:00:26. > :00:37.We are right in the middle of golf's competition. Through the

:00:38. > :00:45.Wallasey tunnel, Royal Birkdale Golf Club is where it is at this weekend.

:00:46. > :00:50.The 39th event of the British women's open. We have been enjoying

:00:51. > :00:55.some gorgeous weather is gorgeous venue. Ice cream weather, sunny and

:00:56. > :00:57.warm, the sea breezes of the Irish Sea have been cooling. Ideal

:00:58. > :01:03.committee would think for low scoring. Yet, even without its

:01:04. > :01:07.strongest defence, the wind, the narrow fairways and thick tangling

:01:08. > :01:11.brass have asked some searching questions of the top professionals,

:01:12. > :01:19.and quite a few haven't found the right answers. -- ideal, you would

:01:20. > :01:28.think for low scoring. APPLAUSE -- tangling grass. It is getting

:01:29. > :01:36.really bad now. It has all been a bit of a struggle. There is to be no

:01:37. > :01:46.US Open or British open double former shall we. Karrie Webb,

:01:47. > :01:51.Katrina Matthew, and Katrina Matthew will not be there either. So who is

:01:52. > :02:02.going to get this claret jug? Perhaps 1 of these names. --

:02:03. > :02:07.Catriona Matthew. What a beauty, what an absolutely beautiful putt. A

:02:08. > :02:21.birdie at the 18th, and a great day for her. Birdie birdie finish, and a

:02:22. > :02:26.72. At the halfway stage, 31 year old Martin is in pole position with

:02:27. > :02:30.a healthy 3 shot advantage. Could America be on track to claim the 1st

:02:31. > :02:36.3 majors in women's golf of the 1st time since 1999? Beatriz Recari got

:02:37. > :02:50.a birdie on the last 3 yesterday. Alongside her, the former US Open

:02:51. > :02:53.champion, Ryu. Only 9 players under par so far, and amongst them in the

:02:54. > :02:57.group that 5 shot of the league is the defending champion and world

:02:58. > :03:08.number 1 Stacy Lewis of America. And there is a gang of major winners,

:03:09. > :03:09.all sitting at level par. 2 of the 5 amateurs remain to fight it out this

:03:10. > :03:21.weekend. Dame Laura Davies is also with us

:03:22. > :03:25.this weekend, 9 shots off the pace at the start of the day at 3 over

:03:26. > :03:30.par. Some of the star names have fled the scene already. Major

:03:31. > :03:38.winners, as you have heard, Catriona Matthew, Christie Kerr, and British

:03:39. > :03:49.hopefuls Holly Clyburn and Stefanie Meadow. The 2004 champion of this

:03:50. > :03:56.event, Karen Stupples, is hanging up her spikes. Karen is here to reflect

:03:57. > :04:02.on that. I saw you yesterday on the 18th, you were a bit upset. You

:04:03. > :04:07.might start me off again. CHUCKLES How do you reflect on events

:04:08. > :04:12.yesterday and the way you went out? I look back... I got to the 10th

:04:13. > :04:17.green, and it really got me thinking about this is the last 9 holes of

:04:18. > :04:20.golf I was going to play. To be honest, I started thinking about

:04:21. > :04:25.everything that has happened in my golfing career, all of the fantastic

:04:26. > :04:30.memories, all of the fantastic people I have met. What a proud

:04:31. > :04:34.moment. I was really proud to have done what I have Dunkin' doughnuts

:04:35. > :04:39.many people along the way, that so many friends.

:04:40. > :04:46.-- done what I have done, met so many people along the way. 10 years

:04:47. > :04:51.ago we were watching you at Sunningdale. You cannot take that

:04:52. > :04:54.away from you, you were a great winner, and you did it in style. You

:04:55. > :05:00.started with an eagle, a perfect start. I knew I wanted to get off to

:05:01. > :05:08.wait quick 1, but this, 2nd hole, par 5. This was your 2nd shot. I was

:05:09. > :05:13.completely blind, I did not know where it was going. The cheers got

:05:14. > :05:19.bigger and bigger. That is when you saw me gave it the jump, when I was

:05:20. > :05:23.told it went in. Extraordinary, eagle, albatross, never been done

:05:24. > :05:27.before, and you were a runaway winner by 5. I wonder how often

:05:28. > :05:32.people remind you of the start of that round, and where they were when

:05:33. > :05:35.they watched it. It is funny, I get it a lot. Particularly if somebody

:05:36. > :05:41.has had an albatross, people say, the last 1 I saw was yours at the

:05:42. > :05:45.2nd hole at Sunningdale. I hear it a lot. It is special at the time. I

:05:46. > :05:50.did not realise it was happening. It was surreal. You are in the moment.

:05:51. > :05:53.Looking back on it, I still pinch myself to make sure it was realised

:05:54. > :05:57.that it happened, and of course it did because I have the trophy at

:05:58. > :06:05.home. You are part of a select group of winners. Catriona Matthew joint

:06:06. > :06:14.you later on. It is a select group. -- joined. Which is the proudest

:06:15. > :06:18.instant moment in your career? It was this, winning the British Open

:06:19. > :06:23.is huge. In front of my home crowd, and my family, there is no better

:06:24. > :06:27.achievement. Any emotions that were involved... Because I had a 5 shot

:06:28. > :06:32.lead going up to the 18th. To be able to enjoy the walk, look at

:06:33. > :06:35.everybody cheering, it was so, so special. I honestly didn't think it

:06:36. > :06:39.was something I would ever do. It is something I dream doll. It is the 1

:06:40. > :06:46.event I watched as a child growing up. -- dream and old. It was the

:06:47. > :06:54.only 1 I watched on television. -- dream dreamt of. That is when it hit

:06:55. > :07:01.home. I thought I could really win this, I could really do it. But then

:07:02. > :07:05.I got nervous. It didn't show. And all of a sudden you have a new

:07:06. > :07:09.career, broadcasting opens up for you in the US, which is fantastic.

:07:10. > :07:15.You are going to walk the walk and talk the talk. And I am going to

:07:16. > :07:20.make you do that. I am ready. You have played this competitively twice

:07:21. > :07:25.before. How much bigger is the competition compared with all of

:07:26. > :07:30.those years ago? It is a hard course. The rough is brutal. It was

:07:31. > :07:35.up to your waist almost. It is brutal. Once you get into it,

:07:36. > :07:39.finding the ball is 1 issue, then moving it back out into play, you

:07:40. > :07:43.have the rough to content with, then you have bunkers which also

:07:44. > :07:47.strategically placed, and fairways running out quickly. You can run

:07:48. > :07:51.into those bunkers fast. You have to be strategic with the tee shots.

:07:52. > :07:56.Even if you hit a 4 iron, all you rescue it from the tee, you can

:07:57. > :07:59.still be fearful of it catching too much, catching the wrong downslope

:08:00. > :08:06.and running into the bunkers. That is tough. -- or you rescue. You

:08:07. > :08:13.don't want to end up in it. You figure you can make par from around

:08:14. > :08:16.the green. It is out of a lot of players comfort zones. The longer

:08:17. > :08:21.players particularly. They are used to going in with 8 irons. Here, you

:08:22. > :08:24.are going in with 5 irons, you're standing there, knowing it is going

:08:25. > :08:29.to go 220 yards, it is a difficult thing to get your head around. It is

:08:30. > :08:32.a tough course. Even though the conditions have been easy, imagine

:08:33. > :08:36.if it had been windy, it would have been carnage. The last few years at

:08:37. > :08:41.this event it has been windy. Martin has really got control of this. Tell

:08:42. > :08:47.us more about her, she is 31, from California, 125 in the world

:08:48. > :08:52.rankings, but what would you say are the hallmarks of her game? She is

:08:53. > :08:55.known for driving. She is the straightest player on the course. I

:08:56. > :08:58.think that is what is standing her in good stead. She is used to having

:08:59. > :09:02.the longer shot into the green, so that is something she is comfortable

:09:03. > :09:06.with. She's not comfortable with being in the lead of a major

:09:07. > :09:10.championship. She's never been in this position. She's won 3 times on

:09:11. > :09:12.the tour. She said in her press conference yesterday that she was

:09:13. > :09:16.going to try and draw from those experiences. She said a win is a

:09:17. > :09:19.win. I am going to potentially disagree with that, because this is

:09:20. > :09:25.a major, and she does not know she has what it takes to win. She will

:09:26. > :09:28.be hoping she does. Somehow, if she can draw on those experiences to

:09:29. > :09:34.find that in a strength, just to believe she can do it, she might

:09:35. > :09:39.have a chance. 3 back, the likes of Beatriz Recari of Spain, she had a

:09:40. > :09:44.break-out year last year, and this 67 from her in which she got birdies

:09:45. > :09:48.for the last 3, which was at the time the best performance by anybody

:09:49. > :09:51.in this championship. She is very small, quite the communities player,

:09:52. > :10:00.but she seems to have a really big game. -- diminutive player. She has

:10:01. > :10:03.not got she had in previous years. I don't what we can attribute that to.

:10:04. > :10:08.She has a new coach, perhaps that has given her confidence. She does

:10:09. > :10:13.not hit it particularly far, so it is playing into her ballpark of

:10:14. > :10:17.running the ball onto the Greens, it probably helps her to know she does

:10:18. > :10:21.not have to hit such long shots into the greens. She likes to draw the

:10:22. > :10:25.ball, which is an advantage around this golf course. It seems to me

:10:26. > :10:32.that a lot of the drives seem to be crucial draw is, so it is setting up

:10:33. > :10:37.for her. -- draws. She really seems to be warming up, she has had top 5

:10:38. > :10:44.result in the last two events coming in from Arkansas. She is already a

:10:45. > :10:50.major winner. To some extent she's been overshadowed by the likes of

:10:51. > :10:54.Inbee Park, but she is very driven. She is gone and she is loving it.

:10:55. > :10:58.She goes under the radar because there are no fireworks, she goes

:10:59. > :11:02.about her business in a quiet, pleasant manner. She gets

:11:03. > :11:05.overlooked, but she is a US Open champion. And to win those you have

:11:06. > :11:09.to be pretty good. She is there, ready to pounce, and her game is in

:11:10. > :11:15.good order. There really is no weakness to her game. That is not

:11:16. > :11:20.Sarah, she had a great score coming home yesterday, nearly got an eagle

:11:21. > :11:28.on the 18th. -- Gwladys Nocera. It was a great round from her. A money

:11:29. > :11:32.winner on the European tour 2008, she won 5 times. She went to the US,

:11:33. > :11:35.tried her luck on the tour over there, but it didn't work, and she

:11:36. > :11:40.hasn't really made the breakthrough. But she's come back, how much is

:11:41. > :11:47.that benefited her game? She obviously feels comfortable in

:11:48. > :11:49.Europe. Unless you go to and American university, it is quite an

:11:50. > :11:52.adjustment. You are in an environment where you don't have

:11:53. > :11:56.many friends about you, you are on your own, it is a dog eat dog world,

:11:57. > :12:01.you either get on with it and do it, or you hanker for the comforts of

:12:02. > :12:04.home. I think that is where she falls in, she likes the home life,

:12:05. > :12:09.she likes being over here in Europe, it's comfortable to her. I imagine

:12:10. > :12:16.being on the Solheim cup team is very good for her. I have no doubt

:12:17. > :12:20.she wants to be on it again. There is a lot of the chasing pack, we can

:12:21. > :12:26.talk about a lot of them, Stacy Lewis, a great challenge. But Inbee

:12:27. > :12:37.Park, there was so much about her last year, and it is the 26th

:12:38. > :12:44.birthday today. Just a youngster. -- her 26th birthday. She had the

:12:45. > :12:48.ranking, her home pressure had to be immense for her to continue to be

:12:49. > :12:52.the world number 1. When Stacy Lewis crept up on her, the pressure must

:12:53. > :12:56.have been building. Once she lost it, once she got rid of the number 1

:12:57. > :13:05.world ranking and the target on her back was gone, she was able to come

:13:06. > :13:10.back. She was on fire. She has a new putter, she feels it is the key to

:13:11. > :13:13.her game. She thinks this will drive her forward. Obviously it is paying

:13:14. > :13:17.off. She is in contention here. She'd been there before, major

:13:18. > :13:21.champion, I would not be surprised to see her play well at all. We know

:13:22. > :13:26.what she is capable of, certainly. 1 woman has shown the way this

:13:27. > :13:30.morning, 18 -year-old Charley Hull has showed our sport is capable out

:13:31. > :13:35.on the golf course. Albeit she started with back-to-back bogeys,

:13:36. > :13:39.she went on a complete charge, picking up shots at the 3rd, 4th,

:13:40. > :13:45.6th, 7th, and 12, then 3 in a row from the 14th. That 1 was in the

:13:46. > :13:51.15th. The hot streak continued with her putter at the next 1, the 16th,

:13:52. > :13:56.which took her to 6 under par. She would give 1 back again at the 17th

:13:57. > :14:00.with a 3 putt, but she is at the back of the 18th green here,

:14:01. > :14:12.remember, par 5, and she gave a chance to herself or another 1. She

:14:13. > :14:18.would take it. -- for another 1. Charley Hull, who started 11 shots

:14:19. > :14:21.off the lead, now within just 5 of the leaders. When she came off

:14:22. > :14:29.around 40 minutes ago, this is the woman who leads the way on the

:14:30. > :14:34.European tour standings, the leading lady, and I caught up with her

:14:35. > :14:40.afterwards. What a round, 9 birdies, 3 bogeys, and a round of 66. What

:14:41. > :14:52.did you find today? I started with 2 bogeys. I parted quite well. I hit

:14:53. > :14:57.it quite close, as well. -- putted. I was working with rhythm. I got

:14:58. > :15:01.onto the green earlier this morning, working on that, so I was quite

:15:02. > :15:08.happy. After two bogeys to start with, I still thought if I got

:15:09. > :15:13.through the 1st two I'm quite happy, because it is only 3 over par. Quite

:15:14. > :15:18.good, but especially with my 18th yesterday, I was glad to hit the

:15:19. > :15:21.fairway today. You had your travels at the start and finish of the last

:15:22. > :15:28.couple of rounds, once you get those two sorted you would be a force to

:15:29. > :15:31.reckon with. -- troubles. Yes, even when I got my 1st bogey I never

:15:32. > :15:36.thought I was out of the championship. It is still great to

:15:37. > :15:39.be in there. If somebody picks up tomorrow, just keep steady. I

:15:40. > :15:44.actually find these golf courses little bit easier with the wind

:15:45. > :15:48.because you can ride it, but there is not much wind out there at all

:15:49. > :15:53.today. I found it easy. You have 1 that your 1st event, in March in

:15:54. > :15:56.Morocco, I just wonder what confident it has given you. How does

:15:57. > :16:01.it change you when you approach these big events? I feel I belong on

:16:02. > :16:06.the tour now. There was all of that talk about me finishing 2nd, being

:16:07. > :16:11.in the Solheim cup. I wanted to get a victory under my belt. Then it

:16:12. > :16:15.gave me confidence going into the next major. I finished 7th. Then

:16:16. > :16:20.going into the final round, I battled, but I let it slip. I got a

:16:21. > :16:24.lot of confidence from that. I've had some good finishes so far this

:16:25. > :16:27.year. It is all a bit of a learning experience for me. I will go out

:16:28. > :16:34.there tomorrow and hopefully do the same. It must be good to show people

:16:35. > :16:37.hear what you can do. Definitely, especially after yesterday's round,

:16:38. > :16:42.somebody said this golf course was too hard, but it isn't today. Well

:16:43. > :16:48.played, thank you berry much. How special a round is that? -- very

:16:49. > :16:52.much. It has got back into contention, and that is what you

:16:53. > :16:56.have to do. If you are scraping, you have to come out all guns blazing on

:16:57. > :16:59.the Saturday because you have nothing to lose. Charley Hull has

:17:00. > :17:03.nothing to lose. She wants to compete and content, and to do that

:17:04. > :17:07.she had the number on the board. She is content in her abilities. Quite

:17:08. > :17:11.rightly too, she is very good. She really took on the golf course

:17:12. > :17:15.today. She certainly did. The scoring is very good so far. Let me

:17:16. > :17:22.show you what has been going on. Inbee Park, we mentioned her

:17:23. > :17:26.earlier, a winner of 3 majors, this is with her 4th birdie of the day, 4

:17:27. > :17:31.under par for the day, 4 under par for the championship, and into a

:17:32. > :17:37.tighter the lead. Martin has dropped two in the 1st opening holes. -- and

:17:38. > :17:43.in a tie for the lead. They really are moving out there, in very, very

:17:44. > :17:47.special conditions. Once again, the gentlest of breezes early on,

:17:48. > :17:52.perhaps the most benign conditions so far. It is warm, humid, and

:17:53. > :18:03.slightly overcast. And this is the situation, 3 tied at the top. Martin

:18:04. > :18:08.has had a very nervy start. Julieta Granada just 1 behind her. Now it is

:18:09. > :18:15.time to get onto the links at Royal Birkdale Golf Club. Good afternoon.

:18:16. > :18:24.COMMENTATOR: The play today is reflection be good. I don't know why

:18:25. > :18:28.that is, I think the wind has gone down, the flags are in more generous

:18:29. > :18:41.conditions. The players know a bit more about the course. Good morning.

:18:42. > :18:48.Ryu Here, left-hand side of the fairway. 154 to the pin. It will

:18:49. > :19:00.probably come out soft. The trouble will be getting it back to the pin.

:19:01. > :19:12.Steady. It should come back... It might come back... No, it has

:19:13. > :19:17.changed its mind. Lots of birdies, Eagles, all sorts of good stuff

:19:18. > :19:22.going on this morning. Which is nice to see after the trials and

:19:23. > :19:34.tribulations of the 1st two days. Final group, and following them is

:19:35. > :19:41.Ken Brown. It has been a very slow opening couple of holes. Martin, the

:19:42. > :19:49.overnight leader, she has taken relief from the sprinkler head.

:19:50. > :19:52.Going with the putter. Martin is not the longest hitter in the world. You

:19:53. > :20:10.would think this would suit her, but she is pretty dammed accurate, she

:20:11. > :20:19.gets a low running flight of the -- off the tee. You said she got relief

:20:20. > :20:25.from the sprinkler head. Yes, there is 1 just close to the green. You

:20:26. > :20:32.can get relief, and it allowed her to putt it. Well, there you are, she

:20:33. > :20:34.is struggling. A matter of regrouping, attacking, defending,

:20:35. > :20:57.not throwing away shots. Up to 5. Good balance. That is a great shot.

:20:58. > :21:03.Ranked 21st in the world. Plays all of her golf on the Japanese and

:21:04. > :21:14.Korean tours. She has won 3 times already in Japan this year. Quite an

:21:15. > :21:19.inviting little birdie chance. The little bit uphill from the right.

:21:20. > :21:25.The Greens running at a mighty fast pace for a links course. They

:21:26. > :21:38.probably knew there wasn't going to be much breeze. Very quick. Just

:21:39. > :21:43.wide. She is a nice looking player, nice, firms swing. Good movement

:21:44. > :21:48.through the ball. Yes, she has had a bit of injury, so gone off the pitch

:21:49. > :21:49.this season. But she has been very sound. She has a good looking

:21:50. > :22:12.action. Inbee Park For par. That is so

:22:13. > :22:24.unlike her. APPLAUSE Very uncharacteristic.

:22:25. > :22:35.Taking long time over these shots. They are almost trying too hard. I

:22:36. > :22:45.know the feeling, I do it myself at times.

:22:46. > :23:05.Tricky little shot for Ryu. Downhill all the way to the whole. She is

:23:06. > :23:19.chipping it. -- hole. I would putt it. I guess she has nerves of

:23:20. > :23:24.steel. A bit wayward, I must say. Coming off the shoulders, not the

:23:25. > :23:28.easiest of shots. It has left a nasty 1 for par after a nice 2nd

:23:29. > :23:49.shot. And now, she played it pretty safe

:23:50. > :23:54.with the 2nd shot, she wasn't having any of this imposition. And her

:23:55. > :23:57.reward is a very, very straight uphill putt. This is definitely

:23:58. > :24:39.possible. Good line. Spectacular looking hole, this,

:24:40. > :24:45.downhill, the green surrounded by bunkers. The green tends to tip the

:24:46. > :25:03.ball the way of the pin. APPLAUSE

:25:04. > :25:21.Another sweet shops. Very nicely struck. -- sweet shot. Some hawthorn

:25:22. > :25:29.bushes behind this. But just over there is the nicest little

:25:30. > :25:37.clubhouse. A chocolate box white building, quite lovely. There it is,

:25:38. > :25:42.tucked away in the corner. They are a dying breed in many places, but I

:25:43. > :25:43.am delighted that some clubs keep them. The best clubhouse in the

:25:44. > :25:59.country. Mo Martin. Just working it slightly from left

:26:00. > :26:02.to right. APPLAUSE And it is a good 1. Jess, a good

:26:03. > :26:29.result, Ken. -- yes. Up on the 5th, tricky right-to-left

:26:30. > :26:34.slider for Ryu. Very well done indeed. It was a good up and down

:26:35. > :26:45.from the back slope. This player won the 2011 US Open before she was a

:26:46. > :26:59.member of the LPGA. At the 18th. This is for birdie for Alex. Another

:27:00. > :27:07.American player. Now on 68. Good score. APPLAUSE

:27:08. > :27:20.That is the 6th at this hole. Charley Hull, 66, leading the way

:27:21. > :27:31.for today's scoring. And trying to finish off and 5. That looked very

:27:32. > :27:43.tiny. Gee-whiz. That can only be lack of concentration to miss a putt

:27:44. > :27:49.that short. -- Ahn trying. I don't really believe there was an obstacle

:27:50. > :27:57.in her way. Up to 6. This is a big par 5, dogleg left-to-right,

:27:58. > :28:01.elevated green. We have seen two Eagles here today, always a chance

:28:02. > :28:30.for another 1. Very flat looking green, but they

:28:31. > :28:44.are all slightly undulating. Quite large. Nice stroke, just stays on

:28:45. > :28:51.the left. Nice birdie, and time to welcome Tom Abbott, welcome, Tom.

:28:52. > :28:57.Thank you, Peter. She has been patting very well all week, but not

:28:58. > :29:07.able to get the pace on that 1. -- putting. Two drop shots. Level par,

:29:08. > :29:12.1 under, only 3 behind. The player who broke through and 1 for the 1st

:29:13. > :29:28.time on the LPGA tour at the end of last year. She was a 16 -year-old on

:29:29. > :29:37.the ladies tour in the past. This is a part. She had a bit of a tangle

:29:38. > :29:48.with the bunkers. -- par. Granada's mother, as usual, on the bag. She

:29:49. > :29:54.always carries the big staff bag, Maureen. She is not a very big

:29:55. > :30:10.lady! Extraordinary. She must be very fit indeed. That is a

:30:11. > :30:15.disappointment for Granada. Down the slope. It took her a long time to

:30:16. > :30:32.pick the line. As Peter was saying, they are very tricky greens. Very

:30:33. > :30:41.hard to read. That is better. It is a dropped shot, however. Sixes are

:30:42. > :30:42.always ugly. They are not what a professional golfer wants to be

:30:43. > :31:11.marking down on the card. Beatriz Recari... A little nervy,

:31:12. > :31:17.these two? I think so. They were trying to be precise with everything

:31:18. > :31:24.early on. Those opening two holes have been brutal all week. These are

:31:25. > :31:30.two players who have not played very well this season and now they are on

:31:31. > :31:32.a huge stage. That is tricky when you have not had the confidence of

:31:33. > :31:58.playing on this stage before. She read screens magnificently and

:31:59. > :32:04.rolls the ball so well. -- greens. Mo Martin is an interesting player.

:32:05. > :32:13.She lost her greatest men to, her grandfather, earlier this year. --

:32:14. > :32:21.mentor. We will come back to that as we look at Amelia Lewis. She made an

:32:22. > :32:25.eagle at six after birdieing five. Open the day with a couple of

:32:26. > :32:29.dropped shots. She is going along nicely. -- she opened the day. She

:32:30. > :32:47.is from Jacksonville, Florida. Mo Martin last greatest mentor, her

:32:48. > :32:50.grandfather, earlier this year. He was 101 years old and was still

:32:51. > :32:56.coming to the golf course with her when he was 100 years old. She has

:32:57. > :33:04.relied on him so much. She was so close to him. That is a great old

:33:05. > :33:15.story. He really inspired her. He would have loved to have been around

:33:16. > :33:24.to see her here today. 230 yards to the pin here. Hopefully she will be

:33:25. > :33:34.able to chase it up here. It is heading straight for the bunker.

:33:35. > :33:50.That will leave her quite a lengthy bunker shot. Never the easiest.

:33:51. > :34:00.Both of these players gave it a healthy back up here. -- healthy

:34:01. > :34:16.whack. She may have to chase this in.

:34:17. > :34:32.If you flying bugs, Mark? I think so, yes. -- there are a few flying

:34:33. > :34:46.bugs? It is better to stop and start again than be unhappy over the ball.

:34:47. > :34:58.A good connection. As she posted a fraction? What a great shot. Carried

:34:59. > :35:07.that along way. A couple of bunkers on the right. She cleared those with

:35:08. > :35:17.ease. Park for a birdie on the ninth. A very strong front nine from

:35:18. > :35:22.the world number three. Moving day today and a number of players making

:35:23. > :35:36.a move through the field. Charley Hull got 66 area today. She made a

:35:37. > :35:46.two on every one of the par threes. -- earlier today.

:35:47. > :36:05.A little fairway wood. That should be all right.

:36:06. > :36:23.Just look at the flight of this and watch how it scurries up the

:36:24. > :36:29.fairway. It is still visible. Seventh hole, Amy Yang. That will be

:36:30. > :36:55.a par. She will remain at one under. A long hitter of the golf ball, Amy

:36:56. > :37:00.Yang. Could be very dangerous over the rest of today and tomorrow.

:37:01. > :37:03.Somewhat of an underachiever. Wonderful golf swing but maybe has

:37:04. > :37:10.not put the results together that we would have expected. Still amazing

:37:11. > :37:19.that she is as young as she is. She started playing when she was 16. A

:37:20. > :37:27.long bunker shot. The key to these shots is clubhead speed. She

:37:28. > :37:28.generates a fair amount of speed. But he has to get over a pretty

:37:29. > :37:54.steep lip. That was not a bad effort at all.

:37:55. > :38:03.She can have a little bit of a run at the birdie chance.

:38:04. > :38:18.I thought that was in. So did she. Originally from Paraguay. Now lives

:38:19. > :38:27.in Orlando in Florida. Many of the players do. Another one of those

:38:28. > :38:35.players who burst onto the scene as a teenager. Her only win came early

:38:36. > :38:43.in her career. It was a big one, a first prize cheque. I seem to

:38:44. > :38:46.remember the million dollars were stacked up in cases on the first

:38:47. > :39:17.tee. An eagle chance on the sixth. Yes,

:39:18. > :39:33.glorious second finding the putting surface. Is there much in this one,

:39:34. > :39:43.Mark? It is uphill a little. She does have the most beautiful rhythm

:39:44. > :39:45.to her stroke, this girl. It seemed to wander off on her a little bit

:39:46. > :40:14.from left to right. That is a glorious shot. That will

:40:15. > :40:33.settle any nerves. 15 feet. Not much on this. Straight

:40:34. > :41:04.uphill. That feels a bit like a shot

:41:05. > :41:10.dropped. A lot of players making birdie at the sixth. A few eagles as

:41:11. > :41:24.well. A fairly decent life for Beatriz Recari. Going with a nine

:41:25. > :41:28.iron. Good shot. A shiny amateur career, she has had. She has backed

:41:29. > :41:40.that up with three wins so far in the LPGA.

:41:41. > :41:59.This is one of those putts that looks awkward. So Yeon Ryu has a

:42:00. > :42:05.1-shot lead. A very consistent performer. She finished 10th in

:42:06. > :42:10.Canada. Fifth at the US open. She followed that with another fifth

:42:11. > :42:14.placed finish a couple of weeks ago. She is a really good form and she is

:42:15. > :42:16.showing it here. Mo Martin not off to a good start. She had a three

:42:17. > :43:03.shot lead coming into today. Back to the final peering of Beatriz

:43:04. > :43:11.Recari and Mo Martin. -- pairing. We have seen the greens dry out during

:43:12. > :43:21.the week. 11 and 14 tried a bit quicker. Looking more shiny and

:43:22. > :43:27.burnished as the week has gone by. Is there much in this one, Ken? It

:43:28. > :43:33.is a little of the hill. It turns a little bit to her right. She is

:43:34. > :44:02.getting a bit of help from the Cadee. -- from the Cadee.

:44:03. > :44:16.Struggling to get herself settle. -- settled. Again she is not known as

:44:17. > :44:25.the quickest player on tour. She is taking her time. As somebody once

:44:26. > :44:36.said to me, the slowest thing since soil erosion! That is the last three

:44:37. > :44:38.pots she has stroke that have been absolutely dead on line but just

:44:39. > :44:59.short. -- putt. Our championship leader. Great part

:45:00. > :45:04.three this. -- par. The players flying the ball a row of bunkers

:45:05. > :45:08.they cannot see from the tee. It is so difficult to get the ball to hold

:45:09. > :45:14.on the screen. That pitching right beside the flag. The green is

:45:15. > :45:15.pitched away from the tee. Effectively they are landing on a

:45:16. > :45:38.downslope. She has got an eight iron. That

:45:39. > :45:41.maybe half a club too big for her. She may have too feathery little one

:45:42. > :45:49.in there and give it plenty of height. That one has done OK. An

:45:50. > :46:00.anxious wait until it dropped. That is a very good result.

:46:01. > :46:10.Mo Martin for a birdie at the fifth. Well done. The first birdie of the

:46:11. > :46:20.day gets back to one quarter of the round. Tied for the lead.

:46:21. > :46:36.Birdie putt Ferranti Park -- for Inbee Park. Using a new putter this

:46:37. > :46:41.week. The putter she used last year in winning her three majors, she had

:46:42. > :46:46.to change because she wore out the insert. She did not do that on the

:46:47. > :46:49.course. It must have been her practice. She had so few ports last

:46:50. > :47:26.year. -- cuts. This hole has given away plenty of

:47:27. > :47:35.birdies this week. A very fast running fairway. Mo Martin does get

:47:36. > :47:49.this amazing flight. The boulders and carry very far but it runs. --

:47:50. > :47:59.the ball does not carry very far. Would you say her golf is suited to

:48:00. > :48:09.links play? It does. She is pretty Fat of the tee. -- fast. Mo Martin

:48:10. > :48:16.struggled to establish itself on the LPGA. She did win three tournaments

:48:17. > :48:23.on the futures tour. She is making steady progress. But with a low ball

:48:24. > :48:38.flight it is difficult to play well in America. 270 yards to reach the

:48:39. > :48:46.far bunker on the left. Quite a testing drive.

:48:47. > :49:19.The joint leader, second at the par three. She will have that to remain

:49:20. > :49:26.at two under for the day, five under for the championship. She has got a

:49:27. > :49:39.lot of logos on that shirt. She has got logos on logos! Very well

:49:40. > :49:46.supported, the championship this year, Maureen. People are enjoying

:49:47. > :49:50.the weather, enjoying the golf. Great crowds. Staying on late in the

:49:51. > :49:53.past couple of evenings as well. They know their golf around this

:49:54. > :50:02.neck of the woods and they really appreciate golf. After that

:50:03. > :50:16.beautiful tee shot, this six footer for birdie. The wind has picked up a

:50:17. > :50:26.little bit and it is to her left. It did not looked -- she did not look

:50:27. > :50:30.too convincing over the ball. Disappointing that she did not take

:50:31. > :50:36.advantage of that beautiful tee shot. She remains in a tie for

:50:37. > :50:41.fourth macro. -- fourth. Four the store company on that number. --

:50:42. > :51:09.others. 17 years of age from New Zealand. A

:51:10. > :51:13.youngster with a huge amount of potential. She has played so well in

:51:14. > :51:29.the early stages of her professional career. A little tester. Oh, two

:51:30. > :51:42.pacey. It has got to be right in the centre of the whole. -- hole. I have

:51:43. > :51:47.to say, the players nowadays our very good at looking on concerned

:51:48. > :51:55.when they make mistakes like that. I used to be fuming. Maybe that is

:51:56. > :52:05.where I went wrong! Amy Yang for a bogey at the eighth. Just the one

:52:06. > :52:09.shot dropped for Amy Yang. It was her third bogey of the day. The

:52:10. > :52:17.players have struggled on the opening couple of holes. A number of

:52:18. > :52:33.players playing well on the front nine. The wind is just freshening a

:52:34. > :52:42.little bit. Quite a day for Charley Hull earlier, wasn't it? Yes, it was

:52:43. > :52:48.great stuff. She has the firepower. Neither of these to players have got

:52:49. > :52:51.the beef in their shots. I talked to Charley Hull afterwards and she said

:52:52. > :53:00.she would rather play tree-lined golf, that she struggles with links

:53:01. > :53:14.golf. Another one racing out, this time for Granada. The greens

:53:15. > :53:22.just... Charley Hull likes to visualise the shots. Bunkers on the

:53:23. > :53:27.left. Bunkers up the right. Just playing for position. Downwind. That

:53:28. > :53:56.is absolutely perfect. She has taken the shortest route.

:53:57. > :54:07.228 to the pin. The flag is on 23. You like this play, Ken? I do. She

:54:08. > :54:15.is right on the limit. Drifting right. The first bounce in the rough

:54:16. > :54:25.slowed it down a fraction. She should be above ground. Not leaking

:54:26. > :54:35.into the right-hand bunker. She seems to be settling down. To VA. --

:54:36. > :54:56.to the eighth. That was a very fortunate break. She

:54:57. > :55:07.could have been in also to have trouble. It may have been

:55:08. > :55:16.non-playable, you never know. Well played by Laura Cremer. She has been

:55:17. > :55:25.gently tiptoeing along. -- Paula Creamer. She has always got a good

:55:26. > :55:44.grounding her. Amelia Lewis with her second.

:55:45. > :55:59.We go back to that final pairing. Beatrice record laying up. --

:56:00. > :56:05.Beatrice record. This is where the championship is won or lost for the

:56:06. > :56:11.top players in the world. Yes, this is very much Beatrice Reka's game.

:56:12. > :56:16.When she guessed -- gets a wedge in her hand, she is normally dynamite.

:56:17. > :56:22.She has not played so well this year with a mixture of injuries, which

:56:23. > :56:39.forced her to the better swing, wish you now want to.

:56:40. > :56:58.An extra hop that she could have done without.

:56:59. > :57:06.Park with her second. I was out on the practice ground this morning

:57:07. > :57:13.watching a lot of the players warming up. Inbee Park had an

:57:14. > :57:21.inflatable teddy bear that she held between her elbows as she hid her

:57:22. > :57:37.pitched shot. Yes, she is endorsing the product. I was talking about it

:57:38. > :57:58.yesterday with her. The eighth fairway. 144 yards to the front. 172

:57:59. > :58:13.the pain. -- pin. I think she has got a six iron.

:58:14. > :58:33.Another good strike. The camera angle belying just how much uphill

:58:34. > :58:46.that is. A beautiful shot. Mo Martin with her third at the sixth.

:58:47. > :59:03.She is ten yards nearer. Hitting a long club. These two a really good

:59:04. > :59:19.strikers. Very impressed so far. -- are really good strikers. Nice time

:59:20. > :59:24.to welcome by the Peter Aliss. Thank you, Tom. It is exciting. We are

:59:25. > :59:30.worried about a little rain that make come in later in the day. Here

:59:31. > :59:43.is Lewis looking very colourful. A birdie attempt at the 12th. She's

:59:44. > :59:51.two under. Drifted right. The greens every slate. Even the shortest of

:59:52. > :59:59.putts, you have to be aware that such strength, direction. -- of its

:00:00. > :00:12.strength. You do not just go and whack them in.

:00:13. > :00:18.I was talking to Inbee Park yesterday and she felt she had done

:00:19. > :00:23.enough. She felt level par was a good position to be in. She said she

:00:24. > :00:28.would attack today and try to win this championship. She has put

:00:29. > :00:58.together a good day so far. Mo Martin to go six under par. She

:00:59. > :02:20.it is really a not overpowering the course, or

:02:21. > :02:25.down into a little valley. Is about an hour and a half and they are just

:02:26. > :02:50.tapping in on the sixth. It is not exactly Speedy Gonzales.

:02:51. > :02:59.It is going to be a par at the eighth. As Maureen mentioned, she

:03:00. > :03:03.won the US women's open in 2011. It was a weak blighted by the weather.

:03:04. > :03:21.Thunderstorms every day. It went into a Monday finish.

:03:22. > :03:40.That was a little tickle down the hill. Started that way too wide.

:03:41. > :03:55.Another par. Still very much in the hunt.

:03:56. > :04:07.She started with a couple of fives. Four twos. She must be copying the

:04:08. > :04:18.footprint of re-Michael Roy. He does that kind of thing. She has done it

:04:19. > :04:33.in reverse. -- Rory McIlroy. She makes her par. One behind Mo Martin.

:04:34. > :04:48.The knob on the left side of the blocks. Going with a nine iron. It

:04:49. > :05:20.is a pretty shallow green. Ride online. -- that was right online.

:05:21. > :05:24.This screen has seen a bit of drama over the years.

:05:25. > :05:32.This screen has seen a bit of drama over the -- this green. A bit of

:05:33. > :05:37.argy-bargy about putts. Many people think golf is a quiet game. There

:05:38. > :06:05.has been quite a bit of aggro and drama over the years.

:06:06. > :06:12.iron. -- Beatriz Recari. Steady. Just had to come over that little

:06:13. > :06:19.shoulder. Quite a delicate chip back. Between them, they have the

:06:20. > :06:33.right club. 2nd at the 11th for Amelia Lewis. Short par 4, 350 2

:06:34. > :06:35.yards. -- 352 yards. Coming back towards the putting surface, that is

:06:36. > :07:01.actually going to work out quite well. Granada. Looks good if it

:07:02. > :07:15.runs. It just ran out of speed. Annoying, very annoying. APPLAUSE

:07:16. > :07:18.6-over par, made the cut, only 70 runners. I thought the field would

:07:19. > :07:23.be considerably more than that, the scoring was so close. But was

:07:24. > :07:37.yesterday afternoon, at the back of the field. -- that was.

:07:38. > :07:43.It is picture perfect here at Royal Birkdale Golf Club. Mo Martin, from

:07:44. > :07:47.California, she has found out where the widest part of the fairway word.

:07:48. > :07:51.That would be the best approaches into the greens. They spent a lot of

:07:52. > :07:55.time casing the joint, pardon the expression. She does not hit

:07:56. > :07:59.particularly long, so capitalising on her accuracy. That has been a

:08:00. > :08:04.game plan all week, which is worked out well for them. Dropped some

:08:05. > :08:08.shots at the 1st and 2nd. Still with a 1-shot advantage. This is the 1st

:08:09. > :08:13.time, of course, she has ever led a Major championship in her career.

:08:14. > :08:24.She has a pack of former winners hot on her heels. Suzann Pettersen is

:08:25. > :08:28.very much in the hunt in that group of four at 2-under par. Charley Hull

:08:29. > :08:34.has shown the way today, wonderful round of 66 for the 18 -year-old

:08:35. > :08:37.from Kettering. There was a run of 3 birdies for her, and she really has

:08:38. > :08:47.shown us a glimpse of what she is capable of. As we look further down,

:08:48. > :08:50.our overnight leader, Uehara, and she followed it up well into the 70s

:08:51. > :08:56.the next day. She had terrible trouble is after. Effectively sunk

:08:57. > :09:00.without trace. That is what Royal Birkdale Golf Club can do to you if

:09:01. > :09:08.you get it wrong. The fairway is very narrow. -- the fairways very

:09:09. > :09:17.narrow. With these conditions the greens are really drying out

:09:18. > :09:21.quickly. Getting very quick. Beatriz Recari, just over the back of the

:09:22. > :09:27.green. Is that a bad place to miss it? She might be all right. You

:09:28. > :09:31.really don't see it with these cameras, but there is enough room to

:09:32. > :09:35.let it run up to the hole. But you have to play it at the right place,

:09:36. > :09:39.you have to get it moving gently. Lofted it in the air, moving quite

:09:40. > :09:42.nicely, and she has got an excellent result there. Excellent shot. So

:09:43. > :09:50.easy to leave at 5 feet away, and miss it. She dropped a shot on the

:09:51. > :10:00.short par 3. You can get very cross when that happens. Suzann Pettersen,

:10:01. > :10:09.trying to save par at the 13th. 1st shot gone today. She has made a good

:10:10. > :10:17.move. Started the day at 1-over. 7 shots behind. Now, she drops back.

:10:18. > :10:21.APPLAUSE 1-under the championship, and she is

:10:22. > :10:27.four back. Had some injury problems early in the year, some issues with

:10:28. > :10:30.her back. She was laid out the 3 weeks with severe back problems.

:10:31. > :10:39.Thankfully, she has come through those. Inbee Park at the 12th.

:10:40. > :10:44.Rattled in off the left-hand bank. And that isn't too shabby. She is at

:10:45. > :11:01.it again. That will bring a smile to your chops excavation -- to your

:11:02. > :11:08.chops! That was very good. Just this 1st 5 feet or so uphill. Going into

:11:09. > :11:23.the valley. It is easy to get a good lie on the pace. Not bad. In Charley

:11:24. > :11:29.Hull's round, she had four 2 is -- twos. Doesn't happen very often. It

:11:30. > :11:47.doesn't, I only remember it happening 1 other time. APPLAUSE

:11:48. > :11:54.APPLAUSE Plays on the LPGA Tour, and the

:11:55. > :12:05.ladies European Tour. She is playing her trade all around the world. 118

:12:06. > :12:11.to the pin for Ryu. Big shot. Aggressive play. Should give her a

:12:12. > :12:15.birdie chance, it looks good. Stop, though, it has just got the extra

:12:16. > :12:22.spin, skipped over the back, and stopped halfway down the hill. But,

:12:23. > :12:27.very hard hole when there is any wind about. A lot of rough on the

:12:28. > :12:32.right-hand side. You can see the elevated green. When the wind is up

:12:33. > :12:48.it sweeps across the 4. Always very pleased to get off here with a four.

:12:49. > :13:09.-- it sweeps across the hole. To the 18th. The very precocious

:13:10. > :13:18.talent from New Zealand, Ko. Again, a number of parts just short, it is

:13:19. > :13:33.a problem. -- putts. 69, good score. APPLAUSE

:13:34. > :13:43.Paula Creamer, she will tap this 1 in. Very elegant lady. 71. APPLAUSE

:13:44. > :14:09.. 1 of the Tees near to the beach. You

:14:10. > :14:15.can smell it in the air. 3 down the right, 1 on the left. You have 2

:14:16. > :14:31.keep it close to the left if you want to get a decent tee shot. --

:14:32. > :14:43.you have to. She reminds me of the sweeps of Harry Weicker. He used to

:14:44. > :14:46.get a couple of cracking ones. He used to run through in conditions

:14:47. > :15:00.like this. She tends to get this sort of flight. She does get a low 1

:15:01. > :15:05.on occasion, which is very effective and links golf. Just failed to

:15:06. > :15:14.control that 1 out of the semi- rough. Just went on a date. But this

:15:15. > :15:26.putt is not overly taxing. -- just went on a bit. Looks good. APPLAUSE

:15:27. > :15:31.He loves his golf, but he likes playing the other game with that

:15:32. > :15:40.funny shaped ball. You all know who he is, Sir Clive Woodward. A good

:15:41. > :15:49.player, I believe. Should be 9. APPLAUSE

:15:50. > :15:55.I remember, he did some work with Melissa Reid. Did he? Working on

:15:56. > :15:59.preparation, and I think mental approach to the game. He is a great

:16:00. > :16:26.motivator, Clive. Yang. 3rd shot, and not a bad 1. Who said

:16:27. > :16:29.not bad? Darned good. APPLAUSE 25 the 4 birdie. Touch left to

:16:30. > :16:31.right. But a definite opportunity here, she has come close in the last

:16:32. > :16:44.few greens. You cannot get much closer without

:16:45. > :16:59.going in. A couple of short putts missed, and no luck on the long

:17:00. > :17:12.ones. She is hanging on. APPLAUSE -- 25 feet birdie.

:17:13. > :17:17.A quick reminder of the significant moments that have seen the lead in

:17:18. > :17:21.the championship chop and change in the last few moments. Mo Martin, 2nd

:17:22. > :17:29.to the 5th, setting up the birdie chance to go 5-under par. The world

:17:30. > :17:34.ranked 125th in the world, best in a Major, just 1 top 30, and that was

:17:35. > :17:41.earlier this year. An unexpected name at the top. Ryu, going for her

:17:42. > :17:45.5th win since becoming a professional in 2001. She dropped on

:17:46. > :17:52.the next 1 to go to 4-under par. Inbee Park this is the 12, birdie,

:17:53. > :17:56.deadly with the putter. She dropped off the pace a little bit earlier

:17:57. > :18:02.this year and the putter, but she is back and how. She won 6 events last

:18:03. > :18:07.year. 3 of the Majors, and the 1st Korean to win the LPGA Tour Player

:18:08. > :18:12.of the Year award. Some very, very good company for Mo Martin at the

:18:13. > :18:21.top. She is holding her own so far at the women's British Open.

:18:22. > :18:38.A little problem here. A little bit of an upslope. Nice lie. Plenty on

:18:39. > :18:44.this green to run the ball on. Got to be a bit of a rocket launcher. 1

:18:45. > :18:50.of the hybrid clubs. Bunkers left and right. This is an occasion where

:18:51. > :18:56.you don't want to hit it too far. If you can swing smoothly and get the

:18:57. > :19:03.ball shooting low, it will run. More of a chance of chasing it than

:19:04. > :19:08.lofting it all the way. Spot on, she also has to go a little bit down the

:19:09. > :19:13.shaft. She does not want the club tangled up. It is easy to take it

:19:14. > :19:20.left. I think if she can get less loft on it she would take it, but

:19:21. > :19:25.she has just got to take it out of here. It is bound to go a little bit

:19:26. > :19:36.higher than she would like. She has got a chance. She certainly got it

:19:37. > :19:40.away. It flew up. Not a real chaser, but it looks a beauty. And it is.

:19:41. > :19:45.That is a great strike. Good balance. Do not go too far. No, it

:19:46. > :20:04.is all right. Excellent. Norway's Suzann Pettersen. 2nd at

:20:05. > :20:09.the 14th. And with the putter from off the green. Looks like a good

:20:10. > :20:19.decision. APPLAUSE Almost going in. It is a golf which

:20:20. > :20:26.is pretty alien to players from the US. They quickly get used to it. Mo

:20:27. > :20:33.Martin putting from about 30 yards off the 18th green early in the

:20:34. > :20:41.week. Inbee Park at the 13th. Slowly back, and smack it. That will be

:20:42. > :20:55.good if it comes a little bit more, a little bit more. Excellent shot. I

:20:56. > :20:58.say. 50,000 miles of beach and you come to the golf course to

:20:59. > :21:09.sunbathe. I suppose that is the new trend. Perfect tee shot. 7-iron. The

:21:10. > :21:25.flag. You have to use the contours to bring the ball into the flag. --

:21:26. > :21:35.166 to the flag. Very pedestrian. Very kind. She is the walking

:21:36. > :21:42.official with this final pairing. CHUCKLES

:21:43. > :21:52.I bet he jumps into a puddle with a pair of new shoes and, as well --

:21:53. > :22:04.new shoes on, as well. This is for birdie. 17th hole. Well done. Bit of

:22:05. > :22:29.a struggle. She still gave it a good old hit. Amelia Lewis at the 12th.

:22:30. > :22:34.This is for birdie. APPLAUSE I have seen quite a few defensive

:22:35. > :22:37.putts. Very many, nearly everyone has been short. I can understand

:22:38. > :22:45.that when the greens are travelling at this speed. Just an extra 3 feet

:22:46. > :22:57.of speed on these putts. No more than that. Otherwise we would see a

:22:58. > :23:01.lot more go in. Birdie and an eagle. That brighten things up after

:23:02. > :23:16.dropping two strokes on the 1st two holes. -- brightened. A bit of

:23:17. > :23:23.trouble here. Trying to scramble. That was a 4th shot. Under the

:23:24. > :23:27.weather little bit today, Jessica. And a little bit under the weather

:23:28. > :23:35.and this hole. There have been some problems with those grass banks.

:23:36. > :23:42.From the US, the daughter of Peter Gordon, a tennis great. Couple of

:23:43. > :23:46.wins on the LPGA Tour. She won Australia couple of years ago, she

:23:47. > :23:59.won the season-opening event in the Bahamas, which is a lovely place to

:24:00. > :24:02.kick things off. -- Peter Korda. I wonder if her father tried to

:24:03. > :24:06.encourage her to play tennis, or even discouraged her. I'm sure she

:24:07. > :24:16.has had a lovely life travelling with him. Ahn has a 7-iron. Uphill,

:24:17. > :24:19.into about 7 or 8 yards of breeze. It has got to be a mighty hit with a

:24:20. > :24:47.7-iron. Just on the very edge. Almost level

:24:48. > :25:10.with the flag. Uphill all the way from Martin. Runaway. APPLAUSE

:25:11. > :25:14.Another 1 of those defensive putts. Well, she was a long way away, so

:25:15. > :25:22.you can't say that. In fact, it was well judged. APPLAUSE

:25:23. > :25:40.Back to leading by 1. 113 to the pin. Ryu hit it a long

:25:41. > :25:44.way up here. I think she is not too sure what the wind is doing, not too

:25:45. > :26:15.sure if she will get a flyer. I think she had a 9-iron.

:26:16. > :26:28.Much easier looking shot, if you can see into the heart of the green. But

:26:29. > :26:35.that was not a very good 1. Her caddy's name is Tom Watson. Tom

:26:36. > :26:42.Watson? That is not a bad name. If the player, Tom Watson. Beatriz

:26:43. > :26:50.Recari for a very long birdie putt. -- good player, Tom Watson. You

:26:51. > :27:04.choose the wrong hole to do that and you end up with 1 of these coming

:27:05. > :27:14.back. 13th hole, Inbee Park, a birdie to get to 5-under par. Inbee

:27:15. > :27:20.Park, close to tying the lead. She does not show much emotion on the

:27:21. > :27:23.golf course. But she has told me in the past that she gets nervous, gets

:27:24. > :27:31.excited, she is feeling it, but she just does not show it. The work

:27:32. > :27:36.ethic, I don't know if it is the same for the Asian women who play

:27:37. > :27:44.golf, but I have read almost horrendous stories about the time

:27:45. > :27:53.they spend chipping, and parting from an early age. -- putting. Is

:27:54. > :27:56.that to your knowledge, as well? We have seen the American players

:27:57. > :28:00.coming back into the frame. They were spurred on by the Solheim cup

:28:01. > :28:03.performance, from the Europeans at the end of last year when they got

:28:04. > :28:09.beaten for the 1st time on home soil. The Europeans came over and

:28:10. > :28:13.beat them at Colorado golf club. I think for a long time players from

:28:14. > :28:18.Europe and the US were bored of people saying, why are you not

:28:19. > :28:26.beating the Asian players? And it's spurred them on. It became a talking

:28:27. > :28:29.point. -- it spurred them on. Beatriz Recari for par. Well done.

:28:30. > :28:50.APPLAUSE Suzann Pettersen at the 15th. Hard

:28:51. > :28:55.hole. Took its toll yesterday. Waiting for 15 minutes on this hole.

:28:56. > :28:59.There was talk of slow play. Could not do anything about it. It is 1 of

:29:00. > :29:07.the wonders of the golfing world for me. Nothing will happen until the

:29:08. > :29:13.players choose to speed it up. It does not matter how much fiddling

:29:14. > :29:17.about happens. The players themselves have to have a meeting

:29:18. > :29:24.and decided they are not happy about it. Happens in all sports, in

:29:25. > :29:30.cricket, they bowl lots of overs, in tennis they play lots of six, it is

:29:31. > :29:36.just becoming very tedious. The supporters pay a lot of money to

:29:37. > :29:41.watch it. You are looking aghast. I am not, I agree and I hang on to

:29:42. > :29:52.your every word. Tell that to Charlie! CHUCKLES

:29:53. > :29:56.The Texas wedge again for Ryu. Always difficult to judge the pace

:29:57. > :30:06.when you come across different lengths of grass. Could have done

:30:07. > :30:10.with a touch more. She has suddenly been struggling. And our ago she was

:30:11. > :30:16.going along quite joyously, then misjudgements around the green...

:30:17. > :30:28.They have not put her out of it yet, but it has put her under unnecessary

:30:29. > :31:03.strain, I feel. Just pulling up short. Cast-iron four.

:31:04. > :31:13.No wonder they take all day to play. Not only be women. The men are

:31:14. > :31:22.even worse. The cavalry is arriving. She has driven into a ditch. Or he

:31:23. > :31:25.has. There is life everywhere. The great tapestry of life. You get out

:31:26. > :31:35.and push it and I'll put my foot under it.

:31:36. > :31:47.Beautifully done. The third time in four holes she has been over the

:31:48. > :31:57.green but got away with it. Just one behind. She seems to have had a few

:31:58. > :32:06.opportunities. She is cheery though. Come on, you can do it. Oh, she is

:32:07. > :32:19.waiting for him. Not quite finished yet. Run out of gas, maybe. Those

:32:20. > :32:29.women drivers! Saviour postage stamps! -- save your postage stamps!

:32:30. > :32:34.Yes, but Peter, he probably put in the problem in the first place. I

:32:35. > :32:45.don't know where they are going now. I wouldn't go in there. You might

:32:46. > :32:51.find Tarzana. -- Tarzan. Shergar! Lord Lucan! Here we are, back to

:32:52. > :33:06.reality and sanity. A lucky bounce there for Amelia

:33:07. > :33:13.Lewis. This 13th as moved itself into the number one position for a

:33:14. > :33:17.whole is ranked in difficulty. This is like one of those Scottish

:33:18. > :33:33.rallies. I don't know where I know she is going. Perhaps she is on

:33:34. > :33:38.Safari. I wouldn't go in there if I were you. There are crocodiles in

:33:39. > :33:46.another hundred yards. Where on earth is he going? I don't think he

:33:47. > :33:49.has been on a golf course before. All you need now is to clip a couple

:33:50. > :33:57.of old age pensioners and you have got the jackpot. Granada out on the

:33:58. > :34:26.peaceful calm of the 12th tee. That one will skip off the back. It

:34:27. > :34:36.is pretty much pin hi. -- hi. Suzann Pettersen at the 15th. You have got

:34:37. > :34:42.to be careful here. You do not want to lay it far. This looks as if she

:34:43. > :35:07.is going to I could only about 80 or 90 yards. -- going to whack it.

:35:08. > :35:35.173. Perfect. Two loops of nine here at Royal Birkdale. The first and

:35:36. > :35:40.ninth near the clubhouse. She has taken an eternity to decide what to

:35:41. > :35:42.do here. I have a feeling, going on the form of the last couple of

:35:43. > :35:51.holes, she is going to be aggressive. She will probably be

:35:52. > :35:55.trying to smack it over the bunker. She is leaning like she has hit it

:35:56. > :36:12.right. Way up there. Absolute beauty.

:36:13. > :36:24.Mo Martin finding the heart of yet another green. After a slightly

:36:25. > :36:28.nervy bogey, bogey start, she has done well. Not really accustomed to

:36:29. > :36:32.this rarefied atmosphere of being in the lead at a championship. So far

:36:33. > :36:40.she is holding her own very well indeed. Doesn't the course log

:36:41. > :36:50.Bonnie? It is presented well. -- doesn't the course look Bonnie? The

:36:51. > :36:57.18th, Damon Laura Davies. -- Damon Laura Davies.

:36:58. > :37:26.A little bit of good fortune. Caught the angle.

:37:27. > :37:40.Crisply struck by Suzann Pettersen. Slightly wayward. Nice reception

:37:41. > :37:47.there for this group coming onto the green. That kestrel is looking for

:37:48. > :37:53.his 11 cis, is the? He is right over your head will stop --. I still

:37:54. > :38:25.cannot see it! Well, we can see it. Good putt from Lewis. She plays both

:38:26. > :38:36.tours. She is a travelling American. Back to the ninth green. The final

:38:37. > :38:43.pair. They started at 12:35pm. They have been about two hours. In modern

:38:44. > :38:45.parlance that is not too bad. But in days gone by it would be considered

:38:46. > :39:18.rather slow. This is one of the more exposed

:39:19. > :39:27.putting macro services. -- putting surfaces. It has only been cut once.

:39:28. > :39:38.Sometimes the ball seems to hobble off the face and bobbles a little

:39:39. > :39:40.bit. Another one short. That is where the old expression, never up,

:39:41. > :39:52.never in comes from. Beatrice Reka Eisai 's she is

:39:53. > :40:00.enjoying her golf again this year. -- Beatriz Recari. She has changed

:40:01. > :40:02.coaches. She is enjoying herself on the golf course again and that

:40:03. > :40:56.counts for a lot. The greens are drying out. There is

:40:57. > :41:02.a little noise when it bounces -- when the ball bounces. A little bit

:41:03. > :41:22.of a bite. Mo Martin for a birdie at the ninth. Time and time again we

:41:23. > :41:24.have seen them online. Nine holes completed. After a shaky start, not

:41:25. > :41:35.bad at all. She leads by one. Interesting. Mary Poppins. Laura

:41:36. > :42:30.from the back of the 18th. Laura Davies in her 30th appearance

:42:31. > :42:34.in the championship. Emma Talley, the reigning US amateur champion, is

:42:35. > :42:42.three over today. Four over for the championship. Georgia Hall, six over

:42:43. > :42:49.today. She is three shots behind Emma Talley of the United States.

:42:50. > :43:52.That is in the race for the Smiths solver.

:43:53. > :44:05.Oh, Suzanne. That was not very long at all. Perhaps that is why she has

:44:06. > :44:08.only won two majors, Maureen. This fairy tales a left to right. The

:44:09. > :44:28.wind is also going from left to right.

:44:29. > :44:38.This is a diabolically fiendish pin position. Dreamt up by a

:44:39. > :44:48.particularly troubled mind, I think. She has taken a minute and a half to

:44:49. > :44:50.have a look at it. A little softer and that was good. But now she has

:44:51. > :45:23.left herself a tweaker. Our little butterfly. This looks

:45:24. > :45:53.about the same length as the one that Suzanne has just missed.

:45:54. > :46:11.Straight back up the hill. Right-to-left. Array! That is more

:46:12. > :46:15.like it. Just made it. It looks like anything that finish left of that

:46:16. > :46:19.hole was seriously difficult? Absolutely right, Maureen. It was

:46:20. > :46:22.not easy to tell from the fairway that it was white -- right in the

:46:23. > :46:44.rich. -- reach. Not a very attacking putt from

:46:45. > :46:51.Lewis. She opened with a couple of bogeys. Birdied five, got an eagle

:46:52. > :46:55.at six. And she has had a string of Pars since. Very confident

:46:56. > :47:08.performance from the American. Currently joint fourth place, three

:47:09. > :47:18.behind the leader. Just pacey. Look where that has gone too. -- to. A

:47:19. > :47:28.reasonable second and you have now got a hefty putt for a five. Mo

:47:29. > :47:43.Martin going to find that her lead is going to extend. She is going to

:47:44. > :47:45.drop at least one shot here. She is joint second with Inbee Park, two

:47:46. > :48:05.behind Mo Martin. The wind is slightly freshening. It

:48:06. > :48:25.is getting a little cooler. Darkening clouds above us.

:48:26. > :48:33.She is beautifully immersed in simply playing her own game. If you

:48:34. > :48:45.have got your own game, and hers is very individual, you have got to do

:48:46. > :48:55.that. Laura at the 18th. This is for a birdie. 72. It is in! Well done.

:48:56. > :49:01.Two birdies in the last four holds for Laura Davies. -- the last four

:49:02. > :49:23.halls. Delightful. Looks very sound indeed.

:49:24. > :49:51.She is swinging well now. Stacy Lewis with her second shot

:49:52. > :49:54.into 17. Birdied the last. Level par for the championship. That is going

:49:55. > :50:07.to be gobbled up by the greedy bunker. That is her day 's work.

:50:08. > :50:14.Three birdies, a couple of dropped shots.

:50:15. > :50:35.She will not be far-away at the end of the day.

:50:36. > :50:44.159 to this pin. She gives it a mighty clubber. It has just rolled

:50:45. > :51:06.off the back left. Not too bad. If you were playing there, Mark,

:51:07. > :51:16.what would you hit of this tee? I would hit probably an eight iron.

:51:17. > :51:20.Yes. It is a fair old right. -- ride. I don't think I have ever

:51:21. > :51:30.played anything other than a four iron on this whole. I cannot believe

:51:31. > :51:39.the women are hitting a Giants. That is a magnificent shot. -- eight

:51:40. > :51:57.irons. Glorious shot. Beautiful swing.

:51:58. > :52:26.Look at that, Maureen. A big swing of the shoulder. -- off. To the

:52:27. > :52:39.tent. Mo Martin. Birdie opportunity. Yes, and it is one, too.

:52:40. > :52:50.Well done! Perfect speed. Perfect line. I think the best putting

:52:51. > :52:57.exhibition I have ever seen here was Ian Baker-Finch when he won the open

:52:58. > :53:02.here. He was out in 28. The greens were a bit untidy. Were you playing

:53:03. > :53:09.in that one? Lemaitre I was. It was unbelievable. -- I was. In 19 806I

:53:10. > :53:24.played with Christy O'Connor junior and he had a pretty impressive first

:53:25. > :53:26.nine. -- in 1986, I played with. We have seen many lost opportunities so

:53:27. > :53:44.far today. Well, it is very much a case of as

:53:45. > :53:53.you were, with Mo Martin re-establishing her three shot lead.

:53:54. > :54:09.This is for Beatriz Recari to reduce the deficit. Just a hair of movement

:54:10. > :54:13.from left to right. Well done. Looking at this 11th pin, it looks

:54:14. > :54:17.as if it is leaning out of the green. It is a very fruity position.

:54:18. > :54:32.I have never seen one leaning over on the putting surface.

:54:33. > :54:46.25 feet uphill. A touch of fade on this. The course owes her. Just miss

:54:47. > :55:02.read it. -- she did not read that properly.

:55:03. > :55:22.This is an awkward one. It may not be too bad. She is very close to the

:55:23. > :55:29.front. A little too sharp. If it was left of the pin it might have rolled

:55:30. > :55:33.back to the hole. They should not be much in this one after that

:55:34. > :55:44.beautiful tee shot. Absolutely correct. Basically straight uphill.

:55:45. > :55:57.It was a marvellous tee shot. Second place on her own. The two behind

:55:58. > :56:04.Martin. The Americans would call that a great ability to bounce back.

:56:05. > :56:08.It is setting up nicely for tomorrow, Maureen. There will be a

:56:09. > :56:16.good clutch of players within four shots, maybe five. Yes, the biggest

:56:17. > :56:19.mover of the day, Charley Hull, has moved herself from five over to one

:56:20. > :56:28.under. She is currently enjoying seven. Nine players under par as we

:56:29. > :56:29.speak. There are the score is going through at the bottom. You can pick

:56:30. > :56:59.out your favourite players. Our leader. Mo Martin 11th tee.

:57:00. > :57:05.Little drainage ditches, dry ditches, left and right. I am sure

:57:06. > :57:17.they have not filled them in over the years. Place-macro. -- Beatriz

:57:18. > :57:32.Recari. A bit right, is it? Going little down the right. Yes. It may

:57:33. > :57:44.not be too bad. Suzann Pettersen on 16.

:57:45. > :58:00.She wants to erase the nasty memory of the six on the last. She started

:58:01. > :58:07.the ball to straight at that pace. She remains at level par. We were

:58:08. > :58:24.just watch this third shot from Park at the 17th. Slow pitch. Hope she

:58:25. > :58:31.goes. A little bit unlucky. Tom Abbott has returned. Thomas,

:58:32. > :58:37.welcome. Thank you, Peter. Stacy Lewis with a birdie putt at 17

:58:38. > :58:45.having come out of the bunker. She has left it short. Just a par at the

:58:46. > :58:53.17th for Stacey. She is six shots behind. She is still going to be a

:58:54. > :58:56.danger on Sunday. Very much so. We have got if you heavyweight golfers,

:58:57. > :59:04.and I mean that in the nicest possible way, massing behind the

:59:05. > :59:06.leader, Mo Martin. Proven winners, proven major winners, and

:59:07. > :59:16.experienced a discount when you get down to the Sunday in a major. Here

:59:17. > :59:21.is one of those major winners. Just tiptoeing into the heavy stuff. A

:59:22. > :59:54.little bit in the lap of the gods. Now she has got what looks like a

:59:55. > :00:00.three wood. Bonkers on the right. If you go in there you are going

:00:01. > :00:08.nowhere. -- bonkers. Difficult tee shot. Once you have done that, it is

:00:09. > :00:33.a pretty long second shot as well. 430 yards, this whole. -- hole.

:00:34. > :00:44.That should be pretty much perfect. Not the worst live. But the grass is

:00:45. > :00:50.quite prettily, so could grab the club -- prickly. It is a demon, DOS

:00:51. > :01:09.to -- not the worst lie. -- it is a

:01:10. > :01:14.demon pin. Looked nasty, looks like it could be stuck in the long grass

:01:15. > :01:23.up there. It was always a danger. We thought it might snag. Angela

:01:24. > :01:32.Stanford. This is for birdie at 18. Lovely. Birdie at 17, as well, so a

:01:33. > :01:43.great finish to her round. APPLAUSE Solid 70.

:01:44. > :01:51.Back to the 11th. Mo Martin. Championship leader. Two shots

:01:52. > :02:20.ahead. These two players will both have

:02:21. > :02:28.their work cut out for them to make four. They have quite a job for them

:02:29. > :02:33.selves making 5, in some ways. Quite surprised with what she was trying

:02:34. > :02:38.to do there. Yes, she just did not seem to get it quite well. Whether

:02:39. > :02:53.the club snag a little bit. Or maybe she was just a little bit

:02:54. > :02:59.adventurous with it. We have seen Suzann Pettersen's pre- shot

:03:00. > :03:05.routine. She rehearses the opposite. APPLAUSE

:03:06. > :03:17.Then, hopefully on the swing, she gets the ideal in between. And

:03:18. > :03:21.that's perfect. That was brave. Finishing on the left-hand side of

:03:22. > :03:24.this the way, she has to come right over. You can see them standing on

:03:25. > :03:40.the top. 1st player from mainland China to

:03:41. > :03:49.qualify for the LPGA Tour. Then she went on to win a Major. A couple of

:03:50. > :03:54.years ago, that was. This is Emma Talley, 1 of the two amateurs who

:03:55. > :04:04.have made the cut. The other 1 being George Hall. These two in a tussle

:04:05. > :04:32.for the prize for the best amateur. Steady, steady. 50 yards short and

:04:33. > :04:38.left. If she goes there, she would have hit it into the rough. Maybe in

:04:39. > :04:54.the hazard. Yes, there is a ditch behind those sponsors boards. She

:04:55. > :05:00.has gone from 1 horrible lie to somewhere really thick and tangling.

:05:01. > :05:07.Where the flag is cut a yard short, she could go down the face of it.

:05:08. > :05:12.She is almost looking to get this 10 feet wide of the pin if she can. She

:05:13. > :05:29.needs the help of Tom Watson to get this 1 out. You have to accelerate

:05:30. > :05:43.the club through. Anything inside 12 feet is good. My word. Actually went

:05:44. > :05:48.backwards. I knew it was going to be tricky. It was such a terrible,

:05:49. > :05:52.terrible life. She did well not to double hit, because the ball came

:05:53. > :05:59.right back towards the club. She had to withdraw very sharply. Just

:06:00. > :06:03.having another look at it now. She takes a decent backswing. She does

:06:04. > :06:14.her best to accelerate. The ball has actually come back. With a great

:06:15. > :06:17.view here of the difficulty, she hasn't even tackled that part of the

:06:18. > :06:22.equation yet. She is just coping with the lie at the moment. The

:06:23. > :06:42.slope, really, is at a 45? angle. Even if this was a perfect life, it

:06:43. > :06:47.would be difficult to control. -- 45 degrees angle. She has left herself

:06:48. > :06:50.a slaughter of a putt. You would have thought it was almost

:06:51. > :06:55.impossible to leave that 1 short on the high side of the flag. That is

:06:56. > :07:05.four played. The putt will need a strong nerve.

:07:06. > :07:21.2nd shot. That 1 is trundling up the nicely. How about this? -- up there.

:07:22. > :07:25.A short birdie putt coming up. She's 21st in the world. Very good

:07:26. > :07:36.player. She does not play many events in the US or Europe. Back to

:07:37. > :07:42.17. Talley. Oh no. She goes to the University of Alabama. That is where

:07:43. > :07:45.Stefanie Meadow was educated. Stephanie, from Northern Ireland,

:07:46. > :07:48.just turned professional. She did not make the cut here. -- Stefanie

:07:49. > :08:08.Meadow, from Northern Ireland. A quick look at that arrival. 3

:08:09. > :08:12.behind Talley at this stage. An eagle could do her some great good.

:08:13. > :08:21.And that is a beautiful putt. APPLAUSE

:08:22. > :08:25.A very fine closing birdie. We just watch her tap in. Well done, well

:08:26. > :08:33.played. APPLAUSE At the moment, two shots in it. All

:08:34. > :08:43.to play for tomorrow. This would be an all-American two putt. Putting

:08:44. > :08:46.right over the top. She has got the wrong side. Either side was going to

:08:47. > :08:51.be tricky, but that leaves her with a very tricky 2nd putt. You hit it

:08:52. > :08:56.into the ditch on the left, too aggressive for the lie. Last

:08:57. > :09:04.difficult hole on the course. A couple of par-5 holes to go. She has

:09:05. > :09:16.about 75 yards. There is a bunker right between her and the pin. I am

:09:17. > :09:22.guessing the championship must have somebody painting faces for the

:09:23. > :09:30.youngsters today. I think it is so expertly done, so I don't think that

:09:31. > :09:35.could have been the parents doing that. With the greatest respect. It

:09:36. > :09:44.looks beautiful. I could never have done that. Could be seeing some big

:09:45. > :09:48.changes at the top of the leaderboard. So Yeon Ryu is

:09:49. > :09:53.struggling. Mo Martin has a bit of work to do for her par. And Inbee

:09:54. > :09:59.Park has not taken advantage of that. She is sneaking down the

:10:00. > :10:02.leaderboard. Earlier this week Inbee Park said she really wanted to win

:10:03. > :10:13.this title to complete her career grand slam. She might have a bit

:10:14. > :10:20.more work to do. This is very tough. Uphill and downhill the other side.

:10:21. > :10:31.It is so fast on the other side. It is either in or 3 feet by. APPLAUSE

:10:32. > :10:37.After having all of those problems in the rough she scrambles a bogey.

:10:38. > :10:55.But not too much reaction. Yes, she says. She is creeping inexorably

:10:56. > :11:02.towards actually playing this shot. She could choose where to drop it

:11:03. > :11:06.within two club lengths. Going over a cup of the advertising hoardings,

:11:07. > :11:09.she cannot drop to the side of them. -- a couple of. She must not

:11:10. > :11:20.compound the error is she has already made. She needs to get on

:11:21. > :11:24.and make double-bogey. Sensible play wasn't having anything to do with

:11:25. > :11:35.that bunker that was between her and the flag. Mo Martin, that is a

:11:36. > :11:42.dropped shot. It all came from the approach. She left herself too much

:11:43. > :11:51.work. Yes, and she still has a little bit of work to do there.

:11:52. > :11:56.Superb tee shot from Suzann Pettersen. This is easily within

:11:57. > :12:11.reach for her. Flag today fairly central.

:12:12. > :12:19.Keep going. Well done. APPLAUSE That will be good now. It should

:12:20. > :12:29.feed into the middle. Fine shot. That is where we just saw Emma

:12:30. > :12:47.Talley a few moments ago. Oh. Just a four putt. Ridiculous pin position.

:12:48. > :12:54.Mo Martin with a double-bogey, and now she is tied for the lead with So

:12:55. > :12:58.Yeon Ryu. But So Yeon Ryu is in some trouble. She has dropped a couple of

:12:59. > :13:11.shots. Some big changes at the top of the leaderboard in the last few

:13:12. > :13:22.minutes. So, this is going to be a tap in 5 4 Amelia Lewis. -- for

:13:23. > :13:32.Amelia Lewis. APPLAUSE 4 years as a professional. Yes, it

:13:33. > :13:37.is going to be a very quick stay at the top of the leaderboard for So

:13:38. > :13:47.Yeon Ryu. 25 feet, touch of left-to-right. That is all she

:13:48. > :14:00.should have done, and that is exactly what she did do. APPLAUSE

:14:01. > :14:09.It is going to be a double for So Yeon Ryu. She falls back to 2-under

:14:10. > :14:27.par. A group of players at 2-under par. After a rather weak approach,

:14:28. > :14:39.this is for birdie. Beautiful roll up to there. Inbee Park is going to

:14:40. > :14:50.remain at 3-under. She is in 2nd place on her own, 1 behind Mo

:14:51. > :14:57.Martin. This is to get to 3-under par.

:14:58. > :15:06.She is tied for 2nd, just 1 shot behind Mo Martin. APPLAUSE

:15:07. > :15:11.Quietly going about her business. She seems pretty happy though,

:15:12. > :15:16.doesn't she, Ahn. She plays on the Japanese ladies Tour. Suzann

:15:17. > :15:23.Pettersen, this would be a significant move. Igor putt. Emma

:15:24. > :15:41.Talley took 3 putts from this side of the hole just a moment ago. It is

:15:42. > :15:45.running well. -- eagle putt. Two of the lead. After bogeys at 13 and 15

:15:46. > :15:51.that is just the injection she needed. To the par-3/12 hole.

:15:52. > :16:17.Beatriz Recari. Dash to the par-3, There is the current situation. Four

:16:18. > :16:22.Major champion in the top 10 in the shape of Inbee Park, Suzann

:16:23. > :16:31.Pettersen, So Yeon Ryu, and Shanshan Feng. And Charley Hull there. Had

:16:32. > :16:32.her feet up in the clubhouse for most of the day, and here is

:16:33. > :16:48.Shanshan Feng. So exciting, worthies last couple of

:16:49. > :16:55.holes. -- were these. It is a good attempt to 17 by the Chinese player.

:16:56. > :16:59.Just settle down. I think tomorrow, with the way the leaderboard is

:17:00. > :17:06.looking, it is not over. It is a real chance to make up some ground

:17:07. > :17:11.in the last few holes. 169. Ahn just put off by the crowd moving around

:17:12. > :17:15.the corner. They were not making a lot of noise, but they just caught

:17:16. > :17:24.her eye. She has stuck to her game plan beautifully today. She is a

:17:25. > :17:29.really jolly personality. Smooth, beautiful swings, these two.

:17:30. > :17:35.Different personalities and shapes. Seems to be the 20th 7-iron of the

:17:36. > :17:41.day for her, and this is another terrific shot. The wind has just

:17:42. > :17:45.turned a fraction. Have you been impressed by her? I must admit, I

:17:46. > :17:49.have not really seen her play before, because she plays most of

:17:50. > :18:00.her golf in Japan. Yes, very impressed by both of these girls. I

:18:01. > :18:09.don't know how well I you are a -- Ayaka Uehara plays, but she has been

:18:10. > :18:15.doing quite well here. Not a good tee shot for Mo Martin. Both Beatriz

:18:16. > :18:28.Recari and Mo Martin missing the green at the par-3, 12th hole. So

:18:29. > :18:32.Yeon Ryu, again, taking most of the time. She already had a minute when

:18:33. > :18:40.they were lining up. She needs another minute to get settled. She

:18:41. > :18:42.is also hitting a 7-iron. 169 is a long way, unless the wind is

:18:43. > :19:07.helping, but I don't believe it is helping right now.

:19:08. > :19:15.APPLAUSE Even when the players do hit it flat

:19:16. > :19:28.out, it still looks very elegant. Everything is in balance. You can

:19:29. > :19:32.get some typical lies in these particular bunkers. That was

:19:33. > :19:33.exceptionally well done. You really have to get it out of there.

:19:34. > :19:55.APPLAUSE Stacy Lewis. Rolling that 1 in on

:19:56. > :20:04.the home green. APPLAUSE That is her days work, solid 70. --

:20:05. > :20:14.day's work. On the same mark as Charley Hull. That could be a

:20:15. > :20:30.possible pairing for tomorrow. Up to the 18th, Suzann Pettersen, coming

:20:31. > :20:35.off the eagle on the 17th. Is it going to stay short of that bunker?

:20:36. > :20:39.Just short of the rough. That is fine, that is absolutely fine from

:20:40. > :20:48.Suzann Pettersen. May have another chance at an eagle. This is a real

:20:49. > :21:00.roller-coaster switchback effort of a putt. Come on. Well, she never

:21:01. > :21:11.gave it enough to really travel significantly over the 1st bump. It

:21:12. > :21:19.has leapt to the right-hand side. Back to the 12th, Mo Martin has her

:21:20. > :21:26.2nd. You can see the ball of Beatriz Recari on the green. APPLAUSE

:21:27. > :21:31.Beatriz Recari will have a putt for a par. We saw her coming out of the

:21:32. > :21:37.bunker. Mo Martin will also try and make her 3. Plenty of changes on

:21:38. > :21:41.this leaderboard over the last 20 minutes also. Now we have Mo Martin

:21:42. > :21:48.in front by 1. Inbee Park, 3-under the bidet, just 1 behind, Suzann

:21:49. > :21:59.Pettersen. And she is in a good position on the 18th. -- Inbee Park,

:22:00. > :22:07.3-under for the day. Great recovery by Shanshan Feng after a fairly

:22:08. > :22:12.ropey 1st putt. She moves to 2-under par. On the same mark now is Suzann

:22:13. > :22:34.Pettersen, Amelia Lewis, So Yeon Ryu, and Beatriz Recari. -- is --

:22:35. > :22:43.as. Just a tiny sliver of left-to-right. Keep still. The boat

:22:44. > :23:06.is rocking a little bit at the back, Ken. APPLAUSE

:23:07. > :23:12.So Yeon Ryu for a birdie at 14. Trying to bounce back after that

:23:13. > :23:28.double-bogey. APPLAUSE Should be a par for So Yeon Ryu.

:23:29. > :23:47.Amelia Lewis at 16. Come on. Flag a long way back on 16. We have not

:23:48. > :23:54.seen many players reach it. Important putt, this, for Mo Martin.

:23:55. > :24:03.It does move to the right. You have to launch it. Oh dear, pushed it.

:24:04. > :24:21.Just inside. And Mo Martin falls back to 3-under par. She is now in a

:24:22. > :24:33.tiny for the lead. -- tie for the lead. This is for an outright lead

:24:34. > :24:48.for Ahn. I am not sure she is aware of it. It has got a bit of pace on

:24:49. > :24:56.it. At the 18th, this is Emma Talley for a birdie. Good roll on that 1,

:24:57. > :25:00.but not able to get it to drop. APPLAUSE

:25:01. > :25:08.Still, good performance from the amateur, who is just in her 2nd year

:25:09. > :25:16.of university. Just finishing up her 2nd year of university. APPLAUSE

:25:17. > :25:20.76 today, she will look for a nice finish tomorrow, trying to win the

:25:21. > :25:28.amateur prize. Battling with Georgia Hall from England. Bit of

:25:29. > :25:39.right-to-left for Ahn. Inside the hole, though. Oh. APPLAUSE

:25:40. > :25:48.Through the side door, but they all count. She remains joint leader at

:25:49. > :25:59.3-under par. Suzann Pettersen at the 18th. Par 5. Looking a little

:26:00. > :26:05.concerned. But she shouldn't be. That is very good indeed. She has

:26:06. > :26:10.put on the brakes. She is going to finish up exactly where Charley Hull

:26:11. > :26:17.did. Suzann Pettersen looking to do the same. Spoke to her coach earlier

:26:18. > :26:22.this week, and he was saying that Suzann Pettersen was getting into

:26:23. > :26:26.some really good form. Playing 1 at the beginning of the year. She had

:26:27. > :26:59.the injury problems, now back to some top form, and it is showing.

:27:00. > :27:09.Bunkers down the right. A good time for me to welcome back Peter Alliss.

:27:10. > :27:24.You are leaving us at a very crucial time of the afternoon. At this stage

:27:25. > :27:36.you have to gather yourself together. Make some pars, get some

:27:37. > :27:44.birdie opportunities. A par here. She has been very steady. The great

:27:45. > :27:51.thing -- the main thing is not to drop any. Just 1 or 2 birdies and

:27:52. > :28:11.you are right there. Looks like a cleaner, better hit to me.

:28:12. > :28:17.You can see how they have shaped that the way for some definition. It

:28:18. > :28:34.makes the golf course look a bit more pleasing to the high. Dash to

:28:35. > :28:41.the high -- to the eye. So Yeon Ryu has the power to get it into macro.

:28:42. > :28:53.Has she got the accuracy? -- to get it in two. She has stopped a few

:28:54. > :28:57.times today. Either she has been put off by something, all she has had a

:28:58. > :29:37.thought -- all she has -- or. Inbee Park. This is for the outright

:29:38. > :29:42.lead. The new putter working well. APPLAUSE

:29:43. > :29:47.Inbee Park, the queen of Serena and 3-time Major winner last season

:29:48. > :30:03.moves to the head of proceedings for the 1st time. -- serene. 1 of the

:30:04. > :30:17.few birdie putts today. She missed a few, but she is coming back. Suzann

:30:18. > :30:20.Pettersen at the last. She is one of five major winners queueing up here

:30:21. > :30:29.in the third round of this major championship. Frustration on the

:30:30. > :30:40.back nine after two bogeys. An eagle on the 17th makes her feel much

:30:41. > :30:53.better. Choosing the putter over one of her more lofted clubs. It is not

:30:54. > :31:12.a bad effort. She does hit the ball quite beautifully, Maureen. I enjoy

:31:13. > :31:26.watching her. Don't be greedy here. It needs to come out sideways. Don't

:31:27. > :31:40.be greedy. Just find the fairway. Up to 18.

:31:41. > :31:52.Good free swing of the putter. That is tracking beautifully. Very fine

:31:53. > :31:54.closing birdie. That will be for 71. And a total of one under. Tied for

:31:55. > :32:18.ninth at the moment. Now, is Beatriz Recari heeding

:32:19. > :32:27.Ken's advice? Of it too safe with that one. -- she was a bit too safe

:32:28. > :32:34.with that one. Suzann Pettersen for a birdie at the final hole. This to

:32:35. > :32:47.go to three under. Well done. Nice round of golf. 68.

:32:48. > :33:17.Very well played. And you can see that that 68 has

:33:18. > :33:28.elevated Suzann Pettersen into joint second place. Inbee Park on the 18th

:33:29. > :33:41.at the moment. A six iron for Martin. Plenty of landing area.

:33:42. > :34:10.The sand. After a good tee shot on the 18th. That will be OK, will it?

:34:11. > :34:19.Oh, it's just found the sand. Just toppled in. Sun-Ju Ahn trying to

:34:20. > :34:31.fire it towards the TV tower. I think she likes it. Very good

:34:32. > :34:49.hitting indeed. 499 yards, this hole. Just a wee draft.

:34:50. > :35:03.Nice little kick off the corner of the bunker. That is three. Things

:35:04. > :35:12.just unravelling a little bit for this last group. Mo Martin has gone

:35:13. > :35:14.double bogey, bogey. Place-macro has gone bogey, bogey and she is on the

:35:15. > :35:54.green in three. -- Beatriz Recari. Good strike. Just held on. Hello,

:35:55. > :35:59.famous Grouse. Oh, another one. The Hague souffl?, don't they? -- the

:36:00. > :36:16.Hague to fly, don't they? The connection sounded good. It has

:36:17. > :36:34.done well. Suzann Pettersen has caught up with

:36:35. > :36:37.Hazel. 68 today, the leader in the

:36:38. > :36:42.clubhouse and a real turnaround in this championship so far. Very much

:36:43. > :36:47.in the thick of things? Yes, it is nice. I have been playing well for

:36:48. > :36:51.three days. It is hard to get going. It is easy to make one sloppy

:36:52. > :36:55.mistake and it takes you right back. I am really enjoying this course. It

:36:56. > :37:03.is the first time I fill it with a good heart. I am just trying to

:37:04. > :37:09.build the brand as I go. Who knows what the weather is going to do

:37:10. > :37:13.tomorrow? From what I have seen it will be nice towards the afternoon.

:37:14. > :37:18.We are gearing up for quite a day tomorrow. Three birdies going out.

:37:19. > :37:25.Frustration with a couple of dropped shots. You got them both back on the

:37:26. > :37:30.17th? There are some tough holes out there. Par is a great score. 13 is

:37:31. > :37:36.one of them. Unfortunately I had three putts to bogey. I felt really

:37:37. > :37:42.in good shape, hitting the ball great. Hopefully I can take all that

:37:43. > :37:46.with me into tomorrow. It has been a difficult year for you. You have had

:37:47. > :37:51.back problems. You missed the first major of the year and missed the cut

:37:52. > :37:56.at the U.S. Open. Is there a determination to make up for lost

:37:57. > :38:00.time? I am sure that is how you feel. It is dreadful when you don't

:38:01. > :38:07.get to play golf and missed the big tournaments that you live and die

:38:08. > :38:14.for. I have been really good now since. I am in good shape. This is

:38:15. > :38:20.the major that you have fed least well in. I am sensing that you have

:38:21. > :38:24.a major victories in America and France, almost the Phil Mickelson

:38:25. > :38:30.thing, that he wants to become a complete golfer by winning on links.

:38:31. > :38:35.Is there a bit like that -- a bit of that in new? There is a bit of

:38:36. > :38:40.wanting to win all five majors until -- before my career is over. You

:38:41. > :38:46.just have to adjust and play smart. Adjust accordingly. Yes, I am right

:38:47. > :38:49.where I want to be for tomorrow. Who knows? I would give it my all

:38:50. > :38:55.tomorrow. At the same time, play smart. We look forward to it. Thank

:38:56. > :39:03.you. Nice to hear from Suzann Pettersen.

:39:04. > :39:10.A big round for her today. This is for the outright lead for Sun-Ju

:39:11. > :39:16.Ahn. A couple of absolutely fantastic shots. She got up this par

:39:17. > :39:54.five in two into the wind. A beautiful role on that. It

:39:55. > :40:10.deserved to drop. It is going to be a bogey at best, however.

:40:11. > :40:26.Lewis with a long putt for an eagle. Two cracking shots at the back of

:40:27. > :40:39.the green. That's six, seven footer for a birdie.

:40:40. > :40:53.Beautiful stroke. That was firm. Very good indeed.

:40:54. > :41:12.Mole Martin. -- Mo Martin. She is only one shot behind. Another one

:41:13. > :41:18.short. Well, there have been at least four, five, six players who

:41:19. > :41:22.will think tonight, I should have done this, I should have done that.

:41:23. > :41:28.A number of them have missed a lot of opportunities. It would be a bit

:41:29. > :41:31.of a cavalry charge tomorrow. -- it will be. And an exciting one. Let's

:41:32. > :41:43.hope it is not spoiled by the weather. A tester for Sun-Ju Ahn to

:41:44. > :41:49.join the lead. Inbee Park is on -4 at the moment. Well done. I thought

:41:50. > :42:06.she had posted. Two Koreans topping the leaderboard at the moment.

:42:07. > :42:28.Just settling down very nicely for tomorrow. Here is Amelia Lewis for a

:42:29. > :42:33.birdie on 17. Yes indeed. Opened with two bogeys. Since then it has

:42:34. > :42:39.been pretty much copybook will stop --. It looks as if she is enjoying

:42:40. > :42:50.herself. No Franz or stresses apparent. -- no frowning.

:42:51. > :42:58.Place-macro to finish off at the 13th. Well done. -- Beatriz Recari.

:42:59. > :43:38.Four behind. Inbee Park on 18. Just sneaking

:43:39. > :43:46.inside the bunker. She is a danger, Maureen. There are a few of them. I

:43:47. > :44:12.thought the ball was going to finish pin hi.

:44:13. > :44:31.She missed a few chances earlier on. Julieta Granada on 16. I thought she

:44:32. > :44:51.had got it. That was unlucky. That will drop her back to one under.

:44:52. > :45:04.Write to the edge of the fairway. -- that was right to the edge of the

:45:05. > :45:15.fairway. A pretty good array of bunkers on this whole. -- hole. Now

:45:16. > :45:43.this group has lost a couple of holes. Six iron, 166.

:45:44. > :46:18.Inbee Park on the 18th. Four under par.

:46:19. > :46:44.The wind just slightly changing angle.

:46:45. > :46:53.I say! I thought that was Sir Bruce Forsyth on the left for a minute.

:46:54. > :46:58.Perhaps it is a relation. Lets worthy puce today, darling! -- let

:46:59. > :47:18.us where the puce today! Five birdies means a lot of dropped

:47:19. > :47:27.shots. Five birdies, six dropped shots.

:47:28. > :47:34.Inbee Park does not often bring her caddie in to help line up the putts.

:47:35. > :47:45.This is to give her the lead on her own in this championship. She

:47:46. > :47:51.started the day at level par. Ideal conditions today. Rain was forecast.

:47:52. > :47:56.Even a little bit of thunder sweeping in from Ireland. Where

:47:57. > :48:01.else? It hasn't arrived, or El Cid has missed us. She has to be careful

:48:02. > :48:16.with this. It is not outside the hole. She has to be firm.

:48:17. > :48:29.That is a couple of those we have seen missed by her. That would keep

:48:30. > :48:38.it tight at the top. It is so easily done.

:48:39. > :48:48.It is still, thank goodness for her, a par. It is not a dropped shot. But

:48:49. > :49:08.it is still going to be in her mind a dropped shot.

:49:09. > :49:22.The same expression on her face. She will be thinking some thoughts. Up

:49:23. > :49:26.to the 16th green. Sun-Ju Ahn. I think she has got a lot of make-up

:49:27. > :49:34.on both sides of that sweater. She gets a fair bit of head movement.

:49:35. > :49:37.That is very perceptive of you, Peter. I have been caught with

:49:38. > :49:57.make-up on me! 50 years ago! She doesn't like it. And that is

:49:58. > :50:07.why. That is worse than being in the bunker, possibly.

:50:08. > :50:15.Mo Martin at the 14th. The ball rolled back of the green. She's

:50:16. > :50:23.struggling. The is struggling, struggling, struggling. The club

:50:24. > :50:44.selection was one short. She is in danger of dropping a shot here.

:50:45. > :50:51.I've got a funny feeling the ball may have moved. I am not sure. She

:50:52. > :51:04.repaired a pitch mark under her ball. I think it may just have

:51:05. > :51:14.toppled... I always think things like that are very unfortunate.

:51:15. > :51:26.She pitched it short and that could be awkward. She was hoping for a

:51:27. > :51:38.round of applause which did not materialise. Still debating as to

:51:39. > :51:46.whether it moved or not. She certainly thought it did. The

:51:47. > :51:56.chances are it did. Has it moved about four feed? No, it has moved

:51:57. > :52:04.about 2.5 millimetres. Was she addressing it or did it move of its

:52:05. > :52:12.own volition? I am sorry, I wasn't paying attention. All, Ken! You will

:52:13. > :52:17.never take over from Clouseau! Or perhaps you will take over from

:52:18. > :52:23.Clouseau! Not the easiest of chips. I would

:52:24. > :52:32.not fancy it. These girls have steely nerves. Not steely enough. It

:52:33. > :52:39.was so much more difficult than if it had found the sand. Letting your

:52:40. > :52:46.mind drift slightly to the fact that you could do that is almost enough

:52:47. > :52:58.to make it happen. Precision strike needed and not forthcoming.

:52:59. > :53:08.Place-macro pudding. -- Beatriz Recari putting up. Ken is staying

:53:09. > :53:13.quite. He does not want to get involved in a legal argument. --

:53:14. > :53:35.quiet. That has gone on about nine feet. No penalty for her.

:53:36. > :53:43.A couple of plays on four under. Inbee Park is completed her round.

:53:44. > :53:48.If you have been with us for the last couple of hours, or indeed when

:53:49. > :53:57.we started out, a number of players missed anything from two fought to

:53:58. > :54:11.six foot putts earlier run. Come on, no. Not this one in. Bit tentative.

:54:12. > :54:19.These greens are fast. They are not easy at all. And other dropped shot.

:54:20. > :54:35.We have seen umpteen putts come macro short. -- come up short. They

:54:36. > :54:39.look extremely fast. They are not easy to judge. They are pretty even.

:54:40. > :54:51.This is a struggle, to get this one close. Yes, downhill, down

:54:52. > :55:03.crosswind. It is not nice, this. Head probably spinning a bit from

:55:04. > :55:04.that jet. -- chip. Steady on. I don't know what happened to the

:55:05. > :55:26.second shot. The decision was the ball had moved

:55:27. > :55:31.but she had not grounded her club. She moves on. Good putt. Well done.

:55:32. > :56:17.Nice three. There is a sandy grave awaking that

:56:18. > :56:25.one. -- awaiting. This would take into the lead should she managed to

:56:26. > :56:37.hole it. It is a tricky one. Who said it was tricky? Who said it was

:56:38. > :56:46.tricky? Straight as an arrow. Seat is just getting warmed up. Three

:56:47. > :56:49.birdies in the last four holes. I like the look of that cartoon on her

:56:50. > :57:00.shirt. I don't know what it does but it looks amusing. Hello, the cockers

:57:01. > :57:15.are out. Serve borders, peddling, doing something odd. -- surfers.

:57:16. > :57:28.This is her fourth shot. Left it in the bunker, we are told.

:57:29. > :57:44.They are devilish bunkers, these links bunkers. They cut very steep.

:57:45. > :57:48.If you get in the corner, no hope. A bunker for every occasion done this

:57:49. > :58:04.hole. You need an accurate tee shot. That was a beauty.

:58:05. > :58:27.A big pot -- putt for a So Yeon Ryu. That has just put a halt to any

:58:28. > :58:40.momentum she was building. Two sixes on this back nine. Both of the par

:58:41. > :58:46.Fords have really hurt. -- par four holes. It has been a day of great

:58:47. > :58:52.change on the third day. Sun-Ju Ahn from Korea, plays on the regular

:58:53. > :58:59.Japanese tour, or she has won three times this year, what an impact she

:59:00. > :59:04.is making here. Run has put her at the top of the leaderboard ahead of

:59:05. > :59:12.Inbee Park, the one we thought may just feature. Amelia Lewis. She has

:59:13. > :59:18.missed five cuts in succession before coming to Britain. She tied

:59:19. > :59:19.for sixth at the Buckinghamshire club last week. She clearly likes

:59:20. > :59:42.the air in Great Britain. That would indeed have been a

:59:43. > :59:52.fighting five. Dropped shots on her opening two holes. No dropped shots

:59:53. > :00:00.since until the last. Sun-Ju Ahn at the 17th. Two fives coming up. The

:00:01. > :00:13.wind had not totally helping but not too much of a hindrance.

:00:14. > :00:27.So Yeon Ryu about to drive. 290 yards. Just in the semi wrath. It

:00:28. > :00:30.looks OK from here. She is taking her time. They have almost caught up

:00:31. > :00:34.with the group in front, which is something. You could actually say

:00:35. > :00:38.they have paced themselves perfectly. She has stopped a few

:00:39. > :01:25.times. Julieta Granada... I thought there

:01:26. > :01:28.was a little bit of a back stop there. The ball did not have quite

:01:29. > :01:51.enough energy to feed back down to the hole. Martin with her second

:01:52. > :01:54.shot at the 15th. Still the way to go. What she would not give for a

:01:55. > :02:09.good finish. -- is still a way. A lot of excitement has happened

:02:10. > :02:17.over the last hour or so in the championship. If you players

:02:18. > :02:19.sneaking up to the top. Beatriz Recari, bit of work still to do.

:02:20. > :02:43.Lewis finishing. APPLAUSE A lot of them could have been a lot

:02:44. > :02:48.better. Quite a few mistakes made earlier on. That has kept them

:02:49. > :03:06.together, of course. It all sets up nicely for tomorrow. Come on,

:03:07. > :03:21.Granada. Granada, I am falling under your spell. In you go. She struggled

:03:22. > :03:26.for a number of seasons following her break-out year in 2006 when she

:03:27. > :03:37.won the million dollar prize. Some good top 10 finishes so far this

:03:38. > :03:53.year. She has hit it in the middle of the right-hand traps, your -- So

:03:54. > :04:03.Yeon Ryu. Knock it out at about 90 yards, that will do. But there is

:04:04. > :04:09.the danger of leaving it in there. 85 yards, pitched to the right of

:04:10. > :04:24.the pin, short and left gives you the easiest putt. APPLAUSE

:04:25. > :04:40.She seemed to dig it out. Looked pretty ominous when the divot flew

:04:41. > :04:43.up. But something majestic. Plenty of deliberations with her caddy. I

:04:44. > :04:51.am not too sure what the discussion is about. Just got to hit it out

:04:52. > :05:03.with not much risk. Exactly like that. Still should be able to get

:05:04. > :05:18.home reasonably from there, I should think, Mark. Good angle. 60 yards,

:05:19. > :05:24.high floater, and not bad. Got it to stop pretty quickly. Yes, not that

:05:25. > :05:28.bad, out of the rough, into the breeze. I think they have been asked

:05:29. > :05:38.to get a riddle and, they are starting to move. -- riddle on. 204

:05:39. > :05:44.yards to the front for Ahn. But it isn't sitting too well. She has got

:05:45. > :05:50.to carry the bunker left up by the green, which is probably a 190 carry

:05:51. > :06:09.out of this lie. This is going to have to be a pure strike. Sounded

:06:10. > :06:16.good. By golly, it is... Oh, stay away, stay away... The bunkers

:06:17. > :06:53.gather and the hole doesn't. Back to the final pairing on the

:06:54. > :06:57.15th. Beatriz Recari will be the 1st 1 to play. This is a really

:06:58. > :07:08.touchy-feely putt downhill. Left to right. Pretty quick. Maximum break.

:07:09. > :07:13.It could go 3 or 4 feet by a few don't get it right around the break

:07:14. > :07:23.-- if you don't get it right around the break. She has a unique way of

:07:24. > :07:28.looking down the line when she is over the putt. She just seems to

:07:29. > :07:34.move her head slightly. If she moved the ball and inch back she would be

:07:35. > :07:43.in a better stance. She seems to do this, particularly on the long ones.

:07:44. > :07:53.-- and inch -- 1 inch. You said it was a slippery 1, and it just slips

:07:54. > :08:02.by. Suddenly, labs, there is a bit of cloud, and a bit of rain looking

:08:03. > :08:10.like it is coming this way. -- lads. A bit of rain is forecast. I

:08:11. > :08:15.was told that it isn't going to rain until players finished. We will see

:08:16. > :08:21.if it is right. -- we will see if he is right. Very bold. APPLAUSE

:08:22. > :08:41.3-over, level par for the championship. 17th. So Yeon Ryu's

:08:42. > :08:47.3rd. It trundles up onto the green. I say, I say, I say! APPLAUSE

:08:48. > :08:55.The golfing gods helping her out much like they did at the last hole.

:08:56. > :09:03.Almost a joke. I played for that. I knew it would come in from the

:09:04. > :09:16.right. Martin trying to stop the rot. This for birdie. Oh! Not high

:09:17. > :09:22.enough. Well, it is going to be a par, which ends the run of bad holes

:09:23. > :09:34.coming into this. We have seen so many putt -- putts like that. They

:09:35. > :09:45.could be a few more players within 3 or 4 shots -- there could be. This

:09:46. > :09:51.looks a horrid shot. After an incredible slice of luck for So Yeon

:09:52. > :09:55.Ryu, it is Ahn's chance. It stopped on the edge of the green. It has

:09:56. > :09:59.trickled into this bunker. She has got to stand outside it. This is

:10:00. > :10:06.really difficult, often dangerous shot. She has got to bend her needs

:10:07. > :10:10.an awful lot. And keep them bent. That is a lot better than it might

:10:11. > :10:18.have been. She has got to stay there and keep her legs bent on this. Just

:10:19. > :10:27.hands and arms. Not a long shot. Keep the swing back and through.

:10:28. > :10:30.Don't stop on it. It will come out. APPLAUSE

:10:31. > :10:52.Too well. Leading the way. A putt for birdie,

:10:53. > :11:05.but it is going to be a difficult 1 on the 17th. At the 18th. Gladys

:11:06. > :11:26.Macara -- Gladys and -- Gwladys Nocera. She is from

:11:27. > :11:35.Switzerland. She lives near Lake Geneva. Not a bad spot. She has been

:11:36. > :11:46.around for a few years. A good finish. Find the fairway. Four four

:11:47. > :12:00.four finish. This has been the strongest wind we have had all day.

:12:01. > :12:10.Straight into the players' face. -- players' faces.

:12:11. > :12:19.Lightning fast birdie putt for Ahn. It is going to go to the left, then

:12:20. > :12:27.it is going to move violently back to the right.

:12:28. > :12:54.2nd down to the last hole. You have got to avoid the bunkers if you can.

:12:55. > :13:00.And she has. What the result. APPLAUSE

:13:01. > :13:05.-- what a result. What a result that is. She was quite fortunate of the

:13:06. > :13:41.tee -- off. Granada Full. -- Granada. Oh, found the bunker.

:13:42. > :13:54.Back to 17. So Yeon Ryu. This would be some birdie. She walks away with

:13:55. > :13:56.a par. After coming out of a bunker. APPLAUSE

:13:57. > :14:04.An eventful back 9 for So Yeon Ryu, may be room for 1 birdie left. Lives

:14:05. > :14:19.in Irvine, California. She is from Korea, of course.

:14:20. > :14:36.APPLAUSE Par for Ahn. They all look pretty

:14:37. > :14:39.happy. Very nice day. It has been beautifully organised. Lots of

:14:40. > :14:45.things for the spectators and youngsters to do. A lot of

:14:46. > :14:56.youngsters out here. I am reminded of get into golf .com. Have a look,

:14:57. > :15:04.all 1 word, there might be in offer you simply cannot resist. Or, go on

:15:05. > :15:09.to the BBC website. Get inspired. We should all get inspired. I might be

:15:10. > :15:21.a bit old, but I am always up for a good sit down. There is a lot of

:15:22. > :15:25.thought going into this. It has nestled down a little bit. The wind

:15:26. > :15:31.is blowing directly into the players' faces. 6-iron. A little

:15:32. > :15:39.bluff at the front of the screen. If it comes short it will trickle down

:15:40. > :15:51.to the bottom Augusta style. You can just see the parting -- putting

:15:52. > :16:13.surfaces. Coming out of the rough it will probably release out.

:16:14. > :16:18.It is not on the putting surface for Beatriz Recari, so a bit of work

:16:19. > :16:32.left. Up to 18. Looks pretty happy, the leader. Yes,

:16:33. > :16:37.look at that. The fairways drying out a little bit. They were softer

:16:38. > :16:44.early in the week. They were, but it is still moving. Get a nice four to

:16:45. > :17:07.finish, and a pleasant afternoon. -- So Yeon Ryu, should have been

:17:08. > :17:13.about a 270 carry. A little bit less. It is heading towards the left

:17:14. > :17:23.trap. It needs to stop. Lost sight of it. It is in the trap, I think.

:17:24. > :17:48.Oh, it is indeed. And quite near the face. Long 3rd shot.

:17:49. > :17:58.She has quite a dilemma when it comes to her turn. Where to play the

:17:59. > :18:04.next 1? Granada Plays her 3rd. Aggressive play, and almost in.

:18:05. > :18:09.APPLAUSE We have seen a few of the short

:18:10. > :18:17.players doing well, putting the way around here. Granada's 1 of those

:18:18. > :18:30.players. 27 years of age, been out on the Tour for 9 years.

:18:31. > :18:43.Yang finishing off. Eagle 3? No. She will tap that in to go to 1-under

:18:44. > :18:54.par. A round of 72, which is level par. APPLAUSE

:18:55. > :19:02.Looks as if it is clouding up a little bit out there, Tom, from the

:19:03. > :19:08.north and from the sea towards Northern Ireland. That's an

:19:09. > :19:20.interesting shot, look at that, the old clubhouse reflected in

:19:21. > :19:29.somebody's glasses. Granada, Sandy birdie. 2-under par. APPLAUSE

:19:30. > :19:47.72 today, two birdies on the last four. I would not like to pick a

:19:48. > :19:50.winner at the moment. Absolutely right, because it has been toing and

:19:51. > :19:57.froing all day. All big names out there. Dashed up there, all with a

:19:58. > :20:01.lot of experience. It might come down to 1 particular shot, or a bit

:20:02. > :20:07.of bad luck, and that is just the way it goes. -- all big names up

:20:08. > :20:15.there, all with a lot of experience. Charley Hull was way down, but she

:20:16. > :20:22.got back into it. So you never know. Beatriz Recari has chipped up nicely

:20:23. > :20:41.to about two feet. Almost identical to the 1 before.

:20:42. > :20:45.APPLAUSE She could have done with that 1

:20:46. > :21:20.going in. Bunker left for so run -- for So

:21:21. > :21:25.Yeon Ryu. All you can do here is splash it out again. She has done

:21:26. > :22:00.very neatly. APPLAUSE Have you seen this course change

:22:01. > :22:05.much over the years? Yes, just a little bit, the 17th used to be a

:22:06. > :22:10.par 3. They got rid of that, and put in the 12. They put in some new

:22:11. > :22:18.tees. The greens were in bad shape a few years ago, they took them all

:22:19. > :22:24.out and relayed them. They have this thing whereby a stretch of water

:22:25. > :22:31.runs beneath some greens. Some of them can go a bit brown. But it is a

:22:32. > :22:33.classic. For par. It is quite tricky to see the lines. Almost dead

:22:34. > :22:54.straight. APPLAUSE That was a very important putt, I

:22:55. > :23:01.feel. 173 to the pin, but 151 to the front. And that is important.

:23:02. > :23:13.8-iron. And she has just dragged it a hair. Did you say in 8-iron? Yes.

:23:14. > :23:23.Really, good God. She gives it a fair hit. I thought it was a

:23:24. > :23:31.different hole. 8-iron... The head still. -- keep the head still.

:23:32. > :23:39.APPLAUSE Good up and down for Beatriz Recari.

:23:40. > :23:44.She remains at level par. If they could both finish with a couple of

:23:45. > :23:59.falls that would smarten them up enormously. It would put them in

:24:00. > :24:04.good shape tomorrow. -- fours. 17 players so far have broken par.

:24:05. > :24:09.Which is a great improvement on the previous two days. Everybody has

:24:10. > :24:16.been behaving, they have been unemployed, and had a nice day out.

:24:17. > :24:29.They have proper shoes on. Don't slip!

:24:30. > :24:37.137 left the So Yeon Ryu. She has a wedge. She will be trying to pitch

:24:38. > :24:58.it. 10, maybe 12 short. Bound to take 1 high bounce. She has been a

:24:59. > :25:03.little bit aggressive with her shots. She might feel hard done by

:25:04. > :25:07.by the end of the day, but that is links golf. Cracking shot. Pity she

:25:08. > :25:11.did not get a bit of a stop on it. It might have ended up about 7 or 8

:25:12. > :25:18.feet away. APPLAUSE It is a par 5, she has had a cute

:25:19. > :25:28.tales of woe -- view tales of woe today. -- a few.

:25:29. > :25:35.Playing partner in a perfect spot. Good distance. Just go to threaded

:25:36. > :25:45.through the mounds. I say just, if you can get plenty of run. That was

:25:46. > :25:48.almost out before she struck it, the tee. That is cantering down the

:25:49. > :26:19.fairway. That is a splendid drive. Maybe 1 day away from a championship

:26:20. > :26:25.victory. She seemed a bit disturbed by that last 1. She almost turned

:26:26. > :26:31.away in disgust. I could not believe she hit an 8-iron. 20 yards short of

:26:32. > :26:35.the green, but kicked into... Well, it isn't too bad. You have got to

:26:36. > :26:39.hit this hard enough to get it out and forward. If you don't, you could

:26:40. > :26:46.just knock it into the bank in front of you. Yes, it's not terrible. She

:26:47. > :26:52.is on an uphill slope, which always helps on these kinds of shots. But

:26:53. > :26:58.it is easy to lose concentration. I think that is the poorest shot of

:26:59. > :27:04.the round I have seen. That was just driving in 8-iron about 20 feet. The

:27:05. > :27:10.goal has been of the absolute highest standard today. -- golf.

:27:11. > :27:14.Getting herself settled. The trajectory is fine. It is just a

:27:15. > :27:30.question of getting it up. Short delivery for release.

:27:31. > :27:38.APPLAUSE Got it a bit clean, didn't she? It

:27:39. > :27:47.started a bit penny. I thought it might be a bit worse than that. --

:27:48. > :27:50.tinny. I thought it was going to end up in the ladies locker room. I

:27:51. > :27:55.thought it was going to give a scare to the people watching in the

:27:56. > :28:13.gallery. It was not where she intended.

:28:14. > :28:24.Great view around here at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club. We have seen

:28:25. > :28:32.many tournaments here. English championships, amateur Championships

:28:33. > :28:39.etc. It all really began in 1950 here. I don't think much was played

:28:40. > :28:44.before 1950. Since 1954, the 1st championship, it has grown hugely in

:28:45. > :28:49.stature. This putt goes to the left on the back of this green. We have

:28:50. > :28:56.seen at least 6 or 7 look good and entail away left -- and then tail

:28:57. > :29:03.away left. She is settling down there. You have got to get settled.

:29:04. > :29:18.I'm sure some people might say she is building a step. Well, what else

:29:19. > :29:31.are you going to do? Let's see if she can judge it right. She might go

:29:32. > :29:49.towards the right of the hole. Not bad for getting it close. Funny putt

:29:50. > :30:00.from the back of this green. Martin just laying up. Stay on the fairway.

:30:01. > :30:12.It would have been easier from the right centre than the left centre,

:30:13. > :30:17.the way the pin is cut. The pin is on almost a 3 terrorist green. This

:30:18. > :30:32.is the central terrorist. You don't want to go too far past. -- 3

:30:33. > :30:44.terraced green. This is going to come out pretty hot. -- this is the

:30:45. > :30:51.central terrace. Left a bit. It sounded nice. It is going to stick

:30:52. > :31:03.up there, is it? It is doing its best to get back. It is still

:31:04. > :31:07.tricky, but not bad. It is most likely coming from the back part of

:31:08. > :31:12.the screen. The ball has to long -- run along the top of the little

:31:13. > :31:30.bridge. I have just been looking down the scorers. We have had one

:31:31. > :31:30.bogey free round today. That is some accomplishment around this

:31:31. > :31:52.championship links. Some significant moves have been

:31:53. > :31:55.made by some very accomplished players today, just setting us up

:31:56. > :32:21.for a grandstand day tomorrow. Well done. It was a little bit of a

:32:22. > :32:31.struggle but it is 74. Home in 40, however. Didn't birdie either of the

:32:32. > :32:44.last two. She had a couple of sixes thrown in as well. It has been very

:32:45. > :32:52.expensive. That big tent at the back is the exhibition tent, which sells

:32:53. > :33:05.all sorts of goodies. Take your time. Head still. Two inches back,

:33:06. > :33:13.two inches through... Like that. It looks so easy. Well played.

:33:14. > :33:28.Very nicely played round with many opportunities missed. A big smile

:33:29. > :33:33.from the 26-year-old who has already claimed 23 professional wins on the

:33:34. > :33:39.Korean and Japanese tours. She is a phenomenal winner. She leads this

:33:40. > :33:46.championship by a shot from Inbee Park. Park has been a very strong

:33:47. > :33:50.presence in this championship in the last few years. One of the great

:33:51. > :33:57.champions in women's golf ever after three major titles last year. This

:33:58. > :34:05.is her at the 12th with the birdie putt to goal mouth -- go four under

:34:06. > :34:10.par. When she gets it going, she really gets it going. She dropped

:34:11. > :34:18.that shot at the 14th and here she picks it back up at the 17th. This

:34:19. > :34:23.is a new putter she is using. I got a reaction moments afterwards.

:34:24. > :34:27.You began six shots off the lead and find yourself in the thick of this

:34:28. > :34:31.championship. A slightly uncharacteristic ending. How would

:34:32. > :34:38.you sum up your day? It was a great day overall. Started really good. A

:34:39. > :34:46.tough four holes to start with. I think I hit all the greens today. It

:34:47. > :34:55.was a good ball striking day. My two bogeys came from 23 putts. -- two

:34:56. > :35:03.three putts. Overall it was a good day. At the beginning of the round I

:35:04. > :35:08.had a 65, 66 in my mind. A bit disappointing in the end. Still a

:35:09. > :35:13.good day. You came into this championship last year going for the

:35:14. > :35:18.Grand Slam. Things did not work out. Is there a feeling that there is

:35:19. > :35:27.some unfinished business for you? Hopefully! Last year I had a lot of

:35:28. > :35:31.pressure on myself. Having something like that is quite hard. Irony order

:35:32. > :35:35.to play good in this event. It did not happen. Obviously this year I am

:35:36. > :35:44.going into the final day in a slightly better position. I'm giving

:35:45. > :35:49.myself an opportunity for career grand slams. Happy to be in that

:35:50. > :35:54.position. It is hard to follow up an amazing year like 2013. How close

:35:55. > :36:00.are you to regaining the kind of form that you showed so beautifully

:36:01. > :36:08.last year? Yes, last year was an exceptional year. My putter just

:36:09. > :36:13.wanted to go in the hole all the time. This year it seems like I have

:36:14. > :36:20.matured my game. I am hitting the ball better. I am a little worse

:36:21. > :36:24.around the greens, especially the putter this year has not been

:36:25. > :36:28.working as well. Except for that I see improvement. It could be quite a

:36:29. > :36:48.day tomorrow. Thank you. Thank you. Mo Martin at the 17th. The last

:36:49. > :36:56.group out on the course. This is for a birdie. Line and pace. It sounds

:36:57. > :37:03.obvious. But if you just hit it a little bit too hard on the right, it

:37:04. > :37:12.won't go in. Almost a double break. It is a tricky one. That was always

:37:13. > :37:15.left and stayed left. It wandered off. It is quite bizarre, really.

:37:16. > :37:32.Very annoying. Tomorrow the forecast is not so

:37:33. > :37:39.clever. There is the possibility of strong winds during the day. That is

:37:40. > :37:53.another factor to the debate. -- to think about. A par putt. I think you

:37:54. > :38:02.may need your warm woollies tomorrow, or a wrinkled. -- a

:38:03. > :38:10.raincoat. Four at the last would do a tremendous amount of good. Yes, Mo

:38:11. > :38:17.Martin has only had one top ten finish in her career on the LPGA

:38:18. > :38:24.tour. She is joint seventh. A birdie up the last and the good day

:38:25. > :38:28.tomorrow will be worth a lot to her. She won three tournaments on the

:38:29. > :38:36.futures tour. She took up while to graduate onto the LPGA tour. She has

:38:37. > :38:47.become very consistent. This is a high achieving week for her. Birdie

:38:48. > :39:10.putt. This would come macro in handy as well. -- come. Straight in.

:39:11. > :39:28.Suzann Pettersen either on her way to or from the practice ground. The

:39:29. > :39:42.18th tee. I was talking to Tom about altering this whole. That's hole.

:39:43. > :39:49.The 18th was a straightaway hole with a kink in it, no dogleg. They

:39:50. > :40:03.swapped it for the 10th hole 30 or 40 years ago. Virtually straight

:40:04. > :40:21.down breeze. It is a sugar daddy of a hole. You have got to find the

:40:22. > :40:47.fairway. Mo Martin does not get the highest flight in the world.

:40:48. > :41:02.It has gone left a bit, has its? Over by the gallant colonel. They

:41:03. > :41:08.don't like to work the old boy too hard these days. He and his team of

:41:09. > :41:26.Army lads all take leave to come and help us out.

:41:27. > :41:34.This is an interesting hole for Martin. She can go down the narrow

:41:35. > :41:39.fairway on the right or down the left, which is much wider. I think

:41:40. > :41:47.if she goes over the bunker, she has got to hit absolute Sunday best.

:41:48. > :41:49.What about down the left with a bit of cut in that? Would that sued the

:41:50. > :42:08.day? That would suit the day. Find the fairway and this hole will

:42:09. > :42:09.offer you a birdie at least 50% of the time. If you are lucky you may

:42:10. > :42:47.hit a three. Which way will she go? She is darn

:42:48. > :43:00.accurate. Poll, no. -- oh, macro now.

:43:01. > :43:09.Much toing and froing on the third day of the championship. Sun-Ju Ahn

:43:10. > :43:22.is top of the leaderboard. What a powerful player. There she is. She

:43:23. > :43:28.is nicknamed big Mama on the Japanese tour. She has twice been

:43:29. > :43:32.the leading money earner on that tour. This is only her second time

:43:33. > :43:39.in this championship. This is her second to the 13th. This approach

:43:40. > :43:43.would be good enough to almost guarantee her the birdie. That was

:43:44. > :43:49.the quality of the striking today. That took to three under. The good

:43:50. > :43:55.play continued. Birdie putt at the 15th. That put her at four under.

:43:56. > :44:01.And the woman his best result in a major was a tie for 13th in 2009 at

:44:02. > :44:07.the US women's open, dived down to five under at the next hole, the

:44:08. > :44:11.15th. That is where she would remain at the head of the leaderboard, all

:44:12. > :44:16.on her own. And looking like she will take that lead into tomorrow's

:44:17. > :44:23.final round. We understand the forecast is pretty different to

:44:24. > :44:34.today will stop gusts of up to 30 mph are expected. That will

:44:35. > :44:37.certainly add to the drama. Julieta Granada on the practice round. These

:44:38. > :44:43.are the first spots of rain we have experienced in three days. There is

:44:44. > :44:52.a mass scramble for the waterproofs and the brollies.

:44:53. > :44:58.There you see what is happening. The clouds have darkened. One final

:44:59. > :45:06.pairing out on the course. They could both do with four. The chances

:45:07. > :45:12.of them both getting four are quite slight. -- is quite slight. When it

:45:13. > :45:20.rains, this golf course becomes a quite different animal. I don't

:45:21. > :45:33.think we will see such low scores tomorrow if we get the rain. It is

:45:34. > :45:38.245 to the pin. There are a couple of bunkers which she desperately

:45:39. > :45:43.does not want to go into. It is whether she can get enough club on

:45:44. > :45:49.it to pop it over those. Not Silnov -- not a lot of room over them. You

:45:50. > :45:56.are talking about an area the size of a tennis court where it is safe

:45:57. > :46:03.to land? To I would say so. She may just chip it down the fairway. When

:46:04. > :46:18.in doubt, check it out. -- chip it out. She is going from a short iron

:46:19. > :46:25.to a middle iron. I think if you are going to play safe, play safe. Looks

:46:26. > :46:30.like a five or a six iron. I would have thought a nine iron down

:46:31. > :46:41.towards the hospitality pavilion. It looks a long shot.

:46:42. > :47:10.Steady. That was stupid. Give the caddie a rocket. Walk-off now. Not

:47:11. > :47:20.good. It was a good strike, too. She hated nicely. One club to many. --

:47:21. > :47:24.too many. A lot of wildlife here. They are wondering, with the hell

:47:25. > :47:32.has laid all those ex-? ! Where is mum! There she is. Come on, kids.

:47:33. > :47:40.Let's get you home before it gets too wet. They have only got little

:47:41. > :47:46.legs but they shift, don't they? What about this one, Ken? This is

:47:47. > :47:53.much more inviting. A middle iron from here. Again, you're trying to

:47:54. > :48:05.hit it through the gap between the two bunkers. 208 yards. Middle of

:48:06. > :48:15.the green you are after. Ignore the pin. She has got a five iron. A nice

:48:16. > :48:34.sweet one right down the garden path.

:48:35. > :48:44.That is easier in there than perhaps in long grass.

:48:45. > :48:54.Place-macro just finishing off her round. -- Beatriz Recari. In a tie

:48:55. > :49:02.for seventh place, Stacy Lewis, the world number one from America. She

:49:03. > :49:09.is our defending champion and I caught up with her earlier.

:49:10. > :49:13.Our defending champion, Stacy Lewis. You find yourself only three shots

:49:14. > :49:20.off the pace. This is a turnaround going into the final day? Yes, it

:49:21. > :49:26.is. I got a bit closer today. It was a frustrating day. I hit the ball

:49:27. > :49:30.too good to only get two under. Hopefully tomorrow I can do better

:49:31. > :49:35.and make a little charge. How positive do you feel about your

:49:36. > :49:38.chances of defending this title? Charley Hull has showed us what is

:49:39. > :49:43.possible out there. It is definitely possible. Tomorrow is going to be

:49:44. > :49:49.one of those days you have two hang in there. You can make birdies. I

:49:50. > :49:52.just need to putt a little bit better and I will have a chance. You

:49:53. > :50:02.can draw on your experiences on final Sundays. In the last couple of

:50:03. > :50:07.events you have shot 65 and 66. You say you have got Sundays figured

:50:08. > :50:11.out. In what respect? When you say that it usually goes the other way!

:50:12. > :50:15.I think every day you learn to play the golf course a little bit better.

:50:16. > :50:21.You get more comfortable on it. That showed today. I don't know, it is

:50:22. > :50:26.just getting out there. I am ready for Sundays. That is the day I play

:50:27. > :50:32.for. When I have that chance to win. That is where I want to be. Hoping

:50:33. > :50:41.for a charge for you tomorrow. Thank you very much. Thank you.

:50:42. > :50:53.A good up and down needed here for Mo Martin. It has been a struggle on

:50:54. > :51:03.the back nine for her. It is still not the easiest of shots. It is a

:51:04. > :51:20.knobbly bit of green. Pitched nicely. A long way up the shaft.

:51:21. > :51:30.Amazing. Very well played. That is very good indeed. Superb shot.

:51:31. > :51:35.Particularly after the one that she put in the bunker. When you work it

:51:36. > :51:39.out, select a club and hit the shot and you put it in the only place you

:51:40. > :51:48.do not want to go, you feel like a twit. She holds that put -- if she

:51:49. > :52:04.putts that, it would be great. Beatriz Recari has found the bunker

:52:05. > :52:09.on the right hand side. You can see how much green she has two play

:52:10. > :52:15.with. A very decent chance of getting up and down for birdie.

:52:16. > :52:16.Assuming, of course, it is not completely against the face. It is

:52:17. > :53:03.not too bad. Good a shot there. We have got some

:53:04. > :53:12.dramatic news. This was the situation 20 minutes ago. You can

:53:13. > :53:15.see how slippery the sand is. You have got to get yourself a bit

:53:16. > :53:21.solid, otherwise what are you going to do? It looks as if she is going

:53:22. > :53:35.to be penalised a couple of shots for her stance, which is very cruel

:53:36. > :53:39.if that is the case. In my opinion. She is getting enough aggravation

:53:40. > :53:44.with the shots she played. He did then and squirted it to the back.

:53:45. > :53:59.That's back she hid it thin. That is why golf is such a tricky

:54:00. > :54:10.game. If that is the case. So you have played nicely but just put two

:54:11. > :54:19.shots on. That is the correct scoreboard at the moment. That

:54:20. > :54:37.changes the face of things a bit. It is like the Spanish Inquisition.

:54:38. > :55:00.Two important putts coming up for these players.

:55:01. > :55:08.Not a great deal in this. Of course, a little bit of moisture on

:55:09. > :55:12.the green. So if you imagine there is any break, you can probably

:55:13. > :55:27.fitted a little bit more firmly and take it out of the equation. -- fit

:55:28. > :55:53.it. Disappointing. That is going to be just a par. 74. One under. Sun-Ju

:55:54. > :56:02.Ahn. That nasty penalty means another couple of shots added on to

:56:03. > :56:09.that final hole. Quite a blow. Mo Martin. This for a par. A very

:56:10. > :56:16.adventurous one. She has done it. Well done. Our overnight leader

:56:17. > :56:23.struggled today. She is hanging in there. If she can break 72 tomorrow,

:56:24. > :56:36.it would do her a lot of good indeed.

:56:37. > :56:52.She was our leader. Now she is not. A two shot penalty. That is the

:56:53. > :56:59.situation. Nicely bunched. Let's hope the weather is not as bad as

:57:00. > :57:03.they say it is going to be. I am looking forward to tomorrow. But I

:57:04. > :57:07.am not looking forward to that forecast with wind and possible

:57:08. > :57:14.rain, because it is no fun for anybody. I appreciate that. It could

:57:15. > :57:18.be a damn close run thing tomorrow. There are some really hot players

:57:19. > :57:21.near the top. It may be their turn to win one of women's richest

:57:22. > :57:33.prizes. Hope you join us. Thank you, Peter. I hope you join us

:57:34. > :57:35.for that and I hope you join us next week for the Open Championship just

:57:36. > :58:03.30 miles down the coast from here. Where we see a magnificent

:58:04. > :58:10.landscape, they see a hostile terrain.

:58:11. > :58:16.Our business tomorrow is the final day of this championship. A 66 from

:58:17. > :58:22.Charley Hull, the best of the week. Sun-Ju Ahn penalised two shots.

:58:23. > :58:28.Inbee Park takes a 1-shot lead into the final day. 1pm is the start time

:58:29. > :58:34.the final round of the 39th playing of this Open Championship. Some of

:58:35. > :58:38.the great names in women's golf have won here. You Will be next? Bring a

:58:39. > :58:44.windcheater. It could be a wild ride.
