:00:35. > :00:40.Hello again. Day three of the data that Masters. With it came one of

:00:41. > :00:46.the juiciest tie of the opening round. -- Day three of The Masters.

:00:47. > :00:50.Ding Junhui has had a fantastic season, winning three major titles

:00:51. > :00:55.in the row. That has not been done since the Stephen Hendry 20 years

:00:56. > :01:02.ago. He took on Shaun Murphy, a runner-up in this event a few years

:01:03. > :01:06.ago. Sean is the slimline version, after shedding three stones over the

:01:07. > :01:11.past few months. There was a way to go after an hour and 20 minutes of

:01:12. > :01:16.delay after a power cut here at Alexandra Palace. And they got

:01:17. > :01:17.going, it was worth the wait. Let's enjoy this in the company of our

:01:18. > :01:26.commentators. This should be an absolutely

:01:27. > :01:36.cracking match. They are so evenly matched. First shot on the table and

:01:37. > :01:42.his judgement is good. He has the white ball almost typed on the

:01:43. > :01:47.cushion. Ding Junhui is informed this year. Three ranking titles in a

:01:48. > :01:58.row. The first one since Stephen Hendry 20 years ago. And the lean

:01:59. > :02:06.machine, Shaun Murphy. He attempted this long hot. It looks very fit,

:02:07. > :02:11.doesn't he? Yes and his game is in good order as well. The maximum

:02:12. > :02:20.break last week in the championship league. That YouTube is certainly

:02:21. > :02:27.working to him. -- new cue. This is a brilliant round. This one and the

:02:28. > :02:29.Robinson game should be a classic. Other games are good but these two

:02:30. > :02:47.stood out. He would rather not catch the middle

:02:48. > :02:56.pocket because he was coming nicely for the black. A good cue. Just

:02:57. > :03:04.hitting the pocket there. He has left the wrong side of the blue.

:03:05. > :03:22.That is just the five points and a safety shot.

:03:23. > :03:31.The crowd is... They have been fantastic. While we had the power

:03:32. > :03:38.outage, they were still in great form. They had to leave the arena

:03:39. > :03:42.and Bree brought back in again. That reminded me, to me back to the 70s.

:03:43. > :03:47.-- and be brought back in. It reminds me when it was all lands

:03:48. > :03:54.that the working men's club. Nobody knew how many breaks were made.

:03:55. > :04:09.That has opened up the reds nicely. It looks like the black is

:04:10. > :04:12.available. Not an easy shot. One of those shots that could define a

:04:13. > :04:18.match. Not this one in smoothly and get yourself in the black. He looks

:04:19. > :04:35.good on top of the table but he will get some confidence from it.

:04:36. > :04:47.Decided to screw back for the blue. There really the length that he was

:04:48. > :04:53.faced with. It was that if he did not knock the white back, he would

:04:54. > :04:54.be safe. It has worked out perfectly in the blue. He could not play that

:04:55. > :05:56.won any better. It is a great chance this. I don't

:05:57. > :06:05.know if he has the angle to play that raid. He screwed back and it

:06:06. > :06:07.didn't hit it hard. This red went right down at six o'clock if you use

:06:08. > :06:23.the cue ball as a clock face. The black and white ball showing you

:06:24. > :06:28.as it stops and picks up pace and keeps on spinning. He has gotten rid

:06:29. > :06:43.of that raid. He looks like he is in fine fettle

:06:44. > :06:51.full of a good touch. This is a good chance.

:06:52. > :06:59.They have played on 15 occasions, these two. Shaun Murphy was one draw

:07:00. > :07:03.in the lead but it is five times since 2012 that he has fought Ding

:07:04. > :07:05.Junhui. He started poorly against Shaun Murphy that has had the upper

:07:06. > :07:26.hand in the last matches. They have only played once in The

:07:27. > :07:28.Masters and that was 2009. Ding Junhui one that six - four. That was

:07:29. > :07:44.at the same stage as this match. It was interestingly played their

:07:45. > :07:49.last shot. I thought he might have played that low and opened it out

:07:50. > :07:52.and he has done it differently. He needs a good tanning. It is a shop

:07:53. > :08:01.where you need to stump up into these.

:08:02. > :08:08.That is very clever. He used to the left side of the bunch. They had

:08:09. > :08:13.that red as insurance. A better shot than mine. He has left himself

:08:14. > :08:15.perfect on the red in the middle and opened up to reds in the back of the

:08:16. > :08:28.cluster. Very well thought out. Is one of the greatest break

:08:29. > :08:38.builders now. 57 centuries last season. He is already on 39 this

:08:39. > :08:45.season. That is the textbook stands that he has stopped more

:08:46. > :08:53.traditional. He is very simplistic, isn't it? When done well, it looks

:08:54. > :08:54.simple. Might make good stamps, good cue action and he keeps the head

:08:55. > :09:01.still. His brakes have the cue ball closer

:09:02. > :09:05.to the object ball than most players. It makes all the pots

:09:06. > :09:11.easier. There is his stand. White stance.

:09:12. > :09:31.Like Joe Davis. He keeps his head so still on this

:09:32. > :09:40.shot. Great champions seem to start well. We mentioned that if you knock

:09:41. > :09:47.those in it gives you confidence. Here is an example of it. He has

:09:48. > :10:24.been exceptional in this break. He is exceptional on his shots. He

:10:25. > :10:42.really is, the way he goes about his break building.

:10:43. > :10:54.Coming up to seven minutes for this frame winning effort.

:10:55. > :11:03.He just needs to keep Shaun Murphy sitting in his chair. Shaun Murphy

:11:04. > :11:15.is playing well. He is keeping cold. Not all the balls in.

:11:16. > :11:19.He might have an angle here to screw back and dislodge the red. He can do

:11:20. > :11:36.this. Playing up the reverse side. Does the red pass on the yellow? Or

:11:37. > :11:44.does he cut it into the other corner. He has had to cut into the

:11:45. > :11:49.other corner. What a shame. No century break but what a way to

:11:50. > :11:57.start! He knocked in a long red and had a match for a frame winning

:11:58. > :12:29.break of 99 and leaves 1-0. -- leads.

:12:30. > :12:41.This is a superb shot to leave himself perfectly on the blue.

:12:42. > :12:52.He had to win his winning matches from the knee. Fantastic performance

:12:53. > :13:00.just to win one ranking events these days. He is very special.

:13:01. > :13:13.That was the view of the opening raid which he had. That was the shot

:13:14. > :13:53.where he screwed back to get back towards the blue.

:13:54. > :14:06.Too thick. Or safety. Pretty sure he can get past this red, can he? If

:14:07. > :14:13.not, the one above the pink which would definitely get into the pot.

:14:14. > :14:20.He needs to get safety shots better than that.

:14:21. > :14:34.He was close to the cushion but then would be better than thicker --

:14:35. > :14:39.thinner. The fact that the other wasn't over the big pocket, it would

:14:40. > :14:45.be difficult... Ding Junhui is in with a good

:14:46. > :14:55.-- good chance. It is funny game. He had a good shot and then one shot

:14:56. > :15:00.later, he was at mercy. Sometimes you can play the best shot of a

:15:01. > :15:28.match and then lose a frame from it. A strange game, at times.

:15:29. > :15:36.He used thinking quite a few shots, Ding Junhui. He is walking around

:15:37. > :15:43.the blackspot area and what he can do for those shots.

:15:44. > :15:51.Get this red away from the corner pocket. He may eventually be able to

:15:52. > :15:55.get on a red and get away from the left of the black to get it

:15:56. > :16:07.available into the pocket he is clearing when he pops this one.

:16:08. > :16:16.It would be interesting to see how we gets about this. They might look

:16:17. > :16:22.all but are not ideal at the moment. -- all right. Clever shot in the

:16:23. > :16:24.last frame. A sure that there will be a few more in this. He will get

:16:25. > :16:36.over the line. He might just tie the pink up now. I

:16:37. > :16:58.think that it will only be available into the left pocket.

:16:59. > :17:02.Can he bring this black interplay now? He seems to have a good angle

:17:03. > :17:21.on this. A little good fortune. He didn't get it. They say he didn't

:17:22. > :17:26.get it but if it is straight, he might be able to get on it. It

:17:27. > :17:28.knocked the black away, so I understand why he did what he did.

:17:29. > :17:47.This will have to be good. It was so easy to push this one.

:17:48. > :17:53.They were so close together. He did it well.

:17:54. > :18:01.He is now in business. That was a good shot.

:18:02. > :18:07.If he cues like it in the first frame, I feel the worst for Shaun

:18:08. > :18:13.Murphy. This could be 2-0 in a blink. As you mentioned, he played a

:18:14. > :18:15.poor safety shot but he covered the red over the pocket and Shaun was

:18:16. > :18:29.forced to try the other pot. Shan wobbled it in the jaws. This is

:18:30. > :18:33.where psychology plays such a big part in the game. Shaun would have

:18:34. > :18:40.been expecting to pot over the pocket. He knew he had to get that.

:18:41. > :18:46.It is all about positive thinking. Easier said than done. When working

:18:47. > :18:50.with a sports psychologist, he can tell you what to do but when you get

:18:51. > :18:58.into the bearpit as they used to say, it is not always used -- Nottle

:18:59. > :19:24.is easy to pull it off. -- not always.

:19:25. > :19:37.He just needs to make sure he is on the next read here.

:19:38. > :19:43.He should be fine on the bottom one. He also got it into the centre here.

:19:44. > :19:54.He has got two choices. That is what a top professional

:19:55. > :19:59.does. They are thinking five or six shots ahead. They are putting

:20:00. > :20:03.themselves in a position that you mentioned, John, they do have a

:20:04. > :20:11.choice to change their mind and have the alternative. Just looking that

:20:12. > :20:15.if he goes to raid on the right, the advantage is that he would clear the

:20:16. > :20:19.path for the pink. That means he could get the pink. The pink will go

:20:20. > :20:20.after this is removed. That is another help. Straight through the

:20:21. > :20:35.gap. A fact. He missed a trick once, Denis, but I

:20:36. > :20:48.don't know what your was. -- what year it was.

:20:49. > :20:58.His break building is best described as an economy of effort. The ball

:20:59. > :21:03.travels less distant than anyone else. He slightly overscrew that

:21:04. > :21:08.one. He got a bit of extra side on that. He pleaded with quite a bit of

:21:09. > :21:12.side as you can see when it hits of the cushion. Instead of coming

:21:13. > :21:15.straight off, it comes off at an angle. It should be OK but he wanted

:21:16. > :21:44.it to be straighter, I think. Is he on anything other than the one

:21:45. > :21:48.he just cannoned? I am praising his break building but that previous

:21:49. > :21:53.shot was not up to his usual standards and it left a miss. You

:21:54. > :21:58.have to trust a little luck with the cannon which you get. It is as if he

:21:59. > :22:08.wants to cut this into the middle pocket rather than in the corner.

:22:09. > :22:16.Quite a thin snake, that one. That has worked out. OK, he has an angle

:22:17. > :22:21.on the yellow. We have often said that if you play well, you get to go

:22:22. > :22:24.for other balls. To hit the yellow like that and leave an angle to come

:22:25. > :22:27.down the table, that is a massive slice. It could easily have entered

:22:28. > :22:43.the break. This is a bit hefty. Playing for the red at the back,

:22:44. > :22:47.isn't he? He has an alternate shot, though. This was the one where he

:22:48. > :22:51.cut it in at an acute angle, right up in the corner. The cannon on the

:22:52. > :23:04.yellow work to perfection. That is a good shot. Somebody has

:23:05. > :23:26.the cue ball back down. No real reason he shouldn't clean up

:23:27. > :23:33.this frame. Some shops went slightly awry but he is in prime position

:23:34. > :23:35.now. He came up one point short of the century in the opening frame.

:23:36. > :23:56.Another great chance. Make sure the frame first and then

:23:57. > :24:02.concentrate on the possible century. An excellent start from the Chinese

:24:03. > :24:13.sensation. Shaun Murphy has had one go at a pot and that is about it,

:24:14. > :24:18.really. It is about 50 balls to nil. You know that that is what happens

:24:19. > :24:24.at this level. One player playing as well as he can do and you just sit

:24:25. > :24:28.and watch. It is not like golf where if someone makes a birdie and you

:24:29. > :24:32.can make your own. You just have to sit and watch. He is perfectly

:24:33. > :24:38.capable and knows that when his chance comes, he will score. That is

:24:39. > :24:42.where the temperament comes in. When you are sitting in your seat and

:24:43. > :24:46.watching your opponent make framing breaks, you have to get yourself

:24:47. > :24:52.psyched up. And hope that you can do the same. Keep him in his seat. At

:24:53. > :25:02.the moment, he has not had an easy chance, Shaun.

:25:03. > :25:08.A delicate shot into the left middle pocket now. It goes in and he holds

:25:09. > :25:18.onto the black or pink, he will get the century. Once again, very

:25:19. > :25:24.unlucky with regards to the century break. One chance was all he needed

:25:25. > :25:35.and he made a break of 84 and Ding Junhui now leads 2-0.

:25:36. > :25:52.Off we go then with frame and number three.

:25:53. > :25:56.You can see that Shaun Murphy had to score, not that he has had any

:25:57. > :26:05.chances. A bit on the thin side. He needs the

:26:06. > :26:14.brown to come to his rescue here. It is not going to.

:26:15. > :26:21.I hate to say that this is a chance. The way things have been playing the

:26:22. > :26:28.balls, there are plenty of red is available already at the top of the

:26:29. > :26:32.table. At least five available other than the one he has taken. Another

:26:33. > :27:01.chance could be on its way. He felt that the only one he could

:27:02. > :27:02.take on is the one he took. The first chance for the magician, Shaun

:27:03. > :27:16.Murphy. His first shot is not a good one. He

:27:17. > :27:21.wanted to be further out into the table. To have a better black than

:27:22. > :27:26.this. He is now going to have to rely on a cannon. And example of the

:27:27. > :27:32.shot catching the jaws and going across in the upper.

:27:33. > :27:35.He needed his first shot to be higher in the table but he played

:27:36. > :27:56.that beautifully. It is even worse this time. Mr

:27:57. > :28:07.urging that cannon and hitting it too hard.

:28:08. > :28:15.Is judgement that. He has played the tweaks to and between the shots.

:28:16. > :28:26.Lots to be done with the cue ball here.

:28:27. > :28:31.Just trying to hold for the red to the right of the bunch just by

:28:32. > :28:39.dropping the black in but it was not an easy pot by any means. It was a

:28:40. > :28:43.bit thick. To the far jaw, what he is thinking here is a chance because

:28:44. > :28:48.if he's done that in, you can play this with bottom and right hand side

:28:49. > :28:54.straight into the back of the pack and splatter the red everywhere. One

:28:55. > :29:11.good pot, still in the red and he has a great chance to split up the

:29:12. > :29:16.pack if he wants to. He cued right across that. He was playing your

:29:17. > :29:23.shot but he missed the plot by a long way. That is the sort of shot

:29:24. > :29:31.that saps a little bit of confidence are way. He did not push the cue

:29:32. > :29:36.through on a straight-line. And now Shaun Murphy can do what John said.

:29:37. > :29:47.Pot the black off the cushion into the bench. And how is your? It has

:29:48. > :29:54.certainly opened up the reds. He played that nicely and that, as I

:29:55. > :30:03.say, is a massive -- massive let off for Shaun Murphy. As you say Dennis,

:30:04. > :30:11.hit across that red, that is absolutely lovely. That was a big

:30:12. > :30:21.part of the frame and the match, really. He is definitely on top

:30:22. > :30:26.that, Ding, but he has let it go. It is very early on but there are

:30:27. > :30:38.points in the match that can turn it all around. Maybe as JP mention,

:30:39. > :30:48.that will be one of the shots. It is imperative that Shaun Murphy

:30:49. > :30:56.capitalises on that mistake there. He has been playing with a new cue

:30:57. > :31:02.this season, Shaun Murphy. He said there is nothing wrong with the cue,

:31:03. > :31:07.it has just been me. He said I have not been playing as well as I can do

:31:08. > :31:12.but there is nothing wrong with the cue, he is really happy with it. He

:31:13. > :31:20.has been working with Chris Henry for the last few months, factors in

:31:21. > :31:22.hard and working on the technique. I remember practising with Shaun

:31:23. > :31:32.Murphy when he first came on the scene and I thought he had some of

:31:33. > :31:34.the best cue action in the game. A lovely player to watch when he is

:31:35. > :32:23.flowing. And when he is in a month the balls,

:32:24. > :32:38.he certainly does not hang around, very quick around the table. 20

:32:39. > :32:43.seconds and 21 that will probably come down the way Sean is going

:32:44. > :32:49.around the table at the moment. He may have had a late start here today

:32:50. > :33:01.but these boys are making up for it, Dennis. Four frames to be played

:33:02. > :33:23.before the mid-session interval. It is coming up to 32 minutes.

:33:24. > :33:32.I think if you are starting off playing snooker and wanted to look

:33:33. > :33:36.at a few of the players and how they go about it and how they cue, I am

:33:37. > :33:46.pretty sure Shaun Murphy would be on top of your list. A nice pause,

:33:47. > :34:08.through the ball, a beautiful strike.

:34:09. > :34:18.Sean made 33 centuries last year and he is going to have to pull a good

:34:19. > :34:23.pot out here if he is going to give himself a chance for a century. Not

:34:24. > :34:32.quite. But he will not be concerned about that. Ding made that careless

:34:33. > :34:56.mistake and Shaun Murphy punished him for it.

:34:57. > :35:03.What we expected here this afternoon, really, to top-class

:35:04. > :35:08.players who have both been in excellent form. It looks like it was

:35:09. > :35:29.going to be a great match and so far it is living up to the billing.

:35:30. > :35:40.May not be on the collar, but I tell you what, marking that red, Ding

:35:41. > :35:44.quickly forgot about the one he missed in the previous round. That

:35:45. > :35:51.will restore his confidence, without a doubt. A bit awkward, reaching

:35:52. > :36:19.over the pack here. He does not much to do with the blue.

:36:20. > :36:31.Don't blame him. In this awkward bridging. There was the distance

:36:32. > :37:16.from that opening pot. It is a safety shot you have to be

:37:17. > :37:22.careful with. A few reds are going to open, make sure you don't promote

:37:23. > :37:59.one of them to a corner. He did that really well.

:38:00. > :38:08.That is the second one down at side of the table that Ding was hitting

:38:09. > :38:14.the thick side. I don't think it is too much damage he is not really

:38:15. > :38:17.putting much pressure on Shaun Murphy by putting the cue on that

:38:18. > :38:45.bottom rail. The cue ball is closed. -- close it

:38:46. > :38:56.will only really cost him four points because Ding was playing a

:38:57. > :39:01.safety shot here. He can play this one round the angles that he wants

:39:02. > :39:35.inside the blue or he could clip a fair and, just how he sees it.

:39:36. > :39:47.A good shot, this. He had eight league target but that is the right

:39:48. > :40:00.way to play it around the angles. As long as he got the cue ball there,

:40:01. > :40:12.he knew it was going to be safe. He has got to be so precise with this.

:40:13. > :40:24.That looks pretty good, this is a to Rick Victor shot. A superb safety

:40:25. > :40:30.shot. That is fabulous. They could not be a better safety shot played

:40:31. > :40:41.in this match. What a good shot that was. He has turned a very dangerous

:40:42. > :40:45.position there into his advantage. And just looking at the situation,

:40:46. > :40:47.Shaun Murphy cannot come off the back cushion and land on the red

:40:48. > :41:10.because the black is in the way. That is what he is faced with there.

:41:11. > :41:23.He might have to take this pot on because there is no safety.

:41:24. > :41:35.What a pot that was. That is a Shaun Murphy special. That is one of the

:41:36. > :41:41.reasons that he is called the Magician. He certainly waved his

:41:42. > :41:49.magic wand there. That was the length of the pot -- pot. Close on

:41:50. > :41:59.the cushion, that was a little beauty.

:42:00. > :42:05.He is just checking to see where he leaves the cue ball to cover the red

:42:06. > :42:13.on that right hand side. For the next shot, Ding may have the

:42:14. > :42:19.opportunity to play behind the green again. That was a brilliant shot he

:42:20. > :42:28.played last time. Shaun Murphy is taking the opportunity here now.

:42:29. > :42:32.They realise they are putting the cue ball on the left-hand side is no

:42:33. > :42:41.good, and what a good job he made of it. This time, Ding can come off

:42:42. > :42:45.that side mission that Shaun Murphy could have cleared but the black was

:42:46. > :42:51.in the way, this time it is not. But he will have to be very precise. If

:42:52. > :43:03.it comes off the side cushion he could just nestle in the red.

:43:04. > :43:17.Deadweight would be good. He did not follow your lined their, Dennis,

:43:18. > :43:27.see. So close, that. Just a slight adjustment, just skidding a little

:43:28. > :43:35.bit off the first cushion. You can see the lined their, it is just a

:43:36. > :43:40.case, really of playing contained safety and getting out of trouble.

:43:41. > :43:45.You should not be leaving your opponent in the balls after this

:43:46. > :43:51.one. I think if you just went slightly above that first one. He

:43:52. > :44:05.has not hit it hard enough this time. It got the lion this time.

:44:06. > :44:12.One thing he had to do was make sure there was enough pace on the cue

:44:13. > :44:18.ball. As you can see, that is a big mistake. From what should have been

:44:19. > :44:41.an easy shot for someone of Ding's expertise.

:44:42. > :44:46.The black won't be tied up, it will still be available in one corner

:44:47. > :44:51.pocket and he decided to get the pink and red in the open there but

:44:52. > :45:02.it did not bite get enough screw on it. He can drop this in and get on

:45:03. > :45:07.the black, I think. The other one closest to the pocket is available

:45:08. > :45:14.too, it would be lovely from this drag shot here. He just dragged it,

:45:15. > :45:20.held the cue ball. The drag shot is when you hit the white on the bottom

:45:21. > :45:24.and you can play with a little bit more pace and it does take the pace

:45:25. > :45:29.out of it. It is a lovely shot to watch. It looks straightforward, a

:45:30. > :45:54.lot of people would not even know it has happened, really.

:45:55. > :46:03.Interesting that, I am pretty sure if he splits those two reds above

:46:04. > :46:10.those reds. He decided not to play those cards. It seemed an ideal

:46:11. > :46:17.opportunity just to flip those two reds open. He is going to come to

:46:18. > :46:54.those a little later. This is a delicate little cannon

:46:55. > :47:07.required. In between the two reds would be perfect rather than hitting

:47:08. > :47:12.one red. He has played it nicely. We thought this was going to be a great

:47:13. > :47:25.match, it is turning out to be a terrific battle.

:47:26. > :47:42.Another little cannon required here. Can he finished this frame with one

:47:43. > :47:47.visit? It just shows, you don't need to make too many mistakes at this

:47:48. > :47:54.level. He certainly made one there, not reaching over the cue ball. The

:47:55. > :47:58.last frame he had that medium red, he just had to stun and hope for the

:47:59. > :48:07.black which he did not get. He made those two mistakes, that is it. For

:48:08. > :48:11.all the world, it looks like it might even go to a deciding frame

:48:12. > :48:20.the way these two players are playing. I think he has run out of

:48:21. > :48:30.position. He is quickly looking at the scoreboard. That spoiled the

:48:31. > :48:37.chance of a century. There are still 67 possible points on the board.

:48:38. > :48:40.Lucky for Shaun Murphy, he is ahead. He would be kicking himself, he

:48:41. > :48:45.wants to get this over as quickly as possible. He will give himself the

:48:46. > :49:02.mental anguish here if he is not careful. If you they don't pay you

:49:03. > :49:22.for overtime in this sport. A good break of 64 though.

:49:23. > :49:32.How would you know about overtime? Your last job was a school prefect.

:49:33. > :50:19.I was good at it though. If he can not be as Reading then we

:50:20. > :50:30.can all go to the intermission interval.

:50:31. > :51:04.When Ding was up, he had Shaun Murphy on the rack. It was looking

:51:05. > :51:09.like three nil and big trouble. But he did not. Shaun Murphy has been in

:51:10. > :51:17.the ascendancy since then. They are both in the 90s. That is a

:51:18. > :51:41.good standing. Ding was the slight favourite for

:51:42. > :51:47.this but, as I said at the beginning, it is difficult to pick a

:51:48. > :51:55.winner. It does not matter about the red. The players go off for the

:51:56. > :52:30.interval and they are in fine form. It is too each, game on.

:52:31. > :52:40.No real problem that he is on the wrong side of the blue because there

:52:41. > :52:44.are plenty of reds available. Any position on the right side of the

:52:45. > :52:52.table, as long as he is past the blue. He has a wide margin for error

:52:53. > :52:59.here. See the side there, right hand side swinging it off. Baulk and site

:53:00. > :53:05.cushion. He could have been a little bit closer to the next red though. I

:53:06. > :53:14.suppose when you have such a good cue action, it does not bother you

:53:15. > :53:20.so much. But it did. You are absolutely right. There is no reason

:53:21. > :53:29.why he should not have got closer. It is all about trying to make it as

:53:30. > :53:33.easy as possible for yourself. I think this is a very important visit

:53:34. > :53:41.for Ding here. He needs to re-establish himself in this match.

:53:42. > :53:46.He needs to make a nice frame winning contribution if he can. Just

:53:47. > :53:59.to tell himself he is playing well again. Straightaway, he has come up

:54:00. > :54:16.short so it is a change of plan up for the blue. Which might not be a

:54:17. > :54:23.bad thing. In fact, looking at that bunch, that to go at them the blue

:54:24. > :54:28.rather than the black. He has a red available at he may go for those

:54:29. > :54:33.reds just behind the pink spot. If he wants to, just thinking about

:54:34. > :54:55.it, he does not have to do that. It would open up the game.

:54:56. > :55:05.He did not get to the cannon as he wanted, he hit the wrong red. If you

:55:06. > :55:12.are playing the cannon, you need to be hitting the middle red. He has

:55:13. > :55:22.found the red in the centre that sticks through. And it is there.

:55:23. > :55:26.Even better, Dennis, a little cannon up into the three and these are

:55:27. > :55:54.going to be there for the taking. It was interesting to wait Ding

:55:55. > :56:01.playback. He played that very slowly and it has turned out all right. I

:56:02. > :56:05.thought he would have played that a little firmer just to guarantee that

:56:06. > :56:13.it wasn't stuck behind there but it turned out all right.

:56:14. > :56:22.They are all clearing each other, as he was a red he is clearing another

:56:23. > :56:28.one. Maybe that is why he is taking the risk with the cannon. Sometimes,

:56:29. > :56:32.you can get a little nudge and just run out of position. He knows he can

:56:33. > :56:39.clear the path for a number red as he pots one.

:56:40. > :56:49.This time he will have to play a cannon on the way through, important

:56:50. > :56:53.that he does get enough pace on it. It will be interesting to see if he

:56:54. > :57:01.puts another one on here and what angle he has got. If he thinks he is

:57:02. > :57:06.only going to favour the red. It looks all right. That was a little

:57:07. > :57:10.thicker than I thought but it was perfect. He will kick himself if he

:57:11. > :57:52.does not win the frame from here. Two very easy read is available to

:57:53. > :58:02.Ding which would be enough to leave Shaun Murphy at the snookers

:58:03. > :58:05.required stage. I think earlier in this frame when Ding tried to drop

:58:06. > :58:15.the blue in and left it short in the middle pocket, he felt that he had

:58:16. > :58:22.made a terrible mistake but... Shaun Murphy also made a mistake. I think

:58:23. > :58:26.it is pulling a pattern. Despite them following superbly well, it is

:58:27. > :58:40.often... It is always the same. If you can

:58:41. > :58:46.lessen your mistakes, you have a better chance of winning. Another

:58:47. > :59:02.frame virtually one with a single visit.

:59:03. > :59:09.Shaun Murphy is coming back to the table but with a lot of snookers in

:59:10. > :59:16.the pocket of the Ding Junhui. There are several four point snookers. I

:59:17. > :59:24.am surprised that Shaun is carrying on. From Ding's point of view, this

:59:25. > :59:40.is what the doctor ordered. He breaks with highpoints in the first

:59:41. > :00:03.friends. -- in the first two frames. Shaun is still in the big match.

:00:04. > :00:12.Does not a bad colours. From the right side of the table, this is

:00:13. > :00:21.slightly more difficult. -- of those are not the bad colours.

:00:22. > :00:25.We call a Shaun Murphy and magician. He will need to be to win this

:00:26. > :00:40.frame. Behind with one red up. Suppose that it has been done before

:00:41. > :00:48.but percentagewise, one or two in the 100, maybe?

:00:49. > :01:01.He needs to win several four point snookers to win. If the player

:01:02. > :01:04.misses all the slippers... If they hit 50% of them, it would be more

:01:05. > :01:17.than four sneakers needed. This should be the end.

:01:18. > :01:48.Ding will have some potting practice now.

:01:49. > :01:57.Ding will clear them up in a straightforward way. Some players

:01:58. > :02:00.like to play exhibition chops to finish off. That is not in Ding's

:02:01. > :02:34.nature. There is the lot gone in. If you

:02:35. > :02:38.miss shots from both players but in the end, Ding Junhui has a break of

:02:39. > :03:07.70 and it taken another frame with one visit and leads 3-2.

:03:08. > :03:14.You can't play a better shot than that. That was superb from Ding.

:03:15. > :03:19.Time to put all that has gone before at the back of your mind. Just the

:03:20. > :03:27.one here to clinch the frame. The white is awkward. Pot that and to

:03:28. > :03:31.get on the black was brilliant. It seems that the ones that were

:03:32. > :03:35.difficult where he needed concentration, he has not those in.

:03:36. > :03:42.Some of the easy shots, he has missed.

:03:43. > :04:13.He has been a professional for just over nine years. He has this focus

:04:14. > :04:28.back with him again. No substitute for experience.

:04:29. > :04:36.I can't help thinking that that last chance that Shaun Murphy had will be

:04:37. > :04:39.very costly indeed. You can feel as if the momentum had swung his way

:04:40. > :04:46.and if he could just mind his work as they used to say. If he had

:04:47. > :05:09.scored within two shots but the cue ball had gone again.

:05:10. > :05:17.His mind must be scrambled at the moment.

:05:18. > :05:56.That wasn't pressure. That was just a lapse in concentration.

:05:57. > :06:01.Not a straightforward run to the winning line, the fact that all of

:06:02. > :06:08.the winning colours are offered those spots with the exception of

:06:09. > :06:15.the pink and black. -- are off those spots. It does mean that you have a

:06:16. > :06:19.little more work to do with the positional side of things on this

:06:20. > :06:27.clearance. In an ideal world, he would be playing on the brown. The

:06:28. > :06:31.brown would go near the green and yellow would be simple. Keeping it

:06:32. > :07:02.simple might be a good idea. He has looked at the brown but it

:07:03. > :07:06.just means he would be further away from the yellow. If he takes the

:07:07. > :07:12.pink, he could get close to the yellow. It depends on how he feels.

:07:13. > :07:23.The brown would be better, as John said. That is what he has decided

:07:24. > :07:28.on. But when the object ball is as close to the pocket, it is always

:07:29. > :07:35.tricky to control the cue ball. This is the key shot, whether he could

:07:36. > :07:40.finish four square. In a perfect world, it looks like he would be low

:07:41. > :07:42.on that brown. He could go from the ball cushion to play this yellow

:07:43. > :08:18.but... Brown, blue, and pink, we would be

:08:19. > :08:25.all square and problems for Ding. He has got a strong favourite in this

:08:26. > :08:26.match. Just think that he is in better control in his cue action and

:08:27. > :08:47.he is scoring. What an amazing match we have on our

:08:48. > :08:51.hands here! Ding has lost his way at the moment and Shaun Murphy is back

:08:52. > :09:11.in it. He is all square with Ding Junhui. Four each.

:09:12. > :09:25.It is great to see the big breaks and the frames are one with a single

:09:26. > :09:27.visit. Those at home enjoyed watching this sort of snooker

:09:28. > :09:30.because they think that they could have missed that. This is not as

:09:31. > :09:46.easy as it looks. Superb! It really was. To dig down

:09:47. > :09:52.on the cue ball from that position and control the pot was excellent.

:09:53. > :09:58.That is the distance he had. Over ten feet. To get that control, he

:09:59. > :10:03.pushed that cue through on a perfectly straight line. A difficult

:10:04. > :10:08.shot with lots of concentration and straight to the middle of the

:10:09. > :10:11.pocket. The strength performance. He has had to summon up a lot of

:10:12. > :10:16.concentration for difficult shots and found the answer. Those haven't

:10:17. > :10:37.been the problem. It has been the simple ones, today. Like that.

:10:38. > :10:44.He may have taken his eye off it. Look at the reaction. You can see

:10:45. > :11:00.what he is thinking. He is in turmoil at the moment.

:11:01. > :11:06.Beautifully struck. I'm not surprised because if he isn't one of

:11:07. > :11:12.the best players, I don't know who is. He cued that beautifully. Look

:11:13. > :11:26.at the work on that. 89% is his success. A must have

:11:27. > :11:53.missed the one that he missed. He has been very good with it. ?

:11:54. > :12:08.The black is tied up. He could do with the blue back on the spot.

:12:09. > :12:12.This will get the blue back onto the spot. He could have the pink has an

:12:13. > :12:42.open play in a few shots' time. Don't think he is on the ball here.

:12:43. > :12:56.He decided to play a cavern. -- play a cavern.

:12:57. > :14:05.A poor shot from Ding. Whether he can hold about and get onto the

:14:06. > :14:12.black. If not, it is difficult to get onto a another colour from that.

:14:13. > :14:18.If he can play a delicate shot and doesn't finish on the black, he

:14:19. > :14:20.would have the pink to the middle. He has the gap and is on the pink.

:14:21. > :14:32.He is OK. And Shaun Murphy took a deep breath.

:14:33. > :14:34.He managed to play that long red and get through the gap. Here is his

:14:35. > :14:47.chance to lead 5-4. It is so much right-hand side on the

:14:48. > :14:49.last shot. To slip past the red. It was magical to cannon into them. He

:14:50. > :15:32.judges this so well. A couple of inches thereon the cue

:15:33. > :15:35.ball to leave himself an easy black a little stunner for the reds. An

:15:36. > :15:56.angle on this now. Looking at that, the inside read,

:15:57. > :15:57.the one inside the pink goes. It just requires peacetime across into

:15:58. > :16:27.the black. -- a stun. The opening pot was a cracker. The

:16:28. > :16:37.left-hand side, it was, to avoid the cannon down. There is still an

:16:38. > :16:42.authority strike happening today. Both he and his opponent have lost a

:16:43. > :16:50.lot of balls. He was actually striking the ball. Sean is actually

:16:51. > :16:56.hitting it better. -- Shaun. It has come down to temperament, the match,

:16:57. > :16:57.with what is going on. Shaun has a slightly better temperament, you

:16:58. > :17:11.would have to say. He has the one closest to the corner

:17:12. > :17:29.pocket available. If he does go on to take this frame,

:17:30. > :17:36.it would be interesting because I think that Ding has quite a bit

:17:37. > :17:41.left. He might just come out. He could do what he did in the opening

:17:42. > :17:46.frames. He would have to really change. I think he is bang up

:17:47. > :17:51.against it. I don't know from where he will find form. He has had a lot

:17:52. > :17:57.of chances. He will need a little help from Shaun.

:17:58. > :18:01.Is that the little bit of help you are talking about? That was

:18:02. > :18:13.carelessly played. He needed to get that from the other

:18:14. > :18:17.side to make the plan. Absolutely. He completely hit the wrong side. It

:18:18. > :18:21.is strange for someone of his quality to do that. Is squeezed it

:18:22. > :18:32.from the pocket. They were close together. If this had been after the

:18:33. > :18:37.first two frames, I would have fancied Ding Junhui making a

:18:38. > :18:42.contribution. He will have to drag something up from his boots. Shaun

:18:43. > :18:43.Murphy had to play the other side of that planned to make that can win.

:18:44. > :18:49.He lost judgement today. -- make that go in. That nearly went

:18:50. > :19:08.on to the near jaw. These are the occasions where you

:19:09. > :19:22.find out about yourself. You do it right and get under pressure.

:19:23. > :19:28.Stephen Hendry has done it many times. He was a six times Masters

:19:29. > :19:53.winner. He used to clear up 70 times in this situation. -- so many times.

:19:54. > :20:01.Builder what it's like. You just have to sit and suffer -- we all

:20:02. > :20:51.know what it is like. This will truly be a massive one.

:20:52. > :21:11.There is not a ball say. This could be slightly awkward. -- safe. He has

:21:12. > :21:19.left about awkward for an cell. -- left this awkward for himself. This

:21:20. > :21:33.is a Test. The white slightly to the left would have been easier.

:21:34. > :21:42.It will be a screw back for the raid on the right-hand side here. He has

:21:43. > :21:49.one positional shot. Away from having a very big steel. If he does

:21:50. > :21:56.clear up here, every credit for him. He has overscrew to that, hasn't

:21:57. > :22:10.he? He should be OK. Where he wanted to be, he would have

:22:11. > :22:11.played the other whitening and has now overdone it. He has to drop this

:22:12. > :22:26.in. There was good news and bad news

:22:27. > :22:48.with his shot. Well played. It has been good stuff so far in

:22:49. > :22:50.this break. The yellow is just off its spot which makes it slightly

:22:51. > :23:00.more difficult. Would be playing the brown or green

:23:01. > :23:05.from this. Get as close as you can to a ball corner. Angle to go up the

:23:06. > :23:07.table. You could play for blue as well, that would be a problem. He is

:23:08. > :23:18.going up the table. He might even take the yellow now

:23:19. > :23:24.and then the yellow again because he is nicely on the blue. He has a long

:23:25. > :23:30.way to travel. He would have to be very precise. If he had pleaded

:23:31. > :23:38.further up the table... A key shot coming up here. -- played it

:23:39. > :23:48.further. That is not the best shot in the world. He may need the

:23:49. > :23:50.spider. It has all gone wrong. Why did he not play on green or brown?

:23:51. > :24:06.This was foolproof. Don't understand it. He comes off

:24:07. > :24:10.the side cushion and could play anywhere. It is right next to the

:24:11. > :24:16.yellow. Why not take the yellow and be back onto the spot for the yellow

:24:17. > :24:30.again? Whatever he did, he had choices and he made the wrong one

:24:31. > :24:35.day. -- the wrong one there. He will be disappointed not to make the blue

:24:36. > :24:39.there but it was a good effort. I bet Shaun Murphy can't believe his

:24:40. > :24:45.luck, coming back to the table. A debt that he thought the frame was

:24:46. > :24:50.all over. He would like to be able to knock the pink if he could. -- I

:24:51. > :24:56.bet that he thought. And that is a pretty good shot. The

:24:57. > :25:13.blue is covering the yellow. He did try to knock the pink safe

:25:14. > :25:19.but they will settle for that. Fortunate to get the snooker behind

:25:20. > :25:24.the blue because he thought the yellow would finish near the pink

:25:25. > :25:30.spot. He would have to do well to get this one safe, Ding. It is very

:25:31. > :25:49.difficult indeed. Well, that was fantastic. A great

:25:50. > :25:54.shot to get the swerve. He brought it around just to clip it. To miss

:25:55. > :26:02.the cannon on the way back was even better.

:26:03. > :26:10.On this fine cloth, as you said, you have to get more swerve on it. It is

:26:11. > :26:14.easier to swerve on a thick cloth. Nothing to grip upon. Happy with

:26:15. > :26:45.that result. Shaun Murphy need to yellow, green

:26:46. > :26:51.and brown. Ding needs all the colours. It is still exciting to

:26:52. > :26:57.watch, isn't it? When you have had all sorts of Mrs in this match. It

:26:58. > :27:10.never looked like missing before that.

:27:11. > :27:16.You could try to double the yellow up and get the snooker behind the

:27:17. > :27:31.brown. It would have to be pretty accurate further. -- for that.

:27:32. > :27:38.It is not bad. He is taking the pot on here because he is running up to

:27:39. > :28:17.the other end of the table. This is not totally straightforward.

:28:18. > :28:24.He could bring the yellow down and have a white space across the table.

:28:25. > :28:29.He has pleaded this one and it is all about the pace. Has he got it?

:28:30. > :28:56.Interval you cannot pot that. So safety required.

:28:57. > :29:04.And that was a useful cannon on the brown, otherwise it would not have

:29:05. > :29:12.been a snooker so remember the ball has turned around. It was Ding who

:29:13. > :29:17.was getting all the flicks and good fortune. It was a good shot to get

:29:18. > :29:43.the yellow where he did. A kiss on the brown was a bonus. That is a

:29:44. > :29:55.free ball as well. 23 is the difference. If there is no easy pot

:29:56. > :30:06.on, he can have it replaced. He is asking for it to be replaced. Good

:30:07. > :30:12.decision. If you are in a situation when the yellow was over the pocket,

:30:13. > :30:25.you would not have taken it. Being where they are, no value. He was

:30:26. > :30:36.trying their shot, being the Ding. And as I say, the run of the ball

:30:37. > :30:37.has totally changed. I thought the first attempt he might just try and

:30:38. > :31:02.nestle on the yellow. He only needs the yellow to leave

:31:03. > :31:17.Ding at the snookers required stage. Well played. He just needs to get

:31:18. > :31:31.good killing here. He'll need the green to make absolutely sure.

:31:32. > :31:36.Because Ding could tie there. He can have no complaints, Ding. A good

:31:37. > :31:41.asset up to the red. But the last shot was a stinker, it has to be

:31:42. > :31:45.said. He could have played off the green or brown but whatever he did,

:31:46. > :33:03.it was the wrong shot. Ding needed to slip is here. The one

:33:04. > :33:08.thing in his favour is a very detailed it to get behind. He could

:33:09. > :33:10.not play from that particular position, he needed to wait for in

:33:11. > :33:30.other chance. They are big targets. It might be a chance here. To get in

:33:31. > :33:35.behind the black. Do you really want to get as close to the black as

:33:36. > :34:24.well. If you can get really tight in behind it.

:34:25. > :34:27.He has got a choice, he can take the double or tried a snooker behind the

:34:28. > :34:43.black. A decent shot from Shaun Murphy. He

:34:44. > :34:56.moved the black from out of the commission's way. -- cushions way.

:34:57. > :35:58.Although this is a pretty good attempt. Excellent.

:35:59. > :36:03.He has made a bit of a hash of that one. He has flipped the brown, in

:36:04. > :36:14.fact. He might be able to get in behind the pink. If he could do, it

:36:15. > :36:23.would be a tough one to escape from. Great effort! Fantastic effort!

:36:24. > :36:31.Unfortunately, the blue has come up the table which makes it a fairly

:36:32. > :36:33.easy escape. The blue anywhere else on the table would have made it

:36:34. > :36:58.difficult. Would you have been tempted to have

:36:59. > :37:10.potted the blue there and looked for the one snooker! Where the black

:37:11. > :37:15.ears, is not beyond the bounds of possibility. Of course, if you do

:37:16. > :37:20.get snookered on the pick and black it is a 6-point penalty, you can

:37:21. > :38:00.draw in the frame and go to a Rees baht. --

:38:01. > :38:25.this is now the longest frame in the match, just over 33 minutes.

:38:26. > :38:33.I think Shaun Murphy won't mind moving the blue from that position

:38:34. > :38:37.because it is in a good spot for snooker so a could be to his

:38:38. > :38:50.advantage to get it out into the middle of the table.

:38:51. > :39:08.Decisions, decisions. Do you try and get the snooker off the pink?

:39:09. > :39:14.I definitely would have potted the blue. So difficult to get to snooker

:39:15. > :39:34.'s. One is hard enough. All purely academic now. Shaun

:39:35. > :39:46.Murphy tries a long double into the corner pocket, a little trick shot.

:39:47. > :39:50.Ding stays in his seat. What a turnaround for Shaun Murphy. He has

:39:51. > :40:11.won three frames in a row. Shaun Murphy now leads.

:40:12. > :40:20.What can Ding pull out of the fire here? Can he turn this match around

:40:21. > :40:45.in his favour again? A good opening pot, not a favourable

:40:46. > :41:43.flick though. If he hits that Brad half ball, he is on the black.

:41:44. > :42:00.A good target now, trying to get behind the brown. A bit too thin.

:42:01. > :42:04.You know yourself, that is a big opportunity missed there. He gets

:42:05. > :42:30.behind the brown properly. He just felt the last bit there.

:42:31. > :42:43.Shaun Murphy can definitely speak past the yellow. -- sneak.

:42:44. > :43:14.This has got to be thin. So then he missed it.

:43:15. > :43:26.It is fraught with danger, really. If you get it anywhere thicker than

:43:27. > :43:29.you need it you get it in the jaws and it stays down the top end. A

:43:30. > :43:49.fair degree of difficulty with this. He can have as many goes as he wants

:43:50. > :43:54.at this because he is snookered on all the other balls. Third time

:43:55. > :44:28.lucky? Fourth time lucky. He is better at

:44:29. > :44:34.missing it then hitting it thick. He would not mind even if the white

:44:35. > :44:40.went into the pocket. The last thing he wants is to draw the white corner

:44:41. > :44:58.pocket and leave it amongst the reds. Trying number four coming up.

:44:59. > :45:37.I think Shaun Murphy is quite happy to there.

:45:38. > :45:53.The first attempt here at this shot. It shows the importance of it. Ding

:45:54. > :45:57.knows he have to hit is so fine. He tried to play its lower. Shaun

:45:58. > :46:04.Murphy is having a little look at this time. There might be a red that

:46:05. > :46:09.will go and if he is straight on he can roll it on through the reds and

:46:10. > :46:17.finished on the black. Look at that little beauty sitting out there.

:46:18. > :46:29.And he played it very comfortably writes Ruby Gap.

:46:30. > :46:38.He may as well have tried the same shot again. He got a little bit

:46:39. > :46:46.lucky they are, he did not hit that shot as he intended. Here is Ding's

:46:47. > :47:06.attempt here. He misjudged it. That could have done with a little

:47:07. > :47:41.bit more on the cue ball there, just topside of the blue.

:47:42. > :47:56.He is looking pretty cool now. He has kept fairly cool. He lost a

:47:57. > :48:01.little bit of composure but he has kept his patient and it is paying

:48:02. > :48:14.off because Ding has lost his way completely in this match.

:48:15. > :48:22.To get himself into the quarter-final, these are wonderful

:48:23. > :48:31.feelings you have a very professional snooker player. You can

:48:32. > :48:36.practice all you like on the table at home but there is nothing like

:48:37. > :48:44.being out there. All the attention and pressure that comes with it.

:48:45. > :49:02.Anyone can make a break in the club, it is making the 60 or 70 that

:49:03. > :49:07.means everything to you. They have only played each other once in the

:49:08. > :49:12.Masters and that was in 2009 and Ding won that one.

:49:13. > :49:20.But it is looking pretty bleak for Ding at the moment. A match that he

:49:21. > :49:28.should have had over here let everything slip. Shaun Murphy has

:49:29. > :49:45.stuck in there, he has won the last three flame... -- frames. When it

:49:46. > :49:51.went 4-4 I really fancied him to win this match. There is no doubt that

:49:52. > :49:59.Ding had an unbelievable chance to make the frame but did not make it.

:50:00. > :50:03.Even when things have not been going Shaun Murphy's way it just looks

:50:04. > :50:09.like he has been playing better than Ding. A slight problem for him now,

:50:10. > :50:22.that has not finished as he would have liked.

:50:23. > :50:34.He took his eye off the pot. Surely we could not have another twist in

:50:35. > :50:51.this? A bit of a bizarre match it has turned out to be.

:50:52. > :51:02.I did not expect to see that happen. Once again, he has thrown

:51:03. > :51:05.Ding Junhui a lifeline. He will need to take it here or he will be going

:51:06. > :51:29.home. Just ignoring the two difficult reds

:51:30. > :51:48.are near the questions there. Concentrating on the loose ones.

:51:49. > :52:06.Putting the cue ball in position to have a choice of frames there.

:52:07. > :52:22.You could hear a pin drop at Alexandra Palace at the moment. They

:52:23. > :52:36.have witnessed all types of snooker today. All big breaks, all sorts of

:52:37. > :52:41.misses. And this is a big, big shot coming up to drop this red in a

:52:42. > :52:49.longer cushion. This is, what we say, do or die. I suppose the one

:52:50. > :52:58.advantage here is that it is virtually stuck. I would fancy him

:52:59. > :53:15.to pot this. He is pretty good at these, Ding. That is one of the

:53:16. > :53:20.difficult reds removed. He has missed the cannon. He has played a

:53:21. > :53:26.cannon on the pink. Look where he has finished. You do not often see a

:53:27. > :53:34.smile from Ding but he has missed that cannon. Let's have a look at

:53:35. > :53:44.this. Had he hit it a little easier, it would not have mattered. It is a

:53:45. > :53:57.massive area, the pink, isn't it? Any sort of contact on it would have

:53:58. > :54:06.been fine but such a mistake. He has played that very well though. Good

:54:07. > :54:18.shot. Just a delicate little cannon on to the pink. Full ball, half

:54:19. > :54:22.ball, anything. Following the pattern of the last frame as well.

:54:23. > :54:28.That is what he got in the last frame. He has looked at the potting

:54:29. > :54:35.angle and he is going to try and sneak this in past the other red. He

:54:36. > :54:42.has a chance, by the way, of a good safety with this as well. Maybe the

:54:43. > :54:53.yellow and brown will come to his rescue if he does not knock it in.

:54:54. > :55:06.The red is in! And even though he missed on the brown, Ding will be in

:55:07. > :55:22.all sorts of trouble here. I do not know whether that was a

:55:23. > :55:26.good move on the ground though. I could see Ding hitting it from here.

:55:27. > :55:42.The other one would have been more difficult with the pink in the way.

:55:43. > :55:49.He left this slightly easier escape. He didn't really give that as much

:55:50. > :56:02.thought as he needed to. He should definitely have had that angle cut

:56:03. > :56:12.off. Beauty, by the looks of it. Well, not quite. Almost. Almost got

:56:13. > :56:16.it in behind the black. What a shot this would be because if he pot

:56:17. > :56:18.this, he could finish on the black and the white will come right around

:56:19. > :56:34.the table. Well he did cannon the pink and he

:56:35. > :56:45.has let Shaun Murphy with the chance now. One good clean pot, Shaun

:56:46. > :56:53.Murphy. It is all about knocking the red in. Putting yourself in the

:56:54. > :57:03.drivers seat. It is there. Beautifully controlled as well. It

:57:04. > :57:09.is a bit straight but he has the cue part to pot this and get up for the

:57:10. > :57:15.yellow. It is not going to be straightforward. Normally, it would

:57:16. > :57:24.not be a problem but you watch the white when it hits the cushion. He

:57:25. > :57:31.did not quite get enough side on that. That is a tricky little cut

:57:32. > :57:36.back. Past the green, he is 20 in front and he only needs the yellow

:57:37. > :57:38.and green. It will be a terrific victory for the Magician. It is

:57:39. > :57:51.their! Well Ding, I don't think he can

:57:52. > :57:59.believe what has happened. From being in front, it has all slipped

:58:00. > :58:08.away. He could not believe it but every credit to Shaun Murphy, he

:58:09. > :58:21.stuck in there. He will be absolutely over the moon, Shaun

:58:22. > :58:28.Murphy. That is all over. Ding comes forward. Ding looks like he was

:58:29. > :58:33.going to dominate the match but Shaun Murphy has taken the last four

:58:34. > :58:36.frames for victory and he goes through to the quarter-final.
