:00:29. > :00:34.Good evening. These are exciting times for British golf and the

:00:35. > :00:38.English golf in particular. It is only six weeks since Sheffield's

:00:39. > :00:42.Danny Willett was living on the green jacket at Augusta as Europe's

:00:43. > :00:47.first win of the Masters tournament for nearly 17 years and only the

:00:48. > :00:50.second Englishman ever, following -- following Sir Nick Faldo. There was

:00:51. > :00:56.great anticipation and excitement following that of the new major

:00:57. > :01:01.appearance on the home greens at the prestigious Wentworth Club. This

:01:02. > :01:05.place is, once again, for the 36th year, staging the European Tour

:01:06. > :01:10.prize BMW PGA Championship. Always a highlight of the week is

:01:11. > :01:18.the Wednesday pro-am. Some laughs and we got to enjoy their fellow

:01:19. > :01:22.company from stars of cricket and sprinkling of stardust from the

:01:23. > :01:28.likes of a member of One Direction. And it was the Irishman's group. And

:01:29. > :01:34.it was Colsaerts who took the programme honours this time. I'm

:01:35. > :01:43.sure Nile Wilson penning a best ever song again after that.

:01:44. > :01:46.The serious stuff got underway on Thursday morning for the Dubai

:01:47. > :01:51.rankings. The first day was a fine day and the

:01:52. > :01:58.chance for the players to attack the West Coast. It is best to have a bit

:01:59. > :02:02.of power for this and Australian Scott Hend has plenty. He set the

:02:03. > :02:08.pace. He led for a while on his own but was eventually joined by a major

:02:09. > :02:17.winner, YE Yang. Here you started with a bogey at eight birdies

:02:18. > :02:27.followed. -- he started. A total of nine further Joost Luiten to make it

:02:28. > :02:30.at the top. This man opened with a 4-under 68. The name making most

:02:31. > :02:36.headlines was that of Danny Willett, the new master opening with a bogey

:02:37. > :02:42.free, 66, to sit behind the trio of first-round leaders. Day two brought

:02:43. > :02:47.an early start for Willett and what a start for the early-morning crowd.

:02:48. > :02:51.He would falter coming back, taking ten shots more to reach the

:02:52. > :02:55.clubhouse but a 68 left him 10-under, now leading on his own,

:02:56. > :03:01.and coping with his new-found home. -- found fame. A use to be to do my

:03:02. > :03:05.own thing but now people are saying, tell me what you're doing, which is

:03:06. > :03:10.fine, is part and parcel, it's what I should expect, but it is new is a

:03:11. > :03:16.concept. And he should soon have new company at the top of the

:03:17. > :03:23.leaderboard. A closing eagle took his fellow player to 10-under. And a

:03:24. > :03:30.steady 69 left Yang on the same mark. The Scott Jamieson, he was

:03:31. > :03:34.inch perfect on the ten. Having missed his last four cuts, you would

:03:35. > :03:38.make the weekend here and can drive home on Sunday night in his

:03:39. > :03:43.brand-new prize. Well, despite those hiccups, the

:03:44. > :03:51.Masters champion Danny Willett still at the head of the field.

:03:52. > :03:59.He has some good company. YE Yang playing only his fifth event of the

:04:00. > :04:05.year. But seven men within five shots off the lead. Among them two

:04:06. > :04:10.of the hottest players of the year. Also within striking distance the

:04:11. > :04:14.likes of two-time champion Luke Donald and fellow former world

:04:15. > :04:19.number one Lee Westwood. Matthew Fitzpatrick and Graeme McDowell

:04:20. > :04:27.eight behind, wealth offending champion from career is on level

:04:28. > :04:31.par. Last night Scotland's Paul Lawrie and Russell knocks were left

:04:32. > :04:39.out. Much of the intrigue centres on

:04:40. > :04:43.whether Danny Willett can convert his co-lead into a third victory of

:04:44. > :04:48.the year. How well is he handling his new status as a major winner? So

:04:49. > :04:51.well. It must be so difficult because suddenly from nowhere

:04:52. > :04:56.everybody wants a piece of you, you have to be out, have to do this, do

:04:57. > :05:00.that. He has a new son as well. But he is handling it fantastically well

:05:01. > :05:05.and wherever you come and play, when you are the centre of attention, it

:05:06. > :05:09.must be so difficult. And it takes Major winners to find their feet --

:05:10. > :05:14.a bit of time to find their feet, and, as you say, it is the grist

:05:15. > :05:18.sharper scrutiny, the expectation and the fact he is the highest

:05:19. > :05:23.ranked player in his field. This is a fantastic trophy to have on your

:05:24. > :05:25.cabinet. He would like to win this. He was writing there last week in

:05:26. > :05:32.Ireland and he is writing here this week. His play on 29 was fantastic.

:05:33. > :05:38.A fantastic effort. So he is right there, 10-under par, so he has to

:05:39. > :05:43.have two good rounds. Well, what would this day bring? Let's bring

:05:44. > :05:46.you up to speed. Two-time champion Martin Kaymer was

:05:47. > :05:51.up to speed and he's found some form recently. He began the day 4-under

:05:52. > :05:55.par after being this last week in Ireland. Close enough for a first

:05:56. > :06:00.birdie of the day with the German on the move five behind.

:06:01. > :06:07.He hasn't won a regular event in five years but pushed on. An equal

:06:08. > :06:12.chance gratefully taken and suddenly the Ryder Cup hero only three away

:06:13. > :06:18.from the top on 7-under par. He is very much in the picture. And this

:06:19. > :06:27.is modern's 10th appearance here at one with in the Championship. --

:06:28. > :06:31.Martin's 10th appearance. So only two off the pace now, which is being

:06:32. > :06:40.maintained by playing partners Danny Willett and Scott Hend. Both at

:06:41. > :06:51.10-under. YE Yang is a shot behind. Let's joined the commentary team.

:06:52. > :06:54.Thank you, his name. And at last Willett is ready to play. A simple

:06:55. > :07:02.looking shot. Short iron, could be well down the shop. Pulls his watch

:07:03. > :07:07.hand into that left-hand. Doesn't tuck his arms in very quickly. It

:07:08. > :07:21.seems to go to the left. That's on the green. A good shot. That nice

:07:22. > :07:36.for putt at the second seems to have settled Yang. This is his second for

:07:37. > :07:46.the third. This could be very close. This could dot mac oh, unlucky. A

:07:47. > :08:03.slightly Augustan type shop there. -- shot. This is not easy, playing

:08:04. > :08:11.maybe a 4-iron. I don't know. Will it get up? That's good. Delightful.

:08:12. > :08:19.Lovely birdsong. I suppose they are watching as anxiously as we are!

:08:20. > :08:27.Second up to the third. Nature's chorus watching in this green. Has

:08:28. > :08:29.been here 19 times. Look at those two cracking shots. One went one

:08:30. > :08:49.way, one went the other. Willett for his two at the second.

:08:50. > :08:53.Tricky to read, this one. Tracking a good turn just as he gets to the

:08:54. > :09:03.hole, straightens up. Caught so many people out today.

:09:04. > :09:11.This putt to go 6-under. And he's done it. He really is becoming a

:09:12. > :09:25.formidable player. Used to be a bit nervy but seems to be better.

:09:26. > :09:35.Now the Tour one from Bristol. -- tall. Chris Wood. What a beauty.

:09:36. > :09:42.Flag on the lower level, as yesterday. Kaymer at the seventh.

:09:43. > :09:47.This is a critical one. A marvellous save in front of the Green and he's

:09:48. > :09:51.done it with a super up-and-down from an awkward spot. Keep the

:09:52. > :10:04.momentum of the round going. Just two behind. The birdie at the third

:10:05. > :10:10.after that excellent second. Just on the top side. This our side.

:10:11. > :10:14.Right-hand side. Like that. Very smoothly done. Looks so easy,

:10:15. > :10:33.doesn't it? Yang's birdie putt. Now, he came

:10:34. > :10:39.back off the slope... Ooh! He looks a bit edgy on those. Little body

:10:40. > :10:48.movement. A bit of cha-cha-cha. But in it went. Willett's third shot.

:10:49. > :10:50.Found the deep, deep bunker on the right. Could only get it out some

:10:51. > :11:16.yards. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:11:17. > :11:24.I just think it was like on the soft.

:11:25. > :11:31.Read it perfectly. Well done! Looked like it was running out of puff.

:11:32. > :11:42.Just enough pace and that takes into 7-under. -- takes him to.

:11:43. > :11:53.Chris Wood after a lovely tee shot at the 14th for a par-3. Bang! Well

:11:54. > :11:58.done. Nicely done, Chris. Won a lovely BMW last year. Moves to

:11:59. > :12:03.5-under. This really is a bunker. This isn't

:12:04. > :12:07.one of those flat, pussycat things. This is one of those big ones! Well

:12:08. > :12:32.played. Easy when you know how. Well, after that splendid third

:12:33. > :12:38.shot, Willett has this to remain up at the head of affairs.

:12:39. > :12:47.Yeah. Well done. Turns to the caddy, a little chatter... May be short of

:12:48. > :13:05.a word or ten! Van Zyl. Beautifully done. Both

:13:06. > :13:11.players dealing with the sand very well. Four tied now for the lead on

:13:12. > :13:29.par. He joins Yang and Willett. Campillo is third. He's getting

:13:30. > :13:43.there slowly. Just has to drop one stroke. So, there we are. Four out

:13:44. > :13:45.in front 10-under par. Kaymer in hot pursuit as well. A big-name making

:13:46. > :14:09.his move today. That's a good tee shot from Julien

:14:10. > :14:21.Quesne on that hole. Going for it. And getting it. So, a chance to

:14:22. > :14:33.finish birdie, birdie, eagle. Well, van Zyl stabbing it in there

:14:34. > :14:38.and there it goes. A sorry effort. 18th and it's going to be a fiery

:14:39. > :14:49.finish for Julien Quesne. This, an eagle for the last. Scheduling up.

:14:50. > :14:58.-- rolling up. Now, van Zyl has just joined the leaders on 10-under and

:14:59. > :15:03.needs to -- this is to stay there. So, back to 9-under for the South

:15:04. > :15:08.African. A bogey on the second, a couple of birdies on three and four

:15:09. > :15:18.and then this bogey on the fifth. He goes one shot behind now. Now, Yang

:15:19. > :15:23.deserved better from his little pitch. Just didn't go up the pitch

:15:24. > :15:30.for enough. Does move a lot, doesn't he? That ball was well wide.

:15:31. > :15:40.The last hole. Birdies at the last three. Moves him to 6-under.

:15:41. > :15:47.Currently tied for sixth position. I said they make a few quid on a

:15:48. > :15:53.Sunday! Round in 67. Kaymer has been looking fairly hot. Looking to close

:15:54. > :15:58.this out with another birdie to get within one of the leaders. He

:15:59. > :16:02.thought he had that. We did as well. It'll be a par and an outward nine

:16:03. > :16:21.of 31. Putting himself right in contention today. Willett and Hend

:16:22. > :16:28.tied in the lead. Chris Wood with a good chance on the 17th. He's in

:16:29. > :16:32.that group at six and under. Yang in the middle of the bunker, so should

:16:33. > :16:41.be able to get it out. And he does. Needed to be quick. That's a

:16:42. > :16:46.magnificent effort, a magnificent shot. Running out. Well, you won't

:16:47. > :16:56.see many better than that today. That was high-quality. We have the

:16:57. > :16:57.details. A 14 inch drop, this putt. Doesn't sound much but it is quite

:16:58. > :17:13.quick for Danny. Just caressed it. A double break and

:17:14. > :17:17.in it goes! A beautiful putt and wonderfully read by Danny Willett.

:17:18. > :17:20.Came back a bit and he judged it superbly and Danny Willett with his

:17:21. > :17:29.first birdie of the day. He leads on his own. A bit of movement in this

:17:30. > :17:34.one. You can see where Peter Hanson is aiming. That pinned so close to

:17:35. > :17:40.the water today. Wonderful. Wonderful putt by the Swede. Second

:17:41. > :17:48.birdie of the day for him. He's up to 7-under, no drop shots. But

:17:49. > :17:53.taking that flag on the eighth. After a brilliant shot out of the

:17:54. > :18:10.fairway bunker to get within one... Very slow up the hill.

:18:11. > :18:16.Forward momentum for the Masters champion Danny Willett. On Friday he

:18:17. > :18:20.led the Championship by five shots and he's been pegged back but now he

:18:21. > :18:30.has his nose in front by a single shot once again.

:18:31. > :18:37.If he's not too far away he should... He has clipped the top of

:18:38. > :18:38.it. A little greedy. Must have been right up against it with his second

:18:39. > :18:53.on the 11th. This is an awkward one. If he can

:18:54. > :19:04.get this on the Greenhill have played a mighty good shot. -- on the

:19:05. > :19:10.green, he will have played. And he has. And that will go through the

:19:11. > :19:22.back. Might not be all that bad. It scuttles through the back. Tricky to

:19:23. > :19:27.get down in two. So many deliberations over this shot for

:19:28. > :19:30.Danny Willett. Just over the edge. 125, 130. Too much spin and it might

:19:31. > :19:40.come all the way back down the slope. Try to get it beyond the

:19:41. > :19:54.flag. There we go. Very nicely played.

:19:55. > :20:04.Kaymer to drop just one... A catalogue of errors on the 11th hole

:20:05. > :20:14.the Kaymer. And his round had been so impressive as well. A real shame.

:20:15. > :20:18.But perhaps of his own making. Now, Danny Willett on the seventh. Some

:20:19. > :20:23.trouble for his playing partner Scott Hend. But Willett for his

:20:24. > :20:39.birdie. He's given it a race. Not too far

:20:40. > :20:53.from going all the way down the front. Now, Chris Wood. Came out of

:20:54. > :21:00.the bunker to here for his closing birdie. A very good chance here on

:21:01. > :21:04.the 18th. Could have been a miraculous finish. Birdies on the

:21:05. > :21:11.14th and 16th as well. But still a 68 for Chris Wood. He sits alongside

:21:12. > :21:17.Julien Quesne. He is in that group of 6-under par but could have been

:21:18. > :21:25.better. Here's the result of that little chip from Scott Hend. No...

:21:26. > :21:40.That's gone on as well. At least one shot will go for the Australian.

:21:41. > :21:48.Testy putt for Willett. This for a par.

:21:49. > :22:12.Now, Scott Hend to drop just one on the seventh, which he manages, but

:22:13. > :22:18.he is down in that group of 9-under. Two behind Danny Willett. So,

:22:19. > :22:30.slipping away from Danny Willett a little bit. Chris Wood with his 68,

:22:31. > :22:34.leaving him 6-under par and having a chat with Hazel.

:22:35. > :22:40.A five hyphen five finish in that round and I sensed a bit of

:22:41. > :22:44.frustration today, would I be right? I've played lovely today. I didn't

:22:45. > :22:51.birdie one par five. So the par fives here are very score full. I

:22:52. > :22:55.had a 5-iron into 18 and it caught the bunker by a yard and then a yard

:22:56. > :22:58.further left and it's maybe five feet away. Yeah, it's frustrating

:22:59. > :23:05.when you feel like you leave a few out there.

:23:06. > :23:13.Kaymer for a birdie at the 12th and he gets it. Thank goodness for that.

:23:14. > :23:21.Dropped two strokes at the last hole and now back to 7-under. Note of the

:23:22. > :23:25.14th, and Thomas Aiken. -- now to the 14th. The South African moves to

:23:26. > :23:45.6-under. A big group on 6-under. Well, Yang taking the aerial route

:23:46. > :23:51.here on the ninth. A lot of trees have been cleared out there to the

:23:52. > :24:00.left-hand side. Silver birch trees. Keep on rolling.

:24:01. > :24:13.Up to the 18th. Hatton, who has had a super round. It just ran out of

:24:14. > :24:19.steam. That is a par five finish. A good round of golf from Tyrrell

:24:20. > :24:29.Hatton. He'll be our late tomorrow. 8-under. A good round, 66. -- out

:24:30. > :24:39.late. Yang on the ninth for a par. No. After a good tee shot, Mr

:24:40. > :24:49.Greenwald Lee for the left. -- missed the green wildly. Another

:24:50. > :24:58.shot dropped. Nine holes played. Should have done better. Now, this

:24:59. > :25:03.is what you call an up and under. You have to flip it up quickly or

:25:04. > :25:08.you can roll it up over the bank. That's delightful. It is so, so

:25:09. > :25:15.tricky. Impossible to leave it shot without leaving it in the bunker

:25:16. > :25:22.almost. Can he finish it off, van Zyl? Can he save his par here at the

:25:23. > :25:34.ninth? No. That was never running at the hole, was it? Very scrappy.

:25:35. > :25:48.Willett. Second to the ninth. A flattish green. A straightforward

:25:49. > :25:52.shot. Well, I find it hard to believe these talented players with

:25:53. > :26:09.a short iron and that really is very poor.

:26:10. > :26:27.Yang, second. Right at the 10th. That left for a par three. Danny

:26:28. > :26:30.Willett's third shot to the ninth. The leaders are struggling. This

:26:31. > :26:44.isn't easy. Shouldn't have been here. Sounded fluffy. That's the

:26:45. > :26:52.price you pay for a poor second. But you're not alone, Daniel.

:26:53. > :27:01.Yang is hanging in there but only just. Straight across the face of

:27:02. > :27:03.the hole. So bogeys at nine and ten and he drops to 7-under. Ten, minus

:27:04. > :27:22.ten. The first Asian player to win a

:27:23. > :27:35.major Championship. The PGA in 2009. The last pair out here on the ninth.

:27:36. > :27:42.For this shot for Willett. -- fourth shot. No. Well, from a beautiful

:27:43. > :27:53.drive in the perfect spot... That's not dead yet. That's three, four

:27:54. > :27:58.feet away. This is how it looks at the minute.

:27:59. > :28:01.Danny Willett dropping a stroke. He leads by one from Scott Hend.

:28:02. > :28:08.Tyrrell Hatton had a wonderful round at 66 and he is with Hazel.

:28:09. > :28:14.So, congratulations. A whisker off the 65 and what a back nine for you

:28:15. > :28:17.today. Yes, very happy with that. I think it's my lowest round here.

:28:18. > :28:23.First round in the 60s so very pleased. How special is it to

:28:24. > :28:26.produce a performance like that? And at a place that I know is really

:28:27. > :28:30.special for you. Tell everyone why you love this place so much. I've

:28:31. > :28:35.been walking around this place since I was five and I was in awe of the

:28:36. > :28:42.guys inside the ropes, and for me now playing my third BMW PGA, it's

:28:43. > :28:46.great. I love this event. COMMENTATOR: Second to the 10th and

:28:47. > :28:47.this is awkward. Where is he going to land it? How is it going to

:28:48. > :29:17.bounce? Westwood, nearing the end of his

:29:18. > :29:27.round. And that is well done, 6-under, another birdie at the last

:29:28. > :29:33.And he will be cheerful tomorrow. A small 1-shot lead.

:29:34. > :29:44.Has he got it? Oh, no! I thought it might just run out. He dropped to

:29:45. > :30:04.9-under. Scott Hend joint leader. A puff of wind behind us not help

:30:05. > :30:08.Yang, trying to land it softly on the green. Trying to get it to come

:30:09. > :30:16.down softly. He does, a little upslope, could not have pitched that

:30:17. > :30:22.better. He will have an equal chance. Standing a little below the

:30:23. > :30:29.ball, Scott Hend. It will move a little bit to the left in the F. Oh,

:30:30. > :30:35.dear, yes! Look at that! Foot further, it would have stuck in the

:30:36. > :30:40.rough and been nigh on impossible. A birdie chance, wonderful shot from

:30:41. > :30:44.Scott Hend. Jaco van Zyl, the yawning bunker short of the flag,

:30:45. > :30:51.but he has seen his playing partner put a very good shot in here.

:30:52. > :31:07.Elegant swing, a cry of, be good. Landing so softly. Just hanging on.

:31:08. > :31:11.On the very edge of the green. It is going to break hard to his right. He

:31:12. > :31:21.will stab it forward. Too difficult. It better sit down or

:31:22. > :31:25.it is going to go and go. Just about managers to. -- it's just about

:31:26. > :31:42.manages to. So, Willett and Hend, one quarter

:31:43. > :31:45.today, and a chance for why you Yang to get back into things. -- Y E

:31:46. > :31:57.Yang. That is slipping away from him.

:31:58. > :32:02.Bogey on the ninth, bogey on the 10th and 11th, can easily happen

:32:03. > :32:10.around here that Danny Willett is acting 8-under par. Hend has a

:32:11. > :32:18.chance to extend his lead now. And it goes, three for him to the five

:32:19. > :32:22.four Willett and Hend has a two shot lead. Van Zyl for an eagle will take

:32:23. > :32:36.into 8-under. He makes his birdie there. So,

:32:37. > :33:01.7-under par. And up-and-down day but hanging in there.

:33:02. > :33:08.So, YE Yang, a glorious second shot into the 12th. This for three to

:33:09. > :33:16.take into 9-under. He does not convince on the putts, YE Yang. But

:33:17. > :33:19.it is a 2-putt birdie. He will move to 8-under alongside Hatton and

:33:20. > :33:31.Willett. So, suddenly, things are comfortable

:33:32. > :33:35.for Scott Hend, and again he has not had to do too much. Level par for

:33:36. > :33:43.his round but two shots clear from Tyrell Hatton, a marvellous 66 which

:33:44. > :33:46.has catapulted him up the board. Lee Westwood is alongside Chris Wood.

:33:47. > :33:53.They are getting in contention as well ahead of the final day.

:33:54. > :34:06.The 18th, Lee Westwood's second to the par-5. Water left, bunker on the

:34:07. > :34:13.right, and narrow parting surface. -- putting surface. He has left

:34:14. > :34:23.himself a pretty tricky one but it is on dry land.

:34:24. > :34:30.Danny Willett, 3-wood off the tee, he has left himself a 4-iron. You

:34:31. > :34:34.can deceive the pin just above the shaft of his club. The left-hand

:34:35. > :34:40.side of the green. It pot up on him, and out into the

:34:41. > :35:01.front right bunker. A massive drive leaves Scott Hend

:35:02. > :35:12.with a mid iron. Picking the wind is becoming a problem.

:35:13. > :35:23.It had a soft bounce, I have seen them go to that little wooden fence.

:35:24. > :35:29.A lovely car therefore a hole in one.

:35:30. > :35:35.Ducks, everyone, duck! Oh, my goodness! I hope that was not

:35:36. > :35:44.someone's head. Catch! It is still bouncing! He will have to get his

:35:45. > :35:47.own car for that one. Someone is going to stop it. The Marshall is

:35:48. > :36:00.after it. Westwood, a little pitch to hear and

:36:01. > :36:04.it goes in, so Lee Westwood finishes birdie, birdie. So often can be done

:36:05. > :36:11.here at Wentworth. Back in 35, out in 33. 68, not a blemish on the

:36:12. > :36:20.card, and 7-under par, right in there. Hend is the leader, to clear

:36:21. > :36:34.at the moment, about 2-putt, but down in two is going to do. Judged

:36:35. > :36:45.that very nicely. Can Yang make his par? What a great forehand, trouble

:36:46. > :36:56.off the tee, he stays at 8-under. A fabulous finish to this course with

:36:57. > :37:03.the fives offering something. After a bit of help from his caddy, he is

:37:04. > :37:08.leaning towards the left edge. It turns a little to the right. Oh, no,

:37:09. > :37:24.pushed it. Did not allow enough. Well, par, after a good tee shot,

:37:25. > :37:35.you would have thought he would have made a birdie.

:37:36. > :37:45.He likes this little rescue, does Mr Yang.

:37:46. > :37:56.Oh, my goodness me. Good luck with that one! He has got a good line,

:37:57. > :37:59.looks to have a backswing but he is just trying to avoid that left-hand

:38:00. > :38:09.fairway bunker popping into position. Straight back. That was

:38:10. > :38:20.square on middle stump, the sound it made!

:38:21. > :38:34.The leader is in bother, Peter. When you hit a tree three feet in front

:38:35. > :38:40.of you, it seems a bit silly. Chipped it in the ditch? No, it is

:38:41. > :38:43.all right. Danny Willett got a good shoot off the back of the bunker.

:38:44. > :38:45.Was not pleased with his drive, it has not done too badly, the good

:38:46. > :38:59.line to come into the 13th. Someone like it. I am not sure Danny

:39:00. > :39:07.did, though. It is fine. Good for distance. There is a lot of change

:39:08. > :39:13.happening here in the 13th. Yang from the back of the 14th. If you

:39:14. > :39:19.talk about delicate shots, it could be very good.

:39:20. > :39:28.Well, you could not do it much better than that. If it went in the

:39:29. > :39:34.hole, if it had gone in! That was a classic little dab. He leads by two,

:39:35. > :39:44.but he has played three already on the 13th, Scott Hend, and 112 to the

:39:45. > :39:51.flag. Can he salvage the situation? He certainly can. That to drop just

:39:52. > :40:01.one, damage limitation of the highest order from Scott Hend.

:40:02. > :40:02.Playing hard to get, this is. She is not at all interested in the Gulf or

:40:03. > :40:06.him! Just fell away at the end. Stop the

:40:07. > :40:48.rot. This putt of Hend, for a very

:40:49. > :40:56.adventurous five. What the journey. Only one drop shot.

:40:57. > :41:02.Hend still leads, but only by one after salvaging that bogey on the

:41:03. > :41:08.13th. Tyrrell Hatton is looking better and better after his 66. Yang

:41:09. > :41:16.and Willett a couple over for the day. And Lee Westwood, birdies on

:41:17. > :41:19.the 17th and 18th for his 68. 23rd straight appearance in this

:41:20. > :41:24.Championship. I know you are very proud of that. A bogey free 68. A

:41:25. > :41:28.few chances tomorrow? It gives me a better chance than this morning. I

:41:29. > :41:32.closed the gap little bit. It is not playing quite so easy today. I was

:41:33. > :41:38.pleased that I did not make any mistakes. I did not really hole a

:41:39. > :41:40.putt over four feet, so to shoot 68 shows the quality of my tee shot

:41:41. > :41:53.game. You can see what is on offer for a

:41:54. > :41:58.hole in one, he could not do it today, this is the last group. If

:41:59. > :42:06.you can get just the right distance. You do not want to be too far beyond

:42:07. > :42:11.the hole, though. Go back, go back! So close to going all the way back

:42:12. > :42:22.down there. That is fast, fast down that slope. They will be wondering

:42:23. > :42:28.why there is so little applause while Hend keys up.

:42:29. > :42:39.His tee shot on the way. Will it towards the back of the green. It

:42:40. > :42:48.will drift away but on the same level. That is not too bad. That was

:42:49. > :42:49.a cracking tee shot from YE Yang on the 15th, a little rescue club

:42:50. > :43:02.again. And that is just as QWERTY, nasty,

:43:03. > :43:09.unpleasant, horrible, awful, goodbye!

:43:10. > :43:15.Here he goes, Hend, he has got to get the speed right and the slope.

:43:16. > :43:24.The wider you go, the slower you have got to go. It is running out of

:43:25. > :43:36.speed. Just fell away at the death. Not bad.

:43:37. > :43:44.YE Yang after that second shot of the deepest mediocrity, a bunker on

:43:45. > :43:49.the 15th. Looking to get it to roll out down the slope. It looks like he

:43:50. > :43:53.is going to slip away from the group. They are all coming back to

:43:54. > :43:59.the field, a lot of players coming back into contention. Willett's putt

:44:00. > :44:04.is tricky, way out to the left, quite a big change in elevation to

:44:05. > :44:10.the high ground, to the top of the rich. It should start to go down and

:44:11. > :44:17.turn to the right, gathering speed. Not bad, four feet, but you cannot

:44:18. > :44:25.dab at them, they will end up going way past. Yang to save par on the

:44:26. > :44:32.15th. The leaders are struggling at the moment, the last couple of

:44:33. > :44:39.groups are out on the course. He will slip back to 7-under. If you

:44:40. > :44:47.look at Hend and Willett, 2-over on their round, Jaco van Zyl, 3-over as

:44:48. > :44:51.well. All having trouble. Kaymer to finish, in for a birdie. It is a

:44:52. > :45:00.good round, it could have been so much better. Bogeys on the 16th and

:45:01. > :45:09.17th, that stubble on the 11th. -- that double on the 11th. Hend for a

:45:10. > :45:11.bogey. This is his third putt, he rattled it in. We knew it was a

:45:12. > :45:18.tricky putt, it cost him a shot. Willett with one of those! Well

:45:19. > :45:41.done. Good for the bit feet, and just the

:45:42. > :45:43.right edge with a bit of pace and in she goes. -- good four and a bit

:45:44. > :46:04.feet. Drops back to 6-under. Scott Hend has crashed his tee shot.

:46:05. > :46:11.Something good is slipping away over the last few holes. That is a very

:46:12. > :46:24.loose shot with that club in his hand. Does not look more than a

:46:25. > :46:31.7-iron. Must be at least seven, I think. To Mr Green as badly as that,

:46:32. > :46:37.with such a short club, not good at all. -- to miss the green. Hend for

:46:38. > :47:04.four, going up the hill. This must have, depending on the

:47:05. > :47:15.speed, at least two feet tomorrow. If he hits it too hard, it will go

:47:16. > :47:22.whizzing by. Not high enough. Not quite high enough. Never high

:47:23. > :47:36.enough. Do you think he talks in his sleep as well? After that excellent

:47:37. > :47:53.results, he never looked comfortable.

:47:54. > :48:02.Cord grips. Danny Willett to the 60s, if he gets it right, it is like

:48:03. > :48:07.going down the pluck the sink, you have got to get it to the sink

:48:08. > :48:24.first. -- down the plug hole of the sink. Pitching it past, any spin on

:48:25. > :48:34.it? Oh, no, that is not fair. The 18th, 2-under. A big drive. Not much

:48:35. > :48:38.of a target, though, this 18th. Looks tiny from that end but that is

:48:39. > :48:47.a cracking shot. It could have gone in! Look where he is aiming this,

:48:48. > :48:55.Peter. He is aiming at eight feet to the right. I hope he has got it

:48:56. > :49:04.right. Well, a very, very good effort indeed. That was a splendid

:49:05. > :49:09.go. Out onto the 18th, this for an eagle. And he had done it, well

:49:10. > :49:15.done, what a brilliant finish. Suddenly he has 4-under and very

:49:16. > :49:21.much in the picture. Despite having a very scrappy round, three birdies

:49:22. > :49:33.and seven. A couple of birdies and an eagle at the last.

:49:34. > :49:43.Another stroke going, in that group at 7-under par, so he is now

:49:44. > :49:46.outright leader. What a curious day and expect the

:49:47. > :49:51.three leaders have all gone backwards and instead, it is the

:49:52. > :49:55.young man from Marlow, not 30 minutes from this beautiful venue,

:49:56. > :49:59.Tyrrell Hatton, who holds the outright lead after that wonderful

:50:00. > :50:06.round of 66 today. One shot ahead of Westwood, Yang, Willett and henna.

:50:07. > :50:14.-- Hend. He need a straight shot. Not a lot

:50:15. > :50:17.of room to get in, but anything left leaves him a horrible chip pitch to

:50:18. > :50:29.the flag. Oh, I do not know what happened

:50:30. > :50:34.there. That could have been in the ladies locker room. Very, very

:50:35. > :50:46.strange. Yang with the longer of the tee

:50:47. > :50:58.shots. He has still got along the second shot because he had gone a

:50:59. > :51:03.little bit down the left side. The lucky. Oh, my goodness!

:51:04. > :51:09.A big swing, do you think one of those Nicholson specials? May be. He

:51:10. > :51:34.has tried it. That is a fine result. Mr Yang. He has got to float this

:51:35. > :51:40.up. Land it as softly as he can and it has gone by. Virtually impossible

:51:41. > :51:58.to get that by the hole. This would be a bit of a get out of

:51:59. > :52:06.jail free card. People have missed it on the right.

:52:07. > :52:16.After such a promising start, 1-under after eight holes, he is

:52:17. > :52:22.4-over par for his round. Let's see if Yang can bring some brightness to

:52:23. > :52:32.proceedings. Birdie putt on the last, too much? Only one player in

:52:33. > :52:37.the last eight groups out and apart, that was Martin Kaymer who had his

:52:38. > :52:43.own problems. He finished with 70. YE Yang is in with 75. A lot of 75s

:52:44. > :52:53.out there in the final few groups. Perhaps that is about par. What you

:52:54. > :52:59.think he is hitting from here, five? Five or six. Not a very long shaft.

:53:00. > :53:05.Got the length of the green to come up. As long as it is straight, it is

:53:06. > :53:11.OK. I think he is far enough. Only just, but that could be all right. A

:53:12. > :53:20.little more than all right. A bit of good fortune, a good result. Great

:53:21. > :53:24.result, lucky. He cannot afford any mistakes here. We can't see the

:53:25. > :53:31.ball, nestling down, you have got to loft the club, hit it hard, over the

:53:32. > :53:40.water. And stop it before the bunker at the back of the green, this is

:53:41. > :53:45.note pushover. Stop, stop, he cries. It has sailed over everything. It

:53:46. > :54:05.has been a struggle. How's that for a scene? How is that

:54:06. > :54:10.for a scene? Hospitality is full. Masters champion being welcomed by

:54:11. > :54:23.his hometown crowd. A wonderful setting.

:54:24. > :54:33.Played it beautifully. That was a dab hand, that just caught the edge,

:54:34. > :54:38.if it had, it would have killed it. That was a great result, absolutely

:54:39. > :54:46.splendid. This for the outright lead to get to 9-under. A terrific second

:54:47. > :54:54.shot, brave tee shot, a lovely iron, the aggression this time pays off.

:54:55. > :55:00.Round in 73. 9-under and leading by one.

:55:01. > :55:06.Although it is a short putt, it is missable if you do not get the line

:55:07. > :55:12.right and the speed. You can spin out, left to right, just inside the

:55:13. > :55:20.left lip, really, with a little bit of speed, not too much. Well done. A

:55:21. > :55:29.struggle but it is over. And we live to fight another day.

:55:30. > :55:33.They call Saturday moving day, but it has been moving backwards day for

:55:34. > :55:36.the co-leaders. The joint leaders overnight, Scott Hend still in pole

:55:37. > :55:40.position but one shot worse than before. And thank goodness from his

:55:41. > :55:44.perspective that eagle at the last. But Danny Willett has been one of

:55:45. > :55:50.the major stories of the day. Having been in that overnight lead, it is

:55:51. > :55:53.4-over par round of 76, and he will starts tomorrow in a tie for fifth

:55:54. > :56:00.place. We had everything under control nicely and then a couple of

:56:01. > :56:07.bad shots and bad decisions, Mr putts and it slipped away. Same

:56:08. > :56:12.thing, relatively simple par fives on the back nine and we played them

:56:13. > :56:20.badly again. We're not quite fit. It is disappointing to be there or

:56:21. > :56:25.thereabouts and them to play poorly like we did yesterday. After the

:56:26. > :56:28.range, see if we can set something going tomorrow.

:56:29. > :56:31.You had a two shot lead, then suddenly the wheels began to come

:56:32. > :56:38.off, so it that eagle of the last, -- at the last, how much of a rescue

:56:39. > :56:43.without? I was 3-under par coming into the last, making for all three

:56:44. > :56:48.was a bonus. I do not really look at the leaderboard so I did not know.

:56:49. > :56:54.It was a struggle, but steadied a bit coming in in. I know you have

:56:55. > :56:57.won tournaments in seven different countries, two on the European Tour,

:56:58. > :57:01.how big is this Championship and how big the wind would this be worth a

:57:02. > :57:05.happen? Obviously it is a big one, but to put it in perspective, I

:57:06. > :57:11.treat it like another tournament. If things happen afterwards, you go

:57:12. > :57:14.back and retrospectively think about it but right now it is just another

:57:15. > :57:18.golf tournament, I just tried to do what I do for a living.

:57:19. > :57:27.This has been a most unusual Saturday on this PGA champion ship.

:57:28. > :57:31.Scott Hend at the head of the field, but he leads outright only by one

:57:32. > :57:34.shot. It is the master champion Danny Willett in a share for fifth,

:57:35. > :57:38.he is going to have to launch his assault on the title from three

:57:39. > :57:42.shots behind. A cracking data to other English men, Tyrrell Hatton

:57:43. > :57:47.will be going out with Hend in the final playing pair tomorrow, and Lee

:57:48. > :57:55.Westwood who has come so close to this title on eight publications, is

:57:56. > :58:00.also in the mix. But -- on a couple of occasions, is also in the mix.

:58:01. > :58:04.Eight men are within the possibility of getting the lead. We will be back

:58:05. > :58:09.tomorrow night at 6pm. Golf is part of the Olympic games again which are

:58:10. > :58:12.now only 69 days away, and in the build-up to the games, tomorrow we

:58:13. > :58:19.will have live coverage of the rowing World Cup on BBC Two, at 30

:58:20. > :58:22.PM from Switzerland. The GB and Northern Ireland team will be

:58:23. > :58:28.finalised on the night of June. Danny Willett might well be going to

:58:29. > :58:35.Rio as well. But the short-term, his priority list, top of that is to

:58:36. > :58:39.become the BMW PGA champion. We will see if he can come back fighting

:58:40. > :58:44.tomorrow, we will be back at 6pm to see them land the knockout blow.
