:01:35. > :01:40.We are for me! Come on, catch up! - wait for me. I have come to
:01:40. > :01:50.Silverstone in the past in the back of a van and a hot-air balloon, but
:01:50. > :02:11.
:02:11. > :02:17.He won't let go west! -- let go. Everyone is in the can said. The
:02:17. > :02:26.flags are flying. You get a real sense of the beauty and the power
:02:26. > :02:36.of this grand prix weekend. That is crazy, man. I have this lovely
:02:36. > :02:50.
:02:50. > :03:00.little present for you. The bowl! This is amazing. -- oh! Aaaagh!
:03:00. > :03:31.
:03:32. > :03:34.Mummy! Well, the autograph-hunters are out in force at Silverstone.
:03:34. > :03:39.Welcome to the 2012 British Grand Prix. And thankfully, it isn't
:03:39. > :03:44.raining. It was a wet qualifying session with the huge delay of well
:03:44. > :03:48.over 1.5 are worse. All from that in a couple of moments. But this
:03:48. > :03:52.weekend, it is Sunday when the points are given away and this is
:03:52. > :03:56.how it is stacked up. Fernando Alonso with that 20 point lead over
:03:56. > :04:00.Mark Webber and that is significant because until the last race, the
:04:00. > :04:04.biggest advantage for any driver was just seven points and the
:04:04. > :04:07.battle continues with Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel so
:04:07. > :04:13.plenty of world champions fighting for points and Pastor Maldonado,
:04:13. > :04:18.despite Valencia, sits in 10th place. And then the constructors
:04:18. > :04:23.battle... Once again, Red Bull extended their lead over McLaren,
:04:23. > :04:28.and there is a tasty battle between Lotus and Ferrari but the battle on
:04:28. > :04:33.that qualifying trek was interesting. Here's Ben Edwards...
:04:33. > :04:37.Heavy rain caused worse -- more spills than ever. Schumacher was
:04:37. > :04:40.fortunate to miss the barriers, as was Fernando Alonso but the
:04:40. > :04:44.Spaniard took his first pole position in two years. Felipe Massa
:04:44. > :04:49.had his best performance in 5th place to confirm a strong day for
:04:49. > :04:53.the team. Mark Webber came close to Fernando Alonso's time but he was
:04:53. > :04:56.more than happy and starts on the outside of the front row, meaning
:04:57. > :05:01.the top two in the championship will go wheel to wheel him to turn
:05:01. > :05:05.number one. Lewis Hamilton was fastest in Q 2 but when it came to
:05:05. > :05:09.Q 3, he could not get the intermediate tyres to work and the
:05:09. > :05:14.2008 winner in the wet starts and it does. Jenson Button was worse,
:05:14. > :05:21.failing to brake into the top 17 and he will start further back than
:05:21. > :05:31.at any other. This year. His quest for that first podium here 1 lead
:05:31. > :05:46.
:05:46. > :05:51.Scotland's Paul di Resta. Hulkenberg is 14th after that five
:05:51. > :06:01.days penalty for the gearbox change. And a penalty for Kobayashi from
:06:01. > :06:03.
:06:03. > :06:11.Valencia. Timo Glock starts in 20th. Jean-Eric Vergne is penalised for
:06:11. > :06:16.his antics in the European Grand Prix. All set... And away we go and
:06:16. > :06:21.that is a good start from Fernando Alonso, Mark Webber switches to the
:06:21. > :06:25.outside, Schumacher and third place fighting Felipe Massa. Sebastian
:06:25. > :06:29.Vettel aspects behind that, that was a good start from Felipe Massa.
:06:29. > :06:34.And Kimi Raikkonen trying to get past as well and he should have the
:06:34. > :06:43.inside line for the left-hander. Over the kerb, makes it. Sebastian
:06:43. > :06:47.Vettel coming back on to the entry. Force India in the background going
:06:47. > :06:53.wide, it looked like he spun out On the Run down. Hamilton going for
:06:53. > :06:59.the inside. Hamilton is in 9th place at the moment and it is Paul
:06:59. > :07:05.di Resta. He has a puncture. home race, Paul di Resta, all going
:07:05. > :07:10.wrong for him on the first lap. Jenson Button has moved up well, 12
:07:10. > :07:15.players and Jenson Button has made ground, from 16th. Hulkenberg in
:07:15. > :07:19.the middle of the grid with Bruno Senna. That is the battle in the
:07:19. > :07:22.top 10 but Fernando Alonso leads. Red Bulls second, Michael
:07:22. > :07:30.Schumacher, Felipe Massa in 4th place and Sebastian Vettel in 5th
:07:30. > :07:35.place. Pastor Maldonado ahead of Kimi Raikkonen. Grosjean has had a
:07:35. > :07:44.terrible start. He ran extremely wide and the exit of Copse corner
:07:44. > :07:51.and that allowed Williams, sorry, Sauber in front. Hulkenberg goes
:07:51. > :07:56.wide, that allows Sauber to go alongside. Down to Club corner.
:07:56. > :08:01.Sergio Perez, around the outside. That puts him online for the exit.
:08:01. > :08:07.Great driving. Good stuff from the young Mexican. In the dry
:08:07. > :08:12.conditions. Fernando Alonso making that brake. Up front in the Ferrari.
:08:12. > :08:17.Behind Jenson Button. Grosjean on the grass. That has given Jenson
:08:17. > :08:21.Button the opportunity. Kobayashi going round the pair of them!
:08:21. > :08:29.Jenson Button trying to switch back and take the place but Kobayashi
:08:29. > :08:35.takes full advantage. He has got back in front of Kobayashi.
:08:35. > :08:42.Kobayashi went a little bit wide, as we could see. Has to back off!
:08:42. > :08:51.He cannot stay with that. Rosberg around the outside. Battling with
:08:51. > :08:57.Toro Rosso. In behind Jenson Button. So much going on! Rosberg is in
:08:57. > :09:02.15th place. That was a terrible first lap. Schumacher, Felipe Massa
:09:02. > :09:08.in 4th place. Then Sebastian Vettel and further down... It is beginning
:09:08. > :09:13.to settle down, Paul di Resta in the pits. That puncture, there was
:09:13. > :09:16.clearly contact. You can see some of the debris on the track. The
:09:16. > :09:26.question is, it looks sufficiently off-line to not be any danger but
:09:26. > :09:33.that could be an issue. On board with... Kobayashi. He is down the
:09:33. > :09:39.inside. Proton, does he have damaged? He has gone for the pits.
:09:39. > :09:42.Well spotted. That releases Jenson Button, up into 12 position, now.
:09:42. > :09:51.As we watch the leaders coming through. Michael Schumacher has to
:09:51. > :09:57.watch his mirrors. Felipe Massa looking very good indeed. In
:09:57. > :10:05.Valencia, Felipe Massa had contact with Kobayashi. The Lotus of
:10:05. > :10:09.Grosjean, he got married last week. This weekend, nothing going to plan.
:10:09. > :10:13.Surely, they're trying to change something? They had the jack under
:10:13. > :10:16.the car, that would be the indication of the front wing change
:10:17. > :10:22.but from that angle, and was unable to see any activity. It was more
:10:22. > :10:29.than just a pit stop. He has probably just changed to the other
:10:29. > :10:34.compound. Felipe Massa, trying to get past Michael Schumacher into
:10:34. > :10:39.Copse corner. One of the fastest. The oversteer, he has to change
:10:39. > :10:44.down the middle of the corner. Does that leave and vulnerable to
:10:44. > :10:49.Sebastian Vettel? He almost makes it! But Felipe Massa is just able
:10:49. > :10:54.to defend. Behind, Pastor Maldonado catching up. The that will leave
:10:54. > :11:03.him vulnerable on the straight. Will he try to do the Nigel Mansell
:11:03. > :11:07.around the outside? No, he cannot do that. Behind, we still have the
:11:07. > :11:13.Williams of Pastor Maldonado. Kimi Raikkonen not far behind. There he
:11:13. > :11:18.goes! On the inside. There was contact but no damage to the wing.
:11:18. > :11:22.Just that touch on the wheel, by the looks of things. Still Felipe
:11:22. > :11:30.Massa in 4th place, then Sebastian Vettel. Michael Schumacher has that
:11:30. > :11:34.vital breathing space. He tries to get on top of things. That is still
:11:34. > :11:39.Paul di Resta, trying to get things sorted out. This is his second time
:11:39. > :11:45.in the pits. Sergio Perez, just going quickly. 9th to us at the
:11:45. > :11:51.moment, his fastest lap. We have seen the Sauber being so fast on
:11:51. > :11:54.different circuits this year. Here is the start... Fernando Alonso has
:11:55. > :12:00.to go defensive very early and he is within his rights to do so. Mark
:12:00. > :12:03.Webber has to back out. We have Michael Schumacher, having to go
:12:03. > :12:07.defensive for Felipe Massa who thinks about going down the inside.
:12:07. > :12:14.The position on the outside is his exactly as Kimi Raikkonen does.
:12:14. > :12:19.Then we run out of the complex. Going into that section... Let us
:12:19. > :12:26.see what the contact was with Force India. You can see it was Paul di
:12:26. > :12:31.Resta and Grosjean. On board with Mark Webber... You can hear that
:12:31. > :12:40.wheelspin. He makes a fantastic start and has tripled to the left.
:12:40. > :12:45.Fernando Alonso, using his KERS. Look at the gap he got. Mark Webber
:12:45. > :12:50.was just feathering that. Or on board with Kimi Raikkonen. On the
:12:50. > :12:55.outside. That allows it clear run into the braking zone. But he gets
:12:55. > :13:01.too deep inside. And it all starts to go wrong. Here is Jenson Button,
:13:01. > :13:07.sorry, Lewis Hamilton. Kimi Raikkonen looks into his mirror. To
:13:07. > :13:12.the left. This would normally be taken flat out. But Lewis Hamilton
:13:12. > :13:16.being cautious. He positions himself on the outset. Pastor
:13:16. > :13:25.Maldonado, no room. But the most attacking start for Lewis Hamilton
:13:25. > :13:32.but he is playing the long game. Where was that contact? Grosjean
:13:32. > :13:37.top -- touching the back of Paul di Resta. There he is. That was a very
:13:37. > :13:41.short Grand Prix, extremely disappointed young man. The top 10
:13:41. > :13:46.come Alonso, Webber, Schumacher, Felipe Massa, Sebastian Vettel,
:13:46. > :13:56.Kimi Raikkonen, Pastor Maldonado in 7th place, Hamilton, Perez and
:13:56. > :14:00.Senna. I every lap, he Liz's performance. You can see the middle
:14:00. > :14:07.of the front left tyre, on the right of the screen, showing signs.
:14:07. > :14:10.The track is green, there has been so much rain. What we mean is the
:14:11. > :14:18.rubber, it has impregnated the surface of the track so you get
:14:18. > :14:23.that juddering a bit higher across the tarmac and that is crucial. He
:14:23. > :14:27.will have to revert to his strategy to make some earlier stop than he
:14:27. > :14:32.may otherwise have wanted to get some clean air and that is dictated
:14:32. > :14:42.by the amount of time you lose in the pit lane, 16 seconds roughly,
:14:42. > :14:48.
:14:48. > :14:52.and that dropsy end to the trainer this group are all tied together,
:14:53. > :14:57.and Hamilton is very much part of it. He is still potentially on for
:14:57. > :15:03.a podium, as Perez goes up the inside, not quite. Hamilton is able
:15:03. > :15:07.to shut the door, Perez not able to nip past into. Button is struggling
:15:07. > :15:11.with the rear of his car at the minute, so the McLarens seemed to
:15:11. > :15:16.be struggling. They are, and we have heard that Hamilton has been
:15:16. > :15:21.told that Schumacher is struggling on the options, so McLaren trying
:15:21. > :15:26.to keep Lewis Kahn at this stage of the hard tyre, telling him the
:15:26. > :15:31.option is not looking good at the moment. Clearly, a bit of a wake-up
:15:31. > :15:38.call for Hamilton as Perez tried down the inside into the village
:15:38. > :15:42.corner. Schumacher is 40.1, holding the others up. Now, that is
:15:42. > :15:46.interesting, it applies that Webber is happy to sit at a gap of about
:15:46. > :15:52.three seconds behind the race leader, and that is all about tyre
:15:52. > :15:54.management. We expect at least two starts this afternoon, as we see
:15:54. > :15:59.Grosjean coming back through the field. It should not be a difficult
:15:59. > :16:06.pass on the Marussia, but they did not make it too easy for him. That
:16:06. > :16:10.was getting past Glock. As I say, we expect two stops to be what
:16:10. > :16:17.people will try to aim for, but if tyre where his high, we can see
:16:17. > :16:21.them reverting to three, and maybe Mark... As we see activity from the
:16:21. > :16:27.Red Bull dies, they are aiming for it, and sector has decided to come
:16:27. > :16:33.in for tyres. -- Vettel. Is the first of the lead broker to make
:16:33. > :16:38.that stop. He goes out on the harder compound tyre. It looks
:16:38. > :16:42.fairly smooth, on his way once again, a fairly long pit lane, but
:16:42. > :16:48.it does cut out a section of track, the Club corner, so it is not a
:16:48. > :16:53.long time spent in pit-lane, 3.5 seconds stationery, and Vettel
:16:53. > :16:57.rejoins. We saw Paul di Resta go out, this is what happened, this
:16:57. > :17:02.was the contact with Romain Grosjean. We are riding with Romain
:17:02. > :17:06.Grosjean, and it was just a glancing blow, but it was enough to
:17:06. > :17:10.cause a puncture. Let's just keep an eye on these pit stops as the
:17:10. > :17:14.boys go to work. That was a good start by the Williams crew, and I
:17:14. > :17:18.do not think there will be changed between Williams and Sauber. The
:17:18. > :17:23.last pit box for Williams gives them a nice clear run back out onto
:17:23. > :17:26.the circuit. Joining just behind her Jean-Eric Vergne, and just as
:17:26. > :17:30.we were listening to Paul di Resta, as we see Maldonado getting deep
:17:30. > :17:34.into the village corner, we heard on the radio from Massa that he
:17:34. > :17:39.felt comfortable, a bit of degradation, but not too much. He
:17:39. > :17:45.has managed to pull a pass on Michael Schumacher in the inside of
:17:45. > :17:51.Stowe corner. He looks like he is on form here. They touch! Maldonado
:17:51. > :17:55.hit Perez, contact on the outside of Brooklands. The right rear is
:17:55. > :18:02.broker Maldonado, that is a long way back to the pits. As Perez got
:18:02. > :18:07.any damage? He would have been in the DRS zone. He has tried to go
:18:07. > :18:10.for the outside, and we need to see a replay of that, but as they
:18:10. > :18:14.drifted through the entry to Brooklands, they ran out of road
:18:15. > :18:18.and the contact was made. potential podium finishers out of
:18:18. > :18:22.the race. Maldonado was penalised last time after the contact with
:18:22. > :18:27.Lewis Hamilton in Valencia. That was a different kind of accident, a
:18:27. > :18:30.racing accident as they were both looking for position. Meanwhile,
:18:30. > :18:35.Michael Schumacher has just come into the pit lane remember, he was
:18:35. > :18:40.third but dropped to 4th just a few moments ago before these pit stops.
:18:40. > :18:45.Dr S disabled, that is interesting, I wonder why that is being reported.
:18:45. > :18:49.-- DRS. I wonder if there is a drop of rain around. Back out goes
:18:49. > :18:54.Michael Schumacher. Gary, what are you thinking on tyres at the
:18:54. > :18:59.moment? Alonso is still staying out in the lead. Everybody is taking a
:18:59. > :19:04.lesson from them. Michael is going out on the hard tyre now. Alonso
:19:04. > :19:09.has just done the fastest lap, so it shows they are very stable. A
:19:09. > :19:13.replay. Perez puts himself on the outside into Brooklands, and even
:19:13. > :19:17.Maldonado was running out of racetrack and was at the limit of
:19:17. > :19:22.his grid, or he decided to take a slightly wider line. The stewards
:19:22. > :19:26.will decide. It looks like Maldonado and oversteer into the
:19:26. > :19:30.corner, and in that case it is always going to be the wall of
:19:30. > :19:33.death around the outside, you put yourself at the mercy of the car
:19:33. > :19:43.giving you space. That would have been an incredible pass if Perez
:19:43. > :19:49.
:19:50. > :19:53.be coming. At least we are not hearing it. Yes, that was a brave
:19:53. > :19:59.attempt, and it did not come off, and that has cost them both this
:19:59. > :20:04.afternoon. Alonso is into the pits. He has managed to get to lap 15,
:20:04. > :20:09.lap 16 before having to make a pit stop, so these hard tyres have gone
:20:09. > :20:14.extremely well, and he puts another set on. Remember, he will have to
:20:14. > :20:19.run the softer tyre at some point. Button getting into the next year,
:20:19. > :20:25.racing hard for position, currently trying to race with Vettel, who has
:20:25. > :20:31.got past him. He has indeed, Vettel has done his stop, a fresher set of
:20:31. > :20:35.tyres. Button is yet to stop. Hamilton going deep into this race,
:20:35. > :20:39.going surprisingly far on this set of tyres, and at the moment he is
:20:39. > :20:44.giving Alonso behind him. Now, Alonso of course is on a much
:20:44. > :20:49.fresher set of tyres, he will want to try to dispatch the McLaren as
:20:49. > :20:54.quickly as possible. Alonso as a five-second gap to Mark Webber the
:20:54. > :21:01.Hind, a bit of breathing space, but he will not want to lose too much
:21:01. > :21:06.time behind Hamilton on his fresh tyres. The last lap, Alonso running
:21:06. > :21:11.0.7 seconds faster than Hamilton, too far behind as they exit
:21:11. > :21:15.Becketts on to the Hangar Straight, to position himself for a pass on
:21:15. > :21:19.Lewis. Lewis has to be looking to come in any time soon on these
:21:19. > :21:25.tyres. They will be getting an indication on lap time from Button,
:21:25. > :21:28.he was doing personal best sectors in 13th place. This is what the
:21:28. > :21:32.crowd wants to see, David, a British driver up front, and right
:21:32. > :21:35.now it is Lewis Hamilton. I know it is to do with strategy, but it is
:21:35. > :21:40.still a great performance. He has been able to get this far without
:21:40. > :21:45.making a pit-stop. Alonso comes out of Club corner, so much more grid
:21:45. > :21:50.on the Ferrari, but he cannot do anything with it. It is his next
:21:50. > :21:54.section that they're coming up to now which includes the DRS zone,
:21:54. > :21:59.where Alonso will attack. He tries to go side-by-side, but Lewis is
:21:59. > :22:03.controlling the inside of the corner. Now we get to the D RS zone,
:22:03. > :22:08.and Alonso will have been before he needs to use the DRS. He blasts
:22:08. > :22:13.past him, and in fact he has got it because he was behind Hamilton.
:22:13. > :22:18.Hamilton comes back at him! He gets back past him, but he cannot hold
:22:18. > :22:22.him, and Alonso will go as they again, one of fighting spirit there
:22:22. > :22:25.from Lewis Hamilton! Lewis is not worrying about the fact that this
:22:26. > :22:30.is actually affecting his own personal strategy, all striving off
:22:30. > :22:34.line and going wheel-to-wheel, making his lap time slower,
:22:34. > :22:38.affecting where he comes out after his pit stop. He is just raising
:22:38. > :22:42.for the British crowd, and what entertainment we got there. I do
:22:42. > :22:49.not know how he managed to come back at Alonso when he had the DRS
:22:49. > :22:54.available. The McLaren cannot have its DRS available. No, he was
:22:54. > :22:57.behind Alonso at the DRS activation point. Remarkable, the McLaren
:22:57. > :23:01.passes the Ferrari in a straight line without DRS, it came to
:23:01. > :23:06.nothing but what great entertainment. Remarkable stuff! A
:23:06. > :23:10.few years ago, when they were both having a seasons, they were dicing
:23:10. > :23:14.like that for 14th place. Now it was for the lead, but Hamilton has
:23:14. > :23:17.not made a pit stop. He has gone so deep, and this opens up some
:23:17. > :23:21.opportunities for McLaren to do something quite different to the
:23:21. > :23:26.others. Mrs Hamilton coming into the pits from second place. The
:23:26. > :23:32.question is, where Willie dropped two when he comes back out? Well,
:23:32. > :23:36.his gap to Grosjean was about 14 seconds, and we reckon the time in
:23:36. > :23:40.pit lane for a three-second stop will cost you about 16. The mass do
:23:41. > :23:45.not add up. It is a good stop, certainly very quick. McLaren have
:23:45. > :23:48.definitely improved their pit-stops after so many problems this year.
:23:48. > :23:53.Grosjean has just passed us on the start-finish straight, so I think
:23:53. > :23:59.Hamilton has made it work in this instance, he pops out just behind
:23:59. > :24:03.the Raikkonen-Schumacher battle. I think I need to sharpen my pencil
:24:03. > :24:07.because I thought that was going to be a lot closer. He is in seventh
:24:07. > :24:11.place now, Lewis Hamilton. The battle for 5th, Schumacher,
:24:11. > :24:16.Raikkonen, Hamilton in seventh position. Now he is on the softer
:24:16. > :24:19.compound tyre, and we just wait to see how far he is going to go in
:24:19. > :24:24.the race. Is on a different strategy to the others around him.
:24:24. > :24:28.He has gone deeper into the race and the harder tyre. Alonso is
:24:28. > :24:32.similar, he went pretty deep himself, and Alonso now leads this
:24:32. > :24:36.race by about five seconds from Mark Webber. Now that everybody has
:24:36. > :24:40.made their pit-stop, we can catch up a bit more with where everybody
:24:41. > :24:44.is. Let's just get a quick word with Sergio Perez, who went out at
:24:44. > :24:53.that incident with Maldonado. us about what happened from your
:24:53. > :25:00.seat. Well, I mean, Pastor Maldonado is a driver who does not
:25:00. > :25:05.respect other drivers. As a matter of fact, I was already in front,
:25:06. > :25:10.and if not, he should have given menot to crash. He tried to push me
:25:10. > :25:15.all way to the outside, and I do not understand a way he is driving.
:25:15. > :25:19.I mean, I hope the stewards come down hard on him, because the last
:25:19. > :25:22.three or four races he has done this with someone. It is not the
:25:22. > :25:27.first time he has damaged my weekend. He did the same with Lewis
:25:27. > :25:32.in Valencia. They just gave him a drive-through. It is not enough.
:25:32. > :25:37.The dive will never learn if they do not do something, because it is
:25:37. > :25:40.dangerous, he is a very dangerous driver, and it can hurt someone.
:25:40. > :25:45.Have the drive has spoken about it? Are they concerned about Pastor
:25:45. > :25:52.Maldonado? Everybody has concerns. He is a driver that does not have
:25:52. > :25:56.respect. Doesn't he know that we are risking our lives? He has no
:25:56. > :26:00.respect at all, and the way he is driving, I think the stewards have
:26:00. > :26:03.to do something by now, because it is not the first time he does
:26:03. > :26:08.something, and he does affect many other drivers, I am not the only
:26:08. > :26:12.one. Kimi Raikkonen is making the move on Michael Schumacher to take
:26:12. > :26:17.the eighth position, and Lewis Hamilton, on the softer compound
:26:17. > :26:21.tyres, has also got a chance now to make that same move on Schumacher.
:26:21. > :26:25.We just heard from his engineers prior to that same, you are on the
:26:25. > :26:30.options, the guys in front are on the harder tyres, the prime tyres,
:26:30. > :26:34.and Lewis Hamilton has called the pass on Schumacher into Copse. Two
:26:34. > :26:37.passes on Michael within the space of about one kilometre. The
:26:37. > :26:41.Mercedes is struggling at the moment to give pace with the
:26:42. > :26:45.McLaren and Lotus. Coming back to what Sergio Perez have his say,
:26:45. > :26:49.that is pretty strong and damning language regarding all of the
:26:49. > :26:53.drivers having concerns over the driving Standards of Maldonado. We
:26:53. > :26:57.are seeing a replay of Kimi Raikkonen going around the outside
:26:57. > :27:02.of Michael on the run into Brooklands. He used the DRS very
:27:02. > :27:06.effectively, and there was nothing Michael could do about it. You will
:27:06. > :27:11.see the game in speed, the reduction in drag, and it works
:27:11. > :27:16.beautifully. The big challenge here now would be for Webber to close at
:27:16. > :27:21.gap, because Alonso has been on the hard tyre and will be on the soft
:27:21. > :27:26.at the end, whereas Webber can end the race on the hard. The end of
:27:26. > :27:31.the race is where that will play at, and Webber needs to show at the gap
:27:31. > :27:38.down. Webber and Vettel not out of this yet if the tyre choice works
:27:38. > :27:42.in the latter stages. He has closed the gap to Massa, but it is coming
:27:42. > :27:47.down by little margins. Hamilton is still in sixth place, Lewis
:27:47. > :27:51.Hamilton in sixth place, Schumacher in 7th, Kobayashi are Sauber in 8th,
:27:51. > :27:54.Hulkenberg is quietly during a round in ninth place. Sorry, he is
:27:55. > :27:58.trying hard, but he is out of our view at the moment a little bit
:27:58. > :28:04.because he is on his own, Hulkenberg. Senna is intense and
:28:04. > :28:09.has been intense for much of the race. Button is in 11th ahead of
:28:09. > :28:15.Rosberg. Ricciardo is back up to 13th, then, a firm, Kovalainen,
:28:15. > :28:18.Maldonado, Glock. De la Rosa has gone back into the pits. Cars not
:28:18. > :28:23.in the race, as McLaren get ready for a pit stop, we lost Petrov
:28:23. > :28:28.before the start of the race in the Caterham, and then we lost Di Resta
:28:28. > :28:33.and Perez. In comes Lewis Hamilton, and it was a short stint on the
:28:33. > :28:36.softer tyre, David, and now they're putting the harder tyre on. They
:28:36. > :28:40.have indeed. We would expect them to look at another stop this
:28:40. > :28:44.afternoon, but of course they only need to stop for tyres if he
:28:45. > :28:54.chooses. There is no refuelling, and he only did eight laps on the
:28:55. > :29:03.
:29:03. > :29:08.last set of tyres. That brings him has done to pit stops. But in is so
:29:08. > :29:13.much further down the grid. The majority of people on the harder
:29:13. > :29:17.compound. Lewis Hamilton put in the pressure on Nico Rosberg and not
:29:17. > :29:24.wanting to hang around too long on these two tyres to get past the
:29:24. > :29:27.Mercedes. He will get new performance. Qualifying was wet so
:29:27. > :29:33.there is an ample amount of new tyres. You don't want to manage
:29:33. > :29:42.them through their life. They just give you that more confidence, even
:29:42. > :29:46.when you have a hefty amount of fuel. TEAM RADIO: That is good, we
:29:46. > :29:56.have in close behind. 23 laps to go. You don't want to be stopping again.
:29:56. > :29:57.
:29:57. > :30:04.Great job. Lots of encouragement for Lewis Hamilton. Picking his way
:30:04. > :30:12.through the traffic. Both HRT cars still very much in this. Bruno
:30:13. > :30:15.Senna up the road, 10th position. Both Williams cars still running.
:30:15. > :30:22.Maldonado having lost all that time after that incident with Sergio
:30:22. > :30:30.Perez. And a monocle, Maldonado crashed into Sergio Perez. But that
:30:30. > :30:33.was a different instant. That was a more deliberate manoeuvre. Lots of
:30:33. > :30:38.suspension travel in the front of that Lotus. I have never noticed
:30:38. > :30:45.that. Running wide as he goes deeper into what is the entry of
:30:45. > :30:48.the Village section. Now on to Aintree corner. Look at the amount
:30:48. > :30:54.of suspension. That isn't something we are supposed to see on these
:30:54. > :31:00.cars. Builders will have that third element. Generating that downforce
:31:00. > :31:06.in a straight line, making sure it does not run on the ground. On the
:31:06. > :31:14.lower speed corners, you allow the car to have compliance. Gary, can
:31:14. > :31:20.you come in? Hamilton getting past Rosberg. We see that suspension
:31:20. > :31:25.movement on the Lotus. Here comes Grosjean. Could that be because the
:31:25. > :31:31.cars were set up softer in the expectation of a wet race? He it
:31:31. > :31:37.could be, there is another suspension system and those big
:31:37. > :31:41.cars would be more compliant. Yes. It would not be surprised to see
:31:41. > :31:47.more rolling on these cars for the wet conditions because the forecast
:31:47. > :31:54.for today was wet. Yes, I am sure that is true. And the teams are not
:31:54. > :31:59.allowed to change the set up after qualifying. He cannot change the
:31:59. > :32:04.set up. They interesting up front. Grosjean has the best Seat in the
:32:04. > :32:10.house. McLaren against McLaren. Different strategies. Barton has
:32:10. > :32:13.yet to make his second stop. Hamilton has already. Jenson Button
:32:13. > :32:20.taking his racing line. This will cost Lewis Hamilton some
:32:20. > :32:25.performance. Will people that pass on Wellington Street? Using DRS?
:32:25. > :32:31.Both McLaren cars together. Hamilton with the DRS but he isn't
:32:31. > :32:37.close enough. That suggests the drivers are free to race. That is a
:32:37. > :32:41.fantastic thing. Team orders are allowed. Jenson Button not giving
:32:41. > :32:46.any quarter. He has his strategy and it looks like Lewis Hamilton
:32:46. > :32:51.will pull his pass down into Copse corner. Exactly where he passed
:32:51. > :32:56.Nico Rosberg. He has fresher tyres and that will allow growth shone
:32:56. > :33:00.through... Nothing he can do. Hamilton would have liked Jenson
:33:00. > :33:05.Button to hold Grosjean off for a little bit longer because McLaren
:33:05. > :33:09.are racing hard for position and also, joining up and coming in
:33:09. > :33:14.behind, Nico Rosberg. He seemed to be struggling earlier but is now
:33:14. > :33:23.catching up to the McLaren. In the pits, Sebastian Vettel. He gets on
:33:23. > :33:32.his way. Kimi Raikkonen. The harder compound. He is driving a good race.
:33:32. > :33:38.And a good opportunity to perhaps mix with the Red Bull. -- Red Bulls.
:33:38. > :33:43.Can they get to the end of the race on the set of tyres? That is the
:33:43. > :33:50.key for Michael Schumacher. Adrian Sutil, there. Formerly from Force
:33:50. > :34:00.India. Where will he come back out? Just trying to say. With
:34:00. > :34:07.Hulkenberg? He can see in the background. TEAM RADIO: We have two
:34:07. > :34:12.options. We will have the best tyres we can for the rest of the
:34:12. > :34:17.race. Fernando Alonso still has to run the softer tyres. They are
:34:17. > :34:23.hoping that by staying out there, the Red Bulls will have a chance to
:34:24. > :34:28.do something. Here we are with Grosjean. He is ahead of Lewis
:34:28. > :34:33.Hamilton. Let us see how this happened. Grosjean on the attack
:34:33. > :34:38.for quite a while. This is how he did it, using DRS. Lewis Hamilton
:34:38. > :34:43.does not even defend. He just feels that the difference in pace is so
:34:43. > :34:48.much, he has it that will feint to the left and then stays on the
:34:48. > :34:53.racing line and that releases Grosjean. He immediately goes
:34:53. > :34:59.purple in the first sector. Felipe Massa. This is also crucial stop.
:34:59. > :35:05.Mark Webber has set the fastest lap. Were wilfully them as a come out?
:35:06. > :35:15.Both Red Bulls are fastest. Sebastian Vettel has already gone
:35:16. > :35:18.
:35:18. > :35:24.through. -- were -- where will he come out? Kobayashi is in behind.
:35:24. > :35:28.Mark Webber sets the fastest lap of the race but only six tenths
:35:28. > :35:33.quicker than what Fernando Alonso is doing on the older tyres.
:35:33. > :35:37.Ferrari showing great pace. In this long run in the middle stand.
:35:37. > :35:42.Fernando Alonso has some breathing space. He can afford to run out a
:35:42. > :35:47.couple of laps, if he wants. There is a clear indication that he will
:35:48. > :35:52.need to come in some time soon. have to run those times. Fernando
:35:52. > :36:00.Alonso and Kobayashi have to make those extra stops. Rosberg, still
:36:00. > :36:04.has not used the soft tyres. Some pit stops still to come. Mark
:36:04. > :36:08.Webber and Sebastian Vettel will be going to the end of this. When this
:36:08. > :36:13.work for Red Bull? Can they keep the pressure on Fernando Alonso in
:36:13. > :36:19.that final stint? It is down to these laps, Mark Webber is behind
:36:19. > :36:26.Fernando Alonso and he has to get that down to about 15. So that when
:36:26. > :36:31.he pits, he is right on his tail. Fernando Alonso, 36.5, his fastest
:36:31. > :36:36.of the race. He would need to go 42 to make sure he does not get caught
:36:36. > :36:41.up with the software. They say is crucial. Mark Webber has to go for
:36:41. > :36:45.it. He has set the fastest lap. You are watching a man who isn't so
:36:45. > :36:49.much looking... He still has to look after the tyres, he cannot
:36:49. > :36:58.afford to over keep them, but he has to put in some qualifying style
:36:58. > :37:02.that. This will not be enough, Ferrari can mutter that and they do
:37:02. > :37:06.not want to be too early on to the option tyre. They do not like that
:37:06. > :37:09.as much as the prime, harder tyre. But she would rather defend the
:37:10. > :37:14.position from having the lead and just sitting there and watching the
:37:14. > :37:18.lead being eroded and then put in because you aim for the target lap.
:37:18. > :37:24.Ferrari will manage that, Fernando Alonso, their experienced and the
:37:24. > :37:30.fastest man on the track is Kimi Raikkonen. He has just set the
:37:30. > :37:37.fastest lap. One-tenth quicker than Mark Webber. The Lotus has got
:37:37. > :37:46.great pace. It isn't so hot, Lotus usually performs well when it is
:37:46. > :37:51.hot. Fernando Alonso... That is earlier than expected. As I said,
:37:51. > :37:55.you do not want to watch the lead being eroded, anything can happen
:37:56. > :37:59.at the pit stop, they would rather released the man and let him use
:37:59. > :38:02.his experience to manage the tyres. You can only do so much and when
:38:02. > :38:06.the tyres drop off the edge of the cliff, at least he is doing that
:38:06. > :38:09.for the position of a breathing space. Clean air and several
:38:09. > :38:17.seconds on Mark Webber. We will see them at the end of the first sector
:38:17. > :38:22.and will give you an update. Mark Webber, about five seconds out.
:38:22. > :38:26.Mark Webber knows exactly what the target is. He will have seen it. He
:38:26. > :38:32.knows that is the final stop and down the other situation, they both
:38:32. > :38:38.run into the flag and are both on different tyres. Kobayashi being
:38:38. > :38:43.pulled back to his pit box. I do not know what happened. A Labour
:38:43. > :38:48.get a replay. He either overshot the box or they released him and
:38:48. > :38:55.decided to pull him back. Let us keep an eye on the screens. As we
:38:55. > :39:00.see Kobayashi going out, also Nico Rosberg. Returning to the race.
:39:00. > :39:08.Let's take a look at this. This is what happened. We caught a glimpse
:39:08. > :39:13.of this. Oh! No! He hit several of his guys. He came in so quickly.
:39:13. > :39:18.That is so unusual to see. So will uncomfortable to watch. Those brave
:39:18. > :39:24.mechanics to put themselves on the frontline. Unfortunately, the man
:39:24. > :39:29.on the right-hand side, very little room to get out of the way. The
:39:29. > :39:35.front gunman gets hit, the Jack Mann. And the censor, which is
:39:35. > :39:39.attached to that cable, when flying out. That gives some indication
:39:39. > :39:44.that they can rejoin. That has gone wrong for Kobayashi this afternoon.
:39:44. > :39:49.He was running in 5th place. Mark Webber turning on the pressure on
:39:49. > :39:53.Fernando Alonso and we're into the last 10 laps. Fernando Alonso
:39:53. > :39:58.managing the situation, such a wider customer, he might allow Mark
:39:58. > :40:02.Webber to just think he can control his own tyres. That is what
:40:02. > :40:09.Fernando Alonso has to do, look after his equipment. Mark Webber,
:40:09. > :40:12.this is how close it is, the gap between first and second place.
:40:12. > :40:17.Through Becketts and on to Hangar Straight... Not close enough to
:40:17. > :40:22.challenge. Quicker on the middle sector, taking chunks of the lap
:40:22. > :40:29.time. He knows he is on the more durable tyres and he knows how to
:40:29. > :40:34.win this race track. That famous line when he won, not bad for the
:40:34. > :40:38.No. 2 driver. Well, he is No. 1 driver today. If he starts losing
:40:38. > :40:44.time, that will allow Sebastian Vettel to come back. He is running
:40:44. > :40:49.five seconds behind in this battle for the lead. Dos Fernando Alonso
:40:49. > :40:54.have anything to resist this attack from Mark Webber? He is within the
:40:54. > :40:58.DRS zone, the gap is down to have the second, you must be one second
:40:58. > :41:02.or less behind the competitor. That is what he has achieved, really
:41:02. > :41:09.going on the attack. They have traffic ahead, just to confuse the
:41:09. > :41:15.issue. Karthikeyan. DRS in opposition. No chance to get
:41:15. > :41:19.through, Mark Webber knows he has got time. 6.5 laps to go in the
:41:19. > :41:23.British Grand Prix and Fernando Alonso now fighting to hold on.
:41:23. > :41:29.Remember, Fernando Alonso has been in this position this year when he
:41:29. > :41:33.has to manage his tyres. Can he stay in front? I think Mark Webber
:41:33. > :41:37.has to do this as quickly as possible because Fernando Alonso is
:41:37. > :41:44.going through the tyre grading problem and that is when he has to
:41:44. > :41:53.pounce. Once a tyre starts to corrupt... TEAM RADIO: The weather
:41:53. > :41:59.is fine. As I said, get Fernando Alonso when he is close because
:41:59. > :42:03.when those tyres clean-up, he will do better lap times. He has to get
:42:03. > :42:07.on with it. We have seen several times this year. If you get close
:42:07. > :42:12.behind the leader and do not go for it soon, you start today's
:42:12. > :42:17.performers on the tyres. The man in the slipstream. You have to make
:42:17. > :42:21.the move quickly. Mark Webber applying pressure. There was
:42:21. > :42:26.traffic ahead of Fernando Alonso the last time and that meant he had
:42:26. > :42:30.help from the DRS. No traffic this time. Mark Webber getting as close
:42:30. > :42:34.as you like. Everybody getting excited. They know that there is a
:42:34. > :42:38.change of lead in prospect at Fernando Alonso focusing on that
:42:38. > :42:43.brilliant exit out of the tight left-hander through injury. Great
:42:43. > :42:48.bit of driving from Ferrari. Mark Webber, will he be close enough?
:42:48. > :42:52.Having a look but you cannot do it. To fire back but when he brings
:42:52. > :42:57.that car out of the slipstream, he gets that visual for Fernando
:42:57. > :43:01.Alonso, who is more than aware that he is there. He has deployed more
:43:01. > :43:06.of his KERS. Setting himself up for the overtake. He has less available
:43:06. > :43:09.for the rest of the lap. That is the only other tool at their
:43:09. > :43:14.disposal, other than carrying a better line through the turns.
:43:14. > :43:20.Fernando Alonso, using his KERS On the Run down Wellington to protect
:43:20. > :43:24.himself and then holding on in the middle sector. As you can see, he
:43:24. > :43:28.cuts the kerb so tightly to get the car as straight as possible on to
:43:28. > :43:33.Hangar Straight. On board with Michael Schumacher, battling with
:43:33. > :43:39.Hamilton. The pass on Lewis Hamilton. A looks like it. Michael
:43:40. > :43:45.Schumacher down the outside. He made the mistake? Yes, he did.
:43:45. > :43:50.Michael Schumacher in 7th position. Podium last time in Valencia. Back
:43:50. > :43:55.with the leaders. These are the top two in the World Championship. Mark
:43:55. > :44:05.Webber, second in the points. The last two winners at Silverstone
:44:05. > :44:08.
:44:08. > :44:13.to the back of the Ferrari through the tight section, almost clipping
:44:13. > :44:21.his front wing against the rear tyre of Alonso. Is closer this time.
:44:21. > :44:26.A Alonso is using all his KERS out of turn four. He is going around
:44:26. > :44:30.the outside of Brooklands for the lead! He has done it, Mark when I
:44:30. > :44:35.get ahead, but he is a little white and Alonso will try to come through
:44:35. > :44:40.on the inside. Passing the grandstands, the old start-finish
:44:40. > :44:44.area, he has taken the lead for Red Bull. That is a perfect example of
:44:45. > :44:50.teamwork. It is not just Mark tried to find a position to pass, his
:44:50. > :44:55.engineer was explaining exactly how Alonso was deploying his strategy
:44:55. > :44:59.tools and using all of his KERS on the Wellington strake. Mark bottoms
:44:59. > :45:04.of into a better position and in the end a brave pass around the
:45:04. > :45:12.outside of Brooklands. He's certainly got on with it quickly,
:45:12. > :45:21.talk us through this. They are both deploy in tears, but macro has DRS
:45:21. > :45:26.at his sleeve. -- they are both deploying KERS, but Mark has DRS up
:45:26. > :45:30.his sleeve. Fernando was very fair and did not try to push him out. He
:45:31. > :45:35.tries to come back towards Luffield, but in the end Mark was too fast
:45:35. > :45:39.for him. We could be seeing a replay of the battle between two
:45:39. > :45:44.potential team-mates in the future, it is a possibility, a rumour that
:45:44. > :45:49.Mark Webber may end up going to Ferrari. At the moment, he is
:45:49. > :45:54.leading this race or Red Bull. Looking at tyres, Mark's are
:45:54. > :45:59.completely clean, no sign of any graining. When we had the image of
:45:59. > :46:08.Fernando's car, you could see the tell-tale sign in the middle of the
:46:08. > :46:12.tyres. Lap 51 out of 52, Webber in control in the Red Bull. Fernando
:46:12. > :46:16.Alonso, though, the championship leader, will protect his
:46:16. > :46:21.championship lead, although it is his closest rival he will gain some
:46:21. > :46:24.seven points on him. Meanwhile, Bruno Senna is trying to get past
:46:25. > :46:29.Nico Hulkenberg. He was held up as he tried to accelerate out of the
:46:29. > :46:33.corner, so what does this do for Jenson Button? He was trying to
:46:33. > :46:37.battle for the final point, but Senna puts himself on the outside
:46:37. > :46:42.and will have the position as they ran into Luffield. Button trying to
:46:42. > :46:46.join in, Senna still felt that of Hulkenberg, and a crucial move for
:46:46. > :46:51.Bruno Senna to take ninth place from Nico Hulkenberg. Jenson Button
:46:51. > :46:55.is not close enough, but here comes Hulkenberg down the outside!
:46:55. > :46:59.this will give Button a chance as Hulkenberg runs wide, and Button
:46:59. > :47:04.gets into the points as Hulkenberg did not want to relinquish that
:47:04. > :47:08.place, and in the end he went from running in ninth place down to 11th.
:47:08. > :47:13.We are on to the final lap, and the Red Bull guys are running out of
:47:13. > :47:17.the pit garage already, because Mark Webber surely has this one
:47:17. > :47:21.under control. I say that, who can forget that Vettel lost a dominant
:47:21. > :47:24.lead just a couple of weeks ago when the alternator overheated? I
:47:25. > :47:28.do not think that is going to happen on this occasion, Renault
:47:28. > :47:33.have made sure it will mark happened this weekend, and Mark
:47:33. > :47:36.Webber has driven beautifully. The qualified second to Alonso by only
:47:36. > :47:41.a few hundredths of a second in the wet session yesterday, and they
:47:41. > :47:45.have both been the dominant force in the dry here today. Great work
:47:45. > :47:50.by the team, they have so little data to actually work with about
:47:50. > :47:54.strategy, but whatever they worked out, it worked out perfectly.
:47:54. > :47:59.have had a run of pole positions until yesterday, Red Bull, several
:47:59. > :48:02.victories here, so the data they rely on is a bit historical, and
:48:02. > :48:11.unleashing the potential of the car, Mark Webber almost gave them pole
:48:11. > :48:15.position. In the end, he has driven beautifully, used the strategy of
:48:15. > :48:18.the tyres, and as he enters Stowe corner, with the chequered flag in
:48:18. > :48:23.sight, surely this is going to be another victory for the Australian.
:48:23. > :48:29.Mark Webber comes in to bail and through Club corner, he is going to
:48:29. > :48:34.win the British Grand Prix for the second time in three years! He is
:48:34. > :48:39.also a second repeat when are of 2012, Mark Webber takes victory,
:48:39. > :48:42.Alonso finishes second, Vettel makes its two Red Bulls on the
:48:42. > :48:48.podium, what an achievement after some difficult times in the early
:48:48. > :48:54.part of the season. Massa is a fine 4th, just, from Ryton by 0.7 of a
:48:54. > :48:59.second. Massa have to battle to the line, last year with Hamilton, this
:48:59. > :49:03.year with Raikkonen, but Massa does get 4th. Michael Schumacher
:49:03. > :49:08.crossing the line now in 7th, we expect Hamilton to come through in
:49:08. > :49:13.eighth place any moment now. Yes, there he is, but the winner is the
:49:13. > :49:17.Australian, it is Mark Webber. Red Bull have had a wonderful day at
:49:17. > :49:21.Silverstone, and when you bear in mind that Sebastian Vettel was
:49:21. > :49:26.leading the last race in Valencia with a dominant advantage and tell
:49:26. > :49:36.their car broke down, it would seem that Red Bull are right back in
:49:36. > :49:40.was some drive, he was catching Fernando Alonso for so long, and
:49:40. > :49:46.the overtake will be very special indeed, because Alonso is the man
:49:46. > :49:50.in the lead of the championship. A great day for Red Bull, and Ferrari,
:49:50. > :49:54.the four fastest cars on the track, but a real struggle for McLaren,
:49:54. > :49:59.8th and 10th for them, and Bruno Senna finishes 9th for Williams,
:49:59. > :50:02.which is important when it comes to the constructors standings. The
:50:02. > :50:07.Drivers' Championship, Fernando Alonso retains the lead, but Mark
:50:07. > :50:12.Webber closes its down, closer all the time, just 13 points between
:50:12. > :50:17.the two. Sebastian Vettel slips down to fourth place. Look at that,
:50:17. > :50:23.Jenson Button now Kainth with just 50 points on the board, compared to
:50:23. > :50:28.Alonso's 129. Why was it important for Bruno Senna? It means Williams
:50:28. > :50:32.moved in front of Force India. At the front, Red Bull extend their
:50:32. > :50:36.lead, 216 points on the board, quite a way in front of Ferrari
:50:36. > :50:44.with McLaren languishing in 4th behind Lotus. They have serious
:50:44. > :50:50.Congratulations, the British Grand Prix seems to suit you down to the
:50:50. > :50:54.ground. Four consecutive podiums, your second win, well done. Yeah, I
:50:54. > :50:59.really enjoy driving here, I think this one has taken a bit longer to
:50:59. > :51:02.sink in and some of the other wins we have had. I think you do these
:51:02. > :51:06.circumstances, I do not think I have had a win where I grabbed
:51:06. > :51:10.victory so late, especially when you are dealing with Fernando. It
:51:10. > :51:14.is always important to get things right. I knew when I arrived on in
:51:14. > :51:19.that tactically I needed to be spot-on. We have the dress
:51:19. > :51:25.rehearsal the lap before, but I sat up a little bit high in turn four,
:51:25. > :51:28.then I went lower on the next lap. I teed him up and tried to make him
:51:28. > :51:33.vulnerable, the work moved -- the move worked well. I needed to make
:51:33. > :51:37.those things work very well. I do not think Fernando and the last
:51:37. > :51:42.balance in the last stint, and that can happen to any of us. I feel
:51:42. > :51:47.happy. Obviously, when you are leading the race and at the end
:51:47. > :51:52.only four laps to the end, you lose victory, you have mixed feelings,
:51:52. > :51:59.but in a way the championship points in the weekend has been
:51:59. > :52:04.fantastic for us. We knew, different strategies and tyres to
:52:04. > :52:07.start with, we knew that we had the best performing tyre at the
:52:07. > :52:12.beginning of the race, we had to open a gap because at the end we
:52:12. > :52:16.would have the last performing tyre, and for sure we did not open an up
:52:16. > :52:22.gap and it was impossible to defend. It was a tough race today, the
:52:22. > :52:26.start was not good, I got stuck behind Michael, and good strategy
:52:26. > :52:32.to come back, we decided to pit early, user momentum and come out
:52:32. > :52:36.ahead. That was a good call, but all in all obviously I would be
:52:36. > :52:40.happier if I would have won, but nevertheless I think it was a great
:52:40. > :52:43.result for the team, very happy, we are down the road, it is our home
:52:43. > :52:46.Grand Prix. A disappointing day in the sense that we wish we could
:52:46. > :52:51.have gone further forward and we wish we could have given more for
:52:51. > :52:55.the fans, you know, given more of a result, but we push and I pushed as
:52:55. > :53:00.hard as I could, I was flat-out right to the end, and for some
:53:00. > :53:05.reason we did not have any speed. It is a little bit frustrating, you
:53:05. > :53:09.know, followers and myself, so we have got to pull together and make
:53:09. > :53:13.some progress for the next race in Hockenheim, because this was very
:53:13. > :53:15.disappointing in front of the home crowd, who have been amazing over
:53:15. > :53:19.the whole weekend. Difficult weather conditions, it has been
:53:19. > :53:23.tough for them, and we wanted to put on a better show today, so
:53:23. > :53:28.sorry for that, but hopefully we will next time. We are not sure if
:53:28. > :53:32.somebody hit us all something happened to the tyre, but I turned
:53:32. > :53:37.into turn four and it was clearly punctured. It is unfortunate, but
:53:37. > :53:41.there is nothing you can do. Getting back to the pits, I damage
:53:41. > :53:46.to the fore quite badly, and when I went back out, I went off at
:53:46. > :53:49.Becketts, and there was no way to continue. They're all these crucial
:53:49. > :53:53.aerodynamic parts to create downforce. The thoughts of David
:53:54. > :53:58.Coulthard, you won this race and two occasions, and so has Mark
:53:58. > :54:01.Webber, how do they compare? Having experienced the incredible eye of
:54:01. > :54:04.winning the first Grand Prix, you can really savour the second one,
:54:04. > :54:09.and there's no question that Mark Webber is a man the Lowes the
:54:09. > :54:13.Silverstone track. He lives very close to the venue, races more
:54:13. > :54:17.rebel, who are based very close here. You could see the clenched
:54:17. > :54:21.fist as he went over the line, a remarkable drive, great pass on
:54:21. > :54:25.Alonso, a well deserved victory. And today signifies that Ferrari
:54:25. > :54:29.and Red Bull are the fastest teams in Formula One, and this
:54:29. > :54:32.development race that we have been talking about, that is vital as we
:54:32. > :54:35.look to the second half of this season. McLaren opened the season
:54:36. > :54:39.with a win for Jenson Button, but they have been struggling to keep
:54:39. > :54:43.on top of development and has since. Ferrari have been the development
:54:43. > :54:47.gains this year. Nine races later, they are in pole position and
:54:47. > :54:52.finishing second. Their man is leading the world championship. For
:54:52. > :54:56.McLaren, the pressure is on. At a difficult day for come we Kobayashi
:54:56. > :55:00.and Pastor Maldonado. Kobayashi takes a fine of the incident in the
:55:00. > :55:04.pit-lane, Maldonado takes a reprimand for the incident on track,
:55:04. > :55:07.both their question I it is interesting, I think the Kobayashi
:55:07. > :55:11.one is clearly an accident. There's no way you want to pile into your
:55:11. > :55:15.mechanics, but you have to respect the entry speed of the cars. In the
:55:15. > :55:20.case of Maldonado, he has previous form and is paying the price for
:55:20. > :55:23.that. Literally paying the price in the case of Camilla Kobayashi, and
:55:23. > :55:25.Pastor Maldonado gets a telling off. The fans turned out in force and
