:01:10. > :01:16.Silverstone. A landmark. A cause for celebration. A slice of the space
:01:17. > :01:22.age which still honours what has gone before, making this the classic
:01:23. > :01:30.of the British sporting summer. It was not always such a classic. There
:01:31. > :01:41.is a bit of prehistory. 1947, Terra Way laps of the deserted airfield, a
:01:42. > :01:47.mates' race, during which one of them ran over a sheep. The precursor
:01:48. > :01:58.to this, the latest generation of Formula One, and yet cherishing the
:01:59. > :02:06.past. The great Fangio, who won here just the once, Stirling boss, who
:02:07. > :02:13.won twice, but never hear. Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart, David
:02:14. > :02:23.Coulthard. The charges, Graham Hill, and Nigel Mansell, to glory in
:02:24. > :02:32.1987. There were the pilots and the Turbos, the first and last years,
:02:33. > :02:39.but above all, the glory years. High-stakes, high-speed rivalries,
:02:40. > :02:47.and moments of kindness. A slice of the space age, anchored firmly to
:02:48. > :02:52.the earth of England. Welcome to Silverstone. The home of Formula
:02:53. > :03:07.One. It is a rather wet home today, but
:03:08. > :03:11.despite the lacklustre weather, more than 95,000 fans have congregated on
:03:12. > :03:17.this hallowed ground to watch qualifying today. The campsites are
:03:18. > :03:22.packed, all of the viewing area is loaded with an expectant crowd, who
:03:23. > :03:28.have been treated to concerts, vintage parades, Spitfire displays
:03:29. > :03:34.and, hopefully, we will all the this an epic qualifying session. Hello,
:03:35. > :03:41.welcome. Eddie and David are taking us through the weekend. This is a
:03:42. > :03:46.four-day extravaganza, and David, you were part of the vintage parade,
:03:47. > :03:55.it looked like great fun. Yes, some of the greats from the past, Jackie
:03:56. > :04:00.Stewart, a real fantastic celebration of forming one.
:04:01. > :04:04.Silverstone has the ability to do this time after time, and it
:04:05. > :04:10.embraces everything the fans want. It is a friendship Grand Prix. It
:04:11. > :04:14.allows everybody to be part of the scene. It has got a hands-on feel.
:04:15. > :04:18.allows everybody to be part of the scene. It has got a hands-on You got
:04:19. > :04:24.your hands on a pair of drumsticks! The Kaiser Chiefs were playing.
:04:25. > :04:29.Amazing, what a fantastic band, and to hear them live, they have so many
:04:30. > :04:36.big hit records, and they said, come and play with us. It is difficult to
:04:37. > :04:43.fake playing the drums! It is more difficult than you think! Looking
:04:44. > :04:51.good, not bad for 66! I do not want to be called 66! It was such great
:04:52. > :04:56.fun, I loved every minute of it. Before we really get into it, let's
:04:57. > :05:00.look back to a fortnight ago, when we made a Formula One returned to
:05:01. > :05:08.Austria, and it was a cracking weekend for Williams.
:05:09. > :05:17.Lights out, away we go, Felipe Massa getting away well, but an excellent
:05:18. > :05:22.start from Nico Rosberg, head of Valtteri Bottas. Look at Valtteri
:05:23. > :05:30.Bottas, he has got past Nico Rosberg. Lewis Hamilton charging up
:05:31. > :05:37.into fifth place. RADIO: Tell me what to do, please. A miserable
:05:38. > :05:45.weekend. Lewis Hamilton takes the place, what a lunch, racy stuff.
:05:46. > :05:54.Where is Valtteri Bottas? A fabulous stop. Where will he come out? In
:05:55. > :06:07.front of Lewis Hamilton, but behind Nico Rosberg. Daniil Kvyat has come
:06:08. > :06:14.off. RADIO: I have no breaks. It is fairly straightforward. Sergio Perez
:06:15. > :06:19.gives him space and loses momentum. That gives the opportunity for
:06:20. > :06:24.Valtteri Bottas to sweep past. Here comes Lewis Hamilton on Sergio
:06:25. > :06:36.Perez. Sergio Perez gives him plenty of space, no moving on the line.
:06:37. > :06:40.RADIO: Box, we are retiring the car. It has been a miserable weekend for
:06:41. > :06:53.Sebastian Vettel. Very unlucky with the reliability of his car. RADIO:
:06:54. > :06:56.Push hard now. It is Hammer time. The battle between Nico Hulkenberg
:06:57. > :07:02.and Daniel Ricciardo still going on. It is going to be victory for Nico
:07:03. > :07:08.Rosberg in Austria. He wins the Austrian Grand Prix by 1.9 seconds,
:07:09. > :07:16.from Lewis Hamilton. Third place goes to Valtteri Bottas, his first
:07:17. > :07:19.podium. Nico Rosberg's perfect array, he
:07:20. > :07:27.extends his lead over Lewis Hamilton. Lewis Hamilton has now had
:07:28. > :07:34.to technical failures this season. It is a long way back down to third
:07:35. > :07:42.place. Daniel Ricciardo is the only non-Mercedes driver to win a race
:07:43. > :07:47.this season. Already at the halfway point, Mercedes seem to have the
:07:48. > :07:51.construct is' championship in their grasp. They have a whopping margin
:07:52. > :07:56.over Red Bull, who have been the Kings for the last four years.
:07:57. > :08:07.Ferrari are way off the pace, would arguably punching above their
:08:08. > :08:11.weight. It was a really intriguing weekend in Austria, a great event
:08:12. > :08:16.again, Williams did really well, but some speculation they could have
:08:17. > :08:21.done better. They will feel there was a missed opportunity. But it is
:08:22. > :08:25.easy to be clear in hindsight. But it represents a positive step
:08:26. > :08:32.forward for the team ahead of this home Grand Prix. All those people
:08:33. > :08:35.there, about to go the pit lane wall, this is the hands-on
:08:36. > :08:41.experience that we are talking about. Wrapping up the William
:08:42. > :08:45.story, it is definitely a step in the right direction. Yes, they have
:08:46. > :08:52.had a tidy car, and they feel that the season has been one of missed
:08:53. > :08:59.opportunities. They need to be able to think like winners again. If they
:09:00. > :09:04.had the previous year's experience, they would have done really well.
:09:05. > :09:09.They would have capitalised more on the product that they have. They
:09:10. > :09:14.have a sensational car, sensational drivers and a sensational engine,
:09:15. > :09:20.and they should have won a couple of races by now. It was a great weekend
:09:21. > :09:25.for Mercedes. I do believe the rest of the grid is catching up with them
:09:26. > :09:29.ever so slightly. We will see how close they are getting, especially
:09:30. > :09:39.in this changeable weather. Plenty of news, that catch up.
:09:40. > :09:46.Jenson Button has been stealing the headlines, but not for the right
:09:47. > :09:50.reasons. Ron Dennis has accused him of not trying hard enough this
:09:51. > :09:55.season, but that is an accusation that Jenson Button believes applies
:09:56. > :09:59.to the whole team. We need to try harder, every day you have got to do
:10:00. > :10:04.a better job, or else you will not catch the leading guys. We have all
:10:05. > :10:09.got to look at ourselves and give it our all, that is the only way we can
:10:10. > :10:13.get back to the front. With the Mercedes cars dominating, the latest
:10:14. > :10:20.rumours are that voters will switch from Renault to the three pointed
:10:21. > :10:25.star next year. Everybody is looking at the best option possible. So far,
:10:26. > :10:33.we have no strength in a straight line. I would love to have a
:10:34. > :10:38.Mercedes next year. One change that is on the cards next year is a
:10:39. > :10:42.change to the safety car rules. There will be standing restarts,
:10:43. > :10:50.something that the drivers have not welcomed with open arms. The leader
:10:51. > :10:55.suffers a massive deficit, a potential big disadvantage. But the
:10:56. > :11:02.FIA maintains it is to spice up the show. This supposition is that the
:11:03. > :11:07.start is the most exciting part, and if you can have a second one, it
:11:08. > :11:13.might introduce more on credibility and excitement and likelihood of
:11:14. > :11:18.places changing. That was the reason it was done. It is all change at
:11:19. > :11:22.Caterham, days after announcing that his team is not for sale, Tony
:11:23. > :11:28.Fernandez has sold it to a consortium of investors. One man
:11:29. > :11:36.involved is Colin Collins. I have been asked to help and turn it
:11:37. > :11:39.around. The company made more progress in the last three days than
:11:40. > :11:46.in the last two years. I am convinced about this. It is crucial
:11:47. > :11:52.to be successful of the track to be successful on the track. Without off
:11:53. > :11:57.the track success, you will never reach any success on the track. The
:11:58. > :12:00.target is clear, this team is to reach the 10th position in the
:12:01. > :12:05.championship. We thought that what the latest, but
:12:06. > :12:09.it has been confirmed that Lotus will run a Mercedes engine next
:12:10. > :12:15.year, big news, and not great for Red Bull. Red Bull were never in the
:12:16. > :12:18.running to get the Mercedes engine, they are looking at bolstering the
:12:19. > :12:24.strength of the Renault and developing the engine when the
:12:25. > :12:29.freeze is opened up. But it is a clear statement of intent from
:12:30. > :12:34.Lotus, they have been struggling. They have had a terrible start to
:12:35. > :12:39.the year, and an indication they are taking this seriously, it will help
:12:40. > :12:43.focus the minds of the engineers and bring investment. Quite a lot of
:12:44. > :12:50.loud noise, it is these guys that you can hear, these beautiful old
:12:51. > :12:55.cars, another parade for the fans. We concede Jackie Stewart, Damon
:12:56. > :13:02.Hill, that is the Lotus his father used to drive, Paul Stewart, a great
:13:03. > :13:08.opportunity for Formula One and the fans here to celebrate the history
:13:09. > :13:11.of the last 50 years of racing here. It is beautiful, watching those
:13:12. > :13:17.cars. There was some talk about the safety car, the new rules. It has
:13:18. > :13:25.not been popular with drivers or fans. We have heard the view from
:13:26. > :13:28.the FIA, what is the downside? You have another incident immediately
:13:29. > :13:36.after a safety car, there could be another shunt. When the drivers
:13:37. > :13:41.start, they are fresh, sharp, ready, and if the safety car came after 60
:13:42. > :13:46.laps at Monaco and you have another restart, they are dehydrated,
:13:47. > :13:50.fatigued and you lose performance. The fact we are talking about it is
:13:51. > :13:56.helping to keep Formula One in the news. If it gives a controversial
:13:57. > :14:01.result, in that the leader does not get the result, we will talk about
:14:02. > :14:06.it even more. And the tyre temperatures as well. The other
:14:07. > :14:10.thing was Caterham. Eddie Jordan is with the new team principal.
:14:11. > :14:16.thing was Caterham. Eddie Jordan is Indeed. Welcome to the club, we know
:14:17. > :14:25.you as a driver, tell us, what will you do to turn this team around? It
:14:26. > :14:30.is a big job. The most important thing is we have to make the team as
:14:31. > :14:35.efficient as possible. I have been here a couple of days and looked at
:14:36. > :14:39.the factory, it is amazing what they have in resources, equipment and
:14:40. > :14:45.machinery. They need to turn it around, it is not going to be easy,
:14:46. > :14:53.but I am ready. You are, but have you identified anything that you
:14:54. > :14:59.feel can be an instant fix? I have something in my mind, but it is too
:15:00. > :15:01.early. What is your target? IG targeting eighth in the
:15:02. > :15:12.championship, 10th in the championship? The most important
:15:13. > :15:19.thing is to try to get in the championship and fight. To get all
:15:20. > :15:31.the upgrades done and hopefully we can find some upgrades. Also the
:15:32. > :15:44.aerodynamics. It is a big challenge. A lot of surprises every day. You
:15:45. > :15:52.would have to beat Sauber or Marussia. What do you have on your
:15:53. > :15:56.sites. We will try just to do the most we can do. It is not easy. We
:15:57. > :16:01.have seen the performance of the car and we have to work very hard. I
:16:02. > :16:08.will try everything possible to change something.
:16:09. > :16:19.So changes at the back of the grid. They do have some work to do.
:16:20. > :16:22.Marussia do have work to do. Colin Collins is an experienced man in
:16:23. > :16:29.Formula one and motor racing so he does have that business experience.
:16:30. > :16:33.It will be interesting to see how he translates his experience to help in
:16:34. > :16:38.that team. The key thing that the team needs is not just a restructure
:16:39. > :16:43.in terms of their efficiency but they need a faster car. So I do not
:16:44. > :16:51.know if the designers have not been given the resources or if they do
:16:52. > :16:57.not have the people. Let us have a look at what is going
:16:58. > :17:01.on at Silverstone as we speak. The Williams there, Rubens Barrichello
:17:02. > :17:07.getting the chance to drive. Resetting the crowd. You get the
:17:08. > :17:12.sense if he had the chance to race a current Formula one car, he would
:17:13. > :17:19.take it. He has not quite come to terms with the fact that he is not a
:17:20. > :17:23.grand prix driver any more! Friday was to be a very special day for
:17:24. > :17:29.Susie Wolff, the first female to take part in a Grand Prix for 22
:17:30. > :17:42.years. And there was a lot of anticipation.
:17:43. > :17:49.Good morning. Nice to see you. This is a nice place you have got.
:17:50. > :17:54.I have known you a long time. It is strange that evolution from us
:17:55. > :17:59.running around as young girls wanting to be in motorsport to you
:18:00. > :18:09.driving at Silverstone. You seem measured. It has been a fantastic
:18:10. > :18:12.journey. We had a passion for motorsport and we have taken the
:18:13. > :18:17.journey this far. For me the best part is putting that helmet on and
:18:18. > :18:24.trying to get the quickest lap time you can. That is what I look forward
:18:25. > :18:31.to. The grandstands are going to be packed, does that affect you? It was
:18:32. > :18:38.in a positive way. I had so many messages of support. It is something
:18:39. > :18:50.I think is positive as opposed to extra pressure. No one puts more
:18:51. > :18:55.pressure on me than I do myself. People think Formula one is quite a
:18:56. > :19:00.chauvinistic face. When you're dealing with Sir Frank Williams,
:19:01. > :19:04.such a historic name, and you have spoken to Bernie Ecclestone as
:19:05. > :19:10.well. Do you feel that these people are backing you fully? They
:19:11. > :19:14.certainly do not make my life difficult. They remake funny
:19:15. > :19:19.comments in the media that they realise it is positive for the sport
:19:20. > :19:24.to have a female out there. I always say I'm not out to prove a point
:19:25. > :19:30.about women drivers but I'm just out there for me. It is a great
:19:31. > :19:40.opportunity for me as a driver to take the next step on my Formula one
:19:41. > :19:46.driver -- Formula one journey. The main thing that we need is that
:19:47. > :19:51.she just does a sensible job, does not try to go to quickly and is just
:19:52. > :19:59.consistent with top and able to give us feedback as to what each of the
:20:00. > :20:04.new components is doing. Williams is leading the way, to have
:20:05. > :20:13.women involved in all areas of the business. Including the very sharp
:20:14. > :20:25.end, driving the car. It gives a better balance to the sport in
:20:26. > :20:48.general. Every thing OK with the car?
:20:49. > :20:55.Susie Wolff has come to stop out track... As soon as I saw oil
:20:56. > :20:59.pressure coming up I knew that was it. That was the toughest moment.
:21:00. > :21:05.The adrenaline is running and it is certainly over.
:21:06. > :21:11.The toughest thing for me was that it was just so much fun out there. I
:21:12. > :21:17.still read a lot from today in spite of it being just a short run. We
:21:18. > :21:27.will bounce back and I need to start focusing on doing the same thing
:21:28. > :21:31.again. Heartbreaking scenes for Susie Wolff
:21:32. > :21:37.on Friday. It is just started raining here. As if the gods knew
:21:38. > :21:42.that it was so disappointing and not her fault at all. She had put in a
:21:43. > :21:46.lot of hard work to get to the session yesterday. There was
:21:47. > :21:51.pressure on her and it was just disappointing for everybody and most
:21:52. > :21:56.of all for Susie Wolff. But she handled it with good grace and
:21:57. > :22:00.dignity and she took the positives from it. She said she had a great
:22:01. > :22:07.time and is looking ahead to the next race. I'm so pleased that she
:22:08. > :22:13.just has a short time to wait. With hindsight that is good. I have raced
:22:14. > :22:18.against Susie Wolff in German touring cards and she has great
:22:19. > :22:23.speed. Women can multitask she be better placed than the male
:22:24. > :22:31.representatives to handle all the new technology! I will not make any
:22:32. > :22:36.comments on gender issues! She is a professional racing driver. And she
:22:37. > :22:41.can manage the steering wheel as well as anyone else. You mentioned
:22:42. > :22:48.Hockenheim. Are there any other opportunities for her to get in a
:22:49. > :22:54.car? Unfortunately not. That was the arrangement. We have Felipe Nasr as
:22:55. > :23:03.well who is our test driver. He is in five P1 sessions this year.
:23:04. > :23:07.Well good luck this weekend. And thank you for talking to us. We look
:23:08. > :23:15.forward to seeing Susie Wolff in Hockenheim. And of course it is
:23:16. > :23:20.difficult. To get any chance, any time in a Formula one car. And that
:23:21. > :23:28.begs the question were to the next crop of British drivers come from.
:23:29. > :23:30.Here is Tom. Well Jonathan Palmer and Alex Lynn
:23:31. > :23:38.are here and they both dominated their respective championships in
:23:39. > :23:44.the junior races. How do you convert this success into a Formula one
:23:45. > :23:49.drive next year? I have to keep doing what I'm doing. The season has
:23:50. > :23:55.gone well so far. We just have to keep it up. And I will go to speak
:23:56. > :24:07.to some Formula one teams and the aim is for me to be on the grid next
:24:08. > :24:13.year. And Alex, what about you? You can make the jump straight to
:24:14. > :24:23.Formula one. That is what I'm looking to do next year. Hopefully
:24:24. > :24:30.get Red Bull to help me get the Formula one seat. And how much
:24:31. > :24:35.interest to they take in new? Do you get Christian Horner on the
:24:36. > :24:42.telephone? They sponsor me all the way and it is in their interest to
:24:43. > :24:48.help me. It is a big thing for you to have that Red Bull backing? It
:24:49. > :24:51.is. It takes away the uncertainty. If you can win on the junior
:24:52. > :24:59.programme you are guaranteed to get a seat. The Palmer family, people
:25:00. > :25:12.say racing royalty. Does that help or hinder? A bit of both. I just do
:25:13. > :25:15.my own thing. On the weekend my dad does not really get involved, he
:25:16. > :25:23.just enjoys it and let me be my own person.
:25:24. > :25:28.The pit lane very busy with a lot of fans waiting and anticipating this
:25:29. > :25:31.qualifying session. Those boys need everything they can get. We know
:25:32. > :25:38.that the Red Bull programme works. That is great backing for Alex. But
:25:39. > :25:45.it is so difficult to get a driver in Formula one. It is difficult. But
:25:46. > :25:51.nevertheless you still have to keep pushing. You get nothing for just
:25:52. > :25:56.sitting still. These boys are all determined and also talented. There
:25:57. > :25:59.is such a great level of professionalism just underneath
:26:00. > :26:06.Formula one which I am excited about. We need to see them make the
:26:07. > :26:13.move. We have seen what so many young drivers are able to do.
:26:14. > :26:18.Normally you have natural wastage with the older drivers retiring. But
:26:19. > :26:26.there are are already a great crop of younger drivers and there's just
:26:27. > :26:29.not space for everyone. Absolutely. Max did not run in the previous free
:26:30. > :26:35.practice session this morning because of a gearbox problem. We may
:26:36. > :26:41.be able to catch up with him later. It has been a difficult year for
:26:42. > :26:56.Ferrari. The team principal has had a few months now to bed in. So we
:26:57. > :27:04.went along to pick his brains. The Ferrari just looked terrible...
:27:05. > :27:10.It has not looked good for Kimi Raikkonen and his return to
:27:11. > :27:15.Ferrari... Three months into the job Marco,
:27:16. > :27:22.what are your initial conclusions? Well it has been the most
:27:23. > :27:27.challenging three months of my life. It is an extraordinary job for an
:27:28. > :27:30.ordinary person. As a profession it is one of the most interesting
:27:31. > :27:37.challenges that the manager can have. There is no compromise. We
:27:38. > :27:50.need to bring Ferrari back to the top.
:27:51. > :27:55.There is a saying, first to build a great car you have to identify the
:27:56. > :28:01.problems with the existing car. Happy now pinpointed the problem
:28:02. > :28:05.is? First you need to pick up the right people and identify the
:28:06. > :28:15.problems and then build a performing car. We have identified the
:28:16. > :28:22.problems, the most important one. We are already working very hard.
:28:23. > :28:28.Adrian, were you disappointed he was not involved in talking with you? I
:28:29. > :28:33.do not want to comment on a saga that is becoming a soap opera. I
:28:34. > :28:44.need to focus on my team and the car and the championship.
:28:45. > :28:49.There is talk of a rift between Alonso and Ferrari. He's not winning
:28:50. > :28:56.championships and he wants to do that more. Can he do that with you?
:28:57. > :29:02.Everyone wants to win more championships and Ferrari do. I
:29:03. > :29:09.understand the frustration. But we are also frustrated. So we should
:29:10. > :29:16.not read anything into the fact that Fernando has said he is not doing
:29:17. > :29:22.the test here next week? The analysis is wrong. I'm not going to
:29:23. > :29:25.comment. Is there any hope that you can give
:29:26. > :29:29.the fans for this season or do we have to wait for next year? We will
:29:30. > :29:38.fight every race. We need to improve. Whatever we will do this
:29:39. > :29:49.year is going to be something useful and support for next year?s car. We
:29:50. > :30:00.will only be happy when we are at the top.
:30:01. > :30:07.So maybe the first time we've had the chance to talk to Marco. Quite
:30:08. > :30:11.defiant, but a strong character. Very strong. He was hugely
:30:12. > :30:17.successful as a company man in the states. So I can see what he has
:30:18. > :30:22.been brought here. Ferrari has been floundering for the last few years.
:30:23. > :30:26.They have not done a good enough job and they have too many fans all over
:30:27. > :30:32.the world, particularly in Britain, I might add. He is charged with the
:30:33. > :30:37.job of getting back up their ad is this going to be a difficult task.
:30:38. > :30:44.Looking at shots there, Kimi Raikkonen, he has pretty much been
:30:45. > :30:49.invisible this season. He is one of those drivers that you cannot ever
:30:50. > :30:53.criticise or the fans make it clear they are not happy. In his career he
:30:54. > :31:01.has had exceptional speed. I think he has blown a bit hot and cold and
:31:02. > :31:05.this is not one of his peak moments. He is looking a bit out of sorts and
:31:06. > :31:11.not happy with the new braking systems. I think he is very seat of
:31:12. > :31:24.the pants and this modern technology does not play to his strengths. Do
:31:25. > :31:29.you see him staying? I do believe that Fernando Alonso is not happy.
:31:30. > :31:34.He wants to win more championships. He would like to do it with
:31:35. > :31:40.Ferrari, but he does not have to. It is a possibility that he might move
:31:41. > :31:44.to a top team next year. I have alluded to it, is there a chance
:31:45. > :31:51.that Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso could swap faces? I think it
:31:52. > :31:55.is a possibility. We would expect you to find out before anybody
:31:56. > :32:01.else! It has been a disappointing weekend so far for Williams, and how
:32:02. > :32:10.have the rest of the paddock been getting on?
:32:11. > :32:14.A dry start saw the fans out in force to support Lewis Hamilton,
:32:15. > :32:21.Jenson Button, Max Chilton and the Williams development driver, but she
:32:22. > :32:29.had development -- engine problems. Her team-mate lost it at a corner.
:32:30. > :32:34.Felipe Massa was hurt, but the team looked dejected. Daniil Kvyat had a
:32:35. > :32:38.go at copying him, but he just hung on to it. Romain Grosjean was ill at
:32:39. > :32:44.ease. Lewis Hamilton was fast with the medium tyres and set the
:32:45. > :32:47.outright pace, but he then suffered an oil pressure problem which put
:32:48. > :32:52.him out for the rest of the session, leaving Nico Rosberg to complete a
:32:53. > :32:55.race simulation on his own. Overnight rain for the third
:32:56. > :33:01.practice meant teams did minimal running. I'll caveat demonstrated
:33:02. > :33:06.how slippery it was, as did Romain Grosjean. Jules Bianchi was the only
:33:07. > :33:14.ones to make contact with the barrier. Lewis Hamilton checked out
:33:15. > :33:17.the limit button. Despite a grassy moment of his own, Sebastian Vettel
:33:18. > :33:27.headed the timesheets for the first time this year, Red Bull first and
:33:28. > :33:33.second, but with Mercedes and rape -- with Mercedes keeping their
:33:34. > :33:40.powder dry, it remains to be seen. Jules Bianchi is having a new nose
:33:41. > :33:48.put on his car. Your car has got a new gearbox going on. Just as I was
:33:49. > :33:53.pulling out of the pit lane, it gave up the ghost as soon as I went for
:33:54. > :34:00.the first gear shift. I did not go for any more, with these cars, it
:34:01. > :34:05.takes a while to get a gearbox change them, but we are looking OK.
:34:06. > :34:11.Your first laps in the wet are going to be in qualifying. Silverstone is
:34:12. > :34:15.a daring track in the dry, but in the wet, it is very high-speed, low
:34:16. > :34:21.grip, and I have had no sighting laps, so I will have to push as hard
:34:22. > :34:27.as I can and get a good lap time. We have just done a piece looking at
:34:28. > :34:33.young guys trying to break through, how difficult is it to get up here,
:34:34. > :34:39.into the top echelon? How difficult to stay here? It is very hard, there
:34:40. > :34:43.are so many youngsters around, you have to defend your position. I am
:34:44. > :34:51.23, but there are already people coming behind me. It is not an easy
:34:52. > :34:54.sport, but at the end of the day, there are only 22 seat. In
:34:55. > :35:00.football, there are thousands of players. It is hard to get into, you
:35:01. > :35:08.have to do your best to stay in. Good luck this afternoon.
:35:09. > :35:12.It is a tough school. We are interested in your views and
:35:13. > :35:19.opinions, you can tweet us. Or you can send your comments to Facebook.
:35:20. > :35:25.Let's go next door and turn our attention is to Mercedes. Everybody
:35:26. > :35:31.is talking about Lewis Hamilton, it was not his weekend last year, but
:35:32. > :35:38.is this a must win race for him this season? Does he need this one
:35:39. > :35:42.psychologically? Not for the points, he does want to claw back the
:35:43. > :35:47.deficit, but there is a long way to go. But psychologically, he would
:35:48. > :35:50.like to nail this, there is no question the crowd would be
:35:51. > :35:57.delighted, this team is based just down the road in Brackley. But it is
:35:58. > :36:04.important for Lewis Hamilton, at the moment, despite the opinion being
:36:05. > :36:07.that he has got the speed, Nico Rosberg has had an answer for
:36:08. > :36:13.everything, he has been on the podium for every Grand Prix, so it
:36:14. > :36:18.will be difficult for him. The psychological games have not worked.
:36:19. > :36:25.The last three qualifying sessions have not gone well, it has gone
:36:26. > :36:29.wrong every time, he has put so much pressure on himself, so what does he
:36:30. > :36:36.need to do today? I see a similarity, Nico Rosberg's position
:36:37. > :36:39.in Monaco, and Lewis Hamilton here. Nico Rosberg responded brilliantly
:36:40. > :36:48.by winning, a big psychological boost. I disagree with David, I
:36:49. > :36:52.believe that Lewis Hamilton has to win here, because it is his home
:36:53. > :36:57.territory, despite the fact that Nico Rosberg won last year. It is a
:36:58. > :37:03.mouthwatering opportunity for us. From Lewis Hamilton's point of view,
:37:04. > :37:07.he must get the points, because he cannot let Nico Rosberg get too far
:37:08. > :37:09.away. He has been relaxed all weekend, but we can find out what is
:37:10. > :37:18.going through his mind. Last year on the Saturday, you
:37:19. > :37:26.0.4 ahead Last year on the Saturday, you
:37:27. > :37:35.love it to be the same? I thought it was 0.5! I am going to argue over
:37:36. > :37:44.that, it is a big difference! Last year was spectacular. I remember the
:37:45. > :37:47.reception I got from the crowd, and it was crushing when we had the tyre
:37:48. > :37:53.blow out. It is Lewis Hamilton!
:37:54. > :37:57.It was more disappointing because I had it therefore the fans, we are
:37:58. > :38:04.going to do this. No chance for Adrian Sutil.
:38:05. > :38:10.Equally, an amazing feeling when I could get back up to fourth place.
:38:11. > :38:15.Lewis Hamilton takes fourth place. Coming from an exploded tyre, this
:38:16. > :38:21.is a tremendous drive. It is another opportunity, who knows
:38:22. > :38:27.how it will go? How much would you like to win here for the fans and to
:38:28. > :38:30.get momentum back on your side and fight for those points in the
:38:31. > :38:34.championship? So many aspects of what would make it even more
:38:35. > :38:42.special, trying to get the momentum back, I had it for a while. I did it
:38:43. > :38:48.before, there is no reason why I cannot catch up again. There was a
:38:49. > :38:56.lot of talk after Monaco, a lot of emotions running high.
:38:57. > :39:00.Yes! Do you think that has been a turning
:39:01. > :39:09.point? Undoubtedly. Nico Rosberg was talking about trying to change the
:39:10. > :39:14.order, making sure he broke down the momentum, and he did so. Would you
:39:15. > :39:19.rather be in a battle with your team-mate with somebody else? What
:39:20. > :39:24.is easier? I would imagine it is easier battling with somebody else.
:39:25. > :39:30.Because then you and your team-mate can help. But when it is you and
:39:31. > :39:35.your team-mate, you almost need somebody to be in between you to
:39:36. > :39:39.take points away from the other. Lewis Hamilton has lost it! That is
:39:40. > :39:42.the end of that lap. We do not often see mistakes from
:39:43. > :39:48.you, but what about qualifying in Austria? You are constantly under
:39:49. > :39:54.pressure. If any driver says there is no pressure, they are talking
:39:55. > :40:04.rubbish. There is pressure there, from yourself, from the team. We are
:40:05. > :40:07.racing for 18, some teams have almost 1000 people. You want to win
:40:08. > :40:19.the championship more than anything. There is pressure, but I cannot
:40:20. > :40:28.pinpoint exactly why mistakes come along.
:40:29. > :40:39.Lewis Hamilton comes through to win the Chinese Grand Prix! He takes his
:40:40. > :40:46.hat-trick of victories in 2014! We know that you have got the speed,
:40:47. > :40:50.but do you have the psychological toughness for what it is going to
:40:51. > :40:53.take this season? It is going to need both. It is going to be a
:40:54. > :41:01.combination of different things. From where I am, staying focused,
:41:02. > :41:04.not losing energy, keeping the spirit up, utilising the
:41:05. > :41:06.opportunity, because we have the chance to win the championship this
:41:07. > :41:07.year, it is just which one of us will do it.
:41:08. > :41:08.That is the million-dollar question, which one direct? Will it be Lewis
:41:09. > :41:13.Hamilton or Nico Rosberg? Nico Rosberg is currently leading the
:41:14. > :41:15.championship. What did you think of him in that interview? He was
:41:16. > :41:24.talking about the momentum that Nico Rosberg stole from him, but it was
:41:25. > :41:29.like he had moved on, he seemed cool, calm and collected. He comes
:41:30. > :41:36.across as a great ambassador for the sport. What he is doing, how he goes
:41:37. > :41:41.about it, he seems content. He has made a huge difference to this team.
:41:42. > :41:48.His inclusion made this team at test today. Well done to him, I am glad
:41:49. > :41:52.he is relaxed and calm, because a relaxed Lewis Hamilton, in this
:41:53. > :41:57.frame of mind, I would not want to fight against him, he is in very
:41:58. > :42:03.good shape. He looks sharp, but he is more susceptible to emotional
:42:04. > :42:09.roller-coaster is down Nico Rosberg. It is not necessarily linked to how
:42:10. > :42:16.it is going on the track, it is what is going on in his life. It will be
:42:17. > :42:20.a tricky qualifying. Do you render the interview when he said he wanted
:42:21. > :42:25.to break him down mentally, and Nico Rosberg said, good luck? They are
:42:26. > :42:33.different, we know that, they look at things differently. Because Lewis
:42:34. > :42:37.Hamilton is emotional, if he gets the pole position and a victory this
:42:38. > :42:43.weekend, would it must be more than a race injury? Yes, I think it would
:42:44. > :42:47.be an emotional victory, not just because it is Britain, but because
:42:48. > :42:54.he would eat into the 29 point deficit. But to break Nico Rosberg
:42:55. > :43:01.down mentally, he is to articulate and intelligent and knowledgeable,
:43:02. > :43:05.because they have known each other for so long, he has picked the wrong
:43:06. > :43:11.person. Does he need to concentrate on his own game? Of course, he knows
:43:12. > :43:17.he has the ultimate speed, but doing what he did, that was a mistake.
:43:18. > :43:22.Another mistake was one he put his hand on him and Nico Rosberg moved
:43:23. > :43:27.it away. There were a couple of things that we looked for. I think
:43:28. > :43:33.it would be better concentrating on himself, he can win, there is no
:43:34. > :43:36.doubt. The pressure is on Nico Rosberg, because he is not a world
:43:37. > :43:42.champion. That might be his saving grace. I think the pressure is
:43:43. > :43:46.mounting on Lewis Hamilton, I do not think this weekend is the decider,
:43:47. > :43:50.but Nico Rosberg has the comfort zone of more than one victory. He
:43:51. > :43:55.cannot finish this race and still be leading the championship. I do not
:43:56. > :43:59.think the pressure is more on Nico Rosberg. The double points at the
:44:00. > :44:05.end could play into Lewis Hamilton's hands. It is double
:44:06. > :44:12.points in the last race, which would make it hugely exciting. The racing
:44:13. > :44:18.on the track is exciting, and the psychology is just as exciting. We
:44:19. > :44:22.will see if Lewis Hamilton will win. We have heard from Lewis Hamilton
:44:23. > :44:25.and Max Chilton, there is one British Trident we have not heard
:44:26. > :44:53.from yet. Gentlemen, start your engines. Can I have a mirror to see
:44:54. > :45:06.how good I look? Look at us! I might even hit second gear. We are
:45:07. > :45:15.coming through! When did you love affair start with
:45:16. > :45:19.bikes? I had a little bike to play around with on the weekends. He
:45:20. > :45:26.watched me around with on the weekends. He
:45:27. > :45:37.said that is enough, let us go on four wheels. He made a wise
:45:38. > :45:45.decision! How do you feel about the British Grand Prix? You have
:45:46. > :45:52.travelled the world. I love it. When I was a kid the race that you dream
:45:53. > :46:03.of is the British Grand Prix. I had one chance, in 2010. Both wheel fell
:46:04. > :46:11.off. Yes. This year for me will be a very special race, emotional, after
:46:12. > :46:15.the old boy passed away in January. Walking out of the hotel in the
:46:16. > :46:27.morning, he was always late. Always the last one. I really miss that.
:46:28. > :46:36.I hope you do not mind, I have booked some tea with her Majesty the
:46:37. > :46:47.Queen. She is in, the flag is up! I have never been to Buckingham
:46:48. > :46:54.Palace. I met her at one time and she said I'd do not know how you do
:46:55. > :47:00.it, racing at breakneck speeds! You cannot help but feel a chartered,
:47:01. > :47:28.all these union Jack flags. -- feel patriotic. Keep your eyes on the
:47:29. > :47:34.road! The one that you are riding sounds a
:47:35. > :47:45.bit like a modern Formula one car. Mine sounds old school.
:47:46. > :48:10.How does Silverstone rate in terms of physical demands? It is nonstop,
:48:11. > :48:21.there are not many slow sections. Ourselves! Riding Harleys. It is
:48:22. > :48:37.Jensen Button, Formula one megastar! The back know who he is.
:48:38. > :48:58.There is Big Ben. It makes you proud! To be British! Come on! # God
:48:59. > :49:15.save our gracious queen... You do not even get me into any
:49:16. > :49:23.trouble. Here come the police! I apologise for any attempts at
:49:24. > :49:28.singing. Jensen was in good form. He is in a good place with his driving.
:49:29. > :49:33.His position in the team. There has been speculation in the media about
:49:34. > :49:38.his future. But he knows that he does have the skills and these
:49:39. > :49:44.conditions could be made for him. We spoke about Ron saying that he
:49:45. > :49:50.needed to pull his socks up. Is that just his way of motivating people? I
:49:51. > :49:55.never heard him publicly say anything and I gave him plenty of
:49:56. > :50:03.opportunity with some of the mistakes I made! Perhaps just now he
:50:04. > :50:16.needs to feel that people should get a hurry on. And really get results.
:50:17. > :50:23.Everyone talking about the situation with Jensen Button and what Ron came
:50:24. > :50:29.out with, outwardly criticising him and saying he needs to try more. Can
:50:30. > :50:35.you add any light to this? Just to put it in perspective, a lot of
:50:36. > :50:41.people do no wrong. An extremely successful team principal and
:50:42. > :50:47.chairman and group executive. He is a pushy guy, that is the nature of
:50:48. > :50:55.the beast. He did exactly the same thing to Ayrton Senna. He has made
:50:56. > :51:06.comments about Jensen. And he would say the same thing to Eric and to
:51:07. > :51:09.me. That is the nature of the beast. But you have lost Alonso and Lewis
:51:10. > :51:15.Hamilton all through the same kind of things. These drivers saying that
:51:16. > :51:22.Ron was too pushy. Is there a message there? I think the drivers
:51:23. > :51:29.had successful times with us but no team stands still. The drivers want
:51:30. > :51:36.to move around. Lewis and Adrian had been with us for a long time.
:51:37. > :51:43.Nothing stands still. I do not look at it with that perspective at all
:51:44. > :51:48.but I like your loaded question! US sixth in the constructors
:51:49. > :51:56.championship. 1.8 seconds behind the fastest car in qualifying yesterday.
:51:57. > :52:00.That is not McLaren style? It is not and it is not good enough. A lot of
:52:01. > :52:06.us are working very hard behind the scenes. I was asked about these
:52:07. > :52:12.regulations and if it clamps down on levels of innovation. Mercedes had
:52:13. > :52:17.given a masterclass in how that can be done so there is plenty of
:52:18. > :52:21.opportunity. And it is not easy otherwise everyone else would be
:52:22. > :52:26.doing the same thing. If you look at the last four or five races the grid
:52:27. > :52:30.is moving forwards. And Mercedes will have to watch carefully if they
:52:31. > :52:38.are to hold onto that lead. But the grid is going to catch them. Whether
:52:39. > :52:42.this year or next, it is coming. And if you do not establish what is
:52:43. > :52:50.wrong with the car, how are you going to change it next year? The
:52:51. > :52:54.Honda thing, it is fantastic news for Formula one and for us that
:52:55. > :52:59.whatever the changes in the regulation, it has been good enough
:53:00. > :53:07.to introduce Honda back into motorsport. Fiercely competitive in
:53:08. > :53:11.Moto GP. It runs through their blood so we are delighted to be racing
:53:12. > :53:15.with them. In terms of the work that we have to do, the product in a
:53:16. > :53:20.garage, the issue is not the product but how we improve our organisation.
:53:21. > :53:24.We are working really hard and going through a lot of internal
:53:25. > :53:36.restructuring. We are going to make some changes and make no bones about
:53:37. > :53:41.it, we are coming back. I am with Alan now as we can talk
:53:42. > :53:48.about what is going to happen on track today. A little bit of light
:53:49. > :53:51.rain. It was a bad session this morning and looks like it could be
:53:52. > :53:57.the same thing again. The cloud is higher but it does have that damp
:53:58. > :53:59.feeling and the rain will be on and off for the rest of the afternoon.
:54:00. > :54:06.It will be between the intermediate and perhaps the full wet tyres. The
:54:07. > :54:09.moment on track is going to be critical. If you're the last to
:54:10. > :54:16.cross the line. There could be some scalps in this one. We always say it
:54:17. > :54:23.could be a more level playing field. But the wet weather could help some
:54:24. > :54:28.people? I think it can but it is more opportunistic, making the right
:54:29. > :54:33.decisions, not making mistakes. We have had the situation where this
:54:34. > :54:39.morning there were a lot of mistakes on track. People running wide comic
:54:40. > :54:45.even Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel were in that situation. And
:54:46. > :54:50.that was something that most of them got out of, but not everyone did.
:54:51. > :54:55.Sebastian Vettel coming through brackets, he got onto the wetter
:54:56. > :55:01.part of the circuit. It is not porous, the water does not drain
:55:02. > :55:06.away. And even in the last corner Romain Grosjean as soon as he
:55:07. > :55:14.touched the paintwork it snapped sideways on him. That was a critical
:55:15. > :55:22.moment. He did very well to save that. Right now he was very quick
:55:23. > :55:28.with his reaction. And at the same time he was going down the years. So
:55:29. > :55:34.very quick reactions. Adrian Sutil coming down. He did quite a lot of
:55:35. > :55:38.laps this morning going wide and then coming straight through the
:55:39. > :55:44.gravel. He was good to get out of the gravel. He had to keep up some
:55:45. > :55:51.momentum. This is a guy fighting to get out of the last part of
:55:52. > :55:55.qualifying as is Jules Bianchi. For these guys they are fighting for the
:55:56. > :56:03.opportunity to get out of Q1 and into Q2. This could be at scalp for
:56:04. > :56:09.them. Once you knock a break you lose 25%
:56:10. > :56:14.of your braking efficiency. You have got to come off the brake. But round
:56:15. > :56:18.here it is so slippery. The crossover point between the
:56:19. > :56:23.intermediate tyres and the wet tyres, it is difficult to say. So
:56:24. > :56:31.you're going to see people being very careful not to make mistakes.
:56:32. > :56:41.We can have a closer look at the track. One of the Silverstone
:56:42. > :56:45.masters, the brilliant Mark Webber. Silverstone is like a second home to
:56:46. > :56:55.me. I have been racing here for almost 20 years. And I have had a
:56:56. > :57:00.bit of success along the way. Mark Webber takes victory for the
:57:01. > :57:10.second time... Just a stunning lap.
:57:11. > :57:15.The alp lap is crucial. By the direction of that flag I know
:57:16. > :57:20.whether I have the wind on the nose of the car. Then I can break
:57:21. > :57:26.extremely late. When you have got the wind behind you have to be very
:57:27. > :57:30.careful. This is one of the fastest corners
:57:31. > :57:37.in Formula one. The first corner at Silverstone. You need to be brave
:57:38. > :57:42.and trust in the car. The turning point is roundabout
:57:43. > :57:48.here. You can see the byline, how low we are. Opens up a little bit on
:57:49. > :57:59.the exit. You have got to get this corner right.
:58:00. > :58:05.Still in the first set. The first big heavy stock on the lap. You need
:58:06. > :58:10.to be deep on the brakes. You do not have two prioritise too far on that.
:58:11. > :58:18.You can use the camera on the apex for positioning. It is an important
:58:19. > :58:24.part of the lap to get everything right.
:58:25. > :58:32.In my opinion this is the heart of Formula one. Maggots, very fast.
:58:33. > :58:38.Super rewarding for the drivers. On the left you can see the bank. One
:58:39. > :58:43.of the best places in the world to watch the cars come through. It is
:58:44. > :58:47.all about positioning, getting yourself ready. And probably the
:58:48. > :58:51.most important corner on track. You've got to do so many things
:58:52. > :59:00.right to get the lap time in your favour. Then the last right-hander.
:59:01. > :59:04.If you get all that right then and lap time will be very important for
:59:05. > :59:09.you. Those are some of the key ingredients for a fast qualifying
:59:10. > :59:15.time at Silverstone. Be brave, understand the wind and trust in the
:59:16. > :59:21.car. This is a track that we love driving on. They do not make them
:59:22. > :59:29.like this any more. The guys love it and I do as well.
:59:30. > :59:36.Please to have you with us at this one pre-, Mark Webber. There will
:59:37. > :59:42.need to be quick decisions today. 20 minute sessions. Probably five or
:59:43. > :59:45.six time-lapse for the teams to get the feel of it. Q3 could be
:59:46. > :59:58.difficult conditions. They're under pressure. Who is going to be in pole
:59:59. > :00:16.position? Daniel Ricciardo. Q1 coming up. Here it is.
:00:17. > :00:21.Straddling the borders of Northamptonshire and Bucks,
:00:22. > :00:23.Silverstone puts cars and drivers through their paces with some of the
:00:24. > :00:29.most challenging corners in the world. Qualifying brings us to the
:00:30. > :00:35.former airfield where thousands upon thousands of fans have gathered to
:00:36. > :00:40.CPD generation of cars compete on UK soil for the first time. Both the
:00:41. > :00:47.power unit and chassis is will get a work-out on this 3.6 mile layout.
:00:48. > :00:55.The first sector, introduced in 2010, the second sector, the fast
:00:56. > :00:59.corner. And the final sector, culminating in the long
:01:00. > :01:03.right-hander, where the clock stops at the end of the lap. Lewis
:01:04. > :01:08.Hamilton took pole position last year by nearly half a second over
:01:09. > :01:12.his Mercedes team-mate, Nico Rosberg, and he could do with that
:01:13. > :01:16.again today to begin the process of narrowing the gap in the
:01:17. > :01:20.championship. Conditions are going to make life difficult, and it could
:01:21. > :01:25.change the way we see cars running throughout the session. They will
:01:26. > :01:30.want to get out there quickly, there is still a fairly high risk of rain
:01:31. > :01:37.throughout the remaining part of the next hour. That is the thing about
:01:38. > :01:41.this open airfield, you can get local weather patterns that are not
:01:42. > :01:53.even showing up on the radar. Nobody will want to take a risk in setting
:01:54. > :01:56.their too long. It can help drive the line in the first session when
:01:57. > :02:02.all the cars are on the track, but do you take the risk? I would not.
:02:03. > :02:09.Sebastian Vettel was fastest this morning, but Nico Rosberg and
:02:10. > :02:16.Fernando Alonso did not bother to do a timed lap. Daniel Ricciardo is
:02:17. > :02:19.above Sebastian Vettel in the championship and has beaten him in
:02:20. > :02:25.qualifying this year, so Sebastian Vettel is trying to reclaim some
:02:26. > :02:31.ground. Nico Hulkenberg up in the points, but Force India are not
:02:32. > :02:38.going so quickly this weekend. Others to watch, Kimi Raikkonen, he
:02:39. > :02:42.has been some way off the pace of Fernando Alonso this year, but
:02:43. > :02:48.rarely has he been out qualified here, so we will see how he gets on
:02:49. > :02:56.today. The helmet of Jenson Button, the pink helmet, which is to pay
:02:57. > :02:59.respects to his father, who passed away earlier this year. Coming back
:03:00. > :03:05.to these damp conditions and who away earlier this year. Coming back
:03:06. > :03:09.they favour... Some of the fans showing their support. The
:03:10. > :03:16.conditions might help teams like Sauber, who have qualified to get
:03:17. > :03:22.both cars through the first part of qualifying's who have struggled to
:03:23. > :03:28.get both cars through. Taking big risks this morning. Nico Rosberg
:03:29. > :03:32.scrolling through some of the settings on the steering wheel.
:03:33. > :03:37.Mercedes leading the constructors' point very confidently over Red
:03:38. > :03:45.Bull. Ferrari third, Force India fourth, but Williams are bearing
:03:46. > :03:51.down on them. Williams have had a difficult start to this weekend, can
:03:52. > :03:54.they put that behind them and try to challenge near different? We are
:03:55. > :04:00.expecting Red Bull to be the nearest challengers to Mercedes. The
:04:01. > :04:05.conditions may change that, but Red Bull like these past, flowing
:04:06. > :04:10.circuit. They were pretty strong in Barcelona, attract similar to this.
:04:11. > :04:16.Max Chilton's car is fired up. He is on the intermediate tyre. He is
:04:17. > :04:22.heading out pretty quickly. We still have a queue seconds before the
:04:23. > :04:29.green light comes on. That is his goal, as well as doing an
:04:30. > :04:34.installation lap, knowing that you have got a five place penalty, it is
:04:35. > :04:38.a sobering thought, but normally Marussia have been towards the back
:04:39. > :04:45.of the grid anyway. Fans are getting a better view by leaning over. This
:04:46. > :04:49.is something that I think sets Silverstone apart, the campsite. I
:04:50. > :04:54.felt for them when the rain was bucketing down last night, I
:04:55. > :04:59.thought, I would not want to be in a tent! There were some dumb people
:05:00. > :05:07.around, but they do not care, they are here for Formula One -- there
:05:08. > :05:13.were some damp people around. The first session is underway, 18
:05:14. > :05:17.minutes. To get into the top 16, you progress into the next stage of
:05:18. > :05:23.qualifying. Marussia, Caterham and Sauber are the main teams who could
:05:24. > :05:27.get dropped. You have got to get the timing right, especially when track
:05:28. > :05:32.conditions are changing like this. Tom, you have been talking to some
:05:33. > :05:36.of the engineers, they have an eye on the weather, trying to plan a
:05:37. > :05:44.different approach to qualifying today. Yes, to quote a couple of the
:05:45. > :05:51.engineers, it is situation awareness. The conditions have
:05:52. > :05:56.changed quite a lot since the final practice session this morning, the
:05:57. > :06:00.wind has changed direction, it is now a tailwind going into the first
:06:01. > :06:05.corner, and it is harder, and it will bring in some rain. It is
:06:06. > :06:12.raining in Bicester, 20 miles away. As Mark Webber said, they will be
:06:13. > :06:15.looking at the flag on top of the clubhouse to see what the wind is
:06:16. > :06:20.doing, because it makes such a difference. So many of the teams
:06:21. > :06:25.live around here, Mercedes down the road, Red Bull, Lotus, I would
:06:26. > :06:30.suspect they have family members sending messages, I am bringing
:06:31. > :06:34.suspect they have family members washing in, it is getting a bit
:06:35. > :06:42.wet! I am sure they can keep an eye on it! Kamui Kobayashi out on the
:06:43. > :06:46.Caterham. All of those out so far are on the intermediate tyres, there
:06:47. > :06:50.is no need for the full wet tyres, because there is no standing water.
:06:51. > :06:56.It will be interesting to see the lap times. 1:52 was the fastest this
:06:57. > :07:03.morning, but the track could be in better shape at the moment. You
:07:04. > :07:07.mentioned Adrian Sutil was going well this morning, the fifth
:07:08. > :07:13.fastest, he said that time at one of the worst times in terms of the
:07:14. > :07:22.conditions. Let's try to get an idea of how much grip there is.
:07:23. > :07:36.RADIO: The track is very dry. Lewis Hamilton reporting it is pretty dry.
:07:37. > :07:41.I would have thought it was not so much of an issue. It is more a
:07:42. > :07:48.question of having the tyre in its operating window. Inevitably, there
:07:49. > :07:52.will be some damp areas, some cooling water, which will affect the
:07:53. > :07:56.slick tyres. They are taking a fairly conventional line. If it were
:07:57. > :08:03.wet, they would be taking a karting line. Going wide off the rubber as
:08:04. > :08:08.you enter the corner and cutting back to get the best acceleration. I
:08:09. > :08:14.would be surprised if anybody goes out on the slick tyres. But let's
:08:15. > :08:20.see what happens. A puff of water as they enter Beckett. You have got to
:08:21. > :08:24.be watchful of the collecting points and the curbs, because they will
:08:25. > :08:29.retain the water a little longer. The curbs can stay slippery. Around
:08:30. > :08:35.a track like this, it is so high speed in so many areas, you get used
:08:36. > :08:38.to running out onto the wide line. That can be lethal in damp
:08:39. > :08:45.conditions if you are on a slick tyre. We saw Felipe Massa had a
:08:46. > :08:49.crash yesterday, doing extensive damage to his Williams. That was
:08:50. > :08:58.through running wide on the artificial grass. The rain may be
:08:59. > :09:01.coming down more heavily. We are already four seconds faster than the
:09:02. > :09:08.pace this morning. Jules Bianchi a bit quicker. Let's go back to Tom.
:09:09. > :09:13.One of the things we need to bear in mind, the rain is starting to come
:09:14. > :09:18.down, do you set the car up for the wet or dry? It looks as though the
:09:19. > :09:22.wet -- the race tomorrow will be dry, but qualifying is important,
:09:23. > :09:28.because it is difficult to overtake in the race. Do you maximise your
:09:29. > :09:33.performance for the wet conditions, compromising before the race, or do
:09:34. > :09:38.you put all of your eggs in the race basket? The teams are not doing a
:09:39. > :09:42.completely dry setup, they are trying to get performance this
:09:43. > :09:45.afternoon. Lewis Hamilton is already going quickly, the fastest first
:09:46. > :09:56.afternoon. Lewis Hamilton is already sector. A pretty long first sector.
:09:57. > :10:08.Pretty high G loading. He is well up on the fastest time at the moment.
:10:09. > :10:19.Impressive stuff so far. He is taking a wider line. A tricky
:10:20. > :10:27.corner, because you are carrying so much momentum into a tight
:10:28. > :10:33.left-hander. Then, the reed profiled exit, out onto the finish straight.
:10:34. > :10:40.One second quicker than Daniel Ricciardo. Yes, and Nico Rosberg is
:10:41. > :10:45.one second down. He has gone through in third place. Kimi Raikkonen got
:10:46. > :10:49.out of shape in the last corner. He just about recovered. He will not be
:10:50. > :10:56.allowed to keep that time, because if all four wheels go over the white
:10:57. > :11:06.line, they will lose big-time. A couple of potential stars for the
:11:07. > :11:12.future there. RADIO: We have more rain on the pit wall. Very light,
:11:13. > :11:17.but it is raining again. In other words, get on with it, we cannot
:11:18. > :11:23.waste any opportunities! It took him a while to make his point! Do not
:11:24. > :11:31.hang around! Lewis Hamilton fastest, one second faster than Nico
:11:32. > :11:35.Rosberg on the opening run. The drivers are sensitive to any small
:11:36. > :11:41.spots of rain. Your visor is exposed to the air flow. There is a small
:11:42. > :11:45.deflector on different the chassis to take some of the turbulence over
:11:46. > :11:50.the top of the helmet, to keep some of the flies from hitting the
:11:51. > :11:56.helmet. But any spray at all from cars in front, any light rain, you
:11:57. > :12:00.will see that, and you are so sensitive to how much grip that may
:12:01. > :12:13.give or take away in certain areas. A big Formula One fan, watching from
:12:14. > :12:25.the pits. RADIO: We can go to slick tyres if we get the temperatures up.
:12:26. > :12:29.It is interesting to see that Lewis Hamilton says that slick tyres may
:12:30. > :12:35.be a prospect. Percentage-wise, that could indicate we will see some cars
:12:36. > :12:39.coming out on slick tyres soon. Kimi Raikkonen still on the
:12:40. > :12:44.intermediate. They may have some of the slick tyres with the blankets
:12:45. > :12:51.turned up higher. The risk is you start curing the rubber. You know
:12:52. > :12:58.you are going to give up that set, the teams might go out with the
:12:59. > :13:02.blankets around 85, 90 degrees, but you can put more temperature into
:13:03. > :13:06.them. They need to make sure they are in the racing line, or else they
:13:07. > :13:12.will lose temperature very quickly. Kimi Raikkonen trying to pull
:13:13. > :13:19.himself out of the drop zone. He needs to finish this lap. There is
:13:20. > :13:27.some more rain falling. It depends on how much rain we get. All four
:13:28. > :13:33.wheels inside, just about. That is quite a competitive group, he could
:13:34. > :13:41.do with more speed. Significantly slower than Fernando Alonso. Not at
:13:42. > :13:47.all comfortable. These are almost dry conditions. With it being a
:13:48. > :13:50.softer compound, it raises the car up 2.5 millimetres, which affects
:13:51. > :13:57.performance. You start to overheat the blogs, and in the first phase,
:13:58. > :14:03.you lose grip. As you can wear the block down, you can start benefiting
:14:04. > :14:07.from the softer compound. But I do not think anybody will run them down
:14:08. > :14:13.that far in this session, if it remains as is. A big oversteer. He
:14:14. > :14:21.must have had a moment of remembering yesterday morning. He
:14:22. > :14:27.has got the 200 mark on his helmet, it is his 200th Grand Prix. It will
:14:28. > :14:34.be in his mind, the incident yesterday. Extensive damage done to
:14:35. > :14:42.the Williams. He will get through into the top 16. Let's see how far
:14:43. > :14:46.up the order he goes. That is a good effort from Felipe Massa. Just a
:14:47. > :15:00.federal Fernando Alonso. Lewis Hamilton at the top. RADIO: What is
:15:01. > :15:08.the downside of going option? If it does not rain, we will not have a
:15:09. > :15:16.new set for the race. All concerned about how many tyres they have for
:15:17. > :15:22.the race itself. With seven minutes to go there is a
:15:23. > :15:32.chance that the track will get quicker. But Mercedes I think can
:15:33. > :15:35.afford to just react to that. If you know you're comfortable in these
:15:36. > :15:39.conditions to be true to the next of qualifying, there is no point
:15:40. > :15:51.scrubbing off any further tyres. Felipe Massa there but that massive
:15:52. > :16:06.slide. Another view from on-board. Fourth gear. The straight drops down
:16:07. > :16:11.slightly towards the corner. The Chancellor of the Exchequer on
:16:12. > :16:16.the right there. Some important visitors here. George Osborne
:16:17. > :16:29.getting a guided tour from Ron Dennis. Jensen Button putting on the
:16:30. > :16:38.medium tyres. Hoping that the track conditions... That reminds me of
:16:39. > :16:51.last year. Russia timed that change to the slick tyres perfectly. --
:16:52. > :17:00.Marussia. Here we are with Kobayashi. Can he keep the heat in
:17:01. > :17:13.the tyres? Trying to work the front tyres. You can just lose confidence
:17:14. > :17:17.on the slick tyres. But if you can build the heat you can really push
:17:18. > :17:22.on. Anywhere with damp patches than the tyres will lose surface
:17:23. > :17:36.temperature. This is occurring at theme. He's tyres are so sensitive.
:17:37. > :17:43.-- these tyres. Apparently there is a problem. He
:17:44. > :17:47.should have kept going there. But there is some kind of technical
:17:48. > :17:55.issue causing a problem for the Caterham. Not the tyres, something
:17:56. > :18:03.else wrong with the car, they have been reporting. Mercedes sitting
:18:04. > :18:08.ready to react if anyone heads out on the slick tyres. If you miss the
:18:09. > :18:21.window now, one fly lap could be enough. It has happened before. They
:18:22. > :18:24.cannot afford to be too complacent. The lap times can change so rapidly
:18:25. > :18:33.once the slick tyres, to temperature. Seven or eight cars now
:18:34. > :18:39.heading out on the medium tyres. Gutierrez is almost tyres and he has
:18:40. > :18:45.done a pretty good set. Mercedes now sending Rosberg out on the medium
:18:46. > :18:57.compound tyres. Ferrari, quick change of tyres down. McLaren going
:18:58. > :19:03.out on the option tyres. Button is on the slick tyres as well and has
:19:04. > :19:12.just had the fastest sector of anyone. We're watching Gutierrez now
:19:13. > :19:19.on those slick tyres. Looking pretty fast at this stage. Fastest in the
:19:20. > :19:23.middle sector of anybody. So definitely time for the slick tyres.
:19:24. > :19:33.And anyone who has set the time has got to go back out there. You have
:19:34. > :19:38.got to start again from scratch. Button on his way to being the
:19:39. > :19:46.fastest man. Then the question is how many lap you can get out of the
:19:47. > :19:58.tyres. A good lap from Max Chilton. Just a hint slower than Gutierrez.
:19:59. > :20:07.Jensen Button, he has lost a lap! All four wheels over, he will lose
:20:08. > :20:14.that lap! Felipe Massa and Sebastian Vettel in the pit. They have got to
:20:15. > :20:22.get a move on. Sebastian Vettel has just gone out. Alonso is out. Coming
:20:23. > :20:32.through the last corner. All four wheels beyond the white line. That
:20:33. > :20:42.time will be disallowed. Caterham having another issue. We briefly had
:20:43. > :20:48.a yellow flag on one section of the track. It could have been on that
:20:49. > :21:04.sector. That has been cleared away. There we go, Marek Stech backed --
:21:05. > :21:11.Ericsson. He goes through the gravel and onto
:21:12. > :21:17.the grass. A bit of gravel rash, as they like to call it in the
:21:18. > :21:21.industry. But no real damage. Nothing coming up on the screen yet
:21:22. > :21:28.about Button and his time being taken away. It has now. So his time
:21:29. > :21:51.has been deleted. So Jules Bianchi is currently fastest. On-board now
:21:52. > :22:00.with Kabila. ) in the drop zone with just over a minute to go. --
:22:01. > :22:06.Raikkonen. Hamilton starting to set the pace in the first sector. Is
:22:07. > :22:14.going to get through and who will fail to make it? Jules Verne on a
:22:15. > :22:30.lap and should be able to make it. It is all going to come down to the
:22:31. > :22:43.last few seconds. Alonso! He is in the drop zone. Does he have another
:22:44. > :22:48.issue? I wonder if there's something connecting those incidents. A lot of
:22:49. > :22:58.people go faster in that zone of course. What is Raikkonen doing? He
:22:59. > :23:03.has just come over the line. He could still get a lap in. But Alonso
:23:04. > :23:13.is out. He's not going to make it back. Sutil getting out of the car
:23:14. > :23:16.and all change here. That is also where we saw Alonso off track.
:23:17. > :23:28.Felipe Massa fighting the car all the way. There is Alonso. The
:23:29. > :23:31.session is over. Both of the Williams in the drop zone at the
:23:32. > :23:36.moment. So these are crucial wraps. And they had the yellow as well
:23:37. > :23:48.which will make it incredibly difficult. Reacting to that yellow
:23:49. > :23:56.flag. Everyone pouring back into the pits. And both Williams, they will
:23:57. > :24:04.not be into the second part of qualifying. What a turnaround. The
:24:05. > :24:09.true front row men from Austria. What has happened here. Both
:24:10. > :24:15.Williams failing to get through the first part of qualifying as both of
:24:16. > :24:22.the cars. Alonso and Raikkonen have failed to get through to the second
:24:23. > :24:29.part of qualifying. That is astonishing. A complete turnaround
:24:30. > :24:41.for Williams. Both out. And Ferrari as well. It shows a strategic error
:24:42. > :24:47.for Williams and Ferrari. Not getting the drivers out at the right
:24:48. > :24:51.time. The driver has to make sure he takes responsibility for making the
:24:52. > :24:57.call I would say. You need the information from the team of course.
:24:58. > :25:04.But bad decisions, bad day in the office. Marco Mattiacci, is he going
:25:05. > :25:10.to find someone to blame? Because that is chaotic it really should not
:25:11. > :25:15.have happened. Adrian Sutil walks back, he would have made it through
:25:16. > :25:21.but of course he has abandoned his car so will not take any further
:25:22. > :25:27.part in the qualifying. We saw those cars ahead backing up. Certainly
:25:28. > :25:38.nothing to do with Alonso. He was on his own. The gravel just about does
:25:39. > :25:42.its job. It looks as if the rain has started to fall so he corrects and
:25:43. > :25:48.goes wide. Then does he have a spin? They were caught out with rain
:25:49. > :25:58.at the back of the circuit in the closing moments. Definitely got more
:25:59. > :26:03.slippery just about section. Just caught out Alonso and several
:26:04. > :26:11.others. You had to be out of it earlier than that. And I think
:26:12. > :26:24.Williams were in the same trouble. RADIO: We are out.
:26:25. > :26:36.Unbelievable. The front row cars from Austria are out. Marussia into
:26:37. > :26:51.Q2 for the first time since Ultram. -- since Ultram. -- Belgium.
:26:52. > :26:56.Those conditions can throw it up. If you just missed that William -- that
:26:57. > :27:01.window where you need to be on the slicks. It is your worst nightmare
:27:02. > :27:04.because you cannot get the temperature of the tyres up. You're
:27:05. > :27:10.getting desperate but there is no grip on the track. It is always
:27:11. > :27:16.tricky when you have these wet conditions and then tomorrow looks
:27:17. > :27:20.like it is going to be dry. Many people will still go for dry. It is
:27:21. > :27:27.all about timing today. Getting the car out on the track at the right
:27:28. > :27:32.time. You have to focus on being on the track at the right time today. A
:27:33. > :27:38.real cat and mouse qualifying session. A shocker for some and
:27:39. > :27:46.elation for others. Marussia in particular have done remarkably
:27:47. > :27:50.well. They were on the track when the track is coming to you and take
:27:51. > :27:59.advantage of that because you will never make up the time when it is
:28:00. > :28:02.wet. It is all about timing. If they can do well in the second session
:28:03. > :28:07.who knows what would happen. But such an achievement to get through
:28:08. > :28:11.to Q2. When you have these shop changing conditions when the track
:28:12. > :28:17.was dry up pretty quickly, these guys have nothing to lose. When
:28:18. > :28:21.conditions are unstable, roll the dice a bit, but on the slick tyres.
:28:22. > :28:34.And it just rained at the right time. In that session, Q2 is a
:28:35. > :28:39.different ball game. And of course Max has a quick penalty so good news
:28:40. > :28:42.for him. He's not thinking about the gearbox at the minute! He's thinking
:28:43. > :28:47.about what it would be like to make the final qualifying. They have
:28:48. > :28:51.surprised people to get the point that they have. They are ninth in
:28:52. > :29:05.the championship and things are looking up for Russia. -- Belgium.
:29:06. > :29:11.-- Marussia. It is intermediate tyres now, the track is stable. So
:29:12. > :29:15.probably a couple of runs now on the intermediate tyres to try to get a
:29:16. > :29:24.feel for the conditions. And for Q3 they might get that little drying
:29:25. > :29:30.window again. I just had that feeling, I love
:29:31. > :29:39.Daniel Ricciardo. He is young and ambitious, he has brought a new
:29:40. > :29:55.level in my opinion to rebel. -- to Red Bull. He is a joy to watch. The
:29:56. > :30:02.cars are tricky to drive in these conditions. Toro Rosso have had a
:30:03. > :30:21.lot of friendly fire in their own team. Here is Q2. The track has
:30:22. > :30:25.become more slippery. Not all of them are on the intermediate tyres.
:30:26. > :30:29.The more Russia cars making sure that they are early out, what an
:30:30. > :30:36.opportunity for them, but it might be tough for them to get any
:30:37. > :30:42.further. It is a question of how far up the top 16 they can get. They
:30:43. > :30:48.have confidence in the car, making the option slick tyres work. But
:30:49. > :30:53.now, everybody is out on intermediates. If the rain remains
:30:54. > :31:00.constant, the drivers will be able to deliver what their potential is.
:31:01. > :31:05.It has just been updated, all of the lead group has gone out on the
:31:06. > :31:11.intermediate tyres. Lewis Hamilton not yet out, just looking at what
:31:12. > :31:16.everybody else is doing. It looks as though intermediates are the choice.
:31:17. > :31:20.It is about getting into the top ten, you will not win pole position
:31:21. > :31:25.from this session, but you will get into the top ten, and then you are
:31:26. > :31:29.in the battle for pole position. That is what Lewis Hamilton has got
:31:30. > :31:35.his mind set on. He took it last year, Nico Rosberg has had the edge
:31:36. > :31:40.in qualifying over the last couple of events. Jules Bianchi was fourth
:31:41. > :31:48.fastest overall in that first session, and Max Chilton was sixth
:31:49. > :31:53.fastest. Ferrari, both cars are out, both Williams are out, definite
:31:54. > :31:56.opportunities for the other teams to score useful points. Ferrari, third
:31:57. > :31:59.in the constructors' score useful points. Ferrari, third
:32:00. > :32:10.but not that far ahead of Force India. RADIO: Everybody is on a new
:32:11. > :32:16.intermediate. Daniel Ricciardo being chased by Max Chilton. He has got
:32:17. > :32:25.enough of a gap to watch the Red Bull. I do not know that he can stay
:32:26. > :32:34.on terms with him for very long. Daniel Ricciardo sneaking it
:32:35. > :32:40.through. The quick left-hander, named after another venue of the

:33:20. > :33:25.Cruising through the entry to that corner, not taking any risks. The
:33:26. > :33:29.flashing red light is a standard part of wet conditions. Once the
:33:30. > :33:37.intermediate tyres go on, it triggers the rear light. The DRS
:33:38. > :33:48.snapping shut, that can be operated manually by the driver. Some traffic
:33:49. > :33:52.ahead. It is Esteban Gutierrez. This is where it has been slippery
:33:53. > :33:57.through practice, trying to put the power down here. That was very tidy
:33:58. > :34:03.and careful. The initial market is set. We are some way off what we
:34:04. > :34:12.were doing at the end of the first session, many macro for 2.3. Daniil

:34:34. > :34:41.Mercedes engine, presuming he has a Lotus ride next year. Renault should
:34:42. > :34:44.be very happy with the initial stages! The press officer will
:34:45. > :34:51.quickly be getting out a press release! It has changed already,
:34:52. > :35:00.Nico Rosberg and Kevin Magnussen likely to go well. Nico Rosberg is
:35:01. > :35:08.quickest of all in the middle sector, but faster than him is Lewis
:35:09. > :35:12.Hamilton. Nico Rosberg is quickest. Five seconds slower than his pace
:35:13. > :35:20.that he set earlier on. Lewis Hamilton is already quicker than his
:35:21. > :35:31.team-mate. Be careful not to use the curb. It rises up and then drops
:35:32. > :35:41.slightly. Listen to him as he feeds the power in. Short shifting. He
:35:42. > :35:44.goes fastest, a big margin, too. We had several wet sessions in
:35:45. > :35:48.qualifying earlier this year, Lewis Hamilton always have the edge. You
:35:49. > :35:54.can see him flicking the engine dial, once you have completed your
:35:55. > :36:00.lap and you want to save as much of the ending -- engine as possible.
:36:01. > :36:07.Daniel Ricciardo has reported it is drying up quickly. Maybe you can get
:36:08. > :36:10.onto slick tyres. It was five minutes to go in the previous
:36:11. > :36:15.session when the first team headed out, just before, actually. They
:36:16. > :36:19.need to keep their wits about them. The call has to come from the
:36:20. > :36:29.driver. Then, they need to hope they do not get any rain. No change in
:36:30. > :36:34.position for Daniil Kvyat. Sebastian Vettel has gone fastest in the first
:36:35. > :36:38.sector. He goes fastest, an excellent lap from the four-time
:36:39. > :36:50.world champion. We will see the conditions, if it is not raining...
:36:51. > :37:01.Going quite here. Once you get out, you know you will have to get the
:37:02. > :37:06.laptop anyway. All four wheels over, the lap time would have been
:37:07. > :37:12.disallowed. Tom. There is no rain in the pit lane. Max Chilton has been
:37:13. > :37:17.into the pits and has put a new set of intermediates on. He has nothing
:37:18. > :37:21.to lose, he thinks it is not yet ready for slick tyres. Sebastian
:37:22. > :37:26.Vettel is within four seconds of the slick tyre time. They are getting
:37:27. > :37:31.into the zone out. Slick tyres going onto the Mercedes. Still seven and a
:37:32. > :37:37.half minutes to go. Timing is everything. You can leave it too
:37:38. > :37:46.late. Sometimes, you can put them onto early. Yes, if they are too
:37:47. > :37:49.early, you lose temperature. Sebastian Vettel's time has been
:37:50. > :37:59.deleted, he went beyond the track limit. It is not only applying at
:38:00. > :38:06.the end of the race -- at the end of the lap. It puts Sebastian Vettel
:38:07. > :38:10.into the drop zone once more. Jenson Button had a time disallowed, would
:38:11. > :38:15.it still enabled him to get through to this part of qualifying. A
:38:16. > :38:22.reasonable lap, or not anything that will chased Lewis Hamilton. They
:38:23. > :38:26.could do with some quick assistant to tell us when a driver has made a
:38:27. > :38:34.mistake around the track. They could be touchpads. RADIO: Hit this lap,
:38:35. > :38:43.your fastest lap has been deleted. That is recently good for the moment
:38:44. > :38:49.for Jenson Button, but once we see cars on slick tyres, it could be a
:38:50. > :38:54.different story. This is the replay. Quite clear, four wheels over. There
:38:55. > :39:05.should be something over, a pressure pad, it was pretty close, and it is
:39:06. > :39:08.unacceptable that we are in this situation where if you give the
:39:09. > :39:16.drivers the opportunity to take the gamble, if they get it right, they
:39:17. > :39:21.can get away with it, and half a tyre which would have kept him in.
:39:22. > :39:25.They need a way of persuading the drivers from taking that risk. It
:39:26. > :39:33.cost Lewis Hamilton dearly in Austria. He was very wide and he
:39:34. > :39:38.lost his lap time. It is affecting some of the other drivers as well. A
:39:39. > :39:42.pause before we see what people will do on their slick tyres. Nico
:39:43. > :39:53.Rosberg is waiting to go out on the slick tyres. A change for the Red
:39:54. > :39:59.Bull as well. Let's get an opportunity to see how quickly Nico
:40:00. > :40:05.Rosberg is going. 30.2 is the fastest first sector we have seen,
:40:06. > :40:11.from Lewis Hamilton. Tom. The wettest bit of this racetrack is
:40:12. > :40:16.here, in the pit lane. It is not getting any cars going over it. When
:40:17. > :40:20.you see the cars on their new tyres, they are getting a film of
:40:21. > :40:26.water, losing surface temperature, so the car is going to be a handful
:40:27. > :40:32.as it accelerates in the arena section. Nico Rosberg's first
:40:33. > :40:39.sector, not as quick as the intermediate. The fast corners might
:40:40. > :40:44.be different. But it is green, a personal best for him. A pretty good
:40:45. > :40:50.indication that the track is getting there. We also have Jules Bianchi,
:40:51. > :40:55.one second faster than Nico Rosberg in the first sector. The Marussia in
:40:56. > :41:01.these conditions is giving the driver is confident. That is a very
:41:02. > :41:08.good sector from Jules Bianchi. This is looking encouraging. We have
:41:09. > :41:11.Adrian Sutil, who has no chance of getting out of the drop zone,
:41:12. > :41:20.because his car was reached. Sebastian Vettel with the fastest
:41:21. > :41:28.first sector. RADIO: Nico Rosberg has found 0.1 in the first sector.
:41:29. > :41:34.Nico Rosberg, fastest. That is a big chunk of time over Lewis Hamilton,
:41:35. > :41:38.who set the time on the intermediate. You have got to be on
:41:39. > :41:45.the slick tyres. Everybody is on them. Esteban Gutierrez has gone
:41:46. > :41:50.quicker, a good lap. We will find out whether he gets to keep it,
:41:51. > :41:57.hopefully he does not get the time deleted. Jules Bianchi goes fastest
:41:58. > :42:03.of all. But I think he went a bit wide out of the last corner. Let's
:42:04. > :42:08.see what happened to Lewis Hamilton. He realises he is going to run wide,
:42:09. > :42:17.so he takes the car wide. A massive oversteer. All the time, losing
:42:18. > :42:23.temperature in these tyres. Tricky conditions. Lewis Hamilton getting
:42:24. > :42:30.caught out, in seventh place at the moment. Jean-Eric Vergne is now
:42:31. > :42:34.fastest, in the Toro Rosso. Sebastian Vettel is second, Jules
:42:35. > :42:39.Bianchi third, Max Chilton fourth, this is a real turnaround. Lewis
:42:40. > :42:44.Hamilton is now putting it together a bit more accurately and cleanly,
:42:45. > :42:45.although Nico Rosberg is faster than anybody in the first and second
:42:46. > :42:59.sectors. Jenson Button has got some work to
:43:00. > :43:07.do. All of them will be going out on the slick tyres. Nico Rosberg has
:43:08. > :43:11.gone quickest by a huge margin, 1:30 5.1, huge chunks taken out of the
:43:12. > :43:21.lap time, as long as you keep it on the island. Getting the benefit of a
:43:22. > :43:23.toe. Yes, from Jules Bianchi. He is the fastest man of all in this
:43:24. > :43:46.session in the middle sector. If he keeps it altogether,
:43:47. > :43:52.session in the middle sector. If he from the crowd. That is one thing,
:43:53. > :43:59.you can hear the crowd, which is pretty unique. A lot of energy,
:44:00. > :44:10.people getting together and showing their appreciation. It is in the top
:44:11. > :44:16.ten, that is the main thing. The other Sauber of Esteban Gutierrez

:02:26. > :02:34.there is more you can do wrong than right. It is about extracting not
:02:35. > :02:40.the maximum but making sure you go into the next session. We have done
:02:41. > :02:45.that today. It is the interaction between our strategy guys and the
:02:46. > :02:49.drivers and the engineers. There is a permanent exchange, this is
:02:50. > :02:54.important. The drivers do not see who is improving, and it is

:03:57. > :04:01.and see. RADIO: It is pretty slippery. That is what he wants,
:04:02. > :04:13.because it means nobody can improve on the time he has set. He did not
:04:14. > :04:15.sound disappointed! It is not looking likely that anybody will
:04:16. > :04:23.improve, but this has been one of looking likely that anybody will
:04:24. > :04:30.those topsy-turvy sessions. But now, it is what was expected, Mercedes
:04:31. > :04:41.first and second. Lewis Hamilton could control this. He could afford
:04:42. > :04:55.to watch the conditions. If he feels it might be marginal, he could run
:04:56. > :05:05.wide and have a yellow flag. Getting a feel for the level of grip out
:05:06. > :05:10.there. RADIO: Tell Lewis Hamilton he needs to speed up. That is the
:05:11. > :05:18.benefit of him being ahead of his team-mate. Lewis Hamilton and his
:05:19. > :05:37.engineer have learned from their mistakes earlier in the year, going
:05:38. > :05:48.out behind Nico Rosberg. They are about to see the chequered flag. Did
:05:49. > :05:56.they crossed the line? They did. Sergio Perez did not. We do not
:05:57. > :06:00.think the sector times are going to improve. It is Sebastian Vettel's
:06:01. > :06:03.best, although he had not set a time. It is quite some way off the
:06:04. > :06:05.fastest from the earlier part of the session. Sergio Perez only missed
:06:06. > :06:10.the flag by a couple of seconds, so I think that was a mistake. Was that
:06:11. > :06:14.because Lewis Hamilton was slowing things down? Yes. The session is
:06:15. > :06:18.coming to an end, there will not be any major changes. Third place would
:06:19. > :06:21.be outstanding from Sergio Perez. He qualified fourth in Bahrain earlier
:06:22. > :06:24.this year, but that would still be a stunning result for Force India, the
:06:25. > :06:29.local team. They are based literally over the road. Sebastian Vettel will
:06:30. > :06:34.set a time. He might be able to move up a little bit. Nico Hulkenberg has
:06:35. > :06:42.gone fastest! The times are coming down! Sebastian Vettel has gone
:06:43. > :06:52.quickest! In the last part of the lap, it is really dry! Nico Rosberg

:06:58. > :07:01.sixth place! What a complete turnaround on the last part of the
:07:02. > :07:04.lap! The last sector was the dry bit! It was slippery elsewhere! We
:07:05. > :07:06.were all caught out! The last sector made all of the difference, and Nico
:07:07. > :07:12.Rosberg, last year's winner, has taken pole position. Sebastian
:07:13. > :07:18.Vettel will be on the front row, and Jenson Button has qualified in third
:07:19. > :07:24.place. Who would have thought that? McClellan are having a difficult
:07:25. > :07:27.season. Lewis Hamilton is down in sixth place. Nico Hulkenberg in

:07:46. > :07:52.to keep pushing, because there might be time. RADIO: That is pole
:07:53. > :07:56.position, well done! The fourth of the year for Nico Rosberg, he
:07:57. > :08:04.matches Lewis Hamilton. His first at Silverstone, where his father set a

:08:11. > :08:18.for Mercedes, and his eighth career pole position. What a surprise.
:08:19. > :08:25.Lewis Hamilton, why did he not finish the lap? We do not know. That
:08:26. > :08:31.is the story, he is still to emerge. He was not quicker in the first two
:08:32. > :08:37.sectors. Let's presume that he then decided, that is it, I am on pole
:08:38. > :08:41.position. We saw Nico Hulkenberg pull out an amazing final sector,
:08:42. > :08:48.and then Sebastian Vettel, and then Nico Rosberg continued. Absolutely
:08:49. > :08:54.phenomenal. Nico Rosberg takes pole position, from Sebastian Vettel and

:09:17. > :09:20.it will be an amazing race. Both Lewis Hamilton and Daniel Ricciardo
:09:21. > :09:25.the big losers, because Daniel Ricciardo has finished in eighth
:09:26. > :09:28.place. He lost out hugely, when he had been looking competitive all the
:09:29. > :09:34.way through. One of those bizarre sessions. It was not a question of
:09:35. > :09:40.what the lap was the liver in, it is just one sector of 26.5 seconds that
:09:41. > :09:45.changed everything. The crowd cannot quite believe it, Nico Rosberg is

:09:53. > :09:57.they were thinking that Lewis Hamilton had it in the bag. We all

:10:25. > :10:29.The contrasting fortunes of the British writers, Jenson Button is
:10:30. > :10:31.delighted with third place, I would expect Lewis Hamilton to keep his
:10:32. > :10:48.helmet on for a while. Both of the McLaren 's car -- the
:10:49. > :10:56.McLaren cars have done well. Toro Rosso have lost out, but they are
:10:57. > :11:03.still in the top ten. An outstanding 12 place for Marussia. They might be
:11:04. > :11:05.able to scrape some point again, as they did in Monaco. Max Chilton has
:11:06. > :11:21.the penalty. A remarkable qualifying session,
:11:22. > :11:31.Mercedes on pole position, sixth place with Lewis Hamilton.
:11:32. > :11:36.What a sensational session. Why did Lewis Hamilton not finish his lap?
:11:37. > :11:42.He felt the lap was worse, he bailed out. It was unfortunate, because
:11:43. > :11:49.there was a lot of time found at the end. A huge surprise. Yes, these
:11:50. > :11:55.conditions are always very tricky. In the first run, the third sector
:11:56. > :12:00.was a lot slower, because there was fresh rain coming in, so in the
:12:01. > :12:04.second run, the first two sectors were down, so it did not look like a
:12:05. > :12:09.better lap, but the third sector was up quite a bit, because it had dried
:12:10. > :12:13.out. What was your radar telling you about the weather? We could see it
:12:14. > :12:21.coming in, but you cannot predict the drying.
:12:22. > :12:24.What an absolutely incredible qualifying session, we wondered
:12:25. > :12:34.whether it would be epic, it certainly was. Looking at Sebastian
:12:35. > :12:38.Vettel there, he will be absolutely thrilled to be on the front row.
:12:39. > :12:42.Nico Rosberg taking pole position, he will be more than delighted with
:12:43. > :12:49.that. The crowd were pretty dumbstruck with that, as were all of
:12:50. > :12:56.us. Me for one, that is for sure. The reality is, that was so exciting
:12:57. > :13:03.and unpredictable, and I am trying to pinch myself, is this the way the
:13:04. > :13:09.grid is going to set up? No Ferrari up the front, no Williams, and those
:13:10. > :13:12.are the three people. The big loss for us is Lewis Hamilton, bailing
:13:13. > :13:18.out, you could hear what Paddy had to say. He made the mistake, he did
:13:19. > :13:22.not realise there was so much time to be gained in the third sector. He
:13:23. > :13:28.had been the man, he thought he had it in the can. He has the speed to
:13:29. > :13:33.do this, it played into everyone else's hands. They were delighted to
:13:34. > :13:38.see him bail out. Nico Rosberg did not. Nico Hulkenberg made the big
:13:39. > :13:45.jump forward, he found where the time was, and he jumped and opened
:13:46. > :13:50.the door for everybody else. Force India, a very good start for them,
:13:51. > :13:54.but there are other sad tales, every driver would have told you why they
:13:55. > :14:00.should have improved. Let's hear from Christian Horner.
:14:01. > :14:08.One of your drivers gained and one lost out. The conditions are so
:14:09. > :14:12.tricky and isolated. We missed the window with Sebastian Vettel at the
:14:13. > :14:17.beginning and at the end with Daniel Ricciardo. But Sebastian did a great
:14:18. > :14:21.job. In hindsight, we should have run with Daniel, we did not think
:14:22. > :14:27.the track would be better. It just goes to show, with British weather
:14:28. > :14:33.you can never tell. It is not down to Daniel, he does what he is told,
:14:34. > :14:38.so between the train spotters, the pit wall, as a team we made the
:14:39. > :14:44.wrong call. But other teams have made worse course today. We got it
:14:45. > :14:49.right with Sebastian. At the end of the day, that was going to be damage
:14:50. > :14:56.limitation, and he ended up getting on the front row. Quite a boost for
:14:57. > :15:00.him. Absolutely. Just what he needed. Hopefully, he can have a
:15:01. > :15:05.good race. Daniel will be coming through as well. It is immensely
:15:06. > :15:09.difficult, we saw Ferrari and Williams go out, and whatever has
:15:10. > :15:21.happened with Lewis Hamilton. It is tricky, but we are in good positions
:15:22. > :15:26.for tomorrow. Do you think that you can win this race? Nico Rosberg is
:15:27. > :15:30.going to be to put in reality and Lewis Hamilton will be coming
:15:31. > :15:40.through. But we will do our best to give them a hard time. We can speak
:15:41. > :15:46.now to Toto Wolff. Is the cap in order of the Tour de France in
:15:47. > :15:51.Yorkshire as Mac I thought it was English! Being in Silverstone. What
:15:52. > :15:56.a day this has turned out to be. You sounded surprised when Nico Rosberg
:15:57. > :16:02.got pole position. Disappointment with Lewis Hamilton. Very
:16:03. > :16:09.disappointing. So many errors you can have in such a session. You have
:16:10. > :16:12.seen with Ferrari, sometimes it is just important to get into the next
:16:13. > :16:19.session. It was a misjudgement for sure. The second section seem to be
:16:20. > :16:24.much wetter than before for Lewis Hamilton. But the last sector was
:16:25. > :16:33.dry and there you go, you lose your point. Do you feel the grid is
:16:34. > :16:38.catching you a little bit now as Mac we have seen in the last sessions
:16:39. > :16:41.yesterday and today that we still had a solid margin. But it is a
:16:42. > :16:46.matter of time that they're going to come near, that is clear. You cannot
:16:47. > :16:56.keep such an advantage through the whole season. But we do not want to
:16:57. > :17:03.be complacent and we keep pushing. We can hear now from Lewis Hamilton.
:17:04. > :17:11.Was that a missed opportunity today? Yes. Why did you come in at
:17:12. > :17:16.the end? I do not know. I do not have much of an answer for you. Did
:17:17. > :17:25.you make that decision, or was it just wait a lap went? Just decided
:17:26. > :17:29.not to do a lap. You're obviously incredibly disappointed. Did you
:17:30. > :17:36.expect the circuit to dry out so fast? Obviously not, no. I do not
:17:37. > :17:42.really have anything to say to you at the minute.
:17:43. > :17:47.Absolutely lost for words. He so wanted that pole position and he
:17:48. > :17:52.thought he had it in the can. You just cannot speak. He is an
:17:53. > :17:59.emotional man. He wears his heart on his sleeve. He gives people
:18:00. > :18:03.ammunition to ask questions and analyse where he is in his own mind
:18:04. > :18:08.actually by being so lost for words. The easy thing would be to give an
:18:09. > :18:15.answer and say we will bounce back tomorrow. But he is so bitterly
:18:16. > :18:18.disappointed. He thought he had it in the bag. None of us expected that
:18:19. > :18:25.last sector to deliver that change in qualifying. It is a good reminder
:18:26. > :18:33.that it is not over until the chequered flag. He literally sounded
:18:34. > :18:38.as if he physically could not speak. It was a body punch that really blew
:18:39. > :18:43.him away. It was a mass of shock to him and just took him by surprise.
:18:44. > :18:49.He is the person in their and he should know what the surface is like
:18:50. > :18:53.and whether it can be quick enough or not. And to bail out with one lap
:18:54. > :19:02.to go in final qualifying is a huge error. And I'm afraid to say, Lewis
:19:03. > :19:09.Hamilton, you are to blame. The sun just coming out and certainly was
:19:10. > :19:14.shining on the top three. Nico Rosberg, a very dramatic
:19:15. > :19:19.conclusion to that qualifying session. You took pole position
:19:20. > :19:26.right at the end. Were you surprised by how much the track improved right
:19:27. > :19:30.at the end? It was quite crazy qualifying, just changing all the
:19:31. > :19:36.time which makes it difficult. Then in the end on the first lap with the
:19:37. > :19:41.soft tyres it started to rain quite a lot. We lost a lot of time there
:19:42. > :19:48.and then everywhere else it was also quite wet. I told the guys, that is
:19:49. > :19:54.it. Then we just came to a general conclusion, might as well go out and
:19:55. > :19:58.have a look at the track. If you do not have a look there is no chance.
:19:59. > :20:03.So at least go and have a look. Then it seemed like we should give it a
:20:04. > :20:07.go. But even then I still did not really believe that the track would
:20:08. > :20:14.be better. What made it was the last sector. I knew I had lost four
:20:15. > :20:18.seconds on the previous lap so even if I was slower than that lap I
:20:19. > :20:22.still have the chance of going a lot quicker in those last three quarters
:20:23. > :20:29.if it was halfway dry. And that is how it turned out. It's just worked
:20:30. > :20:39.out perfectly. But even across the line, I had to be there. I had to be
:20:40. > :20:43.as fast as possible to be able to do that last lap. As I crossed the line
:20:44. > :20:49.it went red instantly. It was a very close call. All in all it was just a
:20:50. > :20:55.good team effort with everyone working together, my engineers
:20:56. > :21:01.together with me. It is fantastic to have such a qualifying where
:21:02. > :21:08.everything goes well in the end. Very well done. And Sebastian Vettel
:21:09. > :21:15.comic you actually had to do a lap. What was going through your mind
:21:16. > :21:21.driving around the circuit? At the start of Q3 we went out as
:21:22. > :21:27.one of the last cars. And just preparing the flying lap it started
:21:28. > :21:32.to rain. So I had that last sector and then there was no point and we
:21:33. > :21:39.aborted the lap. At that time it was impossible to set a decent time on
:21:40. > :21:46.the slick tyres. Then we were back in the garage waiting. And we said
:21:47. > :21:53.OK we might as well go out. We will go out on the dry tyres. And we were
:21:54. > :21:57.one of the first ones to go out for one flying lap in the end. It was
:21:58. > :22:02.quite difficult to believe that it would be dry enough. It is a funny
:22:03. > :22:08.place. It was a weird session full stop a
:22:09. > :22:13.lot of rain, no rain, drizzle, very fine rain almost like spray. I think
:22:14. > :22:18.England is the only country where you can get these kind of conditions
:22:19. > :22:23.changing so quickly. Incredibly difficult to know what is coming. So
:22:24. > :22:28.on the flying lap you approach the first turn and it is difficult to
:22:29. > :22:32.know how much risk you can take. Eventually you have to take some
:22:33. > :22:39.risk because I wanted to set it up. So I am happy that it turned out
:22:40. > :22:44.very positive. And starting from the front row tomorrow.
:22:45. > :22:50.And Jenson Button, changeable conditions. You were there or
:22:51. > :22:57.thereabouts. How happy are you with the result today? I know it is only
:22:58. > :23:05.third in qualifying but for us at the moment and for the last 18
:23:06. > :23:09.months, we had no chance of getting this result. It is nice in front of
:23:10. > :23:14.the home crowd to qualify well. And all the way through qualifying the
:23:15. > :23:21.pace was there. Not compare to the Mercedes. But with everyone else
:23:22. > :23:27.pace was there. When I did my lap in Q1 on the option tyres in the dry, I
:23:28. > :23:33.was about two seconds quicker when I did it. I made the mistake of losing
:23:34. > :23:38.the rear on the last corner so was disallowed. I thought I was going to
:23:39. > :23:45.be out so to come through and to be third in Q3, it is a good result for
:23:46. > :23:51.today. I'm really happy that I could do it here in front of the home
:23:52. > :23:57.crowd. What a day for Jensen Button. And a
:23:58. > :24:05.great lap from Nico Rosberg. Take as round this one, boys. He was already
:24:06. > :24:10.pushing Lewis Hamilton on the radio. He knew when he started he
:24:11. > :24:14.was not going to be able to cross the line for the chequered flag
:24:15. > :24:19.dropped. That allowed him to have this lap.
:24:20. > :24:24.Inside the clock bit they will be able to see every few metres where
:24:25. > :24:34.they are in comparison to their best lap. -- the cockpit. He will know
:24:35. > :24:42.that he was not going faster. It is some way before the end of the lap.
:24:43. > :24:46.That was Lewis Hamilton that pulled out of the way. It was the last
:24:47. > :24:53.sector of the separate but was actually wet. At this point he might
:24:54. > :24:58.be down but there was no hope that it could be something when he came
:24:59. > :25:06.round to it. At this stage they are still struggling for the lap time.
:25:07. > :25:12.There was no indication. As he comes out of the last part onto the
:25:13. > :25:20.straight he was able to start to feel the grip and game that
:25:21. > :25:25.performance from the option tyres. This was where it was quite wet
:25:26. > :25:31.before he goes down the three years. Mrs the apex by a long way. So still
:25:32. > :25:36.not at the optimum speed through the corner. But coming into the last few
:25:37. > :25:46.corners, you just have to give it a go. Just get on the power it nice
:25:47. > :25:49.and drives for the line. The red lights telling him that was the end
:25:50. > :25:54.of the session. He would have to wait. To get the information from
:25:55. > :26:01.the team. He gets that and up comes the finger. That seems to be a thing
:26:02. > :26:06.with the German drivers! And had Lewis Hamilton continued the lap
:26:07. > :26:10.then Nico Rosberg would not be on pole. Even if he was slower there
:26:11. > :26:15.was no way, if he had committed himself to the lap, that Nico
:26:16. > :26:19.Rosberg would have been able to pass. So that could explain some of
:26:20. > :26:25.the reasons why Lewis Hamilton is so down. He actually handed them the
:26:26. > :26:30.opportunity. All the way through qualifying, the
:26:31. > :26:36.lesson of the day was you have to be on the circuit right until the end
:26:37. > :26:41.or you could make a mistake. Lewis Hamilton got track position. This is
:26:42. > :26:48.what he was missing against Nico Rosberg earlier in the year. But he
:26:49. > :26:54.pulled over and let him in instead of controlling the pace of his
:26:55. > :26:58.team-mate. This is the lap that he did not finish. This is the section
:26:59. > :27:05.that takes you through to Wellington. And then he pulled
:27:06. > :27:12.over. He decides it is too wet, I will let my team-mate through. Big
:27:13. > :27:19.error. Unless he has an issue with that car, that was the mistake that
:27:20. > :27:25.he made. He does accept that. He knows that he made a major blunder.
:27:26. > :27:31.He has handed the initiative in my opinion to Nico Rosberg and he could
:27:32. > :27:34.so easily have changed it. I think at that stage Lewis Hamilton thought
:27:35. > :27:39.it was in the bag. People like Sebastian Vettel whether one is
:27:40. > :27:45.rolling the dice. At this point I did not think anyone was going to go
:27:46. > :27:53.quicker than Lewis Hamilton. But you do know around here how the weather
:27:54. > :27:57.changes so quickly. You try telling that to the people at Ferrari, at
:27:58. > :28:04.Williams. No one is able to predict the time that it takes to dry up.
:28:05. > :28:08.That is the thing. You tell me when it is going to evaporate. As a team
:28:09. > :28:13.boss these weather conditions that you loved? I loved it. You always
:28:14. > :28:18.went the opposite way to what the big teams were doing. If they made a
:28:19. > :28:22.mistake or screwed up for whatever reason, you could just get lucky.
:28:23. > :28:29.Just like Nico Rosberg did not deserve to have pole position here
:28:30. > :28:33.he took all the best advantages of the situation. It played into his
:28:34. > :28:38.hands. And at this moment the season his head is in the right place and
:28:39. > :28:42.he looks very strong. And for that reason effectively he had deserved
:28:43. > :28:51.to get pole position. And Nico Hulkenberg, off the second row, let
:28:52. > :28:54.us hear from him now. That worked out well for some and
:28:55. > :29:00.not so well for others. It worked out well for you. How quickly was
:29:01. > :29:07.that circuit drying out? Yes, I had never felt and seen it
:29:08. > :29:11.drying up that quickly. It felt damp and no grip and then the next minute
:29:12. > :29:18.it stopped raining and was completely dry. It is really hard to
:29:19. > :29:23.judge what is going on out there. It was the right call to go out at the
:29:24. > :29:30.end. I thought it was not going to work, just do not crash the car. And
:29:31. > :29:35.then the other cars went out. But I think I was the first to set a lap
:29:36. > :29:43.time so was still suffering from damp patches. It set you up really
:29:44. > :29:48.well for tomorrow. It does. I just hope tomorrow is another good day.
:29:49. > :29:53.It is hard to know where we stand. Yesterday was a tricky day. We have
:29:54. > :30:07.to see what conditions are like tomorrow. And then put on the right
:30:08. > :30:15.tyres at the right moment. He is looking very excited, we will
:30:16. > :30:20.be talking about him tomorrow. You have raised for British teams,
:30:21. > :30:24.your Mercedes team is based in Brackley, but the British weather
:30:25. > :30:30.caught you out. Not really, it was tricky in the end. We were both well
:30:31. > :30:37.in the lead, the rain came down, and then we have to decide whether to go
:30:38. > :30:41.out or not. They both pushed. Lewis Hamilton thought the circuit was
:30:42. > :30:49.slower, and he stopped. Nico Rosberg kept on going. Can you clarify, it
:30:50. > :30:57.was Lewis Hamilton who aborted? Yes, it was his decision. But the other
:30:58. > :31:02.one proved you can go quicker. It seems that Nico Rosberg has been
:31:03. > :31:07.robbed of the green, he can do no wrong, but Lewis Hamilton keeps
:31:08. > :31:17.getting tripped up. Nico Rosberg was outstanding again, to grab the pole
:31:18. > :31:22.position. Michael is here, you saw him in the
:31:23. > :31:28.garage earlier. What did you make of that session? It was pretty
:31:29. > :31:32.unpredictable at the end, it is hard for the teams, because it looked
:31:33. > :31:39.like the best lap was done by Sergio Perez. The track dries so quickly,
:31:40. > :31:43.Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg squeezed it in at the end. It is
:31:44. > :31:52.exciting for tomorrow. Hopefully, a bit of rain will make it a bit of
:31:53. > :31:56.fun. Michael, are you a jinx to Ferrari and Williams? You sound as
:31:57. > :32:00.if you are. It is helpful to the teams that invite me! Sebastian is
:32:01. > :32:06.there at the front of the grid, so that is nice! You had a lot to do
:32:07. > :32:17.with that? I think so, the look of the Irish, maybe! You will be
:32:18. > :32:22.watching. I will be with the Red Bull team tomorrow, and crossing
:32:23. > :32:26.fingers for both of them. I am a big fan of Daniel, he has been amazing
:32:27. > :32:31.this season, he has dealt with the pressure phenomenally well. How
:32:32. > :32:37.about you and driving? Do you get out to drive fast cars? I have not
:32:38. > :32:44.been in a Formula One car yet, we will see! It is a massive dream for
:32:45. > :32:50.me. I do not even own a car, I just have a motorbike, but I love it.
:32:51. > :32:56.Whenever I can, I go karting, whenever possible. It is good to see
:32:57. > :33:02.you, stay with us for a moment. A prediction for tomorrow? I still
:33:03. > :33:08.believe that Lewis Hamilton can overcome his troubles, if he can
:33:09. > :33:14.prepare himself, he knows he has got the car and the speed, he can win. A
:33:15. > :33:18.lot of people wanting the same thing, we will have all of the
:33:19. > :33:26.action forward you live tomorrow, Michael will be here, join us on BBC
:33:27. > :33:29.Two. It is Nico Rosberg in pole position, Lewis Hamilton has got it
:33:30. > :33:53.all to do, but it is the British Grand Prix, see you then.
:33:54. > :33:59.The times are coming down! The last part of the lab is really dry! Nico
:34:00. > :34:07.Rosberg goes fastest! Make the most of your weekend,
