:00:17. > :00:21.all over for the British driver. Victory for Rosberg here in Austria.

:00:22. > :01:24.This is Formula One, race nine, Great Britain.

:01:25. > :01:28.British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The sun is shining and 120,000 fans

:01:29. > :01:33.are set to watch the spectacle unfold here today. It's the 50th

:01:34. > :01:37.race here at Silverstone, so big celebrations over the last four

:01:38. > :01:41.days. Vintage Formula One parades, rock concerts and the Red Arrows.

:01:42. > :01:49.Let's have a look at how the championship looks at the moment.

:01:50. > :01:55.Rosberg has a 29 point advantage over Hamilton, who could certainly

:01:56. > :02:00.do with his share of Lady luck right now. Ricciardo is best of the rest.

:02:01. > :02:05.Alonso heads the current world champion, Sebastian Vettel, and

:02:06. > :02:07.Jenson Button lies eighth. Mercedes dominate the constructors'

:02:08. > :02:15.championship. The battle between third and sixth is a close one.

:02:16. > :02:23.Marussia are on the board in ninth with two points. We have all the

:02:24. > :02:28.race action coming up for you in the second. First of all, here is the

:02:29. > :02:32.incredible story of qualifying. British summer Time was in full

:02:33. > :02:36.flow, rain and sunshine. It created problems for some big names.

:02:37. > :02:39.Williams locked out the front row in Austria but went out in Q1 here,

:02:40. > :02:43.leaving it late to set a time and then being caught out by the rain.

:02:44. > :02:48.Ferrari also got it wrong. Raikkonen was on track at the wrong time,

:02:49. > :02:51.Fernando Alonso spun on circuit. Marussia getting both cars into Q2

:02:52. > :02:57.meant they were the highest powered Ferrari team. Bianchi got the best

:02:58. > :03:01.ever position with 12, Chilton just behind. In Q3 it looked like

:03:02. > :03:04.Sebastian Vettel had been caught out, he didn't leave the garage

:03:05. > :03:09.whilst the track was dry. A big wrench or meant most cars were

:03:10. > :03:13.waiting in the pit lane and the Toro Rosso drivers called it a day. At

:03:14. > :03:16.that stage Lewis Hamilton was in pole position. He thought he'd done

:03:17. > :03:21.enough and let his team-mate, Nico Rosberg, through and aborted his own

:03:22. > :03:25.run. The final section of the track dried out faster than anyone would

:03:26. > :03:30.have thought. Hulkenberg went fastest in the last few seconds,

:03:31. > :03:33.then came Vettel and then Lewis Hamilton's worst nightmare, Rosberg

:03:34. > :03:37.took pole position, Hamilton was left shell-shocked in sixth. You are

:03:38. > :03:43.obviously incredibly disappointed, did you expect the circuit would dry

:03:44. > :03:48.out so fast? Obviously not, no. I don't really have anything to say to

:03:49. > :03:52.you. Together with my team, we made all the right course today. It was a

:03:53. > :03:55.great example of teamwork. It was nice to see in such a conjugated

:03:56. > :03:58.situation, because normally you can always find bits and pieces that

:03:59. > :04:06.went wrong but today we got it all right. Rosberg gets his first pole

:04:07. > :04:09.position of the season and the first at this track. Vettel is alongside,

:04:10. > :04:17.matching his best performance of the year. Button is third. Hulkenberg is

:04:18. > :04:22.for. Magnussen has the despondent Hamilton next to him. But expect a

:04:23. > :04:25.lightning start from the Mercedes. Perez and Ricciardo are on the

:04:26. > :04:31.fourth row, Toro Rosso rounds out the top ten. Grosjean in 11, Bianchi

:04:32. > :04:36.in 12, but Max Chilton takes five plates drop for a gearbox change,

:04:37. > :04:42.which means Sutil,, Alonso or move forward. This is where it gets

:04:43. > :04:46.complicated. Gutierrez has a ten place penalty but only dropped from

:04:47. > :04:51.14th to 19th, as he can't fall behind cars who didn't officially

:04:52. > :04:55.qualify. Maldonado was excluded for not being able to provide fuel

:04:56. > :05:00.sample, but he's allowed to start 20th, as both Caterham drivers

:05:01. > :05:05.didn't qualify in 107% of the cut-off time, so they start at the

:05:06. > :05:09.back the grid. Whether you are an avid fan, tuning in for the first

:05:10. > :05:12.time or revisiting the sport you used to follow, sit back and enjoy

:05:13. > :05:25.the ride as the 50th Grand Prix at Silverstone is about to start.

:05:26. > :05:30.Vettel has dropped to fourth position already, dread. For the Red

:05:31. > :05:34.Bull. He is under attack from Hamilton.

:05:35. > :05:44.Hamilton already, as he's coming back at him. Hamilton now charging

:05:45. > :05:48.with Vettel still behind him. Hulkenberg closing out. Nico Rosberg

:05:49. > :05:55.getting away in front, Jenson Button in second. Then it's Magnussen in

:05:56. > :06:02.third and already Hamilton... It's Kimi Raikkonen! Other cars involved

:06:03. > :06:06.as well. Williams involved as well. Oh, my goodness, I think it was

:06:07. > :06:14.Felipe Massa and the safety car. It is. He's having a tough time. That

:06:15. > :06:17.car looks very badly damaged. He obviously didn't see the tyre that

:06:18. > :06:23.has been removed from the Ferrari on the impact. Damage to the rear of

:06:24. > :06:27.the car, heavy shunt on the front. You can see the crash structure at

:06:28. > :06:29.the front of the car has taken a big hit. Kimi is still in the car but

:06:30. > :06:35.there is some movement. He's starting to get out. You can see the

:06:36. > :06:43.left rear damage on the Williams. It's a long way back. The safety car

:06:44. > :06:48.is on track. On the opening lap of a Grand Prix, the medical car is just

:06:49. > :06:53.behind the field. It's great to see Kimi out but he's limping. Felipe

:06:54. > :07:00.Massa tries to get this car back. TEAM RADIO: Felipe, are you OK?

:07:01. > :07:04.Trying to get some feedback from the team. The red flag, the race has

:07:05. > :07:11.been completely stopped. Probably too much debris out them to feel

:07:12. > :07:16.they can clean it up safely. He gets very wide coming up onto the

:07:17. > :07:19.Wellington Straight. The car snaps and he has the accident all on his

:07:20. > :07:25.own. The avoiding action there of the Williams, Massa did a great job

:07:26. > :07:26.to avoid a full on impact with the side of Raikkonen.

:07:27. > :07:37.Raikkonen has come back onto the circuit and spun, had his own

:07:38. > :07:43.accident and then watch matter. Locks it up, throws the car into the

:07:44. > :07:47.spin. Great avoiding action from Massa. That could have been so much

:07:48. > :07:53.worse, a T-bone accident, that's always the most frightening. It just

:07:54. > :07:58.clicks on him completely. It snaps as he comes back across the

:07:59. > :08:00.circuit, over the artificial grass. You see the caterer there took a hit

:08:01. > :08:13.on the nose. That was Kobayashi. We've seen that before... He hits

:08:14. > :08:19.the bumper. Then a big hit into the barrier as it comes out to allow for

:08:20. > :08:23.the bridge. Massa, great stuff in trying to avoid. It's good to see

:08:24. > :08:28.Kimi is out of the car. But that was a frightening accident, he hit the

:08:29. > :08:31.barrier very hard indeed. The race has been stopped and cars have been

:08:32. > :08:35.brought back to the grid. Williams will analyse the damage on the back

:08:36. > :08:40.of Felipe Massa's car. Let's take another look at the start of the

:08:41. > :08:45.race. A really horrible. For Sebastian Vettel. He lost two

:08:46. > :08:52.positions to the McLarens. Coming under pressure from Lewis Hamilton.

:08:53. > :08:57.There was contact, we missed that in the excitement. That was Perez in

:08:58. > :09:03.the Force India. You can see the slow starting Lotus as well. Some

:09:04. > :09:06.avoiding action was being made by the two Ferraris getting pinched

:09:07. > :09:11.through the first corner. There was that contact between Perez, he was

:09:12. > :09:15.nursed into that half spin. Lets watch the start from Lewis

:09:16. > :09:16.Hamilton's point of view. Terrible start the Hulkenberg, he gets

:09:17. > :09:30.straight past the Force India. He thinks about going round the

:09:31. > :09:33.outside, he's going to wait and see where Vettel breaks. There was

:09:34. > :09:38.contact there from Vettel. Hamilton, one of the toughest racers out

:09:39. > :09:44.there, keeps position. Losing a bit of drive and gap to the McLaren in

:09:45. > :09:49.front. Lapped two out of the British Grand Prix. After an hour's delay,

:09:50. > :09:54.Nico Rosberg has already launched himself away. He has timed it

:09:55. > :09:56.beautifully. Pulling away very quickly from Jenson Button. Button

:09:57. > :09:59.beautifully. Pulling away very really didn't see that coming.

:10:00. > :10:04.Rosberg has opened up a big, healthy gap. Hamilton will hate to see that

:10:05. > :10:06.because he wants to be as close as possible

:10:07. > :10:14.because he wants to be as close as a great restart.

:10:15. > :10:21.Great stuff from Rosberg. He's looked closely and done his

:10:22. > :10:25.research. Caught them napping, given themselves a breathing zone already

:10:26. > :10:31.will stop Hamilton tries to get himself into a position early on to

:10:32. > :10:35.get past. We saw in the previous race that he wasn't particularly

:10:36. > :10:38.close coming down the straight into Brooklands, coming out just to show

:10:39. > :10:46.himself. Did he actually continue to place a move down the back? Anne

:10:47. > :10:51.Bottas has taken a place from Kvyat. Did he manage to make that has an

:10:52. > :10:57.Gutierrez? He's going to have a go down towards copse corner shortly.

:10:58. > :11:00.The crowds will be cheering him on. Magnussen isn't going to give him

:11:01. > :11:06.the space. Hamilton takes the place. Magnussen tried to do the

:11:07. > :11:09.last of the late breakers but he did that with the man who is one of the

:11:10. > :11:16.last of the late breakers. It didn't work out. A massive cheer has gone

:11:17. > :11:18.up all around Silverstone. The big screen showing everyone what

:11:19. > :11:23.Hamilton has done, he's moved up into third. Just Jenson Button

:11:24. > :11:28.between Hamilton and the race leader, Rosberg. Our task is

:11:29. > :11:33.overtaking, he's got past Ricciardo. Bottas charging that

:11:34. > :11:38.Mercedes engine, once again helping the Williams. As we saw in Australia

:11:39. > :11:44.when Bottas moved up from 50 to finish fifth, he loves to overtake.

:11:45. > :11:48.He does indeed. Healthy top speed advantage even without the on that

:11:49. > :11:50.He does indeed. Healthy top speed Red Bull. Fernando Alonso didn't

:11:51. > :11:57.manage to get that pass an Gutierrez. He's right in his

:11:58. > :12:00.gearbox, will he an attempt down into the village corner? He's in

:12:01. > :12:09.12th place at the moment. Here comes Hamilton already. Look

:12:10. > :12:13.how quickly he is catching Jenson Button will stop hand over fist.

:12:14. > :12:18.Lewis Hamilton closing up to the second-place car. The McLaren of

:12:19. > :12:21.Jenson Button, the two drivers go side-by-side, Hamilton dives down

:12:22. > :12:25.the inside and take second place from Jenson Button. Another huge

:12:26. > :12:29.cheer goes up all around the Silverstone is good. Hamilton is

:12:30. > :12:33.into second place already. You could almost hear the side from Rosberg

:12:34. > :12:39.Vase cockpit over the cheer of the cloud, as he would have realised

:12:40. > :12:44.Hamilton is now in second place. Rosberg has a four second advantage

:12:45. > :12:47.over his team-mate at the moment. But clearly, Lewis Hamilton has got

:12:48. > :12:53.his head down and going for it. Let's see what happened to Alonso

:12:54. > :12:54.getting past Gutierrez. Dived down the inside into Brooklands. A fairly

:12:55. > :13:03.straightforward pass. Bianchi in front of him, something

:13:04. > :13:11.you don't normally see. A late apex in Brooklands will stop Hamilton

:13:12. > :13:15.reasoning that. -- realising that. We will see more overtaking

:13:16. > :13:19.opportunities on the two straights where DRS is used. One of those is

:13:20. > :13:21.coming up. Alonso may take advantage of trying to get past the Toro

:13:22. > :13:34.Rosso. Kvyat ghost offensive down the

:13:35. > :13:35.inside into Brooklands. -- goes offensive. Will he be able

:13:36. > :13:42.inside into Brooklands. -- goes offensive. Will to come back and get

:13:43. > :13:47.the acceleration down? He has. He set that up from three corners

:13:48. > :13:52.beforehand. Alonso moves up to ninth. Kvyat has the look but it's

:13:53. > :14:07.all over. It's all part of the learning experience for Daniel

:14:08. > :14:11.Coffey at. -- Daniil Kvyat. So Magnussen leading that group in

:14:12. > :14:17.fourth. Behind him Sebastian Vettel. And this is Nico Hulkenberg under

:14:18. > :14:22.attack, he tries to do a Mansell, but he was forced around the

:14:23. > :14:28.outside. Fernando Alonso is getting the opportunity. Alonso around the

:14:29. > :14:34.outside of the Red Bull and he does it. What a brilliant move. That is

:14:35. > :14:41.so tough, it is so narrow on that section. Fantastic pass. One of the

:14:42. > :14:47.more difficult places to overtake at low speed and it is easy for the guy

:14:48. > :14:52.in front to lean on you and push you on to the grass. Ricardo getting a

:14:53. > :15:03.lesson from Alonso, but it was because he was so busy trying to get

:15:04. > :15:08.past Nico Hulkenberg. Already you can see Fernando Alonso struggling,

:15:09. > :15:14.dropping back a bit. What is happening up front? Rosberg is

:15:15. > :15:19.leading by 5.5 seconds and he put in a lap that was quicker than Lewis

:15:20. > :15:29.Hamilton and the last lap they have both done exactly the same lap time.

:15:30. > :15:32.Interestingly Alonso's under both done exactly the same lap time.

:15:33. > :15:35.investigation for being out of grid position on the original start. You

:15:36. > :15:40.can see that on the screen. As he goes on the attack. Was he out of

:15:41. > :15:45.position? Fernando Alonso outside Nico Hulkenberg and Nico Hulkenberg

:15:46. > :15:48.still has the inside line, but Alonso squeezes in front and takes

:15:49. > :15:54.the place and moves into seventh. But is there a question mark about

:15:55. > :16:00.his original start on the grid? Did he put the car in the wrong place.

:16:01. > :16:06.Look at the boxes that are clearly marked as he is doing his tyre

:16:07. > :16:14.warming, he goes beyond and he realises he is way beyond. A rare

:16:15. > :16:22.mistake from Fernando. Ricardo with a chance. As we go on board, you see

:16:23. > :16:26.he has not got the momentum. You can see the speed of the Force India,

:16:27. > :16:33.even in the slip stream, it is able to pull away from the Red Bull. The

:16:34. > :16:38.Force India has gone wide. That would have been a loss of lap time

:16:39. > :16:43.if it was qualifying. He will get away with that in this situation

:16:44. > :16:47.once or twice, but after that you expect him to get a call from the

:16:48. > :16:52.stewards telling him any further using of the burn off areas he will

:16:53. > :16:59.have to give up the position. Nico Hulkenberg goes to the inside and we

:17:00. > :17:05.are keeping an eye on Bottas. He is around the outside. Daniel Ricciardo

:17:06. > :17:10.has done it. Finding just a little space in the end. That has moved him

:17:11. > :17:19.into eighth position. Hard work to get past Nico Hulkenberg. It didn't

:17:20. > :17:24.take him as long as id did in Austria. Jules Bianchi is holding on

:17:25. > :17:28.to 12th place. And problems for Esteban Gutierrez. That is with

:17:29. > :17:36.Pastor Maldonado and Grosjean. They're all bunched together. He has

:17:37. > :17:40.locked up and he has got damage. There must have been contact. The

:17:41. > :17:47.front right is down. He has gone straight off. No air in that front

:17:48. > :17:51.tyre. Oh dear, oh dear. Damage to the front wing. If he is beached

:17:52. > :17:58.there, will we need another safety car to get that car removed. This is

:17:59. > :18:08.down into braking. Does he try and dive down the inside? He does. The

:18:09. > :18:17.gap is closing, he punting churs his tyre -- punctures his tyre and that

:18:18. > :18:23.was pretty shoddy driving. Are you OK sh.? The car is not OK and he is

:18:24. > :18:31.off in the gravel. His poor season goes from worst to worse. Pastor

:18:32. > :18:37.Maldonado goes flying around the outside. This is not bumper racing.

:18:38. > :18:41.The yellow flag out at the moment. Because of the car that is in the

:18:42. > :18:46.gravel track. But no sign of the safety car yet. So Sebastian Vettel

:18:47. > :18:53.into the pits for his first stop of the afternoon after the red flag and

:18:54. > :19:00.the restart. He goes away. 2.9 seconds. Sebastian Vettel will come

:19:01. > :19:05.out just ahead I think of a group of traffic. That is Adrian Sutil going

:19:06. > :19:12.through. Behind is Bianchi, who is hanging on to 12th. They have got

:19:13. > :19:16.the digger lifting that Sauber out of the way. They feel the yellow

:19:17. > :19:22.flag is sufficient. It is far enough off track with the yellow zone, it

:19:23. > :19:28.is unlikely that somebody else will end up there. Be aware fuel is to

:19:29. > :19:34.target, but you do not have excess. We are just safe at the moment.

:19:35. > :19:40.Rosberg having to think about that. This is not as demanding as some

:19:41. > :19:46.circuits concerning fuel, and we have been told a five-second

:19:47. > :19:50.opinionty -- penalty for Fernando Alonso. It has been confirmed. He

:19:51. > :19:54.was out of grid position and Fernando Alonso is now in sixth and

:19:55. > :19:59.will have to do a drive through. He has had a drive through here in the

:20:00. > :20:05.past at Silverstone when he lost a good result. Bottas making a move on

:20:06. > :20:12.Magnussen. I think he has completed it. That brings Bottas up into

:20:13. > :20:18.fourth position. Williams have had a horrible weekend, can Valtteri

:20:19. > :20:27.Bottas reclaim some honour? Driving well at the moment, David. He is, a

:20:28. > :20:36.tidy race. Finding his way through. He has kept it clean and using the

:20:37. > :20:41.advantage of what is a well-performing Williams car. It is

:20:42. > :20:47.critical. Copy that, watch the track limits in turn 9. So Nico Hulkenberg

:20:48. > :20:54.struggling for grip and he is being told, well just watch for running

:20:55. > :20:59.out of road. He said it has a lot of understeer, so it is probably hard

:21:00. > :21:07.to keep it within the white lines. The wind will be affecting him. At

:21:08. > :21:12.those high speed corners. We are watching Jules Bianchi and Pastor

:21:13. > :21:17.Maldonado and Sergio Perez and Bianchi has been pushed down the

:21:18. > :21:22.order and he is in 15th. Fernando Alonso on Magnussen. He is side by

:21:23. > :21:29.side and I think he has done it and he is through. Fernando Alonso takes

:21:30. > :21:37.another place. That was an attacking dive. Sebastian Vettel also making a

:21:38. > :21:42.move. I think that was on... Let's look at that. I think it might have

:21:43. > :21:48.been on his team mate. Daniel Ricciardo has come into the pit.

:21:49. > :21:52.Maybe he knew he was coming in. It is showing here on the tracker.

:21:53. > :21:57.There is Daniel Ricciardo. He has made his pit stop. It is a later pit

:21:58. > :22:03.stop than his team mate. He goes out on the hard compound tyre I believe.

:22:04. > :22:09.No, let's just see, he was on the hard tyre. He goes on to the medium

:22:10. > :22:14.compound tyre. He is now on the favoured tyre. Daniel Ricciardo

:22:15. > :22:19.rejoins in tenth. He is behind Adrian Sutil and ahead of Jean-Eric

:22:20. > :22:22.Vergne. The incident involving Pastor Maldonado and Esteban

:22:23. > :22:29.Gutierrez will be investigated after the race we are being told, that

:22:30. > :22:34.collision we saw, with a bit of air-borne flying from Pastor

:22:35. > :22:39.Maldonado. Rosberg leads by 3.8 seconds from Lewis Hamilton. Ham

:22:40. > :22:44.taking a further half a second out of him on this lap. The gap would be

:22:45. > :22:48.down to just a bit over three seconds. That is a slow lap from

:22:49. > :22:52.Rosberg. Lewis Hamilton does the fastest lap of the race.

:22:53. > :22:57.Rosberg. Lewis Hamilton does the Vettel ahead on a two-stop. So let's

:22:58. > :23:06.settle down and try and make this one work. Side by side Bottas and

:23:07. > :23:09.Jenson Button. He has got himself up into third, getting past Jenson

:23:10. > :23:14.Button, who fought as hard as he could, but he is aware of not losing

:23:15. > :23:21.too much time and still scoring decent points. Not comparable the

:23:22. > :23:27.two cars. Button the last time was seven tenth slower than Bo us the.

:23:28. > :23:32.-- Bottas. He can only race with the car he has got. Bottas up into

:23:33. > :23:42.third, having started 14th. Here is how he did it. Around the outside

:23:43. > :23:47.and then he loves that outside line. He has. Jenson Button could have let

:23:48. > :23:53.the car run wide and put him under pressure. But in the end lets him do

:23:54. > :23:58.-- lets him go. Nico Rosberg is being told he is being hunted down

:23:59. > :24:03.by his team mate. Lewis Hamilton has taken an extra tenth out of him

:24:04. > :24:09.another tenth of a second in the second sector. Lewis, you're the

:24:10. > :24:14.fastest man on track. So push hard now Nico. It won't be long. We are

:24:15. > :24:21.ready for the pit stop. Is he coming this lap. It sounds like it might be

:24:22. > :24:26.one more. This is where he has to keep his cool. He will be aware that

:24:27. > :24:32.Lewis Hamilton is going more quickly. Lewis Hamilton takes nearly

:24:33. > :24:35.four tenth of a second. The gap under three seconds. Lewis Hamilton

:24:36. > :24:40.on the charge as we look at Daniel Ricciardo making the move on Adrian

:24:41. > :24:46.Sutil. This was for eighth, ninth place a moment ago. Adrian Sutil in

:24:47. > :24:54.tenth. But Sauber have yet to score any points this year. Lewis three

:24:55. > :24:58.tenth faster. It is hammer time! Nico Rosberg comes into the pits.

:24:59. > :25:02.The race leader comes in and Lewis Hamilton comes through final

:25:03. > :25:06.quarter. He has got to push like mad now. It is a real opportunity to

:25:07. > :25:11.further close the gap on Nico Rosberg. Nico Rosberg in and let's

:25:12. > :25:16.whach the - ewatch the pit stop. Here the team are tested. Can they

:25:17. > :25:22.keep it quick and smooth? Yes, they can. That was beautiful work. 2.7

:25:23. > :25:28.seconds for Nico Rosberg. A lot of clean race track for him to rejoin.

:25:29. > :25:37.Bottas in third is just coming through the break --braking zone.

:25:38. > :25:41.Rosberg right into clean air. Fernando Alonso now begins to close

:25:42. > :25:47.up on Jenson Button. He will have a look. But no, he locks out that left

:25:48. > :25:53.front. But won't make it easy for him. As they come through now. It

:25:54. > :25:59.could be a chance to get the run. Look how tightly they hugs. A gear

:26:00. > :26:05.box problem. Gear box problem on the down shift says Rosberg. Rosberg has

:26:06. > :26:08.not yet had a non-finish this year. The reliability has been all been on

:26:09. > :26:13.his side of the garage. It is Lewis Hamilton that has had the problems.

:26:14. > :26:19.Could this be the first inkling that Rosberg has a mechanical problem? He

:26:20. > :26:23.has just done a good middle sector. So no evidence yet that it is

:26:24. > :26:32.slowing him down. Lewis Hamilton again staying out of it and getting

:26:33. > :26:40.closer to Chilton ahead of him. It would be, well there is a good

:26:41. > :26:44.indication, Rosberg on the fresher tyres 38.6. Lewis Hamilton has found

:26:45. > :26:49.his way past Chilton. It would be interesting to see if that cost him

:26:50. > :26:53.any time. It is a great run by Lewis Hamilton and he could be building a

:26:54. > :26:58.real challenge for the race win. But we are on different strategies. We

:26:59. > :27:02.are continuing to look at the problem, Nico, no information at the

:27:03. > :27:07.moment. It is still not slowing him down too much. As we can see from

:27:08. > :27:12.our times. On board with Daniel Ricciardo. He is in ninth and

:27:13. > :27:16.chasing Nico Hulkenberg again. Both of them of course were battling

:27:17. > :27:21.earlier on, but Daniel Ricciardo has made a pit stop and Huck hub has

:27:22. > :27:26.stayed out -- Nico Hulkenberg has stayed out. Force India like to go

:27:27. > :27:33.deep in to the race. Perhaps they want to make it a one-stop race.

:27:34. > :27:36.Look at the Force India is struggling for grip compared to the

:27:37. > :27:42.Red Bull. I think it would be easier for Daniel Ricciardo to get past on

:27:43. > :27:49.fresher tyres. He uses the DRS and this time it is ease groer take the

:27:50. > :27:53.position and that -- easier to take the position and that takes him

:27:54. > :27:59.past. Lewis Hamilton still staying out. A real contrast in strategy

:28:00. > :28:03.between the two Mercedes team mates in terms of how long they're going.

:28:04. > :28:11.Let's take another look at this, David. Well slip stream, DRS,

:28:12. > :28:15.overtake. Very simple. He would like it if it was always like that. It

:28:16. > :28:19.looks as though Lewis Hamilton will be coming in on this lap. And the

:28:20. > :28:24.hard tyres being prepared for Lewis Hamilton. So using the different

:28:25. > :28:29.tyre here, he may well go for a short stint perhaps on the harder

:28:30. > :28:36.tyre. Or is he going for the one-stop and going through to the

:28:37. > :28:45.end. When Rosberg made the stop and came out 16.2 seconds behind Lewis

:28:46. > :28:49.Hamilton. Oh it is a slow stop. 4.1 seconds. He may well try to get to

:28:50. > :28:54.the end of the race on this set of tyres now. 25 laps. We are almost at

:28:55. > :29:00.half distance. Rosberg going through followed by the Marussia. If he is

:29:01. > :29:06.doing one stop, when Rosberg makes his next stop. It is all about the

:29:07. > :29:10.gap between them. Rosberg has got to continue to push. There is no doubt

:29:11. > :29:16.the tyres should do it on wear. They won't wear out before the end. Where

:29:17. > :29:23.was the delay? Was it the right rear? Right rear. Took a bit of time

:29:24. > :29:29.there to try and work out. Or left rear. Depends which way you're

:29:30. > :29:35.looking! So Lewis Hamilton has rejoined and he is in second on the

:29:36. > :29:45.harder compound tyre and they're on different strategies. The last two

:29:46. > :29:52.laps. Understood. Doing a great job. Telling tales on Alonso. Yes. You

:29:53. > :30:09.have got to try and send a message and defend your corner. A sneaky

:30:10. > :30:16.move. He saw the door open. Magnussen, he was very slow of the

:30:17. > :30:22.acceleration there. A bit of a difficult moment for Magnussen, who

:30:23. > :30:26.drops down to seventh place. That is in Brooklands. Magnussen a bit wide.

:30:27. > :30:29.drops down to seventh place. That is I don't suspect he thought it would

:30:30. > :30:30.happen in the middle of the corner. He was probably setting it up for

:30:31. > :30:44.the run out TEAM RADIO: Don't worry about the

:30:45. > :30:49.pit stops, guys. Let's get a good one next one. That implies he's not

:30:50. > :30:52.going all the way. Let's wait and see exactly what they decide to do

:30:53. > :30:59.here. It will depend a bit on the performance of the car over these

:31:00. > :31:06.next few laps. Ferrari preparing for Alonso. He comes in after chasing

:31:07. > :31:11.Button full lap after lap. But has stayed out there. There are

:31:12. > :31:14.brand-new medium tyres to go on. Ferrari ran the hard tyre at the

:31:15. > :31:19.beginning of the Grand Prix. It's horribly slow will stop the five

:31:20. > :31:23.second penalty there, that's why they couldn't touch the car. That

:31:24. > :31:30.was for him being out of position on the grid. He's lost time as a result

:31:31. > :31:35.of the penalty. But he now on a pretty good tyre. Hulkenberg has

:31:36. > :31:40.just gone through. May be able to get to the end on this tyre. He may

:31:41. > :31:48.be struggling in the last few laps but it is possible.

:31:49. > :31:51.He made an error, followed the car in front and was out of position by

:31:52. > :31:59.half a car length. They weren't allowed to touch the

:32:00. > :32:04.car for five seconds. There's another message come up on our

:32:05. > :32:07.screens that he's been given a black and white flag, Alonso. That's

:32:08. > :32:09.presumably for exceeding track limits too often. If he does it

:32:10. > :32:20.again, he will get another penalty. Hulkenberg ahead. He's got a good

:32:21. > :32:28.exit but not quite enough... Or is it? He gets past the Force India.

:32:29. > :32:32.That brings Alonso back up into eighth place. Again, making the

:32:33. > :32:35.moves through the field as quickly as possible. Force India didn't have

:32:36. > :32:40.a particularly fast car here on Friday when they did their simulated

:32:41. > :32:45.race run. They've done a lot of laps on those tyres, he's yet to come

:32:46. > :32:49.into the pits. Hulkenberg doing what Magnussen did earlier in the race,

:32:50. > :32:54.once he realised the momentum was with the Ferrari he backed out of

:32:55. > :32:58.it. It saved him running off the circuit. Hamilton took nine tenths

:32:59. > :33:04.of a second out of Rosberg last lap around. Magnussen has come into the

:33:05. > :33:10.pits for McLaren. This presumably will be to go on to the hard tyre.

:33:11. > :33:13.He does. This presumably also is a one-stop race. That is his stock

:33:14. > :33:17.made, now he needs to keep these tyres alive, which you should be

:33:18. > :33:24.able to do fairly straightforwardly, as he rejoins the fray again.

:33:25. > :33:29.Magnussen pulling out behind Alonso. Magnussen out in eighth position.

:33:30. > :33:33.Hamilton just eating up the lap time again. He's on to be a second

:33:34. > :33:37.quicker than Rosberg. Button, the gap to Vettel was down to 1.1

:33:38. > :33:42.seconds. He will be under pressure soon. He must be feeling the

:33:43. > :33:46.pressure a bit now, as Hamilton continues to close the gap. It was

:33:47. > :33:52.four seconds, it's much less than that on this lap. 1.9, he took over

:33:53. > :33:59.two seconds out of his team-mate on just one lap. Nico Rosberg with a

:34:00. > :34:03.bit of traffic to deal with. Not just traffic, he's clearly got a

:34:04. > :34:10.problem. Look at his hand on the wheel.

:34:11. > :34:15.TEAM RADIO: Consider slowing me down to get me to the finish line.

:34:16. > :34:21.Hamilton takes the lead again from Rosberg. He leads the British Grand

:34:22. > :34:25.Prix with his team-mate in trouble. Stuck in fifth gear. Hamilton is in

:34:26. > :34:31.front. His big rival is in trouble here. Poor reliability has afflicted

:34:32. > :34:36.Hamilton a couple of times this year. It seems to be Nico Rosberg

:34:37. > :34:41.Vase turn here at the British Grand Prix. Remember, a 29 point lead

:34:42. > :34:45.coming into this race for Rosberg. If he fails to finish, and he may

:34:46. > :34:49.still get some points, Button in by the way, but if he failed to finish

:34:50. > :34:55.the gap would come down to just four points between Rosberg and Hamilton,

:34:56. > :35:01.and reignite Hamilton's hopes for the 2014 title. Button in for his

:35:02. > :35:07.one and presumably only stop of this race. He's on the hard tyre. Rosberg

:35:08. > :35:14.in big trouble. Trying to get the gear. It is too high speed section

:35:15. > :35:17.for him to drive through there with the wounded car. Sensibly pulls off

:35:18. > :35:21.onto the grass while he tries to work on this issue, to try to get

:35:22. > :35:28.this car back to the pits. It doesn't want to work. Nico I

:35:29. > :35:34.understand your frustration. TEAM RADIO: Having problems with the

:35:35. > :35:41.gearbox, please advise. Wii menu ten to eight, leave it in eighth. That

:35:42. > :35:45.message doesn't seem to be working. Last year, he inherited the lead

:35:46. > :35:50.from Sebastian Vettel when his gearbox broke. This time, Nico

:35:51. > :35:51.from Sebastian Vettel when his Rosberg is not going to take

:35:52. > :35:56.back-to-back victories at Silverstone. It has all gone wrong.

:35:57. > :36:00.We've also been denied a race which is sad, because Hamilton was on such

:36:01. > :36:04.a charge, we could have had a brilliant climax to this Grand Prix.

:36:05. > :36:12.Sadly, Rosberg is out and Hamilton now has it all to himself, as long

:36:13. > :36:20.as he has reliability. He has pulled off, that's the safest thing to do.

:36:21. > :36:31.I didn't see whether he was behind the barrier. Listen to this. The

:36:32. > :36:38.problem was on the downshift into the village corner. He did well to

:36:39. > :36:42.get it from there all the way round the circuit. Hamilton was able to

:36:43. > :36:45.drive past as he came through The Loop and onto the Wellington

:36:46. > :36:49.Straight. Almost the same place Hamilton made him go through in

:36:50. > :36:54.qualifying, Rosberg went on to take pole. This time it is reversed.

:36:55. > :36:59.Hamilton takes the lead of the Grand Prix, to the delight of the fans.

:37:00. > :37:10.Interesting how Mercedes were so stronger by ability wise...

:37:11. > :37:15.TEAM RADIO: Nico has had to stop. Nico Rosberg climbing out of the car

:37:16. > :37:19.now. His hopes up back-to-back victories over here at Silverstone.

:37:20. > :37:24.His lead in the championship will be massively reduced if Hamilton

:37:25. > :37:30.continues where he is right now. TEAM RADIO: Vettel is on the old

:37:31. > :37:34.used option, he needs to stop again. In reality, we are still P2, so keep

:37:35. > :37:38.your head down and wait until you get to the end. Information

:37:39. > :37:42.therefore Bottas. Don't worry too much about the fact that Vettel is

:37:43. > :37:47.that the fact that Vettel is up ahead of you once more. We are

:37:48. > :37:50.expecting Ricciardo to stop as well. That will drop the Red Bulls into

:37:51. > :37:56.the clutch is potentially of McLaren. Alonso was just under three

:37:57. > :38:00.seconds behind Button at the moment, not as close as he was in the

:38:01. > :38:05.earlier stages of the Grand Prix. We could once again see that rivalry

:38:06. > :38:10.renewed between Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso. Nico Rosberg

:38:11. > :38:13.returns to the pits. It's all over for him today, no points to be

:38:14. > :38:18.scored from the British Grand Prix on this occasion.

:38:19. > :38:24.The Williams on for a great result if they can hold it all together.

:38:25. > :38:29.What a pick me up that would be. Suzi Wolf, in the middle of the shot

:38:30. > :38:33.there, looking so delighted for Bottas. That was the car she drove

:38:34. > :38:37.on Friday morning. It only lasted four laps before the engine let go,

:38:38. > :38:42.but right now that car is going extremely well. He is in second

:38:43. > :38:46.position. Into the pits comes Vettel. The final stop for him.

:38:47. > :38:51.Where will this bring him back out? He will be around Button and Alonso

:38:52. > :38:56.territory, which could give us a pretty interesting race. Not quite

:38:57. > :39:02.as quick a stop. Button is going ahead. Alonso and Magnussen are...

:39:03. > :39:08.He's coming out pretty close with Alonso and Magnussen. Comes out just

:39:09. > :39:16.ahead of Alonso. Look at Alonso going on the attack. Magnussen

:39:17. > :39:24.trying to take full advantage. Vettel up against Fernando Alonso,

:39:25. > :39:30.two of the greats of Formula One. Alonso is honing in like a missile.

:39:31. > :39:36.He's going to try and go round the outside but Vettel holds the line on

:39:37. > :39:42.Magnussen. Alonso left the door wide open again but Magnussen didn't

:39:43. > :39:46.capitalise on that. Alonso always so aware of but only where he is but

:39:47. > :39:53.where other drivers. Here comes Alonso. Clever stuff by Vettel. He

:39:54. > :39:58.turns it ahead. Alonso gets past the Red Bull. Magnussen wasn't in a

:39:59. > :40:04.position to capitalise on that. He seems to have lost a bit of momentum

:40:05. > :40:08.himself out of Luffield. He did look slow earlier in the Grand Prix.

:40:09. > :40:16.Whether it's a question of not getting as much recovery, not

:40:17. > :40:21.getting the drive... Impressive pace from Ferrari. We haven't seen much

:40:22. > :40:27.of this kind of place so far during the course of the year. Let me tell

:40:28. > :40:32.you, we are now joined by Mercedes motorsport boss, Toto Wolff. We've

:40:33. > :40:36.seen what happened to Nico Rosberg, desperately disappointing day for

:40:37. > :40:41.him. Have you had a chance to speak to him yet? No, we haven't spoken to

:40:42. > :40:47.him yet. It's clear he is disappointed. Thank you very much.

:40:48. > :40:53.Fingers crossed for your car that is currently leading in the hands of

:40:54. > :40:58.Lewis Hamilton. World champion on world champion action here.

:40:59. > :41:02.Ricciardo to do that, he needs 36 laps on his option tyres. I'm not

:41:03. > :41:11.sure we've seen anybody go that far. It may well be that Ricciardo

:41:12. > :41:17.has to stop. The car is using feel, Vettel's best chance... A lot of

:41:18. > :41:20.extra momentum, but where is Alonso? They are side-by-side. Vettel still

:41:21. > :41:25.hasn't made it through. This is wonderful. Alonso in the Ferrari,

:41:26. > :41:32.fifth place. He nearly lost it there to Sebastian Vettel. Great racing

:41:33. > :41:36.from these two. Vettel got himself exactly where he needed to be, got

:41:37. > :41:40.the slipstream, got the DRS. He's now got to try and do it all again

:41:41. > :41:44.through Becketts. It's a lot more difficult to do.

:41:45. > :41:53.TEAM RADIO: I would have crashed into him. Understood. Frustration

:41:54. > :41:58.coming through in Sebastian's voice. I didn't see anything untoward in

:41:59. > :42:01.what we saw. I think you may be referring to this point here. He

:42:02. > :42:07.tried to do is the key pass on the corner. He tried to sneak up the

:42:08. > :42:10.inside and then Alonso moves back for his line. Hamilton into the pits

:42:11. > :42:15.now. This should be a pretty standard pit stop. They had planned

:42:16. > :42:20.a two-stop strategy for Lewis Hamilton. He is in now, having run

:42:21. > :42:27.the car on that stint quite smoothly, quite easily in the end.

:42:28. > :42:32.Such is his lead, Bottas is just exiting Becketts onto the Hangar

:42:33. > :42:35.Straight. You do feel they may well have been able to get to the end an

:42:36. > :42:40.of tyres, it's probably precautionary. Sometimes you've got

:42:41. > :42:43.to be careful. Sometimes just because it's new doesn't mean it's

:42:44. > :42:47.better. It's like Jenson for McLaren a few years ago when the wheel came

:42:48. > :42:57.off and he was set for a good result.

:42:58. > :43:05.Magnussen is not far behind him. He definitely went all four wheels over

:43:06. > :43:13.there. That's a bit of an interesting one. Christian, we've

:43:14. > :43:17.been hearing both your driver and Alonso's complaining about each

:43:18. > :43:24.other going over track limits. What is the story, are they likely to be

:43:25. > :43:28.in trouble? This looks as closer as we've been here. Let's see what

:43:29. > :43:36.Sebastian does here. We just can't get close enough on the straights.

:43:37. > :43:49.He's having a go. Alonso just shut the door on him again. He's up the

:43:50. > :43:50.inside now. He's got a chance here. It's side-by-side, this is

:43:51. > :44:03.brilliant! Good boy, good boy! Sebastian Vettel

:44:04. > :44:06.has done it. TEAM RADIO: It's happening again,

:44:07. > :44:18.he's not moving out of the way, he's launching me off the track.

:44:19. > :44:27.go on this set of tyres. He will try to get to the end. We are four or

:44:28. > :44:32.five laps s to go. Jenson Button is looking for his first podium at

:44:33. > :44:38.Silverstone, how can you be so cruel? He is not driving for our

:44:39. > :44:44.team! Let's see what happens in the last few laps. Thank you for joining

:44:45. > :44:49.us. This was amazing. How close were they without actually touching? This

:44:50. > :44:53.is a great example between world class drivers who know exactly the

:44:54. > :45:02.limit and some of those who often are not are over that limit and have

:45:03. > :45:10.contact. On this lap of course I wonder if Alonso is keeping score. I

:45:11. > :45:17.bet he was right opt -- right on the radio right away. But look at that

:45:18. > :45:21.reaction. It was great to have Christian with us. Yes, he was very

:45:22. > :45:27.calm. He was listening and commentating on what the drivers

:45:28. > :45:40.were doing. Leave us to get all excited! It is the DRS. The DRS on

:45:41. > :45:44.turn five and out of turn nine. He is saying he used the DRS that

:45:45. > :45:50.Sebastian Vettel used the DRS in areas that you're not allowed to.

:45:51. > :45:55.Which seems unlikely. He was saying it out out of turn five and nine. If

:45:56. > :46:03.he had a car in front he was entitled to do so on turn nine. That

:46:04. > :46:07.is not a DRS activation zone. Fernando Alonso might be just

:46:08. > :46:14.looking at any opportunity to find a reason why Sebastian Vettel should

:46:15. > :46:20.get a penalty. It is all part of psychological warfare of sport.

:46:21. > :46:25.Sebastian Vettel is in fifth and chasing Jenson Button. He has

:46:26. > :46:32.brought the gap down to Daniel Ricciardo. It is 5. 7 seconds, but

:46:33. > :46:40.he is running out of laps. Bottas pulled a result back for Williams.

:46:41. > :46:43.He needs to give up the position. I think he is expecting Sebastian

:46:44. > :46:47.Vettel to give it up. I don't think this a likely. There could be some

:46:48. > :46:54.interesting discussions after, as Nico Rosberg speaks to Toto Wolff.

:46:55. > :46:59.More than one second a lap faster than Daniel Ricciardo. The gap is

:47:00. > :47:01.down to 4.1 seconds. But he only has two laps to do it. At a second a lap

:47:02. > :47:08.it is not enough. He has not had a two laps to do it. At a second a lap

:47:09. > :47:13.lot of luck on this track. 14 times previously, not managed to get opt

:47:14. > :47:17.podium. -- on the podium. It has been a tough place for him over the

:47:18. > :47:22.years. But he is driving his heart out and still getting massive

:47:23. > :47:27.support from the the crowd all the way. Can he do anything about Daniel

:47:28. > :47:31.Ricciardo in the closing stages. Up front of course, lament is still

:47:32. > :47:33.leading this -- Lewis Hamilton is still leading this Grand Prix and

:47:34. > :47:42.there have been no reliability problems so far. Just two laps to

:47:43. > :47:50.go. Valtteri Bottas for Williams, in what has been a difficult weekend.

:47:51. > :47:55.With another accident here today. Bottas has put the problems behind

:47:56. > :48:03.him. He only qualified #149 after they -- 14th after they

:48:04. > :48:11.miscalculated the conditions. I can smell something. I can smell

:48:12. > :48:16.something burning. Maybe it is Pastor Maldonado he can smell.

:48:17. > :48:22.Pastor Maldonado smoking away. He is in 14th and that looks like an oil

:48:23. > :48:32.haze. I looked like he was chucking bits of metal out of the car. He is

:48:33. > :48:36.out again. We are on lap 51 out of 52 now. The gap has reduced. There

:48:37. > :48:45.is the battle for third. Daniel Ricciardo in the Red Bull. Jenson

:48:46. > :48:49.Button getting cloers. The unioning thats -- getting closer. The Union

:48:50. > :48:55.flags are waving. I don't think Jenson Button will be able to do it.

:48:56. > :48:58.Exercise caution. Sector 3, maybe some oil down. Pastor Maldonado

:48:59. > :49:06.stopped turn one, there is a yellow there. Lewis Hamilton being told to

:49:07. > :49:09.be careful. Jenson Button's taken another six tenths out of Daniel

:49:10. > :49:12.Ricciardo. Daniel Ricciardo is trying to manage the situation as

:49:13. > :49:17.much as possible and Lewis Hamilton is on his final lap. But those two

:49:18. > :49:22.will have to go further before they get to the flag. Lewis's father just

:49:23. > :49:26.watching the monitors. It looks as though it is going to be the dream

:49:27. > :49:33.result. His brother keeping an eye on things as well. It is exactly six

:49:34. > :49:37.years to the very day since Lewis Hamilton took his first British

:49:38. > :49:41.Grand Prix win. And this date is surely going to become one of his

:49:42. > :49:46.favourites, because it looks as if it is heading his way once more.

:49:47. > :49:50.What a superb drive. We were denied of the race we wanted to see of

:49:51. > :49:54.course between himself and Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, the way he was

:49:55. > :49:58.going, there is no doubt we would have had a huge battle for the

:49:59. > :50:03.victory here. But fair play to Lewis, he has been unUK lucky --

:50:04. > :50:08.unlucky on a couple of occasions this season. In Australia the car

:50:09. > :50:13.broke down and in Canada, he suffered a failure. Two zero scores

:50:14. > :50:18.to go along with the four victories. But it has come back his way and the

:50:19. > :50:23.crowd beginning to enjoy and eseparate the moment. Lewis Hamilton

:50:24. > :50:26.-- celebrate the moment. Lewis Hamilton coming through the last

:50:27. > :50:31.couple of corners and Lewis Hamilton is going to win the British Grand

:50:32. > :50:40.Prix! He wins for the second time. It is his 27th career win. To match

:50:41. > :50:43.Jackie Stewart and that is a wonderful achievement. A double

:50:44. > :50:48.winner at Silverstone. What a special, special moment it is for

:50:49. > :50:52.Lewis Hamilton. After a tough day in qualifying and a series of difficult

:50:53. > :50:57.weekends, he is half out of qualifying and a series of difficult

:50:58. > :51:02.celebration. As he father said, what you see is what you get with Lewis,

:51:03. > :51:12.heart on the slooefr stuff. This has got to be one of his most satisfying

:51:13. > :51:17.victories. Bottas takes second. Daniel Ricciardo holds on to third.

:51:18. > :51:22.Jenson Button just 0.8 of a second behind. How cruel is that. But a

:51:23. > :51:28.great drive from both of them. Sebastian Vettel finishes in fifth.

:51:29. > :51:35.Fernando Alonso is sixth. You can't touch this Lewis, home Grand Prix

:51:36. > :51:39.win. Beautiful work! Lap it up boy sclap England! What a great feeling

:51:40. > :51:43.guys. I couldn't be happier. I'm sorry about yesterday. But a

:51:44. > :51:52.fantastic job today this weekend and thank you. Lewis Hamilton is taking

:51:53. > :51:57.a while to get another victory here, but it just makes it even more

:51:58. > :52:05.special and Mercedes again on top, despite the reliability problems for

:52:06. > :52:13.Nico Rosberg. So that was the 27th victory for Lewis Hamilton. 25 point

:52:14. > :52:36.toss for him. -- points -- 25 points for him.

:52:37. > :52:44.Mercedes are still leading the constructors' Championship. But look

:52:45. > :52:51.at that midfield battle. Williams above ahead of Force India. Sorry

:52:52. > :52:56.yesterday, I was so speechless, just in myself. But today just that whole

:52:57. > :53:01.experience of going from one end of spectrum to the other, turning

:53:02. > :53:05.negatives into positives, a big thank you to my family for their

:53:06. > :53:09.support and a huge thank you to all the fans. Because they really made

:53:10. > :53:14.the difference this weekend and that is why I was so disappointed

:53:15. > :53:18.yesterday. I could see them and hear them all and just there is nothing

:53:19. > :53:23.better than being able to give them this win. Really happy, we didn't

:53:24. > :53:29.expect to be so strong in this race. Yesterday was so tough and we

:53:30. > :53:36.started from 14th, 15th. Obviously a shame for Felipe in his 20th Grand

:53:37. > :53:40.Prix, didn't go that well. But we still got some good points. We saw

:53:41. > :53:46.it in the beginning of the race already after five or six, seven

:53:47. > :53:51.laps. We have a pace here. This is the best third place I have got. I'm

:53:52. > :53:59.not normally ecstatic with a third, but I am today. To redeem myself for

:54:00. > :54:05.yesterday. Also that I don't think we had an awesome race card, but we

:54:06. > :54:11.made it work. We sort of used the cards that we had well and we played

:54:12. > :54:16.the game well. So really happy to make one stop work and the option at

:54:17. > :54:23.the end, I think we did 37 or 38 laps. That was good fun. I gave it

:54:24. > :54:30.my all, but it is always tough when the engineer says give it your your

:54:31. > :54:36.all, but you have got a fuel save. So it is, you're kidding me. So it

:54:37. > :54:41.was tricky. But that was it. Maximum I think we did good. The option tyre

:54:42. > :54:46.was more difficult and the prime tyre was better. I was able to put

:54:47. > :54:51.some time into Fernando. It is difficult when cars come past you

:54:52. > :54:55.like you're stood still. The Mercedes and the Williams. But

:54:56. > :55:00.everyone else we could fight. It was six long years for Lewis to win the

:55:01. > :55:05.British Grand Prix again, but the fans appreciated that. After the

:55:06. > :55:12.disappointment of qualifying, where he pulled off from the lap, he was

:55:13. > :55:15.able to go away and come back with a focus and the power of the people

:55:16. > :55:22.around the track seemed to will him on. You could see that in his lap

:55:23. > :55:26.times as he was hunting Nico Rosberg. In the end it was an easy

:55:27. > :55:32.win, but an emotional one and one he will be proud to have added that to.

:55:33. > :55:35.He looked very proud and that luck seemed to switch. Not so much for

:55:36. > :55:42.Nico Rosberg. Balancing the Championship out. Yes, only four

:55:43. > :55:47.points between them. That is what we love, two guys, very different

:55:48. > :55:53.personalities and styles, Lewis has made arguably more mistakes in

:55:54. > :56:00.qualifying, but has delivered good racing and he has been one race more

:56:01. > :56:09.unliability than Rossburg. But that is going to be a key factor later

:56:10. > :56:17.with this new hybrid technology. A podium, Valtteri Bottas was

:56:18. > :56:20.incredible and Daniel Ricciardo. Fernando Alonso never gives up.

:56:21. > :56:27.incredible and Daniel Ricciardo. made a mistake object starting -- on

:56:28. > :56:30.the starting grid and got a five-second penalty. You would want

:56:31. > :56:35.him in your team any day of the week. When you had Lewis and

:56:36. > :56:40.Fernando together in McLaren it was always going to be fireworks but you

:56:41. > :56:45.knew they would take the cars to the limit. That battle between Fernando

:56:46. > :56:50.and Sebastian guz extraordinary and there was a lot of bickering going

:56:51. > :56:54.on. It was good in an entertainment point of view. It shows there is a

:56:55. > :56:59.respect, it is not a friendship. It will be sbrefrsing to see how --

:57:00. > :57:05.interesting to see how it unfolds. We are back in two weeks for the

:57:06. > :57:08.German Grand Prix. This a all we have time for from Silverstone and

:57:09. > :57:16.British Grand Prix. Thank you for watching and hope you enjoyed it and

:57:17. > :57:24.we will see you in a fortnight. Here we are in what is the heart of

:57:25. > :57:33.Formula One. I hear you loud and clear. # You can't always get what

:57:34. > :57:39.you want! That was the toughest moment. The adrenaline is running

:57:40. > :57:45.and then it is over. Rosberg goes faster. Where is Lewis Hamilton? He

:57:46. > :57:54.is in the pits. # If you try sometimes, you can get what you

:57:55. > :57:59.need! Come on Lewis, I'm rooting for you. I did it before. There is no

:58:00. > :58:06.reason why I can't do it again. Welcome to the British Grand Prix. I

:58:07. > :58:18.love the British Grand Prix. # Born to be wild! Lights s out away we go!

:58:19. > :58:21.Oh my goodness, it is Raikkonen. Lewis Hamilton dives down the inside

:58:22. > :58:34.and takes second place from Jenson Button. Problem on the up shift.

:58:35. > :58:37.Lewis Hamilton leads the British Grand Prix. Oh, he does it. What a

:58:38. > :58:45.brilliant manoeuvre from Fernando Alonso. Oh this is brilliant. There

:58:46. > :58:58.you are, good boy! Lewis Hamilton is going to win the British Grand Prix!

:58:59. > :59:15.England! Next time on Formula One... Race ten. Hockenheim, Germany.

:59:16. > :59:18.In the run-up to the Commonwealth Games...
