:00:09. > :00:19.12 games left of the season for Dave Jones to keep his job. That is

:00:19. > :00:26.

:00:26. > :00:31.the way it has been on late kick- off. Out with the old and in with

:00:31. > :00:37.the new but does changing the boss really work? Are if you do not like

:00:37. > :00:41.something, you get rid of it. Goalkeeper's union, a session with

:00:41. > :00:51.Barnsley's guardian of the goal. We will have the best of the action

:00:51. > :00:52.

:00:52. > :00:55.from the weekend. Good evening. Appropriately, in a week when we're

:00:55. > :00:57.talking - again - about managers getting the sack, I've two guests

:00:57. > :00:59.who've been down that road themselves, Phil Brown and Brian

:00:59. > :01:03.Laws. And there is much to talk about.

:01:03. > :01:05.Can you think of a more insecure job than being the manager of a

:01:05. > :01:09.high profile football club? This week, it was Sheffield Wednesday's

:01:09. > :01:12.Gary Megson's turn to get the tin tack, becoming the third manager of

:01:12. > :01:15.one of our clubs considered to be doing pretty well, to be sacked

:01:15. > :01:20.inside the last month. So what is behind it all? Paul Barnes has been

:01:20. > :01:25.investigating. What a difference a week can making

:01:25. > :01:28.the bizarre world of football? Just eight days ago Sheffield Wednesday

:01:28. > :01:33.recorded the sweetest of all victories over bend nearest of

:01:33. > :01:39.rivals in the steel city Rive -- Derby and it seems to signal a stay

:01:39. > :01:43.of execution for Gary Megson. Then on Wednesday evening, this happened.

:01:43. > :01:48.Breaking news from Hillsborough, Gary Megson is gone from Sheffield

:01:48. > :01:52.Wednesday. My word, can you believe that? Two most Wednesday fans, the

:01:52. > :01:56.timing of the announcement was the biggest surprise with the Derby Day

:01:56. > :02:01.victory just a few days before. am a bit shocked. I did not

:02:01. > :02:05.expected. We thought it was a joke. Then it was on the radio and

:02:05. > :02:10.everything. He must be the only manager in history to be sacked

:02:10. > :02:15.after winning over the local rivals. I just do not see why they have

:02:15. > :02:19.done it. I think everybody is aghast with the timing of the

:02:19. > :02:24.sacking but I think a lot of people were a bit uneasy with the style of

:02:24. > :02:28.football that he played. It is the wrong time of year to do it. We are

:02:29. > :02:35.third, what more do you have to do? There are a lot of Wednesday fans

:02:35. > :02:42.and only two games a-year against the United and we have won one and

:02:42. > :02:48.drew the other. There are only 13 the games left, there is not enough

:02:48. > :02:53.time. Dave Jones was swiftly appointed as Megson's replacement.

:02:53. > :02:56.News of another sacking should not come as a surprise. Incredibly nine

:02:56. > :03:00.managers of our football League clubs in our region have been

:03:00. > :03:06.sacked in the past 12 months. John Sheridan in Chesterfield is the

:03:06. > :03:09.only one to survive from this time last year. Dave Jones began his run

:03:09. > :03:13.up with at Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon. Recent history

:03:13. > :03:18.demonstrates that if success does not come quickly, they could be

:03:18. > :03:22.another man in the Hillsborough died out long before 2015. Why are

:03:22. > :03:25.managers these days given so little time to turn the team around?

:03:25. > :03:29.you do not like something you get rid of it. You get rid of it

:03:29. > :03:34.quickly, were that it it is a wife or a football manager or whatever.

:03:34. > :03:38.It is pathetic. You need to stick with a manager as long as the

:03:39. > :03:43.players are playing and motivated to be with him. As long as there is

:03:43. > :03:48.a good relationship with the board and the fans, why would you do it?

:03:48. > :03:52.With the staggeringly high rate of turnover in football management is

:03:52. > :03:57.the game just reflecting the way modern society demands instant

:03:57. > :04:02.results. There is no industry where results are so immediate. You get a

:04:02. > :04:06.point as a c e l of a company and you will get a -- you will take

:04:06. > :04:10.years before you know you are successful with that company. In

:04:10. > :04:16.football it is weeks and in months you are out if you do not deliver.

:04:16. > :04:21.That mentality is very harmful. Gary Megson's dismissal and the

:04:21. > :04:26.recent sacking of Lee Clark shocked many. Both clubs are well on track

:04:26. > :04:30.to give themselves a chance of promotion. What is happening now is

:04:30. > :04:35.very weird indeed. We have clubs that are in the top three all four

:04:35. > :04:40.are dumping the manager. What I think it is is unrealistic

:04:40. > :04:46.expectations by boards that, OK, we are close but not quite there. We

:04:46. > :04:51.want to get an automatic promotion place so let us make a change now.

:04:51. > :04:58.Despite concern among some fans, Milan Mandaric said that it was the

:04:58. > :05:03.best interest in the club. I need to do this in order to move forward.

:05:03. > :05:07.For that I need people to trust me. Saturday's game us all Wednesday

:05:07. > :05:11.leave Rochdale with a goalless draw in a match they could have lost at

:05:11. > :05:20.the home side had converted a late penalty. This kind of result a

:05:20. > :05:27.Milan Mandaric will not tolerate. took previous two clubs to where

:05:27. > :05:30.they should be successfully. I do not have patients for failures.

:05:30. > :05:34.you whether Sheffield Wednesday chairman Milan Mandaric and he came

:05:34. > :05:39.to you saying he wanted to get rid of Gary Megson, watch it would your

:05:39. > :05:44.advice have been? His explanation would be that they are third and

:05:44. > :05:48.may have to win the next few games to get automatic promotion. If we

:05:48. > :05:56.bring in someone else we will win those games on the basis of just

:05:56. > :06:00.change. I would say do not do that. There is the traditional Wednesday

:06:00. > :06:03.back with the Latin phrase for wisdom and courage. Milan Mandaric

:06:03. > :06:09.has shown courage with the removal of Gary Megson this week but only

:06:09. > :06:12.time will tell if it is a wise decision.

:06:12. > :06:18.Brian you have been there and done that. What did you make of the

:06:18. > :06:22.decision to replace Gary Megson? am not sure it was a wise decision.

:06:22. > :06:26.Everybody in football was shocked. I do not think they were surprised

:06:26. > :06:30.in a way because the relationship was getting strained and they were

:06:30. > :06:35.talking about him losing his job before the Sheffield derby which

:06:35. > :06:37.would have been a silly thing to do anyway. I was at the game and I

:06:37. > :06:43.could fill a tension because the players I think knew there was so

:06:43. > :06:50.much talk going around. He has done a terrific job but to get the sack

:06:50. > :06:53.after the derby game is a ridiculous situation to be in.

:06:53. > :06:58.Everybody thinks that he was looking at this. We are not privy

:06:58. > :07:02.to what really went on but he must have fallen out with someone.

:07:02. > :07:07.said the word relationship and that is key. Phil, the relationship

:07:07. > :07:11.between manager and chairman, or owner, is very different from how

:07:11. > :07:19.we used to be. They have been a lot of changes over the years. If I go

:07:19. > :07:23.back to my time at Hull City, I had two chairman and people used to

:07:23. > :07:26.question my relationship with Paul Duffin because it was too close. I

:07:26. > :07:31.was always brought up with the old school and the new school to know

:07:31. > :07:35.that that has to be the strongest relationship in any football club

:07:35. > :07:40.but in today and's society, there are so many people involved in

:07:41. > :07:44.football and there are so many sub- plots and with cheap -- with chief

:07:44. > :07:47.executives and directors of finance and directors of football and they

:07:47. > :07:52.are all in the way of that relationship. If that is not strong

:07:53. > :07:58.them the results will fall and the result is that Gary Megson got the

:07:58. > :08:02.sack. We heard a from a man who is a big football fan and he says that

:08:02. > :08:07.football is just a reflection of the way that we are as people

:08:07. > :08:12.nowadays. Do you see it like that? I think Milan Mandaric has a lot of

:08:12. > :08:16.money and he has already said that he does not have the patience for

:08:16. > :08:21.failures. What constitutes a failure? You a third in the League

:08:21. > :08:26.and the season has not come to a climax yet it, it has not finished.

:08:26. > :08:29.They have a great winning ratio and the chances are they will get a

:08:29. > :08:33.promotion whether it is automatic call in the play-offs and he has

:08:33. > :08:38.not had the opportunity to finish the job so what is failure? We do

:08:38. > :08:43.not know. John Sheridan is the only man still in place a one of our

:08:43. > :08:48.clubs now so is this the pattern now? Will be go back to how it was

:08:48. > :08:53.all his business that -- is this it now? When it comes to the end or

:08:53. > :08:57.asked nearing the end, when you are out of work you start to analyse

:08:57. > :09:00.what had actually gone on. Coming up to my last game which was

:09:00. > :09:04.against Chesterfield in the Johnston's Paint Trophy. We were

:09:04. > :09:08.beaten by points and they went on to Wembley and we did not. The

:09:08. > :09:14.following day I got a phone call from my chairman and I read between

:09:14. > :09:19.the lines, I was involved in three cup competitions and if I had taken

:09:19. > :09:23.Preston to Wembley and I would have bought myself some time. John has

:09:23. > :09:27.bought himself some time by being at Wembley. Now you look at that

:09:27. > :09:31.and he has been bottom of the table and he is just starting to get a

:09:31. > :09:34.bit of form with players playing for a place at Wembley and they

:09:34. > :09:38.have climbed off the bottom of the table and if they stick with him

:09:38. > :09:41.then longevity will pay. Longevity is just not happening in football

:09:41. > :09:44.at the moment and is unlikely to happen in

:09:44. > :09:48.Well, Dave Jones wasn't officially in charge of Wednesday at Rochdale

:09:48. > :09:50.on Saturday, but he was in the stands to watch what is now his

:09:51. > :09:55.team. And that's where Neil Morrow starts his League One round-up,

:09:55. > :09:58.with some remarkable, and some ridiculous results.

:09:58. > :10:02.Dave Jones left team matters to Chris Evans as he watched his new

:10:03. > :10:06.charges with his chairman. They saw Wednesday struggle against Rochdale

:10:06. > :10:11.with five minutes to go it looked like all three points would be lost.

:10:11. > :10:16.The referee awarded a dubious penalty. Gary Jones hit the post so

:10:16. > :10:23.they came away with at least one point. Obviously it has been a

:10:23. > :10:28.different week. We needed to quickly regrouped and all credit to

:10:28. > :10:32.the players, they have been absolutely outstanding to a man.

:10:32. > :10:36.They gave everything. Sheffield United fans were left scratching

:10:36. > :10:42.their heads of the throwing away a two goal or advantage against

:10:42. > :10:46.Oldham. They had gone one up from Harry Maguire and Ched Evans made

:10:46. > :10:49.the result seemed beyond doubt. The game suddenly changed complexion.

:10:49. > :10:54.Richard Cresswell's horrible own goal reduce the advantage and

:10:54. > :11:00.things got worse when Matthew Lowton saw red with this tackle.

:11:00. > :11:05.Within seconds things were level. Harry Maguire was sent off before

:11:05. > :11:12.dragging back Reuben Reid and the formal Wednesday striker Shefki

:11:12. > :11:15.Kuqi completed the comeback. were two milk up and we were

:11:15. > :11:20.cruising and we could have put the game to bed in the first half but

:11:20. > :11:30.we did not. Had his fill's collapse was even more surprising. The

:11:30. > :11:33.

:11:33. > :11:37.terriers has stormed into a three - - 3-0 lead. It became three from

:11:37. > :11:43.roads. When a Bury captain at Steve Schumacher pulled one back before

:11:43. > :11:48.the break there seemed little danger. Bury dominated the second

:11:48. > :11:52.period and Lenell John Lewis's had a goal which gave them 20 minutes

:11:52. > :11:57.to find the equaliser. Ashley Eastham sent home fans into

:11:57. > :12:00.raptures. It was a very good first half. You saw the good side of us

:12:00. > :12:05.and the bad side of us. That is something the team have done quite

:12:05. > :12:08.often this year. We are extremely pleased with the way things went.

:12:08. > :12:12.There were some good chances in the first half and we limited them to a

:12:13. > :12:17.few opportunities. When you get to that position you want to see the

:12:17. > :12:20.game through and we managed to do that. There was a lot of excitement

:12:20. > :12:23.in the other end of the table. Scunthorpe have been unlucky to

:12:23. > :12:28.take nothing from Bramall Lane on Tuesday but they made amends with a

:12:28. > :12:33.thrilling performance against Wycombe. A 2-0 up at half-time.

:12:33. > :12:43.They shudder of the sending off of Michael O'Connor in the second half.

:12:43. > :12:43.

:12:43. > :12:48.Then it was a 4-0. Chesterfield are hampered middle week in by Charlton.

:12:48. > :12:52.But they have real reason for hope that they can escape the drop. The

:12:52. > :13:02.goal ensured they took all three points and it came within a quarter

:13:02. > :13:21.

:13:21. > :13:25.Two games running, Huddersfield have thrown away a lead but

:13:25. > :13:29.Sheffield United wefpt one better, they properly threw it away and

:13:29. > :13:36.lost. Do you see it as a blip? think it will be a blip. I mean,

:13:36. > :13:41.only time will tell where that's concerned. I was at Man City,

:13:41. > :13:51.Bolton on Saturday. That was the result. 2-0 and to lose 3-2 against

:13:51. > :13:52.

:13:52. > :13:55.hold ham you know. Paul Dickov has done well. But it was a calamity of

:13:55. > :13:59.errors, but his own admission Danny's said we had opportunities

:14:00. > :14:04.to bury it in the first half, we threw it away. We gifted it in the

:14:04. > :14:11.second half. It will be a one-game blip. You fancy them to follow

:14:11. > :14:16.Charlton up? I do. It's easily -- easy to pro dict, but they've got

:14:16. > :14:21.four or five points security, if you want to call it that, I know!

:14:21. > :14:26.I'm not there is in that division. It's a dodgy word. Three out of the

:14:26. > :14:28.top how many have received their marching orders where managers are

:14:29. > :14:33.concerned. He has four point cushion from Sheffield Wednesday

:14:33. > :14:38.and five points from Huddersfield with a game in hand. Better week

:14:38. > :14:41.for Scunthorpe and Chesterfield. Great win for Scunthorpe. Three

:14:41. > :14:46.wins out of six and Chesterfield, no signs of being distracted by

:14:46. > :14:50.Wembley. That's in three weeks. Absolutely. I think Sheridan,

:14:50. > :14:53.winning the game and getting to the final has probably used that with

:14:53. > :14:57.the players to embrace not only to get to the final, but have you to

:14:57. > :15:02.win games now to secure your place. It's worked a treat for them.

:15:02. > :15:06.They're creeping up in the league. They've had a tough period as well.

:15:06. > :15:10.There's no easy games. Terrific games that I've seen them play and

:15:10. > :15:14.they've deserved the win. Let's hope it's on the up. And Scunthorpe

:15:14. > :15:17.as well. Fingers crossed both can stay up. Coming up: Keeping up with

:15:17. > :15:27.the keepers. And the brightest brains at

:15:27. > :15:29.

:15:29. > :15:33.Forget the test of skill, fitness, BMI and occasionally breath that

:15:33. > :15:43.footballers face. The one that has them worried is head to head. This

:15:43. > :15:49.

:15:49. > :15:54.week, Bradford. Goalkeeper. 31 in the hole.

:15:54. > :15:59.Bradford have a two Football League clubs, Bradford City or one, who is

:15:59. > :16:05.the other. Bradford park avenue. which drict is Valley Parade

:16:05. > :16:13.stadium? Mang ham. Name the Formula One world champion? Sn massa.

:16:13. > :16:21.Ah... How many seasons did Bradford City play in the Premier League.

:16:21. > :16:29.Two. True or false City have never won the FA couple. True. False.

:16:29. > :16:33.What do cows drink? Water. What club did Phil Parkinson manage

:16:33. > :16:40.before Bradford? Hull. Charlton. Correct. Bradford's rugby league

:16:40. > :16:45.club are the Bulls. What was their old names? Pass. How many months of

:16:45. > :16:51.the year have at least 28 days? of them. Correct. Who's the club's

:16:51. > :16:58.top goal scorer? James Anderson. Time's up. Yes! I got him. He's

:16:58. > :17:02.useless. A win for Flynn. Who on earth was that in the background?

:17:02. > :17:05.We'll see Michael and Callum's colleagues at Dagenham in a moment.

:17:05. > :17:11.First, three draws and a defeat for our Championship challengers this

:17:11. > :17:15.weekend, with BBC Radio Leeds Derm Tanner. Southampton's goalkeeper

:17:15. > :17:19.Davis was the difference between victory and defeat for Leeds.

:17:19. > :17:22.Saints took the lead somewhat against the run of play. But in the

:17:22. > :17:26.second half, Leeds found in Davis second half, Leeds found in Davis

:17:26. > :17:30.the unmovable object. Time and again the stopper kept league

:17:30. > :17:40.leaders in front. This leaves Leeds six points off the play-offs with

:17:40. > :17:47.

:17:47. > :17:51.13 games left. But it was still an defeat on the bounce when Mccleary

:17:51. > :17:56.put forest ahead. With time running out Davis thumped home an equaliser

:17:56. > :18:03.to stop the rot. 1-1. Don cast rer still without a win

:18:03. > :18:08.since January 2. On Saturday they fell behind. Rovers at least

:18:08. > :18:14.claimed a point thanks to Douf who scored from the spot.

:18:14. > :18:18.Our third 1-1 draw came on Friday night. Most of the evening it looks

:18:18. > :18:28.like ipbs's strike would be a winning goal. In the dying embers

:18:28. > :18:33.of the match Hull scored. In League Two the score in

:18:33. > :18:42.Rotherham's game was one apiece. Barnet took an early lead. They

:18:42. > :18:49.were booked -- pegged back. A game that wasn't one each. For

:18:49. > :18:52.Bradley it ended in defeat for the ban tums. Matthew saunders free

:18:52. > :19:02.kick lifts them out of the relegation zone and keeps Bradford

:19:02. > :19:28.

:19:28. > :19:31.Elland Road, Saturday evening, could have been very different.

:19:31. > :19:36.Fourth minute that penalty appeal for handball. I think I was

:19:36. > :19:43.watching the game, I thought, let's just say one thing. Leeds were

:19:43. > :19:48.excellent. Just what John Warner wanted for his home debut -- Neil

:19:48. > :19:51.Warnock wanted for his home debut. This one, the referee wouldn't give

:19:51. > :19:58.it if the distances were closer, but that ball has travelled ten

:19:58. > :20:02.yards or a good save as many would say. We say about intent.

:20:02. > :20:08.referees would say if your hands are by the side, they wouldn't give

:20:08. > :20:12.it. When you lift your hands you are taking a chance. Warnock was

:20:12. > :20:15.less than happy about that. Will he be happy with what he's seen from

:20:15. > :20:18.the two games? I think he'll be delighted, particularly with the

:20:18. > :20:22.commitment of the players. Right from the first minute of the game

:20:22. > :20:26.they went straight at the league leaders. You couldn't tell the

:20:26. > :20:29.difference. Wow have said Leeds were the leaders at the time. He'll

:20:29. > :20:33.be delighted with that. He wants to see probably a bit more quality in

:20:33. > :20:37.the finishing. Other than that, he's got something to build on.

:20:37. > :20:41.That brings me nicely to Hull City, quality in finishing, seems to be

:20:41. > :20:45.all that's lacking. They've got plenty to do as well. They've got

:20:45. > :20:54.plenty to do to get in the play- offs. You're talking about the way,

:20:54. > :20:57.we're talking about Warnock, Nicky Barmby, his tenacity is coming out

:20:57. > :21:01.in his team. There's always one goal in. It normally they're

:21:01. > :21:06.winning. On Friday night they were one up against it and then they

:21:06. > :21:13.battled back and got a deserved draw in the end. I thought

:21:13. > :21:18.Blackpool had the run of play. Tomorrow night Hull versus Leeds.

:21:18. > :21:24.Now goal keepers. Different breed to the rest. Some so unhinged they

:21:24. > :21:28.rattle when they walk. We sent our resident nutcase for training time

:21:28. > :21:33.with the men between the sticks at Barnsley.

:21:33. > :21:36.Good lad. Excellent. professional goalkeeper, it's

:21:36. > :21:41.arguably football's most intriguing position. Your mistakes are

:21:41. > :21:48.highlighted more than anyone's. But your heroics never grab as many

:21:48. > :21:54.headlines as a front man. David Preeson and Luke Steel are the

:21:54. > :21:59.keepers. Steel has been between the sticks all his life. How did it all

:21:59. > :22:03.start? I was thrown into it because I had two older brothers, who had

:22:03. > :22:07.the attitude of if you don't go in goal you won't play with us in the

:22:07. > :22:12.garden. I picked it up from there, at the age four, five. The garden

:22:12. > :22:16.was in a state as a youngster. It was just a case of me coming in

:22:17. > :22:21.drenched with mud and rain and stuff. I enjoyed that part of it as

:22:21. > :22:31.well. I just carried on from the age of five, six, seven and then

:22:31. > :22:32.

:22:32. > :22:39.got into a team at nine. Not too far over. The man would works with

:22:39. > :22:43.the keepers on a daily basis is Ian Wilcock. Tactics and technique are

:22:43. > :22:47.important but so much of it is in the mind. Goal keepers are going to

:22:47. > :22:51.make mistakes, but for me it's how they react after that mistake.

:22:51. > :22:56.That's the biggest thing. Are they positive with what's just happened.

:22:56. > :23:00.Do they forget it or does it stay with them. Top-class keepers they

:23:00. > :23:04.move on. They have the ability to forget about it, get on with what

:23:04. > :23:08.they have to do and revisit it later. The relationship between

:23:08. > :23:12.keepers should be a delicate one. There's only one spot and the

:23:12. > :23:16.number two is almost always restricted to a watching brief. But

:23:16. > :23:21.this rare breed stick together and these two have always been close.

:23:21. > :23:25.He lived with me for a little bit. I let him live with me rent free,

:23:25. > :23:31.might I add. When he first come to the club, he lived with he for a

:23:31. > :23:37.few months. That's how we got to know each other. We're sort of best

:23:37. > :23:40.mates at the club. We do different things together, but he seemed to

:23:40. > :23:47.move in for a week and ended up being about three months. Friends

:23:47. > :23:50.they may be, but former Sunderland stopper Prees has made just one

:23:50. > :23:54.first team appearance this term. He's had to be patient, something

:23:54. > :24:00.he admits comes with age. It is frustrating. There's days when you

:24:00. > :24:05.have your down days and it gets to you a little bit. But I think it

:24:05. > :24:09.probably affected me more when I was younger. Now I'm a bit more

:24:09. > :24:14.laid back. Football isn't the all encompassing thing that used to be

:24:14. > :24:18.in my life. Once you have kids, you get perspective. It becomes easier

:24:18. > :24:24.to deal with. I've been watching them in action all morning. I've

:24:24. > :24:27.decided there's nothing to this goal keeping lark. I'm going to put

:24:27. > :24:32.on something more practical and get stuck in. The transformation is

:24:32. > :24:37.complete. A very poor man's Joe Hart.

:24:37. > :24:41.Ian has worked with the likes of Frankie Fielding and Tom Heaton so

:24:41. > :24:46.this was a far greater test for him. We started with the basics of the

:24:46. > :24:51.correct stance before moving to more acrobatic drills. We go there,

:24:52. > :24:57.shoulder over the knee. Then you drop your hands, right hand behind

:24:57. > :25:02.the ball, top hand on top of it. Ian's advice was clearly working as

:25:02. > :25:12.I pulled off a host of top-class saves. Brilliant. Excellent. The

:25:12. > :25:15.other side. Superb. Now can you put it into practice? Probably not.

:25:15. > :25:20.This hot streak didn't last long and soon the ball was flying past

:25:20. > :25:26.me at will. He's not even seen it! After a punishing session, the best

:25:26. > :25:36.bit of the day, a massage from head physio Craig. It meant the aching

:25:36. > :25:40.had just about ceased by Saturday afternoon.

:25:40. > :25:46.Steele in search of his fifth clean sheet of the season. But a

:25:46. > :25:53.deflection meant he was beaten by this effort. But he came to the

:25:53. > :25:57.rescue with an outstanding late stop that denied Cunningham a

:25:57. > :26:01.winner. We had different half chances and they managed to get

:26:01. > :26:05.through just after 90 minutes. I was pleased to keep it out. The

:26:05. > :26:10.defenders done well after that to clear it out of the box. It would

:26:10. > :26:15.have been a bit unfair if they'd scored because we did deserve it.

:26:15. > :26:19.We deserved at least a point. a fantastic week. I've learned how

:26:19. > :26:22.to think like a goalkeeper and train like one and today seen how

:26:22. > :26:25.they put it into practice on a Saturday afternoon. A fantastic

:26:25. > :26:29.experience. Thank you. Nofrpblgts problem. You're welcome any time.

:26:29. > :26:33.We've been chatting with the gaffer this week and we've found a role

:26:33. > :26:41.for you. That's brilliant. Third choice... Start by filling those

:26:41. > :26:46.mate, cheers. Ian, come on. I don't even know where the taps are.

:26:46. > :26:56.He's a better goalkeeper than actor. But this is what he didn't want us

:26:56. > :26:56.

:26:56. > :27:01.to see. Barnsley weren't kind to him all the time. Look at this one.

:27:01. > :27:06.He stopped it, that's the main thing. That's what the coach said.

:27:06. > :27:11.He kept it out. The dynamic got me between the two keepers. They

:27:11. > :27:15.seemed to get on one and two. Have you ever had a pair who didn't.

:27:15. > :27:19.who didn't. But when we got promoted. We brought in Tony Warner

:27:19. > :27:22.as a third and it changed the dynamics between one and two. I

:27:22. > :27:25.think it's important that the goal keeping coach knows how to motivate

:27:25. > :27:29.and get on with the individuals involved. And goal keeping coach

:27:29. > :27:32.there's a phrase when you were flaiing that didn't exist. Didn't

:27:32. > :27:37.exist when I was a player. And when I went into management, didn't

:27:37. > :27:43.exist. I was coaching the goal keepers and let me tell you, I was

:27:43. > :27:48.rubbish at it. How can an outfield player tell a specialist goalkeeper

:27:48. > :27:52.you got it wrong. He would be offended by it. I was uncomfortable

:27:52. > :27:57.doing that. I was pleased to see the goal keeping coaches coming in.

:27:57. > :28:01.It's a specialist thing. They will respect that decision better.

:28:01. > :28:11.club now has a permanent goal keeping coach. Now the midweek

:28:11. > :28:29.
