:00:22. > :01:41.Purge your seat belt on, Eddie! -- put. This is the definition of all

:01:42. > :01:48.kinds of crazy. Makes the start of a Grand Prix look like child's play.

:01:49. > :01:56.Oh, we're getting off here. Stop. Get down, grandad. I thought it was

:01:57. > :02:05.cows that were sacred here. Coming through. Oh, I don't know where to

:02:06. > :02:10.go. The best thing that has happened to me all day. What I find amazing

:02:11. > :02:22.is the colour. Look how beautiful this is. A present for you. Sweet

:02:23. > :02:27.love? I needed to come to India to appreciate how much I view. I have

:02:28. > :02:37.got to tell you, Eddie, you are really getting on my goat.

:02:38. > :02:48.This is a rare oasis of calm in Delhi, isn't it? It's so quiet

:02:49. > :02:52.compared to where we have been. Let's have become the face and

:02:53. > :02:57.everybody is getting excited about. Top five and Sebastien Vettel has

:02:58. > :03:02.got it, hasn't it? Yes. He has done everything right. He has won nine

:03:03. > :03:11.Grand Prix so early in the season. He deserves to win the championship,

:03:12. > :03:19.making a mistake. Strategy, David? His tyres will lend itself to two

:03:20. > :03:25.stop the least. -- stops at least. I have a feeling like in Brazil, when

:03:26. > :03:33.you expect something to be cut and dry, it doesn't always work out that

:03:34. > :03:42.way. Really? Wow. And there is me thinking this is a place to crown a

:03:43. > :03:44.champion. Hello and welcome to the Buddh International Circuit in Delhi

:03:45. > :03:49.for the Indian Grand Prix. This is the first realistic chance

:03:50. > :03:55.that the triple world champion will have two clinches fourth consecutive

:03:56. > :03:59.title. Here is the deal. With a top five finish, Sebastien can guarantee

:04:00. > :04:03.the title. For the title to continue in Abu Dhabi, Alonso would have to

:04:04. > :04:09.win all the second with Vettel below fifth or eighth. If Fernando crashes

:04:10. > :04:13.out, it is all over. Red Bull can wrap up the constructors title here

:04:14. > :04:18.as well. They are currently 148 points ahead of Ferrari. After this

:04:19. > :04:26.race, they would only need a gap of 129 points to declare victory. So,

:04:27. > :04:32.Sebastien Vettel is sitting pretty. He is in a great position. It should

:04:33. > :04:36.happen here, but you never know. Look back to what happened in Brazil

:04:37. > :04:39.last year. He spun on the opening lap and everybody thought his

:04:40. > :04:44.championship was over. He is not going to lose this one. Yes, it's

:04:45. > :04:49.going to be exciting but I think he looks so calm and collected, I think

:04:50. > :04:55.it will happen here. He has got an impeccable record here in India. It

:04:56. > :05:00.is a great backdrop. His stamp of authority is on this track. He has

:05:01. > :05:07.led every race out of here. He has won the previous two races. Who

:05:08. > :05:11.knows what is going to happen. We will have all of the race action in

:05:12. > :05:18.a moment, but first, here is the intriguing story of qualifying.

:05:19. > :05:22.After two podiums in two races, Grosjean should have been

:05:23. > :05:28.challenging for the front row. But he was sent out on the harder tyre

:05:29. > :05:32.and was eliminated in Q1. He starts in 17th. Alonso is the only

:05:33. > :05:36.challenger who can stop Vettel winning the title. He compromises

:05:37. > :05:40.qualifying for a better strategy and starts on the harder tyre from

:05:41. > :05:45.eighth. Mark Webber was the highest placed driver on the harder tyre. An

:05:46. > :05:52.impressive lap putting in fourth. He should have been in front of the Red

:05:53. > :05:56.Bull. I other teams the Mercedes-Benz -- the Mercedes didn't

:05:57. > :06:00.split strategy. Rosberg picked his team-mate to take second. That left

:06:01. > :06:04.with Vettel, who took his third pole position in as many years in India.

:06:05. > :06:09.It gives in the best position to win the race and his fourth consecutive

:06:10. > :06:19.title. We look strong in terms of pace. It could be a different race.

:06:20. > :06:23.In the end, yeah, if you manage to make the strategy work, you have got

:06:24. > :06:32.60 laps to do that. I think we are in a good position. So, Vettel gets

:06:33. > :06:38.his seventh pole position of the season. Mercedes are behind, and

:06:39. > :06:46.then Mark Webber. Massa, Raikkonen and Hulkenberg start on the softer

:06:47. > :06:51.tyre. Ricciardo is 11th. Bottas is the height placed Williams driver.

:06:52. > :07:00.Grosjean in 17th with Maldonado alongside. Max Chilton rounds out

:07:01. > :07:05.the grid. BEN EDWARDS: Welcome to what is likely to be leading the

:07:06. > :07:12.month of the title race. -- the revealing moment of the title race.

:07:13. > :07:18.Vettel has dominated the last two races in India.

:07:19. > :07:26.The beauty of today's race is, you could argue he is starting the race

:07:27. > :07:31.on the wrong tyre. He has chosen the soft tyre and this track is tough

:07:32. > :07:37.but tyres, particularly at the long turns at ten and 11. The rear tyres

:07:38. > :07:42.all take a pounding accelerating out of the tight corners. The DRM zones

:07:43. > :07:51.are going to be critical. One is on the fast rate. -- DRS zones. David,

:07:52. > :07:54.we have two races in one today and it is possible we will only see the

:07:55. > :07:59.outcome in the final laps. DAVID COULTHARD: The final laps could be

:08:00. > :08:03.very interesting. But there are 50 laps before that. We have one of the

:08:04. > :08:07.most interesting start to a Grand Prix. Last year, they were battling

:08:08. > :08:15.all the week down to turn five to sort out the positions. How much of

:08:16. > :08:18.your KERS are you going to use into the first corner? I would suggest

:08:19. > :08:24.not much. Don't really want to use in the run to number three. But you

:08:25. > :08:28.need to have it between three and four, and between four and five.

:08:29. > :08:35.Sebastien Vettel is looking for ten wins this season. If he can manage

:08:36. > :08:40.to do it here, he has had five victories in a row, so can he make

:08:41. > :08:45.it six? The sequence has been done before, but not often. Sebastien

:08:46. > :08:49.Vettel leads the grid away from pole position knowing that a top five

:08:50. > :08:54.finish will bring him his fourth world championship. Surely his focus

:08:55. > :08:59.now is on winning the Indian Grand Prix for the third year in a row.

:09:00. > :09:05.That is what he has got to aim at. He leads the championship by 90

:09:06. > :09:10.points over Fernando Alonso. If Alonso were to crash on the first

:09:11. > :09:16.lap, the championship is all over. Gary, you love these kind of races

:09:17. > :09:20.because of the strategy between the two. What would you be going for

:09:21. > :09:26.right now? I am happy that Mark Webber has gone for the harder tyre.

:09:27. > :09:34.You have to have a lot of luck for Sebastien Vettel's strategy to work

:09:35. > :09:40.out. How easy is it for his overtake around this circuit? On the

:09:41. > :09:49.straight, deep DRS works. But the corners, a slow corner, you could

:09:50. > :09:56.pay the price. You could lose 1.5 seconds. That is too much. You think

:09:57. > :10:01.Mark Webber can do this? I think so, yes. It will be the chequered flag

:10:02. > :10:07.who tells us who wins it. Tom Clarkson is in the pits. What late

:10:08. > :10:14.news had got for us? The mechanics are keeping their helmets on. All of

:10:15. > :10:19.the guys on the stop tyre going to stop early. As early as lap two is

:10:20. > :10:24.what we are hearing. However, it is going to be interesting to see what

:10:25. > :10:29.Romain Grosjean does. He is starting on the soft tyre. The last time we

:10:30. > :10:34.were at a front limited track like this, he managed to do about 13 laps

:10:35. > :10:42.on the option tyre, which was soft. See how far he can go. We will keep

:10:43. > :10:46.an eye on that. Sebastien Vettel is very accustomed to leading the way

:10:47. > :10:55.and setting the pace on the formation. He has led -- lead 14 out

:10:56. > :11:01.of 15 Grand Prix this year. A brilliant record so far here in

:11:02. > :11:06.India, having led every lap. Doesn't look as though that is going to be

:11:07. > :11:11.likely. Rosberg is alongside him on the grid there. He has allowed a

:11:12. > :11:21.certain amount of wheel spin super tinted tyre. Moving up into

:11:22. > :11:26.position, Nico Rosberg, back on the front row, as he was in Singapore a

:11:27. > :11:32.few races ago. Let's see whether he can do anything from the front row

:11:33. > :11:37.position. It is his sixth of the season. You can see the line on the

:11:38. > :11:43.right. It shows where to business in the car. The brains behind the Red

:11:44. > :11:48.Bull is watching closely. They are ready for the start of the race,

:11:49. > :11:54.which seems to be a race between the two Red Bulls. Let's keep an eye on

:11:55. > :11:58.the battle between Ferrari and Mercedes for second in the

:11:59. > :12:02.constructors points. And watch for Grosjean, coming all the way from

:12:03. > :12:08.17th. Can he do something special from the back? Raikkonen starting

:12:09. > :12:14.sixth. Alonso is in eighth. Here we go, then. Lights out, and away we

:12:15. > :12:18.go! A good start from Lewis Hamilton again, but not enough to get in

:12:19. > :12:24.front of Sebastien Vettel. He leads into the first corner. Webber has

:12:25. > :12:31.not got a good start! Contact with Ferrari. We need to check that.

:12:32. > :12:35.There were some front wing damage on the car. Weather is losing more

:12:36. > :12:43.ground here. This is not a good start. Mark Webber has not had the

:12:44. > :12:48.start he wanted. Sebastien Vettel upfront. Look at Alonso down the

:12:49. > :12:59.inside. Amazing. That was Massa, sorry. Massa is into second place.

:13:00. > :13:04.The front wing took a hit off the back of Mark Webber. We saw a part

:13:05. > :13:12.flying off the car. There has been further contact with McLaren.

:13:13. > :13:21.Raikkonen hit Webber. I think he was saying he got hit by Webber! There

:13:22. > :13:25.has been contact between them. Massa is up into second position as he

:13:26. > :13:40.chases after Sebastien Vettel. This is the start that Alonzo wanted. --

:13:41. > :13:45.Alonso. The reports from the team, they are hoping the car isn't too

:13:46. > :13:50.badly damaged. Vettel is doing his usual trick in lap one. He has

:13:51. > :13:55.opened an advantage over Felipe Massa and second. Hamilton is in

:13:56. > :13:59.fourth. Behind them you have got Hulkenberg, Raikkonen and then

:14:00. > :14:05.Webber. Webber is down to seventh place. He is still ahead of anybody

:14:06. > :14:09.else on the harder tyre. You saw Grosjean down towards the back end

:14:10. > :14:15.there. Hasn't made much progress yet. He is in 16th. In already are

:14:16. > :14:20.di Resta and Jean-Eric Vergne. Presumably, they want to get off the

:14:21. > :14:24.soft tyre as quickly as possible. That gets them into clear air. They

:14:25. > :14:36.can run their strategy. By the time they catch up to the backfield... We

:14:37. > :14:42.can see Button here. Van der Garde complaining about Max Chilton. He

:14:43. > :14:48.has got damage on his car. It was pretty close to the back of more

:14:49. > :14:56.than I know Andy Williams. Jenson Button is way down. He is done in

:14:57. > :15:08.13th at the moment. Really bad news for Jenson Button. Vettel is in. It

:15:09. > :15:14.is the tyres already. They are going to bring him in. He almost makes a

:15:15. > :15:18.mistake coming in. Carried a huge amount of speed coming into the pit

:15:19. > :15:21.lane there. This we were not expecting. Surprising that he has

:15:22. > :15:39.gone so early. He has blitzed past you, Tom. Let's

:15:40. > :15:44.not forget the fact that Red Bull similar to this yesterday morning.

:15:45. > :15:50.They went out, did a qualifying simulation, put the car back up to

:15:51. > :15:59.full tanks, and the tyres were off after a couple of laps. It is not

:16:00. > :16:03.surprising to see it now. Felipe Massa will now be leading this Grand

:16:04. > :16:09.Prix in the other Ferrari. The pit stop, 8.7 seconds with a front nose

:16:10. > :16:13.cone shaped but it will be a tough afternoon's workforce Fernando

:16:14. > :16:18.Alonso and he does not change, it is all the championship of Sebastien

:16:19. > :16:22.Vettel. A bit of anger or frustration at having to change the

:16:23. > :16:28.nose or whether it is a consequence of the tyres being out of the

:16:29. > :16:37.blanket for those extra six seconds or so years running second last at

:16:38. > :16:41.the moment, Charles Pic is last on the road. Sebastien Vettel now has

:16:42. > :16:45.to try to cut his way through the traffic. The story of this race will

:16:46. > :16:50.be how quickly can Vettel cut his way through the traffic and Webber

:16:51. > :16:55.has managed to stay in front of everybody else on the harder

:16:56. > :16:58.compound tyre but Webber is currently in sixth place chasing

:16:59. > :17:12.Kimi Raikkonen. Nico Rosberg being urged to go past

:17:13. > :17:20.Felipe Massa, how far are Mercedes, Ferrari with Webber two Massa going

:17:21. > :17:29.to go on the softer tyre? It looked like Hamilton launched well. In the

:17:30. > :17:35.end, I think a squirt of curves there to is secure position and then

:17:36. > :17:42.just watch in the middle, a squirt of KERS. He's grapes the rear of

:17:43. > :17:47.Webber and not a good start for the Ferrari man this afternoon. All

:17:48. > :17:55.clean as he ran down on the brakes, and I think Webber was bounced

:17:56. > :17:59.across. That is a normal acceleration phase there. And then

:18:00. > :18:05.Alonso making contact with Button and then a change between the two

:18:06. > :18:09.Mercedes. Rosberg got in front of the straight I think. The initial

:18:10. > :18:15.getaway for Mark was not too bad. Whether he decided not to use much

:18:16. > :18:19.of is aero horsepower, and use the contact with Raikkonen, looked like

:18:20. > :18:24.a racing incident to me and then then a big Alonso was cupping his

:18:25. > :18:31.tyre. We know how fragile these Pirelli is out to a bit of side

:18:32. > :18:35.contact. Hamilton got wheel spin at the last part of the getaway, enough

:18:36. > :18:40.to have him run and less space for his team-mate Justin Casey came back

:18:41. > :18:46.as he went into Turn 1. And many think he makes a mistake here, watch

:18:47. > :18:49.this. Certainly Vettel does and he reacts to it, a massive amount of

:18:50. > :18:56.oversteer and that was why Vettel was in with that huge run their and

:18:57. > :19:02.the long straight. We will see Rosberg coming through now with the

:19:03. > :19:09.slipstream. We can see what it was like from Alonso's but of the

:19:10. > :19:19.Whidbey contact with Webber. -- with the contact with Webber. Fernando

:19:20. > :19:24.Alonso very unlucky there, Mark Webber very lucky that it has not

:19:25. > :19:29.punctured his rear tyre. Reichel Schumacher picked up a punch on the

:19:30. > :19:33.opening lap last year. Jenson Button with further contact there so a

:19:34. > :19:41.pretty difficult first lap. We will see that again here. Ditty openly

:19:42. > :19:45.steering to make way for the Toro Rosso? It look like it was under

:19:46. > :19:49.control as he committed to the apex and then he turned wide and then

:19:50. > :20:00.Jenson Button is committed to the turning.

:20:01. > :20:10.Saying the steering is heavy on the right-hand corners. Power steering

:20:11. > :20:17.on these Formula One cars is shamed to perfection. Holcombe Berg in the

:20:18. > :20:32.pit in the Sauber. He has done six laps on the soft I -- Holcombe Berg

:20:33. > :20:43.-- Nico Hulkenberg. Sebastien Vettel down in 15th already, lapping faster

:20:44. > :20:47.than Massa. Kimi Raikkonen still on the softer tyre, we will be adjusted

:20:48. > :20:52.to see what sort of lap times he can achieve. Felipe Massa is making his

:20:53. > :21:02.pit stop and will come out behind Vettel. Meanwhile, Romain

:21:03. > :21:09.Grosjean... RADIO: for the moment we see the car OK, so let's see what we

:21:10. > :21:14.can do. There is the news to Alonso. You do start on a set of softer

:21:15. > :21:23.tyres, did Romain Grosjean. All going well for him at this stage,

:21:24. > :21:28.behind Adrian Sue Gill. -- Adrian Sutil.

:21:29. > :21:34.A lock-up from Webber, he does not need to do that on tyres that must

:21:35. > :21:40.go a long distance, that is not what Mark Webber wants to do. You end up

:21:41. > :21:44.getting more of the flat spot and then when you break a bit late for

:21:45. > :21:51.the corner next time, you will find the same localised flat spot. Jenson

:21:52. > :21:55.Button heading in for his stop. Be happy but the touch with Fernando

:21:56. > :21:59.Alonso. He has gone for the tyre. This is the strategy which has gone

:22:00. > :22:03.a bit out of the window for Jenson Button, you should have been going a

:22:04. > :22:10.long way on the medium, I wonder if there was a puncture because he has

:22:11. > :22:17.gone to the softer tyre. Raikkonen now being passed by Perez? Not

:22:18. > :22:20.quite. Sergio Perez on the harder tyre which is now working better

:22:21. > :22:30.than the soft tyre on Raikkonen's car. One of the peculiarities of

:22:31. > :22:33.this lap. Into Turn 4, five or six times the width of a normal

:22:34. > :22:39.racetrack and it was designed that way to try to create more

:22:40. > :22:40.overtaking. And if you don't completed there, it allows you to

:22:41. > :22:44.get a better draw off Turn 4. Raikkonen looks like he is

:22:45. > :22:53.struggling through the long-term ten, 11, 12 sequence. He dropped

:22:54. > :23:08.back quite a lot compared to the McLaren. Max

:23:09. > :23:08.back quite a lot compared to the Massa continues to lead on the soft

:23:09. > :23:20.tyres. 1.33, as is Hamilton but it Massa continues to lead on the soft

:23:21. > :23:26.the race. It could be to his advantage later on and incomes Kimi

:23:27. > :23:30.Raikkonen and we saw him dropping back a bit on that last lap, being

:23:31. > :23:34.passed by Perez and they have changed him onto the harder tyre.

:23:35. > :23:42.You can see that the tyres have given up their ghost. He has got

:23:43. > :23:47.those medium tyres. A slow stop there that will not have helped

:23:48. > :23:53.them. He is in 16th position us comes back out onto the circuit and

:23:54. > :23:59.behind him, he has got Vergne having a battle with Jenson Button and

:24:00. > :24:04.button now chasing after Kimi Raikkonen. Jenson Button on this

:24:05. > :24:09.different strategy for what ever problem he had in the opening stint.

:24:10. > :24:16.Vettel is still 18 seconds behind the race leader... But in trying to

:24:17. > :24:19.attack Raikkonen and they are side-by-side, good racing between

:24:20. > :24:27.these two and Raikkonen distaste in front and trying to take of that is

:24:28. > :24:30.Vergne coming round the outside. It is getting frantic down there, the

:24:31. > :24:33.race leaders being told to come into the pits this lap but Jenson Button

:24:34. > :24:51.and Vergne going wheel-to-wheel. Felipe Massa onto the prime. As

:24:52. > :24:57.Massa joins, where will he be compared to Vettel? A couple of

:24:58. > :25:04.seconds behind based on our calculations. Keep an eye on

:25:05. > :25:11.Hamilton relative to his team-mate. Hamilton now behind Nico Rosberg. No

:25:12. > :25:15.change amongst the group meanwhile this is bringing Vettel back up the

:25:16. > :25:18.order after his early pit stop. Vettel has got himself into sixth

:25:19. > :25:34.place. Felipe Massa having made that pit stop now trying to get passed

:25:35. > :25:42.Williams. You can see how wide that corner is and how it narrows up at

:25:43. > :25:46.the apex. Felipe Massa just using a bit of DRS there. Nico Rosberg is

:25:47. > :25:50.not far away from Felipe Massa said that group will be together again,

:25:51. > :25:53.Hamilton not far behind as well so Mark Webber now leads this Grand

:25:54. > :26:03.Prix on the harder compound tyre and he is lapping quickly, fastest lap

:26:04. > :26:06.last time around, 1.32.3. He has got clear space in front of him, nothing

:26:07. > :26:13.ahead of Mark Webber at the moment and he must make the most of that.

:26:14. > :26:18.Perez has come up on the harder tyre and Daniel Riccardo is now in third,

:26:19. > :26:26.another person who started just outside on the thermal compound

:26:27. > :26:31.tyre. Mark Webber is the fastest man on the racetrack, but look at what

:26:32. > :26:37.Vettel was able to do in that lap, Mark must open up a gap and needs to

:26:38. > :26:42.find seven seconds to make sure that he has got a pit stop in hand over

:26:43. > :26:45.Sebastien Vettel. Vettel now getting amongst some of the quicker cars

:26:46. > :26:50.that will be more difficult to overtake and the Force Indias are

:26:51. > :26:54.quick in a straight line. This will not necessarily be easier for

:26:55. > :26:55.Sebastien Vettel, this is where it gets more difficult and where he

:26:56. > :27:05.must try to cut through. He makes it look pretty easy

:27:06. > :27:11.although I say that. He moves into fifth position already. A gentle

:27:12. > :27:14.reminder to take it easy on the tyres, do not spend too much time on

:27:15. > :27:23.the slipstream of the car in front. If you can't find an easy way past,

:27:24. > :27:29.a textbook slipstreaming pass from Alonso. He gets great drive as it

:27:30. > :27:33.takes the wide line in four and starts to level out in terms of the

:27:34. > :27:40.acceleration and probably still on the outside, Harare power against

:27:41. > :27:46.Ferrari power. And this is what Vettel is engineer was talking about

:27:47. > :27:51.you do not want much time in dirty air, you lose downforce then.

:27:52. > :27:55.Corners is what puts heat into the tyres. The front left doubles up the

:27:56. > :28:05.surface and you get these internal blisters. Fernando Alonso is in 17th

:28:06. > :28:08.position, his team-mate is in eighth place but it is Sebastien Vettel

:28:09. > :28:13.moving up through the field as Mark Webber leads the Grand Prix, another

:28:14. > :28:20.quick lap from Mark Webber, a 4.9 second lead over Sergio Perez.

:28:21. > :28:25.Fernando Alonso into the first two DRS zones. We have not seen many

:28:26. > :28:31.passes done into Turn 1 and we don't see it on this occasion. Dips down

:28:32. > :28:36.on the exit of Turn 1 as Vettel now gets another place, he has got past

:28:37. > :28:39.Romain Grosjean. Romain Grosjean is still going on the softer tyres so

:28:40. > :28:44.he's definitely going deeper into this race. We wondered if he would

:28:45. > :28:45.do that. He will not fight the situation, he has allowed Vettel

:28:46. > :29:04.through. We must look out for Pirelli giving

:29:05. > :29:08.advice saying that they will not guarantee the safety of the tyres

:29:09. > :29:13.beyond 15 laps for Romain Grosjean and we will expect to see him in the

:29:14. > :29:17.next three or four laps. Unless they push it slightly outside that

:29:18. > :29:18.window. A quick lap from Mark Webber again. Let's take a look on board

:29:19. > :29:31.with Sebastien Vettel. Romain Grosjean was the slowest of

:29:32. > :29:38.all the speed in qualifying, no DRS available to him.

:29:39. > :29:48.It was an easy pass. That run, the 1.2 kilometre straight down to Turn

:29:49. > :29:51.4 seems to be a much more effective overtaking spot than it was last

:29:52. > :29:57.year and I think the reason is that the DRS zones is 80 metres longer

:29:58. > :30:02.than it was last year and look at the progress Sebastien Vettel has

:30:03. > :30:07.been making. He is making great progress. Beginning to catch Daniel

:30:08. > :30:16.Riccardo now and that was the fastest lap of Sebastien Vettel,

:30:17. > :30:20.131.3. A bit of action in the pit but we will check that any moment.

:30:21. > :30:26.Vettel still going very quickly at the moment and Webber still leads

:30:27. > :30:29.the Grand Prix, he has opened up a gap to 6.1 seconds. Both Red Bull

:30:30. > :30:36.drivers are now both on the limit. They don't have to protect this time

:30:37. > :30:42.to look after the softer tyre. Very low degradation on this tyre, Mark

:30:43. > :30:46.Webber... Sebastien Vettel pitted at the end of the second lap and is on

:30:47. > :30:50.a brand-new set of those medium tyres which gives him an advantage.

:30:51. > :30:56.He will lose out a little bit with the traffic but he is keeping that

:30:57. > :30:59.gap crucially and Mark Webber will have to stop for him so we are

:31:00. > :31:14.seeing a straight fight here. Gutierrez is currently in seventh.

:31:15. > :31:19.He has not come into the pits yet. He did start on the medium compound

:31:20. > :31:24.tyres. He is able to go deeper into the race before having to make his

:31:25. > :31:29.pit stop. If he is found guilty of a jump start, there will be a

:31:30. > :31:33.penalty. Now, Vettel. His team in for next year is Ricciardo. He is

:31:34. > :31:38.doing to make it look easy once again, I think. Straight down the

:31:39. > :31:45.inside, past the Toro Rosso of Ricciardo. The next target will be

:31:46. > :31:52.Sergio Perez. There is more of a gap to catch him. Into the pits has come

:31:53. > :31:59.Jenson Button now. Again, another early stop. He was on a soft tyre.

:32:00. > :32:03.Now he is going to have to do another stop, I would think, late in

:32:04. > :32:13.the race. On board with Felipe Massa. He is currently in eighth

:32:14. > :32:22.place. In the drivers points, if they finish where they do now,

:32:23. > :32:27.Sebastien Vettel would win. There is a long way to go in this Grand Prix.

:32:28. > :32:36.Alonso's next target will be Paul di Resta. Making adjustments. That

:32:37. > :32:42.could be deferential, could be anything. I don't know what that

:32:43. > :32:54.dial is for. It is for the driver to make the decision based on how the

:32:55. > :32:58.car fields. Grosjean is in. He has done 14 laps before switching on to

:32:59. > :33:02.the harder compound tyre. Again, it is going to be difficult to see

:33:03. > :33:06.where he ends up in this Grand Prix. He is running such a different

:33:07. > :33:12.strategy to the others. The Lotus is good at looking after its tyres. He

:33:13. > :33:16.comes out behind Alonso. That brings them out in 15th position. Romain

:33:17. > :33:20.Grosjean, that is going to be interesting. They are both quick

:33:21. > :33:26.paced. They are a long way down the field. Looking at the middle, we

:33:27. > :33:37.have got Hamilton behind Bottas. Lewis is struggling to find a way

:33:38. > :33:42.past that Williams. Interesting. Hamilton is in 11th place at the

:33:43. > :33:49.moment. A few seconds behind his team-mate, Rosberg. There are still

:33:50. > :33:53.wants to keep an eye on. We know the Miss Davies started well up front.

:33:54. > :34:06.They used the soft tyre in the initial stages. We have seen the pit

:34:07. > :34:11.stop for Grosjean, but it is Mark Webber who lead this country. He is

:34:12. > :34:16.looking to try and build up the pace a bit more, get a bit more speed out

:34:17. > :34:21.of it all. Sutil is just crossing the line. Then you have got Felipe

:34:22. > :34:26.Massa, Rosberg, further back behind him, and then Bottas and Hamilton.

:34:27. > :34:31.In the battle of the young teams, towards the back of the field, it

:34:32. > :34:36.looks as though Max Chilton, despite his problems, is still leading that.

:34:37. > :34:41.We lost Giedo van der Garde on the opening lap, pretty much. It did

:34:42. > :34:46.sound as though there may have been some contact with Max Chilton. A

:34:47. > :34:50.Chilton is leading the group ahead of his team-mate, Bianchi. We have

:34:51. > :34:54.seen, there is a drive-through penalty for Esteban Gutierrez. That

:34:55. > :35:02.will help Felipe Massa a bit. That will clear him. Then, there was no

:35:03. > :35:07.reason for Lotus to keep Grosjean out until lap 14. For the last five

:35:08. > :35:14.laps, he was losing so much performance. I actually spoke to one

:35:15. > :35:19.of the letters engineers on the ground and -- grid and asked if they

:35:20. > :35:26.could do 45 laps in the prime tyre, and they said, well, we are not

:35:27. > :35:31.ruling it out. Looking back at the start to spot Gutierrez, let's see.

:35:32. > :35:37.This is on board with Grosjean. He was on the right-hand side,

:35:38. > :35:40.Gutierrez. I'm surprised. Normally they say that if you gain an

:35:41. > :35:48.advantage from that, there is a sensor in the track that picks up

:35:49. > :35:52.from the car itself. Many years ago, there were a lot of jump start

:35:53. > :35:58.because it detected a small amount of movement. They now have a range

:35:59. > :36:04.issue. As long as you are within a few inches of the sensor, it is not

:36:05. > :36:07.deemed to be a jump start. So, a lesson learned. Sometimes it's

:36:08. > :36:18.better to position your car back the centre. -- back of the centre.

:36:19. > :36:24.Unfortunate for Gutierrez. He had a tough race last time in Japan. That

:36:25. > :36:30.is one detail for anybody who is going to be in F1 in the future.

:36:31. > :36:38.Find out where the sensor is on the tarmac and work out how many inches

:36:39. > :36:46.you have got to play with. TEAM RADIO: At the moment we are still on

:36:47. > :36:53.plan A. He is eight seconds behind Mark Webber. They are happy to leave

:36:54. > :36:56.him out there and do a good, long stint on those medium compound

:36:57. > :37:00.tyres. Mark Webber continues to match what Sebastien Vettel is

:37:01. > :37:11.doing. They are the only drivers that are in the same time bracket,

:37:12. > :37:16.one minute and 31s. Gary, how is this all working out as you see it?

:37:17. > :37:22.When I didn't make a good start. There was a bit of traffic. --

:37:23. > :37:33.Webber didn't make a good start. Alonso was 19. It just shows, it is

:37:34. > :37:38.down to luck, commitment, and a lot of things. In the end of the day,

:37:39. > :37:46.Vettel has done some fantastic things. He has made it look so easy.

:37:47. > :37:58.Every time he picks up a bit of DRS, he seems to fly past them. That has

:37:59. > :38:05.helped him. If you meet the cars in the right point, use the DRS, you

:38:06. > :38:16.can gain on lap time. Webber to Vettel is 12.4 seconds. I know you

:38:17. > :38:20.don't have a crystal ball, Gary, but it is looking like Sebastien is on

:38:21. > :38:33.his way to a victory. How do you see the battle for the other positions?

:38:34. > :38:43.If I looked at it, I think it will be a Vettel-Webber, nation. --

:38:44. > :38:54.combination. At the end of the day, that is the race. I don't see Mark

:38:55. > :39:02.Webber having to do a third stop. He has just done his fastest lap. His

:39:03. > :39:08.tyres are OK. Look how hard Alonso is trying. He is using all the

:39:09. > :39:20.track. He has gone over the side several times there. He has dropped

:39:21. > :39:30.down the order. He is just ahead. The Sauber is the fastest car in a

:39:31. > :39:37.straight line. That is the problem. TEAM RADIO: That is a Vettel, we are

:39:38. > :39:42.not racing him. Sensible instructions there to Perez. Don't

:39:43. > :39:49.worry about Vettel. He is going to be in second place very soon. And

:39:50. > :39:53.when Mark Webber pits, he will come into third position. I can see it

:39:54. > :40:11.being a Red Bull 1-2-macro. We will see what happens. Hamilton

:40:12. > :40:15.is now one place behind Rosberg. There is a three second gap between

:40:16. > :40:23.them. Massa leads both of the Mercedes. Had a good lap, Felipe

:40:24. > :40:30.Massa. Vettel I fastest that last lap. But a little mistake for once.

:40:31. > :40:35.Yeah, locking up. We haven't seen too many mistakes from him. As he

:40:36. > :40:47.continues to push on, getting into the EDI zone -- DIS zone, he will

:40:48. > :40:51.have to keep an eye on that. It is looking good for Sebastien Vettel

:40:52. > :40:54.now. Further down, we can see that Alonso has managed to get past

:40:55. > :40:58.Gutierrez. He has dealt with the Sauber very quickly. We thought it

:40:59. > :41:08.might be more of a problem than that. Grosjean will now try to get

:41:09. > :41:13.past Gutierrez. Grosjean is on that different strategy. We will have to

:41:14. > :41:16.see how that resolves. Way down the order is Jenson Button. He is in

:41:17. > :41:23.18th place, having made two pit stops. Gutierrez has passed Alonso

:41:24. > :41:30.again on the way down to the fourth turn. I'm sure we will see a replay

:41:31. > :41:37.of that any time soon. This is a nice battle between these two. It is

:41:38. > :41:40.good stuff. The rookie Mexican, who had that first points finish last

:41:41. > :41:47.time, is dicing away with the double world champion. This is how Perez

:41:48. > :41:53.came back fast. You can see the difference in speed by using the

:41:54. > :42:05.DRS. The Sauber has great top speeds anyway. He still finds in cell

:42:06. > :42:13.behind the Sauber. -- finds himself. Lots going on for Gutierrez. It is

:42:14. > :42:19.Charles Pic up the road there. This is where Alonso was quick and got

:42:20. > :42:25.past him on the first DRS zone. It is not going to happen on this

:42:26. > :42:31.occasion. Also keeping an eye on Romain Grosjean. He is not far

:42:32. > :42:36.behind these two. Alonso has got himself in a better position this

:42:37. > :42:48.time. Gutierrez will have DRS off the caterer in front. -- caterer.

:42:49. > :42:56.That was an indicator of how quick the Sauber is in a sherry line.

:42:57. > :43:02.Gutierrez has stayed in front of Alonso. You can see that Grosjean is

:43:03. > :43:12.going to go past. He stays on the tail of these guys. Mark leather is

:43:13. > :43:20.still lapping 1: 31.1. -- Mark Webber. Here comes Vettel behind

:43:21. > :43:23.Sergio Perez as he continues his charge through the field. He really

:43:24. > :43:32.has cut his way through the traffic really well. Perez has his own

:43:33. > :43:40.racier. Red Bull would be on target to win the constructors championship

:43:41. > :43:46.here today. It looks as though it could be double success for them in

:43:47. > :43:57.India. Is he going to pass? He just gets it done on the brakes. I doubt

:43:58. > :44:01.Perez will have any comeback. Sebastien Vettel, then, has got

:44:02. > :44:05.himself into second place already. We were not expecting this. We

:44:06. > :44:12.thought that dropping back into traffic would take longer. But

:44:13. > :44:17.already, on lap 21, he only has his team-mate at the head. Mark Webber

:44:18. > :44:21.still has to use those soft tyres at some point, whether it is in the

:44:22. > :44:25.middle of the race at the end of the race. More likely to see it at the

:44:26. > :44:32.end of the race. But he still has to use them. Mark has another stop as

:44:33. > :44:39.yet. Oh, look at this! Alonso gets past Gutierrez. That was an unusual

:44:40. > :44:45.place to do it. Turn five, a fantastic may well stay there. Had

:44:46. > :44:55.to be aggressive. Hopefully we will get a replay. Gutierrez was getting

:44:56. > :45:02.a bit defensive. Here we go, then. Very late. This is into four. He

:45:03. > :45:12.cuts back. No DRS in own. Maybe he saved his KERS. In the end, it was

:45:13. > :45:18.smart racing. That was clever. You think you saved all his KERS for

:45:19. > :45:21.that particular move? I think so. It is Ferrari power against Ferrari

:45:22. > :45:33.power. You can't out power the same engine. It brings Alonso back into

:45:34. > :45:38.13th place. Behind him, Gutierrez has Grosjean not far away. Mark

:45:39. > :45:46.Webber continues. Look at the comparison in lap time. Vettel is

:45:47. > :45:58.just piling the pressure on now. RADIO: Do not worry about being

:45:59. > :46:03.overtaken by Vettel. We are in a good position. OK, OK, OK. He has

:46:04. > :46:15.got the message. Zero degradation on the tyres right

:46:16. > :46:24.now. Confirming that the prime tyre is able to maintain its performance

:46:25. > :46:32.and lap on lap, which should be a bit faster as you burn fuel. Rosberg

:46:33. > :46:37.coming under pressure from Hamilton and a little gap between Rosberg and

:46:38. > :46:42.Hamilton, down in seventh and eighth at the moment. Let's run through

:46:43. > :46:46.that top ten. Webber, then Vettel, Perez in third, then Daniel Riccardo

:46:47. > :46:51.running in fourth without a pit stop yet, Adrian Sutil in fifth, Felipe

:46:52. > :46:57.Massa in six, he has been is the pits but then Nico Rosberg and then

:46:58. > :47:06.Hamilton, and Hulkenberg in 10th position. Kimi Raikkonen in 11th

:47:07. > :47:10.ahead of Paul Di Resta. Jenson Button things have not worked well

:47:11. > :47:14.for him today, a bit of contact with Fernando Alonso, had to make an

:47:15. > :47:21.early pit stop to get off the compound tyre so Perez is running

:47:22. > :47:25.well in third, I do not think the others on the same tyres will be

:47:26. > :47:29.able to deliver the same result. Max Chilton leading the young teams,

:47:30. > :47:38.only one Caterham left, Charles Pic. Bear in mind...

:47:39. > :47:41.RADIO: Kimi Raikkonen, you need to start cooling the car on the

:47:42. > :47:46.straights where possible. Interesting to hear that. Air

:47:47. > :47:53.temperature 30 degrees but we have seen more than that this year. Last

:47:54. > :47:57.time round he was .7 seconds behind Hulkenberg so running in the

:47:58. > :48:01.slipstream of the car in front does not allow as much fresh air and

:48:02. > :48:11.energy to pass through the side pods to cool the engine. Felipe Massa was

:48:12. > :48:14.able to get the pace back again but Nico Rosberg having a good lunch

:48:15. > :48:19.here and this is effectively what will be third position, the final

:48:20. > :48:22.podium spot we would think although maybe Perez might want to play a

:48:23. > :48:27.part in that. I do not think you will be strong enough but this is

:48:28. > :48:31.crucial. They are having fun there. The track was designed to create a

:48:32. > :48:36.lot of space on the way into the terms so no harm in having a go. Did

:48:37. > :48:40.not work that time but not far-off micro. Felipe Massa just hanging on

:48:41. > :48:44.in there, can he get a great result in one of his last races for

:48:45. > :48:48.Ferrari? That would help him in his target of getting a decent Formula

:48:49. > :48:59.One drive for next year. Nico Rosberg still chasing. Paddy Lowe

:49:00. > :49:08.and Ron Meadows keeping an eye on the progress of their drivers.

:49:09. > :49:16.Hulkenberg copperhead with him, it might have been Bottas beside him. I

:49:17. > :49:24.think it was. Hulkenberg struggling on the way into turn ten and then

:49:25. > :49:34.builds up the speed as he exits 12. Kimi Raikkonen is in better shape.

:49:35. > :49:38.RADIO: That was not an advantage. Sounds like he has gone wide

:49:39. > :49:45.somewhere and he is saying it was not an advantage gained or lost. We

:49:46. > :49:48.will have to see a replay. If you do run off track and gain an

:49:49. > :49:53.advantage, drive-through penalties are quickly brought about. He got

:49:54. > :50:08.stuck behind Felipe Massa. He has got good traction, has he got

:50:09. > :50:13.the straight-line speed to stay in frontier. The lotus of Kimi

:50:14. > :50:18.Raikkonen was in slightly better shape than his team-mate Romain

:50:19. > :50:22.Grosjean but still not enough to get him self in a passing place and

:50:23. > :50:28.Raikkonen locks up, he looked like he was opening the steering there.

:50:29. > :50:35.This was the other incident, did he run wide? The question of whether he

:50:36. > :50:39.gained an advantage and that is why he was on the radio saying he did

:50:40. > :50:43.not gain one. You can also bet that Kimi Raikkonen is on the radio

:50:44. > :50:49.saying he did! Joining us on the pit wall is team principal of Red Bull,

:50:50. > :50:52.Christian Horner. Thank you for joining us. Sebastien Vettel seems

:50:53. > :50:57.to be doing everything asked of him because the way he has come through

:50:58. > :51:01.the traffic is critical to the outcome of this race. That was

:51:02. > :51:08.decisive after that early stop on Lap 2 to clear through the traffic

:51:09. > :51:12.quickly whilst maintaining the gap. He did that extremely well and he

:51:13. > :51:22.has got himself into a strong position and Mark is working that

:51:23. > :51:30.gap away . Is it just a straight race between your two drivers? You

:51:31. > :51:37.can never say that , we will see how the second half of the race goes.

:51:38. > :51:42.Any team orders coming into play? You should know better than to ask

:51:43. > :51:45.questions like that! They are free to race. Thank you, Christian,

:51:46. > :51:52.hopefully we will speak to you later.

:51:53. > :51:58.Vettel fastest of anybody in the middle sector of this race, office

:51:59. > :52:07.lap. Nico Rosberg still chasing after Massa. A crucial fight up

:52:08. > :52:11.ahead of them and the next question is how deep into the race do these

:52:12. > :52:17.guys manage to go on the medium compound tyre? Radio transmission

:52:18. > :52:22.from Adrian Sutil to his engineer say that the tyres are lasting well

:52:23. > :52:29.so it does not look like he will stop any time soon. Right now, he

:52:30. > :52:33.can cause them trouble by holding them up and pushing them back and

:52:34. > :52:38.what that does is gives Perez a bit of breathing space, for instance.

:52:39. > :52:42.Hutu rebels upfront. Force India have put in some long stints this

:52:43. > :52:47.year, looking after their tyres well, that was when the old

:52:48. > :52:51.construction was being used but that was when the compound was not being

:52:52. > :52:55.stressed as much and I am wondering if they will go as far as they can.

:52:56. > :53:01.The recommendation is around 35 laps as the maximum on the medium

:53:02. > :53:06.compound tyre. Adrian Sutil may try to take it further than that. He

:53:07. > :53:11.will have to run the soft tyre at some point, still Felipe Massa and

:53:12. > :53:17.Nico Rosberg. A chance for Rosberg and Felipe Massa having to do is

:53:18. > :53:20.Rosberg. Lewis Hamilton is catching them. Who will be watching them to

:53:21. > :53:26.see if they get tangled up with each other and Lewis dropping back little

:53:27. > :53:32.bit, but wanted to get involved in this battle -- not wanting to get

:53:33. > :53:36.involved. We are approaching the half distance mark in this Grand

:53:37. > :53:39.Prix and it is Mark Webber who continues to lead the race but

:53:40. > :53:44.Vettel is chasing after him and the strategy which seems to favour

:53:45. > :53:48.Webber at the start of this, once again, Vettel seems to convert it

:53:49. > :53:51.towards his favour are plenty more going on behind. Remember any

:53:52. > :53:57.Constructors' Championship, Ferrari and Mercedes are having a battle for

:53:58. > :54:02.second place and we have got to Ferrari versus two Mercedes here.

:54:03. > :54:06.Tom, what have you got? Interesting to hear Christian Horner comment

:54:07. > :54:10.about the prospect of a safety car because they will certainly be

:54:11. > :54:15.wondering what tyre they put on Mark Webber's car next, another prime

:54:16. > :54:19.tyre? Or do they go for an option? If you put a prime on and get a

:54:20. > :54:24.safety car, you will have to put the option tyre on and can either get in

:54:25. > :54:31.the end of the race? That is the question going through their mind.

:54:32. > :54:34.Rosberg making a stop, a really interesting pit lane entry, the car

:54:35. > :54:41.is on the limit all the way round here. Much more visibly than normal.

:54:42. > :54:46.You look a tight turn on the end of turn 16 and then the pit limit is

:54:47. > :54:52.some way further down so they have to attack it. We have seen a number

:54:53. > :55:09.of the cars go sideways. Grosjean will see the Mercedes ahead

:55:10. > :55:13.and interesting to see if he has the same kind of pace and maybe get

:55:14. > :55:16.himself into a position and into the pits has come Mark Webber, he has

:55:17. > :55:21.gone for his first pit stop in this Grand Prix, 29 laps putting the soft

:55:22. > :55:25.tyre on and so he has gone for a short stint now, they have not left

:55:26. > :55:28.it until the end of the Grand Prix which is what they thought they

:55:29. > :55:31.might do, they have gone for the soft tyres. You will only be out

:55:32. > :55:35.there for maybe five or seven laps, you would think. In a space behind

:55:36. > :55:46.to get clean air and drop behind Perez. Perez has done his stop. Gone

:55:47. > :55:49.on to the softer tyre as well so same strategy for McLaren and the

:55:50. > :55:55.final stint will be on the medium compound tyre once again and Perez

:55:56. > :55:57.is one to keep an eye on, he has gone up behind Hamilton but ahead of

:55:58. > :56:05.Hulkenberg said there is Lewis Hamilton. He has not made his second

:56:06. > :56:08.pit stop yet. Rosberg coming in earlier than Hamilton on this

:56:09. > :56:14.occasion. Hamilton tried to close the gap up a bit more to Felipe

:56:15. > :56:17.Massa. This part of the race is all about how the car and the drivers

:56:18. > :56:22.have looked after their tyres and Hamilton seems to have looked after

:56:23. > :56:26.his very well. This was Grosjean on Gutierrez aim at ago. A quick switch

:56:27. > :56:36.back and then switch back the other way. A double dummy.

:56:37. > :56:44.I read French men trying to overtake a Mexican into that! Was Tierra is

:56:45. > :56:54.moving too much in front of Grosjean? -- was Gutierrez? I was

:56:55. > :56:59.more watching the car behind so there is the message, all depends on

:57:00. > :57:05.how much movement Gutierrez was doing in front of Romain Grosjean.

:57:06. > :57:10.Mark Webber is back out now in second place after having made his

:57:11. > :57:13.pit stop, Sebastien Vettel leads the Indian Grand Prix as we reach the

:57:14. > :57:22.half distance point and is driving beautifully once again as he tries

:57:23. > :57:29.to complete this 100% record of Indian victories and also get his

:57:30. > :57:31.World Championship. His only opponent in the Drivers'

:57:32. > :57:36.Championship is Fernando Alonso who is done in 12, that will not do at

:57:37. > :57:40.all. Meanwhile, lots going on in the race for the final podium slot and

:57:41. > :57:43.Sergio Perez has got a real chance on Lewis Hamilton here trying to

:57:44. > :57:47.pick it up, he has got the soft tyres on, Perez, and he is trying to

:57:48. > :57:54.make the most of the extra grip babe bring you at the start of the stint.

:57:55. > :57:59.Hamilton holds off. That tyre is about .5 of a second faster,

:58:00. > :58:07.Mercedes power against Mercedes power and he has made it work that

:58:08. > :58:11.time. Perez will try to get in amongst Massa who has been held

:58:12. > :58:20.behind Adrian Sutil. Sutil going a long way on these tyres, Lap 31 as

:58:21. > :58:23.he is chased by this group. On board with Vettel, editor of lock-up

:58:24. > :58:27.there, needs to be looking utterly tyres but Mark Webber is no going

:58:28. > :58:33.very quickly on his new set of tyres, he has set the fastest lap of

:58:34. > :58:43.the race, 129.5, they are racing against each other.

:58:44. > :58:52.That is the gap, ten seconds between them and Webber has to use the soft

:58:53. > :58:55.tyre later on. 15 laps available on the tyres, it is unlikely that he

:58:56. > :59:02.will be able to catch Vettel before having to pit. Look at this pit

:59:03. > :59:10.stop, Hamilton out behind Felipe Massa, where is Rosberg? He will not

:59:11. > :59:15.be that close, here comes Alonso. That looks pretty neat and tidy,

:59:16. > :59:23.2.9, same as Lewis Hamilton. Away they go once again. As they rejoin

:59:24. > :59:30.the field, that is a Force India pulling out there.

:59:31. > :59:38.RADIO: Box, box, box. Sebastien Vettel will now be coming in for his

:59:39. > :59:43.final pit stop and he will then take the medium compound tyre to the very

:59:44. > :59:47.end of this Grand Prix. Crucially, he has such a lead over Daniel

:59:48. > :59:52.Ricardo, he can do a normal pit stop and get back out in second place.

:59:53. > :59:56.Webber will make his final pit stop pretty soon because he is on the

:59:57. > :00:00.soft tyre and he will not be out there for very long so we will get

:00:01. > :00:05.the real picture here very, very soon because I want Hamley laps

:00:06. > :00:10.Webber will manage to do, Vettel and needed a few -- how many laps. He

:00:11. > :00:13.only did two laps and then came back on the end of that. Webber make a

:00:14. > :00:18.longer than that but his lap time has been good. A good lap but it

:00:19. > :00:24.depends on the next one, can he maintain that pays? Unlikely based

:00:25. > :00:27.on everything through practice, that option tyre will be getting micro

:00:28. > :00:36.blisters at the end of the first lap and when it gets worse, it will only

:00:37. > :00:39.get worse. Webber has got the pit stop to make little plug that gap,

:00:40. > :00:44.surely not much enough for him to make a pit stop so he needs to get a

:00:45. > :00:49.bit more performance out of those soft tyres, Vettel knows it, he

:00:50. > :00:56.bit more performance out of those on the limit at this crucial stage

:00:57. > :01:06.of the race. Clean air for Vettel, likewise for Webber. This is Romain

:01:07. > :01:14.Grosjean. We can see the movie made on Alonso. -- the move he made.

:01:15. > :01:20.Grosjean still going on on Alonso. -- the move he made.

:01:21. > :01:27.different strategy, by the looks of things. Fernando Alonso is not

:01:28. > :01:36.behind the McLaren for much longer, unless Jenson comes back. He does

:01:37. > :01:45.take the place. They are not -- they are having fun, but it didn't work

:01:46. > :01:50.out for Jenson there. Mark Webber is in. He is going to make the change.

:01:51. > :01:54.Vettel has already gone past. He has got the lead of this Grand Prix.

:01:55. > :01:59.Mark Webber comes out behind some traffic as well. He has come out

:02:00. > :02:05.behind Daniel Ricciardo. Now it is a race to the end, but it is Vettel

:02:06. > :02:11.who is in front. Red Bull will have put that option tyre on Mark Webber

:02:12. > :02:17.to get it out of the way. If the safety car had come out, he would

:02:18. > :02:23.have been in a bad place. Now he is able to race to the end. A unlikely

:02:24. > :02:29.he is good to make much headway to what Sebastien Vettel, who has got a

:02:30. > :02:34.comfortable lead. We saw Perez getting out shape as well. He is

:02:35. > :02:38.running a good race today. He is not far behind Mark Webber. But he does

:02:39. > :02:42.have another pit stop to make quite soon. His soft tyres are beginning

:02:43. > :02:48.to wear off. That is why you are seeing Perez move around so much. He

:02:49. > :02:54.is still a player in what could be some decent points. An investigation

:02:55. > :02:58.into Hulkenberg and Rosberg. It has taken a while to come up. We saw a

:02:59. > :03:03.replay earlier on when Hulkenberg went off track when going around

:03:04. > :03:07.Bottas. He believed he was squeezed off track. That doesn't always seem

:03:08. > :03:11.to serve as an excuse these days. Might be tough for him to argue that

:03:12. > :03:19.one, or, at least, for the team to argue. What is the gap between

:03:20. > :03:23.Vettel and Mark Webber? It is 12.5 seconds. My goodness. The computer

:03:24. > :03:31.predictions had Mark Webber ahead at the end of the race by some four or

:03:32. > :03:41.five seconds. At this stage, that has got a second advantage. That was

:03:42. > :03:56.in response to him going fastest ball. -- fastest of all. The

:03:57. > :04:01.previous lap record here was 27.2. That was him, too. I doubt they are

:04:02. > :04:08.in a division to beat that. -- a position. The only thing that

:04:09. > :04:16.matters is getting the car to the finish. He is leading this Grand

:04:17. > :04:21.Prix. He just has to keep himself out of trouble. He could take a

:04:22. > :04:30.third straight win in India. There has been no further action on the

:04:31. > :04:35.Hulkenberg -Rosberg action. Hamilton is attacking and trying to get past

:04:36. > :04:38.the Toro Rosso. Ricciardo made the pit stop. Hamilton tried to take

:04:39. > :04:42.advantage of it. It is going to be tough on this section of the

:04:43. > :04:47.circuit. Not what he wanted. That is how it has worked out for him. Gary,

:04:48. > :04:59.Sebastien Vettel, once again, just amazing. A fantastic drive through

:05:00. > :05:14.the traffic. There's always this question, can he win from behind? He

:05:15. > :05:20.did pass people. The momentum is there. Webber didn't go for the tiny

:05:21. > :05:28.could have done. -- isn't there. Webber didn't go for the time he

:05:29. > :05:37.could have done. May be the safety car could have affected things.

:05:38. > :05:47.Here, at this track, the big-time is the first couple of laps. There are

:05:48. > :05:53.lots of run-off areas. They know they are in for a good position.

:05:54. > :05:58.What about third place, and Sutil? How far is he going to go? He is

:05:59. > :06:03.currently in third but he has come a long way on those medium compound

:06:04. > :06:11.tyres. And the lap times have not been bad. Pirelli did advise the

:06:12. > :06:20.teams to do 35 laps. They have just hit lap 35 now. TEAM RADIO: Our

:06:21. > :06:29.tyres will be OK to the end but we can't go crazy. No, and Vettel is

:06:30. > :06:34.still increasing time. Perez is cutting to the traffic. What are his

:06:35. > :06:45.chances of a decent result? The opening of the gap to get ahead of

:06:46. > :06:51.Hamilton. -- he opened the gap. We know that Raikkonen has to pit

:06:52. > :06:55.again. It is not going to unfold until the last lap. Raikkonen is

:06:56. > :07:10.beginning to catch Adrian Sutil a touch. ) did start on the soft

:07:11. > :07:16.tyres. He has done 28 laps on these tyres. -- Raikkonen did start. A

:07:17. > :07:25.pretty impressive run from the German. He is a quiet man. But he

:07:26. > :07:31.has been getting on with bringing the car home in good positions. His

:07:32. > :07:37.team-mate has made two stops already this afternoon. Stop very early at

:07:38. > :07:44.the beginning of the Grand Prix. He is coming down just behind Alonso in

:07:45. > :07:52.14th place. Alonso in 13th. Button is in 18th. McLaren have lost 30

:07:53. > :08:00.seconds to Vettel over the course of the race. Now, looking at the gap

:08:01. > :08:05.between Vettel and Rosberg, it is over 30 seconds. It shows the sheer

:08:06. > :08:08.pace the Red Bull has against the Mercedes at this point. Mercedes,

:08:09. > :08:13.though, will be looking at Ferrari and what they are doing. Currently,

:08:14. > :08:20.Mercedes are there. They have got two cars in the top ten. Hamilton is

:08:21. > :08:28.further down, in ninth. There is a ten point gap between savers and

:08:29. > :08:46.Ferrari. It -- between Mercedes and Ferrari. The tyres are much older.

:08:47. > :08:53.Alonso has been in again. His third pit stop. He is going to come back

:08:54. > :08:59.out. Let's see where. He is in 16th. I think he is good to be

:09:00. > :09:04.behind Gutierrez again. That will be fun. They have some entertaining

:09:05. > :09:07.dicing earlier on. As things stand, Sebastien Vettel will win the

:09:08. > :09:13.championship and Red Bull will certainly win the constructors

:09:14. > :09:16.championship. Both titles look to be settled. There is not much that

:09:17. > :09:30.Alonso in particular can do about it. So, on board with the Red Bull.

:09:31. > :09:34.Things will change as we get to was the latter part of the race. We are

:09:35. > :09:41.on board with Ricciardo. He is chasing Felipe Massa. Betty is

:09:42. > :09:47.looking forward to getting his hands on a Red Bull. -- I bet he is

:09:48. > :09:52.looking forward. He has done enough to impress the senior team. It is a

:09:53. > :09:56.chance of a lifetime, to go up against what is going to be a

:09:57. > :10:01.four-time world champion, and show what you are made of. It is every

:10:02. > :10:11.driver's dream. Perez is still going well. Looks like a retirement for

:10:12. > :10:22.Charles Pic. Van der Garde was the first retirement. He is not out of

:10:23. > :10:26.the car, yet, though. TEAM RADIO: We have a serious issue on the car so

:10:27. > :10:39.we are retiring. Doesn't look like any chance for Marussia to gain on

:10:40. > :10:45.them in the title positions. Sutil is still going. They said 35 laps.

:10:46. > :10:55.Did we think that he might make this a one-stop race? We wondered about

:10:56. > :11:06.was Jean. -- about Grosjean. TEAM RADIO: We need to push harder. How

:11:07. > :11:13.much harder? Had every Spurs at -- we had every prospect of going to

:11:14. > :11:17.the end. The guys at notice are going to be watching carefully. They

:11:18. > :11:31.have got to get 46 laps out Grosjean 's tyres. The lap times look fairly

:11:32. > :11:36.consistent, actually. It would give him a good chance of having a good

:11:37. > :11:41.top finish, which would give force in the a lift. They have been under

:11:42. > :11:47.pressure from Sauber recently. They goes Ricciardo. -- would give Force

:11:48. > :11:57.India a less. We're watching Nico Rosberg. He is

:11:58. > :12:03.currently in fifth place. Behind him is Romain Grosjean. He is quite a

:12:04. > :12:07.long way behind. We have got a Marussia between them. Just to

:12:08. > :12:11.remind you what is happening, Sebastien Vettel leads the Indian

:12:12. > :12:21.Grand Prix. He started on the soft tyre. We thought maybe he would be

:12:22. > :12:30.better on the hard tyre. TEAM RADIO: We are losing gearbox synch. What

:12:31. > :12:36.does that mean? Wendy driver pulls the paddle, you get this constant

:12:37. > :12:44.acceleration. He is in trouble! Mark Webber pulls off! It is all over!

:12:45. > :12:51.Years out. The fans are rushing down to the fence to try to get a view of

:12:52. > :12:55.Mark Webber. It is all over and the man who many people thought might

:12:56. > :13:00.take a victory here today, and in the constructors championship it is

:13:01. > :13:04.a loss of points as well. We gather it is an alternator failure. We

:13:05. > :13:10.haven't seen one of those much this year. It was last year that we

:13:11. > :13:25.really saw the problems. But Mark Webber is out of the Indian Grand

:13:26. > :13:31.Prix. TEAM RADIO: I am aware. What is it do about it? Not much. No

:13:32. > :13:35.longer is Mark Webber in second. There are a number of big screens

:13:36. > :13:40.around this track. Sebastien will have been looking at the television

:13:41. > :13:44.and seen as Mark has pulled. A disappointing finish for Mark

:13:45. > :13:47.Webber. Lose the alternator and you lose hydraulic pressure, lose the

:13:48. > :13:52.hydraulic pressure and you don't get the gear shift. Somebody has got the

:13:53. > :13:58.gloves, though, because he has just thrown the gloves into the crowd. He

:13:59. > :14:04.probably feels like throwing the car into the crowd. You have to feel for

:14:05. > :14:09.him. As his Grand Prix career winds down, after an opportunity that he

:14:10. > :14:15.might get a victory, he was on for second place, but sadly not to be.

:14:16. > :14:18.Some slightly glum looking faces on the Red Bull pit wall, despite the

:14:19. > :14:23.fact it is likely that they are going to be able to get both

:14:24. > :14:26.championships here today. Ferrari aren't scoring that many. It is

:14:27. > :14:33.Webber third retirement of the year. Well, look, he was still at the date

:14:34. > :14:42.be OK for Red Bull to win the constructors championship. -- he

:14:43. > :14:47.would still be OK. That is something to keep an eye on. In terms of the

:14:48. > :14:53.constructors championship, Red Bull need to be 129 ahead at the end of

:14:54. > :15:03.the race in order to make sure the title here is gained. The worry is

:15:04. > :15:08.that if it can happen to one car, maybe it can happen to the other. We

:15:09. > :15:12.have seen this before for Red Bull. A few years in -- years ago in

:15:13. > :15:24.Valencia, that is what put Mark Webber out. They had a gearbox issue

:15:25. > :15:28.at Silverstone this year. They seem to have got to the bottom of that.

:15:29. > :15:37.Suddenly, it has reared its head again. Sebastien Vettel may have

:15:38. > :15:42.some nervousness. They can turn down the engine more. That will bring the

:15:43. > :15:48.RPM down. They could take some temperature away from the car. They

:15:49. > :16:01.will hope they are not and you have a similar issue. Raikkonen still has

:16:02. > :16:07.another pit stop to go as the soft tyres go on Adrian Sutil so will he

:16:08. > :16:11.try to do a mammoth stint on the soft tyre longer than anybody else

:16:12. > :16:17.had achieved? But remember Grosjean did 15 laps in the first part of the

:16:18. > :16:23.Grand Prix so they are hoping to do just a bit more. If you can control

:16:24. > :16:28.the blistering, the car has burned off a lot of his weight. Starting to

:16:29. > :16:33.get to a position where the car tends to slide around less, if he

:16:34. > :16:39.keeps out of the slipstream of cars in front when he should be able to

:16:40. > :16:45.make those 18 laps. But will he have the pace? It would not take an awful

:16:46. > :16:49.lot for him to lose pace and then drop way out of the points. This is

:16:50. > :16:58.what happened to Mark Webber. RADIO: We need to stop the car, I am

:16:59. > :17:08.very sorry. Stop the car? Correct, stop the car. Stop the car. Pullover

:17:09. > :17:15.on a safe place. It was an alternator. The same instruction to

:17:16. > :17:19.Vettel in Monza last year. It can mess up the rest of the engine and

:17:20. > :17:25.these engines are used multiple times so they really need to cut it

:17:26. > :17:29.very quickly. Who saw his engineer their, hands on his chin,

:17:30. > :17:34.disappointment for the whole team. I don't know if that has given

:17:35. > :17:38.Fernando Alonso a lift but he has set the fastest sector time. Alonso

:17:39. > :17:43.is all the way down in 14th position currently battling for fifth with

:17:44. > :17:50.Felipe Massa battling with Lewis Hamilton, not far behind the

:17:51. > :17:52.Ferrari. Seems evenly matched, Ferrari- Mercedes run. Rosberg is

:17:53. > :18:03.ahead of them with Grosjean in between. Hamilton, he had contact in

:18:04. > :18:08.the first ever grand prix. The only track on the current schedule that

:18:09. > :18:15.Lewis Hamilton has not had a podium finish on. We wonder what he can do

:18:16. > :18:20.to fix that today. We have now lost Webber, there is a chance for two

:18:21. > :18:24.other podium finishes other than a Red Bull so let's see what happens

:18:25. > :18:34.as Hamilton tries to bear down on Felipe Massa. A lot quicker an entry

:18:35. > :18:40.speed to 15 but cleaner as he leaves the turn. This is about trying to

:18:41. > :18:44.get into the DRS zone, he will be able to release it on the start, get

:18:45. > :18:48.himself into a closer position and then crucially he has got to be as

:18:49. > :18:54.close as possible when they enter the third turn. Still lots of fans

:18:55. > :19:00.trying to get a view of the red role of Mark Webber as it is taken out of

:19:01. > :19:09.the way. It is reassuring to see so many fans out there, as

:19:10. > :19:13.disappointing as it is for Mark. There is enthusiasm for motorsport

:19:14. > :19:20.in India and it takes time. He still manages to have a smile on his face

:19:21. > :19:29.which is incredible. He is there with his trainer and his media

:19:30. > :19:35.helper. He is quite clear, he is out of here. They are not allowed to

:19:36. > :19:38.leave the circuit until the race control confirms that there is no

:19:39. > :19:42.incident to be investigated. Unlikely that he would be up for

:19:43. > :19:45.anything that they do need to get confirmation from race control

:19:46. > :19:54.before leaving the circuit otherwise you could get a penalty at the next

:19:55. > :19:56.event. If it ended up being a great -- grid penalty, that could be very

:19:57. > :20:08.bad. We're watching Felipe Massa still in

:20:09. > :20:12.front of Lewis Hamilton in the battle for fifth place. Managing to

:20:13. > :20:19.just edge in front of that Mercedes, Kimi Raikkonen still in second place

:20:20. > :20:23.but he has to run the soft tyre still at some point in this Grand

:20:24. > :20:27.Prix so I wonder if that will change around. That would bring Rosberg

:20:28. > :20:35.into second and Grosjean is the other one who is on the different

:20:36. > :20:39.strategy. Both Force Indias are in the top ten but of course on

:20:40. > :20:50.somewhat different strategies. Paul Di Resta is head of Adrian Sutil.

:20:51. > :20:55.Both Force Indias in the points at this stage. That would be something,

:20:56. > :20:58.they have had put in India before and it would be nice to see both

:20:59. > :21:02.cars in the points on this occasion, let's wait and see as we watch Lewis

:21:03. > :21:15.Hamilton with still no change. Danielle Ricardo, no further action

:21:16. > :21:19.on the action between Gutierrez -- Danielle

:21:20. > :21:28.no complaints from Grosjean. I don't think Bottas will give up but there

:21:29. > :21:34.is not quite the space to do it. And so he finds himself in 12th place,

:21:35. > :21:41.Gutierrez is in 11th as Mark Webber faces the world's media. And it is a

:21:42. > :21:48.very short and brief interview but we can just hear from him. Let's

:21:49. > :21:53.hear what he had to say. He sounded quite surprised being told to stop

:21:54. > :21:58.the car any problems beforehand? I felt the problems in the gearbox and

:21:59. > :22:02.I told the guys and then they thought it would clear but it looks

:22:03. > :22:06.like it has come back very quickly. Were you disappointed to have to put

:22:07. > :22:12.the soft tyres on or would you rather run them at the end? We have

:22:13. > :22:16.to protect against the safety car as well. You have to run them for a few

:22:17. > :22:20.laps which we did will stop if you put the rhymes on and go again, you

:22:21. > :22:28.are a bit exposed to the safety car. It is a bit more... In the end, I

:22:29. > :22:34.have a smile on my face, I couldn't do any more today. That's it. That

:22:35. > :22:37.is it, he sounds like he will be going out pretty soon. He put in a

:22:38. > :22:44.good effort, surely enough to get second. Fair play to him, and he

:22:45. > :22:48.still a smile on his face. He did not get the result that maybe he

:22:49. > :22:51.deserved or certainly that he deserved but he was enjoying

:22:52. > :22:57.himself. Alonso joining the back of this lot, there was contact between

:22:58. > :23:04.him and Webber on the very first corner of the Grand Prix and then

:23:05. > :23:08.Jenson Button had contact, he is done in 16th place. Alonso had a

:23:09. > :23:12.front wing change so that dropped him down the order but unlike

:23:13. > :23:18.Vettel, he has not been able to cut through. He said early on that there

:23:19. > :23:21.was a different feeling on the car turning right to turning left so we

:23:22. > :23:26.do not know for sure that there is not just more damage on this car

:23:27. > :23:31.than simply the front wing. He has not made much headway with lots of

:23:32. > :23:40.traffic in front of him. And the Ferrari has not had the pace as he

:23:41. > :23:45.locks up massively. In other Grosjean is going to be struggling a

:23:46. > :23:52.bit on his tyres which have done 33 laps already. Felipe Massa has only

:23:53. > :23:58.done 16 laps on his medium compound tyres. Further back, Paul Di Resta

:23:59. > :24:02.still in the top ten slot. Alonso has got his eyes on a point this

:24:03. > :24:07.afternoon, all of these cars in front. He can work his way through

:24:08. > :24:14.them and get in front of Adrian Sutil, he will be picking up one or

:24:15. > :24:20.two points. Alonso has made three pit stops here. He is on a slightly

:24:21. > :24:23.fresher set of tyres than some of those around him.

:24:24. > :24:33.RADIO: Try and save you will if you can. -- save fuel. You cannot save

:24:34. > :24:37.fuel without losing pace. You turn the engine down or start rolling out

:24:38. > :24:43.of the throttle before the braking zone and basically shutting off the

:24:44. > :24:48.throttle but both of those things will affect lap time. Kimi Raikkonen

:24:49. > :24:51.will lose lots of places when he makes his pit stop because although

:24:52. > :24:57.he is trying to open up the gap behind him, it will drop down, quite

:24:58. > :25:03.deep into the top ten when he makes his pit stop. About 21 seconds for

:25:04. > :25:09.his time in the pit lane. I will comment on Romain Grosjean who has

:25:10. > :25:14.just set his fastest lap of the race on tyres that are 34 laps old so I

:25:15. > :25:19.am sure he is looking very good to do these last 12 laps and hopefully

:25:20. > :25:25.keep this up and keep Felipe Massa behind him. Gutierrez is coming in

:25:26. > :25:39.for his third stop. That dropped him out of this group. Bottas going

:25:40. > :25:42.through and then Daniel Ricciardo. Even if Vettel has a recurrence of

:25:43. > :25:51.what we have seen from Mark Webber here, it is no good for Fernando

:25:52. > :25:53.Alonso to be where he is. But Toro Rosso Anne Williams behind them

:25:54. > :25:59.somewhere will be Fernando Alonso who takes full advantage of the loss

:26:00. > :26:06.of momentum and Bottas even has a go at going past Daniel Ricciardo.

:26:07. > :26:14.They have got one of those cars out of the way and are useful but

:26:15. > :26:20.opportunist overtaking from Fernando Alonso who now chases the Toro Rosso

:26:21. > :26:29.per head, catching Adrian Sutil who is on the soft tyre. Reasonable lap

:26:30. > :26:39.times but up ahead of him, Paul Di Resta on the medium compound tyre.

:26:40. > :26:45.RADIO: You are doing a really good job there. That should become second

:26:46. > :26:57.when Kimi Raikkonen mixes pit stop. His engineer is getting him a watch

:26:58. > :27:05.for effort. The DRS and suiting the Ferrari but let's see if it works

:27:06. > :27:12.for him now. As they get about 350 metres long this straight then the

:27:13. > :27:19.DRS flap opens up at not sure if he will get that off the car in front

:27:20. > :27:26.of him. Nico Rosberg may have asked a question about what position I in

:27:27. > :27:33.and they are saying that Kimi is in P2. Your pace is good, Sebastien,

:27:34. > :27:41.keep it tidy. It is Rosberg who is the fastest on the track. The

:27:42. > :27:50.question is, can Raikkonen keep going to the end? It would seem

:27:51. > :27:59.unlikely given that Pirelli were saying that there was a 35 lap

:28:00. > :28:03.limit. Romain Grosjean may well be trying to do something similar. We

:28:04. > :28:08.will have to wait and see that Raikkonen has an awful lot of laps

:28:09. > :28:18.to do. And he is 1.2 seconds slower than Nico Rosberg. We are on Lap 50

:28:19. > :28:21.with Vettel on board. Ten laps remaining as KERS is under pressure

:28:22. > :28:25.from Fernando Alonso and still no way through for the Ferrari. Vettel

:28:26. > :28:28.absolutely in command here and despite having to cut his way

:28:29. > :28:34.through the traffic in the early stages, he has had no problems at

:28:35. > :28:38.all. Let's look and see the use of KERS here. Alonso has not gotten so

:28:39. > :28:41.close enough to make it past Daniel Ricciardo using up all his

:28:42. > :28:49.saying he will not do it in to Turn 3,

:28:50. > :28:49.saying he will not do it in to Turn there on the right of the screen so

:28:50. > :28:59.that allows him a boost of KERS there on the right of the screen so

:29:00. > :29:00.he leaves Turn 4 but they take away the graphic there. We don't know if

:29:01. > :29:08.you used it there because they took the graphic there. We don't know if

:29:09. > :29:10.going quite quickly at this stage, quite impressive with his lap pace

:29:11. > :29:14.bearing in mind he has done 36 on the medium compound tyre. There

:29:15. > :29:19.is no doubt that the Lotus cars are looking after the

:29:20. > :29:19.is no doubt that the Lotus cars are well as we have seen through the

:29:20. > :29:25.rest of the year. Similar tyres well as we have seen through the

:29:26. > :29:28.used in Germany, same type of compounds, different construction of

:29:29. > :29:33.one axle but they have a great race in Germany and hunted Vettel down in

:29:34. > :29:35.the end. I am not sure that they will be that kind of form because

:29:36. > :29:39.Rosberg is still looking strong himself and he is catching Raikkonen

:29:40. > :29:50.at the moment by about 1.5 seconds per lap. Across they go over the

:29:51. > :29:55.line. Maldonado is running in 13th and Bottas has dropped back a bit

:29:56. > :30:02.because he has been in the pits. Gutierrez has made another fast lap

:30:03. > :30:07.and Max Chilton is leading in the battle of the young teens. It looks

:30:08. > :30:12.like Raikkonen will try to go to the end. I think you will end up losing

:30:13. > :30:25.that position to Rosberg, Grosjean is only nine point six seconds

:30:26. > :30:28.behind. Village 's team-mates will be going head-to-head once more as

:30:29. > :30:33.we see just what the others are doing. We are on board with Nico

:30:34. > :30:39.Rosberg and he has now caught Kimi Raikkonen and is absolutely with

:30:40. > :30:41.him. Interestingly, Rob Smedley has just told Massa that they think that

:30:42. > :30:59.Kimi is going through to the end. Maybe it is training the battery

:31:00. > :31:10.from the car. It can be a sign. He will have a clean pass down into

:31:11. > :31:13.turn number four. Rosberg takes second place with that. Kimi

:31:14. > :31:19.Raikkonen, I wonder if he is trying to go all the way on this set of

:31:20. > :31:23.tyres. He has to be. I just ask that question to one of the Pirelli

:31:24. > :31:30.engineers. Can) get to the end of the race one those tyres? -- can

:31:31. > :31:41.Raikkonen. His response was, Mamma Mia! Very nice! On board, this was

:31:42. > :31:49.the view from Kimi Raikkonen. He makes the decision nights and early.

:31:50. > :31:56.-- nice and early. Soon he is due to be under pressure from his

:31:57. > :32:01.team-mate, Grosjean. If Raikkonen makes a pit stop now, he is going to

:32:02. > :32:04.go a long way down the order. He will come out in about eighth or

:32:05. > :32:13.ninth position. He is in big trouble, Raikkonen. The gap is down

:32:14. > :32:19.to 7.8 seconds. Grosjean is in great shape. It looks as though he might

:32:20. > :32:24.be on for another podium finish. In China a couple of years ago, he fell

:32:25. > :32:30.out of the points in the last couple of laps. He is not looking very

:32:31. > :32:35.healthy for his tyres. Grosjean, who is on a one-stop race, he came from

:32:36. > :32:41.17th place, let's not forget. He is trying to do 46 laps on his tyres.

:32:42. > :32:46.He is still lapping very quickly. So, impressive stuff from Romain

:32:47. > :32:54.Grosjean. Felipe Massa is still behind them. Hamilton is in sixth

:32:55. > :32:58.place. Perez is in seventh. Very much on target, Vettel, to winning

:32:59. > :33:05.the world championship. Another 25 points to add to his tally if he

:33:06. > :33:11.continues this way. Alonso is getting up alongside Ricciardo once

:33:12. > :33:14.again. That was down into turn three. He has worked out that he

:33:15. > :33:28.doesn't have the speed as he goes down into four to affect the pass.

:33:29. > :33:32.He is getting a straight as possible towards five. Is anybody going to

:33:33. > :33:37.make a late, late pit stop? Right now, it is looking as though they

:33:38. > :33:41.want to go to the end. Kimi Raikkonen is being caused by his

:33:42. > :33:50.team-mate, Romain Grosjean. -- is being caught. Grosjean is still

:33:51. > :33:55.taking chunks out of Kimi Raikkonen. 1.8 seconds faster in that last lap.

:33:56. > :34:04.He is at the end of the life of those tyres. If he stops, he's going

:34:05. > :34:11.to go way down. Hulkenberg, a late stop for his load -- soft tyre.

:34:12. > :34:17.Let's just see Nico Hulkenberg. He started on the soft tyre. He was

:34:18. > :34:21.trying to get to the end. But he has had to come in. That has dropped him

:34:22. > :34:31.out of the top ten. That will promote di Resta and Sutil. Got

:34:32. > :34:42.enough problems at it is, so keep going. He is trying to control his

:34:43. > :34:49.man. He wants to get the fastest laps. The likes of Hulkenberg, going

:34:50. > :34:54.out on a set of soft tyres, if it is a new set, he is likely to be faster

:34:55. > :34:59.than battle and maybe take the fastest lap of the race. There are

:35:00. > :35:06.no points for that. Exactly. Vettel just need to concentrate on his own

:35:07. > :35:11.race. It is like Singapore all over again. He had half a minute there.

:35:12. > :35:16.It looks as though he is going to have a similar margin on this

:35:17. > :35:20.occasion. The race for third and fourth is going to be getting very

:35:21. > :35:28.exciting soon as Raikkonen is being caught by Grosjean. This is for the

:35:29. > :35:32.last point this afternoon. You can see how close Alonso is. He has been

:35:33. > :35:37.trying hard to find their way past the Toro Rosso. Maybe his hope is to

:35:38. > :35:42.let him back up onto Adrian Sutil and see if it gets messy. Mixed

:35:43. > :35:51.emotions at Red Bull. It looks as if things are going their way. There is

:35:52. > :35:55.some tension there. Here comes the surgery Perez on Lewis Hamilton. At

:35:56. > :35:59.least, he is trying to. They are racing for sixth position. That is a

:36:00. > :36:03.much bigger improvement in form from McLaren. We haven't really seen

:36:04. > :36:10.McLaren go up against Mercedes much this year. This has got to be a

:36:11. > :36:20.boost for McLaren to seek Perez dicing with Hamilton. In

:36:21. > :36:26.questionably. -- unquestionably. He is finding his form late in the

:36:27. > :36:32.season. Hulkenberg is back in the pits. He has got a problem. He said

:36:33. > :36:42.on the radio, some skins or something. So it is a non-finish.

:36:43. > :36:46.That is a shame. It brings a run of four consecutive points to an end.

:36:47. > :36:53.Still his best sequence in Formula one. I am in the Sauber barrage, and

:36:54. > :37:00.I can say that will Hulkenberg made the last pit stop, the team was not

:37:01. > :37:06.ready. -- Sauber garage. He is now back in. The problem is something to

:37:07. > :37:11.do with the underneath of the car. Grosjean is about to go past

:37:12. > :37:16.Raikkonen! He goes around the outside but he does it off track. He

:37:17. > :37:20.does give up the place, look. He has learned his lesson from Hungary,

:37:21. > :37:29.when he went past Felipe Massa, and he has let Raikkonen back through.

:37:30. > :37:33.He was determined not to make it easy for Grosjean. He has managed to

:37:34. > :37:40.keep his tyres. That has come as a shock to Raikkonen. Remain Grosjean

:37:41. > :37:45.started in 17th place. I don't see how he can he -- keeping behind for

:37:46. > :37:57.three more laps. Behind them, Felipe Massa is catching. Raikkonen is

:37:58. > :38:01.moving out of the way because it is Felipe Massa that is the danger.

:38:02. > :38:07.They want to finish in front of the Ferrari. Loaders are catching

:38:08. > :38:09.Fernanda -- Ferrari and Mercedes. -- Lotus eye-catching Ferrari and

:38:10. > :38:22.Mercedes. He has done 49 laps on these tyres.

:38:23. > :38:28.The gamble seems to be working for Grosjean. They almost make contact.

:38:29. > :38:34.I don't think Grosjean can complain too much. Put yourself on the

:38:35. > :38:38.outside and you have to accept that the car on the outside can squeeze

:38:39. > :38:50.the line. Grosjean is very smart -- smart. He let's him back through. In

:38:51. > :38:59.giving up that place, Raikkonen lost a position to Massa as well. Look at

:39:00. > :39:02.Perez. This is for sixth position. Hamilton has reported that the tyres

:39:03. > :39:07.have given up on him. He is really fighting to try and stay in front of

:39:08. > :39:11.the McLaren. This wouldn't be McLaren's best finish of the year.

:39:12. > :39:16.They had a fifth place this year with Jenson Button in China. That

:39:17. > :39:22.was on a similar kind of tyre in China that we are using here.

:39:23. > :39:27.McLaren are definitely having one of their better weekends of the season.

:39:28. > :39:38.Look how slow Raikkonen is going. He is going to be taken by both these

:39:39. > :39:44.guys now. He has rolled the dice, he took the gamble of the tyres. There

:39:45. > :39:52.is nothing left. Lewis Hamilton gets passed Kimi Raikkonen. Or does he?

:39:53. > :39:57.No, he doesn't. He wants to get the DRS zone out of the three. This is

:39:58. > :40:02.strategic. The white line denotes where you get the activation in

:40:03. > :40:10.terms of the one second window. Now he will be able to activate his DRS.

:40:11. > :40:18.Here we go. Perez has gone past both of them! Good driving from surgery

:40:19. > :40:22.Perez. Raikkonen is still struggling on his tyres. Lewis Hamilton has run

:40:23. > :40:28.out of grip with his car. He has that got a bit of a charge going

:40:29. > :40:33.here. He is going to be on the outside, though. Sergio Perez has

:40:34. > :40:37.moved himself up into fifth place with that. He is managing McLaren's

:40:38. > :40:41.best result of the season so far if he can continue there. Brilliant

:40:42. > :40:46.driving from all three. It was comical, coming of turn one. Lewis

:40:47. > :40:51.didn't want to get in front. He would be a sitting duck as he ran

:40:52. > :40:57.down the long straight into turn four. Just listening to the radio,

:40:58. > :41:07.we don't always get all the radio. The team to Kimi Raikkonen were

:41:08. > :41:12.saying, get out of the bleep way. Up front, no doubt about who is leading

:41:13. > :41:18.this race and who is heading for victory once again. It is this guy,

:41:19. > :41:28.Sebastian Vettel. David, he has just done it's all -- also perfectly.

:41:29. > :41:34.Will he get out in front of di Resta? It is going to be close, the

:41:35. > :41:49.gap between the two of them. That will salvage eight or ninth place

:41:50. > :41:56.for Raikkonen. Well, here comes... He is goes you end up losing

:41:57. > :41:59.performance to Massa. It is Sebastian Vettel, coming on to the

:42:00. > :42:05.last lap. He has dominated this race. The gap is up to 26 seconds.

:42:06. > :42:14.It has come down slightly in the last lap or two. What a drive by

:42:15. > :42:18.Romain Grosjean, to come from 17th on the grid and to do it on one

:42:19. > :42:22.stop, which nobody thought was possible. We were talking to other

:42:23. > :42:27.teams this morning who said, no way could he do this on a one stop. Yet

:42:28. > :42:31.Lotus have managed it. Raikkonen has come out in front of di Resta. He is

:42:32. > :42:38.in seventh place. They are going to have both cars. Sebastian Vettel has

:42:39. > :42:43.once again beaten them all. A dominant display, whether he is your

:42:44. > :42:46.cup of tea or not. There is no question that he has used the

:42:47. > :42:58.machine at his disposal to full effect. Raikkonen is in front of di

:42:59. > :43:10.Resta and he has the good tyres on so he should be up to stay there. --

:43:11. > :43:15.be able to stay there. That is the margin of Red Bull and Sebastian

:43:16. > :43:22.Vettel's authority. It is going to be the biggest win ever here in

:43:23. > :43:29.India. As he crosses the line, Sebastian Vettel is the 2013 world

:43:30. > :43:33.champion! He takes three at three wins in India. An absolutely

:43:34. > :43:39.remarkable record. He has delivered in style. He has won it from the

:43:40. > :43:46.front. His 10th win of 2013, as well. Double the number of victories

:43:47. > :43:53.he had in 2012. Sebastian Vettel has achieved his goal once more. Second

:43:54. > :43:57.place, then, goes to Nico Rosberg. That was a solid drive. Just showing

:43:58. > :44:03.you the difference in pace between them, third-place going to remain

:44:04. > :44:06.Grosjean. That is going to be a fabulous performance as well.

:44:07. > :44:13.Grosjean finishes in third. From 17th. Perez matches McLaren's best

:44:14. > :44:19.result of the season in fifth, beating Lewis Hamilton. Sebastian

:44:20. > :44:26.Vettel, well, he was the youngest ever world champion three years ago,

:44:27. > :44:32.at 23. The boy wonder of 2010 has become the man for four seasons.

:44:33. > :44:37.Unbelievable what he has achieved. He has joined such a select group.

:44:38. > :44:41.TEAM RADIO: You have done it in style! Fantastic, you are a

:44:42. > :44:59.four-time world champion. You join the greats. Well done. And, of

:45:00. > :45:08.course... Unbelievable. Yes, yes! Good job, mate. Good job. He has

:45:09. > :45:13.done it, joining that fantastic group of drivers. They have all won

:45:14. > :45:18.four titles. Now that'll have done it. Looking at Red Bull, they have

:45:19. > :45:25.been in this situation before, but that relief but micro-wonderful

:45:26. > :45:29.scenes in the Red Bull pit garage. This is an Austrian owned team, but

:45:30. > :45:35.it is British engineering that has taken success. A Milton Keynes

:45:36. > :45:43.-based outfit, Red Bull, has taken the world by storm for the fourth

:45:44. > :45:47.year in a row. He executes some perfect doughnuts in a cloud of

:45:48. > :45:53.smoke on the start-finish line Stuarts might find him but I don't

:45:54. > :45:58.think he really cares at point! Here in India, it is surely a superhero

:45:59. > :46:02.because he has won every Grand Prix we have had here. We are definitely

:46:03. > :46:08.not coming back next season, some say we might be back in the future

:46:09. > :46:16.but he has taken all three wins in three years as he gives praise to

:46:17. > :46:21.his car. The whole team that has put that were in, Adrian Newey's genius

:46:22. > :46:27.and since the summer break, they have confounded the other teams.

:46:28. > :46:30.Mercedes have been on the pacesetting pole positions, winning

:46:31. > :46:38.races in the early part of the year but he had to tip the hat tip the

:46:39. > :46:42.hat, but we have to set the hat is off, he is not so good at throwing

:46:43. > :46:50.as he is as driving! Sebastian Vettel was -- will still make the

:46:51. > :46:55.most of that. The four titleholders who have won the title four times.

:46:56. > :47:02.Fangio was 45 when he won his fourth title, Alain Prost was 38, Michael

:47:03. > :47:05.Schumacher was 32 and he has done it at the age of 26. It is just

:47:06. > :47:11.unbelievable what he has achieved in these recent years. And lovely to

:47:12. > :47:16.see Sebastian making the most of this, running around, going to the

:47:17. > :47:23.grandstand, really enjoying the moment. He has been able to do this

:47:24. > :47:28.on that occasion. Lovely celebrations. Now coming over to the

:47:29. > :47:34.pits to celebrate with the team itself. Cameras at the ready to grab

:47:35. > :47:40.hold of him. He has conquered motorsport's most prestigious title

:47:41. > :47:48.more times than Jackie Stewart, more times than Nicky Lauber, Nelson

:47:49. > :47:52.Piquet, a triple champion and he is the only driver to win his first and

:47:53. > :47:58.fourth titles in one continuous sequence, that has never been done

:47:59. > :48:02.before. When drivers have won four in a row, it would not have included

:48:03. > :48:08.their first World Championship so he continues to break new records and

:48:09. > :48:09.there is Christian Horner and Adrian Newey to celebrate the moment with

:48:10. > :48:22.him. That is the one he wanted, the one

:48:23. > :48:26.that makes sure of the championship. And he's done it in India which has

:48:27. > :48:34.been such a great circuit for him. He didn't lead every lap on this

:48:35. > :48:37.occasion but Kimi Raikkonen snatched the last slap on the last occasion

:48:38. > :48:41.but it does not matter because he taken the title. Adrian Newey will

:48:42. > :48:44.pick up the constructors Trophy, they have won the Constructors'

:48:45. > :48:51.Championship and when you think in nine years of existence, Red Bull

:48:52. > :48:56.have one that on four occasions. It is a remarkable record for the team.

:48:57. > :49:01.Rosberg picking up the trophy for second place and the bad luck that

:49:02. > :49:05.seems to have afflicted him recently he has put behind him and Romain

:49:06. > :49:09.Grosjean picks up another third place, what a great sequence of

:49:10. > :49:12.races he is having at the moment. This guide has definitely

:49:13. > :49:15.established himself as one of the stars of Formula One, despite the

:49:16. > :49:38.difficult 2012. So to confirm today's race result,

:49:39. > :49:44.there is Sebastian Vettel with 25 points, Nico Rosberg and Romain

:49:45. > :49:48.Grosjean shed a podium, Felipe Massa was fourth, Sergio Perez a brilliant

:49:49. > :49:51.fit and Daniel Ricciardo the final point in the top ten. In terms of

:49:52. > :49:57.the Drivers' Championship, that belongs to Sebastian Vettel, it is

:49:58. > :50:01.his fourth world title in a row. Fernando Alonso second place, Kimi

:50:02. > :50:06.Raikkonen third but look at that, Paul Di Resta has made it into the

:50:07. > :50:09.top ten. In terms of the Constructors' Championship, Red Bull

:50:10. > :50:13.are champions yet again but look at the battle for second place,

:50:14. > :50:19.Mercedes leapfrog over Ferrari and that is still well and truly on.

:50:20. > :50:24.After all the PR commitments, Sebastian went down to his garage to

:50:25. > :50:29.celebrate and fantastic scenes in front of the Red Bull pit. All the

:50:30. > :50:30.media wanting a piece of him and celebrating and looking as happy as

:50:31. > :50:41.indeed he should be. And now let's hear from the main

:50:42. > :50:46.players in today's race. When you started off getting back all those

:50:47. > :50:54.years ago, did you allow yourself the dream of being Formula One world

:50:55. > :50:58.champion? It was way too big, my head was very small add my brain

:50:59. > :51:14.capacity was way too small at the time. It was crazy. I raced and when

:51:15. > :51:20.I started watching Formula One properly, there were guys like

:51:21. > :51:23.Jenson Button, Fernando already racing and even marked as well, and

:51:24. > :51:33.he scored his first point in his first race in the Minardi. I was

:51:34. > :51:43.like that watching it on the TV and my father, the time we spent early

:51:44. > :51:49.mornings so the dream was there but beyond... We did not even dare to

:51:50. > :51:55.dream about that. The best of the rest was the target and they

:51:56. > :52:00.achieved that with the my team. For once, a normal weekend where

:52:01. > :52:03.something went properly so second place is great. To be in front of

:52:04. > :52:07.Ferrari now in the constructors, that is our aim is that worked out

:52:08. > :52:11.really well and we had a really fast car as well so a really good step

:52:12. > :52:15.because I had a fast race car, it felt good. I nailed the set up so I

:52:16. > :52:19.was happy with that so together with the team I managed to nail it

:52:20. > :52:24.properly which is great. It all worked pretty well. It always pains

:52:25. > :52:27.a driver to say best of the rest but a word on Sebastian Vettel, he gets

:52:28. > :52:34.that fourth consecutive world title today. It is unbelievable. It is

:52:35. > :52:38.well-deserved. He deserves it, doing a great job and his team deserves

:52:39. > :52:41.it, they are doing a great job and it harmonises and work well

:52:42. > :52:48.together. They were unbeatable again this year. We need to up our game

:52:49. > :52:56.next year for closer times but then we are lacking consistency and we

:52:57. > :52:59.fell off the kerb a bit. The strategy did not work out this

:53:00. > :53:04.morning and then I said, on, guys we all agree to be brief today. Soft

:53:05. > :53:08.tyres better than what we thought at the beginning of the race, a few

:53:09. > :53:13.more laps which may have been the key at the end of the race but even

:53:14. > :53:18.though I think the base was good, the tyres were good, we added to

:53:19. > :53:25.what was on Friday and that was a good race. With my team-mates and

:53:26. > :53:31.with Gutierrez, but I got on the podium. I told the guys about that

:53:32. > :53:35.with the gearbox and then they thought it would clear but it looks

:53:36. > :53:40.like it came back very quickly. Were you disappointed to put the soft

:53:41. > :53:46.tyres on when you did? No, you have to protect against the safety car as

:53:47. > :53:51.well so it's... You've got to run them for a few laps which we did. If

:53:52. > :53:55.you put the primes on and go again, you are a bit exposed to the safety

:53:56. > :54:00.car. It is nice to put the primes on but very smelly if the safety car

:54:01. > :54:06.comes out so I still have a smile on my face I couldn't do any more

:54:07. > :54:10.today, that's it. Pretty good this weekend but it is good we got some

:54:11. > :54:16.points. You don't sound too happy, was it other than you expected? I

:54:17. > :54:22.finished sixth, so... Where did it go wrong? The pit stop, it was so

:54:23. > :54:27.hard to get past the Ferrari and I try to hang in there and get past

:54:28. > :54:32.but in doing so, destroyed the tyres. A bit unfortunate but we have

:54:33. > :54:37.got more races ahead. I was struggling a bit but when you lose

:54:38. > :54:44.three kilos of weight in the condition we are, it is a lot on

:54:45. > :54:54.your body. Three kilos? Yes, three kilos less than last race. Get the

:54:55. > :54:58.fluids in. The car was quick around here and it is a shame we could not

:54:59. > :55:02.get to cars in the points but that is the way it is sometimes. Where

:55:03. > :55:09.did you struggle out there? I got hit on the first lap which is quite

:55:10. > :55:14.hard in the side by Fernando, and got a puncture from it, I think. Is

:55:15. > :55:20.that when you came in early? Yes, and I was on the medium tyre which

:55:21. > :55:26.you need to run long so it destroyed that and put the option on, I think

:55:27. > :55:32.I had done two it stops by 16, bit like the last two races and it

:55:33. > :55:37.wasn't a very good afternoon, pretty much the same as Fernando's.

:55:38. > :55:42.Sebastian Vettel and making history and David he did it all rights

:55:43. > :55:46.today. An exceptional drive, he went down into the middle of the pack in

:55:47. > :55:50.the have to overtake to make the strategy worked. He worked his way

:55:51. > :55:53.forward to the front runners making their stop, he was still within a

:55:54. > :55:59.pit stop of them said this was a dominant display. Up there with

:56:00. > :56:06.Singapore. In his lifetime he will never forget India. The three races

:56:07. > :56:09.here, he has been the winner all three, pole position all three.

:56:10. > :56:14.Somewhere in the back of his mind he will think, what is my favourite

:56:15. > :56:18.track? He will think of India, I'll quite sure. It has been a treasured

:56:19. > :56:21.one. It is teamwork and read all when the fourth consecutive

:56:22. > :56:26.constructors' title, they will be thrilled with that. That is the

:56:27. > :56:30.backbone that has allowed him to be four time try the champion. Without

:56:31. > :56:33.the great team and car and clearly Adrian Newey and the management of

:56:34. > :56:37.Christian Horner, they have been able to create a group of people

:56:38. > :56:40.that are working in perfect harmony. The main challenge is what you have

:56:41. > :56:44.done four, how do you make it better? Can you do five? The rules

:56:45. > :56:48.are changing next year so we wait to see what it will involve their that

:56:49. > :56:52.there were other stars today in the race, Nico Rosberg was on the podium

:56:53. > :56:57.but what about Romain Grosjean coming from 17th to space by third?

:56:58. > :57:05.Without question driver of the day, Romain Grosjean past everyone and so

:57:06. > :57:10.bitterly disappointed and bad decision into qualifying bet he made

:57:11. > :57:14.good that mistake. Certainly did and we haven't finished the season yet,

:57:15. > :57:19.still three races to go. We will be back for all the highlights of Abu

:57:20. > :57:23.Dhabi next weekend for you. Can't wait for that. And still plenty to

:57:24. > :57:26.play for in the Constructors' Championship, a big fight going on

:57:27. > :57:30.there for second. We hope you enjoyed our coverage today. It was

:57:31. > :57:34.history in the making and it really belongs to Sebastian Vettel and read
