:00:00. > :00:00.And just as we were getting going, welcome to the last of this season's

:00:07. > :00:27.Late Kick Off. A grand title tussle to end a superb

:00:28. > :00:32.season in League Two for our clubs. But it is Doncaster despair, as

:00:33. > :00:38.Rovers return to League One. And we have a lyrical Late Kick Off

:00:39. > :00:44.lament to Barnsley. It was like watching Brazil.

:00:45. > :00:50.Good evening. Here we are at the end of another football season.

:00:51. > :00:54.Seems like no time since we started and two men who can vouch for time

:00:55. > :00:57.moving more quickly as you get older, Dean Windass and John

:00:58. > :01:00.Hendrie, are here to give us their end of term reports.

:01:01. > :01:02.We also want to hear from you. Here is how you you can contact us

:01:03. > :01:09.on social media... I am sure editor Neil will continue

:01:10. > :01:13.his excellent goals flash service during the play`offs.

:01:14. > :01:15.Whatever the result between Chesterfield and Fleetwood, a party

:01:16. > :01:19.atmosphere was guaranteed at the Proact Stadium.

:01:20. > :01:24.Chesterfield had the task of clinching the League Two title.

:01:25. > :01:26.Slip up and Scunthorpe and Rochdale could claim the prize for

:01:27. > :01:30.themselves. In a spirit of pure spitefulness, we

:01:31. > :01:44.sent our own in`house Rochdale supporter, Nathan Lord.

:01:45. > :01:48.The League Two title was in Chesterfield's hands on Saturday,

:01:49. > :01:54.going into the final game of the season against Fleetwood.

:01:55. > :01:57.But it was Fleetwood who got the opening goal goal.

:01:58. > :02:00.Matty Blair somehow managing to dance his way past the Chesterfield

:02:01. > :02:03.defence. Over at Glanford Park, Scunthorpe

:02:04. > :02:10.were doing their bit against York to try and grab the title.

:02:11. > :02:15.But Rochdale went one up against Newport, which meant that they went

:02:16. > :02:17.to the top of the table. The Iron got another ten minutes

:02:18. > :02:20.later, through Hawkridge's low strike.

:02:21. > :02:23.But that would not matter so long as Rochdale were in front.

:02:24. > :02:26.There was another goal at Rodney Parade and this time it was Newport

:02:27. > :02:31.that got an equaliser, which sent Scunthorpe back to the top of the

:02:32. > :02:34.league, going into half`time. But just before the break, the

:02:35. > :02:38.Minster Men grabbed the one back, with this great strike from Ryan

:02:39. > :02:41.Brobbel. Back at the Proact, the Spireites

:02:42. > :02:46.came out on fire for the second half. Sam Hurd made it 1`1, but a

:02:47. > :02:53.draw was still not going to be good enough for them, with Scunthorpe

:02:54. > :02:56.beating York. However, it was not long before

:02:57. > :02:59.Chesterfield got another, with this cracker from Gary Roberts, sending

:03:00. > :03:03.the home side back to the top of the division.

:03:04. > :03:09.Over Glanford Park, York were not going to let Scunthorpe ruin their

:03:10. > :03:12.superb unbeaten run. Will Hayhuryt finding the bottom corner, to make

:03:13. > :03:17.it 17 games without defeat for the Mintyer Men.

:03:18. > :03:21.Back over at Rodney Parade, there was even more drama, with Newport

:03:22. > :03:24.grabbing a late winner, which meant Scunthorpe were back to into second

:03:25. > :03:25.place in the table to end a record`breaking season under Russ

:03:26. > :03:35.Wilcox. It is brilliant. I have been

:03:36. > :03:38.watching them all season. This is what we have been striving for.

:03:39. > :03:42.It has been ups and downs all day. We were top one minute, second the

:03:43. > :03:45.next and then back to third. And it is my birthday.

:03:46. > :03:47.Was it always going to be a party today?

:03:48. > :03:53.Oh, no doubt about it. No matter what, there was always going to be a

:03:54. > :03:57.party. Chesterfield's 2`1 victory sealed

:03:58. > :04:00.the League Two title. It was the icing on the cake for Paul Cook's

:04:01. > :04:05.team and celebrations started in style.

:04:06. > :04:16.Lt always feels fandabidozee when you are watching Chesterfield!

:04:17. > :04:20.# Championis, championis. Last week was good, but this was

:04:21. > :04:24.brilliant. It has had us biting nails till the end. It has been

:04:25. > :04:26.unbelievable. To win it again and have my kids here, it has been

:04:27. > :04:29.unbelievable. We were the best team all year and

:04:30. > :04:33.we deserved it. It is magic. And my granddaughter is

:04:34. > :04:36.here and my son. And I found out today, that I am going to have a

:04:37. > :04:40.little grandson. Congratulations.

:04:41. > :04:45.So, fantastic day. It is the cherry on top. Champions,

:04:46. > :04:48.we are champions now. For all the players involved, they have done a

:04:49. > :04:49.great job. For the players, great for everyone involved. For the fans,

:04:50. > :05:06.everything, it is just the top. The whole day was set up for us to

:05:07. > :05:09.do something good. And at half`time, obviously, you are not happy. But I

:05:10. > :05:12.thought in the second half, we did really well. We started really well.

:05:13. > :05:16.And players like Gary Roberts. Football is all about players.

:05:17. > :05:21.What a day. We did not do things easily here. We fell behind in the

:05:22. > :05:23.first half. We started a bit flat, but you could not have picked a

:05:24. > :05:33.better way to finish this season. Yes, great day for Chesterfield,

:05:34. > :05:36.they are the champions. It is a 1`2 table, with Chesterfield the

:05:37. > :05:42.champions, Scunthorpe in second and York city in seventh, from being

:05:43. > :05:45.22nd at the start of the year. Fleetwood in the play`offs, more of

:05:46. > :05:49.that in a moment. First of all, Chesterfield. Champions, John? The

:05:50. > :05:53.best team? Without a shadow of a doubt. It is

:05:54. > :05:56.not just about them being champions, it is the way they have done it.

:05:57. > :05:59.They have been entertaining all season, playing attacking football.

:06:00. > :06:02.Gary Roberts, of all people, getting the winning goal. He is a superb

:06:03. > :06:06.player who can play any higher league, no doubt about it. New line

:06:07. > :06:09.I know we have been talking about it, Dean, but the football they

:06:10. > :06:13.play, as well, it is not just the pump it and lump it variety, is it?

:06:14. > :06:17.It is proper football, as they say. I love Cooky, I played against him a

:06:18. > :06:21.few years ago. He was a good player, as well. He has managed to install

:06:22. > :06:25.that in to his team that they have to pass the ball around. Like John

:06:26. > :06:28.said, some lower league clubs, want to go route one, but they pass it

:06:29. > :06:31.about. Like you said there, Gary Roberts. If you have one

:06:32. > :06:34.exceptionally good football in your team, it can define your season. I

:06:35. > :06:38.cannot believe Huddersfield let him go, to be honest.

:06:39. > :06:42.They have got quite a good few players Deano, not just the one. And

:06:43. > :06:49.what were you doing down there as their mascot?!

:06:50. > :06:52.What gave it away, was it the ears?! As for Scunthorpe, no real

:06:53. > :06:56.disappointment. They finished as runners`up, they have not got the

:06:57. > :06:57.title. But they cannot be too disappointed, they have had a

:06:58. > :07:01.terrific season. A brilliant job that Russ Wilcox has

:07:02. > :07:04.done there. I think that is his third promotion with the football

:07:05. > :07:06.club, as player, coach and manager. So, he served his apprenticeship

:07:07. > :07:11.under Brian Laws, as such. Well done to both of the clubs. Yet,

:07:12. > :07:14.they had that massively long unbeaten run, did Scunthorpe, which

:07:15. > :07:17.recently came to an end, but they will be well served. They may be

:07:18. > :07:21.will do well in the division higher. And they may yet be joined by yet

:07:22. > :07:24.another of our clubs, York city. Terrific gesture from the club this

:07:25. > :07:28.week, they are going to pay for any of the 1,006 travelling supporters

:07:29. > :07:31.who want to go to the second leg at Fleetwood, they are going to shell

:07:32. > :07:34.out on the coach travel for them. What are their chances?

:07:35. > :07:38.What a fantastic job Nigel has done. As you just said they are, Gary, you

:07:39. > :07:42.are a York city fan, and they were 22nd when he took over. And what a

:07:43. > :07:48.fantastic job. Listen, momentum takes you through. They have been on

:07:49. > :07:52.a great run. You are saying there, will they get over the line? Who

:07:53. > :07:56.knows? I still think they are very much the

:07:57. > :08:00.underdogs. Fleetwood have got a far, far, bigger budget and bigger squad.

:08:01. > :08:03.It is a tough task, but it is good going in as the underdog. There is

:08:04. > :08:07.no pressure on you, just go and enjoy it. Give it your best shot.

:08:08. > :08:10.Bring on Saturday. And that first leg. So, all our League Two drama

:08:11. > :08:13.took place at the top, whilst in the Championship, we were focused on the

:08:14. > :08:17.bottom and Doncaster's bid to beat the drop. On Saturday, it came down

:08:18. > :08:20.to Paul Dickov's team having to match or better Birmingham's result

:08:21. > :08:23.at Bolton and they had to do it away to the champions, Leicester city.

:08:24. > :08:30.Paul Burland was there to take it all in.

:08:31. > :08:33.# Championi, championi! #. What a difference a year makes. The

:08:34. > :08:36.celebrations following what was arguably Doncaster Rovers' most

:08:37. > :08:39.memorable moment ` a dramatic season finale at Brentford. Staring defeat

:08:40. > :08:43.in the face one second? He has hit the crossbar amd missed it!

:08:44. > :08:47... And celebrating a promotion clinching goal, the next.

:08:48. > :08:50.He puts it into the empty net and Doncaster have won promotion to the

:08:51. > :08:51.Championship! Fast forward 12 months and utter

:08:52. > :09:00.dejection. Doncaster arrived at Leicester

:09:01. > :09:04.knowing that the hosts would be celebrating, come what may. But they

:09:05. > :09:07.knew that they would stay up of Birmingham, playing at Bolton,

:09:08. > :09:11.failed to better Rovers' result. # Staying up, staying up, Donny

:09:12. > :09:15.Rovers! # Staying up, staying up, I say! # Staying up, staying up, Donny

:09:16. > :09:20.Rovers! # Playing football in the Didcot way!

:09:21. > :09:23.The one thing I have got is a group of players who, every week, have

:09:24. > :09:27.given everything they have got. We have kept positive. I have just said

:09:28. > :09:31.to the lads, go out and work as hard as you can and do the best you can.

:09:32. > :09:35.And you know what, sometimes it goes for you. I will be getting told what

:09:36. > :09:39.is going on elsewhere. I think it would be stupid not to. I would be

:09:40. > :09:43.lying if I told you I was not bothered about other results. All we

:09:44. > :09:45.have to do is hope that we can get the result which means that we do

:09:46. > :09:52.not have to be looking elsewhere. The Rovers fans had dressed for a

:09:53. > :09:54.party. Others were dividing their attention between events at

:09:55. > :09:57.Leicester and those at Bolton, where, 56 minutes in, Lee Chung`yong

:09:58. > :09:59.put thel home side ahead, making Birmingham's relegation the more

:10:00. > :10:02.likely. Use quickly filtered through to the Rovers travelling army. But

:10:03. > :10:05.that was tempered when Leicester won a penalty at the expense of James

:10:06. > :10:13.Husband. David Nugent put the champions ahead. Doncaster were

:10:14. > :10:14.still above Birmingham by a single point, then, came another goal

:10:15. > :10:59.stewards, so medical help could be given. Sadly, he later died in

:11:00. > :11:19.hospital and has been named as Ray second.

:11:20. > :11:22.The shot! Zigic! Off the line! And in! Paul Caddis! Have Birmingham

:11:23. > :11:34.city done it? It meant Rovers slipped into the

:11:35. > :11:37.relegation zone on goal difference in the very final moments of the

:11:38. > :11:41.season. You know and I know, it was not the

:11:42. > :11:45.last minute today, it is over the course of 46 games.

:11:46. > :11:51.We have hung in there to the last minute of the last day, which may

:11:52. > :11:54.sound a little bit stupid, but it is of credit to the players. Everybody

:11:55. > :11:57.was expecting us to be down by now. The disappointing thing is that we

:11:58. > :12:01.have just come up a little bit short. I feel for everybody at the

:12:02. > :12:04.club and the fans. The fans were absolutely magnificent. We have been

:12:05. > :12:07.relegated in the last minute today and the standing ovation they gave

:12:08. > :12:13.the players was outstanding. There's not many clubs who would do that.

:12:14. > :12:16.I am disappointed. But we came to fight and we will fight another day.

:12:17. > :12:19.Absolutely gutted, but that is football. It was the same last year

:12:20. > :12:23.the other way, and it has happened to us today. Brentford missed a

:12:24. > :12:25.penalty in the last minute and we scored right afterwards. Birmingham

:12:26. > :12:28.scored an equaliser today and we are down.

:12:29. > :12:31.To lose like that. Straight to bed I think. You can forget about as going

:12:32. > :12:35.out on the town tonight. Disappointed. We had some good times

:12:36. > :12:39.in these 90 minutes. We heard that Birmingham were losing. But that is

:12:40. > :12:47.football, isn't it? We will be back, though. Super Donny

:12:48. > :12:50.Rovers, we will be back. Commiserations to all who have

:12:51. > :12:54.worked so hard at Doncaster Rovers the season. I know we cannot change

:12:55. > :12:57.anything, but there was one big incident at Leicester which settled

:12:58. > :13:00.the game. Should this have been a penalty?

:13:01. > :13:08.I think so. I think, as a defender, as soon as you dangle your leg, he

:13:09. > :13:10.has not got the ball. He has left his leg there.

:13:11. > :13:14.Is there contact? I think there is contact. John is

:13:15. > :13:24.not so sure. I actually think it is a penalty. We get three or four

:13:25. > :13:30.views of it. In live play, I think he has left his leg dangling. It is

:13:31. > :13:39.one of these things, when you are down at the bottom of the league,

:13:40. > :13:46.these things go against you. But the manager said that, it was not simply

:13:47. > :13:52.just about that penalty decision. But I remember, when they were

:13:53. > :13:55.leading 3`1, when the game get called off and then they lost their

:13:56. > :14:05.rescheduled one. Everything has gone against them. Even the last month or

:14:06. > :14:10.so. I know we sometimes see that players do not care, do the scenes

:14:11. > :14:18.at the Intel is differently? Does it hurt? Absolutely, for those guys, it

:14:19. > :14:28.is the loving, it is their job. It is a massive blow for everyone.

:14:29. > :14:35.Football has a habit of kicking you in the teeth. Swings and

:14:36. > :14:40.roundabouts. All the best to Doncaster in league one. Coming up `

:14:41. > :14:47.two goals but I have a twitter or cruise? Sheffield Wednesday tackle

:14:48. > :14:51.man on. And we have a brain. As Shakespeare would say, alas,

:14:52. > :14:54.forsooth. Before those poetic delights and League One, our other

:14:55. > :14:58.four sides from the Championship, no drama for them, nothing complicated.

:14:59. > :15:01.But Neil Morrow starts his round`up with a club for whom the word

:15:02. > :15:06.complicated was invented. Leeds United.

:15:07. > :15:11.As ever, Leeds fans turned up in numbers at Elland Road, but weren't

:15:12. > :15:14.they are there to make sure that their horror season was really and

:15:15. > :15:18.truly over? United 's players seemed as keen as the fans to get to the

:15:19. > :15:25.beach, awful defending let Simon Dawkins sneak Derby into the lead in

:15:26. > :15:27.the sixth minute. But County weren't overenthusiastic either, and five

:15:28. > :15:31.minutes into the second half Ross McCormack found Matt Smith and he

:15:32. > :15:37.checked Lee Grant to make it one each. Leeds fans can now relax for a

:15:38. > :15:40.while. All they have to wait for is news on Brian McDermot's future and

:15:41. > :15:46.a certain court judgement in Sardinia. Sheffield Wednesday seemed

:15:47. > :15:49.to put their cue in the rack sometime ago, survival after a

:15:50. > :15:52.wobbly start was secured after March but Stuart Gray will be disappointed

:15:53. > :15:57.that his players could not keep their run of good form going. The

:15:58. > :16:00.Earls went behind at Ipswich in the 37th minute, Tommy Smith scoring

:16:01. > :16:05.eventually after Wednesday failed to clear the danger. But the Owls go

:16:06. > :16:09.back into it ten minutes into the second half when Kieran Lee scored

:16:10. > :16:12.his first goal for the club. And the Sheffield side made enough chances

:16:13. > :16:15.to have got something out of the game. Halfway through the second

:16:16. > :16:19.half Paul Green headed home what proved to be the winner for the

:16:20. > :16:23.tractor men. Milan Mandaric wants to sell, Wednesday are definitely in

:16:24. > :16:25.need of some new investment. Huddersfield have consolidated their

:16:26. > :16:30.championship status this season, but recent results have left much to be

:16:31. > :16:35.desired. At Watford on Saturday particularly in the second half Town

:16:36. > :16:39.decided to have a party. In the 46th minute Joe Lolly put Huddersfield in

:16:40. > :16:43.front and soon after Lolly turned provider, kind of. Danny Ward

:16:44. > :16:48.probably did not expect to see this shot squirm in. And Ward's second

:16:49. > :16:51.also had a touch of fortune, but do not take anything away from this

:16:52. > :16:56.finish. Ward then completed his hat`trick with three minutes to go.

:16:57. > :17:01.But the good stay for the Watford goalkeeper. A great day for the

:17:02. > :17:04.Terriers. Troy Deeny scored in injury time for Watford but no

:17:05. > :17:08.matter, this was a lovely way for Town to go on their hols. The sun

:17:09. > :17:12.came out for Barnsley's final game in the championship against QPR, but

:17:13. > :17:16.two goals in two minutes near the end of the first half made for a

:17:17. > :17:19.gloomy affair despite the weather. Charlie Austin scored the first for

:17:20. > :17:22.the Londoners, and although Austin wanted to claim the second, that

:17:23. > :17:27.goal has to be chalked up to Barnsley 's Jean`Yves M'voto. Chris

:17:28. > :17:32.O'Grady who was Barnsley 's player of the year gave the Reds some hope

:17:33. > :17:36.in the 54th minute. But the revival was soon ended when QPR got their

:17:37. > :17:41.third. A brilliant individual goal by the South Korean, Yun Suk`young.

:17:42. > :17:45.O'Grady scored his second of the game late on to give Barnsley fans

:17:46. > :17:51.something to cheer. Just like their season, it was too little too late.

:17:52. > :17:55.It is a sorry bottom half of the table story all told, Leeds top of

:17:56. > :17:57.the cluster of our best placed teams in the football league and then

:17:58. > :18:00.below the dreaded dotted line, Doncaster go straight back down to

:18:01. > :18:08.League One and Barnsley are going there with them.

:18:09. > :18:12.So looking at the action from Saturday, Huddersfield town. They

:18:13. > :18:16.finished with a flourish, Danny Ward with the first hat`trick of his

:18:17. > :18:18.career as a substitute. And I guess all Huddersfield supporters are

:18:19. > :18:22.thinking, second win in 13 games. Where has this been? You go to

:18:23. > :18:25.Vicarage Road and it is a tough place to go, obviously both teams

:18:26. > :18:27.are not playing for anything but Mike Robinson might be thinking

:18:28. > :18:32.about, well, consistency, every week, you don't know. You wouldn't

:18:33. > :18:36.put them on your football coupon, would you? It is what every coach

:18:37. > :18:39.wants, consistency, and it seems to be the hardest thing to find. Yes,

:18:40. > :18:42.particularly in that division. All our teams are the same. Looking at

:18:43. > :18:45.all five teams, not one of them have been consistent. And talking about

:18:46. > :18:49.inconsistency, Sheffield Wednesday? What would be your end of season

:18:50. > :18:53.assessment? But what a fantastic job he has done. Do you think he has? He

:18:54. > :18:57.has done a fantastic job. I know him. He's a Withenshaw lad, he has

:18:58. > :19:01.taken over from Dave Jones and he has done a fantastic job. When he

:19:02. > :19:04.changes his style of play he has them down playing a bit more

:19:05. > :19:07.football as such. The priority of him taking the position there,

:19:08. > :19:12.Stewart, we all thought they must be involved in a relegation battle. He

:19:13. > :19:15.settled the ship enough for them to be comfortable so I think leave it

:19:16. > :19:20.with him and carry on next year. Don't mend what is not broken. With

:19:21. > :19:23.the last programme of the series, we have to, where we started, Leeds

:19:24. > :19:26.United. What happens there? This wasn't a bad result at the weekend

:19:27. > :19:30.against Derby, who have been flying. I guess it is impossible to assess

:19:31. > :19:32.them in the field and impossible to predict what happens next. You are

:19:33. > :19:36.talking 30,000 supporters, just short of that on Saturday, so

:19:37. > :19:39.obviously the fans are still behind them. A great performance against

:19:40. > :19:43.Derby County. End`to`end stuff. That could have been three all as such.

:19:44. > :19:46.So much can happen in the summer. Only Massimo Chelimo knows what is

:19:47. > :19:50.going to happen. One word answers from both of you. When we get back

:19:51. > :19:55.here in August, will Brian McDermott be the manager of Leeds United? I

:19:56. > :19:59.don't think so, I think it is a soap opera. Yes or no? I don't think so.

:20:00. > :20:03.Yes. We will take that. ?? new line It wouldn't be Late Kick Off without

:20:04. > :20:05.a final outing of Man On. This week it's Wednesday's Paul Corry and

:20:06. > :20:09.Caolan Lavery, twoof the younger Owls in the squad, but their age is

:20:10. > :20:13.no excuse for the response to question one.

:20:14. > :20:20.Paul Corry, centre midfielder. Caolan Lavery, striker. Tawny, Barn

:20:21. > :20:38.and Snowy are species of what animal? Penguins. People. Humans.

:20:39. > :20:47.Owls. What will Roy Hodgeson do on May the 12th? Announce his World Cup

:20:48. > :20:58.squad. Who is the leader of UKIP? Uh... Bill Clinton? I don't know.

:20:59. > :21:03.Mercredi is French for which day of the week? Wednesday. Who scored 62

:21:04. > :21:14.goals in 61 league games for Wednesday in the early 1950s? Hurst?

:21:15. > :21:21.O'Dell. They are not that old. Derek Dooley. Which city was buried after

:21:22. > :21:29.Mount Vesuvius erupted in 709A.D? It begins with a P, doesn't it? I have

:21:30. > :21:45.no idea. Bit like Portsmouth's nickname. Pompeii.

:21:46. > :21:54.I never thought I'd say this, but I'm going to miss Man On! A whole

:21:55. > :21:58.lot more than Rotherham will miss League One if they can win through

:21:59. > :21:59.the play`offs. Here are the Millers, the Blades and the Bantams, in

:22:00. > :22:07.action.and here's Neil Morrow again. Play`offs were alread assured for

:22:08. > :22:11.Rotherham, but they could confirm a home town second leg if they can win

:22:12. > :22:14.and other results went for them. And they started like a house on fire,

:22:15. > :22:20.Wes Thomas putting them one up inside 52 seconds. And halfway

:22:21. > :22:23.through the first half, Thomas found his and the Millers' second goal as

:22:24. > :22:28.Rotherham found the living was easy at the County ground. But somewhat

:22:29. > :22:31.against the run of play, Swindon pulled one back on the hour mark,

:22:32. > :22:37.Kari Arnason fouled Massimo Luongo and Michael Smith scored from the

:22:38. > :22:41.penalty spot. But an equaliser would have been a travesty and the Millers

:22:42. > :22:45.can now prepare for Preston in the playoffs. Sheffield United and

:22:46. > :22:48.Conventry was played in front of a big, holiday weekend crowd, enjoying

:22:49. > :22:51.the Bramwell Lane sunshine. The first half was a quiet affair, until

:22:52. > :22:54.Coventry took the lead in the 39th minute, through Nathan Delfouneso,

:22:55. > :23:01.but the Blade's resurgence through 2014 continued, Ryan Flynn levelling

:23:02. > :23:05.things in the 62nd minute. And Connor Coady was again involved for

:23:06. > :23:08.United's winner. Ben Davies with the clinical finish, the Blades miss

:23:09. > :23:12.promotion by one place, but it's been a great year so far for

:23:13. > :23:14.Sheffield United. Braford's visit to relegation threatened Tranmere was

:23:15. > :23:19.always likely to prove tricky against a side battling for their

:23:20. > :23:22.League One lives. And the Bantams fell behind when John McLoughlin

:23:23. > :23:27.allowed Matthew Pennington's effort to get past him in the seventh

:23:28. > :23:30.minute. But the tension of the relegation fight clearly got to

:23:31. > :23:33.Tranmere's Junior Brown, who was given a straight red card for this

:23:34. > :23:38.nasty tackle on Nathan Doyle after half an hour. Yet despite Bradford

:23:39. > :23:43.having a one man advantage, it took until nine minutes to go before they

:23:44. > :23:47.broke down 10`man Tranmere. Jon Stead's deflected shot beating the

:23:48. > :23:53.keeper. Tranmere still nearly won it, Jean`Louis Akpa Akpro missing a

:23:54. > :23:58.sitter. And with that, Rovers lost heart. Aaron McLean with a top

:23:59. > :24:04.drawer finish ending a highly satisfactory first season back in

:24:05. > :24:07.League One. So Rotherham up a notch to finish, which means that they

:24:08. > :24:10.will be at home in the second leg of their playoff semifinal, which will

:24:11. > :24:13.be against Simon Grayson's Preston North End. Sheffield United big

:24:14. > :24:16.favourites I would think for next season, whilst Bradford in the end

:24:17. > :24:18.can reflect on a top half finish and a good job done after getting

:24:19. > :24:32.promoted with Rotherham last season. Would you agree with that? Would you

:24:33. > :24:39.agree that we have done OK this season? I think so. I think the key

:24:40. > :24:46.will be getting Aaron McLean set. He has missed a lot of football. He is

:24:47. > :24:53.big shoes to fit. He has picked up after a slow start. He was chasing

:24:54. > :25:00.his fitness a little bit. He played a lot for all city, when you play a

:25:01. > :25:06.lot there it is on the park. He has a great pro. He is a fit lad. Once

:25:07. > :25:11.you start playing games, he is a goal`scorer. Art the well set to

:25:12. > :25:17.take it further? It depends how much he has to spend. I do not know what

:25:18. > :25:21.Phil has but I think he will look to bring in some loan players for the

:25:22. > :25:25.season. We know Sheffield United are well set, we have made them

:25:26. > :25:29.favourites for next season. We'll Rotherham still be in league one?

:25:30. > :25:36.What are their chances against Preston? It will be difficult. Simon

:25:37. > :25:41.Preston has them going very well. They are the strongest team in the

:25:42. > :25:48.play`offs. If they beat Preston... Great result at the weekend. If they

:25:49. > :25:52.beat Preston they will get promoted. Evans gets results. Like John said,

:25:53. > :26:00.they are favourites, Preston. The squad we have. Grayson is a

:26:01. > :26:05.fantastic man. If they get past Preston they will do it? At the

:26:06. > :26:14.overcome that they have a chance. As John said, there is pressure. The

:26:15. > :26:19.good thing is they are going into the play`offs on form. That counts

:26:20. > :26:23.for a lot. They are getting results. If you are going in on form you have

:26:24. > :26:28.a chance. Fingers crossed for Rotherham United. These are the

:26:29. > :26:33.upcoming fixtures, the play`offs for Rotherham at York with them going to

:26:34. > :26:39.Deepdale on Saturday. The return leg is one week on Thursday. Your car at

:26:40. > :26:45.home on Saturday night and on the second leg they go to the set `` to

:26:46. > :26:50.the West Coast. If you can't make is to see them, BBC radio Sheffield and

:26:51. > :26:52.radio York will have all the news and every cake covered.

:26:53. > :26:55.That's almost it from us for another season.my thanks to John and Dean

:26:56. > :26:58.for their company and insight as ever. And we're going to leave you

:26:59. > :27:01.with some wise words of contemplation from Ian McMillan, the

:27:02. > :27:12.Bard of Barnsley. The Tykes are down, but like all our sides `

:27:13. > :27:17.they'll be back. Good night. This season has been a long goodbye

:27:18. > :27:23.and now beneath an unforgiving Barnsley sky we had met at the table

:27:24. > :27:28.does not live. Instead defeat in the face has helped our eyes. It was not

:27:29. > :27:32.much like watching Brazil, 17 years since we won promotion in the town

:27:33. > :27:37.was filled with such promotion, her tears of joy made a Barnsley Ocean,

:27:38. > :27:43.our games where Barnsley poet in motion. It was like watching Brazil.

:27:44. > :27:46.Now for the older fellow and the callow youth your uncle Trevor and

:27:47. > :27:54.anti`roads as Shakespeare would say alas forces the table tells the

:27:55. > :28:00.blinding truth. It is not like watching Brazil. It is a terrible

:28:01. > :28:04.word is relegation, championship train has left the station. And

:28:05. > :28:09.began the season with such anticipation I am left with a

:28:10. > :28:15.feeling of pure deflation. It was hardly like watching Brazil. Some

:28:16. > :28:20.seasons are epic. This one has been a farce. As southerners would say we

:28:21. > :28:24.have been outclassed. We could not string together a single pass so I

:28:25. > :28:29.will spend the summer sitting on my... City. And watch the World Cup

:28:30. > :28:34.from Brazil. But before we know it will start again and rental flow

:28:35. > :28:39.from your gaming and in the 11 men will play 11 men and they will score

:28:40. > :28:40.Main and we will score ten and it might be like watching Brazil. It

:28:41. > :29:19.made! Be like watching Brazil. and the grand final with me,

:29:20. > :29:19.Graham Norton. My fellow friends, it's time

:29:20. > :29:21.to get your glad rags on, invite your friends over,

:29:22. > :29:25.and bring out the hors d'oeuvres, because this is one party

:29:26. > :29:27.you don't want to miss. Eurovision!

:29:28. > :29:31.And the UK's 2014 entry, Molly! Catch the semifinals with

:29:32. > :29:38.Scott Mills and Laura Whitmore, and the grand final with me,

:29:39. > :29:44.Graham Norton. With Molly,

:29:45. > :29:48.the UK could finally win.
