:00:13. > :00:34.Hello and welcome to day two of the final major of the season, the PGA

:00:35. > :00:39.Championship. Quaill Hollow is a tough nut to crack. 67 lead the way.

:00:40. > :00:46.The highest score to lead the way after day one since 2010. The course

:00:47. > :00:52.was playing long, the greens were lightning fast. Let's look back at

:00:53. > :01:01.the best of yesterday. This course is proving a pretty good

:01:02. > :01:15.test. Is he walking into history, I wonder? A train new can't stop. --

:01:16. > :01:26.you can't stop. Can you Adam and Eve it? Thorbjorn Olesen for birdie.

:01:27. > :01:36.Finish in a blaze of law. Like that. -- glory. Coming into day two it was

:01:37. > :01:42.a two away tie at the top of the leaderboard. 67 the best score of

:01:43. > :01:47.day one. It was held by Denmark's Thorbjorn Olesen and American Kevin

:01:48. > :01:53.Kisner. Kevin Kisner was out earlier today. This is what he did. He has

:01:54. > :01:57.only had one top 20 finish in a major. He is looking to add to that

:01:58. > :02:02.at the very least this week. This was his 3rd hole of the day. That

:02:03. > :02:07.would be close enough for his second birdie of the day to go to 6-under.

:02:08. > :02:18.He dropped a shot at 13. Another birdie putt the 15th. Par-5. That

:02:19. > :02:26.took him back to 6-under par. Kevin Kisner almost a local lad from South

:02:27. > :02:33.Carolina. This was the seventh. His third shot. He went with the putter.

:02:34. > :02:40.A good choice. He would storm into a four shot lead. 8-under par. This

:02:41. > :02:45.was his final hole of the day. Finished on the ninth. Aid under par

:02:46. > :02:55.is where he would remain for his round. -- 8-under.

:02:56. > :03:00.67 today to back up 67 yesterday. How well are you playing? I'm

:03:01. > :03:05.hitting the ball straight off the tee. That is key. I love the golf

:03:06. > :03:09.course. I looking forward to do that over the weekend. A lot of people

:03:10. > :03:13.have spoken about this course and this event, that you need to be a

:03:14. > :03:20.long hitter. Are you saying accuracy is more important than distance? It

:03:21. > :03:27.is starting to firm up. I'm getting some rolls. It is making the course

:03:28. > :03:32.shorter. We will try to dodge these storms and keep it firm on the

:03:33. > :03:38.fairways. How do you keep the mental approach to leading a major going

:03:39. > :03:41.into the weekend? I'm a big process guy. I will stick with my process

:03:42. > :03:47.and do what I need to do. That is what I try to do. I will start

:03:48. > :03:54.worrying about result with a few holes to go. We wish you well.

:03:55. > :03:59.Thanks buddy. Rory McIlroy was the pretournament

:04:00. > :04:04.favourite. One of the early starters today. He started on the tenth. We

:04:05. > :04:08.had a birdie on the sixth. Then a terrible run. Four bogeys in five

:04:09. > :04:18.holes had him flirting with the projected cod. A salvage job in his

:04:19. > :04:20.last few holes this is not the Quaill Hollow we have gotten to know

:04:21. > :04:26.in the past ten years. This is a completely different golf

:04:27. > :04:32.course. If they didn't do anything else with this golf course and just

:04:33. > :04:36.changed it like it is now, it makes the golf course two shots more

:04:37. > :04:41.difficult. With the lies you get in the rough, the trickiness around the

:04:42. > :04:51.greens. A low round used to be 61. Now it is 67. You are playing your

:04:52. > :04:53.as off to get that. If I shoot 267s over the weekend I will have a

:04:54. > :05:00.really good chance. He is ten shots off the lead. He

:05:01. > :05:02.will be here for the weekend. Just as things were getting interesting

:05:03. > :05:09.out on the course, the weather struck. Play was suspended. The

:05:10. > :05:12.players were taken off the course. Spectators are urged to take

:05:13. > :05:20.shelter. The threat of lightning in the air. As you can see from our

:05:21. > :05:23.pictures, it was not very pleasant. Richey Prasad has braved the

:05:24. > :05:29.elements and will give us a quick update.

:05:30. > :05:34.We have had two spells of very heavy rain. The good news is that play is

:05:35. > :05:39.set to resume shortly. The players are back on the range getting

:05:40. > :05:44.themselves ready. A couple of the big movers are Jason Day and Hideki

:05:45. > :05:50.Matsuyama. They are just a? Shots behind the leader, Kevin Kisner.

:05:51. > :05:56.Matsuyama warming up beside Padraig Harrington. Play is set to resume at

:05:57. > :06:03.11:25pm. Players are warming up. We will

:06:04. > :06:06.hopefully have live golf soon. Some of the guys chasing down Kevin

:06:07. > :06:12.Kisner, one of them is somebody who knows how to win the PGA

:06:13. > :06:20.Championship. Jason Day. It took to world number one in 2015. This is

:06:21. > :06:26.his third shot at the 7th. The par-5. That was a beauty. That

:06:27. > :06:36.was actually his second shot. He would tap that in with his third

:06:37. > :06:40.shot. That moved him to 2-under. Let's have a quick look at the

:06:41. > :06:47.leaderboard. We don't have a leaderboard. Let's good commentary.

:06:48. > :06:55.We have highlights from early. -- earlier.

:06:56. > :07:09.I don't know what happened to Lee Westwood's shot on par-3. CHEERING.

:07:10. > :07:18.Louis Oosthuizen with a lovely second shot. Gently taking it down

:07:19. > :07:30.the slope. Yes. There is a great run from Oosthuizen. Thorbjorn Olesen

:07:31. > :07:39.for a bogey. He needs it. He really does need this. He doesn't want to

:07:40. > :07:47.drop two shots. But he has. Oh, he has. It was shabby. Matsuyama with a

:07:48. > :07:59.shake of the shoulders into position. Sweetly done.

:08:00. > :08:16.Here is Bubba Watson. Twice winner of the Masters. He gave that a fair

:08:17. > :08:26.old rattle. Bogeys, bogeys, bogeys, birdies, birdies, birdies. Out in

:08:27. > :08:38.35. Now the 13th. 216 yards today down the hill. Shane Lowry is on a

:08:39. > :08:41.roll. Wonderful golf shot. We have seen him chip in. We have seen him

:08:42. > :08:51.do some lovely stuff. Moving along nicely.

:08:52. > :09:04.Louis Oosthuizen. He looks a bit anxious. No need. That is a fine

:09:05. > :09:09.result. Dustin Johnson had a cod at this green. 350 yards. -- cod. Good

:09:10. > :09:22.play. Sergio Garcia. Second shot at the

:09:23. > :09:54.9th. No 6-over. -- now. Jason Day. Swede shot. -- suite.

:09:55. > :10:05.Thorbjorn Olesen off the pine needles.

:10:06. > :10:18.The ducks having a look. They didn't move. It may have stuck on the back

:10:19. > :10:29.but the chances are slim. The par-5 10th. 591 yards. The players getting

:10:30. > :10:36.their or thereabouts in two. You can just see the cliff face that ball

:10:37. > :10:39.had to come up. Finely judged by Fleetwood. Not easy putting like

:10:40. > :10:48.that when there is at least a four foot rise. Very easy to leave it

:10:49. > :10:54.halfway. The fairways are not like links fairways either. They are

:10:55. > :11:02.quite a lot slower than the greens. It doesn't get there. All the

:11:03. > :11:12.players struggling to make headway this afternoon. Jordan Spieth just

:11:13. > :11:25.one bogey, the rest pars. An outward nine, 36. Dustin Johnson. Well

:11:26. > :11:38.putted. That moves him to 1-under for the Championship. Day for

:11:39. > :11:44.birdie. Just after he got everybody else on to using the funny coloured

:11:45. > :11:55.putters he has gone back to the wide one. He is a trendsetter. We look at

:11:56. > :11:59.Chris Stroud. He rolls one in. Chris Stroud winning last Sunday. He said

:12:00. > :12:07.he decided six months ago not to worry and a more about not having

:12:08. > :12:19.won and suddenly it happened. -- any more.

:12:20. > :12:30.Lovely posture at address. Not great shot. The posture is so important

:12:31. > :12:45.that the start of the swing. Not his best. Not the 13th at Royal Birkdale

:12:46. > :12:51.but not his best. Vijay Singh. Is this what the roar was about? I

:12:52. > :12:57.think it was! I think it was! It looked suspiciously as if he

:12:58. > :13:16.actually drove into the creek. Matsuyama for birdie. That puts him

:13:17. > :13:26.to 4-under. John Daly. Probably no chance of making the cut. A nice

:13:27. > :13:35.three at 18. Halfway round his round. A pretty miserable start.

:13:36. > :13:43.Otherwise he would have have a chance of making the cut. -- half a

:13:44. > :13:51.chance. Jason Day launching that high. When he is in full flow he is

:13:52. > :13:54.really a great player to watch. He has suffered a little bit this year

:13:55. > :14:04.from back troubles. Louis Oosthuizen. He is easing his way

:14:05. > :14:11.through the field. Three birdies in his first eight. He got away with

:14:12. > :14:25.that one. That creek has been very friendly.

:14:26. > :14:32.A stunning arm by Matsuyama. Absolutely stunning. It is

:14:33. > :14:34.interesting if you watch him, there was a significant pause at the top

:14:35. > :14:44.of that swing body doesn't carry that all the way through. If you get

:14:45. > :14:54.some of that in your bag you have got some nice mulch for your roses.

:14:55. > :14:58.I hope it is a loose impediment. He is taking a drop from the path and

:14:59. > :15:00.he is trying to move the loose impediment. It looks like he is just

:15:01. > :15:19.creating chaos. Dave is putting pretty solid so far.

:15:20. > :15:23.He is looking suddenly back to his best, Jason Day. What a finish to

:15:24. > :15:27.the front nine. Eagle, birdie, birdie. Into fourth. Second. Tied

:15:28. > :15:52.second. I got there eventually! He doesn't like that one. Trying to

:15:53. > :16:08.get some cut on it. Hit it straight there. Now after that stunning shot

:16:09. > :16:16.from Matsuyama... This to get within three of Kevin Kisner. And he has

:16:17. > :16:26.done it. He is so impressive, this man. He won two world Championship

:16:27. > :16:34.events this year. He won in Phoenix as well. Shot 61 last Sunday. After

:16:35. > :16:48.the lucky bounce, Louis Oosthuizen. He may get away with a par. Lovely

:16:49. > :16:58.chip. Beautiful action, too. Grayson Murray for a birdie at this narrow

:16:59. > :17:11.5th hole. Finally. He won Dibaba sole Championship the week of the

:17:12. > :17:26.Open. His first PGA Tour win. That was not what he was after. Chris

:17:27. > :17:31.Stroud. Moving along nicely. The Texan has made some good putts. He

:17:32. > :17:38.went to Lamar University in Beaumont, as did I many moons ago.

:17:39. > :17:40.That is incredible, Maureen! You went to university! I will let that

:17:41. > :18:04.pass. This looks harder than the last one.

:18:05. > :18:17.I think he's trying to hit a lower cut with the wedge. Stop there. He

:18:18. > :18:26.plated well. That was such a good effort. It would have been criminal

:18:27. > :18:40.had gone into the bunker. Matsuyama. Spurning the chance of taking this

:18:41. > :18:50.one on. Beautifully positioned. I don't think this will be short,

:18:51. > :18:54.somehow. It is. It is. He didn't quite get the clean contact that he

:18:55. > :19:00.wanted. When you look at him here, he seems fidgety. His brain just

:19:01. > :19:03.looks as if it is going 19 to the dozen. Yet it is in these very

:19:04. > :19:10.situations when he sometimes produces his very best.

:19:11. > :19:19.This is his route from tee to green. He went off to the right, got the

:19:20. > :19:20.number 37 bass up the left, a short taxi ride. He has covered about 800

:19:21. > :19:34.yards. -- boss. That was almost exactly where he was

:19:35. > :19:56.aiming. Jason Day suddenly has found a bit

:19:57. > :20:08.of form. A perfect layup at the 10th. What's the grab he gets. That

:20:09. > :20:14.is just delightful. -- watch. Shallow divot. Just nips it off the

:20:15. > :20:21.top, the ball rises up the club face. Can Matsuyama make his birdie

:20:22. > :20:26.at 14? This is for three in a row to get within two of Kevin Kisner. He

:20:27. > :20:32.has made it. He won last week with a last round of 61. He has worked his

:20:33. > :20:41.way through the field. 5-under today, two off the lead. Three great

:20:42. > :20:48.putts on the last three holes. Jason Day. Another one right into the

:20:49. > :21:00.heart of the cup. Earlier in the week he was saying he

:21:01. > :21:04.can't find that little bit of magic on the greens. But maybe he has

:21:05. > :21:08.found it. That birdie putt Jason may write in

:21:09. > :21:12.the mix. He is three of the lead. Not long after that putt drop, the

:21:13. > :21:17.hooter sounded and play was suspended. I'm delighted to say it

:21:18. > :21:24.is about to resume. The players are ready to get back under way. This is

:21:25. > :21:30.how things stand. Kevin Kisner still out in front. His

:21:31. > :21:33.lead not looking quite so strong. Hideki Matsuyama has been on a

:21:34. > :21:40.birdie charge. And Jason Day just 5-under. That lead shrinking. A few

:21:41. > :21:44.other players going along nicely. Louis Oosthuizen, Shane Lowry, what

:21:45. > :21:53.a great round from him. 5-under today. He is alongside Justin Thomas

:21:54. > :22:00.and Francesco Molinari. Brooks Koepka not having quite the same

:22:01. > :22:06.fortunes. DA Points also dropping the wrong way. Ryan Fox had a

:22:07. > :22:10.fantastic round. He is 1-under par. We will be staying on BBC Two as

:22:11. > :22:15.long as we're getting pictures from the course, which could take us to

:22:16. > :22:19.one o'clock. I hope you are ready for a late night. Let's get out on

:22:20. > :22:20.the course with Ken Brown and Peter Aliss.

:22:21. > :22:42.Thank you. Here we go. Sweet music. Harry James eat your

:22:43. > :22:46.heart out. And they offer. I think they look after players tremendously

:22:47. > :22:51.well now. They give them time to get in, recover and hit balls. It wasn't

:22:52. > :23:02.like that years ago. They stopped and started without any Delle. We

:23:03. > :23:09.got shuttled out a bit quicker. 40 minutes is a long time. Most of them

:23:10. > :23:20.get driven out. Varies Ian Poulter. He is battling to be the weekend. --

:23:21. > :23:28.for the weekend. Matsuyama striding out. It looks like he has got a

:23:29. > :23:46.cheese and pickle sandwich. Cheese and pickle. It is maybe sushi.

:23:47. > :24:01.Good effort from Brooks Koepka. Going along very nicely. The scoring

:24:02. > :24:05.this afternoon has been higher. Jordan Spieth with one of these edgy

:24:06. > :24:13.little chips from this peculiar fluffy grass. Nicely done. I'm not

:24:14. > :24:24.quite sure how the ball is going to come out. Jason Day taking those

:24:25. > :24:35.bunkers on down the left side of the 11. I think that is in the trees.

:24:36. > :24:39.Somewhere down there. Maybe on the other fairway. I don't know, that

:24:40. > :24:59.was a very wild drive. Louis Oosthuizen. A simple swing.

:25:00. > :25:07.Not a very big chap but he does hit the ball a long way. A little bit of

:25:08. > :25:14.good fortune. It clattered the trees and came out. Playing the second

:25:15. > :25:23.hole, Oosthuizen. He started at the 10th. Dustin Johnson and Henrik

:25:24. > :25:34.Stenson playing in this 3-ball. A little 3-wood. A country mile. Just

:25:35. > :25:42.perfection. Nice flight. Gets some run with his 3-wood at times as

:25:43. > :25:48.well. Ideal. Everybody has got a five o'clock shadow. That is the

:25:49. > :26:07.fashion. There are some strange fashions today. Trousers with holes

:26:08. > :26:16.in. Watch this one. Go on. Hello! He didn't quite get it. But I think it

:26:17. > :26:20.may be clear. There used to be a Big Oak Tree on the corner. The put the

:26:21. > :26:28.bunkers there which makes it a bit more challenging. Very nicely done.

:26:29. > :26:34.He got a lot of confidence by winning the US Open. He strikes some

:26:35. > :26:41.John Wayne moves around the course. Jordan Spieth. He had an adventurous

:26:42. > :26:51.couple of holes. He has got work to do. 3-over. No more than 5-over will

:26:52. > :27:04.be the cut. Probably four. That makes it deal could land of a couple

:27:05. > :27:09.of 73s. Very good scoring. As often happens after a storm, the wind

:27:10. > :27:13.seems to have totally disappeared. The trees not moving, the flag

:27:14. > :27:18.wasn't moving. You get the feeling that Thunder not very far away.

:27:19. > :27:24.There is a sniff of thunder in the air. They complain about our

:27:25. > :27:29.weather, which can be steadily grotty at times. But I do believe

:27:30. > :27:33.they have more delays in the United States, primarily because of

:27:34. > :27:37.electrical storms. The danger of lightning. We don't get it all that

:27:38. > :27:48.much in the UK. Here is Brooks Koepka. They are much bigger than my

:27:49. > :27:58.generation. There was one player over six foot when I played, and

:27:59. > :28:15.that was George Archer. A tough fairway to find, this 12. -- 12th.

:28:16. > :28:20.He is well into the woods. Just needed a left-to-right. The fairway

:28:21. > :28:36.guided by trees on both sides. Matsuyama. 240 yards. Hello, hello.

:28:37. > :28:53.It stopped short of the road. That is not too bad. If he has got a

:28:54. > :29:00.reasonable lie. Shane Lowry. His second to the 16th. Down breeze.

:29:01. > :29:05.Much easier than it was yesterday. That is the first one we have seen

:29:06. > :29:19.Degen and come back. We haven't seen many of those. Chris Stroud at the

:29:20. > :29:34.17th. Dangerous par-3s. Water lurking around. Sloping greens.

:29:35. > :29:40.Everything aiming down the left. He is just trying to slide it.

:29:41. > :29:48.Left-to-right. That is how you do it. One of the narrow fairways. Cut

:29:49. > :30:05.aid in half. We have lost a great many

:30:06. > :30:14.spectators. Some brave hearts have stayed on. There has been a

:30:15. > :30:18.tremendous amount of paying customers so far. This is Henrik

:30:19. > :30:23.Stenson after this lovely drive. Straightforward shot, middle of the

:30:24. > :30:35.green, do not bother about the flag. If he goes near the flight, I think

:30:36. > :30:43.it might be accidental. If you do fly it to the pen-macro, a lot of

:30:44. > :30:54.people go to the back of the screen. -- pin. Beautiful shot, it could not

:30:55. > :31:05.have been better. Big shot. All right, all right! Jason the plane at

:31:06. > :31:12.off Duluth pine needles. You have to be careful when you hit it as hard

:31:13. > :31:30.as he does, that your feet do not slip. He seemed to make a good hit

:31:31. > :31:37.at that. Certainly did. Just seemed to nestle down a little bit. This

:31:38. > :31:43.Bermuda rough, is difficult to describe, it is like a deep Brillo

:31:44. > :31:46.pad and the ball sits right. The ball settles into it and you cannot

:31:47. > :31:59.get the club on the back of the ball. The fit -- feet slip in. He

:32:00. > :32:10.has not got the control. Give this a mighty lunge.

:32:11. > :32:17.That one stopped, it should not have done that, but it did. There is

:32:18. > :32:25.still a lot of luck when you hit out of this stuff. Here is Hideki

:32:26. > :32:43.Matsuyama, third shot. Big shelf facing him. He has got a good result

:32:44. > :32:52.there. What a touch! He is your pick. He is playing so well. Just

:32:53. > :32:57.settled into the light rough, second shot at the rough for Louis

:32:58. > :33:02.Oosthuizen. We will see how it reacts. I think that rain, we saw a

:33:03. > :33:07.pitch mark there, there was none before the first part of the day.

:33:08. > :33:16.The Greens have softened up after that shower. Shane Lowry. For a

:33:17. > :33:23.birdie. He read that very well indeed. I thought he was going on

:33:24. > :33:29.safari about halfway down but it suddenly swung right around,

:33:30. > :33:44.beautiful putt. Looking back to the 12th tee, slight dogleg. Jordan

:33:45. > :33:51.Spieth, dead centre of the fairway. Playing at the Eden Project at the

:33:52. > :34:13.moment, not a breath of wind, you can hear a plane going over.

:34:14. > :34:26.The line looks good. That really is good. How unlucky is that? For one

:34:27. > :34:34.moment, it was virtually stone dead and now he is ten or 12 feet away.

:34:35. > :34:43.This is so tricky. Let us just nestle down. It is quite bristly,

:34:44. > :34:55.this sort of grass. The club must keep going, he plays very stiff

:34:56. > :35:03.wristed, not a lot of wrist action. Did he hit it twice? I think he

:35:04. > :35:19.fluffed it. He was not far from hitting it twice. Brooks Koepka.

:35:20. > :35:32.Squirrelling one under the trees, trying to chase it up onto the green

:35:33. > :35:48.and he does not quite do it. 17th and Chris Stroud. Par three. Two

:35:49. > :35:54.bogeys on his card, three bogeys as well, one under for the day, four

:35:55. > :36:02.under on the PGA Championship, there is a look at his card. He has only

:36:03. > :36:15.played eight holes. Some of them may be better for an early start to

:36:16. > :36:20.finish off, which no one wants. They are having greater problems reading

:36:21. > :36:28.the line on these greens. They are obviously influenced by their change

:36:29. > :36:31.in the grass, the texture. Maybe a little movement on this one. Just

:36:32. > :36:52.outside the edge on the left. Went right off the blade. Downhill

:36:53. > :37:03.all the way for Dustin Johnson. Running out. These fellows might get

:37:04. > :37:05.a break, the Greens are softer and smoother with a bit of moisture on

:37:06. > :37:19.them. Hideki Matsuyama for a birdie after

:37:20. > :37:34.that splendid little pitch on the side of the green. In she goes,

:37:35. > :37:44.another birdie! Four in a row. Just one behind, he is tiptoeing up the

:37:45. > :37:47.leaderboard. He has holed some super putts. This sort of range today,

:37:48. > :37:57.this will keep the momentum of his round going. Eagle at seven, birdie

:37:58. > :38:16.at eight, this is for a par. That is not dead, either.

:38:17. > :38:27.This year he slept from world number 12 ranked seven, Jason Day. Brooks

:38:28. > :38:33.Koepka, third shot, over the valley. Coming in, if it runs, it is not

:38:34. > :38:49.going to. APPLAUSE.

:38:50. > :38:59.Up to the 17, Shane Lowry, has he pushed it a little? Be lucky. That

:39:00. > :39:15.was not lucky. Oh my goodness! That is like Alcatraz. Looked horrible.

:39:16. > :39:35.Seems disturbed, maybe someone put him off? The gnats are out.

:39:36. > :39:51.Fidgets about a little bit. Interesting putts style. Wastes no

:39:52. > :40:02.time once he has made his decision, it does not hit many dribblers.

:40:03. > :40:11.Beautiful. That was the perfect birdie, glorious iron. Perfectly

:40:12. > :40:19.placed on the putt, wasn't it? Two over now. It is going to be

:40:20. > :40:29.enjoyable to see what he can do over at the closing holes that he plays.

:40:30. > :40:35.I think he fancies his chances. Kevin Kisner leads by one. Hideki

:40:36. > :40:39.Matsuyama is on the charge. He made four birdies in a row. Shane Lowry

:40:40. > :40:58.was struggling a little bit at the 17th. Zach Johnson. He is on the

:40:59. > :41:20.ninth. He is one under. All my! Two tee start. -- Oh my! A perfect read.

:41:21. > :41:33.Going along quite steadily. He hardly touched that, but it is

:41:34. > :41:36.swinging across the hole. Gosh! The tall figure of Chris Wood. Currently

:41:37. > :41:58.at three over par. Not a bad spot. Chipping in from the

:41:59. > :41:59.same angle as Hideki Matsuyama was. Par five there for two. Keegan

:42:00. > :42:16.Bradley. Since he has turned from the long

:42:17. > :42:17.putter that he used to anchor it, he has never been quite the same on the

:42:18. > :42:37.green. He does not putt too badly. Going along nicely, still well in

:42:38. > :42:53.the hunt, a lot of golf yet to be played. The Austrian, showing a lot

:42:54. > :43:02.of promise. Bernd Wiesberger, there. Charlie? Is a Charlie? Yes! Since he

:43:03. > :43:16.cut his hair, I don't recognise him. He used to look like Goldilocks.

:43:17. > :43:25.Charlie! Lives in Las Vegas. Brooks Koepka. Nicely done. Downhill,

:43:26. > :43:32.slightly breaking from left to right, not easy. Wriggles out with a

:43:33. > :43:38.par. Had a few crooked tee shots today. Hideki Matsuyama, slowly

:43:39. > :43:45.backward timing. Timing is everything with that swing, it's it

:43:46. > :43:52.hard, got a bit ahead of himself, pushed it, did that a couple of

:43:53. > :43:55.times. Hello! If that hit on top, it might be in the pavilion, that would

:43:56. > :44:07.be interesting -- inside the pavilion. Setting up for our draw

:44:08. > :44:14.this time. With a five iron. That is a mighty this with a five iron. Just

:44:15. > :44:26.closing the club face, closing to the back pin. Very nice. That is

:44:27. > :44:45.speeding off the green. That is indecent! Sometimes you find a

:44:46. > :44:50.divet. Do not like this. Sit down! Oh no! Hold onto your hats. Not in

:44:51. > :45:02.the water, not in the water! Good golly, Miss Molly.

:45:03. > :45:14.Look at that! 113 feet in the air, does not mean much to me, but that

:45:15. > :45:18.is quite high. The rain has soaked the chorus. It has certainly taken

:45:19. > :45:46.the sting out of the fairways and the Greens. Jason day. That is a

:45:47. > :45:53.fruity hit. Over there, big hit. This 17th hole. There have been nine

:45:54. > :45:57.double bogeys so far today and looks like Shane will have another one.

:45:58. > :46:05.This will be his for it. This is terribly pleasant. -- this is not

:46:06. > :46:16.terribly pleasant. That one shot could put him out of this

:46:17. > :46:19.Championship. He should be OK, even if he takes five or six. Not good

:46:20. > :46:30.news. I know, yeah. Are you happy with

:46:31. > :47:02.this? Not very inviting, with the flag so

:47:03. > :47:06.close to the front. If you tried to be too cheeky, you could put it into

:47:07. > :47:20.the water again. Without any problem. I think he is still

:47:21. > :47:31.weighing up his options. Make sure you have it in your mind. Dustin

:47:32. > :47:45.Johnson, his ball landed very softly, might have a little bit of

:47:46. > :47:53.mud on it. 456 yards and he is flicking a little half wedge of some

:47:54. > :47:58.sort in there. The fellow wandering about at the back of the green,

:47:59. > :48:13.looking for his lost love. He has stopped now, he has found her. This

:48:14. > :48:23.is fairly straightforward. Weekly played. When he played it, you saw a

:48:24. > :48:32.splash of water. You could see a few divets. I wonder how Shane Lowry is

:48:33. > :48:49.getting on? Here he is. 105 yards, 110. Draw it back. It is brilliant.

:48:50. > :48:53.Steady! Steady! Unlucky again. Not a bad angle to putt from. I love

:48:54. > :48:59.watching him play these shots. Jordan Spieth. What will he do? Nice

:49:00. > :49:08.lie on the upshot. Not terribly inviting. Pinch it away. Another

:49:09. > :49:14.splash of water. Super shot. A little jab. A few bounces and the

:49:15. > :49:22.spin takes over if you are lucky and it ends up very close. Hello, head

:49:23. > :49:32.Dyke -- Hideki Matsuyama has decided his studs can stand at Veldt. Would

:49:33. > :49:40.you keep quiet pleas in the champagne bar? They are all full of

:49:41. > :49:45.giggle juice! The giggle juice has taken over. It does not look

:49:46. > :50:08.inviting. He made good contact. Unlucky. It

:50:09. > :50:21.spun back in his hand, that would be awkward. So nearly a good run. Bad

:50:22. > :50:26.tee shot. When you're coming out of the rough, the best way to stop it

:50:27. > :50:37.is with trajectory and that is very high. Another birdie chance for

:50:38. > :50:51.Jason Day. Louis Oosthuizen. Four wonder. -- four under. That is it.

:50:52. > :50:53.That little right-hand grip, now slowly back tap it through. It went

:50:54. > :51:22.the other way. Look at it go! Gosh! Par at 330. Can Brooks Koepka save

:51:23. > :51:31.another one? He has done a lot of scrambling. Not quite as good as he

:51:32. > :51:38.was yesterday. Interesting swing, Chris Stroud. He makes it work.

:51:39. > :51:50.Successful run. Well, is that good or is that bad? Don't know, not bad,

:51:51. > :52:00.I suppose. All thing by numbers! It looks like the technique of Lesley

:52:01. > :52:06.keen, there. -- Lesley King. Look at their hole. Pop it in. Super. I

:52:07. > :52:11.little unlucky with his tee shot to get dried off the green, so after

:52:12. > :52:30.the break he starts back 3-3. Shane Lowry. For a five. It is a six. He

:52:31. > :52:44.goes to one over. Looks very pleasant. I wish I had my fly rod. I

:52:45. > :52:51.think these delayed afternoon play may be an advantage, not much of a

:52:52. > :53:11.breeze about. Lee Westwood, two over. High flyer, right at the

:53:12. > :53:19.target, it just wonders off a bit. Nice to see Paul Casey, level par.

:53:20. > :53:30.They put the tee up on 14. It is for an eagle, it is running out. Played

:53:31. > :53:53.some marvellous goal. Steady, steady really does flush the ball. Dylan

:53:54. > :53:57.Frittelli, one over. Fine shot. It is a different course after that

:53:58. > :54:11.rain, amazing. It has really softened up. Where is James playing

:54:12. > :54:24.from? How did he get here? He is flipping it over the little stream.

:54:25. > :54:29.16, 17, 18 are called the Green mile, tough finishing stretch. Tommy

:54:30. > :54:46.Fleetwood, two over. Good chip and a putt here.

:54:47. > :55:03.Bold shot. Green cleared in front. You can see the left white bunker,

:55:04. > :55:09.all the way down the left. 289 yards. Small target, Rory hit it

:55:10. > :55:29.into the water yesterday. That is a dangerous putt -- hole.

:55:30. > :55:35.He is obviously concerned about this one. Just getting a mental picture,

:55:36. > :55:40.is he going to play left to right? It looks like it. Just hold it. He

:55:41. > :56:28.is still not happy. Not happy. Sit down, softly. He pushed it. That

:56:29. > :56:34.is awkward, awkward, awkward. Look at that, no room to pitch. Water on

:56:35. > :56:49.the other side. Settle for a four now. Charl Schwartzel. Five over. He

:56:50. > :56:53.is five over, now he is four over. The cut has just moved up

:56:54. > :57:00.momentarily to five over. Charl Schwartzel is back to three. There

:57:01. > :57:12.will be a lot of toing and froing in the next hour. It was easy, wasn't

:57:13. > :57:27.it? A couple inside. Justin Thomas. What a talent he is. He is starting

:57:28. > :57:34.to perform, currently three under. Hideki Matsuyama, screwed back off

:57:35. > :57:40.the green, third shot at the 16th. What a shot. That was exquisite.

:57:41. > :57:56.That might well be my shot of the day. Exquisite touch. Dustin

:57:57. > :58:00.Johnson. Long iron. Get in! On line survey. I don't know how much rain

:58:01. > :58:09.there was, but the chorus has got incredibly soft. Virtually changed

:58:10. > :58:21.in an hour and a half -- the course has got incredibly soft. Louis

:58:22. > :58:31.Oosthuizen. Just a seven iron for this 187 yards. They are knocking it

:58:32. > :58:37.at the pin now. That was a lovely shot, a delightful player to watch.

:58:38. > :58:41.A lot of those South Africans have beautifully simple swings, I don't

:58:42. > :58:55.know where they get them from. From their mothers, I think. You could be

:58:56. > :59:01.right. Jason Day. Did not care for it all that much. Why not? It is all

:59:02. > :59:16.right. You have hurt -- hit plenty worse than that, Jason. Chris

:59:17. > :59:19.Stroud. Flipping it over, very little rest, just an arm movement.

:59:20. > :59:44.Nicely done. I don't know if he is just knocking

:59:45. > :59:51.this up over the green. 289 yards. Yes, he is. It is getting better. A

:59:52. > :00:09.better line in now. Justin Thomas, after screwing away

:00:10. > :00:18.from the whole, this is to move to four. -- hole. 5-under for his round

:00:19. > :00:36.today. A very interesting putting style. Well done. I still think the

:00:37. > :00:47.putt should be the shortest club in the bag. -- putter. We saw Danny

:00:48. > :00:55.Willett a bit earlier, he wasn't doing too Baddeley. I don't know how

:00:56. > :01:07.he's gotten to Sussex all of a sudden, he needs a birdie. He made

:01:08. > :01:21.double-bogey at the third, that is how he got in this situation.

:01:22. > :01:44.16 players under-par. It is amazing the different styles you see when

:01:45. > :01:52.the players putt. Keeping the stroke smooth, sending the ball running

:01:53. > :02:01.smoothly. A game within a game. Look at all of the various putting

:02:02. > :02:27.groups. It is all about taking the risk out of it. -- grips. He got

:02:28. > :02:34.that up and forward very well. That looked very impressive. A good shot.

:02:35. > :02:52.Chris Wood for a birdie. Going along nicely. Only coming to the end of

:02:53. > :02:57.his round, coming to the end of his over. I think you might be spending

:02:58. > :03:03.a bit more time on the European Tour next year. Still got his house at

:03:04. > :03:07.Wentworth. It would be nice to see him competing in European

:03:08. > :03:15.tournaments. A great supporter of golf around the world. A couple of

:03:16. > :03:26.years to Senior golf for Ernie. Incredible. Amazing how players like

:03:27. > :03:35.Ernie, they can struggle on the main Tour but get a real lease of life

:03:36. > :03:58.later on. These shots are tougher with the rain. Jason Day. It's his

:03:59. > :04:08.second shot. It would be a birdie. And it is! You stand up and think, I

:04:09. > :04:16.hope I can get that one in. Striking a nicely. Honing in on the target.

:04:17. > :04:23.He says, of course I meant to do it. Have another look at this. Nearly a

:04:24. > :04:37.cricket pitch length. Turning around beautifully. The locals go berserk.

:04:38. > :04:46.They love it. They've done well to hang around in any sort of numbers,

:04:47. > :04:53.the locals. Interesting choice of shot, not even attempting to play it

:04:54. > :05:10.to the flag. Got it under the green. Extending it if -- it. If that had

:05:11. > :05:20.been out Augusta, that would have been in the water. Mighty

:05:21. > :05:29.impressive. Everything's Kintyre, solidly hit. Exquisite. Looks

:05:30. > :05:46.fantastic, as though he is on his way to be world number one. --

:05:47. > :05:54.Everything's perfect. Jordan Spieth, playing his third shot on the short

:05:55. > :06:15.par four. Getting out of this with an adventurous par. His third after

:06:16. > :06:26.duffing a little pitch. I will be going to make bogey. Despite having

:06:27. > :06:37.to play sideways, Jordan Spieth may still beat him. That is why he is so

:06:38. > :06:54.good. Dustin Johnson, he just didn't keep it left firing off. Maybe a

:06:55. > :07:02.par. Danny Willett, tapping in. That was a birdie, I think. Moving to

:07:03. > :07:19.plus five. I think that is smack on the cut line. Koepka's woes

:07:20. > :07:45.continue. Having shots from everywhere. Those shots can just

:07:46. > :07:52.drift away. Caused by that mishit pitch. Spieth has been giving this a

:07:53. > :07:56.lot of attention. There were certain shots where you get the feeling he's

:07:57. > :08:19.not really happy with it. He's what to think, move, get the visuals --

:08:20. > :08:30.got to. Will be his bad -- probably his bad length. A pretty tactical

:08:31. > :08:42.play. It looked innocuous enough, but it is the situation where many

:08:43. > :09:09.of us would not bother at all. Little cushion, come along. This for

:09:10. > :09:23.a bogey. A very driveable par four. Only a 3-wood. Wishes he had gone

:09:24. > :09:29.for it now. Oh dear. Well, they're's hitting the ball, and their's

:09:30. > :09:45.learning to play. It is much more difficult than you think -- there's.

:09:46. > :09:51.A couple of wayward tee shots today. A good percentage, 57%. Not shabby

:09:52. > :10:30.at all. I don't know where it ranks on Tour, but it sounds impressive.

:10:31. > :10:39.-- tour. An impressive lead. A lot of players choosing to play irons on

:10:40. > :10:45.this driveable hole. The pin position is so tight, anything

:10:46. > :11:03.bailed out doesn't give you much of a chance. Justin Thomas, second to

:11:04. > :11:14.the 16th. We have not seen many shorts do that. Spinning back too

:11:15. > :11:21.far. Dustin Johnson playing up to the front of the green. He didn't

:11:22. > :11:41.bounce at all. Still a bit of luck involved. Jordan Spieth, birdie

:11:42. > :11:53.chance here. Two of his best, I think. Left it a bit right. Saved

:11:54. > :12:05.him, soft enough to keep that out of the bunkers. As sunset draws near,

:12:06. > :12:44.we have about one hour. Look at that lack. A monster putt at the 11th --

:12:45. > :13:06.lake. It didn't fall in, did it? What a bonus. Still giving it full

:13:07. > :13:24.attention even at plus ten. It is a week he will probably want to

:13:25. > :13:42.forget. A three-time Major champion. A few coming thick and fast now, why

:13:43. > :13:54.did someone say it is to the right when it is up the left? Beyond my

:13:55. > :14:01.comprehension really. An interesting comparison of legs here, Andy's are

:14:02. > :14:12.almost totally straight. Look at the position of it. Weird. 17, not bad.

:14:13. > :14:23.Not on the green, but... This looks like Master Bradley, faffing. A shot

:14:24. > :14:32.at the 17th, front bunker. That's a little beauty. A good shot. He has

:14:33. > :14:45.improved a lot, they used to cut him off about halfway through his shots.

:14:46. > :14:56.Tommy Fleetwood having the best of days, is he? Three sixes on this

:14:57. > :15:04.back nine. What on earth happened here? When you swing slowly as he

:15:05. > :15:10.does and he did that hard, timing is all important. Just getting a little

:15:11. > :15:22.bit out of sync. Got away with it. Found the fairway, it may be very

:15:23. > :15:33.short. Jordan Spieth, can he reach from here? It's a pretty fair

:15:34. > :15:47.distance. Actually, that might ball may well have done him some favours.

:15:48. > :15:49.-- mud. We are staying on a little later, so we will have a film

:15:50. > :16:06.following the golf due to rain. Justin Thomas, another shot with a

:16:07. > :16:28.huge amount of spin. We are not sure if it is for par. It was a huge

:16:29. > :16:37.drive. It was par. A good clip. A slightly agricultural swing. Did you

:16:38. > :16:53.call this golf by Numbers? Every angle looks different. Thomas, a

:16:54. > :17:02.little rest flick. Doing his best to come down -- wrist. The idea was

:17:03. > :17:09.good. I like the way he trimmed his beard under his chin, that must have

:17:10. > :17:13.taken hours of precision work with the sharpest blade in the shot. Do

:17:14. > :17:23.you think he spends longer shaving now than he did before he had a

:17:24. > :17:32.beard? I do. Still in the hunt, it could come around. No, it's died in

:17:33. > :17:46.the back. Some of these holes remind me of Jack Nicklaus' golf village.

:17:47. > :17:51.Jason Day totally misread that. It is well to the right as he played.

:17:52. > :18:00.Certainly making sure he didn't do that. A fiendish pin position. A few

:18:01. > :18:15.more of those, they have been relatively generous. He's misread it

:18:16. > :18:38.as well. You get to the stage where, if you get a run of piles, you will

:18:39. > :18:48.more than satisfied. -- pars -- you are. Chris is one of many

:18:49. > :18:55.extraordinary putters. He puts the shaft, I don't know if it is rested,

:18:56. > :19:04.pushed into his chest. Up to the elbow, holding it against his

:19:05. > :19:10.forearm. The fickle finger of fate. Giving it a little tap. In she goes.

:19:11. > :19:25.They will be trying this on the weekend. Not that easy for amateurs.

:19:26. > :19:33.You have to get a club that is the right length. To get all those

:19:34. > :19:41.things done, you have to get a cost of from a tournament. That one has

:19:42. > :19:51.gone too quickly. I think that is why we didn't have many amateurs

:19:52. > :19:58.playing with long shafted putters. Many pros, for a period, until they

:19:59. > :20:13.were banned, tended to use them. The pros play on such fast greens, come

:20:14. > :20:24.pledged to make -- compared to club greens. Matsuyama, the man of the

:20:25. > :20:32.moment. If you have tuned in to see the film First Snow, it will be

:20:33. > :20:34.coming later than build due to earlier bad weather. It will follow

:20:35. > :20:48.the golf. Dustin Johnson for a birdie. A

:20:49. > :20:56.little dribble down the right. Not enough. Very frustrating to get a

:20:57. > :21:08.whole where you can nearly knock it on with a 3-iron. The Sun's out,

:21:09. > :21:17.good news for a lot of players. I hope it stays that way. The guys at

:21:18. > :21:31.the back of the field have got eight holes to play. Even in fast money,

:21:32. > :21:41.that's around 30 minutes. -- sun's. There is no sense of urgency with

:21:42. > :22:13.the pros, early in the morning. They just don't get on with it. Duty. --

:22:14. > :22:22.beauty. The sun is going down behind the hospitality tents. Players

:22:23. > :22:32.making a lot of birdies. Got to get this one. Well done. 3-over. A

:22:33. > :22:57.little cushion. Just keep going, Tommy. Hudson sounds like an old

:22:58. > :23:14.Shakespearean Actor. -- actor. Look at that. Casey, level par for the

:23:15. > :23:37.day. Birdies at 14 and 15. A lovely bounce,, catching that little more

:23:38. > :23:43.-- bounce, catching that little knob. That was Sergio, he has had

:23:44. > :23:57.all sorts of trouble today. 9-over par. Unless something dramatic

:23:58. > :24:12.happens, that's not going to make it. Safely inside the cut line, a

:24:13. > :24:31.birdie. Brightening up the scorecard a bit. Trying to get one of them

:24:32. > :24:54.back. That's a really bad shot. 5-over, can't afford any mistakes.

:24:55. > :25:05.Keep turning. That's not far away. 317 to the far bunker. Absolutely

:25:06. > :25:30.perfect, I think. Miles up as well. No problems. 322 yard carry. Just

:25:31. > :25:56.again, not quite enough power. Johnson trying to match it, a bit

:25:57. > :26:06.weak. He thought he got it, he thought that was going to be wide.

:26:07. > :26:21.It nearly came around. Tommy Fleetwood moved to 17. Not doing

:26:22. > :26:44.better on this course. Perfect. That right arm through impact. Balanced,

:26:45. > :27:02.short finish. Mollinari at one end. Someone somewhat taken aback by the

:27:03. > :27:09.changing fortunes. -- taken aback. You wouldn't think it would be

:27:10. > :27:13.Mollinari's sort of course, generally it is the big hitters who

:27:14. > :27:41.are surviving very well. Especially in this rain. Forecast to get a

:27:42. > :28:05.little dodgy tomorrow. 511 yards on the par four. The bunker is easily

:28:06. > :28:08.carry a ball. Borderline for Jordan Spieth -- carriable. Just gone to

:28:09. > :28:46.the left of it. Another fine shot, playing a really

:28:47. > :28:57.good round of golf. Goes well with his 68 from yesterday. Struggling to

:28:58. > :29:07.see the ball. Certainly getting a little dark. The sun is setting.

:29:08. > :29:13.Little collection areas there. It has completely changed since the

:29:14. > :29:24.rain. The ball spinning back. We have seen a lot of that. Hitting

:29:25. > :29:46.wedges harder than anyone else. Zooming all over the place. The

:29:47. > :29:52.bottom right corner, projected cut. I wondered why they went scampering

:29:53. > :30:14.for the course. Matsuyama, left to right. What a round he has had

:30:15. > :30:24.today. Took a bash at it, wasn't going to miss it low. Overborrowed.

:30:25. > :30:49.Helped it up the hill a little bit. This one for a birdie. Not much

:30:50. > :30:56.green to work with, that was beautifully played. Crisply hit off

:30:57. > :31:09.the turf. The players walking through, a little bit soft. This is

:31:10. > :31:13.for a birdie at 16. Well done. Getting two minus three. Three

:31:14. > :31:24.birdies in a row. Getting an award for assistance. Walked a few holes

:31:25. > :31:28.in the Championship, he was absolutely flushing every shot. One

:31:29. > :31:41.of those players who can absolutely hit it so well. Down the left side

:31:42. > :31:56.at the par five. He can find his way onto the green easily. Shot straight

:31:57. > :32:19.right to start with. Maybe just a slight mishit. This 464. Sharing the

:32:20. > :32:22.lead. -- for 64. A great round for Matsuyama. As solid as you could

:32:23. > :32:38.wish for. What a fantastic around from

:32:39. > :32:44.Matsuyama, the world number three. He started the day 1-under par and

:32:45. > :32:49.is now joint leader. Look at that stretch on the back nine. Five

:32:50. > :32:59.birdies in six holes. This is how he did it. First, the fifth hole. Got

:33:00. > :33:06.him to 2-under par. The seventh hole, he gave himself another birdie

:33:07. > :33:14.chance. He didn't miss that one, his parter was on fire. He made the turn

:33:15. > :33:24.at 3-under for the Championship -- putter. On the 12th, another birdie.

:33:25. > :33:37.4-under par. On a roll, tee shot at the next hole. Par-3 13th. Taking a

:33:38. > :33:42.good look at it. That is the high-end play we have seen from him,

:33:43. > :33:55.giving himself another birdie, which he converted. To the 14th, 289

:33:56. > :34:02.yards. Another birdie opportunity. He has not missed these all day.

:34:03. > :34:13.That one also dropped. Three birdies on the bounce. 6-under par. The 15th

:34:14. > :34:20.followed, a par five. An approach from a tricky position, not the best

:34:21. > :34:26.footing. But he has a lovely touch and that was just perfection.

:34:27. > :34:34.Tapping in for birdie number six of the day. He is now just one shot off

:34:35. > :34:41.the lead. 16, he found a bit of trouble. A bunker with the second

:34:42. > :34:50.shot. This is his third. Scrambling up-and-down for par. To the final

:34:51. > :34:56.par-3 on the course, the 17th. Not a whole that gives up many birdies.

:34:57. > :35:13.Putt of the infamous Green mile -- hole. -- putt -- green. Time to get

:35:14. > :35:28.back out there. Thank you, Hayley. Lee Westwood on

:35:29. > :35:41.the 13th. How is he going to play this? Not terribly inviting? Lovely.

:35:42. > :35:55.Of the downslope. Lovely, he did din of the front line, that was a

:35:56. > :36:15.beauty. -- off -- he chipped in off the front line. Did you notice when

:36:16. > :36:20.he looked at the whole he twisted his head, rather than turning it? He

:36:21. > :37:03.may have a neck injury. On eight, six from the right. A very

:37:04. > :37:23.difficult flight to get. Hitting it wayward, the 8-iron. In the evening,

:37:24. > :37:36.quarter to eight. The players might be a bit thirsty. A delightful

:37:37. > :37:50.little pitch from Mollinari. This is not easy. That is on the downslope.

:37:51. > :37:56.It is one of those shots you either get just right, or you don't. Very

:37:57. > :38:12.good at this parachute shot these days. Didn't get a lot of spin on

:38:13. > :38:22.it. Well played. A lot further back than they were today earlier for

:38:23. > :38:34.Spieth. Trying to cut it in. A quality iron shot. Missing on the

:38:35. > :39:01.right, very tricky. Another birdie par. Moving to 6-under. What a

:39:02. > :39:07.performance. Two putt for Garcia. Looking a bit anxious, no need to

:39:08. > :39:15.be. Looking at the stats on the US Tour, he holds less putts over 25

:39:16. > :39:31.feet anybody else. That's hard to believe. But someone has to be last.

:39:32. > :39:39.That one was easy for you to say, you were always in the top ten when

:39:40. > :39:45.you were on tour. I am glad I didn't come crying to you about putting.

:39:46. > :39:58.That sounded like a nice, crisp strike. Tee shot at the fourth.

:39:59. > :40:21.Scott round. -- Brown. Sixth on the US Tour a few years ago. 34.

:40:22. > :40:33.Beautifully played. Carving out a pretty decent career for himself.

:40:34. > :40:55.18th green. He finished second in the Championship last year,

:40:56. > :41:20.Summerhays. Summerhays is 1-over. Chris Wood 1-over. Not a bad angle

:41:21. > :41:30.to putt it, more up the slope, a turn from the right. Dave Stockton

:41:31. > :41:38.style. He has had quite a comeback today. A bogey on the first, five

:41:39. > :41:41.birdies since then. Best finish this year of Kent. He has struggled a bit

:41:42. > :42:00.this year. -- tenth. Another chance for birdie.

:42:01. > :42:25.15th. Jason Day. Oh! As soon as he struck it he was looking in hope.

:42:26. > :42:38.Very square, this putter. Straight in for Jordan Spieth. Stays plus

:42:39. > :42:45.two. Sort of waiting for things to happen but they don't want to.

:42:46. > :43:03.Looking quite confident and putting very nicely, with his claw-type

:43:04. > :43:15.grip. 5-under. So consistent from Green. Much further than yesterday

:43:16. > :43:27.afternoon. That was a 60 yard at the 18th.

:43:28. > :43:41.Inside the copper line all of a sudden. Keegan Bradley. He has had

:43:42. > :43:49.about 18 waggles and four step-offs away from his routine. Easier on the

:43:50. > :43:54.nerves. I think the players will be keen to carry on. Very nice

:43:55. > :44:03.conditions out there. Not much breeze, softer greens. If they have

:44:04. > :44:09.to come back at 7:30 the ones who make it are going to be a course of

:44:10. > :44:18.the whole day. 10- 12 hours, we don't want that. Redraw and then

:44:19. > :44:26.possibly a two tee start. Not necessarily, depends how many

:44:27. > :44:27.players. A couple of 72s for Wood. Summerhayes going through his

:44:28. > :44:34.routine. Is the nephew of Bruce Summerhayes?

:44:35. > :45:02.He played the champions Tour. Shove the clubs in the locker, back

:45:03. > :45:09.to the hotel and a nice hot bath, cheeseburger and chips. Hoffman. On

:45:10. > :45:33.the Cup line and plus five, for a birdie. It looked it to me. Sets it

:45:34. > :45:43.up nicely. He has just turned it a fraction. Coming down so softly.

:45:44. > :45:54.Carrie said two more yards, hits the downslope and then get it past the

:45:55. > :46:04.flag. -- carries it. 320 yards to clear the bunker. Tee up a little

:46:05. > :46:11.bit, so probably 310. I don't think it will hold back on this one. He

:46:12. > :46:25.has been hitting it enormous distances. Oh, yeah, straight over.

:46:26. > :46:40.Quite happy about it. Got over the bunker.

:46:41. > :46:50.I think he likes this. Oh! Well, just tipped over the water. Probably

:46:51. > :47:14.the limit for him. Still at plus five for the day. This

:47:15. > :47:16.is him at the sixth. A shout of four. That's miles right. What a

:47:17. > :47:22.difference a day can make. Henrik Stenson. 15th. He is sticking

:47:23. > :47:58.in there. Sun Kang. Ninth. He has done some

:47:59. > :48:00.good stuff this year on the US Tour. Making his way in the world of golf.

:48:01. > :48:27.Very impressive year so far. This is a ticklish one. My goodness.

:48:28. > :48:33.That had a lot of flair. A 5-wood or 3-wood. A lot of feel and swivel.

:48:34. > :48:46.Superb. I think it impressed himself! Stroud played that pretty

:48:47. > :48:48.well. Just ran out of steam, but pretty impressive. That sort of shot

:48:49. > :49:11.with a 7-iron, he had a bit of spin. 216 yards on the 13th. We got all

:49:12. > :49:20.the details, spin rates and so on. Very nicely done. 216 Yazidi is

:49:21. > :49:22.today on the 13th. -- yards it is. The greens have softened a little.

:49:23. > :49:37.It makes a difference. He was coming back to form a couple

:49:38. > :49:40.of weeks ago but it has just drifted away from him again. A frustrating

:49:41. > :49:47.year. Verging on getting things back together. Just turned the other way.

:49:48. > :50:14.I think he expected it to keep turning from left to right. Just

:50:15. > :50:24.stalled a little. A very unusual style birdie on the first and the

:50:25. > :50:28.second. Currently 6-under. We look across the pond to the 17th. Jordan

:50:29. > :50:36.Spieth with an uphill chance for a birdie.

:50:37. > :50:53.He has left himself a little knocker. Jason Day to the 16th

:50:54. > :50:55.green. Tight pin right. He is not messing with the bunker and that's

:50:56. > :51:15.pretty well played. Caddy and coach. End of the day,

:51:16. > :51:26.this is a little tricky. A little movement on it. The green's a bit

:51:27. > :51:41.patchy. Doesn't matter to Jordan Spieth.

:51:42. > :51:48.Oosthuizen, after that punchy wood from the right rough. Not quite far

:51:49. > :51:56.enough. Needed it to go another 18 inches or so. By the sound of it it

:51:57. > :52:17.wasn't quite what we anticipated. This for a 63. Oh...

:52:18. > :52:46.Stroud. Just to drop the one stroke. The slippery slighty -- slidey one.

:52:47. > :53:19.Oosthuizen for his birdie on the seventh. No, just went away right.

:53:20. > :53:23.Quickly to the 18th. Justin Thomas having a dart at his birdie chance.

:53:24. > :53:36.A couple of moments ago, this one down the hill. For 139. He's made it

:53:37. > :53:43.- nicely done. Powerful hitter of the ball. Not the biggest fellow in

:53:44. > :53:59.the world. It's all over for another day, Justin. For a 64, the low round

:54:00. > :54:06.of the week by Matsuyama. Molinari - well played. Blemish free round.

:54:07. > :54:14.Eagle and five birdies. Right in there in this Championship.

:54:15. > :54:30.I wonder if he can read this putt. Day, a chance for a three. He's had

:54:31. > :54:35.some real good ones, especially in the latter part of the round. A good

:54:36. > :54:47.effort. Qeenslander. Lives in Dublin. -- Queenslander. Two holes

:54:48. > :54:52.to play. He'll get those finished. We will have to appear at an ungodly

:54:53. > :54:59.hour tomorrow morning. It's a long day. You've got to just keep

:55:00. > :55:06.concentrating. So easy to let the concentration lapse on a silly shot.

:55:07. > :55:14.Dustin Johnson. That's never going to move much. Really struggling to

:55:15. > :55:25.make headway today, Dustin. They are determined to get finish.

:55:26. > :55:30.What you've got to do in this situation is get one of your three

:55:31. > :55:36.to tee off on the last hole as quickly as possible. Amazing what

:55:37. > :55:40.you can do to speed up play. If you want to go feisty town. I'm not sure

:55:41. > :55:52.that guy on the right is very comfortable doing it. -- go faster

:55:53. > :56:07.you can. He wouldn't catch you as you ran away from him. It looks like

:56:08. > :56:15.he is bunker bound. Cleared it. Amazing. The 310 carrier no longer

:56:16. > :56:28.has it. You have to put another little one in. You need a vast

:56:29. > :56:34.expanse of white. There is probably none better in the world at driving

:56:35. > :56:39.the ball than Sergio Garcia. A lower launch, high spin, squeezes them

:56:40. > :56:46.out, generally very accurate and pretty long.

:56:47. > :56:52.Here's a wonderful drive. Almost certain to go sideways now. I think

:56:53. > :57:11.it likes it. -- -- he. I'm not sure how long we will be

:57:12. > :57:19.staying on this coverage. Pictures from the broadcaster in the States.

:57:20. > :57:25.The few production problems. Don't blame Ken and me.

:57:26. > :57:33.We will probably be staying on to see Jordan Spieth and his group

:57:34. > :57:40.finish. Then the host broadcaster will probably pull the plug.

:57:41. > :57:55.Apologies if that happens. It's not our doing, he cried. Oh, right in

:57:56. > :58:00.the bunker for Spieth. He is looking up there as if he is not sure if

:58:01. > :58:09.it's in the sand. It looks like it went in. This is the short 8th. Can

:58:10. > :58:20.we get it on there? Much softer than this morning. Beautifully played. A

:58:21. > :58:27.lovely soft swing. No hurry. Where is he going, for heaven's sake?

:58:28. > :58:49.There didn't appear to be any slope there. Good grief! Not such a good

:58:50. > :58:54.shot now, Acra -- is it? Most people are drawn to it, but he is sliding a

:58:55. > :59:04.little bit from left to right. A couple of hole huggers. You can see

:59:05. > :59:08.people looking. The light is obviously a lot dimmer than it looks

:59:09. > :59:13.to us. The TV cameras do make it seem brighter. They used to let

:59:14. > :59:19.players just carry on when they wanted, but you get some groups that

:59:20. > :59:23.have dummies, who will just play unto it is utterly dark so they can

:59:24. > :59:34.fly home on Sunday night -- have done this. Others stop when they

:59:35. > :59:40.feel it is too dark. We might not see the other group racing towards

:59:41. > :59:46.the ninth tee. This is like a meditation. Jonny Wilkinson style

:59:47. > :59:55.approach. 8-iron, plenty of club for him. When the club hits speed.

:59:56. > :00:10.Oh, no. That will be too far right. It is tricky from there, but sort of

:00:11. > :00:14.manageable. A big bank to go up, then the green runs away from you.

:00:15. > :00:25.We've seen a lot of people there. It is quite a wide eight. Oosthuizen

:00:26. > :00:33.was racing towards the ninth tee. He hasn't got it hole side.

:00:34. > :00:51.Do you see the other one in that group, Ken? He is another one in the

:00:52. > :01:01.group, Danny Willett. What score is he on? Nine. All he has to do is

:01:02. > :01:12.wedge it. Got to think outside the box. What are my strength as a

:01:13. > :01:21.golfer? Quite often used to do that on a Friday.

:01:22. > :01:39.Paul Casey, with a good shirt for night golf. He has avoided doing the

:01:40. > :01:43.European Tour for the last few years. He concentrates on America.

:01:44. > :01:48.We would love him to have a chance of making the Ryder Cup side. The

:01:49. > :01:52.jihadist add experience at the Ryder Cup and hasn't been too fussed. He

:01:53. > :01:57.has said a few things he probably shouldn't. But he will be great to

:01:58. > :02:12.have him back. It would make a difference. Nicely tapped in bye to

:02:13. > :02:26.Louis Oosthuizen. Just iron it. This is a severe breach of tactics.

:02:27. > :02:42.He looks a bit warm after that job. Let's not forget whose turn it is.

:02:43. > :02:52.-- jog. Hopefully they will stand clear. They only need one of them to

:02:53. > :03:09.drive. It doesn't have to go with a drive. Suggesting, why don't you

:03:10. > :03:20.just give it a tap up the right side? Good idea. Jordan Spieth on

:03:21. > :03:36.the 18th. You have to get it just right. The ball has a bit of sand on

:03:37. > :03:43.it. You have to get it just right. It is impossible for a ball to

:03:44. > :04:06.finish in that creek. Finally took the right club. From the other

:04:07. > :04:26.angle, the ball looked to be sitting quite nicely. How did you get it to

:04:27. > :04:31.lie so softly? A mighty strong ball from Brooks. I wouldn't want to

:04:32. > :04:39.wrestle him. Another group trying to squeeze through, I don't think the

:04:40. > :04:59.officials will blow while they are making so much effort. Ideally, they

:05:00. > :05:13.would like a one tee start. Dustin Johnson playing with Jason Day.

:05:14. > :05:19.Watch this one, a lovely swing. Perfect setup. Turn and swish at the

:05:20. > :05:35.bottom. It really is so simple. He will be thinking, why can't I do

:05:36. > :05:45.that? I couldn't agree more. If he can get that finished, Jason Day

:05:46. > :05:52.will be absolutely over the moon. Has Jason Day finished the previous

:05:53. > :06:08.one? Know, and I am not sure whether that is kosher. Coming a year early.

:06:09. > :06:25.Open champion Jordan Spieth announced on the 18th. Dustin

:06:26. > :06:29.Johnson is off. If they haven't finished 17, we will find out what's

:06:30. > :06:40.going on. A really good rate for Jordan Spieth. Getting his green

:06:41. > :06:50.book out. Checking that slope on the green. Intermittent, you can finish

:06:51. > :06:59.the whole you're on when there is one single blast. Two blasts, that

:07:00. > :07:03.means you must finish immediately. So almost all the players will be

:07:04. > :07:15.finishing the holes they are currently on. Got to pop this up in

:07:16. > :07:33.the area. Going to run out a little bit. It sounded nice. Maybe just

:07:34. > :07:47.popped up a little bit too much. A tricky one to read. Coming up the

:07:48. > :08:07.bank. He's given it a lot of borrow. Some lovely putts today. -- burrow.

:08:08. > :08:26.The Nytol. Come on, you've got to hit the baby. -- the ninth hole.

:08:27. > :08:30.Probably got to reload. Brooks, since the rain delay, he has been a

:08:31. > :08:40.little bit up-and-down. This would be a fantastic way to finish. All

:08:41. > :09:22.the players finishing a little later than anticipated. Nothing has gone
