:00:36. > :00:41.Hello again. We've had record crowds here at Alexandra Palace here in

:00:42. > :00:48.north London and this afternoon, a record-breaking performance for them

:00:49. > :00:57.to enjoy in this Dafabet Masters. It came from the most mesmerise

:00:58. > :01:01.players, O'Sullivan. Ricky Malden came up against a world champion who

:01:02. > :01:07.was virtually unplayable. Ricky had made a 35 break and didn't pot a

:01:08. > :01:13.single ball thereafter. O'Sullivan running away with it, 6-0 in under

:01:14. > :01:21.an hour. And racking up a world record 556 points without reply. It

:01:22. > :01:26.was quite simply awesome. I have to say well done to Ricky for a good

:01:27. > :01:31.season. Won a couple of ranking events and made it to the top 16.

:01:32. > :01:35.Playing well. I'm just pleased to have got through. It's obviously

:01:36. > :01:40.disappointing. You want to go out there and put your shift in

:01:41. > :01:43.yourself. I wasn't able to do that. Scored 35 points in the first frame

:01:44. > :01:49.and didn't see a ball for the rest of the match. I didn't realise that

:01:50. > :01:53.he hadn't potted a ball. I was concentrating on each ball and frame

:01:54. > :02:00.and trying to stay in the groove and concentration and just trying to

:02:01. > :02:05.stay with the frames and be as professional as possible. That's the

:02:06. > :02:10.first time I've felt helpless on a snooker table. I didn't get a shot.

:02:11. > :02:16.Unbelievable. I took a good beating there. It's jaw-dropping stuff. A

:02:17. > :02:52.reminder of the other quarter finals.

:02:53. > :02:57.The first seven or eight times I only beat him once and I think I got

:02:58. > :03:03.the better of him maybe the last four or five times. He's the sort of

:03:04. > :03:08.player that I was looking at and thinking I've got to really change

:03:09. > :03:13.my game and develop a safety game, because he's just Toowoomba good. In

:03:14. > :03:20.some ways it's thanks to him that my game Vaz developed so much, because

:03:21. > :03:25.I felt he just outplayed me in every time. He's a bit of a bully. He's

:03:26. > :03:30.imposing when he's playing. He has a bit of a temper, but I think it

:03:31. > :03:34.really work for him. Sometimes he can be playing terrible in a match

:03:35. > :03:38.and then he can punch the table and almost break his hand and then play

:03:39. > :03:44.three or four flawless frames. He'll be really keen to make amends for

:03:45. > :03:52.the UK championships. He'll be really keen to start winning some

:03:53. > :03:56.big tornalities. -- tournaments. I've won the UK Championship. It's

:03:57. > :04:01.very hard to follow that up, to win the Masters. Mark Selby did it last

:04:02. > :04:06.year, but very few have done that. I'm not under any pressure to keep

:04:07. > :04:10.that going. I'm - the pressure's on myself because I want to win the

:04:11. > :04:15.tournament so badly. This is his tenth appearance in the Masters. His

:04:16. > :04:20.best performance three times a semifinalist, but a pretty lean

:04:21. > :04:25.record of late. He hasn't made the quarters for four years. Robertson

:04:26. > :04:30.may have squatted aside Maguire at the recrept championship in York --

:04:31. > :04:35.recent championship in York, but overall he has lost more matches.

:04:36. > :04:38.That said, Maguire hasn't had the better of the Aussie for five years.

:04:39. > :04:44.His last success was at this stage of the Masters at Wembley in 2009.

:04:45. > :04:48.That's going back to the days when former world champion John Parrott

:04:49. > :04:52.was just a boy. What is your take on tonight's quarter final? It should

:04:53. > :04:56.be a fantastic match. It looks like that on paper, two very accomplished

:04:57. > :05:00.matchplayers and he said bully there, two bullies to be honest.

:05:01. > :05:04.They both get in there. It will be interesting to see who gives. Neil

:05:05. > :05:09.seemed to struggle in the heat the other day. I know it's not a summer

:05:10. > :05:14.for the Aussie here, but it was pretty hot and he had to produce two

:05:15. > :05:18.excellent frame-winning chances to get past Mark Allen. How far below

:05:19. > :05:21.his best was he? Some way, but that won't count for anything this

:05:22. > :05:23.evening. The object of the exercise is to get through that match. What

:05:24. > :05:28.was impressive that break in the last frame. When he needed to do it,

:05:29. > :05:32.nitty-gritty, he came out like the true Australian that he is. He got

:05:33. > :05:42.over the line, but he'll need to play better. As for Stephen, he

:05:43. > :05:51.almost succumbed to the flailing front-run er syndrome? I'm going to

:05:52. > :05:57.call it slow punt tour syndrome. -- slow punt tour syndrome. He managed

:05:58. > :06:00.to get over the line. There is one remaining place to be claimed in the

:06:01. > :06:07.semifinal. Who will grab it? It's time to cue or MC. Thank you. Good

:06:08. > :06:11.evening ladies and gentlemen. What a dramatic day. We have already very

:06:12. > :06:15.much enjoyed things here. Records from the Rocket this afternoon and

:06:16. > :06:23.tonight, two absolute titans of the table go head-to-head to join him in

:06:24. > :06:27.the semifinals. When these two last played in the Masters they reeled

:06:28. > :06:43.off five consecutive centuries. Sit back, relax and enjoy this. This

:06:44. > :06:46.could be an absolute cracker. APPLAUSE

:06:47. > :06:50.Please welcome, one of the nicest guys on the circuit. Three times the

:06:51. > :06:55.Masters semifinalist. Twice the World Championship semifinalist.

:06:56. > :07:01.Winner of five titles, including the UK crown. He is also the reigning

:07:02. > :07:19.Welsh Open champion. When he's good, he's on fire, he's Stephen Maguire.

:07:20. > :07:22.# Like a drifter I was born to walk alone

:07:23. > :07:31.# And I've made up my mind # I ain't wasting no more time... #

:07:32. > :07:38.And his opponent, since his arrival from Australia ten years ago, he has

:07:39. > :07:43.laid claim to being among the sport's all-time greats. World

:07:44. > :07:47.champion in 2010. He took the Masters two years ago and completed

:07:48. > :07:52.snooker's Triple Crown with his win in York last month. What a record.

:07:53. > :07:55.What a talent. He's the world number one. Can you hear the thunder from

:07:56. > :08:30.down under, it's Neil Robertson. Friday night at Alexandra Palace.

:08:31. > :08:35.It's pretty lively in here, I can tell you. We are expecting this to

:08:36. > :08:40.be a pretty lively match. Who is overseeing it? There they are.

:08:41. > :08:46.Messers Virgo and Davies. All yours. Good evening, Hazel. Good evening,

:08:47. > :08:50.everybody. This looks like being a real Titanic struggle as Rob Walker

:08:51. > :08:55.said. World number one, Neil Robertson and of course, playing

:08:56. > :09:00.Stephen Maguire, who is capable of -- on his day of beating anyone. It

:09:01. > :09:02.depends how he plays tonight. Yes. But what he is capable of doing is

:09:03. > :09:36.being his own man out there. They've been playing this with a bit

:09:37. > :09:41.of extra pace to try to get the yellow to cover the potable red.

:09:42. > :09:50.It's likely a risk, but it seems to work out.

:09:51. > :09:56.VrgeTS the more of a goalkeeper it is if you can get closer to it. Just

:09:57. > :10:00.playing for the bottom cushion, perhaps it's not as much of an

:10:01. > :10:02.advantage as it used to be. A bit lucky to get away with that, after

:10:03. > :10:53.missing the red on the top cushion. He has a possible pot on here. In

:10:54. > :10:54.his last match his long potting was very average. What will he be like

:10:55. > :11:10.this evening? OK he played the cannon, but he

:11:11. > :11:14.couldn't have expected it to work out like this.

:11:15. > :11:21.If he picked it up with his hand, he couldn't have put it any better.

:11:22. > :11:28.In potting this black, there is enough of an angle that he could go

:11:29. > :11:30.into the red, but he could be stuck on them.

:11:31. > :11:47.You can see what he's lining up, the outside of the three reds.

:11:48. > :11:56.Unfortunately, if he played for that position, he's a very confident cuer

:11:57. > :12:03.of the ball. That is horrible. This is a Longbridge, isn't it?

:12:04. > :12:09.To some degree, if he knew it was going to end up there, perhaps he

:12:10. > :12:14.could have played it harder, but how softer could he have played it?

:12:15. > :12:18.Well, this is very missable with such a wobbly bridge.

:12:19. > :12:29.I think he's going to choose a different shot.

:12:30. > :12:32.After the opening red and the position on the black he'll be

:12:33. > :13:31.disappointed that's all he scored. There have been a few players

:13:32. > :13:34.playing up and down the table on thin balls this week, John. I've

:13:35. > :13:40.noticed they've missed a view thinking that the table's rolled one

:13:41. > :13:46.way or the other, but I've seen balls roll off equal sides. He can

:13:47. > :13:50.always roll over a finger mark or chalk dust.

:13:51. > :13:57.I learnt this week that I thought you had to see both sides of the

:13:58. > :14:02.red. Apparently if you can make full contact and miss it three times,

:14:03. > :14:09.then you lose the frame. It's news to me, that. That's a better shot

:14:10. > :14:27.the second time around. There are a new an momlies with the

:14:28. > :14:34.-- anomalies with the miss rule. That's one of them.

:14:35. > :14:52.I thought there was a chance for Maguire to come off on the pink, but

:14:53. > :15:06.he's keeping it tight. That's the one thing that frustrates

:15:07. > :15:10.professional snooker players more than anything, well maybe the kink

:15:11. > :15:14.frustrates them, but to catch a ball clover, because that means you've

:15:15. > :15:37.not played a good safety. It's a good target here.

:15:38. > :15:43.Other players have their eyes equally over the cue or some over

:15:44. > :16:11.their left eye. Good escape. I don't know whether

:16:12. > :16:34.Neil can get in behind the brown again here.

:16:35. > :16:40.This safety shot from Maguire, should he choose the one that's just

:16:41. > :16:47.poking out to the right of the pink, it would open things up. That's

:16:48. > :16:51.pack-wise. He doesn't want to do that. He's not sure how the reds are

:16:52. > :16:56.going to open up. That's a last-resort shot.

:16:57. > :17:02.At this level, you try not to led reds stray to the corners. It looks

:17:03. > :17:29.like he's playing it. He played it pretty well. Just

:17:30. > :17:36.catching the yellow. You never know with Neil, he's just a good potter.

:17:37. > :17:47.Right in the heart of the pocket. As I said earlier, this is one of his

:17:48. > :17:50.great strengths, the long pots. Look at that. Right in the heart of the

:17:51. > :17:59.pocket. He will be feeling good about himself at the moment.

:18:00. > :18:05.Sometimes the first long pot you have to attempt, if it goes in, it

:18:06. > :18:07.could be the difference between a good day and bad day on the table.

:18:08. > :18:19.Certainly in that department. Nothing like cracking a few of those

:18:20. > :18:24.in to allay the nerves. A bit of work to keep the break going. It's a

:18:25. > :18:26.bit messy up the top of the table. The number of reds blocking the path

:18:27. > :19:15.of the black. The pink's available, so play for

:19:16. > :19:21.the pink in the middle. I'm not sure exactly if the pink spots now. You

:19:22. > :19:26.know we spend more -- you spend more hours in there. Obviously, there are

:19:27. > :19:28.miles. The director gave it away. I was going to say, of course it

:19:29. > :19:37.spots! Well, would you believe it? The

:19:38. > :19:47.good, long balls he's potted and he's missed a sitter.

:19:48. > :20:02.Steve Maguire working out if he pots the black and it goes back on the

:20:03. > :20:09.spot what other reds go into the right corner? Should he try and

:20:10. > :20:12.simplify things a bit before he tries to make it more complicated in

:20:13. > :20:25.that department? Still got a clear-cut chance. I'm

:20:26. > :20:36.sure he would like to score a few points though.

:20:37. > :20:56.There's a red that does pot into the right corner.

:20:57. > :21:05.It looks like the one he played in potting this red, he can properly

:21:06. > :21:07.clear that pink spot. It's tight. There's a lot of intricate shots to

:21:08. > :21:16.be played yet. He's hampered. When you can't get to

:21:17. > :21:20.the middle of the cue ball you're having to put a bit aside, so you've

:21:21. > :21:22.got to allow for the throw. This is a tricky, little shot. It may not

:21:23. > :21:26.look it, but it's tricky, this. If you get to the middle of cue ball

:21:27. > :22:24.this red wouldn't be a problem. Now the pink is on the spot, this is

:22:25. > :22:41.not very good. It was so easy to go wrong with that break.

:22:42. > :22:59.All disappointing when you get a good opportunity and you don't score

:23:00. > :23:05.as many as you feel you ought to. He didn't let his disappointment affect

:23:06. > :23:47.the safety shot. It's a good one. A lot for Neil to think about now.

:23:48. > :23:56.Just playing the containing safety now. There is a red that pots along

:23:57. > :23:58.the top curby. A bit tricky. If he rolls it in, he could have the pink

:23:59. > :24:06.to the right middle. He wouldn't want to be forcing it

:24:07. > :24:08.out for the black in the same pocket. That would make it even more

:24:09. > :24:22.difficult. He did play the screw. It seemed to

:24:23. > :24:26.come off the cushion funny. Do you think he got a bit of side on that?

:24:27. > :24:34.I think he put a bit of unwanted side spin on. He should have cleared

:24:35. > :24:42.and straightened up. Perhaps there was a little right-hand spin on that

:24:43. > :24:44.shot. Only needs a fraction. But the way he struck it, I thought it was a

:24:45. > :25:12.good shot. He may have got it. He may have got

:25:13. > :25:21.it. That's not what the doctor ordered. A worst piece of commentary

:25:22. > :25:27.that's turned out well! I thought he would definitely play behind the

:25:28. > :25:33.yellow. As it was, it was an excellent safety shot, although he's

:25:34. > :25:46.really put himself in trouble. Marvellous!

:25:47. > :25:55.Playing the blue across the face behind the yellow would probably be

:25:56. > :26:00.the better safety shot. He's having a look to see if the reds would be

:26:01. > :26:05.available if he plays safety off the left-hand side. Surely if he comes

:26:06. > :26:09.down the right-hand side just before the middle pocket and nestle into

:26:10. > :26:28.the three reds. Surely that's the shot?

:26:29. > :26:36.Does the bottom red pot? If it z it's a pretty poor shot, but surely

:26:37. > :26:43.he had a look at it. It looks like at least two of those reds go, but

:26:44. > :27:02.actual I think the red goes. You feel you could flick that in,

:27:03. > :27:11.but if both players have seen the situation and decided it's a very

:27:12. > :27:16.cloe risk -- high risk then it certainly doesn't go and it's aivity

:27:17. > :27:33.shot. Both players -- safety shot. Both players have to be careful.

:27:34. > :27:46.I'm thinking this red may just cut to the left middle.

:27:47. > :27:56.Certainly very thin, but if he tries to play a safety shot and get the

:27:57. > :28:01.cue ball back, then that would be a problem. If he does play the thin

:28:02. > :28:05.cut, he wouldn't have much clue where the cue ball is going to go.

:28:06. > :28:26.I'm sure this is cuttable, but maybe he thinks it's too risky.

:28:27. > :28:33.If that was the only thing he could come up with, I suggest he played it

:28:34. > :29:02.into the middle pocket. I get the feeling that the table is

:29:03. > :29:04.playing quicker tonight than his first match. He overstruck that by

:29:05. > :29:38.some way. Tried to recover the situation now

:29:39. > :29:46.with a pot on the green. He's potted a couple of good, long balls, but it

:29:47. > :29:50.just shows you, you miss the easy pink when he was in and that might

:29:51. > :30:02.have just affected his confidence slightly.

:30:03. > :30:06.Played that well. Perfect on the blue, but the reds of a little

:30:07. > :31:03.awkward. That was a risk. Tough shot to take

:31:04. > :31:05.on. You called it, Steve. It was a tough shot, but boy, didn't he play

:31:06. > :31:27.it well? Excellent pot. Played around the back. I thought

:31:28. > :32:27.for a moment he had set up to screw into them.

:32:28. > :32:32.He'll open up the three reds. If this goes right, it should give him

:32:33. > :32:57.the first frame. He will be absolutely disgusted with

:32:58. > :32:59.himself to miss a cannon. It seemed harder to miss than to get. Amazing.

:33:00. > :33:24.He just flicked the red. He's tried to take out the luck

:33:25. > :33:26.element there. As it turned out, it all went wrong. A reprieve for Neil

:33:27. > :33:38.Robertson. A tough clearance with the green

:33:39. > :33:42.where it is, but a chance to get back into the frame at the very

:33:43. > :34:00.least. Opening shot, though, is a tough one.

:34:01. > :34:09.No disgrace in missing that. Very difficult shot off the cushion.

:34:10. > :34:13.Across the table. It was one of those. Straight enough that if you

:34:14. > :34:14.just didn't hit the red in the middle of the pocket you could have

:34:15. > :34:55.run through enough. Fantastic shot. Whilst he's not

:34:56. > :35:01.guaranteed to be on the blue, or on a colour, he's got control of the

:35:02. > :35:04.table. He's going to have a very big advantage if he decide to roll up

:35:05. > :35:23.behind the brown. The classic schoolboy error, John.

:35:24. > :35:28.Unbelievable. He was just trying to get it so tight to the brown to cut

:35:29. > :35:39.off the one-cushion escape that he forgot to hit the brown.

:35:40. > :35:45.If you looked at how many times Dow that and how many times it costs awe

:35:46. > :35:48.frame and a match you would always make sure you hit it, but you still

:35:49. > :35:53.go back to your old ways of making sure you try to get as close as

:35:54. > :36:03.possible. Make it harder for your opponent. You never learn.

:36:04. > :36:13.Steve Maguire may well decide to put him back in. It's a bit risky

:36:14. > :36:22.playing this cut-back. He has decided to put it back in.

:36:23. > :36:36.He could hit it this time and hit it safe. He's had a practice go.

:36:37. > :36:55.This looks good. This looks very good. Well played.

:36:56. > :37:01.If you knew your opponent was going to get out of it the second time

:37:02. > :37:03.perhaps you would have taken it on. You have to weigh up all of the

:37:04. > :37:22.chances. You have to make sure you've got the

:37:23. > :37:27.red behind the pink as well. Good shot.

:37:28. > :37:41.Excellent. He'll do very well here now.

:37:42. > :37:45.It looks like he's obligated to leave the two reds where they are.

:37:46. > :38:22.Why split them up and take the risk? He was in a lot of trouble and he's

:38:23. > :38:48.got it safe. A good attempt to get behind the

:38:49. > :38:52.black. But it was unlikely. Chance for Neil Robertson to get it in

:38:53. > :38:54.behind the brown. The red will come into that middle of the table again,

:38:55. > :39:21.so perhaps he won't choose that. I don't know why he didn't try to

:39:22. > :39:24.play it thinner? Maybe he was a little concerned if he played it

:39:25. > :39:28.thinner that the red - and he didn't cover it with the brown - could have

:39:29. > :39:30.been potable, but he was trying to get the cue ball tight on the

:39:31. > :39:52.cushion and he didn't achieve that. Once again, not the best shot. If

:39:53. > :39:57.you don't get the cue ball tight to the ball cushion you leave your

:39:58. > :40:41.opponent fully expecting to play a better safety shot.

:40:42. > :40:48.Both players could be sitting in their chair with a 1-0 scoreline

:40:49. > :41:00.perhaps with Maguire having had the best chances so far.

:41:01. > :41:05.The first frame can dictate the pattern of the rest of the match,

:41:06. > :41:08.although not necessarily this week at the Masters. There have been so

:41:09. > :41:43.many comebacks. Good try to get behind the brown. An

:41:44. > :41:46.attempt for Neil Robertson that has made much more difficult because of

:41:47. > :42:01.the cueing here. A long way out, as you can see.

:42:02. > :42:05.Whilst he wouldn't have been disappointed to have missed it, he

:42:06. > :42:24.will be disappointed to have missed it by so far.

:42:25. > :42:32.Well, that's maizing. He was only look for the red and the black and

:42:33. > :42:40.he had the first frame in his pocket. How has he missed this?

:42:41. > :42:46.Do you think there's pressure on, knocking out one of the big names of

:42:47. > :42:52.the game? Do you think that comes into the equation? It could do, but

:42:53. > :42:55.what you alluded to. Players set so much store by winning the first

:42:56. > :42:58.frame and you know you were one of them.

:42:59. > :43:07.It gives you a little bit of elbow room, if you like. To have the

:43:08. > :43:12.chances that Stephen's had t will really, really upset him and he is a

:43:13. > :43:15.bit volume time sometimes. Neil Robertson looking at the score

:43:16. > :43:29.board. He's got the chance to knock the green out.

:43:30. > :43:39.He didn't play it. Far be it from me to start picking holes in players'

:43:40. > :43:45.shots and their selections but I thought that's why he left himself

:43:46. > :43:49.there. Keep on the pink. Clear the table.

:43:50. > :43:54.He has played such a poor positional shot on the pink. He should have

:43:55. > :43:56.been playing the cannon on the green now.

:43:57. > :44:39.At some stage, to win the frame he's got to knock the green out.

:44:40. > :44:53.He found a gap there. Between the green and the brown, to get it back

:44:54. > :44:55.up to the ball. He played it as well.

:44:56. > :45:07.It's the only way he could get that red safe.

:45:08. > :47:00.The frame now in it's 38th minute. I would suggest it's going to be the

:47:01. > :47:06.longest frame of the match. I don't think it will be a long, drawn-out

:47:07. > :47:12.affair, because both these players are good potter and -- potters and

:47:13. > :47:14.break builders. This frame will go on a while longer, because one

:47:15. > :47:21.snooker is needed. Plenty of reason nor Neil Robertson

:47:22. > :47:28.to play on -- for Neil Robertson to play on.

:47:29. > :47:31.Brown or the pink look to be the balls at the moment to play snookers

:47:32. > :48:14.behind. A big difference, that. That black

:48:15. > :48:29.is in play for a snookering behind. Looks a bit pacey. Not a bad line,

:48:30. > :49:57.but pacey. It was a snooker, but very easy to

:49:58. > :50:42.hit. Not a bad line. Has it got the pace

:50:43. > :51:03.to go in behind the brown if it touches it?

:51:04. > :51:48.That's a great effort. Awful outcome in some respects, but having said

:51:49. > :51:54.that, you've got to get a good snooker at this level to really get

:51:55. > :52:11.a chance of getting points out of your opponent.

:52:12. > :52:17.It's been a fascinating first frame. Totally different from this

:52:18. > :52:19.afternoon. By now, Ronnie was in the press conference.

:52:20. > :52:33.Certainly in the mid-session interval, I think.

:52:34. > :52:39.Trying to screw off the side cushion and get in behind the black, but

:52:40. > :52:43.didn't get into it enough. So, now, it's two snookers required and Steve

:52:44. > :53:35.Maguire will be feeling a lot more comfortable.

:53:36. > :53:55.It's been a tough first frame to win.

:53:56. > :54:00.Neil Robertson is make is some fantastic efforts to get a snooker

:54:01. > :54:02.here, but it doesn't look like he'll get them. The pink's not too bad

:54:03. > :55:35.now. Neil Robertson won't continue now.

:55:36. > :55:42.Long, drawn-out affair, but it was Steve Maguire who comes out happy.

:55:43. > :55:46.He's one up. It's not often that the opening frame in this show lasts

:55:47. > :55:52.more or less the entire programme, but this is one of those evenings

:55:53. > :55:56.and Ronnie O'Sullivan was 4-0 and hadn't missed a ball. Quite a

:55:57. > :56:00.contrast, John? It can happen. The players miss one or two pots and

:56:01. > :56:04.lose position a little bit, becomes tactical and balls go awkward. It

:56:05. > :56:16.seemed every time somebody got in there was something else lined up.

:56:17. > :56:20.It was 4-0 for owe O'Sullivan then. -- for O'Sullivan. We see that

:56:21. > :56:25.Stephen Maguire has changed over new year. Wasn't happy with his form and

:56:26. > :56:28.a pretty slow start to the season and says he has been practising

:56:29. > :56:31.between matches. He hadn't been doing. He had been using match

:56:32. > :56:35.practice at the table and not doing a great deal in between. He thought

:56:36. > :56:40.he was playing enough to justify his existence that way. Clearly, it's

:56:41. > :56:44.paying dividends? Yeah. Sometimes the season goes one way and you

:56:45. > :56:47.think it's not happening for me, I'll try something different. He

:56:48. > :56:50.might tweak it or find he will be more specific with the practice. Not

:56:51. > :56:54.festally if you do seven hours it will work for you. Sometimes just

:56:55. > :56:57.doing an hour or two on something in particular you haven't been doing

:56:58. > :57:01.well. It's a lot more purposeful. As long as you, as an individual, feel

:57:02. > :57:06.happy with your own standard of practice and what you're working on,

:57:07. > :57:12.you can get confidence. He likened it to a football team playing three

:57:13. > :57:16.matches in a week and then practising set pieces, it's just the

:57:17. > :57:22.nuances? In football you need to be fit. S as you practice with purpose

:57:23. > :57:26.and you feel you're getting something out of it. Tweaking it can

:57:27. > :57:30.be a good thing. Statement of intent from Stephen Maguire, but he needed

:57:31. > :57:34.a good few chances to get over the line. What does that tell us? Both

:57:35. > :57:38.players will have to step up the standard. Back we go. We'll only

:57:39. > :57:49.have a little bit of time to enjoy the opening blows of this second

:57:50. > :57:54.frame. We will be coming off air at 8.00pm and you will be able to spend

:57:55. > :57:57.your Friday night with us at Ally Pally, because this match will

:57:58. > :58:03.continue on the red button and on-line until one of them bags the

:58:04. > :58:07.last of the semifinal spots. John, we talked about Neil Robertson. He

:58:08. > :58:15.has knocked in 66 centuries already this season. That smashes the

:58:16. > :58:19.previous record held by Judd Trump. We haven't got seen the form here

:58:20. > :58:22.this week. He can't produce it every week. At some point he will getter,

:58:23. > :58:39.that's for sure. Maguire has struck the first blood.

:58:40. > :58:43.It's the last of the quarter finals, remember. They are playing for the

:58:44. > :58:50.right to face Ronnie O'Sullivan in tomorrow evening's semifinal. A long

:58:51. > :58:54.way to go. Don't forget I'll be back at 11.05pm. You never know, we might

:58:55. > :58:58.still be live. We'll catch you then. In the meantime, go on-line or the

:58:59. > :59:00.red button.
