:00:32. > :00:36.Good afternoon, it is not just any old afternoon, it's the grand

:00:37. > :00:41.occasion of local football show case, the after noon of the 2017

:00:42. > :00:47.Tennants Irish Cup final. The sun's come out. The fans have come out.

:00:48. > :00:52.Windsor Park or the new National Stadium, if you prefer, is all

:00:53. > :00:55.buffed and polished and has rarely, if ever, looked better. We are ready

:00:56. > :01:02.to rumble. Good afternoon everyone. Great to have you for company over

:01:03. > :01:09.the next few hours. Equally great to be in the company of three legends.

:01:10. > :01:14.We will hear from the boys shortly. All you know much about the coveted

:01:15. > :01:19.piece of silverware that is here. Ten Cup Finals between them as

:01:20. > :01:24.managers. Marty Quinn looking sprightly, the the last man to

:01:25. > :01:30.manage Coleraine to the cup. Seven cup wins in total. And Gary

:01:31. > :01:35.Hamilton, less stress now, as player manager with Glenavon.

:01:36. > :01:38.Gary delighted that you're here, David and Marty also. Last year's

:01:39. > :01:43.winning manager. How difficult is it? Very difficult. I'm gutted I'm

:01:44. > :01:53.not there again. It's a big occasion for players. This is the pinnacle

:01:54. > :01:57.for a player. And the pinnacle for a manager. You're the last man to land

:01:58. > :02:03.Linfield a treble. They're going for it today. Added pressure or pressure

:02:04. > :02:07.off on David Healy and the squad? Depends on your perspective. For

:02:08. > :02:10.some people it will be can they do a double or treble, like Linfield

:02:11. > :02:16.teams of the past? Or will there be those who are maybe a bit more sense

:02:17. > :02:19.and say well, they've got the big one, the league trophy, anything

:02:20. > :02:23.else Linfield achieve will be the icing on the cake. It depends what

:02:24. > :02:28.pressure the Linfield players are feeling. But I think today will be a

:02:29. > :02:31.fantastic day. You'll not need reminding, when he landed the

:02:32. > :02:36.treble, you were on the receiving end in that Cup Final, a game which

:02:37. > :02:39.probably you did dominate but lost. It can go that way in a Cup Final.

:02:40. > :02:42.If you don't take your chances you don't win cups. That was the case on

:02:43. > :02:45.the day. We had several opportunities to increase the 1-0

:02:46. > :02:50.lead. As David said, he was delighted to go in 1-0 down and they

:02:51. > :02:54.come out in the second half refreshed, motivated and they got a

:02:55. > :02:59.quick equaliser. Another one shortly after it and went on to win the cup.

:03:00. > :03:04.That's the way it goes. Today, Coleraine will have - they have a

:03:05. > :03:08.young side. They'll have no fear. They've been here before, done it,

:03:09. > :03:12.they've won it. I have a feeling if they can match Linfield in the first

:03:13. > :03:16.20 minutes, not to concede anything, they can get something out of the

:03:17. > :03:21.game. But it's about taking your chance when's you're dominating.

:03:22. > :03:24.That day is very vivid in my memory. Remember talking to Brian McLaughlin

:03:25. > :03:32.through the first half and we were so thankful to go in just 1-0 down.

:03:33. > :03:36.Poise poll Pete, scores two goals and we won the cup. The teams

:03:37. > :03:42.arrived a short time ago, all suitably suited and booted and 21st

:03:43. > :03:46.century Cup Final fashion dictates. David Healy, we've hinted the the

:03:47. > :03:50.big day for the big manager. Roy Carroll there. Going for his own

:03:51. > :03:57.unique piece of history today. They are replete with household names,

:03:58. > :04:01.not least Adam Mullan, the skipper -- Jamie Mulgrew, the skipper with

:04:02. > :04:06.the game face on. There they come the man from the north coast. Oran

:04:07. > :04:14.Kearney young, bright manager at helm. How big a day for Eoin

:04:15. > :04:21.Bradley. Cup Final day last year with Glenavon. Michael O'Neill, the

:04:22. > :04:26.international manager, not sure if there'll be a call up, but great to

:04:27. > :04:32.see him here. Let's hear from the respective camps, David Healy landed

:04:33. > :04:35.the league title last weekend and reminded the doubters that he had

:04:36. > :04:41.delivered. Can they double up for the cup and what would it mean for

:04:42. > :04:47.them to do so. COMMENTATOR: For the 52nd time

:04:48. > :04:52.Linfield are the champions. The players are enjoying every single

:04:53. > :04:56.moment. I said from the start I firmly believed we were the better

:04:57. > :05:01.team this year. Probably understand more now what this club means and to

:05:02. > :05:05.see 2,000 people turn up on Saturday just to walk around the pitch for 45

:05:06. > :05:09.minutes, showed how much bringing the cup back, bringing the league

:05:10. > :05:16.title back here meant to them. Some people doubted whether I had the

:05:17. > :05:22.mentality to carry this job through. I want to be better.

:05:23. > :05:26.COMMENTATOR: A nice moment between Tommy Bresnan and David Healy. I

:05:27. > :05:31.want to be a better coach. I want to be a better manager. I want to be a

:05:32. > :05:34.better all-around person. Losing The Cup Final last year hurt. Probably

:05:35. > :05:40.took me two or three months to get that out of my system. I know beaten

:05:41. > :05:46.Dungannon in the semifinal, the players knew there was a gritty

:05:47. > :05:51.determination. It was a tough game. COMMENTATOR: And that could be the

:05:52. > :05:53.winner. But we knew once we got through that day this was the chance

:05:54. > :06:00.of redeeming themselves from last year. So I seen it in their eyes, in

:06:01. > :06:05.their reaction after the game. There was no celebrating in the dressing

:06:06. > :06:10.room. That wasn't out of disrespect for gun Gannon. That was out of

:06:11. > :06:17.sheer acknowledgement that the players now had a chance to go and

:06:18. > :06:21.win another Cup Final. COMMENTATOR: The deflection tested

:06:22. > :06:26.Carroll. What a world class bit of goal keeping. I've known Roy since

:06:27. > :06:31.he was 18, 19. I knew what type of character he was. When I see

:06:32. > :06:37.somebody at 39 with the enthusiasm that I see with Roy Carroll Carol,

:06:38. > :06:41.it's remarkable that he wants to do. It doesn't surprise me he still has

:06:42. > :06:46.the quality to do it. Some of his saves and performance that's year

:06:47. > :06:50.are outstanding. Once he got in contact with me, I was going to sign

:06:51. > :06:53.no matter what. I knew it was a big club over here. I like playing under

:06:54. > :06:56.pressure. Every time you go on the pitch to play for Linfield, the

:06:57. > :07:00.pressure is always there to win games. Still sometimes unreal

:07:01. > :07:05.calling him the gaffer, you know what I mean. I'm a few years older

:07:06. > :07:13.than him. He's done wonders here. At a club the size of Linfield, the

:07:14. > :07:16.demands that come with that. I knew how demanding it would be. We're

:07:17. > :07:21.league title winners. We're champions. If that doesn't release

:07:22. > :07:24.the shackles off the players to go and play on Saturday, I'm not sure

:07:25. > :07:31.what will. We will talk David Healy in a moment. But David first, Roy

:07:32. > :07:36.Carroll, he's chasing this unique Irish Cup and FA Cup double. How

:07:37. > :07:40.significant a signing was it? There's Ronaldo with him back in the

:07:41. > :07:47.day at United. This is a lovely story because Sir Alex Ferguson said

:07:48. > :07:50.to Roy prior to that game, if they went three up, he would come on.

:07:51. > :07:55.There's Roy celebrating. His contribution this year has been

:07:56. > :07:59.absolutely enormous. He's a big character. Obviously, he's

:08:00. > :08:04.experienced and his know how is there. His performances have been

:08:05. > :08:07.superb. The little piece that we ran in there, we saw the save in the

:08:08. > :08:12.semifinal. If dun beganan had scored they probably would have won the

:08:13. > :08:19.game. You see the save from young Paul Heatly, most significant. I

:08:20. > :08:23.know when we were here this season with Ballymena, he turned a draw

:08:24. > :08:28.into a win just by his performance. Chris Jones at the other end, he was

:08:29. > :08:31.once his hero. More from Coleraine shortly. David Healy explicit about

:08:32. > :08:34.the pressures of club management. Earlier this season, Oran Kearney

:08:35. > :08:39.was also a manager under the spotlight. He has grown this current

:08:40. > :08:43.crop organically and how he and they have turned things around.

:08:44. > :08:51.# We've come a long, long way together

:08:52. > :08:55.# Through the hard times and the good... It means the world. A long

:08:56. > :08:58.time coming I think. Our form in the league has been good over the last

:08:59. > :09:02.couple of years. The Irish Cup, to be honest, has been good to me as a

:09:03. > :09:05.player, but as a manager, up until this season, it's one that we've

:09:06. > :09:10.struggled to get past fifth or sixth round. It's really gripped the town,

:09:11. > :09:14.you know the flags are flying already, the length of bally castle

:09:15. > :09:18.road. The fans have got behind it. It's a massive day and one that the

:09:19. > :09:23.whole area is looking forward to. COMMENTATOR: There's Oran Kearney. I

:09:24. > :09:27.think Irish Cup week in general, from my experience as a player, it's

:09:28. > :09:32.a fantastic week and probably the best in your playing career. I think

:09:33. > :09:37.it would take greater pleasure doing it as a manager. As a player you go

:09:38. > :09:40.there quite selfish on the day and look after yourself and you tune

:09:41. > :09:43.into your job and get the job done. Going there as a manager, you're

:09:44. > :09:48.looking after so many different people and so many aspects of the

:09:49. > :09:54.day, that I think as a manager, it will be far more pleasing.

:09:55. > :09:59.COMMENTATOR: Oran Kearney the orchestrator. In all my time as a

:10:00. > :10:04.player and a manager in the league and knowing of Coleraine, it's the

:10:05. > :10:07.most local club ever, that speaks volumes for the crowd, for the

:10:08. > :10:10.atmosphere we have about the time. They're local players playing for

:10:11. > :10:17.their local club, which gives it a real sense of identity and

:10:18. > :10:28.community. COMMENTATOR: McCauley is there! They

:10:29. > :10:32.have won it for Coleraine. I think when it's one all with ten or 15

:10:33. > :10:37.minutes to go, they're more likely to gig in and fight harder because

:10:38. > :10:41.they have that sense of belonging and real identity with the club. It

:10:42. > :10:46.is their home stadium. They've always played there. I believe The

:10:47. > :10:50.Cup Final of this magnitude should be played at the National Stadium. I

:10:51. > :10:53.wouldn't want it played anywhere else, to be honest with you.

:10:54. > :10:59.COMMENTATOR: The man on the right-hand side. It's in the net.

:11:00. > :11:03.I'd be more worried going there if it was a season ago, when maybe we

:11:04. > :11:06.hadn't beaten Linfield in a couple of years. The big step this year,

:11:07. > :11:10.for the young players in particular, are the manner of our performances

:11:11. > :11:14.against Linfield and the crusaders this year. We have gone up a notch.

:11:15. > :11:18.I don't need to tell the players that they're ready. I don't need to

:11:19. > :11:21.tell them that we can go and do this because they know already, with what

:11:22. > :11:25.we've produced this season, that there is that big performance there.

:11:26. > :11:30.It's only a matter of getting it out on Cup Final day.

:11:31. > :11:35.Marty, he is a bright, young manager. Under pressure, but Oran

:11:36. > :11:40.Kearney, you have to give the club and the chairman credit, they backed

:11:41. > :11:43.him. How big is today for them? It's a massive day. The Coleraine

:11:44. > :11:49.chairman and his fellow directors need to take a lot of credit

:11:50. > :11:53.actually, because the naves were out for Oran. It was common knowledge in

:11:54. > :11:56.the league. The talk was Oran Kearney is next for the chop. That's

:11:57. > :12:01.the way it was looking. He got himself together. He showed great

:12:02. > :12:05.patience with the players who he'd been bringing along. They went on a

:12:06. > :12:09.fantastic rub. They're -- run. They're in The Cup Final now. This

:12:10. > :12:14.is part of the squad he's assembled here. These guys, tremendous for

:12:15. > :12:19.him. A lot of managers buy time by saying they're going down the road

:12:20. > :12:24.of youth. Coleraine have structured it over five or six years, due to

:12:25. > :12:28.Oran Kearney, in connection with the school of excellence there. They

:12:29. > :12:32.have the academy. They have the Harry Craig foundation. They are

:12:33. > :12:36.pulling together. These are young, local lads, from around Derry

:12:37. > :12:40.county, Antrim area. They're reaping the rewards. He has shown that

:12:41. > :12:44.patience as have the board and the fans. Today I'm delighted for them

:12:45. > :12:50.to be there and hopefully they can enjoy the day. There's a key thing

:12:51. > :12:55.that he said, that was about identity. Young people from the

:12:56. > :12:59.area, from the community who have a belief and a know how and want to

:13:00. > :13:08.represent Coleraine. That's coming through in abundance. I have to echo

:13:09. > :13:14.the team, they have stuck with Oran, and with stability and longevity you

:13:15. > :13:20.get days like today. Let's have that right now in the studio, we're going

:13:21. > :13:23.pitchside. He's with the man who found the net for Marty Quinn over a

:13:24. > :13:28.decade ago. We're going to speak to Jodie in a

:13:29. > :13:32.second. It's the 72nd time the Irish Cup final has been held here at

:13:33. > :13:35.Windsor, the first since it was redeveloped and re-opened last

:13:36. > :13:41.October. It's looking good today. You mention that we're going to be

:13:42. > :13:46.talking to the man who scored the goal 2003 final for Coleraine, five

:13:47. > :13:49.Cup Finals you played, in an occasion like this, it never really

:13:50. > :13:55.loses that feeling of being a very special day. No, it's the biggest

:13:56. > :14:00.day in local football. You want to be at Windsor Park in the first week

:14:01. > :14:10.of May, because then you're in The Cup Final. We mention 2003, someone

:14:11. > :14:14.nearly stole your thunder that day. Gareth McCauley, having a fantastic

:14:15. > :14:19.career in the Premier League. I think the ball fell and he slotted

:14:20. > :14:24.it home. He should have put us 1-0 up. Still the glory fell to you.

:14:25. > :14:29.What do you remember of the goal? It was strufy, a corner. Gorman put in

:14:30. > :14:35.a good ball. A header was cleared off the line. It come out to me, I

:14:36. > :14:39.just volleyed it back in. Hit the post and the rest is history. We've

:14:40. > :14:42.been talking to Marty Quinn up in the studio about the job that Oran

:14:43. > :14:46.Kearney has done with this team. It's incredible the turn around that

:14:47. > :14:53.he's managed to produce here. It is. He's generated a young side, enthuse

:14:54. > :14:56.yafrtic you know, a lot of -- enthusiastic, you know, a lot of

:14:57. > :14:59.legs in the side. After their legs and fitness will show, they can come

:15:00. > :15:04.out winners tonight. Put it on the line, who is going to win? I'm going

:15:05. > :15:06.to go for 2-1 Coleraine. I have to go with the local side. I think they

:15:07. > :15:18.can do it. STUDIO: Good to see Jody Toland

:15:19. > :15:23.looking well. The boys were salivating over that. This is

:15:24. > :15:31.something else to whet the appetite. One from 40 years ago, 1977,

:15:32. > :15:36.Coleraine taking on a hotly fancied Linfield. And certainly Beckett with

:15:37. > :15:39.a haystack of hair was about to write a significant footnote in the

:15:40. > :15:53.Bannsiders' history. Incredible memories. It is a day you

:15:54. > :15:59.never forget. The players involved were -- will not forget it. It is a

:16:00. > :16:08.day to look forward to and you cherish those memories. It is a

:16:09. > :16:12.special occasion. It is a bonus, particularly stuck at the back as a

:16:13. > :16:16.defender and you come up for a corner kick. People say the

:16:17. > :16:33.goalkeeper fumbled it, but I do not believe that. I had a bit of chalk

:16:34. > :16:47.side on it as we say in the game. With all due respect.

:16:48. > :17:01.We won 4- won convincingly. Among those who did not give you a chance,

:17:02. > :17:06.Roy Coyle, he said there would be five goals in the game. I remember

:17:07. > :17:19.it well. Before most games we went into the local cafe and get a big

:17:20. > :17:25.Friday. -- big fry. I could see the newspaper headline, it will be five.

:17:26. > :17:33.He got it right. There were five but it was 4-1 to Coleraine. I think it

:17:34. > :17:37.was Jennings, our great midfield player, reminding him about the

:17:38. > :17:44.five. And I remember him saying you were right about the five, but you

:17:45. > :17:53.got it the wrong way round. They work the medals and heroes of

:17:54. > :18:03.yesteryear. Who will be the heroes of 2017? Harry, you have chosen to

:18:04. > :18:09.highlight Eoin Bradley. He is a top guy, somebody who if you put your

:18:10. > :18:16.faith and trust in him he is a big-game player. Used to playing in

:18:17. > :18:23.front of big crowds. He relishes it and produces nine times out of ten

:18:24. > :18:27.and last year, that ball was especially a tremendous ball,

:18:28. > :18:33.putting us up 1-0 and in good stead to win. He has been a tremendous

:18:34. > :18:42.player for us and he has scored important goals for them since

:18:43. > :18:48.Christmas. If he had played from 18, 19, the attributes and strength he

:18:49. > :18:52.had, and maybe more coaching, he definitely had all the attributes.

:18:53. > :18:57.The power and strength and pace. Those players are always worth their

:18:58. > :19:07.weight in gold. Marty, you could have chosen Moore of half a dozen

:19:08. > :19:12.bit you choose Jamie Moore crew. Did I hear you say that Eoin Bradley was

:19:13. > :19:22.hard to manage? Gary Hamilton saying that! I have the pleasure of working

:19:23. > :19:26.with him in the past. Jamie Mulgrew has been outstanding for Linfield

:19:27. > :19:30.but this year, he seems to have come to the fore with the experience and

:19:31. > :19:36.confidence and leadership ability. Any time I look at Linfield now, he

:19:37. > :19:41.is so important, getting on the ball, passing it well and using

:19:42. > :19:48.every trick in the book will stop he thoroughly deserves the Player of

:19:49. > :19:55.the Year award, the supporters have given. He is an outstanding player

:19:56. > :20:03.for Linfield. He is 31, 32, he has a few seasons in him. The point you

:20:04. > :20:09.make is good, he has come of age. He is the last of the group part of the

:20:10. > :20:16.six doubles in seven years and Jamie for a long time was in the shadows

:20:17. > :20:20.of people such as William Murphy, Oran Kearney. This year he has

:20:21. > :20:26.grabbed it by the scruff of the neck. And with Stephen has been

:20:27. > :20:32.under the radar. Jimmy has stepped up to the mark. A man who used to

:20:33. > :20:41.grab it by the scruff of the neck is pitch side.

:20:42. > :20:46.Also pitch side is the trophy. A man used to getting his hands on the

:20:47. > :20:53.trophy is Peter Thompson. What about this for a record? Six finals, six

:20:54. > :21:00.goals, six wins. You obviously enjoyed cup finals. Cup finals are

:21:01. > :21:11.what it is all about. Winning the league, but come on cup final day

:21:12. > :21:16.there is a special buzz. Last time you got both of the goals. What do

:21:17. > :21:23.you remember? The first half was a struggle. 1-0 down and not playing

:21:24. > :21:29.well. We were coming for a first double in a row, under pressure.

:21:30. > :21:39.Coleraine were the better side. Got a bit of a run at half-time, coming

:21:40. > :21:47.out and scoring two goals. Two from 25 yards for myself. It was great. I

:21:48. > :21:55.was lucky enough to get the headlines that day but it was about

:21:56. > :22:00.a team effort coming back from 1-0 down.

:22:01. > :22:05.Thanks for joining us. Back to you. Still looking like he could play. A

:22:06. > :22:12.big day for the players and a massive day for the fans and match

:22:13. > :22:15.official today. Keith Kenedy, a late replacement for Raymond

:22:16. > :22:24.Hetherington. He is under scrutiny today. It is a big day for him. It

:22:25. > :22:30.is unfair to put the referee in this situation when he has been a season

:22:31. > :22:34.ticket holder. If he makes a mistake against Coleraine, that will be

:22:35. > :22:40.brought up and he will be lambasted for that. You think the IFA have

:22:41. > :22:45.made a mistake, putting him in? He is no longer a Linfield season

:22:46. > :22:50.ticket holder, it was when he was a young man. But he has been referee

:22:51. > :22:56.in the league, why not the Cup? It is a different day in my opinion. It

:22:57. > :23:03.is leaving him to be hung dry if he makes a mistake against Coleraine.

:23:04. > :23:07.If there were someone else playing in it, fair enough, but when it

:23:08. > :23:18.becomes a day like this... I. You there. We will pick up at half-time.

:23:19. > :23:27.In the meantime, alongside Chris Morgan, Mr Thomas Kane.

:23:28. > :23:32.COMMENTATOR: It is the showpiece occasion every player and manager

:23:33. > :23:36.wants to be involved in. A capacity crowd, over 12,000 packed inside

:23:37. > :23:44.Windsor Park, and that is what they are playing for. It is a big day for

:23:45. > :23:50.the families with many players walking outside onto the pitch with

:23:51. > :23:54.members of their family. The fans are enjoying themselves. Chris, cup

:23:55. > :24:00.final day is special and day everybody wants to be part of. It is

:24:01. > :24:05.special. When you start in January playing the first round the ultimate

:24:06. > :24:11.goal is to get here and when you are here, it is only about winning. I

:24:12. > :24:18.have unfortunately lost two finals, and they are horrendous occasions

:24:19. > :24:22.when you lose. Whilst you have had the enjoyment of the build-up and

:24:23. > :24:30.experience of the occasion, when you lose, it is as bad feeling you will

:24:31. > :24:46.get football. Oran Kearney will be walking alongside his twins,

:24:47. > :24:53.six-year-old Eva and Luca. And a big day for David Healy, having secured

:24:54. > :24:56.the shield and a league title last week against Cliftonville in

:24:57. > :25:09.dramatic fashion. Everyone is waiting for the go-ahead. We are set

:25:10. > :25:19.for the Irish Cup final of 2017. Listen to the roar of the fans.

:25:20. > :25:39.These few seconds in the tunnel will feel like an eternity.

:25:40. > :25:49.And with his young daughter and niece. The flames are up on the

:25:50. > :25:54.pitch. This scene is set. Linfield against Coleraine in the Irish Cup

:25:55. > :26:02.final. Chris, a red-hot atmosphere inside the ground. I can feel the

:26:03. > :26:07.flames from here. The atmosphere is building. There is a good feeling

:26:08. > :26:13.about the game. I think it will be an open match. The fact both teams

:26:14. > :26:18.have come in with successful seasons for differing reasons, I think some

:26:19. > :26:25.of the pressure will be lifted. A real sense of occasion. So much so,

:26:26. > :26:29.earlier in the week, they asked Coleraine to come down and

:26:30. > :26:35.experience the pre-match festivities for themselves. They walked onto the

:26:36. > :26:40.pitch and experience that, getting the big match feel and there is

:26:41. > :26:44.someone who knows about the big occasions, Jamie Moore groove. He

:26:45. > :26:51.has played in seven finals and the one he lost last year, as he said,

:26:52. > :26:57.was the most difficult to take. Orrin Kearney's twins, as I

:26:58. > :27:04.mentioned earlier. His wife is up in the stands along with her father

:27:05. > :27:09.Kenny Shiels and his mother and father as well, Liam and Bridget.

:27:10. > :27:18.David Martin from the IFA. Meeting both sets of players. David Ogilby

:27:19. > :27:23.is the skipper today. His son is in his arms. A pressure rise day for

:27:24. > :27:35.the officials. There are bound to be nervous as well Out them. He knows

:27:36. > :27:46.the man he is about to shake hands with, David Healy, very well. Roy

:27:47. > :27:53.Carroll, playing in his first Irish Cup final in his first year in local

:27:54. > :27:58.football. What a season he has had and what a season David Healy has

:27:59. > :28:08.had. He had his doubters when he took the job last October but he has

:28:09. > :28:52.proved them wrong. . As we pause for the national anthem.

:28:53. > :29:20.It is showtime. This scene is set. The players are ready. And a final

:29:21. > :29:26.handshake between the managers. The nerves will not go until a couple of

:29:27. > :29:35.minutes in the game. It is not like a normal game. You do not go through

:29:36. > :29:42.this routine on a given Saturday. Six of the line-up, 21 or younger.

:29:43. > :29:47.Eoin Bradley was part of the Glenavon side who defeated Linfield

:29:48. > :29:49.last year. Only one of the starters to have played in an Irish Cup final

:29:50. > :30:07.before. David Healy going for a tried

:30:08. > :30:11.starting XI. Roy Carroll, plus Stafford and Niall Quinn, both of

:30:12. > :30:17.whom were on the bench last year. And these are the officials. Keith

:30:18. > :30:27.Kenedy and his assistants. The fourth official is Tim Marshall.

:30:28. > :30:32.Windsor Park is rocking. Eoin Bradley, a big game player,

:30:33. > :30:36.according to Gary Hamilton. How crucial a role will he play today?

:30:37. > :30:42.He is the one player who could have an impact in this game, Eoin

:30:43. > :30:46.Bradley. Gary talked in the studio, he has the big-game mentality and

:30:47. > :30:50.relishes these occasions. He is used to the big crowd and he is the one

:30:51. > :30:56.big chance Coleraine have. I think Linfield are the favourites but if

:30:57. > :31:01.Bradley is on his game, he could possibly win the game on his own.

:31:02. > :31:10.Which one of tease two men will get their hands on Irish Cup this

:31:11. > :31:14.afternoon? The coin toss taking place. David Ogilby the longest

:31:15. > :31:25.serving member of the Coleraine squad. Mulgrew has won everything in

:31:26. > :31:29.the game, but arguably this is his best season. Roy Carroll played in

:31:30. > :31:36.the 2004 FA Cup Final with Manchester United, also won the

:31:37. > :31:45.Greek Cup with Olympaikos. How crucial will he be today? Oran

:31:46. > :31:52.Kearney, like David Healy, had his doubters. Can he win Coleraine's

:31:53. > :32:02.first trophy since Marty Quinn in 2003? Huge amount of buses coming

:32:03. > :32:04.down from the north coast. Keith Kennedy prepares to get this game

:32:05. > :32:24.under way. Coleraine against Linfield led by

:32:25. > :32:31.David Healy. Great atmosphere in the stadium. Fantastic to see such a big

:32:32. > :32:33.crowd in for a domestic Cup Final. Well over 12,000 fans in Windsor

:32:34. > :33:03.Park. We're under way. Lyndon Kane's family has had a busy

:33:04. > :33:08.day. 18 months ago his aunt booked their wedding day. His mum and dad

:33:09. > :33:13.went to the service earlier. Then raced down the road, they're going

:33:14. > :33:20.back to the reception tonight for his aunt Gillian getting married to

:33:21. > :33:41.John. Will there be silverware to celebrate at the reception?

:33:42. > :33:54.A very attacking line-up picked by Oran Kearney today.

:33:55. > :34:03.12,500 people confirmed in the stadium. Talk about nerves. The

:34:04. > :34:07.flicked header was supposed to glance into the hands of Chris

:34:08. > :34:10.Johns. Didn't work out. It's an early opportunity for Lynn feed to

:34:11. > :34:18.put pressure on the back line. Yeah, it is. # easily defendable situation

:34:19. > :34:19.there. Communication issue between goalkeeper and centre half. Possibly

:34:20. > :34:42.the noise. A little tug on Adam Mullan who was

:34:43. > :34:43.mar shalling the -- Jamie Mulgrew who was mar shalling the situation

:34:44. > :34:57.well. Jamie Mulgrew senses the danger. If

:34:58. > :35:05.Bradley had played it wide left, it would have been more advantageous.

:35:06. > :35:26.It shows on the counter they can cause problems.

:35:27. > :35:31.That's going to be another corner kick. Good start from Linfield.

:35:32. > :35:33.Yeah. I think as well set pieces could be crucial for Linfield.

:35:34. > :35:38.You're right it was lax from Coleraine. They allowed him to come

:35:39. > :35:43.off and get the ball and turn. He's created a corner really from a

:35:44. > :35:47.situation of a throw-in. Linfield we know the threats from set pieces.

:35:48. > :35:50.The three defenders they have are grouped together. They're the three

:35:51. > :35:56.that are a real danger from set pieces. Burns is in there as a

:35:57. > :36:00.fourth. The referee will ask for the corner

:36:01. > :36:09.to be taken again. He's having a word with a couple of players in the

:36:10. > :36:12.box. I mentioned Callacher, Stafford, and Haughey at right back,

:36:13. > :36:24.between them they have scored 23 goals this season.

:36:25. > :36:32.Palmed away by Johns. That's a good chance. It's a decent header back

:36:33. > :36:37.across from Mark Haughey. Wonder if it should have been put in the area

:36:38. > :36:42.for somebody else. Routine save for Chris Johns. We

:36:43. > :36:45.spoke about the importance of the first 20 minutes from a Coleraine

:36:46. > :37:09.perspective. Chris Johns is going to try and take

:37:10. > :37:14.his time over this. He will be glad to get his hands on the ball and

:37:15. > :37:17.Coleraine can step out a little bit. The prescreeding corner there, Chris

:37:18. > :37:21.Johns was interested in seeing him come through bodies to deal with it.

:37:22. > :37:25.His defenders will be happy with him trying to help them out.

:37:26. > :37:33.Appeals for offside. Straightforward enough decision. It has been a

:37:34. > :37:38.fairly open first five minutes so far. Don't think we expected too

:37:39. > :37:43.many opportunities early on, but certainly from those set pieces

:37:44. > :37:50.Linfield have caused the Coleraine goalkeeper problems.

:37:51. > :37:54.Roy Carroll seems to be loving his football here. Made the decision to

:37:55. > :37:57.come back. He's been a very important cog in the Linfield

:37:58. > :38:07.machine this season. Very athoritative.

:38:08. > :38:14.Chris Johns had Roy Carroll up on his bedroom wall, one of his heroes

:38:15. > :38:19.growing up. Now they're head to head in a Cup Final.

:38:20. > :38:30.Nudge in the back from Callacher. The decision to could Rhine. --

:38:31. > :38:35.Coleraine. Looks a bit soft. Don't know whether Jimmy Callacher does an

:38:36. > :38:39.awful lot. I'm sure Michael Bradley is strong enough to handle that.

:38:40. > :38:43.You'd argue that's good centre forward play. Brought a free kick. I

:38:44. > :38:46.think so. It gives Coleraine a moment of respite. They can play in

:38:47. > :38:50.Linfield's half for a bit. Maybe throw a ball into the box here. It's

:38:51. > :39:00.not a great angle for a cross. Too far probably for a shot. Brad Lyons

:39:01. > :39:06.standing over it. Concern about him for this game, he had a knee injury,

:39:07. > :39:15.but passed fit this morning. Harkin joined Coleraine in January.

:39:16. > :39:21.Had a go from zand, very ambitious. It was going to take something. From

:39:22. > :39:24.the second you left his boot you knew it wasn't going to cause Roy

:39:25. > :39:28.Carroll too many problems. It is a difficult one there. He probably

:39:29. > :39:32.felt I'll have a crack at this and see if we can work the goalkeeper.

:39:33. > :39:33.Probably 35 yards out. The angle wasn't overly good to cross the

:39:34. > :40:01.ball. Understandable. I think David Healy will be fairly

:40:02. > :40:05.happy with this start. He will be. They've had a lot of ball in the

:40:06. > :40:11.Coleraine half. They're not completely fluid in their play just

:40:12. > :40:15.yet. But territorially they're playing well. You mentioned earlier

:40:16. > :40:18.that 20-minute mark. They'll be keen to get there and still level in the

:40:19. > :40:22.game. It hasn't been the best start from them. The longer this period

:40:23. > :40:25.goes and they can start to feel a little bit more assured sured in the

:40:26. > :40:50.-- assured in the match. Haughey, he's not happy with the

:40:51. > :40:55.decision. No hesitation with the referee. I think he's probably right

:40:56. > :41:01.there, the referee. They want McCauley on the ball. He seems to

:41:02. > :41:05.play nearly inside. Doesn't start right out on the line like a

:41:06. > :41:11.traditional winger. He plays inside ten, 15 yards. But he's a real

:41:12. > :41:53.threat when he gets the ball and starts dribbling at people.

:41:54. > :42:14.Linfield certainly on top in terms of possession.

:42:15. > :42:25.So almost at the ten-minute mark for Oran Kearney. Two time Irish Cup

:42:26. > :42:30.winner with Linfield. A real model pro in the Irish League. Very well

:42:31. > :42:35.thought of and he certainly carried that into management. Very popular

:42:36. > :42:40.figure around the local game. That's well played from Lyndon Kane. Ball

:42:41. > :42:49.that he heads back, get it wrong and you put one of the other players in,

:42:50. > :42:54.but takes the pressure out of the situation and cushioned it back. Six

:42:55. > :43:02.of the Coleraine starting line-up 21 or younger. It is remarkable what

:43:03. > :43:05.they've managed to achieve. It was a vision from both the chairman and

:43:06. > :43:08.also Oran Kearney that they wanted young players from the area to line

:43:09. > :43:24.out for them. Bradley took the wrong option. Two

:43:25. > :43:28.or three runners from midfield. It's a good counterattack. It is the

:43:29. > :43:33.wrong option. It sits up nicely for him. From that angle, that distance,

:43:34. > :43:37.it will take unbelievable strength. You see McCauley running inside him

:43:38. > :43:39.there. He berates him because he needs to slide it in between. A good

:43:40. > :44:04.counterattack. Bit surprised thattor ran went for

:44:05. > :44:10.the tree of Bradley, McLaughlin and McGonigle? A little bit yes.

:44:11. > :44:19.McLaughlin could be a threat off the bench. Lyndon Kane is maybe hurt

:44:20. > :44:22.ever so slightly there. Surprised that he didn't hold him back. He

:44:23. > :44:29.scored the winning goal in the semifinal. McGonigle up front, and

:44:30. > :44:33.that was a good pairing. He maybe just thought James McLaughlin could

:44:34. > :44:53.be the man. He seems to be one that turns up on a good day.

:44:54. > :44:58.Quinn's just filled in now. He will be comfortable enough playing as a

:44:59. > :45:04.fullback until they get the shape again. That's the benefit of it. It

:45:05. > :45:11.does work. It is interchangeable. Also the decision of David Healy to

:45:12. > :45:16.play Mark Haughey at left back. He wanted to accommodate Stafford, as

:45:17. > :45:23.well. Haughey is a centre half. But he's been pushed out to right back

:45:24. > :45:24.because Linfield maybe have a little bit of a problem here with points

:45:25. > :45:40.early on. He is comfortable on the ball. The

:45:41. > :45:45.best defensive record of the league. Keep doing it, keep doing what works

:45:46. > :45:49.for you. That was a powerful header forward by David Ogilby. Challenge,

:45:50. > :46:04.Bradley. Very good with the ball at his feet,

:46:05. > :46:32.Carroll. Clarke kicks it out for another

:46:33. > :46:37.throwing. Paul Smyth has been quiet. He has not had a ball. It is

:46:38. > :46:43.difficult for him to get into the game unless people give him the

:46:44. > :46:47.ball. How they get him into the game and high up the pitch and in a

:46:48. > :46:55.threatening position. That was an opportunity right now. There is a

:46:56. > :47:04.real excitement about Paul Smyth when he gets on the ball. The energy

:47:05. > :47:09.about him. David Healy likes him through the middle but also on the

:47:10. > :47:13.wing because of his pace and he is one of the most exciting prospects

:47:14. > :47:28.in the Irish league. And that was Paul Smyth taking on Mullan.

:47:29. > :47:32.McConaghie dilly-dally. He always looks to make something happen. He

:47:33. > :47:37.will not take an easy pass if it is on, he will try to commit people. He

:47:38. > :47:46.is difficult for defenders to deal with.

:47:47. > :48:02.Aaron Burns, challenged by David Ogilby. A soft decision? He does not

:48:03. > :48:09.do a lot wrong. If that challenge had been on Aaron Burns, would he

:48:10. > :48:16.have given a penalty? I think it was a soft free kick. The view from the

:48:17. > :48:41.sideline. Harkin left his foot in. That is a

:48:42. > :48:47.talking to for Ciaron Harkin. He has been very highly rated since making

:48:48. > :49:01.the switch. He is still very young, Harkin, at 21.

:49:02. > :49:18.Stafford this time flicking it towards the goal and another easy

:49:19. > :49:30.take for Johns. He would do well to beat the keeper from that angle.

:49:31. > :49:54.Chris Johns almost playing as sweeper keeper, he is that far off

:49:55. > :50:03.his line. He is alert and aware of what is going on.

:50:04. > :50:14.Bradley and Callacher, that is a tussle we will be adjudicating on

:50:15. > :50:22.this afternoon. Paul Smyth made a decent run. Larry might have wanted

:50:23. > :50:30.to have fed it down their for Paul Smyth, but I am not sure that was

:50:31. > :50:35.on. It had to be pretty much inch perfect from Stephen Lowry and he

:50:36. > :50:42.obviously overhit it. Not too many goal scoring chances so far. The

:50:43. > :50:52.first five minutes were strong but it has got scrappy now.

:50:53. > :50:55.Coleraine are coming into it a little bit more than certainly the

:50:56. > :51:22.start of the game will -- game. -- Paul Smyth took on his man and

:51:23. > :51:27.tried to pass it across the face of goal. He should have said it back to

:51:28. > :51:52.Lowry and he has a thump at goal. Adam Mullan clean things up. That

:51:53. > :51:58.was super play by Bradley. McCauley, but again, the touch is a little bit

:51:59. > :52:02.too far ahead of the Coleraine player. That is the strength of

:52:03. > :52:14.Bradley, the physical strength. Arguably that is a defenders ball.

:52:15. > :52:21.But nobody is getting around him. What will Oran Kearney be thinking?

:52:22. > :52:31.He will be relatively happy. Well played again. Kane. 100 games

:52:32. > :52:39.already for Coleraine and he has not been overawed by the occasion.

:52:40. > :52:40.Displaying that level of coolness. Paul Smyth, can he kick-start

:52:41. > :52:49.something? Linfield pushing up a little bit in

:52:50. > :53:06.the past couple of minutes. Patient and deliberate from

:53:07. > :53:17.Linfield. That is where Burns is good.

:53:18. > :53:22.A low cross from Clarke. That is probably one of Linfield's better

:53:23. > :53:35.spells. Good strength from Clarke. Super

:53:36. > :53:42.play from Clarke. Great defending. The referee says no corner kick.

:53:43. > :53:46.From this distance it looks like it took a deflection. Aaron Burns

:53:47. > :53:53.thought it did. I do not Inc there is any doubt. It certainly did. He

:53:54. > :54:11.didn't hit it as cleanly as he would have liked. Definitely a corner.

:54:12. > :54:21.Corner kick to Linfield. They are starting to look threatening again.

:54:22. > :54:27.They are starting to settle and suddenly Linfield have turned it up.

:54:28. > :54:33.They do not want Waterworth in the one-on-one situations because he is

:54:34. > :54:40.quicker than Ogilby. A similar position he picked it up last week

:54:41. > :54:43.against Cliftonville. Proving so crucial in the race for the league

:54:44. > :54:54.title. Plenty of movement in the middle. Mark Stafford flicked it

:54:55. > :54:59.wide. A great chance. Interesting to see it again to see how he attacked

:55:00. > :55:05.the ball. Chris Johns was almost caught in a crowd of players. Aaron

:55:06. > :55:10.Burns got his head to it and it fell to Stafford. How did he not score?

:55:11. > :55:17.He should have hit the target. Chris Johns got caught underneath. Seem to

:55:18. > :55:21.hold up in the breeze and he got caught underneath the ball and does

:55:22. > :55:26.not deal with it. Linfield should have been ahead with that chance for

:55:27. > :55:33.Stafford. Linfield starting to turn the screw. Still looking for the

:55:34. > :55:43.first goal in this Irish Cup decider.

:55:44. > :55:53.That was a difficult pass to thread through. It should have been fed

:55:54. > :55:58.inside. Brad Lyons, whether he is talking to him, but it was a five

:55:59. > :56:04.yard ball and it could have been recycled. But you can see the

:56:05. > :56:06.strength of Bradley. It is difficult as player because you have to play

:56:07. > :56:21.with the back to goal. Niall Quinn got a head to it and

:56:22. > :56:26.flicked it towards goal but it was always looking like it would go over

:56:27. > :56:32.the top from Quinn. It is difficult when there is no pace on the ball. I

:56:33. > :56:40.presume he is trying to put it back. I don't think he would score from

:56:41. > :56:54.there, trying to keep it alive. You have to be confident in that area.

:56:55. > :57:09.The first time the combination of McLauchlan and Bradley have linked

:57:10. > :57:13.up. -- McLaughlin. Maybe Harkin has not had the influence in the game

:57:14. > :57:20.people thought he might. Aaron Burns, not the best first touch.

:57:21. > :57:28.Trying to squeeze through two players. Wrong option. I think

:57:29. > :57:45.Bradley got a toe to it. Linfield being forced to build from

:57:46. > :57:56.the back once more. The midfield has been bypassed in

:57:57. > :58:45.many ways, so far. Again, Linfield not afraid to commit

:58:46. > :58:47.men forward. Waterworth. What a pass to Lyndon Kane but the right back

:58:48. > :59:05.did just enough. Mulgrew always seems to be in the

:59:06. > :59:08.right place at the right time. He has been outstanding for Linfield,

:59:09. > :59:17.this year. Given the skipper's armband, as well. An altercation

:59:18. > :59:20.between himself and McCauley. Mulgrew was running in an area where

:59:21. > :59:32.he was under pressure and McCauley could not help himself. It is

:59:33. > :59:34.understandable. There are nerves and tension out there. Both players want

:59:35. > :59:49.it. That is desired, as well. I was talking to James Nesbitt and

:59:50. > :59:55.his father James senior was on the Coleraine team bus. Goes to every

:59:56. > :00:01.game. There he is alongside Jimmy Nesbitt. We hope to speak to him at

:00:02. > :00:06.half-time. He is with his sisters at the game and his brother-in-law, as

:00:07. > :00:16.well. Will he be celebrating in a couple of hours?

:00:17. > :00:30.Clarke and Quinn whirl linking up -- were linking up again. Johns has not

:00:31. > :00:35.had a great deal to do so far. Stafford's chance was the best

:00:36. > :00:49.opportunity, as Harkin checks back and finds Mullan.

:00:50. > :00:55.A tactic employed by Linfield, putting players under pressure.

:00:56. > :01:00.Breathing down their necks. Yeah, and that is a reasonable

:01:01. > :01:13.opportunity. Mullin sometimes struggles. Waterworth! Andrew

:01:14. > :01:17.Waterworth, who else. He's been in fantastic form. Five goals in his

:01:18. > :01:26.last two games and he's given Linfield the lead. It was all about

:01:27. > :01:30.the combination of Smyth and Waterworth. He's scored two in the

:01:31. > :01:41.cup runs so far. Make that number three. It's certainly the most

:01:42. > :01:47.important. Coleraine go to sleep on that throw-in. Waterworth is never

:01:48. > :01:52.going to miss from there. Paul Smyth got his head up and picked out

:01:53. > :01:58.Waterworth. On the half-hour mark, it's advantage Linfield. David

:01:59. > :02:05.Healy's men go ahead. That comes from a situation where Coleraine had

:02:06. > :02:09.put a couple of passes together. It went out to Mullin, but he struggles

:02:10. > :02:13.sometimes because he's right footed. He wants to come onto his right

:02:14. > :02:19.foot. They give the ball away in a position, just inside their half.

:02:20. > :02:25.They don't react. A quick turnover and Linfield get the ball back in

:02:26. > :02:29.play. Suddenly behind Smyth. Gets fortune with the deflection.

:02:30. > :02:37.Waterworth's unmarked. He's not going to miss. Linfield are looking

:02:38. > :02:41.the better side. You've got to take your chances when they come along

:02:42. > :02:46.and Linfield have done that. Can Coleraine respond? Or will it be

:02:47. > :02:53.that man Jamie Mulgrew lifting the Irish cup later today?

:02:54. > :03:00.Certainly the volume has been turned up a few notches amongst the

:03:01. > :03:05.Linfield supporters. They're going for the treble. The fans are

:03:06. > :03:12.starting to believe. That dream a few weeks ago could well become

:03:13. > :03:18.reality. Lovely control by Lovren. -- McLaughlin. Sfvment

:03:19. > :03:31.Coleraine haven't had much joy down the right side so far.

:03:32. > :03:38.Harkin goes down on the challenge with McCauley. That duo clashing

:03:39. > :03:42.once again. We could see the first booking in this Cup Final. It's

:03:43. > :03:48.yellow for Darren McCauley. Don't know if that was for the dissent

:03:49. > :03:53.afterwards. It's not really a bookable offence. Keith Kennedy

:03:54. > :03:58.seems to point out that it was the second one. Because of the two

:03:59. > :04:03.challenges, he felt yellow was merited. It's a clear foul. Mulgrew

:04:04. > :04:07.does that better than anybody in the league. He picks up the ball in

:04:08. > :04:11.dangerous areas and drives his team forward. All the moment right now is

:04:12. > :04:46.with Linfield. Can they press home that advantage?

:04:47. > :04:57.They haven't been able to retain possession in the final third. Roy

:04:58. > :05:07.Carroll hasn't been called into action at all today.

:05:08. > :05:20.Callacher goes down. This time the free kick goes Lynn fold's way.

:05:21. > :05:24.Andrew Waterworth ghosting to the near post. We've witnessed that many

:05:25. > :05:34.times through the years. Waterworth could double the lead.

:05:35. > :05:42.Two for Waterworth! Two for Linfield.

:05:43. > :05:47.The Linfield fans are certainly in full voice. It was a good stop

:05:48. > :05:54.initially from Burns. Following up was Waterworth. He gapbled. --

:05:55. > :05:56.gapbled. -- gambled. After scoring a hat-trick last week, Waterworth

:05:57. > :06:04.could be on course for another treble today. When you're hot,

:06:05. > :06:09.you're hot. This ball breaks to him. Once it breaks to Waterworth, eight

:06:10. > :06:13.yards out, just has to put his foot through it. Keeps his head. Never

:06:14. > :06:21.going to miss. The confidence of the first goal makes that an absolute

:06:22. > :06:25.gimme that chance. Arguably game, possibly, over. Coleraine a big task

:06:26. > :06:32.to get back into this. They've struggled so far. They now have a

:06:33. > :06:37.two-goal lead. They will play with more confidence now. That momentum,

:06:38. > :06:40.as I mentioned before, very much with Linfield. Very much with Andrew

:06:41. > :06:50.Waterworth. What a conclusion to the season he's had.

:06:51. > :07:01.Linfield looking very much like the Irish Cup is going to stay here at

:07:02. > :07:05.Windsor Park. That's probably five goals for Andrew Waterworth over the

:07:06. > :07:09.last 80 minutes of football. A hat-trick last week. Two in the

:07:10. > :07:14.first 32 minutes here. I think he scored two in the second half

:07:15. > :07:17.against Coleraine as well in the 5-1 victory the week before. He's

:07:18. > :07:23.certainly a player in form. You can see that. He's alive today.

:07:24. > :07:28.Sometimes you come into games and with that level of form he's in, he

:07:29. > :07:32.probably knew he was going to score today. First one, no problem. Close

:07:33. > :07:38.enough, dispatches it. Second one the same. He's put Linfield in a

:07:39. > :07:42.really strong position. They're not the most difficult finishes, but he

:07:43. > :07:44.took they very well and coolie. He was playing like a man who's full of

:07:45. > :07:49.confidence and enjoying his football more than ever. They're in the net

:07:50. > :07:53.before he's probably thought about it. He's playing off instinct. When

:07:54. > :07:57.you're confident, you don't look at things, don't think about it. His

:07:58. > :08:00.first one, OK, three yards out. You've still got to put it away.

:08:01. > :08:03.Sometimes they're as difficult as any other chance. Second one again,

:08:04. > :08:09.doesn't think about it. In the back of the net before anybody's even

:08:10. > :08:14.reacted. Linfield are playing with more confidence and I wouldn't be

:08:15. > :08:18.surprised to see them get a few more goals. Coleraine, they're trying to

:08:19. > :08:21.live with Linfield now who are a team obviously playing with huge

:08:22. > :08:25.confidence. It's 14 years since another Linfield player probably

:08:26. > :08:30.wearing the number seven scored a double in a Cup Final. They're the

:08:31. > :08:34.moments you savour, Chris, you scored two against Coleraine wearing

:08:35. > :08:37.number seven as well. When you look back in your career, are those the

:08:38. > :08:41.moments that stand out? Of course. There's nothing like it. It is the

:08:42. > :08:49.biggest game of the season. It's the games where you want to turn up and

:08:50. > :08:53.show what you can do. I think Peter Thomson might argue with you. He

:08:54. > :08:59.scored in a number of Cup Finals and scored twos. But we know these are

:09:00. > :09:04.the big occasions. You look for a big occasion player, Waterworth

:09:05. > :09:08.proved it last week. He's turned up again today and it's his goals that

:09:09. > :09:12.are the difference at the minute. Can Coleraine find a way back into

:09:13. > :09:16.this game? They need to score soon. If they don't, I could see Linfield

:09:17. > :09:20.just getting totally on top of the match. Yellow card for Aaron Burns

:09:21. > :09:28.following the challenge on Lyndon Kane. He seems to be clutching his

:09:29. > :09:33.jaw. Both players attacking the ball. What do you think? His arm's

:09:34. > :09:37.raised. It's a foul. It's a free kick. Probably a yellow card. I

:09:38. > :09:41.don't think there was anything overly sinister from Aaron Burns. He

:09:42. > :09:44.wasn't looking over his shoulder. He didn't see the player. Wasn't

:09:45. > :09:49.intending to catch him. I think Keith Kennedy has got it right. Thus

:09:50. > :09:58.far he's had a good game. Lyndon Kane down, getting a little bit of

:09:59. > :10:03.attention. What will Oran Kearney say at halftime? His side have been

:10:04. > :10:09.shell shocked in this first 37 minutes. A double in quick success

:10:10. > :10:17.from Andrew Waterworth. Those fans have certainly been ice lensed. # --

:10:18. > :10:19.silenced. They don't give up though. This Coleraine side have battled

:10:20. > :10:50.back many times this season. Well hit by McGonigle. Comfortably

:10:51. > :10:55.saved by Carroll. Can't work out whether he's offside or not. Hard to

:10:56. > :11:00.tell from that angle. A little bit more positive from a Coleraine

:11:01. > :11:05.perspective. They haven't panicked since the second goal went in. Just

:11:06. > :11:08.more than anything for these players to just settle a bit. Yeah, because

:11:09. > :11:14.the game can suddenly run away from you. They have a lot of young

:11:15. > :11:19.players. They've come into this game today with probably two or three

:11:20. > :11:23.nearly off and the season, they qualified for Europe, they achieved

:11:24. > :11:27.that goal early on. They started to play out fixtures. Linfield have had

:11:28. > :11:32.to play 100% every minute for the last six months probably or more.

:11:33. > :11:35.They've chased crusaders down and overturned that. Coleraine had a

:11:36. > :11:41.fantastic season. It's difficult to turn it back on. They had a pasting

:11:42. > :11:45.from Linfield, OK, a shadow team. That was two weeks ago. They have to

:11:46. > :12:14.get themselves rallied again. Suddenly Ogilby will drive forward

:12:15. > :12:17.and once a defensive situation, suddenly Linfield are in the final

:12:18. > :13:04.third and looking to create a chance.

:13:05. > :13:40.Throw-in. I don't think he was going to score from that distance.

:13:41. > :14:04.They're struggling get out. You saw that counterattack, if Burns had

:14:05. > :14:06.been able to get his head up quickly and switch the play, Smyth was in

:14:07. > :14:25.acres of space. Stopped by Roy Carroll. Callacher

:14:26. > :14:32.did his job. Don't know why he elected to take the shot on.

:14:33. > :14:36.Especially with Bradley inside him. Badly could have tried... Didn't

:14:37. > :14:43.really sit much for him on the left-hand side.

:14:44. > :14:48.He probably could have let it come across his body a bit more and fed

:14:49. > :14:57.it across or got a cleaner strike on it.

:14:58. > :15:02.It's been all Linfield in the opening period. Andrew Waterworth

:15:03. > :15:13.with two so far. Can Coleraine kick back before the break.

:15:14. > :15:22.He almost tried to play the same ball as last year in the Cup final.

:15:23. > :15:31.There was not a lot on for him. His run was checked a little bit. Still

:15:32. > :15:35.a little bit of hope for Coleraine with Bradley, if they get him

:15:36. > :15:45.involved in the match. I think Mrs Coleraine's first corner kick of the

:15:46. > :15:50.game. -- I think this is Coleraine's. They took it short.

:15:51. > :15:55.Linfield are well set up to deal with set pieces. They have threats

:15:56. > :16:05.at the other end, big men with strength who will attack balls. It

:16:06. > :16:15.was a looping ball in and no real chance for that man Brad Lyons.

:16:16. > :16:27.He has been huge for them. His influence around the place. Saying

:16:28. > :16:34.how impressed he has been, for the player who has played at that level.

:16:35. > :16:42.Roy Carroll. He is not just here for a season to see what happens. He is

:16:43. > :16:54.not afraid to give people around him a rollicking. He is one of the key

:16:55. > :17:00.reasons they have a good defensive record this season.

:17:01. > :17:08.Decision-making again. Making bad decisions because they are in this

:17:09. > :17:19.situation they are in in the game. We saw him score, top corner, a few

:17:20. > :17:24.weeks ago, that nobody expected. Maybe looking at building an attack

:17:25. > :17:33.and feeding out wide to McGonigle when they get that option. In terms

:17:34. > :17:38.of options on the bench for Oran Kearney, from the attacking

:17:39. > :17:49.perspective, people like Parkhill, Allen. Two minutes of additional

:17:50. > :17:52.time being played. Will there be a sting in the tail in first half

:17:53. > :18:19.injury time? Is their time for one last chance

:18:20. > :18:25.is? Roy Carroll happy enough for a few more seconds. What will be said

:18:26. > :18:32.in the dressing room? Linfield, keep doing what we are doing. They are

:18:33. > :18:35.halfway there. They are in such an ascendancy you cannot see it being

:18:36. > :18:54.any different. McGonigle hammering it clear as far

:18:55. > :19:05.as Bradley. Bradley can't squeeze it through that space. Always going

:19:06. > :19:18.wide. It is difficult from that distance. At this stage of the half,

:19:19. > :19:34.he is probably happy enough. Oran Kearney has a big job now at

:19:35. > :19:39.half-time. Whether he needs to make a substitution. Can you see them

:19:40. > :19:44.getting back into the game? Scoring the next goal, that is important. It

:19:45. > :19:50.is huge in this game. They have to believe they can do it. If they

:19:51. > :19:54.score next, possibly. Andy Waterworth has made the difference

:19:55. > :20:01.so far, as David Healy walks into the dressing room, very content with

:20:02. > :20:08.the first 45 minutes. It has been Linfield's day so far. Number seven,

:20:09. > :20:17.the most important statistic, 2-0 ahead. We can go pitch side now.

:20:18. > :20:22.We are joined by the assistant manager William Murphy. You took

:20:23. > :20:26.people by surprise with the team selection, three attacking players.

:20:27. > :20:31.What was the thinking? You only get one chance in a cup final and we

:20:32. > :20:38.thought it was the right decision but it has proved to be the wrong

:20:39. > :20:43.decision. Second best all over the pitch. Hopefully at half-time we

:20:44. > :20:49.regroup the boys. If you score the next goal, you are back in the game.

:20:50. > :20:56.We have not started one bit. What will you say at half-time? I am on

:20:57. > :21:06.TV, I probably would not like to say! But may be a few hairdryers

:21:07. > :21:10.across the changing room. It is a big half-time team talk for Oran

:21:11. > :21:18.Kearney. Back to the studio. Thanks for your

:21:19. > :21:24.discretion, William Murphy. Can they turn it around? It will be

:21:25. > :21:29.difficult. Waterworth is torturing the back, especially the two centre

:21:30. > :21:34.halves. They do not know whether to get tight with him or stand-off and

:21:35. > :21:41.they are caught in no man's land. Standing off him, he has run them

:21:42. > :21:46.and ended up with two goals. If Coleraine are to come back they will

:21:47. > :21:51.have to sort that out. We will take a scalpel to it in a moment but are

:21:52. > :22:00.you in agreement, they have to make changes? There are options. I am not

:22:01. > :22:04.sure. I think there will be a change of mindset. Linfield came out

:22:05. > :22:11.positive and confident and looked like champions. Whether there was

:22:12. > :22:15.nervousness around Coleraine. We thought they were not getting tight

:22:16. > :22:19.enough quickly enough and were not winning first and second balls.

:22:20. > :22:27.There was authority about Linfield. And as Gary alluded to, the front

:22:28. > :22:31.four, great fluidity. On a personal note I am delighted for Andrew

:22:32. > :22:37.Waterworth. Brian McLaughlin and I brought him to the club. We will get

:22:38. > :22:45.to Andrew Waterworth in a moment but he was saying it has all been

:22:46. > :22:49.Linfield. No doubt, Linfield have dominated. Coleraine have not

:22:50. > :22:55.offered any resistance and the back four are all over the place, not

:22:56. > :22:58.marking tightly enough will stop if I was Oran Kearney I would have a

:22:59. > :23:07.pop at the players, looking to go a bit tighter. A great save from

:23:08. > :23:13.Johns. It was a confidence booster for the boy. Linfield were lucky the

:23:14. > :23:19.first in my opinion. Got it into the box and it took a deflection off

:23:20. > :23:25.McConnachie. Right into the path of Waterworth who is deadly inside the

:23:26. > :23:31.box. They are cantering along now and if Coleraine do not improve it

:23:32. > :23:38.could be 4-0. Burns had a chance, blocked by McConnachie. Talk us

:23:39. > :23:45.through these two stop a great ball into the box and he headed it back.

:23:46. > :23:56.This is Aaron Burns, is it? I thought it was a corner kick.

:23:57. > :24:04.Disappointed they did not score from there. And a chance. Surely he will

:24:05. > :24:11.be disappointed. Maybe he swings with the left foot and if he was

:24:12. > :24:18.facing goal it was in the back of the net. Waterworth comes into his

:24:19. > :24:23.own on the 23rd minute. Brian McLaughlin takes a lot of praise for

:24:24. > :24:29.signing Andrea Burk this demonstrates Linfield's fluidity.

:24:30. > :24:35.Giving him so much time and space and room. There was an unfortunate

:24:36. > :24:45.deflection into Andrew's path, but I am asking, where is the marking? Who

:24:46. > :24:52.is following up, Andrew Waterworth. A great touch by Aaron Burns. Again,

:24:53. > :24:55.the centre-backs not tight enough and the forwards actors. Chris

:24:56. > :25:09.Johns, it looked like the keeper did nothing wrong. -- and the forwards.

:25:10. > :25:16.Chris Johns has done nothing wrong. Waterworth was alive to the

:25:17. > :25:20.situation. You thought it might have been Bradley that was offside. I

:25:21. > :25:31.thought it was. McGonigle is just on. A good save, but it does not

:25:32. > :25:32.count, it was given as offside. Again, their chances were few and

:25:33. > :25:44.far between. This one, David, a half chance? But

:25:45. > :25:48.when we were discussing this during the game, we remarked it was the

:25:49. > :25:55.first real attempt on goal, notwithstanding the previous one

:25:56. > :26:02.offside. Oran Kearney is pondering, what do we have to do? Linfield are

:26:03. > :26:06.controlled, their movement is good. Coleraine seem to go back to front

:26:07. > :26:13.quickly and the ball is not held up top and they are not getting

:26:14. > :26:18.possession. It smacks of nerves. And maybe getting in at half-time, they

:26:19. > :26:23.will say, we have nothing to lose, let's go out and have a pop. If they

:26:24. > :26:32.are gung ho, they will be open to the counterattack. The international

:26:33. > :26:38.manager is now pitch side. Michael O'Neill joins us. You would

:26:39. > :26:42.be a millionaire with this place but it must be nice to be here without

:26:43. > :26:47.the pressure of having to win the game yourself? It is always nice. It

:26:48. > :26:52.is fitting the Cup final is played in a stadium of this calibre. There

:26:53. > :26:59.is a good crowd here and Linfield have responded. What memories do you

:27:00. > :27:04.have, the 2003 final? We were beaten back day by Coleraine. We were going

:27:05. > :27:10.for a clean sweep of trophies but on the day they deserved to win. It is

:27:11. > :27:20.mixed. The following year I was injured and Glentoran won the Cup.

:27:21. > :27:24.But the minute, the Cup looks like it is going to Linfield. I think

:27:25. > :27:31.Coleraine have not really got started. Waterworth has been very

:27:32. > :27:36.good. Smyth and Burns have been good. All the best players have been

:27:37. > :27:41.in Linfield shirts and Coleraine need to get a reaction, get a goal

:27:42. > :27:47.back early in the second half, otherwise Linfield will win the game

:27:48. > :27:53.easily. Were you surprised by the decision to start with the three-man

:27:54. > :27:57.strikeforce by Oran Kearney? It is a bold move. He might have to consider

:27:58. > :28:05.it because they are being overrun in the middle, particularly the wide

:28:06. > :28:11.players. They are at the point of a game where they have to go for it.

:28:12. > :28:16.They need to get a goal back as early as they can. Azerbaijan in a

:28:17. > :28:20.month, are you feeling confident? It will be a tough game, it is

:28:21. > :28:25.difficult because of the distance we have to travel, and the time of the

:28:26. > :28:29.year makes it difficult. We are in good form and good shape and we know

:28:30. > :28:35.the significance of three points and I hope between now and the end of

:28:36. > :28:40.the season, everybody comes through injury free. Three pipes would be

:28:41. > :28:45.nice -- three points would be nice to head into the holidays. The next

:28:46. > :28:49.game away is San Marino and then we have big games coming up in

:28:50. > :28:56.September, October, but the key thing is to keep momentum, and keep

:28:57. > :28:57.clean sheets, as well. Michael O'Neill, thanks for joining us.

:28:58. > :29:07.Back to the studio. I seem to recall as a 16,

:29:08. > :29:19.17-year-old, he started out life at Coleraine. Will Northern Ireland

:29:20. > :29:28.qualified for World Cup? No. Yes. Yes. Thanks for your brutal honesty!

:29:29. > :29:33.Three wise men here. Put your managerial hat on. Marty, if you are

:29:34. > :29:39.David Healy, do you say you are happy with 2-0? If you are Oran

:29:40. > :29:44.Kearney, do you say if we go three down, the wheels will come off but

:29:45. > :29:52.conversely we might as well lose four, five than two? Keep it going,

:29:53. > :29:57.same again, and we ran out easy winners because Coleraine have

:29:58. > :30:01.offered no resistance. Oran Kearney might need to make a couple of

:30:02. > :30:08.changes with a couple of players not living up to expectations.

:30:09. > :30:14.McLaughlin and McGonigle do not look as fit as they could be. I am told

:30:15. > :30:18.young McGonigle had a bit of an injury so maybe make a couple of

:30:19. > :30:23.changes. They need to get something out of the game and early otherwise

:30:24. > :30:29.it will collapse around them and it will be an easy counter for Linfield

:30:30. > :30:33.and they could look at more goals. I am concerned about the defensive

:30:34. > :30:38.duties of the Coleraine defenders. There is too much room to be got in.

:30:39. > :30:44.They need to close that down. They need to be more competitive in the

:30:45. > :30:51.middle. Somebody will have to get a feud tackles. Coleraine have not won

:30:52. > :30:55.any thing in the first 45 minutes. I have not seen anybody challenging

:30:56. > :31:02.for balls, I have not seen anybody win a header. They have only given

:31:03. > :31:11.about 50%. I can distil that into David Healy can stick, does Oran

:31:12. > :31:16.Kearney have to go forward? the luxury of sticking. You know, we're

:31:17. > :31:20.all good players if we get space and time. If you go and press it, maybe

:31:21. > :31:25.you'll force a mistake and win the ball higher up the pitch and get

:31:26. > :31:30.Bradley behind with pace, McGonigle or even number seven, McCauley in

:31:31. > :31:34.behind as well. They're three dangerous players. They need to

:31:35. > :31:37.start winning the ball higher up the pitch, they're giving them too much

:31:38. > :31:41.time in their own half so they are able to release players. McCauley on

:31:42. > :31:45.an yellow card. The last thing they need is to go down to ten. Linfield

:31:46. > :31:55.are controlling this. Coleraine have got to come at them. The question is

:31:56. > :32:00.Stephen Douglas, McCafferty, they've got to be changed surely. As a

:32:01. > :32:05.player, Irish Cup final day, you don't want a poor day. You feel

:32:06. > :32:09.terrible. You feel awful. In the first instance, Oran has two

:32:10. > :32:13.choices: Is he zies of at this point. What would you do? I would

:32:14. > :32:17.get hold of the players and saying fellows we haven't been here for X

:32:18. > :32:21.amount of years, we've done fantastically well to get here, I

:32:22. > :32:27.would refer to the game against us where they were so imperious. I

:32:28. > :32:31.would remind the players you've come here to Windsor Park and beaten

:32:32. > :32:36.Linfield 1-0. We haven't turned up. Let's get in their faces, go at

:32:37. > :32:39.them. Let's see if you can redeem yourselves so you give that group

:32:40. > :32:42.their ten, maybe 15 minutes, can they get something going. If it

:32:43. > :32:46.doesn't, then after 15 minutes, then you make your changes. You bring

:32:47. > :32:51.Parkhill on, McGonigle through the centre, where he can use his pace a

:32:52. > :32:55.bit more. It's Brad Lyons who has a heavy knee strapping, maybe there's

:32:56. > :32:58.a change there. In the first instance, you're appealing to their

:32:59. > :33:01.emotions. The Coleraine players haven't come here to play not to

:33:02. > :33:06.perform. They will feel down. Challenge them. William Murphy said

:33:07. > :33:11.a poignant thing, 2-0 is a funny score line, I haven't a clue why it

:33:12. > :33:17.is, but we all say that. The next goal is most important. If Coleraine

:33:18. > :33:20.get it, will Linfield get the jitters. If Linfield get it, it

:33:21. > :33:24.could be four, five on the day. Any danger that Linfield will say,

:33:25. > :33:28.that's it. The treble's in the bag now and they might just let up and

:33:29. > :33:31.take the eye off the ball, because Coleraine for the last ten minutes

:33:32. > :33:34.of that first half did play themselves back into it. No, I can't

:33:35. > :33:39.see that happening. I think they've enough experience in the team to

:33:40. > :33:43.drive on. Roy Carroll at the back isn't going to let people get on top

:33:44. > :33:46.of him. You're going to be looking at Jamie Mulgrew with the vast

:33:47. > :33:59.experience he has to motivate and drive them on. Andrew Waterworth up

:34:00. > :34:03.front, they're not going to accept a below-par performance. It's looking

:34:04. > :34:07.like one, two, three, Linfield, Linfield, Linfield. Anybody brave

:34:08. > :34:12.enough to tip Coleraine? Not at the minute. No, I don't think. So

:34:13. > :34:15.Linfield are in total control and totally dominant. It's going to be

:34:16. > :34:18.difficult, you can see Jamie Mulgrew out there. Linfield are back out

:34:19. > :34:23.there. Oran Kearney also back out there. There is Andrew Waterworth,

:34:24. > :34:27.hat-trick last week. Secured the Gibson cup and he is potentially on

:34:28. > :34:32.yet another hat-trick. I think we can almost pick the man of the match

:34:33. > :34:36.at halftime. Let's see if Coleraine have anything in the tank. Can they

:34:37. > :34:42.bring anything to the table. Let's go back to our match commentary

:34:43. > :34:46.team. COMMENTATOR: Thank you very much,

:34:47. > :34:53.Mark. Yes, you mention Andrew Waterworth also scored two in the

:34:54. > :34:57.2013 Cup Final for Glentoran against Linfield. We haven't had a hit trick

:34:58. > :35:03.in a Cup Final since 1969. He might be chasing a bit of history there.

:35:04. > :35:10.Coleraine out very, very early. No changes at halftime. Still waiting

:35:11. > :35:22.for Jimmy Callacher. He's made his way onto the field. Surprised no

:35:23. > :35:26.changes? A little bit yeah. David was talking there, maybe give 15

:35:27. > :35:29.minutes and if they don't respond maybe make some changes. They need

:35:30. > :35:34.to get back in the game. He's looking at vpg the attacking threats

:35:35. > :35:39.of McLaughlin, McGonigle and Bradley high up the pitch. It is now or

:35:40. > :35:41.never for Coleraine. 45 minutes, they have to try and find a way back

:35:42. > :35:59.into this game. A good start to this second half

:36:00. > :36:05.crucial for Oran Kearney's side. You mentioned the run that Linfield were

:36:06. > :36:08.on. Coleraine hadn't an astonishing period between the new year and when

:36:09. > :36:13.they secured that third place in European football. OK they took

:36:14. > :36:19.their foot off the gas the last couple of games, beaten by

:36:20. > :36:23.crusaders. But until that point, they were outstanding as Bradley

:36:24. > :36:36.clashes with Lowry. Windsor Park looking fantastic, it

:36:37. > :36:43.has to be said today. Flicked on by Burns. Big match feel. Big match

:36:44. > :36:50.occasion. Town against country. The supporters have come out to follow

:36:51. > :36:55.their respective teams. A third goal for Linfield really

:36:56. > :37:01.would kill the game. They've got a corner kick any way. Linfield have

:37:02. > :37:11.just picked up this half as they finished the first half. I do think

:37:12. > :37:13.set pieces from this side they look more dangerous because Quinn's

:37:14. > :37:32.delivery superb. Good goal keeping from Johns after

:37:33. > :37:33.the first half, where he was on a couple of occasions crowded out by

:37:34. > :37:50.Linfield players. Momentarily it looked as if that was

:37:51. > :37:55.going to run all the way through to McLaughlin. But it was Roy Carroll

:37:56. > :38:06.off his line quickly, took control of the situation. It's again a poor

:38:07. > :38:11.decision from McGonigle. He's neither shot nor crossed there.

:38:12. > :38:24.It's all a bit predictable at times for Coleraine.

:38:25. > :38:31.Especially those long balls into Bradley and McLaughlin they're the

:38:32. > :38:34.sort of balls that Stafford and Callacher will love to defend.

:38:35. > :38:38.That's where their strengths are. Start playing balls down the side of

:38:39. > :38:40.them and they have to turn to their own goal. Defenders don't like that.

:38:41. > :39:08.Opportunity now for McCauley. I'm surprised Waterworth made the

:39:09. > :39:09.run into the channel there. I'm surprised he didn't just leave

:39:10. > :39:23.himself in the box. That shot stung the palms of Johns.

:39:24. > :39:32.Good strike. Quick thinking on the set piece. Clarke just stepped in

:39:33. > :39:33.there. No coal rab defender -- Coleraine defender sensed the

:39:34. > :39:45.danger. They're not alive to the throw-in.

:39:46. > :39:50.They've gone to sleep. That's basic stuff that you should always be,

:39:51. > :39:51.defenders need to be constantly aware of potential danger. They're

:39:52. > :40:04.not seeing that. I'm sure Oran Kearney at halftime

:40:05. > :40:09.would have wanted some kind of a response from his players, some kind

:40:10. > :40:15.of spark just to kickstart a comeback. It hasn't really happened

:40:16. > :40:18.so far. Still has a very tentative look about them when they pick up

:40:19. > :40:22.possession. McCauley picked it up and you expect him to go at a

:40:23. > :40:25.player, to be direct. He turned and laid it back to Mullin. Somebody's

:40:26. > :40:33.got to be brave and try to make something happen.

:40:34. > :40:42.He's won a corner kick. That's better. He committed the defender,

:40:43. > :40:48.dropped the shoulder. That's his strength, taking plards on. And

:40:49. > :40:52.crucially the supporters behind the goal, suddenly a roar. They are

:40:53. > :40:53.trying to lift their side as well. Yeah, they'll respond to what's

:40:54. > :40:59.happening. Super challenge by Lyons to

:41:00. > :41:20.momentarily stop the counterattack. Paul Smyth tried to get goal side of

:41:21. > :41:27.Mullin, hauled down. That's going to be another booking. Actually what

:41:28. > :41:32.Smyth, did he pull first of all? There's no doubt that Mullin pulled

:41:33. > :41:38.his shirt afterwards. He goes into the book. An, hauled down. That's

:41:39. > :41:41.going to be another booking. Actually what Smyth, did he pull

:41:42. > :41:43.first of all? There's no doubt that Mullan pulled his shirt afterwards.

:41:44. > :41:46.He goes into the book. Worse from a Coleraine perspective, is that there

:41:47. > :41:49.are few better players in the Irish League for this kind of situation

:41:50. > :41:57.than Niall Quinn. It's going to go in with decent pace.

:41:58. > :42:04.Callacher and Haughey, jotling for position.

:42:05. > :42:19.-- jostling. Jostling Good ball in. Callacher got his head

:42:20. > :42:23.to it. Couldn't hit the target. Good delivery again. They know what's

:42:24. > :42:28.going to happen, still very, very difficult to stop it. Goalkeeper

:42:29. > :42:30.just gets caught. He's coming for a ball and it's caught underneath it

:42:31. > :42:54.again. Just hasn't been Coleraine's day

:42:55. > :43:00.from an attacking perspective. That's a perfect example. Suddenly

:43:01. > :43:06.that roar from the supporters. They've waited a long, long time for

:43:07. > :43:11.an effort on goal. They sense that this could be when Coleraine get the

:43:12. > :43:18.breakthrough. Well taken though by Roy Carroll.

:43:19. > :43:21.Here's another look at it. Bradley's effort was deflected.

:43:22. > :43:26.McGonigle couldn't strike it goalwards. Just as it looked like it

:43:27. > :43:32.was going to fall for McCauley, it was hammered clear.

:43:33. > :43:37.Windsor Park is rocking. I mentioned the Coleraine supporters a moment

:43:38. > :43:44.ago. Linfield fans have been in full voice as well. Linfield have won a

:43:45. > :43:52.free kick. Just led with the elbow Ogilby.

:43:53. > :44:00.Coleraine fans are working hard for their team. Attacking that goal will

:44:01. > :44:10.give them a bit of belief. We said that the next goal is so important

:44:11. > :44:11.in this game. Linfield started quite strongly.

:44:12. > :44:24.Coleraine have come back into it. It almost worked out for Paul Smyth.

:44:25. > :44:26.I think Mark Stafford has been working on his flicks given what

:44:27. > :44:41.he's been doing. In the a tall player, but he

:44:42. > :44:53.certainly enjoys flying in with a few challenges. He nearly overturned

:44:54. > :44:56.a situation. Ogilby gets away from him, but Smith doesn't give him a

:44:57. > :45:02.moment. He's working hard and snapping his heelles. Starting to

:45:03. > :45:09.talk about the amount of times he went to games as a kid, David Healy.

:45:10. > :45:15.He remembers the 1995 game between Linfield and Carrick. Linfield won

:45:16. > :45:18.3-1. He remembers going to the oval at that stage. Remembers being in

:45:19. > :45:22.England and watching The Cup Final on TV. Recalls your two goals as

:45:23. > :45:31.well. Back in 2000 his cousin was playing

:45:32. > :45:34.for Glentoran. When he arrived at Linfield manager, people said he

:45:35. > :45:38.never played in the Irish League, but he certainly enjoyed watching it

:45:39. > :45:42.from afar. He talked about going to games on Boxing Day between Linfield

:45:43. > :45:48.and Glentoran. He's justified it with what he's achieved this year.

:45:49. > :46:02.He had a clear interest. A notable Linfield van. -- fan. He has played

:46:03. > :46:07.at a high level. He knows football. That was the criticism levelled at

:46:08. > :46:13.him when he went on the bad run and lost games. It hurt him. You could

:46:14. > :46:17.see the significance of comments when they won the league. He was

:46:18. > :46:22.almost saying to everybody who criticised him, I have done it, I

:46:23. > :46:28.have won this lead with these players. There is no doubt he was

:46:29. > :46:33.always respected. There is always pressure on any Linfield manager to

:46:34. > :46:38.deliver and win games and win trophies and he has achieved that.

:46:39. > :46:43.It will make things easier for him but there will still be pressure

:46:44. > :46:48.next season. Yes, they demand success at Windsor Park and nobody

:46:49. > :46:53.knows that better than David Jeffrey, in the studio, who was

:46:54. > :46:58.untouchable during his time here. They found it difficult

:46:59. > :47:02.understandably to replace him. And speaking of replacements, Coleraine

:47:03. > :47:09.are making the change. Parkhill is coming on. You would expect this

:47:10. > :47:15.will mean McGonigle will go through the middle and Parkhill taking up

:47:16. > :47:20.the spot on the right. He has to get into a defensive situation now,

:47:21. > :47:24.making the long run. You are taking off a striker but I think McGonigle

:47:25. > :47:34.will go down the middle, giving Linfield a different problem. It

:47:35. > :47:39.will be interesting to see if they can get McGonigle into the game now.

:47:40. > :47:45.Parkhill is a tireless worker and an unsung hero of the Coleraine side.

:47:46. > :47:52.Unlucky to miss out this time but Oran Kearney went for a different

:47:53. > :48:00.formation, attacking. A slight change with Parkhill coming on. Will

:48:01. > :48:05.it work out as Quinn attacked at the other end. A super ball in.

:48:06. > :48:17.Smyth tried a little trick. But away by McConaghie.

:48:18. > :48:25.A crucial period of the game. For Coleraine. They need something to

:48:26. > :48:36.happen to get back into this cup final.

:48:37. > :48:42.Haughey found Aaron Burns. That was a super challenge from Harkin. Just

:48:43. > :49:00.did enough. Coleraine on the break. He paused and gave time for Linfield

:49:01. > :49:10.to get numbers back. McGonigle, over the top. It was a half chance. It

:49:11. > :49:15.comes as in quickly and he is unfortunately not able to direct it.

:49:16. > :49:20.The first cross comes in and is flicked on. It was instinctive. His

:49:21. > :49:28.reaction says it all. He knows how good an opportunity it was. A

:49:29. > :49:37.brilliant challenge from Harkin. The cross. From Quinn. But it is opened

:49:38. > :49:48.again. McCauley trying to set Bradley on his way. He has to look

:49:49. > :49:52.at the situation better, McCauley. Bradley had run into the near

:49:53. > :49:56.channel and he tried to sweep it to the far side. I am sure Oran Kearney

:49:57. > :50:02.at half-time would have said, this is your time to shine, do not let

:50:03. > :50:05.this cup final pass you by. In this second half, Coleraine have turned

:50:06. > :50:10.the screw and maybe gambled more than in the first half.

:50:11. > :50:16.They are starting to play. You do not want to come to a cup final and

:50:17. > :50:19.have regrets after. They will have a view about the first half but they

:50:20. > :50:31.have the chance in the second half to rectify it.

:50:32. > :50:41.In the end he conceded the throwing. He has already made one swap.

:50:42. > :50:56.Oran Kearney might be considering another. His side need goals.

:50:57. > :51:03.McGonigle going past one, passed two, but could not get past the

:51:04. > :51:13.third. Should have played it to McCauley.

:51:14. > :51:19.We have not witnessed too much in an attacking sense from Stephen Lowry.

:51:20. > :51:27.Smyth, it worked out for him initially but Harkin was back. Smyth

:51:28. > :51:32.winning another free kick. Again it is the never say die attitude. He

:51:33. > :51:39.lost the ball and battles to win it back. So quick. It looked like

:51:40. > :51:44.Harkin was in front and suddenly Smyth started back around him. He

:51:45. > :51:59.does not give defenders a minute. He has so many qualities, he is

:52:00. > :52:03.direct. He will take on defenders. He has supposedly a nasty side,

:52:04. > :52:07.maybe that is too strong a word but you made the point he does not shirk

:52:08. > :52:12.away from the physical side, as well. And he gave his side an

:52:13. > :52:15.opportunity to attack the Coleraine goal once again. Going down fairly

:52:16. > :52:25.easily. This is it again. I do not see an

:52:26. > :52:36.awful lot. I think McGonigle was the closest to him. Mark Stafford has

:52:37. > :52:46.been a rock at the back for Linfield. Always takes control of

:52:47. > :52:47.the situation. This time, he is adjudged to have been climbing over

:52:48. > :53:11.McCauley. Brad Lyons has been hampered,

:53:12. > :53:15.perhaps, by that injury. Bradley tried to threaded through to

:53:16. > :53:16.McGonigle. McConnachie's go from distance is blocked by Stafford

:53:17. > :53:33.again. Sadly, Linfield are pinned back in

:53:34. > :53:37.their own half. Bradley goes down under the challenge of Callacher. He

:53:38. > :53:42.is brilliant at that, Bradley. He gets his body into position and

:53:43. > :53:47.waits for the contact. Knowing Eoin Bradley, he wore fancy this. He is

:53:48. > :53:56.going to have a go. It is a long way out. But he feels like he deserves

:53:57. > :54:01.this now. It suits a left footed player in terms of the angle but

:54:02. > :54:16.again, it is probably close to 30 yards out. I certainly would not be

:54:17. > :54:21.overly confident. Knowing Bradley, he would fancy this. He is that type

:54:22. > :54:27.of player, he thrives on the big stage. The wall did its job. He

:54:28. > :54:31.appeals for handball. Waved away by the officials, though. This is

:54:32. > :54:44.better from Coleraine. The flag was up on the far side, it

:54:45. > :54:54.was up late and Oran Kearney is not happy. My first instinct, McGonigle

:54:55. > :54:59.just got on the shoulder of Haughey. A decent pass, but the assistant has

:55:00. > :55:05.a better view then we have but at first instinct, I thought it was

:55:06. > :55:12.onside. I do not think the wall could have done anything. It was the

:55:13. > :55:20.reaction of the Coleraine players. They just need something to go their

:55:21. > :55:22.way, Coleraine, now. They have looked better having made the switch

:55:23. > :55:37.with Parkhill coming on for MacLachlan.

:55:38. > :56:06.Well won by the defender. Flicked on by Waterworth will stop it will be a

:56:07. > :56:11.yellow card for Gareth McConaghie. Waterworth loves getting into that

:56:12. > :56:22.position, when he picks the ball up deep and can really hurt players. It

:56:23. > :56:25.is a ball... He reacts quicker. There is no need for McConaghie to

:56:26. > :56:33.make that challenge. Waterworth will always get there first. He is

:56:34. > :56:39.flicking it on to nobody and the result is they get a free kick in a

:56:40. > :56:45.dangerous position. Maybe a little too far out for Niall Quinn. He is

:56:46. > :56:53.obviously thinking about it. He is probably 30 yards out. Niall Quinn,

:56:54. > :57:04.though, very good from these situations. Now it is the Linfield

:57:05. > :57:09.fans in full voice. Oran Kearney having a chat. Trying to figure out

:57:10. > :57:20.how they can influence this game and find a way back into this cup final.

:57:21. > :57:29.Niall Quinn, the 23-year-old. He started on the bench last year. He

:57:30. > :57:43.will really fancy this. He is a free kick specialist.

:57:44. > :57:49.Sometimes you look at it and think it is too far and he will have to

:57:50. > :57:54.work too hard and he certainly looks like he is trying to force it with

:57:55. > :57:59.that effort. Bradley used his strength again. Options left and

:58:00. > :58:05.right. McGonigle almost went past his man. That was a super challenge

:58:06. > :58:10.from Stafford, who took control of the situation as it looked like

:58:11. > :58:18.McGonigle was getting away from him. The best move from a Coleraine

:58:19. > :58:28.perspective of the game so far. It was an important chance. He cannot

:58:29. > :58:34.get it wrong. If you does, penalty. Joined up play from Harkin and

:58:35. > :58:40.Bradley. McGonigle, his first thought was to take the man on. He

:58:41. > :58:51.is causing problems because he is picking up different areas. Bradley

:58:52. > :58:56.with acres of room. That was a defender who got in the way.

:58:57. > :59:01.Directing it back into the hands of Roy Carroll. I think initially

:59:02. > :59:11.Haughey was down off the ball. It enabled Bradley to find space. He

:59:12. > :59:16.does well. He turned. Just before that Aaron Burns tried to flick won

:59:17. > :59:24.and lost possession. He is telling him, give us something to hold onto.

:59:25. > :59:31.Coleraine are getting a little bit of momentum. If they could sneak a

:59:32. > :59:38.goal, suddenly it becomes a different match. This is not over

:59:39. > :59:40.yet. Andrew Waterworth, a huge part he has played in this game. He did

:59:41. > :59:56.not give up on that one. One thing we noticed from the

:59:57. > :00:01.semifinal, Chris Johns, when he got on the ball, straightaway he was

:00:02. > :00:06.looking to pick out a player 50, 60 yards away. He has been more

:00:07. > :00:11.contained today, may reserved. Is it a case of Coleraine going for broke

:00:12. > :00:18.and committing men forward, let's try to take an opportunity to get a

:00:19. > :00:22.goal? They have two. At 69 minutes they need two. To take it to extra

:00:23. > :00:26.time. You could hope you could get one playing the same way and the

:00:27. > :00:32.game suddenly changed, but the longer the time goes on... And if

:00:33. > :00:37.you lose by two you might well lose by three. If they lose 2-0 and had a

:00:38. > :00:43.really good go, and were just unfortunate. That is OK, but if you

:00:44. > :00:48.do nothing different and keep hoping for the best, at some point, they

:00:49. > :00:53.will have to make a change. Throw more caution to the wind. You're

:00:54. > :01:01.right, it might be three, four then lose 2-0 and not have a real go. The

:01:02. > :01:08.only player they have of a attacking perspective from the bench is Jordan

:01:09. > :01:13.Allan. He is an out and out striker. You might well find that Coleraine

:01:14. > :01:19.have to go with Jordan Allan Bradley up top and see what happens.

:01:20. > :01:24.They could bring him on. He would dominate the midfield area.

:01:25. > :01:30.Certainly Jordan Allan will be thinking, give me a chance, put me

:01:31. > :01:35.on. We need a goal. That is the obvious change. If you just put

:01:36. > :01:36.three men up there, they will defend it easier. Sometimes you need

:01:37. > :01:48.different options. Going down under the challenge of

:01:49. > :01:55.Lowry. Lowry was fuming at Aaron Burns.

:01:56. > :02:01.Appeals for a handball following the challenge. Waved away by the

:02:02. > :02:11.referee. Interesting to look at that one. Decent first touch from

:02:12. > :02:18.Bradley. It did strike a hand but wasn't intentional. It hit his body

:02:19. > :02:21.first. Something is going on between Stafford and Bradley. Referee want

:02:22. > :02:33.to have a word with both of them. Just a talking to. Yeah, sensible

:02:34. > :02:39.refereeing. If it had hit his hand first, there would be a call for

:02:40. > :02:45.handball. You can argue that the arm is in April unnatural position, but

:02:46. > :02:46.once it plays his body first and ricochets, there's not much you can

:02:47. > :02:55.do. They could swap Paul Smyth, put him

:02:56. > :03:16.in the middle. The pace of Smyth. Another free

:03:17. > :03:20.kick. Lowry going into the book. He got away with one two minutes ago.

:03:21. > :03:29.The referee has decided this is the right time to book him. I think it's

:03:30. > :03:46.probably right. We're looking at the about Burns burn getting hold of it.

:03:47. > :03:52.Goes down under the challenge of Stafford. His arms were out. He

:03:53. > :03:57.feels it just hasn't been his day. Yeah, I'm not sure again. Sometimes

:03:58. > :04:03.it's just a physical challenge and one player goes down. Referees are

:04:04. > :04:05.very keen to give free kicks. I think they both went in and went to

:04:06. > :04:24.challenge for it. Almost every Coleraine player is

:04:25. > :04:35.huddled in and around the penalty area.

:04:36. > :04:45.In that situation, you've got to make the defenders work. Yeah utter

:04:46. > :04:48.frustration. It's understandable because you get opportunities for a

:04:49. > :04:55.free kick and into the box. You're right you've got to put it in and

:04:56. > :04:57.ask the question. To give it straight back to Linfield, that's

:04:58. > :05:03.what they want, pressure taken off again. Confirmation of that yellow

:05:04. > :05:08.card we spoke about a couple of moments ago. Stephen Lowry has been

:05:09. > :05:13.a superb player this year. Made the switch from Coleraine. Took a bit of

:05:14. > :05:17.time to settle here at Windsor Park. He's grown into the role. Yeah he

:05:18. > :05:25.has. And the combination of him and Mulgrew has been superb this season.

:05:26. > :06:05.They find the right balance in combination.

:06:06. > :06:12.It's not the worst ball. Into a decent area. But nobody just able to

:06:13. > :06:18.get on at the far post. Quarter of an hour left. So far it's been

:06:19. > :06:29.Linfield's day. So far Jamie Mulgrew's day. He powers past Lyons.

:06:30. > :06:30.Another player goes into the book. Probably the right decision from the

:06:31. > :06:45.referee. He was tempted to go into the

:06:46. > :06:50.challenge. Those are the occasions when you have to stay on your feet.

:06:51. > :06:52.He's been struggling with injury. He maybe hasn't given all-action

:06:53. > :06:55.performance that we're used to seeing from him. He's missed a lot

:06:56. > :06:59.of football. It's difficult coming back in. Especially when you've

:07:00. > :07:05.missed games and the intensity of this match. It's a big pitch at

:07:06. > :07:09.Windsor as well. He certainly hasn't played badly. Maybe just hasn't hit

:07:10. > :07:14.the heights he was hitting a couple of months ago. Certainly one of the

:07:15. > :07:20.most exciting players in the Irish League. Brad Lyons, a young man with

:07:21. > :07:27.a big future ahead of him. Still only 19. There's Jorell Johnson

:07:28. > :07:35.doing exactly what -- Chris Johns doing exactly what we talked about,

:07:36. > :07:41.the quick restarts. Nvment He does that so often, wins free kicks and

:07:42. > :07:45.turns to attack spaces. Low centre of gravity. Draws so many fouls.

:07:46. > :07:49.Perfect for Linfield 13 minutes to go now and just killing any momentum

:07:50. > :07:57.that Coleraine have been able to build up. The game becomes a bit

:07:58. > :08:03.stop-start. It's hard to pick up. Jamie has been reknew Nated in many

:08:04. > :08:07.ways under David Healy. He had his testimonial season last year at

:08:08. > :08:12.Windsor Park. As he shows in this example, he never gives up. He

:08:13. > :08:21.always gives an option. He's part of the starting 11. There was a feeling

:08:22. > :08:23.he had fallen out of favour. Now he's wearing the arm band is in the

:08:24. > :08:40.season of his career. A little bit hesitant. In the end

:08:41. > :08:46.that hesitation meant Linfield can get back in numbers. He was

:08:47. > :09:01.reluctant to come across his body and shoot with his right foot. Good

:09:02. > :09:14.play by McGonigle. We're about to enter the last ten minutes.

:09:15. > :09:20.The goalkeeper got in the way. Matthew Clarke in acres of space on

:09:21. > :09:34.the far side. Instead Coleraine on the attack.

:09:35. > :09:41.No real movement on the side line. Linfield are making a change. I

:09:42. > :09:47.think he is any way. I think they handed a paper over the fourth

:09:48. > :09:55.official. I think it could be Cameron Stewart getting the call.

:09:56. > :10:01.Would you expect Aaron Burns to be brought off or Paul Smyth. Could be

:10:02. > :10:09.Paul Smyth as well. He's missed football as well. Maybe just look to

:10:10. > :10:10.sure things up a little bit. Cameron Stewart offers a different type of

:10:11. > :10:28.threat. No card for the official. It looks

:10:29. > :10:38.as if Linfield won't be in a mad hurry. We do enter the last ten

:10:39. > :10:44.minutes of the game. 2-0 ahead. Two goals from Andrew Waterworth. After

:10:45. > :10:55.a remarkable season, David Healy's men could well be treble winners. It

:10:56. > :10:59.certainly looks that one unless there are late heroics from

:11:00. > :11:04.Coleraine. I think Jordan Allan is going to

:11:05. > :11:26.come on for Coleraine. Last throw of the dice.

:11:27. > :11:37.Smyth goes down under the challenge of Ogilby. A case of little and

:11:38. > :11:42.large. Ogilby and Smyth. That change coming up is going to be Aaron Burns

:11:43. > :11:50.sacrificed in place of Cameron Stewart.

:11:51. > :12:01.He makes his way off the field. Jordan Allan is set to come on for

:12:02. > :12:04.Coleraine. Ease going to replace McGonigle. A bit surprising that

:12:05. > :12:12.they're talking off a front player at this poipt. -- point. You'd think

:12:13. > :12:14.with just coming up to eight minutes of normal time left, we could have

:12:15. > :12:25.went three and hoped for the best. Eight minutes for Coleraine to find

:12:26. > :12:29.something. I think they'll be pleased with their performance in

:12:30. > :12:35.the second half. They've given it a bit a go. Yeah, they haven't been

:12:36. > :12:40.able to create too many chances but they've been at a higher intensity

:12:41. > :12:43.than the first half. If they look back on it, regrets will be in the

:12:44. > :12:56.first half. The thing that can't be forgotten is

:12:57. > :13:01.that it has been a fantastic campaign. Finishing third in the

:13:02. > :13:04.Premiership with so many young players, getting back into Europe,

:13:05. > :13:08.Oran Kearney and his players have a lot to be proud of this season.

:13:09. > :13:13.They've certainly achieved. It's been a successful season. They'll

:13:14. > :13:19.come away from this Cup Final, look like Linford are going to deservedly

:13:20. > :13:27.win the game today. The disappointment of losing this final,

:13:28. > :13:32.they can certainly look at a successful season as well. It has

:13:33. > :13:35.been a good year. With so many young players in theacle rain squad as

:13:36. > :13:47.well, it only bodes well for the future. I mention six starters under

:13:48. > :13:51.21. Don't think it's going to be Jimmy Nesbitt's day, having been

:13:52. > :13:57.such an integral part of the success in 2003. He'll be very, very proud

:13:58. > :14:03.of what his club have achieved this season.

:14:04. > :14:06.Hoping for more success in the future. Not only yet though. There's

:14:07. > :14:25.still time. Of -- still time. Linfield have pushed up in the last

:14:26. > :14:33.couple of minutes. Making it very difficult for Coleraine to put the

:14:34. > :14:38.defence under pressure. Not too many options. They go short to Allan. His

:14:39. > :14:46.flick doesn't work out. It is picked up by Waterworth. It's been

:14:47. > :14:55.quietened off in the second half after that electric 45 minutes.

:14:56. > :15:02.He works hard, Waterworth. Picked up the ball there and really just

:15:03. > :15:15.inside his own half. Coming up to the last five minutes

:15:16. > :15:22.and picking up a free kick. The day becomes stop and start and that

:15:23. > :15:29.suits them. In the danger area. Smyth! It was Niall Quinn who went

:15:30. > :15:36.close to making it three. It was a great delivery from Smyth. Again,

:15:37. > :15:43.Johns gets caught beneath it. Heading it down but to perfectly

:15:44. > :15:50.down because it goes over the bar. A yellow card for Eoin Bradley. That

:15:51. > :15:55.is following another tussle with Mark Stafford. It has been a

:15:56. > :16:03.frustrating day for Coleraine, overall. It just has not happened

:16:04. > :16:06.for them but as Chris says, certainly the second half

:16:07. > :16:11.performance is much improved. The damage was done in the first half.

:16:12. > :16:15.But the fans have enjoyed themselves regardless and fantastic to see so

:16:16. > :16:19.many young supporters here. Coleraine were given a guard of

:16:20. > :16:29.honour. The supporters turned up this morning to wish them well.

:16:30. > :16:34.Waterworth's go was blocked. There is a growing momentum around

:16:35. > :16:38.Coleraine. Bigger crowds, and they are enjoying the football being

:16:39. > :16:44.played and enjoying the fact it is young Coleraine players lining up

:16:45. > :16:55.for the local club. They will learn from this experience. They will come

:16:56. > :16:58.away with the obvious disappointment, but they will have

:16:59. > :17:04.enjoyed the experience and they will want more of these types of

:17:05. > :17:09.experiences. Certainly you can learn from defeat and how you respond and

:17:10. > :17:13.they are a young side. Speaking to the Linfield players and coaching

:17:14. > :17:21.staff, over the past week, it hurts them losing last year against

:17:22. > :17:35.Glenavon. Paul Smyth on the attack. Waterworth! He secures a hat-trick.

:17:36. > :17:40.He will leave with the match ball. Linfield will leave with the Irish

:17:41. > :17:49.Cup. It is the first hat-trick in an Irish Cup decider since Billy

:17:50. > :17:57.McIlroy in 1969. Andy Waterworth has rewritten the history books. From

:17:58. > :18:04.one goal-scorer to another, David Healy can now enjoy the moment.

:18:05. > :18:11.Super play by Paul Smyth. He kept his head up and picked out the run

:18:12. > :18:17.of Waterworth in the middle. That was the cherry on top. Andy's eyes

:18:18. > :18:20.would have lit up as the move developed because Coleraine had been

:18:21. > :18:30.caught. The ball in behind for Smyth. Waterworth's pace would

:18:31. > :18:38.always win him front post position. He is not going to miss that. Great

:18:39. > :18:44.play by Smyth. Waterworth banking a hat-trick and putting himself in the

:18:45. > :18:49.history books. Paul Smyth being replaced by Chris Casement. I think

:18:50. > :18:54.that is well done to Paul Smyth by the manager David Healy. He deserves

:18:55. > :19:01.the ovation he got coming off the pitch. That is something he has

:19:02. > :19:05.improved, Paul Smyth, the end product, getting his head up. You

:19:06. > :19:11.see players in that position many times, and you talk about players in

:19:12. > :19:15.the English Premiership, they get into positions and make bad

:19:16. > :19:20.decisions, play simple passes and get them wrong. Smyth has twice got

:19:21. > :19:27.into areas. The first one, a deflection, but he lifted his head

:19:28. > :19:30.and put it is a good area. That looks easy from here, but in a

:19:31. > :19:40.pressure situation it becomes difficult. 30 goals this season for

:19:41. > :19:48.Andy Waterworth. What a way to conclude the campaign. I do not

:19:49. > :19:54.think there will be too much argument over the Man of the Match.

:19:55. > :20:02.That is the graphic picked by our panel. Andy Waterworth, Man of the

:20:03. > :20:08.Match. A hat-trick for him. A day to remember for Waterworth. He is 31

:20:09. > :20:18.and he has won the Irish Cup before, but this time might the extra sweet.

:20:19. > :20:34.Harkin winning the free kick. Andy Waterworth's name has just been

:20:35. > :20:41.mentioned over the tannoy. As the fourth official indicates there will

:20:42. > :20:46.be three additional minutes. They will seem like three hours for the

:20:47. > :20:53.Coleraine players, but it will be three minutes to savour for

:20:54. > :21:00.Linfield. It has been their day, it has been their season. They can now

:21:01. > :21:12.play champion football. Every single pass is being cheered. It is a day

:21:13. > :21:18.the fans love being a part of, so to the players. From the suits, to the

:21:19. > :21:27.breakfasts, to the celebrations. It is a showpiece occasion. Chris

:21:28. > :21:31.Casement found space, but that touch let him down. A brilliant period of

:21:32. > :21:38.play from Linfield. They seem determined to get a fourth.

:21:39. > :21:44.Coleraine's legs have probably gone and their heads have rather bleak,

:21:45. > :21:49.as well. Linfield are playing with lots of confidence. Coleraine

:21:50. > :22:00.probably just want the whistle to go. They will be glad to get the

:22:01. > :22:08.game over with at this point. From a Linfield perspective, they lost here

:22:09. > :22:12.on the 3rd of January two Coleraine. At that stage, most people thought

:22:13. > :22:19.the race for the title was over at that early stage. They have won 18,

:22:20. > :22:25.19 games in the league and have gone on this cup run. They won the

:22:26. > :22:29.shields. What can you say about this Linfield squad from the turn of the

:22:30. > :22:38.year till now? It has been practically perfect. One blot was

:22:39. > :22:43.the game at Portadown. It has been an incredible run and they deserve

:22:44. > :22:47.the credit. To win a treble in any season... There are four trophies to

:22:48. > :22:53.go for and to win three is a fantastic season. The domestic

:22:54. > :22:59.double is an unbelievable achievement. To come from the

:23:00. > :23:10.position they were in. They kept going and going. Great belief and

:23:11. > :23:14.confidence has come. That belief has to come from within and David Healy

:23:15. > :23:19.has to take a lot of credit. Of course he does, as do the players.

:23:20. > :23:25.They are the ones who have to go out and win the games and keep going and

:23:26. > :23:33.going. It has been an incredible five months from January until now.

:23:34. > :23:39.They have been relentless. They are deserved champions and they deserve

:23:40. > :23:49.to win the day. 3-0 and a deserved 3-0. I think the referee has his

:23:50. > :23:53.whistle, he is ready to call it a day. And Linfield and Andy

:23:54. > :24:01.Waterworth can start the celebrations. A shake off the hands

:24:02. > :24:06.between both sets of management teams, but Linfield are top of the

:24:07. > :24:10.tree once again. They have dominated the season in local football. He

:24:11. > :24:18.will dominate the headlines tomorrow. A trio of finishes from

:24:19. > :24:28.Andy Waterworth. The hurt from last year will be replaced by the joy and

:24:29. > :24:36.elation of 2017. Heartbreak for Coleraine. It was not to be their

:24:37. > :24:40.day. But what a season for Oran Kearney's side. European football

:24:41. > :24:50.will beckon next year. His young squad still have plenty to offer.

:24:51. > :24:56.But Andy Waterworth, the hero for Linfield. Their number seven, 30

:24:57. > :25:03.goals this season. He goes straight towards the Linfield fans. They have

:25:04. > :25:11.deserved it, Chris. They produced on the big day. No doubt they were the

:25:12. > :25:16.better team. 2-0 up at half-time, the job was pretty much done. But a

:25:17. > :25:22.contained second-half performance and your reference to the cherry on

:25:23. > :25:30.the cake, Waterworth's third goal. To score a hat-trick in a cup final,

:25:31. > :25:36.and last week. What an incredible season for him. Scoring those goals

:25:37. > :25:40.but they have won three medals. Certainly he and all these players

:25:41. > :25:46.will look back on this season with great memories and happiness.

:25:47. > :25:53.Waterworth has certainly delivered on the big day but spare a thought

:25:54. > :25:59.for the Coleraine players and fans. They have gone towards their home

:26:00. > :26:07.fans but the final score, 3-0, Linfield.

:26:08. > :26:15.We have the Man of the Match here. Congratulations, how does it feel? I

:26:16. > :26:19.am on top of the world. After last week's celebrations, I thought I

:26:20. > :26:26.overcooked it a little bit because I felt bad in that game today. But to

:26:27. > :26:30.win a trouble this year, is great. I love the Irish Cup, it has been good

:26:31. > :26:40.to me. What do you remember about the goals? I got across the front,

:26:41. > :26:44.the last two times I didn't. Well done by young Paul Smyth, who

:26:45. > :26:50.assisted me twice today. I got across the front. The third one,

:26:51. > :26:56.Paul Smyth did all the work and I got there in the end. It is a great

:26:57. > :27:01.feeling and I am delighted for the fans. I am delighted for the manager

:27:02. > :27:07.and players. You have won the Cup before, but what does it mean to win

:27:08. > :27:15.it with Linfield after a barren spell? It has been hard going. The

:27:16. > :27:20.boys have felt it. In Linfield, you live in the shadow of former past

:27:21. > :27:27.glories and it is nice to put it right and hopefully we can push on

:27:28. > :27:31.now. You can step out of the shadows any day but eight in three games,

:27:32. > :27:42.you must be wishing the summer was postponed. I feel like Benjamin

:27:43. > :27:46.Button. I hope it continues. Commiserations to Coleraine. I know

:27:47. > :27:51.how it is to lose in an Irish Cup final but I am sure they will be

:27:52. > :27:55.back stop I am sure it will be the best thing for them. Last year we

:27:56. > :28:01.were beaten and it was the best thing for us. Can your team kick on

:28:02. > :28:09.and rule the roost? I think that is what we are feeling. Winning this

:28:10. > :28:14.year. That is what was needed, the experience and maturity. I think we

:28:15. > :28:19.have that and we want to kick on now, we do not want to rest on our

:28:20. > :28:24.laurels. I am proud to be in this club and I want to win trophies and

:28:25. > :28:29.hopefully that continues. We have kept you away from celebrations long

:28:30. > :28:33.enough. Congratulations, you are Man of the Match.

:28:34. > :28:41.Back to the studio. They are singing, and well they might be.

:28:42. > :28:47.One, two, three for Andy Waterworth. And one, two, three for the Blues,

:28:48. > :28:54.landing the treble and David Healy following the of David Jeffrey. They

:28:55. > :29:00.deserved it. I am delighted for David Healy and for the players.

:29:01. > :29:04.Those people may be doubting David at one part of the season, words of

:29:05. > :29:10.encouragement were always there for him but he has done tremendously

:29:11. > :29:16.well. Very much the siege mentality, which is what you have to do. The

:29:17. > :29:22.reality is that if you do not love and support Linfield, you do not

:29:23. > :29:27.particularly like them. Roy Carroll. He has done a fabulous job. He is a

:29:28. > :29:31.history maker but what he brought today was phenomenal. He did not

:29:32. > :29:36.really have anything to do but he had such an influence on the game

:29:37. > :29:46.and when Coleraine came into it. There is big Gary. The kit man. I am

:29:47. > :29:52.delighted for him. Roy Carroll joins Billy Scott, the Linfield keeper in

:29:53. > :29:56.1902, Jackie Milburn and Delaney. I think we can hear from Jamie Mulgrew

:29:57. > :30:00.the skipper. You are right, the winning captain

:30:01. > :30:06.Jamie Mulgrew. What does it feel like to get your hands on the Cup

:30:07. > :30:11.again? Very special. We knew what we had to do today. Against a very good

:30:12. > :30:17.Coleraine side. If we did not perform the way we have, in the past

:30:18. > :30:22.19 games, we would have had egg on our face. I thought in the first

:30:23. > :30:27.half we hit the ground running and took advantage of our dominance. How

:30:28. > :30:33.much has that momentum helps you the last couple of games? Winning the

:30:34. > :30:39.league in dramatic circumstances, it must give you huge confidence?

:30:40. > :30:43.Absolutely. The run has been incredible and confidence is a

:30:44. > :30:49.massive thing in sport. We have that in abundance at the minute. From the

:30:50. > :30:53.results and the run we have been on. We have grown together as a team

:30:54. > :31:00.after disappointment last year. We have learned from disappointments. A

:31:01. > :31:04.word for the manager who got stick early in the season but he has had a

:31:05. > :31:11.good season, the treble to finish with. What influence has he been?

:31:12. > :31:18.The evidence is there. We have won three trophies and it shows the

:31:19. > :31:22.influence on us as a squad. He and the staff work incredibly hard and

:31:23. > :31:27.they expect us to work incredibly hard and we have done that. He set

:31:28. > :31:34.the work ethic and we have bounced off that and bought into it. Just

:31:35. > :31:41.before you go, how does this compare to the cups you have won before?

:31:42. > :31:48.They are all very special. I could not pick out any to be my number

:31:49. > :31:53.one. All I can say is I am fortunate enough to have won trophies here,

:31:54. > :31:58.with many great players and been managed by very good managers. I am

:31:59. > :31:59.thankful for that. I will let you prepare your victory speech. David

:32:00. > :32:11.Healy. David, congratulations. That must be

:32:12. > :32:16.pretty sweet. It is. Considering the way we performed in last year's

:32:17. > :32:19.final, we knew underachieved. It was all about redemption this week.

:32:20. > :32:22.Sometimes in football you don't ever get the opportunity to redeem

:32:23. > :32:27.yourselves in Cup Finals. Fortunately for us, because these

:32:28. > :32:31.players are good enough, we gave ourselves an opportunity after 12

:32:32. > :32:35.months, nearly to the day, to give a performance like that. By far and

:32:36. > :32:42.away I thought we were the better side today. From minute one, second

:32:43. > :32:46.half it became a wee bit scrappy. In all in all we were deserved winners

:32:47. > :32:49.today. Jamie spoke about the confidence and momentum, 19 games

:32:50. > :32:53.unbeaten, coming into The Cup Final. Was that crucial? It makes it easier

:32:54. > :32:58.but these players have had so much to prove. Because everybody had

:32:59. > :33:02.written them off. We ended up the season with three trophies, as

:33:03. > :33:07.manager of this club I'm so privileged, honoured to be the

:33:08. > :33:11.manager of such a group of players and the calibre of players out here.

:33:12. > :33:16.The football was as good as I've seen in a long time. The hat-trick

:33:17. > :33:24.from Andrew Waterworth. He does that. He did it last week. He talked

:33:25. > :33:27.about Andy says he had one of his poorer season, 24 goals. I said you

:33:28. > :33:32.only need two hat tricks to get to 30. So that's why, you know Andy has

:33:33. > :33:36.done that for years and years in this league. He's renowned for

:33:37. > :33:40.doing. It he's got the ability to do it and what a day for him. It's been

:33:41. > :33:44.a dramatic week for you and the club. Did you have any concerns

:33:45. > :33:47.about that short run around from winning the league to having to

:33:48. > :33:53.prepare for The Cup Final? Sometimes a short turn around makes it easier.

:33:54. > :33:56.Instead of waiting three, four weeks, the momentum slides a bit. We

:33:57. > :34:01.had the momentum coming in from last week. Fair play to the players

:34:02. > :34:07.today. We'd like to thank Oran and Coleraine and all the Coleraine

:34:08. > :34:14.people. The season they've had and Oran's been here, Stephen Douglas,

:34:15. > :34:17.I'm sure they'll bounce back. They're youthful. With a bit of

:34:18. > :34:20.experience, they're a good club. They'll be challenging again next

:34:21. > :34:27.year. Congratulations on a fantastic season, David. It's up to Thomas.

:34:28. > :34:38.The Linfield players are making their way towards the cup. Coleraine

:34:39. > :34:42.have already received their medals. Roy Carroll is going to enjoy this

:34:43. > :34:48.moment. Had a ball last week lifting the league. A little touch of the

:34:49. > :34:52.cup. Last week he tried to grab the cup, but a shake of the hands from

:34:53. > :34:55.Michael O'Neill. He's achieved just about everything in the game, Roy

:34:56. > :35:01.Carroll. But it shows just how important it is to win this one.

:35:02. > :35:04.Andrew Waterworth, the man we've all been singing the praises of

:35:05. > :35:14.throughout the afternoon. A big smile on his face. # he gets ready

:35:15. > :35:20.to enjoy the celebrations. There is the famous trophy. Michael O'Neill

:35:21. > :35:25.saluting the goal scorer. Andy's probably looking at an international

:35:26. > :35:30.call-up after that. Niall Quinn, played a strong role today. So too

:35:31. > :35:36.Mark Haughey in defence. Here comes David Healy, the second last man up.

:35:37. > :35:47.He attended many Irish cups as a child, supporting Linfield. Now he's

:35:48. > :35:56.led them to a treble. Listen to this roar, as Jamie Mulgrew lifts the

:35:57. > :36:02.Irish Cup in 2017! The streamers are flowing around Windsor Park. The

:36:03. > :36:11.fans are singing. This has been Linfield's day. This has been

:36:12. > :36:18.Linfield's season. This famous silverware is heading back to

:36:19. > :36:23.Windsor Park one again. They've waited five years to bring the

:36:24. > :36:34.trophy home. But Linfield are Irish Cup winners once again. A treble for

:36:35. > :36:40.Linfield. A 3-0 win for them. Smiles on the faces of the Linfield

:36:41. > :36:51.players. Roy Carroll makes his way down the steps. Let's go back to the

:36:52. > :36:56.studio. Thank you also to Tim Murtagh,

:36:57. > :37:04.congratulations to all concerned with Linfield. Roy Carroll has made

:37:05. > :37:15.history. He has won cups in Ireland and England David Healy said he

:37:16. > :37:19.hadn't seen them play that well in a first half of football this season.

:37:20. > :37:22.They peaked at the right time. Coleraine didn't have it for them

:37:23. > :37:26.today. They were deserved winners today from start to finish. I

:37:27. > :37:30.thought Coleraine played for about 20 minutes in the second half. Too

:37:31. > :37:34.little too late. Linfield dominated. Delighted for David in his first

:37:35. > :37:37.proper full season at Linfield football club doing the double, in

:37:38. > :37:40.terms of the big trophies and then the treble. It's a great

:37:41. > :37:44.achievement. Delighted for Andrew Waterworth. He's a great guy, if

:37:45. > :37:50.anybody knows him off the pitch. You couldn't have a nicer guy getting a

:37:51. > :37:54.hat-trick. I guess honourable mentions for Mark Stafford and

:37:55. > :38:00.Stephen Lowry, you three unanimous that Waterworth was the standout

:38:01. > :38:04.manned, back-to-back hat tricks. I don't think there was a failure on

:38:05. > :38:07.the Linfield team, but he rose to the top. It was interesting

:38:08. > :38:11.listening to the interview, today's performance was a reaction to last

:38:12. > :38:16.year, simple as that. They played for the first 20 minutes. Two great

:38:17. > :38:19.saves, after that Glenavon went on and dominated. They were bitter

:38:20. > :38:23.disappointed. Today they responded and how did they respond? First

:38:24. > :38:27.half, they were magnificent. Totally dominant. Second half they were very

:38:28. > :38:31.professional. They managed the game well. They didn't have to chase

:38:32. > :38:37.things. Coleraine performed better in the second half. They didn't

:38:38. > :38:42.create anything or give away Carroll under pressure. There they have it

:38:43. > :38:48.in the end. Great piece of play. Andrew Waterworth attacks the box,

:38:49. > :39:00.scores a third goal. For every winner there has to be a loser. A

:39:01. > :39:05.Goole btant loser. A gallant loser. You've been here as a losing cup

:39:06. > :39:10.manager, it's a difficult day. I was saying to the lads here beside me,

:39:11. > :39:14.there's nothing worse than football and picking up the losers' medal.

:39:15. > :39:17.You build up in the morning, you come up and full of joy and delight

:39:18. > :39:22.to be in the final. Then it's all over and you have the losers' medal

:39:23. > :39:27.in your hand. We can hear from Oran Kearney now.

:39:28. > :39:31.The Coleraine manager, Oran Kearney. Tough day for your side.

:39:32. > :39:34.Commiserations. It is, yes. Obviously the elation of joy in

:39:35. > :39:38.getting to a final, you want to go and try and win it, today it wasn't

:39:39. > :39:42.to be, congratulations to Linfield, on the day, especially in the first

:39:43. > :39:46.half, there was a 20 minute spell where we couldn't cope. The damage

:39:47. > :39:51.was done then. That's just it, those two goals were hammer blows to you.

:39:52. > :39:56.They were because I felt we had started the game quite well maybe.

:39:57. > :39:59.You look at the compartments of the game and the first 20 was the one

:40:00. > :40:03.that concerned me the most. We dealt with that well. It was just that ten

:40:04. > :40:07.minute spell where we couldn't string a pass or two together and we

:40:08. > :40:14.were camped in our own half. That's done the damage. You maybe surprised

:40:15. > :40:17.our pundits with the ambitious team with three forwards. You can't have

:40:18. > :40:22.regrets about. It what was your thinking about it? Cup Finals are

:40:23. > :40:27.about winning. To beat a side like Linfield in a Cup Final, you have to

:40:28. > :40:31.score a goal. We needed as much fire power on the pitch as possible.

:40:32. > :40:39.Jimmy's played on the right for a big part of the season, James and

:40:40. > :40:42.Skinner up front. You have to give yourself half a chance of winning

:40:43. > :40:46.it. For big parts of the second half, Linfield didn't know whether

:40:47. > :40:50.to stick or twist. We were well in, not well in the game, but it was

:40:51. > :40:55.unof those, if we got a goal, possibly something could have

:40:56. > :40:58.changed. Thank you for joining us so quickly after the game. Back to the

:40:59. > :41:06.studio. Thanks to Oran Kearney for fronting

:41:07. > :41:11.up. I think it was 48 years ago a certain Billy McAvoy the last to get

:41:12. > :41:18.a hat-trick. He took it so well. Yeah, once again, young Smyth who I

:41:19. > :41:22.rate highly got down the lane. Looked up, a simple task of tapping

:41:23. > :41:26.it in the net. The experience of being in the right place. He done

:41:27. > :41:30.the same last week and picked up a hat-trick. His confidence is at the

:41:31. > :41:34.top level now. It's about timing the run and the final pass. They

:41:35. > :41:39.thoroughly deserved everything they got today. Linfield, I thought Healy

:41:40. > :41:43.hole would have taken longer to settle in. He's hit the ground

:41:44. > :41:47.running. I'm going to give you ten seconds apiece. Think, you'd have

:41:48. > :41:52.been proud of that, Linfield's day and season. Yeah, strikers have to

:41:53. > :41:56.be in the box to score goals. I harp on to our players all the time. They

:41:57. > :41:59.don't seem to listen all the time. Andy in the box three times. The

:42:00. > :42:03.ball is delivered and three goals for him. You score the goals and

:42:04. > :42:07.earn your money zblrchlt can you see David Healy reign as long as you did

:42:08. > :42:11.here? Pleased and delighted for David today. I've known him for many

:42:12. > :42:17.years. Know him as a king. I'm delighted for the king today. Thank

:42:18. > :42:23.you very much. Monday evening for you more local footy on the radio,

:42:24. > :42:28.BBC Radio Ulster, and online, that's from 7. 30pm. The summer slumber now

:42:29. > :42:32.for local football. The giant that is the Ulster champions is about to

:42:33. > :42:43.stir. Watch all the action on the BBC: That's just about it.

:42:44. > :42:47.Congratulations to Linfield. Tennants Irish Cup winners 2017.

:42:48. > :42:52.From everyone at BBC Sport NI team, Marty, David, Gary and me, bye-bye.

:42:53. > :42:57.Andrew Waterworth, what exactly is he worth? He is worth his weight in

:42:58. > :42:59.gold by one, two and three. From everyone on the team, have a good

:43:00. > :43:06.summer, bye-bye. Cheers, lads.
