:04:52. > :04:55.He has backed out. This is unusual territory. Some time it is some time
:04:56. > :04:58.since he has been starting that far down the grid. Let us look out for
:04:59. > :05:02.where it went wrong for Jenson Button. He didn't seem to get a

:05:08. > :05:15.this has been the scene of some coming together. A big lock from

:06:38. > :06:40.Look after the tyres. And that is the tough, how do you decide, Are
:06:41. > :06:44.you in a position to overtake or do you have to look after the tyres?
:06:45. > :06:49.Well, that is down to the driver's judgment. It looks he is able to put
:06:50. > :06:56.enough pressure on Bottas to keep going. The team clearly not thinking
:06:57. > :07:01.that barring any reliability for Mercedes, for those who are just
:07:02. > :07:06.tuned in, are six seconds down the road after five laps of racing, and
:07:07. > :07:12.so this is the battle for third place effectively. It looks to Medan

:07:18. > :07:24.Driving off turn 16, on to the start finish straight. If Daniel is close

:07:35. > :07:39.Ricciardo is into turn one. Bottas sees him coming. Gives him space and
:07:40. > :07:43.Ricciardo fails to make it stick Ten out of ten for effort and great
:07:44. > :07:46.driving from Bottas. Here comes Vettel. He has a real opportunity
:07:47. > :07:51.now, he will have to move to the outside, he will try and go round
:07:52. > :07:55.the outside. Underbraking, a fairly brave thing to dry try. It will give
:07:56. > :07:59.him the outside line for a moment. He sneaks through, to Vettel stuck
:08:00. > :08:03.with it That is a brave move. That is brilliant. Know there is a lot of
:08:04. > :08:08.doubters who think he is, most of his winning from the front, to go
:08:09. > :08:12.round the outside it is an off camber corner, you rely a lot on the
:08:13. > :08:15.guy you are attacking to not squeeze you, I suspect if that had been a
:08:16. > :08:20.more experienced driver he would have opened his steering and allowed
:08:21. > :08:23.the car to drift, pushing Sebastian out on to the artificial grass. That
:08:24. > :08:30.would have been fair enough. In the end he got the pass done. Let us see
:08:31. > :08:34.when Button got past Gutierrez. Gutierrez defended to the inside.
:08:35. > :08:39.Just a massive overspeed, the combination of DRS, slipstream, and
:08:40. > :08:43.also the knowledge that there is a replay of Sebastian going round the
:08:44. > :08:47.outside. Small lock up there from Gutierrez, but in the end, it was
:08:48. > :08:52.just able to get a clean line round the outside, and, complete the pass.
:08:53. > :08:55.This is Button versus Sebastian Vettel, for 12th position, onboard
:08:56. > :08:59.with Button. A bit of overrun from Sebastian Vettel You can do that at
:09:00. > :09:03.five. We saw in Lewis Hamilton's qualifying lap he ran a bit wide,
:09:04. > :09:08.relative to Rosberg. Because the circuit opens and drops down the
:09:09. > :09:12.hill, it doesn't cost you as much. Not saying he deliberately went
:09:13. > :09:16.there, I thought he was trying to get himself on to gearbox of Button.
:09:17. > :09:21.You saw how hard he was working through nine. Red Bull squirrelling
:09:22. > :09:25.round. It is not used it is not something we are used to seeing.
:09:26. > :09:31.Usually it looks so planted to the track. It is partly the nature of
:09:32. > :09:37.the new regulation, more horsepower, more torque delivery and a reduction
:09:38. > :09:39.in the downforce You can see how much more memberal grip that Red
:09:40. > :09:46.Bull was generating through the slow section. Expect to see the McLaren a
:09:47. > :09:51.bit as they come off 16. Early stop for Vettel. That is, even on a three
:09:52. > :09:55.stop strategy. Maybe it is just to release him from behind Button.
:09:56. > :10:00.Playing the game a bit. You might see a longer second stint coming up
:10:01. > :10:06.for Sebastian Vettel here. This... Goes on the hard tyre This
:10:07. > :10:11.will pop him to back of field. We have Ericsson who is the last of the
:10:12. > :10:15.runners coming out of the last chicane. He will hope by the time he
:10:16. > :10:19.catches up to the back of field they will be pit organise he will get
:10:20. > :10:23.clean air. I suspect he will get traffic earlier than he may have
:10:24. > :10:29.planned. He is out behind Chilton and Kobayashi, he is ahead of
:10:30. > :10:32.Ericsson. This is the race for third That was a very late call for
:10:33. > :10:36.Vettel. He was in the pit lane when the mechanics were still coming out
:10:37. > :10:41.to the box. What a well oiled machine they are, despite the late
:10:42. > :10:45.call. Literally no no more than five seconds, they were still ready for
:10:46. > :10:50.him. Ricciardo in. Ricciardo in, so Red
:10:51. > :10:54.Bull bringing both cars in relatively early. Ricciardo did a
:10:55. > :10:57.long stint over 20 laps on Friday, on this tyre, but plans the
:10:58. > :11:02.overnight rain has made a difference to that. Perhaps they are trying to
:11:03. > :11:06.use this to their benefit. He stays on the medium tyre, the softer of
:11:07. > :11:10.the two. We are hearing on the radio that Rosberg has been told they are
:11:11. > :11:14.planning to put the harder tyre on Rosberg's car, we may see a split in
:11:15. > :11:18.strategy between Hamilton and Rosberg, we saw it in Bahrain,
:11:19. > :11:24.remember, when they were racing against each other, they split the
:11:25. > :11:29.strategies. . That last lap is a further four tenths quicker. He is
:11:30. > :11:33.more comfortable at this point and calling for the softer tyre. Vettel
:11:34. > :11:37.on Kobayashi as he has had that pit-stop an determined to make the
:11:38. > :11:43.use of his new tires, let us see how he got past This is underbraking
:11:44. > :11:47.down into ten. He tried it in nine. He has had the momentum initially.
:11:48. > :11:52.That is going to be a difficult call, to try and do it into nine.
:11:53. > :11:56.Kobayashi racing for position. Hamilton is in from the lead. Lewis
:11:57. > :12:01.Hamilton into the pits as Rosberg has just set his best personal lap,
:12:02. > :12:05.of the race so far. There was a front wing adjustment. Didn't look
:12:06. > :12:09.at if that was the quickest stop we have seen, there is no need to take
:12:10. > :12:15.a risk. It is interesting to see whether Rosberg is given a couple of
:12:16. > :12:19.laps the see if he can do anything. I suspect Hamilton with the fresher
:12:20. > :12:24.tyres. Looks like he lost over a second in that pit-stop. 3.8 seconds
:12:25. > :12:30.is not that fast. Two-and-a-half seconds is the margin. He didn't
:12:31. > :12:40.have much to play for. It was just under 2 seconds, so that could be
:12:41. > :12:44.crucial. Let us just watch Alonso. This was Raikkonen coming out in
:12:45. > :12:47.front of Alonso. Let us see how close this really was, we knew it
:12:48. > :12:52.was close. A lock up from Alonso, Raikkonen is on the inside, and
:12:53. > :12:58.Raikkonen just managed to emerge in front. I can see Mercedes in the pit
:12:59. > :13:03.lane. So the hard out of the blankets, waiting for Rosberg to
:13:04. > :13:08.come and have his car services. See how they do. 3.8 for Hamilton's
:13:09. > :13:15.stop. It is the hard tyre going onboard. Away goes Nico Rosberg, so
:13:16. > :13:20.how far will he be behind Hamilton? Will he be behind Hamilton? One
:13:21. > :13:23.second quicker. Hamilton is overtaking Ericsson. There goes
:13:24. > :13:29.Hamilton, just past Rosberg as they come down to turn one, gets the
:13:30. > :13:34.slipstream past Marcus Ericsson and Nico Rosberg rejoins in that second
:13:35. > :13:37.place, so ultimately, it hasn't made a huge difference, Hamilton is still
:13:38. > :13:44.in front. RADIO: What do I need now? How many
:13:45. > :13:47.laps? We need to increase the gap by about four seconds over the next 20
:13:48. > :14:00.lap, so we need to look after these tyres, build that gap. Your position
:14:01. > :14:06.is safe, you need two seconds from Lewis at the end of this stint.
:14:07. > :14:11.Now we know the story, one needs four seconds the other needs two.
:14:12. > :14:15.That is music to Lewis's years, he knows he is on the option tyre
:14:16. > :14:27.relative to his team-mate, Nico Rosberg, and that will be pretty
:14:28. > :14:30.sold a -- soul destroying for Nico. Raikkonen having a go at getting
:14:31. > :14:36.past Grosjean, Grosjean comes back at him, they almost touch, these two
:14:37. > :14:40.former team-mates last year at Lotus. They go wheel to wheel into
:14:41. > :14:44.the first corner, Raikkonen losing out. That was a great attempt from
:14:45. > :14:49.Raikkonen, Grosjean swept to the inside to defend the position. In
:14:50. > :14:54.the end, Raikkonen carried too much speed through one, realised he was
:14:55. > :14:58.at risk of running over the kerb. Grosjean came back at him, expect
:14:59. > :15:02.more of this, allowing Alonso to sneak back up. As Alonso dropped
:15:03. > :15:09.back to preserve his tyres, or does he have an issue? He has DRS
:15:10. > :15:13.overspeed, he makes a move to the right quite late on, that might be
:15:14. > :15:18.questionable. You have to make your intentions clear quite early, but
:15:19. > :15:23.then Grosjean comes back at him. They didn't touch, but they came
:15:24. > :15:27.very close. Hamilton saying his rear end is everywhere! He is not happy
:15:28. > :15:31.with the handling of the car, and if the hard tyre suddenly becomes the
:15:32. > :15:36.better race tyre, they all expected it to be the medium tyre, but things
:15:37. > :15:42.can change - we have had overnight rain and moreover is going down, the
:15:43. > :15:46.tractors change. If he thinks he has problems, last time around he was
:15:47. > :15:50.still the fastest man on the racetrack - imagine how it must feel
:15:51. > :15:55.to be in some of the other cars! Interesting stuff, can you imagine
:15:56. > :15:56.the respective engineers within the Mercedes team passing that
:15:57. > :16:02.information between their drivers, trying to decide how much
:16:03. > :16:08.information to give? Red Bull out in the pit lane again. That is probably
:16:09. > :16:12.going to be for Vettel, I would think. Massa is into the pits. It
:16:13. > :16:17.looks like he went past, they were getting ready to serve as one of the
:16:18. > :16:22.cars, and Vettel, if it was him, running behind Grosjean, decided to
:16:23. > :16:30.go for another lap. Lester Red Bull guys tricked Williams into coming
:16:31. > :16:34.out. -- unless. They have been known to do that, it is not something you
:16:35. > :16:37.will get away with more than once. In the interests of safety, you
:16:38. > :16:42.cannot just keep them out all the time. It looks like Massa is on a
:16:43. > :16:48.three-stop, and it may be his team-mate is on a two stock, going
:16:49. > :16:54.slightly different on strategies here. -- two -stop. Just under half
:16:55. > :16:58.distance in the Spanish Grand Prix, upfront the battle is between the
:16:59. > :17:04.Mercedes team-mate of Hamilton and Rosberg, and Hamilton is now 4.3
:17:05. > :17:07.seconds ahead. Despite his complaints about the handling of the
:17:08. > :17:12.car, he has gained a bit more time over his team-mate. Hamilton,
:17:13. > :17:17.Rosberg, Ricciardo, the other Red Bull still running well, looking at
:17:18. > :17:21.a potential podium. Alonso is tied up in traffic, tucked in behind
:17:22. > :17:25.Kevin Magnussen, and ahead of Magnussen, a bit further down the
:17:26. > :17:32.road is Kvyat. Alonso makes the move and Kevin Magnussen.
:17:33. > :17:41.Magnussen had DRS from the car that went into the pits. Eagles wide
:17:42. > :17:50.through one, will Magnussen come back at him? No, he covers it. -- he
:17:51. > :17:55.goes wide. He is so used to going into turn one with the normal drag
:17:56. > :18:00.on the car, and with DRS you are seeing speeds of well over 200 mph.
:18:01. > :18:04.Hulkenberg has been in for his second stop, so as Jenson Button, he
:18:05. > :18:10.should be able to get to the end from here. A move down the inside
:18:11. > :18:15.for Vettel, gaining position from Massa? Yeah, a good move for
:18:16. > :18:19.Sebastian Vettel. He has been told he needs maximum pace, I think they
:18:20. > :18:23.are going for three stops. He has not been told to look after the
:18:24. > :18:31.tyres, and that has gotten past Felipe Massa. 30.5 last lap, still
:18:32. > :18:35.0.7 quicker than the leading car of Hamilton, taking everything out of
:18:36. > :18:41.those fresh tyres. You see Alonso running a bit steep through turn
:18:42. > :18:47.one, marginal through two, but Kevin Magnussen not able to do anything in
:18:48. > :18:53.response. This is Vettel going past Massa. Into turn five, making use of
:18:54. > :18:58.the fresh tyres, sees a gap. Very nice indeed and not far behind the
:18:59. > :19:03.Ferrari... A little lock-up as he goes past Magnussen, Magnussen may
:19:04. > :19:08.get a chance, he goes around the outside. He is not going to get it
:19:09. > :19:14.like that. That was a replay of what just happened, Vettel dealing with
:19:15. > :19:19.Magnussen. Box, box, we will come down three turns. Three turns on the
:19:20. > :19:24.front wing, presumably, a fairly major change to improve the balance
:19:25. > :19:28.of the car. So this final pit stop, let's see what happens for Lewis
:19:29. > :19:34.Hamilton when he comes in. He has not come in yet, has he? That is
:19:35. > :19:38.interesting. He obviously has decided to stay out a little bit
:19:39. > :19:44.longer. The guys had the tyres out of the blankets and rushing back
:19:45. > :19:48.into get them back in the blankets. That is clearly a miscommunication.
:19:49. > :19:51.You would not want, if they are genuinely tyres for the car, you
:19:52. > :19:55.would not want to be losing temperature from the blankets. The
:19:56. > :20:00.tyres have now been brought back out of the blankets very early, and in
:20:01. > :20:04.he goes. Rosberg has lost time in the middle sector, so for whatever
:20:05. > :20:07.reason, Rosberg losing a bit of time. As long as this pit stop is
:20:08. > :20:12.clean, Hamilton should be in tremendous shape to continue his
:20:13. > :20:17.winning form this season. And there was a little delay, remember, on the
:20:18. > :20:21.first pit stop. It is not the fastest pit stop that we have seen
:20:22. > :20:25.from Mercedes, but probably not enough to actually allow Nico
:20:26. > :20:30.Rosberg a chance. Look, 4.3 seconds, a slow start, but whether it will be
:20:31. > :20:35.enough - it will certainly give Rosberg a fighting chance. Tom. From
:20:36. > :20:39.what I can see, the front was absolutely fine on that pit stop for
:20:40. > :20:42.Lewis Hamilton, the delay was somewhere at the rear. I could not
:20:43. > :20:50.see, but somewhere at the rear, hence the four-second stop. The
:20:51. > :20:55.double lost over stops has cost him... Well, a few seconds from his
:20:56. > :21:03.team-mate. We will see how Rosberg gets on. Losing time from Greening,
:21:04. > :21:10.those harder tyres seem to have done enough for Rosberg. -- graining. He
:21:11. > :21:14.has done 22 laps on that set of tyres. Can we see anything from the
:21:15. > :21:19.thermal imaging camera that tells you whether he is losing heat? It is
:21:20. > :21:25.still spreading across the outside pretty well. Into the pits has come
:21:26. > :21:31.Kimi Raikkonen. Alonso will be ahead of him, yeah, Raikkonen has lost a
:21:32. > :21:34.lot in this stint, hasn't he? It has all turned nasty for Raikkonen
:21:35. > :21:40.through that stint, and interesting to see the emotion in the
:21:41. > :21:44.conversations. Hamilton was on the radio saying, why are you saying
:21:45. > :21:49.three turns down on the front wing? I don't understand why you are doing
:21:50. > :21:56.three, just do the normal two. Very clear, a clear message. Strength of
:21:57. > :22:01.conviction in there. Riding with Rosberg, he is staying out. A good
:22:02. > :22:06.lap last time around, but Hamilton is now on the hard tyre himself, and
:22:07. > :22:09.we will see what kind of pace Hamilton can do. Rosberg will be
:22:10. > :22:16.switching to the softer tyre. Meanwhile, Raikkonen's stop has put
:22:17. > :22:21.out behind not just Alonso but Vettel as well, but we are expecting
:22:22. > :22:24.Vettel to make another stop. No doubt the two Ferraris have swapped
:22:25. > :22:29.around as a result of that last stint, and Alonso has taken full
:22:30. > :22:33.advantage. Alonso running in fifth position currently. Just to explain
:22:34. > :22:38.on the terms, it is not something which is the same for every team, of
:22:39. > :22:43.course, it depends on the configuration of how much a turn
:22:44. > :22:47.actually moves the flap. In terms of a racing car, you are trying to
:22:48. > :22:53.balance the aerodynamics like a set of scales. It is like adding load on
:22:54. > :22:57.the front axle or taking load off as the wing goes through the air and
:22:58. > :23:03.pushes the car into the ground. The Mercedes team are coming out for
:23:04. > :23:06.Rosberg's stop. This is interesting, Romain Grosjean on the back of
:23:07. > :23:10.Felipe Massa. We saw Grosjean struggling earlier at the end of the
:23:11. > :23:19.straight, but he seems to be going all right at the moment. Was my last
:23:20. > :23:24.lap too slow? Pace was good in that stint. Why did you bring me in? We
:23:25. > :23:29.are keeping you on the optimum strategy, Lewis. So Rosberg makes
:23:30. > :23:33.his pit stop, where is Hamilton? Halfway down the main straight
:23:34. > :23:36.already, and Rosberg will come out behind his team-mate. He has just
:23:37. > :23:41.got to hope that the softer tyre gives him the edge in the last part
:23:42. > :23:47.of the race, but it is not going to be very likely, and Adrian Sutil
:23:48. > :23:49.will get in front of him. He has got traffic to deal with as well, and
:23:50. > :23:54.this is going to be a very tall order. In for another stop is Daniel
:23:55. > :23:59.Ricciardo, so Daniel Ricciardo is looking to get that third place,
:24:00. > :24:04.remember, but making the stop and on his way once more. Very quick stop
:24:05. > :24:09.from the crew, and in fact Bottas stopping at the same time, look, 2.4
:24:10. > :24:12.seconds. Valtteri Bottas unable to go to the end of the race on his
:24:13. > :24:18.tyres, so that kind of order, third and fourth, is what we are looking
:24:19. > :24:24.at for Ricciardo and Bottas. Here is Bottas. Great camera angle - if you
:24:25. > :24:28.like brake flaps! That seemed a very fast. It was not as quick,
:24:29. > :24:33.actually, three seconds. That is the total time lost that Hamilton has
:24:34. > :24:36.had over his team-mate this afternoon, so you can see how
:24:37. > :24:40.important that teamwork is during the pit stop. It will be interesting
:24:41. > :24:45.to try to understand where the time loss was. Clearly, you can see, if
:24:46. > :24:49.the gap between them was less than that, it would have given Rosberg
:24:50. > :24:54.the advantage this afternoon. This is all getting quite close, Massa in
:24:55. > :24:59.eighth place chased by the black and gold Lotus of Grosjean, then the two
:25:00. > :25:04.Force Indias, who are still tied together by a piece of elastic. It
:25:05. > :25:08.has not got much longer than about 1.3 seconds throughout the race. On
:25:09. > :25:12.board with Grosjean, in the twisty sections he will have to take
:25:13. > :25:16.advantage of the Williams. How much time did we lose in the pit stop?
:25:17. > :25:22.Nico lost more with traffic, let's not worry about that, just knuckle
:25:23. > :25:28.down, 21 laps remaining on the prime tyre. Nico is now on the option. It
:25:29. > :25:31.is a need to know basis. That was a great answer, almost like
:25:32. > :25:38.psychologists, dealing with the driver, or politicians. He did not
:25:39. > :25:41.answer the question! 13 laps to go, and Rosberg will need every ounce of
:25:42. > :25:48.energy he can get out of those Pirelli tyres as Ferrari get ready
:25:49. > :25:52.for a stop. So Alonso is back in - Fernando Alonso is back in, so a
:25:53. > :25:55.third pit stop for the Ferrari. I wonder if Raikkonen is going to be
:25:56. > :26:00.able to go through to the end stop he will go back onto the medium
:26:01. > :26:04.compound. Raikkonen coming out of the last corner, this will be pretty
:26:05. > :26:09.close, and I think Raikkonen will get the jump on him. He is indeed.
:26:10. > :26:14.This will put Raikkonen in front of his team-mate, but his team-mate
:26:15. > :26:19.will be the one on the fresher tyre, and as he rejoins... Nip and tuck
:26:20. > :26:24.with Vettel. Vettel sweeps through, and they are both on good tyres,
:26:25. > :26:28.remember, because Vettel has also just been into the pits. Both guys
:26:29. > :26:33.will now be trying to chase the cars ahead. Kimi Raikkonen will be their
:26:34. > :26:36.main targets, and it looks as though he will be trying to get to the end
:26:37. > :26:42.of the race. It could be hard for him to stay in front of both the Red
:26:43. > :26:46.Bull and his team-mate here. Back on board with Vettel, who is now right
:26:47. > :26:52.behind Kimi Raikkonen. He went off the track and got away with it, but
:26:53. > :26:56.two seconds he has taken out of Raikkonen, so we will get himself
:26:57. > :27:00.into position coming out of nine at the top of the hill to try to pass
:27:01. > :27:06.down into ten. Alonso, behind, is dropping back. Raikkonen, a twist of
:27:07. > :27:10.oversteer as he went through the apex. He will be too far back to
:27:11. > :27:16.take a dive, or will he? Years having a go down the inside,
:27:17. > :27:21.Raikkonen saw him coming. -- he is having. Meanwhile, when Hamilton's
:27:22. > :27:24.engineer says they will look into it, they will be studying the
:27:25. > :27:31.real-time data from the cars and trying to advise on the loads, the
:27:32. > :27:37.aerodynamic loads have changed. You can go B minus two. So they are
:27:38. > :27:43.giving him some set of changes that he can effect from the steering
:27:44. > :27:47.wheel. That sounds like brake balance minus two. That will help
:27:48. > :27:53.the car on the entry into corners, presumably. This is how Vettel swept
:27:54. > :27:56.past Kimi Raikkonen. He is having an aggressive drive this afternoon,
:27:57. > :28:00.Sebastian, he has had to make some brave moves. Front wing damage on
:28:01. > :28:06.the Sauber from contact, I would suspect. Well, I think Sebastian is
:28:07. > :28:14.just enjoying this race farm or than any other he has done this year. --
:28:15. > :28:17.far more. He did start in 15th position on the grid, whereas Daniel
:28:18. > :28:23.Ricciardo was right up front in third place. So can he do it this
:28:24. > :28:27.time? He tucks right in behind the Williams, this has to be a huge
:28:28. > :28:31.opportunity, a bit of a slide from Bottas through the last corner. The
:28:32. > :28:35.Mercedes power in the Williams, though, very strong in a straight
:28:36. > :28:40.line. Again, he can't get close enough. Again, nip and tuck between
:28:41. > :28:45.Hamilton and Rosberg. Rosberg is quicker in the first sector, they
:28:46. > :28:50.are the same in the second. 1.1 was the gap last time. Alonso comes with
:28:51. > :28:55.the overspeed, Raikkonen goes defensive. Raikkonen will do the
:28:56. > :29:01.cutback, meanwhile Rosberg is within 0.9 of Hamilton, in the DRS zone.
:29:02. > :29:05.Alonso will look for the exit on turn three, a potential overtaking
:29:06. > :29:10.spot-on the approach to turn four. He has lined it up beautifully down
:29:11. > :29:14.the inside, Fernando Alonso gets passed his team-mate. Ferrari go
:29:15. > :29:19.racing, and that is what we want to see, and so do the fans in the
:29:20. > :29:23.grandstands. Rosberg has gained two tenths on
:29:24. > :29:26.Hamilton in the first sector. We are in the closing stages and Lewis
:29:27. > :29:30.Hamilton can see his mirrors beginning to fill ever more with his
:29:31. > :29:34.team-mate Nico Rosberg. What a race this has been between the two of
:29:35. > :29:38.them. Not yet the wheel-to-wheel confrontation of Bahrain but
:29:39. > :29:43.pressure the whole way through. It seems that Rosberg has the momentum
:29:44. > :29:47.he didn't quite have in Bahrain. He is quicker in the last sector, he
:29:48. > :29:51.was about the same in the middle sector. Rosberg is going to close up
:29:52. > :29:54.even further, and that is the pressure that Hamilton has been
:29:55. > :30:01.under. Rosberg has been tidier in this last sector. Is it enough? This
:30:02. > :30:06.is beautiful racing. And let us see what Sebastian Vettel did to get
:30:07. > :30:11.past Valtteri Bottas in the end. Fairly simple. He went for it down
:30:12. > :30:17.into turn ten, so the straight line spiel of the Williams wasn't such an
:30:18. > :30:21.issue. That brings Vettel up into fourth place. Look at the two
:30:22. > :30:25.Mercedes, two laps to go. The DRS in operation, Hamilton having a quick
:30:26. > :30:29.look in his many error, Rosberg may only get one chance to do this, can
:30:30. > :30:33.he get past Lewis Hamilton, to take victory? Neither of them have ever
:30:34. > :30:41.won this Spanish Grand Prix. I am going to close my eyes, bench
:30:42. > :30:44.Talk Talk me through it. -- Ben. You will miss out on something special.
:30:45. > :30:48.The revenge for Bahrain is what Nico Rosberg is looking for, he got
:30:49. > :30:52.beaten by Lewis Hamilton on the day it looked as though Rosberg has the
:30:53. > :30:59.pace but Hamilton outraced him. Rosberg wants to get him back Anyone
:31:00. > :31:02.just tuning in, we have Hamilton leading on the prime tyre which is
:31:03. > :31:06.not as quick and it is all down to how they have managed them as they
:31:07. > :31:11.get into the last couple of laps of this Grand Prix. Wonderful stuff,
:31:12. > :31:13.and Mercedes allowing these guys to go race, they will lap Kimi
:31:14. > :31:18.Raikkonen who is in seventh position, which is remarkable in
:31:19. > :31:23.itself. Could he play a part in the outcome toff of this Will Raikkonen
:31:24. > :31:28.play ball? Let us wait and see. The pressure on both of them here as
:31:29. > :31:32.they try and extract every thousand of a second. You are onboard with
:31:33. > :31:40.Rosberg. Watching the back of Hamilton's car. Up ahead is the
:31:41. > :31:45.Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen. Rosberg is as close as he has been.
:31:46. > :31:49.Looks like Hamilton is too far back to get the DRS from Raikkonen.
:31:50. > :31:54.Hamilton focussed on the final lap and Rosberg, has he got a chance?
:31:55. > :31:58.This is great for Hamilton. Raikkonen gets past, good driving
:31:59. > :32:01.from Raikkonen. Really allowing them both past That caught Hamilton by
:32:02. > :32:07.surprise. Raikkonen has just lifted well out of the power, and there was
:32:08. > :32:10.no need to sort of jink out of that slipstream so much, but Hamilton
:32:11. > :32:14.will have all eyes on the road ahead, but you have this peripheral
:32:15. > :32:18.vision of the change of colour in your mirror, you know when there is
:32:19. > :32:23.another car hunting you down, and well, he will have a glance before
:32:24. > :32:27.all the key area, concentrate on your exit. He won't feel any
:32:28. > :32:31.concern, he will glance in the mirrors now, he will be breathing
:32:32. > :32:34.through seven, he knows he has to get a great drive up the hill. He
:32:35. > :32:38.can't afford to make a mistake in nine. Where the pressure builds is
:32:39. > :32:43.in the braking zone at ten, last lap round, he locked the rear and then
:32:44. > :32:47.slid and then had a locking of the front tyre. That will be in his
:32:48. > :32:51.mind. He will have to be braking cautious. You can see Rosberg tries
:32:52. > :32:55.to squeeze up against him. But it is Rosberg who gets that
:32:56. > :32:58.little bit of a lock up. I think it has just cost him a length or so. It
:32:59. > :33:03.will be the chequered flag awaiting for them, as they come out of the
:33:04. > :33:07.final section, just got the chicane on the last corner turn 16 to go,
:33:08. > :33:14.and Rosberg has not quite been able to get there. What a heroic effort,
:33:15. > :33:18.what a brilliant performance by both Mercede drivers but it is Lewis
:33:19. > :33:23.Hamilton who takes his fourth straight win of 2014. His first ever
:33:24. > :33:27.win in Barcelona. He BAs his team-mate to take the lead in the
:33:28. > :33:32.World Championship. What a way to do it. Under pressure to the chequered
:33:33. > :33:38.flag but a brilliant performance again from the Englishman.
:33:39. > :33:41.Lewis Hamilton, the winner here, in Spain. Fourth straight win of the
:33:42. > :33:47.season, putting him to the top of the points standings for the first
:33:48. > :33:54.time in nearly two years. So to confirm the result. There it
:33:55. > :33:57.is. Daniel Ricciardo a brilliant third
:33:58. > :34:03.for him. Sebastian Vettel fourth, his best of the season. Valtteri
:34:04. > :34:07.Bottas in fifth and Fernando Alonso sixth. Nico Hulkenberg rounding out
:34:08. > :34:10.the top ten. In terms of the drives' Championship it looks like this.
:34:11. > :34:15.There is a new leader in the form of Lewis Hamilton. Just three points
:34:16. > :34:19.the difference between them him an his team-mate Nico Rosberg. Fernando
:34:20. > :34:26.Alonso third, Sebastian Vettel fourth, Ricciardo fifth and Nico
:34:27. > :34:31.Hulkenberg in sixth. The Constructors Championship looks
:34:32. > :34:34.the same. Red Bull are second. Ferrari third, Force India fourth
:34:35. > :34:39.and Williams are up to fifth place. Now let us hear from the main
:34:40. > :34:45.players. To get four wins in a row, it is just, I can't, I just, I can't
:34:46. > :34:50.really get my head round it. It is incredible. Nico made it difficult
:34:51. > :34:58.for me today, and that, I don't take that lightly. Bit by bit I am
:34:59. > :35:03.banging on that door and banging on Nico's. It is difficult when you are
:35:04. > :35:07.in the scenarios like this. Nico is strong mentally, to break that and
:35:08. > :35:11.keep attacking it. Weekend after weekend, he is a very -- he is very
:35:12. > :35:17.strong throughout the race, but to be in the lead, I mean, again, I
:35:18. > :35:20.come in -- I can't remember theless time I with us in the lead in the
:35:21. > :35:25.Championship. I will enjoy the moment but there a long way to go.
:35:26. > :35:29.In terms of the psychological battle you and Lewis seem to have. It he
:35:30. > :35:33.said it is important to break you down mentally, because that is your
:35:34. > :35:38.strength. Lewis is a friend but he is your biggest rival. How tough is
:35:39. > :35:42.it? Break me down mentally, that is good to know! I think he will
:35:43. > :35:47.struggle with that one, but no, you know, I am positively focussed, but
:35:48. > :35:51.of course he has the momentum, because there is no way round that,
:35:52. > :35:57.when you get the results it gives you that bit extra momentum and I
:35:58. > :36:01.need to try and break that down, so yes, vice versa, try and do the same
:36:02. > :36:08.thing, and next opportunity is Monaco. The start didn't get off as
:36:09. > :36:12.well as we would have liked. We had damage limitation. Tries to get
:36:13. > :36:17.Bottas in the first, there was times when I was feeling racy as we say,
:36:18. > :36:22.but then it was just about the strategy, team said let us try and
:36:23. > :36:28.undercut. I was happy to do that. It was more fun than the last race
:36:29. > :36:32.where I had to let people by. Yes, realise I am not quick enough, but
:36:33. > :36:37.think all in all it was the maximum we could do. The start was bad. I
:36:38. > :36:40.lost the place I think to Adrian, and then I was able to get it back
:36:41. > :36:44.towards the end of the lap, but it is always tricky when you back
:36:45. > :36:49.there, very busy first lap, and then I was sort of stuck in the train.
:36:50. > :36:53.Couldn't really feel how far we could go today and how quick we
:36:54. > :36:57.were, once we came in, and I was able on the harder tyre to stick
:36:58. > :37:03.with the people in front and even catch a bit, I think we realised
:37:04. > :37:10.that the pace was there, so after that we had the two from yesterday
:37:11. > :37:15.which we didn't use in qualifying, and I had to go further up the road.
:37:16. > :37:19.I enjoyed it and it was the best we could do. It took a while to get the
:37:20. > :37:25.blood coursing through the veins but the last ten laps they were really
:37:26. > :37:28.exciting, Mercedes providing so much entertainment for us Out front it
:37:29. > :37:32.was a real battle form this victory, it was not just about the 25 points,
:37:33. > :37:37.it was about who was going to have the upper hand. There was the great
:37:38. > :37:42.battle that we saw from Sebastian Vettel coming through from 15th, to
:37:43. > :37:46.finish fourth. The Ferrari driver, three stops for Alonso, two for
:37:47. > :37:53.rake, they weren't giving an inch. We saw an step forward from
:37:54. > :37:57.Williams. Valtteri Bottas a solid fifth place In the end they didn't
:37:58. > :38:00.have the race pace, they are struggling for the development of
:38:01. > :38:04.the aerodynamic performance, overall it is a solid performance from
:38:05. > :38:08.Williams, when you consider where they were coming from last year.
:38:09. > :38:12.Perhaps the same could be said for Lotus with Grosjean. He performed
:38:13. > :38:17.well. Great performance in qualifying. I am impressed with how
:38:18. > :38:20.he kept his head. When you consider what a terrible time they have had
:38:21. > :38:25.through testing and in the opening Grand Prix, he has kept his focus,
:38:26. > :38:29.delivered when the car has given him an opportunity. That is a real boost
:38:30. > :38:33.for them. Lewis Hamilton reigned in Spain and goes ahead in the World
:38:34. > :38:37.Championship. We will be back in a fortnight with all the highlights
:38:38. > :39:24.from the Monaco Grand Prix. Thank you for watching. See you there.
:39:25. > :39:32.Next time on Formula One. Race six, Monaco Monte Carlo.
:39:33. > :39:37.MUSIC: "The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song" by the Flaming Lips
:39:38. > :39:39.# Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
:39:40. > :39:45.# Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
