:01:04. > :01:08.anything to go by, we could be set for another cracker this year. This

:01:08. > :01:11.could be a spectacular Grand Prix. All the action from qualifying in a

:01:11. > :01:20.few moments. This is the way the calendar looks for 2012. The big

:01:20. > :01:23.story this weekend has been the fact that that on the 22nd April we

:01:23. > :01:33.are due to race cars in Bahrain. The FIA said that race goes ahead

:01:33. > :01:42.

:01:42. > :01:47.as part of the 2012 race calendar. ahead of Sebastian Vettel who is

:01:47. > :01:53.the championship leader for the hole of 2011. It was Red Bull all

:01:53. > :01:59.the way. McLaren have set the early pace. They have extended their lead.

:01:59. > :02:04.Three teams have yet to score. The three newest teams in Formula One.

:02:04. > :02:06.Right, time to show you what happened in qualifying followed by

:02:06. > :02:10.the race action. Here is Lee McKenzie.

:02:10. > :02:16.Sebastian Vettel came to China looking for his fourth poll

:02:16. > :02:21.position, but he was left looking for answers after going out in Q2

:02:21. > :02:25.for the first time since Brazil 2009. He starts from 11th. Ferrari

:02:26. > :02:29.may have won the last Grand Prix, but they knew this weekend was

:02:29. > :02:32.going to be tough. Alonso did make it through, but had to settle for

:02:32. > :02:41.ninth. Delighted after Sunday in Malaysia,

:02:41. > :02:45.Sauber were given more reasons to smile after Kobayashi kalified

:02:45. > :02:52.fourth. -- qualified fourth. Lewis Hamilton knew before qualifying

:02:52. > :02:57.that he had to take a grid penalty for a gearbox change.

:02:57. > :03:02.His team-mate will start fifth. Mercedes new the track should suit

:03:02. > :03:05.them, but no one expect add stunning -- expected a stunning

:03:05. > :03:12.time for Nico Rosberg. Michael Schumacher put his car third and

:03:12. > :03:20.was surprised when he spoke to his engineer on team team radio.

:03:20. > :03:30.TEAM RADIO: OK, Michael so Nico's lap time 35.1.

:03:30. > :03:31.

:03:31. > :03:34.Lewis Hamilton's penalty. Kobayashi moves up to third and with another

:03:34. > :03:38.strong performance from Kimi Raikkonen in fourth. Jenson Button

:03:38. > :03:45.starts in fourth and Mark Webber moves up to fifth. Hamilton starts

:03:45. > :03:52.seventh. Alonso is nieupt with ninth with Vettel behind him.

:03:52. > :03:58.Williams are on the seventh row followed by Force India. After

:03:58. > :04:06.changing bodywork, Jean-Eric Vergne starts from the pit lane. HRT are

:04:06. > :04:12.the grid in China, but they have beaten to poll position by a man

:04:12. > :04:22.who has yet to win a race in 110 attempts. The Chinese Grand Prix

:04:22. > :04:25.

:04:25. > :04:29.continues the early season tour of Lights out. Away we go! Rosberg

:04:29. > :04:34.gets off the line well. Schumacher is slower away. Kimi Raikkonen

:04:34. > :04:44.trying to go up into third. Around the outside, is that Button? I

:04:44. > :04:48.think it is. Jenson Button gets past Raikkonen. Hamilton now trying

:04:48. > :04:53.to follow through. Kobayashi had a poor get away and he has his team-

:04:53. > :04:57.mate, Perez not far behind. It looks like Sebastian Vettel

:04:57. > :05:03.dropped grid positions in the scramble through turn one, but

:05:03. > :05:09.unlike in a previous two years when we have seen a poll man losing his

:05:09. > :05:14.place in the first corner. The two Saubers are side by side.

:05:14. > :05:22.Each of them fighting for position here. Perez has got passed

:05:22. > :05:27.Kobayashi. Mark Webber - Alonso passed him. He dived down the

:05:27. > :05:34.inside of the Ferrari. Alonso has to make the most of the lap.

:05:34. > :05:39.Raikkonen fourth, Hamilton fifth, Perezics Perez sixth. He has come

:05:39. > :05:43.up well from eighth place. The end of the second sector,

:05:43. > :05:53.Sebastian Vettel not only had a terrible qualifying, he a terrible

:05:53. > :05:54.

:05:54. > :05:57.start and he is down to 15th. Webber. Rosberg has control of the

:05:57. > :06:05.race. Webber and Alonso look at them side by side and Alonso

:06:05. > :06:10.retakes the place from Mark Webber. Felipe Massa is alongside them as

:06:10. > :06:15.well. Alonso versus Webber with Massa not far behind. Webber needs

:06:15. > :06:19.to be back ahead of that Ferrari. As fast as possible. Rosberg leads

:06:19. > :06:24.from Schumacher. They have a gap of 1.3 seconds over Button in third

:06:24. > :06:30.followed by Raikkonen and Hamilton. Further down the order. There is a

:06:30. > :06:38.move from Maldonado. It doesn't come off. Maldonado trying to get

:06:38. > :06:43.past Sebastian Vettel. Sebastian Vettel passed Maldonado.

:06:43. > :06:47.Looking at the front running order, Michael Schumacher is 0.7 seconds

:06:47. > :06:52.behind Rosberg. The reason why that is crucial, at the end of the

:06:52. > :07:02.second lap we will get DRS activated and that will give you

:07:02. > :07:03.

:07:03. > :07:13.that extra speed on the run-down to Senna running in twelfth place

:07:13. > :07:17.alongside Romain Grosjean. Grosjean hasn't had any mishaps.

:07:17. > :07:23.Kovalainen lost out on that initial run. Glock is in 18th. Take a look

:07:23. > :07:27.at the start. Ace to start, Nico Rosberg. Michael

:07:27. > :07:33.Schumacher made a good start relative to the other cars, the

:07:33. > :07:40.Mercedes must have been hooked up, RPM, everything sorted. Look down

:07:40. > :07:44.the middle of the pack. You can see Sebastian Vettel was getting

:07:44. > :07:48.bunched in. At the back of the grid Grosjean was close to coming into

:07:48. > :07:54.the back of the Ferrari of Alonso. As you come to the end of the

:07:54. > :08:01.second lap, he has only done four racing laps this year. It will be a

:08:01. > :08:07.journey into the unknown in terms of his Grand Prix career. Senna -

:08:07. > :08:09.he runs into the back of the Ferrari and he has front wing

:08:09. > :08:15.damage. But Senna is in twelfth place. This

:08:15. > :08:19.is the start from Lewis Hamilton. How did this go? The use of KERS.

:08:19. > :08:27.He deployed that and gets a nice run-down the the inside of the

:08:27. > :08:32.Sauber. It was Tarredy of Perez leaving the door open and that

:08:32. > :08:37.allows Lewis to run the inside line into turn two.

:08:37. > :08:43.Kobayashi slow away. We are on board with Sebastian Vettel finding

:08:43. > :08:53.his way in 14th position after that miserable first lap and trying to

:08:53. > :09:01.get past Paul di Resta. TEAM RADIO: I cannot get past them

:09:01. > :09:09.I am afraid. Understood. A little bit of frustration coming

:09:09. > :09:14.through in Sebastian's voice. He has got to be patient. Grosjean

:09:14. > :09:17.having a look at Massa. That would make me nervous given

:09:17. > :09:21.Grosjean's record. He made it to lap seven. He has almost doubled

:09:21. > :09:31.his laps. Somebody is diving into the pits.

:09:31. > :09:32.

:09:32. > :09:37.Is it Vettel? That's Mark Webber. Nico Hulkenberg is struggling

:09:37. > :09:42.himself, but that is a very, very early stop. Let's get some reaction

:09:42. > :09:49.from Gary in the pit lane on this. What do you reckon, Gary? Webber is

:09:49. > :09:54.still on the harder tyre. He was stuck in traffic and he is making

:09:54. > :10:00.use of that. He might as well come in and get one of the stops done

:10:00. > :10:03.and when these guys have problems with their tyres, he can overtake a

:10:03. > :10:05.few. It is a gamble, but you have got to do something when you are

:10:05. > :10:10.stuck out there. Do you think we will see something

:10:10. > :10:16.from Vettel as well? He is stuck there. He is complaining about

:10:16. > :10:26.straight line speed. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised. He

:10:26. > :10:26.

:10:26. > :10:31.is stuck in traffic so he might as Kobayashi is making his way towards

:10:31. > :10:39.the pit lane. Presumably this will pit lane as we speak. That tricky

:10:39. > :10:43.pit lane entry which fought Lewis Hamilton out in horrible conditions

:10:43. > :10:50.when he no grip left on his tyres in 2007. We get ready to send him

:10:50. > :10:54.on his way. Force India awaiting Nico Hulkenberg and Kobayashi

:10:54. > :10:58.headed off on to the pit exit. Vettel hoping that this early pit

:10:58. > :11:03.stop will help him. It brings him out into traffic. He has gone on to

:11:03. > :11:08.the medium, the harder compound which is being used this weekend as

:11:08. > :11:13.did his team-mate, Mark Webber. Perhaps what they have learned from

:11:13. > :11:21.Webber is sufficient. They have put a new nose on Nico Hulkenberg's car.

:11:21. > :11:25.A bit of damage on the front lap. That dropped him down. Button not

:11:25. > :11:30.keeping with Michael Schumacher. He has been hounded by Kimi Raikkonen

:11:30. > :11:35.then Lewis Hamilton. There is Perez. He is on the yellow, softer tyres

:11:35. > :11:38.as are most of the front-runners. As they come out of turn 13, had is

:11:38. > :11:43.the battle for second place. There is a number of different drivers

:11:43. > :11:46.and different cars and that's what is making Formula One exciting.

:11:46. > :11:51.The DRS zone is clearly marked. It is not having a great deal of

:11:51. > :11:57.effect in the racing which is surprising. You saw over 60 passes

:11:57. > :12:02.on track last year and the DRS accounted for half of those. So far,

:12:03. > :12:06.there there doesn't seem to be much marbling. He was followed in by

:12:06. > :12:10.Perez. It was Hamilton who followed him into the pits. Everyone

:12:10. > :12:13.reacting to Mark Webber having stopped on the hard tyres and Mark

:12:13. > :12:21.Webber is the fastest man on the track running down into 17th place

:12:21. > :12:26.and that has clearly given an ind an indication to all. That is what

:12:26. > :12:32.we expected, anywhere around 10 or 15 and it was a battle of the pit

:12:32. > :12:37.crews and Lotus not as good as McLaren and Hamilton getting out in

:12:37. > :12:42.front of Kimi Raikkonen. That is a place gained by McLaren.

:12:42. > :12:46.They changed their rear jacks. They are battling away with Mark Webber.

:12:46. > :12:51.Kimi Raikkonen might have lost that place to Mark Webber. Webber has

:12:51. > :12:55.got himself in in between those two cars. Suddenly Kimi has lost two

:12:55. > :12:59.places, but he will come straight back at Mark Webber. That's a

:12:59. > :13:05.tricky place to try and overtake. They almost touch. They virtually

:13:05. > :13:09.do. Webber gets the place. That was strate -- great stuff!

:13:09. > :13:17.Kimi Raikkonen would have used the KERS coming out of turn three and

:13:17. > :13:23.in the end, great wheel to wheel racing. Two proes there. Mark did

:13:23. > :13:26.what he should do which is let his car run out on to the line.

:13:26. > :13:32.TEAM RADIO: This is the option tyre. He has been told he is on the

:13:32. > :13:37.softer compound tyre. They had a rear jack last time out in Malaysia.

:13:37. > :13:44.McLaren lost a lot of time on pit stops for Lewis and Jenson. It

:13:44. > :13:47.meant a redesign of the jack they use. There was nothing wrong with

:13:47. > :13:51.that pit stop and it got them ahead of Raikkonen and ahead of Mark

:13:51. > :13:56.Webber. Lewis Hamilton's pit stop going according to plan this time.

:13:56. > :14:02.They are closing up on Heikki Kovalainen who is running in 13th.

:14:02. > :14:06.Kimi Raikkonen is trying to get past the Torro Rosso. These guys

:14:06. > :14:12.going side by side. Kobayashi getting into the mix as well. Great

:14:12. > :14:17.side by side racing. Jean-Eric Vergne is in the Torro Rosso and we

:14:17. > :14:23.have more pits. Button has been into the pits and comes back out.

:14:24. > :14:27.He is ahead of Hamilton and there is Kobayashi, part of that group in

:14:27. > :14:37.the Sauber. Let's see what we have got here. David, this was the

:14:37. > :14:39.

:14:39. > :14:43.battle between Raikkonen and part of that racetrack. They will

:14:43. > :14:47.be running with the limiters, and when they get to the white line,

:14:47. > :14:53.they release. It was all over for Kimi Raikkonen when he was dropped

:14:53. > :14:57.from his pit box. Great works from the McLaren crew. What is

:14:57. > :15:02.interesting, we have been talking about Mercedes not making the tyres

:15:02. > :15:10.last, and they still have not stopped. It is so confusing to try

:15:10. > :15:14.to make head nor tail of the tyres. They are on the option tyres. Nico

:15:14. > :15:18.Rosberg is still putting in good times. It is a very good point,

:15:18. > :15:28.Mercedes are still going round, while lots of others have been into

:15:28. > :15:29.

:15:29. > :15:36.the pits. Gary, are due surprised? Surprised, they have been working

:15:37. > :15:40.hard. It looks good. If you look at his Times, he is in the mid- 43 is,

:15:40. > :15:47.so it is staying stable. The car should go faster because of the

:15:47. > :15:54.fuel usage, but it is not. Michael was doing a good job of making sure

:15:54. > :16:00.that Nico Rosberg had a window. gap opened up. He has gone for the

:16:00. > :16:09.harder of the two tyres. Also into the pits, Bruno Senna. Will they do

:16:09. > :16:13.anything to the front wing? Michael Schumacher... Jenson Button goes

:16:13. > :16:20.around him. That has worked fantastically for Jenson Button. He

:16:20. > :16:28.gets out in front of Michael Schumacher. This is a replay of

:16:28. > :16:35.what happened to Nico Rosberg. He locked up, he ran wide. No real

:16:35. > :16:40.harm done, though. Nico Rosberg pushing on as he approaches his

:16:40. > :16:45.first stop. Jenson Button, crucial to get past Michael Schumacher.

:16:45. > :16:50.Michael Schumacher has pulled off! It must be a problem for him, for

:16:50. > :16:54.the second time this year. It was a gearbox in Australia, something has

:16:54. > :17:02.gone wrong again for Michael Schumacher. It is not going to be

:17:02. > :17:09.his day. He will not get his 92nd victory at the track where he got

:17:09. > :17:15.his last. RADIO: I am out of the race. It was something with his

:17:15. > :17:20.will. One of his pit crew were slapping the ground, as if there

:17:21. > :17:25.was an issue. Let's see if they have an issue. I did not quite

:17:25. > :17:32.catch what he said. Did he mention a problem with that the wheel?

:17:32. > :17:40.did not catch it myself. It is the harder compound. Nico Rosberg does

:17:40. > :17:45.not have anybody backing him up, he has got to do this on his own. He

:17:45. > :17:51.maintains the leader of the race. No, Sergio Perez has not been in

:17:51. > :18:00.yet, so he will be the race leader. Sauber are going for a different

:18:00. > :18:03.strategy, but Michael Schumacher... Can we spot anything? He mentioned

:18:03. > :18:11.he had an issue with his will. I saw one of the pit crew slapping

:18:11. > :18:19.the ground. We are watching out for wobbly wheels. We will get some

:18:19. > :18:26.more news on that sooner. That is a real shame for the crew. Also for

:18:26. > :18:30.Michael and for Ross Brawn. A big lock-up from Sergio Perez. Gary,

:18:30. > :18:35.give me your thoughts on the sort of pace we have seen from Sergio

:18:35. > :18:40.Perez, do you think they might go for two stops and others will go

:18:40. > :18:47.for free? That is what I would try to do. They are putting on the

:18:47. > :18:52.harbour of the tyres again. The lock-up hurt different tyre. They

:18:52. > :19:00.be to change and see how far they can go. This is the crucial stop

:19:00. > :19:05.for Sauber. Where he feeds back in,... It is the harder tyre.

:19:06. > :19:10.seemed to drag his clutch. They launched on the pit box at the same

:19:10. > :19:14.pressure as launching from the crypt. That will have cost him time.

:19:15. > :19:21.Normally, it is 21 seconds between leaving the track and rejoining,

:19:21. > :19:31.but in that case, about 22 seconds. He has come out just in front of

:19:31. > :19:34.

:19:35. > :19:39.Sebastian Vettel. He is behind Romain Grosjean. Let's listen. Down

:19:39. > :19:46.all the gears, into the hairpin. Let's listen as he comes into the

:19:46. > :19:53.left-hander. Still chasing after Kimi Raikkonen. They are fifth and

:19:53. > :20:01.sixth. Mark Webber comes in. He has decided to come in after 21 laps.

:20:02. > :20:08.Now, he is going on to another set of harder tyres. He will be

:20:08. > :20:13.spending a lot of time in the pit lane this afternoon. Where will he

:20:13. > :20:19.rejoined? Into clean air, nobody on the track. The next guy will be

:20:19. > :20:24.Jean-Eric Vergne. He has done 15 laps on that last set of tyres.

:20:24. > :20:28.McLaren are getting ready. Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton are

:20:28. > :20:36.second and third at the moment. It is the Ritz Hamilton, from third

:20:36. > :20:41.position. -- it is Lewis Hamilton. He is getting fed up of third place.

:20:41. > :20:46.He has had two so far this year. Not really, he is in a strong place

:20:46. > :20:50.in the championship. It was a strong stop from McLaren. But

:20:50. > :20:55.Fernando Alonso behind him in this race, it would be good news for

:20:55. > :21:02.Lewis Hamilton, he could take the championship lead. He comes out

:21:02. > :21:09.behind Felipe Massa. Into the pits, Jenson Button. He could not go any

:21:09. > :21:14.longer on those tyres. He goes on to the harder compound. Gary,

:21:14. > :21:23.interesting tactics for Red Bull and the Clavin, onto the harder

:21:23. > :21:27.compound. -- Red Bull and McLaren. Both tyres are competitive, but it

:21:27. > :21:32.is about how your car makes them work. You have to run both types.

:21:32. > :21:38.They will make one more stop. They can make up their mind for the last

:21:38. > :21:45.set, whether they use the softer compound, up or whether they use

:21:45. > :21:49.the harder compound. They can make the decision constructively,

:21:49. > :21:55.because the last 10 laps, that will tell the tale of who got the

:21:56. > :21:59.strategy correct. Whenever you pick from the lead, you end up down the

:21:59. > :22:07.grid, because everybody is packed so tightly together, with different

:22:07. > :22:11.strategies. Jenson Button trying to get past Pastor Maldonado. He was

:22:11. > :22:15.side-by-side. Lewis Hamilton is further behind, trying to get past

:22:15. > :22:23.Felipe Massa. Both of the McLaren drivers are in situations where

:22:23. > :22:30.they are in traffic. Look at the Williams, sliding around. Jenson

:22:30. > :22:36.Button trying to get a good exit off the 13th corner. The flat is

:22:37. > :22:40.open, he has got the top speed. 200 mph, the braking should be

:22:40. > :22:46.straightforward. Jenson Button has done what Lewis Hamilton has failed

:22:46. > :22:51.to do. This is really costing Lewis Hamilton, especially that Jenson

:22:51. > :22:54.Button has got past the car he came out behind after his stop. There

:22:54. > :23:00.was Hamilton could get frustrated. Remember Lewis Hamilton and Felipe

:23:00. > :23:05.Massa coming together last year. They spend a lot of time getting up

:23:05. > :23:10.close and personal. This is where Lewis Hamilton passed Jenson Button

:23:11. > :23:16.last year. It has got to watch out for Mark Webber. Yes, Mark Webber

:23:16. > :23:23.or have a go -- Mark Webber will have a go if he sees the

:23:23. > :23:33.opportunity. He has been very fast off the past two laps. He is within

:23:33. > :23:34.

:23:34. > :23:40.that ers sown. -- within the DRS zone. Mark Webber will try to get

:23:40. > :23:44.past the Ferrari. That has cost Lewis Hamilton a bit of time. When

:23:44. > :23:48.you first leave the pits, your tyres are at their best. Mark

:23:48. > :23:52.Webber set his fastest lap after being in the pits, but Lewis

:23:52. > :23:57.Hamilton has used the best in trying to get past Felipe Massa.

:23:57. > :24:02.has got to be careful that he does not put it into over its peak of

:24:02. > :24:09.operating temperature. That is why he was being cautious. In the end,

:24:09. > :24:15.he would have used the KERS. It is a cautious overtake from the Lewis

:24:15. > :24:25.Hamilton. Normally, he would have had it down the inside. We have the

:24:25. > :24:25.

:24:25. > :24:29.appreciation of the McLaren crew! Achy retirement from the race early

:24:29. > :24:34.on, -- important retirement from the race early on, Michael

:24:34. > :24:39.Schumacher, talking to Lee McKenzie. So disappointing, the team seemed

:24:39. > :24:47.to know the wheel was not on. noticed it on the third corner,

:24:47. > :24:52.once I started to lock the front right tyre. By the sixth corner,

:24:52. > :24:58.there was smoke and damage, and I thought it was better to stop it,

:24:58. > :25:03.before I made some serious damage. Should the team have told you?

:25:03. > :25:08.probably found out before them. I do not have any hard feelings. I

:25:09. > :25:14.feel sorry for one of my boys, I guess he feels responsible. But it

:25:14. > :25:19.is part of the game. The car seemed to be looking after the tyres well.

:25:19. > :25:26.Could you have been on the podium, could Nico Rosberg when? It looks

:25:26. > :25:31.pretty positive. We are looking strong. We told you that we have

:25:31. > :25:35.been having too much where in Australia, and not enough in

:25:35. > :25:41.Malaysia, so there must have been a middle way, and we have found a way

:25:41. > :25:46.to operate the car. Jenson Button got past Pastor Maldonado, but he

:25:46. > :25:52.has also gone past Bruno Senna. This was Mark Webber passing Felipe

:25:53. > :25:57.Massa. The copy of what we saw with Lewis Hamilton. The Ferrari not

:25:57. > :26:03.working so well on the brakes. A clear sign it is lacking overall

:26:03. > :26:08.downforce. Lewis Hamilton behind Paul di Resta. Just moving to the

:26:08. > :26:15.inside. It looks as though it will be fairly straightforward. He needs

:26:15. > :26:18.to be careful, because he could lose another place to Mark Webber.

:26:18. > :26:24.Lewis Hamilton is through. Jenson Button quite quick over the past

:26:24. > :26:31.couple of laps. Into the pits, Fernando Alonso. He has gone on to

:26:31. > :26:36.the softer tyre, I think. Nico Rosberg continues to lead, 27 that

:26:36. > :26:43.have been completed. We are halfway through. Mark Webber trying to get

:26:43. > :26:47.past Paul di Resta. It is straight forward. He should be able to ease

:26:47. > :26:53.away slightly. Kimi Raikkonen in second because he has not made his

:26:53. > :26:58.second pit stop. Romain Grosjean has been competitive, Sebastian

:26:58. > :27:02.Vettel has not made his second stop yet. It will be fascinating to see

:27:02. > :27:07.Howard works out, because there are people on different strategies.

:27:07. > :27:11.Kimi Raikkonen brings the Lotus into the pits. He is a former

:27:11. > :27:20.winner of the Chinese Grand Prix. He is looking for a podium for

:27:20. > :27:29.Lotus. He is using Renault power, like Red Bull. He is on the harder

:27:29. > :27:32.tyre. He will come out behind both Ferrari drivers. It has been

:27:33. > :27:39.Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen throughout the race, and now

:27:39. > :27:45.Fernando Alonso is ahead. Lewis Hamilton trying to get past Sergio

:27:45. > :27:50.Perez it. He thought he might have a go up the inside, and he decided

:27:50. > :27:56.against it. Sergio Perez fending off Lewis Hamilton, a double winner

:27:56. > :27:59.here. In comes Romain Grosjean. That was a good stint by the

:27:59. > :28:04.Frenchman. He will have moved himself up the order as a result of

:28:04. > :28:09.that. He is showing the sort of pace that we saw in testing from

:28:09. > :28:13.him, which he has not been able to demonstrate in the first two races.

:28:13. > :28:23.It was an impressive 21 laps. It might not sound that impressive

:28:23. > :28:25.

:28:26. > :28:32.back home,... I RADIOED: We are in this to win. -- radio: We are in

:28:33. > :28:38.this to win. We are looking at target, plus three. That means they

:28:38. > :28:41.will have had a planned strategy going into the Grand Prix. He is

:28:41. > :28:46.informing Jenson Button they will be adding three laps to this next

:28:46. > :28:55.stop. Jenson Button has done two stock has already this afternoon,

:28:55. > :29:01.they can expect to see him in a game -- in again. He has got a few

:29:01. > :29:06.more laps to do. It looks as though Nico Rosberg is going all the way.

:29:06. > :29:12.One more stop. Jenson Button is going for three stops. The result

:29:12. > :29:22.and has not found a way past Sergio Perez. -- Lewis Hamilton has not

:29:22. > :29:24.

:29:24. > :29:30.found. Jenson Button is making more stops, even though it he is faster.

:29:30. > :29:34.Last year, it was exciting, the different strategies clashing, and

:29:34. > :29:44.we are in for a similar grandstand finish. How close can Lewis

:29:44. > :29:51.

:29:51. > :29:56.Webber is around the outside. That won't work, Mark! Nice try anyway!

:29:56. > :30:00.Hamilton is too sharp for that one slam that Sauber gives a breathing

:30:01. > :30:06.space for Hamilton. But it is so fast in the straight line even when

:30:06. > :30:12.you have the DRS available, you only have an off set of of five or

:30:12. > :30:16.six kilometres. Looking at the battle in the front, bef we have

:30:16. > :30:23.Button running 12 seconds behind Rosberg. Rosberg on a two stopper,

:30:23. > :30:27.we believe, Button will be on a three stopper. If Button can close

:30:27. > :30:30.that up before Rosberg has to do his second stop or through the last

:30:30. > :30:34.part of the stint, of course, when he is on the fresher set of tyres I

:30:34. > :30:41.think we're in for a grandstand finish.

:30:41. > :30:45.Here we are with Hamilton on DRS, closing on Perez. Sergio Perez gets

:30:45. > :30:49.it turned in, but he might lose the place on the exit because he was

:30:49. > :30:54.deep into the corner and he just stays in front of Hamilton.

:30:54. > :30:59.again he has locked up. Behind them Vettel... Webber.

:30:59. > :31:05.Webber. Rosberg the race leader into the pits and back out again.

:31:05. > :31:10.He is coming out ahead of the fight fight between Perez and Hamilton.

:31:10. > :31:16.So that's where Rosberg re-emerges, Hamilton can't get past that Sauber

:31:16. > :31:23.which has done 325 kilometres an hour. The Mercedes team...

:31:23. > :31:25.TEAM RADIO: Try to get two or three more lap ins front. Try to stay in

:31:25. > :31:28.front. The Mercedes team taking advantage

:31:28. > :31:32.of this battling that's going on all the time when we are having to

:31:32. > :31:36.weave and defend. You are losing lap time and that's released

:31:36. > :31:42.Rosberg into clean air. Yeah, so Rosberg still fighting for the

:31:42. > :31:46.victory, but Button going well. So Hamilton. These two are fighting

:31:46. > :31:50.for a potential podium finish. Perez well, last weekend, he was

:31:50. > :31:54.closing up on one world champion, Fernando Alonso, now he is being

:31:54. > :31:59.hounded by another, Lewis Hamilton. There is Nico Rosberg up ahead of

:31:59. > :32:04.them and tucked in behind there is Alonso as well. So this is a three-

:32:04. > :32:09.way tussle and Perez on the tyres which are not so strong, but he has

:32:09. > :32:13.great line speed. We said going into this race that

:32:13. > :32:21.Mercedes can't make the tyres last and we said going into the season

:32:21. > :32:28.that Ferrari have a dog of a car. That's right. They are battling at

:32:28. > :32:34.again. How does he make the corner? I don't understand how he can be

:32:34. > :32:38.that locked up and make the apex. Is he going to pit this lap? He

:32:38. > :32:41.goes on. You can see the pit entry is tricky for the drivers because

:32:41. > :32:46.if you are going straight into the pits and you are following another

:32:46. > :32:51.car, you have to slow down and accelerate up again, but Perez got

:32:51. > :32:55.the benefit of a straight run in. Yeah, Alonso now right with

:32:55. > :33:00.Hamilton. This is exciting stuff. The two former team-mates a few

:33:00. > :33:05.years ago, of course, which didn't always go according to plan. Alonso

:33:05. > :33:09.chasing down Hamilton. Let's take a look a the lock up. Having locked

:33:09. > :33:13.up once on the worn tyres, it is likely to happen again? Yeah. There

:33:13. > :33:19.is no ABS on these cars. You can see the wheel turning gently as the

:33:20. > :33:24.by pumping at the brake pedal, but you have to take the speed off the

:33:24. > :33:28.car so you can't release your foot from the brake entirely otherwise

:33:28. > :33:35.you will go straight on. Mark Webber Mark Webber gets wide

:33:35. > :33:39.on the exit of turn 13. Well, that will be one for the FIA

:33:39. > :33:47.to look at after the race because it launched the front of the car up

:33:47. > :33:54.into the air. You can see the McLaren team getting ready for

:33:54. > :33:56.Jenson Button. He slows the car down to the 80

:33:57. > :34:01.kilometres speed limit. He won't be leading when he comes

:34:01. > :34:04.back out. He is on the harder compound tyre. A big problem with

:34:04. > :34:08.the left rear. It is a slow start for Jenson Button. Now he gets to

:34:08. > :34:12.move. Hamilton and Alonso are fighting, but Jenson Button had a

:34:12. > :34:17.dreadful, dreadful stop and now as he gets going again, you should see

:34:17. > :34:23.him emerge from the left-hand side. Look at all the places he has lost.

:34:23. > :34:26.He lost a bunch of places and Jenson Button's chances of winning

:34:26. > :34:33.this Grand Prix have gone out of the window even if Rosberg has a

:34:33. > :34:39.problem he has all these cars ahead of him. Agony for the McLaren pit

:34:39. > :34:42.crew there. There was a problem with left rear. They didn't seem to

:34:42. > :34:47.be able to get the wheel nut seated. He goes for a new gun or a new nut

:34:47. > :34:51.and back on again. Not a shake of the head from Jenson

:34:52. > :34:59.Button. He sat there impassively. But there is the problem on the

:34:59. > :35:03.left rear. They don't want to take chances. You remember Silverstone,

:35:03. > :35:07.McLaren didn't get a wheel nut on and Jenson like Michael Schumacher

:35:07. > :35:10.went out of the pits and had to come off. They would rather have a

:35:10. > :35:16.slow stop. TEAM RADIO: Button has a slow stop.

:35:16. > :35:22.This could be close. Yeah, it was close. Jenson Button

:35:22. > :35:27.coming out behind this group which has Sebastian Vettel and Jenson

:35:27. > :35:33.Button getting past Grosjean. Jenson Button has to throw caution

:35:33. > :35:34.to the wind. He is on the fresh tyres so he has the advantage in

:35:34. > :35:42.terms of grip. Jenson Button was stationary for

:35:42. > :35:47.nine seconds during that stop. They are used to being in and out within

:35:47. > :35:54.three seconds. It would have been painful sitting there waiting for

:35:54. > :36:04.the lollipop man man telling you to How long can Massa go on these set

:36:04. > :36:07.of tyres? Raikkonen, Sebastian Vettel, guys with great CVs trying

:36:07. > :36:09.to get past him. A great drive from Felipe Massa. A

:36:09. > :36:13.different strategy to the others around him, but he is making the

:36:13. > :36:17.tyres last. It is not the quickest way to drive the lap, but it is

:36:17. > :36:23.allowing him to run currently in second place. He will have to stop

:36:23. > :36:29.again, of course, but Webber - look at the bunch of carsment Webber

:36:29. > :36:34.getting the pass on Senna. TEAM RADIO: The most important

:36:34. > :36:38.thing is you are really looking after the tyres. The next car is 19

:36:38. > :36:43.seconds behind you. Felipe Massa is racing for second

:36:43. > :36:46.place. Vettel is in third. And Jenson Button is in fourth.

:36:46. > :36:52.Vettel's tactics have worked well, but now it will be Jenson Button on

:36:52. > :36:56.a fresher set of tyres trying to get past the the Red Bull and the

:36:56. > :37:02.Lotus and then go on the chase of Nico Rosberg. But Nico Rosberg told,

:37:02. > :37:10."All you have to do is look after the tyres and we should be in good

:37:10. > :37:17.shape.". Look how close these guys are. It is like Formula Ford racing.

:37:17. > :37:22.Nose to tail. Great stuff. World champions second, third and fourth.

:37:22. > :37:30.Hamilton is up into seventh position. He is flying at the

:37:30. > :37:37.moment. Alonso trying to get past. He is on the marbles. There is is

:37:37. > :37:44.what happens when you get out into the dusty part of the track. Perez

:37:44. > :37:48.got past Alonso. He was being greedy there, trying to inTim mate

:37:48. > :37:54.mate Maldonado. Maldonado having none of it and Alonso pays the

:37:54. > :37:58.price. This queue of cars where DRS doesn't seem to be making much

:37:58. > :38:08.difference. I thought Jenson Button would be able to make that move a

:38:08. > :38:09.

:38:09. > :38:16.moment ago. This is past Senna. Hamilton has got past Maldonado and

:38:16. > :38:20.Senna. So on his way goes Hamilton. Rosberg still leads this race. This

:38:20. > :38:25.is what happened to Alonso. That's what happens when you get off the

:38:25. > :38:31.racing line. There is lots of dust and debris and it is like getting

:38:31. > :38:35.on to ice. Webber getting past Grosjean and

:38:35. > :38:40.Hamilton trying to do like wise, but Grosjean is not giving that

:38:41. > :38:44.place up. That's the same place that Alonso went wide. It is a

:38:44. > :38:50.carbon copy of what Alonso did. It looked like he managed to get the

:38:50. > :38:53.pass initially, but it drifted out That's Maldonado and those two made

:38:53. > :38:57.contact in Australia and let's hope this doesn't end badly for Romain

:38:57. > :39:01.Grosjean. He has enough over Maldonado which will sense an

:39:01. > :39:06.opportunity here. Maldonado is going to have a look at the inside

:39:06. > :39:10.of Grosjean. They hit each other. They touch here again and Maldonado

:39:10. > :39:14.trying to go around the outside of Romain Grosjean. Again, this is

:39:14. > :39:21.aggressive stuff and this time Grosjean fends him off. Great

:39:21. > :39:25.racing, but... He damaged his N- plate and you could see parts of

:39:25. > :39:30.the front N-plate. Perez is going to get one or if

:39:30. > :39:40.both of them down into the hairpin. Maldonado closes the door, but he

:39:40. > :39:40.

:39:40. > :39:48.got past Grosjean. These guys racing in GP 2, it it looks likes

:39:48. > :39:54.they are racing again. Now he is take ago quick sigh of relief as he

:39:54. > :39:58.tries to pull away and Perez is the one trying to get past Maldonado.

:39:58. > :40:02.Bravo, Romain Grosjean! That was great driving there! I held my

:40:02. > :40:06.breath to see if Alonso managed to slip up the inside of Perez. So

:40:06. > :40:12.Perez losing out. He got that familiar view that he had from the

:40:12. > :40:21.Grand Prix in Malaysia of the back of the Ferrari! But anyway, I was

:40:21. > :40:24.holding my breath when I saw Romain TEAM RADIO: You can afford to lose

:40:24. > :40:29.another half a second. That's interesting interesting!

:40:29. > :40:33.Alonso does make the move on Perez so he gets him back after Alonso's

:40:33. > :40:37.mistake. He lost a place to Perez. Now he reclaims it. It is important

:40:37. > :40:40.in terms of championship points for Alonso. That's tenth place. You get

:40:40. > :40:45.a point there. The World Championship leader coming into

:40:45. > :40:49.this race, but that lead is is going to disappear because Jenson

:40:49. > :40:56.Button and Hamilton are ahead of him. But they are not going to win

:40:56. > :41:00.this race as it stands at the moment.

:41:00. > :41:07.Red Bull have their two cars in the top five. But will that change

:41:07. > :41:14.because Webber and Hamilton are coming through? Hamilton - there is

:41:14. > :41:19.Hamilton trying to get past Webber. He slipped up the inside and he

:41:19. > :41:23.Webber is holding this. It is good stuff! Now Webber just

:41:23. > :41:28.fends him off and Hamilton couldn't quite make the move stick.

:41:29. > :41:33.Look out for him in turn six. We know that's a popular place. Vettel

:41:33. > :41:36.trying to do the cutback. He will use KERS as he comes off turn six.

:41:36. > :41:40.Will he do what Alonso failed to do which is get around the outside and

:41:40. > :41:43.get back on the racing line? He does and Raikkonen goes wide. That

:41:43. > :41:48.allows Jenson Button through. Sebastian Vettel is into second.

:41:48. > :41:52.Hamilton is getting held up. Mark Webber is going to position

:41:52. > :41:56.him. Hamilton is trying to go around the and Raikkonen can't do

:41:56. > :42:00.that. Raikkonen has lost two places. Now he might lose another one to

:42:00. > :42:05.Hamilton as well. What a race this is turning into from the podium

:42:05. > :42:12.positions, it might not be for victory, but boy, this is amazing

:42:12. > :42:17.stuff between so many cars, we have the low tusz and McLarens fighting.

:42:17. > :42:25.Senna is in seventh and we can see in the back of the group there,

:42:25. > :42:29.Bruno Senna in for a good ha ul of points, but Sebastian Vettel is in

:42:29. > :42:35.second and Hamilton down the inside and Raikkonen, esz going -- he is

:42:35. > :42:40.going to make the move stick. Hamilton claims a place. Raikkonen

:42:40. > :42:46.Could drop back.. Mark Webber gets a run at him. And Raikkonen's tyres

:42:46. > :42:52.are as they say fallen off the cliff. He is struggling for grip.

:42:52. > :42:56.We saw two black lines as he was spilling the wheels off. And how to

:42:56. > :43:04.lose several places and again, another place lost as Senna goes up

:43:04. > :43:13.the inside and what will Grosjean do? He has done it as well. He got

:43:13. > :43:15.past. In one lap look how many places Kimi Raikkonen lost. He has

:43:15. > :43:22.just worn away the gauge. He loses another position to Maldonado and

:43:22. > :43:27.next up is Alonso. Alonso passes him coming off the turn. Raikkonen

:43:27. > :43:31.goes from second to tenth. Grosjean gained a place on Senna as

:43:31. > :43:36.well. Grosjean who had a difficult start to the year is flying now for

:43:36. > :43:43.Lotus. They have a fast car. Their tyres haven't lasted for Raikkonen,

:43:43. > :43:47.but for Grosjean things are working berp. Alonso is going to try and

:43:47. > :43:52.get past the Williams. Hamilton this was on the move on Mark Webber.

:43:52. > :44:01.He got down the inside and they were side by side and Webber did

:44:01. > :44:03.not want to give that place up at him off, but then it got more racy

:44:03. > :44:08.further around as they were trying to deal with Raikkonen and that's

:44:08. > :44:11.where Webber went wide. Mark trying to pull a sneaky one on

:44:11. > :44:16.Raikkonen. He was trying to position it down the inside. Look

:44:16. > :44:21.at the debris off the racing line, the dust and the debris being

:44:21. > :44:28.thrown up. That allows Raikkonen to get back up the inside.

:44:28. > :44:34.Kobayashi get a place from his into 11th place. Your team-mate is

:44:34. > :44:38.your biggest rival and that's Kobayashi getting pass Perez. Let's

:44:38. > :44:41.not forget that Nico Rosberg leads for Mercedes and he has a 25 second

:44:41. > :44:51.advantage over Sebastian Vettel. The race is on for second between

:44:51. > :44:55.

:44:55. > :45:01.Vettel and Button as we look back Perez, to defend his position.

:45:01. > :45:10.Kamui Kobayashi was caught out. We have seen it several times, Sergio

:45:10. > :45:16.Perez locking up. This was the battle. Kimi Raikkonen will think,

:45:16. > :45:22.Edward be useful for me if they touch! In the distance, the battle

:45:22. > :45:27.for second. Sebastian Vettel's tyres have done at eight laps more

:45:27. > :45:32.than Jenson Button's. For the moment, he can fend him off, but it

:45:32. > :45:40.might become more difficult. Jenson Button is down the inside! He takes

:45:40. > :45:50.second place! He is into second place, ahead of Sebastian Vettel.

:45:50. > :45:56.Lewis Hamilton is still catching up. It was a very late past. He was

:45:56. > :46:01.absolutely assured on the brakes, he was committed, Sebastian Vettel

:46:01. > :46:07.tried to come back. Look at how far back he was. He starts to faint as

:46:07. > :46:14.if to say, I am thinking about it. Sebastian Vettel Hall's the racing

:46:14. > :46:20.line. A subtle approach for overtaking, it has worked

:46:20. > :46:29.beautifully. Fernando Alonso has been behind Pastor Maldonado for

:46:29. > :46:32.several bats. Both Williams drivers are in the top 10. Sir Frank

:46:32. > :46:40.Williams would celebrate his 70th birthday tomorrow if both cars

:46:40. > :46:46.remain in the points. That is where Pastor Maldonado got past him.

:46:46. > :46:56.had not realised they were that close! It is Formula Ford style

:46:56. > :46:57.

:46:57. > :47:03.driving. It is great stuff. It was a slow-burn, and it is almost a

:47:03. > :47:11.collision with Kamui Kobayashi. well bore tyres holed up for

:47:11. > :47:17.Sebastian Vettel? The two young stars, there was Hamilton goes

:47:17. > :47:24.inside, and he is into third position. Mark Webber trying to

:47:24. > :47:29.getting. Surely Sebastian Vettel cannot do anything. For the second

:47:29. > :47:35.year in succession, Sebastian Vettel is overtaken by Lewis

:47:35. > :47:42.Hamilton. Lewis Hamilton has got to be careful with weaving. He was

:47:42. > :47:52.pulled up in Malaysia a couple of years ago. No team orders for Red

:47:52. > :48:07.

:48:07. > :48:13.Grand Prix yet this year, but he is sixth. It is not all over yet,

:48:13. > :48:23.because Mark Webber wants to get past his team-mate. He has slightly

:48:23. > :48:31.newer tyres. There is not a huge margin. Classic DRS. He gets in the

:48:31. > :48:35.slipstream, he opens up. A bit of defending it into the 14th corner.

:48:35. > :48:45.What Sebastian Vettel does, he gets the undercut, he releases the

:48:45. > :48:51.leftover KERS, and he gets the extra acceleration. Just to clarify,

:48:51. > :49:00.you can make one change of direction to defend a position.

:49:00. > :49:08.Mark Webber against Sebastian Vettel. Sebastian Vettel defending.

:49:08. > :49:14.He has got the inside line! Mark Webber has done it! He could be on

:49:14. > :49:20.for a third fourth place. He has taken fourth place from Sebastian

:49:20. > :49:25.Vettel. I suspect that was a sweet feeling, he got taught how to drive

:49:25. > :49:30.last year, but so far, this season, he has looked the stronger of the

:49:30. > :49:37.Red Bull drivers. They have slightly different specifications,

:49:37. > :49:42.that will cause a lot of thinking back in Milton Keynes. What Mark

:49:42. > :49:47.Webber has got is working. This man has led the race from the beginning

:49:47. > :49:53.and, apart from the odd change on the pit stops, he has dominated the

:49:53. > :50:02.race, Nico Rosberg. He looks set for his first ever Formula One

:50:02. > :50:09.victory. His 111th Grand Prix, and Nico Rosberg, former team-mates

:50:09. > :50:16.with Lewis Hamilton in karting, the former GP2 champion, he is coming

:50:16. > :50:24.into the last few corners. His father was double champion in 1982,

:50:24. > :50:29.he took his first win in Switzerland in 1982. Nico Rosberg

:50:29. > :50:35.wins the Chinese Grand Prix, his first ever victory, the first win

:50:35. > :50:40.for Mercedes since 1955. He has dominated the event in China. Nico

:50:40. > :50:47.Rosberg can start to celebrate. Jenson Button will bring his

:50:47. > :50:52.McLaren home in second position. Behind him, Lewis Hamilton.

:50:52. > :51:02.Mercedes engines finish first, second and third. Mark Webber is

:51:02. > :51:09.

:51:09. > :51:19.fourth. He has had a couple already points. Kamui Kobayashi wins the

:51:19. > :51:25.

:51:25. > :51:35.final point. RADIO: It was a great effort. Enjoy! Yes! Come on!

:51:35. > :51:35.

:51:35. > :51:40.brilliant job! Fantastic! Well done. Thank you, everyone. Amazing.

:51:40. > :51:47.first Mercedes witchery in the modern era. The first since the

:51:47. > :51:51.Italian Grand Prix in 1955. That was a pole position and a victory.

:51:51. > :51:58.It might have been first and second if Michael Schumacher had not had

:51:58. > :52:05.the pit stop problem, but they will settle for the victory. Nico

:52:06. > :52:14.Rosberg, celebrating this very special moment. It is time for the

:52:14. > :52:19.Champagne shower. Nico Rosberg, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton

:52:19. > :52:29.celebrate. Been the Chinese Year of the Dragon, Shanghai has been

:52:29. > :52:38.conquered by Nico Rosberg. What a frenetic race!

:52:38. > :52:43.Congratulations, Nico Rosberg. He kept himself at the front. Jenson

:52:43. > :52:46.Button, Lewis Hamilton and Mark Webber overtaking Sebastian Vettel.

:52:46. > :52:56.The Williams drivers were impressive. Kamui Kobayashi

:52:56. > :53:25.

:53:25. > :53:29.what are they did for them. Let's hear from the main men at the

:53:29. > :53:35.centre of the action. Congratulations, you are a Formula

:53:35. > :53:41.One race winner! It feels amazing! Hello to everybody at the team,

:53:41. > :53:46.thank you for your efforts. It is very special, it is great to share

:53:46. > :53:49.this with everybody. The whole weekend went well, great qualifying,

:53:49. > :53:55.Crich strategy, a great race, the weather helped, it all came

:53:55. > :54:00.together. It is good to see how quickly we are progressing. We have

:54:00. > :54:06.already been strong in qualifying. Now we are strong in the race.

:54:06. > :54:14.really enjoyed it. Lots of fun, overtaking. Not just in the DRS our

:54:14. > :54:18.own. To come away from here with a second place is good. If the last

:54:18. > :54:23.pit stop was as good as the others, we could have been in clear air,

:54:23. > :54:28.and perhaps chased down Nico Rosberg, but it was not to be. I

:54:28. > :54:33.had a good battle with Sebastian Vettel and Romain Grosjean, but you

:54:33. > :54:38.always want more. As a team effort, we have done very well, we have got

:54:38. > :54:43.some good points on the border. We have a healthy lead in the

:54:43. > :54:51.constructors. My team-mate is only two points ahead of me in the

:54:51. > :54:56.championship. I had to next weekend very happy. -- I head. With just a

:54:56. > :55:01.few laps to go, you were fighting in fifth position, and seconds

:55:01. > :55:07.later, you are on the podium. feels great. I had a great race, I

:55:07. > :55:13.am happy for Nico Rosberg to get his first victory. I am happy that

:55:13. > :55:18.we can get back onto the podium and score some good points. If we had

:55:18. > :55:23.started where we were supposed to, it would have been better, but we

:55:23. > :55:28.still managed to gain some time. did not do much overtaking, it was

:55:28. > :55:33.close at one point. We got the Top Gear a bit wrong, we expected a bit

:55:33. > :55:39.more wind. We compromised a bit in qualifying, but we were not quick

:55:39. > :55:47.enough to make up the ground. We were in the hunt, but there was not

:55:47. > :55:51.enough crashing up front to take advantage. We were very close, but

:55:51. > :55:57.when you are not getting in the points, it is not good enough.

:55:57. > :56:06.We needed to decamp, because that was frenetic, incredible! Yes, it

:56:06. > :56:12.started slow, everybody was trying to manage the tyres, but then, as

:56:12. > :56:18.we got into the final round, amazing, the Mercedes car that we

:56:18. > :56:22.thought had problems, it won the Grand Prix with two stops. Frantic

:56:22. > :56:27.activity to fight over the last podium positions. Kimi Raikkonen

:56:27. > :56:32.falling off the edge of the cliff in terms of his tyre where, going

:56:32. > :56:39.from second to 14th. It shows how unpredictable kisses. Last season,

:56:39. > :56:45.we had a German driver up front, keeping out of trouble, that is

:56:45. > :56:48.what Nico Rosberg did today. Yes, he won by more than 20 seconds. I

:56:48. > :56:52.do not recall Sebastian Vettel winning by more than 20 seconds in

:56:52. > :56:58.any of the races last year. The margin of victory was very close,

:56:58. > :57:03.but he was able to dominate qualifying, kept a clean start, and

:57:03. > :57:11.came track position. It was a masterful drive. He is not a rookie,

:57:11. > :57:16.Nico Rosberg, he has done 110 races. 111 now! McLaren, both drivers on

:57:16. > :57:20.the podium, a nice bottle towards the end. Everybody going past

:57:20. > :57:24.Sebastian Vettel. You have got to take the good with the bat

:57:24. > :57:29.sometimes. He had a fantastic run over the past couple of seasons,

:57:29. > :57:34.there is a long way to go in this world championship, he is in the

:57:34. > :57:38.hunt, battling with McLaren. The conditions suited Mercedes, but the

:57:38. > :57:43.conditions will be different next weekend. The pecking order could be

:57:43. > :57:48.completely on its head in a hot country. The track temperature here

:57:48. > :57:55.was 25 degrees, we could be up to 50 degrees. That is a significant

:57:55. > :58:05.difference. Would you like to predict what will happen? McLaren

:58:05. > :58:17.

:58:17. > :58:22.It was 57 years until they won again. Congratulations to Nico

:58:22. > :58:30.Rosberg. Goodbye. Nico Rosberg is going to have his

:58:30. > :58:34.first ever pole position! That was a perfect start! Different drivers,

:58:34. > :58:39.different cars, that is what is making it so exciting. It is a

:58:39. > :58:49.tricky place to try to overtake! Something has gone wrong again for

:58:49. > :58:51.

:58:51. > :58:59.Michael Schumacher. Nico Rosberg commanding things. This is really

:58:59. > :59:04.costing Lewis Hamilton now. What a race! He is down the inside! It is
