good history

0:22:53 > 0:23:03and hopefully we can get some of that back. What is it with you? Two

0:23:03 > 0:23:08years in a row in the last 16 of the cup. It happened last year as well.

0:23:08 > 0:23:15We are very lucky. Last year it was Arsenal. This year it is Stoke and

0:23:15 > 0:23:23Brighton, so I am happy for that, but we have to win now.

0:23:24 > 0:23:31but we have to win now.I am going to trip him for that.Where we were

0:23:31 > 0:23:34last year, the strides we have made both on and off the field in terms

0:23:34 > 0:23:38of the infrastructure and what we are going to survive makes it an

0:23:38 > 0:23:43already impressive season. They have secured the club for another 12

0:23:43 > 0:23:47months and we will look forward to that. We want to pick our wits

0:23:47 > 0:23:52against the better teams and Brighton are very good team. We want

0:23:52 > 0:23:58to compete and not go down there. They will go with a full hit or give

0:23:58 > 0:24:02one or two of the squad players and one of them costs 14 million and

0:24:02 > 0:24:08that is the difference between the teams. We are just going to knuckle

0:24:08 > 0:24:12down, stick together and see the season over, but we have got a good

0:24:12 > 0:24:22team, we know we can.

0:24:22 > 0:24:26When you were Oxford boss, you beat some of the bigger teams. Any advice

0:24:26 > 0:24:33for Coventry and Mr Robbins? It is certainly again where there is no

0:24:33 > 0:24:42pressure. Mark broke my heart last year in the Czech trader trophy. I

0:24:42 > 0:24:47was not going to bring that up. No, they can relax, they can showcase

0:24:47 > 0:24:55their skills against a top side in the Premier League and obviously

0:24:55 > 0:25:00they will take that opportunity. It is a good day to enjoy it.Yes, but

0:25:00 > 0:25:05there are pressure situations. Brighton will be looking forward to

0:25:05 > 0:25:09that one. Chris Hughton has been talking about this fixture. Coventry

0:25:09 > 0:25:13deserve a bit of luck because of what they have been through over the

0:25:13 > 0:25:15last few years.We need another guest.

0:25:15 > 0:25:17We need another guest.

0:25:17 > 0:25:20Darren Moore is West Brom's 1st team coach and also made over 100

0:25:20 > 0:25:23appearances for the Baggies as a player.

0:25:23 > 0:25:29Look at the size of him! It has been a tough week for the club. The guys

0:25:29 > 0:25:33were saying when we started the programme that the win is important

0:25:33 > 0:25:37today. It is important to move on and draw a line under things.Yes,

0:25:37 > 0:25:41that is what we are looking at today. It is all about the fifth

0:25:41 > 0:25:45round. You have got two teams competing to get into the

0:25:45 > 0:25:50quarterfinals. It will be a packed stadium and we want to put in the

0:25:50 > 0:25:53right performance today and come away with the right result. We were

0:25:53 > 0:25:58at the other end of the stadium and I saw you trying to pounce on the FA

0:25:58 > 0:26:02Cup. I know it means a lot to you. What does it mean to the modern-day

0:26:02 > 0:26:07Premier club footballer? It means a lot for the lads because the

0:26:07 > 0:26:11furthest they have ever got two was the quarterfinals and we played to

0:26:11 > 0:26:17Fulham and we lost 1-0. That is the furthest we have ever got. So to

0:26:17 > 0:26:21come in in the coaching side and the opportunity to possibly get to the

0:26:21 > 0:26:26quarterfinals would be the right result today. It means everything.

0:26:26 > 0:26:31With the final 11 Premier League games looming after this one, it can

0:26:31 > 0:26:34be the right momentum for the supporters and the club if we get

0:26:34 > 0:26:40the right result today.You used to share a dressing room together. I

0:26:40 > 0:26:42want a real insight into what you were like in the dressing room.

0:26:42 > 0:26:51Michael?To be fed Darren is pretty much what most people think, a big,

0:26:51 > 0:26:56Gentle giant. But he has got a dark side to him that I have seen a few

0:26:56 > 0:27:01times. Clinton Morrison knows about that. But I cannot tell you the

0:27:01 > 0:27:05story.Clinton will know what I am talking about. You can't leave it

0:27:05 > 0:27:10like that exploration Mark would you like to return the favour?I was

0:27:10 > 0:27:20gutted because we were team-mates, but we were not roommates. They say

0:27:20 > 0:27:25he makes an unbelievable cup of tea. So I was not able to sample his cup

0:27:25 > 0:27:30of tea. But he was competitive in midfield and we were great friends

0:27:30 > 0:27:35on the pitch and we still remain good friends off the pitch and it is

0:27:35 > 0:27:40a lifetime friendship. That is nice to hear. There was a passionate man

0:27:40 > 0:27:44embrace when you saw each other today. We are talking about the

0:27:44 > 0:27:48position that West Brom find themselves in, but you were involved

0:27:48 > 0:27:58in the great escape in 2005. Do you think that a finish like that is

0:27:58 > 0:28:02required again for West Brom to stay in this division?Definitely. It

0:28:02 > 0:28:09feels almost exactly the same. We were bottom at Christmas and down

0:28:09 > 0:28:13and out and we just decided to get together and just have a really good

0:28:13 > 0:28:18go. That is what is needed today. We know the situation we find ourselves

0:28:18 > 0:28:23in with this cup match here and afterwards still seven points

0:28:23 > 0:28:26adrift. It will have to take a run of games and result like that to get

0:28:26 > 0:28:31out of it, but we are capable of doing it.You said it took you guys

0:28:31 > 0:28:34coming together to get out of it. Do you feel you have got the characters

0:28:34 > 0:28:42here that Campbell together, and say we can do this?Absolutely, I feel

0:28:42 > 0:28:46that is what we have got year with the group of guys. It is what is

0:28:46 > 0:28:51required and needed and we need each other, the staff, players,

0:28:51 > 0:28:55supporters, everybody is needed today. Everybody coming here today

0:28:55 > 0:28:58and for the remainder of the season can play their part and that is how

0:28:58 > 0:29:03we are looking at it today. You are right. I feel we have got the

0:29:03 > 0:29:10players to do it. They believe. One thing, the performances have been

0:29:10 > 0:29:15there, but the results have not come with it. I want a performance today.

0:29:15 > 0:29:20If you can get a performance, you are in a chance of getting the right

0:29:20 > 0:29:23result. The performances have been there.I bet you wish you were

0:29:23 > 0:29:32playing today.I said earlier, I am happily retired.Just to sort things

0:29:32 > 0:29:39out for the club.Obviously having the experience and with the guys

0:29:39 > 0:29:43here now, you know what is required out there today, the type of

0:29:43 > 0:29:49performance and the type of messages that need to go on the pitch. Just

0:29:49 > 0:29:53having that experience I would love to be out there today. If they can

0:29:53 > 0:29:57get out of trouble from this, it would be the greatest escape. From

0:29:57 > 0:30:02the outside it looks as if they are doomed. There has been no reaction

0:30:02 > 0:30:06from Alan Pardew. It might be their only way. Wigan went down a few

0:30:06 > 0:30:12years ago having one the FA Cup. That might be the dream for West

0:30:12 > 0:30:18Bromwich Albion, but today is more about pride. You give the pre-match

0:30:18 > 0:30:26team talk, not Martin. Lovely to have you on the programme.

0:30:26 > 0:30:28All this still to come before one: Ince Junior on Huddersfield's hopes

0:30:28 > 0:30:31of upsetting Mourinho's men.

0:30:31 > 0:30:34Rochdale's Joe Thompson on beating cancer twice.

0:30:34 > 0:30:42And we'll be at Wigan as they eye a repeat of this Ben Watson goal.

0:30:46 > 0:30:49This week also saw the verdict in the case of former football

0:30:49 > 0:30:55coach Barry Bennell, who will be sentenced on Monday

0:30:55 > 0:30:59for 50 child sex offences.

0:30:59 > 0:31:01We know the details are horrible.

0:31:01 > 0:31:04Bennell worked with Manchester City and Crewe Alexandra's youth teams

0:31:04 > 0:31:10and was convicted of abusing 11 boys aged 8 to 15 between 1979 and 1990.

0:31:10 > 0:31:14People of all ages watch the programme, so you might find some of

0:31:14 > 0:31:18what you're about to see and hear disturbing.

0:31:26 > 0:31:30Barry Bennell, once described as a brilliant and influential coach, now

0:31:30 > 0:31:36a convicted paedophile.

0:31:36 > 0:31:41a convicted paedophile. In the early 1980s, Bennell coached at various

0:31:41 > 0:31:45youth teams that had links to Manchester City. It is reported he

0:31:45 > 0:31:51even abused boys on the Main Road pitch.

0:31:58 > 0:32:02In 1985, Bennell left city to coach in Crewe Alexandra's Junior system,

0:32:02 > 0:32:10where he

0:32:10 > 0:32:17where he raped and molested countless boys at the club. However

0:32:17 > 0:32:22it wasn't until a tour of the USA that Bennell was arrested and

0:32:22 > 0:32:25subsequently convicted of abusing a 13-year-old British boy. He was

0:32:25 > 0:32:31jailed for four years.

0:32:32 > 0:32:35jailed for four years. In a broadcast of Channel 4's Dispatches

0:32:35 > 0:32:41programme, a former youth player waived his right to anonymity and

0:32:41 > 0:32:46said he was sexually abused I Bennell. Bennell pleaded guilty in

0:32:46 > 0:32:56June 19 eight -- 1998 relating to 15 complaints aged between nine and 14.

0:32:56 > 0:33:03He was sentenced to nine years in prison. In 2015, he once again

0:33:03 > 0:33:08pleaded guilty. This time for abusing a 12-year-old boy in 1980.

0:33:08 > 0:33:14He was jailed for two years. In November 2016, and it would waived

0:33:14 > 0:33:20his right to anonymity, speaking about the abuse he was subjected to.

0:33:20 > 0:33:26This led to many more victims coming forward. This week at Liverpool

0:33:26 > 0:33:30Crown Court, Barry Bennell was found guilty of 50 counts of child sexual

0:33:30 > 0:33:36abuse against 11 victims. This isn't expected to be the end of the story,

0:33:36 > 0:33:43as further incidents of abuse are reported to the police.

0:33:43 > 0:33:48I think it's important to remember the job that Daniel Taylor of the

0:33:48 > 0:33:51garden did indeed telling those accounts and there's been so much

0:33:51 > 0:33:56admiration for those who passed by their anonymity and have spoken in

0:33:56 > 0:33:58the past.

0:33:58 > 0:34:02Andy Woodward, Steve Walters, Chris Unsworth.

0:34:02 > 0:34:04Chris said...

0:34:04 > 0:34:06He ruined my childhood, he ruined my dream,

0:34:06 > 0:34:09but he won't ruin my life.

0:34:09 > 0:34:12BBC Sport reporter Simon Stone is here with me in the press

0:34:12 > 0:34:13room at the Hawthorns.

0:34:13 > 0:34:21Nice to see you here. There is the possibility of civil action to be

0:34:21 > 0:34:24taken against Crewe Alexandra and Manchester City. What has the

0:34:24 > 0:34:28response been?

0:34:28 > 0:34:32Both clubs have offered their heartfelt sympathies to the victims

0:34:32 > 0:34:37in this truly, truly awful case. However, tellingly, neither club has

0:34:37 > 0:34:43offered an apology as yet. For Manchester City's parts, they

0:34:43 > 0:34:49instigated a review in November 2016, led by a leading lawyer, to

0:34:49 > 0:34:56unearth whether Barry Bennell used them as a cover almost for the awful

0:34:56 > 0:35:01actions that he then undertook. We can see the statement on the screen.

0:35:01 > 0:35:06Manchester City say they've unearthed the name of one other

0:35:06 > 0:35:11person, who is now deceased, whose behaviour also gives them a huge

0:35:11 > 0:35:17cause for concern, John Broome. Because this review goes back 50

0:35:17 > 0:35:24years, they've not completed it yet -- 30 years. For Crewe Alexandra,

0:35:24 > 0:35:28they say at no point before they appointed Bennell where they made

0:35:28 > 0:35:33aware of any sexual misconduct allegations against Bennell and they

0:35:33 > 0:35:37weren't made aware of this during his time at the club, either. To

0:35:37 > 0:35:40bring this up to the modern day, a lot of parents will be watching

0:35:40 > 0:35:43today, thinking of taking their children to football. There are

0:35:43 > 0:35:46genuine concerns but it's worth saying there have been real changes

0:35:46 > 0:35:51made in the safeguarding of children today. That's right. The FA have

0:35:51 > 0:35:53been very keen to stress the safeguarding issue is one they've

0:35:53 > 0:36:00been dealing with over a decade now. They've been working with the NSPCC

0:36:00 > 0:36:06for 16 years on safeguarding. They've got 300,000 people go

0:36:06 > 0:36:08through their safeguarding procedures every year in terms of

0:36:08 > 0:36:12dealing with children and also any club who has players who are aged 18

0:36:12 > 0:36:18and under, they all have to have a safeguarding officer who has to be

0:36:18 > 0:36:21checked for a criminal record and things like that to make sure they

0:36:21 > 0:36:25are safe to work with children. Thank you very much for that and

0:36:25 > 0:36:30there'll be plenty more coverage over the coming days and next week.

0:36:30 > 0:36:35Let's return to the FA cup 5th round.

0:36:35 > 0:36:37Rochdale, who are bottom of League One, have a game

0:36:37 > 0:36:38against Tottenham tomorrow afternoon.

0:36:38 > 0:36:40It's live on BBC One.

0:36:40 > 0:36:42Joe Thompson is back playing for Rochdale after recovering

0:36:42 > 0:36:45from cancer for a second time.

0:36:49 > 0:36:57I was on 24-hour chemotherapy. Those weeks felt long and then I was

0:36:57 > 0:37:03basically locked in a room, solitary confinement. You're in a box. At the

0:37:03 > 0:37:05start of that, you're given what I would say is probably the most

0:37:05 > 0:37:12potent chemotherapy you can have and it was torture. And then that's

0:37:12 > 0:37:16where you come across the emotional side of things and the psychology

0:37:16 > 0:37:23side of things and it was testing and it did test my sanity. I luckily

0:37:23 > 0:37:31managed to get out after 18 days. I could barely walk and when I did get

0:37:31 > 0:37:34myself out, a little bit of breeze on my skin, I literally felt like a

0:37:34 > 0:37:40free man. Not everyone has beaten cancer so I'm very, very lucky.

0:37:40 > 0:37:46Crossing the white line is something that I hope to do again even though

0:37:46 > 0:37:54I wasn't guaranteed to do -- hoped to do. I've would so hard and

0:37:54 > 0:37:57sacrificed so much and gone through so much pain to get out there and I

0:37:57 > 0:38:00know every day is a blessing. Being out on a football pitch is where I

0:38:00 > 0:38:03feel free and can forget about everything and just go and enjoy

0:38:03 > 0:38:08competing.

0:38:08 > 0:38:11More from Job tomorrow and my favourite stat of the week is that

0:38:11 > 0:38:14sales of tinfoil in Rochdale have gone up 500% this week in

0:38:14 > 0:38:19preparation for the game against Tottenham. This man doesn't need the

0:38:19 > 0:38:23tinfoil because he's lifted the real thing. Graham Williams, the captain

0:38:23 > 0:38:28of that site in 1968. Can you give us some memory of that day? We've

0:38:28 > 0:38:30already talked about it in the programme but what was it like for

0:38:30 > 0:38:36you?The build-up to the FA Cup, because we should have gone out in

0:38:36 > 0:38:38the first round. We played Colchester and they scored a goal in

0:38:38 > 0:38:45the last minute and we didn't know what it was disallowed for. When we

0:38:45 > 0:38:51walked off, what was that for? We walked off and it was always the

0:38:51 > 0:38:58games coming up, and we always drew the top teams. Southamptons,

0:38:58 > 0:39:03Portsmouths. Liverpool three times. We never thought we could get beaten

0:39:03 > 0:39:07because of the first game with Colchester. We got our name on the

0:39:07 > 0:39:13Kop.He felt it was that season? We did.Tony Brown at the other end of

0:39:13 > 0:39:17the press room, I know you'll say nice things, but you played with

0:39:17 > 0:39:22him, you played with Jeff Astle. We highlighted him in the programme

0:39:22 > 0:39:25already full stop what was it like to play with players like that who

0:39:25 > 0:39:29provided so much to the team?Well, they were good. First of all, they

0:39:29 > 0:39:36were good. But we forget also about Little Jimmy Clark. A winger, 29

0:39:36 > 0:39:42goals will stop his assists for Jeff and Tony were unbelievable. We had a

0:39:42 > 0:39:46forward line that everyone was frightened of. Jeff had favourite

0:39:46 > 0:39:50teams. If he was injured he would want to play against those teams

0:39:50 > 0:39:54because he would always score. He'd tell you before the game, don't

0:39:54 > 0:40:04worry, lads, I'd get a goal today. Bomber, his marker, would follow up.

0:40:04 > 0:40:08I can imagine it was fantastic. We're sitting where ands Alan Pardew

0:40:08 > 0:40:13will sit after the game today. We've got the pictures of you lifting the

0:40:13 > 0:40:17trophy in 1968, can you believe it's been 50 years since West Brom have

0:40:17 > 0:40:20got anywhere near it?Yes! LAUGHTER

0:40:20 > 0:40:27I'm selfish. What you're saying is you never want West Brom to win it

0:40:27 > 0:40:32again.Well... We've been in a couple of situations where we should

0:40:32 > 0:40:37have been there and we lost the semifinal and things like that. The

0:40:37 > 0:40:42following year, 1969, I would have thought we had the better side. I

0:40:42 > 0:40:46wasn't in it but we had a better side. We got beaten by Leicester at

0:40:46 > 0:40:49Sheffield Wednesday and I thought that was a better side. We were

0:40:49 > 0:40:53always expected to be in the cup final. In fact, a quote from our

0:40:53 > 0:41:02chairman... You bloody lot, I'm fed up of coming to Wembley! Any time

0:41:02 > 0:41:10you won the league... And I had to respond to that after we were in the

0:41:10 > 0:41:16Park Lane Hotel. He said, you bloody lot!Is there ever a happy chairman?

0:41:16 > 0:41:21Lovely to speak to you, thank you. I like your honesty. You said you're

0:41:21 > 0:41:26very proud and happy to be last West Brom captain... Going to show you

0:41:26 > 0:41:30some more goals from last night's game. Leicester and Sheffield

0:41:30 > 0:41:39United.

0:41:49 > 0:41:54Lovely ball to Jamie Vardy and Vardy, just past the post.

0:42:05 > 0:42:19Good save. Sheffield United getting bodies forward. Headed up by Simpson

0:42:19 > 0:42:23and an excellent challenge by Maguire prevents Stevens from giving

0:42:23 > 0:42:25the championship side the lead.

0:42:42 > 0:42:50Vardy! And Jamie Vardy puts Leicester City ahead. Mahrez had the

0:42:50 > 0:43:00vision to pick him out and Vardy had the resize finish. 1-0.

0:43:01 > 0:43:11Just past the post!

0:43:14 > 0:43:22It's in and... What a save from Schmeichel! All that effort and

0:43:22 > 0:43:29Schmeichel reacting so well.

0:43:29 > 0:43:37Vardy in but the flag is up. In the end, the Premier League class is

0:43:37 > 0:43:39told and it sees them through to the quarterfinals.

0:43:43 > 0:43:50A smiling Jamie Vardy. If you are just joining us, we live on BBC Two

0:43:50 > 0:43:54today because the Wintel and is on BBC One. We live from West Brom

0:43:54 > 0:44:00Gabby and we've Mr Michael Appleton with us. How important is the cup

0:44:00 > 0:44:06run for Leicester? Quite a few changes in the season.It's

0:44:06 > 0:44:09important. When you're one of those sides outside the top six of the

0:44:09 > 0:44:12Premier League, that we find ourselves in, the cup competition is

0:44:12 > 0:44:17going to be really important. The fact that now we've got a

0:44:17 > 0:44:20quarterfinal place, it'd be interesting to see how we pull out

0:44:20 > 0:44:26the act to night. You realise at that point you're only one game away

0:44:26 > 0:44:30from Wembley.Riyad Mahrez setup Jamie Vardy for that goal. How easy

0:44:30 > 0:44:34or difficult has it been reintegrating into the team?Very

0:44:34 > 0:44:39easy.Not a problem at all?Very easy. The manager has handled the

0:44:39 > 0:44:43situation very well. The way he's dealt with it with you guys, etc.

0:44:43 > 0:44:48Riyad has come in, given his apology to the players, crack on with

0:44:48 > 0:44:53training. There hasn't been a major issue and I think his performance

0:44:53 > 0:44:56last night pretty much answers those questions.Wee dog about your time

0:44:56 > 0:45:00at West Brom and you were manager here for one game!

0:45:00 > 0:45:03LAUGHTER I don't want to bring up painful

0:45:03 > 0:45:09memories but was it 3-0 at half-time?It was an eventful game

0:45:09 > 0:45:12but probably will be remembered more for what happened at half-time and

0:45:12 > 0:45:18the end of the game. We got wind that the manager at the time was

0:45:18 > 0:45:22asked to sit down politely, I'm not too sure. But Scots was very

0:45:22 > 0:45:25influential as a player and certainly made the difference at

0:45:25 > 0:45:31half-time for us on that day.24 that memory! Manchester United stand

0:45:31 > 0:45:35in the way of Huddersfield getting to the quarterfinals of the FA Cup

0:45:35 > 0:45:40this weekend. Paul Ince won the cup twice with managers United. His son

0:45:40 > 0:45:43Thomas will be taking to the pitch for the Terriers this weekend. We've

0:45:43 > 0:45:51been spending a bit of time with Ince junior.

0:45:55 > 0:46:03Last weekend, there was a demolition of Bournemouth. The way we played on

0:46:03 > 0:46:06Sunday was the best we had played all season and it is a great time to

0:46:06 > 0:46:11be doing it.This is looking promising for Huddersfield. And they

0:46:11 > 0:46:27have scored! And it is in! And it is swept in right on cue.

0:46:27 > 0:46:29swept in right on cue. And Huddersfield town get their first

0:46:29 > 0:46:37victory of 2018.When we are at home it is a fortress and the fans get

0:46:37 > 0:46:43behind us.Tell us what that game at the weekend meant because afterwards

0:46:43 > 0:46:47there were so many pictures of the team together. That shows how great

0:46:47 > 0:46:52the boys are as a unit.Yes, that is what I noticed the first time I

0:46:52 > 0:46:57walked in the dressing room, the unity. You get that from the fans

0:46:57 > 0:47:00and the town itself. When you walk out there all the fans want to see

0:47:00 > 0:47:06you try and do the best for your team. But Saturday is an exciting

0:47:06 > 0:47:09time. We played Manchester United three times this year. You always

0:47:09 > 0:47:18want to play with the big boys.Tom Ince, and kept out by David De Gea.

0:47:18 > 0:47:24Huddersfield in front!

0:47:27 > 0:47:31Huddersfield in front! A mistake by Linda Love. 2-0. And Huddersfield

0:47:31 > 0:47:41are ripping up the script here.It is a decider as well. There is no

0:47:41 > 0:47:45better way to do it than to beat them in the final of an FA Cup.Can

0:47:45 > 0:47:53you remember what you were doing on the 13th of February 92?Look how

0:47:53 > 0:48:02cute you are. I remember the horse. I have still got the horse. My mum

0:48:02 > 0:48:08is not going to be happy with these.

0:48:14 > 0:48:26We have got some clips of your dad. He is saying, I am an old man, but

0:48:26 > 0:48:30it is always nice to see your dad playing at such massive games and

0:48:30 > 0:48:36achieving such great things.

0:48:36 > 0:48:39achieving such great things. And it is a goal.I did not think he could

0:48:39 > 0:48:45do that to be fair. He went from a tackler to be a goal-scorer. I

0:48:45 > 0:48:51looked at the stats and it was about eight goals in six years. Then I

0:48:51 > 0:48:54thought you just need to worry about the tackling and give it to the

0:48:54 > 0:49:00money men which is what we called them. He has always said I have got

0:49:00 > 0:49:05more skill than him, but he has said he is stronger than I am mentally, a

0:49:05 > 0:49:11lot more aggressive. I said, yes that is fine, you can have that one.

0:49:11 > 0:49:14There are always comparisons and that is what has helped me in my

0:49:14 > 0:49:19career. I am a different player to him, a different position, different

0:49:19 > 0:49:23mentality. I am sure in years to come we will look back together. You

0:49:23 > 0:49:29are forging your own career now which is what you need to do.Yes,

0:49:29 > 0:49:33it you have to accept that is where you are and I am proud of the name

0:49:33 > 0:49:39on the back of my shirt and I have to make my own pathway in the game.

0:49:39 > 0:49:44Young Tom Ince is hoping for a great weekend in the FA Cup. We are at the

0:49:44 > 0:49:49Hawthorns. We are with another father who has a son playing

0:49:49 > 0:49:56football, Ngaio Keown. How where is he of the burden of your name?I

0:49:56 > 0:50:00don't know if it is a burden. You have got to use it to your advantage

0:50:00 > 0:50:05if you can. He has got his own reputation playing in Scotland,

0:50:05 > 0:50:09enjoying himself up there. It is a good place to go for young players

0:50:09 > 0:50:15to develop. He is improving all the time, but he is his own man. He is

0:50:15 > 0:50:19an intelligent boy. Every time he is out on the pitch I wish I could be

0:50:19 > 0:50:25out there for him, but you have to step aside. You equip them to

0:50:25 > 0:50:31survive. You cannot be in their ear every five minutes. It looks like

0:50:31 > 0:50:36Tom Ince is getting his career back on track. He has gone to quite a few

0:50:36 > 0:50:41clubs and he has got a platform to build on. He is not fulfilling the

0:50:41 > 0:50:44ability he had at the beginning of his career. He has to find that

0:50:44 > 0:50:48balance. At the beginning when he was at Blackpool he was immense.

0:50:48 > 0:50:55What about you?I had parents who did not have a clue about football

0:50:55 > 0:50:59and it was worse when you came home and you lost the game and my mother

0:50:59 > 0:51:04would say, it is only a game. It is the worst thing you could say.We

0:51:04 > 0:51:10finished second. What about the game today taking on Manchester United?

0:51:10 > 0:51:15No Paul Pogba for Manchester United, he is ill.Again it is an

0:51:15 > 0:51:19opportunity for them to progress. They will see it as a good

0:51:19 > 0:51:24opportunity. The fact they can get encouragement in that they have

0:51:24 > 0:51:27already got a win over Manchester United, so they know the ingredients

0:51:27 > 0:51:32it will take to get through. It is an opportunity to get to the

0:51:32 > 0:51:40quarterfinal of an FA Cup. I have been in the quarterfinal.Jose

0:51:40 > 0:51:44Mourinho is bristling this week. He knows it is coming to that time of

0:51:44 > 0:51:48the season where it is about winning trophies and he is a serial winner

0:51:48 > 0:51:54of trophies and he will want to win. Maybe he has not won it as often as

0:51:54 > 0:52:05Alex. Look at the medals she has got.

0:52:05 > 0:52:07Hull midfielder Ryan Mason midfield who fractured his goal

0:52:07 > 0:52:10last January in a clash of heads with Chelsea's Gary Cahill, has

0:52:10 > 0:52:18announced his retirement from football.

0:52:30 > 0:52:41And he finished that really well. Ryan Mason makes his debut.

0:52:46 > 0:52:55Mason drives it in. It took a deflection and it is in!To Mason, a

0:52:55 > 0:53:03flowing move. Onside, Ryan Mason. He scores for Tottenham Hotspur.

0:53:09 > 0:53:16Sad news for Ryan Mason, only 26. You retired at the age of 27, it is

0:53:16 > 0:53:18a reassessment of everything you have done in your career up to that

0:53:18 > 0:53:25point.It is a difficult moment. The last time I kicked a ball in anger

0:53:25 > 0:53:30was 25. I did two years of rehab and coming to the inevitable. I know

0:53:30 > 0:53:36what he is going through now. I have got an understanding of how

0:53:36 > 0:53:41difficult the next 12 months will be, but a couple of clubs he has

0:53:41 > 0:53:44already played for have come out and said they will help him because he

0:53:44 > 0:53:51will need that help.Mauricio Pochettino has said, our door is

0:53:51 > 0:53:56open, you are a young man. It is a lovely gesture. But it is a tragedy

0:53:56 > 0:54:02when your career is cut short like that. Gary Cahill has said he went

0:54:02 > 0:54:08up for a header and this does not happen very often, but when it does

0:54:08 > 0:54:14it is tragic.I want to make the point about Tottenham, West Brom

0:54:14 > 0:54:19with the same for me. I was a northern lad from Salford, I could

0:54:19 > 0:54:25have easily packed up and gone up north, but the manager at the time

0:54:25 > 0:54:28encouraged me to stick around and I ended up doing some of the youth

0:54:28 > 0:54:30teams.

0:54:30 > 0:54:32Wigan's players are training this morning.

0:54:32 > 0:54:33They play on Monday.

0:54:33 > 0:54:36They face Manchester City, a repeat of the 2013 FA Cup Final.

0:54:36 > 0:54:40We've sent Eye-O Akinwolere to check in on preparations this time around.

0:54:40 > 0:54:45We have got two for the price of one this morning. Dan, let's start with

0:54:45 > 0:54:50you. A brilliant result at West Ham, but the league form has dipped

0:54:50 > 0:54:56slightly. What has changed?I cannot put my finger on it. We have had a

0:54:56 > 0:55:01lot of games, FA Cup replays, we have got a few more bodies which

0:55:01 > 0:55:06should help, but we have got the big Manchester City game and we want to

0:55:06 > 0:55:11crack on and get promoted. How much of the 2013 game have you watched?

0:55:11 > 0:55:16What can you take from that game? Obviously it is a massive game for

0:55:16 > 0:55:21the club. It is the underdog story again, but more this time than it

0:55:21 > 0:55:26was then, but there is stuff all around the training ground reminding

0:55:26 > 0:55:32us every day when we walk about. You already scored two goals against

0:55:32 > 0:55:37West Ham and six goals already in the FA Cup.You are enjoying this

0:55:37 > 0:55:43cup? Yes, it has been good for me this season. If I can carry that on

0:55:43 > 0:55:48on Monday, it would be brilliant. I have luckily managed to get the

0:55:48 > 0:55:55goals.A big game, how many people have asked you for tickets?Quite a

0:55:55 > 0:56:01lot! It is nice to get the support. A little bird tells me you drive to

0:56:01 > 0:56:05the training ground together singing. Who is the better singer?

0:56:05 > 0:56:09It is a no-brainer, I am definitely the best.It depends what we are

0:56:09 > 0:56:17listening to, we have got a wide spectrum of music. What combination

0:56:17 > 0:56:23are you working on? You are going to be playing against Sergio Aguero in

0:56:23 > 0:56:27a couple of days.I am looking forward to it. You want to play

0:56:27 > 0:56:32against the best players. I said that in the last round. Manchester

0:56:32 > 0:56:37City really is the best team. You want to play against the best

0:56:37 > 0:56:40players and prove yourself. It is on TV so you want to prove yourself to

0:56:40 > 0:56:46everyone.A little bird tells me that you were pushing trolleys in

0:56:46 > 0:56:49Darlington. Is it so real that you are now going to be playing against

0:56:49 > 0:56:54one of the greatest strikers in the world?Yes, if you had told me I

0:56:54 > 0:56:57would be doing this back then I don't know what I would have done.

0:56:57 > 0:57:03It will be a great experience.A little birdie tells me there will be

0:57:03 > 0:57:08over 17,000 fans from Wigan at the game. That extra support must be

0:57:08 > 0:57:14superb.It is brilliant. We have seen the history of the club and the

0:57:14 > 0:57:18FA Cup and it makes a big difference and it will be nice to get the fans

0:57:18 > 0:57:23down for that day. There will be a great atmosphere.I have played

0:57:23 > 0:57:27football badly in the past and if I have not scored after a couple of

0:57:27 > 0:57:30games, how'd you get yourself prepared for a game like Manchester

0:57:30 > 0:57:36City?Personally it is nothing different. If I get the chance to

0:57:36 > 0:57:41score the goals, although it will be tough, we have to take the chances

0:57:41 > 0:57:47when they come. It is an exciting game. We will be preparing properly

0:57:47 > 0:57:52and we fancy our chances. We have to keep on doing what we are doing. As

0:57:52 > 0:57:55you dare to dream about scoring against Manchester City yet?I have,

0:57:55 > 0:58:02yes. This is probably a little bit of a different task, but we are

0:58:02 > 0:58:06going there wanting to win the game and score goals.Thank you very much

0:58:06 > 0:58:11for joining me. I believe in the dream of the FA Cup. Let's get a

0:58:11 > 0:58:17good one. Have a good time guys. We all believe in the dream. You took

0:58:17 > 0:58:23on Manchester City with Leicester. They are frightening?Yes, no doubt

0:58:23 > 0:58:27about it. They have got so many influential players in the team.

0:58:27 > 0:58:31Kevin De Bruyne, he is on a different planet. He sees things

0:58:31 > 0:58:40seconds before everyone else.Has he been the most influential player?

0:58:40 > 0:58:44Yes, he affects the game. He is an artist, his feet are like

0:58:44 > 0:58:51paintbrushes.What about Wigan? They know they are up against it against

0:58:51 > 0:58:55Manchester City, but they have got a great striker. He has scored six

0:58:55 > 0:59:02already in the competition, said they will be looking to him.

0:59:05 > 0:59:09And this weekend is your last chance to sign up for The FA People's Cup -

0:59:09 > 0:59:10the biggest five-a-side competiton.

0:59:10 > 0:59:15The deadline is midnight on Sunday.

0:59:15 > 0:59:23We will leave you with some great FA Cup upsets from years gone by.

0:59:24 > 0:59:27Cup upsets from years gone by.And it is Simmons, one against one. A

0:59:27 > 0:59:31magnificent performance by the fourth division side.Yes, he has

0:59:31 > 0:59:41won it. Barnsley have knocked it into the corner at Anfield.Shock

0:59:41 > 0:59:48news here at the Emirates. He sidesteps Brown. Bradford city do it

0:59:48 > 0:59:59again.And Lincoln city from non-league football take the lead

0:59:59 > 1:00:07against Premier League Burnley. This is a great shock to the competition.
