:00:53. > :00:58.Hello, this Barclays Scottish Open is so far the spectators, nearly

:00:58. > :01:03.12,000 of them, on the opening day, and the players are lapping up this

:01:03. > :01:09.ground breaking trip to the Scottish Highlands. Not only have

:01:09. > :01:16.we been dazzled by the view, but to the quality of play. Over half of

:01:16. > :01:19.the 156 strong field finished under For round one on the wide and

:01:19. > :01:25.generous fair ways on Castle Stuart Golf Links. Happy days indeed. Day

:01:25. > :01:32.one of this new course, new setting in a playful mood. Sunshine and

:01:32. > :01:38.rain, and Lee Westwood coped with it all, cruising to 7-under. Only

:01:38. > :01:48.one many officially sits higher, and he tucked himself just behind

:01:48. > :01:49.

:01:49. > :01:54.67. Edoardo Molinari found six on his way to a 67. And Monty was

:01:54. > :02:03.still hoping for a place in the Open, still rages against the dying

:02:03. > :02:10.of the light, sometimes just raging. Other hopes fell on Mark Warren,

:02:10. > :02:20.who made seven birdies in, and Mickelson, hoping for better in

:02:20. > :02:21.

:02:21. > :02:29.round 2. There was a flurry of birdies and eagles in a breezey day

:02:29. > :02:33.and in the end it was Mark Tullo and Graeme McDowell who set the

:02:33. > :02:39.pace. Edoardo Molinari and Luke Donald were very much in touch in

:02:39. > :02:47.that large group, but 5-under. On Day 2, even more inviting

:02:47. > :02:51.conditions for low scoring.. Scott Jamieson was putting together a

:02:51. > :02:57.remarkable run, he began at the ninth with a bogey, five birdies in

:02:57. > :03:05.a row followed thereafter and this was an eagle chance at the long 18

:03:05. > :03:10.and he took it took. Belgian's player finally got his he

:03:10. > :03:17.ward with a win in China, and big hitter was in the mix again. Again,

:03:17. > :03:24.this is for eagle. He took it to two and picked up two shots to move

:03:24. > :03:30.two and picked up two shots to move to 7-under.. Clearly he was

:03:30. > :03:35.enjoying Castle Stuart. His sixth birdie of the round. And this man,

:03:35. > :03:42.Graeme McDowell, was setting a cracking pace. Shh this is also his

:03:42. > :03:52.sixth birdie of the day. He took his first nine holes in 30 shots

:03:52. > :04:02.

:04:02. > :04:07.and he is 9-under par this. Is comment isn't that a lovely scene,

:04:07. > :04:12.looking up towards Inverness and there is the stately castle, the

:04:12. > :04:16.castle Stewart. Where the family have lived on and off for 700 or

:04:16. > :04:20.800 years or so. It is a very calm day and the scoring has been

:04:20. > :04:26.absolutely stunning so far. Here we are at the second green, Scott

:04:26. > :04:32.Jamieson, this is for an eagle. He is already 11-under F he could roll

:04:32. > :04:42.this in he would be 13-under par and he has.

:04:42. > :04:44.

:04:44. > :04:50.CHEERING Well, done, sir. 8 hupblder for his

:04:50. > :05:00.round, starting with a bogey. the clubs you know, the new clubs.

:05:00. > :05:16.

:05:17. > :05:25.The leader by four at this moment, but for how long I wonder. He has

:05:25. > :05:35.judged it well, Daniel Ellsberg. is going along nicely as well, four

:05:35. > :05:41.

:05:41. > :05:45.out in 30, par the first, and this was for a spot at number two. 7-

:05:45. > :05:49.under for the day. This is blistering golf at the moment.

:05:49. > :05:54.Everywhere you look the leader boards are full of red figure, it

:05:54. > :06:04.is wonderful to see. Great for the spectators, and there are many of

:06:04. > :06:16.

:06:16. > :06:26.there playing today. Not breath of wind. Angel Cabrera, he is really

:06:26. > :06:38.

:06:38. > :06:48.hot. 8-under. Scott Jamieson now at it come down - just in the little

:06:48. > :06:50.

:06:50. > :07:00.hollow. Some delightful holes here. Here is the man who has come into

:07:00. > :07:03.

:07:03. > :07:13.his own here, and another birdie for the Belgian. That leaves the

:07:13. > :07:15.

:07:15. > :07:21.course fairly defenceless. At the third, he will pass four. At the

:07:21. > :07:25.back of the green n the hazard. Not too bad from where he was. He

:07:25. > :07:33.couldn't ground his club, hacking out of the rough, he will have that

:07:33. > :07:38.for a birdie. He was a little unlucky with his tee shot just

:07:38. > :07:45.trickling over the green. Scott Jamieson, this is his shot at the

:07:45. > :07:55.fourth, he must have potted down to there and that is a drop shot. It

:07:55. > :07:56.

:07:56. > :08:02.stops an amazing run. Look at that. It started with a bogey at the

:08:02. > :08:12.tenth and those birdie, two eagles and now a bogey at the fourth. A

:08:12. > :08:16.

:08:16. > :08:26.short par three as well. He is 6- under at the moment, this is his

:08:26. > :08:26.

:08:26. > :08:30.second shot at the 7th green. There. (APPLAUSE)

:08:30. > :08:38.He always looked a very good player to me. Perhaps hasn't won quite as

:08:38. > :08:48.much as he might have done. Els is at the second, he is going for an

:08:48. > :08:56.eagle putt. (APPLAUSE)

:08:56. > :09:06.167 yards, now he gets the ball out and McDowell leaves himself another

:09:06. > :09:09.

:09:09. > :09:19.chance. The wide stance of Simon Dyson and they will going along

:09:19. > :09:23.

:09:23. > :09:33.very nicely. 7-under. Paul Lawrie at the third, 7-under, he is about

:09:33. > :09:34.

:09:34. > :09:44.to go 8-under, and he does. (APPLAUSE)

:09:44. > :09:49.

:09:49. > :09:59.Paul Lawrie showing some splendid form. This man has had a very good

:09:59. > :10:05.season. He has done very well indeed. The front nine, and the

:10:05. > :10:12.back nine, moves to 9-under. Move I along well. As we thought it might

:10:12. > :10:19.be it is low scoring with very little breeze here at Castle Stuart.

:10:19. > :10:25.And for Scotland, Scott Jamieson two shots clear from earn Els.

:10:25. > :10:32.Padraig Harrington going along well out on the course. Phil Mickelson

:10:32. > :10:42.now. On the tee at the fourth. He has work to do. He is only 3-under,

:10:42. > :10:43.

:10:43. > :10:50.can't afford to mess about.. That looks a beauty. Qualifying score,

:10:50. > :11:00.it could only be a 3, or 4-under par. Very low. Another man going

:11:00. > :11:01.

:11:01. > :11:11.well, Mark Waugh ren. An eagle coming. Moves to 9-under. A little

:11:11. > :11:19.

:11:19. > :11:29.bit up and down, currently 9-under par. That sets up another birdie

:11:29. > :11:44.

:11:44. > :11:52.chance. He is chasing one. Behind, a wonderful shot, sings back left.

:11:53. > :12:01.Simon Dyson at the sixth. Right on the edge of the bunker. His fourth

:12:01. > :12:07.shot, he will tap that in and stay 7-under par. He has played some

:12:07. > :12:14.very good golf this year. He was a great star in those hot places, he

:12:14. > :12:21.played out in the Far East for a year or two. Another birdie,

:12:21. > :12:30.talking about what a good season it has been. 7 in the PGA, and 8th in

:12:30. > :12:39.the Italian, and three behind, this fellow, Scott. Els playing 167, a

:12:39. > :12:47.little bit of breeze in his face, just a touch uphill. Oh. It went do

:12:47. > :12:57.the right somewhere having driven the previous grown, he had chance

:12:57. > :12:58.

:12:58. > :13:03.of a birdie, it was a little bit across Els. That was very awkward.

:13:03. > :13:13.You don't see there too often, do we? No, but it was a poor shot by

:13:13. > :13:16.

:13:16. > :13:24.his standards. Here is Dyson, 7- under, second in at the seventh. He

:13:24. > :13:30.has a bounce through those delightful little bumps and hollows.

:13:30. > :13:37.Very cleverly designed. Now, that was a bit wayward, and he went

:13:37. > :13:45.award with that one as well. Oh, dear. Knock on wood. He has left

:13:45. > :13:51.himself a tough one from there, my goodness. Whiteford, another birdie

:13:51. > :14:01.chance. It sounded sweet and right into the cup. 11-under.

:14:01. > :14:04.

:14:04. > :14:14.(APPLAUSE) Nicolas Colsaerts, he is doing a

:14:14. > :14:23.

:14:23. > :14:29.birdie putt drop in at the moment. (APPLAUSE)

:14:29. > :14:35.Mark Warren here at the eighth. What a shot. Back to 7-under.

:14:35. > :14:43.Scoring is very hot today F this calm weather continues, it could

:14:43. > :14:52.well be many, many under par. just came up short of the putting

:14:52. > :14:54.surface, this for a birdie. Beautifully done. 11-under.

:14:54. > :15:00.(APPLAUSE) Yesterday, Lee Westwood went round

:15:00. > :15:05.in 65. It could be broken this morning, and Graeme may well be one

:15:05. > :15:10.of them. It has perfect. Picked up a little bit since early doors but

:15:10. > :15:13.still delightful. Very calm, Jamieson still leads the way but

:15:13. > :15:23.system of the leaders are beginning to stumble a little bit, a dropped

:15:23. > :15:27.

:15:27. > :15:37.shot here, a dropped shot there. A long way to go. They are playing

:15:37. > :15:54.

:15:54. > :16:04.Scott Jamieson. He has given that a biff past the hole. A long par

:16:04. > :16:14.

:16:14. > :16:24.three and this is to save his par. Els, oh, my Lord. That is horrible.

:16:24. > :16:29.I am afraid Els' problem all too often. It is a real 360, isn't it?

:16:29. > :16:39.It is haunting him. It was hit too hard. There was nothing wrong with

:16:39. > :16:40.

:16:40. > :16:50.anything, he just hit it too hard. You are too strong, Ernie! A tricky

:16:50. > :16:58.

:16:58. > :17:05.putt. That has opened the door to the rest of the field, a double

:17:05. > :17:10.bogey. (APPLAUSE)

:17:10. > :17:14.Self-inflicted wound there, Ken, were they not? Now they are

:17:14. > :17:17.storming around the course, as indeed is Whiteford. Some more of

:17:17. > :17:27.the big names will come out this afternoon, so they will be opening

:17:27. > :17:30.

:17:30. > :17:36.the weather remains the same. Colsaerts. Here on the front right,

:17:36. > :17:44.he wants to just feed it down short of the green, let it trickle down

:17:44. > :17:51.as we saw from Fisher. He has moved it in off that little bump. Look at

:17:51. > :18:01.it now. (APPLAUSE)

:18:01. > :18:10.

:18:10. > :18:19.Yet another birdie. Steven, a big tea shot off a par six. That is

:18:19. > :18:22.perfect. Sit down, sit down. He will head it up for an eagle. Peter

:18:23. > :18:30.Whiteford, Scott Jamieson, Colin Montgomerie, a lot of Scots up this

:18:30. > :18:38.week. They love it when they come home. Colsaerts taps in. One hole

:18:38. > :18:42.to play. (APPLAUSE)

:18:42. > :18:52.It is getting more consistency into his game and here is something who

:18:52. > :18:54.

:18:54. > :19:04.is usually pretty consistent, Simon Dyson. He is 67-under par. -- 7-

:19:04. > :19:04.

:19:05. > :19:11.under par. That is going to - oh, no! Life is unfair at time, isn't

:19:11. > :19:21.it. Don't go in there, for goodness sake. Would you believe it? Well, I

:19:21. > :19:25.

:19:25. > :19:31.saw it and I can hardly believe it. Go hard, go hard! That was a

:19:31. > :19:39.beautiful bounce. Keep going. A little unlucky. If you get your tee

:19:39. > :19:48.shot, just chasing through the little valley. A long bird ji putt

:19:48. > :19:56.for Peter Whiteford. A fairly seizable par putt to come.

:19:56. > :20:02.greens have a fair bit of pace in them, haven't they? I do like

:20:02. > :20:07.watching Angel Cabrera play. This tee shot at the 8th, 196 yards

:20:07. > :20:15.today, and there was another one. He is putting the ball in some nice

:20:15. > :20:23.places and making the course a lot easier today, particularly under

:20:23. > :20:33.these conditions. We will see this birdie attempt. A three putt from

:20:33. > :20:47.

:20:47. > :20:52.distance, but a 3 putt none theless. Two behind the leaders now. 9th,

:20:52. > :20:58.Scott Jamieson. (APPLAUSE)

:20:58. > :21:04.Well done. A good par. A good saving putt on the last. One

:21:04. > :21:10.blemish, and that was the nasty double bogey on the 8th. After that,

:21:10. > :21:20.a great round of golf. Well done. He has been playing some delightful

:21:20. > :21:26.

:21:26. > :21:32.golf. He was a little unlucky with the tee shot, it just stopped on

:21:32. > :21:42.the run. This comes from the right. A lot of it is to deal with the

:21:42. > :21:45.

:21:45. > :21:55.speed of putt. He is 11-under par. How, that was a good touch, wasn't

:21:55. > :22:03.

:22:03. > :22:10.it? Finishes right behind the hole. David second to the ninth hole. He

:22:10. > :22:20.is playing alongside Colsaerts. Seven birdies today from him.

:22:20. > :22:30.Cabrera for birdie at the eighth. This to go 9-under par, and he has.

:22:30. > :22:43.

:22:43. > :22:46.(APPLAUSE) Masters champion. Nicolas Colsaerts,

:22:46. > :22:52.to the ninth. If you miss the greens here there are so many

:22:52. > :23:02.different ways to play the pitches and chip, float them up. Peter

:23:02. > :23:05.

:23:05. > :23:15.Whiteford just in the first cut, very generous which is py stuff.

:23:15. > :23:31.

:23:31. > :23:35.Colsaerts here at the ninth. He is 10-under. This is for a par. His

:23:35. > :23:45.good luck comes to a bit of a stopper.

:23:45. > :24:04.

:24:04. > :24:14.(APPLAUSE) . Harrington. He was really singing

:24:14. > :24:16.

:24:16. > :24:26.the praisings of this golf course at the start of it, loves it. Now,

:24:26. > :24:27.

:24:27. > :24:35.McDowell down in the hollow. Just a little pitch. Sandy soil. Oh, we

:24:35. > :24:45.saw Dyson trickling down there, that should go - could go. Luck of

:24:45. > :24:45.

:24:45. > :24:55.the Irish, as they say. (APPLAUSE)

:24:55. > :25:03.

:25:03. > :25:06.I was thinking 85. 85 yards or so to go. You won't see it, it has

:25:06. > :25:10.just disappeared behind the live overall the green, you can just tea

:25:10. > :25:20.the top half of the flag. The ground is very firm here. You have

:25:20. > :25:21.

:25:21. > :25:25.to strike them so precisely. (APPLAUSE)

:25:25. > :25:30.Hard ground. That is how they stand at the moment. Jamieson finished

:25:30. > :25:35.with 66 and also 66, Nicolas Colsaerts. But for the rest of them

:25:35. > :25:42.still some work to do but it looks like we will have a red-hot scoring

:25:42. > :25:52.morning with lots more to come plater in the day. Graeme McDowell

:25:52. > :25:59.

:25:59. > :26:09.from the back of the ninth, this is for a round of 63. Well done, well

:26:09. > :26:28.

:26:28. > :26:36.five on the card, all threes and fours. Magic. Here is Whiteford.

:26:37. > :26:44.Christian Nilsson at if 18th. Hit a little valley. Nicely judged, an

:26:44. > :26:51.eagle chance. Harrington. We haven't seen much of him. Here he

:26:51. > :26:56.is - 8-under now. (APPLAUSE)

:26:56. > :27:02.Starting to hold one or two putts. Yes, much better. I like watching

:27:03. > :27:12.him play, have done since he was an amateur. He played in the Walker

:27:13. > :27:20.

:27:20. > :27:30.Nilsson runs off a very tidey round of golf. Three bogeys sprinkled in

:27:30. > :27:33.

:27:33. > :27:37.there but a 6. -- 68. We will find out what the tatoos mean. Good

:27:37. > :27:40.visitor from the United States, Matt Kuchar. 6-under par and he has

:27:41. > :27:49.held another one. 7-under. (APPLAUSE)

:27:49. > :27:59.. He is a great player. Whiteford is second to the seventh, playing

:27:59. > :28:03.

:28:03. > :28:11.backwards into the breeze, par four. A wonderful iron shot, hitting

:28:11. > :28:21.plenty of greens and regulations. Paul Lawrie. You can see the ball

:28:21. > :28:36.

:28:36. > :28:46.moving right to left. He is lining up for a 64 as well. Wandering

:28:46. > :28:50.

:28:50. > :29:00.about that putt, slightly, from Peter Whiteford. This man, age 30,

:29:00. > :29:02.

:29:02. > :29:10.going along very nicely. Paul Lawrie, here he is, on the ninth.

:29:10. > :29:18.He is 8-under par. Looks good. Right in the middle of the middle.

:29:18. > :29:26.Very, very good, 9-under par. (APPLAUSE)

:29:26. > :29:36.Look at all of those trees up there, good gracious me. Very well done.

:29:36. > :30:03.

:30:03. > :30:13.bit up the hill from the birdie. (APPLAUSE)

:30:13. > :30:14.

:30:15. > :30:24.A bogey, 66. He has had a good season so far, umpteen top tens.

:30:25. > :30:27.

:30:27. > :30:37.Whiteford coming to the end of his round, his final hole.

:30:37. > :30:38.

:30:38. > :30:48.(APPLAUSE) . Jose Mauel Lara, 17th tee to par

:30:48. > :30:55.

:30:55. > :31:01.three. I just love seeing the ball running out. It was beautifully

:31:01. > :31:09.judged. 219 yards down the broz. Peter Whiteford now, his final hole.

:31:09. > :31:19.And he gets it. 11-under par. What an excellent round of golf, played

:31:19. > :31:21.

:31:21. > :31:30.under delightful conditions. That is a terrific round of golf. Jose

:31:30. > :31:40.Mauel Lara, can he also get to 11- under par. No, he can't. He cannot

:31:40. > :31:41.

:31:41. > :31:46.believe it is still there. 10-under par, just one behind. A morning of

:31:46. > :31:53.very good scoring. And Jose Mauel Lara would indeed go on to par the

:31:53. > :32:03.18th for a round of 66. 10-under, one behind the leading trio. There

:32:03. > :32:04.

:32:04. > :32:07.is a look at the leader board, p two northern Scots and an irinman.

:32:07. > :32:12.When you see your name on the leader board, it is something you

:32:12. > :32:18.get used to now, what were your ambitions when you did graduate to

:32:18. > :32:23.the big tour. It is to keep your cards, get enough money up for that,

:32:23. > :32:28.and rookie of the year was also I had something in mind, so I have

:32:28. > :32:33.made a good start to that, and then hopefully a win or a top 16.

:32:34. > :32:39.Congratulations, a course record, there were two in your group today,

:32:39. > :32:43.inspired by Justin and yourself. Yes, Justin played nicely too. It

:32:43. > :32:47.was one of those mornings you knew you had to go and do a score. You

:32:47. > :32:53.have to stay patient, you cannot try to birdie every hole, you have

:32:53. > :32:57.to try to play the shots and not try too hard. I got off to a nice

:32:57. > :33:01.start, and that was the dream start and I played some nice golf after

:33:01. > :33:06.that and gave myself a few chances and took a few. Like I say, it was

:33:06. > :33:10.a perfect morning for score and you knew you had to go low. Tell us

:33:10. > :33:19.about the way you finished off that round in style and what does it

:33:19. > :33:27.feel like being joint leader? great, I am just hanging on to

:33:27. > :33:35.Graeme McDowell's coat tails, a bit. It was a great finish. I am

:33:36. > :33:39.delighted. Paul, lovely round of 64 today, pd jointly matches the

:33:39. > :33:44.course's best. How did you feel about today? I played the same as

:33:44. > :33:48.yesterday to a degree, I hit the ball very well but I played lovely

:33:48. > :33:52.today. When you get links courses with no wind you have to take

:33:52. > :33:56.advantage because there are plenty of days when there is hail and

:33:56. > :34:00.raining a gale. That numbers with a nice score. I couldn't have done

:34:00. > :34:04.any better, so it is nice. useful is this in the build up and

:34:05. > :34:10.how important is this title in itself before the Open proper?

:34:10. > :34:14.Depending on what everyone does on Saturday, 11-under par, and 8-under

:34:14. > :34:19.par, I am certainly not under this tournament. I will keep working on

:34:19. > :34:24.this tournament for the next two days. In fact, the conditions

:34:24. > :34:28.worsened considerably, play barely under way for the late starters

:34:28. > :34:33.when the threat of thunderstorms caused a two-hour stoppage. When

:34:33. > :34:38.they returned, albeit in calm conditions at 5 o'clock, the rain

:34:38. > :34:45.was hampering gown on this Castle Stuart and scoring became much

:34:45. > :34:51.tougher. Although, Jamie Donaldson seemed impervious to the

:34:51. > :34:56.distraction on his return, going 8- under. Now, Lee Westwood dropped a

:34:56. > :34:59.shot at the second, but his iron play has been at times startling

:34:59. > :35:04.brilliant this week and this approach to the 10th was an example

:35:04. > :35:11.of that. All over the flag and he knocked that one in to return a 7-

:35:11. > :35:21.under. Now, Westerwelle could over take to regain the number one

:35:21. > :35:26.position, and they he was met back on the score line after he Missed

:35:27. > :35:33.this one. The luck of the draw is playing its

:35:33. > :35:37.part in this Scottish Open. None of the men out on the course make a

:35:37. > :35:46.impression on the leader board. Would that change any time soon as

:35:47. > :35:52.we pick up play. Everything is always - I have never seen this

:35:52. > :36:02.fellow off balance. It is always as if he has a permanent photographer

:36:02. > :36:03.

:36:03. > :36:13.waiting to snap him at the end of a swing. They were hopping up this

:36:13. > :36:15.

:36:15. > :36:22.morning, we almost saw four or five hole-in-ones. Tea shot of Edoardo

:36:22. > :36:29.Molinari, the prettiest hole in the golf course. It was a wonderful

:36:29. > :36:33.shot. It is an elevated tee. Westwood had has two birdies and

:36:33. > :36:43.two bogeys. That is a very attractive shot down to the green,

:36:43. > :37:04.

:37:04. > :37:14.plenty of those over two the two days, just a beautiful putter of

:37:14. > :37:17.

:37:17. > :37:21.the ball. Westwood for birdie. Coming off birdie on 10. Now, that

:37:21. > :37:29.water is quite shallow, there is a few little channels going in and

:37:29. > :37:36.out. I haven't seen a lot of activity on the water. Molinari for

:37:36. > :37:42.his birdie. (APPLAUSE)

:37:42. > :37:52.And that is three birdies in a row for Molinari. He can really putt

:37:52. > :37:59.

:37:59. > :38:03.this fellow. 5-under, the defending champion. That was beautifully

:38:03. > :38:11.played. (APPLAUSE)

:38:11. > :38:15.What does Monty have here. Just a tad under 100 yard and to realise

:38:15. > :38:20.his dream of playing next week he needs to start converting a few of

:38:20. > :38:30.these into birdies. (APPLAUSE)

:38:30. > :38:41.

:38:41. > :38:50.It looks good. You will never know.. The black isle over there. Monty

:38:50. > :39:00.now for his three. He, too, comes up short. Just taking a bit of a

:39:00. > :39:07.

:39:07. > :39:17.string out of the greens with the light rain. 6-under par.

:39:17. > :39:24.

:39:24. > :39:33.chances of playing next week are slipping away. Yes!

:39:33. > :39:43.(APPLAUSE) 33 for Hanson, 8-under total. Just

:39:43. > :39:48.

:39:48. > :39:54.one bogey there on five. Big Darren Clarke on the 8th hole. One of four

:39:54. > :40:04.beautiful par threes here at Castle Stuart, and what a wonderful long

:40:04. > :40:05.

:40:05. > :40:11.iron shot. Molinari, second shot here on 12. Up hill par five.

:40:11. > :40:17.Beautiful shot. Par fives really are scoring opportunities here.

:40:17. > :40:27.Along with a couple of drivable par fours, there is plenty of birdies

:40:27. > :40:33.

:40:33. > :40:39.to be made. Lee Westwood at the 12th. Par five. There is just a

:40:39. > :40:42.hint of wind. It is blowing from more or less the same direction

:40:42. > :40:49.since this event started on Thursday, and that is coming round

:40:49. > :40:55.and down and on. (APPLAUSE)

:40:55. > :41:04.Darren two under for his round today, 5-under for the tournament

:41:04. > :41:12.and is to move to six. (APPLAUSE)

:41:12. > :41:18.Winner earlier this year, now he moved back to Northern Ireland, his

:41:18. > :41:27.home town. 6-under overall, 3-under today. Second shot here of

:41:27. > :41:31.Montgomerie, looking down on the green. He is going to aim this just

:41:31. > :41:41.right at the flag and there are rumbles of thunder in the

:41:41. > :41:41.

:41:41. > :41:46.background and - that was a fierce bang, he won't like that, that was

:41:46. > :41:51.vicious. Play may be stopped again for lightning. Lightning is in the

:41:51. > :42:01.air and that is one thing on golf courses they are always veryer in

:42:01. > :42:06.

:42:06. > :42:11.boy, in your come. That was the second stoppage in of

:42:11. > :42:14.the day. TV coverage was brought to a halt at that point and the leader

:42:14. > :42:18.board still dominated by those lucky morning starters. So, we will

:42:18. > :42:25.have to bring you all the rest of the knews from round two when we

:42:25. > :42:29.return on BBC2 this afternoon at 12.50. We are almost halfway

:42:29. > :42:32.through this Barclays Scottish Open, and clearly an awful lot more to

:42:32. > :42:37.think about over the coming couple will of days. Thereafter we will be

:42:37. > :42:41.turning our focus to the 140th playing of the Open champion from

:42:41. > :42:51.next Wednesday. Preview the programs on Wednesday evening and

:42:51. > :42:52.

:42:52. > :42:56.then we will be live from Royal St George. One man who loved the Cup

:42:56. > :42:59.was Seve Ballesteros and don't forget on Sunday night we will be

:42:59. > :43:05.playing a special tribute to a special player. There are many ways

:43:05. > :43:09.to play golf. You can build your own course by using your

:43:09. > :43:15.imagination. He put so much passion into the game, how much he wanted

:43:15. > :43:20.it, how much the crowds love him. Forget the golf, we miss him as a

:43:20. > :43:26.person. He was there for one reason because he had great sense of

:43:26. > :43:36.humour. He had a vibrant sense of humour. He never talked about the

:43:36. > :43:42.

:43:42. > :43:46.worse. Join me on Sunday night at 10.25 on BBC1. That special
