:00:27. > :00:27.Crashes. This is Formula One. Race 11. Bute pest, Hungary.

:00:28. > :01:25.-- Budapest, Hungary. Race day. Welcome to Budapest, stand

:01:26. > :01:33.by, stand by if yesterday's anything to go by. Qualifying is under way on

:01:34. > :01:37.the Hungaroring ring. A happy hunting ground for Lewis Hamilton.

:01:38. > :01:42.But first he has to survive the first 18 minute session with the car

:01:43. > :01:47.in one piece. Maldonado out in qualifying. Look at

:01:48. > :01:56.the flame and smoke coming out of his car. Jump out! Jump out! Major

:01:57. > :02:04.drama for Hamilton. A lot of teams are switching on the this soft tyre

:02:05. > :02:09.to go for maximum performance. Bianchi has knocked him out! Weather

:02:10. > :02:13.conditions are changing. We said before the start of the session

:02:14. > :02:20.there was a 30% chance of rain, and it has arrived. He's off! Magnussen

:02:21. > :02:29.might see that. He's crashed! Magnussen is in the barrier. He

:02:30. > :02:33.crosses the line and he goes fast. Is Vettel going to have his first

:02:34. > :02:37.pole position of the year or is it going to be stolen away once again

:02:38. > :02:42.by Rosberg. He comes across the line and he's done it, by quite a margin

:02:43. > :02:49.in the end. Nearly half a second, the advantage for Nico Rosberg.

:02:50. > :02:57.There was lots of things going through my mind. We need to do

:02:58. > :03:02.better. More than bad luck indeed. This is Lewis's team. They were

:03:03. > :03:08.working through the night to the essentially build him another car.

:03:09. > :03:11.Ten hours it took. David, what extraordinary bad luck Lewis is

:03:12. > :03:15.having at the moment. It is difficult to understand why he would

:03:16. > :03:20.be having all the bad luck in his car. Yes there's new technical in

:03:21. > :03:25.Formula One but some of which the smaller teams are getting a handle

:03:26. > :03:31.on it. It is just fate. These shots yesterday were shocking. Indeed.

:03:32. > :03:35.There was a high-pressure fuel line injecting fuel into the engine. That

:03:36. > :03:41.had a leak and the Marshalls had to work on that while Lewis walked

:03:42. > :03:47.away. A great job the mechanics did to build an entirely new car. It

:03:48. > :03:51.creates a lot of work overnight. Paddy said it is the worst mess of a

:03:52. > :03:56.car he's seen. Realistically it is about damage limitation for Lewis

:03:57. > :04:00.today. How faff do you think he can go? The weather is going to play a

:04:01. > :04:04.part today. He would have been looking forward to a dry race, but

:04:05. > :04:08.equally a wet race gives him an opportunity not to get on the podium

:04:09. > :04:13.but to win this Grand Prix. Making the right decision at the right

:04:14. > :04:17.time, Jenson Button won from 14th on the grid, so a lot can happen if it

:04:18. > :04:19.does become a full wet race. The wind is certainly getting up. Let's

:04:20. > :05:16.look at how the grid will line There are two starters from the pit

:05:17. > :05:20.lane. Kevin Magnussen and Lewis Hamilton. That was quite a shunt he

:05:21. > :05:25.took. They have had some work to do as well haven't they? They have

:05:26. > :05:31.indeed. They have had to replace the chassis. He locked up on the wet on

:05:32. > :05:37.the first corner. Corner. The speed and momentum took him into the

:05:38. > :05:41.barrier. A very big hit. Rosberg managed to get away with it, but

:05:42. > :05:44.Magnussen connected heavily. Rosberg coming across the front of screen,

:05:45. > :05:49.catching the end of the tyre barrier. It was when the rain first

:05:50. > :05:53.started. Is there anything Kevin could have done in terms of using

:05:54. > :05:57.Rosberg as a gauge in anyway? That's what I said in commentary at the

:05:58. > :06:01.time. The normally it is good to have a car in front of you because

:06:02. > :06:07.you can see if they have an issue. But the speed, 200 miles per hour,

:06:08. > :06:12.slip tyres, at that speed braking ten metres earlier not a big

:06:13. > :06:16.difference. And Kimi not getting through to stage two is ludicrous

:06:17. > :06:22.for Ferrari. I think his race engineer has to take it on the chin.

:06:23. > :06:26.He has an English engineer who normally talks to him, but his

:06:27. > :06:29.wife's having a baby so he is back home. Maybe that made the

:06:30. > :06:34.difference, but as a team they have to be responsible for getting the

:06:35. > :06:42.car out. He kept saying, are we alright, are we alright? But never

:06:43. > :06:45.made the push to go. Aying, are we alright, are we alright? But never

:06:46. > :06:51.made the push to go. You would - he had an average lap and Bianchi did a

:06:52. > :06:56.great job. Let's look at the current state of the championship. The gap

:06:57. > :07:00.between Nico and Lewis is 14 points. Hamilton has to keep that distance

:07:01. > :07:07.as tight as possible, with Rosberg being the bookies' favourite to win

:07:08. > :07:24.the race. Williams are third ahead of Ferrari.

:07:25. > :07:30.Just before the drivers left the garages there was a huge downpour.

:07:31. > :07:35.David and Tom caught up with them. I know this isn't lost on you but this

:07:36. > :07:38.is your sort of condition, so what's the special conversation with your

:07:39. > :07:44.engineers ahead of the race? It is not really our conditions. It is

:07:45. > :07:47.still too wet. We struggled to get tyre temperature in these

:07:48. > :07:51.conditions. It is so tricky, because there's really wet bits and dry

:07:52. > :08:00.bits. What's your strategy at the start? Go fast. What were the track

:08:01. > :08:05.conditions like on the way to the grid? Seemed to be completely dry.

:08:06. > :08:13.Sector one and the last sector is full wet. We'll see. I think not the

:08:14. > :08:18.wets. If there is no rain it will be dry quite quickly. Do you think you

:08:19. > :08:23.can take the fight to Rosberg in these condition? We'll try. A

:08:24. > :08:28.downpour on the way to the grid, more forecast on the way to the

:08:29. > :08:33.race. What's the discussion with your engineers? It was out on

:08:34. > :08:38.extreme and a bit difficult to know what's coming but for now we have to

:08:39. > :08:43.go with the best judgment with the laps that we had and see where we

:08:44. > :08:48.go. Six pole positions for Nico Rosberg. This is h third. He seems

:08:49. > :08:51.to have the Midas touch at the moment but has to stay out of

:08:52. > :08:56.trouble today. He's got 19 drivers here and two in the pit learnings

:08:57. > :09:01.including the human roller coast they are is Lewis Hamilton to deal.

:09:02. > :09:06.Jenny and Tom will be informing us from the pit lane and Dixie and Ben

:09:07. > :09:26.from the communication box. Nico Rosberg is aiming to win back

:09:27. > :09:31.to back grass for the first time in his career and do the double of the

:09:32. > :09:40.German and Hungarian Grand Prix for the first time in a decade. We are

:09:41. > :09:45.on intermediate tires but they've not moved away. Does he have a

:09:46. > :09:50.stalled car? Everyone else is away OK. The team may get a chance to get

:09:51. > :10:00.him on his way. He will drop to the tail of the field. I have no engine.

:10:01. > :10:06.It just went off. Daniil Kyvat being pushed into the pit lane. They will

:10:07. > :10:11.try to push that into the pit. It will be a third car if they can get

:10:12. > :10:15.frit the pit lane. News from Ben. I'm parked in the pit lane next to

:10:16. > :10:20.Lewis Hamilton, whose engine has just fired up. He'll be heading down

:10:21. > :10:24.to the hit lane exit any moment. My eyes are looking up as much as down,

:10:25. > :10:30.because I've looked at the radar, the next bout of rain is 30

:10:31. > :10:36.kilometres away to the south-east. According to the FIA wealth

:10:37. > :10:42.forecasters it is going to hit the track in 14 or perhaps as late as

:10:43. > :10:46.1425. We are going to get rain soon. Lewis Hamilton waiting in the pits.

:10:47. > :10:50.They are keeping the tyre blankets on as long as possible. He isn't

:10:51. > :10:55.allowed to do the formation lap so he has to wait until all the cars

:10:56. > :11:04.have passed the pit lane exit before he'll be released. It is drier on

:11:05. > :11:11.the front straight. Not expecting too many difficulties off the line

:11:12. > :11:15.but that concertina effect into a tight first corner. Once you are

:11:16. > :11:21.carrying momentum on a lot of weight in the car, 100 kilos of fuel at

:11:22. > :11:24.least, some may have underfueled for this race, because they are not

:11:25. > :11:28.expecting it to be fuel limited. When you run in damp conditions your

:11:29. > :11:33.lap time is slower, you use less fuel on any given lap. Intermediate

:11:34. > :11:38.tyres confirmed on Lewis Hamilton's car as well, so the whole field,

:11:39. > :11:41.whether starting on the grid or from if pit lane have chosen the

:11:42. > :11:46.intermediate wet tyre. This means they do not have to run both types

:11:47. > :11:50.of dry weather tyre during the race. As soon as you've used one of the

:11:51. > :11:54.wet tyres the obligation to use both types of dry tyre goes out of the

:11:55. > :11:58.window. They can choose now. If the track dries they can stay on the

:11:59. > :12:10.options. Per pose reminded by Force India not to pull into the empty

:12:11. > :12:12.grid slot left by Daniil Kyvat. It is Rosberg and Vettel on the front

:12:13. > :12:34.row. We get ready for the start of the

:12:35. > :12:40.Hungarian Grand Prix in tricky wet conditions. And away we go! Rosberg

:12:41. > :12:44.gets off the line. Line. Bottas has made a good start. Vettel trying to

:12:45. > :12:50.go to the outside. Hamilton waiting to start this race. Bottas trying to

:12:51. > :12:54.go to the outs into the first corner but has he got second from Sebastian

:12:55. > :12:59.Vettel? I think he has. Valtteri Bottas challenging Rosberg as Alonso

:13:00. > :13:02.on the move starting fifth. Now Alonso is trying to take third from

:13:03. > :13:05.vet investment goes around the outside and he's done it I think. He

:13:06. > :13:10.should have the inside line for the right-hander at the bottom of the

:13:11. > :13:17.hill. Fernando Alonso always mighty in these conditions. Bottas and

:13:18. > :13:24.Alonso using a according line. Hamilton's gone off! He's gone off

:13:25. > :13:29.at turn two! It looks a like there might have been contact towards the

:13:30. > :13:36.inside barrier. Has he lost it in the run down to turn two? Vettel up

:13:37. > :13:40.to the chicane. Vettel has passed the Ferrari. That's a surprise.

:13:41. > :13:46.Jenson Button is behind them, so Button has had a good start into

:13:47. > :13:50.fifth position. Ricciardo into sixth place in the other Red Bull. Then

:13:51. > :13:58.Hulkenberg is in seven. Look at the amount of spray on this section. .

:13:59. > :14:01.Then Hulkenberg is in seven. Look at the amount of spray on this section.

:14:02. > :14:04.A long -- a lot of standing water there. Raikkonen is in 14th

:14:05. > :14:11.position. In the background you will see the Ferrari. Up ahead of them...

:14:12. > :14:14.A slide for Perez, who gets away from it. The in the ground

:14:15. > :14:21.Magnussen, but Hamilton is well down. If you have any damage, Lewis,

:14:22. > :14:28.let us know. Top left. I checked my wing. The brakes just gave up. Copy

:14:29. > :14:35.that. Brakes are cold. Brakes are cold. Lewis Hamilton coming out of

:14:36. > :14:41.turn one. Struggling for wheel spin. As he goes under the bridge, he'll

:14:42. > :14:46.brake. Locks up and the momentum throws him both ways. You can see

:14:47. > :14:50.the front left-wing touches the barrier but didn't appear to break

:14:51. > :14:55.off completely. He got away with that. He's already got past a few

:14:56. > :15:03.cars. He's passed Magnussen as well. So he is up into 18th place. He

:15:04. > :15:11.passed Ericsson, Kyvat, Magnussen and Chilton. Hamilton up to 17th

:15:12. > :15:14.position and making progress. Still got good vibration somewhere. He

:15:15. > :15:20.might not be fully happy with the car but he is lapping a quickly at

:15:21. > :15:25.this point. Quicker than the cars around him. We are riding on board

:15:26. > :15:30.with Hamilton as he goes after Kamui Kobayashi in the Caterham. He comes

:15:31. > :15:37.through four up to the chicane. You can see the front wing end inner

:15:38. > :15:42.part left side is slightly damaged. You can see the separation from the

:15:43. > :15:48.flap. He's broken a little bit but nowhere near as bad as Rosberg

:15:49. > :15:54.through turn 13. Up into the last turn. The his gap last time around

:15:55. > :16:04.was just under six seconds. He has taken a with whopping second in the

:16:05. > :16:25.first two sectors so opening up the gap nicely.

:16:26. > :16:31.Ferrari. He is in the same boat as pretty much those around him and he

:16:32. > :16:39.has moved into 13th position. Knocking on the door of the top ten.

:16:40. > :16:46.Sergio Perez is not that much further up the road. Let's see how

:16:47. > :16:53.this began. It is turn 12 into 13. He was on the inside line. Kimi

:16:54. > :16:57.Raikkonen goes wide on the karting line and Hamilton stays on the

:16:58. > :17:03.inside. Kimi Raikkonen was able to power back, but in the end the

:17:04. > :17:10.all-important DRS activation point and Hamilton had that. An accident

:17:11. > :17:16.for Marcus Ericsson in the Caterham. He has hit the wall very hard. Turn

:17:17. > :17:20.3 at the bottom of the hill and it is a safety car and everybody will

:17:21. > :17:25.be gathered up behind the safety car. Do we see some pit stops for

:17:26. > :17:34.the slick tyres behind the safety car? A medical car is out as well.

:17:35. > :17:39.The race leader, Nico Rosberg, is picked up, and he did not come in.

:17:40. > :17:48.Jenson Button has decided to come in. So has Daniel Ricciardo. Just

:17:49. > :17:55.about everybody else putting the slicks on. It is the yellow marking

:17:56. > :17:59.on the tyre. It is the softer of the two compounds available and Nico

:18:00. > :18:04.Rosberg is going to lose out. You can see the marshals. They were

:18:05. > :18:09.doing the double thumbs up indicating the driver was

:18:10. > :18:14.communicating. We saw him walk away. Hamilton has come in for those

:18:15. > :18:22.option tyres as well. Everybody apart from Nico Rosberg.

:18:23. > :18:33.Side-by-side coming out of the pits. Niko Hulkenberg with Perez. Perez

:18:34. > :18:41.just managing to get out in front of Gutierrez. The others did not come

:18:42. > :18:50.in. This is crucial. They are removing this car much faster than

:18:51. > :18:56.we would have anticipated. On this replay you see him losing down force

:18:57. > :19:02.behind the Lotus. It has a wobble. There is a big impact to the front

:19:03. > :19:10.of the car. You saw the head and neck system helping. This looked

:19:11. > :19:17.like a slow stop for Jenson Button and are not very safe release. That

:19:18. > :19:26.will be interesting for the stewards to have a look at. You cannot put in

:19:27. > :19:36.danger any of the mechanics and the people servicing the cars. The guys

:19:37. > :19:40.who have gone to slicks, this looks like we could have the safety car

:19:41. > :19:44.coming in. You can see the response to that. All of those who stayed out

:19:45. > :19:48.are heading in. They looked as if they have to do it as well. This

:19:49. > :19:56.turns things around because they will be at the back of the queue, so

:19:57. > :20:02.a complete turnaround. It is a good stop from Sebastian Vettel. Where

:20:03. > :20:09.Isabel Thierry Bottas? I think he has lost out. Oh, yes, he has lost

:20:10. > :20:26.out hugely as a result of the slow stop. Two seconds slower than those

:20:27. > :20:33.around. Sebastian Vettel has come out in seventh position. Nico

:20:34. > :20:40.Rosberg is in fifth position. Clearly he has lost some crucial

:20:41. > :20:47.places. Daniel Ricciardo is losing this race because Jenson Button had

:20:48. > :20:53.a slow stop. RADIO: We are expecting some rain, difficult to be certain

:20:54. > :21:03.on intensity. The front four cars stayed out and they are still on

:21:04. > :21:07.inter. Ricciardo is at the front. JENSON BUTTON: Let's hope the

:21:08. > :21:14.weather forecast is OK. Jenson Button is on intermediates. McLaren

:21:15. > :21:20.have done a completely different strategy to everyone else. They are

:21:21. > :21:24.bargaining on the rain coming. Correction, Magnussen on the

:21:25. > :21:31.intermediates has not been into the pits yet. The safety car will be

:21:32. > :21:36.coming in at the end of this lap. Ericsson's car has been cleared

:21:37. > :21:44.away. There is an issue with Nico Rosberg's car. Look at the steam

:21:45. > :21:49.coming off. And a crash for a Lotus. It looks like Romain Grosjean. This

:21:50. > :21:53.will leave the safety car out there. This has happened under

:21:54. > :22:00.safety car conditions. He was on a slick tyre. He has been caught out

:22:01. > :22:05.by the wet that is still on the track. The safety car stays out a

:22:06. > :22:16.bit longer. Just caught the end of the accident for Romain Grosjean. It

:22:17. > :22:20.turned him around. He is proud of the Grand Prix, joining Ericsson in

:22:21. > :22:32.retirement. The safety car will be coming in on this lap, we think, as

:22:33. > :22:36.long as nobody else crashes. Daniel Ricciardo is the race leader and is

:22:37. > :22:40.on slick tyres and is being chased by Jenson Button who has switched on

:22:41. > :22:51.another set of intermediates. He will be in trouble as the race track

:22:52. > :22:56.dries out. We are getting ready for the restart and it is Daniel

:22:57. > :22:59.Ricciardo who leads them as they come out of the final turn and he

:23:00. > :23:05.launches his way to get this race started once again. It is Lap 14 and

:23:06. > :23:15.Ricciardo leads with button in second place. Huge pressure on all

:23:16. > :23:23.those on slicks. Sebastian Vettel going on the outside. Button has got

:23:24. > :23:26.passed on the intermediates. They are still working at the moment and

:23:27. > :23:32.he has to make the most of these laps. Magnussen will try and do the

:23:33. > :23:40.same on his more worn intermediates. RADIO: Rain looking less likely, so

:23:41. > :23:46.we should push. They are safe on fuel. Nico Rosberg is in fifth

:23:47. > :23:54.position and he is under pressure from Jean-Eric Vergne. Sebastian

:23:55. > :24:00.Vettel is through. Niko Hulkenberg found his way through somehow. It is

:24:01. > :24:06.difficult on the restart to get the tyres to work in these difficult

:24:07. > :24:19.conditions. Niko Hulkenberg has dropped down into 11th place. Jenson

:24:20. > :24:24.Button leads, but he is not escaping by as much as he needs to make a pit

:24:25. > :24:32.stop. It is quite good for Daniel Ricciardo. For Jenson Button it is

:24:33. > :24:40.not wet enough. Nico Rosberg has a little look at Sebastian Vettel.

:24:41. > :24:46.RADIO: We need your feedback on these tyres, let us know when they

:24:47. > :24:51.are dead. Here comes Nico Rosberg. He makes a move on Kevin Magnussen.

:24:52. > :24:55.Magnussen is still in the intermediate tyres and he is pushing

:24:56. > :25:04.Nico Rosberg out wide and that could give somebody else a chance. The

:25:05. > :25:09.Toro Rosso is on the right-hand side and Nico Rosberg him through. He is

:25:10. > :25:17.being cautious. Hamilton is not far behind him. Alonso goes through.

:25:18. > :25:24.There is only one car between Rosberg and Hamilton, would you

:25:25. > :25:30.believe it? It is Sebastian Vettel between Nico Rosberg and Hamilton.

:25:31. > :25:37.The British bulldog, never quit spirit. Hamilton is right back in

:25:38. > :25:42.this race. Sebastian Vettel is struggling in terms of the battery

:25:43. > :25:46.pack. He is looking for advice from the team in the middle of this.

:25:47. > :25:53.Jenson Button is leading the Grand Prix. We expect him to come in at

:25:54. > :25:58.the end of the lap. Kevin Magnussen is holding the whole group up.

:25:59. > :26:05.Jenson Button comes under pressure from Ricciardo. This will cost him

:26:06. > :26:10.20 seconds of total time. Ricciardo is all over the back of him. This

:26:11. > :26:17.will put button to the back of the field. It puts Felipe Massa into

:26:18. > :26:23.second place. Daniel Ricciardo leads the hunky Aryan Grand Prix. Felipe

:26:24. > :26:33.Massa is in second place. It is a huge gap, Magnussen has held them

:26:34. > :26:38.all back. Here comes Nico Rosberg, side-by-side with Jean-Eric Vergne.

:26:39. > :26:43.Hamilton is in the mix and Nico Rosberg lost his place again to

:26:44. > :26:47.Jean-Eric Vergne. He will have Sebastian Vettel and Hamilton right

:26:48. > :26:54.behind him. Nico Rosberg has to play the long game. He wants to win the

:26:55. > :27:06.Grand Prix, but the championship is a possibility. That lock-up with

:27:07. > :27:12.Alonso could be very costly. Niko Hulkenberg has stopped out on track.

:27:13. > :27:17.It could be the first time this year he will not score points, leaving

:27:18. > :27:22.Alonso is the only driver to have scored in every Grand Prix this

:27:23. > :27:31.year. Through the middle section of the chat. Sebastian Vettel is in

:27:32. > :27:36.between Rosberg and Hamilton. What a shame, his first retirement of the

:27:37. > :27:40.season, Hulkenberg. It looks as though it may have been a mistake or

:27:41. > :27:45.contact with another car. Let's see what went wrong. Out of 13 there is

:27:46. > :27:51.a battle between him and his team-mate. Magnussen goes into the

:27:52. > :27:58.pits and there is contact between them. Perry is doing a fantastic

:27:59. > :28:06.rally style slide. Rule number one is never make contact with your

:28:07. > :28:13.team-mate. He whacked the back of Sebastian Vettel's car. This is

:28:14. > :28:23.Maldonado making a move on Bianchi. Did he complete the move? Oh, no,

:28:24. > :28:33.you could feel that was coming. Maldonado's smashing season

:28:34. > :28:40.continues. Jules Bianchi with the benefit of hindsight, you might want

:28:41. > :28:44.to take a slightly wider line. They are running slower than in

:28:45. > :28:49.qualifying. Part of that is the fuel effect and part of that is the

:28:50. > :29:01.track. They are trying to learn the revolution of the tyre in these

:29:02. > :29:08.conditions. That is well over 140 miles an hour in normal, dry

:29:09. > :29:18.conditions. Jenson Button, after having to switch onto the slick

:29:19. > :29:22.tyres, is currently in 14th place. Not only the Red Bull in trouble

:29:23. > :29:28.with break temperature, the Mercedes in trouble with break temperature.

:29:29. > :29:36.Hamilton not able to get past. Rosberg is not able to get past

:29:37. > :29:43.Jean-Eric Vergne ahead of him. You have to follow the wheel tracks of

:29:44. > :29:49.the car in front. He has to find another way to put him under

:29:50. > :29:54.pressure. You have got to be super confident to be the first man to

:29:55. > :30:01.start running off the tarmac and use those curves. Sebastian Vettel

:30:02. > :30:07.touched wide. Not much chance for Hamilton to overtake. Jean-Eric

:30:08. > :30:09.Vergne in the Toro Rosso is doing everything asked of him, this is

:30:10. > :30:25.outstanding for him. Jean-Eric Vergne is in fourth place

:30:26. > :30:29.at a time of year when driver contracts are being looked at. He's

:30:30. > :30:35.got to keep his head and see what he can do here. He's punching above his

:30:36. > :30:38.weight in terms of machinery. These weather conditions neutralising the

:30:39. > :30:43.performance advantage of the Mercedes. A couple of world

:30:44. > :30:50.champions putting pressure on the back of what could be the world

:30:51. > :30:55.champion this season. Nico Rosberg. Nico Rosberg holding on the fifth

:30:56. > :31:06.place. A crash! Sergio Perez crashes out of the last corner and we will

:31:07. > :31:11.definitely have safety car again. Sergio Perez hopefully OK. It was a

:31:12. > :31:16.heavy impact against the wall. Well, we have got a long way to go for

:31:17. > :31:20.this race. There is no need for the drivers to use the other tyre. That

:31:21. > :31:27.debris will take some time to clean up. He was fastest man on the first

:31:28. > :31:33.sector, I suspect he touched the wet on the outside of turn 14 and was

:31:34. > :31:40.spun around and ejected on the wall. It is good to see him getting out of

:31:41. > :31:45.the car. That was a hefty whack. That is carbon against concrete but

:31:46. > :31:51.he is fine. This may be too early for anybody to take advantage from

:31:52. > :31:58.putting on another set of tyres. Unlikely. It is a double non-finish

:31:59. > :32:03.for Force India. After having such a great season it has gone very wrong

:32:04. > :32:08.here. Both Hulkenberg and Perez are out. Tom? It is going to be marginal

:32:09. > :32:14.whether they can get to the end of the race on the tyres they've put

:32:15. > :32:20.on. Pirelli reckoned if they can get to 30, but 23 is difficult. Another

:32:21. > :32:25.look at the accident. He went wide and touched the water. That spins

:32:26. > :32:29.car around. At that speed and amount of energy in the car there's very

:32:30. > :32:35.little the driver can do. The Ricciardo into the pits for another

:32:36. > :32:40.set... He has to be held. But he did the right thing, as the Williams was

:32:41. > :32:46.coming in. Felipe Massa coming in from second place. Fernando Alonso

:32:47. > :32:48.thing, as the Williams was coming in. Felipe Massa coming in from

:32:49. > :32:51.second place. Fernando Alonso presumably - Alonso has stayed out

:32:52. > :32:56.David, interestingly. He was the man making good pace. Under normal

:32:57. > :33:01.conditions these tyres have a life expectancy of around 20 laps. That

:33:02. > :33:04.previous during Grand Prix racing as the fuel burns down Ricciardo will

:33:05. > :33:08.have to make another stop this afternoon. There is no way he can

:33:09. > :33:12.make it to the end of the Grand Prix on that set of option tyres. Maybe

:33:13. > :33:18.Alonso trying to take it further and split the difference. The safety car

:33:19. > :33:25.I think. Button just had that didn't he? He did. That means that Button

:33:26. > :33:31.is 12th at the moment. Bottas 13th. Kobayashi's car has come to is a

:33:32. > :33:36.start at turn 12. That means that Chilton leads the Caterham group.

:33:37. > :33:40.Ericsson is out. We've lost both Caterhams, if that's confirmed. He's

:33:41. > :33:45.getting instructions as to which way is home I think. What's the quickest

:33:46. > :33:50.way to the airport. Fernando Alonso is the man in control of that

:33:51. > :33:53.restart. Initially he goes deep into the last corner. Watch Hamilton

:33:54. > :34:11.immediately on the attack as he tries to get past Sebastian Vettel,

:34:12. > :34:18.who has a pass by Ricciardo. You can see where the dry line is. On the

:34:19. > :34:24.inside here, the favoured overtaking spot, it is still damp. Hamilton

:34:25. > :34:28.close to the back of Vettel. Behind them you've got Felipe Massa.

:34:29. > :34:33.Estaban Gutierrez is returning in 8th place. He hasn't been that close

:34:34. > :34:37.since Monaco, where he crashed out of the Grand Prix and there was no

:34:38. > :34:46.opportunity to score any points. Behind them we've got Kvyat. This

:34:47. > :34:50.lead group is what we are focusing on at the moment. Alonso leading a

:34:51. > :34:55.Grand Prix. We haven't seen much of which that this year. I think the

:34:56. > :35:01.first time a Ferrari-engined car has lend Alonso will take full advantage

:35:02. > :35:11.if he can here. It's been a lean period for Fernando. Lined up fifth

:35:12. > :35:16.on the grid. Is there one on new tyres behind me? Ricciardo is the

:35:17. > :35:20.car behind on new tyres. But you want to use the advantage of a new

:35:21. > :35:26.tyre in the first coup of lapse. Yres. But you want to use the

:35:27. > :35:30.advantage of a new tyre in the first coup of lapse -- couple of laps. In

:35:31. > :35:33.the meantime Rosberg is lining up Jean-Eric Vergne in the Toro Rosso.

:35:34. > :35:37.Again no way through. It is fascinating. Despite the advantage

:35:38. > :35:41.that Mercedes have in terms of the car and the power unit, Hungary is

:35:42. > :35:45.proving as difficult as ever a track on which to overtake, particularly

:35:46. > :35:51.when you've still got some of these areas where it is not fully dry, on

:35:52. > :35:56.the inside of the corners. Hamilton still stuck behind Vettel. Then

:35:57. > :36:01.Ricciardo following them. Followed by Felipe Massa. Bottas, by the way,

:36:02. > :36:05.is all the way down in 13th place. The Finn has been on the podium in

:36:06. > :36:10.the last few events and looked to be in great shape in the early part of

:36:11. > :36:17.this race. Perhaps trying to go a long, long way on his harder medium

:36:18. > :36:22.compound tyres Raikkonen behind Gutierrez into the chicane at five

:36:23. > :36:29.and six. A massive kick there. Does he lose a position to Sutil? Seems

:36:30. > :36:35.to get away wit. Kimi Raikkonen is asking his team if he has a

:36:36. > :36:39.left-tyre puncture. They have telemetry. They are saying no, and

:36:40. > :36:45.he's saying there must be something wrong with his car. He has done 21

:36:46. > :36:51.laps on that set of tyres. Some of which the race leaders are due a pit

:36:52. > :36:55.stop. Alonso has done 23 laps on these tyres and Vergne would think

:36:56. > :36:59.would be getting to the end of the life of his tyres, because he's done

:37:00. > :37:03.25. All of this group will be heading into the pits soon. This is

:37:04. > :37:10.working out perfectly for Alonso, he's got that gap up top just over

:37:11. > :37:19.three seconds as Vergne holds the group behind. We need to be quick at

:37:20. > :37:23.that point. Think about how you use the tyres. OK. Ricciardo is well

:37:24. > :37:28.placed here. He's on much fresher tyres. We all know this group in

:37:29. > :37:32.front of him is due into the pits soon. When they do, he's being asked

:37:33. > :37:37.to really attack. It could be just the right moment for Daniel

:37:38. > :37:43.Ricciardo. His tyres are 14 laps fresher than those around him. It

:37:44. > :37:50.gives him more compound to play with. Interestingly Hamilton has

:37:51. > :37:54.just set the fastest first sector of anybody. None of which the group has

:37:55. > :37:59.come into the pits, so they are getting good mileage out of this.

:38:00. > :38:04.All the teams will be monitoring to see how far they can get on the

:38:05. > :38:10.tooifrmts Jean-Eric Vergne is losing four tenths of which a second to

:38:11. > :38:15.Fernando Alonso. Rosberg behind him. Started on pole. Led material stages

:38:16. > :38:19.but the timing of the first safety car didn't work in his favour. He

:38:20. > :38:27.had to do another lap while those fifth and further back were able to

:38:28. > :38:33.make an early pit stop. He's found himself stuck here behind Jean-Eric

:38:34. > :38:38.Vergne, but it's not the time to make a desperate lunge. This race

:38:39. > :38:44.probably more than most, but it may well shift to his team-mate, Daniel

:38:45. > :38:47.Ricciardo, as having the best opportunity here if the strategy

:38:48. > :38:52.works in his favour. No sign of which any rain around at the moment,

:38:53. > :38:58.but we do know there's a possibility we could get another shower before

:38:59. > :39:02.the end of the Grand Prix. How many more laps Alonso going to go here?

:39:03. > :39:07.He's opened up a 3.6 second advantage over this group. Rosberg,

:39:08. > :39:13.close to Vergne this time. His tyres may well be going off as well.

:39:14. > :39:19.Mercedes are ready. I think that looks like Rosberg. Box, box, box,

:39:20. > :39:24.but do the opposite. Do the opposite to Vergne means if Vergne had come

:39:25. > :39:30.in ahead of you, stay out. But Vergne didn't come in... Oh, Red

:39:31. > :39:36.Bull! Vettel has spun but not hit anything! If he grazed to wall, it

:39:37. > :39:41.would be interesting to see. My goodness me! Vettel vets, a very

:39:42. > :39:48.rare mistake. They were trying to get a bit of stuff out of the brake

:39:49. > :39:52.duct. It looked like a front wing adjustment. Rosberg rejoins and now

:39:53. > :39:59.we are going to see him put the hammer down. He is on a fresh set of

:40:00. > :40:06.tyres. He rejoins in 13th place, on another set of the soft tyres. He's

:40:07. > :40:11.got to really go for it. Let's look at what happened to Vettel, being

:40:12. > :40:16.chased by Hamilton. On the artificial grass, it goes around.

:40:17. > :40:20.Just a kiss of the concrete and he gathers his senses. But under

:40:21. > :40:24.pressure from Lewis Hamilton gets on toe that artificial grass where the

:40:25. > :40:30.water is. The rear suspension is strong in certain ways. We are going

:40:31. > :40:36.to see frit an on-board point of view. A massive correction. Full

:40:37. > :40:42.opposite lock. Waiting. Contact, and off he goes. Have you hit anything?

:40:43. > :40:48.Negative, but I've transported the tyres. Understood. It is all so calm

:40:49. > :40:53.isn't it? He so nearly did what Sergio Perez did. And Gutierrez is

:40:54. > :40:59.out. Estaban Gutierrez, who was running in the points, presumably

:41:00. > :41:03.the time the car's let him down. Lewis Hamilton tries to move in on

:41:04. > :41:09.Vergne certain. Vergne has control of the corner. Where's the grip

:41:10. > :41:13.level? Does he have the speed? Vergne will hold the outside a

:41:14. > :41:22.little bit into. Turn two. A bit of group there still. Lock up from

:41:23. > :41:25.Vergne. Great stuff. Good racing from Jean-Eric Vergne. One of the

:41:26. > :41:32.few chances he's had to race against the top flight drivers. Lewis

:41:33. > :41:36.Hamilton, round the outside of turn four. Last year we saw Romain

:41:37. > :41:41.Grosjeans do that, but this time Lewis Hamilton pulse it off. He knew

:41:42. > :41:45.he had to get past Vergne. Especially when he put a wheel on

:41:46. > :41:51.the grass. I wondered if he wondered if the back end would let go, but he

:41:52. > :41:56.judged it beautifully. Ricciardo is on fresher tyres and he's got to put

:41:57. > :42:02.in some quick laps around the other guys' pit stops. Would like to

:42:03. > :42:07.imagine it would be easier for him. Go to the tyres and keep the

:42:08. > :42:14.temperatures down. You are in position, you can't do much, try to

:42:15. > :42:19.save your tyres. He has rejoined in 13th place. He should be able to go

:42:20. > :42:25.to the end op that tyre. Vergne is in at last. From second place after

:42:26. > :42:29.driving a superb stint. That's an interesting strategy, Red Bull

:42:30. > :42:32.covering the bases. Daniel Ricciardo will have to stop again this

:42:33. > :42:35.afternoon to put another set of the option bases. Daniel Ricciardo will

:42:36. > :42:37.have to stop again this afternoon to put another set of the option or

:42:38. > :42:40.prime - his choice. Started on interimmediate. Who knows, might

:42:41. > :42:46.have to stop again if it rains, but if it stays dry the plan is for

:42:47. > :43:03.Sebastien Vettel to go to the chequered flag. Just in front of

:43:04. > :43:08.Vettel, both on the prime tyre. One more lap, one more lap. And then it

:43:09. > :43:12.will be the pit stop, the second pit stop for Lewis Hamilton and the only

:43:13. > :43:18.other pit stop he will need before the end of this race. Same story for

:43:19. > :43:22.Alonso, who leads. DRS is available and it is working. Here comes

:43:23. > :43:26.Rosberg on Bottas to take the place, I think, down the inside. Gives him

:43:27. > :43:32.a bit of a squeeze on the exit of the corner but gets through clean

:43:33. > :43:36.and Rosberg moves up into 9th position as a result of that. In

:43:37. > :43:43.fact 8th now, because Jenson Button has made a pit stop and has rejoined

:43:44. > :43:48.in 13th place. Rosberg is passed one. Has to pass several more to

:43:49. > :43:52.have a chance of challenging his team-mate Lewis Hamilton later in

:43:53. > :43:58.this Grand Prix. Hammer down for Nico Rosberg. We've heard it asked

:43:59. > :44:03.for Hammertime before for Lewis Hamilton, but it is Nico Rosberg who

:44:04. > :44:09.needs to get on wit. No sign of rain at this point. Fernando Alonso is

:44:10. > :44:14.still the leader. He has a slight advantage. Probably another one or

:44:15. > :44:20.two laps at this pace. Go for it, Luiz. As much as you can. Alonso has

:44:21. > :44:29.decided to come in. He's done 29 laps, an amazingly long stint on the

:44:30. > :44:33.soft tyre. Will he go for another set of soft? Sing he will. In these

:44:34. > :44:41.temperatures and conditions they are getting more life out of the tyres

:44:42. > :44:49.than they saw here on Friday. Kimi Raikkonen. That brings him out in

:44:50. > :44:54.fifth position. Hamilton is. In let's watch the pit stop. It is a

:44:55. > :44:58.little bit slow but he gets away clean. N let's watch the pit stop.

:44:59. > :45:02.It is a little bit slow but he gets away clean -- cleanly. A different

:45:03. > :45:08.strategy there for Mercedes. But he will still be out ahead of Rosberg.

:45:09. > :45:15.You can see the white side-wall tyre. That's interesting. The

:45:16. > :45:18.mechanic working to the last moment to try to get the brake tape off the

:45:19. > :45:44.brake duct. which he will have to come in before

:45:45. > :45:51.the end of the Grand Prix. It is interesting what Ferrari have done,

:45:52. > :46:04.they have gone for the fresh attire. -- fresh tyre. Daniel Ricciardo

:46:05. > :46:10.leads the race at the moment. His gap is back to Felipe Massa, so he

:46:11. > :46:15.has got something like a ten second advantage. Ricciardo has to get

:46:16. > :46:21.these laps in as quickly as possible. Hamilton is looking very

:46:22. > :46:30.good for a potential victory here today. What a turnaround if he can

:46:31. > :46:36.achieve that. Sergio Perez is now talking to Jenny.

:46:37. > :46:43.That was an awful crash. Tell us are you OK? What is the car like? I am

:46:44. > :46:49.really sorry for my team and sad for them. They did an amazing job and I

:46:50. > :46:54.am sorry now. It has been a very difficult weekend for us. Definitely

:46:55. > :47:01.points were possible today. The race was going OK up until that point.

:47:02. > :47:08.The track conditions were improving lap by lap. In the end it was not

:47:09. > :47:13.enough. You had a bit of contact with your team-mate. Did that affect

:47:14. > :47:19.the handling of the car? Yes, it did. It was quite a big accident. It

:47:20. > :47:25.was going all right until that point. It is my fault. Are you a

:47:26. > :47:33.king? No, thanks, everything is all right. Kimi Raikkonen has made a pit

:47:34. > :47:42.stop. He did a long stint on his tyres. Sebastian Vettel will have a

:47:43. > :47:47.bit of an edge to get past him. Kimi Raikkonen does not want to give up

:47:48. > :47:52.that place and Sebastian Vettel is forced to go round the outside. Kimi

:47:53. > :48:01.Raikkonen and shuts the door and he takes the place from Vettel. That

:48:02. > :48:08.was brilliant stuff. Kimi Raikkonen knew he had the benefit of more grip

:48:09. > :48:19.from those tyres. That can only happen with a professional when you

:48:20. > :48:27.note the width of the car. Some really interesting tyre strategies

:48:28. > :48:33.at work. Daniel Ricciardo leads the Grand Prix by 12.5 seconds. If he is

:48:34. > :48:39.to continue, he will have to do the longest stint from anybody on a soft

:48:40. > :48:46.tyre. It seems unlikely, but the talk on the radio sounds as if he is

:48:47. > :48:50.trying to manage his tyres. They are hoping he can pull it off. That was

:48:51. > :48:56.a surprise for the team, they were not ready for him there. They are

:48:57. > :49:02.not happy that these medium compound tyres will get to the end. They have

:49:03. > :49:08.to make another pit stop. This will drop him down into the lower reaches

:49:09. > :49:14.of the top ten. I wonder if he will be inside the top ten? He goes for

:49:15. > :49:21.the same compound. That surprises me a little bit. He goes for the harder

:49:22. > :49:28.compound tyre and is back out again. He is ahead of Kimi Raikkonen and is

:49:29. > :49:36.in sixth position. A good strategy, perhaps, from Williams. Hamilton is

:49:37. > :49:42.in third. Nico Rosberg is in fourth. Bottas is in fifth, Massa is sixth

:49:43. > :49:46.place and Kimi Raikkonen is in seventh place. Sebastian Vettel is

:49:47. > :49:59.in eighth place. Vergne, a star in the early stages, is in ninth place

:50:00. > :50:02.and button is in 10th place. Hamilton is on the prime. Nico

:50:03. > :50:07.Rosberg is pushing up against the back of him. If Hamilton does not

:50:08. > :50:23.want to get too much into the dirty air of that Ferrari. ROSBERG: He is

:50:24. > :50:29.not letting me through. RADIO: Let him past. That is a tough call by

:50:30. > :50:37.the team. Personally I think that is an unfair call, let him through. A

:50:38. > :50:41.lot can happen in this Grand Prix. Also he is fighting for a World

:50:42. > :50:49.Championship and if Nico Rosberg drops back further, it helps Lewis

:50:50. > :50:54.Hamilton. I think somebody coming on the radio and sailing, listen to the

:50:55. > :50:58.long game is one thing, but presumably the race engineer has

:50:59. > :51:04.been told that I management. That puts pressure on the race driver.

:51:05. > :51:09.Now Lewis has to either disobey his race engineer, knowing fine his race

:51:10. > :51:16.engineer is not going to tell him to do that without being told by the

:51:17. > :51:20.management. A tough call to make, pressurising the race engineers into

:51:21. > :51:26.breaking that bond of trust between the driver and the guys and works

:51:27. > :51:34.with. That situation was always going to arise this year. Daniel

:51:35. > :51:39.Ricciardo is saying it is his left rear that is the limitation. But his

:51:40. > :51:46.team has told him to stay out there, the pace is good. Hamilton has told

:51:47. > :51:52.his team, tell him to get closer, I am not going to let him get by.

:51:53. > :51:59.Daniel Ricciardo has done a long stint on the soft tyres. He goes

:52:00. > :52:03.back out on the soft tyre and he will come back out in fourth

:52:04. > :52:08.position. But we think Nico Rosberg will have to make another stop. That

:52:09. > :52:17.was Nico Rosberg going through in front. Daniel with another set of

:52:18. > :52:22.the option tyres on board. Fernando Alonso is the race leader and he has

:52:23. > :52:28.a 2.8 second advantage over Lewis Hamilton. There is the race leader,

:52:29. > :52:42.Fernando Alonso in control. Can he possibly have on? VETTEL: I do not

:52:43. > :52:49.think we have that much to lose. RADIO: Understood. Sebastian Vettel

:52:50. > :52:54.is looking to go all the way to the end, which is what we thought they

:52:55. > :53:04.were up to. Ricciardo is in fourth place. Nico Rosberg comes in.

:53:05. > :53:08.Ricciardo will now come through in third position as Nico Rosberg makes

:53:09. > :53:18.another pit stop. Another set of options going on. He will drop down

:53:19. > :53:25.the order, but how far? He is going to try and beat the Williams, next

:53:26. > :53:31.up. He is behind Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen. He is in seventh

:53:32. > :53:38.place with plenty of work to do. Kimi Raikkonen has done 16 laps on

:53:39. > :53:46.these tyres. Nico Rosberg has a fresh set of tyres. It was a set

:53:47. > :53:49.their use in qualifying, so it is not a brand-new set, but they will

:53:50. > :54:04.be quicker than those on Kimi Raikkonen's car. Ricciardo is

:54:05. > :54:11.starting to light up the screens. It was 3.7 seconds, but now it is 2.4

:54:12. > :54:18.seconds now. Has Daniel Ricciardo got what it takes to pull a pass on

:54:19. > :54:26.Hamilton? RADIO: Think about how you use the tyres. Hamilton is catching

:54:27. > :54:32.up on Alonso. The top three cars are catching up on each other. Difficult

:54:33. > :54:41.strategy with Ricciardo on the fresher tyres. It is a Ferrari

:54:42. > :54:48.sandwich. They are all closing up on Bottas. You can seek Kimi Raikkonen

:54:49. > :54:55.and the Mercedes of Nico Rosberg close behind. See how much you can

:54:56. > :55:02.get on the power. Felipe Massa should not be struggling to much. He

:55:03. > :55:07.is on the harder, compound tyre. Nico Rosberg has got so much more

:55:08. > :55:14.grip. He held a tighter line on that corner. Look how much they are all

:55:15. > :55:19.bearing down on Valterri Bottas. He will have to go into the pits. He

:55:20. > :55:26.will go backwards quickly at this stage. The top three are Alonso,

:55:27. > :55:33.Hamilton and Ricciardo. We have got one race going on for the win Mac

:55:34. > :55:35.and another race for fourth place. Bottas will be coming in at the end

:55:36. > :55:54.of this lap. Just taking the pit lane entry. Nico

:55:55. > :55:58.Rosberg will get a double toe. Felipe Massa has the DRS available

:55:59. > :56:06.because of his team-mate pulling into the pit. Nico Rosberg having a

:56:07. > :56:13.look. Kimi Raikkonen opens the door and gives him space. It looked for a

:56:14. > :56:19.moment there could be a tangle. Kimi Raikkonen was very aware of where

:56:20. > :56:27.the Mercedes was. Now he has got to try and get past the Williams and

:56:28. > :56:31.Felipe Massa. He has never had particular luck at this circuit and

:56:32. > :56:37.on some occasions it has gone horribly wrong. He had a big

:56:38. > :56:50.accident in 2009. In 2008 he led the race when the engine blew up. But

:56:51. > :56:56.Felipe Massa wants to get whatever he can out of this handy Aryan race.

:56:57. > :57:03.He has got the straight line speed, but Rosberg has got the grip.

:57:04. > :57:12.Ricciardo has got the gap down to 0.9. Do you want to watch the battle

:57:13. > :57:18.for the top three or this battle for four, five and six? You can see how

:57:19. > :57:25.much Daniel Ricciardo is catching Hamilton. Can Nico Rosberg overtake

:57:26. > :57:33.here? He is trying to get into fourth place. There is nothing that

:57:34. > :57:38.Felipe Massa can fight with. Nico Rosberg is into fourth. He is 23

:57:39. > :57:42.seconds behind the group that is fighting for the lead. I do not

:57:43. > :57:50.think there is much chance of him closing that up within nine laps,

:57:51. > :57:58.but he will be trying. This is Kimi Raikkonen and that pass. In the end

:57:59. > :58:05.Kimi Raikkonen was not able to get the car back. What a showdown this

:58:06. > :58:19.promises to be between Alonso, Hamilton and Daniel Ricciardo. They

:58:20. > :58:26.are in good shape. There was concern early on that Ricciardo had battery

:58:27. > :58:32.problems, but so far, so good. It was here in Hungary that the

:58:33. > :58:41.hostility between them became open combat. Alonso cutting the chicane.

:58:42. > :58:47.Will he have gained an advantage there? Let's hope it is a warning

:58:48. > :58:53.rather than having to give up the position. He was not under pressure

:58:54. > :59:03.in terms of somebody trying to overtake him. He raises his hand to

:59:04. > :59:08.say, I am going straight. Daniel Ricciardo lining up Hamilton. He

:59:09. > :59:16.tried to go on the outside, but he ran out of space. We knew he was up

:59:17. > :59:21.for having a go and he has put a clear mark in the sand for Hamilton.

:59:22. > :59:30.It has also caused Hamilton to drop back a bit from Alonso. RADIO: Keep

:59:31. > :59:36.this pace up, you will catch the top three in the end. Rosberg is so

:59:37. > :59:45.fast, that his team thinks he will be with them on the last lap. That

:59:46. > :59:55.shows the benefit of clean air and fresher tyres.

:59:56. > :00:07.Ricciardo has good tyres. I can't see he is going to suddenly slow

:00:23. > :00:25.Ferrari. Across the line he comes once more. Just five lapse to go --

:00:26. > :00:28.laps to go. Hamilton has come from the pit line. It has never been done

:00:29. > :00:32.before to win a Grand Prix from the pit lane. A race has been won from

:00:33. > :00:37.22nd on the grid, the equivalent of which where he was. That was back in

:00:38. > :00:45.1983. Ricciardo has another chance here. Hamilton is struggling.

:00:46. > :00:50.Definitely struggling for grip, Lewis Hamilto Ricciardo sees an

:00:56. > :01:00.at just under three second a lap but it is probably not enough to join in

:01:01. > :01:13.the fun and games on the last lap. Massa is fifth. Raikkonen in sixth

:01:57. > :02:01.set by the FIA to get the best performance. He's under pressure

:02:02. > :02:07.from Ricciardo. Ricciardo has more grip. Somebody lock up ahead.

:02:08. > :02:11.Ricciardo around the outside and he's done it! He's taken second

:02:12. > :02:15.place from Lewis Hamilton. A brilliant manoeuvre and now he goes

:02:16. > :02:20.chasing after race leader Fernando Alonso. He's got it in him for the

:02:21. > :02:26.win. We are watching one of the great races surely of Formula One.

:02:27. > :02:30.Daniel Ricciardo, OK he didn't qualify as far down as some of the

:02:31. > :02:38.others, but that was a great move by him, David. That's a world champion

:02:39. > :02:45.of the future move, undoubtedly. Magic from Dani Ricciardo. Look at

:02:46. > :02:49.the reaction. APPLAUSE Red Bull are loving this

:02:50. > :02:54.Australian who has joined the team from this year. Remember the battle

:02:55. > :02:58.we saw in Germany? Alonso versus Ricciardo. This time it is for

:02:59. > :03:06.victory. The man at the front of which that image in the Red Bull

:03:07. > :03:11.mechanics clapping is the number one on Sebastian Vettel's car. These

:03:12. > :03:15.guys look at the team as a whole. Fernando Alonso has been leading in

:03:16. > :03:19.for a long time. Ricciardo started in fourth. He's got a bit of a run

:03:20. > :03:24.towards the first. And he's on the inside! He outbreaks the Ferrari. He

:03:25. > :03:28.holds the apex and makes it look so simple. Daniel Ricciardo has taken

:03:29. > :03:34.the lead in the Hungarian Grand Prix and help looks all set for his

:03:35. > :03:39.second victory this season! Brilliant. One word - brilliant.

:03:40. > :03:49.What can you say about the man from Perth? He won in Canada. He took the

:03:50. > :03:54.lead with three laps to go and he's done it again. A brilliant call in

:03:55. > :03:59.terms of what they did with the tyres. Look how he's getting away.

:04:00. > :04:03.He's on the fresher tyres. Now it is about whether Lewis Hamilton can get

:04:04. > :04:08.past the Ferrari for second. That Ferrari is desperate for grip now.

:04:09. > :04:15.He's all over the place, David. He's under severe pressure. The tyres

:04:16. > :04:19.have hit the wall, or hit the cliff, that's the expression the drivers

:04:20. > :04:25.use. Rosberg could still join the back of this little mini dice for

:04:26. > :04:31.second. Rosberg is much closer on the fresh tyres. Look how hard he's

:04:32. > :04:37.trying. Fastest lap after fastest lap set by Nico Rosberg. Even his

:04:38. > :04:41.tyres will be beginning to give up their best and we've got lots to

:04:42. > :04:45.look at. Ricciardo leads with two laps to go. Alonso with just a tiny

:04:46. > :04:51.advantage over Lewis Hamilton. The gap to Rosberg only 1-and-a-half

:04:52. > :04:55.seconds. Hamilton hunts around behind the Ferrari but he's

:04:56. > :05:00.struggling for grip. You can see on that tyre, both them in different

:05:01. > :05:04.areas of the track are struggling. Hamilton struggles on this section.

:05:05. > :05:08.Is it is on the back part of the circuit where Alonso seems to

:05:09. > :05:13.struggle for grip. Rosberg is bearing down on them.

:05:14. > :05:17.What a situation to be in, David. Which one would you like to be in at

:05:18. > :05:22.this stage? I would like to be Daniel Ricciardo in front. If it had

:05:23. > :05:29.to be one of these? Rosberg we know has a much better set of tyres. All

:05:30. > :05:37.the momentum. It is going to be surely easy picking to get past

:05:38. > :05:41.Hamilton and Alonso. We saw in Bahrain there was no

:05:42. > :05:47.quarter given between Rosberg and ham happen. It is all about every

:05:48. > :05:50.point this in this year's World Championship remember. He's not in a

:05:51. > :05:54.position to do anything other than just keep it between the white

:05:55. > :05:58.lines. And Rosberg is going to have the grip as they come out of the

:05:59. > :06:05.final turn and go on to the last lap. Wow! This is going to be

:06:06. > :06:13.amazing. Is it a big enough gap? I think could be. Rosberg might not

:06:14. > :06:18.have to use DRS. We go a the final lap and Rosberg is trying to pass

:06:19. > :06:22.his team-mate. He's just within DRS range. He's trying to get a good

:06:23. > :06:26.drive through one and launch into two. He's got the better line,

:06:27. > :06:32.Rosberg. Hamilton is going to have to go defensive into two. The two

:06:33. > :06:36.title contenders wheel to wheel. Hamilton defends into turn two. On

:06:37. > :06:40.the outside, Hamilton squeezes Ricciardo out, says you are not

:06:41. > :06:47.coming through on this last lap, no way am I allowing that. Rosberg has

:06:48. > :06:52.to try again. A racing driver glove slap to the face on Rosberg. Rosberg

:06:53. > :06:58.trying to do what Ricciardo had done. Alonso given a bit of

:06:59. > :07:02.breathing space because of this. Alonso is heading for his best

:07:03. > :07:06.finish of the year. Only his second podium of the season. Is it is from

:07:07. > :07:11.fifth place on the grid, as it was in China when he scored a podium

:07:12. > :07:16.finish. But Hamilton and Rosberg, which of the two is going to end up

:07:17. > :07:20.ahead? For Rosberg, le still be leading the points whichever way

:07:21. > :07:24.they finish, but Hamilton will have closed the gap if they stay the way

:07:25. > :07:29.they are now. Daniel Ricciardo is way out in front of them. It is

:07:30. > :07:35.going to be Daniel Ricciardo to take victory. He's waving already! Daniel

:07:36. > :07:42.Ricciardo wins Hungarian Grand Prix! Wow! Two victories this year. Canada

:07:43. > :07:46.and Hungary. Second place goes to Fernando Alonso. A brilliant effort

:07:47. > :07:50.from him, a stunning drive. Lewis Hamilton holds on for the final

:07:51. > :07:54.podium slot ahead of Nico Rosberg. Hamilton is third. Rosberg is

:07:55. > :08:00.fourth. Mercedes are beaten for only the second time this year. Vettel

:08:01. > :08:05.and Bottas fighting here. This is for seventh place. Bottas on the

:08:06. > :08:09.fresher tyre. Vettel struggle on tyres that are quite old in terms

:08:10. > :08:13.of. He's done some 36 laps. Can Bottas get the exit? I don't think

:08:14. > :08:17.he has enough here. It looks as though the other Red Bull of

:08:18. > :08:21.Sebastian Vettel is going to finish in seventh place. Raikkonen was

:08:22. > :08:27.sixth ahead of them. Massa was fifth. Fifth. Bottas settles for 8th

:08:28. > :08:39.this time but Ricciardory, his second win in five Grands Prix. Yes!

:08:40. > :08:42.The result of the honouringarian Grand Prix, Daniel Ricciardo takes

:08:43. > :08:47.victory from Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton, with Rosberg chasing

:08:48. > :08:51.in fourth place. Felipe Massa finished in fifth ahead of Raikkonen

:08:52. > :08:58.rate. Sebastian Vettel was seventh. Valtteri Bottas only 8th, and 9th

:08:59. > :09:02.for Jean-Eric Vergne. Jenson Button took the final place. Sauber didn't

:09:03. > :09:25.get their place this year. Daniel Ricciardo celebrates his

:09:26. > :09:30.second win of the season. Fernando Alonso receives the trophy for

:09:31. > :09:35.second place. What a drive by the Ferrari star. And Lewis Hamilton

:09:36. > :09:41.receiving the trophy for third. He came from the pit lane and he beat

:09:42. > :09:45.his team-mate. Daniel Ricciardo's taken his second victory of the

:09:46. > :09:48.season. He remains only man to have beaten the might of Mercedes in

:09:49. > :10:00.2014. Daniel Ricciardo, you were

:10:01. > :10:04.incredible on track. Great calls from Simon Rennie and the gang. The

:10:05. > :10:09.how sweet does it feel? It feels as sweet as the first, it really does.

:10:10. > :10:14.You can absorb this one a bit quicker, the second one. The first

:10:15. > :10:19.is just a blur but today I knew what was going on as soon as I hit the

:10:20. > :10:24.lead. I was like, OK. When I cross the line, I know what's happening

:10:25. > :10:30.and I'm going to enjoy this one. An eventful day. Indeed, you've got the

:10:31. > :10:33.speed and the move os. We saw great battles with Lewis Hamilton and the

:10:34. > :10:38.lines. Talk us through the outside of turn two. It is the one that

:10:39. > :10:42.didn't quite come off. Oh, this is the one that didn't come off. Sorry.

:10:43. > :10:48.The first attempt didn't really work. I had fresher tyres to make it

:10:49. > :10:55.happen. I thought I Ghent a bit hot again. Had the grip on the outside.

:10:56. > :11:00.A lot of fun. The strategy, high-risk putting yourself on the

:11:01. > :11:05.outside. Yes. It reminds me of a week ago. Ago. I I was in the

:11:06. > :11:11.sandwich with Fernando and Lewis and knew if I didn't make quick work of

:11:12. > :11:16.Alonso I could be at square one. It wasn't an easy drive by any stretch

:11:17. > :11:22.of the imagination. The start was tricky wasn't it? It was. On the y

:11:23. > :11:25.stretch of the imagination. The start was tricky wasn't it? It was.

:11:26. > :11:30.On the inters we -- on the inner teres we struggled a bit. I was

:11:31. > :11:35.saying slicks will be the go soon and the safety car... Going into the

:11:36. > :11:40.summer holiday. Is this going to be a good one? Yes. I was tossing the

:11:41. > :11:45.up what to do on the brake but I got a bit of a bonus today so I'm sure

:11:46. > :11:49.I'll spend the holiday wisely now and enjoy it more. You have yourself

:11:50. > :11:56.a fantastic time. Congratulations today. Well done. Thank you guys. We

:11:57. > :11:59.decided not to stop in the safety car, so we take some risk on the

:12:00. > :12:06.strategy and it paid off at the end with the second place that tastes

:12:07. > :12:10.like a victory. 12 laps to the end we were debating what to do. To stop

:12:11. > :12:17.and secure the fourth place or not to stop and maybe ensure in fourth

:12:18. > :12:22.place. That's what the strategy on the computer was saying. Is I said,

:12:23. > :12:26.OK, if the computer said the same position, let me lead the race until

:12:27. > :12:31.the last moment and we'll see what happened. Lewis Hamilton, you were

:12:32. > :12:37.incredible today. From the pit lane to the podium. A sensation. But it

:12:38. > :12:41.was so tough out there wasn't it? This whole weekend's been pretty

:12:42. > :12:45.tough but I'm grateful I got through nit one piece, just about. You

:12:46. > :12:50.managed to put the woes of yesterday behind you. When you went out it

:12:51. > :12:55.there was raining but from the onset we can look at how difficult it was

:12:56. > :13:00.for you. These were terrible conditions. We all had our heart in

:13:01. > :13:07.our mouths. You don't even know where my heart was, mate. Mate. A

:13:08. > :13:12.silly mistake. My brakes were cold. Just frozen really. This was a bit

:13:13. > :13:15.risky, I didn't know where he was but today I needed to take some

:13:16. > :13:20.risks. What were you thinking here? We heard you saying on the radio he

:13:21. > :13:24.looked like he gained an advantage. He looked like he gained an

:13:25. > :13:28.advantage I was surprised he was able to keep it. This was a defining

:13:29. > :13:32.part of the race, showing how strongly you wanted to keep

:13:33. > :13:37.position. I was fighting so hard to catch and overtake Fernando but it

:13:38. > :13:42.is very difficult when you are behind in the slipstream. I think

:13:43. > :13:47.the option tyre was better, and then to stay ahead. At the end he was

:13:48. > :13:51.catching me three seconds a lap, to keep that place. I worked so hard

:13:52. > :13:57.for that. I have never worked so hard for anything in my life. Really

:13:58. > :14:01.wanted and needed those points. I wasn't giving it up for nobody. We

:14:02. > :14:07.heard radio messages between you and the team and we really saw your

:14:08. > :14:09.determination.er clear on EDWHITE We heard radio messages between you and

:14:10. > :14:11.the team and we really saw your determination.er clear on what --

:14:12. > :14:16.determination there. You were clear on what your goal was. A Nico was

:14:17. > :14:21.where he was. I was second and he was third or whatever. We were in

:14:22. > :14:26.the same race. If I had let him past, he would have beaten me today.

:14:27. > :14:32.We have done his pit stop and caught me much sooner and got by. Were you

:14:33. > :14:37.surprised to be asked? I am and I still am. We'll sit down and talk

:14:38. > :14:41.about it. You've closed the gap in the championship to 11 points now.

:14:42. > :14:46.Who would have thought yesterday when the car was on fire I would be

:14:47. > :14:51.able to do that. A great comeback. Be I don't know, I can't explain it.

:14:52. > :14:55.Things happen for a reason and I guess today was really a showing of

:14:56. > :14:57.that. You can go into the holiday period very happy. Congratulations

:14:58. > :15:19.Lewis Hamilton. It was incredible. use it, so it was a pity. Lewis
