:00:15. > :00:21.Good evening, welcome to Late Kick Off. Coming up on the show tonight.

:00:22. > :00:27.All change at Charlton. Is Jose the man to lead the Addicks to safety? I

:00:28. > :00:33.am here to be able to do what he asked me. To allow Charlton to stay

:00:34. > :00:36.in the division. We send Mark Bright on a double derby day dash across

:00:37. > :00:40.the capital, from Brisbane Road to the Den.

:00:41. > :00:49.I'm here! We've got all the goals from the weekend including a

:00:50. > :00:51.Battocchio belter for Watford. And London 2012 medallist Andy Lapthorne

:00:52. > :00:56.tells us about his love for Brentford. To be on the pitch and

:00:57. > :01:01.see some of the players I speak to on a regular basis was very special.

:01:02. > :01:05.With myself and Mark tonight, a former Gillingham and Millwall

:01:06. > :01:09.striker, Tony Cascarino. Great to have you with us. I hope you are

:01:10. > :01:12.going to tell us that you still look out for the results of Millwall and

:01:13. > :01:16.Gillingham, aren't you? Yeah. Six years at Gillingham and I spent a

:01:17. > :01:21.lot of time at Priestfield. I had a great time. As a kid I followed

:01:22. > :01:26.Millwall. Two of the first teams I look out for. We will hear plenty

:01:27. > :01:30.more of Tony's stories later and a few from Mark as well. First, to

:01:31. > :01:34.Charlton. Last week they became the seventh of our 12 clubs to change

:01:35. > :01:39.manager since the end of last season. With the team fighting

:01:40. > :01:43.relegation from the Championship and knocked out of the FA Cup by League

:01:44. > :01:45.One opponents, new owner Roland Duchatelet took decisive action. The

:01:46. > :01:48.BBC has learned Chris Powell has been sacked... New owner Roland

:01:49. > :01:54.Duchatelet, it dismissed the ex`Addicks... Jose Riga has been

:01:55. > :01:56.named as the new manager of Charlton.

:01:57. > :02:01.Jose Riga, a new face in English football. A familiar face to

:02:02. > :02:06.Charlton's owner, Roland Duchatelet. The pair also worked together at

:02:07. > :02:10.Standard Liege. The president is a friend of mine, we know each other

:02:11. > :02:14.very well. I'm here to be able to do what he asked me. To allow Charlton

:02:15. > :02:18.to stay in the division. He's good, he speaks great English, he's got

:02:19. > :02:22.over his points what he wants to get to the boys. We're bottom of the

:02:23. > :02:27.league, now we need to get out of it, regardless of who's in charge.

:02:28. > :02:31.The most important thing is to get Charlton safe. Before arriving in

:02:32. > :02:35.south`east London, Jose Riga was employed at AC Milan's youth

:02:36. > :02:39.academy. Jose Riga is a very clever man, very kind man, he has a lot of

:02:40. > :02:44.education. He is not a fan of kick and rush football. So he'll like a

:02:45. > :02:47.technical touch. He was once invited to coach at Real Madrid for a week,

:02:48. > :02:50.although not everyone at the Bernabeu remembers.

:02:51. > :03:08.At the Valley, replacing a fan's favourite won't be easy. He is a

:03:09. > :03:11.coach rather than a manager. We could have a Les Reid scenario here

:03:12. > :03:15.where it all goes pear`shaped in a matter of weeks! Powell has been

:03:16. > :03:18.really good for Charlton, he got them promoted from League One. I

:03:19. > :03:24.personally thought he could keep them up this season. I think this

:03:25. > :03:28.new manager has got the right set of ideas to bring to the club. I think

:03:29. > :03:31.we can do a lot better with him as manager, to be honest. This club is

:03:32. > :03:37.well organised. Really good people, they know what they do. It's not

:03:38. > :03:42.alone that we are going to win this challenge, it's altogether.

:03:43. > :03:47.Mark, you know Chris Powell very well, you played with him at

:03:48. > :03:50.Charlton. What do you make of this? We were just talking, they are

:03:51. > :03:57.bottom in March, bottom of the table. As you said, decisive action

:03:58. > :04:00.needed to be taken. Chris should be very proud of what he's achieved at

:04:01. > :04:02.the club with promotion and everything, almost made the

:04:03. > :04:05.play`offs last season. It's been a really disappointing year for him

:04:06. > :04:08.and everyone concerned with the club. So I wasn't surprised. I hoped

:04:09. > :04:12.he could survive and try and keep them up but Jose, I spoke to him

:04:13. > :04:18.after the game, he is very hopeful of doing that. It seems there was a

:04:19. > :04:21.real problem there, they had a different view on the transfer

:04:22. > :04:25.policy with the Standard Liege connection and the players coming

:04:26. > :04:28.in. Chris Powell couldn't seem to agree with that. With eight weeks of

:04:29. > :04:32.the season to go, was it the right decision to take? That's going to be

:04:33. > :04:35.at the season, if Charlton survive. I don't agree with managers being

:04:36. > :04:38.given players that they not necessarily want. Chris would love

:04:39. > :04:42.to have the say, and rightly so, have people he thinks can keep

:04:43. > :04:45.Charlton up. When an owner decides to buy the club, that's one thing.

:04:46. > :04:48.But to then start meddling and saying, you are getting these

:04:49. > :04:51.players from Standard Liege, because there was a number of them. If you

:04:52. > :04:55.don't fancy them or think they aren't good enough, as a manager

:04:56. > :04:58.that undermines you. I think it's a really difficult situation for him

:04:59. > :05:06.and, also, a year ago Charlton were in a really good position and now

:05:07. > :05:11.it's changed. Results have so dramatically changing for him. You

:05:12. > :05:16.feel sorry for him. I thought over the long period Chris would have

:05:17. > :05:19.been fine. It has changed, there's a new owner there and now there's a

:05:20. > :05:22.new manager who frankly, the fans don't know a great deal about. Do

:05:23. > :05:26.they have reason to be concerned for the long term or should they be

:05:27. > :05:29.optimistic? He's just said he's just got to try and keep the club up and

:05:30. > :05:33.survive. Alex is still there, Damian is still there and the backroom

:05:34. > :05:36.staff. He needs them. I wish them all the best because, having played

:05:37. > :05:40.for the club, you know the journey they've been on and I wish them

:05:41. > :05:43.well. But I think it's going to be a struggle. He doesn't know much about

:05:44. > :05:46.English football, Riga, and he'll know even less about League One

:05:47. > :05:48.football. Let's hope it keeps them up. The lunchtime kick`off at

:05:49. > :05:52.Brisbane Road on Saturday was followed by 3pm start at the Den. So

:05:53. > :05:55.that offered just about enough time to take in both matches. It was a

:05:56. > :05:57.double dose of derby day action, where all four teams have something

:05:58. > :06:03.to play for. East London meets West, with both

:06:04. > :06:06.trying to map a route north out of League One. Their polar opposites

:06:07. > :06:10.from the south`east of the capital are hoping to avoid veering further

:06:11. > :06:13.south out of the championship. Who is staying up, who is going up? Who

:06:14. > :06:15.is staying put? Lost your bearings yet? We sent Mark to navigate his

:06:16. > :06:30.way through both London derbies. I'm here at Brisbane Road, home of

:06:31. > :06:34.Leyton Orient FC. The O's have not been outside the top three of League

:06:35. > :06:37.One all season. They are looking to break into the second tier of

:06:38. > :06:41.English football for the first time in 32 years. In 1982 I was still at

:06:42. > :06:51.school. I can't remember that far back! Yeah, they were good days.

:06:52. > :06:54.We'd like to get back. For Brentford it has been a mere 21 years. Not

:06:55. > :06:57.forgetting the six heartbreaking failures in the play`offs during

:06:58. > :07:00.that time. It's automatically or that's it, we can't get through the

:07:01. > :07:03.play`offs. History shows you that, painful, too painful. I've seen

:07:04. > :07:07.Brentford at Wembley four or five times, we lose every time. I don't

:07:08. > :07:12.want that again. No last`minute penalties. We desperately need to

:07:13. > :07:16.win today because I think will carry us through to the rest of the end of

:07:17. > :07:19.the season. Fortunately this year we are on such a good run that we won't

:07:20. > :07:21.need to go through that heartache again, we are going to go straight

:07:22. > :07:28.up. What a beautiful day for a game of

:07:29. > :07:30.football. Top of the table clash in League One, second versus third.

:07:31. > :07:33.Orient one point above Brentford, Brentford have two games in hand.

:07:34. > :07:35.Who's going to boost their promotion hopes? Let's find out with your

:07:36. > :07:45.commentator, Nick Godley. It's a real scramble, Button got

:07:46. > :07:50.something on that. It's a poor challenge from the centre half.

:07:51. > :07:52.Tarkowski has been shown the yellow card for that. Yellow card,

:07:53. > :07:59.deserved. Donaldson has made a great run, he

:08:00. > :08:04.has prodded around the goalkeeper but that is a terrific stop by

:08:05. > :08:08.Jakupovich. That is a foul. And there's a scuffle breaking out here

:08:09. > :08:10.now with MacCormack. A group confrontation.

:08:11. > :08:23.Clayton Donaldson. He's got a yellow card. Brentford rolls it infield,

:08:24. > :08:29.Trotta gives it to Forshaw... He drives it towards goal. What a

:08:30. > :08:32.strike that is! Great move. A little step over, came to Trotta in the

:08:33. > :08:36.box, left foot low. Could not stop it.

:08:37. > :08:42.James Tarkowski has gone in very strongly there. It's a second yellow

:08:43. > :08:47.card. Brentford are down to ten men. No need to do it on the halfway

:08:48. > :08:50.line. Comes back out, rolls it square for James, who clipped it

:08:51. > :08:56.into the penalty area. There is no flag, Mooney with a chance. It's

:08:57. > :09:00.cleared away from danger. I tell you, the free kick wasn't very good

:09:01. > :09:03.but the follow`up was a good chip into the box. Under pressure now,

:09:04. > :09:07.Brentford. Mooney is wide, they are queuing up for this. It's been

:09:08. > :09:10.blocked away. He sends it into the mix, it's a clearing header. It's

:09:11. > :09:15.going to drop to Odubajo. Good save by Button. It looks like Brentford

:09:16. > :09:20.are hanging on here, it's the final minutes. I've got another London

:09:21. > :09:23.derby to attend ` I'm off! How much longer will the referee give us? Not

:09:24. > :09:26.much longer at all. There are hugs and celebrations one that Brentford

:09:27. > :09:27.bench because, my goodness me, what a magnificent away performance by

:09:28. > :09:35.the Bees in West London. I don't think I've missed any goals.

:09:36. > :09:41.Brentford look like they've done it. I'm off to the new Den to see what

:09:42. > :09:44.happens there. It's a big game today. We talk about just three

:09:45. > :09:47.points or another three points, but the fact of the matter it is second

:09:48. > :09:51.versus third, East versus West in the London derby. The boys are aware

:09:52. > :09:54.of the importance of the game. I thought they were magnificent today.

:09:55. > :09:57.Maybe they should have been down to nine men. Donaldson has gone in

:09:58. > :10:00.thinking it's a bar brawl. Young players who learnt a lot from last

:10:01. > :10:04.year, that experience from last year was fairly unique. You've got guys

:10:05. > :10:07.who are 21 years of age who have 120 odd league games under their belt.

:10:08. > :10:10.They've learnt, they are better people for it and hopefully this

:10:11. > :10:13.year they deserve to go one step further. I trust the group and I've

:10:14. > :10:17.got great belief in them. They've got great character. They are not

:10:18. > :10:20.finished yet. This season has been quite a journey for our south`east

:10:21. > :10:23.London duo. New manager at both clubs, a new owner at Charlton.

:10:24. > :10:26.Twists and turns see Millwall start this match two points above the drop

:10:27. > :10:30.zone and Charlton three points adrift, but with four games in hand

:10:31. > :10:36.on today's opponents. A draw won't do today, it's a must win game. If

:10:37. > :10:41.we still win, I don't think we are out of the woods, we are in trouble.

:10:42. > :10:45.I think today will decide the season. It's a must win game, we

:10:46. > :10:49.have to get three points. Given that we've only won ten times out of 62

:10:50. > :10:51.meetings here, I'd be happy to leave here with a smile on my face for a

:10:52. > :11:02.change. On a day like today there's no

:11:03. > :11:05.better way to travel. Rhys is a good rider, bad teller of jokes. One

:11:06. > :11:10.down, one to go. It's Emma Jones with the commentary.

:11:11. > :11:15.Welcome to a gloriously sunny south London Saturday afternoon. Now it's

:11:16. > :11:25.Williams. Headed just wide! Harriott racing forward, he goes for

:11:26. > :11:30.the shot. There's nothing to choose between the two teams. Both

:11:31. > :11:34.obviously lacking confidence. Jackson for the shot. Ben Hamer down

:11:35. > :11:44.to his right hand side. Half`time whistle. 0`0. Expect a bit better in

:11:45. > :11:50.the second half. Wiggins with the ball in. Harris threw his body at

:11:51. > :11:54.that. Moans and groans all around. They're desperate for a goal. If

:11:55. > :11:59.anything, I think Millwall are going to get it. It's a left footed swing

:12:00. > :12:03.to the edge of the penalty area. It's heading just over by

:12:04. > :12:06.Maierhofer. Fredericks is able to get the ball in. Flicked off by

:12:07. > :12:14.Morrison, dropped down inside the six yard box. It's very tense.

:12:15. > :12:19.Owen Garvan behind this free kick, Garvan goes for the far post and

:12:20. > :12:22.Hamer is across to push it away for a corner. Diego Poyet with an

:12:23. > :12:29.interception to stop Woolford and his run. That is the full`time

:12:30. > :12:34.whistle. Lots of effort and endeavour, there's no question about

:12:35. > :12:36.that. A passionate London derby. But there was just no quality, no

:12:37. > :12:41.creativity. Motions of flight predictable. A lack of options from

:12:42. > :12:45.both teams. Could have created more but it's a bit of a nervous game. I

:12:46. > :12:50.thought everybody looked a bit nervous. We knew what was at stake.

:12:51. > :12:56.We are not today in the last position. Psychologically, it is

:12:57. > :13:00.very important. It's tough at the moment because it's so vital for us.

:13:01. > :13:02.Have you got enough to stay up? Yeah, I think we can be better than

:13:03. > :13:09.three others. A busy day there for Mark. Just the

:13:10. > :13:13.one goal you managed to see in the two games. You didn't get a speeding

:13:14. > :13:17.ticket? It looked like it was going really fast. Just speeded up the

:13:18. > :13:20.film, can I just point that out? They've got identical records,

:13:21. > :13:23.Charlton and Millwall. One win in the last ten, one goal in the last

:13:24. > :13:28.five. We've already talked about Charlton, how do you rate Millwall?

:13:29. > :13:31.The atmosphere was excellent. You could see the apprehension in the

:13:32. > :13:35.players' play. I spoke to Ian Holloway at length afterwards and he

:13:36. > :13:41.is hoping Maierhofer, he can get him fit. He thinks he'll be a good

:13:42. > :13:44.combination with Morrison. He said he needs somebody upfront who can

:13:45. > :13:48.hold the ball and head the ball, and that's what he needs to do. They've

:13:49. > :13:53.only got 32 goals. It's going to be a struggle. If you look at

:13:54. > :13:55.Millwall's finishing position, it's gone down every season. Kenny

:13:56. > :13:59.Jackett left. Looking what he's doing at the moment, it's fantastic,

:14:00. > :14:01.but this is precarious right now for them.

:14:02. > :14:05.Out of the two teams, there's something about Millwall, I feel

:14:06. > :14:09.they probably stand a better chance. The games in hand with Charlton,

:14:10. > :14:13.it's always difficult. I feel with Millwall there's something about

:14:14. > :14:16.them. They might get themselves out. Ian Holloway left the Premier League

:14:17. > :14:19.relegation battle in October and joined a Championship relegation

:14:20. > :14:23.battle in January. Were you surprised by that move? I was. When

:14:24. > :14:27.Ian left Palace looked drained manager. A tired guy, needed a rest.

:14:28. > :14:31.Get away from football, get with your family, do something away from

:14:32. > :14:34.the game. The last job you'd want to take a few months down the line is

:14:35. > :14:38.Millwall. South London rival, me and Brighty have played in a few

:14:39. > :14:42.Millwall/Crystal Palace games. Being an ex`Palace manager. I felt Ian

:14:43. > :14:47.didn't need it. That job at that time, for me. I thought was a

:14:48. > :14:51.strange appointment. He is a good manager, but he wears his heart on

:14:52. > :14:54.his sleeve. That's how he manages a football club. It's very draining,

:14:55. > :14:57.that type of manager. For me, a bit too quick but hopefully, and I say

:14:58. > :15:03.hopefully because I'm not as optimistic as Brighty, I think

:15:04. > :15:06.Millwall are in real trouble. Nine points separate seven teams. The

:15:07. > :15:10.permutations, anything can happen, like it did last year and in League

:15:11. > :15:15.One as well. He's got no goals in his team. That's clearly a problem.

:15:16. > :15:18.Going back to events at Brisbane Road, and there were plenty of them.

:15:19. > :15:21.Russell Slade felt that Clayton Donaldson should have been sent off

:15:22. > :15:39.for Brentford. What did you make of that? I thought he was lucky.

:15:40. > :15:46.I thought it the referee get a good look at what I saw. You can see

:15:47. > :15:50.Clayton Donaldson coming to the fray here. Left hand into the face.

:15:51. > :15:53.Clayton Donaldson, experienced player, if you are coming into the

:15:54. > :15:56.confrontation, just separate players. Once you put your hand up

:15:57. > :16:01.like that, you run the risk of getting a red card. I felt if the

:16:02. > :16:04.referee sees him, he's got no option but to give a red card and that

:16:05. > :16:04.would have been the second one for the team.

:16:05. > :16:07.referee sees him, he's got no option Russell was also unhappy, Tony,

:16:08. > :16:10.about the Brentford bench celebrations, they celebrated as if

:16:11. > :16:15.they've won the FA Cup. Was it OTT or was it really understandable? Not

:16:16. > :16:19.for me. If you look at it here. The situation from Brentford, the team

:16:20. > :16:25.didn't go up on the final day of the season. So much went against them.

:16:26. > :16:28.It was a massive game. I have played in games and the build`up in the

:16:29. > :16:37.week leading up to this, as a player, you get caught up in it.

:16:38. > :16:41.8,000 at Leyton Orient, the big game in League One. You get caught up all

:16:42. > :16:45.week so when it comes and you get the result, the elation. Sometimes

:16:46. > :16:47.it goes a bit OTT, but for me that is part of the game. It was so

:16:48. > :16:51.significant because they've got games in hand and they were down to

:16:52. > :16:54.ten men. I think it was relief as well as celebration. Last year what

:16:55. > :16:59.happened to Brentford played a big part in the way they acted. Russell

:17:00. > :17:01.was right in one thing, it's not over yet. A little way to go and we

:17:02. > :17:04.look forward to that. Right, we've seen Millwall and

:17:05. > :17:07.Charlton slugging it out at the wrong end of the Championship. Our

:17:08. > :17:10.other three teams in the division are looking up instead of down. To

:17:11. > :17:12.remind us how they fared on Saturday, here's Emma again and Ian

:17:13. > :17:18.Ramsdale. After their midweek defeat at

:17:19. > :17:21.Brighton, QPR were hoping for an instant response at home against

:17:22. > :17:23.struggling Yeovil. And they got it thanks to a second brace in

:17:24. > :17:27.successive Saturdays from Morrison. His first and unstoppable drive from

:17:28. > :17:30.the edge of the area. It's been over a year since Bobby Zamora last

:17:31. > :17:33.scored a goal but just four minutes after coming on, that was put right

:17:34. > :17:40.against the Glovers. Before in the last minute, Morrison made sure of

:17:41. > :17:43.all three points. QPR have their confidence back ahead of their trip

:17:44. > :17:51.to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night.

:17:52. > :17:55.Brighton are just one point behind sixth place Nottingham Forest thanks

:17:56. > :17:57.to a goal in both halves from Will Buckley at the Reebok. Adam Bogdan

:17:58. > :18:01.must've thought he'd somehow stop Buckley's first but the winger was

:18:02. > :18:03.there to tidy up at the second attempt. The hosts hoped they'd

:18:04. > :18:06.equalised on the hour mark, however the assistant referee was quick to

:18:07. > :18:09.rule out Mason's effort before Buckley ensured Brighton's fifth win

:18:10. > :18:12.from their last seven league matches. Meanwhile, on`loan striker,

:18:13. > :18:14.Jonathan Obika has been recalled by Tottenham and is heading for a

:18:15. > :18:25.second spell at struggling Charlton. Fortress Vicarage Road claimed

:18:26. > :18:29.another victim in relegation battling Barnsley. The home side

:18:30. > :18:34.took the lead early on courtesy of Cristian Battocchio. Before Troy

:18:35. > :18:37.Deeney made it 17 so far for him this season. With the visitors

:18:38. > :18:41.rarely threatening, the Hornets were able to extend their lead with

:18:42. > :18:45.Alexander Merkel getting his first for the club. And while the Watford

:18:46. > :18:48.head coach says his team can still improve, that is now five

:18:49. > :18:59.consecutive home victories without conceding a goal.

:19:00. > :19:05.All five of our teams kept clean sheets in the championship. Which is

:19:06. > :19:09.nice for a change. QPR, they got the three points against Yeovil. What do

:19:10. > :19:13.you make of their position now? Second win in eight, and I think it

:19:14. > :19:16.is a struggle for them to get automatic promotion now. You have to

:19:17. > :19:19.look at a collapse above you, Burnley. That doesn't look like it's

:19:20. > :19:22.going to happen. Wolves did it in 2002, they were riding high, 11

:19:23. > :19:25.points clear, collapsed, made the play`offs and didn't get promotion.

:19:26. > :19:30.It is nice to see Morrison get another few goals, Bobby Zamora

:19:31. > :19:35.getting the goals. But for automatic now I think it is out of their

:19:36. > :19:39.hands. Difficult job by Harry Redknapp, but a lot of others would

:19:40. > :19:42.fancy it with the money he's had. A lot of Premier League players in

:19:43. > :19:46.there. What are your thoughts on where they are now? It has been a

:19:47. > :19:51.frustrating second part of the season because they started so

:19:52. > :19:55.brightly. Harry always likes to go and buy players, he does it very

:19:56. > :19:58.well. Whether it's older, experienced players who come in and

:19:59. > :20:01.do a job or someone like a loan, Morrison, a younger player. They all

:20:02. > :20:05.do something fantastically for Harry. I think he has found the last

:20:06. > :20:09.few months or so tricky because he has had players like Bobby Zamora

:20:10. > :20:13.come back. They pay`out huge wages and it has come at a huge cost for

:20:14. > :20:16.the football club. He is trying to find a way of getting the team... I

:20:17. > :20:20.think now his only option is the play`off. Harry is a clever manager

:20:21. > :20:24.about getting the best out of players. He has always overachieved

:20:25. > :20:27.with what he has had. I think this year, it just changed mid`season. If

:20:28. > :20:32.he can get them down towards the end. Losing two players has been a

:20:33. > :20:35.blow but they still have Forrest to play, Leicester to play and Wigan to

:20:36. > :20:39.play. They might be able to affect their season but for me at this

:20:40. > :20:45.stage, I don't think they will do it. Ten points off automatic, just

:20:46. > :20:53.one game in hand. OK, let's have a look at the table. Just confirm

:20:54. > :20:56.that. If they get into the play`offs, you'd fancy them with

:20:57. > :21:05.some of the big names they've got. Got a lot of players who have played

:21:06. > :21:10.high`level football. Going to Wembley won't worry QPR. Let's go

:21:11. > :21:14.down memory lane little bit, Tony. It is a few years ago now, you

:21:15. > :21:21.played for Gillingham and you scored 110 goals. Was it? I didn't do too

:21:22. > :21:25.bad. What are your overriding thoughts of your time back there?

:21:26. > :21:31.Well I was a builder, then a hairdresser then ended up... A

:21:32. > :21:35.hairdresser? Yes, I did hairdressing for two years and didn't play

:21:36. > :21:39.football for some months. But I joined the club and was given an

:21:40. > :21:45.opportunity by Keith Peacock. I was so raw and naive. I was off the

:21:46. > :21:49.building site thinking, "wow I'm going to play football every day"

:21:50. > :21:55.and I just jumped at it. It worked really. Great club. You have got so

:21:56. > :21:58.much nostalgia with previous clubs but it was the club I played the

:21:59. > :22:07.longest four. Six years I was at Gillingham. Great memories. Let's

:22:08. > :22:11.have a look at how they got on at the weekend. A 1`1 draw with

:22:12. > :22:16.Bradford. Peter Taylor's former club. Aaron Mclean with the opening

:22:17. > :22:19.goal for the home side? Premier League football with Hull in the

:22:20. > :22:23.season, that is a Premier League goal as well. Took it superbly well.

:22:24. > :22:27.Cody McDonald. His 14th of the season. Good play from those two.

:22:28. > :22:31.Getting a point away at Bradford is a decent result. Brenford, only one

:22:32. > :22:33.of our other teams outside of the Championship won on Saturday. It is

:22:34. > :22:37.with Crawley we begin a round`up of Leagues One and Two.

:22:38. > :22:41.After three games without a win, Crawley claimed a precious victory

:22:42. > :22:45.against visiting Colchester. The only goal of the game scored by Mike

:22:46. > :22:47.Jones after hard work from his team`mates. The Ewes were more

:22:48. > :22:50.threatening in the second 45 but were denied by the woodwork. Crawley

:22:51. > :22:54.have now conceded just once in their last four league games at home. A

:22:55. > :23:03.decent record to have with league leaders Wolves to come on Tuesday.

:23:04. > :23:07.Gareth Ainsworth admitted his team simply weren't good enough against

:23:08. > :23:12.York and apologise to the fans who'd made the trip. In his first match on

:23:13. > :23:17.loan from Chesterfield, Sam Togwell fouled Josh Carson for the home side

:23:18. > :23:20.to take the lead with a Ryan Bowman penalty. He added another just

:23:21. > :23:25.before half`time breaking from a Wycombe corner, for Josh Carson to

:23:26. > :23:28.get away a left footed shot. Wycombe's woes got worse late on

:23:29. > :23:31.when Togwell was sent off for his second bookable offence, plenty,

:23:32. > :23:43.Ainsworth says, for the team to put right in Tuesday's trip to

:23:44. > :23:47.Cheltenham. For a second Saturday in a row, Dagenham were going to be

:23:48. > :23:51.denied a win with a late equaliser. They took the lead early in the

:23:52. > :23:53.second half when Morecambe defender, Chris McCready, was harshly judged

:23:54. > :23:58.to have handled in the area. Medy Elito slotting home from the spot.

:23:59. > :24:01.But then in the 89th minute, a strike from the Shrimps' skipper

:24:02. > :24:04.Mark Hughes left the Daggers with no time to turn things around. Wayne

:24:05. > :24:06.Burnett says his side need to manage games better with a midweek match

:24:07. > :24:19.away at Newport County next. Wimbledon claimed a point in

:24:20. > :24:22.dramatic fashion at the Pirelli Stadium. Promotion`chasing Burton

:24:23. > :24:27.taking the lead when Alan Bennett fouled Dominic Knowles. Billy Kee

:24:28. > :24:31.put away the penalty for his 13th goal of the season. The Dons

:24:32. > :24:34.equaliser would be a first for his new club from defender, Darren

:24:35. > :24:40.Jones, salvaging a point in the eighth minute of injury time. The

:24:41. > :24:42.draw follows the same score line against league leaders Chesterfield.

:24:43. > :24:44.That means Neil Ardley was pleased with two points from two tough

:24:45. > :24:55.games. Tony, another defeat for Wycombe,

:24:56. > :24:57.that's two in a row now. Just the three points between them and

:24:58. > :25:02.relegation, should they be genuinely concerned? Well, York are the form

:25:03. > :25:05.team in the league so I don't think there's any shame in losing to them

:25:06. > :25:08.but they have a tough fortnight coming up. They have Cheltenham

:25:09. > :25:12.midweek and then they have three teams out of the top five to play.

:25:13. > :25:15.It will be really tight for them. Tony, we have had some tweets in

:25:16. > :25:19.about your time at your former clubs. Del said, do you think

:25:20. > :25:26.Millwall will ever have a squad like the one you won the Division Two

:25:27. > :25:31.title with? Sheringham, Hurlock? At that time there was huge investment

:25:32. > :25:37.in players. Reg Burr put a lot of money in to challenge to try to get

:25:38. > :25:42.promoted. With that, finances does breed success. There is a legendary

:25:43. > :25:47.story about you signing for Gillingham. I don't know if it's

:25:48. > :25:51.true, but you signed from a non`league Kent side, Crocken Hill.

:25:52. > :25:56.Was it true you signed for a load of balls and training equipment,

:25:57. > :26:02.tracksuits. I have been trying to get away with this question for

:26:03. > :26:04.years. I wasn't under contract for Crocken Hill because it was

:26:05. > :26:06.non`league Kent football. As a gesture Gillingham bought me, gave

:26:07. > :26:13.balls, cones, tracksuits, 12 tracksuits and some say they

:26:14. > :26:19.overpaid! I have had all the jokes. It was done as a gesture on

:26:20. > :26:26.Gillingham's part. So they didn't have to pay very much at all? No, I

:26:27. > :26:31.loved that football club, I really did. I loved being around the town.

:26:32. > :26:34.My first day there, I went and had a Wimpy and chips before my first

:26:35. > :26:37.game. I didn't know I had been named as sub. Them days, 13 players and

:26:38. > :26:42.the 13th was a player you didn't use. So great times. OK, it's lovely

:26:43. > :26:44.to have you in the studio. Thanks for coming in. Mark, great to see

:26:45. > :26:56.you as ever. Just a reminder BBC local radio has

:26:57. > :26:59.all the latest news from your team. Midweek commentaries include

:27:00. > :27:01.Sheffield Wednesday versus QPR on BBC London Digital Radio, Crawley

:27:02. > :27:03.versus Wolves on BBC Surrey and Cheltenham versus Wycombe on BBC

:27:04. > :27:05.Three Counties Radio. Great Britain's Paralympians have

:27:06. > :27:07.left us all inspired with their most successful winter Paralympics

:27:08. > :27:11.performance for 30 years and the last word tonight goes to a man who

:27:12. > :27:17.made it onto the podium during the last summer Games at London 2012.

:27:18. > :27:20.last word tonight goes to a man who made it When Andy Lapthorne isn't on

:27:21. > :27:25.the tennis court, you can usually find him at Griffin Park. Goodnight.

:27:26. > :27:31.I've been a Brentford fan since I was about eight years old. It was

:27:32. > :27:34.the first proper football ground I'd ever been to. Got the bug really

:27:35. > :27:36.from going into the ground, smelling the grass and sampling the

:27:37. > :27:40.atmosphere. It was quite addictive. I know a lot of the people down at

:27:41. > :27:43.the club personally. Are you in good shape? Yeah, I've been training

:27:44. > :27:47.hard, so... They've really looked after me and really helped me

:27:48. > :27:49.through, not just coming down to Brentford, but supported me through

:27:50. > :27:57.my career so you do get passionate and just hope the team do well. Go

:27:58. > :28:04.on! Oh! Head it. Go on Brentford. SINGING.

:28:05. > :28:09.It's a very tough day to lose in the final. I was very disappointed we

:28:10. > :28:13.were number one and we wanted to win the gold but to then go back to the

:28:14. > :28:16.village and see messages of support from football fans, especially from

:28:17. > :28:19.Brentford inviting me down to the game on the Saturday to present me

:28:20. > :28:23.with a shirt and hear everybody to say, " well done". That supported me

:28:24. > :28:26.so much, it was very special and to know most people were proud made it

:28:27. > :28:32.easier to accept the Silva. That is a terrible ball. Obviously we didn't

:28:33. > :28:36.have the greatest of starts this season either, but to come back and

:28:37. > :28:40.go on the run the boys have been on has been unbelievable really. And

:28:41. > :28:43.obviously I think we are in a good place. I will be going to Rio in

:28:44. > :28:46.2016 and hopefully winning the gold medal and Brentford will be moving

:28:47. > :28:50.into Lionel Road in 2016, so hopefully we can have two big events

:28:51. > :28:52.going on at once and hopefully I will be walking round their

:28:53. > :28:53.20,000`seater stadium with a gold medal.

:28:54. > :29:00.CHEERING.
