:00:29. > :00:36.Did after noon. These are exciting times for British and English golf.

:00:37. > :00:40.It's only six weeks ago that Sheffield's Danny Willett slipped on

:00:41. > :00:45.the green jacket as the first European winner at Augusta National

:00:46. > :00:51.for 17 years, and the first Masters champion since Sir Nick Faldo, and

:00:52. > :00:55.only the second Englishman ever. Understandably there was huge

:00:56. > :00:58.excitement and anticipation about his first appearance on home greens

:00:59. > :01:04.since those heady moments at Augusta. He was the leading

:01:05. > :01:08.attraction coming into this year's BMW PGA Championship here at the

:01:09. > :01:16.beautiful Wentworth Club in Surrey. It's being staged here for the 36th

:01:17. > :01:19.time, and 41 of the top 50 in the Race to Dubai rankings on the

:01:20. > :01:22.European Tour were here. Serious business for Danny and everyone else

:01:23. > :01:26.in this great field that began on Thursday morning.

:01:27. > :01:34.The first day was a fine day and the chance to attack the West Course.

:01:35. > :01:37.Australian Scott Hendy had plenty of power, distance combined with a sure

:01:38. > :01:44.touch on the greens brought him a 7-under six T5, leading for a while

:01:45. > :01:51.on his own, but eventually joined by a major winner, Korea's YE Yang, who

:01:52. > :01:58.went back the US PGA in 2009. Nine in total for Joost Luiten to make it

:01:59. > :02:03.three at the top. Luke Donald going for three titles here, and he has a

:02:04. > :02:08.strong, loving relationship with the West Course, opening with a four

:02:09. > :02:11.under 68. The name it in most headlines was Danny Willett, the new

:02:12. > :02:16.Masters champion opening with a bogey free six T6 sitting just one

:02:17. > :02:20.behind the opening trio of first-round leaders. Day two brought

:02:21. > :02:25.an early start for Danny Willett, what a performance. Six birdies in

:02:26. > :02:29.eight holes took him to the turn in 29. He faltered coming back, taking

:02:30. > :02:37.ten shots more to reach the clubhouse, but 68 left him nicely

:02:38. > :02:40.positioned. I'm used to keeping quiet, doing my practice sessions on

:02:41. > :02:44.my own and now I think I'm being watched all the time! It's fine,

:02:45. > :02:48.it's part and parcel of what you expect, what it takes getting used

:02:49. > :02:52.to. He would soon have company at the top of the leaderboard. Scott

:02:53. > :02:57.Hend devours par fives and it proved on the last with a closing eagle to

:02:58. > :03:02.take him to 10-under. YE Yang had a steady 69 to leave him on the same

:03:03. > :03:07.mark. And a word for Scott Jamieson, his act nine was all pars except the

:03:08. > :03:11.10th, where he was injured perfect. Having missed the last four cuts

:03:12. > :03:13.coming he would make the weekend here and could drive home on Sunday

:03:14. > :03:22.night in his brand-new prize. Despite the hiccups on the homeward

:03:23. > :03:26.half on Friday, Masters champion Danny Willett is still ahead of the

:03:27. > :03:30.field, sharing the honours at the halfway mark with Australia's Scott

:03:31. > :03:35.Hend, a recent Thailand Classic winner, and fellow major winner, YE

:03:36. > :03:46.Yang, playing just his fifth event of the year. Seven men in five shots

:03:47. > :03:50.off the lead. Also within striking distance, the likes of two-time

:03:51. > :03:51.champion here, Luke Donald, and former world number one Lee

:03:52. > :03:57.Westwood. Defending champion Bjarne Hunt and

:03:58. > :04:19.was at level par. -- John Darren Clarke will be watching with

:04:20. > :04:23.interest because this weekend could shape his Ryder Cup team in the

:04:24. > :04:26.autumn with such a huge prize fund on offer. Making the early moves on

:04:27. > :04:35.Sunday, one of the man who would love to star in the, two-time major

:04:36. > :04:40.champion Martin Kaymer who has found form recently. This was his second

:04:41. > :04:45.shot to the 3rd hole and close enough for a first birdie of the

:04:46. > :04:50.day, the German on the move, five behind. Kaymer hasn't won a regular

:04:51. > :04:55.European Tour event for five years, pushed on at the next, eagle chance

:04:56. > :05:01.gratefully taken and the Ryder Cup hero was at 7-under par, just three

:05:02. > :05:06.from the top. The co-leaders knew he was in the picture. This at the

:05:07. > :05:10.short par-3 5th, Martin's 10th appearance at Wentworth in the

:05:11. > :05:17.Championship, and another golden chance to pick up a four shot in

:05:18. > :05:20.three holes. Martin Kaymer just two off the pace, being maintained by

:05:21. > :05:28.playing partners Danny Willett and Australia's Scott Hend, both at

:05:29. > :05:37.10-under. Korea's YE Yang was a shot behind having conceded a shot at the

:05:38. > :05:42.1st. COMMENTATOR: At last, Danny Willett is ready to play. What's a

:05:43. > :05:47.conversation with his caddy. Simple looking shocked, short iron,

:05:48. > :05:56.gripping well down the shaft. -- simple looking shot. Tugging his

:05:57. > :05:58.arms in quickly. Anything bad seems to go to the left. That's a good

:05:59. > :06:13.shot, on the green. Nice little putt at his second for

:06:14. > :06:20.par seems to have settled Yang. Second into the third.

:06:21. > :06:31.This could be very close. Unlucky. It's a slight Augusta type shot,

:06:32. > :06:33.gathering to the front pin, the little valley at the front of the

:06:34. > :06:49.green. This is not easy, playing a four

:06:50. > :06:58.iron. Old-fashioned. It gets up and that's good. Delightful.

:06:59. > :07:06.Some lovely bird song, I suppose they are watching as anxiously as me

:07:07. > :07:14.as he takes his second up to the third. Nature's chorus watching him.

:07:15. > :07:19.This green has been altered umpteen times since the early 1950s. Those

:07:20. > :07:22.shots, one going one way and one going the other. Both have shots for

:07:23. > :07:38.threes. Danny Willett into the second. A

:07:39. > :07:41.tricky one to read. Tracking, when it gets to the hole side it

:07:42. > :07:52.straightens up. It has caught a few people out today. Par, par start for

:07:53. > :08:00.Danny. This putt to go 6-under. And he's done it. Get in. He really is

:08:01. > :08:02.becoming a formidable player. Used to be a bit nervy but seems to be

:08:03. > :08:18.better. Now, the tall one from Bristol.

:08:19. > :08:27.Chris Wood, 14th hole, 4-under par. What a beauty. Flag on the lower

:08:28. > :08:31.level, as yesterday. Martin Kaymer at the 7th. A critical one, it would

:08:32. > :08:36.be a marvellous save from the front of the green. And he's done it.

:08:37. > :08:42.Super up-and-down from an awkward spot. Keeps the moment of the round

:08:43. > :08:52.going. Look at that for a card, just two behind. Van Zyl, birdie at the

:08:53. > :08:59.3rd after the excellent second. Just on the top side, our side, the

:09:00. > :09:03.right-hand side. Like that. Very smoothly done. Looks so easy,

:09:04. > :09:24.doesn't it? Yang's Berdych putter. He came back

:09:25. > :09:33.off the slope. -- Yang's birdie putt. Did the cha-cha-cha, but in it

:09:34. > :09:37.went. Danny Willett's third shot found a deep bunker on the right and

:09:38. > :10:00.he could only get it out 30 or 40 yards.

:10:01. > :10:15.I just think it was, just like you say... Campillo. He read that

:10:16. > :10:27.perfectly. Well done. Looked like it was running out of puff. Just enough

:10:28. > :10:32.pace and it takes him to 7-under. Chris Wood, after a lovely tee shot

:10:33. > :10:41.at the 14th, a par-3. He has this for two. Bank, well done. Nicely

:10:42. > :10:46.done, Chris. They hole-in-one here last year and won a lovely BMW. He

:10:47. > :10:56.moves to 5-under. -- bang, well done. This really is a bunker, not

:10:57. > :10:58.one of those flat, pussycat things, this one is really deep. Well

:10:59. > :11:23.played. Easy when you know how. After that splendid third shot,

:11:24. > :11:33.Willett has this to remain up at the head of affairs. Yeah, well done.

:11:34. > :11:39.Turns to the candy, a little chatter... No, no. Maybe in a moment

:11:40. > :11:49.or two. Never short of a word or ten.

:11:50. > :11:58.Beautifully done by Van Zyl. Both players dealing with the sand very

:11:59. > :12:02.well. Four tied for the lead on 10-under par. Van Zyl joining Yang,

:12:03. > :12:15.Hend and Willett. Campillo's third, he's getting there

:12:16. > :12:18.slowly after an awkward tee shot. You will have that to drop just one

:12:19. > :12:28.stroke. There we are, four out in front on

:12:29. > :12:38.10-under par with Van Zyl joining that group. Martin Kaymer in hot

:12:39. > :12:48.pursuit. Campillo has dropped a shot, back to 6-under.

:12:49. > :13:00.Good tee shot from Julien Quesne on the final hole. Birdies at 16 and

:13:01. > :13:09.17. Going for it. And getting it. Chance to finish birdie, birdie,

:13:10. > :13:21.eagle. Van Zyl stabbing it in there. I way it goes. A fairly sorry

:13:22. > :13:27.effort. -- away it goes. The 18th, it will be a fiery finish for Julien

:13:28. > :13:37.Quesne. This is for eagle at the last. Scuttling up the field.

:13:38. > :13:48.Now, Van Zyl has just joined the leaders at 10-under and this is to

:13:49. > :13:53.stay there. No. Back to 9-under for the South African. Bogeyed the

:13:54. > :14:00.second, a couple of the these at three and four, and that at the 5th.

:14:01. > :14:14.Backe goes, one shot behind. -- cup aloft -- couple of birdies. Does

:14:15. > :14:23.move a lot, that ball was well wide. Not in yet. Julien Quesne at the

:14:24. > :14:31.last hole. What a finish. Birdies at the last three. 6-under, currently

:14:32. > :14:37.tied sixth. That will make a few quid on Sunday, round in 67. Kaymer

:14:38. > :14:41.has been blowing fairly hot on the front nine and this is to close out

:14:42. > :14:47.with another birdie to get within one of the leaders. He and we

:14:48. > :14:56.thought he had that. It will be a par, outward nine of 31. Puts him in

:14:57. > :15:03.contention today. Danny Willett and Scott Hend tied for the lead with

:15:04. > :15:13.Yang and Van Zyl slipping away with dropped shots on five. Kaymer,

:15:14. > :15:17.steady as she goes with the leaders. Another big lip to come over for

:15:18. > :15:28.white yang. He's in the middle of the bunker. Should get it up, and

:15:29. > :15:35.does. It's a magnificent effort. Magnificent shot, running out. You

:15:36. > :15:46.will not seem any better than that today. It was high-quality. -- not

:15:47. > :15:47.see many. 14 inch drop, this putt. Doesn't sound a lot, but it's quite

:15:48. > :16:02.quick for Danny. Just caressed it, double breaker and

:16:03. > :16:08.in it goes. Beautiful putt, wonderfully red by Danny Willett.

:16:09. > :16:14.Judged it superbly. -- wonderfully read.

:16:15. > :16:21.A bit of movement in this. We can see where Peter Hanson is aiming,

:16:22. > :16:29.the pin so close to the water today. Wonderful putt by the Swede. Peter

:16:30. > :16:33.Hanson, his second birdie of the day, no dropped shots and he sat

:16:34. > :16:40.7-under. He will fancy attacking the flag on the eighth hole. This to get

:16:41. > :16:44.within one after that wonderful shot out of the bunker. YE Yang, very

:16:45. > :17:03.slow up the hill. Forward momentum for the Masters

:17:04. > :17:06.champion, Danny Willett. At one point on Friday he let this

:17:07. > :17:11.Championship by five shots. He's been pegged back but now has his

:17:12. > :17:20.nose in front by a single shot once again. Martin Kaymer's ball, don't

:17:21. > :17:25.know how close to the lip it is. And he's clipped the top of it. A little

:17:26. > :17:36.greedy, must have been right up against it. His second to the 11th.

:17:37. > :17:42.Scott Hend's second shot, this is an awkward one. If you can get it on

:17:43. > :17:53.the green it will have been a mighty good shot.

:17:54. > :18:00.And he has, will it go through the back? It scuttles through. Might not

:18:01. > :18:09.be all that bad. Tricky to get down in two.

:18:10. > :18:22.So many deliberations over this shot for Danny Willett. Just a wedge, one

:18:23. > :18:28.to 5-130. -- 125-130. Has to come back down the slope with the spin.

:18:29. > :18:41.Try to get it beyond the flag. Very nicely played.

:18:42. > :18:51.A bit more off the right and it has been. Kaymer, that's a catalogue of

:18:52. > :18:56.errors at the 11th. His round had been so impressive as well. A real

:18:57. > :19:02.shame. But one perhaps of his own making.

:19:03. > :19:09.Danny Willett on the seventh, a bit of trouble for his playing partner

:19:10. > :19:13.Scott Hend, who fluffed his chip from the back. He has something left

:19:14. > :19:23.for his par. Danny Willett for birdie now.

:19:24. > :19:36.He has given it a race. Not far from going all the way down the front.

:19:37. > :19:43.Now, Chris would. He came out of the bunker to hear for his closing

:19:44. > :19:49.birdie. -- Chris Wood. Sad way to end. Had great chance of birdie on

:19:50. > :19:55.17, good chance on 18 as well. Could have been a miraculous finish with

:19:56. > :20:04.birdies at 14 and 15. 68 for Chris Wood. In the group on 6-under par,

:20:05. > :20:14.could have been better. The result of that little chip from Scott Hend.

:20:15. > :20:30.That's gone on as well. At least one shot will go for the Australian.

:20:31. > :20:38.Testing putt for Willett. This is for par.

:20:39. > :20:58.Scott Hend to drop just one on the seventh, which he manages, but he's

:20:59. > :21:06.down in that group on 9-under alongside Van Zyl and Yang. Two

:21:07. > :21:11.behind Danny Willett. Slipping away from Danny Willett a little bit.

:21:12. > :21:18.Jaco Van Zyl with a double bogey at eight is back to 7-under. Chris Wood

:21:19. > :21:24.with a 68, leaving him 6-under par and having a chat with Hazel Irvine.

:21:25. > :21:29.A five, five finish of that round of 68. I sense a bit of frustration

:21:30. > :21:35.with that finish. Yeah, I played lovely today and didn't birdie a

:21:36. > :21:42.single par-5. The par fives here are very scorer bull. A 5-iron into 18,

:21:43. > :21:46.couldn't have hit a better shot, but maybe a yard for the left and its

:21:47. > :21:54.five feet away. Frustrating when you feel you leave a few out there.

:21:55. > :22:03.Kaymer for birdie at 12, and he gets it. Thank goodness for that. Dropped

:22:04. > :22:14.two strokes at the last hole. Back to 7-under. Thomas Aiken at 14.

:22:15. > :22:29.Chance for the South African to 6-under. Big group at 6-under.

:22:30. > :22:38.Yang taking the aerial route at nine. A lot of trees have been

:22:39. > :22:42.cleared out close to the ninth green. Some silver birch trees. No

:22:43. > :22:44.concern for Yang as he watches his ball keep on rolling. That will be

:22:45. > :22:56.for par. Hatton at 18. He's had a superb

:22:57. > :23:04.round. A big swinging birdie putt. Just ran out of steam. The par fives

:23:05. > :23:10.finish, a good round of golf from Tyrell Hatton. He will be out late

:23:11. > :23:14.tomorrow. Good round of 66. One dropped shot. Yang at the 9th for

:23:15. > :23:25.par. No. After a good tee shot, we

:23:26. > :23:34.missing the green wildly to the left.

:23:35. > :23:43.Another shot dropped, just a couple of shots, nine holes played. Should

:23:44. > :23:47.have done better. This is what you call an up and under. Has to flick

:23:48. > :23:54.it up quickly, or picked up the bank beyond the pin and let it run back.

:23:55. > :23:58.That is delightful. It's so tricky, tiptoeing on to the fringe and just

:23:59. > :24:03.killed it. Impossible to leave it short without going into the bunker.

:24:04. > :24:13.Can Van Zyl finish it off and save his par at the 9th? No. It was never

:24:14. > :24:14.running at the hole, was it? Very scrappy.

:24:15. > :24:28.Danny Willett with his second to the ninth. Flattish green.

:24:29. > :24:39.Straightforward shot. I find it hard to believe these

:24:40. > :24:54.talented players, with a short iron, and that really is very poor.

:24:55. > :25:13.From the right of the tents. Yang for his second. -- of the 10th.

:25:14. > :25:18.That's left for a par-3. Danny Willett, his third shot into the

:25:19. > :25:28.ninth. The leaders are struggling. This isn't easy. Shouldn't have been

:25:29. > :25:33.here. Sounded fluffy. That's the price you pay for a poor second. But

:25:34. > :25:45.you are not alone, Daniel. Yang is hanging in there, but only

:25:46. > :25:49.just. The pace was right but across the face of the hole. Bogeys at nine

:25:50. > :26:05.and ten, he drops to 7-under. Was at 10-under. The first Asian

:26:06. > :26:15.player to win a major Championship, the PGA in 2009.

:26:16. > :26:27.Scott Hend and Willett, the last pair out on the ninth. Fourth shot

:26:28. > :26:32.for Danny Willett. No. Well, from a beautiful drive into the perfect

:26:33. > :26:40.spot. That's not dead yet, it's three or four feet away.

:26:41. > :26:49.This is how it looks at the minute, Danny Willett with his first dropped

:26:50. > :26:55.stroke of the day at nine, he is 10-under. Scott

:26:56. > :27:04.Tyrell Hatton is with Hazel. What a back nine for you today. Very happy

:27:05. > :27:09.with that. It's my first round in the 60s. Very pleased. How special

:27:10. > :27:14.is it to produce a performance like that at a place I know has really

:27:15. > :27:18.inspired you as a player. Why do you love this place so much? I have been

:27:19. > :27:24.walking around this place since a five-year-old. I was in awe of the

:27:25. > :27:28.guys inside the ropes. Now I'm playing my third BMW PGA, and it's

:27:29. > :27:38.great, I love this event. Come and take two second to the 10th, and

:27:39. > :27:40.it's awkward. -- COMMENTATOR: Second to the 10th, and it's awkward. How

:27:41. > :28:05.will it bounce? Westwood, nearing the end of his

:28:06. > :28:10.round. Well done, 6-under. Another birdie at the last, 7-under.

:28:11. > :28:33.Good-looking got it? Oh! Thought it might just

:28:34. > :28:44.run out. Drops to 9-under. He joins Scott Hend as joint leaders.

:28:45. > :28:53.A puff of wind behind doesn't help Yang to land it softly on this

:28:54. > :28:58.screen. -- on this green. Trying to get it to come down softly, and he

:28:59. > :29:03.has. Couldn't have pitched that into a better spot to kill it. He will

:29:04. > :29:09.have an eagle chance to get back into it. Standing a little bit below

:29:10. > :29:13.the ball, Scott Hend. It might move a little bit to the left in the EF.

:29:14. > :29:30.Very good now. -- in the air. Wonderful shot from Scott Hend. Jaco

:29:31. > :29:34.Van Zyl with a yawning bunker just short of the flag. He saw his

:29:35. > :29:48.playing partner hit a very good shot into here, YE Yang. Elegant swing, a

:29:49. > :29:54.cry of, the good! -- be good. Landing softly. Just hanging on. On

:29:55. > :30:00.the very edge of the fringe of the green. It will break hard to his

:30:01. > :30:09.right. The clubface is open, just stab it forward. Too difficult. It

:30:10. > :30:11.better sit down, it could go and go. Stay on the tier, just about manages

:30:12. > :30:22.to. Danny Willett and Scott Hend tied at

:30:23. > :30:28.9-under par. Tyrell Hatton right into things with his 66. Kaymer

:30:29. > :30:34.hanging in. YE Yang has a chance to get into things.

:30:35. > :30:45.The train arrives just at the wrong time. That is slipping away from

:30:46. > :30:49.him. Bogey on the ninth, bogey on the 10th, bogey on the 11th. It can

:30:50. > :30:53.easily happen around here, but Danny Willett back to 8-under par, one

:30:54. > :31:03.behind his playing partner, this man. Hend with a chance to finally

:31:04. > :31:07.extend his lead. Hend has a two shot lead.

:31:08. > :31:18.The 12th, and Jaco van Zyl for an eagle. It would take him to 8-under,

:31:19. > :31:25.within a couple. Up the slope. Oh! Not quite. He makes his birdie

:31:26. > :31:27.there. 7-under par. It's been an up and down day, but hanging right in

:31:28. > :31:53.there. So, YE Yang. Lori 's second shot

:31:54. > :31:58.into the 12th, this for a three. A chance to get in 9-under. --

:31:59. > :32:05.glorious second shot. Not convincing, but it is a two putt

:32:06. > :32:19.birdie, gratefully received and it takes him to 9-under. Alongside

:32:20. > :32:25.Hatton and will -- Danny Willett. Suddenly things are comfortable.

:32:26. > :32:30.And. Tyrrell Hatton with a marvellous 66 which has catapulted

:32:31. > :32:36.him up the board alongside YE Yang and Willett. They are getting in

:32:37. > :32:44.contention as well ahead of the final day. Lee Westwood, one to

:32:45. > :32:54.play. The 18th, Lee Westwood's second, to the par-5. Water left,

:32:55. > :32:57.bunkers right. Narrow putting surface. Pretty good but he's left

:32:58. > :33:07.himself a little tricky one across the edge of the bunker, but on dry.

:33:08. > :33:14.-- but on dry land. Danny Willett, a 3-wood off the tee but he gave it a

:33:15. > :33:21.good nudge and he has left himself a four iron. You can just see the pin

:33:22. > :33:31.just above the shaft of his club, there. Left-hand side of the green.

:33:32. > :33:43.Popped up on him and down into the front right bunker.

:33:44. > :33:49.A massive drive just leaves Scott Hend a mid iron. But the wind just

:33:50. > :34:05.becoming problematical. Oh! OK. Had a soft bounce. That is

:34:06. > :34:10.out of bounds, it's OK. He doesn't know it but it is.

:34:11. > :34:23.Lovely car for a hole-in-one. Going right! Right! Dark, everyone! My

:34:24. > :34:33.goodness. I hope that wasn't on someone's head. Catch! It is still

:34:34. > :34:37.bouncing! Well, here we go! Someone is going to stop it... The marshals

:34:38. > :34:47.after it. Westwood, little pitch to here and

:34:48. > :34:57.in it goes. Lee Westwood finishes birdie, birdie. So often can be done

:34:58. > :35:06.here at Wentworth, 68, not a blemish on the card, 7-under par and right

:35:07. > :35:14.in there. So, Hend the leader. Two clear at the moment. A birdie putt

:35:15. > :35:29.but down in two will do. Judged that very nicely. Can YE Yang make his

:35:30. > :35:34.par? What a great four, having found trouble off the tee. He stays at

:35:35. > :35:44.8-under. Fabulous finish to this course, with the five is offering

:35:45. > :35:49.something. After a bit of help from his caddy, Smarty, looks to be

:35:50. > :35:54.aiming on the left edge. The line of his ball pointing in that direction.

:35:55. > :36:09.It certainly does turn a bit to the right. No. Pushed it, or didn't

:36:10. > :36:24.allow enough. Well, a par. A good tee shot.

:36:25. > :36:42.He likes this little rescue, Mr Yang. My goodness me. Good luck with

:36:43. > :36:48.that one! He has a good line, looks to have a backswing, but trying to

:36:49. > :36:58.avoid that left-hand fairway bunker. Pop it out into position. I mean,

:36:59. > :37:12.that was square on middle stump. The sound it made there. The leader is

:37:13. > :37:23.in bother, Peter. Well, when you hit a tree three in front of you, it

:37:24. > :37:31.seems a bit silly. You should be in the ditch... No, you're all right.

:37:32. > :37:35.Danny Willett, shot off the back of the bunker. It has done all right

:37:36. > :37:48.for him and a good line to come into this 13th. Good strike... Someone

:37:49. > :37:54.like it, but I'm not sure Danny did. That is fine. Good for distance. A

:37:55. > :38:02.lot of change happening here on the 13th. Yang from the back of the

:38:03. > :38:12.14th. You talk about delicate shots. This could be very good. Well, you

:38:13. > :38:20.couldn't do it much better than that without going in the hole. That was

:38:21. > :38:29.a classic little dab. He leads by two, but he has played three already

:38:30. > :38:39.here. Scott Hend, 112 to the flag. Can he salvage the situation? He

:38:40. > :38:47.certainly can. Damage limitation of the highest order from Scott Hend.

:38:48. > :38:58.Playing hard to get, this is. She's not at all interested in the golf,

:38:59. > :39:07.or him! Willett for a birdie at the 13th. A little bit of swing on this.

:39:08. > :39:28.Struck it well. Just fell away at the end. Stop the rot.

:39:29. > :39:35.This putt of Hend's, for a very adventurous five. What a journey

:39:36. > :39:53.with only a drop shot. Well, Hend still leads but only by

:39:54. > :39:57.one now after salvaging that birdie on the 13th. Tyrrell Hatton is

:39:58. > :40:02.looking better and better. Lee Westwood, birdies to finish on the

:40:03. > :40:07.17th and 18th for his 68. 7-under par and talking to Hazel. A 23rd

:40:08. > :40:10.straight appearance in this Championship. I know you're very

:40:11. > :40:16.proud of that. What does that do for your chances tomorrow at the bogey

:40:17. > :40:21.free 68? Well, it gives me a better chance than I had. I was pleased I

:40:22. > :40:28.did not make any bogeys, making mistakes. I didn't really hole a

:40:29. > :40:30.putt over four feet, so to shoot 68 shows the quality of my tee to

:40:31. > :40:40.green. You see what is on offer for a

:40:41. > :40:43.hole-in-one. He could actually do it today. This is the last group that

:40:44. > :40:48.could do it today with this pin position. If it feeds down and get

:40:49. > :40:53.just -- gets just the right distance. You don't want to be too

:40:54. > :41:00.far beyond the hole, though. Go back, go back, go back. So close to

:41:01. > :41:07.being all the way back down there. That is fast, fast, fast on that

:41:08. > :41:20.slope. Well, they will be wondering why there is little applause as Hend

:41:21. > :41:28.tees up. Hend's tee shot on the way. Willett towards the back of the

:41:29. > :41:35.green. Hend will drift away but on the same level... Not too bad. That

:41:36. > :41:37.was a cracking tee shot from YE Yang down the 15th again with a little

:41:38. > :41:53.rescue club. And that is just a necky, squirt E,

:41:54. > :42:06.nasty, unpleasantness, horrible, awful by by -- goodbye. Hend has to

:42:07. > :42:10.get the speed right. The wider you go, the slower you have to go. Just

:42:11. > :42:33.fell away at the death. Not bad. YE Yang, after that second shot at

:42:34. > :42:39.the 15th. Just looking to get it to roll out down the slope. Looks like

:42:40. > :42:45.he's going to slip away from that group at 8-under. A lot of players

:42:46. > :42:50.coming back into contention. Willett's putt here is a tricky one.

:42:51. > :42:56.Way out to the left and quite a lot of change in elevation from the high

:42:57. > :43:03.ground to the top of the ridge. It should turn, gathering speed. Not

:43:04. > :43:11.bad, four feet by. You can't really have a stab at it and end up going

:43:12. > :43:21.way past. YE Yang to save par at the 15th. They really are struggling at

:43:22. > :43:30.the moment, the leaders. So, he will slip back to 7-under. Hend and

:43:31. > :43:37.Willett 3-over for the round. They are all having their troubles. Qaim

:43:38. > :43:41.to finish out. In for a birdie. It is a good round but it could have

:43:42. > :43:53.been so much better. That double on the 11th. Still, 6-under and right

:43:54. > :44:02.in there. Hend for a bogey now. This is his herd putt. Rattled in a great

:44:03. > :44:11.pace. We knew it was a tricky stroke, cost him a shot. Now,

:44:12. > :44:21.Willett with one of those. Well done.

:44:22. > :44:41.A good four, four and a bit feet. A bit of pace at the right edge and in

:44:42. > :44:48.she goes. Drops back to minus six. In very Scott Hend like fashion,

:44:49. > :44:55.Scott Hend has crushed his tee shot down here. Just a short iron in.

:44:56. > :45:08.Just slipping away over the last few holes. That is a very loose shot

:45:09. > :45:15.with that club in his hand. Well, it doesn't look more than a 7-iron.

:45:16. > :45:21.Square club, must be more than a seven, I think. To miss the Law as

:45:22. > :45:27.badly as that, it is not that all good really. Hend for a four coming

:45:28. > :45:44.up the hill. Quite a slow putt. Another shot dropped, after a

:45:45. > :45:49.beautiful tee shot. Now, Willett at the 15th, left-to-right. Depending

:45:50. > :45:57.on the speed, this must have at least two feet of borrow. If he hits

:45:58. > :46:09.it too hard, it will go whizzing by. No, not high enough. Not quite high

:46:10. > :46:18.enough, never high enough. Do you think he talks in his sleep as well?

:46:19. > :46:26.Jaco van Zyl at the 16th for a birdie, after that excellent result.

:46:27. > :46:34.Oh! Well, he never looked comfortable with that. You can't

:46:35. > :46:48.afford to drop shots like that after a fine result. Danny Willett's third

:46:49. > :46:52.to the 16th. If he gets it right it is like going down the plug hole of

:46:53. > :47:00.a sink, but you've got to get it into the sink first. -- to the sink.

:47:01. > :47:19.It will go past, has he got any spin on it? No! That's not fair! The

:47:20. > :47:25.18th. Two under. Big drive. Not much of a target, though, Kent, is it,

:47:26. > :47:30.this 18th? Looks tiny from there. That's a cracking shot, could go in!

:47:31. > :47:42.Look where he is aiming this, Peter. Eight feet to the right. I hope he's

:47:43. > :47:54.got the line. Well, a very, very good effort indeed. That was a

:47:55. > :48:11.splendid go. At the 18th, this four a three. Very much in the picture.

:48:12. > :48:30.Another stroke going. In that group at 7-under par, Tyrrell Hatton, who

:48:31. > :48:35.was out early, now outright leader. STUDIO

:48:36. > :48:39.What a curious old day. The three leaders have all gone backwards and

:48:40. > :48:43.instead it is the young man from Marlow, not 30 minutes from this

:48:44. > :48:47.beautiful venue, Tyrrell Hatton, who holds the outright lead after that

:48:48. > :48:54.wonderful round of 66 today. One shot ahead of Westwood, Yang,

:48:55. > :48:58.Willett and Hend. COMMENTATOR: There is our camera

:48:59. > :49:05.behind the green, right beneath the umbrella tree. Leaves a straight

:49:06. > :49:12.shot. Not a lot of room to get in and anything left leaves a horrible

:49:13. > :49:16.pitch to the flag. Hello! I don't know what happened there, that could

:49:17. > :49:37.be in the ladies locker room! Yang with the longer of the tee

:49:38. > :49:52.shots, but he has still got the longest shot. Miles Wright, be

:49:53. > :49:55.lucky. My goodness. A big swing, will it be one of those Mickelson

:49:56. > :50:23.specials? Maybe. Now, Mr Yang. He's going to float

:50:24. > :50:40.this up and land it as softly as he can. Virtually impossible to get

:50:41. > :50:46.that by the hole. This would be a get out of jail free card. Pushed

:50:47. > :51:01.it. Most people have missed on the right. Oh dear. After such a

:51:02. > :51:07.promising start, 1-under after eight holes, he is 4-over par for his

:51:08. > :51:17.round. Let's see if Yang can bring some brightness to proceedings.

:51:18. > :51:24.Birdie putt on the last, to much. -- too much. Only one player was

:51:25. > :51:29.struggling in the last few groups out today, Martin Kaymer, who had

:51:30. > :51:38.his own problems. Now YE Yang is in with a 75. A lot of 75th out there

:51:39. > :51:41.in the final few groups. Perhaps that is about par. What do you think

:51:42. > :51:49.he is hitting from here, Ken? A five? A five or a six, not a very

:51:50. > :51:52.long shaft, is it? He's got the length of the green to come up, as

:51:53. > :51:57.long as it is straight it will be OK. I only just, but that could be

:51:58. > :52:01.all right. More than all right! A bit of good fortune, good result.

:52:02. > :52:12.Great result. Lucky. He can't afford any mistakes here.

:52:13. > :52:17.We can't see the ball, nestling down. He's got a lofted club, going

:52:18. > :52:20.to hit it hard over the water and stop it before the bunker at the

:52:21. > :52:30.back of the green. This is no pushover. He thumped it. Stop, stop,

:52:31. > :52:42.he cries. That sailed over everything. It has been a struggle.

:52:43. > :52:57.APPLAUSE How's that for a scene? How is that

:52:58. > :53:00.for a scene? Hospitality full. The Masters champion being welcomed by

:53:01. > :53:11.his hometown crowd. Wonderful setting.

:53:12. > :53:21.Oh! Played it beautifully. That was a dab hand, just caught the edge

:53:22. > :53:27.which killed it. Just a very good result, absolutely splendid. This is

:53:28. > :53:34.the outright lead, this to get to 9-under. Well done. Terrific second

:53:35. > :53:50.shot, brave tee shot and a lovely iron. His aggression pays off. Round

:53:51. > :53:55.in 73. He leads by one. Although it's a short putt, this is missable

:53:56. > :54:00.if you don't just get the line right or the speed, you can spin out. Just

:54:01. > :54:07.inside the left lip really with a bit of speed. Not too much. Well

:54:08. > :54:15.done. A struggle, but it's over. We live to fight another day.

:54:16. > :54:23.They call Saturday moving day, but it has been moving backwards day for

:54:24. > :54:28.the co-leaders. In fact the co-leaders overnight, Scott Hend

:54:29. > :54:32.still in position but one shot worse than before. Thank goodness from his

:54:33. > :54:36.perspective for that eagle at the last. Danny Willett one of the

:54:37. > :54:42.stories of the day, having been in that overnight lead he shot a 4-over

:54:43. > :54:45.par and he will start in a tie for fourth place the. We had everything

:54:46. > :54:48.under control nicely and then a couple of loose shots, a couple of

:54:49. > :54:53.bad decisions, a couple of missed putts and it quickly slipped away.

:54:54. > :54:57.The same thing as three relatively simple par fives and we played them

:54:58. > :55:04.badly on the back nine, as we have done all week. Yeah, it's

:55:05. > :55:07.disappointing to be there or thereabouts and then to kind of

:55:08. > :55:12.played poorly on the back nine like we did yesterday. Off to the range

:55:13. > :55:16.and see if we can get something going for tomorrow. Scott command

:55:17. > :55:20.that 13th tee had a two shot lead and then the wheels began to come

:55:21. > :55:26.off. That eagle at the last, how much of a rescue act was that for

:55:27. > :55:33.you today? Well, it's nice. 3-under par coming down the last, make a

:55:34. > :55:38.four and it's nice. I wasn't aware of the lead because I didn't look at

:55:39. > :55:42.any leaderboards. I know you have won tournaments all over the world,

:55:43. > :55:48.seven different countries, two on the European Tour in total, but how

:55:49. > :55:53.big is this Championship and how big would it be if it were to happen?

:55:54. > :55:57.Obviously it is a big one but I put it in perspective and treat it like

:55:58. > :56:00.just another tournament. If things happen afterwards, you can think

:56:01. > :56:05.about it retrospectively, but right now it's another golf tournament and

:56:06. > :56:09.I'm just trying to do what I did for a living. Well, that was a moving

:56:10. > :56:13.day with a difference, wasn't it? The leaders moving backwards the

:56:14. > :56:17.field and in Danny Willett's case, right back into the chasing pack.

:56:18. > :56:21.He's been overtaken by fallowing Lishman Lee Westwood, and Tyrrell

:56:22. > :56:25.Hatton. Will have an Englishman in the final pairing on Sunday, but

:56:26. > :56:28.perhaps not the one we had been expecting. On the line today for

:56:29. > :56:33.Tyrrell Hatton and leader Scott Hend and so many others in the chasing

:56:34. > :56:34.pack, one of the richest and most prestigious titles on the European

:56:35. > :56:43.Tour. For three days, Wentworth has been

:56:44. > :56:48.dressed in all its latest spring finery. A chance for players to show

:56:49. > :56:53.off their very best. For much of the tournament, the master himself has

:56:54. > :56:58.been on top. Yet Danny Willett has not been without his problems. On

:56:59. > :57:01.Saturday straying from the beaten path, moving day dropping him down

:57:02. > :57:07.to the chasing pack on 6-under. Going forward was Lee Westwood.

:57:08. > :57:13.While most others were faltering, he, who has come so close to victory

:57:14. > :57:17.here on the past, managed a 4-under par 68. All part of a very strong

:57:18. > :57:21.English challenge. One shot further back was Chris Wood, who also

:57:22. > :57:26.managed a 68. Best placed of all on the home front was the man from just

:57:27. > :57:31.down the road. Surrey's Tyrrell Hatton found the lowest round of the

:57:32. > :57:38.day, a 66, which very nearly found in the lead on his own. But for

:57:39. > :57:41.Australia's Scott Hend. He too had his disagreements with the West

:57:42. > :57:45.Course but once again his power brought him a closing eagle to sit

:57:46. > :57:49.9-under and one shot clear was that the field is lining up behind them,

:57:50. > :57:53.so many now with the chance to claim the title on Sunday at Wentworth.

:57:54. > :57:58.STUDIO Yes, a Saturday moving day with a

:57:59. > :58:04.difference, one in which the leaders were brought back to the field and

:58:05. > :58:08.in Danny Willett's case, back into the chasing pack. But Scott Hend

:58:09. > :58:12.remains at the top and he will be joined in the final pairing by local

:58:13. > :58:17.favourite Tyrrell Hatton. Lee Westwood has also climbed right into

:58:18. > :58:21.the reckoning at at 6-under there is Bristol plus Chris Wood and two

:58:22. > :58:25.major winners, Martin Kaymer Germany, who has really found some

:58:26. > :58:30.game of late, and Danny Willett, who is an settled 76 yesterday saw him

:58:31. > :58:35.scurrying to the range to try and regain some of the four-man

:58:36. > :58:40.composure he showed so beautifully at Augusta two weeks ago. The

:58:41. > :58:44.possibilities are many. Ken Brown shared it all without yesterday. A

:58:45. > :58:48.disconcerting day for the leaders. I wonder what is your view on why

:58:49. > :58:51.Danny Willett in particular seemed so unsettled out there? I don't know

:58:52. > :58:55.if it was particularly Danny Willett but the back nine holes yesterday

:58:56. > :58:59.had some tough pin positions and the greens were getting drier and

:59:00. > :59:04.speedier. He hit a view hooks and lost his timing, lost his way.

:59:05. > :59:08.Everyone struggled a bit on the back nine, especially the leaders. Scott

:59:09. > :59:13.Hend still has the 1-shot lead. What is your view on young Tyrrell

:59:14. > :59:18.Hatton? It's almost like a dream come true because he used to come

:59:19. > :59:21.here has a five-year-old, 60 old, seven-year-old and watch the Gulf

:59:22. > :59:25.and suddenly he has a chance of winning the title, which would be an

:59:26. > :59:28.amazing performance, a big day. Fortunately there is not too much

:59:29. > :59:33.breeze about. I think the greens will be a bit softer, a bit easier.

:59:34. > :59:39.To win the PGA title is a dream country for anyone. Touch a big

:59:40. > :59:42.first prize, ?640,000. For the likes of Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer,

:59:43. > :59:46.the Ryder Cup could be beckoning with a win here. This week there is

:59:47. > :59:50.such a lot at vague but certainly Ryder Cup points. Any of these

:59:51. > :59:55.players back and finish in the top two would give themselves a huge

:59:56. > :59:59.boost. Other things at stake, you can get a five-year exemption on the

:00:00. > :00:04.Tour. It's a big day to win here and whoever does it will be a deserved

:00:05. > :00:09.winner. Let's check out the early movers on this Sunday. Chertsey's

:00:10. > :00:13.own James Morrison does not have too far to drive home, only about five

:00:14. > :00:20.miles, and he could be doing so in a brand-new motor! He earned one here

:00:21. > :00:24.at the 14th hole. The two-time winner celebrating with Andy

:00:25. > :00:29.Sullivan here. That has already been another ace today come from this

:00:30. > :00:34.man, Rikard Karlberg from Gothenburg. Here he is at the 10th.

:00:35. > :00:37.This is absolutely inspired from B-29 yelled, who has since picked up

:00:38. > :00:45.birdies at three, four, seven and eight. This tee shot, Karl Burke now

:00:46. > :00:51.just two shots off the lead. To England's Chris Wood, who began the

:00:52. > :00:54.day at 6-under. A positive start for the rangy two-time European Tour

:00:55. > :00:57.winner from Bristol. A tap in for the first birdie of the day and what

:00:58. > :01:04.a beautiful shot on the opening hole that was.

:01:05. > :01:11.Frenchman Julien Quesne was also on the move. Forward momentum from many

:01:12. > :01:18.already. But Rikard Karlberg has had most of that. His second to 12 was

:01:19. > :01:23.good enough for last year's Italian Open winner to take another birdie.

:01:24. > :01:27.Astonishingly, 8-under for the Championship, 7-under for his round.

:01:28. > :01:33.One of the top of the leaderboard. The move of the week coming from the

:01:34. > :01:37.Swede. Confirmation of cargo's blistering surge up the rankings,

:01:38. > :01:42.tied with Tyrell Hatton, and in Scott Hend's rear-view mirror.

:01:43. > :01:49.English men Chris Wood and Lee Westwood were in striking distance

:01:50. > :01:54.as well. Masters champion Danny Willett double bogeyed at the 3rd to

:01:55. > :02:05.drop back to 4-under. Fascinating promise in the final round.

:02:06. > :02:12.COMMENTATOR: Oh, dear. Scott Hend, what's he doing at the 1st hole?

:02:13. > :02:16.Standing way above the ball, but perhaps a trifle greedy, back into

:02:17. > :02:30.the sand again. It's a tough enough hole without all these problems.

:02:31. > :02:45.The mistake. Might have been too greedy. -- big mistake. Didn't need

:02:46. > :02:51.any more than 20 yards. Westwood after the bogey at the 1st. Playing

:02:52. > :02:57.partner Yang is back left of the green.

:02:58. > :03:09.Just a 9-iron, perhaps a strong wedge. That's good enough. He will

:03:10. > :03:10.have a lot of support here today, Lee Westwood. A title he desperately

:03:11. > :03:24.wants to win. Just a little tap in for Karlberg,

:03:25. > :03:29.he's 8-under par. If he gets to 11, you never know. But then doubts and

:03:30. > :03:45.fears can creep in. Come on... No. Dropped a shot at the

:03:46. > :04:03.1st. Pars the second. Our leader is playing four, he has

:04:04. > :04:26.called for a ruling, I know not why. Crisp shot. Unlucky. Could well open

:04:27. > :04:36.up with a six. Happy days have not arrived yet. Rikard Karlberg, the

:04:37. > :04:44.car behind him has already been won today by James Morrison with a

:04:45. > :04:49.hole-in-one. I think we heard some Swedish for, "I do not care for that

:04:50. > :04:53.shot". That's a horrible place to be. His pleasant run might be coming

:04:54. > :05:09.to an end. The trials and tribulations of Hend

:05:10. > :05:12.at the 1st. This is for a 1-over par-5. He put down a six. Can we go

:05:13. > :05:38.back ten minutes? Hatton for par at the 1st. Well

:05:39. > :05:41.done. Just you keep plodding on and getting pars, a couple of birdies

:05:42. > :05:48.will stop he will have a happy day. Danny Willett at the 4th.

:05:49. > :06:01.CHEERING It's a silly old game! Worth a smile

:06:02. > :06:13.and a giggle. Six at the last, nine for the two Matt -- two holes. He's

:06:14. > :06:24.the Masters champion, that spar for those two. And a three for Karlberg,

:06:25. > :06:29.that could bring much gold. Martin Kaymer, this strange putt, a big

:06:30. > :06:35.swing on it at the beginning. A 4th hole, this for an eagle three. He's

:06:36. > :06:42.hit that way out but he will miss on the left. No, he's up! It did the

:06:43. > :06:44.shimmy shake, and in it went for eagle to put him right at the top of

:06:45. > :06:52.the leaderboard. Scott Hend, after a six on the

:06:53. > :07:16.first, this is for two. Started with a 1-shot lead. One shot

:07:17. > :07:20.behind now. The challenge coming from the big names now more and more

:07:21. > :07:26.with Martin Kaymer up to 8-under with an eagle on the fourth. He

:07:27. > :07:33.joins Karlberg and Hatton. Chris Wood in the group on 7-under.

:07:34. > :07:37.The tall figure of Chris Wood, setting himself beautifully with the

:07:38. > :07:50.ball. Six foot five. A chance to get up with the leaders

:07:51. > :07:55.if it finds the heart of the green, which it does. That's even leap

:07:56. > :08:02.beyond them. It comes round and round, perhaps moving him to

:08:03. > :08:06.9-under. Now, Karlberg, tied with Kaymer and Hatton. He's got an

:08:07. > :08:12.amazing round going. A pan down to save par here. Easy, easy, no. -- up

:08:13. > :08:24.and down to save par here. Julien Quesne has gone for the full

:08:25. > :08:32.all-white today. Bleeding one out there. The wind is picking up and

:08:33. > :08:37.the flag is coming to life. He has made a good start. Karlberg, if he's

:08:38. > :08:40.going to have a chance of winning, this has got to go in. How about

:08:41. > :08:54.that? Chris Wood for eagle. A big swing

:08:55. > :09:03.left-to-right. Out she goes, round she goes. Yes! Well done.

:09:04. > :09:30.doth thicken. Our leader. Yang is well back. Pitch it short and let it

:09:31. > :09:36.run in. It could be good. A bit will more fire in that and it could have

:09:37. > :09:44.ended up right by the pin. -- a bit more fire. Lots of yellow on the

:09:45. > :09:49.leaderboard today, plenty of eagles. Chris Wood had one at the last to

:09:50. > :09:55.take him to the lead. On the fifth, the pin just over the front left

:09:56. > :10:03.bunker. Just about there. Chris Wood is on fire. Birdie at the 1st, eagle

:10:04. > :10:08.on the fourth, nearly a tap in at five.

:10:09. > :10:20.Westwood had a long look at this. Down the hill, big swing.

:10:21. > :10:29.You wouldn't believe it, would you? Still hasn't borrowed enough. The

:10:30. > :10:31.pace is wonderful. Hello! That's worth at least a Silver Medal. It

:10:32. > :10:43.was brilliant. The chance of two for Chris Wood. He

:10:44. > :10:53.bangs it in. Just the fourth birdie at the 5th hole. Moving to 10-under.

:10:54. > :11:10.Also birdied the fourth, going nicely, leading by two.

:11:11. > :11:19.Why in, similar putt to the one Kaymer had, similar to his playing

:11:20. > :11:29.partner of Westwood. -- YE Yang, similar pot. What a putt.

:11:30. > :11:33.Extraordinary. -- similar putt. Just one behind the leader Chris Wood.

:11:34. > :11:35.This is the kind of scoring we didn't see yesterday afternoon.

:11:36. > :11:42.Wonderful scoring this morning at Wentworth. Karlberg. Third to the

:11:43. > :12:03.short par four 16. 18th green. Andrew Johnston, the

:12:04. > :12:11.current Spanish open champion, winning it recently at Valderrama.

:12:12. > :12:29.The line was good and it has straightened! Where's the beef, the!

:12:30. > :12:32.-- where's the beef, Beef. What a way to finish.

:12:33. > :12:54.awkward little chip up the bank. Nestled down for Karlberg. You

:12:55. > :13:09.expect him to note that one in. -- nudge that one in. That's not too

:13:10. > :13:16.bad. Right-to-left and up the hill for Scott Hend to come for the

:13:17. > :13:20.birdie. Karlberg bogeyed the first and then went on an amazing run.

:13:21. > :13:26.8-under for the intervening holes but he has dropped another shot.

:13:27. > :13:31.Back to 7-under. But he could set a target. Scott Hend made a horrible

:13:32. > :13:36.start but he has steadied things since then. Not too difficult, the

:13:37. > :13:42.putt should have a bit of right-to-left, depends how firmly he

:13:43. > :13:44.hits it. Straight in for birdie. Hend back to 8-under after a double

:13:45. > :14:02.bogey start, 1-under since then. Looking down on Thomas Aiken. Chance

:14:03. > :14:07.for three on the sixth. Right in the middle for the South African. Couple

:14:08. > :14:18.of birdies surrounding a bogey at the 5th. He's alongside Westwood and

:14:19. > :14:33.Karlberg on 7-under. Julien Quesne going on nicely today.

:14:34. > :14:46.How about that, take it away! He will move to 9-under.

:14:47. > :14:53.Great approach from Thomas Aiken, and he makes the most of it. Lovely

:14:54. > :14:58.run there, three birdies in the last four holes. The South African mainly

:14:59. > :15:07.plays on the PGA Tour. Also at 8-under. Chris Wood, good tee shot

:15:08. > :15:18.at seven, down the left. The back right pin position. Right over the

:15:19. > :15:28.flag. Wonderful shot from Chris Wood, who is dialled in today.

:15:29. > :15:40.From off the green, Karlberg. What a run he's had today. Rikard Karlberg

:15:41. > :15:47.can rarely miss today. Bogey at 16 but back contract with a seventh

:15:48. > :15:55.birdie of the day at 17. As well as a hole-in-one at the 2nd. Chris Wood

:15:56. > :16:08.with a beautiful second shot. Left-to-right here. Chance to extend

:16:09. > :16:15.his lead. Yes, eagle, a couple of birdies, 11-under and two shots

:16:16. > :16:19.clear for the tall man. That confirms it, 5-under after his

:16:20. > :16:25.opening seven, in the lead by two at 11-under.

:16:26. > :16:30.Very tight with a lot of golf to be played and the back nine is always

:16:31. > :16:40.tricky. Scott Hend flipping underneath it.

:16:41. > :16:45.Very well done. If you miss on the short side, where the flag is cut

:16:46. > :16:53.these days, the green is so firm and fast it's tricky to get out. Finish

:16:54. > :16:59.it out. Started with a bogey and finishes with par, in between, all

:17:00. > :17:03.the colours of the rainbow. A hole-in-one at the 2nd, seven

:17:04. > :17:06.birdies, 65, joint lowest of the week for Rikard Karlberg. 8-under

:17:07. > :17:11.par, setting the target in the clubhouse. Scott Hend to save his

:17:12. > :17:22.par. It's a messy start to the round for

:17:23. > :17:29.Scott Hend. So much good scoring from other players that he is now

:17:30. > :17:36.2-over for his round, back to seven under.

:17:37. > :17:43.Not bad, doing well. Go on! Well done, I thought it bounced one too

:17:44. > :17:59.many times in the short stuff. I don't believe what's going on

:18:00. > :18:02.here. A ridiculous shot, he's going to hit over everything he can, 300

:18:03. > :18:10.yards to run out of the fairway. Where's it going? Hop, skip and jump

:18:11. > :18:11.and straight into the ditch. That's one of the most stupid shots you

:18:12. > :18:41.will ever see! LAUGHTER Martin Kaymer wasn't sure whether

:18:42. > :18:49.his ball was going out of bounds but it was fine. His second into nine.

:18:50. > :18:52.Over the ditch, hits the tree, stay there. Could have finished a lot

:18:53. > :19:11.worse. Tyrell Hatton at seven. Par putt.

:19:12. > :19:17.Yes... No! Just letting them drift away.

:19:18. > :19:25.Three birdies and an eagle for Chris Wood who leads by a couple at

:19:26. > :19:30.11-under. The man of the moment is the round 65 of Rikard Karlberg, it

:19:31. > :19:35.included a hole-in-one. Congratulations, a 65 with two

:19:36. > :19:40.bogeys and Anna ace on the card. One of the more eventful rounds of your

:19:41. > :19:44.career so far. I was a little tired after Ireland, and this is a tough

:19:45. > :19:49.course that takes a lot out of you. Starting with a bogey, I thought, oh

:19:50. > :19:54.well. But I hit a great shot that went in the hole and I got pumped

:19:55. > :19:59.after that. You ride that wave. Very happy with the round. Unfortunately

:20:00. > :20:07.in the end I had some tough numbers into the pin, between clubs, but I'm

:20:08. > :20:19.really happy about it. Scott Hend for bogey at seven.

:20:20. > :20:28.There's something of the John Daly in this fella, hugely talented, but

:20:29. > :20:31.just does stupid things. It was a bizarre choice of shot at 17.

:20:32. > :20:50.Throwing away handfuls of whatever. Needs a good putt now. This is for

:20:51. > :20:58.bogey at nine for Kaymer. Ugly six on his card at nine. Errant tee

:20:59. > :21:06.shot, got greedy. Out in level par 35. One eagle, one double bogey.

:21:07. > :21:08.Five behind now, 6-under. Good tee shot but quite a long way back for

:21:09. > :21:31.Chris Wood. Superb iron, sweetly struck. Working

:21:32. > :21:33.off the slope. High quality shot. He's had a few of those this

:21:34. > :21:46.morning. Looking anxious, it's got the pace

:21:47. > :21:50.on it. At last, a birdie on the card, the first red figure. 8-under,

:21:51. > :22:02.back to where he started. Thomas Aiken was just off the green

:22:03. > :22:05.on the other side and played a dreadful shot through the green.

:22:06. > :22:13.He's making a complete mess of this hole. Our Championship leader, Chris

:22:14. > :22:30.Wood at the 9th. This to go to 12-under. Easy PC. -- easy peasy.

:22:31. > :22:37.What is he playing off today? I don't know, but were losing. If

:22:38. > :22:48.Thomas Aiken is going to win this, I think he needs to hole this. Oh

:22:49. > :23:00.dear. Ugly and untimely double bogey, dropping back to 6-under. YE

:23:01. > :23:13.Yang for three at nine. That was always wide, just too wide. Four is

:23:14. > :23:20.always acceptable. Chris Wood's tee shot at ten. It sounded fluffy but

:23:21. > :23:23.he might get away with it because the greens are so fast. He has got

:23:24. > :23:52.away with it, that was a That was a chance, oh my word. He's

:23:53. > :23:55.going to have to do something very impressive on the back nine. It's

:23:56. > :24:07.just getting away from Westwood now. Chris Woods to save par, leading by

:24:08. > :24:12.three at the moment. The first blemish on the card for Chris Wood

:24:13. > :24:17.today. Out in 29, remarkable front nine. Danny Willett did that earlier

:24:18. > :24:21.in the week as well. But that will be shot. At least one, still not

:24:22. > :24:33.dead yet. It wasn't a dreadful tee shot at ten

:24:34. > :24:40.for Chris Wood, but just a slight misjudgement of distance. His first

:24:41. > :24:47.bogey of the day. His lead is down to two.

:24:48. > :24:58.I don't know what's happening, whether it's the lateness of the

:24:59. > :25:19.hour. That's a dreadful shot. Good look at the face for Tyrell

:25:20. > :25:30.Hatton, a bank to go over here. Hmm... Grappling for his par here.

:25:31. > :25:37.After all the early good scoring, they are just beginning to falter.

:25:38. > :25:39.Chris Wood dropping his first of the day, still two clear. Yang in bother

:25:40. > :25:58.at ten. Tyrell Hatton was in the sand on the

:25:59. > :26:04.ninth of the tee. Came out just short of the green, pitched to hear,

:26:05. > :26:11.and I thought he had that. Grumping and growling and sinking to the

:26:12. > :26:18.knees. Not much happening today, but Danny Willett, he sinks one. He is

:26:19. > :26:22.up finally. Double bogey at the 4th, eagle at the 5th and nothing since

:26:23. > :26:27.then until now. Four behind. Julien Quesne on the edge of the bunker.

:26:28. > :26:36.Awkward shot, hoping to find the green. Bit of a tangled lie.

:26:37. > :26:41.That was extraordinary. I don't know if it was up against a stone,

:26:42. > :26:54.Rupert, Bush, I don't know what happened there. -- stone,

:26:55. > :27:13.Chris Wood from the other side of the fairway. Come back, very good.

:27:14. > :27:17.What a shot. Bogey at ten, and he will bounce straight back here with

:27:18. > :27:18.a birdie. Chris Wood is looking better and better with every passing

:27:19. > :27:50.hole. YE Yang to save par at ten. This is a hit and a prayer. It might

:27:51. > :27:52.hit the flag. Well, would you... It was the only way he could get it

:27:53. > :28:09.close. Yang to drop just one at ten. In it goes, but Yang slips back to

:28:10. > :28:14.8-under, so Chris Wood is leading by three, it might be four in a moment.

:28:15. > :28:21.First dropped shot of the day for the South Korean. It's been an

:28:22. > :28:25.adventure for Julien Quesne at 11. Heather down the left, fluffing it

:28:26. > :28:34.into the bunker, pitched here, hit the flag. All the fun of the fair

:28:35. > :28:38.and this is to drop just one. Which he does, slipping back to seven, but

:28:39. > :28:47.not too damaging. Bearing in mind all that has gone before.

:28:48. > :28:52.Chris Wood, after bogey at ten, birdie at 11, and his lead is now

:28:53. > :29:11.four. Seven holes to play. Yang at 11. I was about to say...

:29:12. > :29:18.Core blimey. There are a few plays in with a shout if they can ever get

:29:19. > :29:23.their game together. -- a few players. A good look at the tee shot

:29:24. > :29:29.at 12 of Chris Wood. A couple of trees, try and find the gap,

:29:30. > :29:40.right-to-left, follow the contours on the tracer. Good luck, everyone.

:29:41. > :29:46.Too much. It dropped down and hit the tree and came up short of the

:29:47. > :29:52.ditch. I think he has been fortunate. Still not pleasant but

:29:53. > :29:58.could have been worse. We can see if Julien Quesne can find the right

:29:59. > :30:08.shape. A huge crowd, funnelling down. It leaks off to the left. A

:30:09. > :30:12.few are applauding generously. It will be OK down there. Not quite

:30:13. > :30:24.reaching the ditch. It's fine but just not pretty.

:30:25. > :30:26.a beautiful shot on the opening hole that was.

:30:27. > :30:31.Tyrrell Hatton has had his problems as well full of it is for a bogey on

:30:32. > :30:45.the 10th. He is, as they say, spending money

:30:46. > :30:50.on this final day. Chris Wood has got a bit of a truncated

:30:51. > :30:55.follow-through. He's just got to pitch it back. Could have been far

:30:56. > :31:08.worse off the tee. Just creeps onto the fairway. Still will be able to

:31:09. > :31:15.get home in three. Yang's third shot. Third at the 11th. I don't

:31:16. > :31:17.know what has got into this chap. He's either so terribly nervous...

:31:18. > :31:38.He's just lost his swing altogether. Third shot the Chris Wood. -- for

:31:39. > :31:45.Chris Wood. Down, down, down, that is the urgent call. There is a

:31:46. > :31:51.little table top in the middle of the green.

:31:52. > :32:04.Yang, his fourth shot at the 11th. It's all gone very messy. Big swing

:32:05. > :32:08.at the end on this one. You are Chris Doak it up the right-hand

:32:09. > :32:15.side, it looks awful and then all of a sudden it goes sharp left-hand end

:32:16. > :32:20.up not too bad. Not too bad. That's a good view of this 12th green. It

:32:21. > :32:31.used to be fairly level with the rest of the fairway and then they

:32:32. > :32:39.built it up. Julien Quesne to play. In two for a birdie. Not good.

:32:40. > :32:51.Here is Qaim up on the 13th. Long par attempt. -- here is Kaymer.

:32:52. > :32:56.Apart from that eagle on the fourth, it has not been good so far for

:32:57. > :33:03.Kaymer. Bogey and double bogey come he moves back to 5-under. Time

:33:04. > :33:15.running out for Kaymer. Chris Wood, having down the trees off the tee.

:33:16. > :33:21.Going to sit down. A bit of work left. Interesting, the course has

:33:22. > :33:29.got three very tough holes to be played, 13, 15 and 16, a lot of

:33:30. > :33:34.bogeys of those. Julien Quesne for his birdie. Chris Wood having a

:33:35. > :33:48.little look from the sidelines to check the break. Sweetly done. Very

:33:49. > :33:57.nice putt. He moves within four at the moment, 8-under par. He's got a

:33:58. > :34:03.little tasty one here. Chris Wood with a four stroke lead. He sort of

:34:04. > :34:11.controls his own destiny. This is to save his par. That is the easiest

:34:12. > :34:16.hole on the course. 38 birdies today. No birdie here for Chris Wood

:34:17. > :34:21.but a par and he maintains his four shot lead.

:34:22. > :34:34.The second shot. A good tee shot for Jaco van Zyl. Seeing where the tee

:34:35. > :34:39.is at the 15th. It is 5-under par. Please be good... Oh! It's very

:34:40. > :34:46.good. So tricky to get to that flag where it is cut today, with that

:34:47. > :34:49.breeze blowing. A par now for Julien Quesne. Just get it out of the sand.

:34:50. > :35:13.-- a par-5. Just 148 yards left for Chris Wood.

:35:14. > :35:20.A stronger of a drive. -- a stonker. Ooh! And unforced errors.

:35:21. > :35:34.Danny Willett, 15. This is for his par. Problems off the tee.

:35:35. > :35:41.Van Zyl for a very scarce birdie at the 15th today. And he's done it!

:35:42. > :35:56.He's earned it, after an excellent approach. 6-under par. 8-under Leeds

:35:57. > :36:03.in the clubhouse. Feet aiming right commission old is a little open. --

:36:04. > :36:08.feet aiming right, shoulders a little open. He's scuffed it a bit

:36:09. > :36:15.come he hit a stone. Something hard under the ball. After a perfect

:36:16. > :36:23.drive, struggling for his par. It's got to be his moment sometime here

:36:24. > :36:29.Andrew. Must be now. He needs this and he needs a couple more. Well,

:36:30. > :36:34.he's looking at the green, but I wouldn't say that was the prettiest

:36:35. > :36:38.of strokes. Julien Quesne now, for his par. He found the bunker off the

:36:39. > :36:49.tee. Down the hill and up the other side.

:36:50. > :37:17.A lot of energy in that one. Can he wriggle out of this 13th with

:37:18. > :37:25.a par? He has, you know! What a putt. Just at the right time. Five

:37:26. > :37:32.holes to come. That was a gem, that was a little beauty. Just what he's

:37:33. > :37:40.after. Now, Julien Quesne, to drop just one shot. He watched his

:37:41. > :37:45.playing partner role in his par putt. Julien Quesne back to 7-under,

:37:46. > :38:01.five behind Chris Wood, now. Second shot of Danny Willett, on the

:38:02. > :38:04.16th. I think that should be quite good!

:38:05. > :38:10.LAUGHTER Let's see, Danny. Well, that's a

:38:11. > :38:13.great shot from there. Really is. Moving it around the edge of the

:38:14. > :38:32.trees. Wood, putting up a severe little

:38:33. > :38:42.tier, here. A little shy. Beautiful putt on the eighth from long range,

:38:43. > :38:47.but a bit of work to do. Don't count Danny out. This is for a birdie at

:38:48. > :38:50.the 16th. They have been in short supply. He's made it. Two par fives

:38:51. > :39:04.to come. He holed one from a similar distance

:39:05. > :39:10.at the last for par, can he do so again? Not over yet by any stretch

:39:11. > :39:15.of the imagination. His lead will go down to three. Rikard Karlberg,

:39:16. > :39:23.after his 65, the man closest to him.

:39:24. > :39:31.Interesting to see the current Ryder Cup standings. Chris Wood currently

:39:32. > :39:37.in 13th place, with nine to play their way in by right for the

:39:38. > :39:42.automatic places. This will really help his automatic chances of

:39:43. > :39:53.getting into town clerk's team, were he to land this huge title. -- into

:39:54. > :40:01.Aaron clerk's team. He has struggled off this tee all week. Can he

:40:02. > :40:08.reached it in two? Gone right. Where is that? Down the path, way down

:40:09. > :40:12.there. I've never seen anyone go down there, Peter. That is on its

:40:13. > :40:22.way to the eighth hole. On its way to the 18th tee. Doubtful now but he

:40:23. > :40:29.could have set a good target. A frustrating day on the greens it has

:40:30. > :40:31.been fully west. This is for a par. -- on the greens it has been, for

:40:32. > :40:42.Lee Westwood. APPLAUSE

:40:43. > :40:47.One or two if the parts but a view very good ones that haven't found

:40:48. > :40:52.the bottom of the cup. -- iffy putts. Coming out of the rough.

:40:53. > :40:58.Chris Wood, doesn't want to miss right.

:40:59. > :41:10.Nicely played. Very nicely done. A conservative positional shot, just

:41:11. > :41:17.what he needed. Well, Willett is down in the jungle there now. If

:41:18. > :41:22.he's got a clear shot and a decent lie, it's possible he could get it

:41:23. > :41:26.somewhere... Well, that will go all the way back down the bottom. Well,

:41:27. > :41:46.what a week he's had. Wattel, it is quick down the hill.

:41:47. > :41:49.Is it that quick? Giving it his best. Just a fraction more. He was

:41:50. > :42:08.in the hunt last week in Ireland. Hello! A bit of a misread. He

:42:09. > :42:15.thought it was going to turn the other way. Come on, Danny. Let's

:42:16. > :42:20.have a bit of magic. Going with the putter out of the hollow on the

:42:21. > :42:34.17th. It's a big ask, he knows he needs something. Oh my. Ooh matron.

:42:35. > :42:51.After the 18th, Romain Wattel. He pops one in. Not too bad. That will

:42:52. > :42:56.be a nice week's pocket money. 15 holes played for Chris Wood. He's

:42:57. > :43:05.11-under par. 5-under on his round. He leads by three. Westwood, after

:43:06. > :43:08.that splendid second at the 15th. Just up the left-hand side. He's

:43:09. > :43:28.overdone it... Now, Chris Wood with this ghastly,

:43:29. > :43:36.difficult, horrible one. Well, he tried to play a little, I don't

:43:37. > :43:43.know, a little jigger up the left. Tried to play a bit of Seve magic

:43:44. > :43:48.but wasn't quite up to it. Danny Willett, second shot. Having a cut

:43:49. > :43:59.at the green. Not a very big target. Drifting away. Straight in the sand.

:44:00. > :44:05.And look where the flag is, right at the back left.

:44:06. > :44:15.Chris Wood long putt for a par. It swing from the left. I don't know

:44:16. > :44:23.whether as much as much as that... No, it's coming late. Still a bit to

:44:24. > :44:31.do. Hang on, hang on. Well, I heard Danny Willett say after his second

:44:32. > :44:39.shot, "How can you get round this golf course with a swing like that?"

:44:40. > :44:45.He went to chase this one out of the slope. That's pretty good from

:44:46. > :44:52.there. Just under a yard. APPLAUSE

:44:53. > :44:55.Always in the bag. Damage limitation, just the one stroke

:44:56. > :45:10.gained. Danny Willett, then, to try to

:45:11. > :45:17.finish with a four here. Yes! He has it at the very last, Danny Willett.

:45:18. > :45:21.Too many wayward shots. APPLAUSE

:45:22. > :45:33.Very important shot, that he gets it somewhere in play. Five here would

:45:34. > :45:44.be OK. That is a cracking drive. Write down the middle. Splits the

:45:45. > :45:50.fairway. Well, after that 71, Danny Willett wine since elfin first spot.

:45:51. > :45:55.He's with Hazel. Danny, as we speak, third place. Another top five finish

:45:56. > :45:59.for you. We know you had a lead at one stage in this Championship. With

:46:00. > :46:03.hindsight, how will you reflect on your endeavours? I hit too many bad

:46:04. > :46:07.shots but plenty of good ones, plenty of birdies. Just the ones I

:46:08. > :46:11.hit bad this week seemed to be a bit more destructive than usual. That's

:46:12. > :46:15.just this golf course. You've not got to be 1 million miles off and it

:46:16. > :46:20.can jump up and bite you. It all seemed to happen really quickly. The

:46:21. > :46:27.two days, I had a bit of a blip for 45 minutes and that is four shots on

:46:28. > :46:30.each day and it's hard to make up four shots around this golf course.

:46:31. > :46:34.You take some of those away and it could have been another good week.

:46:35. > :46:40.COMMENTATOR: This is Chris Wood, our leader, his third shot. Just missed

:46:41. > :46:47.the fairway on the right. Played up to here. This is not easy, it's in

:46:48. > :46:54.the hollow in front of the green and then pitch it in. That was played

:46:55. > :47:02.with far too much loft on that, I fancy. Pitched it straight in the

:47:03. > :47:07.face. Look at the 18th, Kaymer's second shot.

:47:08. > :47:17.He joins the group who will be thinking what might have been. It

:47:18. > :47:31.should come down the hill a bit. Certainly safety first, but not easy

:47:32. > :47:39.to judge because you come out of a steep bank. Over the other side it's

:47:40. > :47:43.pretty quick. Within a yard would be a beauty.

:47:44. > :47:53.Well, well, well. Two shots, his lead.

:47:54. > :48:14.Well, that was... Even when the golf suddenly becomes scrappy and nervy

:48:15. > :48:22.and edgy, it is still exciting. You feel this has to go. Has he done it?

:48:23. > :48:26.No he hasn't come yet he has! Oh boy oh boy oh boy, what a time to drop a

:48:27. > :48:40.shot. Three shots gone in his last four

:48:41. > :48:54.holes. One Dub Lake 1-shot lead. -- one to play, one shot lead. Kaymer,

:48:55. > :49:04.for an eagle. Left, left, just left. Not quite his day-to-day, Martin

:49:05. > :49:10.Kaymer. A closing birdie. An eagle on the fourth, a double bogey on the

:49:11. > :49:13.ninth. One birdie to finish with a 73. Still a top ten finish but he

:49:14. > :49:21.would have been hoping for so much more. Well, he knows a par is good

:49:22. > :49:25.enough if he is aware of the leaderboard, and I'm sure he is.

:49:26. > :49:32.Sensible off the tee. Must find the fairway.

:49:33. > :49:44.Somebody likes it. And that's the reason why. The thing is now, will

:49:45. > :49:55.he go for the green or they are and pitch it in for two putts. Rikard

:49:56. > :50:01.Karlberg hoping for the best, keeping warm.

:50:02. > :50:10.Probably an eight or 9-iron, no more. Keep it great. Yes he has.

:50:11. > :50:18.He's quite a way back. Watch the spin. We've seen it done before.

:50:19. > :50:28.Back it comes, into the water. Job done. Well, he is keeping warm,

:50:29. > :50:33.Rikard Karlberg. But Chris Wood is doing what he has to do, plotting

:50:34. > :50:44.his way down the 18th. Here we go, Wood's dirt shot. Three from here to

:50:45. > :50:49.win. Got to get over the water. Is it, is it? Will it spin? Yes, it

:50:50. > :50:54.does. Pretty good shape. Exactly where he was aiming as well, safe

:50:55. > :51:00.and secure, 20 feet wide of the flag, job nearly done. At the moment

:51:01. > :51:03.he's heading for the biggest win of his career, the biggest cheque of

:51:04. > :51:12.his career. The man who left onto the scene as a youngster, back in

:51:13. > :51:20.Oakdale at -- Birkdale at The Open. Two putts for his biggest victory on

:51:21. > :51:29.the European Tour and one of the biggest winds -- at one of the

:51:30. > :51:39.biggest tournaments. Two putts, for victory. Looks good. Ooh... I think

:51:40. > :51:50.that will be OK. It's about 20 inches.

:51:51. > :52:10.Chance to finish with a birdie. Chance to tie Danny Willett in third

:52:11. > :52:15.place. It just bobbled with about three feet to go. It just took a

:52:16. > :52:21.bobble and stayed on that line. Still a good finish. Fourth place,

:52:22. > :52:32.6-under par. The man has missed his last two cuts. A great finish for a

:52:33. > :52:39.level par round of 72. A wonderful setting, huge crowd looking on.

:52:40. > :52:45.Little tiddler to win the pot! Well done. Well done, Chris Wood, BMW PGA

:52:46. > :52:58.champion 2016. Great love. -- great stuff. Great victory by

:52:59. > :53:04.Chris Wood. They will be celebrating on the Clifton suspension Bridge

:53:05. > :53:10.tonight. A great victory, strained at times but well done.

:53:11. > :53:16.And our congratulations to Chris Wood. He has come so far here over

:53:17. > :53:23.the years. We remember on his debut in 2010, he was tied for sixth

:53:24. > :53:27.place. He has landed the big one, the biggest title of his career so

:53:28. > :53:34.far, is third European Tour win and in some nervy fashion at the end,

:53:35. > :53:39.but he your champion. And as Chris Wood, our champion, towers over me,

:53:40. > :53:42.time to give out the prizes today, in the company of the chief

:53:43. > :53:47.executive of the European Tour and Doctor Ian Robinson from BMW, lovely

:53:48. > :53:56.to see you. Great week and a great winner. I gave it to Chris last year

:53:57. > :54:01.and again this year. It's a really special event and a great fight at

:54:02. > :54:04.the end. It is what you deserve. Hand it over, thank you, Ian. Our

:54:05. > :54:10.champion is crowned! CHEERING

:54:11. > :54:14.Well, Chris, we remember your debut year six years ago and you've waited

:54:15. > :54:18.some time to get your hands on this. This is your third European Tour

:54:19. > :54:23.title but I suspect it could be your greatest day in golf, yeah? Yes, the

:54:24. > :54:29.strength of the field every year in the BMW PGA is just so strong. To

:54:30. > :54:34.win a tournament like this takes a lot of very good golf. And on such a

:54:35. > :54:37.great golf course... I have to thank BMW, they put on some of the best

:54:38. > :54:48.events for us players. I've always wanted to win one. I love my BMWs!

:54:49. > :54:52.Yeah, this is a massive win for me. It was a fantastic start to you,

:54:53. > :54:58.covering the front nine in 29. A four shot lead with only five holes

:54:59. > :55:00.to go, but one to play with coming down the 18th, I wonder how nerve

:55:01. > :55:08.wracking those closing holes were for you? There you! It's not an easy

:55:09. > :55:12.course to finish on. -- very! You've got to hit some really solid shots

:55:13. > :55:17.coming in from 13 onwards really. There's potential trouble

:55:18. > :55:23.everywhere. And when you're leading, it seems to make it ten times

:55:24. > :55:28.harder. But it doesn't matter how many you win by, if you're one ahead

:55:29. > :55:33.or ten ahead, I've still got my hands on this. So many positives do

:55:34. > :55:37.this title and one of them for you could be a leapfrogging up the Ryder

:55:38. > :55:42.Cup rankings. How positive a day has it been for you in that regard?

:55:43. > :55:46.Yeah, obviously it's a target of mine. I made a great start in the

:55:47. > :55:51.rankings last season. I've had a so-so year up to here and been there

:55:52. > :55:57.or thereabouts, but this is obviously going to go a long way to

:55:58. > :56:01.helping me push towards sneaking in the team, really. I need to start

:56:02. > :56:08.focusing on putting in some more good finishes to try and cement my

:56:09. > :56:16.place and not rely on Mr Clarke picking me! Well, I'm sure if more

:56:17. > :56:18.performances like this come your way he will be picking you. Imagination

:56:19. > :56:30.is once again. -- congratulations once again.

:56:31. > :56:33.Thanks, Hazel. Let's round up some of the other leading contenders for

:56:34. > :56:39.you. Lee Westwood birdied the last for a 3-under par finish for the

:56:40. > :56:46.Championship but closed out today with a disappointing 76. Other

:56:47. > :56:55.chances for the we hope. YE Yang finishing with a 75. Tyrrell Hatton

:56:56. > :56:59.out of the final group. A 75 for him today and a tie for seventh place

:57:00. > :57:03.for the local. Overnight leader Scott Hend, a truly terrible round

:57:04. > :57:09.from the Australian, a round of 78 and a share of 15th place, like

:57:10. > :57:13.Westwood. Chris Wood, this is his final putt, this is the kind of

:57:14. > :57:19.distance you like to have to close out a big win, isn't it? A round of

:57:20. > :57:26.69 to take the victory. Out in 29, home in 40 but he hung on. A 1-shot

:57:27. > :57:30.victory over Rikard Karlberg, who really did brighten everybody's day

:57:31. > :57:34.with that scintillating round of 65. Danny Willett steadied the ship

:57:35. > :57:41.today with a round of 71 for outright third place. A 3-way tie

:57:42. > :57:45.for fourth place. Andrew Johnston, a round of 67 with an eagle at the

:57:46. > :57:49.last, giving everyone a lock to smile about. He's in a group with a

:57:50. > :57:54.tie for seventh place. A bit further down, the name of Lee Westwood in

:57:55. > :57:58.that chair of 15th place after that round of 76. We will doubtless see

:57:59. > :58:02.much more of Chris Wood over the coming months in what is going to be

:58:03. > :58:07.a very significant summer of sport on the BBC. Highlights of the

:58:08. > :58:10.Scottish Open and The Open from Troon, live coverage of the Rio

:58:11. > :58:14.Olympics and before all of that in less than a fortnight, the European

:58:15. > :58:16.football Championships. On that subject, I hope you will be watching

:58:17. > :58:25.this on Wednesday night. But tonight we salute a home win

:58:26. > :58:29.here at the Wentworth Club. Chris Wood naturally stands tall in the

:58:30. > :58:31.world of golf, but tonight he stands head and shoulders above everyone

:58:32. > :58:35.else. Goodbye.
