:00:27. > :00:35.Good afternoon. This is certainly a major golfing weekend with the men

:00:36. > :00:38.in New Jersey and the women at Woburn in Bedfordshire on the third

:00:39. > :00:43.day of the women's Ricoh Championship. This club's played a

:00:44. > :00:48.huge part in this 40-year-old Championship. It was here in the 80s

:00:49. > :00:52.and 90s, it really helped grow it before it was designated one of the

:00:53. > :00:58.now five women's majors at the turn of the new millennium. Along the

:00:59. > :01:03.way, we have exchanged a sparkling crystal trophy for a shiny beautiful

:01:04. > :01:08.silver pitcher which echoes I think the elegant lines of a certain old

:01:09. > :01:13.Claret Jug won at Troon a couple of week ago. This weekend, there are

:01:14. > :01:16.four women in the field who know exactly what it takes to win such a

:01:17. > :01:26.prize and they are very much in the hunt for another title here.

:01:27. > :01:35.Woe bunk's tree-lined course is a far cry from the bracing Links

:01:36. > :01:40.conditions. It's 17 years since our last visit to Bedfordshire and 21

:01:41. > :01:43.since the reveered Australian Karrie Webb claimed the first of her

:01:44. > :01:52.British open wins on the adjacent course. Amazing. In her rookie year.

:01:53. > :02:00.Catriona Matthew enjoyed her finest year at Lytham. She's Britain's most

:02:01. > :02:17.recent winner. Stacy Lewis made history too, the

:02:18. > :02:21.first pro to win at the Open course. Stacy's fellow American, Mo Martin

:02:22. > :02:26.sprung an almighty surprise at Birkdale.

:02:27. > :02:34.Well, all of them are hard on the heels of a tie. Aria Jutanugarn.

:02:35. > :02:39.China's top talent, Shanshan Feng and the half way leader Mirim Lee of

:02:40. > :02:47.South Korea. They are the pace-setters.

:02:48. > :02:58.And 25-year-old Mirim Lee's lofty position which ties the half way

:02:59. > :03:26.record equalled another score. Woburn's Charley Hull, the fearless

:03:27. > :03:31.20 old, has two former US Open champions, Lexi Thompson and Yu in

:03:32. > :03:40.her group. Amateur rankings all made it to the weekend. Ied ya Ko only

:03:41. > :03:58.just made the cut at level par. -- Lydia Ko. Liz Young completed her

:03:59. > :04:02.two rounds at seven months pregnant and she'll now put her feet up until

:04:03. > :04:09.the birth of her baby because she and her husband will get very little

:04:10. > :04:16.rest once he or she arrives! It's hello to the former Curtis cup

:04:17. > :04:22.player Maureen. It looked like it would be a run away early on, but

:04:23. > :04:26.not now? It's a great equaliser and the field's bunched up. We are only

:04:27. > :04:29.half way through. We get excited on Saturday but there's as much golf to

:04:30. > :04:32.come today as the feast that we have already seen. Looking at the course

:04:33. > :04:35.set-up, I don't think there's such a low round out there today.

:04:36. > :04:38.Toughening up the flag positions is fair enough when you come into the

:04:39. > :04:43.weekend of a major. Indeed. There's been a lot of talk

:04:44. > :04:52.about the fact that this is the shortest of the venues on the major

:04:53. > :04:57.circuit in golf this week. You see Jutanugarn and Feng, but in some way

:04:58. > :05:03.it's stifled the longer hitters too. Whose game is it best suiting? When

:05:04. > :05:07.this course was designed 16 years ago, players still shaped the ball.

:05:08. > :05:11.They don't do that now, the equipment doesn't make it so easy so

:05:12. > :05:14.people at home know that's why you hit it straight because the

:05:15. > :05:18.equipment helps you. So now they play to positions, it's all very

:05:19. > :05:24.positional. They play to the elbows and the dog leg so it's become a

:05:25. > :05:28.matter of it takes you a four iron and takes me a three wood. So that

:05:29. > :05:34.to me makes the shots into the green key. Absolutely prime importance.

:05:35. > :05:38.There are a number of holes that are tricky but there are also some when

:05:39. > :05:42.you have a lot of loft in your hand. The short irons and getting on to

:05:43. > :05:46.the right portion of the segment of greens is absolutely vital. If you

:05:47. > :05:49.do that, you can have makeable bishopedy putts. If you get swept

:05:50. > :05:54.away to another area, it's difficult to get down in two. We'll see how

:05:55. > :06:00.the 75 women who made the cut for the weekend got on. They were out

:06:01. > :06:04.since 8 this morning and Charley Hull, the 20-year-old, this is her

:06:05. > :06:08.at the first 20 minutes ago. She's played here since she was eight

:06:09. > :06:12.years of age, said she'd never felt nerves like it on the first day of

:06:13. > :06:14.the opening morning but beginning to enjoy the high expectation levels

:06:15. > :06:22.and of course the sup port as well. She's a force of nature this woman.

:06:23. > :06:26.I've been here since I was about nine years old so it's just nice to

:06:27. > :06:28.be home. I love it. I feel a lot of pressure but at the end of the day

:06:29. > :06:39.you have to deal with it. That'll keep her round going. It

:06:40. > :06:44.will be good if it's up. Yes! Charley's my darling! There she goes

:06:45. > :06:49.again. Keep that one for the harvest festival. Good shot.

:06:50. > :06:58.She's done it. Well done. Perfect. A scrappy sort of round turned into a

:06:59. > :07:03.pretty good score at the end of the day. I liked it yesterday because I

:07:04. > :07:09.started with a few birdies and did it well. No reason why I can't go

:07:10. > :07:19.low. Great run around the turn. Five birdies in six holes got me going.

:07:20. > :07:22.Tidy round. I hit some good shots, just didn't get up and down.

:07:23. > :07:29.Chipping wasn't that good. I'm happy with the way I came through in the

:07:30. > :07:33.middle part. Sadly she's not going to be very happy at the start. She

:07:34. > :07:37.hit her second into the trees, and this is a triple bogey.

:07:38. > :07:42.Unfortunately for Charley. Having started the day at five under, she's

:07:43. > :07:48.back to two under. We have seen her charging before. Saw this at Royal

:07:49. > :07:52.Birkdale a couple of years ago, but what a horrible jolt in momentum

:07:53. > :07:56.that is, Maureen? Very disappointing for Charley, but for the home fans

:07:57. > :07:59.as well. You know, she's the sort of player who can light the

:08:00. > :08:02.after-burners. Sometimes you go out almost trying to predict something

:08:03. > :08:07.that you don't have and it's like you need to give yourself permission

:08:08. > :08:13.to go for it and play well and be uninhibited. She reminds me a lot in

:08:14. > :08:17.her thinking of Alison Nicholas who was a former winner. She was very

:08:18. > :08:22.uncomplicated. I asked her once, if you are out there playing and start

:08:23. > :08:28.losing, what do you do to fix it and she looked at me in astonishment and

:08:29. > :08:32.she said, I am further right. That's Charley's kind of thinking and I

:08:33. > :08:36.think that's a great lesson because we get too complicated and we forget

:08:37. > :08:39.about the essence of the game. So yes it's not a good start but it

:08:40. > :08:49.doesn't mean that's the end of that round. Live coverage coming up and a

:08:50. > :08:53.quick update for you following the fortunes of the world number one.

:08:54. > :08:58.Lydia Ko made a couple of birdies yesterday. She started the day at

:08:59. > :09:03.level par, got it going on the back nine coming home today after an

:09:04. > :09:09.early start. This was to go 4-under for her round at the 15th and now at

:09:10. > :09:15.the 16th. This is the woman who's won, she's only 19, won five times

:09:16. > :09:22.around the world already this season and this was to guarantee the birdie

:09:23. > :09:25.at the 16th. S she popped that to to go 5-under and this was the makings

:09:26. > :09:30.of the best round of the day. Looking very good. 5-under for the

:09:31. > :09:34.day and back in if thick of it. Rather like Charley, a bit of a jolt

:09:35. > :09:39.coming home in her case because she lost her ball off the tee at the

:09:40. > :09:44.18th. Double bogey followed it for a six there and a round of 69 that

:09:45. > :09:50.could have been a whole lot better. She would sign for that 69, 3-under

:09:51. > :09:58.for her round. She spoke to Maureen once she came off the course.

:09:59. > :10:03.69 puts you at 3-under but it promised so much more at one point?

:10:04. > :10:07.Yes, I actually wasn't hitting my tee shots very well in the front

:10:08. > :10:13.nine but was able to make a lot of up and downs. On the back nine, my

:10:14. > :10:18.putter got rolling, I wasn't putting very well the last two days so it

:10:19. > :10:22.was good to see some putts falling. I had a wayward shot on 18. Tough to

:10:23. > :10:25.finish on that but it's the best score I had during this tournament

:10:26. > :10:30.so hopefully another low one tomorrow. The flags are a little

:10:31. > :10:35.more taut today so how low a score do you think there is out there for

:10:36. > :10:40.the leaders? I feel like the wind is a little calmer than the last two

:10:41. > :10:44.days, even though it's tucked a bit. Because the greens aren't super

:10:45. > :10:48.firm, I think if you are far enough up there, it's still approachable.

:10:49. > :10:55.You just never know. Pressure can get to you. The 18th got to me. It

:10:56. > :11:00.all depends. The leaders have been playing great golf. I've seen some

:11:01. > :11:05.of their highlights, they have been hitting it close. I have a good

:11:06. > :11:10.feeling they are still going to hit a low one today. Finished in the top

:11:11. > :11:14.three of the last five majors and won two of them. Lydia Ko. Might not

:11:15. > :11:22.be her weekend though. Whose will it be? This is the live leaderboard. In

:11:23. > :11:26.Gee Chun is making her presence felt. Karrie Webb just about to get

:11:27. > :11:46.her round under way. There's Lydia Ko having posted the

:11:47. > :11:53.round of 69 and we'll see Charley Hull there. The leading amateur,

:11:54. > :12:09.Bronte Law just there. Maureen, there is one woman in the

:12:10. > :12:14.field who is perhaps double the average age of the professionals and

:12:15. > :12:20.it's Catriona Matthew, 46, she won't like me saying that, but perhaps one

:12:21. > :12:23.of the underrated sportswomen in the country. How much does she deserve

:12:24. > :12:29.the accolades coming her way now? It's fantastic. Any of us who know

:12:30. > :12:33.Catriona, she's not the greatest self-publicist. She's accomplished

:12:34. > :12:39.so much in a quiet manner efficiently over a long time, she's

:12:40. > :12:42.had a wonderful career, she knows what it takes to win a major and

:12:43. > :12:46.she'll be comfortable in the position she's in.

:12:47. > :12:51.Ken Brown, rather not like the last few years in the Championship, was

:12:52. > :12:55.not about to be swept into the sea in high winds, he's entering the

:12:56. > :12:59.zen-like calm that always surrounds Catriona Matthew. Looking forward to

:13:00. > :13:03.it? Absolutely. Supping a bit of water at the moment. Always nervous

:13:04. > :13:04.no matter how experienced or good you are, the first ever major

:13:05. > :13:23.Championship on any day is tough. Jutanugarn is an amazing hitter. She

:13:24. > :13:29.played on the LPGA tour when she was 11 years old! Hit the ball a country

:13:30. > :13:33.mile. She hit a five iron 195 yards she said yesterday. Short and

:13:34. > :13:37.straight, keep it under control and it will be interesting to see who

:13:38. > :13:41.comes out on top. Not much breeze about. The course perfect. I'm going

:13:42. > :13:46.to join them down the fairway. We'll leave you to it. By the way, nice

:13:47. > :14:01.hat! Let's just remind everybody of the pairings.

:14:02. > :14:08.Karrie Webb and Stacy Lewis, what a pairing, they own nine majors

:14:09. > :14:46.between them. This will be fascinating, Mirim Lee

:14:47. > :14:51.held the half way lead in the WPGA Championship, another major in June,

:14:52. > :14:57.only to fall down and also was well in the hunt in the US Open. There's

:14:58. > :15:01.a woman there, it's Catriona Matthew who knows how to get the job done in

:15:02. > :15:05.this Championship. Let's see how she goes in the company of Andrew and

:15:06. > :15:07.Peter. Good afternoon. We are looking forward to a very

:15:08. > :15:14.pleasant afternoon, although the sun's gone in at the moment. It's a

:15:15. > :15:20.bit cloudy. Slightly cooler too. Just waiting. The calm before the

:15:21. > :15:28.storm. Charley Hull's taken goodness how long to play the first hole. Not

:15:29. > :15:34.too wild a tee shot. A dreadful second, hit the trees, ricochetted

:15:35. > :15:40.around. All her fans who went down the first fairway...

:15:41. > :15:47.On the tee from Scotland Catriona Matthew.

:15:48. > :15:52.The pride of Scotland tees it up. Watch this gentle swing. Ken said

:15:53. > :15:57.she's not a crash, bang who will lop player, just quietly in the male

:15:58. > :15:59.game a few years ago, they had players who plotted it quietly down

:16:00. > :16:21.the fairway. She plays that way. High tee. Swept straight off the top

:16:22. > :16:27.of the peg. Absolutely down the middle of the fairway.

:16:28. > :16:37.On the tee from Thailand, aria Jutanugarn.

:16:38. > :16:42.-- Ariya Jutanugarn. She can hit an iron off the tee most

:16:43. > :16:49.of the time with great distance. Doesn't use a driver. Rounds of 65

:16:50. > :16:51.and 69. A little smile before she walks to the ball, which is her

:16:52. > :17:07.trigger. Hugely powerful figure and a great

:17:08. > :17:13.contrast as well between these two. Shoot forward. That 'ing just about

:17:14. > :17:19.alongside the driver of Catriona Matthew. Gloucestershire

:17:20. > :17:28.Gloucestershire that's just. And off they go.

:17:29. > :17:41.Mo Martin. Won in such fine style at Birkdale two years ago. Hit the flag

:17:42. > :17:50.in the final hole. A bit of work for her par there.

:17:51. > :18:01.A delicate one. She's done it again. Very vicious swing for such a short

:18:02. > :18:08.shot. More ways to play them than that.

:18:09. > :18:23.Jang. Lovely pace. Ha Na Jang, incredibly strong South Korean

:18:24. > :18:30.contingent. 38 of the world's top 100 are from South Korea.

:18:31. > :18:38.The course is in absolutely splendid condition. I was out with Ken this

:18:39. > :18:43.morning having a look around. The quality of the grass on the

:18:44. > :18:47.surrounds of the greens and on the greens and the tees, everything is

:18:48. > :18:49.absolutely immaculate even though there was so much rain early in the

:18:50. > :19:06.year. It really is a treat. If you knock

:19:07. > :19:13.it in, strike this nicely off the middle of the putter and feel the

:19:14. > :19:17.ball goes nicely in the hole, it's great and a settling feeling. If you

:19:18. > :19:19.give it a tweak and miss it, you think, oh, God, is it going to be

:19:20. > :19:35.one of them sort of days? ! Bit short and jabby, but it went in.

:19:36. > :19:40.That's the way she does it. Remains eight under par.

:19:41. > :19:58.Look at where they lie in the group of Catriona Matthew and Jutanugarn.

:19:59. > :20:23.So precise. You wonder how that ever make any mistakes. Seen them do

:20:24. > :20:38.this, then they go 20 yards over the green. We'll see where this one

:20:39. > :20:51.goes. 125 yards. Power allows you to put a bit of extra spin on this.

:20:52. > :21:07.Hard bounce and stop. OK. One thing that was so impressive about

:21:08. > :21:15.Catriona yesterday, about to hit 18 greens in regulation. Doesn't happen

:21:16. > :21:18.too often. She'll probably have to land a little further short and

:21:19. > :21:33.release up to the flag. Perfect angle, lovely lie. Tidy swing.

:21:34. > :21:49.Perfect length. Husband Graham on the bag.

:21:50. > :22:04.Scenes at the first tee. Only 25 yards or so away from the 18th.

:22:05. > :22:35.Starters box. The figure of Alastair Scotts waiting to start them off.

:22:36. > :22:51.Looks very tidy here, they have set it up beautifully.

:22:52. > :23:02.Shanshan Feng likes her colourful trousers.

:23:03. > :23:07.Jutt jutt and Matthew -- Jutanugarn and Matthew are pacing and throwing

:23:08. > :23:34.and catching. More pacing. She's certainly giving it a lot of

:23:35. > :23:41.thought, this one. There are lots of subtle runs on these greens, long,

:23:42. > :23:47.slow rolls, no sharp edges to the greens. But you've got to know what

:23:48. > :23:52.you are doing, particularly from 14-18 yard ranges. You have to aim

:23:53. > :24:01.off two, three, four feet sometimes and pace is so important.

:24:02. > :24:09.Still not sure who is going to two first, I'll be honest, Peter. There

:24:10. > :24:15.is a lot of circumnavigating with putts from everybody. I think it's

:24:16. > :24:20.Jutanugarn. Yes, it is. There wasn't much in it. Both putts down the

:24:21. > :24:25.slope. No great sense of urgency, Ken. It's that type of morning, a

:24:26. > :24:32.Saturday morning. It's afternoon now, Kenneth. Well... I tell you,

:24:33. > :24:36.that hat is not doing you any favours. Sorry, I love you to bits,

:24:37. > :24:41.but that hat will have to go! Get the top down on the car on the way

:24:42. > :24:51.home, then you can throw it away! You are so kind, Peter. Could be.

:24:52. > :24:59.Oh! Robbery. If she'd just taken her time over it, it might have dropped.

:25:00. > :25:15.A very comfortable par-4 to start with for Jutanugarn.

:25:16. > :25:23.Here come the last pair. The last pair of the final round of the

:25:24. > :25:34.Ricoh, game number 38. On the tee, from China, Yushchenko Feng. --

:25:35. > :25:37.Shanshan Feng. Very strong contender I fancy, this lady. Just plods along

:25:38. > :26:16.quietly. Goodn't me, that is a long way --

:26:17. > :26:23.goodness me. Mirim Lee. The opening round she produced on

:26:24. > :26:41.Thursday. She backed that up yesterday with 71.

:26:42. > :26:53.Also good tee shot. That one didn't get the gigantic leap forward.

:26:54. > :26:59.Trundled on a bit, but not anything like her companion for the day.

:27:00. > :27:02.Landed in just about the same place, in a little soft speck. Back to

:27:03. > :27:40.Matthew on the green. Lady's golf's answer to Luke Donald!

:27:41. > :27:49.But she has a major. Broch Larsen of Denmark going very, very well.

:27:50. > :27:58.Three birdies in her first seven holes. Seventh place at the moment.

:27:59. > :28:08.Thompson. Second shot at the fourth. 6-under par. That was a horrid

:28:09. > :28:18.swing. What happened there? Good result, perhaps the way to do

:28:19. > :28:23.it! Oh, it couldn't, wouldn't, shouldnd. Nearly. It was odd, like

:28:24. > :28:27.she was trying to correct something midway through. I don't know, looks

:28:28. > :28:28.as though she was startled by a buffalo or something. Extraordinary

:28:29. > :28:37.shot. Stacy Lewis for her birdie on the

:28:38. > :28:50.second. Good roll. Spoke too soon.

:28:51. > :28:58.Apologies, Stacy. Two pars to start with in the second is a gentle

:28:59. > :29:02.enough par-5. Missed opportunity. Always looks slightly cross to me,

:29:03. > :29:14.Stacy. Here we are at the second tee. Matthew playing it high. Sweep

:29:15. > :29:19.it off the top of the tee. I fancy that as left a bit.

:29:20. > :29:25.Very short rough there, what there is of it. Not bad. One loose tee

:29:26. > :29:30.shot yesterday, or in the whole round. That was a tee shot on the

:29:31. > :29:36.16th left. She's just about gotten away with it. Mo Martin same to the

:29:37. > :29:42.third hole. Lovely. Beautifully played. Very good short iron player.

:29:43. > :29:51.Not the longest hit ever in the world -- hitter in the world.

:29:52. > :30:03.Sail down the fort. A little wiggle in the trees. We are blessed with a

:30:04. > :30:04.forest here so lots of big, mature trees. Give the fairway some

:30:05. > :30:36.definition. 106, 104. Talking about the 50

:30:37. > :30:38.degrees wedge. We will just see how close she is to being the right

:30:39. > :31:04.distance. Looked a good hit. There, you see.

:31:05. > :31:18.All that fuss and bother and at least you can judge for yourself.

:31:19. > :31:24.15, 18 yards short from 110 yards. A lot further down the fairway,

:31:25. > :31:35.Shanshan Feng. They are having their chat now. Huge drive, wasn't it?

:31:36. > :31:40.This is just a simple pitch up, with whatever you are going to hit it

:31:41. > :31:44.with. Don't do anything fancy, just land it over the bunker. It will end

:31:45. > :32:21.up fairly near. 125... I am sorry if I seem a little

:32:22. > :32:28.facetious. She was lucky to get the big bounce forward from her drive.

:32:29. > :32:38.The second was not so fortunate. Bit of a break in this one for Lexi

:32:39. > :32:47.Thompson. Caress it in. Good start continues. Couple of birdies in the

:32:48. > :32:56.first four holes. Quick check on the leaderboard. Catriona Matthew is,

:32:57. > :33:05.one shot behind the leader. Shanshan Feng, no fireworks from the Chinese

:33:06. > :33:11.player as yet. Nicole Brock Larsen, last year's player's Player of the

:33:12. > :33:15.Year, one of the emerging stars in European golf, as are a lot of other

:33:16. > :33:22.young Danes who could put their names to that title as well. She is

:33:23. > :33:25.3-under through eight holes. Looking further down, Ashleigh Simon of

:33:26. > :33:32.South Africa. She will be going to Rio as one of their competitors, in

:33:33. > :33:38.fact 41 of the 60 strong field that will contest for the Gold Medal in

:33:39. > :33:55.Rio are here at Woburn this weekend. Further down, Karim -ish France will

:33:56. > :34:06.also be on the plane for France. Now, to Shanshan Feng. Third shot on

:34:07. > :34:08.the opening hole. You don't want this aggravation in trying to get up

:34:09. > :34:46.and down in two from here. Can't say much about that one. Two

:34:47. > :35:01.Mo Martin. Hopefully a tap in for a birdie. Oh dear.

:35:02. > :35:10.Why did you have two mark from ten inches and line it up? You don't

:35:11. > :35:17.have it to be Einstein to work out it takes longer to go round. You can

:35:18. > :35:24.see a bit of a ridge running across the green, just in front of where

:35:25. > :35:54.her ball is. Calculation with the second shot.

:35:55. > :36:20.AJ at the 2nd. Big tree standing down on the left-hand side of the

:36:21. > :36:29.green, she fires it down the right. It bounces up and on. Not many

:36:30. > :36:33.getting on in two here. It's not the longest par-5, but you have got to

:36:34. > :36:45.be deadly accurate. Catriona Matthew 's has laid up. Then, to try and

:36:46. > :37:05.save par. Great position of the tee. Huge drive.

:37:06. > :37:10.That was a dreadful five after that wonderful tee shot. That is just

:37:11. > :37:32.poor playing. Husband clears the stage and

:37:33. > :37:50.Catriona Matthew has done laying up a good yardage.

:37:51. > :38:02.That'll do. That'll do very nicely. She is one of these players that

:38:03. > :38:11.makes it look so easy. And you think, I should swing app that is,

:38:12. > :38:21.it is very simple. Mirim Lee making short work of this par opening hole.

:38:22. > :38:31.Get that four. It almost feels like a birdie after all the messing

:38:32. > :38:42.about. State of affairs, Mirim Lee keeps hold of her slender lead.

:38:43. > :38:51.Shanshan Feng, slipping away back down to 9-under. Maguire, the young

:38:52. > :39:02.Irish amateur is going great guns. 6-under as she enters the back nine.

:39:03. > :39:14.Two wonderfully struck shots. Little up the hill. The bank of the bunker

:39:15. > :39:21.at the front of the green will make it turn to the right. You would

:39:22. > :39:29.settle for two puts here, wouldn't you? Without any doubt. It looks

:39:30. > :39:34.very drive. It could be a bit quicker than you think. Two

:39:35. > :39:37.magnificently well struck shots to find the green. It is a tricky green

:39:38. > :40:00.to find with a long iron. Pushing it. She gave that a good

:40:01. > :40:13.whack. It is well judged indeed. What a super putt.

:40:14. > :40:25.Power is no good if you cannot back it up with the Knights touch on the

:40:26. > :40:31.green. Jutanugarn takes her share of the lead with Mirim Lee. They both

:40:32. > :40:42.might end up with a four but they have different ways.

:40:43. > :40:50.It is marvellous, so many different ways of playing golf. Absolutely,

:40:51. > :40:55.absolutely. That was one of the great lines from John Jacobs. One of

:40:56. > :41:02.the problems with the game is there are so many ways of playing it well.

:41:03. > :41:10.So it is hard to teach a method. You have Lee Trevino 's, Jim Furyk, then

:41:11. > :41:21.you have the purists, the longer hitters, the shorts, to be one. This

:41:22. > :41:36.is for a birdie at the 2nd Matthew. Well done. Birdie, birdie start.

:41:37. > :41:44.3-way tie at the top. Matthew, Jutanugarn, and Mirim Lee. Maureen

:41:45. > :41:49.has joined us. I have just had an nice wander around a few of the

:41:50. > :41:54.holes. Perfect conditions. Nice bit of cool air wafting through the

:41:55. > :42:01.trees, so it doesn't get too heavy for the spectators. Good crowds. All

:42:02. > :42:07.the pressure on this overnight leader and Catriona Matthew 's has

:42:08. > :42:11.thrown down the gauntlet and made a statement of intent. It is a good

:42:12. > :42:23.one bolted away by Mirim Lee here on the second. Go to the fifth and Lexi

:42:24. > :42:27.Thompson. A few players have made a good start, and Lexi Thompson is

:42:28. > :42:29.certainly one of those. Birdies on the second and the fourth. Lovely

:42:30. > :42:52.putt. Colourful Shanshan Feng. Colourful,

:42:53. > :43:06.in more ways than one. Very entertaining character. Just bumping

:43:07. > :43:16.into the second cuts, but no bother there.

:43:17. > :43:23.You are thinking, planning and plotting your start to the round.

:43:24. > :43:28.Catriona Matthew, look so solid. Slightly loose tee shot on the

:43:29. > :43:36.second, but two birdie opportunities and two taken. She is certainly

:43:37. > :43:45.carrying, as you might expect, Charley Hull, by contrast, a

:43:46. > :43:56.dreadful start. Triple bogey on the first and no birdie since. She has

:43:57. > :43:59.been 2-under par. Ha-Na Jang. Did well to get it out of there. Coming

:44:00. > :44:19.round nicely. That's looking down at the 2nd. Both

:44:20. > :44:23.players lying OK. Green is sort of tucked round the corner on the

:44:24. > :44:28.left-hand side a little bit. You can see, there is a couple of those huge

:44:29. > :44:31.pine trees which are very strategically placed with bunkers

:44:32. > :44:46.eating into the left-hand portion the green. Few approving cries.

:44:47. > :44:49.Click on, click on. Very well done. That is threading the eye of a

:44:50. > :44:56.needle there, Andrew. Wonderful golf shot. Very close to the rough on the

:44:57. > :45:06.edge of the left-hand side. We will go to Catriona Matthew. 418 this

:45:07. > :45:12.par-4, dogleg to the left. Piece of string, it is the perfect angle.

:45:13. > :45:18.Very hard to keep it tight to the dogleg. That was down the left-hand

:45:19. > :45:25.side and it has finished on the right half. Good, long hitter as

:45:26. > :45:29.well. Trying to get close to the flag, so you have to get down the

:45:30. > :45:36.fairway to give you the shortest possible line in. She will be trying

:45:37. > :45:45.to work it round the corner with a draw.

:45:46. > :45:53.Very athletic swing, Ken, isn't it? Hugely impressive, she is a

:45:54. > :46:02.superstar in the making, no doubt about it. Still young, Jutanugarn,

:46:03. > :46:14.20. Her sister Maria, has been playing well this week. The ball

:46:15. > :46:21.above the feet of Mirim Lee, should help her maybe turn it over right to

:46:22. > :46:28.left. Not got the distance. Big bunker down there, a lot of rough

:46:29. > :46:32.stuff. She has slightly short sided herself as well. Lexi Thompson, on

:46:33. > :46:58.the par-3 6th, playing 165 today. An idea of some of the humps and

:46:59. > :47:07.hollows on the greens here. That is a view of the third. Beautifully

:47:08. > :47:14.shaped fairways, just giving definition. Little chicanes of

:47:15. > :47:18.twisting, ribbons of fairway that the players are teased to find. It

:47:19. > :47:45.really is a beautiful spot. Mo Martin and Ha-Na Jang have

:47:46. > :48:02.started with a couple of pars. Holding pattern at the moment.

:48:03. > :48:09.Very good for pace. Very good, indeed. The television screen just

:48:10. > :48:20.flattens out a lot of these greens. They really are very sloping indeed.

:48:21. > :48:49.Slightly awkward one of Mirim Lee. Up and down for a birdie.

:48:50. > :48:55.Mo Martin really relishes being battered in Britain. It is a very

:48:56. > :49:02.different test of course than the one she faced a couple of years ago

:49:03. > :49:10.at Royal Birkdale. It is just a different examination paper. She's

:49:11. > :49:16.struggled a little bit with her left wrist injury over the years. You can

:49:17. > :49:21.still see the strapping on her wrist. More precautionary at this

:49:22. > :49:29.stage, than anything else. Not quite the pace. There are a number of

:49:30. > :49:34.holes here you can rarely attack for a birdie and there are a few that

:49:35. > :49:38.you have to be mindful and get past them. Some of these early holes are

:49:39. > :49:49.the ones you need to get past with pars.

:49:50. > :50:00.Jutanugarn, it really gave it a good hit at this hole. Just a little bit

:50:01. > :50:03.shy. Not too bad from that distance. Bafta a very ugly opening hole,

:50:04. > :50:23.looking to get one back. -- after. Ha-Na Jang, to finish well done.

:50:24. > :50:35.Third part. One couple of times in America, always has effervescent

:50:36. > :50:45.victory celebrations. Just checking that is a picture mark that Mirim

:50:46. > :50:51.Lee can repair. Pitch marks, you are allowed to repair, but not spike

:50:52. > :50:56.marks. Deep into pondering section on the screen. Mirim Lee will be the

:50:57. > :50:57.first to go for her birdie attempt. Starting to get more crowded at the

:50:58. > :51:33.top of the leaderboard. It looked good for a while and it

:51:34. > :51:43.drifted off about 12 inches short of the hole. Great few here of Ha-Na

:51:44. > :51:49.Jang's second at three. She would try and bully V8 iron. Her line is

:51:50. > :51:54.pretty good. Distance is pretty good as well. It is a wonderful shot from

:51:55. > :52:03.Jutanugarn. Just ripped through it and quite pleased with that. 172

:52:04. > :52:12.yards and an 8-iron. She really had to flash that indeed. It wouldn't

:52:13. > :52:18.surprise me at all if Matthew had an 8-iron from where she is. 144. Can

:52:19. > :52:24.use the contours to the left of the flag, be bold and go straight at it.

:52:25. > :52:35.But coming up short, is not too kind. Very good. Just off the

:52:36. > :53:03.putting surface, but close. Feng, for birdie. And into double

:53:04. > :53:17.figures. One of the pace. It is now shared with three players. Stacy

:53:18. > :53:26.Lewis. Not a great start, 1-over on the first three. Everyone else has

:53:27. > :53:35.been picking up shots. This should get better now. Lovely shot from

:53:36. > :53:44.Stacy Lewis. Former world number one. Winner of this at St Andrews

:53:45. > :53:47.three years ago. Lexi Thompson spends more time on the practice

:53:48. > :53:58.putting green band nearly any other player. Sometimes it has Depay R.

:53:59. > :54:05.She is fairly low in the putting stats. Wonderful ball striker. She

:54:06. > :54:15.just keeps working away. Got dad on the bag this week. Shanshan Feng,

:54:16. > :54:26.3-wood off the tee. It is a dogleg to the left. Hast to hope that tree

:54:27. > :54:37.on the left-hand side sticking out a little bit. Settles in, just. That's

:54:38. > :54:51.OK, quite tight to that pin from the right-hand side.

:54:52. > :55:00.What a lovely scene this is, Green surrounded by people and all the

:55:01. > :55:06.trees out. These framed greens, all hoping Matthew can nudge this in to

:55:07. > :55:18.take the lead. Little lucky with her second. Only just tipped over the

:55:19. > :55:21.front. Like any good partnership, gets a lot of help from her husband.

:55:22. > :55:38.Particularly on the greens. Didn't do what either of them

:55:39. > :55:59.thought it would. Terrific follow-through by Mirim

:56:00. > :56:06.Lee. Don't try that if you are watching at home, you might end up

:56:07. > :56:13.in intensive care. You need a very live, supple body to make that

:56:14. > :56:23.movement. Stacy Lewis for her birdie on the fourth. Yes, it gets going in

:56:24. > :56:28.the right direction again. Dropped a shot in the third. Back into the

:56:29. > :56:43.group on 7-under alongside Lexi Thompson and Nicole Brock Larsson.

:56:44. > :56:54.Dead centre. Really good touch and feel there from Jutanugarn. Moves to

:56:55. > :56:59.12-under and takes the lead. She's been up at the sharp end of the

:57:00. > :57:04.leaderboard already in Majors this year. Suffered a bit of a collapse

:57:05. > :57:10.in the first one in the season when she was three shots clear. But she

:57:11. > :57:17.learned from experience. She did, because she came back and won three

:57:18. > :57:21.events on the trot. They were her breakthrough victories in America.

:57:22. > :57:28.She has already won an event when she was much younger on the lady's

:57:29. > :57:31.European Tour. She is a star in the making. Still has to make the key

:57:32. > :57:43.breakthrough in a major Championship. Could this be it? Now,

:57:44. > :57:53.Mo Martin. Very flat approach at the 4th. No bunkers on this hole, either

:57:54. > :57:59.off the tee ball on the green. That's very, very good indeed! And

:58:00. > :58:11.Mo Martin's got the laser irons working beautifully. Exceptional.

:58:12. > :58:17.Looking at the contours and the shape of the 3rd hole. Shanshan Feng

:58:18. > :58:28.let it slip away a little. Mirim Lee coming in from a much better line.

:58:29. > :58:32.The contours of the green feed it round. You can aim to the left of

:58:33. > :58:50.this pin and hopefully it should bring it round.

:58:51. > :59:00.Was exactly where she was aiming. Just asking it to go. Had the line

:59:01. > :59:12.only perfectly, just a little bit shy.

:59:13. > :59:23.From the other side, good-looking lie in the rough, shouldn't

:59:24. > :59:30.inconvenience Ha-Na Jang too much. The flag on this little collecting

:59:31. > :59:36.basin on side. Hast to track over the ridge. Now watch this. Working

:59:37. > :59:48.down beautifully. Two tasty shots there from this pairing.

:59:49. > :00:06.Mirim Lee, very good line in here. Incredible follow-through. Just

:00:07. > :00:11.leaked away to the right. Somebody applauding that. Somebody confused.

:00:12. > :00:16.Has gone down into the flat of the bunker, otherwise it could be

:00:17. > :00:21.tricky. I hope this replay goes all the way through to the end of her

:00:22. > :00:34.follow-through. Super flexibility. Very conventional. Left arm bicep

:00:35. > :00:41.barely leaving the chest. Full hip turn through impact. And then it

:00:42. > :00:42.just goes on, and on, and on. Keep turning, keep turning. Almost facing

:00:43. > :00:59.back towards the tee. Mo Martin just tapped hers in for a

:01:00. > :01:04.birdie. Jang follows in with a little swinger there. It's another

:01:05. > :01:11.birdie. So, that is 10-under for Jang, 9-under for Martin. A couple

:01:12. > :01:15.of groups are pulling each other along too. This Jang and Martin

:01:16. > :01:20.group and also Jutanugarn and Matthew, have both made good, good

:01:21. > :01:25.starts. When both players are playing well, they really can feed

:01:26. > :01:29.off each other. Yes. You maybe feel Andrew the last three pairings are

:01:30. > :01:35.just beginning to get a bit of daylight between themselves and the

:01:36. > :01:37.rest of the field. I think it's important when your fellow

:01:38. > :01:42.competitors are pumping it out at the flags. It makes you more

:01:43. > :01:45.aggressive. It worked for Stacy Lewis when she played the first two

:01:46. > :01:54.rounds with Jutanugarn. She was pulled along by the quality of her

:01:55. > :02:02.partner's play. Didn't go down into the bunker, Mirim Lee. Sticky stuff

:02:03. > :02:04.around the green here. Got to be quite aggressive with it, otherwise

:02:05. > :02:20.you can just fluff it a little. Fearful of that, zips through a

:02:21. > :02:35.little bit too strongly. Hands almost in the metal of the

:02:36. > :02:59.shaft. The blue arrows go out on the fourth

:03:00. > :03:01.to inKate the finishing positions of the tee shot of this penultimate

:03:02. > :03:26.pair. Opposite sides. Catriona down the

:03:27. > :03:30.right side to Jutanugarn. The rough is about two-and-a-half inches down.

:03:31. > :03:54.Just nestled down. The pin is on the right of the green.

:03:55. > :04:03.This is another thing where power is very handy, digging it out of the

:04:04. > :04:08.rotten lie. If she goes at the flag she's at risk. She has to go to the

:04:09. > :04:13.right of the flag by four or five, six yards, go deeper and the ball

:04:14. > :04:23.will get taken into the cut. A bit unlucky there on the second

:04:24. > :04:28.bounce. Scampered on and gave it a bit more energy to take it through

:04:29. > :04:34.the hollow. As she dug that out extraordinarily well. That is one of

:04:35. > :04:37.the great benefits of power. When you get in trouble, you can generate

:04:38. > :04:46.that strength coming through the rough. It was a nasty lie, I have to

:04:47. > :04:50.say. Where it finished, it was a reasonably easy shot and well

:04:51. > :04:54.recovered. Matthew in the perfect spot, 125. It's like a basin the

:04:55. > :04:58.left hand side and you are trying to hit the plug hole and it's possible

:04:59. > :05:02.you could run it in there. If you get it in the hollow, there's every

:05:03. > :05:05.chance it will run very tight to the flag.

:05:06. > :05:13.If you are a betting person, you might think you could end up with a

:05:14. > :05:25.two. It's one of those flags where someone's ball could get gobbled up.

:05:26. > :05:32.APPLAUSE. Just about like that. Took a bit of

:05:33. > :05:38.grab on the second bounce, enough to bring it to a halt. Wonderful shot

:05:39. > :05:44.from Catriona Matthew. We saw Mo Martin very nearly holing it, very

:05:45. > :05:54.pin-friendly position there. Back in the final group.

:05:55. > :06:03.A double breaker there for Feng. Coming up short. We have seen that a

:06:04. > :06:09.few times. She's not the most aggressive of putters. Mo Martin is

:06:10. > :06:15.just about as accurate off the tee as you will find. Certainly not a

:06:16. > :06:18.long hitter, but finds the fairway, the high 80%s. It's not a long par-4

:06:19. > :06:34.this one. And she misses the fairway.

:06:35. > :06:41.Extraordinary head cover. Mo Martin is hiding behind it. Big question

:06:42. > :06:50.being asked of Mirim Lee here. Remember her chip around this much

:06:51. > :07:01.past out of the heavy rough. No. So she's going to drop back there 2010

:07:02. > :07:07.under. Two behind Jutanugarn. -- to10 under. Making a habit of low

:07:08. > :07:15.rounds in the Majors. She says her goal is to keep that consistency

:07:16. > :07:19.going through all of the rounds. Ha Na Jang. Mo Martin going with the

:07:20. > :07:36.drive. Jang with a threewood. Same result down the same line into

:07:37. > :07:53.the first cult of rough. Always happy. This for par. That was a

:07:54. > :08:14.little sharp, a little jabby. Back of the 15th green at Wentworth

:08:15. > :08:19.this, has that feel to it, this shape of green. The rest of the

:08:20. > :08:25.green is horrifically tricky. Someone must have had a bad night

:08:26. > :08:29.before making this one. If you can leave yourself 18-20 foot, this is

:08:30. > :08:43.about as easy as you can get, not much break and fairly level too.

:08:44. > :09:02.She'll collect her par and we'll go to Stacy Lewis.

:09:03. > :09:11.She's trying to annex a number of birdies, next Saturday she'll be

:09:12. > :09:13.walking down the aisle, leaving mum to plan all the details of the

:09:14. > :09:23.wedding. As it should be. It will be

:09:24. > :09:35.meticulous. Mirim Lee the driver on the fourth. Not been a great start

:09:36. > :09:40.to this round now. But it has been a great start for Matthew. Can it be

:09:41. > :09:45.even better? She's deadly with that putter! Holed her fair share

:09:46. > :09:48.yesterday. She's going to gather up all the home support. Her third

:09:49. > :09:57.birdie in the opening four holes. She joins Jutanugarn at the lead at

:09:58. > :10:07.12-under. There is confirmation of that.

:10:08. > :10:15.Catriona, named Captain for the 2017 Solheim cup in Iowa next year. Still

:10:16. > :10:20.not decided whether she's going to play, sweltion be a vice captain.

:10:21. > :10:24.It's possible the way things are going and for 21 years as a

:10:25. > :10:27.professional in America and indeed a few years before that on the

:10:28. > :10:34.European Tour, she's one of our greatest golfing exports, is

:10:35. > :10:42.Catriona. Charley Hull after that seven triple at the first, remains

:10:43. > :10:43.at 2-under but some way off the pace now,n the shots behind our

:10:44. > :10:55.co-leaders. Matthew and Jutanugarn. Nice to see a home player doing so

:10:56. > :11:31.well. The ball nestled down a little here.

:11:32. > :11:33.Did she get it a trifle heavy. It was a great line, but very difficult

:11:34. > :11:53.to control coming out of that lie. Martin second shot to the fifth.

:11:54. > :12:07.Bunker in the way. Firm green. Out of light.

:12:08. > :12:10.Just landed on the edge of the green, stopped it a bit. Good break

:12:11. > :12:37.there. Back down to the tee. 3wood is that?

:12:38. > :12:40.You have got to hit it 230 yards otherwise you have to shape it

:12:41. > :12:43.around the corner. Two big beech trees the turn of the dog-leg and if

:12:44. > :12:48.you hit it past, the ball gets kicked to the right. It's a ball to

:12:49. > :12:59.play to the corner of the dog-leg then pitch down the hill.

:13:00. > :13:12.Little anxious going to the right. Oh, well right. Tricky. That's a

:13:13. > :13:16.tricky one. Missed the bunker. Hung on the slope. She's going to be

:13:17. > :13:22.standing miles below the ball. It's going to be very awkward. Just

:13:23. > :13:24.listen to the sound of this ball. It echoes about in the trees. This is

:13:25. > :13:36.what you call giving it a wollop. -- wallop. She didn't like it. Gone

:13:37. > :14:04.the other side? Got away with it. This is looking down to the fourth,

:14:05. > :14:05.the final group. Each player dropping a shot at the last.

:14:06. > :14:16.Smarting a little bit. Good birdie chance here today with

:14:17. > :14:29.the pin position in the basin. Second to the fourth. Feng.

:14:30. > :14:46.I love the way she plays, Peter. I just really enjoy watching her. Yes.

:14:47. > :15:00.Yes. Delicate one for Ha Na Jang. Played that very well. Very well

:15:01. > :15:24.indeed. Mirim Lee at the fourth. 133 yards to the flag.

:15:25. > :15:32.This is Martin for her birdie on five. Mo spent five years on the

:15:33. > :15:36.secondary Tour in the States before graduating to the LPGA in 2012. Of

:15:37. > :15:38.course, she burst into our consciousness with her win in this

:15:39. > :15:57.Championship two years ago. Only missed three greens in her

:15:58. > :16:08.opening two rounds. One of the most accurate players on the Tour.

:16:09. > :16:13.Would you say the women's Tour, generally speaking, America and

:16:14. > :16:18.Europe, the Far East, is it generally in pretty good shape,

:16:19. > :16:23.Maureen? It could be in a lot better shape in Europe, Peter. We need a

:16:24. > :16:28.lot more tournaments for the players. Obviously, the LPGA's

:16:29. > :16:36.reasonably successful, the Korean Tour is very successful. Ha Na Jang

:16:37. > :16:39.here won the Korean money list in 2013.

:16:40. > :16:46.Did that rather a lot. And then she went over to the States in 2015 and,

:16:47. > :16:54.as you have heard already so far, she's had two wins in America this

:16:55. > :16:58.year, so the Korean Tour's extremely strong, tremendous breeding ground

:16:59. > :17:06.for getting these players going. I would like to see more field Tours

:17:07. > :17:13.in Europe. I just hope more sponsors would realise it would be worth it.

:17:14. > :17:16.I hadn't understood why more sponsors hadn't come forward. I was

:17:17. > :17:21.honoured to be the first President when it was set up and I thought it

:17:22. > :17:27.would be a pushover, lots of people that make things that women use,

:17:28. > :17:31.make-up, shoes, clothes, glamour, whatever reason though, they didn't

:17:32. > :17:34.come, whether they were not attracted to it, I don't know. The

:17:35. > :17:39.golf courses were there, not at that level, but where we used to play,

:17:40. > :17:47.40-50 odd years ago, plenty of those. That was a bit short. In she

:17:48. > :17:56.went. That's her style. As long as she keeps her youed by still, on she

:17:57. > :18:00.goes -- her body still. On she goes. The players are all very engaging.

:18:01. > :18:02.That's a selling point. I think I maybe was even playing on the Tour

:18:03. > :18:04.when you were the President all those years ago. It was a

:18:05. > :18:17.troublesome time. Now, this isn't, well actually it's

:18:18. > :18:23.not a deep edge, it's not as bad as it might have been. It's not bad.

:18:24. > :18:30.The best she can do is sort of punch it to the front left of the green.

:18:31. > :18:37.It is awkward. It's lower down than it looked. Scratches it out. Play it

:18:38. > :18:44.gently, push it to the front of the green and it will come off the bank.

:18:45. > :18:48.Not a bad result. That was very gad. Her body was completely vertical

:18:49. > :18:52.when she was standing to the ball. Terribly easy to smother that way,

:18:53. > :18:58.way left. Just played it with her hands and arms. That's all right. A

:18:59. > :19:02.long time since she's had a chip. Well, they make you fat, you know!

:19:03. > :19:14.Perfect spot. Little gathering area. APPLAUSE.

:19:15. > :19:20.Always a bit of luck. People say, no, no, they controlled the spin,

:19:21. > :19:22.which is a worn out expression, but sometimes it works out OK and

:19:23. > :20:00.sometimes it doesn't. Mirim Lee. 170-yard par-3 for Lexi Thompson.

:20:01. > :20:11.Didn't look much more than a 7-iron she was hitting there. Nice.

:20:12. > :20:29.Back to the fourth. Feng's birdie attempt.

:20:30. > :21:01.Stacy Lewis for a birdie. Nice strike. What a result. You could see

:21:02. > :21:05.that right from the word go. Her body still went back about nine, ten

:21:06. > :21:16.inches and ten inches through the ball. Second birdie of the round.

:21:17. > :21:27.Slightly crusty line, ball sitting not too badly. Chipping up the hill.

:21:28. > :21:33.Well, she's certainly got her eye in. Half an inch left and that would

:21:34. > :21:38.have been a good backstop. Just catches the edge of the hole and the

:21:39. > :21:40.flag. Dead centre and it might have even gone in, I suppose. We shall

:21:41. > :22:10.never know. Due to move in to her new home in

:22:11. > :22:17.Berwick on Tuesday. Catriona says they are moving in, but then they

:22:18. > :22:22.have to go to Rio by 12th August. Friends of mine are moving tomorrow

:22:23. > :22:27.only about half a mile. It's dramatic. You would have thought

:22:28. > :22:33.they were going to Tibet. The Matthews are moving back into their

:22:34. > :22:55.original house after renovating. Nice town, North Berwick.

:22:56. > :23:08.Interesting putter. Half-and-half grip and shaft.

:23:09. > :23:17.Regulation kit now Ken. Has she done it? She has. She's a very good

:23:18. > :23:22.looking player, Ken, I must say. A very talented lass, isn't she? Oh,

:23:23. > :23:25.my goodness, it's all there. Nice touch, confident, 20 years of age.

:23:26. > :23:42.Very, very impressive. Nice atmosphere around women's golf.

:23:43. > :23:48.The majority are jolly and happy and talk to the caddy and smile. An

:23:49. > :23:49.important one here. Come on Catriona, you can do it. Yes, you

:23:50. > :24:00.can. Steady as a rock. That was a good escape there. Could

:24:01. > :24:06.have been one of those that just slip away, but she got a good par.

:24:07. > :24:07.Yes, after where her too shot finished, it was very good.

:24:08. > :24:34.Thompson. Just not quite coming off the blade

:24:35. > :24:41.with conviction. Hello! You don't see many of these old boys about.

:24:42. > :24:48.They're lovely. One of the delights of coming to the countryside. There

:24:49. > :25:06.was a tiny dear this morning. They came from China originally.

:25:07. > :25:13.Tricky for Mo Martin. Four different lengths of grass. Going to airmail

:25:14. > :25:27.this one. On the edge? Yes. I don't know why they take such a

:25:28. > :25:31.big swing. Since Mickelson started, then Tiger Woods, it's a big swing,

:25:32. > :25:35.lot of loft, hit it hard up in the air and really there's no need to do

:25:36. > :25:39.that all the time. There are other types of shot you can play.

:25:40. > :25:51.Everybody does it know. -- does it now. A couple of testing second

:25:52. > :25:56.shots coming up for this last group. Feng might be able to sneak this

:25:57. > :26:00.past without having to move it too much from left-to-right. Odds on

:26:01. > :26:14.this going through the green really isn't it, if it goes over the

:26:15. > :26:26.bunker. That looks like a tatty old fairway.

:26:27. > :26:42.Scampering down that slope, just as you foretold. That's not bad.

:26:43. > :26:51.Stopped reasonably well. Back to the fifth. After that fluffed pitch on

:26:52. > :27:03.the edge of the green, back to the fifth.

:27:04. > :27:21.Beautifully threw the ball there. The play, have to carry the ball

:27:22. > :27:24.almost like a false front and then severely downhill. She got a great

:27:25. > :27:35.bit of check on that. Precision strike. One of your lone trees left

:27:36. > :27:41.behind there, Maureen, stood like a sentinel. Gives it a bit of rough.

:27:42. > :27:45.Yes, now this is the par-3. Mo Martin's par putt. She was the one

:27:46. > :27:52.who actually just roughed the chip a bit. Ha Na Jang's strolled hers in,

:27:53. > :27:54.pretty much stone dead for her par. This is a par saver for Martin, but

:27:55. > :28:14.not to be. You can see Ha Na Jang's marker

:28:15. > :28:18.there. Good par-3s here, Peter? Yes, nice, biggish greens. They all run

:28:19. > :28:23.at everything so slightly different angles so that the breezes that

:28:24. > :28:29.funnel down the trees play a little bit of havoc, testing you all the

:28:30. > :28:40.time. Similar yardages but different clubs. That's a drop shot.

:28:41. > :28:53.The course is more difficult today. The number of greens and the flags

:28:54. > :28:56.have been put in the corners, making it awkward to get close. Jang now,

:28:57. > :29:21.for her three to stay 10-under. This sixth hole is playing 156 yards

:29:22. > :29:31.today. That is a very good view of it. Looking down at Catriona Matthew

:29:32. > :29:35.and Ariya Jutanugarn. You will notice most people tee their ball up

:29:36. > :29:40.on the left hand side of the tee blocks. There is a tree that

:29:41. > :29:45.overhangs, giving you a bit of an angle to get past.

:29:46. > :30:00.156. 9 tiern probably. Long chip, punchy chip forward -- 9-iron

:30:01. > :30:08.probably. Dribbled away a bit. Nicely struck. One of these cheeky

:30:09. > :30:13.pins. It's that branch of the pine tree hanging over Augusta style that

:30:14. > :30:18.makes this awkward. Can't quite get it high enough to guarantee to get

:30:19. > :30:24.it over if you put it a fraction you'll clank into it. This is a

:30:25. > :30:28.particularly dense area of the course coming up from the little

:30:29. > :30:42.pathway behind this tee. I lost Clive Clarke in the

:30:43. > :30:55.rhododendrons, and the bushes. He finally came out. Especially where

:30:56. > :31:04.the flag is cut today. You can stand outside, no penalty and that was a

:31:05. > :31:11.sweet shot. Very sweet shot. If you think back to Thursday morning after

:31:12. > :31:18.eight holes, Matthew was 2-over par. She is just a nice player. Sounds

:31:19. > :31:29.daft to say. Mirim Lee for a birdie at the 5th. She tickles it down the

:31:30. > :31:33.hill and it's there. It fascinates me, you see the different characters

:31:34. > :31:38.and not only at this level, but golf club level. Someone who's always in

:31:39. > :31:51.a rush, someone who is bit steady. Lexi Thompson. One of my favourite

:31:52. > :31:57.holes, playing from high up in the hill down to a Green set below her.

:31:58. > :32:03.Beautifully framed by the pines and the trees and the bracken. It is a

:32:04. > :32:09.wet corner of the cause, so you tend to take big divots down there. The

:32:10. > :32:14.seniors are here in the first week of September. Travis Perkins stage

:32:15. > :32:21.an event here. In it goes, well done. If you've not been to Woburn,

:32:22. > :32:25.and you want a good four days out, the first few days is on the Dukes

:32:26. > :32:31.course. The first of the three that was put together. Trouble for

:32:32. > :32:38.Charley Hull. Doing her best to recover from a horrific start.

:32:39. > :32:44.Nicely played. Great skill showcased. Awkward stance, kept her

:32:45. > :32:55.balance very well. Slid the club into the sand, under the ball. Stacy

:32:56. > :33:02.Lewis at the 7th par-5. Can she get up and out and close? She might do

:33:03. > :33:26.if it stops. Scampers on. Covers quite a big acreage. The

:33:27. > :33:30.holes aren't that far apart, but because of the trees there is good

:33:31. > :33:40.separation. You hardly see anyone else when you are on the course. But

:33:41. > :33:44.they are only 50, 60, 70 yards away. All these people are in with a

:33:45. > :33:56.chance if they just had a birdie run going and the final 18 tomorrow.

:33:57. > :34:04.Stacy Lewis, having a serious look at the hole, Peter. Nice to see the

:34:05. > :34:17.crowds, seeing them all lined up along here. Woburn is such a good

:34:18. > :34:26.location, a couple of miles of junction 13 of the M1.

:34:27. > :34:36.Alex Hayes old watering ground. I still miss the old rascal. This has

:34:37. > :34:38.got a little left to right. As it gets to the Cup, it may come the

:34:39. > :34:56.other. The early walk, indicates she knew

:34:57. > :35:03.she hadn't given it enough. She's doing very well, Maureen. The birdie

:35:04. > :35:12.and no drop shots. She looks as though she is comfortable. This is

:35:13. > :35:24.Mel Reed. Not having such a happy day today. 3-over. This is the 77.

:35:25. > :35:30.Yes. She had a run of three bogeys in the middle of the front line,

:35:31. > :35:45.another couple on the back and not a birdie to be seen. Can Matthew Read

:35:46. > :35:54.this one? Not far away. Just tickles across. But a comfortable three. No

:35:55. > :36:08.sweat. Another hole safely negotiated.

:36:09. > :36:15.Another birdie opportunity to Stacy Lewis. This is the par-5 with the

:36:16. > :36:32.split fairway. Good recovery to there. Not enough.

:36:33. > :36:53.8-under. Just treading water. Back to the sixth. Teeing up on the far

:36:54. > :36:59.left. Not that bad. Seeking perfection, perfect length. Ten

:37:00. > :37:16.yards. Ten yards drag. Not the end of the world.

:37:17. > :37:25.Back to Shanshan Feng. Had a very decorated amateur career. Nine wins

:37:26. > :37:29.in China. Her assessment of her own game is, she always hits well from

:37:30. > :37:40.the tee to the green and then it just depends on how she putts. Looks

:37:41. > :37:45.very calculated. It doesn't stop. It might have done, but it didn't. 25

:37:46. > :37:58.yards past. Faced with a tricky chip. Up to the flag. This will be a

:37:59. > :38:06.great up-and-down from the bulk of the C if she can steer this one

:38:07. > :38:11.home. Well done. Rattled in. She is on the march trying to peel back

:38:12. > :38:19.those shots she dropped on the first. She's only had one birdie.

:38:20. > :38:25.Currently 3-under, 2-over for today's round. Lexi Thompson for a

:38:26. > :38:40.birdie at the 9th. Needs to turn left. No. Never read it properly.

:38:41. > :38:57.Par-5. Interesting one, Ken. The split fairway? Most players go down

:38:58. > :39:04.the right because it is a bit wider. It has worked out perfectly. Grand

:39:05. > :39:14.old Pines standing. The horseshoe affect in the woods. Dipped down in

:39:15. > :39:21.front of the green. 507, it is just about in range if you get a good one

:39:22. > :39:26.away. The breeze, what bit there is, is slightly helping for the elevated

:39:27. > :39:29.tee. You don't want to go too far down the right-hand side, you can

:39:30. > :39:36.run over the top of the hill into the rough. Of the top off the tee

:39:37. > :39:49.again. She sweeps that drive away and it is an absolute belter.

:39:50. > :39:59.Unlucky. Caught a wet spot. Quick check on the leaderboard. Jutanugarn

:40:00. > :40:03.and Matthew setting the rounds. Mirim Lee, who has led this

:40:04. > :40:08.Championship after a sparkling opening round of 62, a Championship

:40:09. > :40:15.equalling record round. She has slipped two behind. There is Leona

:40:16. > :40:20.Maguire of Ireland, one of the few amateurs who will be playing at the

:40:21. > :40:24.Rio Olympics. She will be accompanying Stephanie Meadow 4-team

:40:25. > :40:30.Ireland. She is going well in the chase for the leading amateur here.

:40:31. > :40:35.Bronte Lord of England, one of the other amateurs in this field. She

:40:36. > :40:41.started bogey, bogey, so she has a bit of work to do. Charley Hull,

:40:42. > :40:48.having picked up a shot at the 7th, but still in arrears. 2-over in her

:40:49. > :40:58.round today. It was a shuddering halt to proceedings on the first

:40:59. > :41:16.after a triple bogey. Nice little pitch up the hill. Huge divot.

:41:17. > :41:29.That's the way you do it! A real roller-coaster of a putt for Feng

:41:30. > :41:37.here. Very rolling greens, lots of switchbacks, humps and hollows. The

:41:38. > :41:45.greens are quite big. At the 7th, she has hit two very good shots onto

:41:46. > :41:47.the screen. Going down into a slight hollow, up the other side. Not 1

:41:48. > :42:12.million miles away. The eighth playing 170 yards today.

:42:13. > :42:26.Tucked down the left-hand side. It is a great shot. Getting better all

:42:27. > :42:34.the time. Back to the sixth. Quite a long birdie putt. Again, up, out of

:42:35. > :42:51.the slight hollow. Up the hill, over the top. Dead weight.

:42:52. > :43:12.Up on the seventh. Ha-Na Jang. Let's see how quickly she keeps after the

:43:13. > :43:22.ball. She followed the ball with her eyes, very quickly. And then it was

:43:23. > :43:35.time for tea. That's what you call relaxed. Pina Colorado? No, later,

:43:36. > :43:40.maybe. Found somebody's chair, probably one of the stewards.

:43:41. > :43:47.Wonderful amount of volunteers who always turn up here. It is a good

:43:48. > :43:53.way to see the goal. Mo Martin, just taking a little bit more time after

:43:54. > :44:06.this after seeing Ha-Na Jang slide her birdie attempt pass the hole.

:44:07. > :44:23.Well done. As he mentioned, she is very much favouring the short

:44:24. > :44:33.backswing, Poppy, Ratty style. Thank has this far par. She needs to aim

:44:34. > :44:41.at this at the right edge. No. Not a bad tee shot. Ran through the back

:44:42. > :44:57.of the green, three from the edge. Shot dropped.

:44:58. > :45:10.Up to the next par-3. Stacy Lewis. Beautiful tee shot. But not managing

:45:11. > :45:16.to convert. Hasn't won an individual title for a couple of years. We just

:45:17. > :45:22.look and see the choices made by the players in this penultimate group.

:45:23. > :45:27.This is Jutanugarn. Most players only go down the right if they

:45:28. > :45:32.believe they can make the carry in two. Mackie went down that way but

:45:33. > :45:41.she got no run. I think she was lucky. If she had had a big bounce

:45:42. > :45:47.she would have toppled over the end. She also had a bit of mud on the

:45:48. > :45:53.ball. But her playing partner, 232 the front of the green. Just about

:45:54. > :46:05.capable of making it. It sounded all right.

:46:06. > :46:16.She really uses that iron well. Gives it a good crack. 25 short of

:46:17. > :46:28.the hole. Down the hill at the 9th for Hull.

:46:29. > :46:45.It did go, it obeyed the command. Good shot. Started with a seven.

:46:46. > :46:53.Scrappy, silly seven. Thompson at the 10th. Interesting style. Lot of

:46:54. > :46:57.body action. Dead online. Hard to believe she is still only 21 years

:46:58. > :47:03.of age, Maureen, she seems to have been around for so long. I think I

:47:04. > :47:09.saw her on the European Tour when she was 15. You get used to them

:47:10. > :47:11.being around and then after ages, you discover they are only just 21

:47:12. > :47:28.and 22. Interesting, Matthew has played into

:47:29. > :47:37.the valley. Downslope of a lie. Very tricky to get the ball on side. She

:47:38. > :47:50.is very methodical, plays the game like chess. Bernhard Langer, like.

:47:51. > :47:57.Linger longer with Langer. That's good, too. She plots her way around

:47:58. > :48:06.the course, very tidy and needs. -- meet. Charley Hull for a birdie on

:48:07. > :48:21.the ninth. This would get her out in 37. It is drifting off.

:48:22. > :48:38.Mo Martin. One of those rescued clubs. Bigger club than a rescue

:48:39. > :48:46.club, but she is online and has found the target. Interesting how

:48:47. > :48:56.clubs have changed over the years, Maureen. We will never return to the

:48:57. > :49:09.wooden headed clubs, I am convinced. Mirim Lee. Left to right. I think

:49:10. > :49:17.left. She hasn't. She is fortunate to get a bit of stop on it. She's

:49:18. > :49:31.not very far from the end. She took a bit of a risk, but that is a damp

:49:32. > :49:38.area down there. She chuckles away. Just trying to turn this 1-over into

:49:39. > :49:50.the flag on the left-hand side. Good shot. Many more punchy players now.

:49:51. > :49:59.I remember Bunty Stevens, an old friend of mine at Birkdale years

:50:00. > :50:03.ago. She had a wide, low swing. Taps it in. Well done Charley Hull. Pull

:50:04. > :50:26.yourself together on the back nine. Has she got a good lie in the

:50:27. > :50:30.bunker, Ken? Yes, about 40 yards and a little bit of a hollow to get the

:50:31. > :50:37.ball through. This is very awkward. You can try to be too cute and put

:50:38. > :50:43.it over the back. Pretty good. She managed to get it up and quickly and

:50:44. > :50:47.with a bit of run out on it. Without hitting it seemingly all that hard.

:50:48. > :50:50.It was very well controlled. She knows what she's about, this lasts.

:50:51. > :51:17.She really does. Thompson... Three birdies already

:51:18. > :51:22.today. Go on. When she gets in full flow, she really is the most

:51:23. > :51:31.wonderful golfer to watch. Ranked number four in the world now.

:51:32. > :51:35.Already got a major under her belt. She's had a few putts like that

:51:36. > :51:42.today, that have stopped right on the edge. Back to the penultimate

:51:43. > :51:57.game. Interesting how she doesn't put the

:51:58. > :52:04.ball down on the green until later on in the peas. Does all the

:52:05. > :52:13.preparation. He points there, just a little routine. Just over those

:52:14. > :52:20.little blades of grass. Ball down. Doesn't take long when she's over

:52:21. > :52:24.it, Ken. No, she has decided, just about half an inch outside the left,

:52:25. > :52:34.which is just outside that, little up the hill. For birdie. Couple of

:52:35. > :52:50.looks. Taps it on its way. The know. Sliding all the way. That might help

:52:51. > :52:57.Matthew's putt, the reading of, Ken? From this angle it is a bit left to

:52:58. > :53:01.right. The pace is slower than you think and if you haven't got enough

:53:02. > :53:08.on it, it will dive to the right. Matty's putting so far today has

:53:09. > :53:12.been absolutely mustered. She looks absolutely comfortable, she has one

:53:13. > :53:19.of those fat grip that is, by the looks of it. It is a classic setup

:53:20. > :53:23.routine, comes up from behind, couple of practice strokes. She does

:53:24. > :53:30.it the old-fashioned way. Yes, it is just simple. It stayed left, would

:53:31. > :53:56.you believe it. Would you believe it? I thought that was odds-on. Safe

:53:57. > :54:05.part. -- par. Long putt from Mo Martin here at eight.

:54:06. > :54:16.Very nice. Very nice. It is a real global game, the women's game and

:54:17. > :54:21.the last 16 players off the tee today, there were ten nationalities

:54:22. > :54:30.represented. One of them from the United States, Stacy Lewis. Steady.

:54:31. > :54:47.It is a beauty. Mirim Lee has gone down the right.

:54:48. > :54:56.Looks and narrow target, through that gap on the left. And it looks a

:54:57. > :55:05.long way away. Can she carry the bunker? She can. One good hop

:55:06. > :55:16.forward, it could have been very close. Two big hits.

:55:17. > :55:32.Now -- Ha Na Jang's birdie attempt. I have been doing a bit of a survey

:55:33. > :55:37.this week, Peter. I am looking at putting grips, as in how the players

:55:38. > :55:45.put their hands on the part. We're talking about right-handed players,

:55:46. > :55:49.50% have left below right, and 50% is more conventional. If you saw

:55:50. > :55:54.something that strayed from the Orthodox, you immediately thought

:55:55. > :56:04.they had a problem. Yes, Cross handed and then came the long

:56:05. > :56:08.putter. Amber Marchbank grip, and Bernhard Langer was very successful

:56:09. > :56:17.with it for a time, before he went to the long putter. It is a game

:56:18. > :56:18.within a game. Those tiddlers, it is so annoying when you miss these. She

:56:19. > :56:43.doesn't. Pretty tight at the top. All the way

:56:44. > :56:54.down, a lot of players from 6-under, shooting 67.

:56:55. > :57:13.Parfrey the eighth, on the left-hand side. -- par-5.

:57:14. > :57:20.There is the gallant colonel. His last tournament. We will see more of

:57:21. > :57:27.him over the last 24 hours, I am sure. They have provided so much

:57:28. > :57:32.help for us over the years, taking leave from their army duties to come

:57:33. > :57:39.and help but golf tournaments. She has lined this up. Just watch the

:57:40. > :57:49.rhythm. Sitting up for a little draw, little bits of right-to-left

:57:50. > :57:59.on it. How is it looking, Ken? If the distance is right, it is looking

:58:00. > :58:15.crushed E. The best round for this third round so far is still from

:58:16. > :58:24.Chun, from South Korea. Nicole Broch Larsen is 8-under. Leona Maguire is

:58:25. > :58:31.7-under. Charley fires one in here. Marching down the back nine. She

:58:32. > :58:39.could do with coming home in 32. That would boost her morale. She had

:58:40. > :58:47.a nice run of birdies yesterday on the back nine, so it is well within

:58:48. > :58:52.her capability. Not seeing many putts hold, Maureen. Considering the

:58:53. > :58:58.greens are magnificent. The whole courses. Beautifully done and

:58:59. > :59:02.congratulations to all concerned. Three courses here and they are all

:59:03. > :59:16.immaculate and all slightly different. This is going to be a

:59:17. > :59:20.long, eagle putt. You are right Peter, at how unlucky she was at the

:59:21. > :59:30.shot, but she played in with a 3-wood. There is moisture in that

:59:31. > :59:38.side, the water drains down there. But the ball almost went backwards.

:59:39. > :59:45.Firm bounce, she would have been up within 12 feet of the hole or so. It

:59:46. > :59:53.will be good going if she gets round in two. Pace and aligned, the old

:59:54. > :00:00.Crown Green Bowling. Roll it up to the jack. Down the little hollow, up

:00:01. > :00:24.the other side. Perfect length. Beautiful length.

:00:25. > :00:37.Just sweeping across a Birds Eye view to the eighth.

:00:38. > :00:44.A little minivalley of sin there Ken, that she's walking up. Yes,

:00:45. > :00:53.nine times out of ten it would have gone down the slope which would have

:00:54. > :01:00.made it a little trickier. It's going to be a chip and run.

:01:01. > :01:08.A few years ago, they would have played with anything from a 4-iron

:01:09. > :01:13.to 7-iron, now I wouldn't be surprised if we see one of the most

:01:14. > :01:19.lofted clubs. Look at the loft on this. Hands forward, got to hit it

:01:20. > :01:25.just right. Very easy to get it to check and come up short. She's done

:01:26. > :01:30.it beautifully. Can't complain about that! I think she knows what she's

:01:31. > :01:47.doing. Leave the girl alone! Tidy card! Going well. A two-shot

:01:48. > :01:55.lead now over Matthew. Let's have another look at that, Peter.

:01:56. > :01:58.Beautifully played. I suppose the result is the same as... Oh,

:01:59. > :02:21.beautifully touched. I bet Catriona is mumbling to

:02:22. > :02:25.herself there, fancy her holing that. She's not far away either. A

:02:26. > :02:51.little bit more, but that's a nice three.

:02:52. > :02:58.You tend to get a hanging lie here at the ninth for your second. This

:02:59. > :03:02.one doesn't look too bad. There's one of the big valleys. There are

:03:03. > :03:06.several of them that run through the course and until we've cut away

:03:07. > :03:12.through the roads and things, we didn't know they were there, the

:03:13. > :03:21.Ferns and the rhododendrons, but it gives the course a lot of character.

:03:22. > :03:30.Now, will the charge begin here? For Charley? No.

:03:31. > :03:36.Just has to guard against getting frustrated. She's hitting a lot of

:03:37. > :03:40.good shots, beginning to give herself the chances. Patience is the

:03:41. > :04:13.key, sometimes you can't force things too much.

:04:14. > :04:46.She's a player who can really eat up the par-5s, so she's left herself a

:04:47. > :04:53.decent chance there. Reached the 9th hole. 14-under. Par-4 straightaway.

:04:54. > :05:02.Massively wide fairway that runs away from you. Iron off the tee

:05:03. > :05:14.again. My word, she gives it a good crack. Gone off like a tracer

:05:15. > :05:19.bullet. Like one of Davis Love's. He could do it. So could Greg Norman.

:05:20. > :05:25.If you run through the fairway on the right, it's not too bad. Ideally

:05:26. > :05:30.you want to be down the right side, about 250 yards out.

:05:31. > :05:41.Catriona with a little lofted wood. Metal, wetle, kettle, whatever it

:05:42. > :05:45.is, and she binges it away, hits it straight off the top of the tee

:05:46. > :05:49.every time. That bounds away, look at that! That could be awkward down

:05:50. > :06:19.there. Luck of the draw. Mirim Lee's tee shot like a tracer

:06:20. > :06:29.bullet there, nicely in off the curb. Excellent.

:06:30. > :06:37.Jutanugarn, the 20-year-old from Bangkok now beginning to take a bit

:06:38. > :06:41.of a group. A two-shot lead now. The fireworks, as we saw, the chip-in at

:06:42. > :06:47.the eighth, it's all going this young lady's way. Catriona Matthew

:06:48. > :06:49.giving chase at 46 years of age. Mirim Lee and Ha Na Jang also very

:06:50. > :07:05.much in touch. So up on the green, Mo Martin.

:07:06. > :07:10.Interested by that choice off the tee for Catriona Matthew there. It

:07:11. > :07:11.clearly was a choice that bounded through the fairway and down the

:07:12. > :07:20.slope. Looking back from the green, you can

:07:21. > :07:22.see where Catriona Matthew will be down that slope there. It's not too

:07:23. > :07:47.bad there. Got that wrong. 54 players are under

:07:48. > :07:49.par here. We have taken this course apart and again, they have been

:07:50. > :08:09.playing at a modest length. Slightly splayed elbows in the style

:08:10. > :08:12.of Lexi. We judge her by high standards. She plays very well from

:08:13. > :08:30.putt to green. Ha Na Jang. A quick one but not quite that pacy.

:08:31. > :09:00.Just the one birdie today for Jang. Seven yards on. She was blocked out

:09:01. > :09:03.there, just attacking around the bunker, as you can see, keeping it

:09:04. > :09:10.under the trees. Ha Na Jang and Mo Martin. I think

:09:11. > :09:41.it's Martin first. Ariya Jutanugarn waiting for her to

:09:42. > :09:49.get into her met Tative pose. -- meditative pose. She did some work

:09:50. > :09:55.about relaxing herself so she's taken the lessons to heart.

:09:56. > :10:03.Jutanugarn lighting a scented candle down the fairway.

:10:04. > :10:10.Jutanugarn's routine. Oosthuizen when he won the Open at St Andrews

:10:11. > :10:14.looked at the red dot on his glove. Players conjure up all kinds of

:10:15. > :10:22.things to get themselves into the zone. Nice little trigger to start

:10:23. > :10:26.and every routine will be the same. Ha Na Jang comes forward.

:10:27. > :10:35.Looks at the hole. Spread the feet a little wider.

:10:36. > :10:46.And it works. Good save after a cautious first putt. One birdie, all

:10:47. > :10:56.the rest pars for Ha Na Jang on the front nine. Interesting Maureen,

:10:57. > :11:03.Jutanugarn and Matthews crashed one through? I think that might have

:11:04. > :11:11.been the case because the tee shot number seven dug its heels in. Took

:11:12. > :11:17.a mighty bounce. This couldn't be placed in a better spot, 170 yards.

:11:18. > :11:19.Not a pin to coy with ideally between the TV tower and the flag

:11:20. > :11:37.and the slope. Very good shot perfect for distance.

:11:38. > :11:41.I couldnd work out what she was doing off the tee. It got a big

:11:42. > :11:47.shoot forward. It went crashing through the fairway a long way down

:11:48. > :11:53.there. It really didn't shoot forward. It's not too bad. Only got

:11:54. > :11:58.135. Again, she's got to aim a little left, further right to the

:11:59. > :12:03.shallow of the green. This is not a time to be terribly bold. As a

:12:04. > :12:18.tactician, there's nothing better. This is a hanging line.

:12:19. > :12:27.She did very well there. Set it off, just a bite on the TV tower and not

:12:28. > :12:31.a shot to take any liberties with. Time to press the go button and

:12:32. > :12:51.there's a time to just be a little bit more conservative.

:12:52. > :12:58.Stacy Lewis had to put one low just off to the right and a little chip

:12:59. > :13:12.is very well played indeed. Lovely shot by Lewis.

:13:13. > :13:31.Unlucky. Never easy to sleep on the lead. She's done that for a couple

:13:32. > :13:33.of evenings. But she's getting more accustomed to it, getting more

:13:34. > :13:37.comfortable up there with people chasing her. She's two shots adrift

:13:38. > :13:46.at the moment. Maguire putting together a very nice

:13:47. > :14:03.round again. Just creeps over into the top ten,

:14:04. > :14:09.Maguire. 4-under for her round leading the amateur standings by a

:14:10. > :14:45.good few shots under Bronte Law. 3wood for Ha Na Jang. 344 yards.

:14:46. > :14:55.Gives it the plum line. That's old school, that is.

:14:56. > :15:00.Dangerously downhill this one, a yard past the flag. You want a steep

:15:01. > :15:41.down slope. Needs a silky touch. Nicely played resolutely to the

:15:42. > :15:54.left. Pretty good pace. Mirim Lee. Let's have a look at this

:15:55. > :16:11.follow-through again. That one gets a shooting bounce

:16:12. > :16:16.forward as well. I think that's going to hang on.

:16:17. > :16:43.You are landing on a downslope there.

:16:44. > :17:18.Just got to cosy it down with maximum break.

:17:19. > :17:26.Catriona Matthew had already been established on the LPGA Tour for a

:17:27. > :17:32.couple of years when Jutanugarn was born. There aren't many more

:17:33. > :17:38.experienced players in the game than Catriona mathee r yew. Laura Davies

:17:39. > :17:42.and her. -- Catriona Matthew. Not many women in the gamekeep going

:17:43. > :17:51.into their 40s. Maybe they've got more sense!

:17:52. > :18:00.That's OK. Gets a lot of action on the ball Lexi. A lot of moving

:18:01. > :18:05.parts. When we look at the super slo-mo of the others, there doesn't

:18:06. > :18:09.seem to be many moving parts and Catriona knocks that in and these

:18:10. > :18:16.pairing have had no drop shots between them. Treely high standard

:18:17. > :18:22.of golf in this pressure situation. When did she get the nickname

:18:23. > :18:26.beanie? A long time ago in east Lothian. Maguire six shots clear of

:18:27. > :18:52.Bronte Law in the amateur case. Tee shots of Mirim Lee and Shanshan

:18:53. > :18:57.Feng going through. You can see the ball there right at the end of the

:18:58. > :19:01.fairway. Mirim Lee slightly hanging lie.

:19:02. > :19:12.A shot through the valley up towards the green.

:19:13. > :19:20.A lot of players on the left hand side. Helen's popped in to see us

:19:21. > :19:32.again. Hello. Hello. What Swedish words are we going to learn today? !

:19:33. > :19:50.Mo Martin on the tenth hole, one of the easier holes on the golf course.

:19:51. > :20:03.Let us see if Maguire can finish out here on the hole. Beautifully done.

:20:04. > :20:13.A very, very good round from Lee-Anne Maguire, a 68. Goodness,

:20:14. > :20:21.that was a violent high five. -- Leona Maguire. Good that it happened

:20:22. > :20:23.afterwards so there was no injury. That was her twin sister Lisa on the

:20:24. > :20:41.bag. Ha Na Jang. Slightly over club. Still on the

:20:42. > :20:43.green but sure she's not too happy about that one. Jutanugarn on the

:20:44. > :20:54.tee. A low bulleted drilling one on the

:20:55. > :21:02.tenth. It could park itself behind the tree. May just be OK. You can be

:21:03. > :21:12.well on this fairway and right behind a tree up this left side.

:21:13. > :21:21.420 yards. Pin tucked over the left bunker so you really must come off

:21:22. > :21:33.the fairway. A bit of a humdinger of a flag.

:21:34. > :21:38.We are enjoying the contrast between these two playing their games.

:21:39. > :21:44.Jutanugarn hits it so long, hitting irons off the tee most of the time.

:21:45. > :21:48.Side by side and sharing a chat. I was having lunch with Catriona today

:21:49. > :21:51.and she was saying she felt very, very comfortable with her game and

:21:52. > :21:56.she was super happy about her performance yesterday and she said

:21:57. > :21:59.she'd played a lot with Ariya in the States and they're both very calm

:22:00. > :22:04.and collected players and are playing very well. They're very good

:22:05. > :22:11.for each other out there. Lexi Thompson, another birdie chance.

:22:12. > :22:19.Never looks quite comfortable on the greens. She comes up like she wants

:22:20. > :22:29.to guide it rather than letting the putt hit the ball and stay online.

:22:30. > :23:00.Stacy Lewis on the 11th, par-5. Getting a little too much on that

:23:01. > :23:04.one. Over and up, some of the toughest putts I think, because you

:23:05. > :23:20.have to get over the hill and it gets away from her.

:23:21. > :23:55.Very impressive, six shots clear of Bronte Law.

:23:56. > :24:03.Mo hasn't really found the pace really either. You would think that

:24:04. > :24:09.she, her bread and butter is really her short game and we were saying

:24:10. > :24:13.before that she's, even though she's won the British Open she's not fund

:24:14. > :24:15.herself up on the leaderboard, and it's a different feeling when you

:24:16. > :24:23.get up there and have a chance to win. We have been talking about that

:24:24. > :24:30.round Leona Maguire. She leads the amateur race by a distance now.

:24:31. > :24:34.Interesting to get her thoughts talking to Hazel.

:24:35. > :24:39.Andrew was just saying six shots clear of Bronte Law in the chase,

:24:40. > :24:45.give us your reaction to the 68, there was a wee fist bump there,

:24:46. > :24:48.enjoy it? It was a great day out there today, I enjoyed every minute

:24:49. > :24:53.of it, gave myself a lot of chances and took them. Tell us how positive

:24:54. > :24:57.this situation is because you have the world number two, Bronte

:24:58. > :25:00.yourself are three, and the world number four is going for it too this

:25:01. > :25:04.weekend. We are seeing more and more amateurs right up at the top

:25:05. > :25:10.Echelons of professional events these days? Yes, absolutely. Amateur

:25:11. > :25:16.golfers are as strong as they have ever been. Bronte is obviously a

:25:17. > :25:22.friend of mine. It's great to see all the amateurs doing well. I'm

:25:23. > :25:28.interested to know your ambitions this weekend, are you out to win

:25:29. > :25:31.this title? We'll see how it goes tomorrow. I'll try to make as many

:25:32. > :25:37.birdies as I can and see what happens. Like you, with so many

:25:38. > :25:40.others going to Rio, you are one of the few amateurs in this

:25:41. > :25:44.professional field. Thame us about your prospects and what you are most

:25:45. > :25:48.looking forward to? I can't wait for Rio, it will be a dream come true

:25:49. > :25:54.for me to represent Ireland on that stage. I've watched the Olympics

:25:55. > :25:58.enough times, usually on the TV, so it will be great to be part of it

:25:59. > :26:02.this year. In the village, we'll get to soak up the whole atmosphere and

:26:03. > :26:08.cheer on the rest of the Irish athletes out there. Well, we saw you

:26:09. > :26:13.pull off almost a professional victory last year, who knows what is

:26:14. > :26:19.ahead. Good luck. Thank you. Interesting the approach she's

:26:20. > :26:23.taken. You think of her as an amateur, and she's older than some

:26:24. > :26:38.of her colleagues. Bronte Law, three holes to go. Was going well for a

:26:39. > :26:42.while. Maria Parra, 78. Maguire might be heading for the top prize

:26:43. > :26:49.but might have her eyes on something else. Watching Jang for a par first.

:26:50. > :27:00.Ran a little bit by. This is important to stay in the race. That

:27:01. > :27:05.was not a good effort. I think going back to Leona, that is what is so

:27:06. > :27:09.great, because when they come out on Tour, they win right away. We came

:27:10. > :27:13.out a couple of years and wanted to know how it felt to be a

:27:14. > :27:19.professional. They get to contend even as amateurs. When they become

:27:20. > :27:24.professional, the step up is not that big.

:27:25. > :27:29.Most of the players left this out to the right a bit. Being cautious with

:27:30. > :27:33.it. Miriam Lee no different. I think they think it's a lot faster than

:27:34. > :27:36.it's been proven to putt today and it's hard to give it a go when it's

:27:37. > :28:00.a downhill putt. Another very good iron shot from

:28:01. > :28:06.Jutanugarn. Very impressive player. A lot of glies would like to play

:28:07. > :28:09.like a girl when they look at her. She's got the distance. It's not

:28:10. > :28:15.just the distance, she's playing with real composure as well and good

:28:16. > :28:21.touch around the greens. She's an all-round good player. This is

:28:22. > :28:22.another one, Catriona Matthew, that is a very well all-round good

:28:23. > :28:35.player. A little bit too much. A pretty

:28:36. > :28:48.decent chance on that one. So Mirim Lee to remain two behind. A

:28:49. > :29:08.confident stroke. Charley Hull we've been told has had

:29:09. > :29:16.a penalty drop. Not going well for her today. No, I think it was a very

:29:17. > :29:21.tough start for Charley. A very good save for a bogey though. I think

:29:22. > :29:25.since she's never said she's really been nervous, there's been a couple

:29:26. > :29:29.of days where she felt something she's never really felt to that

:29:30. > :29:32.extent, you know, being home with all her friends and family on the

:29:33. > :29:39.home course. There's not a lot you can do, it has to be going its own

:29:40. > :29:44.way when it comes to nerves. Jutanugarn sizing up her putt. The

:29:45. > :29:49.driver is so dominant in the modern game, she decides not to take it.

:29:50. > :29:54.She thinks she can hit it far enough. She could find another 20

:29:55. > :30:00.yards, goodness me. She doesn't need it. She's hitting two irons into the

:30:01. > :30:05.par-5s and I think to have the driver and get herself into trouble

:30:06. > :30:11.than to be leading the US Open, sorry, the British Open, with the

:30:12. > :30:15.irons and 3-wood, I think she would be smarter to take the second route.

:30:16. > :30:22.She wouldn't be able to take a driver here because of the distance

:30:23. > :30:31.they play. She would have to take the iron most of the time anyway.

:30:32. > :30:41.This is a fast putt. We saw Ha-Na Jang previously. She found the right

:30:42. > :30:46.pace and she found the Cup. Another birdie. I haven't seen the sign of

:30:47. > :30:57.any nerves from her today. Just going along, like a walk in the

:30:58. > :31:03.park. It is a slow walk in the park. I liked the way she is playing at

:31:04. > :31:08.her own pace. She is not being rushed. When she gets up to play the

:31:09. > :31:12.shot, she is quick enough, but between she is at a steady rhythm.

:31:13. > :31:25.It is going to be a pretty quick round. Catriona Matthew, struggling

:31:26. > :31:37.to keep pace. Started off so well, three birdies in the fourth. All

:31:38. > :31:44.Pars since then. I hope she stays calm and not tries to force it. It

:31:45. > :31:49.is not over today. Just positions at yourself in a nice position. Here is

:31:50. > :32:16.Mirim Lee. In the bunker, that is a tough shot.

:32:17. > :32:31.Straight in the bunker at 230 yards. Talking about awkward shots... It is

:32:32. > :32:34.a very tough shot, all uphill. But she played it beautifully. And you

:32:35. > :32:38.have to hit it so much harder than you think because the ball is going

:32:39. > :32:47.to go straight up. She definitely did that. Pursed lips, Stacy Lewis.

:32:48. > :32:58.Always looks a bit disenchanted with life.

:32:59. > :33:12.Life is good. She did smile twice yesterday. Use them all up. Shanshan

:33:13. > :33:19.Feng, down the fairway. And Mirim Lee, just avoided the sand. Probably

:33:20. > :33:24.would have preferred... She's going to have to stand in the bunker and

:33:25. > :33:30.take one or two more clubs to get to that. The only danger that could be,

:33:31. > :33:35.she will hit the grass a little bit too much, too quick. She will have

:33:36. > :33:53.to be very careful to take the ball first. It was the first longer she

:33:54. > :33:58.has just avoided. It is an untidy mistake. It is quite a

:33:59. > :34:04.straightforward hole, the tenth. For being such an easy hole, it has

:34:05. > :34:17.caused the play is quite a bit of a problem this week.

:34:18. > :34:25.Much deliberation. She should come out little bit left. It is important

:34:26. > :34:31.for her to stay off on the back foot here. If she moves in, she's going

:34:32. > :34:56.to hit it heavy. She's going to have to play with the slope.

:34:57. > :35:07.Her caddy, urging it on. When you have such an uphill lie, it is going

:35:08. > :35:12.to take a lot out of it, but she got it on the green. I am sure she's

:35:13. > :35:20.quite happy. Big smile, she is happy, she is on the putting

:35:21. > :35:28.surface. Always happy, happy soul. Jutanugarn. See if she can give this

:35:29. > :35:35.a lick with the 3-wood. That's tight. She can take a tighter line

:35:36. > :35:48.here, almost creeps out onto the fairway. What a difference it is

:35:49. > :35:55.with Mo Martin. This is her third shot on this par-5. She has the

:35:56. > :36:06.hybrid. Little bit harder to get the ball closer to the pin when you come

:36:07. > :36:11.in that low and running. She is so good with those clubs. She wears out

:36:12. > :36:18.the face on those clubs, the amount of times she has two hit them.

:36:19. > :36:24.Catriona Matthew, with the driver. Birdied on both days so far at this

:36:25. > :36:30.par-5. I think it's easy now to start to feel like you want to force

:36:31. > :36:34.it a little bit. Didn't get much bounce out of that one. That one

:36:35. > :36:54.just stuck on landing. If we can get Charley to do

:36:55. > :37:08.something. That's not Charley, that is Ha-Na Jang, sorry I apologise.

:37:09. > :37:15.Little greedy, I thought, on that shot. She had plenty on the right

:37:16. > :37:24.side to work with. Here comes Charley. She is in Swedish yellow

:37:25. > :37:39.today. Yellow and blue, look at that. That is what she did for me.

:37:40. > :37:45.Great shot from Charley. Lexi Thompson. Let's see if she can put a

:37:46. > :37:51.positive stroke on this one. Although it is quite quick and a bit

:37:52. > :37:53.of break in it. Wasn't a putt to be aggressive on. She has judged that

:37:54. > :38:11.beautifully. Not long until the leaders get to

:38:12. > :38:14.the 12th hole. It is a very interesting shot par-4. We centre

:38:15. > :38:23.not only can, but Peter Alice to have a look at it earlier on. I am

:38:24. > :38:27.with the Maestro on the 12th green. It is a tricky pin position today,

:38:28. > :38:33.Peter? I wouldn't want to be putting from up there with a shaky grip. The

:38:34. > :38:37.tee is back there and most players will lay up. Look where the water

:38:38. > :38:42.is, we have only got three paces over to the water today. If you come

:38:43. > :38:45.in with a wedge, it will be difficult to hold it. A lot of

:38:46. > :38:51.players will have to play beyond the flag. They could use the contours to

:38:52. > :38:57.the left. This leaves and manageable putt. It is pretty quick downhill,

:38:58. > :39:07.Peter? You need a delicate touch, Kenneth. If anyone has a delicate

:39:08. > :39:13.touch, it is you. You never lose it. This flag on the 12 is in a tricky

:39:14. > :39:19.spot. You will have to have your wits about you. If you go fit, you

:39:20. > :39:25.are risking everything. It could be dangerous. Two smiling rogues.

:39:26. > :39:30.Looking at number 12. Sometimes they bump the teacup and the players will

:39:31. > :39:35.have a go at this green. Sometimes that they do in the men's

:39:36. > :39:42.tournaments. Charley has left it short of the pin. Chance to get to

:39:43. > :39:55.three. That's how you do it when you play the 12.

:39:56. > :40:07.Mo Martin hit in that wonderful, low, long fairway wood. She is now

:40:08. > :40:13.considering all possible options. Yardage chart. Green Charter

:40:14. > :40:16.examined. The lie of the land study, a few brass rubbing is taken.

:40:17. > :40:31.Everything is taken into account. She hasn't really come into the

:40:32. > :40:58.groove today, she has just been fighting to stay where she is.

:40:59. > :41:05.She has got it! Worth the effort and the concentration. And the looks

:41:06. > :41:16.from all sides. Mo Martin, that is a hard earned birdie from some way

:41:17. > :41:22.down the fairway. She is trying to get it in two using the hybrid.

:41:23. > :41:34.There is always a way it can be done. Mo Martin gets to ten. This

:41:35. > :41:43.one looks pretty useful. They are dropping now. Mirim Lee moves within

:41:44. > :41:46.two of Jutanugarn. It is always nice you don't drop too many shots and

:41:47. > :41:55.then you start feeling more comfortable. Ha-Na Jang. Sneaks in

:41:56. > :42:05.on the right side. Doesn't matter. Smile is never too far away with

:42:06. > :42:12.Jang. A look at this par-5. Catriona Matthew is playing it as a full

:42:13. > :42:21.three shot. Jutanugarn, even though she is in the rough, she can get

:42:22. > :42:29.there. 247 yards. The ball looks as if it has been teed up for her.

:42:30. > :42:35.Couldn't be in a better lie. She is looking to aim it in a gap which is

:42:36. > :42:45.80 yards wide. If you go left, it goes into the bunker and if you go

:42:46. > :42:55.right, it is in the hollow. Clanked it. It is in there somewhere.

:42:56. > :43:06.Decisions to be taken, rules officials will be called. It is a

:43:07. > :43:13.great position coming in. Look at how strong she is. She stays down so

:43:14. > :43:19.well on the ball. Comes over a little bit too quick with her hands.

:43:20. > :43:31.But it is really, really beautiful and effective golf swing. A lot of

:43:32. > :43:33.power coming through. Go back to Mirim Lee, see if she can find the

:43:34. > :43:49.right line here. Trying to sneak it a little bit on

:43:50. > :44:01.the left side. Trying to gain a few yards. Leaves it a little bit out to

:44:02. > :44:08.the right. Bit of cut spent on that one and it dug its heels in when it

:44:09. > :44:18.landed. Matthew, third. Lovely light, good angle. -- lovely lie.

:44:19. > :44:28.That's one just dug in as well. But a chance of four. It is a nice putt,

:44:29. > :44:37.I bit uphill. Going to make a good run at it.

:44:38. > :44:45.That is the state of affairs. Jutanugarn, really hasn't put a foot

:44:46. > :44:54.wrong. Five birdies, no drop shots. Two clear. Wonderful scoring from

:44:55. > :45:11.most concerned. Leona Maguire is in a very strong position. Nicole Broch

:45:12. > :45:17.Larsen with a round of 70. Good ground from Jodie you it. -- good

:45:18. > :45:30.round from Jodie Ewart. Someone has e-mailed in to ask what

:45:31. > :45:36.brass rubbing is. They must be young. Used to go into churches and

:45:37. > :45:40.put a bit of paper down over something ornate and rub away. It

:45:41. > :45:50.was all the rage in the day. The times we used to have! The winter

:45:51. > :46:02.hours flew by. Back to the 12th green, thankfully.

:46:03. > :46:28.Thank God, Stacey has a nice run. She found the Cup.

:46:29. > :46:40.Helen is leaving. Thank you very much, Helen. Back to Jutanugarn. The

:46:41. > :46:46.sign has been moved. Maureen is back in and Peter Alice is back here and

:46:47. > :46:51.Ken Brown is out watching this one. If she gets clever and gets it

:46:52. > :46:55.wrong, she could run up half a dozen. She has got to play the

:46:56. > :47:06.percentages. About five yards to land the ball on. Be sensible. Play

:47:07. > :47:10.five, Ken? Don't be too greedy. Is it up, is it up? It is. Very well

:47:11. > :47:46.played. Little bit of a breeze getting up.

:47:47. > :47:52.Bronte, struggling on with borrowed clubs. She said she was really

:47:53. > :47:57.missing her own putter. Hasn't been a good day for her. I thought she

:47:58. > :48:01.might decide to keep that set, but maybe she will change her mind.

:48:02. > :48:06.Charley Hull. Hasn't really recovered from the seven at the very

:48:07. > :48:14.opening hole. Rocked her back on her feet. Hasn't really had much going

:48:15. > :48:19.since then. Are we going to see a sterling finish? That could have

:48:20. > :48:23.done with skipping forward a bit. But play today generally, has been

:48:24. > :48:36.very constructive, very good. Enjoyable to watch. Can Matthew

:48:37. > :48:45.Craft another birdie out of this hole. Good lay-up. Reasonable pitch.

:48:46. > :48:49.She has putted so well this weekend. Made more than her fair share

:48:50. > :49:00.yesterday. At this juncture, she just wants to hang on and keep

:49:01. > :49:10.Jutanugarn within her sights. Don't let her get too far ahead. Just

:49:11. > :49:21.strolling around like one of those great big giraffes. I wouldn't have

:49:22. > :49:27.picked that particular animal to fit in with this young lady. Good

:49:28. > :49:34.player, Ken. I have never seen her play before. She is absolutely

:49:35. > :49:45.fantastic. She is, as they say, in the moment. Focused. Have you ever

:49:46. > :49:50.had any moments, Ken? Plenty. You just get the feeling she thinks, I

:49:51. > :49:56.am going to hole this. It is not an easy one, it is down the slope. Is

:49:57. > :50:02.it a bit from the right, where is it from, this one? I didn't get close

:50:03. > :50:13.to it, it was a bit of a hostel to get there. Speed is all-important.

:50:14. > :50:23.-- hustle. Yes, I thought it was. Just a couple of pars. Just a couple

:50:24. > :50:35.of pars. What a good-looking card. Five birdies. Beautiful golf. Up to

:50:36. > :50:44.the 12th in this most attractive water hole. Nasty flag position

:50:45. > :50:57.today. Stuffed in on the right-hand side. Very close to the water. Very

:50:58. > :51:08.tempting. Charley Hull. For a birdie at the 13th. Can she end up with a

:51:09. > :51:15.run of birdies up to the clubhouse? Come along, come along. No. That one

:51:16. > :51:27.scene to gain pace when it got to the hole. -- seemed. Mo Martin is

:51:28. > :51:35.normally dynamite with her wedges. I doubt she will be going straight at

:51:36. > :51:47.this one. Aiming a little left. Very dangerous flag position today. Got

:51:48. > :51:50.it to stop. You putt them too hard, you end up in the water with the

:51:51. > :52:03.trout. Peter, when you make that hole, was

:52:04. > :52:08.the water piped in, was there any natural source close by? The

:52:09. > :52:15.Marquess of Tavistock had passed away and he was, the family were

:52:16. > :52:21.very anxious over the water, if we could create some water feature. It

:52:22. > :52:26.has worked out very well. I was a bit dubious, but the flow of water

:52:27. > :52:34.remains constant. It is a very pretty corner. Quite a bit of

:52:35. > :52:39.waterfowl come and visit. There is the smile, part of the pre-shot

:52:40. > :52:46.routine. She walks in. The plan is to get this one to finish between

:52:47. > :52:54.220 and 240 yards out. The fairway is pretty soft. It shouldn't run out

:52:55. > :53:01.too much. Just plop it down onto the island fairway. She has missed it.

:53:02. > :53:06.That's not a good spot to be. Not with the front pin. That will

:53:07. > :53:18.frighten you a bit. This will be a safety shot coming up. It should be.

:53:19. > :53:26.Has it got a bit cooler, Ken? When the sun goes in, but it is still

:53:27. > :53:32.pleasant with a lovely gallery out watching. Catriona Matthew, she has

:53:33. > :53:43.got a little rescue 5-wood. Whatever you want to call them. Blistered up

:53:44. > :53:46.the left side. Over the water... She cut that away to the right. Neither

:53:47. > :54:13.in the best position. Back to 11. Flag only ten arm.

:54:14. > :54:27.Narrow section of the green, as you can see. Very good. It flew in there

:54:28. > :54:39.like an Exocet missile. Back to the 12th. This is the putt Ken had when

:54:40. > :54:44.we were out this morning. He has that magic touch. Just run it down

:54:45. > :54:51.to about 40 inches from the hole. She did the same, just a whisker

:54:52. > :55:01.short. Dangerous side to putt at, going down the hill.

:55:02. > :55:09.This is one of my favourite hole some the golf course. It ranked the

:55:10. > :55:15.second hardest over the first couple of days. Right to left dog left. But

:55:16. > :55:26.she has sneaked her drive past the trees. So she is in the clear.

:55:27. > :55:31.Little bit of inconsistency of bounds on the course at the moment.

:55:32. > :55:37.We have seen some hard bounces and we have seen some dig their toes in?

:55:38. > :55:47.A couple of areas hold more moisture. Birdie putt here, 12. Same

:55:48. > :55:58.line as her partner for the day. That wiggled away, didn't it?

:55:59. > :56:14.Although it's not a long hole, it is one you can easily drop a shot at.

:56:15. > :56:27.Not the easiest position to be coming in from two that flag. I am

:56:28. > :56:28.sure Ken will advise them, if he could, to the left. Playing for a

:56:29. > :56:46.fourth. They've both got their slight

:56:47. > :56:52.difficulties. Matthew has got one of those hard, strands of grass behind

:56:53. > :56:57.the ball. You have two trap it between the clubs face and the ball,

:56:58. > :57:04.which will eliminate any backswing. She has to play a little bit left of

:57:05. > :57:17.the flag. A bit deeper, otherwise it will run out. This is a very tricky

:57:18. > :57:21.shot. 79 yards, bit of a breeze which doesn't help you stop the

:57:22. > :57:32.ball. Ball above the feet. My goodness. Aim it at the Ricoh 12. I

:57:33. > :57:39.think she has, hasn't she, Ken? Straight at it. She managed to hold

:57:40. > :57:47.the green. Well done. That was about as good as you could do without

:57:48. > :58:00.taking a ridiculous risk. Nicely struck. Write down on the ball,

:58:01. > :58:04.Sharp. Similar shot coming up. Jutanugarn's ball has settled on the

:58:05. > :58:10.edge of a little divots. Like hell are shot, she doesn't want to be

:58:11. > :58:22.greedy. She is in command of the tournament. Play the percentage.

:58:23. > :58:31.Well, they have done it very well, very sensibly.

:58:32. > :58:39.Plenty of loft on this. Landed fairly softly. Which is what you

:58:40. > :58:42.wanted, first thing is to get over the water and make sure you didn't

:58:43. > :58:52.go whizzing through the green. Great birdie opportunity on 11 for

:58:53. > :59:29.Mirim Lee. Just brimming of the right-hand

:59:30. > :59:33.edge. Very disappointing. A number of birdie opportunities out here,

:59:34. > :59:36.but you can't let too many of them going begging or you will find

:59:37. > :59:48.yourself going a little bit adrift from the top of the board. Turned

:59:49. > :00:00.professional in 2010 and played for four years on the Korean LPGA. Five

:00:01. > :00:05.women within six shots of Ariya Jutanugarn's lead. You are properly

:00:06. > :00:13.see the name of Maria Jutanugarn, which is her sister by 18 months.

:00:14. > :00:24.Not challenging her sister for the lead as yet. There is older sister,

:00:25. > :00:29.Maria in the chasing pack at 3-under par. But they are a long way back

:00:30. > :00:36.from this 20-year-old from Bangkok, who became the first Thailand

:00:37. > :00:40.winner. Not only did she win one in Alabama, she followed it up with

:00:41. > :00:44.back-to-back and back-to-back wins with Virginia and Mitch Egan as

:00:45. > :00:51.well. The season is belonging to her so far.

:00:52. > :01:32.Eased away a little bit and she's found the same spot as the other

:01:33. > :01:49.two. Bronte Law. Coming up short right

:01:50. > :02:01.with her approach on 18. All depends on how it's lying. Very well done.

:02:02. > :02:07.Very deep bunker, that front right, at the 18th. Five or six feet deep.

:02:08. > :02:18.Birdseye view of the 12th. Lots of debate on the line. You did

:02:19. > :02:29.it this morning. You had a cursory look and stroked it down.

:02:30. > :02:41.Turns a little from right-to-left but not much.

:02:42. > :02:50.The timing is so good I think. Look at that, just swung across. Both of

:02:51. > :03:05.them have little putts left. Stacy Lewis bringing all her

:03:06. > :03:09.concentration to bear on this par-saver, but it's not enough. It

:03:10. > :03:20.was not a good effort by her standards. Dropped shot. Back to

:03:21. > :03:32.8-under. Got her grumpy look on again. Now Catriona, my lovely, this

:03:33. > :03:39.is a testy one. You've putted beautifully, but, can she do another

:03:40. > :03:49.one? ! This is one of these that's just inside the right edge but you

:03:50. > :03:56.need to trust your stroke. Beautifully done. It looks so

:03:57. > :03:59.simple. Only about four-and-a-half feet away. Very slick greens. Body

:04:00. > :04:18.still. Lovely touch. Bronte Law. Can she finish with one

:04:19. > :04:22.good par-saving effort. She can? That's her 76th for the young

:04:23. > :04:26.English woman. She won't be happy, she's very hard on herself indeed,

:04:27. > :04:43.but she's putting up a fine performance in this Championship.

:04:44. > :05:10.Straight up the hill she goes. On we go.

:05:11. > :05:13.15 is a lovely, snaking winding par-5, safely negotiated to this

:05:14. > :05:46.point by Lexi. Bit off the right. Lee and Feng at the 12th. Both gone

:05:47. > :06:04.right off the tee. We have seen this shot before, haven't we? Take a bit

:06:05. > :06:11.of a risk. Oh, she's had a touch of luck. Wonderful result. I think her

:06:12. > :06:18.heart must have been slightly in her mouth there. Absolutely. Coming in

:06:19. > :06:33.from that angle of the green is so shallow.

:06:34. > :06:42.Still miling up, but nobody's sort of stepping out in a big lead.

:06:43. > :06:45.Tomorrow, if they stay like this, could be desperately important and

:06:46. > :06:53.every shot could be important tomorrow. We saw Charley Hull start

:06:54. > :06:55.with confidence, somebody else steps in, gets three and things can change

:06:56. > :07:25.very, very, very quickly. Birdies very awkward pin position.

:07:26. > :07:31.Right-to-left. I don't think I've ever seen a woman do that. She gives

:07:32. > :07:37.it such a crack. She gets ample distance with an iron. There it is,

:07:38. > :07:45.255, probably 270 yards. Yes, beautiful. Position A right in the

:07:46. > :07:48.middle of the fairway. Sometimes people say a short course doesn't

:07:49. > :07:52.suit a long hitter but a course like this you can shoot so many irons.

:07:53. > :07:56.All the others have to hit woods. You can be very accurate as you have

:07:57. > :08:02.to be very powerful. Remember the way Tiger Woods plotted his way

:08:03. > :08:22.around Hoylake? That was a masterly display. Now Catriona.

:08:23. > :08:29.Support for Matthew and great crowds here all week here at Woburn,

:08:30. > :08:34.families and boys and girls here to watch and indeed to walk around this

:08:35. > :08:44.wonderful course. Quite a few girls helping out here as well. Tom

:08:45. > :08:49.Williams has met some of them. These 16-year-olds don't even play

:08:50. > :08:55.the game. Morning, girls. ALL: Morning. This is your carry

:08:56. > :08:59.board... 23 volunteers from year-11 at nearby Thornton College just

:09:00. > :09:03.outside Milton Keynes have this week put their summer holidays on hold to

:09:04. > :09:07.work as school board carriers. They are quite heavy so you can slot them

:09:08. > :09:13.into your Lang yard... Why are you doing this? Hopefully to grow the

:09:14. > :09:16.game of golf. It's really in need of a boost, particularly as far as

:09:17. > :09:19.juniors are concerned so I'm hoping they might be inspired getting up

:09:20. > :09:28.close and personal to the professionals. What an honour, today

:09:29. > :09:41.an twang net is carrying the board for Charley Hull andied ya Ko. --

:09:42. > :09:47.anal into e. With the -- Antoinette. Has watching Charley Hull meant you

:09:48. > :09:50.want to take up the game? Yes, I liked the clothes she was wearing,

:09:51. > :09:56.they are different to the ones I expected. I expected the players to

:09:57. > :10:01.be old but they are not, they are quite sporty and young. Is enough

:10:02. > :10:06.being done to boost participation, particularly amongst young women? I

:10:07. > :10:10.don't think so, no. By engaging with schools, that is a real opportunity,

:10:11. > :10:14.and we are talking to Woburn golf club at the minute about linking up

:10:15. > :10:20.with us and offering lessons to our pupils.

:10:21. > :10:25.I'm one of the young players, I feel like I am a major role model so it's

:10:26. > :10:29.good. I don't really think about that too much because I just want to

:10:30. > :10:32.play, but it's part of being a professional golfer to get people

:10:33. > :10:37.into the game. If I didn't look up to people I wouldn't be into the

:10:38. > :10:44.game. Was it exciting being in amongst it all? Yes, because Charley

:10:45. > :10:48.was playing well, getting lots of birdies which I learnt all about

:10:49. > :10:53.today. After watching how it's done, time to give it a crack. Only 12% of

:10:54. > :10:59.golfers in the UK are women. Fancy giving golf a go? Yes. Why? It's

:11:00. > :11:03.really calming and I suit it and it relaxes me. It's perceived to be

:11:04. > :11:06.more of a man's sport so I would love to show that women can do

:11:07. > :11:12.something like that. You are going to go back and knock the peg over...

:11:13. > :11:22.Impressed! I'm sure it has inspired Antoinette

:11:23. > :11:31.and her colleagues from the college. If you would like to have a go, go

:11:32. > :11:38.to the website. Maureen, do you like that idea? It was wonderful. It's

:11:39. > :11:49.important to get them in there and think that the game's cool.

:11:50. > :12:00.One of those young ladies said she liked the fashions and they were

:12:01. > :12:05.saucy. I thought it was sporty. Jay saucy and sporty is good. Bit of

:12:06. > :12:08.character. Very different from 100 years ago. Old thick bullet proof

:12:09. > :12:13.tweeds. Jang for a par. Working hard at the

:12:14. > :12:34.13th. Good effort. That's how they just

:12:35. > :12:43.slip away. Don't want to be more than about four behind if you can

:12:44. > :12:55.help it. Plus the way our leader is playing, I don't think she's going

:12:56. > :13:01.to make many stupid mistakes. Martin trying to edge up the leaderboard.

:13:02. > :13:06.Oh, not quite. Not guy. Quite. She's played very well this year. Missed

:13:07. > :13:15.one cut out of 18 tournaments in America.

:13:16. > :13:22.Stacy is out in 38 and she's down 3-over.

:13:23. > :13:32.A very busy bunker at the par-314th. Watched a lot of players there in

:13:33. > :13:43.practise and it seems to just be, you know, tease them. Our leader.

:13:44. > :13:56.She always looks sodisgusted. Probably 18 feet away. Not as

:13:57. > :14:06.disgraceful as she might have thought.

:14:07. > :14:19.Set up for a high draw from Matthew. That was just missed the checking on

:14:20. > :14:23.the bank of the green that would have eased it to the flag. A lot of

:14:24. > :14:27.these professional players started the game Ben they were eight, nine,

:14:28. > :14:35.ten years of age. They have been playing a long time, even the very

:14:36. > :14:41.young ones. Karrie Webb won this event 20 years ago on her first

:14:42. > :14:50.visit from native Australia. She can rattle them in. 9-under and not too

:14:51. > :15:05.far away. Back to Lee. Four birdies in her last holes.

:15:06. > :15:28.Things like that can change the score.

:15:29. > :15:33.Dropped one at the last. Very uncharacteristic. Walking away to

:15:34. > :15:42.regroup because the next needs a little care and attention. Lexi

:15:43. > :16:02.Thompson. How is she going to play this one? She's 8-under.

:16:03. > :16:07.Helen was in here a few moments ago. She did a bit of that in her day.

:16:08. > :16:37.Very entertaining to watch. Great fun.

:16:38. > :16:46.Quite a few '70s there. So how far bag is too far back with one round

:16:47. > :17:08.to go? Five or six, seven. You never really know. Drama toward

:17:09. > :17:14.the end. I don't think it will be a run away four, five shot victory,

:17:15. > :17:21.but things can happen. I think on the whole, the scoring has been

:17:22. > :17:25.excellent due to the conditions. John Clarke and his team have the

:17:26. > :17:32.courses here in immaculate condition. It hasn't been the best

:17:33. > :17:54.earliest spring. Done a magnificent job. A little from the left and

:17:55. > :17:58.downhill. They have been going round and round circling for something

:17:59. > :18:17.that's not there. Maureen was saying earlier sometimes they read too much

:18:18. > :18:18.into it. Don't conFaw the brain. That's the first loose shot she's

:18:19. > :19:11.hit. Very rare. Centre of the green is always a good

:19:12. > :19:24.result on this par-3. The green should feed that round a bit towards

:19:25. > :19:40.the flag. A wonderful golf shot. Thompson is one of the new bright

:19:41. > :19:46.girls, only early 20s. Birdie. 9-under.

:19:47. > :19:55.Seven wins already to her name despite her youth. Lexi? Yes.

:19:56. > :20:11.Uphill little slower than you think. A bit of movement from the right.

:20:12. > :20:27.You do well to have a little smile! That was a great save. It's been a

:20:28. > :20:37.tremendous pairing to follow. Neither player has dropped a shot.

:20:38. > :20:42.Just when Catriona Matthew had a little bit of hope that she might

:20:43. > :20:55.get one back or have one given back to her, the door is shut on that

:20:56. > :20:59.thought now. Byter, did you like being a front runner in tournaments

:21:00. > :21:04.-- Peter? Or were you good at coming from the pack? I didn't really mind.

:21:05. > :21:09.Sounds a bit arrogant, I suppose, but I never lost a tournament I

:21:10. > :21:16.should have won, you know. I've watched lots of people maybe making

:21:17. > :21:21.three or four pars. I've never threw a tournament away.

:21:22. > :21:28.I got 21 in 15 years. I always tried to enjoy it and when I used to get a

:21:29. > :21:35.little nervous, I used to slip into my brain the picture of one of my

:21:36. > :21:41.favourite holes, whether it be Parkstone or Ferndown, I could

:21:42. > :21:47.visualise myself hitting down there and it gave me a bit of freedom.

:21:48. > :21:54.There's so much about golf, once it's in your brain, you think about

:21:55. > :22:04.it. That private video library of shots is great when you need it.

:22:05. > :22:06.Yes. Just off the fairway. Quite a good distance to the green. Fairly

:22:07. > :22:27.straightforward. Almost a little bit of a false front

:22:28. > :22:29.there. A very checking slope. Took the sting out of the shot but it's

:22:30. > :22:37.not bad. It's all right. Can't be enough, surely. Gosh. Did

:22:38. > :23:03.it best. Why would you want to mark that from

:23:04. > :23:13.there? She's six inches away. You're not going to... . I don't know.

:23:14. > :23:24.Anything to waste time. It's all programmed in there, waste time.

:23:25. > :23:32.17. This is a ferociously difficult flag position on the ledge on the

:23:33. > :23:37.right hand side. She's told us what she thinks of that, yes. That's a

:23:38. > :23:41.huge slope to come up there. That's going to be a very testing putt.

:23:42. > :23:50.For such a short club, she must be very displeased with how she struck

:23:51. > :23:57.that. Looking through the valley up to the 14th. Does remind me of that

:23:58. > :24:05.short hole, the first short hole at Augusta which is the fourth hole.

:24:06. > :24:28.It's down the valley up to a green. Quite long.

:24:29. > :25:13.Could end up quite good. Her misses are good, Peter.

:25:14. > :25:17.Peter and I wouldn't look at the course. Some tough pins on this

:25:18. > :25:21.closing stretch. There certainly are. You have to plot your way

:25:22. > :25:39.around. She's got a fine line. Got to be a

:25:40. > :25:45.good crisp one. Our TV tower, eight yards left of the flag on your line,

:25:46. > :26:03.the deep green slope goes on. There is an open-mouth bunker there.

:26:04. > :26:09.That's high. Just tailed off to the right a bit and, from then on, was

:26:10. > :26:25.struggling. Catriona making one of her few

:26:26. > :26:28.errors in this round. Interesting to see Jutanugarn and Lee, two players

:26:29. > :26:32.who've shown frailty towards the crunch time in a major in the past,

:26:33. > :26:38.but you've got proven winners in there, Matthew, Martin, Thompson,

:26:39. > :26:41.Webb, Lewis as well. That name of Leona Maguire as the leading amateur

:26:42. > :26:47.right now in a tie for eighth. Great playing from her. Fair warning for

:26:48. > :26:54.you. Lots of women's sport on BBC television today. Our coverage of

:26:55. > :26:57.Ride London's Classic from 6 o'clock on this channel means we are going

:26:58. > :27:03.to be slipping over on to the red button at 6 for the last half hour.

:27:04. > :27:07.You will be able to see it on your connected devices via the BBC

:27:08. > :27:11.website. Feel free to stay with us for the final part of our coverage

:27:12. > :27:16.but from 6 it will be on the red button or on the BBC Sport website.

:27:17. > :27:18.That said, plenty to enjoy in the next 33 minutes or so here on BBC

:27:19. > :27:36.Two. Tall figure of American Lexi

:27:37. > :27:45.Thompson with dad tending the flag. Good long range putt there.

:27:46. > :28:07.Mirim Lee and a chance to join Ariya Jutanugarn.

:28:08. > :28:15.One of Catriona Matthews' rare errors over the last three days.

:28:16. > :28:32.She's going to land it on a downslope. Going to flip it very

:28:33. > :28:39.quickly. Beautifully played. That becomes a big putt as well. It was

:28:40. > :28:52.lying nicely. Had to hit it hard to get it up sharply. Beautifully

:28:53. > :28:56.played. The round's just stalled a bit. A big par putt coming up for

:28:57. > :29:03.Catriona Matthew, just to maintain her position. Three behind her

:29:04. > :29:08.playing partner at the moment. Suddenly players grind to a halt and

:29:09. > :29:12.everybody is looking around. Just loses your rhythm of the round when

:29:13. > :29:18.everything is going so nicely. They can dawdle around. Just wasting time

:29:19. > :29:24.because they know they are going to be hold up in the next -- held up in

:29:25. > :29:32.the next while. That could have been very tricky.

:29:33. > :29:35.It's trickled down and it's not a bad putt now. From the left, down

:29:36. > :29:53.the slope, 30 feet. This could take a while. Everyone is

:29:54. > :30:04.milling around with no great purpose at the moment. Nowhere to go after

:30:05. > :30:10.this, so just take your time. Jutanugarn just about ready to go

:30:11. > :30:15.now. Come out of her homing pattern. -- holding pattern. The interesting

:30:16. > :30:20.thing is, these closing pins should suit her. At the front you can spin

:30:21. > :30:24.it a bit more than most. If anyone can get at them, she possibly can.

:30:25. > :30:26.To do it you have to take a risk. This would be a bonus after the tee

:30:27. > :30:39.shot. Fantastic putting by Jutanugarn.

:30:40. > :30:45.When she looks back at this round she will look back at the putts on

:30:46. > :30:53.the last two greens and it may start to give her a little bit of real

:30:54. > :31:03.clear water. Six birdies, no drop shots today. Mirim Lee, to stay

:31:04. > :31:07.within two. In it goes. They are just stretching out a little bit at

:31:08. > :31:13.the top of the leaderboard now. Couple of shots between first and

:31:14. > :31:27.second and third and fourth. Vig putt for Matthew. Must make.

:31:28. > :31:32.Tentative, lost the rhythm. Bit of a stutter. She is nothing if she is

:31:33. > :31:39.not patient, but she will be a few shots behind Jutanugarn. Something

:31:40. > :32:02.left here as well. It is her first bogey. I will check.

:32:03. > :32:09.First bogey in some time, he said vaguely. Didn't have a bogey

:32:10. > :32:13.yesterday. First bogey since? I will come back to that one, chat amongst

:32:14. > :32:29.yourselves. First bogey since the first day. Carrie Webb. Over reading

:32:30. > :32:35.that. Seven Majors to her name. 41 wins in the LPGA in 20 years. A

:32:36. > :32:40.stellar career and one of these younger players would like to

:32:41. > :32:53.emulate. Let's see what Mirim Lee can do with this par-3. Cross the

:32:54. > :33:15.valley its sales. Pretty useful again. Very good club.

:33:16. > :33:27.So much of it is the management of the mind. Shanshan Feng, only one

:33:28. > :33:33.birdie today. Three dropped shots. Almost missed her tee off time on

:33:34. > :33:40.Thursday. Arrived with seconds to spare. And the same as Matthew... It

:33:41. > :33:44.is a long carry on that line if you are attacking the pin straight on.

:33:45. > :33:48.You have to feel the players have pushed it a bit because the centre

:33:49. > :33:56.of the green is the percentage play. It is going to be one of those days

:33:57. > :34:00.the Shanshan Feng. Off to Mo Martin. Longest hole on the course. Most

:34:01. > :34:02.players managed to get the wood down there and then click on. But Mo

:34:03. > :34:28.Martin still has some way to go. Go a tiny bit. And it did. Lovely

:34:29. > :34:38.shot. Seen some lovely swinging and great strikes from Mo Martin. She is

:34:39. > :34:52.very close. Back on the tee. Just an iron again for Jutanugarn. Just a

:34:53. > :34:59.blur. Gone 250 yards. Perfect spot. I think if she got two good three

:35:00. > :35:08.words, she would have managed to reached this. Reasonably generous

:35:09. > :35:22.fairway, this one. It is all about threading it through the

:35:23. > :35:24.bunkers for your tee shot and then threading it through even more

:35:25. > :35:50.bunkers for your second. Charley Hull has reached the 17th.

:35:51. > :36:00.Pin on the right-hand side. Just about there. One of the best shots

:36:01. > :36:10.we have seen there today. Such a narrow ledge up there. Lexi Thompson

:36:11. > :36:15.going well down the grip here to cope with this. Has to be careful

:36:16. > :36:31.she doesn't smother it. Her feet slipped a bit. Could have been

:36:32. > :36:35.worse. Overcautious shouts of fore. Health and safety gone mad. Would

:36:36. > :36:46.rather hear that than no shot. Mo Martin. Beautiful shot into this

:36:47. > :36:52.par-5. In she goes. Two birdies in the last five and now alongside

:36:53. > :37:01.Catriona Matthew. Those in third place are currently five shots

:37:02. > :37:06.adrift of Jutanugarn. Suddenly, from being very bunched for a long time,

:37:07. > :37:27.just being stretched out at the top of the field.

:37:28. > :37:33.Now, Mirim Lee, getting more accustomed to the low scoring she is

:37:34. > :37:38.beginning to produce in major Championships. Feeling much more at

:37:39. > :37:47.home up there in the rarefied atmosphere she is in now. This will

:37:48. > :37:50.have quite a swing of the left-hand side. The entire green tilts from

:37:51. > :38:17.left to right as you play the hole. Tracking well. No! Beautiful putt,

:38:18. > :38:32.however. So, her last nine holes have read three, three, four, very

:38:33. > :38:39.good scoring indeed. Karrie Webb, second to the 16th. Sneaking up

:38:40. > :38:49.there today. Three birdies, no drop shots. Karrie Webb... It just about

:38:50. > :39:06.does. After her wide on 18, plenty of

:39:07. > :39:09.green to work with for Lexi Thompson. Just got to get over the

:39:10. > :39:38.ridge. Get a scooter on. -- scoot. Very straight hole. Long par-5 15th.

:39:39. > :39:46.Jutanugarn, with the iron off the tee. Can you see the tree trunk

:39:47. > :39:55.where it splits on the left edge of the green. Caddy giving the

:39:56. > :40:06.instructions. It is a very tricky shot, so she will be keen to get 75

:40:07. > :40:17.yards within the putting surface to give her chance to spin the ball in.

:40:18. > :40:22.This is miles back. My goodness. Left flat lie. Catriona Matthew 's

:40:23. > :40:27.has already played down there. She finished in the right trap, awkward

:40:28. > :40:41.spot. Catriona Matthew just looking a bit ragged. Jutanugarn, steady

:40:42. > :40:48.enough. But way back in that par-5. Beauty, says the Caddy and beauty it

:40:49. > :40:50.is. No club selection issues for Mo Martin. She is hitting her driver in

:40:51. > :41:37.most of these holes. Now, this is a similar line to the

:41:38. > :41:50.one we saw bronze the law hole for her for a few minutes ago. It is a

:41:51. > :42:03.bit longer. He/she will be keen to see this home. This will give her a

:42:04. > :42:08.68 today. No drop shots so far. She has been a little bit tentative with

:42:09. > :42:16.some of them. Needs to get this one running at the whole. Unlucky. The

:42:17. > :42:20.damage was done of the tee shot. She gave herself such an awkward lie, it

:42:21. > :42:28.was odds-on she was going to pull it well left. Disappointing bogey five

:42:29. > :42:31.to finish on for Thomson. But it is a 69, solid play. 8-under.

:42:32. > :42:53.Currently, that is eight behind. About a yard from the front of the

:42:54. > :42:59.bunker. Can't see the flag. She is wondering should she take a chance.

:43:00. > :43:09.So easy to catch it a little heavy. It'll have to be so doable. Heavy.

:43:10. > :43:16.It is going to require an up-and-down from their to save par

:43:17. > :43:18.for Katrina Matthew. Staring at back-to-back bogeys here. --

:43:19. > :43:35.Catriona Matthew. Mirim Lee, smashing it away on this

:43:36. > :43:43.par-5. Landing on the upslope. Barely any run. Now, she left

:43:44. > :43:53.herself a long way back, what has she got? 118. Hard and high and this

:43:54. > :43:58.will have some check on it. The last few shots she has hit, she hasn't

:43:59. > :44:11.looked overly pleased with herself. But as we were saying earlier, her

:44:12. > :44:21.misses, are pretty good. Not putting herself too much in bother. Karrie

:44:22. > :44:25.Webb has just run it past. For a lot of players, the birdies just seemed

:44:26. > :44:35.to have dried up. Hanging on, coming home.

:44:36. > :44:51.Karrie Webb keeps the blemish of her scorecard.

:44:52. > :45:02.Just churches out even more. The top six places separated by eight shots.

:45:03. > :45:04.-- stretches out. Little bit more bunched behind. What a great round,

:45:05. > :45:47.68 from Leona Maguire. Matthew, fourth shot. Desperately

:45:48. > :45:53.needs to get down in a couple from here and she has played a good one.

:45:54. > :46:04.Mistake at the last hole, mistake here. Little bit of a struggle. She

:46:05. > :46:09.doesn't want to drop too far behind. It has been very impressive watching

:46:10. > :46:14.our leader. Two or three of the women at the top of the leaderboard,

:46:15. > :46:24.they are playing very, very solid golf today. Beautiful evening now,

:46:25. > :46:30.early evening, late afternoon. The 15th hole, the longest, it is

:46:31. > :46:36.playing the second easiest, averaging 4.70 five. Costly for

:46:37. > :46:44.Matthew. Jutanugarn, outside chance of a birdie. But now back to

:46:45. > :46:49.Charley. 18th, second shot. Not a good day. Three shots gone on the

:46:50. > :47:00.opening hole. She wasn't able to recover. Mo

:47:01. > :47:10.Martin, second into the 16th. She does often play the course from a

:47:11. > :47:19.long way back. She can be deadly accurate. Be good. Another one, what

:47:20. > :47:25.a shot from Mo Martin. She has provided a couple of lasers around

:47:26. > :47:29.today. That one just hopped on a little bit, but when she is playing

:47:30. > :47:38.from so far back, you have to be impressed. There is the leaderboard.

:47:39. > :47:45.Jutanugarn, out in front. Three back to Mo Martin. Karrie Webb coming

:47:46. > :47:49.towards the end of her round. Lexi Thompson heading towards the

:47:50. > :47:53.clubhouse after that 69. Before she gets there, we will hear from her

:47:54. > :47:57.witch hazel. It was the blemish at the end, which

:47:58. > :48:02.I'm sure you are kicking yourself about, but the difficult lie with

:48:03. > :48:10.the shot over the green? Yes, I only missed my 3-wood by two yards. Half

:48:11. > :48:15.in the bunker and half not. I hit a good shot from there, just came out

:48:16. > :48:19.a bit more left. I had a great day out there. You made some real

:48:20. > :48:23.progress, what do you feel about the scoring now and the way Ariya

:48:24. > :48:28.Jutanugarn is playing, and what will it take tomorrow to catch her? A

:48:29. > :48:35.very low round. She is going very low today. I will focus on game,

:48:36. > :48:40.that's all I can control. You are not seeing the way she is playing,

:48:41. > :48:45.are you surprised given everything she has done this season, to see her

:48:46. > :48:50.name at the top? I am not surprised at all, she is an amazing player.

:48:51. > :48:54.She hits it very long and doesn't even hit driver. She is a very

:48:55. > :49:01.strong player. Fearless. You are in the thick of it too, Lexi, play well

:49:02. > :49:07.tomorrow. Thank you. Tomorrow promises to be a very good day. The

:49:08. > :49:17.weather forecast is good. It is nice to look forward to a happy day. :-)

:49:18. > :49:28.'s and a worthy winner. -- Smiley faces. Quiet putting routine of

:49:29. > :49:32.Jutanugarn's. The greens seem to be slowing up a bit. Unless I am

:49:33. > :49:40.imagining things. We have seen a lot of putts come up shy. Good line,

:49:41. > :49:50.just finishing pace and coming up six to eight inches short. Matthew,

:49:51. > :50:03.for par. She really does need this one.

:50:04. > :50:22.Cool customer. Conscience, conscious, competence.

:50:23. > :50:34.Good strike. It just trickled away. Another one gone. Two shot strop at

:50:35. > :50:41.a crucial moment. -- dropped. Needs a good finish. Certainly one,

:50:42. > :50:56.hopefully two to get her somewhere near the top. Jutanugarn's rivals

:50:57. > :51:01.need special in the holes remaining to them, otherwise there will be

:51:02. > :51:11.nothing but her heels to look tomorrow. Charley Hull, on the final

:51:12. > :51:22.green. This is quick with a bit of right to left in it. Down it goes.

:51:23. > :51:26.Go, go, go. Groans all round. It started not too far away with the

:51:27. > :51:31.ugly seven on the first some time ago. Couple of birdies, couple of

:51:32. > :51:42.bogeys and she is just going to wait to tap in. Mo Martin, after a

:51:43. > :51:57.beautiful shot into this green. Putt for a birdie. Just a bit too wide.

:51:58. > :52:00.Save par. Jutanugarn, draws admiring gasps and chuckles. 3-wood. It has

:52:01. > :52:19.gone a country mile. Mirim Lee, trying to attack this

:52:20. > :52:24.flag on the par-5. Think she has pulled it a little bit, turned it

:52:25. > :52:36.over and that gives it a little bit more length. The flag, not very far

:52:37. > :52:43.over that bunker. Matthew, got to settle over these closing three

:52:44. > :52:51.holes. Every hole is a possible birdie. They are not too long. Just

:52:52. > :53:03.makes it that little bit more difficult. Flag at 16 on the

:53:04. > :53:07.right-hand side. That might give Matthew a decent angle as we go

:53:08. > :53:18.quickly up to 18 to see Charley Hull finish off. It is a disappointing 75

:53:19. > :53:24.for the home player. As Peter said, never quite recovered from the

:53:25. > :53:37.opening seven. But she will take a lot of support with her tomorrow.

:53:38. > :53:43.Stacy Lewis. Birdie at the 17th. She's... Done it. Well done. A few

:53:44. > :53:50.near misses round about the turn. But that is good, she's got it back

:53:51. > :54:03.to 9-under. 13 and 14, she dropped a couple of shots.

:54:04. > :54:10.At the moment you feel the players are jockeying for position, just

:54:11. > :54:21.trying to stay close to two Janke Anya Garnis -- Jutanugarn. Just in

:54:22. > :54:30.case she stumbles. Have been impressed with Mirim Lee. It is the

:54:31. > :54:36.first time I have seen her play. She said sometimes her clubface gets a

:54:37. > :54:52.little shot in the takeaway. That is what is keeping her going.

:54:53. > :55:06.Running well... Will it turn? I thought she had it. So did she.

:55:07. > :55:15.Really good effort. She remains a couple behind. Three holes left to

:55:16. > :55:30.go. One more birdie would be very valuable to her. Very impressive. Mo

:55:31. > :55:36.Martin at the 17th. 11-under. Not as you say, mooring, not of powerful

:55:37. > :56:04.player, but she has hit a lot of straight, good quality shots.

:56:05. > :56:18.There we are, Matthew might just be OK. Just OK on the little downslope.

:56:19. > :56:26.Just in the rough and has tucked it nose in the grass, the ball. The

:56:27. > :56:32.good news is, 135 yards left and she has 20 yards of green to land the

:56:33. > :56:34.ball on. This is manageable because it is bound to come out with a bit

:56:35. > :56:53.of run. That is a very good result. It was a

:56:54. > :57:01.magnificent shot. Nice bounce. Chance for three. I thought that was

:57:02. > :57:20.terrific. The pin is 21, three from the right.

:57:21. > :57:27.A very tight to the right of the 16th green. Massive tee shot. 285

:57:28. > :57:37.yards. After tea with a three with 108 left. -- of the. She has used

:57:38. > :57:46.the 3-wood very often today. Two, three times. What sort of shots has

:57:47. > :57:56.she got here? It is the simplest of shots. Perfect angle. 108 with a

:57:57. > :58:02.breeze, but not much. 9-iron? Probably some sort of a wedge.

:58:03. > :58:07.Probably a gap wedge. We never played this hole to be played like

:58:08. > :58:14.this, this is for the big boys. Give her a red card. Just got to be

:58:15. > :58:25.careful of the right-hand bunker, not leak it too far to the right.

:58:26. > :58:43.How brave the she dare to be. If she goes for the flag, got to be

:58:44. > :58:49.pinpointed. It was brave. It was over the flag. Good shot. We have

:58:50. > :59:00.been talking about her three wins this year, but she also lost in a

:59:01. > :59:04.play-off a couple of weeks ago. She did, but it is Jutanugarn, setting

:59:05. > :59:08.the pace. We're not done yet from Woburn, we will follow the leaders

:59:09. > :59:13.to the finish of their third rounds. But we will have to do so on the red

:59:14. > :59:20.button. Because we have a date in central London, 50 miles south of

:59:21. > :59:24.here for the ride London classic. But we will be back with the

:59:25. > :59:30.conclusion of this third round and then the fourth day live from Woburn

:59:31. > :59:32.on BBC Two from 2pm tomorrow. Thanks for your company on BBC Two. Catch

:59:33. > :59:35.you on the red button I hope.
