:00:33. > :00:40.Hello, good evening and welcome to highlights of the 2017 Dafabet

:00:41. > :00:44.Masters, the best to my's match between Joe Perry Stuart Bingham to

:00:45. > :00:48.come but first we had a dramatic day one at the Masters and this

:00:49. > :00:55.afternoon's match did not disappoint in thrilling the Ally Pally crowds.

:00:56. > :01:03.A thrilling first round tie, this one. All eyes on the inform John

:01:04. > :01:11.Higgins. He was in control of the early proceedings taking a 2-0 lead

:01:12. > :01:15.thanks to this century. But Mark Allen had beaten Higgins in two

:01:16. > :01:19.previous Masters first round encounters, but he looked to have

:01:20. > :01:25.temporarily lost the plot. However, he battled back into the game at

:01:26. > :01:31.2-2. The next four frames were shared and then Allen missed the

:01:32. > :01:34.frame ball. The first re-spotted black of the tournament soon

:01:35. > :01:41.followed and Allen left no one in doubt he wanted the crowd on his

:01:42. > :01:45.side. And then Higgins suddenly firing the Wizard of Wishaw showing

:01:46. > :01:52.some of his magic and letting Allen and the crowd know he was back in

:01:53. > :01:56.the game at 5-5. And then the final frame turned when Higgins missed a

:01:57. > :02:00.key black due to a possibly bad contact. He was playing catch-up

:02:01. > :02:04.after that and Allen closed out the match for a famous 6-5 win to The

:02:05. > :02:14.Pistol. I just got a feeling something was

:02:15. > :02:17.going to happen out there. You normally get the feeling your

:02:18. > :02:21.opponent will never miss but he looked edgy today, John is one of

:02:22. > :02:25.the best ever and can produce when he is feeling it but I had a feeling

:02:26. > :02:29.something was going to happen. Tonight thinking about the missed

:02:30. > :02:33.black and going into the pack, that's what happens in this sport.

:02:34. > :02:37.You have good times and then you have bad times and this is a bad

:02:38. > :02:41.time and you struggle to sleep for a couple of days and then go into the

:02:42. > :02:46.next tournament. He sounds disappointed and John, if

:02:47. > :02:49.you are up, many congratulations to Mark Alan through to the

:02:50. > :02:52.quarterfinals. Another man facing sleepless nights over the coming

:02:53. > :03:01.weeks, Stuart Bingham, who became a dad once again just two days ago. It

:03:02. > :03:10.was touch and go whether I would make this, with him being born two

:03:11. > :03:16.days ago. Something has clicked in me, I would miss this to see my

:03:17. > :03:19.daughter being born. It is getting to that where the family side of me

:03:20. > :03:24.is coming out and I'm doing everything I can for my family. It's

:03:25. > :03:32.one of those moments I will treasure for the rest of my life. Hopefully I

:03:33. > :03:36.can be the best sort of dad I can. I feel a bit tired now but I will be

:03:37. > :03:42.giving it my all. I have a tough game with Joe first-round. Last year

:03:43. > :03:47.I got to the semis and this year I will hopefully go one or two steps

:03:48. > :03:55.further. We will see how I play, if I play well, great, if not, I go

:03:56. > :03:59.home to my baby girl. I'm not putting everything on the match, I

:04:00. > :04:05.will just see how it goes. Lovely news and congratulations to

:04:06. > :04:09.the Binghams. Joe Perry leads 8-3 in head-to-heads but Bingham won the

:04:10. > :04:13.most recent in the semifinal of the 2016 Grand Prix. We join the first

:04:14. > :04:40.frame, commentary from Dennis Taylor and Ken Doherty.

:04:41. > :04:53.COMMENTATOR: That is a nice, what we call, a nice shot to nothing, if the

:04:54. > :04:57.red goes in he has a chance on the brown and if he doesn't he has a

:04:58. > :05:02.good safety. But he hasn't got a great angle. He might be able to

:05:03. > :05:10.just force it. Yeah, he can do. No problem getting up, but not a lot

:05:11. > :05:14.available, just that red to the left of the bunch. The one to the left of

:05:15. > :05:16.the black might also be on so he has quite a bit to do here before it

:05:17. > :06:13.becomes a reasonable chance. I think he has a slight angle on the

:06:14. > :06:19.blue. Body language would tell us that, he's coming around to have a

:06:20. > :06:23.look at it. The reds into the bottom left-hand corner pocket, there is

:06:24. > :06:28.the angle onto the blue and there is a bit of right-hand side to help the

:06:29. > :06:32.cue ball down to the reds around the pink spot. He would love to get that

:06:33. > :06:39.pink back on its spot. If he gets the pink on its spot it will

:06:40. > :06:45.certainly help his cause. If he could pot the red and play a cannon

:06:46. > :06:48.onto the red below that he could play the pink into the right-hand

:06:49. > :07:01.pocket. It looks like he has a slight angle, just stung into the

:07:02. > :07:03.red -- stun. Nicely played, that will open things up. He played it to

:07:04. > :07:17.perfection. People always ask you, how many

:07:18. > :07:24.shots ahead are you thinking? Never really more than three. That was a

:07:25. > :07:28.typical example. You called the shot and joke would have worked that out

:07:29. > :07:32.a couple of shots ago, you are not thinking five or six shots ahead,

:07:33. > :07:35.you are leaving yourself with options, so it's really more than

:07:36. > :07:42.three shots ahead that you would be thinking. -- rarely more than three

:07:43. > :07:47.shots. He doesn't really have to think about the black, the black is

:07:48. > :07:55.well tied up. But these reds, when he starts picking them off, it will

:07:56. > :08:00.open the gap to the next one. Just concentrate on trying to keep the

:08:01. > :08:01.cue ball as close to his next pot as possible, it just makes it so much

:08:02. > :08:16.easier. This table, it must be terrific to

:08:17. > :08:21.play on. It is so fast that you just have to stroke the ball nicely, and

:08:22. > :08:26.when you are playing well it is a treat to play on. If you're cue

:08:27. > :08:31.action is off about this table can catch you out but these players are

:08:32. > :08:32.the best 16 players in the world and they will relish playing on this

:08:33. > :08:54.table -- your cue action. You could see him cueing down at the

:08:55. > :09:00.bottom of the ball, at six o'clock, just screwing it back. Looking at it

:09:01. > :09:06.you thought it might jump over it the way he was cueing so low. Just

:09:07. > :09:11.look how low he is, right down at the cloth but he lifted slightly as

:09:12. > :09:19.he came through. Yes, just lifted a little bit. A little bit of a heavy

:09:20. > :09:22.contact on the cue ball. Some players do that, Jimmy White was a

:09:23. > :09:28.great exponent of that, he addressed the ball very low, but then as soon

:09:29. > :09:30.as he hits the cue ball it is sort of more or less towards the middle

:09:31. > :09:53.of the white. That is a very well worked out break

:09:54. > :09:55.and it came from that red, Cannes and the other out of the way and got

:09:56. > :10:08.the pink back on its spot. -- the balls were tied up before he

:10:09. > :10:15.came to the table. That is the frame ball. This red will stop his

:10:16. > :10:19.opponent coming back to the table. Rob Walker introduces him as

:10:20. > :10:31.gentleman Joe, and he does walk around the table like a gentleman,

:10:32. > :10:34.he has a nice easy manner about him. He might try a little cannon on the

:10:35. > :10:41.red and stay on the black and bring it into play.

:10:42. > :10:51.It would be nice for this black to go in, possible chance of a century,

:10:52. > :10:52.good shot, looks pretty good, well done. Not easy when bridging over

:10:53. > :11:05.the red. Well, if he does go on to make a

:11:06. > :11:11.century here, what a start to the match. Because, looking at the balls

:11:12. > :11:23.when he came to the table you could not really see 30, 40 points.

:11:24. > :11:39.He has made centuries last season, 16 so far this season. 232 in his

:11:40. > :12:14.professional career. We have had six centuries so far

:12:15. > :12:23.this year in the Dafabet Masters. When it's a certain century just

:12:24. > :12:26.don't hammer this around to go for the pink, just make sure. Well done,

:12:27. > :12:37.Joe Perry. Look at that shot as well. I'll tell

:12:38. > :12:43.you what, you will not see many better centuries than this, that's

:12:44. > :12:47.for sure. Well played, Joe Perry, he got half a chance, and didn't he

:12:48. > :12:54.take it? Stuart Bingham had to sit and watch that magnificent century

:12:55. > :12:59.break. Joe Perry leads 1-0. STUDIO: Utterly brilliant century break from

:13:00. > :13:04.Joe Perry, fantastic start, then we had a bit of drama in frame two with

:13:05. > :13:09.Joe potting the blue, the pink and the black to tie at 65-65 meaning

:13:10. > :13:21.for the second time today at Ally Pally we had a re-spotted black.

:13:22. > :13:26.COMMENTATOR: Stroked it in very nicely and Stuart Bingham, although

:13:27. > :13:33.he looked favourite for a couple of minutes, we have a re-spotted black

:13:34. > :13:38.and you just want to win the toss. You do. I know the shot you like to

:13:39. > :13:43.play, the old up-and-down as many times as you like calling all

:13:44. > :13:47.pockets. Funnily enough John Higgins attempted it a couple of times

:13:48. > :13:53.today. Yes, we had a re-spotted black today. Now, what will Stuart

:13:54. > :14:05.Bingham play? The normal shot, black on one side cushion and cue ball on

:14:06. > :14:06.the other. That is a fantastic shot. He couldn't have played that much

:14:07. > :14:18.better. That's pretty good.

:14:19. > :15:07.Everybody loves a black ball finish. Good shot. I'm just wondering, will

:15:08. > :15:13.Stewart attempt a double into the middle pocket. He's coming around to

:15:14. > :15:21.have a look. He could play this as a possible shot bringing the cue ball

:15:22. > :15:29.back up to the black spot. He has played the double. Oh!

:15:30. > :15:36.This black will cut but if Joe takes it on he needs a little bit of

:15:37. > :15:40.something on the cue ball because the white will go dangerously close

:15:41. > :15:53.to the pocket there that he's just looking over. He has played it

:15:54. > :15:58.inside, to avoid the in-off. Stuart Bingham looked like he was going to

:15:59. > :16:06.level at 1-1. That this superb cut on the black means Joe Perry leads

:16:07. > :16:10.2-0. STUDIO: Is Stuart Bingham will be

:16:11. > :16:12.kicking himself at losing that. He needs to get on the board, here he

:16:13. > :16:28.is at the table. COMMENTATOR: That would have felt

:16:29. > :16:32.nice for Stuart Bingham, right in the heart of the pocket. Nice noise

:16:33. > :16:39.off the back of the leather. Excellent opportunity now. Needs a

:16:40. > :17:01.good break here, to get himself going. Pot success, menial, 74%. 94%

:17:02. > :17:07.for Joe Perry. Highest break, 17. In two frames, that can happen. I'm

:17:08. > :17:14.going to make a prediction, I think you will eat that high break, Ken.

:17:15. > :17:33.-- I think he will beat. Under normal circumstances, you

:17:34. > :17:41.would expect him to win the frame from this position, but when you are

:17:42. > :17:48.too- zero down, a bit more pressure. Not enough table time, to get his

:17:49. > :18:16.arm going. This is where he is at his best.

:18:17. > :18:37.He judged that nicely. Nice little cannon, just holding for the red in

:18:38. > :18:41.this corner pocket. Complete contrast to the previous frame,

:18:42. > :18:52.where the balls went very awkward, getting tied up. That's why we had

:18:53. > :18:58.an almost 44 minutes frame. The way Stuart Bingham is going, it won't

:18:59. > :18:59.last very long, he's going along very nicely. Terrific break-builder,

:19:00. > :20:25.when he gets going, Stuart. Just showing us here while he was

:20:26. > :20:34.world champion just a couple of years ago. Lost the last frame on a

:20:35. > :20:38.re-spotted black. Some players would have gone into the doldrums, not

:20:39. > :20:42.Stuart. Straight back again with this effort. Every chance to clinch

:20:43. > :21:08.the frame now with the one visit. Snooker needed, the pink to make

:21:09. > :21:17.absolutely sure. Now just concentrating, seeing if the

:21:18. > :21:53.That tells us this red pots into the corner pocket. Pink nicely into

:21:54. > :22:18.play, as well. This is better stuff. From Stuart

:22:19. > :22:23.Bingham. He will try to take the red off the right-hand side cushion.

:22:24. > :22:35.We'll need that red to make a century. Nice century, 116 from Joe

:22:36. > :22:43.Perry. How about this exhibition. Excellent shot. He will need another

:22:44. > :22:59.good one here, to get on this red. Lovely shot.

:23:00. > :23:07.We have had seven centuries so far in this year's masters. There is

:23:08. > :23:16.another one. Coming just right time for Stuart

:23:17. > :23:41.Bingham. And his supporters. ?10,000 for the highest break in

:23:42. > :23:49.this year's masters. 121 at the moment, from Ronnie O'Sullivan. This

:23:50. > :23:58.will put Stuart into the lead for that high break prize. Good response

:23:59. > :24:07.from Stuart Bingham. This will make him feel much better. Highest break

:24:08. > :24:16.of entire tournament so far. A target of 132. Boy, did the crowd

:24:17. > :24:25.love that. Wonderful century from Stuart Bingham. He is off the mark,

:24:26. > :24:29.still Joe Perry leads by 2-1. STUDIO: Wonderful response by Stuart

:24:30. > :24:33.Bingham, Perry winning the next with a break of 77. Late show you what

:24:34. > :24:40.happened in the next frame, Bingham to play, no score.

:24:41. > :24:47.COMMENTATOR: Not a bad effort. What did you say about not leaving

:24:48. > :24:54.anything? Got so close to the pocket. It lived in from there. --

:24:55. > :25:24.looked in. A little straight on the red. Coming

:25:25. > :25:29.round, to see whether he can roll the cue ball in for the red closest

:25:30. > :25:41.to the blue. Although one right of the pink. Going to be the one just

:25:42. > :25:51.right of the pink. Get on the black after that.

:25:52. > :26:10.Nice shot. Played it well. Judged the cannon on the red nicely. He

:26:11. > :26:17.will need another little nice cannon hair. Nestling on to the red above

:26:18. > :26:32.it. Played that one perfectly, as well.

:26:33. > :26:41.Some players may go into the pack from this particular black, not sure

:26:42. > :26:50.whether Joe is one of these players. Likes to take the loose reds first.

:26:51. > :26:59.Nice angle on the red here. Pot the red, just go off the corner of the

:27:00. > :27:01.pack. One of those type of players, nudges reds out, instead of just

:27:02. > :27:29.smashing them up straightaway. What you are saying, he is a nudger.

:27:30. > :27:33.He is, very effective. Picking off all the loose ones. Only one more

:27:34. > :27:37.easy red available, then he will have to get the cannon, hopefully

:27:38. > :27:44.from the blue onto the pink, his best bet. Although having a look at

:27:45. > :27:51.where he has finished, don't nobody can get that side of the blue now.

:27:52. > :27:59.It will have to be off the black, slightly more difficult than coming

:28:00. > :28:06.from the blue. Because of the way the reds are situated. So easy to

:28:07. > :28:11.stick off the back of the reds. Easier to play it as a stand shot.

:28:12. > :28:30.Needs to hit it pretty hard, and get some action on it.

:28:31. > :28:37.It's not bad. Did not generate an awful lot of pace into the cue ball.

:28:38. > :28:45.Possible red to the left centre, and right-centre. The way he has been

:28:46. > :28:50.playing, you would fancy him strongly to knock one of those in,

:28:51. > :29:02.wouldn't you curse has a lot to do with the cue ball. -- wouldn't you?

:29:03. > :30:01.He has a lot to do with the cue ball.

:30:02. > :30:10.There is a red that will go into the middle pocket.

:30:11. > :30:21.This is the last thing that Stuart Bingham wanted to see. He thought he

:30:22. > :30:28.had a free shot. Got so close to the opening attempt, thinking I will not

:30:29. > :30:36.be able to leave anything. Got so close to the red is just wobbled,

:30:37. > :30:41.and stayed there. It has to be said, Joe Perry, this evening looks very

:30:42. > :30:52.good indeed. 116 in the second frame. 77 in the previous frame, and

:30:53. > :30:56.already Stuart requiring a sneaker. Looks like he will take the frame

:30:57. > :31:01.with one visit. Hard to beat a player when he's playing like this,

:31:02. > :31:06.Ken. Looks pretty confident as well. He has got the cue ball under very

:31:07. > :31:11.good close control. AJ, missing the red into the right-centre. Stuart

:31:12. > :31:14.may come back to the table. Excellent break, Dennis. Barring a

:31:15. > :31:22.sneaker, gone further ahead, 4-1. There was too much for Stuart

:31:23. > :31:28.Bingham to do and Joe Perry making light work, two friends from the

:31:29. > :31:42.quarterfinals, into the next frame and Stuart to play.

:31:43. > :31:46.Those type of shots are always more difficult, especially when you are

:31:47. > :32:19.one -- 4-1 behind. He has a choice here, he can try and

:32:20. > :32:28.get on the loose red just above the green spot, or try and pot the green

:32:29. > :32:41.and get on the red to the left of the pink.

:32:42. > :32:59.He played that nicely. We spoke at the top of this match, Dennis, about

:33:00. > :33:06.how fast this table is and it seems Joe Perry has adjusted very quickly

:33:07. > :33:16.to the table. The very first game he made that wonderful 116 break. His

:33:17. > :33:37.pot success is 94%. Pretty good. He has potted nine out of 13 long

:33:38. > :33:42.pots he has gone for. Nice little pot into the centre, developing

:33:43. > :34:01.another couple of reds from the pack.

:34:02. > :34:10.He seems to enjoy playing Stuart Binny De Micheal Bingham because I,

:34:11. > :34:17.like you, thought it would be pretty close given the record. So obviously

:34:18. > :34:22.that gives you a bit of confidence -- Stuart Bingham. It's the first

:34:23. > :34:30.time they have played in the Masters against each other.

:34:31. > :34:39.Joe Perry's record in the Masters wouldn't be the best. I mean, he has

:34:40. > :34:49.played nine matches and only won one match, a quarterfinal in one year,

:34:50. > :34:57.2015, lost 6-4 that year to Mark Allen. When you consider the frame

:34:58. > :35:01.Stuart Bingham has won, 132 break in the frame, he has been kept out and

:35:02. > :35:10.it has been good, solid snooker from Joe Perry at the moment.

:35:11. > :35:18.Yeah, if you wipe away the second frame that lasted 43 minutes and 43

:35:19. > :35:21.seconds where the balls got tied up, the rest of it has been so

:35:22. > :35:39.impressive. 116, 77 and 66. Even his shot time has speeded up as

:35:40. > :35:46.well. It was about 23, 24 seconds. It's down to 20 now. Obviously

:35:47. > :35:52.playing with a lot of confidence. He has looked very good at the moment.

:35:53. > :35:56.Stuart Bingham is sitting in the chair and there is not much he can

:35:57. > :36:00.do about it. No, he was pretty relaxed in the mid-session interval,

:36:01. > :36:09.we were having a chat and he showed me a lovely picture of his daughter

:36:10. > :36:15.born on the weekend. Michelle is in fine form as well. He would want to

:36:16. > :36:20.do well here but he is not getting a chance. Look at that shot he has

:36:21. > :36:33.just played. As we show you this cannon again,

:36:34. > :36:41.that looks like a frame-winner. Already 47 in front, the red he can

:36:42. > :36:45.and might still be on, the one at the back of the bunch of reds, and

:36:46. > :36:56.it is, as you can see. He has played to get on that. I think the turning

:36:57. > :37:01.point in this match, Dennis, was the wonderful fourth frame. Stuart was

:37:02. > :37:05.in early, made a 32 break previously, got in, made a 32 break

:37:06. > :37:09.and didn't capitalise, he missed the blue into the left-centre and Joe

:37:10. > :37:14.Perry duly obliged with a wonderful 77 break to win the frame and it

:37:15. > :37:21.turned the match on its head completely. Should have been 2-2 at

:37:22. > :37:29.the interval, he is 3-1 up and, OK, he has got a horrendous contact on

:37:30. > :37:33.that... But as we watch this have a look at the cue ball jumped and the

:37:34. > :37:39.red. That was a wonderful break under the circumstances. That could

:37:40. > :37:45.set the tone for the rest of this match at the moment. He still needs

:37:46. > :37:53.the pink, the. So easy to have a heavy contact. -- would have been so

:37:54. > :37:55.easy without a heavy contact. We will see how his concentration is

:37:56. > :38:03.because it is a little bit more difficult with the rest.

:38:04. > :38:19.He must really be enjoying this this evening, because he's missed

:38:20. > :39:17.precious little in this match. The break goes to 85, pink and black

:39:18. > :39:22.with two reds would be another century for Joe Perry. It really has

:39:23. > :39:45.been top-quality stuff. He won his first ranking title in

:39:46. > :39:57.2015, the players championship in Bangkok, Thailand. And he was

:39:58. > :40:01.runner-up in last year's World Open. He got another heavy contact, but he

:40:02. > :40:08.could go on and beat Stuart's high break of 132. That really would be

:40:09. > :40:13.rubbing salt into the wound, wouldn't it? There is enough there,

:40:14. > :40:18.he is on 99, the red will give him his second century in this match.

:40:19. > :40:45.Very straight on the black, as you can see, so he will have to pull out

:40:46. > :40:56.a cracking pot on the yellow if he's going to go on to beat the high

:40:57. > :41:02.break that Stuart holds of 132. He doesn't beat the high break but only

:41:03. > :41:07.one chance needed again and he made a century break. Joe Perry is one

:41:08. > :41:12.frame away from victory. He leads Stuart Bingham 5-1.

:41:13. > :41:17.STUDIO: Joke has played ever so well tonight, can he seal the deal now?

:41:18. > :41:18.Let's show you what happens in the next frame, Stuart leading and

:41:19. > :41:34.fighting to stay in this one. REFEREE: One. COMMENTATOR: It is not

:41:35. > :41:38.straightforward by any means, he has the brown but he must somehow get

:41:39. > :41:45.onto the yellow. So he has got to put a little bit of

:41:46. > :41:51.action on this. Unless if the yellow goes... Yes, it does. That's better.

:41:52. > :42:00.That is much better. But he has overscrewed it.

:42:01. > :42:12.If he is going to go all the way round the table he has got to avoid

:42:13. > :42:16.the black, he has got to avoid the pink and the blue is in a slightly

:42:17. > :42:23.awkward position to drop back onto the yellow again. He has got to be

:42:24. > :42:29.careful. If he does take the yellow into the green pocket he is going to

:42:30. > :42:38.be coming off two questions, the cue ball going perilously close to the

:42:39. > :42:43.left-centre pocket. Keep an eye on the cue ball here. He went the other

:42:44. > :42:53.way and made it a little bit more difficult. Where is the white ball?

:42:54. > :43:02.He doesn't want it in the pocket... REFEREE: Stuart Bingham, three. They

:43:03. > :43:05.say it never rains but it pours, it was the positional shot onto the

:43:06. > :43:09.yellow that caused Stuart the problem there and could that be his

:43:10. > :43:10.last shot at this year's Dafabet Masters, seeing that white

:43:11. > :43:45.disappear? Blue and pink will put him seven

:43:46. > :43:56.points ahead with seven remaining so he is going to need the black as

:43:57. > :44:01.well here. Oh! Well, well. He didn't play a good shot on the

:44:02. > :44:25.brown. He left the wrong angle on the blue for himself.

:44:26. > :44:31.Well, there is certainly nothing inviting about that shot. No wonder

:44:32. > :44:37.he is scratching his head. He is having a look at the scores, blue

:44:38. > :44:42.and pink required. I wonder if he will play the slow drag on the blue

:44:43. > :44:47.into the corner pocket and if he misses it he might get the cover

:44:48. > :44:51.with the pink. Very dangerous shot, though, at this stage. It is a

:44:52. > :44:55.possibility. He could play a safety shot and mess it up completely so

:44:56. > :45:02.there might be a bit of value in taking the blue down this cushion.

:45:03. > :45:07.As I said he could play the safety shot and leave the blue up, so it

:45:08. > :45:13.may have been the best choice just going for the blue there. It was a

:45:14. > :45:18.difficult shot to play. There was certainly value in having a go at

:45:19. > :45:21.that blue. If you're going to play the safety shot you've got to make

:45:22. > :45:32.sure you get the object ball safe, and he didn't.

:45:33. > :45:52.Pink is there. Is he on the black? What's a

:45:53. > :46:08.-- what a kiss. The black is there. He's in the quarterfinal of the

:46:09. > :46:13.Masters. Beating the former world champion. 6-1, finding himself in

:46:14. > :46:34.the quarterfinals of the 2017 masters.

:46:35. > :46:41.I haven't played like that since my good friend Neil Robertson.

:46:42. > :46:45.I've not been practising enough, but I don't really blame myself for that

:46:46. > :46:48.- the calibre's full up, because I'm privileged enough to be sort of

:46:49. > :46:52.high-ranked. I've been playing a few events in China that not everyone's

:46:53. > :46:55.in, and I've come home, and then it's a case of spending time with

:46:56. > :46:59.family or going to practise. At the stage of my career at the moment,

:47:00. > :47:02.it's - spend time with family. So practise took a bit of a hit.

:47:03. > :47:06.Obviously then confidence takes a bit of a hit. Doubts creep in. And

:47:07. > :47:10.it's just a bit of a snowball, really. Friday night at the Masters

:47:11. > :47:12.- if tonight's anything to go by, the atmosphere will be, like,

:47:13. > :47:17.incredible. It was brilliant tonight. So, quarterfinal, Friday

:47:18. > :47:22.night in London - bound to be good. Looking forward to it. That's sort

:47:23. > :47:26.of performance has given me a bit of confidence. Hopefully I'll go into

:47:27. > :47:31.it with exactly the same mindset. Don't know if I'd have to do that or

:47:32. > :47:35.not, but that will be my intention. Thing is, like you say, when he's on

:47:36. > :47:39.his game, what he's done a couple of years ago when he won all those

:47:40. > :47:42.tournaments, and at the start of this season, he started off well

:47:43. > :47:45.again. Sometimes when he doesn't perform, he looks probably worse

:47:46. > :47:48.than all the other top players when they don't perform, for some reason.

:47:49. > :47:51.But when he's on, he's definitely one of the best we've ever had in

:47:52. > :47:54.the sport. Ding Junhui next, then, for Joe

:47:55. > :47:57.Perry, who played very, very well tonight. Incidentally, all eight

:47:58. > :48:01.players over the past two days here at the Masters have made century

:48:02. > :48:06.breaks. Let's hope that continues into the week. Snooker Extra is up

:48:07. > :48:10.next with Hazel - extended highlights of Higgins versus Allen.

:48:11. > :48:15.Then we are back with more live coverage at 1:00 on BBC Two as Marco

:48:16. > :48:17.Fu and Judd Trump enter Alexandra Palace. From all of us here,

:48:18. > :48:19.goodnight.
